Black Whiskey: what do users think?

Nicholas Miles: the selection of whiskeys is beyond amazing! and Joseph is an amazing! basically, the bar is amazing! lol

Jon Meyers: My favorite local bar here in Logan Circle. The selection of bourbons is second to none, (well, perhaps second to Jack Rose, but they do larger pours here at Black Whiskey). Great knowledgeable bar staff that can help you if you’re intimidated by the vast selection.

Laura Okpala: Bartenders refused to serve me for no reason - me and friends had just walked in and I was waiting quietly at the bar for my turn. They just refused to acknowledge I was there wile serving everyone around me. I suspect it’s because I look different from most of their clientele *cough* - Thanks to the preppy guy standing next to me for ordering my drinks for me because he also recognized how egregious they were being! Terrible bartenders definitely!

theDSsucks: Upstairs! Otherwise you end up at the gay bar. The 2 bartenders were both really nice, polite, and patient as I admired their whiskey menu. The whiskeys are a tad bit pricey but the 1oz option buffers the guilt of spending that much on some rare stuff I wanted to try. The good stuff is pricey so that’s not their fault. Industry standard. Thanks guys!
Response: Thank you for the kind words!

Matt Leaf: Don’t let the hole-in-the-wall feel fool you—this is a seriously amazing whiskey bar. The no frills, comfortable atmosphere sets the stage for what this place is about: seriously good whiskey. I highly recommend getting their Black Whiskey Manhattan. They blend the high end ingredients and age them together in oak casks. The result is an amazingly flavorful and unique cocktail you won’t find anywhere else.

N T-K: Very small but the vibe is large! The music was great and people seem to be having a great time! The music was loud enough so we could all hear. Loved that versus the other bars where tou hear more chatter than music. Also the bathrooms were really clean.

Saif Areikat: I’ve been there multiple times this summer. This place is very lively especially on Fridays and Saturdays. The staff is always making sure everyone is well and very courteous. A plate of goldfish on the house! Totally recommend 10/10

Blaine Chitwood: Awesome bar and as a bourbon connoisseur I anticipated coming here more than any bar in dc but the blonde door man said he would watch my blantons while I walked down to get a friend and he said I’m not your “drinks baby sitter bro”. Huge fan of the bar and had a $670+ bar tab but will not return because of this employee. I am truly saddened by this. 😪
Response: Sir, I'm sorry your experience was not exceptional. However, you may be misremembering what actually happened. You and your date tried to leave our bar with your drinks. This is a violation of our policy and DC law. Our Barback assumed you were leaving and bussed the glassware. In addition, there is no record of any transactions remotely close to to the amount you mentioned. Lastly, I know our ID checker to be a friendly and courteous young man who has never called anyone "bro". We would love to make it up to you on your next visit if you decide to give us another shot. We would also appreciate you removing this review as we generally enjoy 4 and 5 star ratings. Thank you

Alexandra Yeager: Would be a much better bar if they did not feel the need to play a bass in such a small space, at least four days a week. No one goes there for the base. It is a small bar with relatively good cocktails. But the noise and is unbearable. As a result you can’t Hear yourself think, never mind other people speak. I wish they would play music but no bass. Or even less loud music would be a major help.

Daniel Kirk-Hall: Great atmosphere and great selection of drinks, down side is some bad whitebpeopke dancing 😂 and I'm a white straight male from UK so that must say it all

Black Jack: what do users think?

Hanna Ozbeki: came here for happy hour and was not disappointed!! we got a side fries which were so good and it’s just what u imagine when u order fries - i feel like some places don’t put enough effort in their fries/are doing too much - and also ordered the oyster specials for the day which were sooo good. eddy was great at helping us choose the oysters and explaining the taste/origin! absolutely loved everything about blackjack!!

Redz Boss: I really had a good day time when I visited. The food was so good... And the frozen Pina colada was bomb!

m rivera: Never been here before, but definitely will return. They have all day happy hour on Sundays, which is nice to have. I stepped from the happy hour burger to the Dive Burger. And man! It was delicious. I really like the fries, it seemed like they added rosemary or some herb to give it a nice taste and it was crunchy. The bartender we had was very nice and attentive. Definitely likes his one earring and sense of style. It also a cool spot to hang with a group at the couch area. And the tables are set up to have pizza to share.

David Login: AVOID, bad customer service. Called multiple time to try and reserve tables for a birthday party a full month out. Management would just say they are busy and would call me back, however never would over a week long period. On the fourth time I called to speak to a manager and he blew me off. Basic customer service, and apparently making money, is not a priority for Black Jack.

Nick Marquardt: Large selection of whiskey and other spirits. Security and bar staff were very friendly.

Mark B: Who throws a Mardi Gras party until 10pm and closes? Are you attracting the over 70 crowd?

Jeff Palumbo: Yummy drinks. Over priced. Cool vibe. Decent atmo.

Rasta Biggz: Hand down best bar in the district! Argue with ya Mama!!!

Amy Hu: Yummy drinks and nice waiters. We were a decent sized group of girls who just took a corner booth in the back so we can laugh and giggle. However with it being a Tuesday night, the tables at the back were empty. With the booth out of sight of the bar, the waiter never checked up on us. Not a big deal as we can just go to the bar to order. We were there mainly to hang out and talk anyways so didn't need much service.

George Lindblad: Absolutely the most favorite happy hour in DC on Sundays. It's all day. Oysters, and all menu items are reduced price. Dive burger is heaven. All this in a dimly lit atmosphere is the best way to mentally prepare for the Monday ahead.

The Mirror: what do users think?

Squirrely: This a decent bar to grab a drink. I found it while looking for a good speakeasy. It's down a flight of stairs off street level and hidden behind a mirror. The drinks were good and generously portioned. The cocktail menu listed the same drinks you could find at nearly any bar in the area. I was really hoping to find some creative craft cocktails, but no such luck. The music was a bit loud to have a normal conversation and seating is limited.

Melissa Escudero: This place has the best vibes! Absolutely love the drinks every time we come. The seating is very comfortable and the lighting set a great tone. The bartenders are super nice. We came right after getting engaged and they even gave us all free shots. Cant complain at all!

JDV22: Drinks were pretty poorly mixed. If you’re looking for a neat place with loud music to just kind of vibe, it’s perfect. If you’re looking for well made cocktails, I’d recommend going somewhere else.

Richa Bhatt: This place was really cool in terms of finding it and the atmosphere but other then that it was meh. The whole bar was super dark and it was hard to see anything. The drinks were incredibly mediocre and so was everything else like the bathroom- the bathroom I used had no lock so I had to hold the bathroom stall door while using it. So yeah, besides going to a place that’s behind a mirror, there’s no other pull. It’s a very mediocre place and it is priced like it’s something nicer which is stupid. I would only come back if I had to like I wouldn’t make plans out of my way to go here.

Parker Kelley: We went here after a DMV friends event on a Friday night ! It was very packed & due to the space being very small it was hard to move around. The bartenders were busy & took forever to get a drink. The idea behind the bar is neat and interesting but wasn’t worth my time!

Rodger Brown: Mirror is awesome. A very exclusive feel (as speakeasy's should be), drinks that make your mouth water, and an ambiance that'll tickle your fancy. Great seating and friendly bar staff. Super fan of the entrance.

Austin Graff: The Mirror proves that Washington, D.C. is more than suits. Located three blocks from the White House, The Mirror is a true speakeasy in downtown D.C. When you arrive, walk down a sterile staircase and open the door to a hallway with a single mirror. Push the mirror and enter a whole new world. Here's why you should go: 1) Vibe: Dimly-lit and spacious, The Mirror is one of the truest speakeasies in Washington, D.C. There's bar seating and more comfy seating throughout the space. 2) Drinks: Their cocktail list is strong and they make them quality. It's also more inexpensive compared to other bars in the city, especially downtown. When I went pre-pandemic, they had Snackables on the menu for light bites, solidifying this place as the best!

