The Pub & The People: what do users think?

Ethan Z: Great Restaurant!! This Restaurant is in the city area and offers indoor and outside seating!! The menu is rather small but the food and drinks were great!! The wait staff were friendly and professional!! The restaurant was also clean and well presented. The bathrooms are coolly decorated too with people sending pictures in of there family pets in to be featured on the wall. Overall great!

Becky Gomez: Such a great spot for a lonely, taveling vegetarian! 😂 Bar service was superb and a delightful vibe. Great beer selection. Perfect shishitos 🌶️ and tempura cauliflower!

AJ Hendricks: Pub and the People is our favorite outdoor spot in Bloomingdale. The beers they have on tap are great, and the food (specifically, the Black Bean burger and "The Heidi" Fried Chicken sandwich) is very solid. The tempura cauliflower sauce is also amazing. Matt, the manager, is very friendly and just a welcoming face to see when you come in. This radiates through the whole staff. The happy hour specials are awesome, and run for most of the day on the weekends. Enjoy!

Parker Kelley: Very great experience here ! We’ve passed this place numerous times and I’ve always said I wanted to try it. So, we finally did ! I ordered the Heidi chicken sandwich which was very tasteful. It came with a side of fries which were also very good. The service was great - 3 or 4 people continuously came to check on us. I’d definitely eat here again.

Bobbi DeAnda: Such a great brunch spot! The outdoor patio is pup friendly (and the bathroom inside is a must see for dog lovers haha). The biscuits and gravy with fried chicken was TO DIE FOR. So yummy! Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Callum Wayman: A great local pub for people in Eckington and Bloomingdale. The pub offers a great selection of beers, wine, and cocktails as well as an excellent food menu (try the tempura cauliflower, chicken sandwich, and the fries). In the winter they offer group seating around large fire pits for small gatherings. I found that to be a huge boon when trying to gather friends outdoors while being mindful of COVID during the winter. The staff are nice and helpful.

Amy Burdon: Had dinner and played trivia - food menu was fairly short but with lots of tasty items - I enjoyed the curry wings and gazpacho. Staff were friendly, happy hour drinks were a good deal. All positives!

India Lindsay: Very friendly, cute neighborhood joint. Food and drinks are all pretty good. The wait staff are so friendly and laid back. It's a great spot for a casual drink after work or meeting up with a few friends in an easy-going atmosphere

Daniel Albert: Not sure what happened to this place. The drinks we got were fine, but the food was pretty subpar. Got the Cuban sandwich and the fries that came with it were way too peppered and salty. The food used to be great here. The vibe is still good - cozy and perfect for winter time.

Sanderson Tattersall: OK, I've reviewed a lot of restaurants, and this one was a chance encounter. Trip to DC, Air BNB nearby, popped in on our last night. Very cool decor, loved the shelving behind the bar with the books and booze mixed, industrial chic. Waitress was great, bartender was great, food was even better. My family of four all got different burgers and sandwiches and all were fantastic. Taps were pretty stellar and they had my favorite Great Lakes Brewing Co. beer, the Elliot Ness. My only regret is not actually living in the area so I can go back. TLDR definitely recommended. Get your A in here.

Union Pub: what do users think?

Jameelah Lewis: So I came all the way from Vegas to have a great time with friends, and we made plans to eat at union pub. The atmosphere was nice, but unfortunately the dining experience differed. We had a party of 8 and they couldn't get anyone's order to the right place and they forgot to bring out requested items. This is not a fan fave and I recommend that you save your coins if you can or try something else!!!

Nickie Bishop: It’s a nice place to stop as there a great patio area and it’s close to activities. We got there on a Saturday when it opened so the service was fine. The food was disappointing. Ordered from the brunch menu - the cheesy French toast was terrible! Flavorless, crusty, cold and barely any cheese. Otherwise the menu was the usual bar food which seemed fine. Hubby had the burger and said it was “OK”. We were here a few years ago on a week day and it had a great lunchtime vibe!

Alexis Green: I ordered buffalo wings and sweet potato fries for pickup. It took about 15-20 minutes. I get there, and they tell me they're out of sweet potatoe fries. So they gave me regular fries instead. I was okay with that. However, when I checked my food, I saw they gave me barbecue wings. They took the food back to the kitchen, came back 2 minutes later and said my order was fixed. I check the food, and the "buffalo" wings looked really dark. The chicken looked different from before, but lighting made it hard to really tell. After coming home to better lighting, and taking a bite, I realized they really did toss the barbecue wings in buffalo sauce. Even the fries still had barbecue residue on them. I may have gotten my money back, but that was a lot time wasted on disappointment.

Richard Mahaffey: Another very nice venue and very popular happy hour gathering place. Patriots are very friendly and happy. Also employees appear to be happy and seem to love their job and the people that come there...

Alex Lafond: Came here alone one night after work for a beer and food, entered through the patio where the was a sign that said "wait here to be seated". So I did. I sat there for 10 minutes while the bartender walked past me 5 or 6 times before acknowledging I was there. When he did, his first words to me were "Can I help you?" in a snotty tone. I replied yeah sign says wait to be sat, and he rolled his eyes and said "Sit wherever you want". Waitress only came over after 10 minutes to take food and drink order. After everything came out, only saw her again when she said, "Would you like the check?". Only reason this review is getting a 2 star and not 1 is because the food was actually ok and not absolute trash. During my time, the bartender just openly complained about anything and everything and was just not an over all pleasant person. I have been back one time since, didn't get any attitude, but service was slow as hell. Likely won't be coming back unless I have no other option or am really hungry and dont want to wait.

Ren Jax: Any place with sweet potato fries is already thumbs up for me. Aside from that, the staff was present, and friendly. The food was seasoned just right, and I loved the portions served. We sat on the patio around lunchtime, which looked like it was used for extra storage space in some sections. A little crowded, the tables and chairs could probably be arranged to better utilize the space, or just use less of them in the space.

Gus Nordhielm: Unbelievably aggressive and condescending manager. She spoke to my partner in an incredibly demeaning manner and refused us service when I asked her not to speak to us that way.

Xenon Booth: Great outdoor space for those not ready for indoor mingling yet. Remember to pack your proof of vaccination and photo ID (not on phone). Drinks are reasonably priced though service was a little slow.

Emily Smith: Definitely check out Union Pub! The bartenders were so sweet and the food was just awesome. Really great atmosphere both outside and in the back at the bar. Check it out asap!

Jason Dubar: We were in the area and needed to escape the heat and find a nice drink to cool off with. So, finding good reviews for Union Pub, we decided to give it a try. I ordered a local beer and my fiance wanted one of their mixed drinks they offer - they were out of the ingredients. Ok, no problem. She ordered a different mixed drink - nope, out of those too. Feeling defeated, she ordered a beer, which the bartender said was good...it was not, but it helped beat the heat. We did not try their food, which must be good, as there was a good sized crowd seated outside.

Wet Dog Tavern: what do users think?

Stephen King Jr.: We love this place and so does our dog! It's our favorite pit stop when we go to Whole Foods. A unique experience if your a dog lover in the DC area.

James Lee: Best bar to take your dog. Just wish they wouldn't be so strict about closing the front gate, otherwise we'd be there more often with our dog.

Frank Gorman: Great patio, super friendly staff, cheap beer and an awesome projector situation to watching games. A++ neighborhood bar.

Siran He: I want to like it.. I’m new to the area and have been looking for dog friendly restaurants, breweries, and bars. From the ads of this place, it seems so dog friendly! Turns out there are two patios but dogs are only allowed on the smaller front patio… and tied up. so what exactly is the difference between this place and all other bars/restaurants with a patio?! The door person is very nice, so are bar staff. But if the place is not exactly as advertised, may need to modify the ads to be less misleading. The previous breweries/bars that I’ve visited where ‘dog friendly’ is a selling point, dogs can actually be anywhere on the premise, and some of them have leash free areas.

