Round Robin Bar: what do users think?
Caitlin Cordova
Caitlin Cordova: The Round Robin Bar is the perfect place to have a cocktail during the holidays when you’re downtown to see the National Christmas Tree. Located inside the Willard Hotel, which is a work of art in itself, the circular Bar serves cocktails and a full menu of classic options. Cocktails ~$20 apiece. Happy hour is crowded, but there are plenty of standing options around the bar itself, and additional seating options in the hallway of the hotel’s lobby. Our bar table service was quick and efficient. Highly recommend checking this place out.
Annie Wilson
Annie Wilson: Attentive service, beautiful warm atmosphere and classic drinks - a delicious experience. The mint julep is spectacular, not fussy, and the staff are cheerful, knowledgeable and enjoyable to watch keeping bar. We went here to celebrate an occasion but we also went to see the national Christmas tree - great location for this. The historical aspects of the bar make a great addition to the experience.
Paul Terry Services Lawn Care & Landscaping
Paul Terry Services Lawn Care & Landscaping: Christina and her staff are - in a word - AMAZING. Kind, caring and beyond gracious. Special requests are a not a problem for this crew. For the most unique and special celebration, look no further. Grateful for this staff.
Hue Tran
Hue Tran: Went to the place for a drink and dessert. Service was horrible. I was eating on my dessert and the lady walking passed my table and just grabbed my dessert plate without saying anything, none of the " are you done with this? Or can I take this? Was happened.
Alex Holston
Alex Holston: Fantastic. In the 1800’s Henry Clay brought the Mint Julep to Washington DC featuring it at this bar. Rich in history they still make this favorite May drink the same way. Makers Mark. Rose Simple Syrup. Muddle mint. Crushed ice. Our bar tender was fantastic. One of the best. We will return.
Patsy Agpalza
Patsy Agpalza: The Round Robin Bar at the Willard Hotel in D.C. is quickly becoming a favorite spot to have a drink and soak up the atmosphere. The Cedar Plank Roasted Salmon is absolutely delicious. I have ordered it twice now and have been very happy each time. The Bartender, Elias has worked there for 30 years and is absolutely phenomenal. Ask him to make you any drink and you will not be disappointed.
Matthew
Matthew: A classy bar in a historic hotel only steps away from where Ulysses S Grant coined the terms lobbyists. Great bartenders who know how to serve a proper glass of whiskey.

Service Bar DC: what do users think?
Elias Chelala
Elias Chelala: Awesome location with a cool vibe. They have an enormous selection of cocktails and delicious food. Make sure to try their spicy fried chicken sandwich which is very juicy and crispy. If you plan on visiting make sure to bring proof of vaccination. The prices are reasonable for the area and the service was decent! I will visit service bar again!
Kara Clark
Kara Clark: Small bar with great food and drinks. Fried chicken sandwiches are stacked and cooked perfectly with seasons. Drinks menu are listed from light to strong. I do wish the food options was more but overall happy with the pick! Drinks absolutely great! Your bill will add up however, it was a bit pricey but overall great food. The bar is a bit small but they have outdoor eating areas as well.
Monica R S
Monica R S: The fried chicken is soooooo good! Food was overall delicious. The old fashioned was good. Service was good too. We sat outside and it was sufficiently heated.
Rebecca Kaufman
Rebecca Kaufman: One of my favorite places to get cocktails in DC. They have such a great and wide selection of different specialty cocktails with plenty of different liquor options to choose from. They also always have seasonal options that change often as well as a great selection of small bar foods.
Response: 🤘🏼
Lani
Lani: Casual bar with good drinks. You can only sit 1 hour and 30 mins. The food was about a 6/10, we got burgers and mozzarella balls.
Kelly Wiley
Kelly Wiley: What a great little place with excellent drinks and food! Cullen was super knowledgeable about the menu items and the specifics of each drink! They have stellar homeade ginger beer!
Response: 🙌🏼
Mark Orebiyi
Mark Orebiyi: On the search for the best Fried Chicken Sandwich in the DMV my team and I came across Service Bar. I highly recommend this restaurant. They are known for their cocktails but this sandwich was devine. Solid portion as well (fries come separately). I would put them in my top 5 (and this was our 21 place). Our server, Cullen, was extremely informative and accommodating. I will be back.
Blake Arrington
Blake Arrington: Good drinks and great chicken The fried chicken meal is the best bang for you buck coming with 3 sides and 2 chicken thighs for $20, I definitely recommend it Make sure you try the original fried chicken. The Nashville hot is good but not as good as the original which has a honey glaze. The atmosphere is a very bar feel inside. If you sit outside they did a good job of turning the street into a nice seating area but it is very loud with cars driving past Would come again to just get the chicken to go