Zach Yoder: If you’re looking for a speak easy that fits the traditional role of one, this one barely fits the bill. The only thing that this place has similar to other speak easy’s is that it has a hidden entrance. The music is way too loud and the lights are way too dim. This is essentially a club with a fancy entrance.

Paris Scott: The Mirror, I'm theory, is a lovely establishment. Unfortunately, its staff, rather than accepting a humble blessing, often opts for a presumptuous mentality that leaves much to be desired. I miss when this place was a no-nothing event space that was desperate for patrons because what it has become is no longer "it". Having visited a number of times I can confidentially say that for whatever reason the bulk of individuals who work here are pompous a**holes. If you're a man, you might be in luck. But, if you are a woman with a personality, money, and a job - I caution you before making any conversation with the staff that isn't "may I have a [insert drink here]" because you'll get mansplained out this bar faster than you can say "are you kidding me".

Anthony Withum: Fun speakeasy if you know how to get in.The mixologists know what they are doing behind the bar. Very very dimly lit and no flashlights allowed. Relatively small but hasnt been too crowded when I've gone. Worth checking out and taking friends to but not a destination I would say

Left Door: what do users think?

Austin Graff: On Black Cat music nights, a line from 14th Street NW down S Street NW hides an easy-to-miss door. Walk up the stairs and you're in a small, cozy cocktail bar with a long bar and several small tables. My buddy and I went on a Tuesday evening around 8:30 p.m. and easily found spots at the bar. Here's our experience: 1) Cocktails: The menu is diverse with a wide range of more stiff drinks to more sweet. They also combine flavors like pineapple and fernet to create unique cocktails. Of course, there's a bartender's choice option too. I ordered the Maiden Lane and it came in a tall glass. It was a little sweet and full of interesting flavors. My friend ordered the Pineapple Fernet Daiquiri and enjoyed the combo of pineapple and fernet. 2) Price: Cocktails are a little more steep compared to other spots- $18 per cocktail. 3) Service: When we first entered, it was a jarring experience. The bartender sternly asked us how many in our party. He abrasively sat us down, slammed a half empty bottle of water in front of us and then ignored us for twenty minutes. When he finally came back, we were too scared to order a bartender's choice. Then we realized he was the only bartender trying to serve every patron. He was focused on making quality cocktails fast. When two other bartenders finally showed up, he relaxed. In hindsight, he managed the situation well as it was clear his colleagues were super late for their shift. 4) Location: Just off 14th Street NW, there are many restaurants, bars, shops and an Amazon Fresh nearby. Because of this, parking can be hard to find, but we usually find a spot along Johnson Ave NW and S Street NW.

Beck Vissat: This place used to be much, much better. The cocktail menu isn't enticing in the least. I've had a decent amount of the options and they really aren't anything special. For $17/$18 a pop, it's basically highway robbery. I asked a bartender to make me a cocktail not on the menu and he made up some excuse saying he didn't have an ingredient that's not even in the drink. Better cocktails, better pricing, staff that isn't rude and they'll be back to the Left Door of years ago.

Alex L: I feel bad leaving a less than glowing review because the bartenders and other workers were so nice! Unfortunately, the drinks are not craft cocktails at all. It honestly tasted like booze and simple syrup, that's it. For $18 a pop. Different type of booze was about the only variation between the drinks. We tried a French 75 and it was warm, flat champagne, couldn't taste the gin, and served in an odd glass I've never seen a French 75 served in. Not worth the very expensive prices. Also the place has the look of a speak easy bar, but they're blasting very loud music that doesn't fit the vibe at all. I wouldn't go back.

Franklyn Z: Went here 3 years ago and had a blast with their inventive cocktails. But coming back now the drinks were not that interesting and they were overpriced. Service was great but maybe hopefully can have more creative drinks in the future.

byron subero: Nice bar with friendly and knowledgeable bartenders.

Mathew Crichton: Amazing cocktails, cool bartenders, and some of the bar music on 14th St! Definitely one of my favorite places to go for a drink.

Jerome Smalls: A speakeasy’s speakeasy. Ambiguous name. No website. Sketchy entryway. But a truly dope lowkey vibe. The “Grey Manhattan” will change your life.

Eric Erwin: Drinks were honestly one of the best I ever had...the Gin Pahit was unreal!!!!! Bartender was meh on service, but still worth going for a drink

Bernard Després: Absolutely amazing! The bartenders are really good at their jobs, they'll make you a cocktail to your heats desire! I have to day they hit a perfect mark everywhere!

Evelyn Allen: Visited the bar this last weekend for some after dinner drinks. All of the bartenders took turns coming out on the floor to make sure my date and I had a good time. The bar manager (?) seemed like such a super cool dude and even sat down with us during our stay. It was great because he was teaching us all kinds of booze history and talked about the culture during the pandemic. Just in General I loved that extra attention because I like to know things and it didn't seem like my questions annoyed him.. Just like any bar I am so glad they survived the shut down, but it kind of feels like left door never stopped but took a step forward during all of this with top notch customer service and quality cocktails. I'll be back!

Morris American Bar: what do users think?

Martin Schmidt: nice atmosphere, slightly too much air-con , or we as European are not use it ?.. We ordered 2 espresso martini, they were average, So much vodka , and coffee was not strong enough. For my taste But their original cocktail were Bom !!! Jamaican twist on Manhattan super tasty . La Reina was soooo good , if you live tequila try this . Overall i would definitely go back
Response: Hi Martin! We are ecstatic to hear you found us all the way from Europe-- it was our pleasure having you! Thank you for taking the time to try our selection of cocktails and for this detailed review (we know a cocktail connoisseur when we meet one)! Looking forward to seeing you in the future !

Bradley Popkin: Swanky and cozy bar with two floors. Spent some time here with family and friends. Great cocktail selection and service. We were greeted quickly and everyone was friendly. I really appreciated the full-size Johnnie Walker figure outside lol.

Neil Patel: The staff are super friendly and accommodating. We ordered off the menu and were pleasantly surprised at how much we liked our drinks. The mocktails and zero proof drinks were great too!
Response: Neil, thank you for your review! We're glad to hear that you had a great experience and we hope to see you again soon!

Andrea Martin: Good drinks, good service. It’s across the street from where Google currently shows. Has an outdoor patio that feels much different than the indoor vibe
Response: We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your experience with Morris! Thank you for this great review!

Nirupa P: Good experience. We did the Halloween special & the drinks were good. We both got 3 drinks each & they were great. Our favorite was Noche de sueno & dia de muertos. Food menu were also limited. We got the devil eggs & they were good.

Jeff Wilson: All of the staff (especially Rhine and Rita) are absolutely amazing. I'd previously rated Morris 4 stars several years ago but they've definitely earned all 5. Fabulous cocktails, they can make anything you're feeling in the mood for. Always be on the look out for their special events, especially when they do Filipino food.
Response: Thank you for your kind words and 5-star review, Jeff! Looking forward to seeing you back with us in the future!

Rachel Lipton: The space was thoughtfully designed with a great bar but the drinks were a bit of a letdown - certainly not bad but I was expecting something a touch more exciting (I know they rotate monthly so I’ll be back to try some new ones soon) The vibe was also a touch quiet/empty which was a bit of a bummer since we were celebrating but perhaps it would have been better if we were there earlier or later

Adam Pusateri: Morris is without a doubt an absolute gem of a cocktail bar and my personal favorite. The bartenders are not only inventive but also thoroughly well-versed in classics and contemporary drinks. You can tell the whole team is proud of their bar, and it really shows. The seasonal menu is their own impressive creation, but make no mistake, they gladly take requests and offer new suggestions. Inside is a time capsule of a classic bar. The colors, décor, lighting, music – it is the perfect place for relaxing drinks. Outside is shaded and casual, exactly what you want for a group of friends. Other bars even the often lauded “Bests in DC” have fallen short of what Morris is consistently doing here in terms of quality, knowledge, skill, and service. You get way more than what you pay for here. As amazing as it all is, it is not at all stuffy. Everybody is friendly, easygoing, and enjoys what they are doing. This review is long overdue and could not be more well deserved. Morris often surprises, never disappoints, and after all their extra hard work during the pandemic, I cannot wait to sit at the actual bar again. Until then, cheers!
Response: Thank you so much Adam! So glad you enjoyed your experience.

byron subero: ..... my friends are the worst. They keep sending me places to go to. This was a nice spot. Drinks and the bartender was on point. Ask for Rita. She's a mixologist
Response: Hi Byron, sorry about your friends, but glad you discovered Morris!