Melissa Barron: I visited five bars in U St on Saturday night and Wet Dog was by far my favorite. I loved the quick outdoor bar service, ample seating options and bar games (Connect Four and Cornhole). Everyone seemed to be having a good time and the music wasn't too loud. The drink selection and prices were reasonable. I would definitely consider going back to Wet Dog the next time I go out in the U St area.

Alison Neary: I can’t say enough good things about this place. 1. Awesome beer selection 2. Board games and corn hole to keep you entertained 3. DOGS! As the name suggests (minus being wet) dogs are welcome here on the front patio. You can come to drink, socialize and meet new neighborhood dogs. 4. Chill Vibe - it’s so relaxing and comfortable here - not stuffy at all 5. Winter friendly. If you do come in the fall/winter months, they’ll still have the back patio open - it’ll be tented with heated lamps 6. THE BURGERS. Oh my goodness Mélange Burgers. This would be number one on my list, but I wanted to save the best for last. Sometimes, I just come here to eat a burger because it’s so good - I crave it. My mouth is watering as I write this just thinking about it. I rave about this burger to everyone I meet, and when I finally bring them to try it, they’re speechless with how good it is - they end up ordering a second one because it’s so good. The menu is limited (three selections and sometimes a he has a special) but that’s all you need. The burger just melts in your mouth with every bite. I had to google the chef to learn more about this burger after my first experience, and I learned that he studied culinary arts in France and formerly worked at Michelin-starred Caviar Russe in New York. This guy brings those rich flavors from his French culinary background and incorporates them into his burgers. I don’t know how he does it, but the way he combines flavors is incredible. You will not be disappointed by this burger. And if you’re a slightly picky eater like me, they’ll take off the tomato and onion for you.

Chris Hauge: I liked the outdoor bar area quick service, ample room to visit with patrons and share "Dog Stories". Liked the Bar Games and the vibe of this place.

Pier LaFarge: Not a bad spot as off-of-U-st younger, bro-y crowd hotspots go. Acoustics aren't terrible and the back patio has corn hole and a burger grill that wafts nice smells over the crowd, but too many broken heat lamps, likely sacrifice to overly enthusiastic bros of evenings past and a straight down the middle drink selection and relatively high prices keeps this one squarely in the basic category.

Matt: Good beer selection! The wooden bar was pretty cool too.

Robert Perez: Long story short- arrived at 1:45pm. Saw that the door and gate was open so we walked in with the hopes of scoring a table (no reservation made). A worker there told me to "back up" multiple times and I was not sure why. He then brought a table out and blocked the gate and shut it. This is when he let us know that they weren't open until 2pm. Fair enough, it was just a tad rude. At 2:02pm another group showed up and asked why were just standing there and insisted that it opened at 2pm. I told them what just happened and the other group approached the door also hoping to check in (no reservation). That's when the "back up" man told them that they were completely booked and weren't taking walk-ins. That would have been nice to know. At about 2:05pm we re-approached the door wondering what was going on. We politely asked for details of the seating situation or if we were even going to have to book a last minute reservation. Mid sentence, the same man literally shut the door, locked it, and walked away from the situation. I could not believe it. Finally, a female came outside and started to get us a seat but said we were only able to sit for 1 hour because the place was actually booked at 3pm (not 2pm as previously stated). All personnel we encountered that day had AWFUL attitudes. What sent it over the edge and required this review was the man who shut the door on our faces. Unbelievable. It grossed out the next 3 groups who were in line behind us and got to witness all of that.

Kirwan’s on the Wharf: what do users think?

Abhinav: Food: 3/5 Ambience:4/5 Service: 3.5 /5 The patio of this place on the wharf is pretty cool. We went there just because of that. The food was very mediocre for the prices they charge. We went around 9:15am, we had to ask for the menu twice, ask the waiter to bring cutlet after food was served. We were give only one menu card for a table of three. I guess the waiter was tired for the day but nevertheless expected better than that.

Kyle D: Cool place at the Wharf. Nice atmosphere, however the food was just okay. I’ve had better fish and chips before (the breading fell off the fish and didn’t seem to be seasoned as well as it could). The crab cake appetizer was very good, however.

Travis Alvarado: Service was good and location wasn't bad at all with seating outside, indoors on two floors. Lighting on the inside was a little dark for my taste after the sun went down. The food was great. The Flat Bread Pizza, and Fish and Chips seemed to be what everyone was getting besides all the drinks. Overall I enjoyed it and would go back again for the food and staff.

Antoinette Levon: Service was good. Cocktails were tasty. Food was ok. The Mushroom Soup was really good. But the Caesar Salad lacked dressing and some of the lettuce was brown and old. The gnocchi and squash dish was ok as well. The Pot Pie tasted like it needed something. was a bit bland. Overall it will do if you are hungry and want a drink before our concert. Next time we will try somewhere else.

* dnainsb: Really nice Irish pub located directly on the wharf. It has covered outdoor seating that it is beautiful. The food is classic English pub food. For example Shepherd's pie, bangers and mash, fish and chips, the menu is quite large if English pub food is not what you're looking for. There's a lot of alternatives. It's a really great place right on the wharf.

Paul LaVigne: Kirwans on the wharf is located right at the waterfront and is a good place to go if you have a hankering for Irish pub food. The location is excellent, and the interior is decorated very nicely, but the back room Bar area was exceedingly warm. That would be ok on a cool evening, however it was 90+ degrees when we went in and they’re looking to get relief from the heat. The bartender/waitress who served us was very nice and did a great job of making us feel comfortable. The food was superb as well. I had the bacon and cabbage meal which consisted of pork loin, bacon, cabbage and I opted for the sweet potato fries. It was one of the best pub meals I’ve had. My wife had the lamb burger with colcannon mash. She said it was the best burger and mashed potato dish she’s ever had.

catch_hug: Great for beers and a quick bite. Waiters seem all very good trained and attentive. Food was spiced dezent and authentically, even though the tuna poke (wich btw is not what you are serving) was way too much sesame. Local craft beers on tap, try the sour.

Sam D: Stopped here to avoid the humid day. Great atmosphere and cool a/c. I grabbed a Chicken Pot Pie and it was the best crispy crust and chicken was on point. Highly recommend 10/10

Elizabeth T.: We stopped in here for a few drinks after a free concert and we’re happy with the prices considering the area. We stayed for a few appetizers and I honestly wasn’t that impressed. It did it’s job with curbing my hunger but it was enough for us to choose to go somewhere else for dinner. They sat us quickly and the waitress was very attentive to our needs and brought out the food quickly.

Thao Huynh: Great views and service! The seafood tasted fresh, but it just felt like it needed some more flavor. The drinks were honestly not that great but they look good. Bathrooms look cool but there needs to be more light. For the prices, food quality could have been better, but our server was amazing.

The Brighton: what do users think?

Kelly Hyer: Different take on food and drinks! Open seating, order everything at the bar. Pay ahead. You get a table # and food brought out to you. I hand a house made summer shandy and it was delicious. Kids liked their fish+chips and chicken tenders. My veggie burger was fab as well.

Brandon DePalo: Good food, great service, good atmosphere. We stopped here for lunch and drinks. The drinks were good (a bit weak, but tasty). Food was good. I had the chicken curry and it was great, and a perfect portion for lunch. My wife had the fish and chips and there was only 2 little fish pieces. Prices are typical for DC, expensive.
Response: Thanks for the feedback Brandon! We will definitely let our chef know about the portions on the fish n chips.

Malcolm Rouse - West: With incredible lighting the Brighton is the perfect place for a meal. The custom blender burger is one of the best burgers I've had in year's. It's juicy with a nice texture and chew. The wings are as delicious as they are beautiful. I recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Response: Thanks for the review Malcolm!

Caleb Newman: Cocktails are a bit pricey and the lack of a happy hour is disappointing. Atmosphere is good with a great location for river and people-watching. The crab dip is a must-try and the pairing of naan chips is excellent. Good service and polite staff!
Response: Thanks Caleb!

