Belin Sport & Fitness: what do users think?

Manuel Morillo: I signed up for the six week challenge program with Corey in June with a goal of losing 25lbs. Now after 6 weeks of training and meal prepping, I am that much closer to my goal. I couldn’t make 25lbs due to having less time for outside training, but nonetheless I am extremely happy and pleased with the progress I made and, albeit slowly, continue to make. The program was reasonably priced, even on a student budget, and Corey made the entire process of getting situated easy. Workouts were very intensive and also very well coordinated. If adjustments needed to be made Corey would help every step of the way and do his best to adjust so you can focus on reaching your goal. The added benefit of having an accountability group also helps tremendously when things might seem to get tough. Highly recommend giving Corey a call or a visit, he does great work!

Hanna Haile: Corey is the best trainer I ever had. This program was amazing for me, I have never felt more accomplished after a work out than when I worked out with Corey. The program is exactly what it says it was and I was able to lose what I wanted to lose and create healthy habits for myself. I would definitely recommend this to all of my friends.

Robbie Allen: Corey Belin is the definition of a ninja warrior on and off the field. He genuinely cares about his clients, is extremely professional, and supportive. Moreover, he is a coach, motivator, and pushes you to your full potential. You will definitely see results when you train with Corey. He offers a lot of amazing services for all fitness levels. My personal favorite is his iSpinn class. Forget the bike and get ready to rock out with Corey. He takes you through a high impact workout that’s sure to burn those calories. Trust me when I say, Corey cuts calories (pounds)! Highly recommend!!

Les Frasier: Corey hands down is such an amazing trainer! He pushes you to limits you don’t believe you can achieve. I have tried many trainers but Corey takes it to another level. That spin class is everything!! I can’t get enough and need to sign up for the variety of classes he offers . I have to say I look forward to working out and despite the fact it’s online now, I still feel like I get personalized attention to keep me motivated! Please join take his class you won’t regret it!

Jennifer Cardno: Corey at Belin sport & fitness definitely knows what he is doing. The 6week challenge is an awesome program that actually delivers results! I absolutely love the workouts. They are always different and I feel so much stronger. The best part about this program though is the tailored meal plan which isn’t like anything I’ve done before. It’s not a diet at all but more a lifestyle change. I understand now the effects that certain food have on my body and am more conscious of the food choices I make. After doing the 6week challenge I feel like my best self and can’t wait to keep going!! If you are looking for a more healthy lifestyle and are willing to put in the work and have a great time doing it then yes this is the program for you!

patricia eisner: Corey has been my trainer for over 15 years . And every single class is new and different and challenging. I took spin class without bikes this morning and was reminded how hard I need to work when I take one or corey’sClasses. He is motivating, fun and won’t let you down !!!

Anji Corley: The. Best. Trainer. Ever! Corey and his energy and outgoing personality is one of the best I have ever experienced. I’ve known him for over 20 years and his classes never cease to be boring or make my body feel sore… And wonderful! He is creative, innovative and really wants the best for you you just give him a little time and he will transform your body. His East-good SPIN CLASS WITH NO BIKES it’s been one of my go to for the last 10 years. It is so inventive… It’ll blow your mind oh and 30 minutes you are sweating and you feel good and you can go on about your day.

F45 Training U Street: what do users think?

Lauren Pignataro Rakitin: While the space is a bit small, F45 more than makes up for that with the amazing workouts and community it brings to the neighborhood. The workouts are 45 minutes long (60 on Saturdays), and are accessible but tough. The coaches and people are very supportive and friendly, making this a great workout experience!

Ariel Steinberg: Love this studio, the music, and love the instructors. They have incredible energy which make getting your butt kicked not so bad. As someone who gets bored super easily, this workout is perfect.

SWEAT DC: what do users think?

Ariyana Monee: This is a damn good gym. I will say that I have not necessarily fell in love with every class, BUT i love the welcoming environment, texts, emails, website. The most negative thing I have to say about it is the location. The harassment getting to it is insane. There’s catcalling every time which is draining. I’m sure this isn’t their intention to make female customers feel unsafe but I do wish there were some security or something. My only other con is I wish there were classes that were specifically for intro people. My friend and I did a class today focusing on upper body but it was definitely not beginner friendly in our opinion. So we won’t do that class anymore. The HIIT classes tho.. those so far have been AMAZING & beginner friendly!!

