Professional Bartending School: what do users think?

Budda: The class was phenomenal!!!! You get behind the bar immediately learning where things are and how to pour effectively. The Teachers and Staff are extremely friendly and and eager to help. The curriculum is a lot to take in but with the techniques given to remember recipes, the unlimited patience and re-assurance of the instructors, I was in the best possible place to learn the art of Mixology. Thanks for the life long skill, as well as, the added cool points PBS!!!!

Sanai Michelle: I attended and graduated from this school twice already. I first took the course in 2010 and enjoyed every minute of it. The instructors were knowledgeable, the lessons were easy to understand, and the lectures were fun and engaging. I am more of a hands-on person, so I had a great time practicing drink recipes behind a real bar set up. My second time around I took the refresher course, and had just as good of an experience as the first time. I even acquired more skills than before. I love the way that students are trained in this program. Although customer service can be tough and demanding, the instructors make learning fun, friendly, and rewarding. I walked away knowing how to pour drinks accurately and efficiently while maintaining an energetic vibe. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking to bartend.

Jaclyn Silva: I took the two week Bartending class and it was the most fun I have had in a long time. The instructor is amazing and the class is very interactive. You learn so much in two weeks. I have never bartended before and after taking this class I feel like I have been in the industry for years. If you are looking to be a bartender or to gain new skills, this is the only place to go.

Kimberly Ishmell: I had a blast in The Professional Bartender School in Arlington va. The classes where great the instructors kept you interested in learning more.

Bryce Colburn: I walked in on a Friday to get some information on the school... Within minutes I was behind the bar learning and having fun. Two weeks later I was a certified bartender. I can honestly say that going to PBS was one of the best decisions I have made in years! I enjoy my career field now and will never find myself sitting in a cubicle again! Thank you PBS!

SORA ISHERE: I enrolled for the 2 week course at this academy and had the time of my life, I passed with flying colors and my amazing classmates and instructors made it very easy to understand and fun. I highly recommend this school to everyone who find bartending interesting as a hobby, party trick, or career path. As well as the incredibly flexible and understanding schedule I cannot recommend this class enough This program is amazing. And I will be recommending this to everyone I know for years to come. I already can’t wait to come back I. 3 years to renew my license

Maddie Haines: I am such a fan of this podcast! The topics are diverse and fascinating. The lyrical way Eric talks about ingredients is nothing short of inspirational. Never have I encountered such a beautifully descriptive and yet instructional podcast in the field of food and beverage. An absolute delight to listen to-- every time!!!

Bryce Colburn: Great company with excellent cocktail mixers and a really top-notch podcast with advice for home bartenders.

Salmaan Ali: Love their orange bitters! Will be buying more soon!

Mixin' Mimi Mixology LLC: what do users think?

IceKream Divaz: Hello, my name is Ms Wright and I just want to give this business EVERY bit of my 5 star review!! My bartender Colin was absolutely AMAZING! He showed up early to set up, he was professional and personable! He was able to make drinks that weren’t on my menu! He was THE BEST!!! The owner and her staff were very nice as well! I would most definitely recommend them and I MOST DEFINITELY will be using there services again for my next party!!!

Jaki Bradley: I found Mixing Mimi Mixology on a google search when preparing for a private party at my home. Mimi & her Team are fabulous. They have been extremely helpful in planning my event. She made a site visit to ensure she would be able to meet all of my needed. As a bonus, she ensured the bar matched my theme and is developing special drinks that will match the theme. My event is not for a couple weeks....I know it will be fabulous as result of her personal touch.! Stay tuned for the follow-up.

Coffee & Cocktails with MC: I have known and worked with Mimi for years. She is professional, yet personable and friendly. She makes a delicious cocktail as well! Mixin Mimi Mixology is a huge part of the networking events that our nonprofit hosts every month. We could not do them without Mimi and her team!

Hannah Rowan: I highly recommend Mixin Mimi Mixology. She is friendly and professional -- and creative! The signature cocktails she came up with for my wedding reception a couple weeks ago were a huge hit. Thanks so much, Mimi!

the Gibson: what do users think?

Jeff Schwamb: A brilliant speak-easy with bartenders that truly take their craft seriously. The custom mezcal drink was spot on the lighting and atmosphere promoted an escape from the outside world.

