Grillfish: what do users think?

T Johnson: The customer service here was really good. That is so important for me. My friend and I were visiting DC from Florida and went here as a part of our girls trip worth our daughters. Parking is free on Sunday so that was a plus. Our waitress was nice and friendly and did a great job with answering our questions and making recommendations. My MaiTai was awesome and THE FOOD WAS SO FRESH AND cooked perfectly. I would love to go back again to try something else.
Response: Thank you for taking to share about your dining experience. It means a lot to the staff to know that their efforts are recognized by wonderful people like you.

Zerah Kawami: Amazing fish restaurant with many options on the menu and lovely restaurant decor. The menu is smaller but well crafted and the wines and cocktails were superb. The grilled fish was absolutely delicious and our party got the mahi mahi and salmon plates. We also got the crab cakes which were a delicious comfort food. We finished with a mango key lime pie that we ate a bit too fast before I could get a picture as it was that delicious.
Response: Thank you for sharing about your wonderful dining experience. We look forward to see again soon.

Kara Lee: The customer service here was really good. That is so important for me. My sister and I were visiting from North Carolina and wanted a nice place to eat on Sunday before we left. Parking is free on Sunday so that was a plus. Our waitress was nice and friendly and did a great job with answering our questions. My sister said her Margarita was PERFECTLY made. My mimosa was good also. THE FOOD WAS SO FRESH AND cooked perfectly. I added freshly shredded parmesan cheese to the seafood pasta per recommendation of my waitress and it was exactly what it needed. I am so glad she mentioned it. My sister was given a sauce to pair with her steak and she said it was the best she'd ever had. I think it was made in house. The bathroom was clean and overall this was a really good experience. I would love to go back again to try something else, the MENU has a lot to offer.

No Thanks: Portions were good. Presentation of my dish was good. The taste not so much. The fries were too salty, the sautéed spinach had more salt than it should, and I think our waitress did not know the menu much. Fair experience, but I will not return. Thanks. Went on 12/28/2021 4-5pm

M J: Really enjoyed the food. Buffalo shrimp did not disappoint. Risotto balls I will it was something else with them but if you like friend cheese and the tomato sauce does it for you then it was perfect. Wish the soft crab was a little bigger. Friends and I enjoyed will definitely go back for another brunch date.

Alvaro H. Torres: Great service but overpriced. You are getting a good service and freshly made to order food. The grilled fish was amazing and the grilled octopus.

Connor Sargent: Food was amazing, fresh, and service was great. Very good seasoning on our dishes, presentation made the meals even more enjoyable to eat. And $1 local oysters were delicious. Definitely coming back here every time we visit DC.

Simon T Katan: Very good fish choise. I had swardfish and it was delicious. Service wss good. Recommended in DC area for grilled fish. Also a very nice ambient.

Charlotte Goodall: The best grilled fish in town with awesome service! Took my mom for her Birthday in DC and stumbled upon this restaurant via Google and the reviews were good so I decided to try and boy we were not disappointed. We came in to dine at half hour before closing and was taken care of by the most welcoming and cheerful men Chris and Luke. To be served with such extreme enthusiasm after arriving at the 9th hour to dine says alot about character. I definitely recommend this restaurant and whenever I'm in DC I look forward to dining here again.

Henrietta: LET ME TELL YOU!! Came in here on a whim and the food was ON POINT. I got the mixed seafood skewer with brussel sprouts and the fish tasted like it was straight out the ocean. Grilled to perfection… I thought I was in a Caribbean island! The bartender Tony was perfect. Super friendly and quick service. I literally inhaled the entire plate before I realized I should have taken a photo. Go. You won’t be disappointed.

BlackSalt: what do users think?

Anna S: Always delectable! I have been to BlackSalt on many occasions, and the service is always fantastic. This visit was no different from my previous visits. It is the experience you expect with fine dining. From the oysters, to my entree of red snapper with truffle sauce, the food could not have been better! (And I didn’t think I would like the truffle sauce at all! I was so glad I was wrong.) I will, of course, be back again.

JustHereForTheKarma: This was hands down the best seafood I've had in the metro area, it's pricey, but definitely worth it. Only downside was the waiter service was next to non-existent, but the was only one waiter for a while, so that can be forgiven. The folks cleaning up the tables were super fast though, so it was more a matter of putting the order in and dessert ordering. Still worth it.

Christina: Wonderful seafood place! Fresh, tasty and perfectly cooked. We’re just visiting from overseas but would definitely come back if we lived in the area.

Joyce Y: First day in DC , we were hungry and excited to try this place. The oyster selection is good and I would come for oysters alone! The dishes are decent too but my seabass tasted very different from any other seabass I’ve had. The texture was so firm that I felt it was a disappointment. We didn’t like the menu selection for the entree but they pretty much did whatever fish my kids asked for, very flexible with us.

cesarnews4: Customer service at its best. This place has it all. Amazing food, great atmosphere, attention to detail, clean and cozy. My wife loves this place. I made a reservation for her birthday. The restaurant printed out a special menu with the date and a line saying “happy birthday” for our table .. Customized menus for us. How special is that??? After COVID many restaurants lost customer service , attention to detail. It seems like most restaurants are running short staff and it shows on the service level. NOT BLACKSALT This place has it together. Another example. When they brought our food, the ladies on the table get their plate 1st , then everyone else after. We noticed those details. That’s why they deserve 5 starts . Simply put, quality with taste. I highly recommend it . Plus the food is amazing

A. Manka: Well executed food with great flavor! Also received teamwork approach who met our needs and made our experience smooth and relaxing. We have been coming for years.

Meme Smith: It was nice last min plan, first time having Caviar. Would had been nice to know the key notes of the Caviar before I had ordered....the drink was not great I had ordered Cocgnac cocktail that was ruined with a lemon. But over all it was nice I would try it again

David Hosey: Friendly atmosphere. Food was decent but the petit tower wasn’t as fresh as we would have hoped. Overall good experience

Floyd Le Vere II: Best tuna I ever had in my 42 years. Who knew peanut sauce went with mangos and noodles?? Dear God, praise this place, and me, so I can come BACK!

Steve O: The host was great and our waitress started off as a little cold but, then we found out she was the only one there. The calamari was Grrrreeeeaaaattt, especially the bread it was served on

Ophelia’s Fish House: what do users think?

Dani Elle: Sunday brunch -- so good! I prefer pancakes over waffles, but the waffle that came with the chicken & waffles was hands down one of the best I've ever had. My friend had the seafood omlette & bottomless mimosas & loved both. Service was friendly but a little laggy. Parking is hard to find but location is near Metro. I'll definitely come back!
Response: Really glad you had a positive experience, Dani. Thanks for reviewing. Hope you have an amazing day!

Dee Bee: The place is a mixed bag. The Good: 1. We ordered the Seafood Hash and the Country Hash which tasted great. I would recommend if you decide to eat here. 2. The imdoor decor is comfy and the establishment is in a trendy location. The Bad: 1. The portions were small, especially with the "Brioche" French Toast which was four thin slices of basic French Toast with a cup of preserves. Don't let the descriptions on the menu or pics online fool you, you may leave hungry. 2. The place was fairly empty but we still waited several minutes for a waiter, and waited even longer for the check when we were about to leave. 3. What we ordered was missing cheese, even though cheese was an ingredient on the menu. 4. Prices were fairly high for the experience. In conclusion, I believe this place has potential to be good, but given our long wait for service and small food portions, the first experience here was just average.
Response: Hi Dee! Thank you for the constructive criticism, and sorry we couldn’t make it a 5 star experience. It’s important for us know how we can better serve our customers and your comments will be shared with the team. We will be glad to see you again to make your experience with us great! Philip Brady: Well Wow. Ophelia's Fish House was a bit of a gamble for a business dinner, but one that was very successful. The place was delightful and professional without being pretentious--a break from downtown's snobbery. The food was exceptional. I strongly recommend the Whole Snapper. The wine list was limited but well curated. The atmosphere was serene and pleasant. The staff was attentive and courteous--all that I would ask for. I can't comment on their deserts because after four courses of seafood, there was no room. I very much look forward to returning.
Response: We appreciate the review Mr. Brady. Thank you for taking the time. We look forward to serving you again soon!

Wei-Yu Jen: The seafood is fresh, and I like the sauce.I would prefer the omelette to be softer, but still tastes ok.
Response: We appreciate the review, Wei-Yu. Thank you for taking the time. See you next time!

Steve O'Connor: Cute seafood dining with a great patio. Not a long menu but the choices you have are exceptional. Food and drinks are excellent.
Response: So glad you had a great experience, Steve. Hope you have an amazing day and see you soon!

Nya H: Had a wonderful evening because the servicer shared with us his recommendations based on what we like, the food presentation was magnificent and the drinks was strong enough...😉
Response: Hi Nya, we’re thrilled to get this kind of feedback. Thank you for taking the time to review us. We look forward to serving you again soon!

Viviane Del Pizzo: It was really good. I had the mussels and they were delicious. The mussel appetizer is a great size for kids. The wait for the food was not long. I really recommend this place for dinner.
Response: Hi Viviane, that’s wonderful to hear. Thanks so much for leaving us a review. Have a wonderful day!

liv hintlian: Hidden gem honestly. Not one to write reviews but wow I was impressed. Was walking by and decided to try it for brunch, delicious and affordable brunch menu!!
Response: Hi liv, we’re thrilled to get this kind of feedback.Thank you for taking the time to review us. We will share this with the team!