Exiles Bar: what do users think?
Molly Crabb
Molly Crabb: Exiles has been the go-to UNC bar during the tournament (and hopefully forever?) and going to all the games has been a BLAST. The waiters were SO accommodating and pushed through a packed room to deliver food with a smile. We had tech issues with the TV and they had multiple people come and try to fix and figured it out quickly! My 64 year old mom even had a good time and said she’d go back.
Shaina Eckles
Shaina Eckles: Great drinks, fantastic atmosphere & super rad bathroom art.
Response: Thanks for the kind words Shaina. We really appreciate it!
Brian Webster
Brian Webster: Loved this DC area Buffalonian bar! Exiles is a great location with awesome service, great food, and impressive drink selection. I got the wings (crispy and great) paired with a couple of Labatts, as well as a Catalonian Spritz that was refreshing. This place would be amazing to watch the Bills this fall!
Response: Cheers Brian, fingers crossed for a big year for the Bills
Amit S
Amit S: The 5th best bar on u street apparently. I still have to find the first four. The whole team is rocking. Good time guaranteed. Love you all!!!
Christopher Williams
Christopher Williams: A wonderful neighborhood bar. The owners and staff will make you feel at home. Nice outdoor patio with a “hook game.”
Shahnaz Punjani
Shahnaz Punjani: Nice atmosphere. Friendly with great service. Just what I was looking for. A place to have a drink and chill.
Response: Thank you very much Shahnaz. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Alain Parcan
Alain Parcan: As a sworn Stetsonite, I never wanted to admit I liked exiles as much as I did but if it isn’t one of the best bars in dc to get a beer and decent bar food, I dunno what is

Jack Rose Dining Saloon: what do users think?
Oceanie De Silva
Oceanie De Silva: What an Amazing Whiskey Collection!! We had a night out of drinks here with our friend who was visiting us and we absolutely loved the place and the collection of whiskeys and bourbon and so many other stuff! The bar tenders are so friendly and knowledgeable about everything! I said I love fruity cocktails with either Gin or Vodka and instant cocktails were created! Must visit in DC
Meg Salocks
Meg Salocks: One of the best collections of Scotch Malt Whisky Society on the east coast, along with lots of other unique bottles with a real range in prices. The staff are eternally nice and thoughtful, and will happily help you find the right pour for your tastes. A date night favorite if whiskey is your thing.
Anindita Barman
Anindita Barman: This is a very popular place I could tell from the crowd that was in the restaurant even after the kitchen had closed. We had the "Jack Rose Barrel Picks" flight, the "Time in a Bottle" cocktail, whiskey Wings and fries. The whiskey selection in the flight was great, the cocktail and the wings were good as well, however, the fries were not seasoned or salted at all. Service was good but the host could have done better. He just stood there without greeting or anything so we were not sure if he was part of the staff. Upon asking if he worked there, he said he did after which we asked for a table and he led us to one. :/ Parking can be a hassle as the restaurant is in the heart of DC. There is street parking but finding a spot is up to luck.
Gregg Caldwell
Gregg Caldwell: Have been here two times and the service has been excellent and the bourbon knowledge has been on par. Not sure how long it would take a server to know what liquor they have and the ability to speak about each bottle? Place gets loud as it gets later in the night. Make sure to check out the upstairs area.
Kevin Raisch
Kevin Raisch: As a whisk(e)y fan, I had to visit Jack Rose while in DC and it was awesome. Kyle, our whisky advisor, perfectly crafted a whisky flight based on my preferences and provided very detailed and interesting facts about the story and science behind each bottle. In addition to the 3,000 unique bottles of whisky they have food, beer, cocktails and two floors of space (including outdoor space) so it’s perfect even for those who don’t want whisky.
Larry Miller
Larry Miller: Over 2600 different Whiskies in their inventory. Great selection of rare whiskey. Great cocktails, service and food. This was a busket list bar for me. Itcwas the worth the trip.
Michael McDaniel
Michael McDaniel: Truly a must-go place for bourbon and whiskey lovers. For starting at only $28, you’ll get to experience 3 bottles tasting with an excellent background on each bottle by well-knowledgeable and passionate servers. The second floor is open air with different corners to experience.