Mohan Sun: Our favorite cocktail joint in town! The drinks are top-notch and reasonably-priced. We’ve been to other “good” places that charged $16 for a to-go cup. Morris beats that in so many aspects and it never disappoints. Everyone works there are super nice and knowledgeable. Doug, Ian and Rhine are skillful bartenders who can fix you up with almost any requests. They usually have seasonal cocktail menus and recently added low & non-alcohol drinks which is perfect for a person like me who can’t drink too much. I got Strawberry Kitty last time and it’s sooo good! If you want something refreshing, you NEED to get it! Please support their business. They work hard to stay afloat while continue to innovate great drinks during this difficult time.
Response: Thank you for your review and your support Mohan!

Tilt: what do users think?

Alexandra Logsdon: We hosted our Wedding Welcome Party at Tilt Side Bar and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Tammy, the event manager, was so easy to work with and helped us build a great menu for our guests. The bartenders handled our group of 50 with ease and the drinks did not stay empty for long! Truly cannot recommend Tilt and the Pearl Dive team more for a private event!

Korrie Koko: Reminds me of trendy speakeasies up in NYC. Cocktails made the right way too. Fresh fruit garnishes ready at hand, shaken cocktails strained, sphere ice cubes for on the rocks drinks. The quirky decor photographs well with the nostalgia filter. The well lit bar/restaurant on the bottom floor hosts chill conversation/catching up nights with close friends well. The upper floor of course caters to the party/dancing DC night life. Wander off further to the back and you find yourself a nice gameroom-esque surprise.

Charlie G: Great decor and seating, the playlist was fun and would make anyone want to get up and dance, and the cocktails were on point. This is a hidden gem of the DC bar scene.

Juan: The 80s decor of the bar makes it feel really trendy and hipster. The cocktails were really well made and on par with other speak easy' in the area.

Alexander Ramsey: Had Mussles, Fried Chicken, a Burger, and cocktails. If I had to choose where to eat for my last meal, it would be here. Awesome service, atmosphere, and food. I'll be back.

Will W.: It is chill bar with a cool vibe. A little on the small and narrow side but still nice. Not too crazy yet not too quiet which would be boring (in my opinion).

Phil T.: Cool concept and feel. But why did you get rid of the games?!?!?!?!? Should jave skeet shoot or ski ball somewhere in there....

Minoru kishimoto: Nice

Michael Smith: Great drinks. Great service.

Round Robin Bar: what do users think?

Caitlin Cordova: The Round Robin Bar is the perfect place to have a cocktail during the holidays when you’re downtown to see the National Christmas Tree. Located inside the Willard Hotel, which is a work of art in itself, the circular Bar serves cocktails and a full menu of classic options. Cocktails ~$20 apiece. Happy hour is crowded, but there are plenty of standing options around the bar itself, and additional seating options in the hallway of the hotel’s lobby. Our bar table service was quick and efficient. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Ray Hendrick: Friendly service. Great drinks. Awesome history. A perfect place for after dinner drinks during your visit to DC. Try the Mint Julep or the Bee's Knees.

Annie Wilson: Attentive service, beautiful warm atmosphere and classic drinks - a delicious experience. The mint julep is spectacular, not fussy, and the staff are cheerful, knowledgeable and enjoyable to watch keeping bar. We went here to celebrate an occasion but we also went to see the national Christmas tree - great location for this. The historical aspects of the bar make a great addition to the experience.

Sue D: Every evening I've ever spent here has been epic. This past time, we got to know half the bar (as per usual here), and there was a great jazz trio playing Christmas music in the lobby. The Willard has the prettiest Christmas decorations in town every year. If you have company coming in from out of town (any time of year), be sure to bring them here. Don't miss the room at the top of the long red staircase that tells about the history of The Willard. MLK Jr finished his "I Have a Dream" speech here.

Paul Terry Services Lawn Care & Landscaping: Christina and her staff are - in a word - AMAZING. Kind, caring and beyond gracious. Special requests are a not a problem for this crew. For the most unique and special celebration, look no further. Grateful for this staff.

Hue Tran: Went to the place for a drink and dessert. Service was horrible. I was eating on my dessert and the lady walking passed my table and just grabbed my dessert plate without saying anything, none of the " are you done with this? Or can I take this? Was happened.

Alex Holston: Fantastic. In the 1800’s Henry Clay brought the Mint Julep to Washington DC featuring it at this bar. Rich in history they still make this favorite May drink the same way. Makers Mark. Rose Simple Syrup. Muddle mint. Crushed ice. Our bar tender was fantastic. One of the best. We will return.

Patsy Agpalza: The Round Robin Bar at the Willard Hotel in D.C. is quickly becoming a favorite spot to have a drink and soak up the atmosphere. The Cedar Plank Roasted Salmon is absolutely delicious. I have ordered it twice now and have been very happy each time. The Bartender, Elias has worked there for 30 years and is absolutely phenomenal. Ask him to make you any drink and you will not be disappointed.

Matthew: A classy bar in a historic hotel only steps away from where Ulysses S Grant coined the terms lobbyists. Great bartenders who know how to serve a proper glass of whiskey.

Joey Emmitte: An amazing topshelf selection! And you can't beat the amount of history in this quaint bar.

Denson Liquor Bar: what do users think?

Linda L: It definitely passes the vibe check. The decor and dark wooden accents coupled with the dim lighting and rows of glistening bottles of liquor are just 👌🏼 The foods they offer are perfect for a quick bite and a drink. No complaints about their vast drink selection, and I've only tried their grilled cheese and caviar bites which were great. It's simple but flavorful. I did see they offer a few small desserts that I can't wait to try next time.

TexCat: Wanted to stop into a bar after a night tour of DC before heading back to our Airbnb. Happened upon Denson Liquor Bar - mightily glad we did! What a great little hidden gem! Friendly, personable staff, great drinks and service. Awesome cozy ambiance. Highly recommend

Benjamin G: Was visiting DC and wanted somewhere for after dinner drinks on a Friday night. Found this place. A little hidden but worth the walk down. Cool atmosphere, nice vibe and mix of people. The bartenders were great. They both make a mean old fashioned! True mixologists.

James B: The cocktails are spot on here and reasonably priced for the area. Cool aesthetic, felt like a a hot spot bar you'd find in NYC. I didn't try and food though

Val: Unfortunately, the prices and the way everyone acts here does not match the quality of food and drinks. I'd come here for the swanky dark atmosphere, order a drink or two, then move on for food and other drinks.

Austin Shaheen: Excellent service and the place has a really cool vibe! My fiancé and I were here on a Saturday evening for her birthday and they treated us to a complimentary champagne, very nice touch. We’ll definitely be back and recommend our friends visit here

Khoi Nguyen: Great small speak easy with awesome drinks. Staff is so friendly and very talented bartenders. Place is really dark but easy to navigate around. Food wise the oysters, fries, cheese board and pretzel are a must order bar type food. Drinks everything that has whiskey order here because it's delicious

Dane Fergusson: MUST GO! Walk down the stairs to step back in time to the speakeasy era. Just the setting is worth the trip; but, the drinks are incredible. Add to this the world class bartender Dinesha. Yeah, I said it. World Class! Excellent drinks, suggestions for other drinks, great conversation, asking our preferences to tweak to our tastes, made us feel like we were her only customers... and oh yeah the place got slammed with an overflow crowd... to busy now? No way! She still had time for hugs and pictures, before we left!
Response: Thanks Dane, you rock! All the staff thought you two were great and we all love Denisha too. She's fantastic. Come back and see us soon!