Ali Tharrington: I have been a member of SWEAT DC now since May 2021. I love this place dearly. Seriously challenging workouts with super supportive coaches and a great atmosphere that makes me feel like family. Worth every penny I spend on their “unlimited” membership. I go every weekday before work and never have trouble parking. I take a mix of their Sweat X (HIIT) and SSC (strength training with weights) and love having the flexibility to build my own schedule. I anticipate being a member for a long time to come!

Kara Terrell: Great instructors that push you to focus on becoming the best version of yourself. I took two 60 minute classes and one 30 minute class - all were challenging but I loved the fast pace of the 30 minute class the most. We rowed, hit the ropes then worked our cores on the floor. #feelingstrong

Becky Rose Bitar: SWEAT DC is an AMAZING full body workout with great instructors who always have high energy, positive attitudes, and passion for what they do. They offer a wide range of classes for whatever you are looking for. The instructors are very accommodating if you have an injury or need a modification for any reason. The members are very friendly and offer a "community" experience every time you go. Not to mention the studio is always spotless and smells great (very important in gym). Branden Allen is one of their best trainers, although they are all amazing. GREAT GYM!

Alex Landau: I LOVE Sweat DC! It’s everything I was looking for in a gym. It feels like a personal training session in a group setting. The coaches and front desk staff are top notch- they’re supportive, encouraging, and just really nice people. They know your name and take the time to establish personal connections. I enjoy the workouts (they’ve pushed me to work harder than I ever have) and can already feel mental and physical changes in 6 weeks. I like the Sweat DC routine and how it’s the same each class but the exercises change and there’s fun equipment to use too. I didn’t think I would like having to schedule/sign up for each class but it has actually forced me to be more consistent with my workouts and establish self discipline with going on days even when I don’t feel like working out (afterwards I’m always glad that I went!). Thank you Sweat DC for the opportunity to be my best self and of course, get sweaty! ;)

Whitney Stringer: From personal training sessions to the variety of classes, Sweat DC is a true gem. Their entire coaching staff has such great energy, it’s contagious. The workouts will challenge you in a good way. I also love the music. Sometimes “workout” mixes leave you with corny versions of good songs, but not here. The low lights in class let you really focus on why you’re there , and bonus points that they’re a local small brand that welcomes everybody!

Morenike Ayo-Vaughan: I never write reviews but I came here to emphasize how awesome this space is! Coach G is a fun instructor who always challenges me every single time I take his class. I definitely feel like I get a fantastic workout in 45 minutes. The STRONG and HIIT classes are the TRUTH! Also, this is a small business and this is a small business worth supporting!

Barry's Dupont Circle: what do users think?

Scott Harriford: Barry’s is an amazing workout. The high energy instructors and great music combined with the intense workout make Barry’s standout from other HIIT gyms. Even if you don’t workout there- you’ve gotta try a protein shake. The Barry’s and Brunch smoothie was off the chart- perfect consistency and flavor.

Mary Tablante: A great and challenging workout! The instructors give clear instructions and push you to work your hardest. Remember you can always modify especially if you’re a beginner. Love the high tempo music too. I felt safe because they check for vaccination, have mask protocols, and the class size seemed limited.

Clayton Meyer: Such a good workout. I’m in pretty good shape but WOW was this a challenge. I haven’t done a Barry’s class in two years. It was a blast and the instructor was great. I wouldn’t recommend this for someone who is first trying to get in shape but once they hit a good level of fitness to give it a shot. My recommended indicator would be feeling comfortable running 2 miles at an 8:00 pace.

Peyton Doyle: As a former Orangetheory member, I was curious how Barry’s compared. I can now certainly say I enjoy Barry’s more, though the format of the classes are fairly comparable (no tower though!). The space is gorgeous, constantly cleaned and obviously new. The staff is kind and energetic. The locker rooms are awesome and the towels are so soft. Someone was standing outside the room once the class ended with ice-cold washcloths which was beyond. The ability to preorder smoothies that are ready when your class ends was so extra, but an undeniably delicious and convenient perk. Try Barry’s out– I bet you’ll enjoy it!

Ryan Betka: The most welcoming fitness community I’ve ever met along with a killer workout. Great coaches, location, service and overall experience. Try it out, and Eric and his team will make you feel like part of the Barry’s family right away.

