Haresh Mehta: The store without a doubt lives up to the Leica standard. No rush rush sales pressure, no up-selling, just a fantastic educated opinion from Leica Ambassadors. I met with Christopher, he helped me trade in my visoflex and get the new one, completed the paperwork for the service of my m10R, while I enjoyed browsing through their gallery and books. Happy to buy from here and revisit.
C Davidson: Excellent shows and small gallery. Knowledgeable sales rep and they understand the Leica mystique. Helped a friend buy an M10 here with a 50 Summicron and used 28 Elmarit. The Elmarit looked brand new.

Suzy Fitzgerald: I love District Camera! When I was living in DC this was the only place that I would get my film developed. Syed is the best, he is so friendly and answers all my camera and film questions! The scanning and development process is timely and the quality is very good. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for somewhere to get film developed!
Demna Devdariani: Today, I went to the store to look for a battery for my flashlight. Ken, who was sitting beside the computer, helped me find out which exact battery I needed. He was very kind, professional, and genuinely cared about finding the item even though the store did not carry that particular battery. He spent around 15-20 minutes looking for the item online for me. He was the most genuine and helpful store associate I have interacted with in recent years.
J F: I visited the shop today and I was greeted by the nicest employee, Ken! I was a little nervous to go in because I am quite a novice when it comes to photography. Luckily, Ken sensed my hesitation and kindly and patiently walked me through the entire process. I mean the entire process — film, shooting, and setting up my cameras. Also, Ken made sure to let me know what cameras were worth investing. I wish I could give this place 10 stars just because of Ken! I definitely will come back again !
Jon Bauer: In Washington for for a conference and found myself in immediate need of a card reader. Not the easiest thing to find. But when I googled nearby photography stores they came up. Only a couple blocks away. Not only that, I was met with most knowledgeable & friendly staff I could imagine. The store is stocked with new & used equipment. A small downtown oasis!

I was almost two months late to pick up my developed photos; against all odds, Ken and Deon found them for me after looking for about 20 minutes. To be clear: they didn’t need to do this; they simply went above and beyond. Gianina Lash: 100% recommend! came to them with a time-sensitive need for a battery charger for an older DSLR camera that we needed to use for an event 8 hours later. they helped us find a store that had the right type of charger in stock and charged the battery for us in the meantime. So impressed with their service and help when we were in a pinch!
Michael Sanchez: Brought in my Canon AE-1 Program to repair a jam, which they were able to do, albeit expensively (they were very transparent with costs throughout the process). The repair seems to have worked great, however the mirror is now extremely dirty, which is why I’m docking one star. Overall happy with the repair but definitely make sure to check everything before accepting your camera.

As a professional photographer, I always appreciate the hospitable customer service as well as the great selection of products that are competitively priced when compared to online retailers like Amazon or B&H. Kiffa Shirley: Excellent service, clean store, full of big screen TVs ready for Christmas shoppers. If you’ve not been to the Columbia Heights Best Buy, is so convenient to the metro, and other shopping, and it put me in the Christmas Spirit.
Lady Elexia: I love best buy as a rule, no matter where I find them. The columbia heights location is nice, but it is a bit on the small side. While I could find the basics, their selection of new items was a bit lack lusture. Customer service is always perfect, at least in my experiences.
Dawn Develin: Mack was amazing. He sat with me patiently and help me with my phone purchase. I very confused and not very savvy with technology and he treated me with respect and help me through every step without getting frustrated. Overall everybody at Best buy has been phenomenal but he went above and beyond.

Isaac J: Such a cool spot to rent. They have more than competitive prices without the shipping costs for locals. The only knock is drop offs. They only have weekday hours, so commuting into the city during the work week is tough. I’m hoping they’ll have drop off partners in Virginia and Maryland.
Rashad Smith: Aperturent is very convenient! You can just order and pick up the same day. They don’t always charge an arm and leg for deposits. I hope they continue to stay the way they are. Definitely recommend to try them.

President Trump: I had an amazing experience at this store! I bought a lot of political merchandise and postcards! The owner was helpful, kind, and pleasant. We had a great conversation! Matthew Schumacher: Best Buy is great as everybody who has ever gone to one knows. We stopped in to Best Buy to price some washers and dryers for our new home. They have fair pricing and what is even better is that they have a 4 week turn around time for the LG washer and dryer we are interested in. From what I hear from others, delivery for a washer and dryer is extremely delayed from most other companies. Having a 4 week turn around time is all the more reason for us to purchase our LG washer and dryer from Beat Buy.
Michael Patrick: Good experience today when buying products in store while waiting for an online order to be fulfilled. The product I ordered online was ready for pickup in 15 minutes. I was greeted by staff when entering and exiting. The store was clean and organized. The staff at checkout were fast and polite.

Kerry Delf: Small but fairly well provisioned food section, with both snack foods and some home groceries, heavy on the convenience foods. Prices are high but better than other stores in the area. Conveniently open until 11 p.m. on Saturdays, in an area where other stores close at 9 or 10, but it closes earlier on other days of the week. Free parking with store validation. Downside: Service was sparse and heavily dependent on self-service—there were no employees on the floor helping customers, and of three employees around the checkout counter, only one was operating a register, quite lackadaisically.
Peyton Doyle: Great small format Target in a really accessible part of Cleveland Park (and just steps from the Metro stop). Impressed with their selection of fresh foods. Nice home goods section too. Unique underground store. Really friendly employees! I will certainly be back.

