Balance Gym Thomas Circle: what do users think?

J: I was visiting DC and did a few CrossFit drop in classes. The coaches were excellent and welcoming, and all of the class members were very friendly. The facility is excellent. Thanks for making my visit so nice.

Alistair Perumal: Used this gym for a month in DCReally enjoyed the atmosphere and most especially the Sanitized environmentWould go again!

Jack Sykstus: Was a long time member. Went to both Thomas Circle and Foggy Bottom locations frequently. Great gym in the DC area, and live the CrossFit programming. Tons of options for fitness there. Go if you can.

Kristin Dion: The staff was friendly, the facilities seemed clean, hand sanitizer was well stocked, and the classes have been helpful!

Obi Asemota: I joined this gym with my wife about a year ago after seeing how well kept the place is, and how professional the staff and trainers conducted themselves. We’ve been doing our evening work outs ever since, and I must say, the ties we’ve made with the people here are just beyond words. One of the best gyms in DC, without a doubt.

Caetie Ofiesh: Easily the best gym in the city, reasonably priced and a great workout atmosphere - nice but not fancy, lots of people serious about fitness. Ive gotten some of my best training advice from staff there, Michael, Stacy, Aesha and others.

Brendan Gregory: Really awesome gym! Lots of squat racks and bars on the second floor. First floor is just for cross fit but the rest of the building is for regular gym members. They also have personal training in a separate studio right on 14th Street.

David Lapidus: Fantastic gym. Have been a member since 2012 (Thomas Circle location) and been happy the whole time. Plenty of squat racks and places to perform olympic lifts. GREAT membership options especially compared to the bloodsucking national chain gyms.

VIDA Fitness Gallery Place: what do users think?

Ignacio Vera Loza: Very nice environment, kind staff and good housekeeping. Not usually crowded and a very flexible operating hours. It doesn’t hurt to have a salon there which I also visited. I would like some more leg exercise equipment but, regarding the rest, is very complete. I am really enjoying my membership here. The location is also very convenient!

Luke Dawson: Went here at the last minute before catching a flight. Unlike other nearby gyms, allowed for visitor pass without knowing a member. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Great facility and equipment as well.

Eugene Anderson: This is one of my favorite gyms anywhere. It’s a perfect size for a central, downtown location. They have the latest equipment including the Woodway treadmills which are great for those with knee joint issues. They have lots of rubber plate weights & platforms for deadlifts & cleans. They have my spin bikes with Coach by Color system which is great in a spin class or using alone sigh the bike app. The gym is clean & well designed. It can get crowded during before 9am & after 5pm rush, but nothing too bad. Friendly staff make it my gym of choice in DC.

Zachary Curtis: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityOverall really great gym. They have handled reopening during the pandemic even better than my high expectations. I feel extremely safe with their well thought out cleaning and social distancing procedures.

Wesley Swanzy: Clean gym, friendly staff, and it is my go-to when I visit DC.

Julia Ormond: I started off going to the U St location because I read bad reviews here for Gallery Place, but honestly was very satisfied and happy with my experience at this location! Locker rooms are very nice, there’s ample space in the stretching area, a lot of cardio machines, and overall very nice employees. Ignore the bad reviews here and give it shot yourself visiting this location/using this gym! It made me happy and I am now going to this location instead U St moving forward!

Orangetheory Fitness: what do users think?

Danielle Guido: I like that Orange Theory workouts have a lot of variety, in both the layout of each class (moving between rower, treadmill, and floor) and the goals of each workout (endurance and/or strength). The workout makes you work, pushing me harder than I would push myself on my own, and goes by quickly as you listen to the instructor and move between each section. I also appreciate how friendly and helpful the staff is. Initially, I thought it was a little overkill to have to be there 30 minutes prior to my first workout, but that time was valuable to learn how the class works, what to expect, get setup with a heart rate monitor, and review any injuries that the instructor should be aware of. All in all, it was a great experience!

