Sara Stesis: Jess worked with us to do a maternity shoot. She was so fun to work with and got us laughing naturally so that our pictures looked like "us". We loved some of the candid moments she got of the two of us before we became the three of us. Jess is professional easy to work with and talented behind the camera. We loved working with her so much we are going to work with her again for our family photos now that little man has joined us.
Marne Marotta: Jessica is just amazing with kids. She somehow manages to keep my VERY active kids engaged and she always manages to get amazing shots. We’ve had other photographers that were good, but none compare to Jessica. Not only are the sessions enjoyable (even with a 2 and 4 year old), we end up with so many great pictures. Truly, the hardest part is figuring out which pictures to frame!
Jon Haines: Jessica is an incredibly talented photographer, and AMAZING with kids. I had not realized just how much work it is to keep an 8 month old smiling and attentive during a photo session, but Jessica brought the energy required (at 8 in the morning on a cold day in the park, mind you) to capture our kid at his best. We could not be more pleased with her work and plan to use her for our annual family photos in the future.
Kaitlin Athmer: We have returned to Jessica multiple times now--started with a newborn photo shoot with our 1st almost 5 years ago, multiple fall family sessions, and will be scheduling again when baby #3 arrives later this year! We love how great she has been with our kids, how quickly she is able to get dozens of great photos, and the turn around time of ALL the photos she takes. We always have too many to choose from for our holiday cards or gifts to grandparents!
Ashley Blinstrub: Jessica was absolutely amazing to work with! So easy to get everything booked and scheduled and she was able to adapt to photographing an unpredictable newborn very easily! She was great to chat with during the photoshoot and worked well posing the entire family and the dog! The photos turned out beautifully and came back very quickly too! It was clearly obvious to us that Kirth was an outstanding photographer from looking at his past work. His photos are works of art! But what truly sets him apart is the thorough process in which he caters to his clients, the meticulous approach to his work/art, and the conspicuous passion for his profession. When we booked Kirth to shoot our engagement and wedding photos, he made it his priority to get to know us a couple more, our story, and how we would like our memories to be curated. After he got to know us better, he carefully explained what his process is like, what was his objective, and ensured it aligned with our interests and input. He also kept in constant communication with us between shoots, updating us on any new information, requests, and/or concerns. On the day of shoots Kirth ensured that we were comfortable, and most importantly, that we were having fun! Believe it or not, posing all day for pictures can be super stressful. But Kirth made it was an enjoyable experience. Kirth was also remarkable in getting great shots of the people and the scenes of the wedding; capturing a variety of candid expressions and moments that told an incredible story of our wedding day. To this day, everyone who views our photos always comment on how astonishing they are. And so do we! Having Kirth as our photographer was such a rewarding decision for us. dekayla johnson: It really doesn’t get any better. I have the upmost respect for the company they are amazing. So very professional and organized two of the vest things a company can be in my opinion. They are very respectful as well and made me feel so comfortable. Nafa was my photographer she was so professional and easy going she made everything so perfect help me through my poses and posture just everything, she made me feel so beautiful like I was a model!! The assistants Sarah and there was another one I forgot her name they were so helpful and professional as well. Every penny I paid was worth it. The experience was amazing so fun. They provided literally almost everything from wardrobe, accessories jewelry, props, etc. They are so patient and understanding I had to take a small break from getting overwhelmed and exhausted and they were so understanding and waited till I was ready I was shooting for 2 hours which was great because I was able to get so many pictures. My time at Judah Avenue was perfect and I would recommend anyone to book an appointment with this company. I can go on and on but I will leave it here. Lisa L: WOW! Just WOW! Had to schedule a graduation photo shoot from Texas for my daughter in DC. Not only did Damon make every step so easy but after talking with him on the phone and getting to know him a bit I was even more excited to work with him. He is exceptional...Literally, no other way to describe him. His work style, sense of humor, creativity, patience, you name it are all incredible. The pics we received were outstanding too! Keep in mind that we had no easy task for him... juggling a blended family, a morning when bad weather threatened and a senior pup, he juggled it all effortlessly and made for one of the best and most fun photo sessions I have ever been a part of. I had initially chosen Damon based on the ratings on here and boy they did not let me down. If you are looking for someone with imagination, great communication and a fantastic eye for capturing a special moment in your life book Damon now!!! You will NOT regret it! He was always accessible and helped us through planning and postponing due to Covid. We were able to work with him for our micro wedding in 2020 and then again in 2021 for our bigger wedding - both occasion gave us the most amazing pictures that are now framed throughout out house. Jennifer Dougherty: Denis is an incredible photographer. We met him in DC for family photos. He has a keen eye for perfect lighting. He was able to direct and explain how to stand or pose for optimal photos. He worked extremely well with my teenage son, making them laugh when they needed a natural smile, and explaining how to pose even though it was awkward. He made it seamless, easy, and fun for all of us. It happened to be about 90 degrees that morning and, despite the heat and my son’s incessant complaining, he took it in stride and got some amazing photos that we’ll cherish forever!

