Navy Lodge: what do users think?
Tee P
Tee P: Air quality from the air conditioner is terrible. I was sick as a dog on the third day we had to move out. I know it was the air conditioner because when it wasn’t on and we opened the window everyone breathed better. We turned it on at nights and we all were congested and snotty in the mornings. I got really sick but thankfully the kids didn’t not. We informed the front desk staff and they didn’t care. The front desk receptionist was not pleasant. I’d rather pay out of pocket than to stay there.
Liz Scheiner
Liz Scheiner: Fantastic Navy lodge! The room was very nicely clean and looks updated. Plenty of towels for our family of 5 as well as a small kitchen stocked with dishes and utensils. You do have to pay to use the washers and dryers so be prepared for that. Our visit here has been great! Nice and quiet and love that we could have our dog with us.
William Lloyd
William Lloyd: I stayed for four nights with my family of 3. They wouldn’t let me reserve a family unit when I booked about 2 weeks out because they require you to be there in person. When I arrived they said there was only one family unit and it was in use so we received a standard room. There were two queen beds, a tv, bathroom and a mini kitchen (fridge, microwave and very small range). What really rated as a 2 for me was the lack of comfort The whole time there, were were avoiding touching anything because the room had a very old feeling to it, and we were killing bugs daily, each time a different type of bug from spiders, to some type of beetles, to nats in the bed, and some other strange looking flying bug. The door to enter the building was stuck shut so you had to really pull or push hard to get through, and there were cobwebs everywhere, inside the room and outside the entryway. Also, there’s one laundry for the whole building (I’m estimating 2 floors of 30 rooms?) and it’s very small...I think about 3 machines, and you have to pay to use them. Staff was nice at check-in and out. The room did its job for 4 nights but afterwards we transferred to the JB Andrews TLF and its more like a small house/apartment with new, state of the art laundry machines, full and large kitchen, bedrooms, and a living room in the unit. The room is very clean and comfortable in comparison.
Yanni c
Yanni c: This hotel is oldy but have a lot of amenities, front desk ladies are nice and friendly they offered to us coffee, and tea. The hotel room have little kitchen and a fridge, and nice mattresses, the place is clean, free parking space and breakfast. 20 minutes from the national airport.
Mariana Miller
Mariana Miller: The price was fair and the rooms were clean. Stayed with our two chihuahuas so I was really glad they had vinyl tile instead of carpet. The bed was comfy and the room was spacious.

Gateway Inns and Suites: what do users think?
Benjamin Lind
Benjamin Lind: The dilapidated building is in shambles and doesn’t offer an elevator if you have luggage. Poor housekeeping, when I went to get in bed at 12:30am I noticed a lot of hair and bizarre dirt patterns in my bed which indicated that the sheets had not been changed. The solution they offered me was to hand me a new set of linens. Stay literally anywhere else if possible.
Xane Jardineiro
Xane Jardineiro: I would give 0 stars if possible. The room was dirty, sheets had not been changed (pubic hairs in the bed and shower) towels were dirty… Essentially this place had not been cleaned and they booked me here anyway. Attached photos for your situational awareness.
Jay ONeal
Jay ONeal: My family and I really enjoyed our stay. We got a two bedroom apartment for $115/night. No way you can beat that anywhere in the area. The beauty of government subsidization. The building is a bit older, and there are no DVD players, but it’s a great, great deal overall.
Robert Hethcoat
Robert Hethcoat: The front desk lady, Danielle was very helpful to us upon check-in, she gave us a room on the ground floor. The amenities in room were sufficient for our week long stay. Very comfortable bed. Just disappointed the TV signal went dead for the last few days and the time it took to repair it.
Amp2084
Amp2084: So I paid $150 for the room plus a $20 pet fee. We went to site see and before leaving our room was at 77 degrees. We got back after setting it to 65 and it’s now 79 degrees. I called the front desk and their solution was to give us fans!! 😡 we are hot natured and can’t sleep when it’s hot. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!
LeAnn Davis
LeAnn Davis: We’ve enjoyed a comfortable and quiet stay for the weekend. This facility is two miles from a park and ride metro station right on the green line. We easily navigated our way to the Nationals Park and the Navy Yard within a few minutes. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfy, and we will be back!
Tobi Underwood
Tobi Underwood: It is convenient to the DC area. The rooms are clean. The staff is polite. The infrastructure on the base as a whole needs maintenance,. Cable was out for two days. There was no hot water today. The staff said it was because of a gas main break,

Kate Capellan
Kate Capellan: Super pet friendly hotel, loved it and the staff is super friendly too, it was so stressful while we stayed at a hotel out of base as pon as we move to the navy lodge everything change. I recommend it 100%

Also, thank you for the kind words regarding our staff. Thank you for staying at the Navy Lodge Bethesda and we hope that you will consider us any time you need lodging. Constance GM
Honey Badger (Schmitz)
Honey Badger (Schmitz): Clean lobby and rooms with recent upgrades. Microwave, good size mini fridge and with separate door for freezer, coffee maker, toaster, and some dishes in the room. Helpful staff. Guest laundry room, mini mart, and gym with three pieces of cardio equipment on site.
Response: I wanted to take the time to thank you for sharing your experience with other travelers. And I hope that you will afford us the opportunity to have you stay with Navy Lodge Bethesda again in the future.

Response: Thank you for your stay with us and for sharing your experience. I apologize that we were not able to get it all right this time, however please rest assured we have addressed this with the team to ensure we improve on this issue. And going forward please addressed any such issues with our guest service personnel, they're always there to assist. Constance GM
Elizabeth W
Elizabeth W: It’s convenient which is why I stay here. The price keeps creeping up. The furnishings keep getting older. The rooms are clean though. This last stay I booked weeks in advance and was put in a room right across from the elevators. I immediately asked for a different room and was told they were booked. They were but they could have switched people around since when she got my key out there were still a bunch there that hadn’t checked in yet, she just didn’t want to be bothered. Who needs sleep anyway?
Response: Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your stay! I am glad that we were able accommodate your lodging needs. We are continually trying to improve the variety and quality of amenities that we offer. Apologies, due the increased cost of NAVFAC services we had to increase our rate, however Navy Lodge remains 40% below our counter parts rates outside of the gate. Again, thank you for staying at the Navy Lodge Bethesda and we hope that you will consider us any time you need lodging. Constance NLGM

IHG Army Hotels Wainwright Hall - Historia: what do users think?
Thomas Beckman
Thomas Beckman: Wonderful hotel... the room was nice. The breakfast was absolutely amazing... the chef here is the best. Two things. No cleaning service and we were there from Monday until Thursday. Then the night front desk person was very rude. If you have to park on the side of the bldg there is no lighting while you find your way up the stairs to the door.
Response: Dear Thomas Beckman, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We apologize for the dissatisfaction of your stay. We hope for another opportunity to exceed your expectations. Best regards,
Emili Mancilla
Emili Mancilla: such a good room for one night but too pricey. the desk clerk said it was $165 without taxes and i paid $193 and some cents and didn’t get a receipt and he didn’t tell me the checkout time. the floors are creaky and feel like you’re gonna fall through but love the room. they even have full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
Stephen Lyon
Stephen Lyon: Great historic hotel. If you need a quiet place in the NCR give them a look. All the base support you need and easy access to DC
Regina Ortenzi
Regina Ortenzi: Always a delete to stay at an old world Army guest quarters. Takes me back to my brat days traveling with my Dad between assignments. Very spacious suites, complimentary breakfast and every effort taken to keep guests safe in pandemic times
Response: Thank you for your review, we look forward to serving you again in the future.
Kathleen Beckman
Kathleen Beckman: Perfect place to stay for a visit to our Capitol. The breakfast was made by a wonderful man who did an excellent job. The front desk person in the evening was very unpleasant. Great location.
Response: Thank you, look forward to seeing you again soon
Ashley T
Ashley T: We have been constantly harassed and questioned by Patricia Segura who is the night desk clerk since we arrived on June 18, 2021. We have been asked why we needed towels and to verify we used the other towels before she will give us a new set of towels. We have been asked why we are parked in handicapped parking & to verify we have a handicapped parking pass. Do not stay here unless you want to be profiled by the night time hotel clerk. Corporate guest services is just as rude (spoke with Ly) and didn’t work with us to resolve the issue. Is it policy to make sure hotel guest verifies with your hotel staff they are handicapped?
Response: Thank you for your review and for briefly allowing me time time this morning to apologize and discuss. We want to show you that we take your comments seriously, and will follow up accordingly. We look forward to wowing you on your next visit.
Walt Drechsler
Walt Drechsler: Accommodations were great. Rooms are a bit dated but that was the expectation. The staff is amazing! From the moment we checked in we were treated like special guests. We look forward to breakfast every morning. We again were treated like family. The Fort is positioned within easy distance to many attractions as well as the Metro. Patricia was especially fun in the evenings when we returned from our day. We always had hot coffee and cookies to greet us. Our experience just added icing to a very spectacular trip.
Response: It was a pleasure having you stay with us at the Army Hotel Fort Myer. We look forward to seeing you again.