Morris American Bar: what do users think?
Martin Schmidt
Martin Schmidt: nice atmosphere, slightly too much air-con , or we as European are not use it ?.. We ordered 2 espresso martini, they were average, So much vodka , and coffee was not strong enough. For my taste But their original cocktail were Bom !!! Jamaican twist on Manhattan super tasty . La Reina was soooo good , if you live tequila try this . Overall i would definitely go back
Response: Hi Martin! We are ecstatic to hear you found us all the way from Europe-- it was our pleasure having you! Thank you for taking the time to try our selection of cocktails and for this detailed review (we know a cocktail connoisseur when we meet one)! Looking forward to seeing you in the future !
Bradley Popkin
Bradley Popkin: Swanky and cozy bar with two floors. Spent some time here with family and friends. Great cocktail selection and service. We were greeted quickly and everyone was friendly. I really appreciated the full-size Johnnie Walker figure outside lol.
Neil Patel
Neil Patel: The staff are super friendly and accommodating. We ordered off the menu and were pleasantly surprised at how much we liked our drinks. The mocktails and zero proof drinks were great too!
Response: Neil, thank you for your review! We're glad to hear that you had a great experience and we hope to see you again soon!
Andrea Martin
Andrea Martin: Good drinks, good service. It’s across the street from where Google currently shows. Has an outdoor patio that feels much different than the indoor vibe
Response: We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your experience with Morris! Thank you for this great review!
Nirupa P
Nirupa P: Good experience. We did the Halloween special & the drinks were good. We both got 3 drinks each & they were great. Our favorite was Noche de sueno & dia de muertos. Food menu were also limited. We got the devil eggs & they were good.
Rachel Lipton
Rachel Lipton: The space was thoughtfully designed with a great bar but the drinks were a bit of a letdown - certainly not bad but I was expecting something a touch more exciting (I know they rotate monthly so I’ll be back to try some new ones soon) The vibe was also a touch quiet/empty which was a bit of a bummer since we were celebrating but perhaps it would have been better if we were there earlier or later
Adam Pusateri
Adam Pusateri: Morris is without a doubt an absolute gem of a cocktail bar and my personal favorite. The bartenders are not only inventive but also thoroughly well-versed in classics and contemporary drinks. You can tell the whole team is proud of their bar, and it really shows. The seasonal menu is their own impressive creation, but make no mistake, they gladly take requests and offer new suggestions. Inside is a time capsule of a classic bar. The colors, décor, lighting, music – it is the perfect place for relaxing drinks. Outside is shaded and casual, exactly what you want for a group of friends. Other bars even the often lauded “Bests in DC” have fallen short of what Morris is consistently doing here in terms of quality, knowledge, skill, and service. You get way more than what you pay for here. As amazing as it all is, it is not at all stuffy. Everybody is friendly, easygoing, and enjoys what they are doing. This review is long overdue and could not be more well deserved. Morris often surprises, never disappoints, and after all their extra hard work during the pandemic, I cannot wait to sit at the actual bar again. Until then, cheers!
Response: Thank you so much Adam! So glad you enjoyed your experience.
Mohan Sun
Mohan Sun: Our favorite cocktail joint in town! The drinks are top-notch and reasonably-priced. We’ve been to other “good” places that charged $16 for a to-go cup. Morris beats that in so many aspects and it never disappoints. Everyone works there are super nice and knowledgeable. Doug, Ian and Rhine are skillful bartenders who can fix you up with almost any requests. They usually have seasonal cocktail menus and recently added low & non-alcohol drinks which is perfect for a person like me who can’t drink too much. I got Strawberry Kitty last time and it’s sooo good! If you want something refreshing, you NEED to get it! Please support their business. They work hard to stay afloat while continue to innovate great drinks during this difficult time.
Response: Thank you for your review and your support Mohan!

Margie Nguyen
Margie Nguyen: When I tell you this place was a hole in the wall, our Uber driving couldn’t even find it. This is a small, cute bar UNDER the Vietnamese restaurant 1914. Drinks were good. Most of the bartenders were nice. Came here for a birthday last night. This place is very tiny I don’t even know if they have 20 seats. They share a kitchen with the restaurant. Food was delicious! Definitely coming back to try the full menu. I recommend Uber, parking is horrible here. I would come back again for a drink!
Response: Margie, Thanks for the reply. We actually have 28 seats w/ some standing room.. Come back and let us earn that extra star as we do value your review!
Ify Okonkwo
Ify Okonkwo: Let me tell you one of my favorite nights in DC was spent at this tiny independently owned bar! Ian the bartender and owner is truly talented and one of a kind! Not only is the decor and ambience on point with a fun Vespa in the middle, the drinks were the best drinks I had during our trip. I got the Planters Passion such a fun drink that gets lit on fire and strong too. The playlist that night was everything! My friends and I sang and danced all night even when it was just the 3 of us and Ian. Ian my guy! Thank you for making our friend’s birthday weekend a great one with your hospitality and all the shots you kept giving her haha! Until next time new friend. Cheers!
Dennis Nguyen
Dennis Nguyen: Great experience on a Saturday night. Awesome bartender. Tried the "Planters Passion" drink. It was lit. Also enjoyed the "Rum + Coconut". It was good and strong. Ask for a spoon if you really like coconut.
Response: Dennis, Thanks for your review. Hope to see you soon as our menu has slightly changed!
Mark Henriksen
Mark Henriksen: Had a really great time here on a quiet weekday night. Delicious drinks, lots of options for those who may not otherwise love traditional Tiki cocktails. Ambiance is cute, super friendly bartender. Highly recommend for a date night.
Response: Thanks Mark. We will continue to expand the menu separated by base spirits. Please see us soon!
Emil Evans
Emil Evans: Ambience is very peaceful. Cocktails are complex yet simple. You can taste each note of every ingredient. I did not get a chance to try the food, but the menu leaves me excited to experiment on my next visit. Bartenders and staff are very friendly and bathrooms are clean. There is a full menu and food market for the 2md floor. Definitely stop by as you start to venture out while restrictions are lifting
Response: Thank you for your review. Please come back and see us soon!
Robert Papel
Robert Papel: Amazing little Speakeasy Tiki Bar off the U Street corridor - small, intimate, and authentic. Excellent service, great bartender! He was knowledgeable and suggested GREAT drinks. (FYI the cucumber water was perfectly flavored!)
Response: Thanks for the feedback Robert. Sometimes our RO water has lemon slices too!
Jenise Wamble
Jenise Wamble: I love this place! It would definitely be considered a “hidden gem”. The drinks were delicious, the bartender, Ian, was amazing! The whole atmosphere was *chefs kiss*. Will absolutely return
Response: Jenise, thanks for the comments. Ian's ego is already big.
Albert Yeh
Albert Yeh: Amazing place! Service is unbelievable. Ian (bartender extraordinare) Patrick the artist did an unbelievable job with the place. Ian has amazing service, highly personable, and the owner also is a fantastic guy! They should have a rooftop with at least acoustic music.
Nancy Tang
Nancy Tang: Super cute hole in the wall Tiki Bar. Well themed with nice decor and yummy drinks! Drinks were well made and exceeded my expectations. Will be coming again!
Response: Nancy, you are a troublemaker. Come back and see us soon!