Matt Noble: What a great spot this is! Very old school and dim lighting, as if you are back in time at a speak easy. Drinks were all great and so was the music. If we are ever in DC again we will be sure to come back to Denson! Highly recommend to stop in for a drink if you haven’t already!

Brendan F: There is something about walking into a below street level bar that brings a feeling of vintage nostaligia. The staff is filled with smiles, conversation and great drink ideas and the food is unique and delicious. It does get crowded but that should tell you about the quality of the place. Definitely worth a visit.

the Gibson: what do users think?

Leo Liu: A very very cute speakeasy. Our server Dwayne was most friendly and offered to help us take our one year anniversary picture. Ordered two rounds of drinks and was very satisfied with the dealer's choice.

Jeff Schwamb: A brilliant speak-easy with bartenders that truly take their craft seriously. The custom mezcal drink was spot on the lighting and atmosphere promoted an escape from the outside world.

A V: Definitely a 4 star experience, not more. Clean, with a nice atmosphere ( music selection was not speakeasy.. more hip hop), and the staff was very nice. However, drinks were not impressive for the price paid. Also, they should describe the drinks better, especially if they have an online menu. Went to 600t on the same night and much better experience

Ian Patrick: Such a fun place! It's super hidden, and I've probably walked past it a dozen times and never realized it was there. The outside is really discreet. The inside is incredibly classy, and the drinks are really unique. I enjoyed all of the drinks I tried, and our waiter was incredibly helpful explaining all of the unique ingredients and the flavors we could expect. He was super helpful helping us decide from so many great options.

byron subero: So my new thing is trying to go to all the speakeasy in the DMV. 6 down many to go. Gibson has a relaxing vibe with a indoor and outdoor seating.

2luvis2live: This place is so discreet. Once inside, you are totally removed from outside and embraced by the atmosphere which was chill and laid back. Everyone was cool and down to earth. Our bartender was so warm and friendly (Enjoy your upcoming birthday in August Leo). I would definitely visit again. Thanks for a great time.

Paige Sheats: This is one of my go to places. I love the vibe and it’s very speakeasy-ish! I also can’t say enough good things about the cocktails! They’re not only delicious but also very unique based on other speakeasies and bars around town! The only negative is it’s hard to get a table if you’re just trying to walk in, so book a reservation in advance.

James Lee: Great drinks and beautiful interior. I also recommend ordering your own and letting the bartender be creative. The bar is currently closed (tables only) and service was a bit slow when I went, but still had a good time.

Emily Park: Speakeasy with seasonal craft cocktails. You can sit at the bar, the booths, the tables, or at the patio. The music wasn't too loud, but it can be a little loud when it's crowded. The candle-lit atmosphere adds to the speakeasy vibes. There are two unisex bathroom stalls that are pretty clean.

Maya Bryant: This speakeasy was tucked away off of U street. The drinks were okay, but the vibe was everything. Very fun for a chill night. Make sure you have a reservation.

Never Looked Better: what do users think?

J. W.: I was referred to this place and honestly I have no regrets about going. This cocktail bar has a very exclusive, underground, chic appeal. The bartenders are amazing, the drinks are visually pleasing and strong in all the right ways without it taking from the flavor and the staff is actually friendly. This made birthday a very memorable experience. Thank you Jay Moss for the drinks and Crystal for the conversation loved the vibe.

Arielle H: OMG Foodies, I had my first speakeasy experience this weekend and let me tell you how freakin AMAZING it was ✨🥂 I set my sights on @neverlookedbetterdc, a cocktail bar located in NW DC 📍. Though they don’t offer food, the drinks are made just right, the atmosphere is ‼️, & there’s plenty of diners and restaurants within walking distance (because who doesn’t get the munchies after drowning in cocktails 😅🙈🍽). Staff: 10/10 Drinks: 10/10 - worth every penny ! & the spicy margarita 🏽🌶❤️ Bathroom: I was too busy drinking, forgive me 😅

Logan Gore: What a cool speak easy! Fun to enter in through an alley, then leave a completely different way! The vibe inside is awesome! Staff and bartenders are nice, music was poppin, seats and standing room available. Cocktails and mocktails were good!

Maeline Yang: A true speakeasy - the venue limits the number of people so it doesn't feel too club-like. The music was a good mix of dance and chill. The drinks were also unique and the bartenders were generous with their pours.

Steven Munnelly: Solid speakeasy feel while being accessible by the public. Stopped in for happy hour. Sure, drinks are pricey but it’s a fun and different experience. The bartender there is a great guy, knowledgeable about his liquors, and interesting to chat with when it’s not super busy. Overall pretty pleased with this place—would have expected slightly higher tier for the prices but still cool given the ambiance.

S. Locke: Child! I didn’t even know this gem existed. I got there around 12:30 AM on a Friday night. Apparently I missed a line—gladly. Because I got there so late in the night, if you aren’t watchful you will miss the address on the door in the alleyway and pass by the door. It’s in the middle of all the doors in the alley. The bartenders were awesome. Also, if you are looking for a boo, he, she, they may be there. Everyone was fine as hell in that place! Lol!

Vaaruni Eashwar: Took a minute to find the door, as it should with any good speakeasy! Loved the vibe, good music (though it got a bit loud at some point), great cocktails - the spicy margarita was 👌And Kit at the bar was awesome - fun personality, very engaging while they made our drinks! Definitely coming back!

byron subero: I don't own the rights to this music. Went to a speak easy bar and must say had a good time. Laid back vibe, good upbeat music and drinks was delicious.... the black light hitting the paper planes...... magic🤣🤣

Parker Kelley: Super cool & interesting place! The entrance was a little sketchy.. no signage and through a weird alley but the inside was very welcoming & the aesthetic was worth it! The drinks are a little on the expensive side but the service was great! The music is decent & plenty of space. All tables were revered when we went so if you have group of 3 or more I would check into reserving a table.

Ciara McAllister: Never looked better is such a vibe. The decor is aesthetically pleasing and the bar tenders are so sweet. Will definitely be coming back!

Silver Lyan: what do users think?

Marissa P: Extremely well priced cocktails for this area and the caliber of the drinks/service. You can go to a dive bar down the street and still be paying $14 for a drink out of a plastic cup! The ambience is lowlight speakeasy style, perfect for a date night. Bases loaded was the best we tried, the cherry float was delicious! I’m not even much of a whiskey fan either. If you’re a fan of good service and attention to detail, Silver Lyan should be on your list.

Caleb Trantham: Massive thanks to Alex for a great service experience, this place is absolute mixology heaven. The drinks are all very tasty, the jello shots are super flavorful, personal favorite goes to the fisherman punch with its blend of rums. would highly highly recommend this bar, very worth the price it's just a cut above so many other venues and the speakeasy vibes and great playlist all add to the experience. If you're in the DC area be sure to stop by for an after-dinner drink, you won't regret it.

Rebecca Carmeli-Peslak: worth every penny. such a cool classy experience. the staff is all amazing and goes out of their way to help you pick the perfect drinks for your celebration. we really enjoyed the fruit jell-o shots project apollo champagne espresso martinis and french martini. my party and i will definitely be returning soon! bonus they have a giant gumball machine

Ryley Thompson: Modern space with an interesting vibe in the basement of the St. Riggs. The cocktails are unique, which honestly is hard to do these days. Prices were fine but higher than average If that matters to you. Very friendly staff was a highlight. Definitely worth a stop on your DC cocktail adventure.