Chrissie Powell: Yummy food, great music and awesome service. Our bartender, Quinn was amazing—it was packed on St Patty’s Day weekend (Saturday) but he was so attentive and friendly. The hostess was great too. Great vegetarian options!

Mo Love: This was my first time at this restaurant and my last. The server was great, but the food was absolutely horrible. I had the Vegan Burger. The avocados were mushy, the burger was horrible and the lettuce, tomatoes and pickle looked like they had seen better days. My aunt had the Chicken Ceasar and the chicken was dry. We took 2 bites of our food and pushed the plates to the side. I do not recommend this restaurant.
Response: Hi Mo. Thank you for leaving this review. We will definitely let our chefs know about your experience.

Crystal BelleAmie: The only place we found on the Wharf for dine-in eating. The food was par for bar food. We had to order food at the bar and was given a number to take back to the table, then the food was brought to us. Service was lackluster. Bathrooms were almost as hot and steamy as it was outside. Probs won't be back anytime soon.

Joseph Puryear: Great atmosphere and vibe but I waited an hour for my burger which I never ended up getting. I followed up multiple times and was told they'd "look into it and get it for me". Finally gave up after an hour since my whole party had eaten and was just sitting waiting for me.
Response: Hi Joseph! So sorry about your experience! If you would please message us we would love to make it up to you. Thank you for your feedback!

Dimitry Pomika: It was testy, good staff, but after Malbec and ape role shpritz 4 hr vomited… so i dont know what’s going on here?!

Trudy Hall: Sat at the bar after an event at The Anthem. Nice, friendly service. Very loud, very busy. Sitting over looking the water with the garage doors open was a treat. Didn't eat food but beer & cocktails were fine. Young crowd.

The Dubliner Restaurant: what do users think?

H: I have never had a sublime turkey burger until I went here. Half a pound patties on toasted brioche buns with a side of thick cut fries. Great spot to hit a spot for pub food. The fries were a tad overly seasoned for my taste but I was thoroughly impressed by the burger of the day and the bison burger. Okay service. Restaurant is connected to a hotel in the back. Outdoor patio seating available. Nice atmosphere even though music was a bit too loud at times to converse.

Samar Al Kobrossy: Great place! The food is tasty and flavorful. The portions are big. The decoration is amazing. The waiters are attentive and can give you tips on how to navigate your way around the city. You can sit down, relax, and enjoy your food while listening to some beautiful Irish songs.

Kelly Hyer: Great local choice. Fabulous service and really great food. When in an Irish spot, must have the fish and chips. Seasoned fries- yum. Sooo good, highly recommend. Pretzel stix appetizer delish. Nice kids options too 👌 🌭 🍟

Brett Daviau: Breakfast was great. Salmon bagel with all the fixings. Poor server was trying her best to handle the whole shop by herself. Hope she can get some help. Delicious.

Thomas Suckow: The Monte Cristo sandwich was very delicious, the waitress said it was her mother's favorite and I can understand why. The meat was tender and cut easily with a fork despite the number of layers. Corn beef and hash was the best my wife ever had.

Bobbi DeAnda: AMAZING SERVICE!!! Food was ok, but the service was amazing. So friendly. So fast. So responsive. I actually left my sunglasses and someone ran them out to me!!! The French fries are AMAZINGGGGGG, but the rest of the food was just ok. Fish and chips, fish ok. Burger, ehh. I ordered the burger medium and it was well done. Probably a great spot for drinks and snacks, but wouldn’t go for lunch again. For drinks and French fries, YES!

Edward O'Beirne: Decent menu, good quality food, worth going again. Service was lackluster, possibly an element of understaffed but the place was nearly empty on a Friday afternoon 1pm. Greek salad with salmon was enjoyed. Philly cheesesteak about average. Cold beers. Nice outdoor seating view. Not first choice but would return.

Yvonne: From out of town and the Dubliner was our choice for dinner one night as it was close to our hotel. The service was meh, the place was quaint. The menu is small; however fish & chips were an option, I asked the waiter for his opinion between that and the Irish beef stew. He immediately said fish & chips. Three small strips of dry fish lightly breaded and lacking flavor, at least the fries were good, as was the pickle. I couldn't imagine what the stew was like if the fish was a better option. The salmon pastrami was said to be "ok" by my hubby. For the price of the food and the quality, it wasn't worth it to us, as we have enjoyed Irish pubs and this place doesn't hold a candle to any of them.

craig mossinger: This is an absolute must for lunch! Service is quick and friendly! Fish n chips and the Irish Rueben are phenomenal.

Steve Meier: Great place, and of course what do you order at an Irish Resturant? Fish & Chips and it was probably the best I have ever had. Some of my coworkers were Shepherd Pie fans and a couple others were more traditional and had a Chicken Sandwich. The common theme was everyone was happy with their meal. Service was great and atmosphere was pleasant.

The Fox and Hounds Lounge: what do users think?

Brian Redder: I confirmed with the waitress before ordering that the online menu was valid, then when she brought the check all the prices were 3-8 dollars more. She said the website was old and it didn’t work that way anymore. She refused to correct it even after i pointed out she said at the beginning the website was fine. Very disappointed as the food was not worth the price. My dish went from $10 to $18. Cannot recommend this place.

Nazanin Eshan: The owner was probably the best part of this restaurant's experience. He was so funny, we almost peed our pants. Food wise, we liked the Philly cheese steak.

Jordan Wolfe: Racist. The bartenders did not believe a friend when asking for their card back, even after multiple white people in the group easily got their cards. Didn’t even apologize after realizing they did in fact have the card. Will not be returning.

M Ramachandran: Great very satisfying and fresh American eats. Like a Midwest diner with fresh veggies and simple, pure ingredients. Incredible staff and patio!

dipika: F&H is a model neighborhood bar. Spacious patio, well priced drinks, friendly owners & service, all around perfect for a no-frills outing. No notes.

Walter Bayer: Cool spot for Monday night beers after a rec league game. Staff is super friendly and drinks are well priced.
Response: Thanks for visiting & sharing your experience with us , it will help us serve you better in your next visit…see you soon!

Candace Walls: Terrible wait staff, random “bar charge on bill” not honoring happy hour when it clearly says on the site happy hour. Too much stuff to list. I will def not be going back

Betty Gonzalez: Terrible service! Bartender was racist toward my friend and tried to gaslight him into thinking he gave my friend his card back, when the card was on the floor behind the bar. Once they found it, they gave it back to him without an apology of how rude he was acting.

Chris Boosalis: verry friendly, owner great personality glad to serve you good food verry reasonable prices plenty choices can't go wrong

soupergrover: I really like this sports bar - usually pretty chill, lots of TVs, good bartenders, and reliable food - with some nice veg options, if you're into that. I'm new to the neighborhood, and have probably gone to watch games about 7-8 times. Bartenders Simon and Alex are friendly and have always changed the channel to watch different games when asked. (I find it odd that some places with TVs look at you like you have 3 heads when you ask to change the channel, and you're the only person in the joint....but not here.) I love the impossible burger and grilled cheese. Very very solid spot, and now my neighborhood go-to when I want to watch a game.

The Lucky Bar: what do users think?

Saif Al-Alawi: This is the official supporters bar for Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United. They offer some local IPA and I recommend the 3 Stars if you love your simcoe hops. The bathroom upstairs is a work out but clean. Glad I hit it early before those United fans stunk it up.

Becky Gardiner: Watched the euro semi final here! Great sport pub... Some amazing football scarves all over. Beer flowing and plenty of TV's - staff were really friendly!

Joe Joemer: The breakfast was excellent, the staff was very nice, and the rates were fair. Fantastic collection of draft beers chosen by a beer expert.

