Professional Bartending School: what do users think?

Budda: The class was phenomenal!!!! You get behind the bar immediately learning where things are and how to pour effectively. The Teachers and Staff are extremely friendly and and eager to help. The curriculum is a lot to take in but with the techniques given to remember recipes, the unlimited patience and re-assurance of the instructors, I was in the best possible place to learn the art of Mixology. Thanks for the life long skill, as well as, the added cool points PBS!!!!

Job Corps: Sometimes you see great deals. I happened to miss one and asked why they do not allow more time. Rather than providing me with a simple response. Patrick wanted to provide me with a condescenidng one. This left a bad taste concering the school. Like everything in the DMV if one person goes others will follow and then sing its praises. I called a few bars while contemplating and they said they throw applications away if they just went to a school. Patricks response was along the lines of you have been are emailing list this long and have yet to take the deal so really it is not the time we are giving but your inability to pay. They tote this payment plan but 300 is needed to hold the rate so it is not convient. You can call the phone and if busy will get rushed. Simply put during these uncertain times make an effort to connect with your base everyone is not foolishly throwing 700 away.

Hugh Apple: Passed my speed test! Professional Bartending School provided excellent hands on training and plenty of practice time. The staff and instructors at PBS were amazing and they really care about students honing their skills. While you don't often see many 40 or 50 year-olds (I'm 48) working at the "hottest nightclubs" downtown, you also don't see many 20 to 30 year-old people working in the super nice, fancy upscale hotel bars and lounges either, so it is really perfect for people looking for a second career or just a way to make more money. Highly recommended and great experience!

Sanai Michelle: I attended and graduated from this school twice already. I first took the course in 2010 and enjoyed every minute of it. The instructors were knowledgeable, the lessons were easy to understand, and the lectures were fun and engaging. I am more of a hands-on person, so I had a great time practicing drink recipes behind a real bar set up. My second time around I took the refresher course, and had just as good of an experience as the first time. I even acquired more skills than before. I love the way that students are trained in this program. Although customer service can be tough and demanding, the instructors make learning fun, friendly, and rewarding. I walked away knowing how to pour drinks accurately and efficiently while maintaining an energetic vibe. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking to bartend.

Jaclyn Silva: I took the two week Bartending class and it was the most fun I have had in a long time. The instructor is amazing and the class is very interactive. You learn so much in two weeks. I have never bartended before and after taking this class I feel like I have been in the industry for years. If you are looking to be a bartender or to gain new skills, this is the only place to go.

Kimberly Ishmell: I had a blast in The Professional Bartender School in Arlington va. The classes where great the instructors kept you interested in learning more.

Hannah Gulilat: PBS works for everyone's schedule. Day time, evenings and/or weekends. They make learning fun and you will be able to remember it easily even after graduation, while on the job. You can get plenty of time before, after and in between class to practice making drinks. They also have job placement to help get a job! You can't beat that. And the icing on cake? The staff! They're helpful and amazing.

Bryce Colburn: I walked in on a Friday to get some information on the school... Within minutes I was behind the bar learning and having fun. Two weeks later I was a certified bartender. I can honestly say that going to PBS was one of the best decisions I have made in years! I enjoy my career field now and will never find myself sitting in a cubicle again! Thank you PBS!

SORA ISHERE: I enrolled for the 2 week course at this academy and had the time of my life, I passed with flying colors and my amazing classmates and instructors made it very easy to understand and fun. I highly recommend this school to everyone who find bartending interesting as a hobby, party trick, or career path. As well as the incredibly flexible and understanding schedule I cannot recommend this class enough This program is amazing. And I will be recommending this to everyone I know for years to come. I already can’t wait to come back I. 3 years to renew my license

Victoria Smith: For someone who's never been behind a bar, my experience at Professional Bartending School has made me feel like a pro. The instructors and all the staff are awesome. They are very flexible and willing to work with schedules. I can say I don't have one negative thing to say. I really enjoyed my experience and plan to recommend this school to anyone interested in Bartending.

Maddie Haines: I am such a fan of this podcast! The topics are diverse and fascinating. The lyrical way Eric talks about ingredients is nothing short of inspirational. Never have I encountered such a beautifully descriptive and yet instructional podcast in the field of food and beverage. An absolute delight to listen to-- every time!!!

Bryce Colburn: Great company with excellent cocktail mixers and a really top-notch podcast with advice for home bartenders.

Salmaan Ali: Love their orange bitters! Will be buying more soon!

Mixin' Mimi Mixology LLC: what do users think?

IceKream Divaz: Hello, my name is Ms Wright and I just want to give this business EVERY bit of my 5 star review!! My bartender Colin was absolutely AMAZING! He showed up early to set up, he was professional and personable! He was able to make drinks that weren’t on my menu! He was THE BEST!!! The owner and her staff were very nice as well! I would most definitely recommend them and I MOST DEFINITELY will be using there services again for my next party!!!

Lisa Daniels: We hired Mixin' Mimi who worked in partnership with Blue Henry to instruct guest on how to make their cocktails for a bridal shower on Zoom. She was wonderful. I was extremely pleased with her professionalism, attention to detail and service. This was a challenging event to coordinate amid the COVID crisis and Mimi provided a service we could depend on. We ordered drink kits from Blue Henry that consisted of all the ingredients to make a French 75. At a time when the world is at odds and practicing social distancing, Mimi was able to engage all guests, answer questions and help everyone celebrate.

Jaki Bradley: I found Mixing Mimi Mixology on a google search when preparing for a private party at my home. Mimi & her Team are fabulous. They have been extremely helpful in planning my event. She made a site visit to ensure she would be able to meet all of my needed. As a bonus, she ensured the bar matched my theme and is developing special drinks that will match the theme. My event is not for a couple weeks....I know it will be fabulous as result of her personal touch.! Stay tuned for the follow-up.
Response: Hi Ms Jaki - Thank you for the great feedback! :-) Our team truly enjoyed working with you! Thank you for trusting us to provide staffing services for your event. We look forward to working with you in the near future. Cheers! Mimi

Frankie Seabron: We hired Mixin Mimi for our wedding this past June. In the beginning things went fairly smoothly but after we decided to contract with Mimi and paid the deposit we did not hear from her for months and on the night of the event staff hired through her were seen stealing bottles of wine and she changed our invoice on May 31st, the day before out wedding. I'm only giving 2 stars because the bartenders were amazing and very attentive.
Response: Hi Frankie - Thank you for your feedback. We had an amazing time at your reception. Our servers and bartenders conversed, danced and partied with your guests all night. We did our best to ensure that your celebration was special. With that said, I am disappointed this review was posted, after you previously expressed your concerns in a conversation offline. As a client and childhood acquaintance, I hoped for nothing more than to provide you with the best service possible. There are a few things to address here: 1) Communication: Our team did not go months without communicating with you. We made several changes, as requested, leading up to the day of your reception. We also attended the walk-through to ensure we had all of the final preparations arranged. However, I do believe we could have done a few things better as we also dropped that ball on finalizing your “hers” cocktail, after you wanted the original one to be edited and the guide we were due to send you was delayed. As a bride-to-be, I understand that you are anxious and looking forward to your big day. Brides expect reassurance to know that all is well with their vendors. For this, I extend my sincerest apologies. Moving forward, we will do our best to respond as quickly as possible to our client’s inquires. 2) Increase in Total Costs: Prior to the walk-through, the guest count you estimated was significantly lower than what the final number turned out to be. During the walk-through, we informed your mom that your cost would increase as we needed additional time to setup and more staff. She agreed and we proceeded with updating the total. The e-mail that you received the day before your wedding was automatic reminder email that goes out when an invoice is unpaid, not an unexpected/unforeseen increase. 3) Accusation of theft: This is most disheartening part of the review. I was onsite the day of your wedding’s events. I was the last of my staff to leave. I did not witness any of our team members leave with wine bottles. We have a strict, zero-tolerance policy for theft. The team who worked your reception has worked many events for us with no issues reported. Additionally, you rated the caterer who contracts with us for staff (servers) 5-stars and no mention of theft. We went above and beyond to make sure you have everything you needed/wanted, including providing our team of eight with pink, satin ties (for your color-coordination) and supplying the bar with hibiscus syrup at no additional cost. As previously mentioned, we very much enjoyed working with you and your family. I am glad that you trusted us with your wedding’s events. It is unfortunate that you were unhappy with the service provided. All of your concerns have been noted and we will do our best to continue to improve. Cheers, Mimi

