Roof Terrace Restaurant: what do users think?
Ron Milkowski
Ron Milkowski: I have never been to the Kennedy Center and had no idea that there even was a restaurant. What a very nice dining experience. Santo our waiter was very knowledgeable with the food and drinks. It is a bit pricey but worth it. Even if you are not going to an event I highly recommend checking it out.
Anusha Chatterjee
Anusha Chatterjee: Wonderful bar service! The food was so good. Had the tuna carpaccio and the salmon. Both were absolutely perfect! Lovely seasonal Cocktails. Perfect stop before or after the show. The bar has the full menu, so no reservations were needed. Lovely intimate vibe.
Craig Herrick
Craig Herrick: We’ve been here a number of times over the years though this was the first visit in two years. The Terrace has upped their game. My lamb chops and wife’s fillet would go over well in any finer local venue. The service was prompt and professional and based around our show time. Terrace maintains most of its vintage (60’s) vibe which is what I like about it.
Myrna Linzy
Myrna Linzy: Very good. Waitress was very good in helping me with which meal. Picked my drinks. Awesome place.
Catina Carter
Catina Carter: The food and service was outstanding. Wonderful place to have a beautiful experience of class. The views were wonderful as well.
Mary Robinson
Mary Robinson: Wonderful dinner before a show. Cant beat the views! Professional service throughout the meal.
Veronica Coleman
Veronica Coleman: Wonderful evening at the Kennedy Center and dining at the Roof Terrace Restaurant. Great food. Great music.
Phil Cooke
Phil Cooke: Great setting at the Kennedy Center, ideal for pre show dinner. Service was excellent; overall, food was very good. Our party of four got fish, with the bass being the best, by far. Others, trout and salmon, were just okay. It is a little pricey, but the setting, service and convenience make it worth it.

Vue Rooftop: what do users think?
Elizabeth T.
Elizabeth T.: Awesome location for a rooftop - only issue is that the best views are by the standing bar which seems to be an odd placement considering the food is expensive and you would think that they would seat more people by the windows. Drinks are on the pricier side with beer starting at $11. We ordered the burrata and lobster mango to start - by far the highlight of the meal. For dinner I got the lamb burger and it was okay but I’ve had better.
Elliott Schellinger
Elliott Schellinger: The views of the Washington monument are absolutely unparalleled from the booth at the Vue Rooftop. This was my first time at the establishment and I must admit I am quite impressed. The staff and the management were extremely accommodating, even though our demands were somewhat obnoxious. They were willing to open up the private dining area just for the two of us, and let us experience the D.C. skyline at its absolute best. The food was quite delicious. The appetizers in particular were truly scrumptious; “calamari” and “Parmesan fries” are the absolute must, along with the “olives and bread” starter. The must have cocktail for me was the “power to peaches”, divinely smooth and summery fresh. All-in-all, it was a perfect bon-voyage evening before we headed back to NYC. Thanks to the staff and the management for wrapping up our Washington D.C. visit in a ribbon with a luxurious bow on top.
JR Franks
JR Franks: Definitely worth checking out for the views of the WH and Mall, and the rooftop itself is quite spacious with a good amount of seating. The drinks were (unsurprisingly) on the pricier side so I probably wouldn’t come back often. Didn’t try the food but the burgers looked excellent, I’d probably try one if/when I come back.
Pat S
Pat S: We had a table of 13 guest for a dinner party. My calamari was hard and overcooked my entree the seafood linguine was distasteful. Our entire table didn’t enjoy their entrees. Beautiful views of the White House and Mall, and the rooftop it’s spacious with a good amount of seating and upscale. Good vibes and ambience for drinking and dance only, dine somewhere else. The drinks were on the pricier side my cocktail was $22, overall so I probably won’t come back as often.
JD
JD: This is a great spot for the social fare and view. It was packed on a Tuesday evening. Food was okay. Service okay. Drinks are great. Service gratuity is included in your bill, so tip extra when warranted
Robert Chang
Robert Chang: If you want a great view of the White House, definitely check out this bar. Definitely worth spending the price for a drink just to check out the view. The drinks are definitely on the pricier side and my Old Fashion was a tad small but once again, the view was worth it.
PGAmos
PGAmos: Fantastic view. The White House is hidden because of the trees but I’m sure it’s in plain view during the winter. I attended an event and everything I ate was tasty. The drinks weren’t bad either! I’ll be adding this to my list for out-of-town folks to visit.
Susan FG
Susan FG: Food was great, as were service and views. One drink from the outdoor bar was not good, indoor bar drinks were definitely better. We still had to wait about 20 minutes for our table but that was not too bad
Christopher king
Christopher king: The view was pretty great. I ordered the lobster and rice because the bartender recommended it. The presentation was great but it tasted really dry. My friend got the crab cakes and those were delicious! Dont get the rice, it’s not worth $54. Probably wouldn’t visit again.