A V: Definitely a 4 star experience, not more. Clean, with a nice atmosphere ( music selection was not speakeasy.. more hip hop), and the staff was very nice. However, drinks were not impressive for the price paid. Also, they should describe the drinks better, especially if they have an online menu. Went to 600t on the same night and much better experience

byron subero: So my new thing is trying to go to all the speakeasy in the DMV. 6 down many to go. Gibson has a relaxing vibe with a indoor and outdoor seating.

2luvis2live: This place is so discreet. Once inside, you are totally removed from outside and embraced by the atmosphere which was chill and laid back. Everyone was cool and down to earth. Our bartender was so warm and friendly (Enjoy your upcoming birthday in August Leo). I would definitely visit again. Thanks for a great time.

Paige Sheats: This is one of my go to places. I love the vibe and it’s very speakeasy-ish! I also can’t say enough good things about the cocktails! They’re not only delicious but also very unique based on other speakeasies and bars around town! The only negative is it’s hard to get a table if you’re just trying to walk in, so book a reservation in advance.

James Lee: Great drinks and beautiful interior. I also recommend ordering your own and letting the bartender be creative. The bar is currently closed (tables only) and service was a bit slow when I went, but still had a good time.

Maya Bryant: This speakeasy was tucked away off of U street. The drinks were okay, but the vibe was everything. Very fun for a chill night. Make sure you have a reservation.

Republic Restoratives Distillery and Craft Cocktail Bar: what do users think?

Dan C: Nice place to sample craft spirits. Wide open space converted into distillery. Staff is friendly in this Ivy City spot. Bright equipment accentuate natural light coming int he wide windows. Great place to start or wind down an evening.

Wanda Ellis: Always welcoming andvyour order is ready on time. Love the specials and I love Boroughs.

Channelle Ashley: Kind of love this place. They make a great crafted cocktail ( sage advice etc). Definitely will come back

Andrea Priest: We held our wedding celebration at RR, and it was really fantastic. In addition to the incredible cocktails, the setting at the distillery was beautiful, and Kate made planning for the event seamless. Everyone at our celebration had a great time- thanks for making our event special!

Jorge Bernal: Dropped in by chance on 8/25/18 @2pm Had some amazing drinks at the bar, and snagged two spots on the 3pm tour. Awesome tour of their facilities which included samples. Definitely will come back! Icing on the cake was the free hat one of the owners gave me for helping with keeping the front door closed... 😀

THE BETSY: what do users think?

Paul Nolan: Excellent rooftop bar in DC! Large menu of gin drinks. Pretty small space which makes it feel cozy and not overwhelming. Food is good too. Definitely add to your bucket list of DC bars.

Jason Mellen: Brie waffle sandwich and chocolate mousse. Pretty good. Drinks just alright.

Fanise Cannon: If my aesthetic was a place, it would be BETSY! It’s like taking a trip out of DC but not having to leave the city. I’ve only had cocktails and they were superb and refreshing to say the very least. I went for my birthday weekend and the staff was very nice and helped me pick out a drink based on what I liked. I love some vibes and a good gin drink, so I will definitely be back!!

Carl-Gustav Anderson: The cutest gin bar in the city. G&Ts are all wonderful, thoughtful, and varied, and there are a handful of truly excellent cocktails available. A+

Mel Köberle: Found this place following the cute chicken feet spray painted on the floor. We were very pleasantly surprised with the amount of space and unique decor. When all other spots were beyond crowded this place had ample space and a mouth watering menu. We were able to keep our bikes safely here as well which is a plus! The food is fantastic, I’m coming back to try more things. Enjoy!

Serenata/Zumo: what do users think?

Josh Newman: This place was incredible. Amazing cocktails, and wonderful staff. The whole area is a super fun vibe. Would suggest stopping for a drink or two before a date night nearby in Union Market.

Jenn Ubiera: Our experience was great! We went during DMV Black Restaurant Week. The bartender, Geoff, was knowledgable and friendly. The drinks were rightly potent and appealing. We had the cheese empanadas which were quite tasty. The location makes sense but I did need to ask someone where the location was before they opened. Altogether, I will be back!