Yaya's Thoughts: Visited with my husband and MIL last Saturday evening at 630pm. We were seated promptly by the hostess, who looked a bit surprised when we walked through the door as she was scrolling on her phone and was sitting at an empty table near the door. We sat and waited to be greeted by a waiter for 30 minutes. We would try to make eye contact or slightly wave at passing staff, but no one came to our table. Another family came in after us and was promptly seated and served. We left at 7pm because no one even talked to us. The hostess was talking to another table during our wait and would look over at us but say nothing to other staff, or acknowledge us in anyway. We were very disappointed when we left.
Response: Hi there Yaya! We are so sorry to hear your bad experience with us, please reach out to bee@hillrestaurantgroup.com to resolve this issue.

S. H.: What a pleasant surprise. Ginormous portions!!! The crab cake was delicious. It has a pepper kick to it. So big. The biggest that I have ever had and it is crab meat. Not breaded filler. So delicious. The Caesar salad was big. Not the little baby side salad like most spots. We came in like 15 minutes before closing but our food was still perfect and delicious. My friend had the lobster bisque and says it was amazing. She is a verrrrrry picky eater and usually hates everything because it prepared incorrectly. She didn't have anything to say but "damn"
Response: Hi S., we’re thrilled to get this kind of feedback. Thank you for taking the time to review us. Hope you have an amazing day!

The Oceanaire Seafood Room: what do users think?

Anna Sumner: I was a member of a party of 5 for my friend's birthday. We were able to reserve a table in advance which was very convenient. Our server, José, was impeccably warm and attentive. The food was beautifully plated and delicious. I tried the chicken-fried lobster and would totally recommend. No part of our meal or experience was anything less than great. It's pricey, but I'd definitely dine here again.
Response: Thank you for your review. We’re glad you had a good experience and hope to see you again soon!

Maya Bryant: Went here for dinner to celebrate my birthday with friends. They were really great at accomplishing a large group of 11. Service was a little bit slow, but that is okay since there was so many of us. Everyone really enjoyed their food and drinks. I ordered the king crab and creamed corn, both were very delicious. The sangrias were also a hit if you like sweet drinks. Just be aware that cake cutting is $5 PER SLICE. yikes. At least they gave me the slice with my name on it.
Response: Hello, we appreciate you sharing your experience with us, and we are always looking for ways to improve and would appreciate any additional feedback you would be willing to provide at the link below. Thank you. http://ms.spr.ly/6260bSjCO

Kyle Lennon: Oceanaire is certainly a class act in fine dining, our meal was absolutely superb. The cocktails were very strong handed and delicious, our server even made one himself. He was an incredible and attentive server that I will certainly be requesting next time. The swordfish, outstanding. The baked Alaska was truly a moment to remember to top it all off. Valet parking was spot on too. 👌🏻🥂
Response: Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us such a fantastic review! We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us. Your satisfaction is our priority, and as affirmed by your review, we pride ourselves on our exceptional service. We sure hope to see you again soon!

Kenyetta B: My husband and I treated my mom to dinner her for her birthday. My husband had been here many times before and it was my mom and I's first time. She and I are from Louisiana and he thought she'd love the seafood since we eat a lot of it there. I have to say it did not disappoint. She and I both had a mixed grill for our entre and my husband had the lobster fried rice. For apps we had calamari, shrimp cocktail, clam chowder and escargot. Everything tasted really good. I wasn't a huge fan of the escargot, but we ordered it b/c it was the opportunity for me to try it. It didn't taste bad, but it was more of a texture thing. The mixed grill, everything was cooked to perfection! The butter sauce, I had to get extra because it was soooo good. My mom loved everything so we were very happy about that. And they even bought out the flaming baked Alaska and she was over the moon about it. We left well fed and well taken care of. The ambiance was nice and oceanie and it's a great place for special occasions or just a great seafood dinner.

Christopher Gillespie: We had an amazing dining experience thanks to Carlos and the support staff. No glass was even close to empty and attention to detail on every dish. I got the whole fried snapper and it was as tasty as it looks. Great oysters, even had west coast options.
Response: Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. It means so much when our customers share their experiences. We are glad we were able to meet your expectations! We hope to see you again soon!

Fallon Valentine: I really enjoyed this place, the oyster omg they were amazing, the mussels were so delicious only disappointment was my steak temperature I asked for medium rare and got a well done steak it was still tasty and tender. I love how the servers take really good care of you.
Response: Thank you for your review. We’re glad you had a good experience and hope to see you again soon!

m weston: Loved the food! Loved the setting and ambiance! Awesome service … BUT super pricey. If you have money to burn then this is your place. Once is enough for me. Lol

Sandra: The place was 5 star service, from the valet to all the staff. Everybody treated our party like VIP. We sit at the bar waited for all my guest to arrive. The bartender treated us like VIP. That service was superb. Who ever trained the staff, has done a magnificent job. The drinks at the bar and the food at the table was excellent. I was celebrating my birthday. This was a excellent choice. I felt like royalty. Prices were expensive, but well worth it. The side choices could be expanded a little bit more of a variety. Seafood choices, I expected a bigger selection, but everybody has cut their menus down. Overall the menu was good. I will definitely go back. It was a delightful pleasure. Thank you, A Birthday Charm Saturday 12/18/21

Aurora Martinez: One negative thing, we were seated next to a table that had loud people and kind of disturbed us a little. Like they were no more than 3 feet from us and they were REALLY loud. Another table had to move because the other table was loud. Not something you want to experience when you're trying to enjoy fine dining.
Response: Hello, we appreciate you sharing your experience with us, and we are always looking for ways to improve and would appreciate any feedback you would be willing to provide at the link below. Thank you. http://ms.spr.ly/6266wbtjo We hope to see you again soon!

Bill A: While the service was good, I would not recommend this restaurant‘s food. I had to send my steak back twice and they still couldn’t get it right. The crab Cobb salad had very little crab and the side of crab Louis was a bunch of gooey whatever. After spending over $300 on “dinner” for 3, I had to go to The Hamilton for dinner. Highly recommend The Hamilton but make reservations in advance. Food is great and surprisingly good value.

Tony and Joe's Seafood Place: what do users think?

Mary M.: Great scenery, food was okay but pricey. Would've expected a bigger portion for the price. Blackened salmon salad was some of the best salmon I've had. The boil pot was very small and only a few of each thing - maybe two slices of sausage. In my opinion there shouldn't be more potatoes / corn than meat. Crowded area, I would recommend getting a reservation ahead of time.

Gabby Bonilla: This restaurant is really large with seating available outside and inside. We sat inside because it was extremely hot outside. The food was okay, but overly priced. We ordered fried shaved Brussels sprouts and they came out burnt, but other than that the food and drinks were just okay.

Scott O'Brien: Pretty small lunch menu. Not to many options. Came in for a late lunch. We were directed to the bar to seat ourselves as our only option. We sat at a high top and was then motioned by the bar tender to come get our menus. So we quickly realized this is a bar without service. After making our food choices we had to get up and go to the bar to order. Ok. The food actually came to us and they did refill our drinks when requested. Food was good and came out quickly. But I’m still one that thinks that great service can overcome ok food. But even with good food, bad service is hard to come back from. In the end I’m not sure I would go back or recommend this restaurant.

Celal Gulluoglu: It was a great time and I was so fully satisfied with the seafood. The best dish is the mussels. It made me feel so alive. The only letdown was the price for the food. In my opinion, the price wasn’t worth it. Last thing that was amazing was the sight of the river.

David Arrimadas: One of the best fish places in DC. Very kind staff and extremely good quality. The mussels are delicious and the crab soup is really tasty. Very nice place also with good terrace to enjoy if the temperature allow you to do it. Highly recommended!

Vy H.: Great location for drinks and light food by the waterfront! It’s always busy packed on the weekends but was lucky this past Sunday for a table outdoors! Service is great too. Seafood wise, top favorites were the Hot Crab Dip, Steamed Top Neck Clams and the Chilled Seafood Tower!

K Santos: Great service, they have outdoor dining which is great. Food is great, we had burgers, clam chowder and their fish. Big main servings you can share. They have a great detail of having sanitizers in each table to make sure you clean your hands. Great view too right in front of the potomic river.

Denise Primus: The views of the water are amazing!!! The courtyard is pretty too. My food was ok but I wasn't really satisfied. I didn't like that they DO NOT allow substitutions of menu items. I really wanted the crab cakes but didn't like the vegetables it was paired with. So if i wanted fries i would have to pay for a side of them🤷🏽‍♀️. So I had crab legs... Also we were a really large party (of 21) and the server for our table was difficult at best. He wasnt very friendly and it appeared as if we were bothering him. He wouldn't split our check but it was done for our other table. Funny bc when the chk came the 18%gratuity was added. Not sure if I'd go back when visiting DC again.

Kevin Russell: We went for lunch because my friend loves their ribs. It's not on the menu now so we settled for salad and mahi. Was very good. Service was good. If go back for sure. Good for people watching a well.

김서진: One of the best fishes place. I enjoyed fresh sea food. I love this place, outdoor mood♥️

Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab: what do users think?

Teresa Simmons: Amazing food, impeccable service. The ambiance is so relaxing and lovely. A true gem in DC. Oysters Rockefeller was so good, best I have had in years!! The sangria was flavorful and refreshing. We can't wait to visit on our next trip to DC!!! The chocolate fudge pie was decadent and delicious! This was just 1/2 a slice, more than enough to share!!!

Alexander Staufenberg: My parent took me here for their anniversary dinner. I was sort of nervous about the vegetarian options — but I was very pleased with stuffed mushrooms, the potatoes lyonnaise and the steamed asparagus. The portions are very generous. After hearing we were celebrating an anniversary the house gave us a complimentary brownie with ice cream and whipped cream. It was divine.

Konstantin: Great restaurant. Atmosphere is nice, staff is friendly and food is really good. Oysters were fresh and fried chicken was simply delicious. This place is very popular so reservation is recommended there.

