Washington Seminar Center: what do users think?

john henninger: One of the worst experiences of my life. I went there with a group, and the first thing you notice when you walk in is the smell. There weren't enough bunk beds, and I ended up on a couch straight out of the '60s, that also probably hadn't been wiped down since then either. The kitchen was just as bad. It was all cramped and dirty, and it was nigh impossible to feel comfortable eating so.ething that came out of that kitchen. The place was simply put, worse than a dumpster. If you can afford even the worst motel in the city, you definitely should do it. I know it felt like heaven when I checked into a Marriot. This place almost ruined my vacation, and a Marriot was cheaper.

Gary Clarke: There is available parking. The photographs are incredibly misleading, the photographer could make Susan Boyle look like Mila Kunis. I’m confident that medieval dungeons would be more comfortable and welcoming than this place.
The bunk beds could have been taken directly from a navy seal training camp, like sleeping in a torture device. The artefacts spread throughout the hostel make the place really messy.
The amount of ants and flies were immediately apparent, looks like the set of A Bugs’ Life. The locked fire escapes, like the nightmare scenes in Titanic of locked cages, are a massive concern and that’s not to mention the broken furniture.also there’s an elevator that a stranger walked in to the accommodation while we had 11 teenagers there.
I’d highly advise anyone to avoid at all costs. I’ll never be back.
However location is ideal.

Monique Watson: Roaches on the floor and mold everywhere! The entire place needs to be flipped.

Achiad Kalman: Good place to stay in Capitol Hill

Clifford Napoleone: Avoid.

Patrick Joyner: awesome

Theo Pearson: it was slumped

Johann: (Translated by Google) Very unhygienic. Cockroaches in toilets. Many games. Kitchen ok. Outdated. (Original) Sehr unhygienisch. Kakerlaken in Toiletten. Viele Spiele. Küche ok. Veraltet.

Generator Washington DC: what do users think?

Yidan Zheng: Stayed there for three nights and it’s really good!! The staff are so nice and friendly. They allow free late check out at 12pm. And the lobby is so comfortable. They have pool and gym and they also offer bike rental for only $14 for a day! The location is good with the bus stations. The only thing is the king bed is actually two twin sizes beds but I am okay with this! Thank you for providing such a good place to stay!!!
Response: Hi, Thank you so much for the great review!! We are so happy to see that you enjoyed time here with us!

Jasmine: Not a hostel for socializing, but it is very elegant, clean, and innovative! Hands down one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s basically a hotel with bunk beds. The shower and toilet was in the room and is set up exactly the same as a hotel. Bunk beds have a light, charger ports and cute little framed pictures of US presidents. Sheets and pillows were extremely comfy. Bikes available for rental. Cafe on-site that closes at 2. Great place to stay!!
Response: Hi Jasmine, Thank you very much for the review! We are happy to see that you enjoyed our dorm rooms!!

Ras Sammiedread - DJ Morefire: Was in DC for a business trip with my wife and have to stay the night and finish up next day. Booked the Deluxe King Suite online and check in was smooth with Brittany at the front desk. Room and bath was very clean. Garage parking was a real test for my maneuverability skill and thought was a little expenses($40) for garage fees. We really loved our stay and peace of mind regardless. Will definitely again for sure.
Response: Hi, Thank you soo much for the great review! We are happy to see that Brittany made your check in smooth and that ypu enjoyed your stay here with us. We hope to see you again!!

Nate H: We initially stayed here due to the few amount of hotels with parking. So glad that we did. It is close to everything you want to see in DC. The staff are super friendly. Rooms were clean. Rooms are a bit small, but we weren't in them much so it wasn't a big deal. Overall great place to stay!
Response: Thank you for the 5 star review Nate. We appreciate your business.

Chelsey Birgisdóttir: TL;DR I would only stay here as a last resort. I would not recommend this hostel. Positives: +Great location near DuPont Circle. +Allan the manager is great and super responsive. Some of the other front desk staff were hospitable and respectful. +It’s clean! Negatives: -The beds are super uncomfortable. I think the mattresses are SUPER old. They sink in the middle. The sheets do not fit the bed and keep coming off during the night. - There is one INCREDIBLY rude and disrespectful receptionist. She was the one working when I checked in at 7am on 4/28/2022. Not only was she very unhelpful, she was having an attitude with me. She cut me off when I was speaking. She was being short with me as well. Fortunately the issue with my reservation was resolved (once I contacted Allan) but honestly my interaction with her tainted my whole stay there. I felt extremely uncomfortable approaching the front desk whenever she was working there and would wait till the afternoon staff was in to ask for anything.
Response: .

Harry “Burge” Burgess: Rooms are nice. Atmosphere isn't really one for making new friends. Very quiet and people keep to themselves. More of a hotel vibe. Storage under the bed isnt high enough and has an annoying cage on the top that only opens halfway. Basically meaning its impossible to fit a suitcase inside. Very annoying. Internet constantly has to reconnect and isn't very fast. Bathroom is clean and shower is nice. Fresh towels provided daily. Can't take food or drinks up to room. Location isn't the best.
Response: Harry, It is very disappointing to see that there were so many aspects of your stay that fell short. My apologies for the mentioned items that relate directly to our hotel. We do appreciate your having provided us with an opportunity to host you while in our nation's capital.

Eric Sullivan: It was a pretty 2 star experience. While checking in, we were told our room was not yet ready for another 30-45 minutes. Understandable. After sinking deep into the middle of the "deluxe king," I realized it was two twin beds strapped together. Parking was good. Good location.
Response: Eric, I am sorry to read that you were not totally satisfied with your accommodations. Thank you for your positive reflection regarding our parking facility and location. We hope you will consider another stay with us in the future.

Alex Kaplan: Location is perfect. Hotel/ Hostel combo. The place is clean as it's possible in this combo facility. Day time personal are ok. The opposite is late evening and night. The night shift are rude and useless, if it wasn't for a nice security guard we would have to carry 3 suitcases from parking to the elevators. Like previously stated the rooms are clean but definitely in dire need for maintenance. as the picture show. I couldn't take the picture of the standing water in the showers, it takes long time to drain or the crack ceiling with chipping paint.
Response: Alex, Thank you for such a frank review. We appreciate the aspects of our property that met your standards. My sincerest apology for your arrival experience. Rudeness is not acceptable in our business of hospitality. I can assure you the matter will be addressed. My hope is that you will consider returning in the future to see the best of who we are.

Daniel Liestman: We thought the price was right and it was. But I recall a lot of nickel and dining with added fees. The parking garage system for both entering and exiting is a challenge and the parking spots are impossibly tight. Once you have parked, good luck wending your way back up. The amenities were slim to none. The room was small, but we loved how it was decorated—anything but typical!
Response: Hi Daniel, thank you so much for the review. We are sorry about the parking. We do hope that you will give us another try one day.

Daniel Kokkila: Don't waste your money! We booked 3 rooms for a 4 day conference. All the rooms were advertised as king rooms. They were not. They put two twins together and advertise it as a king. It was extremely uncomfortable. I dont know if I've ever had such a bad night's sleep. It is also very noisy. Any time a door shuts, opens or someone is in the hall you can hear them. They also have clocks in your room on the headboard that you can't unplug and they tick all night long.
Response: Hello Daniel, Thank you for the review. We are sorry to see that you did not enjoy your stay here with us. We have noted your concerns and plan to improve.

Beacon Hotel & Corporate Quarters: what do users think?

Jack Luxear: The staff were nice and the rooms were clean, and the bed was very comfortable. However, the furniture was quite dated and so were the facilities, not to mention there was really not a good place to sit down and work at a table comfortably, which seems a bit wasteful of space considering the room was big with a lot of unnecessary open space. The bathroom was not a very comfortable experience even though we stayed in the Executive King suite which originally cost 700 per night, probably before COVID. For this price I'd expect a better experience, but it was very clean. I've stayed at hotels for one third the price with better rooms, but the location of the hotel near a metro more than makes up for its downfalls.
Response: We loved reading your great review! Our team will be excited to hear how much you appreciated your stay with us. We're happy you enjoyed your visit and that your overall experience with us did not disappoint. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you with the best customer service We hope to see you again soon.

June T: Unfortunately, my stay at the Beacon Hotel was very mediocre and this place seems more like a cheap motel because of how outdated all of the appliances are Such as the temperature control, TV, closet door and shower. Cons: There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room, I was told if I needed a microwave I could go to the third-floor and use the communal microwave. There must be something loose in the air vents or maybe outside of my window because I could hear something that sounded like pots and pans banging in the wind, It seems to be coming from the ceiling directly above me but definitely not another guest because the noise was too consistent. I heard this noise at least 2-3 times a minute each day/all night despite not really being in the room during the day time. The bath faucet constantly dripped, Either a couple drops or a constant stream even hours after taking a shower. I had a north facing window, they really need to renovate the windows with double or triple pane to keep out noise from the traffic circle. Lots of angry honking during the day and police sirens at night. I booked a 3 night stay and every morning around 8am housekeeping would try to enter my room (without verbally announcing themselves) even though I had the Do Not Disturb sign on my door. I am from the West Coast, so 8am feels like 5am to me, I’d get woken up *every single morning* of my stay to the sound of someone trying to force into my room against the deadbolt which would put me in a panic until I remembered it’s just housekeeping. Pros: Clean hotel and my room was clean. I really liked the lay out of my room and all the surface space provided. Front desk and housekeeping staff was very friendly when I would see them in the hallways. The coffee from the coffee pods they provide for the machine in room was tasty. Very convenient location, I picked this place because it’s easy walking distance from both Farragut North and West metro stops. Ultimately I would never stay here again because I had so many issues with either noise from outside or inside the hotel waking me up throughout the night. For someone who is a heavy sleeper these things probably will not bother you. After reading other reviews I am definitely going to keep an eye on my bank statements to make sure I get my $150 ($50/day) deposit back. Other reviews mentioned issues with hot water or the key cards, but I did not have these issues personally. Bar and Grill was closed and has been for many many months. Any reviews that are recent and mention the restaurant being open are likely paid fake reviews.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. This is very important to us and we will be discussing solutions with our management team to improve our services.

Mark West: An above average hotel but the room needs a little maintenance attention. Wallpaper was pealing off in a few areas and the plug in the bathroom sink was not functioning, had to remove it so the water could drain. A little pricey but due to its location. Restaurant is not open right now. There was no refrigerator in the room. For a room that costs over $200 a night to stay, that should be standard equipment. The staff is accommodating though. We have a late flight so they let us leave our luggage after check out
Response: Thank you for the kind words, Mark! Our team is delighted knowing you appreciated our efforts and service. We always aim to provide our guests with a perfect stay, so we're disheartened to know about your concerns. We will be discussing this situation with our team. We look forward to hosting you again soon!

Daniella Cruz (Danny): Very nice hotel for the price.Great customer and room service, we have no complaints. Also we got a room with an amazing view for a very good price. It's pretty close to everything and it has a bar and grill in the 3rd floor with great service. Totally recommend!!!
Response: Thank you for the perfect rating, Daniella! We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your time with us here at The Beacon Hotel, and that you found the value of our hotel to hit the mark! It is lovely to know that you appreciated your accommodations, including the amazing view, as well as our prime location. Our outstanding staff strives to satisfy our guests in all aspects possible, and your feedback allows us to know that we are succeeding! It would mean a lot if you would share your fabulous experience with other travelers on TripAdvisor at the following link: https://www.tripadvisor.com/UserReviewEdit-g28970-d84113-Beacon_Hotel_Corporate_Quarters-Washington_DC_District_of_Columbia.html Thank you again for your valuable feedback, and we hope to see you soon for another unforgettable experience!

Elizabeth xyz: This place is in a great location from the museums in DC and other surrounding cities. They were very accommodating when the first room smelled like cigarette smoke. Not all rooms have refrigerators, but we were accommodated for one due to medical conditions. There's no swimming pool and the rooftop bar was not service. We paid for parking which was located under hotel and $49 a day and we weren't supposed to be allowed access to vehicle after it's been parked but someone took us down to retrieve some items. Parking wasn't available if you weren't back by 11 pm. Ice machines were on every floor but microwaves were not. No microwave in the rooms. Nice view from 7th floor.
Response: Hi Elizabeth, It's rewarding to hear that your stay at The Beacon Hotel was filled with happiness. The time and effort we put into making sure our guests are catered to is something we take pride in, so we're glad you appreciated our prime location, and your overall stay. Thank you for the kind words! We would love to host you again!

Ariana Ramirez: This hotel is definitely over rated. My worst hotel experience ever by far. I am really big on reading reviews before I go places but I took a chance on the Beacon & I absolutely regret it. It was an uncomfortable stay. The staff was very professional and had great hospitality though. The room was very small, there was dust all over the bed side tables and phone. The bed sheets and pillow cases had stains of blood. The filter for the heating was fire hazard filthy. No microwave, no fridge, no ice machine & parking is very expensive at almost $60 a night including tax. If you are out by the time valet leaves for the night, once you return you will have to park out front of the hotel instead of in the underground garage. Oh & don’t forget the hotel fees for things that you won’t even use or that’s closed.
Response: Thank you for your feedback we will address your issues with our team.