barmini by José Andrés: what do users think?
Natalie Caldwell
Natalie Caldwell: We were in DC for the weekend, looking for a place to get drinks before our later dinner reservation. There is a reason barmini has the reputation it does, and our experience was more than we could have hoped for. The attention to detail was both expected and impressive - the care and perfection that went into each crafted concoction was amazing. We described to our waiter what our flavor profiles were and he made us both personalized (and perfect) cocktails. We topped off our before dinner drinks with the brioche. *Chefs kiss* and that butter…I’d eat a whole loaf. Can’t wait for the chance to come back.
Kennith “Conley” Coleman
Kennith “Conley” Coleman: We were able to enjoy the cocktail flight. The experience was amazing and all the cocktails were so delicious. The service was excellent. We also tried the grilled cheese appetizer and it was beyond good.
Triloka Shanbhag
Triloka Shanbhag: For those of you wondering if the long waitlist and tough-to-get-in reservation system renders this place worth going to or not, I’m here to tell you it is utterly and absolutely worth the wait. The experience of being at Barmini and having their cocktail flight is unparalleled. From the sophisticated palette displayed in the variety of cocktails to the servers that pay you copious amount of attention, every little detail is planes to the tee. At times you may feel you are transported to be amidst a lab experiment but the drinks made at your table using liquid Nitrogen are delicious and a spectacle to watch. We also tried the brioche bun, it absolutely melts in your mouth. Having been to a few other Jose Andrés restaurants in the DC area and always being pleasantly surprised with my experiences, this certainly keeps the streak going. Can’t wait to try Minibar by Jose Andres too.
Mukesh Bhakta
Mukesh Bhakta: Just Wonderful. Vegetarian food paired with drink for me and a la crate for my wife. The dishes can be substituted with non vegetarian. We had 6 small plates and were full by the end of 2 hours. Each item was superb and we did add Australian Truffels to 4 dishes which elevated them substantially. It is definitely worth it for the experience. It is expensive but we enjoy these throes of restaurants very much. Staff was precise and excellent. Cocktails were unique and superb.
DeJuae
DeJuae: Food presentation was some of the best I’ve seen here in DC. It has 2 Michelin Stars. The intimate setting and couches make for a nice date night!
James King
James King: Amazing food. Fantastic service. Highly recommended.Presentation is very elegant. Decor is intimate. Call ahead.

Tiki TNT & Potomac Distilling Company: what do users think?
Queen Melissa
Queen Melissa: Overpriced and the drinks were disgusting. The food looked very nasty. The customer service was terrible. 2 drinks were $52 n they weren’t good at all. Will never go back again. I wouldn’t go here for anything not evening the rum tasting….. OVERALL THEY OVERCHARGE FOR DISGUSTING DRINKS. If you want real reviews to go on yelp…. Pain killer and missionary downfall as an experienced bartender were not good. Why would I order food if I’m overcharged already for two drinks and from the photos the food is not worth eating. As I said before the customer service terrible too.
Response: Im so sorry you did not enjoy yourself while at Tiki TNT. Can you share as to what drinks were 'disgusting'? We are a high volume place and very seldom do we hear your descriptions, especially of our drinks. Also- our cocktails are $15 each so two would not total $52 even with tax and gratuity. You say the food 'looked very nasty'- but you didnt order and taste it? Again, sorry you are so unhappy but it seems more details would provide a better picture here....
Dimitri Ivanoff
Dimitri Ivanoff: This review is for the actual distillery - you can book a short guided tour including rum tasting & a cocktail. Very interesting & cool place, where you can see real distilling tower & oak barrels with rum. Notes - the entrance is on the ground level facing fish market. The tours are from 9AM till 5PM every 30 minutes.
Patrick Young
Patrick Young: Only had cocktails here. They were creative and had a wide variety. It’s probably the best cocktail bar I’ve been to in DC, but the drinks are very very expensive compared to the amount of alcohol you are given. They have an automatic gratuity that I believe is 22% which seems kinda high
Kel Millionie
Kel Millionie: Really fun drinks and small plates in an elevated outdoor (covered) bar. Food was delicious, rum drinks were good. Prices are typical DC high and service is so-so. Go for the TikiTots, stay for the fun glasses the drinks come in!
Jeffery Montgomery
Jeffery Montgomery: Went during the Mardi Gras parade last week. Food was very creative, had the pork belly buns, chicken buns and breakfast sliders. The buns were good, would definitely come back in the future.
Nicole Manuel
Nicole Manuel: The atmosphere was fun, and the outside patio had a nice view! The staff were great, and attentive! The menu was smaller than one would hope. The drinks were fun and creative but not so tasty. You are paying for the packaging, environment, and the experience than the tasty enjoyable drink. The food was fine, but over priced and not worth the price spent! We kept hoping each drink would get better, but unfortunately it did not. Again, they were pretty, but most tasted down right awful!
Kevin Donaldson
Kevin Donaldson: After a long day of walking the mall, this place was great! Cocktails were delicious. And food was really tasty!