Anna: The bold old grumpy bartender (owner?) Spoke at nausium about showing UEFA game only for us to drive 30 minutes. Once we came into the bar, he said "we didn't tell him it was a live stream" (I did twice) and that he had never heard of Paramount . He kept saying that the bar will close in an hour and he needs to have dinner with his daughter (who cares). After 12 minutes of such monologue, we left under his screaming cussing terrade

Alex McKnight: Best bar in DC for soccer fans! I'm a Manchester City fan myself, but Man United, Arsenal as well as national fandoms all congregate here on matchdays and it's always a good time. Drinks are reasonably priced, food is good, can't go wrong. My only advice is to get here early during important matches, the bar definitely has a limited capacity and may not let you in if it has filled up, especially during Covid.

Samantha Elizabeth: After being rejected by Decades nightclub, my boyfriend suggested Lucky Bar for drinks. I liked how dices of different sizes were mounted within the bar counter. When we sat at the bar, at first we had to wait to place a drink order. I asked for a drink menu and the bartender Shannon asked what kind of drinks I liked. They had three types of ciders - Magners, Woodchuck, and Angry Orchard. I ended the night with an Angry Orchard.

Geoffrey Fleming: Excellent bar, good atmosphere for sports and good on prices for both food and drink. Ordered a Philly cheese steak and it was delicious. Great selection of beers and food. Definitely recommend for anyone around the area looking for a good sports bar and excellent service. The bar staff were excellent, especially the lady Shannon who took care of us all night.

Michael Wiredu: The atmosphere is electric win lose or draw. Great place for Gunner fans. And the food is very good.

Todd Boppell: Great place to catch an Arsenal game! Staff is super friendly, breakfast was great, and prices are reasonable! Awesome draft beer selection curated by someone who knows beer.

Skanbass: Good sport bar. I went there a lot during the African soccer cup. One of the only bar that passes the games.

The Midlands Beer Garden: what do users think?

Karen Elise: Our plane arrived early and the Airbnb wasn’t quite ready so we brought our stuff and chilled here. The smell of the food was amazing! We enjoyed the beer, the atmosphere, the food! A wonderful experience

Casey McAllister: We had a great time at the beer garden here. A lot of great beers on on tap and just a fun environment overall definitely will be back.

Shaun Masavage: Wonderful establishment. Super friendly towards everyone, every person, families, etc. Overheard bartenders talking about an upcoming donation of a day's profits to charity. Just great people! Food is awesome as well. So many vegetarian options!

India Lindsay: Fun casual beer garden with a lively environment and solid drinks. Great beer selection with gluten free options. Lots of tables with both indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect for a Saturday

Jessica Corley: The courtyard is a great place to hang out in the afternoon. There are plenty of beers on the list, and it seems like there are new ones added every once in a while. My only complaint was a table nearby was blowing cigarette smoke in our direction, pretty unusual for DC bars.

John Schafer: Stopped in to grab a beer with friends. They have a nice selection of beers available, and it's a very relaxed environment. They maintain several water stations in the place, which was really nice. Next time we are there, we will need to order some appetizers, as well.

Chad Robinson: Great selection of local beers, imports and ciders. Good food, fast service, friendly staff and excellent outdoor seating when the weather is being cooperative. Solid place to grab some brews with friends.

Eamonn Bethel: There was a lot to like: Good setup, decent beer, great nachos. But the staff all seemed so angry and utilitarian. Literally every interaction with any staff member was cold or straight up rude.

Paige Girson: A great spot for groups with indoor and outdoor seating (with fire pits!) and lots of large screens for game watching. Dog friendly too! Great beer selection that's always rotating. Everyone's IDs are checked at the door

Christina Malliris: Midlands is the best--great local beer, awesome large indoor/outdoor space, delightful snacks/a great bahn mi. They have TVs, board games, darts, heaters in the winter and it's generally a great vibe all around.

The Dew Drop Inn: what do users think?

Caroline Fernandez: I stopped by the dew drop Inn after taking a long walk through the Metropolitan branch trail to see the mirrors from the DC walls event. The dewdrop in was nice and low-key and the vibe that I was going for after a long walk of being in the sun. They drink when you was not incredibly expensive but had all the key types of drinks you’re looking for including some fun mixed drinks unique to the location. The menu requires a QR code scan so make sure that your phone is charged. There’s also some food on site however on the weekends you have to order at the food truck rather than through the bar. If you get a chance to check this place out, try their DC Brau collaboration.

Christopher and Heather Cole: The atmosphere is top notch. This is our favorite bar to visit when we are feeling celebratory. They have friendly staff, delicious drinks and epic music. We really enjoy sitting out on their large outdoor deck.

Landis Rojas: Good place to have a drink with friends! I really enjoyed being here! Good music, drinks, energy and more. Some of the employees are bilingual and that's great. I hope to be back soon!

Ashley Robertson: Such a fun, chill spot off the beaten path. Great pit stop near the Metropolitan Branch Trail. There was a food truck parked nearby and quick service for drinks. Walk further down the trail and you can make a 2nd stop at City-State Brewing.

Evan Ribeiro: Super great space! Staff was friendly and attentive. Music was stellar with DJs who are passionate about their craft. This place is real easy to miss if you aren't looking for it but you'll be really happy you discovered it once you do. Food truck within steps made Nom noms effortless to get. Plenty of outdoor seating and indoors was equally spacious. A+

Richard Soler: Great atmosphere in here. The music has always been good. The energy was so contagious and we had a blast here. Would come back again soon.

Mauro Uriza: This review is not for everyone, this is my favorite type of place... neighborhood bar with great drinks, solid hang out music and an outside deck on the railroad tracks right under an overpass. Relaxed local spot for the neighborhood and a must stop for a couple of beers if you're in the area.

D: One of my favorite bars. It's got a great vibe, cheap drinks, metro access AND parking (DC unicorn) and a great staff.

Luis Zaldivar: Loved this chill spot. They seem to have different vibes going on depending on the day. I dropped in for country and quality whisky. Service was very laid back and efficient.

Marc Laplante: Hidden gem. Great place to hang out with friends in a whimsical atmosphere (inside) or a large patio outside.

Biergarten Haus: what do users think?

Tamara Willden: Raspberry lemonade and passion fruit sprite. I got a bauernwurst, bratwurst and knackwurst sausage platter served with sauerkraut, potato pancake and bacon/sweet chili brussel sprouts. My husband got the jägerschnitzel. Everything was absolutely amazing, especially the live music! We even requested a few songs. The starter platters, the spinach artichoke dip and tex mex egg rolls, we're so delicious. The entrees were even better. I will definitely return to this place and 100% recommend to everyone.

Rachel Cipkins: This place was awesome! There is plenty of seating (we sat on the rooftop). They have a great beer selection & the food was great. We especially loved the shandys.

Stephan: Disappointed about all the hype. Ordered a Lemon Shandy aka "Berliner Weisse" and it came with ice cubes. Never had beer with ice cubes so that was a new one going to a Bier Garten. Food was OK but surprisingly filling. Sadly the service was lacking; had ordered the Reuben Sandwich and asked for spicy additions. Wasn't offered the 75 cent jalapeno option that comes with burgers sadly. Drinks were never refilled and the bill never arrived when asked. Sadly the rooftop terrace was also closed. Maybe better service next time around?

Stephanie G: What a fantastic place for date night. They have Giant steins of kolsch and authentic schnitzel. I was so so happy. I definitely recommend this to everyone.Great atmosphere, warm fire on the inside if you need, and it only gets better, especially later in the evening.

Gianna C Boyer: This place was really nice. The drinks and food were good but the workers really changed the game for me. The customer service was amazing and the workers were super personable. I normally wouldn't bring my 2 year old to a place like this but we were here for a friend's birthday. My son was just being a typical 2 year old and doing the absolute most because he so curious about everything. So he saw Kaylee( i hope i spelled her name right) and he just took to her and wanted to be by her side the whole evening. She was so sweet and kind to my little boy. She walked around with him as busy as she was and my son loved every second he was with her. He is never this friendly with anyone but we could tell she had a good spirit. I really want to thank her for being so patient and sort of giving my husband and I a break from entertaining him. Lol The rest of the staff was amazing i wish I got the names of the others that were working but thank you to them too for being patient with our little boy.