Barry Downs (FABS): Great place .to have night cap. Great soft low light mood. Sitting.in a old bank vault can't get Sexy cool and fun.. Good for everything from a business meeting, date or group.of friends. .drink menu was excellent. Jello shots and champagne 🍾 were a HIT. But lots to choose from. Also.offered up some PEI Oysters. Service was great. Price.point $$$$.

Natalia P: Best cocktail bar in DC. Service was quick and everyone was friendly. Chairs were cute and comfortable. Definitely will be back next time I’m in the area.

Hillary Severson: Great spot! We have been to Riggs Cafe before and had no idea this was in the basement. It is definitely speakeasy- esque ... the vibes are great and the drinks are impressive. They even gave us free champagne for my boyfriend's birthday. 10/10 recommend!

Blvknative: Nice underground world to step into inside the Riggs, a bunch of different drinks curated perfectly with every drink. The ambience of the place is to die for. Great way to end your night!

Briana H.: After mistaking Silver Lyan for another bar in the area, I can honestly say it was a happy accident and this might become one of my go-to spots from now on. The velvet seating and subtle mood lighting give you a sultry vibe and encourage you to stay a while. The cocktails were really well done and the service was incredible (welcoming, knowledgable, personable). I'll definitely be back!

byron subero: Nice spot to grab a drink and relax. Very crowded cause they had special guests from NYC for the cherry festival but definitely will go back......aaaaand I went back

The Crown & Crow: what do users think?

M planetmike: Decorated a bit like a bar from Harry Potter's world, this bar is both cozy and spacious. Hook and the rest of the staff were awesome. Even for a Tuesday night, it was surprisingly busy. This is a bar. Food can be brought in. There is a small stage with a large screen where events are televised or can be used for karaoke nights. Thankfully, this bar minimizes the use of televisions, which are unneeded distractions. This is conveniently located near Thomas Circle and at the Southern end of the 14th Street scene.
Response: You can always count on us for a good time. Hope to have you back for another round sometime soon! -Cheers, The Crown & Crow

Christopher Yuen: I was in town for a business meeting and I took a few friends out to this bar on a whim and we had a blast! The bartenders were friendly and the drinks were unique and delicious! I had so much fun I ended up leaving my blazer at the bar. I called the manager Graham a few days later and he mailed it back to me all the way to Connecticut. He’s awesome and this place is too!!!!!
Response: Thanks Christopher, it's our pleasure to host you and your friends!

Melissa Hough: This might be my perfect bar. So warm and cozy, the staff is incredible, the drinks are good. It's never been packed (at least on a weekday night) which makes me feel better about the VID. I'd been here a few times before but last night went for the first time on my Dry January stint and they were awesome. Bartender made a tasty mocktail AND they have non-alcoholic beer! So glad I found this gem.
Response: We're thrilled to be your perfect bar, Melissa. You can always count on us for tasty drinks, even during Dry January! We hope you'll be back to see us again for round two sometime soon. -Cheers, The Crown & Crow

Chablis owens: It's the best bar in the city. The owner is an incredible person and if you get the chance to be served by him your night is going to be a thousand times better than you thought it would be. It is legitimately the best experience at a bar in DC you can possibly find. And it's not even a strip club. That's rare.
Response: Thanks for coming by, you rock and were lucky to have guests like you!

Annie: Cool bar with a chill vibe. Came here on a Monday night at 630 and there were only 2 other groups. Not the typical DC bar. There are a few tables and the bar to sit at. The cucumber mule was really good!
Response: You can always count on us for good vibes and great drinks, Annie. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your cucumber mule. Come back and see us for more cocktails in the future! -Cheers, The Crown & Crow

Noah Wahquahboshkuk: Aesthetically pleasing atmosphere and 2 sides to choose for your pleasure. The first side is more of an elbow-to-elbow-packed environment with loud music. The second side is a more relaxed spread out environment to hold more intimate conversations with friends. Being new to the area, ordering a beverage similar to the drink of preference (Weiser) was difficult due to the unfriendly bartenders. Kinda gave me the you-don't-belong-here vibe. The suggested brew was not the best, but the gin and tonic was great! Bathrooms clean as well as the main areas. Would come back and maybe study up on what is offered on tap.
Response: You can always expect good vibes from our place, Noah. We’d never want you to feel like you don’t belong here, and we’re sorry if that was the case. Next time you swing by, we’ll make sure to find you a brew you’ll love. Hope to see you back soon so we can impress you with our friendly service and unique tap selection. -Cheers, The Crown & Crow

David Benjamin: Booked a private event in their larger bar area and cannot say enough good things about Lindsay and the team as well as the space. The drinks were great, we received numerous compliments from our guests on the venue, and Lindsay was a huge help planning the whole thing. By far the best, most professional experience I've had booking an event space/bar in the DMV!
Response: We’re so happy you enjoyed your experience. We look forward to seeing you again. Thank you so much for the kind words.

Corey Nolan: Always have a great time in this nostalgic Bar. Brian "Bar Man" has done an outstanding job building his dream. Staff is super friendly and they have stepped up their cocktail game since I last visited. Glad I was able to ring in 2022 in such good company! Thanks C&C team! Stay safe!
Response: We're glad to hear you always have a great time with us, Corey. Our friendly staff is always here to take care of you and treat you to a cocktail. We hope you'll be back to celebrate with us sometime soon. -Cheers, The Crown & Crow

Adriana Cortés-Buelvas: I absolutely love the Crown and Crow. Great cocktails and a huge offer on drinks. Great indie rock music, feels like an Irish experience.Graham is the nicest!
Response: You can always count on us to show you a good time, Adriana! We're happy to hear you enjoyed your cocktails and the music. Hope to have you back again sometime soon! -Cheers, The Crown & Crow

Adam Adam: I went there for the first time last night I had the worst bartender in town. First he didn't even greet me or anything he walked up to me and asked me very rudely what do you wanna drink didn't, but I seen him greeting other guest properly so if I had to guess it might have to do with the fact I have an accent. I wasn't very familiar with the beers so asked him what's the lighter beer you have he laughs and said Guinness. I never been treated this way in this city.
Response: Adam, very sorry you had that experience, The Crown and Crow's staff represents cultures from 3 continents. One of our core values is that "everyone is invited to the party." I'm Brian, the owner/manager and I bartend on Fridays, please come by and let me buy you a drink and show you the hospitality that we are known for.

Lost & Found DC: what do users think?

Fred Acheampong: Good selection of beer and liquor, reasonable prices, and fast bartenders. There are several tables with high chairs and a decent bit of standing room. There's also an outdoor area in the back if you prefer the fresh air. They have a few TV's mounted behind the bar and were showing a mix of sports and news.

seanjohn Thomas: Nice Venue ... Boring atmosphere .... Boring beer ... Bartender does not even know what they are serving from craft beer menu ... COVID Claimed.anothe business ... Sad

Omar S: Stopped in on a recent Sunday... Got zero acknowledgement from bartender, nothing. Left after 10 mins. Went across the street to Tallboy's where the staff were more functional. Wasn't particularly busy nor closing time, and it's a small service area at night. Whether bartender was exhausted, bigoted, or on too many substances, they need to try harder (at all). Two stars only because it's a lovely space and convenient to metro.

Siran Skill: As Belgian road tripping through the USA, I've got to admit that the Lost and Found is (for now at least) the place I've the most enjoyed with the best beers for a good price! So thank to them to be there!

Robert Jacoby: Underwhelming bar...even though the drink list looks pretty good. Loud bar, somewhat divey. I was definitely served the wrong beer, although didn’t have time to question it because the bartenders are very inattentive. Had high hopes for this one because it looked cool from the outside, but they fell short. (Not going for lower than 3 stars because if you like the divey, loud scene, you may have a different opinion.)