The Rooftop at The Ven at Embassy Row: what do users think?
farida popal
farida popal: I was there on Saturday the 25th. We wanted to go to the rooftop bar. As soon we were at main entrance, the door man greeted us and guide us. When we went to the bar the atmosphere was nice. The drinks were a bet pricey and bar food was great! I’ll defiantly go again.
chrisy edme
chrisy edme: The stay was wonderful! The staff at the front desk are amazing ! Specially Lyle at the front desk, he was just a sweetheart to us. We booked our stay prior to them implementing the daily amenity fee. He waived it off of our stay and informed us that he will be more than happy to still provide the perks ! We received some sent sachet of jasmine and lavender which were amazing :) In addition to that he provided us with late check out because our flight was later in the afternoon. He also gave us some great tips of how to get around since it was our first time in DC. Also my room was provided with daily housekeeping and my housekeeper was just a sweetheart too but forgot her name unfortunately. My only Con was the bathroom size, as it was super small and there was no ventilation.
Kimberly “ ” Watson
Kimberly “ ” Watson: Excellent! Love the space! The art exhibit in the hotel was wonderful!
Reuben Wauyo
Reuben Wauyo: This is a beautiful venue and would seem to be all great but terrible customer service. Called for a reservation and information on restaurant and was referred to main line. To which someone picked up after I waited on hold, heard me then hung up. This is the most disrespectful and frustrating thing I can think of when trying to get things set for events. Calling back no one picks up and I have now been calling main line for 30 minutes to be assisted and again no one to answers. You would have to be crazy to work with these guys on anything important for you will receive absolutely no clarification or answers on any questions you have. I was very surprised to even see positive reviews at all. I really hope it’s an isolated event, but if I can help anyone else not deal with my issue I’ll be glad to steer you away and onto another location. I will update with location and name after my reservation is set with our new venue. Also to be noted, not even the central main line can reach these guys and are unwilling to even try. I believe we’ve definitely dodged a bullet.
Walter Hunt
Walter Hunt: Friendly staff , great location, very accommodating

Ellipse Rooftop Bar: what do users think?
Morris Jones
Morris Jones: The good - This is a nice place to enjoy time with a friend...great views. Food offerings were on par for a roof top bar. The "beef" - The bar area is small...enough for hotel guests to enjoy and groups of two. The bar size and the bar service are not satisfactory for handling a group or a table with more than 3. Do not go expecting table service (none). You must go to the small bar to order everything...paying for a table or a round of drinks was a challenge. Paying for a $40 shot of whiskey served in plastic glassware (?)...I did enjoy my table guests, the view and the weather. I expected better service...
Donovan Craig
Donovan Craig: Nice rooftop with a bit of a view, the atmosphere was very relaxed, just wish they were open to the public more as we saw multiple days where they were closed for private events.
Rich Opalinski
Rich Opalinski: Weather was perfect while we stayed, both bartenders were attentive, great views
M planetmike
M planetmike: (Update 2022 June) Arrive early if you want a seat. Conveniently located to McPherson Square. There is a happy hour. However due to its relatively small footprint and its connection to the hotel it is often reserved and unavailable. Recommend calling ahead to verify it is open. It is a refreshing spot on summer days.
Rachel Cipkins
Rachel Cipkins: Perfect place to unwind after a day at the national mall
Adara Ney
Adara Ney: A perfect place for an after work drink to watch the sunset and soak up nice weather. Great for group events too! I hosted a team happy hour with 20-30 and had a great experience. Great food (and prices!) on the catering menu and Brittany did a fantastic job coordinating the event.
David Cuevas
David Cuevas: they never used real tequila on my tequila cocktai, I got a headache before I finished it.
Brenda-renee Vance
Brenda-renee Vance: I enjoyed myself. The bartender was amazing. My drinks was good beginning to end.
Mike Rucki
Mike Rucki: Overpriced drinks, very limited bar selection, and not enough bartenders on a cramped rooftop. A decent view earns an extra star, but I cannot recommend this spot.

Top of the Gate: what do users think?
Alvaro H. Torres
Alvaro H. Torres: Amazing view and I would highly recommend it. The sunset was amazing and the food was delicious. I had a memorable experience and enjoyed it spending it with my wife and first born. If you are in the DC area, this is a must stop for the Watergate scandal and for the rooftop bar.
Adam Galazka
Adam Galazka: Amazing views at night. Service was great. Drinks were great as well. Definitely a little pricey on drinks but probably expected in a hotel. It did close at 1115 on a Friday which seemed a little early for a Friday night. We will definitely come back.
Claus R B
Claus R B: The view of this place is just AMAZING! Perfect for special occasions, we had a wonderful lady helping us to choose the appetizers and she was right...the shrimp is great and if you are hungry order the pizza. Drinks are expensive but worth it.
Zeeshan E
Zeeshan E: Booked a table for 3 a few months in advance to make sure we get a good view as we expected experience. The issues are simple but shocking. Started a boys weekend off by visiting this embarrassing place. 1) We were seated somewhere around the side towards the back on old wicker seating with no cushions. Be warned not all seating is good. The chairs are low and you have to stand to get a view. Some towards the front bar area seem nicer. 2) We waited 50 minutes for one round of simple drinks. @$20-$25 each for vodka and ginger beer or rum and coke. Our reservation was at 5PM hardly a crowd. 3) Waited another 40 minutes for food. Basic pizza and fries another $1xx. Total was over $200 and auto gratuity lol what a joke. We will NEVER ever come back. Terrible service, grossly understaffed and over priced. We will personally go out of my way to make sure everyone knows NOT to waste a second in this place.
Denise
Denise: I felt the previous views were unwarranted. This one of the best rooftop bars in DC. The view is amazing, service was professional, and drinks were on par. The prices are about right with other high class rooftops. I will be coming back here again soon.
Matt Ryder
Matt Ryder: Had the audacity to cancel a reservation we made weeks in advance the day of “due to a private event”. Note to management: if you’re going to be so bold as to tell all reservations they will be charged $50/pp cancellation fee for any reservations cancelled within 24 hours - you should do the same should the tables turn. Will you be paying me $100 now due to your lack of proper scheduling and communication to your guests?? 🤦🏻‍♂️
Maxwell D.
Maxwell D.: Frankly, really disappointing. There is so much potential here to be a destination bar and they absolutely squander it! The cocktails are $18, served in thin plastic cups, and of the same quality that you’d get at a cheap late night college bar. The food, which is hilariously overpriced, is also average at best. $29 for two pitiful skewers with overcooked steak on them and a $26 7 Eleven pizza with some olives and banana peppers thrown on it. The service was below average as well, with servers disappearing for long periods of time, employees literally throwing drinks off the roof, and an otherwise pleasant hostess that waved us through and advised us to sit anywhere despite having a reservation. The ONLY redeeming quality of this bar is the stunning views of Georgetown, Arlington, the Kennedy Center, and the low flying aircraft on approach to DCA. DO NOT come here expecting quality concessions and cocktails, or even decent service.
sdgainesdc
sdgainesdc: Limited menu, pricey, staff seemed pretty helpful. Not a place I would go too often but it was a special occasion.
Will Normand
Will Normand: The rooftop was practically EMPTY, and it was just 2 of us and we wanted to get a drink at the bar. They insisted we "check in" at the host stand prior to going to the bar, which insanely took around 8 minutes per group. Literally took 15 minutes of standing in line at the host stand with barely anyone in front of us to be able to get a drink at the bar. The host had zero sense of urgency, handled everything as slowly as possible. Very disappointing experience. Once we got to the front, they said we needed a reservation just to have a drink at the bar. Horrible, will never be back