Hong Hanh Dinh: If you're craving authentic German beer, this is the place. Just prepare to pay a bit more than what you're used to in Germany. It is imported after all! If you're living in Germany like me and miss that Biergarten vibe, this is the right place! They have a huge outdoor seating that very much exudes those Biergarten vibes. It's a nice place to chill with friends on a hot summer's night or watch the world cup/UEFA European championship!

Erich Meier: Great place to have a beer and brats with buddies! Just a simple brew hall but were beer and brats intended to be complicated?

Keith Boyea: I've been going to the Biergarten Haus for many years for good reason. It consistently delivers a good experience. It has a mix of beers you don't typically see and they sell them by the liter. Good vibes too, gets a bit loud inside but there is plenty of outdoor seating.

Christine Swanson: This place has gone downhill since they changed management. Only about half of the menu is German (food and beer). When I asked to substitute a side on a dish, I was told by the manager that I could not because it would take 10 minutes for their kitchen to do so. I'm not sure what kind of kitchen setup they have where sides aren't already ready to go to add to a plate, but ten minutes is ridiculous, and it made me feel like the manager was lying to me. The ambiance is still good, but given that they've removed most of the biergarten items including a lot of the classic German sides, I would be hard pressed to return. I left feeling like I overpaid for the hope that this place would still be great.

Kate Spinello: BE WARNED: No longer the Biergarten Haus we knew and loved. No character. No charm. No dogs allowed. This place used to be an authentic German biergarten with a casual, relaxed atmosphere, and a large selection of German beers and menu items. Dogs were not only allowed but welcomed. We would spend our Spring, Summer & Fall weekends here with our dog and friends. But then it closed for renovations... We went back for the first time since they reopened and what a disappointment. They stripped all the charm, character and atmosphere that it used to have. It now has the same ubiquitous beer list as every other bar in DC. The only German items on the menu are pretzels and schnitzel... but now they have nacho egg rolls and ceviche? We are so disappointed and back on the hunt for a new neighborhood local (Bonus points for dog friendly).

Barkhaus: what do users think?

jason mcnatt: I have been coming here since it opened the beer menu is always on point and the food is fresh made to order. The best chicken wings in the region and fries are allways crunchy. My dogs come home exhausted from the play. Really nice place to hangout, and meet new people. I have great conversations with staff and the patrons. I highly recommend this place with or without a dog.

Janay McIntosh: What a great place! The staff were attentive and helpful. If it’s your first visit they will walk you through everything. I made a reservation for a few people and they reserved tables in their outdoor dining area for us. We were able to enjoy our food while watching our dogs play. Well a few of them couldn’t keep their eyes off of us while we ate as you see in the pictures but a few of our pups managed to tough it out and stayed on the dog side until we were done eating. FYI your dog can be unleashed in the enclosure but they have to be leashed in the area where people eat. Overall it was a great experience and much nicer than the traditional dog park. Definitely a great place to meet your friends with dogs and have a drink and a meal.

Rich Loosle: Can’t stay away from this business. Owners and staff are so friendly. Dogs absolutely love it. Luckily this place exists for those who don’t even have dogs …like me….to come visit for great food and drink options while enjoying watching pups play …Barkhaus is much more dog focused while keeping a modern vibe …..The design allows dogs to release their energy…. But owners are still able to supervise them …..and the on leash areas help control the chaos that sometimes comes with having dogs combined with a restaurant. Love it all around.

Andrea M. Watling: This place is totally awesome! We hit a lot of traffic going here but it was totally worth the drive. It was a shame the weather didn't cooperate but the event was just as fun. The place has two designated parking spot- one of which was a disabled parking spot but there's plenty of street parking. I brought my dog, Bella, and my sister brought Gracie. They both had a lot of fun mingling with other dogs. The had an outside gated seating area but it was raining so we only stayed indoors. They have two floors inside which the second floors was an off-leash area. They had a nice vibe going. They had staff come check your dog's shot records if it's your first time going there but everything is pretty much done online so you just need to show them proof of immunizations. It's a really nice place to grab a bite and drinks while you let your dogs mingle with other doggies. The staff was super friendly and was very efficient with the customer needs and helping clean up accidents in a very timely manner. I loved how they have a few areas to explore. There's a main seating area where you can place your food and beverage orders. They have a nice selection of drinks and carried one of our household faves- High Noon. They also have a lot of delicious selection of food. We got in very late but our CM, Stephanie was nice enough to order more food when we got there. We got to try the parmesan cheese fries, chicken wings, sweet potato chips, flat bread pizza and yummy guacamole. My favorite was probably the flat bread pizza and the fries. Although I could've eaten the guacamole all by itself. What a nice experience. Our whole pawmily had a great time at this YES event! We'll definitely have to come back when the weather is nicer so we can enjoy the outdoors.

Madelyn Williams: A great idea, but the dog park area gets really crowded, and some of the dogs get aggressive. The owners either don’t care, or are too tipsy to notice. I think it would be beneficial to have a limit on how many pups can be out at a certain time or maybe reservations only. The food however was great, and the drinks as well.

Chris Drudick: Overall a great place, the staff is very attentive, the drink selection is a good balance, the food is really good and tasty. Love how you have to register your dog and prove that they are vaccinated, gives you a peace of mind while letting your dog play. My only wish is that it was just slightly more spacious outside to let the dogs run more and also that the guests are more attentive to their dogs going to the bathroom. Multiple times there were times where people just didn’t care and didn’t pick up their dog’s waste. With all that said we will definitely be back.

Mike Park: It’s a wonderful place for dogs to play and run around, and for hoomans to meet new people and relax watching dogs play. Also the food is incredible! We usually go with a burger and a hot dog, and to me this is the best burger I’ve had anywhere (and I am a huge burger aficionado). Definitely worth a visit, you won’t regret.

Davina T: a place for your doggos to make other doggo friends as you kick back and enjoy food and drink?! fell in love with the place immediately! also super friendly and helpful staff. other dog parents were as watchful (as they should be) so no rogue or unsupervised rowdiness. yummy food (k-wings were crispy and fries were truffley) and cold beer. YUP

Ursula McNamara: I absolutely LOVE Barkhaus! Great food, friendly staff, and lots of fun events. Even more fantastic are how eager they are to work with local pet organizations to host fundraising and adoption events.

Jon Moro: Great place to hang with our pup so he can run around off leash and meet new friends. We’ve been coming since the first weekend Barkhaus opened and absolutely love it!

Kelly's Irish Times: what do users think?

C F: Yum! Food, service and prices are great. It's an older bar with plenty of seating indoors and some seating outdoors too. I tried the chicken tenders, burger, fries and tots. If you like tots, this is your place!! I've also had the fish and chips before and it's good too. Everything comes out fresh and hot!!

brandon cozad: I have attended this pub multiple times since 2006. The food and service is good. Typical Irish fare. The atmosphere during is legendary if you're a police officer and attend during National Police Week, as Kellys' is the go-to location to hangout.

Beth Diaz: Best hang out during police week- get there early if you want a table and expect to be there till closing! Great time.

blessone74: The food was very delicious 😋 I must say.

Lavender Kelley: This bar near Union Station makes for a welcoming place for travelers but it's truly a locals bar at heart. The staff are what make this place great but the beer selection is solid and the food is very good too. Also, you can spend hours looking at all the various law enforcement patches.

Craig Wasielewski: Looks are very deceiving. Inside it's rough around the edges, patrons are regulars and made me feel right at home. Try the shrimp and cod platter deep fried. The tater tots were amazing and you get so many of them. The Caesar salad with grilled chicken was a very nice portion. Drink prices also very reasonable. They do have live music.