One Washington Circle Hotel: what do users think?
Josephine Amuron
Josephine Amuron: The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly, I stayed here for 2 weeks and it was amazing
Julisa Ovando
Julisa Ovando: I stayed here about 2 years ago room was nice check in was good BUT I paid for valet parking once I got my car back it was ransacked everything was everywhere I had hundreds dollars worth of items from my trunk stolen I spoke to the manager with my husband they assured me they’d help me out but no 2 years later I have heard nothing. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!
Helena Williams
Helena Williams: I stayed here for a week on a school trip and it was great. Our group was well accommodated, and the staff were all very helpful. The rooms were really nice and clean, and there was a whole kitchenette and a balcony. It was also within walking distance of a lot of other cool destinations. I had a great time at this hotel and I would definitely recommend.
Mark Jackson
Mark Jackson: Excellent location, very inexpensive, genuinely helpful, nice, caring staff, and surprise! The hotel "room" is actually a spacious apartment with a balcony equipped with table and chairs (too cold for us to use). This would be a great place to stay for a week. Tip: Take the room rate that includes parking. Paid in advance it adds $25 to the cost of the room. Otherwise valet parking is $42/night.
Megan Rainey
Megan Rainey: Great place to stay! Was only there for 1 night, but hotel was clean, rooms were spacious with private balconies and is perfectly located in the city within walking distance to restaurants, bars, the Monument and other historical sites, and Georgetown. Staff was super friendly and helpful with recommendations. Will definitely be staying here whenever we visit DC! Picture is our view from the balcony.
Paul Durkes
Paul Durkes: Hotel has a great location to everything. The rooms are clean and spacious. Having a balcony is a nice feature too. Cleaning Service is quick and not too intrusive. Only complaint is the shower gel smells horrible. Not sure why it was used.
Maria Bruce
Maria Bruce: The staff was very friendly. It was difficult to fall asleep because we were on the second floor. Maybe a higher floor would have been quieter. Also the bathroom toilet was way too close to the vanity and toilet paper holder. I kept hitting my arm and shoulder on it. Other than that the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

HighRoad Hotel Washington DC: what do users think?
Simon Cardenas
Simon Cardenas: Friendly staff, good location, beds are okay. Im definitely staying here if I come back
Nora
Nora: I’ve been here last February before the pandemic and I really enjoyed staying here the price so convenient and the staff were so nice and friendly they made sure that I get whatever I needed and they were so helpful and happy to help I honestly felt like home here and this is the only hostel I like among all hostels I’ve been at. Back then they served breakfast every day and there were some activities every week. Somehow everyone I met there was lovely and friendly we had so fun hearing each other stories and future plans. I’m so thankful for this experience. Also about the location it’s so nice there are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops in the area almost one block away. I highly recommend it.
Ellen SC
Ellen SC: Such a lovely hostel. Was made to feel so welcome, like I was coming home. Beds were comfy and hostel was quiet enough to get a good nights sleep but also lots of social areas. Would definitely recommend!
Emily Wakwe
Emily Wakwe: Surprisingly excellent! 👏🏾 Only request is that mirrors or a mirror needs to be in the room.
Lauren
Lauren: Loved my stay at this hostel. The location is beautiful in a very lively neighborhood. A 5min walk gets you to the bus stop. It’s about a 20 min ride to the national mall and DCA. Spacious and clean rooms. The beds were comfortable although very squeaky. I had a room on the third floor and had the bathroom to my self every morning. Very friendly staff. Went out Saturday night with people from the hostel and had an incredible time. If you’re a solo traveler going to DC and thinking about booking any kind of accommodation I recommend this hostel.
Response: Hi Lauren, Thanks so much for a detailed review of the HighRoad Hostel DC. We're so happy to hear you enjoyed our beautiful neighborhood of Adams Morgan, our hostel amenities, and our Saturday night event, Bar Night! However, I'm sorry to hear that your bunk was squeaky. I can say with confidence that our beds are typically not noisy. We will do a spot check of the beds first thing tomorrow to ensure all beds do not squeak!! Please let us know if you have any other suggestions for us! We are always looking forward to guest comments to improve and provide the best service and experience for our guests. Safe travels and see you soon! -Miyuki at the HighRoad Hostel DC Team
Camryn King
Camryn King: My stay was AMAZING! the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! All of the general areas, bathrooms, and my room was extremely clean and up to par. I really really loved staying here. I would suggest to anyone who may think about staying in a bigger room with more beds that your privacy may be worth the little extra fees. I stayed in a 14 bed mixed gender room and I don’t have any complaints, I just think I would prefer a more expensive room next time for more privacy 😊
Jeff Martin
Jeff Martin: This hostel is awesome! I’m a teacher, I brought 15 students here. The staff was incredibly responsive, helpful, prompt, and professional in advance of arrival. We were greeted by staff and shown to our rooms in a very welcoming manor. They were nice to me and my students. The showers are clean. the beds are very very comfortable and do not squeak when you turn over in them. The vide is hip and fun. The location is in the heart of the fun to be had in Adams Morgan. I will definitely recommend this hostel to others and will definitely plan to come back (without students) to have fun with this hostel as my home base!

