Madam's Organ: what do users think?
Brad Badger
Brad Badger: My girlfriend and I made sure to stop here after she had been here years ago and loved it. Our bartender Deborah was 10/10. She made some amazing drinks and was incredibly great to us. We got an appetizer sampler and the fried fish bites were absolutely killer. Live music was great as well. Cool vibes and great service. I will definitely stop by Madams Organ again the next time I am in DC!
Eve Breier
Eve Breier: Lovely atmosphere! The music is good, bartenders are friendly, nice mix of club-like dance floor upstairs, seated area on the middle floor, and a bar/performance area downstairs. It has it all. Also pretty funky decor all over.
James Bladen
James Bladen: I really wanted to try this place and menu sounded good, but waited over 15 minutes or more for someone to take my order and never did! I asked the bartender if someone was going to wait on my table and I could not hear what his response was, he just mumbled something. I was being as patient as possible and understand places are short staffed. There was a big table of around 10 people upstairs and I was by myself downstairs, I guess that explains it. The bartender was more interested staring at his phone than making sure his customers were taken care of. I was going to order a large order and I do tip good, but sorry, you just lost a customer and me recommending a place if you ignore solo diners like that.
Response: Sorry it didn’t work out for you. We are having labor issues but that is no excuse
Stacy Walker
Stacy Walker: Awesome spot, easy bar, and amazing entertainment! Check them out on Tuesday nights for great live music
Ieshia E. Butler
Ieshia E. Butler: Food was just ok. Nothing to write home about. I am from the Caribbean and was expecting the soul food to be a bit more flavorful. The waitress was really nice and the menu was affordable.
Response: Maybe you wanted Caribbean food and not Soul food
Amanda
Amanda: Great dark chilled atmosphere. Multiple floors with a partially covered roof top bar. Live bands. Friendly speedy service. Reasonable food and drink prices. Pool table available.
DiiJay Victorious
DiiJay Victorious: Great place. Bouncer is cool and ppl are sociable. Bands are cool. Beware atmospheres change momentarily and without notice (not for badly, just different crowds)
Alison Scott
Alison Scott: Loved the live music, bartender was so friendly! Amazing vibes - so glad we stopped in here. One of my favorite stops while visiting DC

The Crown & Crow: what do users think?
Christopher Yuen
Christopher Yuen: I was in town for a business meeting and I took a few friends out to this bar on a whim and we had a blast! The bartenders were friendly and the drinks were unique and delicious! I had so much fun I ended up leaving my blazer at the bar. I called the manager Graham a few days later and he mailed it back to me all the way to Connecticut. He’s awesome and this place is too!!!!!
Response: Thanks Christopher, it's our pleasure to host you and your friends!
Annie
Annie: Cool bar with a chill vibe. Came here on a Monday night at 630 and there were only 2 other groups. Not the typical DC bar. There are a few tables and the bar to sit at. The cucumber mule was really good!
Response: You can always count on us for good vibes and great drinks, Annie. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your cucumber mule. Come back and see us for more cocktails in the future! -Cheers, The Crown & Crow
Corey Nolan
Corey Nolan: Always have a great time in this nostalgic Bar. Brian "Bar Man" has done an outstanding job building his dream. Staff is super friendly and they have stepped up their cocktail game since I last visited. Glad I was able to ring in 2022 in such good company! Thanks C&C team! Stay safe!
Response: We're glad to hear you always have a great time with us, Corey. Our friendly staff is always here to take care of you and treat you to a cocktail. We hope you'll be back to celebrate with us sometime soon. -Cheers, The Crown & Crow
Adriana Cortés-Buelvas
Adriana Cortés-Buelvas: I absolutely love the Crown and Crow. Great cocktails and a huge offer on drinks. Great indie rock music, feels like an Irish experience.Graham is the nicest!
Response: You can always count on us to show you a good time, Adriana! We're happy to hear you enjoyed your cocktails and the music. Hope to have you back again sometime soon! -Cheers, The Crown & Crow

Public Bar Live: what do users think?
Alexandra Spataro
Alexandra Spataro: This place is so fun and lots of different beverages to pick from! Going during the day Saturday was a good choice! It seemed like a couple events were going on where people were celebrating something and getting bottle service so that made the place have even more energy (bubbles, signs every couple of minutes, DJ, beach ball thrown, etc). Only con is that the rooftop deck is not stiletto friendly, ladies you WILL get your heel stuck between the planks; you have been warned. Cheers!
Aziza Nabila
Aziza Nabila: Love this bar! We had so much fun on the rooftop on Saturday. It’s definitely a vibe and one of the BEST HOT SPOTS in the city. The staff was so friendly and service was great! Get a VIP table so you don’t have to wait in line. The bottle girls are the best and know how to party. Tables sell out super quick so reserve them early or they’ll put you on their waiting list.
JW
JW: Empty dance floor inside and bouncer at the door was rude - required individual masks for each party despite NO ONE having masks on inside. Place had an empty dance floor on Saturday night (10-11 pm). We went to Mayflower instead and had a much better time. Get some new bouncers if you want to have any business.
Diana Bermudez
Diana Bermudez: Good place for games but gets super, super packed. Try to reserve a table if you can.
Response: Thank you for your review Diana and we would like set you up with a table for all your needs thought the night. If that’s not something you’re interested in we would love your input on what you’re more interested in. DM us for more.
nohemi garcia
nohemi garcia: Been there on Sunday , mix music.🎶 not a big place. But you can Dance and have fun. Prices on drinks are fair enough. 🍸 bartenders working hard there and provide great service.
Lisa M
Lisa M: Got completely scammed by this place and our whole friend group got robbed while inside the club. We got a VIP table and it was not worth it at all. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Music was mediocre and there were way too many people to do anything but stand still. There are much better places to go in dc. This was our first time going and it will definitely be the last. We ordered some bottles then immediately got kicked out and they let tons of random people in our sections. This place SUCKSSSSSSS.
Omar Hamad
Omar Hamad: This is a fraudulent establishment. To say they have a lack of internal coordination and customer service would be generous. They need an organizational facelift with new and somewhat competent management who can at least give the appearance of relatively caring about their customers. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.
Juan Varela
Juan Varela: Music and vibes are incredible. One of the best spots to party in DC. Lee and Mariah are two of the best I’ve met in the hospitality industry in any city! Wish there were more places like this in DC and more people at bars and clubs like Lee and Mariah!!