Luke L'sk: The one seafood restaurant that is repeatedly being recommended as we search online for dinner it is located very close to the White House so if you're tourism then may as well go there for a night view of the front of the president's home. if you're driving to have a file a talking for $20 right in the front so that you don't have to worry about finding a location to park your vehicle. I would highly recommend that you make reservation a few days ahead as there is hardly any space for time slot when I was booking my reservation; we were seated very quickly after entering the restaurant. It is a large selection for drinks on cocktail and wine. Maturity of the food selection is based on Seafood. We chose to have some raw oyster as well as a sample of the seafood selection for appetizer with entree as the seafood pasta and a flounder on the market price list. We had some question on the wine selection, the supervisor or the manager on the floor came to advise and give us the recommendation for the wine that we would like to have, he was very knowledgeable. Our waiter Kurt is splendid, he was very friendly and attentive, making sure our needs are met. It was a lovely dining experience to spend my friend's birthday dinner there. it was a nice touch that Kurt could gave us a complimentary ice cream brownie with a candle to blow for his birthday wish of the night

James Marable: Had the filet & lobster tail both were cooked perfectly. The lobster Mac could benefit from the addition of a more bold cheese to add flavor as it was somewhat bland. Service was great and loved that they kept my sparkling water on ice! I also had the crab bisque but it lacked crab, it was mostly onions/shallots (nothing like the crab bisque as Jeff Ruby’s in the Midwest).

Swastika Nohara: The best stone crab there is! My favorite was crab stuffed shrimp because it was creamy and delicious! Perfectly seasoned and crunchy at the same time. Creamed spinach and broccolini was also nice. We spent 156 USD for those meals as seen on my photos.

Maryam Sherbaf: We went to Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone crab for our anniversary. The service is excellent, atmosphere is nice , the restaurant is pretty packed. The food is good but it’s a bit overrated and overpriced.

Allison Williams: Wow this place is gorgeous, really nice ambiance, I want to start there. The food is delicious and fresh as well. It is pricey so if your going and you have a party of more than 2, expected to spend like 100$ a person. The drinks were good but not strong enough for me. It was my birthday and my first time there and I enjoyed every moment.

Melissa Flaminio: Our waiter Jeffrey was fantastic. We were looking for a good seafood spot close to our hotel that we could celebrate my recent graduation and it totally hit the spot. Got the seafood pasta and the crab was buttery with citrus, and the little slices of asparagus was top notch. Loved it and definitely worth the trip

Tarek Paige: It was my husband and I 24th anniversary a magical night at Joe's, it doesn't matter what you order the food and Service are Superb and all the desserts are made in house I suggest that you make a reservation valet parking Is available, Joe's is a great place you won't be disappointed

Fiola Mare: what do users think?

Richard Holst: Elegant and delicious. Everything is gears towards an excellent experience. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. The restaurant has many quiet and corners with the perfect atmosphere. It is well organized and very clean, every inch has amazing details. The food and drink selection is extensive and everything we had was prepared to perfection. The views of the water are amazing and there are plenty of things to walk to in the area. We will be back here often.

Keana Williams: This was an enjoyable food experience from the appetizer breads and jelly, to the Prawn appetizer dish all the way to the lightest and fluffiest pancakes I possibly have ever had! No extra syrup needed!!! Not to mention, the bottomless Mimosas (or other drinks) weren't that bad either... I'm sure you will enjoy this place, just make sure you bring your check book! 😄😄

Dario Camilo Barros Viñas: 5 stars for real in every aspect. It has both a very fancy area indoor and a fancy yet relaxed area in the patio. The service was amazing, the food was superb, the cocktails were delicious and generous. Canver the manager was very kind and served us the calamari complementary make us feel even better served! I didn’t know the Branzino taste this good until I tried it here. We were only two so we couldn’t try more plates but do yourself a favor and try Fiola Mare!

Christopher Gillespie: All about the dining experience here, they go above and beyond. Did the bottomless brunch with amazing views. Brunch at this level of execution will be very tough to match. The blue fin ahi could be best bites of 2022 to date. The scallop crudo was melt in the mouth. Worth the price of admission.

Pe Lin (Cilibluebird): A five star seafood restaurant that deserves the five star. Great for special events minimum 50 USD per per person, but well deserved. Hakan was our server and he made this experience exceptional. Pasta’s are excellent. Georgetown next to water. Outside seating is great in the evenings of hot summers.

Roz Manning: Fabulous venue for our intimate wedding dinner with family. The Mermaid Room and adjoining patio were perfect. The appetizers were delicious, dinner was delectable and service superb.

Vannora Hawkins: We dined here for my husband's birthday. The food, service and ambience was A+. He got the Wagyu and it was cooked to perfection. My branzino was light, flaky and simply delicious. The oysters were AMAZING! The Brussels Sprouts is a must try! After trying to decide over 8 restaurants, we were glad we ended up at Fiola Mare.

Mike: Easter brunch was amazing. Staff, as always, is fantastic.Intro: watercress soup and the other dish white asparagus.Mains: blue crab omelette and Australian lamb.Glad to see that a packed restaurant. Make reservations!

Alemselam Tekeba: So delicious food. Everything is gears towards an excellent experience. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. The restaurant don’t have an Apple Pay, since me and my wife use’s almost everywhere and one additional thing wore if you don’t have an ID card you can’t be served alcohol even if we look adults we felt uncomfortable but we used other credit cards to pay and we cancel my wife’s wine order. The views of the water are amazing and there are plenty of things to walk to in the area.

Tash M: Had a private dinner here and it was an exceptional experience. The food was lovely, so was the service. Special thanks to Darina for being so attentive and providing an especially memorable experience.

Pearl Dive Oyster Palace: what do users think?

Jill G: Absolutely amazing! The muscles were just so good, we had to get more bread so we could sop up the sauce. The blackened catfish and shrimp and grits were perfect and delicious. They also gave us a little basket of the the most delicious bread and corn bread muffins in the world! But definitely, the best thing we ate was the bananas foster!! SOOOO GOOD! One small complaint, is that the lobster Rangoon did not seem worth the price. They were pretty good, but you only get 3 for $19. I wouldn’t recommend getting those.

The Boneman: We were in town for a wedding and read the Google reviews. We saw that the food was stellar and we saw Quincy was the waiter to have. Reserved on Open Table and Tammy was SO nice at the desk. She seated us right away. Quincy is probably really great BUT we had Tim as our server. He was AWESOME! The food was SPECTACULAR. We have eaten in New Orleans often and this was right up there with Acme!! Thank you to Tim, Tammy AND the Chef! Great experience….. we WILL be back!

Lucy Ruderman: Pretty disappointed by the oysters. We got a dozen mixed oysters and some were barely oysters (so tiny) while one was the size of two oysters you had to cut it in half. Shucking wasn’t so great and there was no brine (no saltiness at all) in 4 of them, as if they had been washed out in freshwater. Martini was good but inconsistent in taste.

Orange Man: If you're in DC......make the time to go to Pearl Dive Oyster Palace. Quincy our server was the BEST!!!! Food was just the right portions and we enjoyed the music which was a vibe but not too loud. Actually went for dinner on Friday and came back on Sunday for Brunch.

Min Cheng: Loved the food, delicious. Staff were very pleasant and cheerful, especially Nate. Enjoyed our dinner, certainly will go back again.

Pirachula Chulanon: Fresh oysters and delicious southern style seafood dishes. Friendly and attentive service. The mussels are highly recommended. Don’t miss the divine pecan pie à la mode!

Jazski: Kind staff! great food. My 9 yr old daughter is into oysters this year and she loved this spot also. They ran out of blue points but saved the day with their wellfleets... divine

Gisela R: I came here for my birthday for brunch with my two besties and had a great time. The food was great and the service was amazing!

Sharalaina Piro-Rael: Really amazing food and service. We had a great time here. Every thing is top notch. We had some great drinks, oysters, a meal, desserts. The steak was amazing. The Tres Leches and Bananas Foster was super good too. Espresso Martini and Margaritas were great. Definitely try this place out!

Tan Sav: We ate upstairs because all of the outdoor seating was taken. The bartender was very nice. The oysters were good. I'd say the food was decent.

Ocean Prime: what do users think?

Steven Dominguez: Steak is top tier, dare to say quite possibly the best steak in the city. The sides, service and calamari appetizer left MUCH to be desired. It's a shame you have to make this trade off to enjoy such a good steak. Didn't try the seafood. Value? $250 for two with no alcohol seemed slightly overpriced, especially with a comped dessert.

Solana Cox: We celebrated our 5 year anniversary here all the way from Pittsburgh and let me tell you, Ocean Prime did not disappoint. It was well worth the start of our road trip to DC. Everyone who came to our table went above and beyond. I ordered the teriyaki salmon and it was scrumptious! When I told the waiter that it was our anniversary, they made sure it was going to be a night to remember. Highly recommend this place.

Syerra Carigo: We visited for happy hour on Wednesday and it wasn’t too crowded. I tried their delicious steak tartare and my husband had their oysters. I also tried their “berries and bubbles” cocktail which comes with dry ice, Belvedere citrus vodka, marinated berries, house made sour, and Chandon Brut. This drink was so sweet and very cute! The staff were all friendly, and all the bartenders attended to you whether they were serving you or not. We had a very nice time. I’m looking forward to returning for dinner.