Steve Jenkins: We recently stayed at the beacon hotel and corporate quarters in Washington DC. This was singularly one of the worst hotel stays in over 30 years of staying hotels around the world. The list of issues is expansive, and started before check in. So I was traveling for work and booked over three weeks out, as we were flying in from Hawaii after an overnight flight, we requested an early check in at 1pm. The message that we received said they would do their best to help us out. On arrival, the man behind behind the desk was like the soup guy from Seinfeld and insisted that there were no early check ins and that check I was 3pm. It wasn’t that he wasn’t polite, he was just outright rude. On check in we were also advised that’s restaurant is closed, the rooftop bar is closed and there is limited housekeeping due to COVID, despite this there is a $28 daily resort fee 😕. We were the put into a different room. To that which was booked, it’s a standard queen, and was tiny. After clarifying they moved us to a deluxe double double, which was roomier, but was tired and old, with a shower that has water, but no water pressure. Every day the room cards did not work, and resulted in multiple trips to reception to have them reset. Not once, not even once did anyone at reception acknowledge any issue with the room key system, in fact they used all standard hotel excuses about you must have put it near your phone, your credit cards etc etc. the thing is it was soooo widespread and whenever we would be getting a reset there would be a line, it was just unacceptable and avoidable. The 2 lifts in the building are tiny, slow and barely functioning. And finally to checkout, by this point we expected little, and the management didn’t let us down. As we were leaving at 4am in the morning, I went down the evening prior and requested to finalize my account and gain a receipt, so we could just drop keys and go in the morning. I was told this wasn’t possible as the cost of the final night didn’t click in until midnight, so I requested that the reception representative just process it at midnight and then have a printout that I could collect when I left. The reception representative said that as she was leaving before midnight this couldn’t be done and I would have to call down to have this done before I left. In addition the rate on the invoice was more than that quoted, when I showed the reception representative the emails I had received from the hotel, with the hotels email address, she denied that it had come from the hotel, and insisted it was from a third party booking agent. This was the cherry on the very average cake of disappointment that this stay was. I can honestly say that I will NEVER stay in this hotel again, and I would strongly advise that you are better to join the homeless lady at the nearby park, rather than put up with rude, incompetent staff, and unacceptable facilities.
Response: Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us your feedback, Steve. We will have a team member reach out to you about your review.

Cassie Bossard: The room we reserved was full so we were 'upgraded' for $15. While the room was spacious and in a great location, it was filthy. The tub was so disgusting my friend didn't even shower after seeing me stand in water that wouldn't drain. Even a motel 6 has a mini fridge and microwave, not here. Zero amenities, who handed out these 4 stars because this isn't a 4 star hotel? The restaurants were also closed per city of DC, that makes me wonder if it was a cleanliness issue. Don't stay here if you like clean.
Response: Providing our guests with an great experience with us is our main focus, and we're disappointed to know we didn't do our best during your stay. We're regretful to hear about your accommodations and will be speaking with our housekeeping team to remind them on the important of fresh rooms. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on how we can improve

Hyatt Place Washington Dc/White House: what do users think?

Adam Green: Our experience was mostly positive at this hotel. The rooms are nice and stylish, the breakfast was tasty, and the staff was really nice. I decided to leave a review because there were several things that I thought could have made the stay even better: 1) There should probably be more room in the breakfast area as it is pretty cramped. 2) It would be nice if breakfast were served until 9:30 or 10 instead of 9 on weekdays, as it can be difficult to make it down for breakfast by 9 during a vacation. 3) The advertisements for the in-house restaurant seem a little misleading, mentioning that they have a finely curated and locally sourced/inspired menu when in fact the food options are pretty basic. It wasn't bad food, but the difference between the ads and what the restaurant actually is was a little ridiculous. 4) Communication about how to park when the hotel is booked online would be helpful--it can be stressful driving in the city, and clear instructions about where you can park while you check in and await the valet would bring peace of mind. We got lucky and found a spot, but if there hadn't been one, I'm not sure what we would have done with the car while checking in. 5) I think it would be nice to have more signs with general information for guests, e.g. when breakfast is, when checkout is, etc. I ended up just googling these things, but a sign at the front desk would be better. 6) The valet parking is really expensive! It would be nice if the price for parking was a bit lower as that would make guests feel more inclined/willing to tip the drivers themselves. 7) The hotel restaurant/front desk should get a card reader so there is another option for payment besides cash or charging to the room.
Response: Thank you for reaching out to us, Adam Green! We're so glad you had a mostly positive experience with us and we appreciate your detailed review! We will take your considerations into account and it helps to know that we're doing a good job! We would love to host you again sometime soon.

Erin Miller: beautiful hotel room. very clean, and amazing breakfast with all vegetarian options. the ladies at the front desk were super nice and informative. the valet was great too, I left my phone in the car by accident and he gladly retrieved our car for us so I could get it. thanks so much!
Response: Thanks for the great review, Erin! It's wonderful you enjoyed your stay at Hyatt Place Washington DC/White House so much! We strive for excellence so we're thrilled you appreciated not only our remarkable team and cleanliness, but also our gorgeous rooms and delicious breakfast offerings! Your praise lets us know we're doing our job! We can't wait to host you again soon for another amazing experience!

Felipe Sales: My stay here was very disappointing. I only chose this hotel due to the Hyatt brand, but after speaking to some locals apparently this one has a reputation for not being as nice as the others. On arrival they said I couldn't check in because my name wasn't on the reservation (it was made under my friend's name), and told me to call them and have them call the hotel to include it, otherwise I wouldn't be allowed. After calling him, he said it was already included ages ago and told them to check again. Told the staff member that and she said: oh yeah, it's right here in the comments. Same thing happened again when I forgot my key in the room. The guy said I was not the person on the reservation, and I had to keep telling him to check the comments section so he would let me in. Service in the hotel was terrible all around. Other than the person at the bar and by the door (who were very friendly), every person I came across on the help desk seems to dread talking to customers and every time you say good morning or hello they just turn away. My room was ridiculously noisy, I could hear the people on the next room coughing and sneezing during the night and when it was raining, the walls kept making a cracking sound every 1 second that sounded like a torture movie, so I had to sleep with noise cancellation headphones. Opening and closing the blinds is a challenge. I am skinny, but somehow they expect someone to squeeze into a tiny gap next to the wardrobe and keep pulling that cord. Breakfast is served until 9am which seems a bit silly if people are on holiday and most other hotels are until at least 9.30am. and it is honestly a bit sad looking: all they had were eggs and a few sausages in a sad looking paper plate that makes you feel like you're eating in basic economy.

Anna G: The hotel is located 10 minutes away (walking) from the White House and all main attractions such as Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. There is a good transportation system around it if you don't want to use taxi services. The hotel also has a rooftop bar which has finger food and variety of drinks (however it was advertised as a restaurant with a full size menu) We had one double room and one room with king size bed. It shall be noted that both rooms had coaches that could be extended to another sleeping spot. The rooms were clean however we were missing toilet brush and one blanket had a hole in it. The breakfast was included into the price and consisted of a buffet, coffee and juice bars. It was a little bit challenging to find a table, so many customers took the food to their rooms. The staff was friendly, professional and attentive.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to leave this wonderful review, Anna! We're so glad to hear that you had a positive stay with us at Hyatt Place Washington DC/White House! We're also thrilled that you loved our central location so much! We'd love to see you again soon so we can share an even more enjoyable experience with you.

Erin Robertson: Pros: Superb location close to everything you can walk everywhere! 2 blocks from white house and great selection of restaurants nearby. Phenomenal staff so friendly and accommodating! Clean grounds inside and out. Rooftop bar, however if u don't look high class some of the patrons can be rude. Cons: Beds and pillows lumpy and hard, woke up hurting every day. No pool. Breakfast done at 9a so we missed it a couple times. Next to a Gentleman's club, the patrons won't bother you but if you have a room on the adjoining wall you will hear the music until 2a but they provide earplugs.
Response: We appreciate the time you’ve taken to share your feedback, Erin. Although we’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed our location, clean facilities, and interacting with our team, it’s disappointing to hear that you weren't completely satisfied with our beds, breakfast hours, and sound insulation. We pride ourselves on providing excellent service and a comfortable environment to our guests at all times so please know that your concerns will be addressed to the appropriate members of our team moving forward. We do hope you allow us another opportunity to share a more positive experience with you soon.

Catherine McGuckin: Wonderful Staff And Convenient Location!! This is a well-managed property and highly recommend! Your staff should be commended. Your valet men are hard working and made sure my son’s truck was out the night before he was to report to USMC Quantico. Thank you gentlemen!! Miss T! Thank you!!! Miss T saved the day ensure my son’s shirt was dry before his departure! You were so pleasant and we’re so grateful! Great property, nice variety at breakfast, rooftop bar was great! Easy walking distance to Metro!
Response: Thank you for taking the time to leave this wonderful review, Catherine McGuckin! We're thrilled to know you enjoyed your stay at Hyatt Place Washington DC/White House so much! We strive for excellence so we're pleased to hear you appreciated not only our courteous staff and prime location, but also our amenities! Your praise lets us know we're succeeding! We can't wait to host you again for yet another unforgettable visit! Have a lovely day!

Celine Aka-Koffi: This hotel is certainly not up to my standards (I didn't make the reservation. If I had, it would not have been here). The staff at the front desk would benefit from some training on how to welcome guests. Our room was relatively spacious and cozy. The back of the toilet seat was disgusting. Housekeeping needs to do better. I won't return to this hotel.

Elizabeth Towe: Just completed a 5 night stay for our vacation to Washington DC and while I struggled to pick a hotel for us to stay at, I’m SO glad I chose this one. From the moment we checked in the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is so clean, the bed was SO COMFORTABLE - like sleeping on a cloud. Huge bonus for us was that they have Chromecast on the TV so you can watch your Netflix and other streaming services. The free breakfast was outstanding. It was different every day and they had such a nice variety of options. Location was convenient and within 30 min walk to National Mall and other attractions. Only a 5-10 min walk to the Metro if you choose to go that route like we did several times as well. I do want to note that the only disappointing thing we encountered was one night we heard what sounded like a band very close to the hotel playing drums and music til close to midnight. We used a sound machine app on our phones to drown out the noise so we could go to sleep. I HIGHLY recommend you end your hotel search now and book this hotel for Washington DC!
Response: Thanks for the great review, Elizabeth! It's wonderful you enjoyed your stay at Hyatt Place Washington DC/White House so much! We strive for excellence so we're thrilled you appreciated not only our courteous staff and comfortable accommodations, but also our amenities and prime location! InterContinental Washington D.C. - The Wharf, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?

Hampus Engstroem: Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. This website will compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the best in this area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure will love it I'm sure! The staff at the InterContinental on the Wharf D.C. is all-round amazing. I am so happy we chose this venue for our recent event. Every member of their team is truly hospitable, and they are dedicated to every client’s success and every guest’s experience. The Sales and Event Managers were helpful/agile partners to us through multiple event date and contract changes, thanks Mayte & Alicia! The Banquet Director was dependable at every moment for our 3 day-event and made sure everything was executed to perfection, thanks George! The hosts at the front door/front desk helped all the guests in our room block have an easy and enjoyable stay for the duration of our event. Thanks to all for helping make our event a success!

Kyle Lennon: Shout Out to Meredith, she is a gem and a half at this hotel! This property is very new and certainly a show stopper, I love the ultramodern design and the bathrooms were stunning. I also loved the balcony overlooking the river and walkways. The bar had great service and great personalities to accompany your cocktails while they served you. Top notch hotel and will certainly make this my preferred DC hotel!

Adrienne Messe: The staff at the InterContinental on the Wharf D.C. is all-round amazing.

James Barton: The location is the absolute best if you're going to a concert at The Anthem. Everything about the hotel was lovely, clean, and we'll maintained. Service was perfect. Espresso machine and hot water for tea in the room was a good detail. Of course, this is a very pricey hotel, even for DC. Our room was near the elevator, but there was never a noise issue from outside the room.

Hope Poulsen: Pool is WAY smaller than pictures, we were all shocked at how small. The pool deck gave me and every single one of my friends splinters. And, there are only 5 lounge chairs for the entire pool. Staff is very friendly, but we had to ask for the same requests multiple times. So they seem a little disorganized. Room was very nice & clean and the location is perfect! I chose this rating because of the value - it’s not a terrible place to stay by any means, but you don’t get what you pay for. Not unreasonable to have high expectations when paying almost $500 a night, and this place did not meet those expectations.

Hyatt Place Washington Dc/Us Capitol: what do users think?