Georgetown Piano Bar: what do users think?
Nate B
Nate B: This place was okay. We had the charcuterie board and the spinach and artichoke dip. Board was okay for $20. Brie was in Philadelphia cream cheese style container. Dip was good. Not a normal piano bar. Same music over and over.
Abi O
Abi O: Great happy hour from 5-7. Half off appetizers and $5 draft beer and wine. Fantastic staff and super lively and talented piano player. It was easy to both talk and enjoy the music: it’s not too loud like other reviewers said. We had a lot of fun singing along and requesting songs. White pizza and spinach artichoke dip were great.
Julia N
Julia N: It’s been a long two years, but I tried to support this place as much as possible because they can’t go anywhere. They are THE hidden gem of Georgetown. Was there tonight at Asheley was mesmerizing on piano, the wine bottles were half off, and the vibes were perfect. I felt like I was in a movie.
Patrick Sherman
Patrick Sherman: Nice location. Interior screamed Comedy Club. But it was a piano bar. We went because we thought it would be dueling pianos and fun. 2 pianists short. Playing and singing were not the piano players long suit. Musical waterboarding. Abandon hope...
Cole Breuer
Cole Breuer: Owner is very aggressive and mean. Only cares that he is the owner and is awful. Had a friend who had a terrible experience directly related to him. 3 girls walked out and he screamed at them to leave who one I am friends with. Very disrespectful and was angry that he couldn’t get in because his place was so packed. Fun for college students however the guy who owns it is very odd and mean. Don’t recommend unless you want to wait a lifetime and get yelled at by some soulless man
Whole Again
Whole Again: What a FANTASTIC venue! Eugene runs a tight ship with amazing talent! From the honesty with the staff, to the execution of the music. Just fantastic. Highly recommended!
Andrew Peck
Andrew Peck: Best bar in Georgetown. Good food, good music, and great drinks. Can’t ask for a better time. Great manager/owner too.
Lee Sport
Lee Sport: My friend DJ’d here for years, and now believes he is a musical talent on the scale of Mozart, Bach, or even lil yachty. He is not. That being said I have danced my way to nirvana, while sweating so much I almost died. The drinks are so strong, when I in the puked in the Potomac the fish 50 miles away started boogieing on that gin and juice.

Brixton: what do users think?
Karen Laska
Karen Laska: I came here for brunch today for the first time and it was amazing, highly recommend it! We got the banana waffles with fried chicken and it was delicious!! The food was very fresh and tasted homemade. We were able to be seated on the rooftop and have brunch with a beautiful view. The service was great and everyone was so kind, definitely a really nice spot to check out for brunch!
Crystal Sings
Crystal Sings: I will definitely be back… good food, good bar service (downstairs) and nice atmosphere. Thank you 😊
S. H.
S. H.: So this review is based on what Brixton was before covid and what is has become. It was a fun party bar. It has rebranded itself into another DC spot with mediocre food and a boring atmosphere. There used to be a line around the building on Saturday night. Now, it looks like this death. The rebranded themselves out of business. Raise your prices but keep getting money.
Bryce Holliday
Bryce Holliday: Fun place with a nice atmosphere. Always busy and kind of crowded, which some like. A little more expensive than surrounding bars.
Kable Corsey
Kable Corsey: I like this spot a lot. I gave it 3 Stars only because how they now do the entry. If you were already on the roof top floor and come down to the 2nd floor for a drink you have to wait in line all over again to get back up. It used to be on the first floor and It needs to go back to that. I even had a card open upstairs he I still had to wait. This system is not good for great customer service. Other than that the drinks and music is on POINT
Quinn Cartheuser
Quinn Cartheuser: Love this place. I’ve only ever eaten on the rooftop but there are multiple floors. Food and service has always been great and the views while eating are a lovely and welcome addition. A decent selection of draft and bottled beer. Cocktails are also delicious.
Angelica Norman-Beltran
Angelica Norman-Beltran: Cool place to go dance and have a few drinks. The DJ seemed a little hit it miss with his song selection though. Loved the rooftop!
Taniya Ross
Taniya Ross: I wish they would go back to how it was before COVID. They’re second floor used to be SO fun, we would come here all the time, and the rooftop was fun too! Now the second floor is like an empty lounge and the rooftop is the only ~ok~ part. Really rebranded themselves into being boring.
Julian Parks
Julian Parks: Went in on a Sunday and the music was great, the rooftop bar was pretty lit. I enjoyed my time with my friends. Def would recommend.

DC9 Nightclub: what do users think?
John T
John T: This dive bar is awesome! In the summer you can relax on the 3rd fl rooftop and laugh at everyone waiting in line for the "popular" bar across the street. In the winter they have small indi bands on the second floor. Great concert space. Staff has seen it all so be respectful!
Katelyn Stenger
Katelyn Stenger: Intimate venue and very friendly staff. I would highly recommend if you can! The tickets were shockingly affordable and the folks at the front actually checked vaccination and ID. Much appreciated.
Jessica Strahin
Jessica Strahin: Went there for a small intimate concert. Loved the venue and the staff!!
Robert Cardoni
Robert Cardoni: Great intimate show space to see smaller up and coming bands ... only hold about 150 people - so sold out shows are tight. Staff is super friendly. Beer is cold. Sound is good. What more could a music fan ask for Check set times though. Sometime shows are early with dance parties afterwards ...
Omny Miranda Martone
Omny Miranda Martone: I love DC9. We go here regularly. The bottom floor is a typical indoor bar, the second floor is for dancing, and the top floor is a rooftop bar. Definitely recommend.
Stacey Brooks
Stacey Brooks: Little but intimate. TTNG played twice here and it was a laid back experience. Bar on every level, food always smells great, bands perform on the second level without it being over crowded! Great place to rock!
Joe Nicol
Joe Nicol: always a good time, the best unofficial gay bar in DC — great acts, cool space
Chris B
Chris B: 150 person capacity venue means you can get up close to the bands but shows usually end pretty early and the beer list is not impressive by any means. The food is pretty good tho, and be sure to get their garlic fries as a side to whatever you order.
Daniel Cox
Daniel Cox: Great place for live music. It is a really small and intimate venue which makes for a much better experience. Bouncer was really nice, drinks are averagely priced, and overall a good experience. Would come to a show here again.