Bianca Cheek: I am so happy that I found Sara! She is amazing, outgoing and fun to work with! Our photoshoot for our 6 month old son was a huge success. You can tell that she is amazing with kids. She was able to make our son have fun throughout the session! He’s very curious and loves to look around his surroundings but Sara was able to get him to focus and smile for the camera! The studio that we were at is one of the best I have ever seen- highly recommend to check out Oddbox studio! The photos came out beautifully and I loves the casual aesthetic to it ( which is the theme I was going for). Thomas Feeney: Heidi is the best photographer! She will go above and beyond to make sure your photos look like they belong on the cover of a magazine! We love her light and airy style! All of the photos are bright and her attention to detail is impeccable. She will guide you through the entire process from helping you choose what to wear to choosing the perfect location for your photos! We are in love with all of our photos from our family session. I was only like 2 weeks away from my birthday and wanted to do a 40 and Fabulous shoot with my best friend who just turned 40. Not only did Paco have time to shoot me and my bff before my 40th birthday, but he took some time out of his busy schedule to make sure at least a few of my pics were edited and ready for me for my birthday. Katie Vaillancourt: I am so happy with our photos from our family/newborn photo session - it was nearly impossible to narrow down the photos! Nataly was extremely responsive and answered all my questions. I was first looking for a safe photographer for our newborn in this crazy time and Nataly and her assistant took great precautions - newborn studio is separate from a second studio and very clean studio. She is also incredibly creative and has a TON of options - the selection is unmatched! Shikha Chaurasia: We had our engagement photoshoot with Mantas, and it went fantastically! He made it easy for us to be ourselves, and we felt the pictures managed to capture not just us, but our personalities. This lended itself to a rather unique invitation that we were happy with (the back included a picture of us chasing some geese). Our photoshoot was in a garden on a sunny day, I was wearing my favorite yellow dress… the photos are so wonderfully colorful! And yet one of our favorites happened to be a black and white one, I guess he’s just that good. Mantas also makes very creative use of the “props” available (geese that happened to be around, chairs that happened to be empty, an interesting perspective taken through a welcome sign that happened to be there). Definitely would recommend him!

We hired Chris to capture some fun moments of us at our original wedding venue and some other spots around town. Once at our wedding venue (DAR), Chris captured us at our best. He focused on all the best angles, lighting, background, etc. Chris made us look better than we did on our wedding day! Man, we wish we hired him almost 6 years ago! We even brought our dog along for the photo shoot and Chris made sure to capture our pup in just the right light so he could shine too! We jumped around town to other locations and Chris was able to adapt to the location, figure out what would work for the picture. He was quick and he was exact. Chris was professional and able to provide suggestions on poses, backdrops etc. Chris was responsive whether it be email, phone or text. A breeze to work with! He teased us with a couple of photos before sending us the entire finished portfolio of pictures from our photo session and we knew then we’d have great photos. Again, I wish we had met Chris years ago because our wedding photos would have been 100x times better.

Jennifer Spencer: My fiancé and I found Chris Ferenzi photography after a thorough web search. We liked his style and I was immediately drawn to his work. When I look at his photos I see a fresh perspective; crisp, clean pictures that look real and in the moment. I emailed Chris’ about his service and availability on a late Friday afternoon and he responded in less than two hours! Prior to booking our wedding date, Chris and I spoke over the phone for about an hour. I gave him our background “story,” what we were looking for in a photographer, and of course what type of final products we wanted. I was undecided about how many actual pictures to purchase and if we should order a book, etc., and Chris help walked me through the options and let me make decisions along the way. Olivia Hannah: Allison is AMAZING! My in laws gifted me a maternity session with her on the recommendation of my doula. They worked out a date but she actually bumped us up earlier because my due date was close and the weather looked much better. You get so much for your value. She provided beautiful outfits and a changing tent so you can change on site with privacy and the dress was gorgeous. She also let me use my wedding dress to take photos in since we didn’t get professional photos on our wedding day, which was amazing. (we got married in the beginning of my third trimester so it still fit) We did a gorgeous sunrise shoot and the weather was perfect. Allison is so kind and very professional. She has an amazing eye and had so many great ideas to give us the best possible product. The pictures came out so natural and gorgeous but made me feel so beautiful even at 38 weeks pregnant. Jacquelyn Pankova: We booked Allison for maternity and newborn photos. She explained her COVID changes upfront, so we knew exactly what we were getting. Each of the sessions were efficient and productive :) She knew each of the locations she recommended to us so that we did not have to spend much time trying to get the right angle or shot. The best part was the turn around time for the photos - each time we got our album back much quicker than we were expecting.... and the photos were of course amazing. I would recommend for any family looking for an efficient, comfortable way to get amazing professional photos.
Christelle Gogue: Allison is great! I got a free maternity photoshoot session as part of some educational work she was doing. The communication was perfect, she is super responsive and provides a great amount of details. We had to cancel our first meeting because of the weather and she was on top of it all, i.e. rescheduling, finding another available location, keeping an eye on the weather. She gave me maternity dresses options, helped me get dressed, walked me through all the poses pretty seamlessly (I’m very uncomfortable posing for pictures), and was just very kind, patient and professional throughout. The pictures came out amazing, thanks to Allison mainly (not my modeling skills)

Karen Benitez: We all adore working with Stefanie! She has created an office video for us, as well as professional head shots. She has an eye for lighting and details. She mastered getting many kids in the office video when they were all amped up! I mean, nailed it!! On a personal note, our kids had so much fun with her (even in the cold!) taking family photos. Stefanie is easy to communicate with and she just has a way of understanding the sweet, fun and homey family charm you are wishing to capture. We cannot recommend her enough!!!