Robert Rains: A top notch, spotless facility and attentive staff greet you as you enter the Dupont circle location. Order a smoothie, it will be ready by the time you’re finished working out. An immaculate locker room with lockers that don’t require you to bring your own lock and spa-level toiletries for your post-workout routine. The workouts are highly engaging and challenging with an uptempo pace and emphasis on time, not repetitions. Pulsing music and lighting give the workouts a distinct feel from other HIIT workouts. You May already know that Barry’s is expensive but you can see where the money is going. It’s worth it. It’s worth your money and it’s especially worth your sweat.

Jessica Carpenter: I LOVE this class. Whenever I am in DC for work I tried to pop in for a class or two. I love the camaraderie with the others in the class and the competitive group edge pushes me to finish that last all out sprint. It is quite pricey without a membership BUT I can definitely feel the burn the next day. The Oribe products in the locker rooms are a nice touch as well as the Lululemon clothing selection in the lobby. Please open a studio in the Tampa Bay area! This class is so much better than the Orange Theory Fitness studios we have on every corner.

Reformation Fitness: what do users think?

DC Techie: Wanted to love the class/studio but had a mediocre experience. Few modifications provided during abs class made for a precarious situation for first timers. Teacher did not seem to notice anyone but the regulars. Room was packed. The sequence went too quickly. Given the class type, may have benefited from less moves or more repetition so we could work on form rather than struggle to get set up. Positives: clean studio with water dispenser and lockers. Variety of classes offered. Good AC and cool temperature in classroom

Bonafide Experiment: IMO, this is the best gym in DC. Love the energy of trainers and attendees here. The trainers are inspiring, professional, and attentive to each one’s posture and growth. They also have a supportive community where you feel welcomed even when you come here for the first time. I have been following their virtual classes but can’t wait to go back and take pilates classes when the summer ends.

Allie Medack: Awesome classes. Every time I go, I know I’m going to get a great workout. Whether you’re a beginner or someone who has worked out for years and loves to be pushed, the instructors tailor the class to your intensity levels and needs. This is my favorite studio in DC.

Lauren Kane: The trainers know you by name and it feels like a community. Any issues with passes are resolved swiftly and effectively. Really awesome staff. I moved from around the corner from the gym to all the way out in Maryland and I will still gladly drive the 40 minutes to go to a class at Reformation Fitness any day.

Caitlin Baker: The workouts are always well thought out and challenging and the teachers are awesome. The studio has a great community feel and the prices are reasonable. My favorite workout studio in DC!

Washington Sports Clubs - Glover Park: what do users think?

My Comment: Great neighborhood gym. Staff there -- Mahlape, Olga, Luis -- who are there in the mornings are friendly and quick to help if you have questions. You get a neighborhood vibe from the place as compared to the nameless big gyms. Especially during the pandemic you can see the extra effort they put in to keep the place clean, open, and welcoming. They make you feel part of a family. Glad to be a Glover Park member.

Jason Yeung: Been a member for several months now. I’ve haven’t had a negative experience with team members. The people that workout here are also very respectful and friendly. In response to a negative review of a team member I wanted to share my experience with her. Towards me, she’s always been friendly and hospitable. She does her best to remember everyone by name and notices when your workout buddy isn’t with you, even to the point of asking if they’re ok. The lack of a 5th star is not because of the staff. I wish there were bumper plates, another squat rack, and high quality barbells. That’s most likely a corporate issue.

Ricardo Martinez: I must disagree with a previous review. Malape is a value member of the gym, she is courteous, polite and nice in general. If there is a piece of equipment that is behind the desk, she would gladly point it to me so I can grab it (due to COVID). Luis is another great asset to the gym, he always looks to have everything ready and clean for us to workout early in the morning, always say hi with a smile and good attitude. I am appreciative of their work.

John Byrne: This is a great sports club with a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Mahlape has always been an incredible asset -- friendly, professional and knowledgeable -- and Luis keeps everything extremely clean. The club was renovated a few years ago, and there is great equipment and a lot of space. Also, very easy to get to on Wisconsin Avenue.

Alexandre B. Sagna: I love ❤️ being part of Washington Sport Club Glover Park. The whole staff is friendly 😊. Brought two of my buddies to train with me and they loved it. Yes it’s tiny that’s true so if you don’t like being close to each other I recommend not to come around pick time 😊.