Jessica Marie: I stayed here last week. Overall, I had a pleasant time and experience even though I did not get the room I initially paid and requested for. I paid for early check-in and Higher Floor Room. When I arrived I was given a key to a High Floor Room but someone was still in the room. Let the front desk rep know and was given another key to a lower floor room but still had a nice view. Room was clean and roomy enough space for two relax and comfortable. Breakfast was lackluster so don't have high hopes. Hotel is in a perfect location, close to great food spots, grocery store and my favorite Starbucks. 5 minutes from the Metro and Close to Downtown. I will stay here again on my future visits.

Melanie Brown: Hotel is nice, breakfast is good, everything was clean and well stocked. Giving 5 stars because the staff is exceptional! Above and beyond meeting every need and SUPER friendly! Another bonus is the cold water they keep in the lobby. It had ice and was full every time we came down morning or night. What a comfort for busy tourists, especially in the summer. There are drugstores, food and coffee right around the corner. And ubers into all of the tourist attractions were fairly inexpensive. We will be staying here again! dispense in the lobby

Derek Kruger: Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any room. This site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you won't be let down. Pola P: The sheet of the bed was dirty. The road outside was very loud and I could hear every car going by while being in my room. The walls are very thin and I could hear people from the other room almost all evening. The bathroom door was very loud! It was squeaking. The breakfast wasn’t that good. The room was spacious and nice. The air conditioner was very easy to operate. The elevators were very fast and nice!

Sonny Iqbal: I stayed in this location for wife's birthday! The staff was very nice and courteous. They made our stay very special. The place was clean and the room has great views. Special thanks to the front desk staff and the General Manager who was present. I highly recommend staying here. Great location for activities in DC. Close to H street and the national Mall.

Jen Bradley: Pay for the valet or your car WILL be broken into!!! At least a dozen cars had a window smashed out during our stay & center consoles ripped out. They put two holes in my window trying to break in but couldn’t get it to shatter. Everyone else, not so lucky. When I told the front desk they said they tell everyone not to park on the street (when we arrived they said valet or street were the options, no warning whatsoever about the DAILY break-ins and complete lack of police presence). Breakfast was ok. Semi convenient location but not safe (vacant lots flank half the street). Coffee shop across the street was nice. Room wasn’t that clean. Needed a blanket for the pull out couch and had to wait 30 min, as no one was attending the front desk. Phone did not work. Need a key card to gain access to the lobby and to activate the elevator, even in DC that says a lot,

Erika Williams: Personally, this is not what I'm used to for a Hyatt and the 1st night I was very disappointed with the room to the point that I didn't want to be in it at all. However, the front desk staff was very accommodating and moved us to a different room for the remaining nights. The parking situation should definitely be fixed especially since the only true and safe option is to pay $53/night for valet unless you're ok with the possibility of your car being broken into. There were public parking lots available for a fee, but when we drove around those, there were cars already there with broken windows even being right next to the police department, so that should be changed. I also think that based on the location and the environment around this hotel, the price of the rooms should be decreased slightly especially with the limited parking availability. Another issue I ran into was that the room we booked for had breakfast included for an additional charge, but we found out when we got to the hotel that breakfast was included for everybody. However, I do want to mention that we booked through booking.com so I think that was more of a third party issue than the hotel's doing. I don't think I'll stay at this hotel again just because of where I prefer to stay, but I will also be sure to do a better job at using things like Google Earth to check the surroundings of a hotel before making a reservation there.

Melinda White: Stayed last weekend with friends. We booked two rooms and were given rooms 11 floors away from each other one of which was dirty and had no linens on the bed. We called the front desk to inform them and they stated they would have it cleaned while we were out for the day. Came back hours later to the room in the same unclean condition. We went to the front desk to resolve this as well as being double charged. They moved us to a new room and stated they would be discounting the rooms but instead they charged us an upgrade fee. So don't stay here if unless you are looking to be overcharged and stay in dirty rooms. Only good thing was the valet staff. Immanuel in particular was very friendly and helpful ensuring our cars were safe throughout the stay.

uthra pakkiriswamy: Towels were smelling full of smoke! That means they haven’t changed from previous stay or they haven’t washed properly. Whole room was filled with smoke. For 4 people, 1 shampoo and 1 soap was provided. Exhaust fan wasn’t working in toilet. Worst room service in my entire life! Kitchen, valet service was good.

Glover Park Hotel Georgetown: what do users think?

Arthur LIEGEOIS: We booked one night last weekend to see the cherry blossoms (that were early this year!). My wife called and spoke to Laura. We were told we would have a king size bed and a view over the city. When we arrived at the desk, we were told that we had a room on the second floor (not so much of a view!) and two queen size beds! The employee was almost rude with us and told us that that’s what we had booked. We didn’t complain much because it was for one night, but we felt like someone had lied to us. The room was clean, the view of the backyards of two houses was ok. The next morning we decided to have breakfast at the restaurant. My eggs Benedict were the worst I have ever had and when my wife complained about her Greek yogurt having a bad after taste, the manager claimed that it was a new container and wasn’t out of date, and pretended she didn’t understand my wife asking her if someone in the kitchen could taste the yogurt. My advice: avoid the restaurant by all means! The main advantage of this hotel is its location, off of Georgetown, and we’ll connected.

Padft12laws2liv: Stayed here 6 nights for business. Gave me an adjoining room. I could hear the adjoining room’s music every night like the speaker was in my room. The last night they decided to blaze it and filled my room with weed smoke. I called the front desk and they did nothing. Slept with the windows open because I had nowhere else to go. Kept finding feathers on my things. Figured out they were coming from the Swiss cheese they call a duvet which they placed between two sheets with no cover. The entire duvet was covered in pin holes with some massive ones scattered throughout. They also didn’t clean the room well as someone’s personal conditioner was left in the shower. You’re better off at another hotel.

Serge Sim: TL;dr the most terrible experience in continental US. The hotel and its management (Bryan Oliphant) don't care about your reservations. Imagine you arrived with your family after long 5 hours flight to the hotel expecting an exec room you booked (and paid for) 2 months in advance - to be told late in the night that there is no such room and you have to somehow get to a different hotel with your kids in the middle of the night. Well, that exactly the message we received from Bryan Oliphant on our arrival! So we had to go to a totally different hotel. And to remind you - I pre-paid $190 for the exec room, while this paper (see photo) clearly states $152 and the difference was never refunded. In my view, this a total fail of the hotel management and Bryant personally and I strongly suggest to never stay at "Glover Park" for your personal or business trips! P.S. 1 start for a location in Georgetown, and 1 for the ladies at the reception on April 11th (but the night shift and that reception guy on April 9 would lie in your face and should be fired).

Craig Cunningham: I had a little trouble with the cooling and heating system, and the bed made a banging noise when I turned over, and the mini fridge made a strange noise through the first night until I banged on it a few times, but it was otherwise great. (Hotels should provide more than one packet of powdered creamer per cup of coffee, like they do with sweetener.)

Deborah Bacote: I was very pleased with everything. The hotel manager was exceptional. I was stranded in the area from the snow storm there. I really was scared and lost. The manager helped me to find my car and get back to the Georgetown Hospital where my son was admitted. Thank you Tom. I appreciate you and your assistance.

Tracy Smith: I probably won't stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone. There are some pros though: location and restaurant. The cons are: poor customer service (when I arrived, the receptionist was busy watching her ipad or whatever she had on the reception desk, never made an eye contact or explained clearly the policy, etc. Her show was more important and interesting), charge for parking that wasn't clear that it was not included on the reservation. Overall staff there is not welcoming and/or polite. The only positive is the restaurant and the restrooms on the first floor/lobby very clean and welcoming. Price overall $300 per night..
Response: Thank you for the feedback. We pride ourselves on customer service and this type of behavior is unacceptable. We will look into this and thank you for brining this to our attention.

Tim Berry: Room was clean. Overall facility was dated, but ok. IF DRIVING IN and require parking - beware. Parking is in the lower level of hotel, with a VERY LOW CLEARANCE -only 6’2” height clearance. Your full size pick up or SUV could be too tall to clear. Additional parking near the hotel is limited to say the least.
Response: Thank you for the feedback and your business.

Carol Ann: We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and have been impressed with the friendly service during each visit. Our rooms are always very clean and their mattresses are amazingly comfortable! We know we will get a good night's sleep and have everything we need at this hotel.
Response: Hi Carol, Thank you for the kind words and it is always a pleasure to host. We hope to see you again soon!

Nadine Finucane: I’m a local and stayed here for a couple of nights recently. I just needed a place to crash while my place was under construction, and this hotel served its purpose. No frills, no greetings, no services.. it’s just a crash pad. I wish the sheets weren’t ripped and I wish the furniture wasn’t peeling. I also wish the parking lot didn’t reek of urine (it implies it’s not very secure if people are finding a way to treat it like a toilet). I also wish I had stayed a bit farther away where the parking would have been free, the room would have been spotless, and the employees said hello. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you really just need a basic place in this specific neighborhood.

Olivia Jones: A good hotel in Georgetown that is really convenient for all of your DC needs. The rooms are nice and thick, but nothing too special. The amenities are just OK as well compared to other hotels in the area. A great place to stay overnight if you don’t need to much fluff or frills. Parking in the area is tricky and the garage is pretty expensive at $35 a night. And beware that they will hold a $50 charge on your card for incidentals. The location really makes this hotel great, otherwise it’s not our favorite spot. But it’s for a pretty good price per night.

Kimpton George Hotel: what do users think?

Christina Williams: We had an amazing stay at The George. The room was spacious and super clean. The staff are all top notch. I have to give a special shout out to DAMARA K who provide the most knowledgeable, professional and personal service. The ability to text front desk with questions, concerns great feature, front desk responded super fast to all inquiries. Eating in DC can be a hit or miss experience, DAMARA provided amazing brunch, lunch and dinner recommendations throughout our stay. DAMARA deserves a raise and a promotion ASAP. Honorable mention to Benjamin, Hunter and the lovely gentlemen (can’t recall his name) who handled our luggage, everyone was GREAT. This is the only place we will stay on our trips to D.C.

Fine Corinthian Videos: None of the first key cards we got worked after the first time we used them(they only worked once) so we had to get new ones. We ended up waiting ten minutes in the hallway because we couldn’t get into our room. The bathroom doors need to be replaced with normal, lockable doors. The sliding one did not work smoothly, and the gap between the door and the wall was at least 2 or 3 inches, so from one of the beds you could easily see into the shower, which had completely clear glass, not to mention you could hear every single sound someone made in there. In short, the key cards need to work better and there needs to be a lot more privacy in the bathroom.

J.S. Goff: Mediocre at best. The 1 star is for the only decent staff member who works ungodly hours, a gentleman with a great demeanor despite the obvious poor operations of the establishment. Our room was left open by housekeeping and no logical reason was provided. Bar staff showed up to my room because they ran wrong tab, without me providing room number. Short story: unsafe and not secure. Incredibly upsetting as a guest who is only at this hotel because of it was provided for business travel. Stay anywhere else. Request anywhere else. Pitch a tent in front of union station because that’s the level of security, safety, and piece of mind they’re willing to provide. I hope the decent staff can find work elsewhere because obviously the management is horrible.

Edwin Fornwalt: The lobby looked amazing, going the the room, the halls looked worn and out dated. The rooms were really nice and spacious. The bed left a lot to be desired, it was an old spring mattress that squeaked when you sat in it. The mattress was very hard bit the pillows we really nice.

Peter Babida: Great location, just half a mile from the Mall. Staff was friendly and attentive. Our room was on the small side but we only used it for sleeping so it's ok. Daily complimentary wine service is a nice perk too!

Natalie: Expensive, bad location, not nice- do not stay here!! Amenity fee is ridiculous there is no breakfast, no pool- and absolutely no amenities, they scam you. Hotel was not 4 stars- this place is such a lie. Peeling wall paper, black stain on ceiling, chipped mirror frame. Stay anywhere but here for at least one of these reasons: Nicer, cheaper or better location

Natasha E: I had to stay for a week on business & I felt @ home. The staff's attentiveness & good spirits were AMAZING!!!!! I will be back soon.Special recognition to Benjamin, he is a absolute doll!! I found a new family member

Jeremy Hurst: Staff was great, hotel was clean, and location is good geographically speaking. However I would never go back because walking outside is a task do to homeless shelter around corner. Nearly got physical twice with crazy homeless people, at the footsteps of hotel. Should be $99-$150 a night.

Baneo Spriggs: Overall it was good. The only 3 downfalls. Resurant not open on Sundays. I book a king size bed and they gave me a queen, the ice machine in the hallway did not work. Small things Overall.

The Mansion on O & O Street Museum: what do users think?

Kurt Heuberger: We did the After Hours tour and had a truly unique experience! We spent 2 and a half hours exploring the mansion, and we felt we could have spent more time there (sadly they were closing for the night). I really felt like I could go back the next day and have a completely different experience. If you are in the DC area, I highly recommend the Mansion on O Street.