C F
C F: This venue is absolutely stunning. It’s been several months after our wedding and we consistently still have guests telling us how beautiful our ceremony venue was. It has a breathtaking view of the Capitol and is extremely well maintained. We fit our 160 wedding guests under the provided tents for our ceremony with room to spare. Suzanne and the entire staff were a delight to work with and they really saved the day by accommodating us by scheduling a tour and our event very quickly after having our original venue cancel only 5-weeks before the big day.

The Capitol View at 400: what do users think?
Remembered Events
Remembered Events: We just had a fabulous wedding at this venue. The view is beautiful. They have a parking garage underneath the building and you do have to go through the lobby of the new stations to get to the reception spot but well worth it. We had around 100 people which fit the space perfectly. Delmy the venue coordinator is so wonderful to work with. The space offers multiple options for your cocktail hour set up. The restrooms are far from the space just something to be aware of. I would suggest making signs it is downstairs or have a designated person showing guests where to go (this was something our planning team did).
Colby Shomaker
Colby Shomaker: This place has great views of union station and the capital. Not the best location and set up to host an event but overall it’s ok.
ALANA VAUGHN
ALANA VAUGHN: What an amazing venue to have any event. It felt like you were on the deck of a cruise ship with the beautiful black drop of the Capitol in the background. It was open air... it was beautiful but when it started to drizzle there was a beautiful canopy that still allowed you to enjoy the beautiful view.
Travis Hyams
Travis Hyams: We had our wedding of about 100 guests at Capitol View. Our experience was amazing, and we would recommend the venue to anybody that is planning their next event. The view speaks for itself. So, if you are on the fence, just go see the place. Delmy the venue coordinator is a true champion. She is experienced, organized, well-connected, and when the anxiety of planning an event becomes too stressful, she draws on all of these to keep you calm and make sure things go as planned. The day of went off without a hitch and our guests continue to rave about our event! Delmy handled all the décor and the venue looked truly stunning. We hope others get to experience how truly magical Capitol View is!
Kiedra E.
Kiedra E.: Unfortunately this rating comes from an inability to receive a date to even view the venue. We absolutely adored the space from what we saw online. I reached out to the venue the beginning of January and received little correspondence and after confirming a date finally but, not a time , I waited over a month for a time confirmation email that was promised and never came. This was extremely disappointing. I’m not sure why we weren’t valued or given the usual business etiquette or decency many others have in the past from the reviews I read but, I hope that this experience is isolated and not common practice of this venue.
andrew strycker
andrew strycker: I was here for a conference dinner on the rooftop. The food was lackluster and ran out multiple times. the event was by reservation only so it was not as if Capitol View had no idea on how many patrons to expect. The two bars that were on the rooftop were cash only and hard to navigate towards. The bathrooms were also located a fair distance away. After a bit of socializing (like an hour), many of my peers decided to go to another venue.
Michael Gerardi
Michael Gerardi: Great venue for people who are political advocates and/or patriots
Megan Muñoz
Megan Muñoz: Delmy was very nice but myself and other guests could over see and hear her being unfriendly to the staff and taking down about the wedding party. Otherwise fantastic venue and a wonderful time.

12 Stories: what do users think?
Megan Martinez
Megan Martinez: This place is perfect for celebration cocktails and happy hour. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and I took my sister here for her birthday. Both times the view was spectacular, it wasn’t too crowded, and the service is just amazing. Each time the waiter brought a couple celebration shots and it made the occasion even more special! Deon was so friendly and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back!
Jason Saville
Jason Saville: My company rented out the place for a night and we all had a blast. Very beautiful place, lots of room, great drinks and fast service. The view off the roof top is really nice. I would love to go back.
Black Star Dust
Black Star Dust: As you enter it looks like a hallway to no where but once you take the elevator ALL the way up, you’ll definitely feel like you’ve arrived. The rooftop vibes are on point. Great outdoor patio seating with panoramic views of the Potomac and Potomac golf course/Haines Point. I had the delicious salmon and kale salad and an old fashion. Both were delicious. The music and vibes are top tier. Great for a date night or night on the town with friends.
Donna Thompson
Donna Thompson: Came here got a quick pre-show meal. The menu was very limited but it made due. The grilled shrimp and the lamb steam buns were top notch. Also service was great. The place was empty but they made sure to make us feel welcomed.
Nia Bright
Nia Bright: Very limited menu option. Beautiful restaurant + vibe but I wasn’t very satisfied with the Turkey club sandwich. Not sure what kind of sauce the put on because the menu don’t state it. The bread on the sandwich tasted terrible so I didn’t eat it. The po boy is good when they don’t toast the bread too long. Crab tacos 4/5 tasted good but I wish it had more than just cheese and crab. The crab dip was very tasteful. They should up the chips portion. So anyway the experience was good. I just wasn’t satisfied. Very good service for everyone. Also love that it’s a 21+ location. Thank you for bringing out our friend cake with candles
Trena Briscoe
Trena Briscoe: I recently celebrated my birthday with some close friends at 12 Stories at the Wharf. Everything from planning the event to having the party was easy and enjoyable. I reserved the Cove area of the club for my event, and it was perfect: The staff was attentive. The food was delicious! The music and the atmosphere were chic and elegant. I want to thank Judy Ava, the event planner, especially - she made me feel welcomed and handled everything with excellent care. I would be thrilled to host another event here.
Tina Beale
Tina Beale: I was disappointed that we had a $75 minimum per person for bar food and was required to dress up for a lounge setting. The crab dip had mostly cheese and the drinks were water down. The Po Boy, chicken tenders and truffle fries were good. The View was spectacular but not sure it was worth the $500 dollars price tag for 90 minutes. That’s right you get only 90 minutes to enjoy the view. But at least I can say I tried it.
Candace L
Candace L: Beautiful outdoor seating. It was cold outside but the heaters outside made the weather bearable. Our server was great, quick, and friendly. I tasted the chicken and burger. Get the chicken! It was delicious. My friend enjoyed the crab dip. Drinks were made quickly and tasted great. We made reservations and our table was ready when we arrived. Parking is a beast so arrive early. They stick to their 90 minute times on reservations.