Joao Pedro: Very friendly staff and great customer service! I also want to kindly disagree with what was said in the latest review since I believe that the “older black woman”, as she was referred, is actually a valuable member and a very nice person who contributes a lot to the gym with her nice work. I only have great words to say about the whole team that works there. The gym is always super clean. The machines are well maintained, and there’s a good number of ergs, so I don’t have to wait to do my cardio.

Will Wu: Great budget gym in Glover Park. Been a member for almost a year and never had any problems with them. Would recommend

Vinicio Aguirre: Wsc Glover is a gym that I highly recommend to the neighborhood or anyone looking to go have a good workout. It’s had major changes since the original Covid transitions. The people there are welcoming and enthusiastic when it comes to its members. If you are an individual that is somewhat of a germaphobe, there is an employee by name of Shanica who works hard keeping the cleanliness of the gym to its highest standards. She makes sure the antibacterial wipes are always stocked and the workout rooms as well as mats are cleaned daily. Overall I believe you come to the gym you’ll agree with my review.

Bernard Holland: I have not been to WSC Glover Park since the pandemic and plan to rejoin when things quiet down. Before that I was there most days for ten years. The elderly black woman Lizzie was referring to is Mahlape who has been there for more than 20 years. Mahlape is the glue that holds that club together. All the people I know that attended the club adored Mahlape. I cannot imagine her being rude undeservedly to anyone. Moreover I have seen a few altercations between staff and members in my time at the club. Invariably it was the members who were at fault.

FIT360 DC: what do users think?

Gaby Madrid: FIT360DC is the BEST gym in DC!! 👏🏽👏🏽 They go above and beyond to make sure that everyone is staying safe and healthy during the pandemic. They also have a variety of workout options to fit your comfort level. I absolutely loved their in-person classes!! I recently moved and have joined their virtual classes. The virtual classes are just as challenging and engaging as the in-person classes. Brian, Edgar, and Amina hold it down for folks on the virtual side, and have kept me from turning into a couch potato 🙃💕

Ariyana Monee: Great gym. Just wish there was more (and safer) parking , especially in evenings.

Rizwaan Akhtar: An amazingly effective and inclusive gym. Though I left this gym a year ago due to a move, I still credit my physical wellness today to Brian and FIT360. Because of their both challenging and welcoming environment, I not only grew stronger and healthier, but I feel like I have a solid foundational knowledge to build on. I credit this a lot to Brian’s unique and effective instruction. Especially now after joining a new gym after my move from DC, I’ve really come to appreciate how high-touch their support is. I wouldn’t be able to weightlift, do kettlebell exercises, or use other equipment safely and confidently in my new gym today if it wasn’t for FIT360. Their trainers actually take the time to carefully instruct, give feedback, and keep you safe. Also this gym totally raised the bar for me in terms of what to look for in my new city. A gym can both motivate you to show up and know you’ll be welcome, and it can challenge you to be a stronger, faster, and fitter version of yourself.

Golzar Meamar: I was struggling to find a way to get back into strength training and moving my body intentionally during the pandemic. I am very lucky to live around the corner from this gem of a community gym! During the COVID-19 pandemic, Fit360 DC has been very communicative, flexible, and innovative when it comes to helping its members workout safely. The outdoor classes are challenging and efficient, and are completely masked and distanced, which has made them that much more valuable to me during the pandemic! The coaches are also informative and helpful, and challenge us consistently!

Cut Seven Logan Circle (Indoor + Online): what do users think?

Ava Fitzpatrick: Cut Seven is more than just a boutique workout class, it’s a community. I was invited by a friend and initially purchased an intro package (you can’t beat 7 for $7). I got hooked and now I’m a member! The workouts are challenging, the instructors are energetic and push you to take it to the next level, and every time I come to class I make a new friend. Their team based approach creates an encouraging environment no matter what your skill level is. As a healthcare professional, I also appreciate the precautions and protocol they implemented during the pandemic to keep everyone safe. I highly recommend trying a class, you won’t be disappointed!

Isabella More: Cut Seven is amazing! I have done so many different boutique fitness classes and can say, without hesitation, Cut Seven absolutely feels like the best bang for your fitness buck in all of DC. The exercises are always really fun and inventive, and they make use of so many different types of equipment. The classes are very challenging, but you get through it with the help and encouragement of the incredibly sweet instructors and “captains.” Even the other people taking the classes with you are always SO NICE and make you feel welcome and like part of the team. (Seriously, I cannot say enough about how nice all the people are.)