Sassy Sauce: This store opened a couple years ago and it’s always nice and clean. The day I went after work the store must have just received a truck because there were boxes of product on most of the aisles. But this store is generally very clean and organized. This isn’t a normal sized target though, it’s definitely smaller and has more of a convenient store type feel. But all of the normal Target staples are still there. There is parking under the store and it’s accessible using the escalators or elevator. There is a Starbucks as well. It’s a great store to visit!
livingmytruth 2: Joan has the best customer service ever. I came in this location with my 98 year old grandma and she made my grandma feel sooo good and proud and she really has a positive attitude. Thank you for making my grandmother’s shopping experience so pleasant . I will actually make this my home store now because of her pleasant demeanor

Jt Thompson: The staff here is so amazing! So helpful and attentive. They hold equipment release gatherings, meet and greets, and educational workshops. When you rent from them, for all intents and purposes, your project becomes their project. They see that all your equipment is in top order and that all your needs are met. Sherry Garay: I am an amateur photographer and I used to drive out to Burke to another local camera shop. I decided to give Dominion a try, and I am so glad I did! This is a locally owned “mom and pop” business and it feels good to support a small local business, instead of putting more money in the pocket of a man who wants to play around in outer space. The staff at the store are super knowledgeable. One of them used to work for Canon and can tell you everything you need to know about Canon gear. They helped me make my decision on moving to a new mirrorless camera. I believe they are the only local shop that does their film developing on site. They also do black and white developing by hand. My prints look better than they have in years! They also sell an array of cool films to play around with. I picked up a roll of Dracula film from Romania. They also take passport photos and guarantee them as acceptable by the State Department. I also just found out their classes have started back up and they have a studio space upstairs they rent out. Seriously, if you are a pro photographer or just an amateur like me, then support this local business. This is a great camera shop, with just about anything you could possibly need, including a used gear bargain shelf!
Mike Tike: Gary is the best. I was looking for ZV-E10 ( sold out everywhere you can check that right now) but I swore it was sold out. He told me hd actually had one and the color I wanted. He looked all over the store and finally found it. That’s customer service you won’t find at Best Buy. I’m so happy with my purchase this is the only place I’m going to for camera equipment and vlogging gear.

Some highlights: - Fixed my film camera for free after taking it in - Good film development and quick turnaround - Spent several days and hours going over a new camera to purchase. They were helpful and patient to make sure I got what would fit my needs. Highly recommend.
sahra ahmad: I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while now. I love supporting small businesses, and this one is one of my favorites. It is right near my office and taking my film to get developed and print is so nice. I appreciate that unlike the big corporations (CVS, Walmart, etc) they only make you pay for the photos that they found, so if a piece of film was bad, they don’t charge you for a print of that. I also enjoy that it is so quickly done! Unlike the big corporations that take up to like 2 weeks, they took only a fraction of that time. The quality of the picture paper was nice too- I always go with a matte finish. Nicest people ever work there, and overall I would highly recommend! I know this sounds like a fake review, but I promise this is 100% legit. I can’t wait to take more of my film to get developed.

Alan Cinsavich: I heard about this place from a colleague and the moment I stepped into the store I think I fell in love and went to heaven at the same time. For professional photography and videography this place has everything! And I mean everything! Camera bodies, lenses, flashes, lighting, backgrounds, bags, filters, accessories, camcorders to Cinema HD cameras and the list can go on. And even more amazing they have film camera and can also develop B&W and Color film! Robert the manager was super nice, had a great sense of humor and very helpful and knowledgeable. They also accept trade-in. I live in Maryland and while this place may be far from home for me I am definitely planning on making special trips to this Mecca of Camera Stores.

Sassy Sauce: Mixed experience with this store. It’s a good location and there is parking available in the underground garage. First 2 hours are free. The store has items locked in a case that I couldn’t understand. For example, women’s underwear and some personal hygiene items. Also, the store wasn’t too crowded while I was there and the associate I asked to help me gave me clear directions as to what aisle the product I needed would on. The parts of the store I visited were clean and the overall shopping experience was ok. No major complaints. Just strange observations about profits being locked behind glass.

Vi Rodriguez: This is a very cool building to visit. The history behind it is also very interesting which you can learn all about it in the basement. The building is very clean!! Lots of staff available to help answer any questions you may have. The first and main floor is the Apple store but it’s not like a regular Apple store. There is a huge selection of all of Apple’s products. On the second floor is a digital art gallery and the library but they were both clothed when I came on a Saturday. Still a cool visit and it’s free to enter and walk around.
livingmytruth 2: Michael, Gunner and Taylor were absolutely amazing. This was by far the best Apple store i ever been in. As soon as i walked in the door i was greeted by Taylor and Michael. They made me feel at home. They answered all my questions and eased all my fears about this big new location. Then i met with Gunner ( who happens to be deaf) and he was absolutely a joy. He was efficient, fast and he really made me feel comfortable through my process of getting an new ipad. Way to go Apple, this is the kind of experience i am looking for
Daria Willis: The Apple Store was quite an experience! I loved it! The staff was wonderful! Knowledgeable, helpful and courteous! I had an appointment for a phone and I requested help with my Mac laptop. They took care of it, cleaned it up and now its almost like new even though it is 8 yrs old! Excellent!!!

Charlie Olsen: Great service from the staff. Walked in and immediately had a staff member helping me and was out with my purchase in less than 15 minutes. Also the library building has a museum upstairs that’s really cool. 10/10 shopping experience.

I highly recommend making an appointment before visiting as this beautifully located store stays busy, although the staff there has been extremely helpful and understanding even on the times when I showed up without an appointment. :)