Cheap Laugh Kennedy: This has really gone down hill. Went there for the first time after Covid hit and it just wasn't the same. I hope it improves, use to be a great place.

Buster Doney: Good service but the burger and fries leave much to be desired. I ordered my burger medium rare and it came out grey, well done. No flavor whatsoever. And the fries look like sysco fries, nothing like the skin-on potatoes in the photos for this place. Good place to grab a drink though if you're visiting from out of town and going through Union Station.

C B: The staff was very friendly and polite plus the pub food was good and tasty. The wall is decorated with police emblems from across the country and is located within walking distance from the train station. We will return!

Joice Tjen: My favourite food here is the corned beef. It's tender and tasty, served with cabbage, potato and carrot, all are tender and full of flavor. This feels like a very healthy meal!

Ivy and Coney: what do users think?

Ian Hickman: Solid, no frills bar that has a roofless section that kills it when the weather is nice. Drinks are reasonable for the DC area. Make sure to check their daily specials. Plus, they might also have off-menu items so no need to be shy. Had their pizza for the first time the other day (Detroit Style) and is easily some of the best in the area. Although my pie had a little less sauce than another customer's, I didn't fret. The dough had been cooked to perfection, emanating a golden-brown hue only lightened by the cheese above it. Furthermore, Ivy & Coney's is larger than most here locally, too, so naturally, +1. Now that I've been turned on to their non-drink menu, I've found even more reasons to stop by. I suggest you do the same. Rating this pizza 4.1 (out of 5)

Danny Shelton: Can I have an old fashioned? Nope. Can I have a lemon drop? Nope. Can I have a shot of well whiskey, a beer, curly fries, a chili dog, and a pizza? Oh, and chicken wings. And a Malort chaser. Coming right up. It's among the best bars in the city. Likely the best.

Kim A. Linonis: Lived the upper deck. Roof opens. Plenty of heaters for the up coming colder months. Decent enough selection of beers and whiskeys. Awesome deep dish pizza. Great staff.

Avinash Maniam: Great value, just good vibes. Both the inside and outside bars👍🏾 Asked for hot sauce, the bartender didn’t have to accommodate me but he went the extra mile and found some to go with the delicious curly fries. The place to unwind and meet a friend.

Alex Lafond: $6 Miller Lite and shot of Four Roses Whiskey. Malort. Detroit style pizza. Hot Dogs. This place is a go-to if you want a taste of the mid-west. Hot Dogs and Pizza are single handedly my favorite. As a Central New Yorker who likes to think he knows what wings are, Ivy and Coney absolutely hits the mark.

Kathryn Brewer: Awesome chill space with open air back bar. Fantastic staff! Food is incredible, their cook Luis, awesomely fast to get things out even when the place is packed.

Adam Nguyen: Got blasted on malort and watched some weird Japanese gymnastics with the bar after they wrapped up a competition to draw all 50 us states and capitols from memory. Felt like a party where everyone's invited. Would go again.

Amanda Blake: Excellent if you're looking for a dive bar! Lots of character and fun atmosphere during games. Good drink prices. One pool table, so good luck with that. The other people I was with kept lamenting how "clean" it is now, but I still thought it was plenty grungy (with nice bathrooms, though, which I appreciate).

Nathan Xiao: My favorite place in the neighborhood. Great Chicago / Detroit dive bar with cheap drinks, great food, good vibe. Make sure you try the malort

Jonathan Ellisor: Solid place to hang out with friends after work. They have a deal for 2 hot dogs, a beer and shot that's the go-to starter. As a plus, they have have checked for proof of vaccination well before DC made it required.

Logan Tavern: what do users think?

Nomad USA: Super chill neighborhood tavern. The host there is generally pretentious and cold. I’ve had this issue getting seated at the LT in the past. Their hosts is is far from friendly as is imaginable. Even with the place completely empty, getting a booth probably requires a some type of cash payoff. The servers are super chill and helpful. Menu is great. Wide variety of appetizers and entrees. I had the BBQ Korean wings and the LT burger with truffle fries. The LT burger was just a buck more, truffle fries 2 bucks more, all super tasty and perfect medium rare. They have little alcove by the bar, great for people watching, and the requisite long bar for a casual lunch or dinner. Bathroom. 6/10 for cleanliness.

Kiffa Shirley: Wanted to try something new and made our way to Logan Tavern over the weekend. We ordered the empanada appetizer, and the figgy burger with truffle and B.A.B Grilled Cheese. Everything was delicious but I may have overdone my taste buds with the truffle. They were tasty fries but next time I will just get to enjoy the burger with regular fries. Can't wait to return.

Matthew Cook: Very good food. Plenty of menu variety so everyone should be able to find something. Including some decent vegetarian dishes. Good cocktail and beer selection. Extremely friendly staff and very efficient.

Hong Hanh Dinh: Amazing service here. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly, giving us all the best recommendations and attentive to our needs. The food was amazing. I loved the steak and eggs, it wasn't an aggressive portion but the right sized to be full and comfortable without the discomfort and regret afterwards that you've over eaten. The bloody Marys were awesome! They offer different kinds of bloody Marys and you can choose which topping you'd like. There is also a huge boot sized bloody Mary but i went for an easy individual size. The dessert options are so great. I love the Mango key lime pie which I think is the restaurant favorite. Would come back again and again!

Jay Vizcarra: LGBTQ+ friendly with great eats! I had one of the famous cheeseburgers on the menu which was super tasty. Usually hopping with great people eating there. Centrally located with a pleasant neighborhood walk surrounded by other places to eat in the area.

Darnice Ward: Logan Tavern was a great choice for an after graduation celebration. None of us had ever been to Logan Tavern as we are from out of state. In our party of 14 only 2 of our party members were from the area, and they had never been either. The did not have a table on Open Table to seat all of us so I reserved several tables and hoped they could seat us near one another. I called and talked to someone who said they would and they OVER delivered and seated us together!!! Our food was delicious and each person was happy with their selection. Although the menu is not extensive it has something for everyone. We had everything from wings, burgers, dip, salad and seafood pasta. Drinks were tasty and the alcohol in them was of average amount. Our waiter. He got every order correct and was consistent with checking on us. He brought found out in a timely fashion and waited for me because I was sitting between both tables. He seemed to have another big party as well. However, the only thing is that he seemed slightly annoyed NOT rude just bothered. We would definitely return again if back in the area. Right now it is tough to service the public so I understand our waiter may have been overwhelmed, please be kind to our service workers.

John G: Logan Tavern, an old favorite over the years, haven’t frequented there as much as I used to. However, I’ve stopped in recently for the greatest drinks made by bartender John. Logan has a great fried chicken classic, with wonderful homemade mashed potatoes and generally Swiss chard… I prefer the asparagus, though, so make sure you ask if you want something different. Chipotle chicken sandwich is wonderful as well, and more recently, I have fallen in love with the pulled pork barbecue sandwich, minus the bun… and a couple extra pickle slices! Bartender John is fantastic at getting your order right, your food tasty, even while I subtract a few calories with a few changes! Thanks John for keeping Logan, local, lovely, and (de)licious!

Patty Cannon: Excellent food & service! The chef came out to meet us and to be certain we were happy! Such a wonderful adventure for us! A large group of 10 and there were several couples enjoying dinner around us...as well as bar seating. Excellent choice for dinner!

courtney mims: Nice place but parking can be a challenge. My husband loved the burger and my sister enjoyed the asparagus salad. The garlic and parmesan fries are yummy but I wasn't a fan of the Buffalo shrimp. It was swimming in sauce and too rich with the blue cheese added. The drinks are good and we love that it is pet-friendly.

Michele R McConnell: We had a great experience. I have a food sensitivity / allergies and they were very accommodating. Aubry was a fabulous server and kept up with our drinks and food. The chef came out and discussed food options for myself and delivered!