C Yager
C Yager: Great craft beer bar, knowledgeable bar staff, 50 beers on tap, wish they had less national/big craft beers on tap and more local. Extensive beer bottle list with hard to find beers, especially good Belgium beer selection. Fast friendly service, hard to notice from the street. Definitely recommend a visit if you love beer.
Jonathan Isett
Jonathan Isett: Top notch selection of craft beers in DC. Also one of the most extensive whiskey/ bourbon catalogs around. Atmosphere is good, and the food comes through. The homemade tots are a must have. Great location on 14th st close to Logan circle. Stop and have a beer or two.
Rossukon Jandech
Rossukon Jandech: Beer Brunch Event on June 25th, 2022Great event, great employee, great service.Meet famous brewers there as well, so awesome.
Taylor Friedman
Taylor Friedman: I love churchkey but the service here needs improvement. I’ve been twice since they reopened with the latest being a Saturday night around 11:30. Busy but not crazy. Was able to find a seat at the bar. After I sat down it took at least 5 minutes just to get a bartender to acknowledge me. Was handed food and drink menus. After that probably another 5 minutes to get my order in. I thought it was weird that the bartender didn’t provide water when I sat down. I feel that it’s customary to do so at a bar as so not to make people drunk quickly. After I ordered my second drink I placed an order for food as well and was told the kitchen closed at midnight. That would have been helpful to know as I got there at almost quarter til so that was annoying. Shortly before I left there was also a guy at the bar who was passed out and one of the bartenders slammed a bottle really hard on the counter to wake him up and I thought that was kind of unnecessary. All in all, definitely a craft beer Mecca but just keep in mind service can be kinda spotty. (P.S.- they made the place brighter after they reopened so you can actually see going up that long flight of stairs and the menu once you’re inside!)
Tom W
Tom W: Great list of beers. Nothing I was too interested in and I love me some craft beers. But that’s not their fault, that’s my palate. The issue was the service being absolute trash when the bar wasn’t even busy and they had ample staff. Drinks took about a half hour to come out so we ended it early and just left.
Response: Hello Tom, I am very sorry to hear about your experience. Thank you for your feed back. We appreciate any kind of feed back that can help us improve. I would love to hear more about your time here. If you would be able to email me at dpitcher@neighborhoodrestaurantgroup.com. Best regards, Dylan

Nate B: We enjoyed this place. This is hidden gem in the basement. Drinks were good. Service was great. Prices were reasonable. Free popcorn. I would definitely recommend this place.
Baynard Marcus (RUDY)
Baynard Marcus (RUDY): great atmosphere, music, selection of games, darts is so hard to find but they have it here, lounge area is nice, multiple bars and experienced bar tenders, floors were ridiculously sticky, bathrooms seem to not have been cleaned often enough, security was great and overall had a great time and will be back asap🤝
Thoff
Thoff: This place is terrible. Atmosphere was fine felt like a frat party honestly. Me and my friends were having a decent time until one of them got kicked out for absolutely no reason. The bouncer claimed he was far too intoxicated, but we were simply playing shuffleboard. After that, another friend got kicked out! And I saw others being kicked out for the worst reasons. I wouldn’t go here if you don’t plan on your night being ruined.

Rob: This place has one of the best happy hours in town. Wonderfully crafted cocktails for $8 and awesome small eats options (Catalan fries and tuna tartare are a must). Their burger is also really good. We’ve gone a couple times for happy hour and will be back to try dinner or brunch soon.
Peter Fernandez
Peter Fernandez: The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable (although the host was a weirdo). We had great drinks--Manhattan, Nt yr prblm, and a Martini. For food it was the pork belly fried rice and the branzini. Both were great. We enjoyed it very much!
William Branch
William Branch: This was such a lovely brunch experience! Bar Charley’s is a cozy place with charming wait staff and a delicious menu! They were gracious enough to accommodate our unusually large group of 16 people. The service was exceptional. I would highly recommend this place, but make sure you reserve well in advance. Their reservations run out quickly!
Chiara
Chiara: Great chicken and waffles. I should’ve asked for extra syrup- the only syrup I got were those tiny dribbles on the plate! Very good food though. The patio was nice but a little loud- be prepared if you have bad hearing. I’ll definitely come back to try their other foods :)
Andy
Andy: Bottomless mimosas was so fun here on a Saturday morning. Food was okay, but I did order a rather boring dish (eggs and bacon). The atmosphere is 10/10! Cozy, intimate, hip. Service was 6/10, as they kept haggling us to leave and stop drinking mimosas 😂
Brandon Leipzig
Brandon Leipzig: Nice location. Great food. Entree portions are sized for people to get appetizers and dessert. The Hanger Steak was cooked perfectly and tasted awesome, just wish there was more sides with it. Wait staff was on top of things with drinks and water. Went on a Sunday evening and it was 25% off steak entrées. Get there early if you want the ribeye it will sell out fast. Seating was tight for our large group in the front corner booth table.
Samantha
Samantha: I adore Bar Charley. I continue to come back here. The manager I always run into is a wonderful guy. All-night happy hour on Mondays and brunch are their strong suits. Get the truffle aioli no matter what you order and try that incredible Charley sauce on the weekend brunch burger.
Megan Root
Megan Root: After another reservation fell through, we came here for dinner. They found us a table on their patio which was perfectly warm even in 30 degree weather. The drinks were delicious and the food was excellent! I recommend the steak satay, sesame chimichurri was delicious. And crispy brussels sprouts are always a good idea!