Angelica Serna: Cut Seven is hands-down one of the best workouts I’ve ever done. It’s challenging while still such a blast and every class is something new. The team and community that Cut has built is so unique and a huge draw. You feel supported by those around you (accountability!) and safe, as the coaches constantly correct and adjust you as necessary (or push you harder). Cut Seven is fun and effective yet not pushy—that’s a hard combination to find, in my experience !

Melissa Sullivan: LOVE this studio! From the workout, to the instructors, to the fellow athletes, everything at Cut Seven is all around awesome. Chris and Alex, the owners, have created a fitness experience that cannot be beat. If you’re looking for a challenging yet fun class, I implore you to give it a shot. The team based atmosphere is as inspiring as it is motivational. Walk in a stranger leave a (super sweaty) friend.

Mike Muller: I’ve gone to this studio on and off since the beginning, and always make a point to take a class or two when I’m back in DC after moving several years ago. The class is hard but scalable, unintimidating with athletes of all levels taking class. What they’ve done with the outdoor spaces and ingenuity over the pandemic has been impressive and they’re now getting back to indoor classes so I’m sure the cardio is about to get turned way back up. 10/10 recommend!

Lyric Hyatt: This gym is great and offers free personal training to active duty military members. They also offer group fitness classes and have three floors with a paddleball court, cardio machines, free weights and resistance machines, tons of workout accessories and locker rooms on two floors for men and women with showers.

Luke Hahn: Kept extremely clean with well kept equipment. Some places will need some extra ventilation still is a great and versatile facility for a DC gym.

Burt Melzer: Great gym and fitness center. Good choice of cardio items as well as weights. This is on base so you need access to base to be able to get on.

Eric Driest: Has all the equipment to get a good workout in, can be crowded during the morning hours 🏋️💪

Vanessa Amaya: Great staff, very clean and organized gym!

Planet Fitness: what do users think?

J Peter Loftus: I’ve been working out at planet fitness in ivy city since 2015. The facilities are always clean and professionally managed. The staff are friendly and courteous people. There are always options even if the free weights and smith machines are taken so no excuses. Once you figure out the best time for your workout it is easier to set a schedule. Being open 24 hours is an advantage one must not ignore. Many times I have had a burst of energy at 3am and gone to work out there.

Lexie Rock: Very friendly staff and clean Planet Fitness! Javon is the best. Recommend parking in the garage. It’s free if you validate your ticket before leaving (if you’re there under 90 minutes you don’t need to validate). A great price for a nice gym. I used the hydrobeds as well. They’re awesome for post workout. The lockers also have locks attached to them which is nice. Pro tip: put in your phone the number and code of the locker you picked. The gym is on the second floor but they have an elevator if you need it. There’s also a bike rack right outside of the door and metered street parking.

Erica Phillips, M.A., Resident in Counseling: The facilities are clean. It’s very easy to get in and out to use equipment without any major waits. The staff always greets you with a smile and a hello which is such positive energy to get you motivated for your workout. The lockers come with built in locks that you enter a code to use, so no bother carrying around bulky locks anymore. If you are forgetful put the code in your phone! While I’ve had no need to use the shower area since I live so close, I would not hesitate to use them if I needed to as they are always clean. I have Black Card membership and the hydro waterbed massage is always great after a workout. I would just recommend that they add the stretching cage to the facility.

Gisselle Ramirez Orozco: I like that the place is very organized, has clean installations, respects the covid protocols, the restrooms and lockers work very well. You have a lot of variety to do a workout with the machines, and finally, the staff is kind and patient. Additionally, you have the hydromassage, which is amazingly relaxing. I definitely would recommend having the membership and joining this gym!

Vlad Z: I worked out here while visiting DC (from NY) and this Is the best planet fitness I’ve ever visited. Plenty machines all on one floor, huge space, lots of light, great staff.

Jeremy Albrecht: Not bad. Cant make too many complaints about a gym that only costs 20 something a month. I have only been twice, but it is about what I expected. The temp is a tad hot in there on sunny days but all else is wonderful.

Equinox Sports Club Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

David Gershman: Today I signed up and had a great experience. Mike, in membership, not only showed me around- they answered every question with full clarity, gave me far more insight than I expected, and was simply very nice and sweet. I knew I was going to get a membership going in, but it’s nice to get warmth and comfort instantly upon arrival. Felt like I was one of the regular folks

TPMT Associates: Love it here as usual - they take care of the place and most importantly, the people who works out here take care of the place and is clean and tidy and doesn’t trash the place. As usual, it’s the people who come to gyms that are the messy/dirty and this place doesn’t have those ppl - not that I saw anyways!