Black Cat: what do users think?
Nick Pascale
Nick Pascale: performed there with my band, The Missing Peace (check us out) and the staff was extremely nice to us and treated us with utmost respect despite opening for a huge artist. Also music venues normally carry a stigma of being stingy with their alcohol in their drinks but Black Cat served great tasting, well mixed drinks - best venue i’ve experienced in the DMV area!
Ramiro Pena
Ramiro Pena: My past two experiences have been dreadful. They pack the place so full of people it is really concerning. I straight up got panic attacks from just how many people are packed in post pandemic. God bless them but I guess it’s just not for me anymore. It’s so hard to ascertain when the events held here arent packed with a huge huge group of people because besides that I’m sure there are worthwhile acts to watch. I remember one group that did a really cool interpretive dance I’m sorry for the low score but thats me and I think I’m going to add some keywords so that a certain audience can understand. If you have autism or anxiety this might not be the most accesible place for you. The last two times I have been here getting a drink or even approaching the bar has been impossible. The place was so packed inevitability people were rubbing up against me CONSTANTLY. Personally I can’t stand that. This place has pinball which is nice but last time the one machine had a flipper broken. I wish I could enjoy being inside this place but theres no where to sit most of the time I feel awkward walking in and just standing around, I can’t feel comfortable dancing because theres no room to move without brushing up against someone. I just can’t stand that. This is a personal problem but if you have sensory issues like that consider this an advisement
kevin jenkins
kevin jenkins: Had a great time seeing Flobots. Bartenders are great. Tip them. Well.
JW Francis
JW Francis: I played here on 4/19 and had a wonderful experience! Very cool room with checkered floor. Very kind people behind the bar and working production. Two thumbs wayyyy up!
Robert Cardoni
Robert Cardoni: Mid size music venue hosting indie and punk acts. Space is long and narrow - so sight lines and sound can be off near the back but it’s still a great space. They recently downsized from 2 levels to one. Kind of sad but at least they weren’t forced out of the neighborhood due to gentrification. Bring cash. No credit cards accepted They no longer have food :(

Bobby McKey's Dueling Piano Bar: what do users think?
Titi
Titi: Great experience! Extremely talented musicians and our waitress was so nice. Only negative is having to sit so close to strangers if you are in a small group. Especially in these times. Other than that, we had a great time and definitely recommend!
Response: Thanks so much for this great review Titi!
Blue Girl
Blue Girl: It’s always fun coming to this place, I love it. So far I had nothing but wonderful experiences with this place. Great drinks and staff are super friendly. We like coming a little bit late when everyone’s a little buzz, more musicians at the stage and customers singing along. Definitely a place worth checking out when visiting National harbor.
Response: Thanks so much for this great review Blue Girl!
Josef Gasimov
Josef Gasimov: Excellent place to spend Saturday night with talented musicians, good drink menu and OK food. Bring lots of cash so you can order your favorite songs or mention birthday or anniversary etc. On Saturdays place stays up past midnight and opens door at 7pm with piano folks starting around 8pm. $35 admission fee is best money spent. Except food which was ok everything else was perfect. Definitely a place to come back to!
Response: Thanks so much for this great review Josef! We appreciate your business and you taking the time to share about your experience.
Alma Cochran
Alma Cochran: Definitely would recommend. The staff was amazing, musicians were extremely talented. The only thing that would make this a bad experience is if you had a crowd that wasn’t engaged, but the staff and musicians didn’t let that happen for me
Response: Thanks for this really great review Alma!
Shawn Bartley
Shawn Bartley: You must go!!! These musicians are amazing!!! Rock stars!!! Great atmosphere. Great experience!!!
Response: Thanks so much Shawn, this review is awesome!
Kat B
Kat B: 10/10 , highly recommend this for brunch with the girls or family . Definitely best for people who have a sense of humor . By the end of the brunch, my partner and I ended up on stage dancing to the piano version of “the thong song” lol We had a blast , felt like a safe place to be silly & for all ages above 21 , (they weren’t kidding about unlimited mimosas ), we never had an empty cup . There was a group of gals celebrating their 60th, another group of bachelorette ladies, and group celebrating a birthday . Although we were all strangers it felt like we were all celebrating together which speaks towards the welcoming ambiance and hosts of the brunch .
Response: Wow Kat, thanks for this really detailed review. You're totally sharing your experience with everyone and we appreciate you taking the time to post. You're the best!
Jennifer Osborne
Jennifer Osborne: We had such a great date night at Bobby McKey’s! Wow, the musicians are EXCELLENT, and their energy and enthusiasm is infectious. Hilarious too! Food was pretty tasty, but it’s definitely bar food. I recommend the egg rolls! (However, I don’t recommend the McKEY’S Breeze cocktail unless you like your drinks VERY sweet!) Definitely recommend checking this place out if you want a fun night at the harbor!
Response: Thanks for this great review Jennifer! Glad that you spent such a fun date night with us.
Adriane Bowman
Adriane Bowman: Since nobody is going to say it, the brunch food was nasty. The food was cold and bland. The only thing I enjoyed was my Sprite. Then as much as they charged (along with gratuity up front) the food was served on plastic plates like we were at a cookout. The dueling piano show was nice however, I would not return.
Response: Adriane, thanks for your business and honest feedback. Sorry to hear that we didn't meet your expectations. We clearly have some work to do and will continue to strive for a begtter output. I hope that you enjoyed the show.
Karly Coppinger
Karly Coppinger: This place is extremely overpriced. Tickets alone for a table seat are 25$ then mixed drinks are $15, shots $11, and beers $6-8. Not to mention the cups served with the drinks were very small not tall at all. Then if you want to put in a song request you have to provide a tip to the piano players… let alone they didn’t know half the songs we would put up for request.
Response: Karly, I guess it's all about geography and perspective. How much do you value 4 talented musicians with an incredible repertoire. Our pricing is definitely competitive to the DC metro area. A pedal your own boat cruise in our neighborhood goes for $50. We think $25 is extremely fair.

Blues Alley Club: what do users think?
Laetitia Monnier
Laetitia Monnier: Awesome club ! We went there for a date night and it was a great experience. There is little table around the stage where you can get close and cozy. The atmosphere is dark and felted which is perfect for a romantic date. The music was awesome too. It was a mix of jazz, blues, hip-hop and it was definitely perfect. The food was good too with choice from southern cuisine which we love. I think it’s a must do in DC and we’ll definitely come back and recommend it to our friends and family !
Tom Williams
Tom Williams: This spot is dope and laid back, I like the location also. The drinks and food were good, this is a must go I will return for sure. They do ask for your vaccination card so don’t be surprised about that. Give it shot and enjoy yourself.
Michael Goodman
Michael Goodman: Good little historic jazz club in DC. Good space, nice acts coming through. A bit stuffy for my taste, as I usually prefer walk-in casual spots, and this requires tickets in advance. But forcing ticket sales does at least encourage active listeners rather than a raucous, drunken bar crowd. Pretty good layout, good view of the band from most seats in the house. The food is something awful. Get dinner elsewhere.
Anne Schumann
Anne Schumann: Blues Alley is open and putting on great shows. Vaccinations are required to enter but masks are optional (as of this review). Expect to pay a cover plus a food and beverage minimum. Tickets can be purchased online in advance and there are shows most nights of the week ranging from school bands, local up and commers and national talent. There is a parking garage right across the street or on weeknights you can usually find street parking.
Shantell Hartley
Shantell Hartley: The music was great. However, the service was terrible!!! The show started a little after 10pm. I didn’t get my drink until 11:30pm. Right after I got my drink, the show ended!!! They continually got our drink orders wrong and didn’t have any of the mixers we ordered. They even sent a mixed drink to our table in two different glasses, unmixed. It was a MESS! I finally had to ask for my drink to be mixed with a coke since they didn’t have anything else. It was not delicious. I couldn’t even drink it. I had to ask for extra soda because it was so strong. I am really disappointed by this experience. I should have gotten a refund! The two stars are only because the music was good.
Terri Miller
Terri Miller: Blues Alley never disappoints! The pefect venue for enjoying live music. The staff is friendly and professional. I saw one of my favorite artist Kim Waters. It was an amazing performance and outstanding band. I looking forward to going back soon.
J D
J D: Wonderful jazz music in a historic carriage house. The quality of the music and musicians was equal to what we hear at our local concert venue. Owners are hospitable and service is quick and efficient. We enjoyed beverages but want to try the food on our next visit. Check this place out and do your part to support live jazz music and a lively venue.