CUT Above: what do users think?
Laetitia Monnier
Laetitia Monnier: Beautiful view of the Potomac river. The rooftop is really nice. We went at night and we could see the Potomac river and the skyscrapers in Virginia. We took desserts and it was so good ! We had the chocolate soufflé from the famous restaurant just below and it was one of the best cake that I had !! The basque cheesecake was good also but the chocolat soufflé was definitely the star of the show for me.
Response: Dear Laetitia: Thank you so much for you kind review of CUT Above. I am delighted that you were able to enjoy two of our signature desserts as you took in the view from above the hotel We look forward to having you back with us. Sincerley, CUT DC and Rosewood Washington D.C.
Manda B
Manda B: Beautiful rooftop. Pretty small, chill spot so a good place to have a stop-by on a date night.. The cocktails were pretty good!
Response: Dear Manda B: Thank you for this delightful review! I hope we can welcome you back for more date nights! See you soon, CUT DC and Rosewood Washington, D.C.
Cc C
Cc C: Terrible service, terrible experience. We sat for an hour and we’re never served water. They didn’t bring us any menus for 90 minutes. The drinks are dramatically over priced for rail whiskey and tequila - at least $20 a cocktail. To add insult to injury, it took 15 minutes before the bartender even acknowledged me but served the woman who sat down after me. The ambiance inside is incredibly dark and they refuse to turn on the lights even at our parties request - we paid for an entire section in the restaurant. Ridiculous! The absolute WORST part was that the table we were supposed to sit at was left dirty for 45 minutes and they let us stand around, refusing to clean and adjoin the tables for our party. We ended up doing it ourselves! I would not recommend this place to any of my friends. I hate being that guy, I really do, but I honestly feel we were being discriminated against for our race! I wanted us to go to Flavio instead so bad!
Response: Dear Cc C Thank you for your note and comments. I am wondering if you can please reach out to me directly with more specifics about your experience so that we may address these with your personally. I can be reached by calling the hotel at 202 617 2400. This will then allow us to offer a more detailed public response to the above review. Many thanks, Timothy Edgecombe Director of Sales, Rosewood Washington, D.C.
Rene Hugentobler
Rene Hugentobler: Limited expensive selection. I expected more from a 5 star hotel and especially from Puck. Food, drinks and ambiance. Additionally maybe a minimal dress code would be beneficial. The Graham seems to be the better choice.
Response: Dear Rene Hugentobler: Thank you for the feedback. As you can appreciate our rooftop lounge, which is adjacent to our rooftop pool, is used by both hotel guests and those from outside - so there will always be a variety of casual attire in this space. Given our kitchen set-up at CUT Above our Temaki Sushi program best allows us to provide an experience unique to the offering of CUT Lounge (on the main floor - which also has outdoor space). We have ensured that given our unique program and setting, our pricing is very competitive with others providing similar experiences. I hope we have a chance to welcome you to one of the other venues we offer in the near future. Sincerely, CUT D.C. and Rosewood Washington, D.C.
Nisan A.
Nisan A.: Went there for a drink with a friend and loved the Cut Above. Artisan cocktails and a good menu. Took great pictures for the full moon while there that night. The only thing is that it’s just a bit overpriced.
Response: Hello Nisan: Thank you so much for your review and the great picture! I hope we have the chance to welcome you back. Rosewood Washington, D.C. and CUT D.C.
Ronjon Ray
Ronjon Ray: Beautiful venue, decent drinks. The tiny taco "sushi" appetizers were extremely overpriced. Would go back for drinks only.
Response: Dear Ronjon Ray: Thank you for your recent visit to CUT Above and for the rating. We appreciate the feedback and will review our menus accordingly. Hopefully we can welcome you back in the near future. Sincerely, CUT D.C. and Rosewood Washington, D.C.
Scott Heldman
Scott Heldman: Fantastic view!Drinks were great.Service just a little slow.
Response: Dear Mr. Heldman Thank you for you kind review and your note on your service experience. We have made note of this comment and hope to welcome you back in the near future! Sincerely, CUT D.C. and Rosewood Washington, D.C.
Harry Fang
Harry Fang: Nice rooftop bar and lounge with good food and drinks. A pool is accessible for hotel guests.