Off the Record: what do users think?
Ariel Aviles
Ariel Aviles: We loved this hidden bar, just a perfect "speak easy" located in front of the White House. Decor is very fancy, lighting is dark, all red walls with caricatures of politicians. Bartender was friendly, and we got some great cocktails. Perfect the end of a date, nice cousy space for great conversation and drinks.
Kimberly Giang
Kimberly Giang: Came here for a light snack and drink before dinner. It was very crowded during Presidents Day weekend but we managed to find a 2 top table. Loved the cozy old fashioned lounge atmosphere. Even though it was insanely busy, our server managed to be very helpful and attentive. He did a great job running around the whole bar by himself. I did not get his name but the receipt said Vlad on it. He definitely deserved a shout out! My husband enjoyed his drink and I liked the soup!
Karen Riegler
Karen Riegler: What can I say? Amazing, amazing, amazing!Daughter took us on our visit to DC. Pear martini is oh so yummy! Lobster rolls. Potato croquettes , wedge salad! The staff is incredible! Can’t say enough about the experience! Must go
Paola Pritchard
Paola Pritchard: Very old school vibes and men in suits. The drinks are good and the staff is friendly. Had the potatoes coquette with red pepper sauce that was so good.
Sylvia P
Sylvia P: Iconic bar. The drinks were outstanding! The waiter placed coasters based on our political preferences, these are cartoon images of iconic government figures seen on the walls.
Sagar Wadgaonkar
Sagar Wadgaonkar: Great bar. Cozy underground feel right across from the White House. Bartenders are very skilled and make great drinks. Drinks are expensive but that comes with the territory.
Steve Otten
Steve Otten: My wife and I visited this place as a potential “speak easy” bar with some historical context connected to the Hay-Adams on Saturday 5/28/22 at approximately 10:30pm. We sat at the bar closest to the door. Eventually, we were given menus without any greeting or pleasantries. I ordered a Blanton’s straight and my wife a glass of wine. We advised the bartender it was my wife’s birthday and asked if he wouldn’t mind snapping a quick photo. He told us “he didn’t have time for that, and will get to us when he has a chance”. Mind you, this is a bar in DC during a holiday weekend and we easily walked in and found seats because of the lack of patrons. This clearly is of no surprise given the service. We actually happened to see his POS Home Screen and noticed 6 total tabs…. Six. The bartender eventually asked some wait staff behind us to take our photo which we declined. I asked for my check and the bartender told the other bartender “see this is what I’m talking about” and the took the next 10 minutes getting our bill in a folio. We both left our full drinks in disgust. From this point forward, I will advise all of my colleagues, friends, and family to never visit this venue. This was easily my worst experience of any caliber location and that bartender was a disgrace at best. I’m sad I wasted my time to visit, and even more so to type this review. I hope to whomever comes across it, that I saved you the time and money from the looming disappointment.

The Pub & The People: what do users think?
Ethan Z
Ethan Z: Great Restaurant!! This Restaurant is in the city area and offers indoor and outside seating!! The menu is rather small but the food and drinks were great!! The wait staff were friendly and professional!! The restaurant was also clean and well presented. The bathrooms are coolly decorated too with people sending pictures in of there family pets in to be featured on the wall. Overall great!
Becky Gomez
Becky Gomez: Such a great spot for a lonely, taveling vegetarian! 😂 Bar service was superb and a delightful vibe. Great beer selection. Perfect shishitos 🌶️ and tempura cauliflower!
AJ Hendricks
AJ Hendricks: Pub and the People is our favorite outdoor spot in Bloomingdale. The beers they have on tap are great, and the food (specifically, the Black Bean burger and "The Heidi" Fried Chicken sandwich) is very solid. The tempura cauliflower sauce is also amazing. Matt, the manager, is very friendly and just a welcoming face to see when you come in. This radiates through the whole staff. The happy hour specials are awesome, and run for most of the day on the weekends. Enjoy!
Parker Kelley
Parker Kelley: Very great experience here ! We’ve passed this place numerous times and I’ve always said I wanted to try it. So, we finally did ! I ordered the Heidi chicken sandwich which was very tasteful. It came with a side of fries which were also very good. The service was great - 3 or 4 people continuously came to check on us. I’d definitely eat here again.
Bobbi DeAnda
Bobbi DeAnda: Such a great brunch spot! The outdoor patio is pup friendly (and the bathroom inside is a must see for dog lovers haha). The biscuits and gravy with fried chicken was TO DIE FOR. So yummy! Staff was super friendly and helpful.
Callum Wayman
Callum Wayman: A great local pub for people in Eckington and Bloomingdale. The pub offers a great selection of beers, wine, and cocktails as well as an excellent food menu (try the tempura cauliflower, chicken sandwich, and the fries). In the winter they offer group seating around large fire pits for small gatherings. I found that to be a huge boon when trying to gather friends outdoors while being mindful of COVID during the winter. The staff are nice and helpful.
Amy Burdon
Amy Burdon: Had dinner and played trivia - food menu was fairly short but with lots of tasty items - I enjoyed the curry wings and gazpacho. Staff were friendly, happy hour drinks were a good deal. All positives!
Daniel Albert
Daniel Albert: Not sure what happened to this place. The drinks we got were fine, but the food was pretty subpar. Got the Cuban sandwich and the fries that came with it were way too peppered and salty. The food used to be great here. The vibe is still good - cozy and perfect for winter time.