Charli Knows How To Eat
Charli Knows How To Eat: Stopped by here randomly with a friend of mine. We had been bar hopping all night and needed a quick pick me up for brunch. The bartender was very friendly and informative. He suggested I get the tacos which were probably the best ones I’ve had in dc this far. And the prices were fairly cheap for the quality of food and drinks we received. It’s a cute little bar with indoor and outdoor seating.
Joshua Kappel
Joshua Kappel: I recently hosted a birthday event at Sudhouse and had a great experience. From the communication beforehand to the day of, everything went smoothly. The atmosphere was great, cheap drinks and food, my friends and I had a fun night all around. Will definitely book another event here in the future!
Shankar Kulumani
Shankar Kulumani: Great bar on U street. Plenty of space to get drinks or hang out with friends.Top floor is great for cornhole
Natalie Kitzrow
Natalie Kitzrow: This is the best neighborhood bar! I love the staff and great food and that it’s so easy to just stop in for happy hour on any random day. Grab dinner, a shot, and great conversation. Ask the owners about the free party room - I hosted a party here recently and I’ll be back!
Enitan Falana
Enitan Falana: The Late night menu is great, Tacos, mozzarella sticks, inexpensive beers and shots, a laidback atmosphere. Bartenders are really nice and friendly !! Down to earth owner, definitely a neighborhood favorite. Some outdoor sitting & Upstairs is has enough space to host a private parties or small event
Response: Thank you!!
Brit Number
Brit Number: Best happy hour - great patio

Response: Sweet! Thanks

Living Room DC: what do users think?
Sara O'Day
Sara O'Day: If I could give this place zero stars I would. Went to a show they were hosting (didn’t go during club hours). Their ATM inside was broken and I needed cash so I was instructed by a security member inside and the bartender to go to the ATM right next door and I would be allowed back in. The bouncer at the door stopped me and told me I would only be allowed to go back inside if I hooked up with him later and then kissed me without my consent. When I was able to get back in (with a little help from a kind stranger) I went to tell the security member what happened and he took me to the manager. The manager said he would “review” the tape but there was nothing else he could do. Upon returning to my friends the party sitting next to us told me this isn’t the first time this has happened at this spot and management does nothing. I had to have a security member walk me out at the end of the show because I was freaking out.
Laura Murgas
Laura Murgas: My review if for the bar part. The bartender was a blond woman, no idea of her name but she was not nice at all. We got tequila shots and we got charged a 20% mandatory tip (which is insane when there is literally no preparation in a plan shot) and I ask her for salt and she responded super rude and never got me the salt.
Justin David Kondrat
Justin David Kondrat: HOMOPHOBIC atmosphere within lack luster costumer service. I was shocked that places like this still exist in D.C. With blatant tokenizing of people of color for bridal parties I felt extremely uncomfortable. I felt bad for the Drag performers since they were wonderful but not sure why/how an art form such as Drag matches with such backward thinking , services and atmosphere. It was very odd to say the least. If Zero stars were an option I would follow other Google reviewers. I discourage supporting places like this as their outward disrespect justify racist, homophonic and poor business practices. Yikes!!! There are plenty of other places in DC that can fit your needs while respecting all of the communities in our society. I need some sage and a long shower.
J A
J A: First red flag: There were no people in line and we entered through the lane that was most direct of our walking path. The security said if we didn’t have a table we have to walk to the other lane that was LITERALLY 5 STEPS AWAY WITH NO LINES IN EITHER LANES. Second red flag: I ordered five shots and the old women bartender automatically added a $10 tip to the tab. Third red flag: the Dj had ZERO sense of good music. He played gasolina and danza Kuduro OVER THREE TIMES. One time is enough. The dj played oldddddd 2000s songs like bed rock. Fourth red flag: Males at this place are truly disgusting. They cannot keep their hands to themselves. They get angry if you deny yourself to speak to them. Security sees males harassing females and turn a blind eye until you have to approach them and tell them you’re being harassed. Bottom line: I do not recommend this place if you want an eventful night. DC has a lot of night life and this is by far my worst experience. Females, save yourself from disappointment.
Milan Mittra, Esq.
Milan Mittra, Esq.: Worst DJ that exists in DC. Terrible music, all night. He has no skill. Just the worst, most boring music you can imagine…..ALL NIGHT LONG…. Painful experience…..avoid this DJ!! Stay away from the Living Room!
LaShondra Graham
LaShondra Graham: Went here for a show. The drinks were overpriced and the club was very small. I enjoyed the show, but the club was just...meh 🤷🏾‍♀️
miranda raney
miranda raney: Paid a $20 cover for each of my (4) friends and I this past Friday night and was told mine was taken care of because it was my birthday. Just checked my bank account and was actually charged $120 ($40 over what I was told). Poor experience on top of being lied to and over-charged at the door. Super disappointed in this place.
edward adams
edward adams: Great place to have a get together awesome DJs wonderful visual attractions the staff was incredible I can’t wait to go back and have a party with all of my friends and meet some new ones