Anna Maria Marquez: My husband and I hired Mixin Mimi to provide bar and staff services for our wedding and we couldn't recommend them more. Mimi was extremely professional, flexible and friendly to work with and I couldn't be happier with the service they provided for our wedding. They made sure all of our guests were happy, well fed, and had their drinks and went out of their way to take care of me as the bride and my husband as the groom - running to grab us water, drinks, more food etc. I couldn't recommend them more for your next event!
Response: Hi Anna Maria - Thank you for the amazing feedback! :-) You and your husband were a pleasure to work with! We had an amazing time at your event! We are happy that you trusted us to provide bar and wait staff services for your wedding reception. We look forward to working with you in the near future. Cheers! Mimi

Coffee & Cocktails with MC: I have known and worked with Mimi for years. She is professional, yet personable and friendly. She makes a delicious cocktail as well! Mixin Mimi Mixology is a huge part of the networking events that our nonprofit hosts every month. We could not do them without Mimi and her team!

T. Johnson: I hired Mixing Mimi Mixology for my engagement party this past weekend. My expectations were surpassed by their professionalism, upbeat dispositions and fun vibe they provided to the party atmosphere. The owner of the company,Mimi, was in total command making sure the guests drinks stayed full and happy. She was also very patient and accommodating as I was very indecisive about my signature drink. She helped me pull together some great ideas and a fun name. My family and guests truly enjoyed MMM's service and can't wait for them to be a part of our next soirée.
Response: Hi Tori - Thank you for the great feedback! :-) Our team truly enjoyed working with you! Thank you for trusting us to provide bartending services for your event. We look forward to working with you in the near future. Cheers! Mimi

Tiara Noelle: Mixin' Mimi is the best! We used her for our corporate holiday event and I couldn't have asked for a better bartender/bartending service. She worked with us up until the day of the event to make sure all the details were right. She offers many options/packages to fit your needs. She was patient and professional, as we were trying to finalize last minute details. Then at the event, she was punctual, professional, upbeat and so nice! The custom cocktail menu she prepared featured excellent drinks! Our staff really enjoyed her and the service she provided. I would definitely use Mixin' Mimi for any event I am hosting.
Response: Hi Tiara - Awesome feedback, thank you! :-) We had an amazing time at your event! We are thankful to you and your team for trusting us to provide bartending services for holiday party. We look forward to working with you in the near future. Cheers! Mimi

Hannah Rowan: I highly recommend Mixin Mimi Mixology. She is friendly and professional -- and creative! The signature cocktails she came up with for my wedding reception a couple weeks ago were a huge hit. Thanks so much, Mimi!
Response: Hi Hannah Thank you for the awesome feedback! :-) We had an amazing time at your wedding reception. You were such a beautiful bride and your family was a pleasure to work with! Thank you for trusting us to provide bartending services for your reception. We look forward to working with you again in the near future. Cheers! Mimi

Kristyl Smith: If you're hosting an event in the DMV area you need to look no further than Mixin Mimi! She's a world class professional with a warm smile that lights up the entire room. Guests will linger at the bar just to talk to her and her partner. She brings the drinks, the drinkware and an enthusiastic energy that is contagious. I'll be booking her for two more events in the near future.

the Gibson: what do users think?

Leo Liu: A very very cute speakeasy. Our server Dwayne was most friendly and offered to help us take our one year anniversary picture. Ordered two rounds of drinks and was very satisfied with the dealer's choice.

Jeff Schwamb: A brilliant speak-easy with bartenders that truly take their craft seriously. The custom mezcal drink was spot on the lighting and atmosphere promoted an escape from the outside world.

A V: Definitely a 4 star experience, not more. Clean, with a nice atmosphere ( music selection was not speakeasy.. more hip hop), and the staff was very nice. However, drinks were not impressive for the price paid. Also, they should describe the drinks better, especially if they have an online menu. Went to 600t on the same night and much better experience

Ian Patrick: Such a fun place! It's super hidden, and I've probably walked past it a dozen times and never realized it was there. The outside is really discreet. The inside is incredibly classy, and the drinks are really unique. I enjoyed all of the drinks I tried, and our waiter was incredibly helpful explaining all of the unique ingredients and the flavors we could expect. He was super helpful helping us decide from so many great options.

byron subero: So my new thing is trying to go to all the speakeasy in the DMV. 6 down many to go. Gibson has a relaxing vibe with a indoor and outdoor seating.

2luvis2live: This place is so discreet. Once inside, you are totally removed from outside and embraced by the atmosphere which was chill and laid back. Everyone was cool and down to earth. Our bartender was so warm and friendly (Enjoy your upcoming birthday in August Leo). I would definitely visit again. Thanks for a great time.

Paige Sheats: This is one of my go to places. I love the vibe and it’s very speakeasy-ish! I also can’t say enough good things about the cocktails! They’re not only delicious but also very unique based on other speakeasies and bars around town! The only negative is it’s hard to get a table if you’re just trying to walk in, so book a reservation in advance.

James Lee: Great drinks and beautiful interior. I also recommend ordering your own and letting the bartender be creative. The bar is currently closed (tables only) and service was a bit slow when I went, but still had a good time.

Emily Park: Speakeasy with seasonal craft cocktails. You can sit at the bar, the booths, the tables, or at the patio. The music wasn't too loud, but it can be a little loud when it's crowded. The candle-lit atmosphere adds to the speakeasy vibes. There are two unisex bathroom stalls that are pretty clean.

Maya Bryant: This speakeasy was tucked away off of U street. The drinks were okay, but the vibe was everything. Very fun for a chill night. Make sure you have a reservation.

Republic Restoratives Distillery and Craft Cocktail Bar: what do users think?

David DiMora: Well... I guess I can't say one way or another... we were met at the door by an order to put masks on then told that they are only a retail shop for their spirits. Couldn't taste anything to decide. Definitely NOT a craft cocktail bar!!!!

Dan C: Nice place to sample craft spirits. Wide open space converted into distillery. Staff is friendly in this Ivy City spot. Bright equipment accentuate natural light coming int he wide windows. Great place to start or wind down an evening.

Morris Jones: Attended the launch of their "Chapman's Apple Brandy"...the brandy...ultra smooth(as in VSOP smooth!). The ambiance is fantastic . Spacious, with lots of cozy spaces, and couches. The bar area has ample seating at the bar as well as table seating close by. Great crowd...I will be back.

Wanda Ellis: Always welcoming andvyour order is ready on time. Love the specials and I love Boroughs.

Chelsea Andrews: I have been to this place twice and have had a pleasant time each time! I really enjoy their drink Chin Chin and I think they have another one called the Monte Carlo??? (maybe). either way their cocktails are fun and tasty. They also offer a tour for $12 pp which is a perfect date day, cool activity where you learn about bourbon, some of the drinks they offer and much more. The tour is about an hour long and you are able to sample some of the liquor the tour touches upon and it it just an amazing tour. To learn about how Republic Restoratives came to be, the amazing female founders...it just makes the experience so worth it. I am always able to find street parking. Both times I have visited I did the tour and the people that I was with loved it. They dont sell food but there's food surrounding you!! You can also purchase some of their personalized liquor here...prices vary so ask first!! Bartenders have always been pleasant and happy...overall a great experience.

Channelle Ashley: Kind of love this place. They make a great crafted cocktail ( sage advice etc). Definitely will come back

Timothy Davin: Visited on an overcast and drizzly Saturday afternoon, the bar area wasn't totally full but there was a good amount of people. Did not take the tour (which costs money and needs to be booked via their website) but had some drinks with friends. Was surprised at the poor customer service at the bar, the bartenders were not very friendly and did not say anything to us other than to ask us what our order was. We were two couples and I noticed the bartender helping our other couple was similarly curt. Drinks were fine, we all ordered something different, the drinks were generous with the booze and they are made in a very 'mixologist' way with the mixers in beakers and ingredients all prepped ahead of time, but even with that I felt that the drinks took awhile to make. I don't know if you can order anything other than whats on the menu for the day but there is a good range of options i feel that there would be something to suit everyone. There are 2 or 3 drink choices per 4 spirits. There is limited seating with one large table and some barrels around the room to stand at. The bar area is probably 20x20 with floor to ceiling windows and hanging pothos plants that give the place a nice airy feeling.