Shawnese Morris: Serenata has a really cute vibe with some interesting Latin inspired cocktails and small bites. It’s located inside a shared space with another restaurant, which is okay for a meet up with friends. Similar to the setup inside of Union Market. I had a margarita called the “Best Margarita Ever.” It was really good with a little kick to it.

Gaelle Claude: It looks like I found a new place for my girlies and I to hang out and have some bomb drinks!! Lately I’ve been all about happy hours and little bars in the city. Seranata was such a great experience!! The staff was super lovely and helpful. The drinks were on point and are served with complimentary cilantro bean dip and chips. I am not even into cilantro but that dip was everything. Located by the union market, that place is becoming one of my favorites. I tried the Coqui Colada (with the umbrella) I highly recommend going!

Kaye Eats: The inside is super cute but we got these pouches to go. Tasted so good, go with the one with Wray and nephew white rum in there. Thank me later!

Melina Aybar: The hostess and the waiter on a busy Saturday night were awesome! Definitely one of the best server I have had in a long time!I think his name is Luis!

Jess: Very interesting drinks. Want to come back and try more. The food was amazing. Just wish the menu was bigger!

618 Cocktail and Whiskey Lounge: what do users think?

Haven Jimerson: 618 is a cool low key bar with great space to dance. They just opened a rooftop area which will be great for small events. The vibe is laid back but classy.

ct zfbm: Went for Salsa dancing! Great people! Great bar! Drinks are affordable too.

Carol O.: I love that this lounge offers Chinese food from the kitchen below. Not only is good delicious, but the owner is so kind.

FFerraz1: Possibly the weirdest bar I have ever been to. They call themselves a whiskey bar but everyone was ordering tequila. The atmosphere is a lot closer to a club, theres a big dance floor and they play Drum n Base music. The menu on the website is apparently outdated and they serve fewer options now. Good cocktails though. Tip is AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDED. I was in a party of three and we only ordered alcohol, and they still auto-tipped me. Safe to say they must get a lot of extra money like this. Watch your checks!

Diana Enriquez: Amazing green beer, my first one real Irish beer for st Patrick’s Day after best bf for so long in US the flights of bourbon that was very good, music was so Irish, we had a great time, the servers were amazing they gave us head bands and were so great and attentive that I can’t compliment more this place I really give the best review ever they are just amazing for me.

Kalan Foster: Drinks were great. The silent disco was very entertaining. They have weekly events so I definitely recommend checking them out!

Corey R: Loved the vibe, the drinks were great and the food was FIRE 🔥.

Alita-Geri Carter: My husband and I took this mixology class today via Groupon. We emailed and were able to get a class scheduled about a month after we purchased. Parking in D.C. is always an adventure. The bar second floor of the ball is spacious for a D.C. venue. The instructor is captivating and relatable. We enjoyed it and would recommend the class.

Maureen Wyse: Great jerk chicken, so flavorful and tender!! Best chicken I’ve had in a long time! He was catering at One 8th Distillery - if you’re there, definitely grab some!

Denson Liquor Bar: what do users think?

TexCat: Wanted to stop into a bar after a night tour of DC before heading back to our Airbnb. Happened upon Denson Liquor Bar - mightily glad we did! What a great little hidden gem! Friendly, personable staff, great drinks and service. Awesome cozy ambiance. Highly recommend

Benjamin G: Was visiting DC and wanted somewhere for after dinner drinks on a Friday night. Found this place. A little hidden but worth the walk down. Cool atmosphere, nice vibe and mix of people. The bartenders were great. They both make a mean old fashioned! True mixologists.

Austin Shaheen: Excellent service and the place has a really cool vibe! My fiancé and I were here on a Saturday evening for her birthday and they treated us to a complimentary champagne, very nice touch. We’ll definitely be back and recommend our friends visit here

Dane Fergusson: MUST GO! Walk down the stairs to step back in time to the speakeasy era. Just the setting is worth the trip; but, the drinks are incredible. Add to this the world class bartender Dinesha. Yeah, I said it. World Class! Excellent drinks, suggestions for other drinks, great conversation, asking our preferences to tweak to our tastes, made us feel like we were her only customers... and oh yeah the place got slammed with an overflow crowd... to busy now? No way! She still had time for hugs and pictures, before we left!

