She is also incredibly creative and has a TON of options - the selection is unmatched! I am currently living in NY while my fiancé is living in Northern VA at the moment. I reached out to Heidi on a whim hoping that she would be available to take our engagement photos with only a couple days notice while I was visiting my fiancé. She responded to me in less than 24 hours and was completely accommodating and happy to be able to take our photos with such short notice. Before our session, she was incredibly helpful, guiding us as to what to wear, what to expect, and wanted to make sure she knew our story so as to capture our vision in the photos. She made sure we incorporated touches that were special to us, even letting us bring our dog for a couple of photos! We spoke through everything on the phone and she even was able to text if I needed to ask her a quick question before the session. My fiancé and I were apprehensive before the photos as we don't necessarily love being in front of a camera, but Heidi made it such a comfortable, relaxing, enjoyable, and fun experience for us! It felt so natural and being with her was like being with an old friend. She directed us and helped us, but also took a step back and just let us be ourselves. It was like she wasn't there sometimes (in the best way), but also was such a soft, warm, and kind presence, laughing and making jokes with us! My fiancé and I both said what a great experience it was and how it actually brought us closer as a couple. She was quick to give us our sneak peaks which made me so excited to see the rest! She sent us the finished photos in less than a week, and we were left speechless. Her photos are truly magic...romantic, classic, bright, airy, whimsical, clean, fresh, timeless...I could go on. Not only does she work magic with her photos, she is an incredibly kind, easy, and fun person to work with. We had used Heidi to take our Engagement Photos and we knew we’d love to have her take our photos for our next milestone, which was my Maternity Photos with our twins! It was like being with an old friend again. Not only was she incredibly patient with me and my husband not being total naturals in front of the camera, she was thorough, took charge, and gave great direction so we didn’t feel as if we were floundering to find “the right pose.” The hour flew by because of how much fun we were having and she was so considerate to how we were feeling and if there was anything we would like to capture in particular. After having to reschedule due to me being sick, she was incredibly accommodating and patient making sure to squeeze us in to make sure we were able to get these photos before our twins were born. You can’t imagine the feeling you get once she sends you your “Sneak Peaks!” They truly took my breath away. We had an overcast, rainy day for our photos and although I had no doubt she’d be able to create magic with her photos, she managed to make it look bright, like we had the most gorgeous light on our day…airy, fresh, romantic, and whimsical. Her attention to detail is amazing, picking up the colors of the Spring flowers around us and the greenery of Spring. These photos will be priceless to have throughout the years. I am a first time mom, Yaffa made me feel so special during our newborn photos. She set up a meeting to go over her mission, how the session will be conducted, and our wants/wishes for the photos. During the session she made the environment extremely calming, she provided snacks, took safety precautions for our baby, and ensured this first time mom that I will make it though this newborn stage.