Andrea Priest: We held our wedding celebration at RR, and it was really fantastic. In addition to the incredible cocktails, the setting at the distillery was beautiful, and Kate made planning for the event seamless. Everyone at our celebration had a great time- thanks for making our event special!

Jorge Bernal: Dropped in by chance on 8/25/18 @2pm Had some amazing drinks at the bar, and snagged two spots on the 3pm tour. Awesome tour of their facilities which included samples. Definitely will come back! Icing on the cake was the free hat one of the owners gave me for helping with keeping the front door closed... 😀

Austin Graff: Republic Restoratives is one of the best distilleries in Washington, DC. Here's why: 1) Drinks: They have the smoothest vodka, bourbon, and soon to be rye whiskey. It goes down easy and is very, very good. On top of that, their bar makes out of this world cocktails. They have 5-6 vodka options (I recommend the punch or Moscow Mule) and 5-6 bourbon drinks. 2) Space: It's in the heart of Ivy City and their space fits the industrial ambiance of the neighborhood well. Their main area is decorated with barrels to sit on and old school file cabinets and hanging greens from the walls. The mayor of DC had her birthday part here and you can tell why the moment you walk in. Just do an Instagram search and you'll see countless photos pop up that speak to its wonder. 3) Staff: They are friendly, knowledgeable, and fun people. The owners are two best friends making this place one of the only female run distilleries in the country. 4) Tours: For only $12, you get an hour tour, tasting, and a very cool looking shot glass. If there's one distillery to visit in Ivy City, it's Republic Restoratives (Though, I do recommend taking a day and explore all the distilleries in Ivy City like New Columbia and One Eight Distillery).

THE BETSY: what do users think?

Adriana Rakshana: Wanted to try out Belga Cafe but it was too full on a Sunday (so get a reservation if you want to try out Belga) but Betsy is a great alternative. Same menu and kitchen, just a different location. It's the rooftop right behind Belga. Service was a little slow but couldn't blame them, it was pretty crowded. My friend got the cornbread waffle dish and absolutely loved it. I was so-so on the chicken and waffles - nothing terribly spectacular so maybe try something else. The chicken was good, the waffle was pretty mediocre.

LP: Follow the chicken feet from the Main Street to the back alley entrance! It’s cute covered rooftop spot, the drinks are good and food is hearty homey. Didnt like how the bartender refused to use the gin I already paid for in a cocktail because it was “meant to sip”. I tasted it - and decided I didn’t wanna sip it. Being rude and elitist won’t have me back again.

Kyle Olson: Betsy is always a good time with great drinks. They specialize in gin but have alternative liquors and beer for those that aren't into gin. Love the fact most of their drinks have a unique flavored ice cube. Get there early as tables do fill up quickly.

Paul Nolan: Excellent rooftop bar in DC! Large menu of gin drinks. Pretty small space which makes it feel cozy and not overwhelming. Food is good too. Definitely add to your bucket list of DC bars.

Jason Mellen: Brie waffle sandwich and chocolate mousse. Pretty good. Drinks just alright.

Sasha Farley: Super delicious brunch from Belga and a great ambiance. The bartender/server was super helpful and friendly. The chicken in the chicken and waffles was delicious and the green eggs were light a yummy. We'll definitely be coming back to try more on the menu.

Fanise Cannon: If my aesthetic was a place, it would be BETSY! It’s like taking a trip out of DC but not having to leave the city. I’ve only had cocktails and they were superb and refreshing to say the very least. I went for my birthday weekend and the staff was very nice and helped me pick out a drink based on what I liked. I love some vibes and a good gin drink, so I will definitely be back!!

Carl-Gustav Anderson: The cutest gin bar in the city. G&Ts are all wonderful, thoughtful, and varied, and there are a handful of truly excellent cocktails available. A+

Mel Köberle: Found this place following the cute chicken feet spray painted on the floor. We were very pleasantly surprised with the amount of space and unique decor. When all other spots were beyond crowded this place had ample space and a mouth watering menu. We were able to keep our bikes safely here as well which is a plus! The food is fantastic, I’m coming back to try more things. Enjoy!

Soph B: Betsy is the rooftop bar behind Belga Café. To enter you need to go around the back entrance in the alley and up a staircase. It's technically a gin bar and they have an amazing array of gin and tonics and gin based cocktails. I recommend the Tested Negative off their cocktail list. My partner and I shared the mussel pot and the burrata salad, both were good, the mussels were a bit small and chewy but the sauce was so delicious. They did charge extra for bread. Service was prompt, if not very friendly. They are not following all Covid regulations for restaurants, they are not taking or making reservations, they are not contact tracing, they only have one small hand sanitizer on a side table available for all guests. I saw a woman come into the restaurant completely unmasked and use the restroom and walk out. I'm not sure where she came from or what. Everyone else was masked. The menus are standard, leather bound, which I am not sure how they are cleaned between guests. We were glad we brought our own hand sanitizer and portable disinfectant spray. It is outdoors which is nice.

Serenata/Zumo: what do users think?

Josh Newman: This place was incredible. Amazing cocktails, and wonderful staff. The whole area is a super fun vibe. Would suggest stopping for a drink or two before a date night nearby in Union Market.

Jenn Ubiera: Our experience was great! We went during DMV Black Restaurant Week. The bartender, Geoff, was knowledgable and friendly. The drinks were rightly potent and appealing. We had the cheese empanadas which were quite tasty. The location makes sense but I did need to ask someone where the location was before they opened. Altogether, I will be back!

Anna Wooten: Thoughtful and innovative cocktails with knowledgeable staff! Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Shawnese Morris: Serenata has a really cute vibe with some interesting Latin inspired cocktails and small bites. It’s located inside a shared space with another restaurant, which is okay for a meet up with friends. Similar to the setup inside of Union Market. I had a margarita called the “Best Margarita Ever.” It was really good with a little kick to it.

Neha Dhindsa: Rude and fussy. We tried to go with 8 people to an empty bar for a birthday. Would have likely bought 100s of dollars of drinks but they made a fuss about one person carrying a juice and the hostess (who wasn’t at the stand) felt the need to walk up to us and note how “there is a huge sign”. It’s not that huge. Doesn’t seem likely to last long.

Gaelle Claude: It looks like I found a new place for my girlies and I to hang out and have some bomb drinks!! Lately I’ve been all about happy hours and little bars in the city. Seranata was such a great experience!! The staff was super lovely and helpful. The drinks were on point and are served with complimentary cilantro bean dip and chips. I am not even into cilantro but that dip was everything. Located by the union market, that place is becoming one of my favorites. I tried the Coqui Colada (with the umbrella) I highly recommend going!

Kaye Eats: The inside is super cute but we got these pouches to go. Tasted so good, go with the one with Wray and nephew white rum in there. Thank me later!

Melina Aybar: The hostess and the waiter on a busy Saturday night were awesome! Definitely one of the best server I have had in a long time!I think his name is Luis!

Jess: Very interesting drinks. Want to come back and try more. The food was amazing. Just wish the menu was bigger!

H D: Great atmosphere, the staff was super receptive. You could feel they wanted us to have a good experience. Super friendly, great recs, would come over casually to check in and say hi. Absolutely wonderful. Cant wait to come back and bring everyone I know. If you're not familiar with food halls or concepts like that, you might be a little confused when u get there. better yourself. check this spot out.

618 Cocktail and Whiskey Lounge: what do users think?

Haven Jimerson: 618 is a cool low key bar with great space to dance. They just opened a rooftop area which will be great for small events. The vibe is laid back but classy.