Danovel Tolli: This was my first time Dining at Ocean Prime. Taking my lady out for her birthday. It was nothing more than a top tier experience. The waiter Briyan was awesome..extremely friendly, warm, and you just knew he enjoyed serving us and you felt it everytime he visited the table. The first thing I tasted was the Surf and Turf Scallop, and prime rib..Amazingly tender and full of flavor. Nothing more than immaculate. The Lamb Chops were the best I have ever tasted from anywhere. Prepare to be here for a while as they do take their time to give you an experience. I will be going back for the Private dining experience for sure.

chris chadwick: Oceans Prime was truly a great experience. The service was friendly and on top of everything very impressed for a busy place. The food was amazing. I had a 10 filet cooked medium rare minus....tender, juice and delicious. The peanut butter chocolate cake thing out of this world! Great food and wine excellent service.

eriko p: Ocean Prime was the BEST meal we had during our visit to DC. Hands DOWN the BEST!!! We were exhausted after another day of walking around the Mall and the museums and needed an oasis to sit down, relax and hydrate. We stumbled into Ocean Prime without knowing what to expect. We were seated immediately to a beautiful quiet booth. The booths on the perimeter face the street and those booths are beautiful deep blue velvet ones! ( next time I might request those! ) Our server ( tall Chinese woman) was spot on perfect! She asked if we wanted water: still, bubbly or tap. We chose bubbly and there were free refills! We drank a lot of water! She was helpful and polite in her suggestions. We started our meal with steak tartare and it was spiced and flavored beautifully! It was the best steak tartare we have had in a long time. I ordered the scallops over risotto and my husband ordered the chilean sea bass. Both dishes melted in our mouths and we were relishing each bite. The food was beautifully presented. The staff all seemed to work extremely well! That takes a lot of training and good leadership. Bravo! I saw a few business men having their lunches as well as older couples. We were not dressed in business attire, but it didn't seem to matter. Service, food and presentation were SPOT ON Amazing! Thank you Ocean Prime for making our DC lunch a wonderful relaxing delicious experience.

Love Chan: Back at it AGAIN…my Fav❣️😋

Francina Thomas: My family made reservations at this Restaurant for my birthday celebration. I loved it, felt like a Queen for the evening. Everything was wonderful from start to finish. The check in crew were friendly and professional- found our reservations and table was ready on the spot. Our waiter Alexander was superb !! He was friendly, knowledgeable on the menu, wine, sprits and dessert. His recommendations were excellent. He truly made my birthday special by treating me to my dessert. How sweet. The Food was Delicious 😋 😍!!! The prices were upscale but so was the service and food- definitely worth it. The portions were large. The variety was awesome. We tried a bottle of Resling wine from a California venue which was light, fruity and semi sweet - just like i like it. There were 6 of us coupled off with a meal price around $150.00 to $250.00 per couple. I will definitely keep this place in mind for a return visit.

Ron Paige: Amazing Experience. Sofia was an amazing Server. Professionalism personified❤ Dining Manager Ebony was amazing and checked on us along with the Sou Chef. It lives up to the hype. BEST Calamari EVER! Platter Up the snapper with a lobster tail and filet mignon. Thank me later.❤💯 The East Coast Oysters are Amazing. Thank you. Worth every dollar spent and wonder staff. THANK YOU for a great BDAY and sublime Dining experience.

Monica R S: Berries and Bubbles cocktail was soooo good and it was fun to watch the bubbles. The Prime Roll was delicious, good texture, fish was fresh. The Lobster Tails were perfectly cooked and it’s a big portion! The carrot cake is good but it’s a tad too sweet for my taste, it is a big portion so it’s good to share. Our server Derek was very attentive and friendly.

Luke's Lobster Farragut: what do users think?

L Porter: Good for families with outside seating. The customer service was really friendly, and most important, the lobster roll was soooo tasty. Crispy bread, well-seasoned meat, and a sauce that complemented but didn’t overpower the tender lobster. My kids liked the grilled cheese and fries.
Response: Hi Porter, Awesome! We appreciate your kind remarks and those beatiful photos! We are just so stoaked that you enjoyed your experience with us, and we hope we get to serve you and your family again really soon. Thank you and take care!

Claire H: Luke's lobster rolls are excellent. Lots of tender lobster meat and a buttery roll that does not overwhelm the lobster. And the clam chowder was delicious with clam in every bite. Yes, the prices are high but it's high quality lobster and you get what you pay for! I will definitely be back.
Response: Hi Claire, Awesome! We are so glad hear that you had a great experience here at Luke's Farrgut the other day. Your kind words mean more than you know, and we truly appreciate you taking some time to provide some feedback. We look forward to serving you again sometime soon. Thanks again and until next time!

Lena Lee: Delicious! We got Luke's Trio, clam chowder, Lobster Mac, Lobster Grilled Cheese, and fries. Every single thing was so, so good. Staff was really friendly, too! Yes, it's expensive for the portions, but it seems they are conscientious about fair wages, so I feel good about giving them my patronage.
Response: Hi Lena, Thanks so much for this raving reveiw, we really appreciate it! Our team just loves to hear about the great experiences like this one, and really compliements our hard work and efforts. Thanks agian, and we look forward to serving you again real soon. Take Care!

Ken “BIGKEN” Valentin: Terrible service. Ordered the Luke's Trio. Took them close to 40 minutes to get our order ready. Told them several times not to add mayonnaise and they still put mayo and everything was ice cold. Then to be told that's how they serve it in Maine? I've been to Maine and I've had lobster rolls and they serve them hot in butter. And if its cold, why did it take so long to make? No customer service at all and staff was rude when told of their mistake. I won't go back and will not recommend them to anyone!!! Go somewhere else if you want something hot to eat.
Response: Hi Ken, We are saddened to hear about your experience with us the other day. This is definitely not the experience we would like any of our guests to have and is certainly not common. We apologize, and we would love the oppotunity to make things right. Please reach out to the restaurant directly and ask for Caleb. Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you soon. Regards, Caleb

Stacey Mae: I was intimidated by the prices, however the service, transparency of sustainable practices, and the lobster roll in itself blew me away. I understand and definitely recommend for those who appreciate intentionality and quality. First bite of the lobster roll will forever be engrained as the best I’ve ever had until further notice. So fresh!!!
Response: Stacey, thank you so much! We do pride ourselves in serving sustainable, traceable seafood. Cutting out the middleman is how we are able to serve you fresh lobster at such a reasonable rate. Maine lobster season will begin next month, the lobster will be soft shell and super sweet at that time. Also, maybe you can stop by and try our Spicy Mala roll! Thanks again for coming in!

Elena Burke: Very small portion of everything and cost too much. We ordered 2 sandwiches, 2 soups and 2 drinks. The sandwiches are not served on rolls. The sandwiches are served on a slice of bread. Overpriced. We left this place hungry. Not recommended...
Response: Hi Elena, Thank you for giving Luke's a try and dining with us the other day!. It was a pleasure serving you and your friend. We pride ourselves in always being able to pay our lobsterman, who we partner with, fair rates for the catch. But, as we continue to that commitment our prices will relect the costs we pay. Our prices will for sure reduce soon as the inustry stabalizes. Thanks so much again and take care!

Tony Tran: Parking: There were street parking but only if you’re lucky. I recommend getting dropped off or walk there. I’m not from the area and used Apple Maps to walk there. It was a bit of a struggle to find because the map directs you to the entrance on a different side of the block. Ambience: fast pace Service: 4/5 cashier was nice and friendly Food ordered: 5/5 I ordered the Luke Trio to get a little taste of everything. Overall: 5/5 The food portion was decent for its price considering it is seafood. All three in the order I loved the most Lobster, crab, shrimp were exceptional great! I would definitely return here if in the area.
Response: Hi Tony! Thank you for leaving us such a detailed review. Yes, parking is a bit difficult around here. I would recommend the metro, walking or uber. We do have a garage right next to us and another three on the same block. I'm happy that you enjoyed your food and service. We can't wait to see you again soon. Take care Kurt Larry General Manager Luke's Lobster Farragut

Mr. T: At $30 for a 4oz lobster roll, cole slaw and a soda, it was quite pricey for a week day lunch. However, the food was very nice, the restaurant was impeccable and the service was top notch. You are in the very heart of DC. Blocks away from the White House. The very seat of power in the modern world. So, $30 for lunch is reasonable. While I was there, I did see a few potential customers walk in, get sticker shock and make an about face. About the food: Lobster roll was very good. The roll was a soft Texas toast-type set up that was uniquely cut down the center to form the tasty bun. The lobster was seasoned well in a light dressing that complimented the lobster without overpowering it. The cole slaw was a generous portion. It is a vinegar-based slaw that for me was a bit too much on the sour-acidic side, but I could see the attempt to provide contrast to the lobster and make the lobster sweetness pop. A sweet slaw would have been too much sweet for the palate. The better side choice would have been the kettle chips, but then you’re losing the healthier aspect of the slaw. I thought I had bought a Mexican coke in a neat looking bottle with a different type of label. To my surprise, it didnt taste like Mexican coke or coke or even cola. It had a weird taste. Not bad, just weird. A closer look at the label revealed it was a Mexicane coke from Maine. Figures Maine folk would mess up a cola like that. Was it old bay seasoning I was tasting??? Dont know but wont be ordering it again. The better drink choice would have been a nice ice cold bottle of beer. Blue Moon would have been an excellent choice, but I dont think they have it on site. The restaurant was immaculate. Everything was in order and everything was super clean. The entire staff was exceptional. Very friendly, attentive and respectful. Consider tipping them up front because they will earn it. It’s hard to find dedicated food service staff these days. Job Very Well Done! Every star was EARNED! Bravo!!🙏🏼
Response: Hi Mr T, Wow! I have not smiled this much at a review so in a long time. We appreciate you visiting Luke's while in the city and for taking the time out to leave this raving review. I can't wait to share it with the team as they love to hear feedback such as this. We work really hard to ensure every guest has experiences such as this, and it looks like we nailed it. Sweet! Thanks again, we hope to serve you again next time you're in the city. Take care!

Mukarram: Food was ok, ive had better though. A lobster roll and a shrimp roll came out to $42. Both the size of a small gas station hot dog. This was sandwich only (not combo with drink and fries). Assuming with that, probably woulda came out to $70+ Very disappointing size to price ratio.
Response: HI Mukarram, Thanks for taking some time out to leave some feedback. We are sad that you didn't have a great experience with us. It appears that we didn't describe all of our offerings to you during this visit. As far as pricing, we have a commitment to paying our lobsterman a fair rate for their catch and in doing so our prives have increased as well. Thanks again for dining with us the other day. Take care!