Cloak & Dagger: what do users think?
Katrina Marie
Katrina Marie: This bar has a cool vibe! Good music and lots of dancing 10/10. The bartender was exceptional! However, towards the end of my night, my friends and I returned to this bar after going next door and we were met with a security guard (who said his name was Kyle) who took it upon himself to throw his arm around me and tell me that he would let me back in based on if I was to give him my number……cringy I know After going back and forth with him about why I could come back in and my two friends couldn’t, he put his hands on my back and gently shoved me out the door. I understand closing times and not being able to accommodate people if there’s only 20-30 minutes left in the night, but NEVER has any male security guard thrown his arm around me and then shoved me out the door. Unprofessional and super uncomfortable energy. It was the WORST way to end a great night here
Aminah Imani
Aminah Imani: DJ was lit. I came for a comedy show hosted by Rallo, it was a good vibe. The venue is nice. I would come back for sure!
Sharetta King
Sharetta King: Cloak & Dagger made my VIP birthday party an experience to never forget! Everyone had an amazing time and we have future plans to celebrate there again. Sonny and his staff were phenomenal. A member along with security checked on us often. The service was great and always on time and they knew what we wanted before having to ask. The atmosphere was really fun and the DJ could not have been better. Sonny also took the time to hang out with the party and conversed with each of us much longer than other club owners had.
C Lee
C Lee: Fun and casual nightlife with a great DJ and good music! We got table service and it was perfect. The area is small but it worked out well for our group. Service was excellent - she was present without being overbearing and was accommodating about splitting the check. The dance floor was packed with people ready for fun and dancing. It was cozy and comfortable - definitely not a pretentious spot. We went for a bachelorette and they did everything to make it a fun night for our soon-to-be bride. The owner was friendly and helpful. And the DJ and host were friendly and really good at getting the crowd going.
Christina Tang
Christina Tang: One thing I love about Cloak & Dagger is that you will always have a great time. The music is always hype, the crowd is filled with positive vibes and high energy. The dj at Cloak & Dagger really knows what type of music to play to please a diverse crowd. The bartenders always makes my drinks perfectly! Out of all the clubs on U st. , I know that if I want to go somewhere that has good music, good alcohol, and a good crowd, Cloak & Dagger is the place to go. Not to mention, the owners are super sweet and genuine. They will always take care of you and make sure you have a fun time. Anytime I have been to Cloak & Dagger, I would stay until 2-3am without realizing it, because I would be having such a great time that I would forget to check my phone. 10/10 would recommend!
Rajit Sarkar
Rajit Sarkar: This is a bar on U St. The drinks are expensive, but not very good. Would not recommend to anyone.
Royce Glover
Royce Glover: Ya I have to give it up to my man John ,his club is great good vibes. I have done alot of work for him in the past electrical, floor tile, paint, put in new fans
nia harley
nia harley: Came here for NYE and won’t come back . The advertised dj was not there and the bartenders are lazy and rude .Shots are over priced and gratuity is automatically included which the bartenders did not deserve .
Yvonne Truong
Yvonne Truong: I NEVER write reviews but let me tell you the place is amazing! Filled with good energy and a lovely atmosphere. Every time I am there the owner (Sonny) always makes sure I have a good time.

Hawthorne: what do users think?
Fee Pauwels
Fee Pauwels: The Mission group is great! Hosted a birthday party here last weekend and it was such a smooth process. We booked the first floor of Hawthorne. They made us a birthday sign, helped point people in the right direction, and the bartender was awesome. He was super nice and patient with 80 people in the room. Great variety of drinks for a party as well! Highly recommend if you’re looking for an easy spot for an event.
Nia Bright
Nia Bright: The food was okay, a tad bit to salty. I ordered the chicken tenders with waffle fries. I also had bottomless mimosas as my beverage. Their rooftop spot was cute.. service could’ve been better.
Justin Hwang
Justin Hwang: Rented out the rooftop at Hawthorne to celebrate my birthday and had the best experience! The blocked off my own private section and even had a "happy birthday" sign. Plenty of room for all my guests and the bartending on the roof was great. Will definitely host more events here.
Erin
Erin: The Roof Top is a fantastic place to host an event. We did a happy hour mixer for my law class (ages 22-60) early on a Friday night. Great selection of discounted drinks and apps, safe and clean atmosphere, and they let us decorate! Will host again next year!
Tanner Gildea
Tanner Gildea: Emailed two days before a work happy hour, as a I realized Hawthorne is only open Thursdays to private events. I was in luck! We got the whole top floor, no minimum, no card down, nothing - service was great, prices reasonable, and management easy to work with. Highly recommend if planning a casual happy hour or the like.
Bridget Bartley
Bridget Bartley: I was able to easily reserve their first floor bar for my birthday party on a Saturday night. Could not imagine this night having gone any smoother! It was perfect, and the staff at Hawthorne were so easy to work with!
Lara Wilson
Lara Wilson: We held a corporate happy hour at the Hawthorne recently and really enjoyed ourselves. We utilized the rooftop and had the whole space to ourselves. The food was delicious and bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Recommended!

Penn Social: what do users think?
Aaron-Micheal Blackman
Aaron-Micheal Blackman: Solid bar, decent food, good staff. Very much enjoyed the music on the lower floor, which has a dance floor and a few nice games. I imagine it can get more lively but it was almost empty at the time. I did enjoy the music selection though.
Black Star Dust
Black Star Dust: Penn social is a dope spot for watching sports! The downstairs area is filled with projector size screens and the sound system is a close second to being at the game. Great place to go check it you favorite teams and meet up with friends. They have other games to play like corn hole, basketball and giant sized Jenga. Lots of choices on tap and a full bar. Great spot.
Daniel Dias
Daniel Dias: Cool spot to hang out with friends have a drink and play some games. Staff was cool! Only complaint was online it said they would have the UFC fights on and when we arrived no fights. So had 2 drinks and left.
ThinkPink Cottages
ThinkPink Cottages: We had a great experience at this place on Sunday. Our bartender Jasmine Was very knowledgeable and attentive we had Prosecco on tab with fresh orange juice pot pie and couple cocktails. This place is a great relaxing for easy beverage.
Natalie Thomas
Natalie Thomas: Drinks are fine although they kept making my friends and I’s orders wrong (I ordered for a whiskey sour, got a gin and tonic, someone asked for a vodka cran, we don’t even know what we got.) The place is huge though and dancing is always fun and they play a variety of music which is nice! Kitchen closed before we got there sadly so don’t know what the food is like
Mayo Tracy
Mayo Tracy: I really like this spot. Great music and the drinks were really good. Staff was friendly and I like the option of being able to purchase seats. Kevin Ross was amazing too.
erica chin
erica chin: Went to see Kevin Ross at this venue. Show was supposed to start at 8:00 PM and at 8:20 show hadn’t started. The seating chart that was published for the show was different than how the seats were ranged for the show. Everyone was jammed into a small space and people were allowed to stand and block views of people who bought tables. Never coming back here. Horrible, horrible venue.
Jim Dalton
Jim Dalton: Had pictures of games. Not open unless large event. Happy hour prices are always applied. Wouldn’t come back.
Response: Hi Jim, I'm sorry your visit to Little Penn Coffeehouse didn't meet your expectations. We had to pivot after COVID and we're trying something new! I hope you give us another chance if you are ever in the mood for a craft cocktail, breakfast sandwich or a boozy coffee cocktail. Best,