Tara Jeanne: The salsa dancing event was not air conditions as promised in the event flyer. It was beyond uncomfortably hot and more expensive than usual. $20 is too much to pay for zero air conditioning on a 96 degree day. Also, the salsa music was playing, but sometimes there is a dance group dancing casino rueda, that takes over the dance floor, making social dancing difficult and not enjoyable.

ct zfbm: Went for Salsa dancing! Great people! Great bar! Drinks are affordable too.

Benjamin Tokataake: It's secure and safe. The staff are friendly and helpful. The club also has its own restaurant where food can be ordered anytime during the night. The sound system is killer - Bassboss equipment - which shakes the floor and pulls you to the dance floor!

Carol O.: I love that this lounge offers Chinese food from the kitchen below. Not only is good delicious, but the owner is so kind.

FFerraz1: Possibly the weirdest bar I have ever been to. They call themselves a whiskey bar but everyone was ordering tequila. The atmosphere is a lot closer to a club, theres a big dance floor and they play Drum n Base music. The menu on the website is apparently outdated and they serve fewer options now. Good cocktails though. Tip is AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDED. I was in a party of three and we only ordered alcohol, and they still auto-tipped me. Safe to say they must get a lot of extra money like this. Watch your checks!

Diana Enriquez: Amazing green beer, my first one real Irish beer for st Patrick’s Day after best bf for so long in US the flights of bourbon that was very good, music was so Irish, we had a great time, the servers were amazing they gave us head bands and were so great and attentive that I can’t compliment more this place I really give the best review ever they are just amazing for me.

Kalan Foster: Drinks were great. The silent disco was very entertaining. They have weekly events so I definitely recommend checking them out!

최창용: Bought a 10$ jin and tonic with 20$ and the bartender tipped himself without even asking

Corey R: Loved the vibe, the drinks were great and the food was FIRE 🔥.

One Route Catering: what do users think?

Alita-Geri Carter: My husband and I took this mixology class today via Groupon. We emailed and were able to get a class scheduled about a month after we purchased. Parking in D.C. is always an adventure. The bar second floor of the ball is spacious for a D.C. venue. The instructor is captivating and relatable. We enjoyed it and would recommend the class.

Shannon Fields: Tasted this at One Eight Distillery, my boyfriend paid $20 for the jerk chicken, macaroni, and a pretzel. The flavor on the chicken was really good but it was cold. The macaroni and cheese was cold answer had no flavor at all. The pretzel has no salt, was cold and hard and wasn’t served with warm cheese or mustard. If they are in the area, I’d check to make sure everything is hot before you waste your money.

Jazzmin Gayle: I’ve been trying to take their bar tending class for months now! This company has been very unresponsive! I purchased from Groupon; which said to call or email in order to make a reservation. I tried on several occasions. However, they only hold classes for Groupon ticket holders once a month. The class was either canceled or the bartender is a no show! Groupon extended my expiration date, but once again I attempted to attend one final class and the bartender was a no show. I don’t even want to take your class anymore. This company has left a bad taste in my mouth. I have a trail of emails and unanswered calls.

Joel: This is difficult review to write. I would have loved to give this guy better star reviews. It is impossible. He is not inconsisent with the menu although I understand the restaurant industry is one of the hardest hit by this pandemic COVID-19. I strive to support local business wherever possible After having supported this businesses, several times I cannot in good conscience do any further business with this catering business for 3 reasons.. 1) For two orders in a row, they screwed it up, did not get it right. I continued to tip well and placed in good faith. 2) On the alcohol side, each time I order, they watered it down. The content of size they claim to be able and serve is not true. for example, 4 marg.. actual serving size would be 2. It is unfortuante that they could not be up front about this, and they mixed up type of drinks order as welll. Finally and the last of all... This is important note of all.. They signifcantly cut back on drinks portion size, this goes same for some food portion. The only best thing I have ever ate is Jerk Chicken. Overpriced? yes. Dont think I will be back, sad to say this.

Maureen Wyse: Great jerk chicken, so flavorful and tender!! Best chicken I’ve had in a long time! He was catering at One 8th Distillery - if you’re there, definitely grab some!

Teddy: After being lied to by the owner, experiencing multiple cancellations and last-minute venue changes, and having extreme issues with having a refund processed, I can tell you that your money would be better spent anywhere but here. Highly unrecommended.

Liliana Aquino: Over priced cold food, mashed up macaroni and cheese, dry tasteless pretzels. 0/10 would not reccomend.

Denson Liquor Bar: what do users think?

Linda L: It definitely passes the vibe check. The decor and dark wooden accents coupled with the dim lighting and rows of glistening bottles of liquor are just 👌🏼 The foods they offer are perfect for a quick bite and a drink. No complaints about their vast drink selection, and I've only tried their grilled cheese and caviar bites which were great. It's simple but flavorful. I did see they offer a few small desserts that I can't wait to try next time.

TexCat: Wanted to stop into a bar after a night tour of DC before heading back to our Airbnb. Happened upon Denson Liquor Bar - mightily glad we did! What a great little hidden gem! Friendly, personable staff, great drinks and service. Awesome cozy ambiance. Highly recommend

Benjamin G: Was visiting DC and wanted somewhere for after dinner drinks on a Friday night. Found this place. A little hidden but worth the walk down. Cool atmosphere, nice vibe and mix of people. The bartenders were great. They both make a mean old fashioned! True mixologists.

James B: The cocktails are spot on here and reasonably priced for the area. Cool aesthetic, felt like a a hot spot bar you'd find in NYC. I didn't try and food though

Val: Unfortunately, the prices and the way everyone acts here does not match the quality of food and drinks. I'd come here for the swanky dark atmosphere, order a drink or two, then move on for food and other drinks.

Austin Shaheen: Excellent service and the place has a really cool vibe! My fiancé and I were here on a Saturday evening for her birthday and they treated us to a complimentary champagne, very nice touch. We’ll definitely be back and recommend our friends visit here

Khoi Nguyen: Great small speak easy with awesome drinks. Staff is so friendly and very talented bartenders. Place is really dark but easy to navigate around. Food wise the oysters, fries, cheese board and pretzel are a must order bar type food. Drinks everything that has whiskey order here because it's delicious

Dane Fergusson: MUST GO! Walk down the stairs to step back in time to the speakeasy era. Just the setting is worth the trip; but, the drinks are incredible. Add to this the world class bartender Dinesha. Yeah, I said it. World Class! Excellent drinks, suggestions for other drinks, great conversation, asking our preferences to tweak to our tastes, made us feel like we were her only customers... and oh yeah the place got slammed with an overflow crowd... to busy now? No way! She still had time for hugs and pictures, before we left!
Response: Thanks Dane, you rock! All the staff thought you two were great and we all love Denisha too. She's fantastic. Come back and see us soon!

Matt Noble: What a great spot this is! Very old school and dim lighting, as if you are back in time at a speak easy. Drinks were all great and so was the music. If we are ever in DC again we will be sure to come back to Denson! Highly recommend to stop in for a drink if you haven’t already!

Brendan F: There is something about walking into a below street level bar that brings a feeling of vintage nostaligia. The staff is filled with smiles, conversation and great drink ideas and the food is unique and delicious. It does get crowded but that should tell you about the quality of the place. Definitely worth a visit.

Bar Deco: what do users think?

Damon Okey: Great little dive in Chinatown with a rooftop bar. American style pub fare with a good cocktail menu and a few craft brews to chose from. Service was friendly, if a bit understaffed. Glad we stopped!
Response: Thank you for stopping in Damon- we really appreciate the compliment on the service. We hope to see you again soon. Cheers!

Bobbi DeAnda: We were looking for a fun rooftop happy hour and that’s exactly what we found at bar deco! Such a fun spot and the appetizers were SO YUMMY! I had the avocado eggs rolls…oh my gosh, SO YUMMY! Definitely a fun stop! Update 6/13 Came again and it wasn't as great as I remember... I literally dreamt of the club egg rolls I had last time and they were not as good this time (they got rid of the avocado). Also the seating is just a mess. If they put a counter around the edge of the rooftop there'd be so much more seating. Nothing worse than ordering food and having no where to eat it!
Response: Thank you Courtney- we appreciate it so much!