Edward Grandi: I was there for professional reasons, but looks like the perfect place for an after work drink or a break from the convention center. Can't wait to go there in the future.

Denis Blondeel: Good bar, friendly people. Only bar we returned twice during our stay in DC

Dan Glish: Hey I don't see my review anymore but just want to remind everyone to go to a different business other than this one. THIS ONE REQUIRES VAXX CARDS, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS UNCONSTITUTIONAL BUSINESS!!

Manuel Valverde: Great place to hang out, spacious with an outdoor area.

B Josie: My boyfriend went to Lost and Found on Saturday afternoon before I went back with him the next day. He sat out front. He was smoking a cigar while they served him a drink. If it was not allowed, he would’ve understood but clearly this was okay. So, I tagged along with him the next day. We sat out front smoking cigars as we watched several other people sit at tables smoking cigarettes. They were not patrons. Someone from the bar walked over to us 30 minutes later, letting us know we can’t smoke here. It’s not allowed. It was clearly allowed for the OTHER people that had been smoking but we were told something different I guess. I explained to him we wouldn’t even be here if my boyfriend was told the day before that it wasn’t allowed. He never did give me a response when I asked why it wasn’t a bother for the waiter the day before -_-. I wasn’t trying to step on anyone’s toes but I had to explain how there had been several people smoking here before us that have an affiliation with the art gallery next door. The security guard who works at the art gallery even told us it has NEVER been an issue. And he’s been working there long enough to know that. Clearly it just wasn’t okay for US since we weren’t white. I would never come here again and I’ll let everyone else know not too as well.
Response: Thank you for your review. We do have a non-smoking policy on our patios, but as owners we take responsibility for not communicating this effectively enough to our staff. We apologize for the inconvenience and that you had a negative experience at our bar. We hope you'll give us another chance in the future.

Board Room: what do users think?

Emilie Buck: This was such a great find! My girlfriend and I were walking around DuPont Circle and stepped in to Board Room. There are two floors inside with ample seating. They don't serve food, but they have a discount with the pizza company nearby or you can bring in food from outside. There were a bunch of games to choose from, covering all genres, amount of players, and skill level. The bar also seemed well stocked, and the bartender on duty seemed nice. I'd definitely go again.

Abdul Kader Surti: I absolutely love board games and this place has an amazing collection of games. The drinks are great and they make a mean spiked hot cocoa! I wish there were some snacks to munch on, other great place to hang with friends

Ciara B: Margarita pizza was disgusting. Came out lukewarm (barely that). No taste and just a real disappointment. Do not order. Atmosphere is nice and they have a large selection of board games

Samantha: So much fun to grab a few friends and shake off the workday here. Their happy hour deals are insanely good, especially for DC. $4 rail drinks & $4 drafts. Games are free to rent during happy hour, too! Loved the bartender.

Kyle Goodman: An amazing place to hang out! Board game selection is excellent, drinks are tasty and the atmosphere is just what you're looking for. We have visited DC twice in the last couple months and this has become our go to spot. You know you're in the right place when they play Jeopardy! on the TV.

Helen Michie: Attractively decorated Dupont Circle bar and young adult hang out spot in a very trendy DC neighborhood. Great place to have a party. Has unisex bathrooms.

Jeff Corcelius: Good drinks, awesome courteous staff! Go play, drink, and have fun!

Cimmanon K: Went here right after going to a sushi bar, and boy did it scratch the right itch for game night lol. I wasnt told about this place, as bringing me there was a surprise, but the miniature golf, the drinks, and the company were all wonderful. Great staff there too!

Andriana Genualdi: Great bar for chill hanging out with friends. I went there recently in the late afternoon to play some board games with a couple of friends and we had a great time. We ended up sitting at the small round high top tables that’re near the bar, there was enough room for card games and battleship but I suggest if you have more than 2 people you pick a larger table so you don’t have to worry about losing pieces onto the floor. My friends seemed to enjoy the beer selection and I opted for a glass of house wine on happy hour

Lucius Domitius Aurelianus (Augustus): Good selection of drinks and games to play, its also possibleto hear each other in most parts of the time. Only problem you'll run into is the lack of seating!

barmini by José Andrés: what do users think?

Mark Blanchard: Cute and private looking place with only a handful of tables. Great decoration. We got the flight of drinks - amazing experience. It's 5 drinks per person, and most of them are prepared table side and involve smoke, liquid nitrogen, and other cool ways of making drinks. We also ordered several appetizers. Great presentation but a little too fancy for my taste.

Natalie Caldwell: We were in DC for the weekend, looking for a place to get drinks before our later dinner reservation. There is a reason barmini has the reputation it does, and our experience was more than we could have hoped for. The attention to detail was both expected and impressive - the care and perfection that went into each crafted concoction was amazing. We described to our waiter what our flavor profiles were and he made us both personalized (and perfect) cocktails. We topped off our before dinner drinks with the brioche. *Chefs kiss* and that butter…I’d eat a whole loaf. Can’t wait for the chance to come back.

Elliott Temkin: Delightful bar experience! They were kind enough to be able to fit us in without a reservation even when they were fully booked on a Saturday night (though they turned many folks after us away, so I wouldn't count on getting in that way). Tried six drinks between us and they were all excellent. Creative. Balanced. Flavorful. They even gave us a sample of the peanut rum they produce in house and it was divine. Had a couple small bites (grilled cheese and wagyu tartare) and they were exceptional too. Well worth a visit!

Kennith “Conley” Coleman: We were able to enjoy the cocktail flight. The experience was amazing and all the cocktails were so delicious. The service was excellent. We also tried the grilled cheese appetizer and it was beyond good.

Triloka Shanbhag: For those of you wondering if the long waitlist and tough-to-get-in reservation system renders this place worth going to or not, I’m here to tell you it is utterly and absolutely worth the wait. The experience of being at Barmini and having their cocktail flight is unparalleled. From the sophisticated palette displayed in the variety of cocktails to the servers that pay you copious amount of attention, every little detail is planes to the tee. At times you may feel you are transported to be amidst a lab experiment but the drinks made at your table using liquid Nitrogen are delicious and a spectacle to watch. We also tried the brioche bun, it absolutely melts in your mouth. Having been to a few other Jose Andrés restaurants in the DC area and always being pleasantly surprised with my experiences, this certainly keeps the streak going. Can’t wait to try Minibar by Jose Andres too.

Justin Searle: If you like cocktails and tasting menus, this is a must hit place! Go for the paired cocktails your first visit, which you won't regret. On your second visit, go for the à la carte menu so you can fully explore their custom cocktail menu.

Diana Brody: Wow, this series of beautiful, fancy little snacks and cocktails (or mocktails) felt like we'd gone to a bewildering show. Each plate was so carefully constructed and delicious. My favorite bites were the wagyu tartare on shiso tempura and the cherry blossom marshmallow, but our group legitimately argued over what the best snack was. The drinks were also incredible- I actually went with mocktails, and holy moly I've never had such amazing drinks. It is expensive, that's not a surprise, but if you want to spend the money on performance-level food and drinks, this place is amazing.

Mukesh Bhakta: Just Wonderful. Vegetarian food paired with drink for me and a la crate for my wife. The dishes can be substituted with non vegetarian. We had 6 small plates and were full by the end of 2 hours. Each item was superb and we did add Australian Truffels to 4 dishes which elevated them substantially. It is definitely worth it for the experience. It is expensive but we enjoy these throes of restaurants very much. Staff was precise and excellent. Cocktails were unique and superb.

DeJuae: Food presentation was some of the best I’ve seen here in DC. It has 2 Michelin Stars. The intimate setting and couches make for a nice date night!

James King: Amazing food. Fantastic service. Highly recommended.Presentation is very elegant. Decor is intimate. Call ahead.

600t: what do users think?