Beacon Hotel & Corporate Quarters: what do users think?
June T
June T: Unfortunately, my stay at the Beacon Hotel was very mediocre and this place seems more like a cheap motel because of how outdated all of the appliances are Such as the temperature control, TV, closet door and shower. Cons: There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room, I was told if I needed a microwave I could go to the third-floor and use the communal microwave. There must be something loose in the air vents or maybe outside of my window because I could hear something that sounded like pots and pans banging in the wind, It seems to be coming from the ceiling directly above me but definitely not another guest because the noise was too consistent. I heard this noise at least 2-3 times a minute each day/all night despite not really being in the room during the day time. The bath faucet constantly dripped, Either a couple drops or a constant stream even hours after taking a shower. I had a north facing window, they really need to renovate the windows with double or triple pane to keep out noise from the traffic circle. Lots of angry honking during the day and police sirens at night. I booked a 3 night stay and every morning around 8am housekeeping would try to enter my room (without verbally announcing themselves) even though I had the Do Not Disturb sign on my door. I am from the West Coast, so 8am feels like 5am to me, I’d get woken up *every single morning* of my stay to the sound of someone trying to force into my room against the deadbolt which would put me in a panic until I remembered it’s just housekeeping. Pros: Clean hotel and my room was clean. I really liked the lay out of my room and all the surface space provided. Front desk and housekeeping staff was very friendly when I would see them in the hallways. The coffee from the coffee pods they provide for the machine in room was tasty. Very convenient location, I picked this place because it’s easy walking distance from both Farragut North and West metro stops. Ultimately I would never stay here again because I had so many issues with either noise from outside or inside the hotel waking me up throughout the night. For someone who is a heavy sleeper these things probably will not bother you. After reading other reviews I am definitely going to keep an eye on my bank statements to make sure I get my $150 ($50/day) deposit back. Other reviews mentioned issues with hot water or the key cards, but I did not have these issues personally. Bar and Grill was closed and has been for many many months. Any reviews that are recent and mention the restaurant being open are likely paid fake reviews.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. This is very important to us and we will be discussing solutions with our management team to improve our services.
Mark West
Mark West: An above average hotel but the room needs a little maintenance attention. Wallpaper was pealing off in a few areas and the plug in the bathroom sink was not functioning, had to remove it so the water could drain. A little pricey but due to its location. Restaurant is not open right now. There was no refrigerator in the room. For a room that costs over $200 a night to stay, that should be standard equipment. The staff is accommodating though. We have a late flight so they let us leave our luggage after check out
Response: Thank you for the kind words, Mark! Our team is delighted knowing you appreciated our efforts and service. We always aim to provide our guests with a perfect stay, so we're disheartened to know about your concerns. We will be discussing this situation with our team. We look forward to hosting you again soon!
Ariana Ramirez
Ariana Ramirez: This hotel is definitely over rated. My worst hotel experience ever by far. I am really big on reading reviews before I go places but I took a chance on the Beacon & I absolutely regret it. It was an uncomfortable stay. The staff was very professional and had great hospitality though. The room was very small, there was dust all over the bed side tables and phone. The bed sheets and pillow cases had stains of blood. The filter for the heating was fire hazard filthy. No microwave, no fridge, no ice machine & parking is very expensive at almost $60 a night including tax. If you are out by the time valet leaves for the night, once you return you will have to park out front of the hotel instead of in the underground garage. Oh & don’t forget the hotel fees for things that you won’t even use or that’s closed.
Response: Thank you for your feedback we will address your issues with our team.
Steve Jenkins
Steve Jenkins: We recently stayed at the beacon hotel and corporate quarters in Washington DC. This was singularly one of the worst hotel stays in over 30 years of staying hotels around the world. The list of issues is expansive, and started before check in. So I was traveling for work and booked over three weeks out, as we were flying in from Hawaii after an overnight flight, we requested an early check in at 1pm. The message that we received said they would do their best to help us out. On arrival, the man behind behind the desk was like the soup guy from Seinfeld and insisted that there were no early check ins and that check I was 3pm. It wasn’t that he wasn’t polite, he was just outright rude. On check in we were also advised that’s restaurant is closed, the rooftop bar is closed and there is limited housekeeping due to COVID, despite this there is a $28 daily resort fee 😕. We were the put into a different room. To that which was booked, it’s a standard queen, and was tiny. After clarifying they moved us to a deluxe double double, which was roomier, but was tired and old, with a shower that has water, but no water pressure. Every day the room cards did not work, and resulted in multiple trips to reception to have them reset. Not once, not even once did anyone at reception acknowledge any issue with the room key system, in fact they used all standard hotel excuses about you must have put it near your phone, your credit cards etc etc. the thing is it was soooo widespread and whenever we would be getting a reset there would be a line, it was just unacceptable and avoidable. The 2 lifts in the building are tiny, slow and barely functioning. And finally to checkout, by this point we expected little, and the management didn’t let us down. As we were leaving at 4am in the morning, I went down the evening prior and requested to finalize my account and gain a receipt, so we could just drop keys and go in the morning. I was told this wasn’t possible as the cost of the final night didn’t click in until midnight, so I requested that the reception representative just process it at midnight and then have a printout that I could collect when I left. The reception representative said that as she was leaving before midnight this couldn’t be done and I would have to call down to have this done before I left. In addition the rate on the invoice was more than that quoted, when I showed the reception representative the emails I had received from the hotel, with the hotels email address, she denied that it had come from the hotel, and insisted it was from a third party booking agent. This was the cherry on the very average cake of disappointment that this stay was. I can honestly say that I will NEVER stay in this hotel again, and I would strongly advise that you are better to join the homeless lady at the nearby park, rather than put up with rude, incompetent staff, and unacceptable facilities.
Response: Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us your feedback, Steve. We will have a team member reach out to you about your review.

Comfort Inn Downtown DC/Convention Center: what do users think?
ajaye b
ajaye b: The hotel is an older building (with the nuances particular to them), however it was perfect for my conference stay, reasonably priced, and very convenient to walk to the conference center with a variety of independent restaurants nearby. The staff members I met (front desk, housekeeping) were professional, thorough, helpful, and always pleasant. I would certainly stay there again, and easily recommend it to others.
Response: Dear Ajaye, It has been a great pleasure having you as our valued guest. We are immensely grateful for your appreciation. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed the friendly service delivery extended to you by the team. Looking forward to the pleasure of serving you during future stays with us. Sincerely, Hotel Manager
Mike Williams
Mike Williams: This hotel was very conveniently located for my trip to DC. The price was excellent, the service was excellent and the breakfast was the best I’ve come across included in the room cost. I will most definitely return! Book with confidence! I want to thank Avvy in the breakfast room for keeping everything super super clean, stocked and fresh. I forge the gentleman at the front desks name but he was awesome too. Well done to the Comfort Inn DC staff. Had a great time. Thank you
Response: Hello Mike, Thank you so much for staying with us and the wonderful feedback. Your generosity in appreciating our hotel staff and the breakfast is very much encouraging. It is our privilege to host guests like you, who makes us run that extra mile towards guest satisfaction. Guests like you are the real ambassadors for our hotel. We will be really excited to welcome you again. Sincerely, Hotel Manager.
Purple Cotton
Purple Cotton: Lovely hotel- perfect location! Front Desk Supervisor very accommodating. Only complaint is breakfast was not well kept and food and condiments kept running out. Breakfast clerk was nice though! I will most definitely return here!
József Gyula Nemes
József Gyula Nemes: Affordable yield close to the center. I am kindly helpful. Rooms are tidy, breakfast is delicious and hearty. What is a bit weak is the wifi that works in the hotel. I had a good time, I will recommend it to friends as well.
Response: Hello Jozsef, Thank you for the stay and the nice comments. It is good to know that you had a satisfactory experience. We will surely address the WiFi strength issue. It is a privilege for us to have guests like you. We are looking forward to your next visit. Sincerely, Hotel Manager.