Dan B: We were staying at the Motto Hotel in downtown DC and their rooftop bar was closed for a private event, so they recommended we try Bar Deco, which also has a rooftop bar, and very glad we did. As we entered on the lower level, the hostess mentioned that the rooftop area was quite busy, and suggested we try the bar on the 3rd floor. The bar has a cool industrial vibe along with great Happy Hour food and drink specials. The food is very good (my wife said it's the best burger she's ever had), and they have a nice selection of craft beers and cocktails. We were fortunate to meet their Director of Operations, Jesse, who hails from the upstate NY area where we lived for 28 years, so it ended up being a very enjoyable evening. The next time we're in the area, we would certainly make Bar Deco one of our stops.
Response: Dan- thank you for the rave review! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your visit to Bar Deco. We will pass your compliment on the food to the kitchen as well. Please take care and safe travels home!

Anthony L. Forshier: I ordered the Gouda Short Rib Burger; it was the best sandwich I’ve ever had. I don’t often write reviews of bars or restaurants; but knowledge of that short rib burger must be shared with the world. The short rib was delicious; but what made it exquisite was the added sweetness of the maple syrup coupled with the savory Gouda cheese. The crunchiness of the toasted bun ensured that each bite appealed to all five senses. I will be back.
Response: Anthony- many thanks for the rave review! We appreciate the compliment on the Gouda Short Rib sandwich. We hope to see you again soon!

Will Combs: We sat on the rooftop. Staff was fun and outstanding. Food was amazing as well. The pictured sandwich is only half of it. Portions are more than enough and fairly priced. Atmosphere and quality make this definitely worth a visit.
Response: Thank you for the great review Will- we will be sharing your comments with the team.

Shay Holihan: The whole place is 4 floors and I went when only two of the floors were open. The rooftop is very spacious and the 3rd floor bar is very long. They have great great happy hour specials. And I got the burrata salad with chicken and it was pretty good. Only reason I’m not giving it a 5 was because of the service. My bartender was really fast but not personable. I’ve been a bartender for over 5 years so it hurts to see none of the bartenders care about their guests. Also they add an automatic 20% grat on to every tab. Which I always pay more but it feels very odd to do it so high automatically.

M H: We were here for a Caps game and the larger female server was just angry the entire time. Thank goodness your other server in a black hoodie was there. She was awesome, polite, got us what we needed and even offered to go upstairs for a different beer we were looking for. Went on 5/7/2022 if you are a manager. She is the only reason we will come back. Please teach or help the other server. She was absolutely terrible. As a member of the armed forces and a past server myself, it was absolutely uncalled for and really upset the people around us and ourselves, food was awesome by the way!

Michal Family: This place was just massively disorganized. Check came with a bunch of things we didn't order, we had at least 4 or 5 servers, food runners constantly interrupting our meal trying to give us things we didn't order. This is the product of building a gratuity into every check, no ownership of anything, just shotgun random plates everywhere. Steak and cheese was good, and interesting spiral cut fries. Ultimately they did sort everything out, or I'd be more upset.

Christopher Bagot: Good pregame spot before a Capital One Arena Event. Nachos are best in the city, absolute 🔥! Good happy hour combined with some solid daily specials. Can get crowded on GameDay but service is attentive. Again, best Nachos. Disagree? Tell me what's better
Response: Christopher, THANK YOU for the awesome kudos on the nachos. We let the team know you are a fan. We appreciate your support. See you soon!

Justin M: Self serve bar with first come first serve. Good drinks!
Response: Thank you for the recommendation Justin! We hope to see you again soon. Cheers!

Maryland Bartending Academy: what do users think?

Yolanda Fraction: Chantal is hands down one of "the" best teachers that I've ever had (and I've been in grad school, undergrad and other certificate programs). Seriously, she truly and genuinely cares about the success of each one of her students in the class. Coming from Corporate America, I was in for a rude awakening during this class, I thought, "How hard can bartending be?" But, there was a ton to learn in just two weeks. I buckled down to carve out time to study, though challenging some days, and class really helped me to solidify what I learned. I'm now on this new and AMAZING path! I'm so grateful for Chantal and the Academy.

Sandra Michaels: I have to agree with the good reviews and the positive comments about instructor Hollyn. The program took us through both bar operations and many, many, MANY drink recipes - which essentially jumped me from total novice to professional bartender standing in record time. Great atmosphere with a nice bunch of people and a comfortable, supportive learning environment - plus job leads and advice to get you pouring for dollars. Definitely worth the time and investment!

Adrianna Knight: Chantelle is the best teacher you can ask for! Not only is she very knowledgeable from her experience, she’s very detailed in her explanation and presentation. Even after graduating in Feb 2022, I still go to the school to practice and pick Chantelle’s brain and she’s always more than happy to help me better my skills. 10/10 recommend this school.

Ingrid Elliott: Maryland Bartending Academy was a smart investment in my career! I’ve worked in alcohol beverage marketing and events management for many years and wanted get a “behind the bar” perspective for marketing and promotional purposes. MBA provides excellent course material, in-class and hands on instruction! Ms Chantal and Holland were great teachers, mentors and all around good people who actually care about student success. They gave a firm foundation, not only in bartending, but how newcomers should approach the industry. Career placement was A++ and I ended up interviewing with a top company in the area days before graduating and gaining new client prospects. I can’t thank MBA enough 😊

Tamara Jenkins: I’d say the (Maryland) Bartending Academy was one of the best investments I’ve made! I decided I wanted to be a bartender so I could excel in my personal food business, but after taking the class I realized I had skills! I was nervous when I took the class, but every teacher makes sure no one gets left behind or doesn’t understand something. At the end of the class I was worried if I’d do well at a bar, but the notes they give you help you succeed and I mean succeed! I honestly don’t even use them often because their teaching skills are just A-1! If you’re worried about the price….DON’T. Once a bar hears you came from The (Maryland) Bartending Academy they’re quick to jump and take you in! Once you’re in you’ll make more than what you paid for the class. Oh and they help you get a job so don’t even worry. Take the class and watch your career thrive! The class was fun, I made connections, and still in college making things work with less stress! I truly recommend !!

Taiylor Jackson: This was one of the best investments of my time and money so far in life. Since 2017, I tried working for a company in the local area. I applied 4 times and I was never hired or emailed back. This summer I applied for the same company again with my bartending license from the Maryland Bartending Academy and I was offered a job in less than 30 days after graduating! Ms. Chantelle is the most incredible advocate you could ever have on your team. She’s very dedicated to helping you find your dream bartending job. As long as you work with her and you are coachable and persistent, she will work with you. The course itself was two weeks long, mon-fri and they offer morning and evening classes. They also have a Saturday option. As long as you make detailed flash cards, study them every night , take notes in class, and show up every day on time, you can and will do well. I’m grateful to my instructor Ms. Lita for holding us at high standards and for her thoroughness. I appreciate Ms. Chantelle for her dedication and kindness.
Response: So happy the Casino is working out for you! It was a pleasure having you in class. Thank you for the kind words!

Sydney Lorraine (SydLo): After finishing the Maryland Bartending Academy's (MBA) 2 week bartending classes, I can honestly say that I can see why the school has received a perfect FIVE STAR RATING. The program was extremely thorough and the instructor, Hollyn, captured my attention. Before I arrived, I was nervous about learning so much information in a short period of time while still having obligations early in the day. However, the phrases for the drinks, flashcards, and other study tips has made learning the information and recipes a breeze! Hollyn was great. I can honestly say that she has left an impact on me, and I will miss seeing her everyday. She has a welcoming presence and a great sense of humor. The class could be heard laughing several times during class which made me also enjoy the company of the people I had worked with. After just a week of completing the program, I am proud to say that I have earned a position with a fine dining steakhouse with minimal experience in the restaurant industry. (I worked at a nightclub for 4 months before COVID took over.) During the interview, they asked me questions about what I knew about different liquors and I confidently answered them all. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to become a bartender and become prepped on how to land a job after. I WILL BE MARYLAND'S NEXT #1 BARTENDER. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT CLASS!

em em: The Maryland Bartending Academy course is full of practical information which will prepare you to become a qualified bartender. There is homework and you will need to study for the tests! If you take the course seriously, you will leave comfortable behind the bar and knowledgeable in almost all classic cocktail recipes. Most importantly, the MBA is well respected and maintains a network of restaurants, bars, and events all across Maryland to assist with job placement. I attended the 5-week Saturday course with Chantelle. She is a professional instructor and has enabled me to land a bartending position within 6 weeks of graduation. If you are thinking about becoming a bartender, sign up and make it happen.