Shenanigan’s Irish Pub: what do users think?
Jackie O'Shea
Jackie O'Shea: My bar tender was amazing ! EVA was one of the best bar tenders I’ve had (and as an Irish drinker I’ve run into many bar tenders) I would come back every night if I could but only if she’s working !
Cate Vonich
Cate Vonich: This is a really fun bar heads up it gets very crowded so be prepared for it to be shoulder to shoulder everywhere until about 2 AM. Super fun staff and you can never go wrong getting a Guinness!
Yarborough Cleland
Yarborough Cleland: a relaxed bar with friendly patrons. Weeknights are rather relaxed, and compared to other bars in Adams Morgan, the drink costs are reasonable.
m rivera
m rivera: A low key pub with chill people. Weeknights are pretty laid back and the prices for the drinks are affordable compare to the other bars in Adams Morgan. Weeknights are more busy since they have an open bar starting at 9pm, that tends to attract more of a younger crowd. The food is decent if you want something to munch on.
Chrissie Lacy
Chrissie Lacy: Just wanted to take a moment to recognize good people - bartender Ross took great care of our bachelorette group, and went above and beyond to help our friend who was having a rough night. Thanks for being so caring and making sure we got her home safely!
Matthew Lawlis
Matthew Lawlis: Not a real irish pub. As someone who loves irish pubs (the happiness, the music, the culture) i was disappointed by this place. It seems more like a dive bar atmosphere wise as it is does not hold that Irish pub warmth. It does have a food menu but of the three times i was there only once was the kitchen open, and only some of the fair is irish pub food, there is much better around. The worst crimr however is how cold and unwelcoming they are. 2 of the times i came in and it was dead yet no one acknowledged me. I waited 10 minutes and left. The other time they looked at me weird when i asked for food. I just find the place the opposite of what is advertised. Its a cold and hard dive bar, not a lively and friendly pub. I recomend staying clear.
Response: I am very sorry for the inexcusable service. Our kitchen is open until last call so please provide me what days of the week and time you visited. There will be consequences for the bartender/server on duty during your visit. However you are very misinformed about our beer selection. We carry 16 authentic Irish Beers including 6 on tap. That is the largest selection in Washington DC. We offer standard Irish Fare Shepherd's Pie, Guinness Beef Irish stew, Bangers n Mash, Fish n Chips and Corned Beef.
Colbey Steeke
Colbey Steeke: Fantastic service. The bartender Eva was excellent. And the food was outstanding
popupdon
popupdon: Great selection of Irish whiskeys and beers. Hour power on Saturdays 9-11 pm. $10 open bar. Good food too. Recommend the bangers and mash.

Decades DC: what do users think?
Alex Vlad
Alex Vlad: I’ve been coming to this spot for years now, and it never fails to deliver that one-of- a kind retro timeless experience. The floors are all unique with their own theme— from 2000s to 90s to hip-hop/ and an EDM rooftop, music and DJs are always on point, and the staff and security are always very friendly and helpful. The venue is clean and hand sanitizer stations are offered; the staff wears masks, and considering we are in hard times with COVID im happy I can still enjoy clubbing, and a night out with friends safely. Overall, I would highly recommend Decades to anyone as its gives you a little bit of everything and more!
Kim & Ben
Kim & Ben: We were a little nervous to visit decades after reading the reviews, but we ended up going for a bit to celebrate a friend’s birthday and actually had a great time! The line to enter was long, but moved quickly. They did a thorough check point where they pat you down, check bags and check jacket pockets. You get carded at the door and have to pay a $20 cover if you don’t have a VIP pass. We all got the free VIP pass off their website and, so we didn’t have to pay the cover fee. Once inside, you can visit each floor of the club to get a different music experience. The top floor was the most crowded, and it was very hot, but our group still had a good time dancing. One of the middle floors (I think it was the 90’s floor) was less crowded, and you could feel the air conditioning, so we stayed there most of the time. Our friends said the bartenders were nice, and we didn’t have any negative experiences with bouncers either. We had a ton of fun at Decades and would love to visit again sometime! If you haven’t been, I’d stop by and give it a try!
Itzel Trejo
Itzel Trejo: I used to love this place but friends and I went to a day party after Sunday brunch and saw a rat right on the rooftop bar. We notified staff and they did not care. We decided to leave because the rat was right next to the bottles so we felt uncomfortable getting drinks. Staff response was that we live in a city and rats are everywhere and although I understand there’s still expectations when it comes to rats near what costumers consume. I would have expected a better costumer service response. Go at your own risk.
Niyah Baptiste
Niyah Baptiste: I would definitely recommend, me and my sisters celebrated our birthday here and it was on point!! Music was amazing drinks were decent priced. I’d definitely suggest getting there early so you don’t get caught in the rush of people tryna get to the “good”floors. It was definitely the vibe 10/10 totally going back.
Ali Hamza Dar
Ali Hamza Dar: I have the worst experience in this club. First we almost spend over 1500 on Thursday night on my friend birthday. Towards the end of it I wanted to use the bathroom and this one security guy did not let me use the bathroom. After I insist I really need to use it badly than he told me that if I give him 100 dollar and the other security guy 100 then he will let me use the bathroom. What a worst service is that. I ask him who is the owner of this place let me speak to him and he refuses me and told me get out of here. Is this how you treat with the customer. It was so terrible. There many other people standing and watching this incident.
Response: Hey Ali – Thank you for your feedback. Could you please send us an email to info@decadesdc.com regarding this matter, so we can further look into it.
Deanna Joan
Deanna Joan: You’ll have a good time, but be prepared to spend a lot of money! $20 cover charge and pricey drinks. But it’s spacious and clean, it doesn’t get too crowded, and they play some GREAT throwback music. Pick your battles!
Steven Fernando
Steven Fernando: Overpriced and crowded. Rude staff. Was being charged $14 for Coronas and other cheap beer pre covid, can only imagine what it’s like now. Paying that much for drinks youd atleast expect to be treated with some respect
Response: Hey Steven! Thank you for your honest feedback. Our drink prices match to those of our competitors in the area. Check out our social media for any ongoing promotions we currently have such as the $4 Budlight, $8 Absolut Mixed Drinks on Friday nights. Thank you again, and we hope to have you back soon!
Drew Inge
Drew Inge: If you’re an LGBTQ person do NOT come here. First of all, aside from the fact that this bar is not lgbt friendly it’s absolutely disgusting. The first floor of decades smells like a portopotty. The drinks are ridiculously overpriced compared to any other comparable “club” in DC. The cover is $20 which would be fine if it had any redeemable qualities worth the cover. As far as it being not LGBTQ friendly, the staff is not trained on how to handle LGBTQ people, the bathrooms are labeled All Gender but they have staff guarding them(even though they are single stall) allowing only females into one and “men”(those they deem visible men) into the room with only urinals available(on the rooftop) My personal experience on the rooftop after entering the “all gender” restroom was I was pulled out by the staff and then told I was not allowed to use that facility and I could enter the mens room because that room was for women only. I politely informed them I did not want to use the room with the urinals and the straight men and was then yelled at by security and told that I had no choice. IF YOU ADVERTISE ALL GENDER RESTROOMS THEN YOU STAND BY THAT STATEMENT. Will not return after this. I’ve visited numerous times and had multiple bad experiences but returned because I have so many straight friends who visit and want to experience different decades of music. If you want to experience the cliche of every decade and it be absolutely horrible then by all means please visit Decades DC but I’d spend my money at other establishments that cater to their clients much better; lgbtq or not.
Response: Hey Drew thank you for your honest feedback. We can assure you that we value and respect all people regardless of their race, gender, religion, ethnicity, sexual-orientation. Please email us at info@decadesdc.com regarding this matter, and a manager will be in contact with you.
Sophie Wophie
Sophie Wophie: Me and my friends used to love to come to decades but each time we get some sort of mistreatment. The guards are rude and RACIST. One time one of the guard told us ‘this ain’t your s**t, when we try to get to our VIP table. Ever time we go there it feels like they assume just because we’re black we can’t afford VIP. I’m tired of this racist treatment, I will take my money somewhere where it’s appreciated.