Kristen Marie: Service was excellent. Food came out pretty quick. Had lobster rolls, lobster mac and cheese, and clam chowder. All of it was amazing and so fresh!!! Food was a bit pricey so me and my friend split a meal at first but needing up ordering more because it was just that good.
Response: Hey Kristen! Thank you for providing us with some awesome feedback. I'm so happy that you and your friend enjoyed your experience with us. We can't wait to see you both again soon. Take care Kurt Larry General Manager Luke's Lobster Farragut

McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks: what do users think?

Tracey Robinson: So we went here for our 4 year anniversary because I'm a seafood lover and when I tell you my Lobster was so fresh and so well prepared (shout out to the chef)! the waiter that we had wasn't as great but the food was so good you kind of forget about her forgetting everything. My margarita that I ordered was different it came with a hot pepper in it but it was still good and strong I guess that's a thing in DC because a couple of restaurants I went to had peppers in the margarita.

Jason Jonathan: Coming here with my partner during our trip to D.C., and it was one of our best decision. Our waitress, Jessica, was very friendly. We ordered the stuffed salmon and their top sirloin, both of which were very tender and reasonably seasoned. Somehow we love their mashed potatoes very much! It's smooth and creamy, perfect!
Response: It was a pleasure serving you! We really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We hope you'll come and see us again soon!

Tiffany Smith: Went here with a friend and everything was outstanding; from our waiter (only wish I could recall his name) to our dessert. The wine list was exceptional, the oysters were delicious as was the Seabass that I had and the lobsters that my friend had. We even finished up with some cheesecake. Service was A++

Warman Hall: I got the chance to visit while I was in Washington DC for a conference. The other folks in the group wanted to try this place. I'm very glad we went. The steak was outstanding! While the stalks of asparagus I ordered were larger than I was used to getting it was perfectly cooked. I was told to try the lobster bisque and it was one of the best choices I made on the whole trip. I highly recommend this for a special night out for anyone in the area.
Response: Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us. We hope to see you again soon!

Craig GroveRealtor: Had an excellent experience. Our waiter AJ was super friendly and made great suggestions. He made us feel extremely comfortable and laugh. The steak and sides were delicious. Highly recommended! Ask for AJ!

Monique Jackson King: I had a long travel day and was really happy to finally sit and enjoy a meal! I came in and when the hostess (African-American woman with blonde hair in a bun) walked up, she didn’t say hello or ask how many would be dining. She looked at me awkwardly for a moment and I then asked to be seated. She told me they weren’t taking any more walk in guests (the dining room had available seating). She didn’t offer an alternative. I asked her if the bar was open and she asked another host, or host manager, who was standing there. I seated myself and enjoyed my meal, but was disappointed in that being my first “greeting.” It lacked hospitality and professionalism. The server at the bar was great and made up for the earlier experience.
Response: We are always looking for ways to improve and would appreciate any additional feedback you would be willing to provide at the link below. Thank you. http://ms.spr.ly/6269b6G3W

Courtney B: My first time here and I loved it! It was a friends 35th birthday, they gave the 5 of us a private booth, that we could close the curtain for more privacy if needed. Bella our sever was amazing from start to finish. I got the crab and shrimp stuffed salmon and it was really good with the lobster bisque mashed potatoes! I will definitely be back!
Response: It was a pleasure serving you! We really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We hope you'll come and see us again soon!

Dani Elle: Very good food. Cosmo drink was one of the best I've ever had. Service was attentive but slow (the norm post-COVID in my experience) so be prepared for a leisurely meal. I'll be back!

Phillip Bulger: Food was good, but not great value for price. Service could have been better, a few orders for a group of 10 were missed. Steak needed to be sent back. Overall still a good experience.

SuJin Choi: Made a dinner reservation for 5:30pm through opentable, we had to wait for the waiter to sit us at 5:50pm and the restaurant was clearly empty and even made few eye contacts with a few of the servers walking around in the back). The woman's restroom ran out of soap and had an odd odor. At a time with the COVID19 going around, you would think a restaurant would stock up on soap for their customers. We ordered the fried calamari and arugula salad. Fourth of the calamari was fried veggies/jalapenos. The lobster tails were alright. We got the C.A.B NY strip with bone in at medium rare but it came closer to medium/medium well and some burnt edges. Truffle fries tasted like normal fries. Nothing too special and truffle about it. Not sure if I'll make another visit (at least at this location).

The Salt Line: what do users think?

Aneulena Candelaria: My husband and I dined for an early dinner on Valentine's Day. There is construction going in the area so give yourself extra time, but there is a parking garage so you won't have to hunt when you arrive. The host was really friendly and we were immediately taken to our table. Our waiter, Jason, was excellent. He shared recommendations, explained how to order from the raw bar, and helped me pick the perfect drink. The food was wonderful! It wasn't too loud or too crowded. Outdoor dining was available and they had heaters to keep guests warm. We went at 1715 so it wasn't very crowded in our area but before we left quite a few more tables were in use than when we arrived. If you're concerned about the crowd, an early dinner around 1700 is perfect, you'll be wrapping up as the crowd is starting to arrive. We will absolutely return to fine again!

Matthew Rathbun: I finally had some Pappy van Winkle! Outstanding location with a beautiful view outside and comfortable setting inside. The menu items are fantastic making it hard to choose just one thing. The clam selection is fantastic, as is the presentation. The clam chowder is very good, but not as good as the other food items that our group purchased. The staff is very friendly, efficient and engaging. The food was terrific and the drinks were perfectly mixed. Great experience and I highly recommend it.

Blue Girl: We were really happy with our first dining experience here. Great food, great ambience, excellent customer service. Fresh seafood, we enjoyed our oysters and drinks were on point. Awesome bartenders. We watched the staff and they were operating really good. Food was served on time. Restroom was also clean. Thank you so much guys. We can’t wait to come back. Beautiful waterfront restaurant.

Joseph Morgan: Lunch/Brunch 2 adults 2 kids $75-100 Great atmosphere and views of the river and new Frederick Douglas bridge. As other mention the oysters are good. The kids menu is good, the crispy fish sandwich is good. The eggs Benedict were good but they over cooked the poached eggs. Great wine and beer list. Great Bloody Mary.

Arshad Sayed: Great Food. Great Ambience. Terrific Service = Worth repeating. Our order—Coddies, 3 fried balls of Cod, mashed potatoes with mustard on a cracker. A lovely appetizer. With just two of us we chose Olive oil poached black bass, with kale and celery root puree.. refined taste just right. And we had the Watermans platter — fried fish, oysters, shrimp, scallops, with generous amounts of fries and colesaw. Sharing the two dishes for the entree was sufficient. Just the Black Bass might not have been enough for one so the combination of the two worked out just fine. The food was served hot and the service impeccable! Seated outside, with the burners, sipping sweet Italian vermouth to down it all and and watching the lights of the bridge shimmering in the water, while finishing off the pineapple pudding ( the rum glaze was a tad bit too strong for our taste) fighting for the last piece of pudding 😀 was about perfect! All this for $110 with tax. Unfortunately the star system means that this rating would fall on the upper end between 4-5 and I don’t give 5 stars anymore.

John Edwards: Group of five all had fantastic dinners. I'm not much for seafood so I went with the New England smash burger and fries alongside a frosty Del's Shandy from Narragansett. Everything was excellent. We left a very happy group.

Brian Woolf: What could easily be a basic bar next to the ballpark was instead a hip cool hangout with great food. Of course fresh shucked oysters, but some surprises like Baltimore coddies and a very good chicken slider. Combine that with the young energy and great view and you can't go wrong.
Response: So glad you enjoyed the restaurant and appreciate your review! Hope you can join us again soon

Shamsher: I would really want to give this place some applause but it is kinda hard to do so. Find out why in the below gibberish. My friend insisted to dine here and as a good friend I was like “SURE!” Find a bar top next to the bar. Put in my order of 2 drinks and the Waterman’s Platter that you see below pictures. It was priced $33. Who doesn’t love fried food? So, naturally I want to love this platter as well but the amount of salt in this platter could kill all the snail population of the world. I mean the place is called SALT LINE and I get all your jokes, the ones that you as a reader are thinking and laughing about this but it was actually not funny eating this. The fries were some of the worst fries I have had in the world. I don’t even need to explain why see the picture please. No napkins were served with the food. No silverware was given with the food. That is about it. You be the judge of it but I am giving this place 1.2/5 P.S The receptionist who worked there that shift was amazing though. I asked her for both silverware and napkins. She just handed them right away. So thank you so much.

Michael Powers: Great service and tasty food with an excellent view of the water and Nats Park. We got the Waterman platter and crab chilaquiles. Both were great. And we happened to go the day Zimmerman's number was being retired so they were offering 1 free drink per person on the house!

Monique Diop: Nice space, easy to get to ( uber not sure of parking) food fresh, delicious and interesting.. Seafood Bratwurst was good. We ate outdoors. with warm heat lamps near a pink lighted bridge! #FDMB

Hank's Oyster Bar: what do users think?

Kim Walker: Came to DC for the memorial weekend. One stop on my many adventures between DC and MD was this restaurant. And I am glad I did. Me and my guest did not have a reservation so we opted to sit at the bar until a table was available. We came on a Saturday during brunch. The hostess was pleasant but Chad stole the show. His drinks were amazing. Mine was one he made up and it was sooooo good. Food was fresh and served quickly. Flavors were also on point. Our server was friendly and had excellent oyster recommendations. Very good. I definitely recommend and would come back.