Washington Plaza Hotel: what do users think?
Kelley Hambrick
Kelley Hambrick: Absolutely beautiful place. All the staff were very friendly and hospitable. We were treated very well. I love that your car is locked secure in the garage every night. Check out time is NOT at the crack of dawn...the only disappointment was the beautiful pool was closed. The bathroom tile was beautiful and clean. Beds were comfy and very clean. Location, I gave 4 stars only because it was a little bit of a walk to get to the museums. But also, it was a nicer quiet area, right across the street from the beautiful Martin Luther Church.
Shannon Dermid
Shannon Dermid: Upon arrival, we were greeted and welcomed so pleasantly. The young lady that checked us in went above and beyond for us after we asked her about some local black owned restaurants. The pool was not open as of yet but looked great! We will definitely return to enjoy the pool and their outdoor bar. The restaurant bar inside the hotel was great as well, the lady bartender was alot of fun. The greeter was always attentive and very friendly when opening the doors for everyone. Parking was so easy, it is a extra charge BUT it is in all of DC hotels. It was very clean and beds and pillows comfortable. This hotel is in a PERFECT LOCATION, right in the middle of everything. This is our go to stay at spot now.
Response: We're delighted you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to having you back soon!
Ted LeBlond
Ted LeBlond: I had stayed at the Washington Plaza about four years ago. Some when I found out last month that I would be in Washington DC for nine days, I obviously made my reservation there. Like last time I was extremely pleased with the service and the hotel. All the staff from the front desk to maintenance and housekeeping are polite and professional. When I had a very minor issue with my shower faucet and I reported it to the front desk maintenance had come up literally within minutes fix it quickly and correctly. The entire hotel is very clean and neat. I had daily housekeeping and I don’t know how they made the bed. It was always so nice and barely a wrinkle on the sheets. I hated to sit down or lay down on it but I did have to go to bed sometime. I got a great rate because it was in the middle of December and also they had a seven day promotion. But one thing I like most about the Washington Plaza is they do not charge one of those ridiculous destinations or amenity fees that seem to be the trend now with so many hotels. I highly recommend this place.
Ios ParosNaxos
Ios ParosNaxos: This during the pandemic. The interior was looking just a little run-down. The room had no microwave or mini-fridge, so you had to rely on room service. But their service was excellent and the food was good. Coffee came in large pots. Lunch was also served but not dinner. Snacks and some alcoholic beverages sold at the front counter 24/7. The hotel also has a a very cozy restaurant, which, at the time, was closed. Everything you need is within walking distance including a 7/11 and dry cleaners, a hair salon and Whole Foods Market. The hotel is also located on the edge of the downtown area, the drug store is a block away. The people living in this neighborhood are A+.

The Dupont Circle Hotel: what do users think?
Chiamaka Ukachukwu
Chiamaka Ukachukwu: I stayed here for just one night on a business trip and had a lovely experience. Beautiful room and location. In the heart of the city close to many food options. Staff were friendly, warm, and welcoming. I cannot comment on pricing as my room was paid for but it was an excellent stay. Loved my room and felt so relaxed! Would love to come back! Special thank you to Femi, a receptionist who was very accommodating at check in and check out.
Response: Dear Chiamaka Ukachukwu Thank you for your feedback! We are happy you enjoyed your stay! We hope to welcome you again to the Dupont Circle hotel should your travels bring you back to Washington D.C! Warm Regards, Jamie Kang Director of Front Office
Chris Sanders
Chris Sanders: Stayed here in 2017. White glove experience all around for my entire stay. Fitness room is way more than I expected in a hotel gym. Really nice cardio equipment. Minimal strength equipment but high quality. Great location in Dupont Circle with plenty of restaurant options around the hotel as well as their own bar and cafe. Small business center was great for grabbing a couple of quick conference calls right when I arrived. Highly recommend for biz or pleasure. Great experience!
Response: Dear Mr. Sanders, Thank you for staying at The Dupont Circle in 2017 and we appreciate your review. We've renovated our guestrooms in 2021 so very much looking forward to welcoming you back during your next trip to Washington DC!. Sincerely, Jamie Kang Front Office Manager

Danielle El Kadi Levin: My husband and I had an excellent stay. Farrah the GM was fantastic! The housekeeping was top notch. The rooms were very comfortable. Staff was so kind, look out for John and Christopher, they’re lovely people. Thank you staff of the DuPont Circle !!! We felt very at home. Tons of little details that make all the difference.

Megan Barnes
Megan Barnes: I recently had my wedding block here at the Dupont Circle Hotel and could not be more pleased with the hotel. The upgrades made it feel like a five star experience for our guests from the moment they checked in. The rooms were beautiful, the bar was perfect for our welcome drinks, and the Pembroke restaurant was perfect for a bridal breakfast the day before the festivities began. I would be remiss by not sharing how incredible Svetlin was leading up to our big day. It would not have been as seamless without his help. Christina was key in securing our incredible rate for our guests to make the weekend so special for our family and friends traveling into the city. You will no regret your stay here.
Response: Dear Megan Thompson, I’m delighted to read that you had an exceptional stay. Our colleagues passion and professionalism is what we pride ourselves on, and comments such as yours are the best possible compliment and encouragement, showing that their attitude towards exceptional customer service does not go unnoticed. I will make sure to share your kind comments with our teams, especially with Svetlin and Christina. We hope to welcome you again to the Dupont Circle hotel should your travels bring you back to Washington D.C! Warm Regards, Jamie Kang Director of Front Office
Sarah Bell
Sarah Bell: Who doesn’t love a turn down service?? Can’t say enough good things about this hotel; when I lived in DC I used to frequent their bar/restaurant regularly but this is my first time staying as an overnight guest. The staff has been lovely and the room is great, too. Will absolutely book again when I’m back in town.
Response: Thank you for such a complimentary review. We're thrilled to learn you enjoyed your stay and humbled by your kind comments, including those about our staff. Should your travels bring you back to our nation's capital, we look forward to welcoming you again for another enjoyable stay. Regards, Jamie King Director of Front Office
Derrik C
Derrik C: I had such a great stay here. The rooms were beautiful and clean, the staff was so helpful and welcoming, and the location was perfect. I will definitely stay here again when I’m in DC. Also, the valet parking service is amazing. I stress about parking whenever I’m in the city and this was a life saver and the valets were wonderful.
Response: Dear Derrik C, Thank you for your feedback! We are happy you enjoyed your stay! We hope to welcome you again to the Dupont Circle hotel should your travels bring you back to Washington D.C! Warm Regards, Jamie Kang Director of Front Office
Reb O
Reb O: Do not stay here. We accidentally left an expensive pair of shoes on the closet floor in our room. We called almost immediately when we realized this on the ride home. The hotel told us they would call us back immediately after speaking to housekeeping. They did not call us back at all. We had to call the next morning. By this time, hours and hours passing, we were tossed around to various people and the conclusion was that they did not find the shoes in the room. They kept calling this a “lost item”. The shoes were not a lost item, they were a “left” item. It’s unfortunate that you can’t accidentally leave some thing in your room and have an honest staff member return it to you. After talking to multiple managers on the phone, they did not want to do anything about the shoes. I will never stay in a hotel that steals from you. Beware.
C L
C L: The hotel rooms are beyond tiny - not even a door for the bathroom, and the ceiling heights are so low, even at 5’3 I️ can’t breathe. Service is the worst part, I️ have never met so many apathetic people in one place. At checkout we called 3 times to request a dolly. The first time they adamantly denied that our room number even existed 🤯 and then the next two times they said they were sending one up. Didn’t happen. We had to carry all of our luggage down by hand (we have a child so this included a travel crib, stroller, and 2 suitcases. Upon leaving no one even offered us a hand. When I️ was exiting the elevator with my child in the stroller and carrying 3 bags, there was a man with a loaded dolly standing outside the elevator and would not make space for me to get by. I’m positively shocked that this place is in business and that this was my experience. How does this place have good reviews?? The only redeemable moment was meeting the lady from housekeeping who gave my kid chocolate and was so kind to us. She should be paid way more than any of those a-holes at the front desk. Complete waste of space and money. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
Response: Thank you for sharing feedback on your recent stay at The Dupont Circle. We are deeply concerned to learn of the shortcomings you experienced at our property. We never wish for our guests to leave our property dissatisfied with their stay. Thus, we're disheartened to hear you did. We would like the opportunity to speak with you to learn more about your stay and to see how we can make amends for your recent experience. When you have a moment, please send us an email with the best contact information so that a member of our team can be in touch. We look forward to connecting with you. District hotel: what do users think?
m.
m.: A little apprehensive going in as price was so good and there was no one at front desk upon arrival. However, turned out to be the perfect place to stay for a one night visit. I lucked into a great room with large windows which gave a perfect view of the street out front. The room was very bare bones but super clean. Bed was OK. TV listing would be nice. AC heat unit was quiet and super efficient. Room even had a ceiling fan. No microwave in room, teeny tiny one in lobby next to 24 hour coffee and tea. No restaurant or gym. Ice machine on second floor. If you are looking to eat on a budget, there is a Whole Foods Market right around the corner (all kinds of hot and cold prepared foods, even pizza.) I will stay here again. Nice lady at front desk works some long shifts!
Ambar Robinson
Ambar Robinson: I enjoyed my stay great staff and clean room. Elevator works and good wifi for work. I would stay again.
Edward A. Gray
Edward A. Gray: Very nice and clean staff was excellent. Location was perfect for me to walk around DC. I would stay here again.
Andrew R
Andrew R: nice hotel in a not busy area that is a good deal near restaurants and convenience store to get you through a DC trip
Marsha Royal
Marsha Royal: No frills but well priced for the area. Walking distance to stores, restaurants and the bus. Helpful staff.