La Vie: what do users think?
Olivia M. Wilson
Olivia M. Wilson: I know there’s mixed reviews about this place but I had a great experience. Our waiter took very good care of us and overall enhanced the dining experience. - The food was a 10/10 - The atmosphere and ambiance was amazing. - The view of the water gave it a very elegant vibe towards fine dining. Would definitely recommend for a date night or special occasion
Asim Soofi
Asim Soofi: Every single dish we ate was absolutely delicious. I would trust the executive chef at La Vie with any meal. There is something completely unique, yet so familiar with the variety of ingredients in each dish that transports you back to reminisce the first time you experienced it, wrapping you in a maternal blanket of bygone home cooked holiday meals. It has the luxury of comfort food with an eclectic mix transported from Mediterranean, Latin America, French, and Italian flair. Blends of sweet and spice came together in each rich bite. Vegetables and meats were perfectly prepared and plated. Fast on the day you go...you will enjoy every bite and leave happy.
Leemu Kufuor
Leemu Kufuor: Cute and Instagramable! Make sure you dress up! I enjoyed the food and drinks at La Vie but the customer service left more to be desired. The staff at the front when overwhelmed are not friendly or welcoming and they seem to need more attendants to serve the volume of guests that arrive around dinner. I would go back though, the food is good and the drinks are strong.
yelena antonela
yelena antonela: Beautiful place, stuff Is very friendly Igloos is very creative warm and cozy! Food was delicious 😋 I order La Vie Caesar salad , Atlantic salmon and cauliflower couscous, Brussels sprouts it’s was so delicious you can feel so much love that food have 👌🏼🙏🏻 Dessert is yummy my favorite was a custard light and crispy. whole experience was Amazing !!
Kev- keepingitreal
Kev- keepingitreal: We love the hospitality at La Vie. Our hoist was very generous and attentive, our food was hot, tasty and flavorful. We ordered shrimp, Lamb Chops, Truffle Mac & Cheese, Roasted Chicken with Mashed Potatoes. Underground parking garage is available for a fee.
Tasha Fuller
Tasha Fuller: Overrated. When you pay more you expect more. The ambiance was amazing but the food wasn’t on the same level. The lobster was overcooked and the Risotto lacked flavor, no matter how much salt and pepper I added. The best part of my meal was the French fries and Brussel Sprouts.
Amanda (WhatsDaHype)
Amanda (WhatsDaHype): Beautiful restaurant! The view of the wharf is very pretty on a sunny day. Friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant is pricey but the food and drinks weren’t over the top amazing. I truly appreciated our waiter making sure we enjoyed our meals but the items we got were just good. The presentation of the drinks were nice. We didn’t like the salmon and the waiter exchanged that meal for the lobster ravioli. It was tasty. We also tried the roasted chicken. The combination of all the ingredients was flavorful and hearty. The fried cauliflower was lightly fried but lacked flavor.
Anakaren Cruz
Anakaren Cruz: The service is really great and the aesthetic is beyond expectations. The restaurant is on the higher end and pricier side. We spent around $450 for 3 people. I highly recommend the lamb chops and the cotton candy baked Alaska for dessert.
Boss Marius
Boss Marius: Mixed feelings about this place, it’s good but I do not think the price is justified. The ambiance is lovely, it’s by the water and the brunch is good, but…You reserve your time slot in advance and still have to wait to be seated. The cost of the brunch if you decide to go for bottomless food and mimosas for two people comes up to $275.

Eric Stander
Eric Stander: Great bar. Cozy and welcoming. Good food. Affordable. Friendly staff. Inside and outdoor seating. Unfortunately the rooftop bar is closed
Kelly Gmazel
Kelly Gmazel: Very attentive service in an intimate seeing. Very cool exposed brick. Good drinks. Small space, so not perfect for large groups.
Donna Carroll
Donna Carroll: Great pizza. Good vibe. Laid back atmosphere fireplace is a nice touch. Good breakfast.
Chase Williams
Chase Williams: We visited this place over the weekend and had a poor experience. They have an elevator but do not use it! In fact, there is a sign on the upper level to not use the elevator. But, no sign on the ground floor. The staff at the bottom floor made no mention of the faulty elevator to our group, even after telling us to use it and watching us get on the elevator. We got on the elevator and it slowly went up, then 5 floors up it stopped and the door would not open. We were trapped for at least 5 minutes before the elevator slowly descended a few floors and the door opened. We used the emergency call button to contact the staff but they placed us on hold and hung up on us once. Thankfully we were safe and got out of the elevator. When confronted about this as we were leaving, the staff member could not have been more rude. Instead of apologizing about the incident, he proceeded to blame us for using the elevator (after he told us to). I’d recommend you take your business elsewhere, and whatever you do, stay off the elevator.
Aaron Wright
Aaron Wright: Luis made my whole day. We were new in DC and thought we’d do some bar hopping to see what’s around, and this is the only place worth being, hands down. Especially with Luis behind the bar. The vibes were 💯 the drinks were priced realistically, and my husband and I had an excellent time (they are definitely LGBTQ friendly, as advertised).
Tim
Tim: Fantastic bar situated in a cozy hotel. I strolled up to the bar and asked for a glass of bourbon, and was met with a smile and glass with two cubes. Definitely recommend - the rooftop bar is perfect during the summer months.
Erik Durant
Erik Durant: I had a great time at the Hive Bar (Basement). The spot is clean and the service was great. My bartender Ms. Mo was cool had me laughing the whole time and her drinks were just right
J. D.
J. D.: really enjoyed the pizza and drinks! Excellent food and service