Cayna Sharp: Hank’s is a perfect spot for a celebration, but if you have a large group, you will have to sit in their covered outdoor area because they have very limited indoor seating. Everything our group had was great. We shared a selection of oysters, which were all very fresh, hush puppies, and crab dip for appetizers and everything was so good. I had the rockfish for my dinner and it was cooked perfectly. They are gluten free-friendly and accommodated our group and they even brought out a little bowl of chocolate with a candle for my birthday even though they don’t offer dessert. They had a great selection of cocktails, but they were out of a few of the listed options. Our waitress was great and super kind! 10/10 would go back

Adam Heiss: Best oyster bar in DC! The oyster selection is excellent and always super fresh. My top favorite is the lobster roll with a beautiful buttery perfectly toasted brioche bun which is the ideal vessel for a generous helping of perfectly seasoned creamy lobster filling.

Hsing-Yu Chang: We like the ambiance, staff is funny and friendly. We went during happy hour so we could only sit inside. The oysters are delicious; so is the crab dip

Sarah Ouellette: Best fish and chips in DC. All the food was delicious. Especially loved the fried oysters and shrimp and calamari appetizer.

Tina A: This is absolutely a must eat. The restaurant is a hidden jewel and easy to miss for tourist based on its location off the tourist path. It is part of a DC neighborhood. It possess a nice quaint appeal, relaxing vibes and soothing atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is good excellent. Everything we ate was well seasoned. The portion sizes in comparison to the price is a steal. We ate the popcorn shrimp/calamari “small” plate and a bowl of lobster bisque (which contains large chunks of lobster yay) and was too full to order anything else. The “adult” beverages didn’t skimp on the alcohol either!!! Search for this hidden gem and I promise you find a treasure.

Von Morgan: Delicious!! Hank's Oyster Bar is amazing. The food is fresh and delicious. The Shrimp Po Boy is out of this world However, the Oysters are the star of the show! The staff is great. They're friendly, and professional. The restaurant is clean and smells great. Finally, the drinks! Great, strong, and reasonable priced! Definitely worth a trip to Hank's!

Taryn Morgan: My friend & I dined together at Hanks last night- our experiences were quite different. I opted for the house raw oysters which were fresh, briny and delicious. My friend ordered the calamari which was fried to perfection. For the main entrees I chose the Oysters Rockefeller Pasta which was quite good. My friend chose the Lobster Bisque which amounted to a bowl of substandard tomato soup with some lobster meat on top. Not even the lobster meat was edible- it was mushy & a little slimy. Our server was pleasant and responsive. The complaint with the bisque was accepted with good humor & deducted from the bill. Lessons learned from our trip to Hanks; stick with the oysters!

Carla Ferguson (Your Bon Viveur): The food was great, really fresh, and the service was excellent. The drinks could have been better, but overall I was very satisfied.

J M: Loved the food, and most of the staff! Except the one female bartender with the backwards hat and rainbow logo on her shirt the night of 6/16. She was rude to us directly, and then I watched her fight with two other couples while they were trying to order. We asked her a simple question about the menu, and she responded with disgust as if we should’ve known that menu back-to-front. Would definitely recommend this place to others as our waitress and the other bartenders were wonderful, but I would also make sure they know to avoid the B* behind the bar. She does not fit in with the rest of this magnificent restaurant.

Luke's Lobster Penn Quarter: what do users think?

Angela Edwards: Family and I were visiting from Texas and all of us wanted to try out first lobster roll. Luke’s did not disappoint. Lots of lobster on all of our rolls. Derek was our cashier who suggested the lobster butter trifle roll. So yummy! Derek was polite and patient with us crazy Texans. We have not met many people like that here in DC so far unfortunately. We will have to go grab another roll before we leave. Yummy!
Response: Thank you so much for the great review! We are happy you all enjoyed your food!

Kitty L: Loved the lobster, the bisque and the refreshing poppyseeds slaw. Everything was perfect. We'll I didn't like the oyster biscuits that came with the soup but I thought the soup was perfect on its own anyway. Highly recommended! Will definitely go whenever I'm back in the US!
Response: Thank you so much for choosing Luke's as your meal!

A.C.: Delicious lobster rolls, I got the lobster roll flight. The spicy mala one was my favorite. The clam chowder was pretty average; I would pass next time. The staff were helpful and friendly. There is minimal seating so a large group might be better getting it to go.
Response: Afternoon A.C. , Thank you for the 5 star love on Google!!!! Mala has become our favorite as well here . I would suggest maybe the lobster bisque next time versus clam chowder. We wish were a bigger shack too.. Have an amazing week !!!!! Thank you, Team Luke's Lobster at Penn Quarter

Leslie Pinto: Super yummy and PRICEY!Overall experience was great. I will come back with a bigger wallet 😅As April 2022 I paid $30 for 3 tiny (2 oz) but delicious trio
Response: Hey Leslie!! Thank you for your great review! We look forward to welcoming you back next time to try some of our other delicious menu items! Thanks again!

Chris Dalton: Was craving a lobster roll since I can't get them where I live. This did not disappoint. I got Luke's trio: a crab, a shrimp and a lobster roll. It really hit the spot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A little small, so if you are going with a big group may have to get it to go.
Response: Chris, thank you for your great review! We are happy to hear you enjoyed the trio! We love suggesting that to our first time guest. Great way to sample our menu. Thank you again and we hope to see you in the future!

David Porter: Lobster was excellent and clam chowder was really good. Wish I would have ordered more of the clam chowder. It is pricey but the price is very comparable to market price for lobster. Only recommendation would be to add a sour dough bowl option for clam chowder. Staff was super helpful and friendly.
Response: Thank you so much for choosing Luke's as your meal!

JG Mash: Unlike Connecticut lobster roll, Luke’s lobster meat is chilled giving contrast to the warm bread. Overall, really superb lobster roll. Definitely going back
Response: JG, thank you for taking the time to leave us this great review. I strongly agree with everything you said. The contrast of the buttery toasted bun to the chilled seafood is wonderful! We look forward to seeing you again!

Alex Karayan: Great tasting trio!3 great flavors in a nice snack bite size.Fresh lobster (delivered Tues & Thurs), shrimp and crab. They add butter on the side and i asked for seasoning on the dide as well.
Response: Thank you so muck Alex .. It was great meeting you and talking over everything you wanted to know. Looking forward to you both stopping in again .. Team Luke's Lobster Penn Quarter

Brandy Honeycutt: My lobster roll was pretty good but I don’t prefer my lobster to be chilled I prefer it warm, maybe next time I ask for them to heat it up if possible. The employees did not seem very friendly or polite but I guess everyone has a bad day sooner or later.
Response: Good morning. Unfortunately, here at Luke's we sell Maine style rolls. That mean that the seafood is served between 50 and 55 degrees. We do not heat up the seafood as it has already been cooked and chilled. If we were to heat it up again, the seafood would not be good quality. i do apologize about the guest interaction and will have a talk with the staff.

Ashlee Olson: Tonight just husband and I tried this place for the first time. We instantly felt welcomed by Darrick (sp?) and Ashley. We couldn’t decide on soups so we were instantly given samples (we purchased one of each). We orders the trio rolls and it was the best decision ever! They were DELICIOUS!! We had a fantastic experience because of Ashley and Darrick! When we come back to DC, we will be visiting them first!!! Thank you both for the wonderful hospitality and great food!!!
Response: Afternoon Ashlee Olson , Thank you for the 5 stars on Google!!!! They are a dynamic duo and we are happy they we there to show you the Penn Quarter love !! Not sure who won the card game , but we are looking forward to your next visit to DC... Stay safe !! HAPPY SATURDAY!!! Thank you, Heather Jones AGM DC/MD Luke's Lobster

Ivy City Smokehouse: what do users think?

Naturally E: Unfortunately, as much as I wanted to love this place, I couldn't. The food had no seasoning and the drinks were blah. The outside environment has a great vibe! But, everything else was wayyyyy below standards. I wouldn't recommend this place.

D P: This is my first time at this spot. Look it was some good food. The only the Lox and bagel is better at another local place but that's here nor there right now. However the price for the food is amazing. The portion sizes are good enough to fill you up and it had me full. I did try the wings, salmon burger, po boy, and chicken sandwich. This far I'm liking it. So I have to come back for more. The staff was really friendly and the ambience is nice as well. There's a fire pit outside that people can sit at. Also the parking was not too bad. Remember it's DC and parking will always be an issue. I'm definitely going to go back and update my review.

Sasha J: This is my third or fourth time at this restaurant and I will say the food is amazing and consistent with taste & portion size. At times the service is a little bit hectic but if you’re patient it’s worth it. My go to dish are the garlic shrimp which is phenomenal and the Bronzino stuffed with crab meat. The cob salad is humongous!

Tracey H.: I enjoy this place after work. I only sit at the bar so I'm not sure how the waiters are but the bartenders are great. The food is always good. I usually get the fried shrimp, crab cake sandwich or fish tacos. My coworkers enjoy the spot too.

Nicole D: Went here for brunch on a whim looking for something solid to fuel up after a long run and this was it! The crab Benedict was delicious and the Santa Fe bowl had so much flavor!! I was a little surprised that they didn’t have any more brunchy type cocktails, but I took it as a sign to just hydrate. I’m sure we’ll be going back!!
Response: Thank you Nicole. We appreciate your taking the time to write such a nice review. Please come again!

Bella H: Super friendly server great music nice atmosphere salmon was cooked to perfection. I really didn’t care for the potatoes but the asparagus was amazing presentation was everything food and drinks came out fast on time & super HOT and exactly how we ordered them Thanks Gator for the recommendation also Ivy city market has Maryland blue crab ask for Gator

Tim Jacox: Delicious! Had a reservation but it didn't seem necessary although ymmv. Service was quick and friendly I had the smoked Hot Turkey breast sandwich - pictured - and my wife had the smash burger - not pictured. Both were presented excellently on arrival and were scrumptious. We also ordered the smokehouse fish board - 5 of their s oked fish dishes, 2 bagles, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, capers, cream cheese spread- for a snack after the Dropkick Murphy's show which was perfect for a late night treat. Prices were nominal and fair for the DC area - we spent about $75 US. I definitely recommend.