Courtyard by Marriott Washington Capitol Hill/Navy Yard: what do users think?
Kacey Ripley
Kacey Ripley: We stayed here with our two young kids and had a great experience. The bistro took such great care of us at breakfast, and we couldn’t believe how delicious the food was for a little cafe. The hotel was clean and well-maintained which has been our typical experience with Marriott. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, and we were able to walk to the Capitol in just a few minutes. I’d stay here again.
Heather Smith
Heather Smith: Overall typical of this brand. Maybe I have to reset my expectations though post COVID. Only cleaned if ask the day before. Ok, got it. But I just wanted my trash removed daily. If full clean not necessary, would like an option to properly dispose of the trash. I was not given soap for sink. Twice. I was given body lotion. Thanks, but I would rather be clean. Bought my own. Nobody was flat out rude, but some staff (mostly overnight) acted like I was an inconvenience. My key kept having issues and needed it reset multiple times. Had issues with the lock not fully working and door would get stuck. I did not park a vehicle on site, but a co worker tried for 1 might and was told full, go park at Whole Foods. Not far, but still a block or so away. At least they had an option available though. Clean, most people nice, location super convenient, felt perfectly safe.
James Garcia
James Garcia: This was without question the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Check in is at 4pm our room was not ready until 6pm. We were supposed to have a roll away. That never happened. There was no parking available. The front desk staff just complains about their situation (we were fully booked last night) and says things like “don’t catch an attitude”. This place is so poorly run.
Remy 2BADD
Remy 2BADD: This hotel saved us from the IVY CITY MOTEL we called other hotels at 9 am to get a room and no one could get us in until 3. Courtyard instantly took care of us our room was ready after maybe about a 15 minute drive they gave us water the rooms were nice and clean everything was neat that night we had a mix-up with our Uber eats the front desk worker and the security guard were awesome I stood down and waited for my food they had great conversation just awesome people thanks again courtyard by Marriott you made our stay awesome five stars! And it was my birthday weekend thanks for coming to the rescue
Andrew Brown
Andrew Brown: The staff here were amazing with accommodating my early check in and late check out. Everything was clean and the staff remembered my name. Travel can be stressful so these little things count. I look forward to my next trip to the Navy Yard!
mikel myles
mikel myles: Customer Service and Communication is off! Upon purchasing 2 rms for approx $295 for 1 night I was expecting a little better customer service than I received but sometimes it is your own people that treat you in such a rude way. I walked in in a pleasant mood. Happy because it was a big day for me and my son who was going to his prom. I stood in line. Waited and saw how Abdullah treated the guest in front of me. And how the other young lady (a black female) did as well. Both giving their customers a welcome bag that had water and a breakfast bar in it with a smile and pleasant attitude. Upon arriving on Saturday after I had called and spoke with a male (Caucasian or Hispanic) on a couple occasions (1) to check that my 3rd party reservation was there and (2) to also see about using a rm to set up for a couple hours for prom pictures. The gentleman was very kind over the phone and in person. Prior to check in we stopped by. This particular guy said it would be ok for us to use a room told me and the other parent. He never mentioned a time limit or a fee. He had a technician open up the Admiral rooms on the 2nd floor for us to view and pick. We left out of the hotel happy thinking we were good for prom day set up and continued preparing with things such as a ballon backdrop planned to have a small food set up not knowing that when we arrived the following weekend on June 11 upon checking in with Abdullah that we were going to be ONLY allotted 15 mins to set up our balloon arrangement and take pictures plus we were made aware that we should’ve paid a fee for the room. Totally unaware and disturbed by what I was being told. Abdullah said ok I will give you a little more time just know we have to set up for a church coming in the next morning. It was 5/6 pm when guests started arriving. Approx 7:30 pm Abdullah came up to tell us our time was up they needed to set up for the church. Within 10-15 mins we had our ppl come out the room and a couple of the ladies stayed to clean up and set back up the 12 chairs and podium for church as it was. In the meantime I passed by Abdullah several times up until at least 10 pm. He never called me over to discuss anything about the room. Upon check out I called to see if both rooms charged on my card incidental charges were returned. That’s when I was notified by a rude young lady (the black female) that “We are charging your card $150.. the room was a mess!”.. Now I set the 12 chairs and podium up myself.. I saw the young lady carefully pop the balloons and take the confetti filled ones outside to pop. The food we had was pizza and nuggets that was nicely placed on 2 table clothes that we scooped up and trashed. To my knowledge the room was cleaned. A young man working there who had our room changed because the AC wasn’t working told me specifically “Yall are good we just had 1 bag of trash to take out”. So the attitude and the charge was a shock to me at this point! In the end I wish I had taken pictures of the room before we started and after, I wished I would have gotten the first gentleman’s name, I wish there were better communication between everyone regardless of skin color because I paid the same as everyone else and I was not rude even after I was told I could only get 15 mins, and also I wish I didn’t have to come back down to the front desk to get our welcome bags that was given to everyone else with a smile after I purchased 2 rooms at this hotel! End result.. **The rooms are comfortable and if there’s a problem the staff is willing to move you to another room. **For the Meeting Room I was not charged $150/$500 although they tried to charge my card that I used specifically for the hotel fees $150 before speaking to me. It did not work. So the new manager onboard said they just kept the $50 incidental fee. Which I was ok with. She was pleasant and apologized. The principle of the matter is we spoke to someone, came in person prior to our check in date to make sure. We did our part. The Staff should’ve done better and they also should’ve been on the same page.