John Heinemann: You get what you pay for. This gym doesn’t make sense for everyone, no one is a better person for going here, and a free gym in an apartment building is going to do 90% of what Equinox does. But the other 10%? I actually look forward to working out more when there’s both a sauna and a steam room, a saltwater pool, luxury bath products, memory foam floors for stretching, and refrigerators full of Eucalyptus infused face towels. I go for the amenities, and then I just decide to work out because I’m already there.

Humble Beast Fit: what do users think?

Michael Lai: When moving into the city, I needed a new workout spot and humble beast Crossfit provided that. Knowledgeable coaches and strong (no pun intended) community. It even has a barbell club for those burnt out on Crossfit! Everything is in kilos so be sure you know how to convert from pounds

Melissa Hickey: Excellent cross fit gym. Extremely knowledgeable coaches, strong community, good vibe/energy. Would highly recommend to athletes just getting into lifting/crossfit--great environment for hands-on and holistic learning.

Lenka Collakova: Great 3 day drop in! Very friendly coaches (thank you Melissa and Claire!) and members. Very relaxed atmosphere. Great workouts. And Melissa gave me a list of restaurants, too! 😀

Albert Cheng: Jeff and Lindsay run an awesome fitness business. They quickly find out your goals and tailor a program to meet those goals. I highly recommend them for anyone who is trying to meet their fitness goals in life.

Adam Murphy: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityLindsey and Jeff are by far the most knowledgeable and friendliest people in the world! This gym is the best!

kevin maloy: Positive: Communication, ProfessionalismDropped in- coaches and members all extremely welcoming! Great workout and experience! Will be back!

Gladwin Gilman: Had my first class ever in my life and to say I enjoyed myself is an understatement. I’m on the curvier plus size and felt included and welcome in the class. It was small and vaccination records were required. Our instructor Natalie Rico made us feel even more welcomed and she was so patient and we are 10000 percent coming back. Washington Sports Clubs - Columbia Heights: what do users think?

Conor O'Reilly: I had a personal training session with Phil and he did a great job! He taught me a lot about free weights and stretching. Now I feel more comfortable to use the more advanced equipment. They also have a pool, sauna, and basketball court. Love this place

Mahvash Edrissi: I started going to gym a month ago, first it was difficult to come out after so long time lock down. But after few days I got used to it now i want to go there everyday. Friendy staff, and clean place, and all equipment makes this place great. I do my exercise, take a shower and saunas, afterwards I feel great about myself. Thank you wsc

Planet Fitness: what do users think?

Honor Savoy: The gym is very clean. The tanning beds are excellent. There is ALWAYS someone at the from desk happy to assist you as soon as you walk in the door. I joined this location because of Nina. She took so much time explaining every aspect of membership to me. She was very pleasant, polite and helpful. She is an excellent representation of the Planet Fitness Brand.

Eric Cottner: The best location I have visited thus far around the DMV. Convenient location and parking. Great staff and clean facilities. Well maintained and newer equipment. Never an issue with overcrowding or unavailable machines/equipment. There is an abundance of space and areas if you need to socially distance or simply free style your own routine. Even the clients are respectful of time and the occupancy of areas. As a black card member and frequent traveler I have utilized PF locations across the U.S. and this is one of my personal favorites. Much appreciation to the staff and community!

Rashidah Hardy: I love this location. Its always clean. Lots of machines to choose from. The staff is very friendly and always there to assist you. Parking lot is well lit at night. Also I always see a MPD car sitting in the parking lot so I feel safe coming in and out alone at dark hours. I love the hydro beds! Nothing like getting a good workout in then a massage. Kennedy has to be my favorite employee there he is so patient, informative and professional. Also the people that come to workout out here have a chill, friendly vibe that I have encountered. I’m happy I found my new gym!

Meemee 81: The staff is awesome. They always greet you with a warm welcome and tell you to “have a good workout!” It’s super motivating. The gym is clean and they are actually constantly cleaning while you are working out. This helps to ease my anxiety about germs They also enforce the mask mandates lowering the risk of CoVid exposure. Also it’s 5 mins from my home. 10 out of 10!