Christopher Tucker: I had an amazing time being a student in this academy. My teacher Hollyn was so patient. I loved how I retained all the information and still use all the tips and tricks till this day. I would suggest anyone that wants to get into bartending to join this academy first! It was very educational!

Meredith Olcott: The course was great, I have bartending experience and I still learned so much! The class is fun and hands on, you really learn what it feels like to be behind the bar. The instructor was awesome and knew her stuff! Everyone that works there - the instructors and the people in the office - were very friendly and helpful. You gets tons of practice time, learn lots of great drink recipes, and there is ongoing support with finding a job. I just graduated a week ago and start training for my new job on Monday! I would highly recommend MBA to anyone with experience or novice, that wants to learn how to be a great professional bartender. I looked at several other schools but chose MBA because it seemed to be the most professional and established and I was not disappointed!

Don Ciccio & Figli: what do users think?

Amanda Turcotte: If you have even the slightest interest in Italian liqueurs, you should visit Don Ciccio and Figli. The experience is well worth your time. I recommend a reservation for tasting through the Resy app. I came here with my husband on a recommendation from a friend. Neither of us are familiar with Italian distilled spirits beyond maybe limoncello; so we came looking for a new adventure and we definitely found one. The location just looks like a storage building with outdoor seating from outside, but once you walk in, the environment is transformed into more of an industrial lounge/distillery theme. There is a large bar for tastings and we were greeted as soon as we walked up. You get to try all the spirits in a tasting and believe me you will get your money's worth and an education at the same time. It was really easy to have a conversation with the staff while enjoying each liqueur. There is an obvious proud family history to the brand and you can tell they care about the quality of their spirits. The place was a little loud, but you could still converse without difficulty hearing the people in your party or the staff. The lounge has kind of a hip yet old world Italian vibe to it. After the tasting we stayed to enjoy a hand crafted cocktail in their lounge and purchased a few of our favorite spirits from the tasting line up, before we left. Thanks for a great experience, we plan to come back again! :-)

Michelle Conway: This place is a gem! I brought a big group of friends for my boyfriend’s birthday, and Francesco and his knowledgeable staff took great care of us. We loved the aperitivi, amari, and cordials—they all had interesting, high quality ingredients that made for delicious cocktails. We’ll definitely be returning soon!

Andrew Levine: Beautiful amari, bitters, and cordials! And a lovely experience. Come and do a full tasting, then sit down a try a cocktail at the bar. You won't be sorry!

John Tarasi: My girlfriend and I had a great experience here with a free concise and informal tour by Lisa and a through walk-through tasting of all the distillery’s products. We loved all of the Amaris and aperitifs and grabbed a few bottles to take back to Pittsburgh. I would definitely go out of my way if you’re visiting DC to check these guys out.
Response: Thank you so much for visiting us John! We are happy to hear you enjoyed your time in DC and that Lisa was able to guide you through the full experience at our facility. We hope to see you again soon, whether here or in Pittsburgh! Salute!!

Kitchen Boy: On weekends, if you love Italian liqueurs, you need to stop by and taste the selection. These are made small batch with old school methods. I love the limoncello, Mandarinetto, concerto coffee liqueur and the sirene Amaro. Their bitters and aperitivi are varied and all of the highest quality. I have traveled to Italy many times and can say these are as good as any I have had there. The new tasting room and bar are really nice. Gives you a chance to sample product and taste cocktails made with the same.

stacy siegel: Great patio spot for pre dinner drinks! Excellent cocktails & the bread is amazing! They have just extended their hours & reservations are available on resy.
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to join us. We look forward to hosting you again soon!

Andrew Brown: A very unique experience. Loved the staff, atmosphere, and the cocktails. Would recommend to others to come try their unique spirits.

Kelly S: Came for the tasting, stayed for the adorable bar! It's such a beautiful space and the staff are all so knowledgeable and engaging. I love that these great Italian Amari are being created here in DC.
Response: Thank you so much Kelly! We always love having you and hope to see you again soon!

Racquelle White: I really enjoyed my time there. I decided to go as an impromptu date and was pleasantly surprised. The cocktails were really flavorful and the liqueur tasting was free. We tasted about 15 wildly different liqueurs and bottled cocktails and ended up buying several bottles.
Response: Thank you so much. We loved having you.

George Leffue: If you like amaro, this place is worth a visit. If you like that brewery distillery aesthetic, then you’ll like it. However, the actually have a little more of a sleek bar through a door. The menu is simple and uses their stuff in Italian classics. The breadth of what they produce is rather expansive.
Response: Thank you for joining us and for sharing your thoughts. We hope to host you again soon at our new patio space!

Paolo Verzani: exceptional espresso program. Truly incredibly gifted craftsman. When I visit from NYC I without fail come to visit this cafe and I always get a flat white and enjoy the oudoor seating they have and read my Bible and just unwind. It’s the greatest cafe with a really stunning food selection too! I love their avocado toast, it goes well with their habenero spicy jam!

Ido Simyoni: Such a hipster place for a weekend brunch. Really enjoyed the vibe, service and food. Everyone was so nice and friendly.

Sofia Diaz: We went because of the good reviews online, the place was nice and cozy we were excited to eat there. However after ordering and having paid we were told that we had to eat outside in the rain. It was not the best experience to say the least. Food was ok. I would have preferred to have been given a heads up before ordering.

Lindsay Bishop: The coffee, food & service here is fantastic! I'm a regular at this point- it's a great casual environment to work out of with excellent quality food & espresso. The vanilla Tahitian Latte Iced with Oat Milk is incredible, as well as the avocado toast & breakfast sandwich. Highly recommend!

Angela Huffaker: Carrot cake muffin with sage and cream cheese + breakfast sandwich where amazing, but the coffee was the show - Maximum Effort put in

Jeff E: Great coffee and food. They need to update their offerings online as they say open for dine in and they are not.

S B: Several people behind me got their orders before me. i asked what happened; woman said sorry making your red eye now. she had two cups in her hands and couldn’t tell which one had espresso shots and which one had something else. shockingly, during the pandemic, her colleague put his nose in both to figure it out. took a sip and it was full of vanilla. returned, and she acted like this was a casual mishap—really though, she forgot my red eye and then made a it with shots of vanilla, and then just handed me a new cup of coffee on the spot without even making espresso. kind of grossed me out and i had to work way too hard for a simple order that was overpriced ($6+).
Response: Hi there, we always aim to provide a great experience and we are very sorry that we did not deliver on that for you. Thank you for letting us know so that we can do better. We would appreciate the opportunity to make it right for you, can you please send us an email at sayhello@slipstreamdc.com with your name and contact info? Thank you again and we hope to make it right!

Ian Desouza: Came to this cafe because of the reviews but unsure how it’s reviewed so highly. Just ordered a couple of oat lattes, the price (excluding tip) was greater than $12. Unfortunately one of the worst coffees I’ve had, tbh I would rather go to Starbucks. The staff’s perfunctory service failed to compensate for a poor quality coffee.

Sue Loftis: This was such a cute little coffee shop. Small and not kid friendly. I had the vanilla iced latte, it was perfectly sweetened, not too much sugar that overpowered the coffee flavor. And the Avocado toast was prob the best I’ve had anywhere. I’ve never had it the way they make it but I was pleasantly surprised.

cosmopus: Nice, cozy place. Nice spot to start your day with.Negative side: not clean utensils

Commissary: what do users think?

Lucian Jessel: Brunch was absolutely amazing, and the patio seating was gorgeous! All of the servers were incredibly friendly and helpful. I also absolutely love that gluten free options not only exist, but also are clearly labeled. The gluten free brownie sundae was especially amazing - the texture and flavor were spot on. Pricing is also excellent - it was much cheaper than I expected, especially in regards to the quality/quantity of food and the fact that it's in DC. 10/10, would recommend!

