Marne Marotta: Jessica is just amazing with kids. She somehow manages to keep my VERY active kids engaged and she always manages to get amazing shots. We’ve had other photographers that were good, but none compare to Jessica. Not only are the sessions enjoyable (even with a 2 and 4 year old), we end up with so many great pictures. Truly, the hardest part is figuring out which pictures to frame!

Ramesh Raut: Saw the positive reviews on google and decided contact her for the maternity session. The process itself was very smooth from the beginning. She provided the consultation and explained what to expect on the day of the session. She is well organized, professional, and detail oriented about her work. She provided preparation guide which was very helpful. On the day of the session, my wife just went to the beautician in her pj and from there directly went to her office for photo session. Since it was all about the mom, she quickly photographed family pictures and provided much of the time taking pictures of the mom with different dresses. There is also a nice playroom for Toodler to keep them occupied. It went very smoothly and we were happy about the pictures she delivered, all the pictures were awesome. In addition, she is very flexible with her schedule. I definitely recommend her.

Caitlin Dilks: We hired Mary Catherine to be our photographer for our wedding last month. I’ve known Mary since we were college roommates, and there was no question who I wanted to choose for our photographer. She also did our gorgeous engagement photos last summer, but these wedding pictures are some of her best work yet! I’ve always known she has a real talent for photography – her uncanny ability to get candid shots that show a broad range of emotions is second to none. Mary spent the whole day with us, running around between hotel rooms to get each of the bridal and groom’s parties for getting ready, and she was incredible at thinking on the fly when we woke up that day to a full rainy forecast in a town where none of us were locals. She scouted around our hotel and found a charming little garden for first look photos just before one pocket of rain fell, and easily swapped around our whole morning schedule to dart all the pockets of rain and still take incredible photos. If anything, the rain was a blessing in disguise – it made coordinating our wedding party a little harder, but Mary ran the show and got all our shots (details, wedding party, first look, family portraits) BEFORE THE CEREMONY like I’d hoped. I knew my now husband and whole family/wedding party would be itching to eat and drink ASAP come cocktail hour, so we had a goal of knocking out all pictures early – we were successful! Everyone LOVED that they were free to enjoy themselves as soon as the recessional ended (especially my now husband, who just wanted to take off his suit jacket already!). We thought on the fly and took our pictures in the nearby Amtrak/Metro North train station. The station was built in the 1940’s and has large windows and beautiful wood paneling, and the upper platform crosswalk was all forest green metal. Coupled with the misty sky, the backgrounds matched perfectly for my color scheme (colors were dusty sage with lots of greenery and peach flowers). In addition to stunning posed shots, all the candid shots are gorgeous. She got a shot of my husband and I looking at each other when my dad finished walking me down the aisle, of each of our expressions as the other was reading their vows, our families smiling/laughing/holding hands. At the reception, she captured beautiful pictures of so many of our families and couple friends dancing together in both fast and slow songs – every one of them has the look of pure love. Seriously, hire this woman for ALL your photography needs. She’s the real deal. Mary Catherine Wickham is and will be our go-to photographer for all of life’s moments in the future!

Colby Wittenberg: We chose Mary Catherine for our infant/ family photos for our 3rd child. Taking pictures with kids ( ages 3,1, and 1 month) is no easy feat! But Mary Catherine was FANTASTIC. She made us all feel at ease, even my husband! She was playful with the kids so that they acted natural and their true personalities were represented in the pictures. She was helpful in the days leading up as to recommendations of what to wear, and ideas for the kids. She told us what she was looking for in the final product but let the family also " act natural" so the kids cooperated. The use of light in the pictures was fantastic and made this tired old mama look her best! The final product were the best pictures I have seen of our kids and family. We used them for Christmas cards and have gotten SO many compliments! I HIGHLY recommend Mary Catherine! We were very pleased!

We booked her for a maternity photo session, and she was very responsive from the start, provided an abundance of info (especially in her guide!), and made it clear what next steps/action items were. We had to reschedule our shoot the day before due to an event at our selected location, and Mary Catherine was extremely accommodating and helpful in coming up with plan B, and then plan C. She was also fantastic in handling our dogs during our photo session, getting some amazing shots of them. I arrived for my headshot session and he was friendly, accommodating and explained the whole process to me as this was my first headshot experience. We had a few scheduling conflicts (the weather sucks in January lol) but Tina made sure she got me in for my daughters photos as soon as she could and worked around my schedule! The way she sees the subjects has me in a complete awe. I appreciate how she is competent with all pigmentations and complexion. As a woman of color, working with a photographer that knows lighting and ways to enhance all different skin colors was very important to me. I wanted Tina to photograph my daughter a few years ago but due to scheduling conflicts and procrastination on my end, I was unable to hire her. Luckily, I got pregnant again. The whole process working with Tina was so smooth and from the first email I’ve understood how professional she is. Tina’s home studio is perfect for your newborn photoshoot, starting from warm temperature, comfort area for parents and amazing collection of props. Tina was so gentle with our baby that she slept almost whole session. And the result of Tina’s work was incredible, we loved every photo. Highly recommended!

Our newborn photo session was canceled due to Covid-19 and rescheduled once additional safety measures had been established. We felt completely safe in the studio, with everyone wearing masks and HEPA filters in use. Tina was wonderful with our son and the pictures came our beautiful!