Elizabeth Herbert: I transferred my PF membership to the Penn Branch location in October & I absolutely love it! It’s huge, there’s a lot of new equipment and it’s never overly crowded. They have a free parking lot with tons of spaces & the gym is always super clean — inside & out. The staff & members are also really respectful & friendly! They’re mindful of covid procedures (wearing masks, socially distancing, etc.), there are sanitizing stations all over the facility & the members are fully vaccinated. I always have a great workout whenever I go & I’ve recommended this location to my friends! One of the best PF’s I’ve been to.

Trestan L. McCloud: I have had an overall well experience with the staff and guests at this planet fitness. However I was heavily harassed by my general manager and targeted multiple times in an attempt to have me lose my job which was eventually proven truthful as several current employees have sent text messages stating that Ms. Tasha has been telling everyone that would listen that she was “tired of being nice” to me etc. Overall my feelings are truly hurt because I really enjoyed my time with planet fitness and would have given anything for my time to have ended on better terms

Nikkia Watson: Love it here. Everyone is always so friendly..New and old employees. They make you feel excited to workout here. It’s always clean all the equipment is always in place, you don’t have to search for dumbbells!!!

Marcus Brady: This is a convenient location for me so that’s one of the reasons why I canceled my membership with another gym. Since I’ve been a black card membership, I have received VIP customer service from the staff, clean and safe atmosphere, working and available equipment, and a relaxing massage chair after my workout. I want to personally thank Nina, Tim, Leandre, and Trestan for always greeting me at the door and making me feel like a valued customer. Keep up the good work! Overall, this Planet Fitness is the place to BE.

Equinox Anthem Row: what do users think?

Stephanie C: Some of the best group fitness instructors and personal trainers I’ve ever met!! Love their classes

Crissi Luv: I love this gym. Spa like and tranquil. The classes are a1. Times are great. Classes all day.

Ryan D: When it comes to a gym, you get what you pay for, and, although this is a bit pricey and restrictive, that added benefits make me want to go to the gym. Excellent free weight section and class offerings. My only suggestion--extend closing hour from 8:00 pm to 10:00 p.m.

Evan Long: Everything you’d expect from the brand, and very seldom crowded except at absolute peak times. They’ve taken enhanced sanitation seriously given COVID, and I particularly appreciate that they kept their word and allowed me to break my one-year contract a couple months early when I moved away.

Wallace Bachman: So glad Equinox has found its way into DC proper! This location is spacious by New York Equinox standards, both on the floor, which is a single floor with ample natural light, and the men’s locker room. It’s very clean, the staff are friendly and beautiful, and everything is in great repair. I’ve never been to an Equinox where the stretching area was so well-equipped (bands etc etc) and well organized. The Juice Press was small and didn’t have much, but that seems to be the way of Equinox juice bars over the last several years. 😢

Ultimate Performance Personal Trainers DC: what do users think?

Dian Stevens: I started working at the DC location of Ultimate Performance in November 2021. I was in drastic need of a reset. I gained weight during the pandemic, thanks to many poor choices on my part, and I knew that I needed to take some action. Ultimate Performance exceeded my expectations. I worked with the amazing Owen Browne. Owen is a dedicated fitness professional. Owen is patient, calm, and invested in helping each of his clients achieve their fitness goals. I felt safe with Owen and enjoyed how he consistently challenged me. Please do, however, watch out for Owen with his rep counts. He always seemed to add a few extra reps just when I thought I was done. Ultimate Performance has a unique atmosphere. The gym is immaculate and everyone knows your name. All of the trainers take the time to motivate every client in the gym. Another bonus is watching the trainers work on their own fitness. The trainers all look amazing, of course, but there is no resting on laurels at Ultimate Performance. The trainers challenge each other just as they challenge the clients. It is a great motivator. I am grateful to Owen for helping me shed 28 pounds. In addition, my cardio endurance has improved, my clothes fit again, and I feel great both physically and mentally. So, if you are tired of watching the numbers on the scale climb ever higher, tired of the mental fog, tired of making excuses, and positively fed up with purchasing compression garments to fit in your clothes, then you should definitely consider Ultimate Performance. Working with Ultimate Performance has been one of my best decisions. I recommend Ultimate Performance without hesitation.