Alejandro Nuñez-Jimenez: Instant favourite speakeasy. Unless you know where you are going, you will not find it. And that makes it all the better. Dim light, soft music, delicious cocktails, and friendly staff. Pair it with good friends or a date, and it will do for a memorable night out in DC. The menu is short but well chosen. Seasonal cocktails were great. Prices range $15-20. Exceptional care and presentation 10/10. It gets busy. Reserve a place in advance. We didn't and got lucky (2 people), but had to wait up a bit (30 min). Positive: one of our cocktail glasses suddenly broke and the staff helped us and replaced it for a new cocktail. Negative: I only remember tall tables. It'd be great to have sofa/armchair seats to enjoy the drinks.

Mysiki X Valentine: First let me start with the best part—the restroom. It’s very clean and cute. If the bathroom isn’t clean, you cannot expect the bar, or glasses to be clean. The drink selection is small but tasty. There are 9 drinks for all types of folks. I did not see a wine of beer list but there maybe one. On the night we visited, there was a live jazz band. It was nice to have live music but it was entirely too loud for a speakeasy. In addition, the center tables (circles) are a bit small with the decorative candle on the middle. Overall this is a nice bar to go to on U street. Do not forget to make a reservation..oh and they charged us $10.00 for just showing up (Repeal Day) this was unclear and not friendly.

Kevin George: Classic coctails and very unique cocktails of there own, this basement bar has amazing atmosphere and great employees. The cocktails are worth the wait as the bartenders cut all the ingredients fresh.

Ricardo M Gonzalez: Super cozy cocktail bar. Great service, even better drinks. Its great to visit in small groups and have fun. Great location and close tho other places in case you need food after.

Meenu Singh: The coziest semi-hidden bar with a beautiful attention to detail, from the fresh herbs and flowers in the cocktails to the wood paneling to the roaring fireplace. The drinks were delicious and special. The whole service team was so kind, and my table of three felt so cared for. Thanks for making an evening with friends feel magical!

Rachel U: First time here and loved it! Very unique, tasty cocktails, excellent service. We had a reservation for Friday night, there is a two hour window for seating.

Natalie Pirrone: Hands down my favorite bar in DC. Patio is super awesome, staff is really friendly. Cocktails have so much flavor. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Henrry Palacios: I believe this is our third or fourth time coming here. All the cocktails we’ve had have been great and it’s one of our all time favorite cocktail bars. The service is always great, the vibe is always very calm and comfortable, and the drinks always impress. If you make a trip to DC, you’ll have to make this place a priority and be sure to make reservations beforehand!

Mathew Crichton: A wonderful little speakeasy tucked away on U Street. They have some amazing old fashioneds and shaken cocktails! The sweet potato donuts are also freaking fantastic!

Blake Arrington: Very good drinks and even better customer service. Even is you dont like a drink they will switch it out for you Definitely the best old fashioned I ever had and the martini was very good with an extra drink Also if you want something sweet the sweet potato donuts are very good

Death Punch: what do users think?

Yuliya Tk: Thank you server so much for letting our big group pay separately! I always try to make sure to tip at least 20-25% when it happens (and ask everyone else the same!) Drinks weren't as warm, but it was semi warm outside, even though it was a cold day. Sushi were average. But Christmas themed bar was very very cool!

Nick Grippin: I feel compelled to write a review of the bar sans pop-up or special season. For $20/person, we were basically treated like royalty. No wait, seats right at the bar, and fantastic bartenders. The unlimited drinks deal is a steal, after two drinks you're already even with most bars in DC. The bartenders even told us about the service charge unprompted, which was a major plus. The bar was not crowded for a Saturday night and we never had to wait to get refills. Definitely a hidden gem compared to some of the bars on the same block. Would highly recommend.

Chelsea Cassell: The Miracle pop-up was fun, neat decorations. We tried three of the cocktails and didn't really like any of them. We had two waiters, one was awesome and friendly, one very much less so. Overall would hang out for 1 drink for the ambiance, but plan to go elsewhere for the majority of the night.

Joveria Javed: We went for happy hour Friday night and the bartender was extremely unprofessional. He spilled the drink he gave me and then was tending to other people, which is fine. But every time he was free, we would raise our hands. We were not belligerent. Then he YELLED at us about stopping and then finally came to help us order. Please teach your bartenders to not yell at just anybody. Maybe don’t drink on the job.

Ashley Reynolds: Miracle pop up at Death Punch - the only good part was the holiday decor. Overall, it was so much better last year. Clear that they were so unprepared for this pop up. The food menu was incredibly limited (4 sushi roll options, fried chicken, brussels sprouts, and some meat skewers). Every drink is around $16 each. Drinks served to us were not ours and we let our server know. They took the wrong drinks we drank out of back when they brought the correct ones and said 'policy won't let you keep them' really hope others were not served those drinks!!! We were told that they were out of all of the Miracle shots. Couldn't buy the Miracle drink mugs because they hadn't been delivered yet (we came early on in the date range that Miracle is running specifically because last year we were too late and the mugs were sold out). They took our number, but it was so disorganized I seriously doubt anyone calls when the shipment comes in. Only 1 payment method allowed. Just an unprepared disorganized vibe all around for something that is supposed to be so fun.

Emma Rentz: A great addition to Admo! The staff is stellar, the food and ambiance are also great, and they have fun drinks. The all you can drink happy hours sounds super intriguing.

Christina Y: We went today for the Miracle bar and it was great despite the rain and outdoor only seating. They have a little patio area set up with a tent and heater with delicious Christmas themed drinks. Try the Naughty shot and the Christmas Carol Barrel. It tastes like the spirit of Christmas and made the season bright for me! We also tried the Koji Chicken and california roll. The koji was delish ! I hope to come back soon to try their other items.

Jesseca Makeup: Okay so..this was pretty disappointing, the pop ups prior to this one so far has been phenomenal. The decor this time around was kinda cheesy and uncomfortable compared to previous pop ups. But , I could deal with that because it was still festive nonetheless. What I couldn’t deal with was the expensive prices! I was honestly shocked at the prices after ordering. The drinks were meh , the food was “ok” . We ordered gingerbread cupcakes that were dry and tough. And walked out of there unimpressed after paying 180.00! They sneak a service charge in there and then expect for you to leave a additional tip. Think I’m good on this pop up for years to come.

Dani Brown: Had made a reservation to enjoy a nice dinner outside in an igloo with a few friends. While booking the reservation resy specified that we would have our own igloo and server. When we arrived for dinner the seating was just general tent seating outside with other guests. Our server took a bit of time to get over to us to take our drink orders, and with that being said she was extremely out of it. We had a group of ten and yes that is a lot of people to serve but everyone’s drinks came at different times and some people didn’t get there drinks till 30 minutes after they had ordered. The food came before most of our drinks and we had to remind our server we ordered drinks a couple of times. The owners were very nice and another server helped us out with a few things. The food was good. I understand they had a Christmas pop up bar inside the venue but either way it was a bit of shame our experience was what is was. Hopefully they can do something about the speed of drinks and other than that food was good.

Natasha Hansen: Enjoyed a delicious cocktail. Their streetry is nice and warm! With friends we shared the fried chicken, dragon roll, peppers and edamame. The fried chicken was amazing! Everything was delicious and service was great! I do wish they had more winter-y cocktails!
Response: Thank you! Miracle, our Christmas themed pop up bar starts next week 11/26-12/31! Be sure to come back and try any or all 10 holiday cocktails!!

Jack Rose Dining Saloon: what do users think?

Heriberto Gonzalez (Heri): Had an absolute lovely time! The food was on point and the staff was super friendly from the get go. We were celebrating our anniversary and they were very accommodating. We had the seared tuna and a very tasty beet salad. The fry cake dessert was scrumptious. Of course you go for the bourbon and they didn't disappoint. Some stuff we were looking for were out, but Matt was able to suggest similar bourbons that were awesome! If you want to have a great time and try hard to find bourbon, stop by!