Jia Fan: Feels like a giant flee market, with no organization. Rooms and rooms of things piled together. Not worth the Money, especially considering there are so many museums here in DC that are world class and all free. The secret doors sounded cool, but not really…
Response: It seems you may have missed many of our wonderful artifacts and immersive exhibits including the Pop Culture room, Chucky's room, the Log Cabin, Miss USA's crown, Allyson Felix's Olympic running spike, NASA artifacts, rare photographs of The Beatles, Janis Joplin, and Johnny Cash to name a few, movie memorabilia, art, sculpture, and over 70 signed guitars. We are a volunteer-run, non-profit, sustained primarily by your donations. When you visit the O Museum in The Mansion you provide critical support for our museum arts and social justice programs. We hope you find solace in knowing that your visit helped to support the community.

Phillip Speer: I was looking for a truly unique place to take my wife for her birthday, and the Mansion on O Street definitely lived up to expectations. This is not a luxury hotel, but what it lacks in luxury, it more than makes up for in charm. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they worked hard to make sure our stay was enjoyable. There's a lot of interesting history behind the Mansion, and the ability to explore it at any hour of the day or night was really cool. We had originally booked a standard room, but when we got there, they gave us a choice of standard room or an entire suite across the street due to there being a special event at the Mansion that evening, so of course we took the free upgrade. My only complaint was that the bed wasn't as comfortable as it could have been, but we were only staying the night, so it was fine.

Lakshmi Mahalingam: I would call this more of a flea market maze than a museum. If you like searching for cool things to buy in an overwhelming mountain of junk and you are ok with very tight/cluttered spaces, this is for you. I was disappointed because it was advertised as a museum - which it has the potential to be if the items were curated and displayed in a pleasing way. The staff were absolutely lovely and we did end up buying a couple neat things (book, shot glasses, earrings). I was so excited to visit I even dragged my BF and my mom, but it was a waste of time and $. I would recommend the Hillwood Mansion & Gardens for a truly gorgeous experience.
Response: Unfortunately, it sounds like you missed seeing many of our gems like original artwork by Mersad Berber, Frederick Hart, Gerald Johnson, and others, one-of-a-kind artifacts like Bob Dylan’s guitar when he was inducted into the Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame in 1988, Miss USA's crown, a Grateful Dead Rock Hall Induction Trophy, Prince's Purple Rain Jacket, the flag that flew over Merrill Lynch during 9-11, an original letter written by John Lennon, or Mrs. Rosa Parks room (she stayed with us whenever she visited for 10 years). We understand we have a LOT of things to look at and maybe that is not your style — but perhaps it would help you to know the majority of what you see has been donated by our neighbors, friends, and members who open their hearts and give us things to sell in support of our museum arts and social justice programs. These programs support all those who are giving of themselves to serve others so it makes it especially joyful to see people find and connect with our eclectic exhibits.

Jeff Kuhn: This is a beautiful, quirky, hard to characterize, wonderful, artistic, art museum, event space, hotel. If you've been to the Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore, it has that same sort of vibe in a much more personal, hands-on way. It's 5 Georgetown row houses with some history consolidated into a single interconnected location. It's full of themed rooms and an uncountably huge number of curios and artwork. And hidden doors. The entire place is a piece of art that you're a part of while you're in it. Sign up for a visit and immerse yourself for a few hours. And they have a bar!
Response: Thank you for your kind words Jeff! Hope to see you again soon.

Will Stein: Had a wonderful time at this museum on Saturday, it was quite unique and engaging! I was served drinks from Tameka who was kind, patient and seemed to be effectively running the operation. I purchased a book from 1889 called Carrots and an old Victorian sofa, how fun!

K A: I visited the historic O museum last week but I wasn’t able to explore the mansion because I got there late. I’ll definitely revisit earlier another day to have ample time to explore the 100 rooms and shop. You can literally spend the whole day there. Make sure to check for the available hours and tours before heading there. I highly recommend to all locals and tourists. It’s a must see!!! Lovely Ambiance ✅ Good Service ✅ Very Friendly And Courteous Staff✅
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words!

Alita brown: I had such a great time hearing about the history of the Mansion on O. So many doors and rooms. Vintage overload. Love it! I will definitely be back. The owner and his family were so pleasant to us. I hope they were able to take one of sushi restaurant recommendations. Please go and support this local jewel
Response: Thank you for your kind words! So glad you enjoyed the experience. Hope to see you again soon.

Shay Santos: The food and service was great. Go when there is warmer weather. Nice pool area out back. The neat thing about the mansion are the hidden rooms. Don’t miss the one off the kitchen. There is so much stuff in the mansion.
Response: Great to hear you had fun, thanks for sharing!

jennifer venkat: I took my family there on a cold rainy day for something to do because we saw all the good reviews and thought we'd give it a chance. We weren't very impressed. My 10 year old son wanted to leave after about 10 minutes. In my opinion, it was just a bunch of junk and ugly decorating in cramped spaces. There were some secret doors that we saw others walk through so that kind of spoiled it for us. Apparently most of the secret doors are small and cubby-like. We didn't find any of those and so many things say to not touch it. The walls are filled with pictures but they tell you there are no secret doors behind the pictures. So I don't know where they are but we didn't feel inspired enough to seriously look for them either. My kid just wanted to leave and so we left and had more fun walking in the rain.
Response: We are sorry to hear that you weren't able to enjoy yourself when you visited — we know it can be disappointing when you don’t find as many doors as you had hoped (honestly finding 2 or 3 is GREAT! They are well hidden!) In addition to our secret doors we have many wonderful artifacts and immersive exhibits including the Pop Culture room, Chucky's room, the Log Cabin, Miss USA's crown, Allyson Felix's Olympic running spike, NASA artifacts, rare photographs of The Beatles, Janis Joplin, and Johnny Cash to name a few, movie memorabilia, art, sculpture, and over 70 signed guitars to see. It's so sad to hear you missed them - they are really fun!! We are a volunteer-run, non-profit, sustained primarily by donations. When you visit the O Museum in The Mansion you provide critical support for our arts and social justice programs. We hope you find solace in knowing that your visit helped to support the community.

Club Quarters Hotel White House, Washington DC: what do users think?

Derek Kruger: Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any room. This site will compare countless hotel sites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This place is the best rated in the area. I've been coming here for years. If you stay for a few days you for sure will love it I'm sure! Super friendly staff!! They upgraded me with my pet to a larger room on the top floor with a view of the park across the street. Technology was awesome - could connect phone to TV. Everything was super clean! They also have water on every floor for the guests! The only thing I can “complain” about is there is no parking available. However, there is a garage around the block for $40 overnight. Last, there is no extra fee for a pet. Just have to sign a waiver. Will definitely stay here again if I am ever back in DC!

Amanda Sykes: Super friendly staff!!

Emily palmer: We had a very nice experience here! The hotel is in a super convenient location for public transportation especially the silver, orange, and blue line. There were many bus stops within a couple blocks although we didn't take those as much. The hotel itself was very clean. You need your room keycard to use the elevators which made it feel safe. The staff were very kind and helped us out a lot. Our room was one with 2 twin beds, not the biggest but was very comfortable for the 2 of us. The complimentary free water bottle refills turned out to be very useful. We were here for spring break so it helped save us having to pay $10 for a bottled water at a museum or food truck. The only thing was it is on a fairly busy city street. It wasn't a big problem for us, but if you need quite maybe try getting a room on a higher up floor. We were on floor 5 and the noise was loud sometimes.

Tyler Stalletti: Staff was friendly but the hotel is of sub-par quality. Entering the room I actually thought it was great but then I noticed some things. The bathroom is small but it was gross as I smelled mildew. The tile flooring and walls in the shower were covered in mildew. Even the bottom of the show curtain had mildew. The bathroom had a drop ceiling which looked dirty and if the shower had mildew I’m sure the tile ceiling had it also. That’s not the worst part, I noticed when running the air conditioner I began to sneeze. I was out all day on Saturday walking dc with no problem. As soon as I went into my room and turned on the A/C I began sneezing. Left for dinner and kept sneezing which was horrible. After a few hours out I stopped sneezing. As soon as I came back to the hotel room which had the air running I started sneezing again. I can’t guarantee it was the air conditioner but their was definitely something in that room making me sneeze. The remote for TV also had white stuff all over it and was also gross. It was supposed to be all sanitized in a clear bag but obviously not. I honestly almost asked for my money back but the staff was so friendly that I didn’t want to.

Dominic Carpin: I love this place. It's pet friendly and there's no extra charge. The rooms are very clean and modern. There's a Butler Service where you can get reasonable food delivered to your room. On the second floor it has a cappuccino machine that dispenses espresso or americanos. Filtered water that is chilled is available in the hallway complete with plastic bottles. Nice view of Farragut Park from our window. Comfortable bed. Nice big flat screen TV. Bathroom, while small was well-appointed with modern countertops and fixtures. Shower, no bathtub. No mini fridge.

Samia Muhammad: This hotel 🏨 is best choice to be near from all activities near by such as White House. I highly recommend this hotel. The stuff especially Aline is amazing and helpful she changed my room next day to have a best view. The lounge in second floor has a fresh coffee ☕️. There is a water free.

Wei Hsu: We stayed here for two days, and I think I chose the best hotel in Washington DC! The location is great! Close to everywhere on foot. Including White House, monument and some museums! Also five mins away from subway station on foot! The service here is also great! The lobby is clean and make people feel comfortable. Next time when I travel to DC, I will choose this place again!

Alejandro Nuñez-Jimenez: Great value in an unbeatable location. Got a last minute deal and stayed in a Standard Queen Room for $180 pre-tax, which turned out to be a corner room on the 8th floor. No views, but amazing value. The room was spotless, reasonably large, and very nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. AC worked great. I appreciated the nice lighting, complimentary coffee, and bedside alarm clock with a loud speaker (which allowed me to listen to my own music). The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. Despite having to deal with multiple customers simultaneously, they managed to not have anyone waiting for long. Definitely one of the highlights. The other one is the hotel location. In DC, on this price range, you can't do any better. Literally less than 5 min walking to the White House. I will surely be back when visiting DC.

D Howe: Stayed here in May 2022. One of the best big city hotel experiences I’ve had. It’s not fancy and the rooms are basic but they’re spotless, the place is quiet, bathrooms are modern and clean, the staff is polite and helpful. Highly recommend this property. There is a Boulanger in across the street that serves up incredible breakfast items. Right next to a mtetro station.

Ganindu Madhawa: Stayed here for a week in Autumn 2017 and cost me around 260$/day just for the stay without meals. Obviously the rooms are comparatively smaller so was the bathrooms. . However it was perfectly equipped with needs for single person stay and I would say the stay was comfortable. The reception staff was so friendly The place is located in the heart of the busy suburbs and just few hundred yards from The White House, Renwick Gallery and a number of free museums. Rooms were clean.

InterContinental the Willard Washington D.C., an IHG Hotel: what do users think?

Kelly McCarthy: Beautiful hotel. Tradition and old Washington charm surround you. Next to the White House. Built in 1918 there are so many beautiful details. Don’t miss the Famous round robin bar. Check in with seamless and the customer service was exceptional. The rooms are spotless and much of the staff has been here for generations. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hampus Engstroem: Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. This website will compare thousands of booking web sites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the best in this area. I've been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you definitely won't be let down. We spent the night here before the Easter egg roll at the white house. It was exceptional. Easy to get in everything was right up front. You do pay for a premium but due to the location it was well worth it. The room was clean and nice. We had the high tea and that was quite the experience. If you go during the Cherry blossom festival we have the option of drinking tea with the Cherry blossom cuttings and that was quite the experience. I would highly recommend this. We only had pastries and coffee from the cafe and they were good. It is a five-star hotel.

J Kazlauskas: The water for the toilet ran all night. The hair dryer did not work. There is a label on the room's small refrigerator stating you cannot use it for personal use unless you notified the hotel to come up to the room, empty their contents & let you use it. The valet parking, luggage handling, front lobby & cleaning staffs were very nice, friendly & fast. The lobby & outside premises were very nicely decorated for the Christmas season. Various groups performed caroling & jazz over the days we were staying there.

Hugh Shoff: We spent the night here before the Easter egg roll at the white house. It was exceptional. Easy to get in everything was right up front. Catherine Petty: Tea was lovely!! Would recommend highly for any events you have coming up. The staff was great, very helpful and the food was delicious. Surprisingly filling for it being so small. They even offer gluten free options. The harpist was also a lovely touch - she played beautifully. Will be back, especially around Christmas time!