The Hay-Adams: what do users think?
Bill Maniatis
Bill Maniatis: From the moment the door is opened for you, you will know that you are walking intro a most beautiful well maintained historical hotel. The facility is so well maintained and he attention to detail is second to none! Everything is clean and organized to perfection! Adding to that facility is the amazing staff! So helpful and polite and willing to perform the jobs so amazingly well. Proper turn down service, friendly and polite and so friendly This is the only place to stay in! The location is wonderful and extremely convenient however what makes The Hey Adams standout is the wonderful staff, attention to detail and how the hotel is maintained. Thank you all so much!
Evan D
Evan D: Average person review: visiting from the South, and it’s an odd way to type out a review on how employees at a hotel can make you feel like you’re family here while thinking about how it’s their job to do so. It’s not a forced smile they put on, but rather a genuine atmosphere in all that they do for you. My bed was made multiple times a day, my dirty clothes were neatly folded in a small area in the room and I always had fresh towels. (It’s just a big thing for me) As I said before, the staff was more than welcoming! One gentlemen opened the door with a smile outside, and another opened it with a smile on the inside. I’m not anything special, but the Hay Adams staff sure did make me feel as if I was the most important person visiting for the next few days! Breakfast was outstanding; again, I’m a Southerner so breakfast is our staple. Didn’t get a chance to see the rooftop bar after walking 8 miles around DC because we were tired but everything about the inside and restaurant were perfect. As I said in the beginning is exactly what I want to say by ending; it’s a very hard way to describe how this building and staff make you feel like you’re family, and not just a temporary resident to fill a budget quota. There’s truly an indescribable feeling that walking into the Hay Adams is just like going to a distant relatives house. You don’t see them every day, but when you first arrive on the front porch, you’re greeted with a warm welcoming that makes you feel as if you’ve only been gone a few hours. 5 stars.
Katherine Collins
Katherine Collins: Treated my sister and her husband to a stay at the Hay-Adams & it’s one of the very few times I can say that it was absolutely worth every cent. Our rooms were impeccable, every member of the staff we encountered was genuinely caring, & every meal we ate was exceptional. Everything exceeded my expectations. I’ve never experienced anything like it; they must go out of their way to hire the best of the best & treat them well because nothing fell short of absolute excellence. I don’t think I could ever stay anywhere else in the city. It made our time in DC magical.
Tracey Vlahovic
Tracey Vlahovic: This was an experience! From my room I can see the white house and such a wonderful view! I took the best pictures! The hotel bar was great and wonderful staff greeted us. We had many rooms booked and so many of my family came along and everyone enjoyed! I highly recommend!
Adam Galazka
Adam Galazka: Overall, just an amazing experience. I would give them 4.5 stars. Mainly because after our stay, we found some rim and tire damage from valet parking. Working with their management to address it. Booked this through Amex Platinum. Their check in process was amazing. From doors being open to everyone knowing your name, just great. This hotel is right down the street of the White House. Just an amazing location. Room was great with St. John view of the church. Room was spacious. Shower had an amazing pressure. Enjoyed the little touch of water and mandarins. Turn down service was also great as we did not expect it. We will definitely be back. Restaurant and bar/lounge on the premises are amazing.
brian perkins
brian perkins: Was visiting DC for the first time since the pandemic. So glad we stayed at The Hay-Adams. So charming. So comfortable. So beautiful. Such great service (the doormen, the waiters, the hostesses great you by your name every day!). I only had breakfasts there…and I miss them. Especially the corned beef hash. And they charged my Tesla. Perfect.
Priya R.
Priya R.: What an amazing experience. The location of the hotel is spectacular, the service is amazing and the rooms are beautiful. Special thanks to Brian Thomasson for going above and beyond to make sure my twin boys felt special during the stay. If you truly want a memorable experience, you cannot stay anywhere else. We plan to come back soon…many thanks for the fantastic memories.
Michelle W
Michelle W: My husband and I stayed in the Lafayette Park view suite for three nights and we were impressed with every aspect of this beautiful hotel - from the courteous and pleasant service from every employee we interacted with, an awesome concierge who set us up with an informative walking tour of DC, to the wonderful in room dining staff. Off the Record was a nightly favorite! We can’t wait to come back and stay again!
Thomas Corcoran
Thomas Corcoran: Despite an issue with some minor room cleanliness, the hotel management handled it extremely well. The staff turned what would have been a disappointment into a very positive experience. We look forward to returning for a relaxing stay again.

State Plaza Hotel: what do users think?
Brooke Justis
Brooke Justis: This is our second time staying here (our first was the night we got engaged!), and the place is great. Wonderful price, clean and spacious rooms, reasonable parking, and friendly staff! The location is wonderful! We were able to walk to the national mall easily, where my fiancé proposed, and return to our hotel for the night. Will most likely stay here again!!
Michelle Pearse
Michelle Pearse: This hotel is well located with easy access to everything. The CVS next door was a lifesaver and the staff was extremely helpful. Our room had a kitchenette, a powder room, and bathroom. It was extremely spacious, clean, and we were able to really spread out and be comfortable. It was our first time to DC and we will recommend the state plaza hotel all of our friends & family.
TRECEYb Finney
TRECEYb Finney: I was PLEASANTLY surprised at the kitchen addition to the room; I would have been happy with just a microwave. There was also an additional area between the room and the bathroom that could be smaller to make the bathroom a bit more spacious. But overall loved the room and hotel design, will definitely return if ever in DC again.
Meghan Flynn
Meghan Flynn: I stayed in this hotel after a very long drive from NY to make it to an appointment to get an emergency passport. Upon arriving, I check in and proceed to self parking where the spaces are extremely tight. The rooms are decent, and within walking distance to National Mall. The next day, on the date of my checkout I was to be flying out of DC for a funeral of a close family member. I explained to the manager and the front desk member that it would be extremely helpful if I could extend my check out just one hour (from noon to 1pm) as my transport to the airport would be arriving around then, and that I would be willing to pay any fee for the extension. They declined. I’m not one to complain or write poor reviews but after explaining to them all I had gone through in the prior 48 hours for them to not make an exception to extended just out of basic morality, let alone show good hospitality really rubbed me the wrong way.
Elvin Schrock
Elvin Schrock: Room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was super accommodating. When we had an issue with the temperature of the room, they immediately sent up a fan to keep us comfortable.
Peter Fox
Peter Fox: Hotel rooms were good, clean and had a kitchenette. A little outdated. Also the thermostat seemed broken. Staff was not as helpful as I thought. We had called before twice to make sure that the hotel can provide us a baby bed and they said twice that they have a bed (play pen, Graco style but lower quality). When we reached I found out that they only have the play pen but no mattress. The baby would have slept on a uneven and on the frame. Not safe and not what can be called baby bed. I had to buy a mattress from target myself. They wanted to reimburse us one night but never did. Even after calling the hotel and booking.com the hotel didn’t give us the reimbursement. Really sad because otherwise I would have recommended the hotel and my review would have been different. I will still try to connect with the hotel to resolve the issue.
Response: Hello Peter Fox - My apologies for your inconvenience. Please contact me directly at dmanalang@stateplaza.com so I can resolve this issue. Thank you.

Morrison-Clark Historic Inn & Restaurant: what do users think?
Jennifer Davis
Jennifer Davis: We stayed here for a long weekend. This was a beautiful boutique hotel and we chose to stay in one of their suites. The room was very spacious and impeccably clean! The hotel was quiet which was perfect since I spent much of the time studying during the day while my partner attended a conference at the Conference Center that was conveniently located a block and a half walk away. The staff had amazing customer service and due to the wonderful experience and the convenience of the location: metro stations nearby, great location for walking to everything; we will definitely stay here again!
AJ
AJ: My husband and I stayed at the Morrison Clark Inn for a few nights in a suite. Accommodations were very comfortable, spacious, and exceptionally clean (which I know because I wipe everything down in a hotel room. My wipes are often no longer white after wiping but here, they remained white.) The bed was more comfortable than my SleepNumber bed, and they provide 4 pillows on a queen bed, which was nice. Hilton properties provide only 3 pillows. I would’ve given 4 stars if a fridge and microwave had been in the room and recycling available somewhere. I have an issue with food waste and didn’t have a fridge to store leftovers. There is no ice machine that is accessible to guests but the hotel staff will bring ice upon request, but not enough for a cooler. The staff respond to requests faster than anywhere I’ve ever stayed. The location is great for walking anywhere you’d want to visit in D.C. We walked to Union Station in 30 minutes. The garage parking at the inn is an adventure — the garage can be accesses from the alleyway around the corner from the hotel. There is no hotel room card reader to open the garage door, so the staff have to allow guests access in and out, so it feels and probably is more secure than most parking garages. We called to let the front desk know we were “home” to be allowed in. It wasn’t a hassle but it is unusual which sort of added to the experience of staying at the Morrison Clark. I would absolutely return here at each visit to D.C., if only they had a fridge and microwave. I did love my stay and recommend it if you don’t need a fridge and microwave.
susan able
susan able: I was so pleasantly surprised by my stay. After selling my DC house and moving to the Eastern Shore, I find myself needing to stay overnight in DC about once a week. So I get to try a lot of hotels. Price is a factor, and I chose Morrison Clark for that reason and the location this weekend. I found it to be an incredibly welcoming, comfortable hotel. Our room was small, but the bed was great and it was very clean. I love the interior courtyard and quirky Asian theme. The parking is tight, but it’s the city. I’ll be back for sure because I liked the comfy vibe.
chris antonelli
chris antonelli: Excellent stay. Was in town for a volleyball tournament at Convention Center. Only 5 minute walk so perfect location. Parking is in a private garage downstairs, convenient but pretty tight. Room is very small but comfortable and bathroom is very nice. Small fridge was much appreciated. We had breakfast at the restaurant twice, both times excellent service and good, standard food. It was VERY nice to come back to a quiet hotel after a long day in the convention center. The Marriot is super busy and loud, the bar is like a nightclub.
Response: Hi Chris! Thank you so much for the review. We love that we were able to provide you some quiet during the tournament - we like to think of the Morrison-Clark as a respite in the city. Please come back, again, for next year's tournament!
Mac
Mac: Do not stay at this hotel! Room was manageable, but they charge $40+ a day to park and have an awful parking situation in an alley and underneath the building. We scraped our car on a piece on unmarked concrete protruding from the wall of the exit ramp. Seems like a Department of Buildings violation. When brought up to management they said they cannot do anything about it and that we were making a big deal out of it. Will never stay here again!
Sarah Bigney McCabe
Sarah Bigney McCabe: The staff here were incredibly friendly and so helpful with everything. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We will stay here again!

