Trinity Claycomb: It’s a normal hotel with a good price. What makes it better is the customer service. The gentleman that checked me in was so nice and friendly. His name was Kobe. Such a gentleman and a genuinely nice person. Gave me a $25 food credit because I walked a long way due to google map mess up and I had my baby daughter with me. Hopefully he sees this review because I really appreciate his kindness and amazing attitude.
Hoyt Phillips: Recently stayed here for 2 nights for a work trip. The staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. Kobe was great checking me in and scheduling a cab for me when I left. The hotel is a bit dated but clean. The elevators are really fast. The restaurant is somewhat limited and you get your food to go after ordering at the bar. Overall a nice stay and it’s really close to DCA airport.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, Hoyt. It was a pleasure to welcome you as our guest and we are happy to know we were able to make the majority of your stay enjoyable. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!
Janette Cobb: I’d like to take a moment to recognize 2 employees that went over the top to make my stay pleasant during a very tough time for me. I recently stayed at this location due to extreme weather delays from a airline flight. During my stay Employees Carmen and Gelila where are exceptionally phenomenal and took pride in ensuring stay was comfortable. I can honestly say that this was my most memorable experience EVER at a Marriott property. I highly recommend staying the rooms where clean, staff was friendly, knowledgeable and always helpful 10STAR review! Thank you guys so much
Banumathi Selvaraj: I went with my family and we were very disappointed. We were looking forward to the buffet but we got very few options. There is no dining option. Food did not meet our expectations. Poor service. We waited a while for our food. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. We had a great view of the Pentagon and the Washington monument. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience from your recent stay with us, Banumathi. First and foremost, please accept my sincerest apologies for the unsatisfactory experience you had during your time with us. We work very hard to make sure all of our guests have a rewarding stay and are disheartened to learn of your disappointment. I never like hearing that our guests won’t be back, and I hope you will give us another opportunity to gain your trust and show you the outstanding service we normally provide.
Shelley Brosnan: Front desk staff was incredibly personal, professional and helpful as I had some questions regarding my reservation. They also made sure I knew of all the amenities. I remember Gelina at the front desk helping me, she was very kind to me. There is a shuttle to the National Mall which is super convenient (and maybe to the airport? ). It is a 10 minute drive from all of the DC attractions, minutes from the airport, and there is a parking garage- cheaper than all the other hotels nearby. Lovely views, as my room looked out over the Air Force Memorial and the Pentagon and Capitol in the background. There is a convivence store inside the hotel for any last-minute souvenirs or forgotten items from home, as well as a bistro inside for American-style food and drinks from morning to afternoon, and again in the evening. One more thing, it is so quiet! I travel a lot for work and when you are able to get a good night sleep, it makes a huge difference. I will be staying here again in a few week and I am excited.

Cassandra Corbett: My husband and I had to unexpectedly stay at the Sheraton Hotel while we wait for repairs to our condo to be done. I have worked in the hospitality industry for years. I will say I believe this location is short staff. Seeing the staff work morning and night trying to make accommodations for guests under the demands is very impressive. The all have executed hospitality very well. They all have continued to keep their composure and patience when busy. I know it can be very overwhelming at times. I think all of the staff here are very personable and do an amazing job. I hope they all are rewarded for their hard work. Its hard to find good help and they all are it!
Michelle Vernon: I should have read reviews. Pros: It’s really close to an amazing Thai restaurant and Harris Teeter. It’s walkable to the Potomac River and a park. Location is perfect for travelers. It has good AC and the bed and pillows are comfy. The staff were really friendly. Cons: There is no early check-in, so when you get there, there is a line out the door and it takes nearly 30 minutes to check-in. One of the elevators was broken, so it took forever to get to the room. This hotel also doesn’t have anything included (the free wifi is really slow) Parking is $32 a night, water bottles left in the room aren’t free. There is no microwave…NO MICROWAVE. The coffee isn’t very good in the room. The showers don’t drain well. Customer service wasn’t helpful. I called multiple times to confirm that the location I stayed at had a pool and both times the person I spoke to verified it did. One part of the website also said there was a pool, or I misread….The specific room details said that a pool wasn’t an included amenity but photos of the location and calls to the hotel said otherwise. When you call, you apparently don’t get people at the location.
Wulfie Clark: First, the good news….great location. Super amenities & waterfront nearby. Extremely poor hotel service. Checked in on a Sunday, used to housekeeping every couple of days in these times. By Wednesday, nothing. Go to the desk to be informed you have to REQUEST housekeeping. Ok, by this time, the 3 small trashcans in the room are overflowing & no usable towels. Request housekeeping come the next day & ask for fresh towels and facial tissue. End of that day, nothing. Call guest services, request towels AGAIN, finally get them. Thursday? You guessed it, no housekeeping. Just like at home, took out the trash myself (took it downstairs to a large can outside the front entrance). You have to do a better job of taking care of your guests than this.