Matt Noble: What a great spot this is! Very old school and dim lighting, as if you are back in time at a speak easy. Drinks were all great and so was the music. If we are ever in DC again we will be sure to come back to Denson! Highly recommend to stop in for a drink if you haven’t already!

Brendan F: There is something about walking into a below street level bar that brings a feeling of vintage nostaligia. The staff is filled with smiles, conversation and great drink ideas and the food is unique and delicious. It does get crowded but that should tell you about the quality of the place. Definitely worth a visit.

Bar Deco: what do users think?

Anthony L. Forshier: I ordered the Gouda Short Rib Burger; it was the best sandwich I’ve ever had. I don’t often write reviews of bars or restaurants; but knowledge of that short rib burger must be shared with the world. The short rib was delicious; but what made it exquisite was the added sweetness of the maple syrup coupled with the savory Gouda cheese. The crunchiness of the toasted bun ensured that each bite appealed to all five senses. I will be back.

Will Combs: We sat on the rooftop. Staff was fun and outstanding. Food was amazing as well. The pictured sandwich is only half of it. Portions are more than enough and fairly priced. Atmosphere and quality make this definitely worth a visit.

Shay Holihan: The whole place is 4 floors and I went when only two of the floors were open. The rooftop is very spacious and the 3rd floor bar is very long. They have great great happy hour specials. And I got the burrata salad with chicken and it was pretty good. Only reason I’m not giving it a 5 was because of the service. My bartender was really fast but not personable. I’ve been a bartender for over 5 years so it hurts to see none of the bartenders care about their guests. Also they add an automatic 20% grat on to every tab. Which I always pay more but it feels very odd to do it so high automatically.

Justin M: Self serve bar with first come first serve. Good drinks!

Maryland Bartending Academy: what do users think?

Sandra Michaels: I have to agree with the good reviews and the positive comments about instructor Hollyn. The program took us through both bar operations and many, many, MANY drink recipes - which essentially jumped me from total novice to professional bartender standing in record time. Great atmosphere with a nice bunch of people and a comfortable, supportive learning environment - plus job leads and advice to get you pouring for dollars. Definitely worth the time and investment!

Adrianna Knight: Chantelle is the best teacher you can ask for! Not only is she very knowledgeable from her experience, she’s very detailed in her explanation and presentation. Even after graduating in Feb 2022, I still go to the school to practice and pick Chantelle’s brain and she’s always more than happy to help me better my skills. 10/10 recommend this school.

Ingrid Elliott: Maryland Bartending Academy was a smart investment in my career! I’ve worked in alcohol beverage marketing and events management for many years and wanted get a “behind the bar” perspective for marketing and promotional purposes. MBA provides excellent course material, in-class and hands on instruction! Ms Chantal and Holland were great teachers, mentors and all around good people who actually care about student success. They gave a firm foundation, not only in bartending, but how newcomers should approach the industry. Career placement was A++ and I ended up interviewing with a top company in the area days before graduating and gaining new client prospects. I can’t thank MBA enough 😊

Tamara Jenkins: I’d say the (Maryland) Bartending Academy was one of the best investments I’ve made! I decided I wanted to be a bartender so I could excel in my personal food business, but after taking the class I realized I had skills! I was nervous when I took the class, but every teacher makes sure no one gets left behind or doesn’t understand something. At the end of the class I was worried if I’d do well at a bar, but the notes they give you help you succeed and I mean succeed! I honestly don’t even use them often because their teaching skills are just A-1! If you’re worried about the price….DON’T. Once a bar hears you came from The (Maryland) Bartending Academy they’re quick to jump and take you in! Once you’re in you’ll make more than what you paid for the class. Oh and they help you get a job so don’t even worry. Take the class and watch your career thrive! The class was fun, I made connections, and still in college making things work with less stress! I truly recommend !!