Isabella Pacheco: The music was a tad loud and I found a bit hard to listen to the instructor (but I think that was just how the instructor was managing the mic etc) The rest was great. The usual really good lots of calories burned workout. I was specially impressed by the way they were ready to receive me with paperwork and a locker as well as water for me to take into my class. Felt very welcomed!

Will Trokey: Love my home studio! I have been a member of Orangetheory for over 2 years, and I continue to LOVE this workout. No two workouts are ever the same. The staff at this studio is very friendly and accommodating. They help you understand the policies and work with you on the technology involved. Plus, they added a towel service which I know is not offered at other studios outside of DC area to stay competitive with the intense gym market. You can customize your own workout, so if you are looking for a new challenge but feel intimidated check Orangetheory out.

Sarah Wingert: I really enjoy this location of OTF. The coaches are very helpful, energetic, and kind. The front desk is also very welcoming and friendly. It is a supportive environment for improving your health and fitness. Even when the class is super challenging, the coaches encourage you and keep it fun.

Reformation Fitness: what do users think?

DC Techie: Wanted to love the class/studio but had a mediocre experience. Few modifications provided during abs class made for a precarious situation for first timers. Teacher did not seem to notice anyone but the regulars. Room was packed. The sequence went too quickly. Given the class type, may have benefited from less moves or more repetition so we could work on form rather than struggle to get set up. Positives: clean studio with water dispenser and lockers. Variety of classes offered. Good AC and cool temperature in classroom

Bonafide Experiment: IMO, this is the best gym in DC. Love the energy of trainers and attendees here. The trainers are inspiring, professional, and attentive to each one’s posture and growth. They also have a supportive community where you feel welcomed even when you come here for the first time. I have been following their virtual classes but can’t wait to go back and take pilates classes when the summer ends.

Allie Medack: Awesome classes. Every time I go, I know I’m going to get a great workout. Whether you’re a beginner or someone who has worked out for years and loves to be pushed, the instructors tailor the class to your intensity levels and needs. This is my favorite studio in DC.

Lauren Kane: The trainers know you by name and it feels like a community. Any issues with passes are resolved swiftly and effectively. Really awesome staff. I moved from around the corner from the gym to all the way out in Maryland and I will still gladly drive the 40 minutes to go to a class at Reformation Fitness any day.

Caitlin Baker: The workouts are always well thought out and challenging and the teachers are awesome. The studio has a great community feel and the prices are reasonable. My favorite workout studio in DC!

Lauren Pignataro Rakitin: While the space is a bit small, F45 more than makes up for that with the amazing workouts and community it brings to the neighborhood. The workouts are 45 minutes long (60 on Saturdays), and are accessible but tough. The coaches and people are very supportive and friendly, making this a great workout experience!

Ariel Steinberg: Love this studio, the music, and love the instructors. They have incredible energy which make getting your butt kicked not so bad. As someone who gets bored super easily, this workout is perfect.

Orangetheory Fitness: what do users think?

Rod Thomas: 1st Visit: The team was friendly and welcoming. It made me less nervous before meeting the coach. Luke is such an engaging and motivating coach. He was awesome. The workout class was challenging but oh so worth it. I’ll definitely be back on Thursday. Update: I joined in May. The coaches, the classes, and the location is amazing. I have recommended OTF to all of my colleagues, neighbors, and friends. Love Coach Jihad, Coach Maddie, and Coach Luke- OTF on 14th is my favorite.

James Melgarejo: First time at this gym. Was visiting DC from NJ and took a 2G 45min class. Everyone including the coach was great! Highly recommend OTF!! 🔥🧡

Sarah B: I love this location. Admittedly it’s my home gym, but I wouldn’t pay for workouts every month if I didn’t love the OTF concept and how they implement it at OTF 14th Street. It’s a “select” location so you might pay a bit more, but I think it’s worth it. Most of the coaches are great, most of the classes have the right coach:client ratio, and the facilities are really nice. I love it, and everyone else who’s tried it has loved it, too.

Katherine Browne: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityEnergetic and solid workout for all fitness levels. Staff and coaches are super friendly and helpful.