Lisa: You will hear the food and beverage director before you see him. During our trip, he raised his voice multiple times quite angrily - it was quite concerning to hear him speak to guest service staff in such a way and that he was comfortable enough to do it in front of guests, too. Otherwise, my husband and I had an absolutely lovely stay. Our room was amazing and there were lots of friendly faces. I also especially enjoyed the pillows, and I wish I had thought to ask what type they were as they were super comfy.
Squirrely: Five stars all around. The rooms are elegant, updated, clean, and comfortable. Each staff member I dealt with went above and beyond to help. I was especially pleased with the front desk employee who grabbed me a cup of coffee in the middle of the night when I had to catch an early flight. The location is excellent and there are plenty of restaurants and attractions within walking distance.
Liem Huynh: We stayed for one night in the Metropolitan Suite in June 2022. The room desperately needs renovation and service was nonexistence. Disappointing experience overall. No prearrival email, no response when I emailed the butler service for restaurant reservation, zero communication from the butler during the entire stay. Unfriendly lobby staff, no greeting, had to open the door on my own at times. The Metropolitan Suite was old and in need of a renovation. Dirty pillow cases, worn out carpets, water from faucet smelled a little punky and we even found pieces of shattered glass on the floor. Only positive experience was the check-in, after that everything went down hill. Recommend trying something else while you’re in DC. Much better experience at the Ritz Carltons if you’re a Marriott fan.
Joe J.: Amazing tea experience in DC, probably the best in terms of service, flavor, presentation and selection of teas. The cherry blossom touch is a nice and pleasant surprise. Although it is on the pricey end, definitely recommend!
Ayesha SH: I attended the Whimsy event on April 1. Pros and cons below: Pros: Wine was good. We ordered a Napa cab so it was costly. Ambiance was decent. The best part was their waiters who were super friendly and hospitable. Cons: I was told parking would be validated prior to attending the event. On the day of they refused. We spent upwards of $600 and they wouldn’t validate the parking. Food was ok. I didn’t feel that great later at night. The princess thing was childish, hilarious, and unnecessary. Adults attend these kinds of events not kids. Overall not worth the money they charged us.

Lewis G: I had my room canceled at another hotel and had to drive to this hotel. When I arrived for an early check in, the front desk clerk (Mr. Addy I believe) did an exceptional job easing my check in process. He made sure (on his own) that I had an available room and my wife and daughter was able to get some needed rest. Great hotel to stay in and when I am back in town again, I know where I will be staying. Best.
mahlail shahid: they couldn’t locate my reservation at first but the front desk rep was able to create a new one for me. then i got a call later on from the front desk to tell me that maintenance had to come and fix the blind in the room like why couldn’t that wait? i had to ask them that i want them to wait and then the key cards to the room were deactivated somehow and i had to go all the way to the front desk to get a new card. very bad experience. not sure if i will be coming back.
Craig Zimmer: Needs updating as there are no USB charging places that work. The room is comfortable but the hvac controls are on the unit not a thermostat.
Christina: Not at all what I would have expected. Front desk staff bordered on rude and overall not very helpful. Room was clean. Parking is $20 per night.
Brian Lord: From your walk into the lobby to you reaching your room immaculate. Clean room, friendly staff A++ stay.