Casta's Rum Bar: what do users think?
Marlene Singh
Marlene Singh: Visited for happy hour and they did not disappoint! Food service lacked as some items took and extensively long time to come out of the kitchen however, the bar service was amazing! The happy hour food menu was pricey in comparison to other happy hours but the dishes were worth the price. We decide to go with cocktail pitchers for HH the first pitcher was a bit watered down but after a discussion with the bartender he ensured the other pitchers we perfect!
Response: We're glad to hear that you had a great experience at Casta's! We hope to see you again soon!
Quauhtli Olivieri
Quauhtli Olivieri: Love this spot! Whether you are looking for just drinks, drinks and small plates, or you want a Latin dancing spot, this is a great spot.Main indoor area turns into club dancing spot at 10pm on the weekends.
Response: Hi Quauhtli! We are so glad you enjoyed your time at Castas, thanks for the review!
Arielle H
Arielle H: Great atmosphere and even better staff & food. Though we only got appetizers (empanadas and Cuban soup) they were delicious. Also Oscar our host was so nice & knowledgeable. Definitely recommend the rum flights & a smooth cigar to go with them.
Response: Thanks for the 5 star review Arielle!
Michelle Jiles
Michelle Jiles: I celebrated my birthday yesterday at Casta’s rum bar. The service is received from my servers Tatiana and Francisco was out of the world. My party and I were so pleased with their patience, attentiveness, and how fun they made my birthday! I can’t wait to go back and again thank you Francisco and Tatiana!
Michael Furmaniuk
Michael Furmaniuk: Nice little gem! Great rum flights and mojitos, the Black Hummus even got my wife to like plantain chips. Felipe was awesome! Lots of varieties of rum, (try a flight!), and the appetizers are a good pairing.
Response: Hi Michael, thank you for the review!
Brianna Villa
Brianna Villa: This place is just absolutely fantastic. I was staying at the hotel upstairs and it was just so convenient to not have to leave to enjoy myself. I came here every single night that I stayed at this hotel because I felt safe and welcomed. Frankie was the absolute best bartender he gave me great service each night and was just so kind. The food was great too I had the medianoche each day. The Thursday night DJ, she was female and I cannot recall her name, but that was probably the most fun I’ve ever had at a bar on a Thursday night. Friday night music was not as great with the other gentleman but nonetheless Frankie Gave amazing service and it was just a good time. Thank you so much
Response: We're so glad you decided to venture out of the hotel to check us out Brianna. We thank you for your 5-Star review and hope that your next visit is better than your last!