Rosewood Washington, D.C.: what do users think?
C. Pine
C. Pine: Best hotel in Georgetown. I love the charm of this hotel right in the heart of everything. The friendliest staff and impeccable service and luxurious accommodations while steps away from shopping and more dining options. The library/reception area is a cozy and elegant pace for a nightcap or to lounge. The rooftop offers a fantastic view of the cityscape and is a great for private functions or if you need a peaceful place to hang out.
Response: Dear C. Pine: Thank you very much for this delightful review! We look forward to having you back with us in the near future! Sincerely, Rosewood Washington, D.C.
Mandy Jacqueline
Mandy Jacqueline: The Lobby Bar in the Rosewood was amazing. Great service and wonderful drinks if you’re looking for high-class
Response: Dear Mandy: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you back with us. Sincerley, CUT DC and Rosewood Washington, D.C.
Shana Acquisto (Luxury Realtor)
Shana Acquisto (Luxury Realtor): Stopped in for a drink on the rooftop. Beautiful atmosphere. Drinks were pricey and honestly a bit too much sugar for our liking but some may prefer that. Very friendly staff once we got up to the rooftop and great service.
Response: Dear Shana Acquisto: Thank you for your kind review of CUT Above and for your honest feedback. We have shared this with the team. We look forward to having you back with us soon. Sincerely Rosewood Washington, D.C.
Tania Ferguson
Tania Ferguson: The Rosewood DC is remarkably disappointing. More expensive than comparable rooms at the Ritz or Four Seasons, there are essentially no luxury amenities. The pool is the size of two hot tubs. Sadly, Cut the restaurant had a kitchen fire and therefore there is no way to get anything to eat at the hotel. I had to go grocery shopping. They did not offer any discount for this inconvenience. The did make the minibar complementary except for liquor….and there is essentially nothing to eat in the minibar. The room is incredibly small and the bathroom hard to manage in its size. The “partial canal view” is just a brick wall. One must stand to look out the window if water is to be seen-and only then with great focus. More accurately this is a brick wall view. There is no spa, the fitness facility is smaller than a bathroom with no modern equipment in it except a single peleton bike with bad pedals. The fitness facility is a really big disappointment-I’ve had to find a gym to go work out at. So I’ve had to leave the premises for food, workout, spa services….It’s a travesty to the Rosewood brand. They should close the hotel and renovate, modernize-or drop the prices to reflect the current facade.
Response: Dear Ms. Ferguson: Thank you for posting your thoughts about your recent stay with us. I am very sorry that it did not meet your expectations. We, too, are very sad that the incident in the kitchen has resulted in us not being able to occupy that space and provide the In-Room Dining you were hoping for - we hope to have this matter rectified shortly. I do hope that you enjoyed the complimentary breakfast we had set up in the lounge for all our guests. I also hope that the fresh fruit bowls that we delivered to you helped the situation. The room you occupied (about 420 square feet) does have unobstructed views of the canal, I believe the brick wall to which you are referring is the exterior wall of the building on the opposite side of the canal. As you know, there is no reference to a spa on our site but we do offer in-room massage services - one of which was offered to you with our compliments. We shall review the verbiage regarding the fitness center but the listing of equipment on the page is accurate. Overall, I am sorry that we didn't meet your expectations and hope that the reduction of your room rate that was offered helped to ease this a bit. I hope we have the chance to welcome you back in the near future and be able to deliver the experience you expect. Sincerely, Timothy Edgecombe Director of Sales
Mohsen
Mohsen: Enjoyed one week of stay at this hotel. Everything was perfect and felt personal. Fantastic staff.
Response: Dear Mohsen: Thank you so much for your kind comments - it was fantastic having both you and your fellow travellers with us. I sincerely hope we can welcome you back in the very near future! Sincerely, Rosewood Washington, D.C.
Kelly Smith
Kelly Smith: Great hotel. Near everything in Georgetown. Service is amazing. Nicest place in the area.
Response: Dear Ms. Smith: Thank you very much for your lovely review of Rosewood Washington, D.C. We sincerely hope we have the chance to welcome you back in the very near future. Sincerely, Timothy Edgecombe Director of Sales
Andrew Carmichael
Andrew Carmichael: Amazing hotel experience in a wonderful part of DC. It’s a smaller hotel that does a stellar job of balancing the finesse of a larger hotel with the intimacy of a boutique one. The team remembers everyone’s name and does to whatever they can to make your stay a memorable one.
Response: Dear Mr. Carmichael: Thank you very much for this wonderful review. We are delighted that you enjoyed the intimate experience that makes "The Gem of Georgetown" such a favourite among its guests. We hope to welcome you back in the near future. Sincerely, Rosewood Washington, D.C.
Lisa Morin
Lisa Morin: This lovely, small hotel was well located in Georgetown. The room was nice, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The service from all staff was exceptional. They attended to every detail to make our stay a great one!
Response: Dear Ms. Morin: Thank you for your kind review of our hotel, much appreciated! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again very soon. Please let us know if we can be of any assistance in the meantime. Sincerely, Gabor L. Vida Managing Director Rosewood Washington, D.C.

Addison Muska: Spacious room with good lighting. Pleasant stay with friendly staff and quality amenities. Location is close to all major sights and places. Would stay again
Response: Dear Addison, Thank you for your kind review of our hotel, much appreciated! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again very soon. Please let us know if we can be of any assistance in the meantime. Sincerely, Gabor L. Vida Managing Director Rosewood Washington, D.C.