Michelle Diane: Yummy brunch spot with a great outdoor dining set up- it was spacious and had heating lamps. Service was amazing and food was bomb. FYI, the portions are big and certainly shareable (especially the breakfast pizza!) we weren't able to finish it all!

Jo Kim: My Manager set up a Holiday team gathering for a mixology class here. We started out w a rose and made 3 drinks w tastings in between. It was very informational and the timing between cocktails were spot on. The instructor was fantastic and very generous on the liquor. I personally wasn’t a fan on the drink with Chartreuse but the history she told us, behind the liquor was fun/interesting to learn. The food in between were delicious that we stayed for full plates of food after. Service was spot on and food were great.

abdiel blas: Very relaxing atmosphere with open minded people. Great spot for breakfast! Staff were a little busy because it was a packed house but did their best to serve us in a timely manner. Would recommend!

Tiffany W: I really liked my fish and mashed potatoes. My friend ate the porkchop and did not like it. I also ate a piece and I did not like it either. I think the pork chop was really big but not cooked through enough for our liking. The server was cool, drinks were good (bloody mary & peach old fashion)and the atmosphere was nice. I would come back for happy hour.

Fei stetzwa: Marcus, our server: punctual, courteous, charming, and handsome. For that reason alone we'd return. The food and drinks were tasty, well presented and affordable.

Scotty Leach: One of my favorite affordable breakfast spots near Logan Circle. Reliable, fast, and the food is wonderful. I generally order the Huevos rancheros and a mocha to go with it, which fills me up and brings me joy. The outdoor seating is really nice too - I went on a first date here and being outdoors on a warm weekday morning made it feel more intimate somehow. Anyway - the place is usually packed and yet the food still comes quick. Those cooks are amazing. Bottom line: Highly recommended.

Jorden Van Etten: Went here for brunch on my birthday. Had the bottomless mimosas and pancakes. Such a great experience. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed this place so much. The food was so great and i got a free banana split sundae for my bday

Kevin Livingston: Pork belly appetizer was good. Fish and chips were excellent! I will ask that our server please forgive me, because I do not remember his name, but he was very nice and seemed very pleased to take our order. Thank so much, sir. Loved the decor and the atmosphere. Most important; clean restroom 🚻.

Linden Yee: This place is awesome! The happy hour is so reasonably priced with $5 rail spirits and cheap appetizers. I really liked the chicken lettuce wraps. Breakfast has also been solid too. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed and the staff is always really friendly.

The St. Regis Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Lisa: You will hear the food and beverage director before you see him. During our trip, he raised his voice multiple times quite angrily - it was quite concerning to hear him speak to guest service staff in such a way and that he was comfortable enough to do it in front of guests, too. Otherwise, my husband and I had an absolutely lovely stay. Our room was amazing and there were lots of friendly faces. I also especially enjoyed the pillows, and I wish I had thought to ask what type they were as they were super comfy.

Hampus Engstroem: Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a hotel. This website will compare thousands of booking web sites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the highest rated in this area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't regret it. We went to St.Regis afternoon tea to celebrate the cherry blossom season and it didn't disappoint. The place is nice and their tea selection is amazing. It's a set menu. I personally enjoyed the savory part more. While the sweets were well represented and looked amazing, nothing tasted special but the scones. I highly recommend it I just wished that I have the choice of picking what I'd like instead of having little of everything. They offered a to-go box for the rest of the sweets though.

Sade Smith-Edwards: The hotel is amazing and me and my husband went here for the afternoon tea this passed Friday. It was our 5 year anniversary and we were thinking of staying the night after a fun day of hanging out in the city. Our opinion had changed when the person servicing us essentially never addressed me, even when I was the one asking questions. When my husband asked to have champagne, only HE got to taste it and I was blatantly ignored. She had her back to me as often as possible... That is until I was the one paying the check. I have NEVER, and I do mean never, been treated that way in any service capacity. This completely deterred me from book a night there. I'm sure the staff and hotel is wonderful but this was not a good look. And this was our 5 year anniversary. Probably will think twice before considering going here for a stay.

Ghaida Alshabnan: We went to St.Regis afternoon tea to celebrate the cherry blossom season and it didn't disappoint. The place is nice and their tea selection is amazing. It's a set menu. Squirrely: Five stars all around. The rooms are elegant, updated, clean, and comfortable. Each staff member I dealt with went above and beyond to help. I was especially pleased with the front desk employee who grabbed me a cup of coffee in the middle of the night when I had to catch an early flight. The location is excellent and there are plenty of restaurants and attractions within walking distance.

J. Jasmine Villanueva: My husband and I took a last minute trip to Washington and decided to take my parents to this facility and couldn't be happier. Rooms and service were nothing short of amazing. The staff at any St. Regis property NEVER disappoints. Oh, and it's literally a 3 minute walk from the White House and restaurants, etc. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is visiting Washington DC.

Sarah Morris: Unfortunately this was a disappointing and underwhelming experience. The hotel is pretty but lacks 5 star service. I have dust allergies and spent most of my time here with a clogged nose which miraculously cleared up when outdoors!! I assume this was to a lack of cleaning of their filtering system. The staff did their best and offered complimentary breakfast but I really cannot excuse having a poor night's sleep in a hotel? Certainly not worth the price ticket and I would choose elsewhere if I return.

Liem Huynh: We stayed for one night in the Metropolitan Suite in June 2022. The room desperately needs renovation and service was nonexistence. Disappointing experience overall. No prearrival email, no response when I emailed the butler service for restaurant reservation, zero communication from the butler during the entire stay. Unfriendly lobby staff, no greeting, had to open the door on my own at times. The Metropolitan Suite was old and in need of a renovation. Dirty pillow cases, worn out carpets, water from faucet smelled a little punky and we even found pieces of shattered glass on the floor. Only positive experience was the check-in, after that everything went down hill. Recommend trying something else while you’re in DC. Much better experience at the Ritz Carltons if you’re a Marriott fan.

Joe J.: Amazing tea experience in DC, probably the best in terms of service, flavor, presentation and selection of teas. The cherry blossom touch is a nice and pleasant surprise. Although it is on the pricey end, definitely recommend!

Ayesha SH: I attended the Whimsy event on April 1. Pros and cons below: Pros: Wine was good. We ordered a Napa cab so it was costly. Ambiance was decent. The best part was their waiters who were super friendly and hospitable. Cons: I was told parking would be validated prior to attending the event. On the day of they refused. We spent upwards of $600 and they wouldn’t validate the parking. Food was ok. I didn’t feel that great later at night. The princess thing was childish, hilarious, and unnecessary. Adults attend these kinds of events not kids. Overall not worth the money they charged us.

Pinstripes: what do users think?

Raja Haider Hussain: Went for dinner with family this evening. This location is perfect for a weekend drinks, lunch and dinner. One of the best spots near Georgetown waterfront. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and both options offer a lively ambiance. The staff is very attentive , efficient and courteous. They have carefully selected menu and the food we ordered was served fresh and the quality was above par. Their Calamari, Wings, Pizza, Ceasar Salad, Lasagna and chicken sandwiches were really good. However the grilled chicken with Caesar salad was very dry and not that great. We were also offered dessert on the house ( Brownie and ice cream) which was delicious. Over all a nice hangout spot and highly recommended for a casual friendly outing with good food and surroundings.

Benjamin W.: Went here for bowling. Reserving a lane means a server will periodically come by and take food + drink orders. The only thing is their happy hour menu isn't valid while bowling. I'm already spending money to bowl, why can't I get some cheap beer and snacks. Food and drinks were good and staff was responsive. Bowling was fun, so I'd go back. Maybe offer bowling only food and drink specials and clearly state where the happy hour menu is valid up front. Overall solid experience.
Response: Dear Benjamin, Thank you for taking the time to write a review and feedback! We are so glad you had a wonderful time bowling at Pinstripes. Hope to see you again soon!