Cambria Hotel Washington, D.C. Convention Center: what do users think?
e
e: I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago for a convention. I really liked it and decided to stay there for a vacation to DC. When I arrived I was told there that the restaurant would not be open for my entire stay. The hotel could have called me ahead of the stay to notify me of this development and give me the option to not stay there. One reason I picked the hotel was because as a solo traveler, I could easily get a meal especially at night. This ruined the vacation because I had to trek all over DC to find open restaurants. The pool was also closed although the website still advertises it as an amenity. The room was run down with broken furniture and a huge stain on the rug. I communicated all of this to multiple staff members and you think they would offer some sort of compensation for this, but no.
Response: Dear e, We desire to provide every guest with a pleasant stay, so I’m very sorry that we let you down this visit. We will continue to adjust our amenities with staffing levels are we move through the pandemic. We appreciate your review and hope to have the opportunity to deliver a more positive experience in the future. Thank you for staying with us. Sincerely, Aaron Caple General Manager
Stacey Kay
Stacey Kay: Fairly clean room, super friendly staff, beautiful lobby, nice fitness center. However, there are some questionable spots underneath the toilet bowl in our room. We also had no body wash in our shower dispenser and didn’t realize until I was in the shower, the WiFi operates at dial-up speeds the majority of the stay so far (we’re still here). And the website for the hotel made no mention that the pool was closed which was a huge reason for choosing this hotel, I would have booked elsewhere had I known. We also have to pay for parking ($35 a day) which is ridiculous considering I’m spending $400 for two beds/two nights here. So, nice at a glance but pretty lackluster overall.
Response: Dear Stacey Kay, Thank you for your review. I am very sorry to hear that you had a disappointing experience and sincerely apologize for the areas we failed to meet your expectations. Your feedback is important to us and helps us improve future guest experiences. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughtful reflections. Sincerely, Aaron Caple General Manager
JuniperRose
JuniperRose: Our room was spotless and everything was in order when we got there. The location is very close to the museums so it was very nice to be able to get back and forth. They have a small dining area thats open for diner and a bar. The only thing an issue is the customer service there is pretty cold. We spoke to one gentleman who was very helpful, but the ladies at the front were cut and dry. We called down to ask about checkout the morning of and she answered our question but then hung up in the middle of my husband thanking her. It’s not the end of the world but it just struck us as odd. I also witnessed only 1 waitress doing bar and waiting in the dining area. She was running herself all over trying to help everyone while 3 people stood behind the front desk. Is this normal? Perhaps they could help out with drinks and small things?
Response: Dear JuniperRose, I appreciate your feedback regarding your stay. Please accept my sincere apology that you felt you were not treated in a friendly and welcoming manner. That is not how we want to present ourselves to our guests and your comments will be instrumental in the training and education of our team members. Thank you for staying with us and I hope you will consider coming back. Sincerely, Aaron Caple General Manager

Hamilton Hotel DC: what do users think?
Gretchen Bennett
Gretchen Bennett: I was worried by some of the reviews, but my stay was terrific. Kind, attentive staff. Nice room. Comfy bed. Mini-fridge (which I love). Great meal in the restaurant. Sure, its an older hotel, but that gives it character and charm. Great walking location.
Response: Thank you for your review Gretchen Bennett, I am glad you enjoyed your experience staying with us. We pride ourselves on providing the best possible service and I am glad we exceeded your expectations. Please make sure to come see us again when you return to Washington and thank you so much again for choosing the Hamilton Hotel. Best Regards
C Yager
C Yager: Great staff, clean hotel, close to White house.; but a bit of a walk to Smithsonian. Comfortable bed, bathroom products are the giant size pump with very strong peppermint smell, a bit too much for me , nice water pressure in shower. Stayed on 2 floor but a bit noisy from street sounds, would recommend staying higher up. The hotel bar had great burgers.
Response: Thank you for your review C Yager, I am glad you enjoyed your experience staying with us. We pride ourselves on providing the best possible service and I am glad we exceeded your expectations. Please make sure to come see us again when you return to Washington and thank you so much again for choosing the Hamilton Hotel. Best Regards
Alicia Zelaya
Alicia Zelaya: The hotel room was great. The hotel was very pretty and well maintained.my only complaint really was that there was not vending machines or a small shop to allow you to buy small necessities like bottles of water, etc. However, the staff was very friendly. They even brought us a microwave to our room when I asked if there was a way to heat up left over food.
Response: Thank you for your review Alicia, I am glad you enjoyed your experience staying with us. We pride ourselves on providing the best possible service and I am glad we met your expectations. Please make sure to come see us again when you return to Washington and thank you so much again for choosing the Hamilton Hotel. Best Regards