Michael Williams: Demi is amazing! A perfect balance of fun yet she pushes us. I really enjoy her classes! I have really worried about joining a class like this but from my first one, I felt like home here. My fears were relieved when I met the staff and this is a great community. I have never enjoyed working out as much.

Uplift Strength & Spirit: what do users think?

Andie Vaught: Nancy is a fantastic trainer! She is very responsive and easy to work with, incredibly personable and supportive, and extremely knowledgeable about all things strength, mobility, and yoga. She is a great teacher and has helped me consistently improve at weightlifting. I would highly recommend her to anyone with any fitness-related goals, regardless of age or prior experience.

Aimee Dowl: Uplift changed my life! I started to train with Nancy as a way to restore my health, increase strength, and manage stress. After xix months of training with Nancy and Gary at this evolved and body positive gym, I feel terrific and have lost a lot of weight. Training at Uplift has been the best investment in my health I’ve ever made, and has taken me to a completely new level of health, strength and wellness. For me, all physical activities are easier now - running, yoga, swimming - and so are life activities, like work and travel. What I love the most is that Nancy’s personalized program provides rapid improvement and results but at a manageable and safe level. She also provides a sense of community without being invasive. This is the ultimate safe space and low key gym that really helps people reach their goals. Strongly recommend if you want to try weightlifting for the first time.

Leslie Linn: Nancy Townsend is a marvelous coach and trainer. I had been telling myself for several years that I needed to do some strength training in addition to the aerobic exercise I did, but I never found anything that seemed like a good fit until I was lucky enough to stumble upon Nancy and Uplift Strength and Spirit. She’s a caring, knowledgeable, and inspiring coach and trainer. She was also excellent at working with some existing joint issues I had. She found ways for me to do the workout without hurting myself, and this included some pretty creative solutions on her part! I’m sure that a major part of my decision to delay knee replacement surgery has to do with the work we did together strengthening my core and quads. The Amazing 12 was quite a ride! It really is a commitment, but I found it to be well worth it. It’s a great program for anyone that wants to take his or her training to a new level, but it’s also a good place to start. I had never lifted before I started Amazing 12. Nancy is very good a working with multiple levels of expertise within a group - from beginner to very experienced. I think she is so good that I have signed up to work with her twice a week in her small group sessions for Amazing 12 graduates.

Miriam Ponciano: I’ve worked with a few personal trainers in the past and Nancy is the most knowledgeable coach I have met. She is highly responsive and personalizes your exercise routine based off of your needs and goals. When I let her know my knee had been bothering me from a past ACL injury, she took the time to listen and customized my exercises to strengthen it. She is constantly challenging you and pushing you in a healthy and productive way. I highly recommend Nancy for anyone looking for a positive, knowledgeable and flexible trainer.

Kristen Mayer: When I first started working with Nancy I was completely new to weightlifting, but she made it seem approachable, and in my time working with her, I have seen my strength and technique continually improve. Nancy is extremely knowledgeable, personal, and motivating - and overall an amazing trainer!

anon ymous: Working out at Uplift was a great experience. I am about 30 lbs lighter and much stronger than when I started. These jeans were tight on me in May of 2018! I definitely recommend contacting Nancy if you are seriously ready to take the first step. The workouts were tough but a lot of fun!

Idalia Rodríguez: Uplift has greatly exceeded my expectations! I started with the sole objective of getting fit and increasing strength, but I have gained way more. Both my approach to exercise and relationship with food have positively changed for the long term. Amazed at what my body can do, and with the help of Nancy, Gary and the staff, I have built body and mental resilience. I have never been a person who exercises, but that has now changed. I am happy, active, and I eat, sleep and cope better with stress thanks to Nancy, the team, and the supportive community they foster.

VIDA Fitness U Street: what do users think?