Jess S.: I stayed here for thanksgiving back in 2019 and had a bit of an issue with concierge… the issue has since been resolved and taken care of… and all in all the room service was good and the hotel smelled fine. The hotel is beautiful but in a vintage way but … Flash forward to Feb 2022, I walked into the hotel to use the facilities and even with my mask on I noticed the lobby and hallway to the had a strong musty odor like that distinct moisture damage odor not saying that the hotel has moisture damage…but it’s clearly old and smells as such…and is in need of a renovation While I will most likely will stay at the Intercontinental in DC again in the future it will definitely be at the newer location at the Wharf

S R Das: Disappointed to see that the service at this storied Washington DC hotel has fallen substantially. This was my first stay here since the pandemic started. At the middle of the day - a busy time - there was only 1 person at the front desk. She seemed unsure of what she was doing, calling repeatedly for advice. I was second in line and had to wait 20 minutes. The line, meanwhile, was growling. Even though people asked her to get help (a second person), she ignored that. I found out later she had overcharged me (100 dollars more on the credit card, she added the deposit.) Yesterday when I got in at 950 pm thanks to a delayed flight, the front desk said that the kitchen was open for 10 minutes and would take my order. In the restaurant, however, the waiter said no. All in all, a less than ideal experience. As the person behind me said, no longer a 5-star experience and doesn’t justify the steep price.

Holiday Inn Washington Capitol - Natl Mall, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?

Wei Y: My recent experience at the hotel in mid March was quite pleasant. The room was clean, decor was fairly up-to-date, beds were comfortable (subjectively), and the bathroom was fairly well maintained. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, this includes the cleaning crew (on the 8th floor) who would give you anything you asked for. The pandemic is not over yet, so I liked the idea of not having staff coming in every day. People complaint about the thin wall, water pressure and the train. I did experience all of the above. The thin wall didn’t bother me that much, it’s usually due to loud neighbors. For the water pressure, I just waited for the others to finish their use then take my turn, the place was packed at the time and everyone was taking shower at the same time. As for the train, the hotel unfortunately situated right next to the track so unless you are a heavy sleeper, the noises could bother some of the guests on the east side. We ended up switching to the other side and it was great! The food at the restaurant downstairs was also surprising. The taste and the price were comparable to the nearby places, if not cheaper. A Starbucks was also attached to the hotel but they do close somewhat early. As for the parking, we didn’t have a car, but once I parked at a hotel in downtown Chicago, it was over $100 a night. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will stay again for sure!
Response: Wei Y, thank you for staying with us and taking the time to share your experience and feedback with us. We hope to see you again.

tabitha buono: Rooms were decent sized. Our beds and pillows were AMAZING! The air conditioning was very hard to control. We froze the entire time. Also our bathroom had a light out, and only 3 drawers for 2 adults in a double bed room? Had to stay on top of housekeeping too. You have to call down every morning if you want fresh towels, etc. Even with calling, they still forgot. With all that said, I'd stay again. The bed and pillows were AMAZING!
Response: Tabitha, thank you for staying with us. We are sorry that you had a challenge with your AC unit. We are sharing your comments with our staff to help us improve. We hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.

Kelly Dias: Pros: Staff were friendly and pleasant. The bedding was clean. Shower head was high enough, temperature and pressure were good. Close proximity to the Capitol, National Mall, and museums. Cons: AC wasn't working on arrival, but maintenance was able to get it back on line. Insufficient towels and only conditioner in bathroom (no shampoo). Room was not served by housekeeping between first and second night, which meant no fresh towels. Bathroom toilet paper holder was partially detached from wall. AC unit had exposed wiring. Connecting door for the suite had a loose handle that meant that we couldn't fully close it without fear of being trapped. The front desk only answered calls half of the time (2 out of 4 attempts). The breakfast fare at the restaurant was very expensive and not the highest quality. Walls are paper-thin, so I got to listen to the couple in a nearby room argue at the top of their lungs well into the night. Unfortunately, there was a music festival in town, so they closed the on-site coffee shop. Streets were blocked for blocks in each direction, so no access for Uber or cabs. In order the get to local attractions, we had to walk 4-6 blocks out of the way to get around.
Response: Kelly, thank you for choosing our property. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear that you experienced a few challenges during your visit. We hope that you will give us another try in the future.

Joe Hughes: We were so excited to come to Washington D.C. for vacation. I have stayed at Holiday Inn's before and never experienced anything like we did here. Nothing seemed to work. The elevators were not working properly and one day not at all. We wanted to do some laundry and there was no change available and the soap dispenser was out of soap. I wasted a dollar since I didn't see the Out of Order sign that was placed on the side of the soap dispenser. The food downstairs in the café was horrible and it made my wife sick. The 21's amendment restaurant there was not much better. We wanted to buy soda and snacks and they wouldn't except cash. The rooms were cleaned every other day if that. The carpet was filthy and the desk chair was broke. On top of everything, Nobody knew anything when we ask for directions or where anything was. Apparently this Holiday Inn was just sold and in process of a new owner. That still doesn't make it right for this establishment to really put a damper on our vacation. We called security to stop all of the yelling and playing in the hall after 10 pm at night. Our floor was loaded with a group of kids and we finally had to go out there and tell the kids to quiet down. I would look at other options before coming here to stay, Murphy's Law applies here. "Anything that could go wrong will go wrong." I'm sorry that I have to post such a negative review but none the staff didn't make any effort to make our stay enjoyable.
Response: Joe, thank you for choosing to be our guest and taking the time to share your experience with us. We are sorry to hear that this visit was not as great as it could have been. We are using your feedback to improve our services. We are sorry that you left us on this note. We hope you will give us another try in the future.

M B: This was our first time staying at this hotel and it completely served its purpose. First the location - it is across the street from the department of Education and one block from the Air & Space Museum. There is a Starbucks on the corner of the hotel and several restaurants on the same block including a McDonalds. This hotel has a parking garage under it making parking very convenient. Parking fee is charged by the hotel per day and we had in and out privileges throughout our stay. There are two restaurants inside the hotel and a small convenience store next to the front desk. The lobby is more upscale than I thought it would be and staff was nice. We got into our room the first night later in the evening and our AC wasn’t working. We called the front desk and within minutes, a maintenance worker was at our door. He changed out the wall thermostat which didn’t resolve the issue and called for assistance to bring a new AC unit. They changed that out within minutes and discovered that there must be a wiring challenge that would take more time to resolve. They contacted the front desk, got us a new room and they walked it to make sure it was in perfect working condition before bringing us the new key cards. They offered to help us move but we were fine getting ourselves to the new room. This was the only challenge we experienced during our stay and these two maintenance technicians were absolutely wonderful. We forgot to get their names but they were on duty Friday, May 20, 2022 in the late evening. Nothing is a short walk in Washington DC as buildings are huge and the distance is deceiving. Every day we walked more than 7 miles and at the end of each day I walked back to the hotel to pick up the car to pick up my Mom to keep her from having to walk back. All throughout Washington DC, there are bicycles and electric scooters available to rent electronically on the spot to make the walking shorter and to get places quicker. We didn’t use them this time but they are a great benefit if needed. We did not eat in the hotel, but it is wonderful that the restaurants were there if we wanted to. This is a pretty perfect hotel to stay in when visiting Washington DC and we will most likely stay here on our next visit and recommend that you consider it as well. We didn’t take photos of the hotel, but it was very nice, clean, comfortable beds and we felt safe.
Response: M B, thank you for choosing to be our guest. We appreciate your feedback and are delighted to know that you had a great stay. We appreciate your feedback and will be sure to share your comments and feedback with the team. We hope to see you again, next time you are in the area.

Grand Hyatt Washington: what do users think?

Joshua Russell: The Grand Hyatt is a very large hotel near Chinatown, just a couple blocks from Capital One Arena. They have a covered car pull through if you are arriving by car which is nice in case of bad weather but can get a bit busy as it doesn’t seem anyone really is directing people. Once inside the check in desk is to the left rear of the very large lobby. The front desk staff is very nice and efficient. We were able to get checked in very quickly and able to get to our room with ease. The elevators are at the back of the lobby. There were about 6 elevators so you don’t have to wait long to catch one. The room is very spacious and very comfortable with a very nice sitting chair as well as a desk. We had a king bed and it was very comfortable, though one extra pillow would have been nice as there were three pillows so if there are two people both could have two. The bathroom is nice as well with good shower with perfect amount of water pressure. One thing you will notice is that in the hallways and lobby areas they are pumping a scent through the ventilation system. While I found it very nice others may be turned off by it. Overall it was a good hotel in a great location.

Melissa Marie: Great hotel location and close to major tourist areas and shopping. Room was a little dirty in places, but nothing major. The bathroom mirror still had water spots. Desk was dusty and chair had crumbs in it. The shower head was not adjustable and shoots straight out instead of downward. You may not get told at check in what the amenity fee includes. If you ask, they will give you a paper, so you will know what you are entitled to. There is a Starbucks and restaurant inside the hotel. Hotel serves breakfast for free if you are a high level Hyatt member or you can pay for it. The gift shop offers a variety of items, not just souvenirs. Self parking garage is also connected to hotel. It costs $45/day with no in and out privileges. Valet is $62/day, but does include unlimited in and out. The garage elevator goes straight up to hotel lobby. The Metro station is in basement area of hotel and easily accessible to get to and from hotel. Staff was super friendly.

R. Michael Burns: I really liked my room here -- modern yet cozy, with comfy beds and a cool view into the lovely atrium. Huge TV, cute little mini-fridge with a window so you're somewhat less likely to forget things in it. The bathroom was very spacious, not the claustrophobic closet you so often get, and the shower was easy to adjust, something else I've found is not always true. There was a little confusion checking in because of how my school was paying for the rooms, but the front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful and did a great job of resolving the issue. Every interaction I had with the front desk staff was friendly and efficient -- great hospitality. There are also enough elevators to serve the place effectively even when it's busy, which may seem like a small thing, but if you have ever stayed in a large hotel without enough elevators, you know what a huge inconvenience it can be. The hotel is also a very short walk from Chinatown, the convention center, various Smithsonian buildings, and the National Mall, as well as plenty of good restaurants. My only tiny complaints are that the elevators are all at one end of the atrium, and my room was at the exact opposite end, so it was a bit of a walk to my room or the elevators every time I went out. That, and there's a strangely small number of channels available on the hotel's cable service, but those are pretty minor things compared to all the good stuff. The hotel isn't cheap, but if you can afford it, it's worth it. I'd stay again without hesitation.

Nene W.: I spent Christmas night at Grand Hyatt Washington this year. It was my second time with them and I had a wonderful time! The staffs were really nice and helpful. If you like to drink and chill, don’t forget to check out their bar. The room was clean and comfortable. Plus, they also have the best breakfast which is available from 7-10am. I will definitely go back to this hotel more often. It was a great experience!

RITA LIN: We had a wonderful stay. The staff were so polite, nice, respectful, friendly and accommodating. The only concern we had was, wishing the vent in the bathroom would have been stronger. The mirrors would fog up easily during a hot shower even with the door open. Over all though , a very relaxing stay, we will return once we are back in town. Thank you!

Hampus Engstroem: Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This site will compare countless booking web sites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the highest rated in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you stay for a few days you definitely will love it I'm sure! Kim Nguyen: The Grand Hyatt is located near Chinatown and it’s extremely convenient for us to get around. We were able to walk everywhere during our stay. The online check-in process was easy and quick. I was able to request for early check-in and got our room by 12pm instead of 3pm. That was definitely a plus in my book. The hotel lobby was really massive and beautifully designed. During our stay, there was a medical conference. It was busier than usual and we had to wait some time for the elevator. Our room is across from the Sax restaurant and lounge, so it was really loud at night. There were a lot of honking, screaming, and car noise. Overall, it was a good stay for us. Oh, they also have a Starbucks right inside the hotel.

Casey Meyer: Beautiful modern interior hall with an awesome chandelier. Front desk was extremely nice, and the gentleman who helped us get our luggage in was beyond courteous. Rooms are typical- nothing special, not that that's a bad thing. Little decals on each of the walls in every room is a cool addition.

Doug Gwilliam: First time in DC for a weekend getaway found me booking 4 nights at the Grand Hyatt. The hotel lobby is stunning and mesmerizing to look at. The location is amazing even with a Metro stop right off the lobby! The National Mall is a 12 minute walk. Everything else is pretty average. This hotel has a "destination fee" which is just another way to get money out of customers, taking a page from Marriott Hotels. Among other things, the $20 DAILY fee, includes water and a Metro card. The Metro card is worth $3 and I had to ask for it at check in. The employee didn't know what it was and had to go ask. You pay the $20 fee DAILY, yet you only get one $3 Metro card per stay. We stayed 4 nights and would have expected 4 x $3 on the Metro card. Nope. As a Globalist, most everything else included with the fee is already included, which is probably why Globalists get the fee waived. Still, very silly to even have the fee. Oh, it also includes a Wine Magazine in your room! Who wouldn't want to pay $20 a day for that! If I didn't get the fee waived, I would have asked for it to be waived as it provides very little. We had access to the club lounge, which is where this hotel served the breakfast and evening snacks for Globalists as well. Having been used to having breakfast in the dining room usually, this would be our first club lounge to use for breakfast. The breakfast was a pretty good spread with yogurt, fruit, scrambled eggs (although very runny), bacon, toast and a few other items. Although pretty good, there was no variety - every morning was the same. No pancakes, waffles, no difference. Breakfast in the dining room definitely would have been better. The same happened for the evening snacks. Salad, meatballs, pasta, sliders - pretty substantial, but no variety day to day. If you're staying 1 night, the breakfast and evening snacks would be great. The Grand Hyatt offered no globalist recognition. At most of my other hotel stays, I got an email about a week before, asking me if there was anything I needed for my stay and welcoming me. Nothing. When I checked in, I saw in the app there was an upgraded room available, but when I asked at the front desk, I was told it wasn't available. The room was average, nothing special. What made this hotel work so well, is the location. So easy to catch the Metro - with an entrance right in the hotel lobby (only open weekdays though), otherwise, you just walk outside half a block. You can also walk to just about everywhere else, with the National Mall being a 12 minute walk. Overall, the stay was pretty average, but made for a good home base for everything we wanted to do.