Days Inn by Wyndham Washington DC/Connecticut Avenue: what do users think?
Kelly Cunningham
Kelly Cunningham: The reviews do don’t do this place justice. It was great for the price! The room was extremely clean, beds were very comfortable, and it had everything we needed for our stay. Yes, it was a little outdated, but you’re not paying $500 a night to stay here. Also, parking is only $25 a night On Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday-Thursday have free parking. There is no full continental breakfast, but there is coffee and muffins.. BUT, you’re in DC go enjoy breakfast at a good diner!
Response: Dear Kelly, We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your time with us at Days Inn Washington DC, and we're happy that our clean, comfortable accommodations left a positive impression on you. Please come back to visit us again the next time you're in the area!
Lauren Klos
Lauren Klos: Although the hotel didn’t seem like much from the outside, the lobby is very nice and well-kept and the staff were very friendly. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I liked being able to walk to restaurants nearby and being in the city itself (instead of having to stay in North Bethesda for a similar rate). The one downfall was the nightly $25 rate for self-parking in their open garage.
Response: Dear Lauren, We are thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your stay at Days Inn Washington DC. We agree; there is nothing better than a great staff and comfy bed to return to after a busy day, so we are happy you were impressed. Should your travels bring you back to the area, we hope you choose to stay with us again.
Phil Miller
Phil Miller: It’s a Days Inn. Can’t expect a lot. It was inexpensive and room 410 was clean. It is within the DC square. That is a lot. People at the desk were great. No breakfast, no microwave and no refrigerator. The only breakfast restaurant close is a Burger King. Old building so bring your own wall plugs etc. We will make it work because of the location and cleanliness.
Response: Dear Phil, Hearing from our guests is essential as we constantly strive to enhance our guest experience, so thank you for reaching out. Though it was a pleasure having you, and we are pleased to hear you enjoyed our convenient location and friendly staff, we regret that other areas of your stay fell short for you. Rest assured, your concerns are valid and will be addressed internally as we evolve our services and property. It is our hope that you will consider staying with us again in the future for a better visit.
A. Rosenquist
A. Rosenquist: My son and his friend were supposed to have a refrigerator but they said they didn’t have any due to Covid (?) but then they magically found one when I called and pointed out that we had a guest with a medical need for it. Be aware that they don’t charge the card you reserved with online unless you, the cardholder, are physically standing there holding it— not at all clear in the reservation process and very inconvenient in a city full of college students whose parents might want to pay from another place. It’s near the metro but other than that it’s not a particularly easy or pleasant place to stay.
Response: We appreciated the opportunity to host your son and his friend. Thank you for mentioning our convenient location near the Metro. While our accommodations are not equipped with a refrigerator, we're glad that our team was able to assist you with this request. Please know you can review a full list of our amenities on our website before making a reservation. If your son's travels bring him back to Washington DC, we hope he will return for an even better experience.
Hannah Mench
Hannah Mench: If you’re looking for an easy, no frills, clean, quiet, peaceful, safe place, on a main road, look no further. I stayed for one night just traveling through town and it was simple, tidy and perfect. Disclaimer: the bed was not the comfiest mattress in the world but it was fine, and hey, the lady at the front desk was nice so it balances out.
Response: Dear Hannah, We are delighted to hear we were exactly what you needed on your quick trip through town. From our clean, comfy accommodations to our friendly guest service, Days Inn by Wyndham Washington DC/Connecticut Avenue has everything one could need to enjoy a stay with us. While your bed wasn't to your preference, we're so happy our convenient location and peaceful atmosphere helped make up for it. The next time you're in town for a bit longer, depend on us again for the value you deserve!
Folu A
Folu A: Hotel was like a place that had its great days but now old and falling apart. Four stars for the location and its access to other things. There was a nice bookstore about 10minutes walk and the best coffee shop was just 1minute walk. The hotel itself is 2 stars. You can find cleaner places to sleep for same price or thereabouts. I was to spend 2nights there and even for such short stay, I couldn’t stay the second night. Staff was ok.
Response: Dear Folu, Though we are an older building, we do our best to maintain a high level of comfort. We're glad you still enjoyed the convenience of our location, and we hope for a chance to improve your perceptions the next time your travels point you in our direction.

Club Quarters Hotel White House, Washington DC: what do users think?
Amanda Sykes
Amanda Sykes: Super friendly staff!! They upgraded me with my pet to a larger room on the top floor with a view of the park across the street. Technology was awesome - could connect phone to TV. Everything was super clean! They also have water on every floor for the guests! The only thing I can “complain” about is there is no parking available. However, there is a garage around the block for $40 overnight. Last, there is no extra fee for a pet. Just have to sign a waiver. Will definitely stay here again if I am ever back in DC!
Tyler Stalletti
Tyler Stalletti: Staff was friendly but the hotel is of sub-par quality. Entering the room I actually thought it was great but then I noticed some things. The bathroom is small but it was gross as I smelled mildew. The tile flooring and walls in the shower were covered in mildew. Even the bottom of the show curtain had mildew. The bathroom had a drop ceiling which looked dirty and if the shower had mildew I’m sure the tile ceiling had it also. That’s not the worst part, I noticed when running the air conditioner I began to sneeze. I was out all day on Saturday walking dc with no problem. As soon as I went into my room and turned on the A/C I began sneezing. Left for dinner and kept sneezing which was horrible. After a few hours out I stopped sneezing. As soon as I came back to the hotel room which had the air running I started sneezing again. I can’t guarantee it was the air conditioner but their was definitely something in that room making me sneeze. The remote for TV also had white stuff all over it and was also gross. It was supposed to be all sanitized in a clear bag but obviously not. I honestly almost asked for my money back but the staff was so friendly that I didn’t want to.
Samia Muhammad
Samia Muhammad: This hotel 🏨 is best choice to be near from all activities near by such as White House. I highly recommend this hotel. The stuff especially Aline is amazing and helpful she changed my room next day to have a best view. The lounge in second floor has a fresh coffee ☕️. There is a water free.
Wei Hsu
Wei Hsu: We stayed here for two days, and I think I chose the best hotel in Washington DC! The location is great! Close to everywhere on foot. Including White House, monument and some museums! Also five mins away from subway station on foot! The service here is also great! The lobby is clean and make people feel comfortable. Next time when I travel to DC, I will choose this place again!
D Howe
D Howe: Stayed here in May 2022. One of the best big city hotel experiences I’ve had. It’s not fancy and the rooms are basic but they’re spotless, the place is quiet, bathrooms are modern and clean, the staff is polite and helpful. Highly recommend this property. There is a Boulanger in across the street that serves up incredible breakfast items. Right next to a mtetro station.
Ganindu Madhawa
Ganindu Madhawa: Stayed here for a week in Autumn 2017 and cost me around 260$/day just for the stay without meals. Obviously the rooms are comparatively smaller so was the bathrooms. . However it was perfectly equipped with needs for single person stay and I would say the stay was comfortable. The reception staff was so friendly The place is located in the heart of the busy suburbs and just few hundred yards from The White House, Renwick Gallery and a number of free museums. Rooms were clean.

ARC HOTEL Washington DC, Georgetown: what do users think?
Elizabeth Riggs
Elizabeth Riggs: Rates were very reasonable. Location was ideal (we were attending an event at Kennedy Center). The hotel is a block or so from where the free Kennedy Center stops. Our room was clean and well maintained. The beds (2 queens) were comfortable, with enough pillows and blankets. I would only mention that even though this hotel has been recently renovated there were no grab bars in the bathroom. Also lighting was a bit dark and the "desk" provided was too shallow to work at comfortably.
Response: Elizabeth behalf of the entire staff at the ARC HOTEL we want to thank you for staying with us. Hope we can welcome you back on a future visit.
Nina S
Nina S: All the staff members were amazing at accommodating our requests. The rooms are large and comfortable and the location is perfect.Only one star off because of the issue with heating during our stay which was ultimately resolved. But I would definitely stay here again for the customer service and location.
Response: Nina behalf of the entire ARC HOTEL staff want to thank you for staying with us. Look forward to your return which will afford us to exceed your expectations.
Amber Stile
Amber Stile: We stayed this past weekend and we really liked the hotel + location. Some reviews said it gets too hot at night, which it did, but once we cracked the windows it was totally fine. The elevator was the worst part - incredibly slow, and when we were checking out it was broken so we had to take the stairs (we were on the 7th floor). Room service was pretty good and took about an hour to get delivered. Overall a good experience!
Response: Amber during your stay the hotel was undergoing an elevator upgrade. Want to apologize for the inconvenience during your stay. We hope that on a future visit you'll give us another opportunity to exceed your expectations. Thank you for staying with us, as we appreciate your business.
J F
J F: The hotel was clean and the staff was very pleasant. Great location with only a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station. Great price for the location and accommodations. Cons: there was only 1 working elevator (itself kind of a tight fit) but I saw the hotel was working on fixing the other one. Also, the room gets warm, which was okay for a mid-March trip (the windows opened for natural AC) but I’m not sure how comfortable it would be in the summer months. Tl;dr - good place with a great, safe location. Minor issues with cooling the room. Would go again
Response: Good day, J F! Thank you for making ARC Hotel your hotel of choice when visiting our Nation's Capital and thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are so glad to hear that you had a pleasant stay with us, and enjoyed our central location. We actually just switched from the heat setting to the A/C setting this week. We look forward to seeing you in the future! Warm regards, Jake- Front Office Manager