Nicki W: I cannot say how THANKFUL enough we are for how absolutely wonderful our newborn photo shoot was with Norma! Honestly, it was such a blessing to our family. We’ve never had a professional photo shoot and both me and my husband kept talking after about how comfortable and good we felt about the day. Zoe Tamayo: I did maternity photos and we had so much fun! She was so nice and patient with me and my baby. My child is 11 months so he’s all over the place wanting to touch everything and climb on me but she handled it like a pro!!! I would 100% recommend her! We did so many poses and many outfits I seriously can’t wait to see the photos. We go back to do newborn photos and I’m already so excited to work with her again! Alicia: Man...where do I even begin? Every year for my daughter’s birthday I get pictures of us together (which I later found is called a Mommy & Me photoshoot). My daughter’s most recent birthday (July 2019), the photographer I had hired to take our pictures ended up “ghosting” (not responding, incognito) us the same week we had scheduled to have them done :(. Needless to say I was heartbroken because for me it’s not just pictures, it’s being able to catch a moment in time with my favorite person in the whole wide world and being able to cherish that day for the rest of my life all in the form of a photograph. Fast forward to February of this year and it had still been eating away at me that I hadn’t been able to get our annual Mommy and Me pictures done so I took to the internet in hopes of finding THE photographer - that is Norma Fayak. When I tell you I was adamant on having Norma take our pictures I kid you not, I called her twice back to back just make sure she got my first voicemail because I INSTANTLY fell in love with her portfolio and knew right then and there I couldn’t have anyone else take our pictures. Norma was very not only quick to return my calls (lol) but also incredibly efficient. She had immediate availability which was great because I wanted the pictures in time for Valentine’s Day and I had only made the appointment 2 weeks in advance. She was incredibly flexible with her hours and accommodating which made Norma all that more perfect since I work a swing shift which requires me to work slightly odd hours. When I explained this to Norma she had ZERO issues accommodating not only my work schedule (which required her to rearrange her own PERSONAL life with her family) but also with scheduling us early enough so we would be able to have our pictures ready by Valentine’s Day! Norma was so attentive and hands on from literally start to finish. I felt comfortable sending her my wardrobe options which she was genuinely happy to help with to help give me the “look,” I wanted for the pictures even prior to the photoshoot. Side note: the dress in my pictures is the one she recommended for me to wear! After sending Norma what I was thinking to wear, I explained I was struggling with finding the perfect dress for my mini me when Norma assured me she had it covered and explained she had dresses, rompers and the like in different colors/sizes etc which matched my dress PERFECTLY! The studio was very easy to find with available parking and don’t get me started on the ambiance. The studio was beautifully lit and decorated. I had brought my own rose petals but Norma had endless props and things to use to capture these breath taking photos, which really made the whole experience stress free and FUN! Norma was able to capture my daughter and my relationship NATURALLY with very little “staging,” or “posing,” which I appreciated a lot. I was absolutely amazed at how personable and genuine Norma was, that by the end of the shoot she was more than a photographer to both myself and my daughter, but a friend! She made this experience, quick, painless, FUN and one to remember! Did I mention how much fun we had (including Norma) when shooting these pictures?! How many people can say that about family pictures, especially with a toddler! Norma was absolutely spectacular with my daughter and kept things fun and interesting for her so as to keep things running smoothly. By the end of the PhotoShoot I had already decided I was going to have her take our pictures again for my daughters birthday coming up in July. Norma you could tell was genuinely excited and happy to make it happen. She even gave me the ideas for location and color schemes and I literally cannot wait for July to do it all again. Words cannot describe how much this shoot meant to me but Norma knew! Truly an amazing and beautiful experience I’ll never forget. I’m eternally grateful for having found THE photographer that is Norma Fayak.

We read tons of reviews, but without working with someone or getting recommendations from friends, how can you really know? Erin worked with us to make sure we were comfortable, and let us do our engagement shoot before signing a wedding contract. She’s incredibly professional, and we were so happy with the photos. We got her on contract after receiving our engagement photos, and we’re so glad we did. Working with her directly meant she had flexibility to work with us on all the details. She knew going into the wedding exactly what we wanted, and delivered. She made sure we stood up straight, that we were where we needed to be at all times, and the pictures came out better than we could have hoped. She worked quietly in the background all night, pulled us aside when needed, and was just constantly professional. We’ve received a number of unprompted compliments from family members on Erin. Not just on the pictures, but on the way she worked during the wedding itself. While we’re still waiting on the final set of pictures, I would definitely recommend Erin.

Stephanie Halsne: We hired Erin for our engagement photo session right DC opened back up after COVID. She was able to schedule us quickly despite dealing with a ton of reschedules. The day of the shoot she was super accommodating and patient working with us as we brought along our two dogs. She even brought a squeaky toy to hold their attention! The price was super reasonable, and Erin was able to get our photos back to us 9 days before we expected. Would recommend!

Chelsea S: Erin was great! We used her for our engagement photos first, and then signed on for our wedding photos. She was incredibly responsive and easy to work with. We were very unaccustomed to being in front of the camera, especially for formal/professional pictures. She gave us excellent directions and made us feel much more at ease. We loved how our engagement photos turned out, but (almost) more importantly, they showed us what poses worked best and what we liked and didn’t like. We met with Erin to discuss all we’d learned during the engagement shoot, and she was really receptive, and excited that the first photo session had served its purpose of being a test run for the wedding. For the big day itself, Erin was amazing! She was, of course, prompt, and prepped and ready to go. She had visited our venue a few days prior and knew exactly where she wanted to photograph us. I (the bride) was running late, so she used this time to snap pics of my accessories, flowers, and dress. But she was also so much fun to chat with, and helped me stay calm! She remembered all the things we mentioned from our engagement session, and gave us lots of posing cues, and reminders to stand up straight and turn this way or that way, to make us look our best and most natural. With so many other things to remember on our big day, it was a huge weight off to have her take care of all that! We don’t have our full gallery of wedding photos yet, but the ‘sneak peek’ she sent out is awesome. It’s a really nice touch that she sends you a quick sample after your photo session, and has enabled us to share some beautiful memories with family and friends. We’re so excited to see the rest!