Haresh Joshi: I must say that it was a pleasure being taken care of by Alyce. She is the best. Every time I was there, I couldn't help but wonder how she takes care of every single guest with that smile and enthusiasm. She went above and beyond in ensuring everyone got what they wanted. Personally for me, I wanted croissants and they were gone when I went. She made sure they were delivered to my room. I was just amazed :) Thanks once again to all your front desk and Alyce. They are your assets.

The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Hampus Engstroem: Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the highest rated in this area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure will love it I'm sure! Fantastic staff. Everything was top-notch, clean, and met our expectations. Our supposed room “upgrade” wasn’t really any upgrade, but nonetheless it was a good room. Breakfast was also great. About a five minute walk from the nearest Metro station which made it nice to get around. A longer walk, but we walked all the way down to the National Mall in about 40 minutes.

Mother Tucker: Location is good. Easy to locate. Front desk staff was rude and condescending during every interaction. Room was nice but nothing exciting. The doormen and the staff on our floor cleaning were all exceptionally pleasant. They are what earned the three stars. Also, if you want eye candy, stay at the same time as dignitaries so the place will be full of secret service. I felt very safe.

Logan Deyo: Fantastic staff.

Katze Love: I've stayed here twice, only for a day or two each time. The lobby is beautiful and it's a cool location. Ritz is a strong brand, but since Covid it seems to have lost a little value. The club lounge has been closed for some time and the rooms could use an update. There are plenty of high-end hotel options around DC so for the price you pay here, you could also explore the St Regis or Four Seasons. Still a nice destination and good central location.

David Berman: The Ritz Carlton in Washington DC is one of the best hotels I have ever been to! The people who work there are so nice and welcoming. It is a hard place to not love. I personally loved my room. My room came with 2 bathrooms, A enclosed bedroom, and a bar area along with a dinner area. It was the height of luxury. The restaurant there was called the Quadrant. They had some of the best service I have ever had at a hotel restaurant. The food came in huge portions and looked spectacular. Overall, I truly enjoyed my experience there and I know that if any of you guys go there you will too! David Berman Public Space Rating Co. 2021-2022 Chief Rating Officer

Tammy Trungadi: My first time at the Ritz Carlton! It was so beautiful and my stay was fabulous! Maggie, a member from the staff, was so kind to me. She personally brought me carafe of coffee to my room! I felt like a princess! Room was spacious, beautiful and everything you possibly could need for a restful and relaxing stay!

Candy Be: Stayed for 4 nights. Mo at the Concierge desk and John at the restaurant coordinated cocktails one night and dinner another night for our large group. Mirna with room service was so friendly. Overall a pleasant stay.

onthegoboomer: We had a great stay here! The staff throughout the hotel were excellent at all times. We booked a room in the club lounge floor for access to the lounge which serves 5 times per day. We were told that this hotel did not automatically grant access to the club level just because you have that status from being a Marriott member and do receive at other Marriott properties. Here you have to pay. I am not sure if we would have received a complimentary upgrade to the club level but will check that out the next time. The club lounge was amazing and the staff could not do enough to ensure our comfort and happiness at all times. Fatiah, Nayana, and Beri were AMAZING and made our times in the lounge so enjoyable. They have breakfast, lunch, snacks, evening hors d'oeuvres, and dessert. Complimentary alcoholic beverages in addition to water juice and coffee/tea. The room was comfortable and the bed was great. The shower/bathroom is dated and the shower is small and the power of the water was a little overwhelming but we had a great visit and would stay here again and again.

Tyler Harris: Rooms were nice as well as the hotel staff. The whole ambience of the building was extremely pleasant especially the christmas decor. The food was just amazing. I got the hanger steak which was hands done the best flavored steak I've hand in my life. The only thing I didn't like was the admission fee for going to the pool which is just absurd seeing as how expensive the hotel is already.

Capitol Hill Hotel: what do users think?

Briana Cooper: It was a very nice hotel and very clean. It was in a great area as well. We were able to walk to all the monuments and everything else we wanted to do. It wasn’t super busy and the staff is so nice and friendly. The breakfast is a few you have to pay on top of the hotel room fee and you can’t opt out of it. It’s $25 a day so that wasn’t as ideal because the breakfast was not worth that at all. The breakfast is also in the next building over so you have to leave the hotel to go to that building to get the breakfast. But other than that we loved staying here and will totally recommend.
Response: Thank you, Briana Cooper, for the stellar 5 out of 5 star review! I wanted to let you know that we only recently started doing our hot breakfast, and we will have a larger spread and more healthy options in the very near future. I am delighted to see that you will be staying with us again, and we look forward to seeing you then!

Emanon Jones: Great hotel, very clean. Friendly staff and complimentary snacks and water/juice was nice in the morning and happy hour is nice as well. Nice to offer breakfast too! Very close to everything and it was a nice walk from Union Station if you are catching the train or bus in/out of Washington. Spent three great days here. The hotel is located close to nice restaurant for lunch or dinner so you didn't have to travel to the Downtown area.
Response: Emanon, we are so happy to see you enjoyed your stay with us! Thank you for the kind words and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Greta H: I would love to give this hotel five stars based on the fantastic location, the incredibly friendly staff, the delicious breakfast and the awesome guy who attends to the breakfast, and the nice comfy rooms. But the management is incredibly stingy about housekeeping services. For our entire six day stay, we received housekeeping once, despite requesting it repeatedly. Family members were in another room for the same six days, and they didn’t receive housekeeping AT ALL for the entire stay, despite requesting it daily. There was one roll of toilet paper for three people to share for days on end. The kitchenette was minimally supplied with no brush or sponge for washing the dishes. And by the time we left, the trash can and recycle bin were overflowing. It made me feel like a slob to leave the room in such a state. I expected better for what we paid. I mean, a cheap motel by the side of the highway has better housekeeping services than that!

Chris Hall: Had a pleasant stay at the Capitol Hill Hotel. Rooms were clean, staff was very welcoming and accommodating-always engaging and welcoming you back from a day at the capital. The hotel offered a nice quaint library/sitting area and refreshments 24/7 (coffee/tea/hot chocolate/lemon and mint water). Room offered comfortable beds, a small fridge, sink, and microwave. Bathroom was a bit on the small side but served its purpose with hot water and solid water pressure. Note: hotel is really close to the Capitol Building, but might be a stretch to walk to the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial for some.
Response: Thank you, Chris Hall, for taking the time to review our hotel. Our team kindly thanks you for the 5 star review. It was a pleasure having you and we hope to see you soon!

Romell: Great staff. Andrew who works the front desk was more than helpful. The entire team was pleasant and fun to be around. They always spoke as you came and left and were all in great spirits. Cornelius who also worked the front desk was always pleasant as well. The rooms and hotel itself were clean. The continental breakfast even include a hot sandwich option. I can't say enough good things about this staff.
Response: Romell, you are the best! Thank you so much for the kind words. We really appreciate it. The staff here genuinely cares how every guest is doing, and they always find ways to improve everyone's experience. We are so joyful that you enjoyed your stay with us, and we look forward to seeing you again in the future!

Tazmine Weisgerber: I highly recommend staying at the Capitol Hill Hotel. Every single staff member I encountered was friendly and anytime I needed assistance they didn't hesitate to help me. I can't say enough nice things about the wonderful employees there. The prices are extremely reasonable too! The one thing I want to mention is there isn't a cleaning person who will come make your bed every day but to be honest, I prefer it that way.
Response: Tazmine, we are so grateful for the 5 out of 5 star rating, and we are so pleased to see you enjoyed your stay with us. Although you enjoyed the "privacy" due to housekeeping not servicing your room, now that Covid restrictions have been lifted, we are going to service every room on a daily basis moving forward. We have very nice "do not disturb" signs that you can place on the outside of your door and housekeeping will still give you the privacy you want! We hope to see you again in the near future!

Paris Cort: One of the best hotels I ever stayed in solely for the ambiance. The rooms are cute too and come with a mini fridge and microwave. It took me a minute to work the TV. But the staff!! Omg The staff is so nice and accommodating. I feel like this is the Maggianos of hotels. I love the music in the lobby, the mint water. Everything was amazing. Thank you it all!
Response: Paris Cort, we are delighted to see you enjoyed your stay with us! We are glad to see you enjoyed the spacious rooms, the mini fridge, the microwave, and all of the other amenities in the room. The staff here takes such pride in taking care of our guests, and I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to sing their praises! Please come back and see us again soon.

kn: We stayed here to go to the rave in RFC park. The location is good, close to the attractions, and super quiet at night. The staff here was really nice and helpful. A little bit pricy but still reasonable for the weekend. The decoration in the room seems historical but comfy. Check-out time wasn't that strict, which was wonderful.
Response: kn, we are delighted to see you enjoyed your stay with us. We are glad to see you enjoyed the location, that the room was quiet, the decorations in the room were comfortable, and that the staff here was nice and helpful. Come back and see us again soon!

Lori Hutch: The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The included breakfast was nicer than a typical hotel free breakfast. The staff were always very friendly. The location was near many restaurants as well as a short walk to a Metro station, making it accessible to the important places in DC.
Response: Thank you, Lori, for the kind words and the wonderful review!

Malolo Bed and Breakfast, LLC: what do users think?

s g: I enjoyed my stay here in Malolo Bed and Breakfast immensely. George and Dave go above and beyond to provide an exceptional b and b experience . The house is beautifully decorated and the room was Huge . The food was Delicious - and the hospitality and warmth is so special. I enjoyed so much the company and the joy of good conversation. They knew all the ins and outs of D.C and gave me good tips when I wanted to visit places - but my experience in the B and B was my favorite part! Highly recommend!

Greg Werner: A wonderful stay! The proprietors, Dave and George, are extraordinarily kind and welcoming. My flight got in late, arrived at the b&b just before midnight to a warm Aloha greeting! A peaceful property with a very satisfying array of breakfast items. The bed was comfy, the room spacious and quiet. Engaging conversation about what to do, see and how to get around. Information overload for this first time visitor to our nation's capitol. I highly recommend staying here, off the beaten path.

Michelle Mavrides: I cannot say enough good things about Malolo B&B! Jorge and David were wonderful hosts and we felt so welcomed into their B&B. The place is outside of the bustle of DC in a quiet neighborhood but is easy to get to from the city. Also parking is ample on the street (and free! You won’t find that downtown). We booked 2 rooms with them and we stayed on the 3rd floor of the house. The rooms were beautifully decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We loved the shower and the multi jets! You can tell Jorge and David put a lot of love and hard work into their place. It’s so cool that the house has a Hawaiian/island feel (very appreciated after spending time in the city). We were all amazed at the breakfast Jorge whipped up! That morning there were biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, cold cuts and cheese as well as fresh juice, coffee and Jorge made eggs to order. You would have to pay big bucks for a breakfast like this somewhere else so this adds a huge value to the stay! We loved chatting with the other guests staying there (2 other couples) and Jorge and David! At the end they gave us leis and we all took a picture in front of the house. Malolo is a special oasis in DC and we are so happy we found them!

Pauline K: My husband and I prefer to stay at B&B's over hotels. The Malolo Bed and Breakfast was hands down one of the best! From the initial warm welcome to the friendly farewell our stay here was wonderful. Dave and chef George go above and beyond. They provided us with metro cards to use during our stay (which you load at the terminal.) We were dropped off at the metro station and picked up in the evening at no extra cost. They also gave us some great tips for our first visit to DC to save time and avoid burnout. After a lot of walking around DC we came back to a clean room with a firm, comfortable king size bed, and plenty of hot water in the bathroom for a nice soak or shower after the days exercise.. Each morning we awoke to a delicious meal provided by chef George. There was always a hot cooked meal and plenty of fresh fruit, Greek yogurt with all the toppings, cold cuts and cheeses. They also provide cereal or your choice of toasts if that is more to your liking. And there was lots of interesting banter around the breakfast table. If you're looking for a great place to stay during your visit to DC look no further. I highly recommend staying at the Malolo Bed and Breakfast you wont regret it. Hubby and I will definitely be going back.