Sign of the Whale: what do users think?
Jeffrey Warner
Jeffrey Warner: A really awesome drag brunch hosted by Tiffany D. Carter.Really enjoyed the chicken and waffles and the staff were super friendly and fun.
Apollo Ryans
Apollo Ryans: Great Time. Rich the bartender knows how to pour and entertain. And with Toby manning the helm it only gets better. Next to Camelot and Umpire dance clubs.
Dom Dimarco
Dom Dimarco: Went for brunch. Chicken and waffles are fire. The BLT was also tasty, kinda tastes like maybe Caesar dressing is on it. The bloody Mary’s are good, spicy and on the thinner side. Service was very attentive, thanks Amanda!!
Tani B
Tani B: I went for the bottomless brunch and had the chicken and waffles and added scrambled eggs. Sooooooooooo good. The whale pail drink (I think) was delicious and BOTTOMLESS🤪. Also, their mimosas were tasty as well. The DJ was great and the service was too. Enjoyed myself and look forward to going back soon.,😊
Dorothea Knigge
Dorothea Knigge: Sign of the Whale has burned. Awful fire at 5 pm Eastern time March 2, 2022. Please we hope all are safe and the staff are safe.
Hunter Hageman
Hunter Hageman: They were EXTREMELY overpriced and deceitful with their receipts. They automatically included gratuity and expected you to tip as well. I spent $120 on 6 shots. Definitely not worth it.
Anna Figueroa
Anna Figueroa: Came to DC from out of town and made a reservation in advance of our trip. Confirmed reservation through text the day before. Got there night of and told to “go upstairs and sit anywhere”- but all that is upstairs is the little crows nest bar, no tables. The bar tender was extremely nice and tried to go talk to someone downstairs again, but ultimately we were told that we could sit at that bar to eat, but they had a happy hour event that would be starting downstairs, so there was nowhere else we could sit. We didn’t see any tables downstairs either, just the bigger bar. The floor was sticky, and everything seemed much dirtier than what we were expecting. We did not stay to eat there, so can’t comment on the food or drinks.
Krystie Wilson
Krystie Wilson: Worst experience today for my birthday brunch. The online representation is not what you get when you walk in. Dirty furniture. Dirty glasses- not once but twice - lip stick stains and filth! Slow service! We waited an hour for absolutely nothing. And NO COVID PRECAUTIONS. The server actually touched the top of the straw with his hands after wiping his forehead! Highly disappointed after hearing such great reviews! Hope things turn around.

All Souls Bar: what do users think?
Ivan Alekhin
Ivan Alekhin: We loved our time at All Souls last night. The bartenders were great and really knew what they were doing - they made the evening special. We liked the menu and felt like you get a lot of bang for your buck. The atmosphere of the place was just right - not too loud, cozy, and safe. We will definitely come back here again and again. It’s a gem of a place!
Mark P
Mark P: Friendly, personable, and accommodating staff. Good music from rock to jazz and beyond. Unfussy yet creative cocktail list with prompt service. Authentic and reliable neighborhood bar. Give them a visit!
Cassandra Pereda
Cassandra Pereda: The drinks were good. But the male bartender when we were there was very rude. His demeanor was standoffish and not welcoming. Additionally, I got two drinks, each $11 somehow he said my bill was $30 because he was including his tip in it. I was going to tip regardless but the way he went about it rubbed me the wrong way.
Amelia Barabak
Amelia Barabak: Had a bad experience- friend and I didn’t like the drinks (one on menu, one off). Bartender not friendly or helpful. Good if you like 7/11-esque snacks, mediocre service, and aperol. The drinks are cheap for a reason y’all.
Andrew Benson
Andrew Benson: Bartender to patrons — regarding hospital doctors in COVID, “they weren’t really in the trenches.” Don’t need to come back here.
YAZ 90Z
YAZ 90Z: The Asian bartender acted uncomfortable to serve my party. Rude service.
Christian Mai
Christian Mai: Fun bar to go to! Luved the roof top! Drinks were great and the service also!
Richard Derrico
Richard Derrico: Nice setting and good drinks. Fast service.

the Gibson: what do users think?
Jeff Schwamb
Jeff Schwamb: A brilliant speak-easy with bartenders that truly take their craft seriously. The custom mezcal drink was spot on the lighting and atmosphere promoted an escape from the outside world.
A V
A V: Definitely a 4 star experience, not more. Clean, with a nice atmosphere ( music selection was not speakeasy.. more hip hop), and the staff was very nice. However, drinks were not impressive for the price paid. Also, they should describe the drinks better, especially if they have an online menu. Went to 600t on the same night and much better experience
byron subero
byron subero: So my new thing is trying to go to all the speakeasy in the DMV. 6 down many to go. Gibson has a relaxing vibe with a indoor and outdoor seating.
2luvis2live
2luvis2live: This place is so discreet. Once inside, you are totally removed from outside and embraced by the atmosphere which was chill and laid back. Everyone was cool and down to earth. Our bartender was so warm and friendly (Enjoy your upcoming birthday in August Leo). I would definitely visit again. Thanks for a great time.
Paige Sheats
Paige Sheats: This is one of my go to places. I love the vibe and it’s very speakeasy-ish! I also can’t say enough good things about the cocktails! They’re not only delicious but also very unique based on other speakeasies and bars around town! The only negative is it’s hard to get a table if you’re just trying to walk in, so book a reservation in advance.
James Lee
James Lee: Great drinks and beautiful interior. I also recommend ordering your own and letting the bartender be creative. The bar is currently closed (tables only) and service was a bit slow when I went, but still had a good time.
Maya Bryant
Maya Bryant: This speakeasy was tucked away off of U street. The drinks were okay, but the vibe was everything. Very fun for a chill night. Make sure you have a reservation.