Taiylor Jackson: This was one of the best investments of my time and money so far in life. Since 2017, I tried working for a company in the local area. I applied 4 times and I was never hired or emailed back. This summer I applied for the same company again with my bartending license from the Maryland Bartending Academy and I was offered a job in less than 30 days after graduating! Ms. Chantelle is the most incredible advocate you could ever have on your team. She’s very dedicated to helping you find your dream bartending job. As long as you work with her and you are coachable and persistent, she will work with you. The course itself was two weeks long, mon-fri and they offer morning and evening classes. They also have a Saturday option. As long as you make detailed flash cards, study them every night , take notes in class, and show up every day on time, you can and will do well. I’m grateful to my instructor Ms. Lita for holding us at high standards and for her thoroughness. I appreciate Ms. Chantelle for her dedication and kindness.

em em: The Maryland Bartending Academy course is full of practical information which will prepare you to become a qualified bartender. There is homework and you will need to study for the tests! If you take the course seriously, you will leave comfortable behind the bar and knowledgeable in almost all classic cocktail recipes. Most importantly, the MBA is well respected and maintains a network of restaurants, bars, and events all across Maryland to assist with job placement. I attended the 5-week Saturday course with Chantelle. She is a professional instructor and has enabled me to land a bartending position within 6 weeks of graduation. If you are thinking about becoming a bartender, sign up and make it happen.

Christopher Tucker: I had an amazing time being a student in this academy. My teacher Hollyn was so patient. I loved how I retained all the information and still use all the tips and tricks till this day. I would suggest anyone that wants to get into bartending to join this academy first! It was very educational!

Meredith Olcott: The course was great, I have bartending experience and I still learned so much! The class is fun and hands on, you really learn what it feels like to be behind the bar. The instructor was awesome and knew her stuff! Everyone that works there - the instructors and the people in the office - were very friendly and helpful. You gets tons of practice time, learn lots of great drink recipes, and there is ongoing support with finding a job. I just graduated a week ago and start training for my new job on Monday! I would highly recommend MBA to anyone with experience or novice, that wants to learn how to be a great professional bartender. I looked at several other schools but chose MBA because it seemed to be the most professional and established and I was not disappointed!

Don Ciccio & Figli: what do users think?

Michelle Conway: This place is a gem! I brought a big group of friends for my boyfriend’s birthday, and Francesco and his knowledgeable staff took great care of us. We loved the aperitivi, amari, and cordials—they all had interesting, high quality ingredients that made for delicious cocktails. We’ll definitely be returning soon!

John Tarasi: My girlfriend and I had a great experience here with a free concise and informal tour by Lisa and a through walk-through tasting of all the distillery’s products. We loved all of the Amaris and aperitifs and grabbed a few bottles to take back to Pittsburgh. I would definitely go out of my way if you’re visiting DC to check these guys out.

Kitchen Boy: On weekends, if you love Italian liqueurs, you need to stop by and taste the selection. These are made small batch with old school methods. I love the limoncello, Mandarinetto, concerto coffee liqueur and the sirene Amaro. Their bitters and aperitivi are varied and all of the highest quality. I have traveled to Italy many times and can say these are as good as any I have had there. The new tasting room and bar are really nice. Gives you a chance to sample product and taste cocktails made with the same.

stacy siegel: Great patio spot for pre dinner drinks! Excellent cocktails & the bread is amazing! They have just extended their hours & reservations are available on resy.

Andrew Brown: A very unique experience. Loved the staff, atmosphere, and the cocktails. Would recommend to others to come try their unique spirits.

Racquelle White: I really enjoyed my time there. I decided to go as an impromptu date and was pleasantly surprised. The cocktails were really flavorful and the liqueur tasting was free. We tasted about 15 wildly different liqueurs and bottled cocktails and ended up buying several bottles.

George Leffue: If you like amaro, this place is worth a visit. If you like that brewery distillery aesthetic, then you’ll like it. However, the actually have a little more of a sleek bar through a door. The menu is simple and uses their stuff in Italian classics. The breadth of what they produce is rather expansive.

Slipstream: what do users think?

Paolo Verzani: exceptional espresso program. Truly incredibly gifted craftsman. When I visit from NYC I without fail come to visit this cafe and I always get a flat white and enjoy the oudoor seating they have and read my Bible and just unwind. It’s the greatest cafe with a really stunning food selection too! I love their avocado toast, it goes well with their habenero spicy jam!

Ido Simyoni: Such a hipster place for a weekend brunch. Really enjoyed the vibe, service and food. Everyone was so nice and friendly.