Sander Melgar: David and George who run this place are the ULTIMATE type of people. They provided my friend and I with the utmost respect and hospitability that you can ever imagine. The breakfast is top notch. Their conversation and personalities are superb. The tips and knowledge on the Nation's Capital is remarkable. Had an excellent time and honored to have stayed at this place. Definitely gonna revisit DC and stay here again!!

Ellie White: There is so much to say about Malolo Bed & Breakfast! Our host, Jorge Lopez, was totally fabulous. He made us feel like family from the moment he greeted on the porch, to our final photos with him and of course a farewell hug as we said goodbye. Malolo rooms are very large and spotless. All toiletries are provided as is a great hairdryer! Jorge also has hair straighteners, should you require them, but the heat made this a futile task! Breakfast everyday was tasty and plentiful, as Jorge is a fantastic chef, you will not go hungry. Jorge also chauffeurs every guest down to and collects from the metro station. There really was nothing more we could ask for. The local knowledge we received from Jorge made our trip to Washington so much more enjoyable and organised. We would not go anywhere else to stay in Washington. There should be a Jorge in every city!

Liz P: This is by far the best place I have stayed. I felt at home and the owners were so helpful in making sure my husband and I had a fantastic time exploring Washington DC. Our room was spacious, clean and the spa shower was a pleasant surprise. They even left is a snack of mini macaroons and chocolate covered strawberries when they found out it was our wedding anniversery! We will make sure and not only stay here again when we are in the area but sing their praises to all our friends!

Adam Dean: This bed and breakfast was amazing. Honestly this made DC my favorite trip of my life. The owners were knowledgeable and so accommodating. They helped us plan our trip around dc to maximise our time there. Also they helped a great deal with travel. The food was great the room was great! I would recommend anyone going to dc to stay here. Well worth the great price. More states need people like the owners here

James “Big Lo” Lopez: Wow. What can I say? The Malolo was perhaps the best lodging experience I've had in my life. The only drawback is that I wasn't staying longer. Dave and George were incredibly kind and helpful. Upon my arrival I was greeted with a lei and given a tour of the property. My room was large and the bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to get up for work. The bathroom was incredible with one of those newer showers that sprays from every angle. The stairs had sensor lights that lit up with every step you take. I mean, the technology thruoghout was on point. Breakfast was an impeccable spread including eggs, meats, cheeses, fruits and everything else under the sun. It feels great to now be part of the Malolo family and I cannot wait to get back. Honestly, I wish I could rate more that 5 stars...

Lani Conner: This is our first time in a B&B. Our host David and Chef George are amazing people!!! We were welcomed with open arm's from the moment we arrived. Our room was nicer than our bedroom at home.Lol. Rooms have built in plug's with USB attached together in wall easy to charge your device. Water bottles and sweet chocolate in our room greet us. Lol. Very nice. Bed so comfortable. Netflix already set up for you. It's a really nice home clean to the whistle comfortable and well equipped!! Keyless entry you don't need a key just your code to enter in and out. High technology security cameras around private property! The house is beautiful inside and! It vastly exceeded ur expectations and made us wish we were staying longer. David and chef George has compliled a wealth of information on thing's to do set surrounding areas . Breakfast,... so tasty and delicious!! Words cannot describe variety of choices to choose from. Breakfast buffet is one best we ever enjoyed. Thank you,..Chef George Highly recommended and will stay again.

Duo Housing: what do users think?

Aidan Garrity: The location and staff are excellent. The included breakfast is nice, even if it's just pancakes. Rooftop patio area great for relaxing and chatting. The hostel has a good social atmosphere. Parking is a bit pricey since it's downtown, but most people visiting this hostel are from overseas so it doesn't matter as much. Would stay here again when visiting DC.

Nicholas Daniel: Great stay for my first time at a hostel. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and willing to give recommendations for food in the area. The free pancakes every morning were great. All the facilities were kept clean. The hostel is well located near many attractions. The only real complaint was that the wifi was slow but with 20+ people there that is to be expected.

Aymeric SIREROL: Duo housing is very central and ideally located. I had a great night there. AZ, the owner, is amazing and does mean pancakes. Very highly recommend, that was one of the best hostel experience I had. Little tip: go to the Mexican restaurant right next to it, it's very good!

Dawn Horton: Thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Great for budget travel. Free breakfast of pancakes and lemonade, kitchen stocked with cooking essentials and 3 fridges to store your food. Great seating areas to socialize with travelers from around the globe including a rooftop patio. Centrally located with nightly outings to various nightlife spots in walking distance

Allison Kisch: After spending 5 days in a big hostel in New York with zero social interaction, I had the most amazing time here and I highly recommend it! the owner made us amazing pancakes and recommended this nice bar. They had us get together and we all went out as a group which was refreshing as that was really what was missing in New York!

Sharron Murray: Very nice hostel, good security, clean, great staff. Comfortable bed, plenty of bathrooms. Somewhere nice to relax. No facilities for laundry. Some of the furnishings were worn and could do with replacing. Recommended

Noah Shoaf: Definitely a mixed review. The staff was great and friendly, but not my favorite experience in a hostel. It seemed like there were a lot of people crammed into a small house with limited space. If your goal is to mingle and met people, this might be your place. However, if you want to have some space, unwind, and sleep is not the best place. For example, it was hard to find a place in the house to get work done, or to even charge your phone. Wifi was spotty. My room only had a few outlets and no extension cords. So, it just depends on your goals for your trip. Duo just didn't really fit my foals.

Tessa Stockdale: It’s the cheapest place in D.C but you get what you pay for… the owner is friendly but kept on pressuring us and guests to go out partying with him. We absolutely love to party but weren’t up to it after a big weekend, instead of being cool about it he made us feel lame and I heard him do the same to other guests. The rooms are average and air conditioning is super loud, you’ll need earplugs. The whole place has a weird smell and everything needs maintenance. There’s one tiny kitchen for over 40 people? Don’t bother, worst hostel we’ve stayed in.

Amanda O: I’m shocked by all the good reviews. The rooms are small and so warm it’s uncomfortable, the whole place has a weird smell, specially the lobby with all the shoes. The showers need maintenance, the view upstairs it’s also not really nice… It was very disappointing, I feel nauseous just thinking about it now.

Joseph Mathias: I miss HI Washington DC :( (used to be just a few blocks south of this hostel). As soon as you walk in, the nauseating smell of disgusting shoes fill the air, it smells absolutely rancid! You smell a hint of Febreeze, but it’s not enough to cover up the smell of the shoes. Once you’re inside, the rooms are super warm and cramped, and it smells in the room as well. The towel they give you also has a funny smell (I would encourage you to bring your own). WiFi barely worked. Breakfast food was lemonade and pancakes (weird), and the pancakes were really dry, but hey, they’re free. They need to add more showers and bathrooms, and definitely need to update/modernize them. Half the showers have faulty shower heads, and the know falls off on some of them. Staff also tended to be extremely picky about who the rules applied to. I saw quite a few people walking around the house with shoes, and staff said nothing. There was a gentleman who reeked of weed, and staff didn’t say anything. In conclusion, you get what you’re paying for. Would I stay here again? Definitely not. I hope they take these critiques, along with others, and apply them.

Capitol Hill B&B by FOUND: what do users think?

Vanessa Pineda: Location is great, price isn't bad, room was clean, building felt safe - good for a short stay. The B&B was pretty empty when we stayed so sharing the bathroom was not an issue. The check-in process was not the smoothest - I was told I would receive an email with instructions on how to get into the building and find my room; however that email never arrived and when I called I was given two codes over the phone. Since I could not write them down, I asked for an email and was told to just call back. The first code was off by a digit, we guessed right and were able to get into the building. The second code made us think the door to the room had a code, but it does not. We realized later there were lockers and that's what the code was for - so we could get the key to our room. I booked the room for two people and was only given one towel. Lastly, it was 30F outside and must have been 90F in the room. I woke up sweating and dehydrated. Even with the window open, it was still uncomfortably warm in the room.

Megan Taepke: Amazing location for the price!! It's a charming, old house that is beautifully kept up to date, something that is hard to find in the US. Do the floors creak and doors squeak at times? Yes, of course. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs and a sleeping mask, as there are other guests in close quarters (and they may leave their alarm ringing in the early hours). I personally had no problems at all. The rooms are perfect for sleeping, the main level has a large living area with lots of seating and a TV, breakfast was satisfactory (toast, oatmeal, fruit and coffee), and Dominique was so kind and accomodating.

Sonya Durney: For the price, very inexpensive compared to other things in this area, this place was phenomenal. I was worried re: the shared bathroom, having a bunch of early morning meetings that it would not be convenient to get ready. It all worked out great. My room was tiny but I expected this as it was advertised as such. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nothing fancy - cereal, toast and coffee - but this was no surprise as it was advertised as such. It was all I needed to start the day. There is a convenience store a block away where they sell fresh fruit, snacks, wine etc. - so you can grab anything you need. The neighborhood is gorgeous. It was a quick walk to Capitol Hill. I felt safe walking home alone from dinner in the evening. Keisha was EXTREMELY warm, welcoming and helpful. I would stay here again.

James Lockard: One description of the B&B mentioned "unfussy" rooms. Spartan might be a better term, but perfectly serviceable. Rooms are on the second and third floors with no elevator - hadn't thought about that. The stairs are like an Amsterdam canal house - quite narrow, somewhat steep, very creaky. The beds were like bunks, but not stacked, raised high enough to allow a two-drawer unit to fit underneath - the only storage provided. No closet, just a few pegs on the wall with hangers. The room was large, but with lots of empty space. No comfy furniture in the room, but the main floor living room was very nice. Breakfast is very basic, but as described. Coffee was make-your-own with a Keurig, which was a fine idea - no coffer maker in the room. The place could be better maintained, but the location is great and the price is reasonable for the area. As long as you understand the details, and this style of accommodations suits you, you'll be well-served. Access is by key-code, provided a day or so before arrival. Everything went smoothly.

Kristel Maguy Sio: Save yourself some trouble and do not book this place. No one is there at this location when you arrive so, if you have a problem, you have to call the number on the door. I did that because the front door was closed when I came. No one gave me the code to enter, so I stayed outside for about 20 minutes trying the code the general manager gave me over the phone. Turned out it was the wrong code the entire time. Sadly, they had no back up plan for situations like these and if they had not found the right code, I could've stayed out for hours because no one was available. The general manager told me I could cancel if I wanted to, which was sad because there's a reason why we plan a trip in advance and book a place to stay in advance. Having to think about finding a new place to stay and paying additional money to commute there added to my stress. Especially knowing that it wasn't my fault that they weren't ready but there I was hungry, without a place to stay, tired, and I having to get ready for an exam. I wish it just stopped there but it didn't. When they finally gave me the right code, I got in but it wasn't clear which room was mine because they had two rooms with the same number and I didn't know which one was mine (one downstairs and one upstairs, which I did not know about). I tried the key on the one room downstairs and it didn't open. I spent time trying that one door and got more frustrated that it wasn't opening. I called back the general manager from the sister company and he told me I needed to talk to another manager. I called her number and no one picked up. I finally thought about going upstairs just in case my room would be there. I got up but I FOUND the worst room I could imagine. First of all, it was open, and the bed was messed up, there was a towel on the floor, it was just a mess! Clearly, someone was using that room. It was too much for me I just left and cancelled. They were supposed to charge me AFTER I stayed, but they had already charged me that day. I had to fight for the refund and again I could only reach Keisha, the manager, over the phone one time and that was it! For a week, I called, there was no response. I do not recommend this place at all. I'm not the type to leave bad reviews but I had such an incredibly negative experience that I cannot let anyone else make the mistake to go to this place. Found Places is not a place to be found, although their prices may be appealing. Please, just save your money and invest in a room that would be a bit more expensive but you'll be more satisfied. Your safety has no price. If you're a Found Place Bed and breakfast representative, please consider improving your mode of operation. Stay safe. Note: due to covid19, there is no breakfast served. Be mindful of changes that may occur due to the pandemic. Things may not be as advertised.

Debra B.: I'm giving it a 4 star review instead of 3. It is a nice place to stay. It's inexpensive and that's what's you're paying for. If you don't mind old and drafty in the winter months or walking up stairs or having your own bathroom, you'll do just fine here. At first we were like... umm..?? But the experience here got better. (We stayed 3 nights) We thought we were getting an upstairs room but got the basement. That was disappointing. It was ok. But during the time the host is there the dryer makes a horrible loud noise. Our first breakfast (just after it started) there was no milk or juice & 4 pieces of bread left. We were like..OK.. but 1/2 an hour later or so everything was stocked and we were happy. Even though it was drafty the blankets kept me warm. Over all we had a nice stay. It's close to union station and the Capitol. We walked everywhere.