Red Bear Brewing Co: what do users think?

William Archer: Very close to a metro stop and filled with thoughtful design, delicious drinks, and a curated board game selection. Only had beer and cocktails but was very happy with the entire experience. If I lived closer I would be here all the time meeting people, playing board games, and drinking from the big drink selection. So many small cool touches in how they decorated and designed the space!

Dude Mertens: Easy to reach (about 5 Minutes walk) by Bus (90, 92) or Metro (Red line) is a point to enjoy this Brewpub. You'll not have the one and only favorite beer. Each visit is good for a different one. They offer a great selection of food, for me the Ceasars Salat was the best.

David Cho: Great food, decent beer and average service. Let’s start with the good. Food was amazing! Above par when it comes to bar food. Some of the biggest wings and chicken strips I’ve ever seen. I’m not a big fan of chicken strips. They are usually too dry and don’t have the best crunch, but these were different. Like eating really good fried chicken without the bones. Great flavors too. Wing sauces are a bit confusing and really not a lot of help based on their on line ordering. Some of the crew would stop by and ask if we needed anything, but others really didn’t do much or were down right rude. The beers were ok. Good enough to wash down the food, but none really stood out enough to recall. Definitely a place to try for the food and maybe the beer rotation will get better

Lisa McCullough: Delicious! Love the variety of beers, try ordering 2-3 5oz beers to try the different flavors (which rotate often!). For a fabulous and filling vegan meal, order the mushroom burger, sub gluten free (and vegan) bun for brioche bun, add vegan Gouda and an impossible beef patty. + comes with the side of your choice (salad, French fries). Yum!!

Jaclyn Barrientes: Came here for the first time it was really nice. Beers were good, as was the food. It definitely had a friendly vibe and I'm looking forward to coming here again. It had lots of open space, and communal tables. You can also buy merchandise to take home if you really liked the beers.

J Foodgeek: Nice brewery. The wings were good but they shorted Us One Wing in one of our two orders. I liked krampus on draft.

Jordan Richardson: Great experience here! The beer was great and the staff was so friendly. Stumbled upon this place on an afternoon walk and truly enjoyed my time here. Went with the Peak Bloom cheer wit

Nicole Malphrus: The cheese curds and pretzels were definitely the best ones I've ever had. The pretzels were incredibly soft, and the batter on the cheese curds was amazing! Loved having the option of getting a flight of beers, though none we tried stood out very much.

Mr O: Check this place out all out inclusive in every sense of the word. You will feel welcome no matter where you are from or identify. Great beer and bar food. Chill atmosphere and friendly staff.

Tyler Huff: The beer is Phenomenal!!! Exactly what I like when I go to a brewery. Many different flavors and they actually taste like the menu suggest. This has been one of the BEST BREWERIES I have been to. I cannot wait to come back! Food was super tasty as well!

Exiles Bar: what do users think?

Molly Crabb: Exiles has been the go-to UNC bar during the tournament (and hopefully forever?) and going to all the games has been a BLAST. The waiters were SO accommodating and pushed through a packed room to deliver food with a smile. We had tech issues with the TV and they had multiple people come and try to fix and figured it out quickly! My 64 year old mom even had a good time and said she’d go back.

Shaina Eckles: Great drinks, fantastic atmosphere & super rad bathroom art.
Response: Thanks for the kind words Shaina. We really appreciate it!

Brian Webster: Loved this DC area Buffalonian bar! Exiles is a great location with awesome service, great food, and impressive drink selection. I got the wings (crispy and great) paired with a couple of Labatts, as well as a Catalonian Spritz that was refreshing. This place would be amazing to watch the Bills this fall!
Response: Cheers Brian, fingers crossed for a big year for the Bills

Amit S: The 5th best bar on u street apparently. I still have to find the first four. The whole team is rocking. Good time guaranteed. Love you all!!!

Christopher Williams: A wonderful neighborhood bar. The owners and staff will make you feel at home. Nice outdoor patio with a “hook game.”

Shahnaz Punjani: Nice atmosphere. Friendly with great service. Just what I was looking for. A place to have a drink and chill.
Response: Thank you very much Shahnaz. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Alvin H: Visited this place on the night of my birthday Oct 24. The atmosphere was cool, it was karaoke night so people were having a good time. They had the World Series on multiple flat screens and a projector screen as well. Ordered a burger and fries, and a drink named after Bush's daughter.

kareem shaban: 5 star average! 6 stars for their excellent service, fantastic vibe, outdoor space, great beer, and overall "neighborhood bar" feel! Every bartender is a gem and the owners know their clientele. 4 stars for not discounting their merchandise that says "U Street's 5th Best Bar" now that they are U Streets 3rd best bar.
Response: Kareem thank you for your comments. We are honored to welcome you and your sparkly jackets every single time. We believe in staying humble by being humble, though its sometimes difficult for us. We are working on new t-shirts, watch this space!

Alain Parcan: As a sworn Stetsonite, I never wanted to admit I liked exiles as much as I did but if it isn’t one of the best bars in dc to get a beer and decent bar food, I dunno what is

Toby Willse: Awesome bar! Great beer selection, fun vibes, chill employees. Will be going back whenever I'm in the area.
Response: Thank you for the kind words Toby. Come back and see us next time.

Teddy & The Bully Bar: what do users think?

Liz R: Finally made it for brunch here. I've been wanting to check it out for a while. More of a fine dining experience. Less laid back. Appears that customer service is prized very high here. Food was good - smaller servings than necessary. Nice ambience.
Response: Hello Liz, Thank you very much for the detailed review. We look forward to seeing you again. Appreciatively, Alan

Kathy Moore: Fantastic service and a nicely designed setting made our visit memorable. The menu is somewhat limited, but the food was delicious and beautifully pretended. Would like to see more appetizers that are less like side dishes you'd have with dinner. The ladies bathroom gave me a couple of chuckles.

Julleny Wain: Food was really good but pricey. They do have unlimited mimosas if you do the all you can eat which is $50 per person. The portions as small buy again its all you can eat. The chicken and waffles was amazing, they have a waffles station, omelet station.

Alita brown: I came here for the Christmas dinner. I’m giving it a 3 because the service was good. Unfortunately the food was mediocre and extremely overpriced. $70 buffet style. The meat was absolutely dry and tasteless. I tried both the salmon and chicken , but couldn’t bare to eat either. The sides were good but not worth $70. I don’t think I’ll ever have this type of dining experience over the holidays. I will cook my own.
Response: Hello Alita, My sincere apologies on your experience with us on Christmas Day, I wanted to learn more if you could please send me an email at Justin@prghospitality.com I would most diffidently like to invite you back in. Thank you for your feedback and for helping us improve. Thanks

Hyun Kwak: I had a burger with fries along with sparkling water. the quality of service was ok. the burger was great but the fries were not that fresh. I still give them 4 stars. they have a happy hour menu, but the prices were not too different from the full menu. so, please check both menus even if you go there during their HH. happy dining! :)
Response: Hello Hyun, we will work on making sure our fries are fresh and hot. I apologize and hope to see you again. Be Well, Alan

Amy Rosenquist: The food at this place was absolutely delicious! We ordered an omelet, avocado toast, chicken & waffles, and chocolate chip pancake. The mimosas are small but they have a “bottomless” option if you’re looking to have a goooooood time ;) We sat outside and the umbrellas didn’t do much while the sun was still rising, but once it was overhead it was much shadier!