Benyam Ephrem: Overall: Solid gym, nothing is overtly missing. You can do everything you need to do. Summary: Basically 3 floors, cardio floor, machine + dumbbell floor, powerlifting floor (w/ dumbbell rack). Good: The ambiance and vibe is good. You feel like you are working out in a cave with a bunch of people. Bad: - Working out from 5-6/7 sucks. The gym is too small to serve the load of patrons at rush times. There aren’t enough benches & benches for presses so you find yourself waiting for major lifts. - If you go any other time that is non-rush it is a solid gym - The benches are way too close to the mirrors, you can’t do heavy lifts and drop weights. It just feels cramped. You have to maneuver around people doing heavy lifts and there are just personal space issues (when squatting I don’t want anyone near me, we have mental bubbles). - Maybe picky but the dumbbells are decent ones. I’ve used better with more grip (steel handle with a mesh pattern etched in). They are a bit narrow in grip and have plastic handles with decent grip. This nuance is kind of annoying and grip is worse so I just do few dumbbell movements now. I’d give ~3 1/2 stars but I imagine there is a huge constraint on real-estate within the city so a gym can only be so large, etc (can’t compare it to gyms I’ve been to elsewhere). But at ~$120/130/mo you’d want more space and just…more. But this was the closest complete gym option to me (.8 mile jog) and the vibes are good. Edit: Have visited all other branches. Nice to be able to switch up gyms on a day you have time to jog farther. Great branding & vibe consistency. Great value add if you want to switch things up and drop in other gyms.

Joe Kawly: The most decent gym in DC. But lately, they have been faking short especially when it comesTo maintenance. It feels like each day there is something not working.

Mattia Pallozzi: Honestly I have had always a lovely experience, clean fun and the staff especially has always been pretty amazing, from managers to trainers! 👌🏻👌🏻

Reynaldo Castillo: Positive: ProfessionalismAmazing workout experience from the membership consultation to the quality of the facility. Paul Leiby understood my fitness goals and listened to all my concerns as I came from another gym franchise. I fully endorse the quality of the experience and I guaranty you will see results in your fitness goals.

CrossFit DC: what do users think?

Gabrielle Ocker: Coach Amon was very welcoming and so friendly! The facilities were great and would recommend this gym to anyone dropping in :)

Paula Tilson: I was brand new to CrossFit and started out at this gym with an intro class and then the elements class where you learn some of the basic movements used in classes. This gym has been absolutely wonderful! The coaches are amazing and really know what they are talking about. They give extremely helpful tips when you are doing the workouts and will critique your form to help you improve. The coaches also know when to push you more and help you achieve your goals. The workouts are always killer even if the main component is building strength in a specific lift, I have never left this gym not sweating. And the people here are some of the best motivators, workout buddies and friends. Everyone is extremely welcoming and pushing each other to improve regardless of if you are a beginner or experienced vet. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone whether you are wanting to try CrossFit, find a new gym or just drop in for a class. 10/10 would recommend!

Martin JANDA: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI have been visiting this box on U street for less than a month and I can only evaluate it positively. I would recommend it for the high professionalism of the coaches, good equipment, super wod programming and also a positive approach to visiting crossfitters.

Dominik Mlinarevic: I came, they welcomed me, they coached me I PRd. It was a very good experience two coaches on 15 athletes for the weightlifting part even 3 coaches. Facility is super clean and the equipment is great. Coaching as mentioned was great and professional. Thanks to the team.!!!

Daniel In: The coaching staff here is amazing. They are very knowledgeable and provide great instruction to reduce the possibility of injuries as much as possible. The members here are friendly and enthusiastic. They also have all brand new equipment. After dropping it at other croasfit boxes across the country and across the workd, I realize just how amazing CrossFit DC is.

Mikhala McMasters: I started going to the gym in August and I love it! The coaches explain things well, are encouraging, and provide scaling options that make the workouts accessible.

MINT health club & studio- Dupont: what do users think?

R Adebowale: Great local gym. Small building but with all the modern equipment needed for a good workout. Nice front desk staff.