Christina Zizzo: Holy smokes. The crab cake... So insanely delicious. By far the best I've ever had. Good cocktail options and the food tastes so fresh. Had the crab cakes (obviously) with brussel sprouts (also the best!) And the fish sandwich with blue catfish, so so good. Even the french fries tasted fresh! Can't go wrong here. Unless you don't even come and then you're doing life very wrong. PS our server William was so attentive and caring and deserves all the raises #williamformanager

Jennifer Thomas: 4-stars is solely based upon the portion size of the salmon sandwich, salmon portion was tiny. Dined here on Saturday 9/26, we wanted to sit outside but was told that no tables were available, no biggie we sat inside. Just when we thought we had been forgotten our waiter swooped in and gave us EXCELLENT service. As previously mentioned I had the salmon sandwich with a side of spinach instead of the fries, hubby had the po-boy with fried oysters (bread was too thick to actually bite like a sandwich and it is half size), fries and a side of mac n' cheese. Friends had the fish tacos, then fish and chips, we all had rum punch to wash it down. All of the food was very tasty, seasoned well, cooked just right, temperature on point. The rum punch was sooooooo good we had 2 a piece. Definitely would recommend this spot and will be back when we're in the neighborhood.

Michelle Coleman: Went on Valentines Day and the food was great! They had a special V-Day menu I had the red snapper. It was so good. My husband had the ribs they were delicious 😋 both meals came with 2 sides and everything was flavorful. Definitely going back! The price was also very good. $35 for each meal.
Response: Thanks so much Michelle. Happy to hear you had a nice Valentine's with us!

Hank's Oyster Bar: what do users think?

Jesse Rodgers: This seafood joint on the Wharf has fresh and appropriately seasoned food. The fried oysters are very delicious. The Ahi tuna bowl was one of the best I've had during my travels across the country. I highly recommend Hanks, if you happen to be in D.C.

Justin Tholl: Wife got fried oysters, gave them an 8/10. I'm not much of a fish guy, so I got the short rib which was $31 and not all that great. Mac and cheese was good and if you like old bay the fries were decent. Can see why it's popular, but not my jam!

M J: Delicious seafood with great service down by the Wharf. I loved my fried oysters and subbed the fries for red beets for a small upcharge. I looked up from my meal to ask my husband how his crab cake sandwich was but he had already inhaled it 🤣. The place was clean. We waited only 20 minutes instead of the 45 minutes we were quoted. Great to see all the LGBTQIA support here and in the Wharf District for PRIDE month. Only suggestion is that the hostesses need to speak much LOUDER since it is a loud, vivacious, fun restaurant. Not a place for 2 soft-spoken young women.

Kellen McInerny: Great location with high quality oysters that are local to The East Coast. Lots of delicious fried sandwich options with good thick fries. If you find yourself walking along Wharf St and crave some seafood this is my first choice. Prices are fair and the restaurant is perfect for a sunny summer day. If your goal is seafood and you're willing to drive then I wouldn't make this my first choice. The bartenders are attentive and quick.

Audrey: Mind you, I came after seeing the google description saying I had to wait 15 minutes, but the front desk told me to wait an hour...well, the food was good, the oysters were especially fresh and sweet, the seafood pasta was good, kids The fried fish in the set menu is 100% recommended. The only thing that drove me crazy was that it was a Saturday dinner, they were busy and the service was slow...but anyway, I think I'll be back on days when I'm not busy!

Sun Lee: Pros: -Fried oysters & lobster dip was great. -Fried oysters dip was amazing -Awesome views of pier/ marina/ people watching spot from outside tent area. Cons: -Outside seating area can be extremely loud. - bartenders are trash; making half a drink and filing the rest up with ice

Miguel Curiel: Top 3 favorite places in DC. First time going was in May, had rated with 5 stars then and it still holds now. - the place is always full of life which makes for a fun time out (therefore, it is highly recommended you reserve beforehand). - food is extremely delicious. From the fresh oysters to the pasta and the crab rolls, you will not be disappointed. - service is sooooo kind and attentive. Special shout-out to Christopher! - it is on Wharf street so you get a priceless walk + view. - prices do tilt towards the expensive side, so be prepared.

Kyle Lennon: Oh my lord the Rockefeller is AMAZING! Best I’ve ever had compared to Legal Seafood in Boston and Devon Seafood in Hershey. BEST! It was absolutely delightful I ordered a second round of them. Fabulous cocktails too, fast attentive service as well!

Jeremy Andra: There are three Hank's in the D.C. area and they all have amazing oysters. Also can't go wrong with a Lobster roll. I never miss the chance to visit Hank's when in D.C. This location is on the water and gas incredible views

Min Cheng: Delicious food, nice view, great service. The gentleman who wears Boston Strong wristband is charming and pleasant, made our dining experience more enjoyable.

Pop's SeaBar: what do users think?

Xyan Rose: This place is awesome. Seafood is really good and beer is affordable. It's like a seafood dive bar. I think it's cool. Seems like everyone knows each other. Will come back.
Response: 🔥🔥Thank you!

Ryan Evrist: This place is the best! Food is great. Drinks are awesome. Pete is the best bartender ever. They’ll give you a plastic bag to take your leftovers, and then you can walk around Adam’s Morgan with a pocket full of fried goodies. I’ll have the pocket nugs to go, good sir!

Jon Psotka: This place straddles an interesting line between a community neighborhood bar with pinball and a really excellent boardwalk-style seafood joint. The oysters are great, and if they have smelts you need to get them. The burger is also exceptionally good.

Robert Elliott: Love Pop's! Just stopped in for a happy hour beer and half dozen oysters today, thankful they're still open. Love nothing more than watching a nats game and grabbing some beers and food at the bar here.

Tom: Super friendly service. Feel like a local even when you’re from out of town. Good beer, good pinball, good food. What more could you want?

Lauren Sachs: Honestly, my favorite food in the area. Probably my favorite burger of all time. I've never had a lackluster meal from here, everything down to their corn and coleslaw is fabulous. But seriously, how is their corn so good in February? Their lobster dinner is great, their fried chicken is awesome, their shrimp are delicious, and the sauce they use is worth asking for extra. Need to go back and try the corn dog bites!!
Response: Thank you so so much. We appreciate your kind words.

Steve Young: Loved our time at Pop's. Great fresh oysters in a laid back environment surrounded by the friendliest of people. Outdoor patio a bonus on a beautiful day.

Peter Maccario: This place is incredible! Super fun casual place but in the best way which feels like you walked into a friends joint. Service was so friendly and a real treat to sit at the bar with great food and drinks. Thursday specials were on point - with $3.99 fish tacos and then $14 for a half dozen oysters and cava - the best! Highly recommend checking this place out and stopping by for a quick drink or a great meal.

Amy Smith: Food was good, staff was attentive, atmosphere was small, but nice. Had the fish of the day. Overall, great!

Fabrizio Goria: If you are looking for a super friendly seafood bar, this is your place. The bartender is great, so helpful. The service is, as I said, friendly. And the food, super tasty and delicious. I had the crab cake sandwich, with fries and coleslaw (one of the best I've ever had). Definitely a wonderful spot.

Hot N Juicy Crawfish: what do users think?

Branden Bateman: I came here with 3 friends for our first time trying crawfish. The food was delicious and the portion sizing was respectable. The staff is very kind and friendly. They remembered our names throughout the 2 hours we were there, which added a loving feeling. The seafood bags come with a variety of seasoning and spice options - even if you can’t handle a lot of spice, you can still have a well seasoned meal. Overall, I recommend this place and my friends and I plan to come back sometime after the holidays :)
Response: Hello Branden, Thank you for your positive review! We truly appreciate your feedback and are so happy to hear you enjoyed the experience! We hope to serve you again soon! Sincerely,

Aurora Martinez: Hot N Juicy sauce at mild spice level is our usual order and it is hard to stop eating once we get started. Because I only have ordered takeout I haven't had much interaction with the staff but whoever was on the front
Response: Hello, Thank you for your positive review! We appreciate your feedback and hope to serve you again soon! Thank you, HNJ Management

Ryan Downing: This was so nice. We will be coming back. Our server was awesome, food was hot and the atmosphere was comfortable. Bring your wallet. Or a friend with money. Only bad part is, the parking sucks. But over all, let's do it again.

Lillian Long: Sam who was our waitress was just a delight! He was attentive, polite and extremely helpful with explaining the menu since it was our first time. I will definitely be back for more delish calamari, juicy Cajun and corn.
Response: Hello, Thank you for your positive review! We appreciate your feedback and hope to serve you again soon! Thank you, HNJ Management

Rose by any other name: It was so delicious. Hard to find parking. But we got seated and served quickly. It was delicious and the sauce we used was the hot n juicy sauce. It was amazing!!! My sister got the chicken and fries and that was really good too. We were so impressed especially my parents who are from the south near Louisiana and they know good seafood. Nothing compares to downbdouth seafood but this is the closest we've come!