Sax Restaurant & Lounge: what do users think?
Diana Feldmaier
Diana Feldmaier: SIR Sundays are BACK!! It is the best brunch I’ve been to. The buffet style food was delicious, lots of fun, great show, and unlimited mimosas! Bring all your girlfriends, you’ll have a blast!
Alexander Cárdenas
Alexander Cárdenas: The experience was really good. I enjoyed the night with my friends, good drinks and the music was perfect. However, there was not enough air conditioning and very hot. Other that that good.
B Rene
B Rene: I have to give Sax 4/5 stars because of my experience. I took my mother here for her birthday about a week ago for the dinner and show. The atmosphere is REALLY intimate/dramatic. Quick bite: they give you some type of flavor popcorn. Unfortunately, the server came around and took the bowl while we still has popcorn in it and didn’t even ask us if we were done or if we wanted more. I just thought that might’ve been a nice courtesy. Appetizer: we ordered the cocktail shrimp (there were four fairly large shrimp. They were seasoned and cooked perfectly! My mom had their blackberry mesculin salad which was really good as well. Neither of us really cared for the vinaigrette that comes with it (too vinegar-y), but their ranch (which I believe is housemade) was really great! Drinks:my mom had what was originally served as a house shooter (They practically give these away) district was pretty refreshing, cool, and crisp. It’s pink, and forgive me I cannot remember the name of it. I had the art of the tease, Which is either whiskey or bourbon-based, but really tasty! Comes with some type of sugar crystals on a stick that’s a little bit longer and thicker than toothpick. Would definitely order again. Dinner: I tried the lamb... not so great. But traded for the Oscar NY strip....BOMB. It came with asparagus beets in the crabmeat. I don’t even know how to explain the flavor in the party in my mouth! But definitely a must try if you plan to visit. It definitely made up for any concern I had about the lamb. My mom had the Chimichurri steak frites. They came up very tender and juicy. Not quite as flavorful as the New York strip, but still really good. For sides (yes, they are à le carte) we had the mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. Both really good! Those are probably some the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had in my life! Not sure if that’s a thing, but for me that night it was. Only issue that I had with that was they don’t seem to have enough sides. I took pictures of the menu, so you’ll see what I mean. I just feel like maybe a little more variety would have been more intriguing. Dessert:didn’t really look too appetizing. Again, not enough menu options, and the few items that were there didn’t really spark my interest. Because it was my moms birthday, they did bring out cheesecake with a candle and two glasses of champagne. Not bad. Definitely nice that they were thoughtful enough to bring her something and celebrate with her. The cheesecake that they brought out was really good… Unfortunately I don’t remember seeing that (non dulce de leche) on the menu. Entertainment: They have a different set every 40 or 45 minutes after the hour. Definitely not raunchy or anything classless, But I would not recommend this place for kids under 16 maybe even 18. As this was my first time, I wasn’t really aware that the show takes place kind of at the eye level of the people sitting upstairs, and we ended up sitting downstairs. Still a great deal because the entertainment was also on the floor, but I feel like there were parts of the show that we missed when they were doing floor work in the skybox. We would have been able to see that better if we were on the second floor. Now we know for next time though. Last tidbit: No matter the size of your party or the time of day or the day of the week that you come in, they will be adding 22% gratuity to your bill automatically. Overall, my first Sax experience was great. Definitely book a reservation. They do have a two hour maximum time limit that they claim that they strictly enforce. I took plenty of photos for you guys...enjoy and pay a visit
Daisy de Santiago
Daisy de Santiago: The staff at SAX needs to learn the definition of hospitality. Better yet, they need to go back to hospitality school. We used to go to SAX several years ago until their shows became tasteless and raunchy. Then, we recently heard they rebranded their image as a legit supper club, so we decided to try them again. When we arrived, the place only had a few diners and the bar area that they call a “fast bar” but had no bartender in sight. So, we sat down at one of the tables to wait for a bartender to show up and watch the show that started. A service staff (if you can even call her that) walked up to us ask asked if we had a reservation. We said, we didn’t, but that we wanted to grab a drink. She immediately dismissed us and said we cannot sit in that area because the party who reserved it was about to arrive any minute now. Well, as evidenced by my photos below, it had been over an hour and no one had occupied the area where we were sitting. The bar downstairs was never staffed and we were told we needed to go to the upstairs bar to be served drinks. The bartender was the only hospitable person in that entire establishment. Also, when we moved to the other side of the restaurant, this time with our drinks in hand, we were approached yet again by someone who looked like he could be the manager. Rather than offer us a seating where we could enjoy our drinks, he simply told us that we cannot sit at that particular table. This place was a waste of visit. They were rude and dismissive. They ought to take a page out of Stephen Starr’s book when it comes to excellence in service and talent in the restaurant industry. Which, by the way, was where we headed after our time at this wannabe, overpriced, superficial supper club.
Desirea Conner
Desirea Conner: Sax is always a great time ! I went with my best friend for a pride event and we had so much fun !
Bryan Jordan
Bryan Jordan: Awesome decor and entertainment. Easily spend $200 between two people, so bring your $$$ but the drinks and food were executed very well. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great place for a date night, birthday party, or special event. We will be returning again for sure, well worth the trip into DC.
Dani Pass
Dani Pass: Never go here. The staff is so aggressive. As a woman I felt so unsafe. I saw their bouncer grab people by the neck and aggressively take people out in an unacceptable way. This person cannot be working there. Brendon, the one working at the door was completely unhelpful and ignorant about this serious situation.

Bar Charley: what do users think?
chparatrooper88
chparatrooper88: Great food. Mimosas and Bloody Mary morning. Price is just D.C Don’t be late for your reservation. Have a current id and Covid immunization proof. (Photo was fine).
Rob
Rob: This place has one of the best happy hours in town. Wonderfully crafted cocktails for $8 and awesome small eats options (Catalan fries and tuna tartare are a must). Their burger is also really good. We’ve gone a couple times for happy hour and will be back to try dinner or brunch soon.
Peter Fernandez
Peter Fernandez: The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable (although the host was a weirdo). We had great drinks--Manhattan, Nt yr prblm, and a Martini. For food it was the pork belly fried rice and the branzini. Both were great. We enjoyed it very much!
William Branch
William Branch: This was such a lovely brunch experience! Bar Charley’s is a cozy place with charming wait staff and a delicious menu! They were gracious enough to accommodate our unusually large group of 16 people. The service was exceptional. I would highly recommend this place, but make sure you reserve well in advance. Their reservations run out quickly!
Chiara
Chiara: Great chicken and waffles. I should’ve asked for extra syrup- the only syrup I got were those tiny dribbles on the plate! Very good food though. The patio was nice but a little loud- be prepared if you have bad hearing. I’ll definitely come back to try their other foods :)
Andy
Andy: Bottomless mimosas was so fun here on a Saturday morning. Food was okay, but I did order a rather boring dish (eggs and bacon). The atmosphere is 10/10! Cozy, intimate, hip. Service was 6/10, as they kept haggling us to leave and stop drinking mimosas 😂
Brandon Leipzig
Brandon Leipzig: Nice location. Great food. Entree portions are sized for people to get appetizers and dessert. The Hanger Steak was cooked perfectly and tasted awesome, just wish there was more sides with it. Wait staff was on top of things with drinks and water. Went on a Sunday evening and it was 25% off steak entrées. Get there early if you want the ribeye it will sell out fast. Seating was tight for our large group in the front corner booth table.
Samantha
Samantha: I adore Bar Charley. I continue to come back here. The manager I always run into is a wonderful guy. All-night happy hour on Mondays and brunch are their strong suits. Get the truffle aioli no matter what you order and try that incredible Charley sauce on the weekend brunch burger.
Megan Root
Megan Root: After another reservation fell through, we came here for dinner. They found us a table on their patio which was perfectly warm even in 30 degree weather. The drinks were delicious and the food was excellent! I recommend the steak satay, sesame chimichurri was delicious. And crispy brussels sprouts are always a good idea!

Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar - Washington, D.C.: what do users think?
Da-Wang Wu
Da-Wang Wu: One of my favorite restaurants in DC. The interior design is pretty cool, and the ambience is great. My favorite is the seafood soup, very flavorful with lots of seafood inside. During dinner time (after 4pm), they serve toasted bread with mango butter, super refreshing flavor! Chicken croquette, fried yuca and empanadas are all very good. Guacamole is beautiful decorated but not the best one I’ve ever had. Paella doesn’t feel right, pretty wet. Churro as an ending dessert to be meal is a great option. Reservation might be needed during peak hours.
Response: Thank you for the great review, Da-Wang Wu! We're thrilled that you enjoyed your dining experience at Cuba Libre! We appreciate your praise for our decor and delicious dishes. The soup and empanadas were fantastic choices! Come back soon! Muchas gracias! -Matthew Fox General Manager, Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar Washington, DC
Vikram Seshadri

Michelle Edgar
Michelle Edgar: We spent years in “little Cuba” in Hialeah FL, so we are pretty well versed in cuban food. This was stellar! Drinks were strong but flavorful. My husband and I got the mixed grill to share and it did not disappoint! If we come back to the dc area this will be our first stop!
Response: Muchas Gracias, Michelle! We are thrilled that our great food and delicious drinks exceeded your expectations. We look forward to hosting you again in the future for another great experience! -Matthew Fox General Manager, Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar Washington, DC