Angela Huffaker: Carrot cake muffin with sage and cream cheese + breakfast sandwich where amazing, but the coffee was the show - Maximum Effort put in

Jeff E: Great coffee and food. They need to update their offerings online as they say open for dine in and they are not.

Sue Loftis: This was such a cute little coffee shop. Small and not kid friendly. I had the vanilla iced latte, it was perfectly sweetened, not too much sugar that overpowered the coffee flavor. And the Avocado toast was prob the best I’ve had anywhere. I’ve never had it the way they make it but I was pleasantly surprised.

cosmopus: Nice, cozy place. Nice spot to start your day with.Negative side: not clean utensils

Commissary: what do users think?

Jo Kim: My Manager set up a Holiday team gathering for a mixology class here. We started out w a rose and made 3 drinks w tastings in between. It was very informational and the timing between cocktails were spot on. The instructor was fantastic and very generous on the liquor. I personally wasn’t a fan on the drink with Chartreuse but the history she told us, behind the liquor was fun/interesting to learn. The food in between were delicious that we stayed for full plates of food after. Service was spot on and food were great.

abdiel blas: Very relaxing atmosphere with open minded people. Great spot for breakfast! Staff were a little busy because it was a packed house but did their best to serve us in a timely manner. Would recommend!

Scotty Leach: One of my favorite affordable breakfast spots near Logan Circle. Reliable, fast, and the food is wonderful. I generally order the Huevos rancheros and a mocha to go with it, which fills me up and brings me joy. The outdoor seating is really nice too - I went on a first date here and being outdoors on a warm weekday morning made it feel more intimate somehow. Anyway - the place is usually packed and yet the food still comes quick. Those cooks are amazing. Bottom line: Highly recommended.

Jorden Van Etten: Went here for brunch on my birthday. Had the bottomless mimosas and pancakes. Such a great experience. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed this place so much. The food was so great and i got a free banana split sundae for my bday

Kevin Livingston: Pork belly appetizer was good. Fish and chips were excellent! I will ask that our server please forgive me, because I do not remember his name, but he was very nice and seemed very pleased to take our order. Thank so much, sir. Loved the decor and the atmosphere. Most important; clean restroom 🚻.

Linden Yee: This place is awesome! The happy hour is so reasonably priced with $5 rail spirits and cheap appetizers. I really liked the chicken lettuce wraps. Breakfast has also been solid too. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed and the staff is always really friendly.

The St. Regis Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Lisa: You will hear the food and beverage director before you see him. During our trip, he raised his voice multiple times quite angrily - it was quite concerning to hear him speak to guest service staff in such a way and that he was comfortable enough to do it in front of guests, too. Otherwise, my husband and I had an absolutely lovely stay. Our room was amazing and there were lots of friendly faces. I also especially enjoyed the pillows, and I wish I had thought to ask what type they were as they were super comfy.

Squirrely: Five stars all around. The rooms are elegant, updated, clean, and comfortable. Each staff member I dealt with went above and beyond to help. I was especially pleased with the front desk employee who grabbed me a cup of coffee in the middle of the night when I had to catch an early flight. The location is excellent and there are plenty of restaurants and attractions within walking distance.

Joe J.: Amazing tea experience in DC, probably the best in terms of service, flavor, presentation and selection of teas. The cherry blossom touch is a nice and pleasant surprise. Although it is on the pricey end, definitely recommend!

Pinstripes: what do users think?

Raja Haider Hussain: Went for dinner with family this evening. This location is perfect for a weekend drinks, lunch and dinner. One of the best spots near Georgetown waterfront. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and both options offer a lively ambiance. The staff is very attentive , efficient and courteous. They have carefully selected menu and the food we ordered was served fresh and the quality was above par. Their Calamari, Wings, Pizza, Ceasar Salad, Lasagna and chicken sandwiches were really good. However the grilled chicken with Caesar salad was very dry and not that great. We were also offered dessert on the house ( Brownie and ice cream) which was delicious. Over all a nice hangout spot and highly recommended for a casual friendly outing with good food and surroundings.