Rebecca Petrovic: All in all, a really nice place... Great for the price!! So, if you want reasonably priced in DOWNTOWN DC... THIS is the place!! Clean, though shared, bathrooms. My room was a single, top floor, also nice and clean... VERY SMALL, but fine because I only needed to sleep and keep my stuff some place. And you can use the kitchen! Which was helpful for me, as I could not eat the very CARB-BASED breakfast items they had included in the price of the room (I did ask if they'd have any low-carb options for breakfast, but they said, "No." Be forewarned, it is an old building...Four levels... no ELEVATOR! All rooms are up or down from main floor! If you have concerns about doing stairs, ask...(Even the entryway is up, like 10 steps) If you absolutely CANNOT do stairs, try another property! Also, in the summer there are WATERBUGS... They look like HUGE ROACHES! I only saw 2 and killed both.

Carline Charmelus: This is a lovely place to stay. It is located in a nice and quiet residential area. Staff are super friendly. Room was a little small, but clean. The breakfast provided is continental (toast, cereal, coffee & juice). I will definitely go back.

Peter van Meijgaard: Great service so far! The owners are nice people. The B&B is located close to the mall of Washington. It's a ten minute walk. The rooms are also good. Basic bunk beds and bathroom, but tidy and clean. The only thing that could be approved is the breakfast. It's a bit too basic for me. I would like to have more choice what I want to eat in the morning.

Colin Novick: Great location, good price, good folks. The accommodations are simple, clean, and quirky in old house ways (hardwood floors squeak, and shared claw foot tb/shower at end of hall.) I like it and have gone back, but it may not be everyone's cup of tea. If you need a "modern" metropolitan hotel, then do that. If you need a solid place to stay on the less expensive side, this is a great option.

Holiday Inn Washington-Central/White House, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?

K -: Convenient location and friendly staff. However, our rooms were given away when we arrived. Then, we were given room keys for an already occupied room (apologies to the people we woke up). The room we finally got into was musty and had several power outlets nonfunctional. I expect better for over $200 per night. Ironing board and two luggage stands were handy. Bath&Body Works amenities were nice. I appreciate that room service only comes upon request.
Response: Dear K, Thank you for offering feedback about your recent experience at our hotel. We're glad you enjoyed our convenient location and friendly service. Our team apologizes that there was confusion with your original accommodations, and we appreciate your comments are we continually work to improve our facility. Given another opportunity, we hope we can host you for the stay you expected.

Lisha Fairbairn: Could tell it was recently renovated and that some things had been rushed. Beds were clean and rooms were fairly clean as well. Staff were all very friendly and helpful! The pool area on the roof was beautiful, got some amazing sunset pictures from up there! My only complaint was that the parking garage was very poorly laid out. It had super tight corners, a single lane, and very narrow parking spots. We drove a minivan and almost got stuck in the ramp because we couldn’t make a turn. When we did park, the parking spot was the exact size of the vehicle leaving almost no room to open doors. Very nerve wracking. $47/night seemed like a lot for such a terrible ramp. Besides the ramp, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again (just maybe with a different car or no car at all 😂)
Response: Dear Lisha, We agree; our rooftop pool is fabulous, and we are so glad you had the opportunity to enjoy it as well as all the other wonderful amenities we offer. We are honored to have been your hotel of choice and look forward to having you stay with us again at Holiday Inn Washington DC - Central / White House.

Shivaprasad K: Very convenient location for tourists, close to the tourist attraction as well as the market place. Check-in experience was good. No in-house restaurant, coffee / tea in the lobby and room takes care of basic coffee/tea needs. The front desk provided us with a list of restaurants nearby. Many good restaurants, 2 blocks away make up for the absence of a restaurant in the hotel. Rooms are well furnished. A roof top pool is good for relaxing.
Response: Dear Shivaprasad, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your comments with us! It is wonderful to know that you appreciated our convenient location, easy check-in process, and helpful room amenities. We love to provide suggestions on great local places to eat. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we hope to see you again in the future!

Jim Packer: Room was average. Beds where small. Bathroom was not average. Had mini fridge and safe. Hotel looked nicer on outside then it was inside. Rooftop pool was not amazing, just felt like a poorly invested backyard pool. Parking structure was extremely tight quarters. 3-6 point turns required in most spots. Surrounding area had multiple incidents of violence and at least one homeless man digging through trash outside. Location was excellent for walking to tourist spots but a mile+ after walking the mall all day isnt for everyone. Staff was amazing though. Nice polite and helpful. Wouldn't stay here again but not unhappy I did. More disappointed I didn't find better.
Response: Dear Jim, Thank you for choosing to stay with us as well as for your insightful feedback. We appreciate you highlighting our wonderful staff. We also value the constructive notes you shared, and we will pass them along. Our team is working on consistent updates and improvements throughout our property, and we hope to have a chance to change your perceptions in the future.

Tiffany Brandell: The location was great! It's a short 1/2 mile walk from the Metro's McPherson Park stop, which makes it handy getting to and from multiple locations. There is also a Whole Foods right around the corner. The service was great, and everybody was incredibly friendly. Our only complaint really was that despite this being a non-smoking hotel, our room wreaked of cigarette smoke.
Response: Dear Tiffany, Thank you for your wonderful review as well as your recent stay with us at Holiday Inn Washington DC - Central / White House. We are thrilled that our fantastic location was perfect for your needs and that you appreciated our attentive service. That being said, we will be sure to look into your odor concerns, and we hope that you will come back to see us for an even better stay soon!

Jennifer Diaz: I was in town for business and part of my trip was to scout for a hotel that could accommodate lodgings for 200+ employees. Needless to say. This is not that! 1. First and foremost, although signs are posted for guest to wear mask in public area, NO ONE had a mask on. Even staff didn't have mask on. 2. Toilet in my room had to be repaired 3 times. First for not flushing. Then for not enough pressure. Then because tank would not fill with water. 3. Of a 4 day stay, I recieved room cleaning once. Even though I requested it on 3 different occasions. 4. Only one vending machine worked and the drinks where HOT. Also only ice machines on floors 2, 3. And 9 worked. 5. Doors of the building were locked on Friday night. Key card did not work for entry so everything you went out to smoke you had to wait to be buzzed in. 6. Ran out of towels by day 2. Requested more and was told no maid staff on site (even though I requested towels at 9 am before I left for the day). 7. Due to construction within the building, there were two mice in my room! My neighbor was nice enough to get them out of my room amd into the hallway. 8. Mini fridge did not work * With all that being said, staff was kind and courteous; even tho most seemed poorly trained. Staff shortage was obvious. The room rate was very high and therefore the issues faced should not have been present. Staff accounted the issues to "hotel recently just reopening after a prolonged time". This was obviously false seeing as how recent reviews are being posted from Jan 22- present time. It apparently served as a shelter. ***
Response: Dear Jennifer, Thank you for offering feedback about your recent experience at our hotel. While we're glad you enjoyed our courteous staff, we are sorry you were disappointed with several aspects of our accommodations. We did have a previous contract with the city and, as a result, used the month of May to thoroughly clean the rooms, replace any damaged items, install new beds, TVs, linens, and pillows, and update our lobby and artwork. Please consider allowing us to host you again for the stay you expected.

Chiana Hutchinson: This was a great location for us, we paid $50 to park our car overnight felt that should have been free. It was expensive but considering where it was located I suppose that explains it. They were doing renovations but it had no impact on us.
Response: Dear Chiana, Thank you for your recent stay at Holiday Inn Washington DC - Central / White House as well as your wonderful review. We are happy you enjoyed our prime location and hope you come back to visit once our renovations are completed.

Scott Cook: My experience is probably a one off. There was a pride parade that made it difficult to reach the hotel without police escort. However, the room was very loud. My wife, daughter and I had horrible sleep because we heard everything from the people outside to other rooms. Suggest if you know there is some sort of event that weekend, you out out a notice to people with reservations.
Response: Dear Scott, It was a pleasure to welcome you and your family during your recent visit. We're sorry to hear of any external noise disturbance you encountered during the recent parade in the area. We did include information regarding street closures for this parade on our website and on pre-stay emails as soon as the city made the information available to us. We note that your reservation was made via a third party booking agency which did not pass along an email address for you. Thank you for taking the time to share your valuable comments and we hope to have the opportunity to host you on another occasion.

David Hicks: It was a nice clean hotel , great location for visiting Washington. The only downside was no bar or restaurant on site and several of the drink machines and ice machines did not work on several floors.
Response: Dear David, We are ecstatic to see that our clean accommodations and stellar location were some highlights of your visit. With so much to do in the area, we hope you had a blast checking it all out. Our team will certainly look into your comments about our vending machines to ensure they are operating properly. Nevertheless, we would love to welcome you back to Holiday Inn Washington DC - Central / White House soon.

Erik Kursetgjerde: Smelling of smoke, not clean rooms - and blaming renovations. Renovation were half done, and the bathroom is also in need of renovation. For this price one should expect more.
Response: Dear Erik, Thank you for choosing to stay with us. It is disappointing to see that your room did not meet your expectations and we apologize. Please know we are always looking for ways to improve our guest experience and we will be discussing your concerns with our team so we can work to address these issues. We thank you for your feedback and wish you pleasant future travels.

Residence Inn by Marriott Washington, DC/Capitol: what do users think?

Derek Kruger: Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. They compare hundreds of booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area. I've been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't regret it. I had a fantastic stay at the Residence Inn in DC/Capitol. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and amenities in the rooms. The ladies at the front desk were very kind and extremely helpful. They explained everything amazingly and made our stay very enjoyable! The hotel was within walking distance from the main attractions. I highly recommend this location and will return to this location in the future.

My Desk C.O.: A good place to stay at for a while. The rooms are perfect; everything from a pull out couch to a stove, very high speed internet, great views, and more. The employees were very nice also. There is free breakfast, but there are not a ton of options. It was good though. The location in Washington I personally wasn't a fan of. A pro could be that it was very close to the subway, but a con would be that just walking to blocks the wrong way and you can be in a shady area. Overall, this Residence Inn was a great experience.

Elizabeth Long: Very nice hotel, excellent location and amazing value. Check in was a breeze and staff was super friendly. Breakfast is great even during Covid times, they still have a full hot breakfast. Parking can be tricky but we found a couple of spots upon our late night return.

Alex Aquino: Good room size, location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had 3 requests during 3 night stay and all promptly handled. Dropping a star for a few issues like sandwich breakfasts for 2 of 3 mornings, no ready coffee in the lobby, no reserved parking spot even if we're paying for parking.

Paul Booth: I will say at the outset that the manager promised to comp us a night (out of our two-night stay) due to the problems we had and she followed through on that promise. There were hot water problems in the bathroom. We had no hot water in the shower/bathtub and the sink hot water was barely a trickle. Someone did quickly come to take a look. It turned out that the ring that indicates hot/cold on the bathtub was installed backwards. Later that evening, though, we felt something snap in the faucet and it no longer worked smoothly. The gentleman who came theorized that the hot water line in the sink was clogged. He said he'd leave a note to have that replaced the next day, but that didn't happen. The air conditioning did not work. We had it set to the lowest temperature, but it got nowhere close. The alarm clock was a piece of junk. The button to set minutes was broken as were the USB charging ports. Back to the bathroom, part of the baseboard was coming off. There were stains on the walls. Part of the ceiling had blistered paint. Breakfast was advertised as ending at 9:30. I would expect that if I dilly-dallied and rolled down there at 9:20, I could get breakfast and not rely on the kindness of my family to give me their cast-asides. I did better the second morning. The breakfast staff did not. They were rolling things up at five after 9. Fortunately I hustled through and was able to get something. My nine-year-old daughter said, "This is the worst hotel in my whole life!" This was certainly close to the worst hotel experience I have had within the U.S.

Jenny Teng: Conveniently located that we could walk to our points of interests in DC. Great value for our stay of 3 nights. Room was clean and spacious. Due to a tall building across the street, our room was a bit dim even with all lights on. Nice staff and good service. Breakfast was good.

James Stewart Jr: Landed in this hotel as part of a larger group reservation, and only because somebody else canceled. I hit the jackpot! Prior to arrival spoke with Louise (I believe), manager who assisted me with an issue with reservation. Could not have been any more helpful ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Checked in on 5/14, clerk Jackie I believe, just PERFECT, polite, helpful, parking tips, just a great asset to Residence Inn ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Room-Top-Notch! Full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, plates, utensils, big screen TV, strong water pressure in the shower, zero complaints⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great, free, hot, buffet style breakfast too! 12 minute walk to US Capitol building. Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Serelle Taylor: Check in was smooth, easy and staff was friendly. Our room was clean. Thos hotel is so close to everything. I would 100% stay here again with family and kids. Easy access to National monuments, transportation and restraunts. My son enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was good. I was hesitant from reading previous reviews, but I can assure you our stay was great!