Lexie Barton: I love Mint!! I have been so impressed by their ability to pivot during the pandemic and create an environment that truly feels safe for everyone. I cancelled my gym membership before the pandemic at another gym and felt unsafe returning as I have an at-risk person at home, until I found Mint! Cannot say enough good things about the team and the facility. Thank you, Mint team! Also agree with the 2nd review below 👇 I’ve been during all times of the day and have never had an issue with any of my belongings. There is ample locker space with the ability to choose your own combination so you can secure your items. I’ve never seen or encountered any issues.

Kaelah Horwath: MINT is the BEST! All of the instructors are amazing and it is such a nice place to work out.

Blanca Badgett: Mint is fantastic! The variety of classes is great as I lack self structure when I try to workout alone. The instructors are very motivating and work with all skill levels. They all have a good knowledge base to modify workouts for people with injuries which I appreciate. They also have a child care, full amenity locker rooms, and a coffee machine. It is rather expensive for memberships so I would suggest using ClassPass to try it out before fully committing. Their memberships do also include the 14th St location!

Mallika Thomas: Such a great place! Really nice to go to a local, family-owned gym that is really set on delivering great health and wellness to the local community! What I especially love are the outdoor classes that are being offered in the time of Covid. They are safe, in small groups, and outdoors! And I really need the exercise after having been inside for so many months! Thank you, especially to Lauren for offering a fantastic outdoor workout!

Isaac Flath: Solid Gym - Exceptional Staff. Ms Dee is at the gym working the desk among other things in the early morning when I go and she is very professional, enthusiastic, friendly and helps me with anything I need immediately.

Briana Provost: Really enjoy coming to this gym. Everything is always very clean, and the staff are friendly. It can be a little tricky to find it since it’s entrance is through the Fairmont, but would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a gym in the DC area.

Emily Porat: Great gym with even better staff! I went to this gym weekly for a little over two years and have been really happy with my experience overall. It’s a small but well-appointed gym. Lots of cardio machines, a pool, and plenty of lifting equipment - 1 bench press station, 3 squat racks, and 2 platforms (one that also has a squat rack). I mostly came here to lift in the mornings and it was never too crowded. I didn’t attend many group classes, but the ones I did were small (<6 people) and well-run! The cherry on top is the top-notch staff. Miss D at the front desk is so friendly and welcoming, as are all the trainers I’ve chatted with. I’m only leaving Balance because I’m moving, and I’ll honestly really miss it!

Sarah Harmer: Every single staff member is so kind, friendly and helpful! The gym is always very clean and well maintained. I have never left a review before, but this place and the people deserve it :)

Bench Gym Personal Training DC: what do users think?

Anna Reva: Bench Gym has the best personal trainers in DC!!! I have been exercising in this gym three times a week for almost a year and this is my personal record. I work with Jon Ponce and really enjoy his teaching style. He is very considerate, attentive and gentle. He makes a real effort to understand the priorities of each client and adjusts the exercises to their needs. For example, when I got a foot injury and was walking in a boot, Jon adapted my training routine so I could continue exercising without hurting the injured joint. I rarely leave reviews but feel like this place is a hidden gem. I really like the welcoming atmosphere, the variety of equipment and of course the creativity of the trainers. I would strongly recommend this place for people of all ages and abilities as the coaches are really good at creating individualized programs for their clients. In addition to Jon, I also worked with Dominic and liked his training style as well. The gym is conveniently located close to Dupont Circle and has flexible working hours.

Arne Zubeil: I love this place! I first went to Bench Gym Personal Training about 10 years ago and had the pleasure to train with both Jon Ponce and Dominic. Both of them certainly know what they are doing. They listen to what you want to achieve and then execute and deliver with customized training programs, dieting advice, and continuous encouragement and positive reinforcement. Bench Gym Personal Training is a wonderful and safe place for people of all walks of life who are ready to make a change in their lifestyle and who want to be part of a fitness family. Jon and Dominic have become close friends over the years and I certainly would not want to miss them.