Mark Orebiyi: My project team had out quarterly engagement activity at Pinstripes recently. We had a slot from 4-6pm. They give you a 15min grace period which is nice. We started bowling and 30 minutes in our lane started acting up. The lane mechanic came to fix it while me and my team ordered food. The food is fantastic. From the wings to the pizza we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, our lane was never fixed. After an hour from when it stopped working we were offer to go play Bocce Ball for 30min prior to use leaving. The Manager (Leo) was very accommodating and cover our bowling cost as we well as you bocce ball game. Although they had issues the food was amazing and they took good care of us.

Fredrik Otter: Generous portions and innovative kitchen. Happy Hour prices are fantastic and the location fabulous. Slow service, but when the weather is nice that is only a plus!

Stephen Balza: Just enjoyed a nice meal outside along the C&O Canal on a stunning July evening. Our server was friendly, efficient, and attentive. The food portions (Baked Lasagna and Chicken Sandwich) were on the small side, but tasty and moderately priced. It’s a unique place in a great location (Wisconsin Ave a couple blocks from M St and a couple blocks from the Waterfront). We didn’t try the bocce or bowling but it was full of folks who were enjoying it.

Judy Gordon: I couldn’t be more impressed with this experience in DC. From the minute I walked in with my 2 young grandsons until we left I found the staff to be professional and caring. They certainly care about cleanliness and sanitizing which I appreciated. The food was just delicious- we shared a pizza and scrumptious warm brownie with ice cream for dessert. Do not miss it. The boys loved having the bumper rails automatically pop up when they took their turn. They also loved being able to create various scoring games using animated characters. It was so kid friendly. I felt that the each employee went out of his/ her way to make our experience a terrific one. There’s no other reason to go to any other bowling facility to have a good time.

Bri M: It was my first time bowling at Pinstripes. We had a great time. I will definitely return. The food was awesome and the staff very friendly and attentive. Found that the music was a little loud at times but overall it was a great experience. Parking is underneath and accessible off of Wisconsin Avenue which is very convenient if you are not one to look for street parking. Highly recommend if getting together with family and friends interested in experiencing an upscale bowling activity.

Thomas Weber (halifax9): Very good bloody Marys. Not overly done. Just right. The lobster and egg bruschetta is delicious. Although I would say the bread is unnecessary. Service started slow but got better. A very nice place. Oh by the way, they have bowling and bocce too!

Mastro's Steakhouse: what do users think?

John Darden: The steaks were cooked just right. Our waiter was polite and make our evening more enjoyable. The lobster mash potatoes had plenty of lobster meat; however, it was oily. If you like lemon drops then you should definitely try theirs because of the taste and presentation. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were huge. We had added crab meat to one of the steaks; however, we felt as though the restaurant could have included more meat relative to the cost of the dish but it was good. You can pay your bill using your phone. That was a nice touch (no need to wait for someone to come back to you) We plan on coming back.

Mary McKay: We couldn’t have chosen a better establishment to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. From the food to the service, everything was exceptional. The service size of everything is huge! You could definitely share every course and spend half the money…or if your like us, we enjoy the left overs the best day 😍.

Jaela Ford: This review is strictly for the waitress named Nicole. We would have given 5 stars if she did not taint our experience in the beginning. We were told by the hostess that she would be our “wonderful” waitress. She also came over to bring us menus and ask our water preference as if she was our waitress. However, for some odd reason the waiter was switched. When she was acting as our waitress, she was extremely short when answering our questions & seemed as though she did not want to be bothered. She also never introduced herself. We had to ask our new waiter for her name. There was absolutely nothing positive about her. It was as if she had pre judged us just because we were a table of young black women. Thankfully, our new waiter Phillip came over and saved the night. He was super welcoming and helpful. He answered all of our questions with a smile. His customer service was top tier! The drinks and food were also amazing! Thank you Phillip!

Sage Williams: First time experience and I loved it. Live music, calming atmosphere, amazing service and food. This is an upscale establishment where you are expected to wear slacks as a man. Please be aware all items are "a la carte"

Rosalind Manning: Wonderful evening celebrating a special mom and daughter event. Not one thing could have been improved upon. Thank you for a great experience.

Steven Bazemore: Absolute perfection, outstanding service & sexy Ambience. Best steakhouse I’ve had so far pricey but great experience cost. It was worth every cent.