Khoi Nguyen: Great place for happy hour. I've dined here multiple times. Stopped by on a busy Sunday. My family and I ate some truffle fries, flat breads and wings. The wings are a must order especially the spicy calabrese. Prices are reasonable and on Sunday HH is between 6-10 pm. The drinks weren't bad either. You can get mixed cocktails for around $6. Fun place to celebrate something or enjoy some happy hour food and drinks. Service is always at a high-level

Mark Orebiyi: My project team had out quarterly engagement activity at Pinstripes recently. We had a slot from 4-6pm. They give you a 15min grace period which is nice. We started bowling and 30 minutes in our lane started acting up. The lane mechanic came to fix it while me and my team ordered food. The food is fantastic. From the wings to the pizza we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, our lane was never fixed. After an hour from when it stopped working we were offer to go play Bocce Ball for 30min prior to use leaving. The Manager (Leo) was very accommodating and cover our bowling cost as we well as you bocce ball game. Although they had issues the food was amazing and they took good care of us.

Fredrik Otter: Generous portions and innovative kitchen. Happy Hour prices are fantastic and the location fabulous. Slow service, but when the weather is nice that is only a plus!

Stephen Balza: Just enjoyed a nice meal outside along the C&O Canal on a stunning July evening. Our server was friendly, efficient, and attentive. The food portions (Baked Lasagna and Chicken Sandwich) were on the small side, but tasty and moderately priced. It’s a unique place in a great location (Wisconsin Ave a couple blocks from M St and a couple blocks from the Waterfront). We didn’t try the bocce or bowling but it was full of folks who were enjoying it.
Response: Dear Stephen, Thank you for the five star review. We are thrilled you enjoyed our delicious selection of dishes on our patio. We are glad you enjoyed our Lasagna and Chicken Sandwich. We are glad you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon for bowling and bocce.

Judy Gordon: I couldn’t be more impressed with this experience in DC. From the minute I walked in with my 2 young grandsons until we left I found the staff to be professional and caring. They certainly care about cleanliness and sanitizing which I appreciated. The food was just delicious- we shared a pizza and scrumptious warm brownie with ice cream for dessert. Do not miss it. The boys loved having the bumper rails automatically pop up when they took their turn. They also loved being able to create various scoring games using animated characters. It was so kid friendly. I felt that the each employee went out of his/ her way to make our experience a terrific one. There’s no other reason to go to any other bowling facility to have a good time.

Bri M: It was my first time bowling at Pinstripes. We had a great time. I will definitely return. The food was awesome and the staff very friendly and attentive. Found that the music was a little loud at times but overall it was a great experience. Parking is underneath and accessible off of Wisconsin Avenue which is very convenient if you are not one to look for street parking. Highly recommend if getting together with family and friends interested in experiencing an upscale bowling activity.
Response: Dear Bri, Thank you for your wonderful review! We are so glad you enjoyed the food, service and bowling! We hope to see you again soon!

Lucie Lautenschlager: Waiter were very kind they know how to do their job. I loved the food. All of it the desert especially I loves going bowling their and from being somewhere not luxurious then this is taking it 2 steps up and I'm in love with this place. I'd recommend to stop and dine in for good food. Have to come again when I visit again. The price and flavor of the food is perfect.
Response: Dear Lucie, Thank you for your review! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit with fun bowling, delicious food and service! We are so glad you enjoyed the desert as well! We cannot wait to see you at Pinstripes again soon!

Thomas Weber (halifax9): Very good bloody Marys. Not overly done. Just right. The lobster and egg bruschetta is delicious. Although I would say the bread is unnecessary. Service started slow but got better. A very nice place. Oh by the way, they have bowling and bocce too!
Response: Dear Thomas, Thank you for the feedback. We are glad you had an amazing experience and enjoyed our Lobster & Egg Bruschetta and Bloody Mary. We hope to see you again soon for bowling and bocce.

Mastro's Steakhouse: what do users think?

John Darden: The steaks were cooked just right. Our waiter was polite and make our evening more enjoyable. The lobster mash potatoes had plenty of lobster meat; however, it was oily. If you like lemon drops then you should definitely try theirs because of the taste and presentation. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were huge. We had added crab meat to one of the steaks; however, we felt as though the restaurant could have included more meat relative to the cost of the dish but it was good. You can pay your bill using your phone. That was a nice touch (no need to wait for someone to come back to you) We plan on coming back.
Response: Hello, we appreciate you sharing your experience with us, and we are always looking for ways to improve and would appreciate any additional feedback you would be willing to provide at the link below. Thank you. http://ms.spr.ly/6263boU0Z

Ariel Aviles: Mastro's was a great surprise for our DC trip. Super fancy decor, low light and superb service. Appetizers where on point (shrimps, burrata), steak was perfect and the wine selection impressive! Highly recommended.
Response: Thank you for your review. We’re glad you had a good experience and hope to see you again soon!

Mary McKay: We couldn’t have chosen a better establishment to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. From the food to the service, everything was exceptional. The service size of everything is huge! You could definitely share every course and spend half the money…or if your like us, we enjoy the left overs the best day 😍.
Response: Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us such a fantastic review! We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us. Your satisfaction is our priority, and as affirmed by your review, we pride ourselves on our exceptional service. We sure hope to see you again soon!

Jaela Ford: This review is strictly for the waitress named Nicole. We would have given 5 stars if she did not taint our experience in the beginning. We were told by the hostess that she would be our “wonderful” waitress. She also came over to bring us menus and ask our water preference as if she was our waitress. However, for some odd reason the waiter was switched. When she was acting as our waitress, she was extremely short when answering our questions & seemed as though she did not want to be bothered. She also never introduced herself. We had to ask our new waiter for her name. There was absolutely nothing positive about her. It was as if she had pre judged us just because we were a table of young black women. Thankfully, our new waiter Phillip came over and saved the night. He was super welcoming and helpful. He answered all of our questions with a smile. His customer service was top tier! The drinks and food were also amazing! Thank you Phillip!
Response: Hi Jaela. Thank you for choosing to dine with us, as we know you could have chosen anywhere to enjoy your meal. We are always looking for ways to improve, and would appreciate any feedback you would be willing to provide at the link below. http://ms.spr.ly/6260wuAhs

Junaid O: Definitely one of the best restaurants in DC. Went to Mastro's for my cousins birthday dinner, reserved the private room downstairs(check with the team for availability). We got there about an hour and a half before closing, yet they were very patient with us. The shrimp cocktail and Woodford Manhattan were excellent. Tried some of the other appetizers from the table and everything tested pretty well. For the main course I had the Rack of Lamb, didn't disappoint at all. Dessert was no different as well, the butter cake was the highlight for sure. Highly recommend!

Jennifer Driggers Driggers Group Real Estate: Our family ate here for New Year's Eve 2021 on our trip to D.C. We thoroughly enjoyed the food the atmosphere and the service. The Wagyu steak was definitely worth the money. The lobster mac n cheese and garlic mashed potatoes were great along with the Bacon and sau'teed shrimp appetizers. For desert definitely must try the warm butter cake. Wish we had a Mastro's closer to home. We will definitely go back!!
Response: Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us such a fantastic review! We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us. Your satisfaction is our priority, and as affirmed by your review, we pride ourselves on our exceptional service. We sure hope to see you again soon!

Sage Williams: First time experience and I loved it. Live music, calming atmosphere, amazing service and food. This is an upscale establishment where you are expected to wear slacks as a man. Please be aware all items are "a la carte"

Rosalind Manning: Wonderful evening celebrating a special mom and daughter event. Not one thing could have been improved upon. Thank you for a great experience.
Response: Thank you for your review. We’re glad you had a good experience and hope to see you again soon!

Mark Blanchard: Food was great, but service was a little slow. It took more than 20 minutes for out server to acknowledge us and get us a beverage. The table next to us was annoying. It was 4 people Facetiming someone the entire time we were there, and on speaker. I'm all about sharing memories with loved ones, but use earphones please! It's rude to other customers otherwise. The restaurant also made a mistake on our bill but later corrected it. Overall a good experience, but could be better given the price.
Response: Thank you for your review. We’re glad you had a good experience and hope to see you again soon!

Steven Bazemore: Absolute perfection, outstanding service & sexy Ambience. Best steakhouse I’ve had so far pricey but great experience cost. It was worth every cent.
Response: Thank you for your review. We’re glad you had a good experience and hope to see you again soon!