Elizabeth Ricketts: Jon Ponce and Dominic are world-class personal trainers. They are caring and professional and know how to listen to your concern. It is truly a personalized service with a smile. The facility is well-equipped, so beautiful and clean. I totally recommend this place for personal training. Keep it up Bench Gym Personal Training, the best ever!!!

Thomas Steyer: My body has never looked this good until I enrolled at Bench Gym Personal Training in DC. Seriously, give this gym a call and get into the best shape of your life now with the help of the awesome personal trainers Jon ponce has.

Chayut Mathurapote: Bench gym is by far the best personal training facility in Washington DC. Doing abs with Dominic is a must, absolutely amazing!! Jon is a great personal trainer. He tailors the workout plans based on your needs and guides you through nutrition. He always pushes you during the training sessions and makes exercise both fun and productive. I highly recommend this quality personal training !!!

Randy Jimenez: Best thing I did when looking for a personal trainer was to choose Jon Ponce at Bench Gym" Bench Gym Personal Training in DC is one of the best private gyms in Washington DC.

Robert J.: I was a client of Bench Gym for over 10 years before leaving the DC area in December, 2020. While I have been to countless "big box" gyms in the past, I NEVER felt the sense of family, personal attention and professionalism that I felt while at Bench Gym. The place is contagious because not only do they care about your health and well-being, their professional style and expertise yields results. I worked out primarily with Dominic and Jon for all those years and despite not wanting to go on occasions, I knew I would feel better after spending time with them working out and seeking advice on healthy living. Since leaving D.C., I must say I do miss the gym and the people there. Change is hard. Making that personal fitness change for me was difficult but I know that there is someone else who took my spot there who will love and enjoy their quest for personal fitness and healthy living as much as I did. Kudos to BenchGym. You are MISSED.

Jack Mizerak: A true full service, one stop shop for your athletic needs. I have used bench gym for several years and have nothing but positive feedback. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, designing personal plans as my fitness goals have changed. No hesitation in providing an enthusiastic recommendation.

David Gershman: Today I signed up and had a great experience. Mike, in membership, not only showed me around- they answered every question with full clarity, gave me far more insight than I expected, and was simply very nice and sweet. I knew I was going to get a membership going in, but it’s nice to get warmth and comfort instantly upon arrival. Felt like I was one of the regular folks

TPMT Associates: Love it here as usual - they take care of the place and most importantly, the people who works out here take care of the place and is clean and tidy and doesn’t trash the place. As usual, it’s the people who come to gyms that are the messy/dirty and this place doesn’t have those ppl - not that I saw anyways!

John Heinemann: You get what you pay for. This gym doesn’t make sense for everyone, no one is a better person for going here, and a free gym in an apartment building is going to do 90% of what Equinox does. But the other 10%? I actually look forward to working out more when there’s both a sauna and a steam room, a saltwater pool, luxury bath products, memory foam floors for stretching, and refrigerators full of Eucalyptus infused face towels. I go for the amenities, and then I just decide to work out because I’m already there.

Pure Barre: what do users think?

sara agostini: Great workouts, instructors and staff. The staff in particular has been very patient, accommodating and understanding besides being very professional and kind. When I had troubled with the app or I had to reschedule, they called and offered help and solutions so I wouldn’t miss workouts or lose credits. The workout is awesome too, I just want to highlight their great customer care. Highly recommended!

Lindsey Ellertson: I get migraines if I do any workouts that are too high impact, so have never been great at working out consistently. I decided to give Pure Barre a chance and so far I love it! It works all the areas of my body I want to tone without the high impact of other classes I’ve taken. I’ve been 5 times and it hasn’t triggered my migraines. This studio is great and I love all the instructors so far. They are really welcoming to new comers and are great at helping with form to get the most of the work out. I will definitely keep coming back!

Catherine Rodgers: Pure Barre is the highest quality barre studio around. I have tried multiple barre studios in the DC area and and Pure Barre is by far the best and most effective. The staff is extremely friendly and are always willing to go above and beyond to help you have the best experience in each class. Each instructor makes an effort help you learn the right techniques. I have been attending a littler over one month now and I can already see results. I have so enjoyed my experience with this studio and I look forward to many more classes!