M B: Bottomless brunch offered a variety of foods and consistent pours throughout the duration of our 2-hr table reservation. Some dishes were less impressive than others, but the pricing and overall experience were unbeatable.
Response: Hello MB Thank you for the great review. We appreciate your business. Kindly, Alan Owner

Jason Wallach: Went there for lunch. Excellent food, but a little slow on the delivery if you are trying to grab a "quick" bite, so be sure to tell the staff if you need speedy food delivery. I ordered the pumpkin soup to start, and it was smooth, rich, and sweet with a dollop of olive oil ricotta that added a fantastic touch of savory saltiness. The portion size was not very large, but the soup was very good. For my lunch entree, I ordered the mushroom risotto. Although the portion size was not large, the risotto was exceptional and very filling. It had blue cheese crumbles all over it, some other cheeses that left strings hanging from my chin, and something like honey that added some sweetness to everything. I cannot wait to return for happy hour or dinner to try their cocktails.
Response: Hello Jason, We thank you for your review. We will work harder at getting the food out to our customers as expeditiously as we can. Appreciatively, Alan Owner Teddy & The Bully Bar

Christopher Kenneth Young Jr: Good service. Thank you Olivia. Food could’ve tasted better for brunch. Lots of small portions during brunch, if the portions were larger, we would’ve ordered less plates. I don’t recommend going for brunch with parties more than six - can be very hectic. If you want an unlimited brunch, I would recommend this place.
Response: Hello Christopher, I am glad Olivia was able to deliver the service that we are always aiming for. I also appreciate your honest feedback in regards to the food and the portions. I would really like to know more about your experience so that I can correct these issues. You can e-mail me at justin@prghospitality.com. Thanks again.

C Simpson: The restaurant atmosphere was beautiful. The brunch options were great. However the food was just okay. George, the manager, was great at accommodating our group and making sure that we were all taken care of. The servers appeared to be overwhelmed .
Response: Good morning, I am sorry that your experience was not up to your expectations. We work hard to provide the highest level of service and food that we can. If there is something we can do for you to make this better, please let me know at alanpopovsky@prghospitality.com

Capitol City Brewing Company: what do users think?

Elizabeth Long: Oh man, the food here was so great. We ate until we were absolutely stuffed. The service was excellent. I was also really impressed by how fast the food came out.

Joseph Wilson: The service was great, the food was delicious, and my partner liked the beer. The atmosphere of the bar was nice in a slightly sophisticated kind of way, and there was plenty of seating. I have one small complaint in that I wish they didn’t charge so much for a salad. I didn’t order a salad though, so maybe they’re huge?

Hilda Kroll: Most restaurants greet their customers with a few words of welcome and a smile. Not here. The Walnut and Apple salad was good, with chicken hot off the grill, although I had to hunt to find some Bleu cheese. Stephanie was my server and was very nice, but I just felt uncomfortable here and won't be going back.

C Yager: Nice brewpub, Excellent bar service, small taplist, bonus that they have a guest tap list as well. The Kolsch was very good, burger was fine, fries were very good , crisp and not greasy. Atmosphere was nice , limited hours during the week, closes early (9pm)

Melissa Marie: The beer was very good. I got the Turkey Club with fries. It was okay, but I probably should have chosen a different item. It was busy, but I did not have to wait. Staff was great.

Corey: Stopped here for lunch after visiting fords theater. The restaurant was clean and staff friendly. That said the food was lack luster and prices high additionally for a brewery they had almost none of their own on tap and a very limited tap list. An ok spot but far from a favorite.

Alexander Herbert: They do flights, ask them about it. The burgers were great. Apparently old bay seasoning is a big deal in this area of the country, so we were sure to get some. The wings did not disappoint.

T J: This place has gone completely downhill since the pandemic. The food is overpriced and absolutely disgusting! I ordered a "fish" taco and have NO clue what I've eaten - other than perhaps plastic/cardboard. See for yourself. Service is slow - even on a slow day in DC with most still working from home...unbelievable.

Rahul Panchal: Very city type look with bright lights and good ambience, we tried their flight which is 5 shots of draft beer and H&11Rickey cocktail. Out of all draft IPA was good and cocktail was worth as well. Definitely worth visiting for the ambience and choice of cocktails they carry.

J S: Nice place well located at a corner close to a lot of woth visiting places of washington DC. Lenghty and spacious bar. A dozen of drafts from 7$. Not too much expensive for the location : burgers 11-15$, salads 10-15$... friendly staff

The Queen Vic: what do users think?

Laura Raymer: Party of 12, no problem! The Queen Vic had us make reservations on their website for our evening dining. We had the best time at The Queen Vic. Upstairs dining for our group was perfect. Our group had chicken pot pie (photo)-fish n chips-speckled hen (daily special)-Brie cheese board (daily special)-and more. Everything came out hot and delicious. Would highly recommend this place to dine and have drinks. Next time in DC area, we will definitely return.

Alyssa Miron: I’ve eaten many a donuts in my life…and these donuts might’ve been some of the best in my life. Not an exaggeration. All the food was great in general, but I will have dirty dreams of those cinnamon sugar dough boys.

S J: Food and drinks were excellent. Friend's food was so salty it was inedible. My food was *fantastic*. The pudding and the donuts were delightful, definitely get. The pudding was probably one of the best things I've ever tasted. The Mac n cheese gnocchi was so salty it was inedible. The potato, cheese, and sauerkraut perogies were OUT OF THIS WORLD. Pro tip: get a side of fries to dip in the leftover gravy. You'll want it. It's outstanding. The brussel sprouts were decent. Nothing to write home about. Didn't really go with the rest of the order, which was *my* fault, but they still were only decent.

Kim Gick: Amazing joint. Small but incredibly lively. Had the perogies (5/5). Chicken and French Toast (5/5). Sunday Roast (5/5). Bangers and Mash (5/5). Drinks were cold. Packed full, looked like they could have used a couple more staff, but the owner was hustling and bustling. Would eat here again 100%

Robert Yates: Are you a Liverpool fan? Do you like good service even when the bar is packed? Want awesome drinks and atmosphere? This is your place. If you are coming to watch a Liverpool game make sure to get there early.

Meghan Webster: We tried the Queen Vic for Mother’s day and were surprised at how AMAZING it was. This little hole in the wall british pub was just spectacular. It had something for everybody, vegans and vegetarians. Also, the drinks were amazing as well. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. And the seating was nicely spaced out. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back again and try more of the dishes.

Melissa Antul: We always get brought here by family when visiting DC...and we wouldn't have it any other way. Always yummy! Excellent food and drink.

frostygriff77: Was in D.C. for a few days, and found this little gem after a Google search for best fish and chips. Did not disappoint, the fish and chips was outstanding! Sticky toffee pudding was great, too. Fallon, the bartender as well as our server, was so friendly and helpful. Can't wait to visit next time I'm back in the area. Extra bonus for being a LFC pub!

fire_fairy: I grew up watching the English soap opera Eastenders with my mom (she's a full-blooded Brit), so this pub really strikes a chord with me. While the physical structure obviously limits them from actually replicating the pub from the show with the u-shaped bar, the atmosphere is bang on perfect. My boyfriend brought me here for our Valentines date and it couldn't have been more spectacular. When we looked at the menu, I noticed it was still within their brunch times. My boyfriend ordered the fish and chips (a classic; you can never go wrong with this) and I ordered the sausage rolls (with actual HP sauce! Yum!!). I was briefly saddened to learn they were out of sausage, due to the Manchester game that had just been played earlier in the day. Our server confirmed this with the owner, but he said "Give us 20 minutes! We'll get some more!" I was astounded. I had been completely ready to order something else, but then I'm told that? How could I not give 5 stars just for them being so gracious and accommodating? To cap it all off, we got the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I grew up eating this with my granddad, who was one of my favorite people in the entire world. Getting to enjoy it again at the Queen Vic was like having my grandad with me again. I'm not ashamed to admit that I began crying (on my romantic date!) because of the joy I felt. Thank you so much to the owner and our server (I'm so mad I didn't catch her name) for turning what is usually an unremarkable day into something completely extraordinary for me!

Stanley Stasiewicz: Masks and proof of vaccination are required. It wasn't crowded but we ate at the bar. I had the stroganoff which was very good. I also had an Old Fashioned. Overall the food and drinks were good.