Sequoia DC: what do users think?
Zuleirys Santana Rodriguez
Zuleirys Santana Rodriguez: Amazing customer service! The outdoor dining is just soo extremely gorgeous, spacious and clean in every way. You have a lovely view of the water, the Sweden Embassy, and just the river! The food was just next level, specially the octopus that was cooked to perfection and I will certainly have it again when I come back to bring my boyfriend.
IamJoedie S
IamJoedie S: This was my first time and the experience was awesome. We came for a birthday dinner. A party of 12 arriving at 5 PM on a Sunday. We had two servers they were on top of everything. There was never a moment a glass was empty. Food service was quick hot and absolutely delicious. I had the steak was absolutely surprise when the potato came out with macaroni and cheese…must order if, no when you come. If you’re looking for a sexy restaurant to have a brunch, lunch and or dinner this is definitely the spot it overlooks the water great date spot. I will definitely come back again. Next time for the brunch. I hear that it is phenomenal. Come. Eat. Drink. Enjoy!
jen w
jen w: I gave this 3 stars because of a couple reasons first we had a reservation Saturday at 1:30 pm for their tapas brunch. They were super slow getting our food to us at the beginning. We ordered two rounds of food before the waitress came back and told us it was last call. We were barely there an hour. There is a 2 hour limit, I feel that if they have reservations till a certain hour they should allow the two hour minimum for people. It’s 64.95 per person they aren’t doing a favor for anyone. Next we chose to sit inside and it was obnoxiously loud. There was a group of people that were talking and screaming to each other, while I’m glad they were having a good time management should have asked them to simmer down because all the rest of us could to was watch them because u couldn’t talk for the noise. Having said all that, the food was very good. We opted for Bellinis and Mimosas. They were very good. The waiters walked around with carafes of Champagne and refilled you. My glass never got empty. I would go back here but make an earlier reservation and in cooler weather where I could it on the patio so I don’t have to deal with the noise.
John Varkey
John Varkey: We came for an anniversary dinner. The hostesses were a bit surly and disinterested but our waiter was great. The views are fabulous. My wife had the crab cakes and I had the lobster scampi. They were both fabulous but according to my wife the lobster had the edge. We went for a nice stroll along the water and around Georgetown after dinner. A very nice evening was had.
Kat B
Kat B: Loved this place so much. My partner and I came here for our anniversary, not only was the view beautiful but the energy/service of the staff was amazing . The food was spectacular, definitely get the burrata if they have it ! We were pretty full but still made room for dessert and an espresso which was also delicious . Definitely recommend for a date night/ celebration . Prices were in line with the portions/ambiance .
Crystal Sings
Crystal Sings: Beautiful simply Beautiful 💜My daughter and I brought my mom to last Saturday’s brunch for her 80th birthday and we really enjoyed the service, food, and ambiance of the restaurant. George, our waiter was awesome and made our experience so memorable! Thank you George!
elizabeth rose
elizabeth rose: Visiting from florida and this restaurant was highly recommended by locals and im delighted i took their advice! The atmosphere was great, very inviting and scenic, indoor and outdoor seating offered with a nice view of the river. food was really good and exceeded expectations and the server Dominique went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our experience :)

Crimson DC: what do users think?
Tahoma Lewis
Tahoma Lewis: Love the casual atmosphere! Our server was polite and attentive. The food was good. The pickled deviled eggs were esthetically pleasing and delicious. I had never had them before, and was not disappointed.
Arielle H
Arielle H: I have only had experience on the rooftop. We actually stumbled upon it one day. We walked in looking to just sit at the bar and one of the employees said why don’t you check out the rooftop and we said heck yeah! The views are great, the service is fairly fast, and the drinks were even better. - Will definitely be returning in the midst of summer.
Jenna DeFosse
Jenna DeFosse: Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience here. The service was extremely slow. Had to wait one hour for food! I have never had such a poor experience at a restaurant, this was very unfortunate. We just sat waiting and waiting for food…It was incredibly hard to flag someone down so after waiting one hour went up to someone and asked how much longer for the food. We deduced that the order was never put in originally because the food then arrived 20 mins later. Other patrons seemed to be having similar experiences. Food not coming, other customers left because food was taking so long. They seemed short staffed but the service was not good. It was expensive for these sub-par burgers. I’ve heard the rooftop bar is nice, so I’ll hold out for that.
S. K. Hill
S. K. Hill: Finally, I was able to visit Crimson and I loved it. From the awe-inspiring rooftop view of downtown DC to the very cool Whiskey Bar on the lower level, Crimson hit the ball out of the park. I loved their old-bay wings, kettle chips and ciders (apple and pineapple). It is in a great location in Chinatown. I will definitely come back here again and again. Easily FIVE STARS.
BA R
BA R: Chinatown in D.C. Lucky for us the only place opened after 9 P.M on a Tuesday night. Great ambience. Good food. And they have a Whiskey Bar downstairs w/ live music. 10/10 we’ll be back.
Matthew Copper
Matthew Copper: When other dining establishments in the neighborhood had at least an hour wait, we stumbled upon Crimson. The seated us quickly and the service and food was wonderful! Will definitely be returning!!
Jack Kelly
Jack Kelly: A very busy venue with an exceptionally odd policy of confiscating water bottles of patrons in case they contained alcohol. I have been to countless bars, clubs, restaurants, taprooms and so on and have never ever encountered such a bizarre policy. We were a small group (4 adults) joining a small group (4-5 adults again) plus an infant which made the confiscation even more bizarre. The elevators are more protected than Fort Knox. The top floor was closed for a private event, but the host accidentally pressed the top floor button. She asked us to step out of the elevator (reminder, with infant so it was more of a nuisance than just adults) so the elevator could run up to the exclusive top floor party empty (because we weren’t even allowed near it let alone ride the elevator directly up and directly down). When it returned the host had to swipe her card and press the correct button to send it down to the basement. Again, countless bars, restaurants, venues and heck even corporate offices and have never experience something like that. Two truly bizarre incidents that soured an otherwise pleasant venue which leaves me with no desire to return and no reason to recommend to others. The food is good but the service messy and slow.
Lavada Walker
Lavada Walker: Well well well, how I just stumbled upon Brunch on The View. I was very undecided between Shrimp and Grits or the Brioche French Toast. I decided to go with the Shrimp and Grits, Wow!!!! It was sooooo darn good. If you want some good eats and drinks with a beautiful view hit up Crimson Saturday and Sunday 12pm-3pm
Dhruv Jaiswal
Dhruv Jaiswal: Great whiskey bar in the heart of DC ! A must try if you love whiskeys, they have all kinds of collections from all sorts for regions in the country and world ! The food is great as well ! Do try out the place and the rooftop in the great weather