Jenee Sharon: Pure Barre Dupont is the best! The classes are a challenging but fun workout, the studio is always clean, and most of all, their staff is friendly and attentive. They really make an effort to remember your name and motivate you individually during classes, which gives it a community feel. I have been coming to this studio for over a year and I keep coming back because it’s the best barre workout and they keep it different each class. Definitely encourage you to try it out, it’s worth the time and money.

Calli Obern: I love going to Pure Barre - it’s low-impact and incredibly challenging, and you feel great walking out. I appreciate that the instructors always know your name and are attentive to make sure your form is correct so you don’t hurt yourself and so you get the best workout. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to try barre. I also love the carpeting, which feels gentle on your body.

Florie Mendiola: The staff and instructors are friendly and motivating. They make it a point to know your name and they make me feel welcomed. The classes are always challenging and the instructors are thoughtful about guiding you to get the most out of your experience. The place is clean and inviting. I appreciate the ease and efficient flow of each experience from signing up for classes, reminder emails, option to cancel classes, quick in and out is mindful of each members time. I would absolutely recommend pure barre D.C. I leave every class feeling supported and accomplished.

Orangetheory Fitness: what do users think?

Tom Nicocelli: Coach Meaghan was great! I usually go to Orange Theory Tysons Corner, but last week had an opportunity to take a class at Orange Theory West End. Great class in terms of energy level and positivity. Keep it up, folks!

Aída Romero: Great studio, the instructors are awesome and helpful and meet you where you are at. I only wish they had one more evening class, but other than that it’s perfect!

Alexa Secrest: OrangeTheory workouts will intimidate, challenge, and exhaust you. Do not let this deter you from joining. Through the nerves, sweat, and soreness, you will emerge anew, with both a stronger physical and mental state.

Total Source Fitness: what do users think?

Hannah: Updating my review after a few months of coming here as a guest. I have found more appreciation for this gym than the gym I belong to. I’ve never had to wait for any equipment here. They have everything you’d need. Never too packed. Still leaks in places is the only thing. Has been consistent $10 since last review. Would join this gym if I lived closer. Lots of gym equipment & heavy weights. Perfect for big dudes who lifting is their passion or small guys who want to get big 💪🏽. Only bad thing is leaks everywhere (Buckets pictured). Cold in the winter. Cost of bringing guests changes every time based on who’s working. $10 to $20 per visit. This place has a lot of potential but needs a little work.

Cam Frasier: I love this gym. Close by and has all the equipment you need to get at it. This is a no frills gym. Just open space and tons of equipment. I go with my fiance to work out together and she is also a fan. She typically works with aerobic, alternative bands, and ropes. I definitely recommend this gym to people who are serious about getting fit!

Iryna F: I really like this gym, not crowded, all needed equipment and very close to my home. Nice customer service! Recommend!

Gerald Regep: I love this gym, hands down. When i moved to DC I looked for a place that was affordable, within walking distance, and had the equipment i needed to stay in shape. Total Source gave me just that. Total Source Fitness is run and owned by Kent, a straight up dude who never fails to ask you how you’re doin. I’ve seen some comments that suggest that TSF is poorly run and a low-quality gym. In my experience, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Kent has been straightforward with me since i first joined the gym. I had an issue where my membership was charged twice in one month, an accident he fixed after I spoke with him. The correction took a week or two, but he made it right and was transparent with me the whole way through. Sometimes things take time with computers and logistics. As long as you’re straight with him, he’ll take care of you. Love this place.

Josten Forsythe: If you’re looking for a gym to get an actual workout in, then Total Source Fitness is the place. With seven squat racks and a bunch of benches, I’ve never waited for a lift. While it’s definitely no frills, the regulars know their way around a gym, making it easy to move around and get work in. What’s more, Kent, the owner, gave me a break on my initiation fee because I’d only be in town for a month. Definitely give Total Source Fitness a try if you’re in town.