Asia Garrison: Wow!!!!! That’s all I can say. I am not one to write reviews unless I truly feel the place exceeded my expectations or they did not. This place was BOMB! I had to ask them was my grandma or great aunts back in the kitchen frying that catfish. It was so crispy, pipping hot, AND SEASONED!!!!!! Seasoned seasoned for all those who wondered. The service was fast. We were seated immediately and within 15 minutes our food was out. I haven’t left the restaurant yet and I’m typing the review. This place gets a solid 9/10. Anything above 7 is worth trying but a 9???!!! You have to try it! The option for Hawaiian rolls were a good touch! Because fish with bread is a hit. Only thing that I needed were pickles. If you know, you KNOW!! prices were great too!
Response: Hello, Thank you for your positive review! We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to serve you again soon! Thank you, HNJ Management

Joyce Thomas: The Po’Boy and sweet potato fries were the best I’ve ever eaten. The shrimp were small, plentiful and tender and juicy. The service was A+++. Thx to Zachary H!
Response: Hello, Thank you for your positive review! We truly appreciate your feedback and are glad you enjoyed Zach’s service! We hope to serve you again soon! Thank you, HNJ Management

Mohammad Islam: Delicious food. Their sauce r unique. I love their food.
Response: Hello, Thank you for your positive review! We are glad you enjoyed your experience. We appreciate your feedback and hope to serve you again soon! Thank you, HNJ Management

JB Davis: If you visit DC and like Crawfish and Shrimp you have to visit this place! We were seated immediately and provided a written menu eventhough they have contactless menu option. We did not have to wait more than a minute before our waitress to take our drink order. Our order was brought out within 10 minutes of ordering and it was worth every minute of the wait! 1lb of Steamed Shrimp with drawn butter and the Get Your Feet Wet menu selection. For $40 you get 1lb of fresh crawfish, 1lb of shrimp, 2 potatoes, 2 corn nibblets, and 1dz sizable pieces of andouille sausage. I chose to have my Get Your Feet Wet prepared in Medium in Hot & Juicy Sauce and it was a great choice! I thoroughly enjoyed the whole meal! It was more than enough for us in one sitting and we had to take some home. You are provided with a bibb and plastic gloves to protect your hands and close from all the juices you'll be slinging while eating. While I did not partake, there is a well stocked bar and ample beer selection. Professional and courteous staff rounded out this overall great eating experience. Again, a MUST visit location when in DC.
Response: Hello, Thank you for your positive review! We truly appreciate your feedback. We hope to serve you again soon! Thank you, HNJ Management

ShaVaughn Washington: This was my first time at dining at this restaurant! We dad an excellent experience. Great service and the food was very good!

Fish in the Neighborhood: what do users think?

Lorenzo Holmes: Glad this establishment is still around even with all the fancy changes in the area. Nice to have a taste of real cooking that serves up food that reminds me of grandma's. Fried fish always on point. Simply put, if you're uptown and want to get some good food, can't really go wrong here at all. I didn't even get a chance to post any photos because the food was that bomb. Quick Update, was so good that we had to go back again. This time for fried Catfish and fried Trout. Pictures added from 2nd visit.

Reshawner Benjamin: The owner gives great customer service and the food is quite delicious. We now buy both grilled and fried fish when we go because we can't choose. I'm don't even eat shrimp but theirs are fried so beautifully I had to try them at least once, I was not disappointed. This is definitely one of DC's best hidden treasures and his fish is even fresher than the wharf!

Gary Wiggan: I'm a Cook, living, working, and have fed a plethora of mouths here in the DMV for more than 35 years, I have prepared some the best Seafood for my Family, friends and clients, but, when I don't feel like cooking, and I want the best Seafood around, I go to Fish in the Hood. Always on their Game. A bit pricey, but worth it. Love You Guys!!! 2 Thumbs up!!!!😀

Ruthette Jackson: First you now have to call in or order at window from outside and wait outside as well, then they only except cash which is very inconvenience and not good to be handling cash outside in the area. Way over priced for 3 pieces of fish with mac&cheese, and greens for $24 !!!! The Mac & cheese was very salty and bland with only cheddar cheese dried up through out the Mac. Green was soft but know flavor. I’m saying this to say, not good for business and wasn’t worth the money I paid. Never again ✌🏾

Kevin Sneed: The fish was great and the sides of mac & cheese and greens were good. The cashier was very patient with me when ordering. The only drawback was that you had to pay in cash but this was not a problem for they had a ATM at the establishment.

Gordon Gent: Great neighborhood spot for fresh seafood that you can have fried or broiled. The catfish was great and the onion rings were really good and fresh. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. Limited seating and most orders are carry out.

R W: Service was a little confused, my porgi was very poor, although the perch was really good. So I think I try this place out again I received my food and it was undercooked. So I returned it and upon returning the undercooked meal I was met with a very nasty attitude. Will not be returning to this establishment buy at your own risk.

Tanya R: Mango sauce. Never heard of this and it should be bottled and sold:) Whiting and fries were my menu choices and I enjoyed it (with the mango sauce)! Friendly owner and staff. First time customer; won't be my last visit to Fish In the Hood!

Nikki D.: Well first let me just start off by saying, I have been going to Fish n Da Hood since i was working at Howard University, over 15 years. They have been ON point since day one. NOT one time have i ever been unsatisfied. Me and my family trulyyy love this place. Everything is fresh, and fried nice and golden brown. They are so friendly and welcoming when you go there. See you all tomorrow. :)

ViewsMagazine andTV: Ol' Bill. Been eating here for at least close to 20 years and haven't had a bad meal yet. Try the broiled porgy, half pound of broiled shrimp on top with a side of collard greens. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Old Ebbitt Grill: what do users think?

Natalia Mednikov: There are straightforward American-style food. This restaurant is best known for its huge old-school oyster bar—think lots of dark wood, brass fixtures, and big mirrors. That oysters was fantastic and fresh. We’ve enjoyed also cheese sampler, fried calamari and baked oysters. Everything they do is absolutely delicious. The service was very fast and friendly. We were happy to choose this great restaurant to end our busy day in Washington, D.C.

Tiberiu Hrihorciuc: Loved the experience! Tasted a dozen oysters and each one was more delicious than the other. Wine is very fairly priced. Saw it more expensive in some New York wine discount stores. The fish was such a huge portion when they split it in two plates we told them that we did not order 2 plates but to our surprise that was a full plate. If you get a chance to go to happy hours for oysters don't hesitate!
Response: Thank you, Tiberiu!

Aditya Karandikar: Had an awesome time here as a late night/ early next day stop. The food was quite nice and fairly refined, especially at such a late hour! The atmosphere was popping as well which made it more enjoyable. Service was very friendly and they had great oysters. Fresh complimentary bread never hurts either…

Sam M: This place is one of the more famous restaurants in DC. I visited this spot during brunch and it was packed. I would definitely recommend making a reservation for both weekend dinner and brunch services. I started with New England clam chowder and some salad dish. For entrees, I got eggs benedict and catfish. All the dishes I ordered were pretty good. But, I definitely enjoyed their desserts more even though I was pretty full before it. Their key lime pie and salted caramel bread pudding were both amazing! Staffs were very accommodating and attentive during the whole service. I’m planning to visit this restaurant and will get some oysters and burgers next time. I heard they are pretty good. I definitely recommend this place to celebrate any special occasions.

Suzi Figueroa: Wow, wow and wow! A friend recommended this establishment to me when I asked for dining recommendations for my upcoming DC trip. I am so glad I listened. The warm and inviting ambiance matched the service. And the food? Oh my goodness. Delicious. My SO ordered meatloaf. Who knew meatloaf could take on a such an extraordinary presentation.
Response: Suzi, Thank you for visiting Old Ebbitt Grill and leaving a great review! We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your experience and we hope to have you back again the next time you're in town.

Mary H: What a DC institution. I've been here numerous times taking "out of town" guests but always failed to write a review... This place is busy and crowded... so make a reservation. Service is attentive and friendly. Try to get a seat in the atrium, much nicer and brighter. *turkey club-generous portions of turkey. It was good and the fries were nice and hot. *salad greens- tasty, I wanted something light. *calamari-nice and crispy. They have a good selection on their menu, we just weren't that hungry. It's kinda the place to go when you visit DC.
Response: Thank you, Mary!

Amy Workman: If you're worried that this a nice place turned tourist trap that cuts corners, worry not. We had a fantastic experience and the food was superb. Our server was in his 9th year here and I wished he could've just sat and talked with us all night. They were wonderfully accommodating and welcoming of our kids, which you definitely can't say about a lot of places. Some places know that if the kids are happy the parents are more than happy to get another round and more dishes. And then when we're sans-kids someday, we'll definitely be back to sit at one of the beautiful bars. We had the walrus raw bar which was perfect for us never having had raw oysters. They did a little of each kind they had that night and I had no idea oysters could taste so different. We had the mussels, kids mac and cheese, and sausage pasta dish. The pasta was house made and the sauce creamy and spicy. So good. After dinner we walked it off around the White House. I've spent much more at restaurants and not gotten half as much food or nearly as good as service, so even though it was our most expensive meal in DC it was also our best value. Definitely a must-go in DC.

Elaine Viegas: AMAZING! There is no other word to describe it. Since we arrived until we paid the service was perfect. I couldn’t be more happy for their food, service and kindness on my birthdays lunch. We didn’t mention that it was my birthday but they saw on my profile and as soon as I arrived they asked to confirm and no only brought my desert with a candle and a cute chocolate happy birthday place on the top. Our server was amazing, she arrived singing happy birthday, was very classy and really surprised me. Thank you for the excellence in your service. BTW the food it’s top quality, my oysters and shrimps were fresh abs really tasteful.

Jelena M: Great food, great price, great service! The waiter we had was so nice, knowledgeable, and friendly! The calamari was very good, but watch out for the spicy peppers in it . My salad was yummy! I usually never order salads, but I am glad I did as the dressing was citrusy and refreshing! They also give warm bread and butter while you wait 😍
Response: Jelena, Thank you for stopping by Old Ebbitt Grill and leaving a great review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you back again soon!

Matthew Hanna: This was a pretty cool place to eat. It is so old but very nice inside. Lots of preserved animals I didn't expect to see like sea turtles, walrus and more. The food was great and I really liked the drinks. You can still visit and get a really good burger and fries for like $18 or you can go all out and pay $100+ for a super delicious entree. Either way the alcohol is good.