Oceanie De Silva: What an Amazing Whiskey Collection!! We had a night out of drinks here with our friend who was visiting us and we absolutely loved the place and the collection of whiskeys and bourbon and so many other stuff! The bar tenders are so friendly and knowledgeable about everything! I said I love fruity cocktails with either Gin or Vodka and instant cocktails were created! Must visit in DC

Meg Salocks: One of the best collections of Scotch Malt Whisky Society on the east coast, along with lots of other unique bottles with a real range in prices. The staff are eternally nice and thoughtful, and will happily help you find the right pour for your tastes. A date night favorite if whiskey is your thing.

Jasen Covert: Amazing selection of bourbon, whiskey and scotch. What made the night was how great our service was. Very knowledgeable on all things whiskey, and recommended phenomenal drinks. Can't wait to be back!

Anindita Barman: This is a very popular place I could tell from the crowd that was in the restaurant even after the kitchen had closed. We had the "Jack Rose Barrel Picks" flight, the "Time in a Bottle" cocktail, whiskey Wings and fries. The whiskey selection in the flight was great, the cocktail and the wings were good as well, however, the fries were not seasoned or salted at all. Service was good but the host could have done better. He just stood there without greeting or anything so we were not sure if he was part of the staff. Upon asking if he worked there, he said he did after which we asked for a table and he led us to one. :/ Parking can be a hassle as the restaurant is in the heart of DC. There is street parking but finding a spot is up to luck.

Gregg Caldwell: Have been here two times and the service has been excellent and the bourbon knowledge has been on par. Not sure how long it would take a server to know what liquor they have and the ability to speak about each bottle? Place gets loud as it gets later in the night. Make sure to check out the upstairs area.

Kevin Raisch: As a whisk(e)y fan, I had to visit Jack Rose while in DC and it was awesome. Kyle, our whisky advisor, perfectly crafted a whisky flight based on my preferences and provided very detailed and interesting facts about the story and science behind each bottle. In addition to the 3,000 unique bottles of whisky they have food, beer, cocktails and two floors of space (including outdoor space) so it’s perfect even for those who don’t want whisky.

Larry Miller: Over 2600 different Whiskies in their inventory. Great selection of rare whiskey. Great cocktails, service and food. This was a busket list bar for me. Itcwas the worth the trip.

Michael McDaniel: Truly a must-go place for bourbon and whiskey lovers. For starting at only $28, you’ll get to experience 3 bottles tasting with an excellent background on each bottle by well-knowledgeable and passionate servers. The second floor is open air with different corners to experience.

Nick Lethbridge: A whiskey lovers dream! The list of rare bourbon and Scotch is phenomenal. It's an absolute must for Bourbon lovers with a long list of options. Bar staff are incredibly knowledgeable.

Service Bar DC: what do users think?

Elias Chelala: Awesome location with a cool vibe. They have an enormous selection of cocktails and delicious food. Make sure to try their spicy fried chicken sandwich which is very juicy and crispy. If you plan on visiting make sure to bring proof of vaccination. The prices are reasonable for the area and the service was decent! I will visit service bar again!

Kara Clark: Small bar with great food and drinks. Fried chicken sandwiches are stacked and cooked perfectly with seasons. Drinks menu are listed from light to strong. I do wish the food options was more but overall happy with the pick! Drinks absolutely great! Your bill will add up however, it was a bit pricey but overall great food. The bar is a bit small but they have outdoor eating areas as well.

Besart Ç.: Epic spot. Went for friend's birthday. The bar looked just like any other casual DC bar. But once you order your first drink, you quickly realize this is one of the best cocktail bars in DC. Their drinks are phenomenal: liquid nitrogen, fresh ingredients, top tier alcohol, and amazingly talented bartenders. On that note, the bartenders were absolutely awesome lads! Loved chatting with them. They even gave us free shots for our friend's bday. Looking forward to next time guys! (Too sad I was too focused on drinking the cocktails so I forgot to take some pics, but these are some snaps from a video)

Monica R S: The fried chicken is soooooo good! Food was overall delicious. The old fashioned was good. Service was good too. We sat outside and it was sufficiently heated.

Rebecca Kaufman: One of my favorite places to get cocktails in DC. They have such a great and wide selection of different specialty cocktails with plenty of different liquor options to choose from. They also always have seasonal options that change often as well as a great selection of small bar foods.
Response: 🤘🏼

Lani: Casual bar with good drinks. You can only sit 1 hour and 30 mins. The food was about a 6/10, we got burgers and mozzarella balls.

Kelly Wiley: What a great little place with excellent drinks and food! Cullen was super knowledgeable about the menu items and the specifics of each drink! They have stellar homeade ginger beer!
Response: 🙌🏼

Mark Orebiyi: On the search for the best Fried Chicken Sandwich in the DMV my team and I came across Service Bar. I highly recommend this restaurant. They are known for their cocktails but this sandwich was devine. Solid portion as well (fries come separately). I would put them in my top 5 (and this was our 21 place). Our server, Cullen, was extremely informative and accommodating. I will be back.

Saminda Wijegunawardena: Really dope spot. Tons of character, and characters. Provocative cocktails, tempting bites.Great decor and art. It's got all the NW vibes.

Blake Arrington: Good drinks and great chicken The fried chicken meal is the best bang for you buck coming with 3 sides and 2 chicken thighs for $20, I definitely recommend it Make sure you try the original fried chicken. The Nashville hot is good but not as good as the original which has a honey glaze. The atmosphere is a very bar feel inside. If you sit outside they did a good job of turning the street into a nice seating area but it is very loud with cars driving past Would come again to just get the chicken to go

Quill at The Jefferson: what do users think?

Georgia Hensley: What a great experience visiting The Quill. When we arrived there was no place to sit at the bar or restaurant, so our waitress let us go in a little room with a couch and TV, she brought our drinks while we waited. They treated us so special! The drinks are the very best, served with olives and a variety of nuts. We left happy and elated. We will def. return on our next visit to DC The Quill is located at 1200 16th St. NW in Washington DC 20036
Response: Thank you for the kind words! We’re so glad you enjoyed your visit to Quill and hope we can welcome you back again soon.

Linzee Ott: Extraordinary vibes, really friendly staff, and supremely tasty cocktails. Sat at the bar and a different time at a table, and thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. Really professional but also creative cocktail menu. Upscale but approachable. A favorite tucked-away spot in DC.
Response: We're so glad you enjoyed your visit to Quill!

Patrick Young: Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and great cocktails. Quite pricy though, but after looking around the hotel you’ll understand why. They give cashews and pickled vegetables to you while you wait that are very much appreciated. Type of place you’d want to frequent if you want to run into politicians or others with power

Karen Koller: Outstanding cocktails and service. The kitchen closes at 10pm so I didn’t get a chance to try and food but the complimentary nut mix and pickled vegetables were delicious. Prices were reasonably.

Matthew Brown: The bartenders are fantastic. The level of professionalism and craftsmanship is second to none. You cannot get a better drink than the ones made by Meghan and Katie.

Amanda Cropper: Spot on cocktails and service. Charcuterie board is excellent and easily feeds 2-3 people. Worth every penny.
Response: We’re so glad you enjoyed your visit to Quill!

Matthew Wilding: Beautiful bar styled after a glass bar the owner apparently saw in France. Cocktails were great, ambience was perfect. Meghan the bartender was an excellent conversationalist and really knew how to work a room. One of the best hotel bar experiences I’ve had.
Response: Thank you for the kind words about your recent visit to Quill and your positive experience with Megan!

Gabriel Lopez-Bernal: One of the best cocktail bars in DC. Spectacular.
Response: Thank you for the kind words!

VictoriaVenturing: Beautiful hotel and restaurant, loved the cherry blossom drinks!

Izabelle Monique: Great experience as always. I miss the live piano jazz, though. Peter was wonderful and made The Quill’s nights even better before the pandemic.