The Lucky Bar: what do users think?
Saif Al-Alawi
Saif Al-Alawi: This is the official supporters bar for Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United. They offer some local IPA and I recommend the 3 Stars if you love your simcoe hops. The bathroom upstairs is a work out but clean. Glad I hit it early before those United fans stunk it up.
Joe Joemer
Joe Joemer: The breakfast was excellent, the staff was very nice, and the rates were fair. Fantastic collection of draft beers chosen by a beer expert.
Samantha Elizabeth
Samantha Elizabeth: After being rejected by Decades nightclub, my boyfriend suggested Lucky Bar for drinks. I liked how dices of different sizes were mounted within the bar counter. When we sat at the bar, at first we had to wait to place a drink order. I asked for a drink menu and the bartender Shannon asked what kind of drinks I liked. They had three types of ciders - Magners, Woodchuck, and Angry Orchard. I ended the night with an Angry Orchard.
Geoffrey Fleming
Geoffrey Fleming: Excellent bar, good atmosphere for sports and good on prices for both food and drink. Ordered a Philly cheese steak and it was delicious. Great selection of beers and food. Definitely recommend for anyone around the area looking for a good sports bar and excellent service. The bar staff were excellent, especially the lady Shannon who took care of us all night.
Michael Wiredu
Michael Wiredu: The atmosphere is electric win lose or draw. Great place for Gunner fans. And the food is very good.
Todd Boppell
Todd Boppell: Great place to catch an Arsenal game! Staff is super friendly, breakfast was great, and prices are reasonable! Awesome draft beer selection curated by someone who knows beer.
Skanbass
Skanbass: Good sport bar. I went there a lot during the African soccer cup. One of the only bar that passes the games.

Kasey Herren
Kasey Herren: Definitely a bar for the younger crowd. They do have an awesome selection of beer, but the food was lacking. Stop by the neighboring Mexican restaurant first then go have a good evening getting smashed at Derbys after.
Chato Zarate
Chato Zarate: Amazing bar! This place is such a vibe! From the customer service and friendly staff, to the atmosphere! Great place to grab a drink, especially when they got weekly specials! I also really enjoyed the music they had playing. Definitely a go-to from here on out
Response: Thank you Chato!
C.
C.: Was only in here for an hour or so to meet a friend but the server was nice enough. Ambiance was meh. Only had one drink.

Tiki On 18th: what do users think?
Wesley “djweso” Oman
Wesley “djweso” Oman: We had a great experience here. Fantastic service. Bartender and wait staff were excellent. Drinks were tasty and so was the food. The drinks menu is interesting and has lots of information on it, a mix of newer and classic tiki cocktails plus it changes seasonally. Food is Filipino and has some unique takes plus you can order from the sports bar downstairs. The decor is modern and tropical.
Ed
Ed: Came for a frozen drink but I was really surprised by the food, it was delicious. The pina colada was pretty good too although small. Overall good experience! Would deff try again on an evening. Make sure you have a reservation for rooftop seating.
byron subero
byron subero: Tiki and Filipino mix with awesome drinks. Ube waffle with chicken. Oh and you can buy the special glass!
Aaron Ardillo
Aaron Ardillo: Just stopped in for drinks and a small plate with my girlfriend. We got the Zombie and the Bolo cocktails and the pork lumpia for a snack. Best lumpia I have ever had. Bartender was super friendly and attentive as well!
Nino Arobelidze
Nino Arobelidze: Such a cute spot in D.C. if you’re there during the cold months, try out their holiday and winter specific drinks like Paw Paw’s Cocoa (served hot -Bourbon, Cocoa Powder and Tiki Coco Loco). Very photographable
A Rivera
A Rivera: Very satisfying. Not a lot of authentic Filipino food around, but felt like I was in Manila with Tiki on 18th. Might come up as pricey, but I’ll say not everyday you find good Filipino food in DMV so it’s worth a penny. xo
Nathan Santos
Nathan Santos: Busy night life when I went. Slightly on the pricier side however that I can understand comes from the area which they are in. I had a Mai Tai and their Java bowl (Pork) both were very good. Not necessarily a MUST VISIT however it is definitely one of my favorite Filipino restaurants in the DC area. I expect myself to eat here again in the future.
Nikolas G
Nikolas G: What a fun bar. Loved the outdoor area, the tropical drinks were fun and the decor on the inside is very fun while some how being classy. Strong recommend for the pork lumpia, the tenders are ok, and the punch bowls get a decent recommend. Our server Jasmin was so friendly and smiley and I really made our night.
leonard sims
leonard sims: So I came to DC and they had a mask mandate. My friend and I were sitting outside and he needed to use the restroom and as he was getting ready to enter he forgot to put on his mask. The server was polite and he he put it on. Way to go to the staff. People may not agree with the mandate but if you come here you will get great service and the rules are followed so you know the food is excellent
Response: Thank you for the feedback. Glad you had a great visit. Please come back soon!