The St. Regis Washington, D.C.: what do users think?
Lisa
Lisa: You will hear the food and beverage director before you see him. During our trip, he raised his voice multiple times quite angrily - it was quite concerning to hear him speak to guest service staff in such a way and that he was comfortable enough to do it in front of guests, too. Otherwise, my husband and I had an absolutely lovely stay. Our room was amazing and there were lots of friendly faces. I also especially enjoyed the pillows, and I wish I had thought to ask what type they were as they were super comfy.
Squirrely
Squirrely: Five stars all around. The rooms are elegant, updated, clean, and comfortable. Each staff member I dealt with went above and beyond to help. I was especially pleased with the front desk employee who grabbed me a cup of coffee in the middle of the night when I had to catch an early flight. The location is excellent and there are plenty of restaurants and attractions within walking distance.
Liem Huynh
Liem Huynh: We stayed for one night in the Metropolitan Suite in June 2022. The room desperately needs renovation and service was nonexistence. Disappointing experience overall. No prearrival email, no response when I emailed the butler service for restaurant reservation, zero communication from the butler during the entire stay. Unfriendly lobby staff, no greeting, had to open the door on my own at times. The Metropolitan Suite was old and in need of a renovation. Dirty pillow cases, worn out carpets, water from faucet smelled a little punky and we even found pieces of shattered glass on the floor. Only positive experience was the check-in, after that everything went down hill. Recommend trying something else while you’re in DC. Much better experience at the Ritz Carltons if you’re a Marriott fan.
Joe J.
Joe J.: Amazing tea experience in DC, probably the best in terms of service, flavor, presentation and selection of teas. The cherry blossom touch is a nice and pleasant surprise. Although it is on the pricey end, definitely recommend!
Ayesha SH
Ayesha SH: I attended the Whimsy event on April 1. Pros and cons below: Pros: Wine was good. We ordered a Napa cab so it was costly. Ambiance was decent. The best part was their waiters who were super friendly and hospitable. Cons: I was told parking would be validated prior to attending the event. On the day of they refused. We spent upwards of $600 and they wouldn’t validate the parking. Food was ok. I didn’t feel that great later at night. The princess thing was childish, hilarious, and unnecessary. Adults attend these kinds of events not kids. Overall not worth the money they charged us.

Idaho Terrace Apartments: what do users think?
Zara M
Zara M: I moved here last year from NY and have had nothing but good experiences! The management is really kind and good about communication. Maintenance requests are always completed timely. The location is perfect; close to cute coffee shops and restaurants as well as grocery stores, and only a short walk to the beautiful National Cathedral. The units are older and not fancy or anything, but clean and functional. I don’t regret moving here!
Response: Zara, we're so glad to hear about your experience calling Idaho Terrace home. Thank you for the great rating!
Nathalie
Nathalie: This apartment is such a wonderful place to live! I’m in my mid 20’s and have lived here for 5 years and I couldn’t be happier. The staff is so responsive and helpful. If you have any questions or need any help with anything, they are always at your service. Especially the maintenance team. Overall, just a wonderful staff and a comforting place to live. You won’t regret it!
Response: Nathalie, thank you for leaving Idaho Terrace this amazing review. It's so great to hear that you've been loving being a part of the community for five years!
Stephanie Best
Stephanie Best: I lived here for over 2 years and was truly happy to call Idaho Terrace my home. The team in the management office were always friendly and very helpful. The maintenance supervisor, James, always went out of his way to help the residents with whatever they needed. The entire team was always professional and did a wonderful job at communicating any information to the community. The building was safe, clean, and it is in the most perfect NW DC location. I highly recommend making Idaho Terrace your new home!
Response: Thank you for your kind review, Stephanie! We are so glad that you are enjoying your time at Idaho Terrace.
Abebe Mengistu
Abebe Mengistu: Great management, Great Staff, Great Service. The Bernstein management COVID-19 Emergency Fund Has helped many in need like myself at this unprecedented difficult times. The Manager Ms. Olivia Fitzgibbon is attentive and has great communication skills. The property management Amy has extraordinary personality in reaching out to tenants.
Response: Abebe, thank you for taking the time to shout out our team and leave Idaho Terrace this great review! We couldn't be happier to hear that you've been loving being a part of our community.
Scip Barnhart
Scip Barnhart: The building is very clean, and the lobby especially is very welcoming to visitors and residents. The staff is very quick to respond to requests and support. Life near major universities can be trying when students have to meld with working class people. But the staff do there best to keep noise and commotion in check. The laundry room is clean, the gym is well stocked and clean. The trash shoots are kept as well as can be expected. I am very glad to live here.
Response: Scip - Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are happy to hear you are enjoying your experience at Idaho Terrace. Thanks again!
Anastasiya Gulak
Anastasiya Gulak: I came from another state last year and was warmly accommodated by the Idaho Terrace management staff. It is very important when you reach out and receive prompt feedback or help especially when you are coming for afar. That personal support and care was necessary at the time. The facility is maintained well (despite its age), and the management finds creative ways to engage and help its residents.
Response: Anastasiya - Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and share your experience with our team. We are so happy to read that you have enjoyed your experience at Idaho Terrace. Thanks again.