Henry Defriez: Fully recommended to anyone seeking to achieve big weight loss or other fitness goals. I have been working with UP for just over two months, and am halfway to my weight loss goal (30 pounds so far). My trainer, Evelyn, has been a fantastic guide and motivator in our sessions, but also outside the gym in monitoring my nutrition plan and helping me stay on track while travelling (picking restaurant menus, preparing hotel gym sessions etc.) While the focus is naturally on hard work, the atmosphere in the gym is friendly, supportive and relaxed. It’s not cheap, but it’s definitely worth it for the physical and mental health benefits, especially if like me you have been struggling to make those gains by yourself.

Alexander Ragonese: I’ve been working out with Robert at UP for a little over 6 weeks now. While I’m excited I’ve lost over 13 lbs, I am more excited how dramatically the UP program has improved my quality of life. I have more energy, think more clearly and am happier overall. I initially signed up thinking I would give this a try for a month and likely quit but I now struggle to imagine my life without the UP program. While it is expensive, you absolutely get what you pay for. The program is personalized and Robert is constantly available for my questions to ensure I stay on track in and out of the gym. I can’t wait to see what they next 6 weeks bring.

Brian Weiss: DO IT! It’s not just that Ultimate Performance and the program gets results (it does... I’m down 50+ pounds!), but it’s also a complete mind and body change that sets you up for long-term success. It really is training in the broadest sense, because yes, it includes strength and lifting, but it also teaches good habits on nutrition, hydration, sleep and overall wellness. The program emphasizes the interconnectedness of these elements with a cool app and a trainer who is always there for you (whether you’re in the gym or not). As for the gym in DC… a totally supportive community where the team knows your name, and everyone roots for one another. Special shout out to Gavin – a first-rate trainer who built a custom program for me (that drew on his deep knowledge about the science of fitness) and pushed me through every obstacle to get the results he said were possible on the day we met. He was right. Like I said, DO IT!

Alvin Saha: I HIGHLY recommend Ultimate Performance DC! My trainer, Malik Carter, has kept me motivated and stays on top of my nutrition every day. Without him, I would have not been able to achieve the progress that I’ve made so far. In 3 months, I have lost 15 pounds and have significantly reduced my body fat%. I went back and forth with myself for weeks before I joined UP, and I am very glad that I finally decided to make the leap. In fact, I’m so satisfied that I just signed up for another 3 month package so that I can continue my progress towards my body goals.

Lee Ann C.: No matter what age you are (I’m 64!) or what shape you’re in, you will feel welcome at UP, and you will have the best gym experience of your life. My personal trainer, Jonathan Cardenas, is world class. He’s laser-focused on my workout, making sure that I’m doing each exercise in the safest, most effective way possible. He creates meal plans tailored to my nutritional needs, and he provides guidance on what to order when I’m eating out. Best of all, Jonathan is tuned in to what motivates me. At UP, you will not get a “cookie-cutter” gym experience. This is a gym that is focused on you, the individual. The results you get will astound you.

CrossFit DC: what do users think?

Mike Eason: Dropped in when I was in DC for a short trip. The coach and members were very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely go back if I am back in DC.

Marco Enriquez: Great coaches! They provide solid feedback every session and they work with you to find suitable exercise substitutes (scaling options) if needed. Classes are fun and challenging. Bonus: good COVID-19 protocols in place.

Erika Oliver: Loved this gym! My husband and I dropped in while visiting DC. We originally tried another gym on H street earlier in the week, but I wish we had come to DC Northeast earlier! We loved the facility, the coaches were friendly and the workout was great. When dropping in you can pay $25 for a shirt and the class fee, which is a good deal! If I lived in DC this is the gym I would go to!

Vincent Chen: Great gym filled with very helpful coaches

Geoff Orazem: I generally work out at their U street location but this one is great too, a little more room and equally solid quirky fun coaches and community. No gym bros here just professionals who are trying to find time to get fit and have a laugh. All the thumbs up, highly recommend

James Thomley: After trying out several other Crossfit gyms I finally landed at Crossfit DC. The camaraderie I feel every time I take a class is hard to match in ANY gym. The coaches are attentive without seeming unapproachable and the attention to detail, especially regarding safety, exceeds expectations. I have found my Crossfit home in DC and will be here as long as they are.

Mike P: The space is great. Reminiscent of old school CrossFit. The programming is solid and the coaches are all friendly and knowledgeable. Clientele are all friendly and great people, too. Age ranges from 20-60 and everyone has a great time.
