Del Mar: what do users think?

Genesis Marrero: I was truly impressed with this dining experience. We flew to DC for my birthday week and had my birthday dinner here. Luis served us and he was definitely one of the best servers we have ever had wait on us (and we are huge foodies so that is saying something). He was so attentive and just knew exactly how to guide the dining experience based on what the guests is wanting out of their night whether they know specifically or not. We let him take the wheel with all of the knowledgeable recommendations and we were so happy from start to finish. We came back for our last meal in DC and again, Amber served us, and again we were not disappointed. She was so sweet and also had wonderful recommendations and made sure all of our needs were met before we said goodbye and hopped on a flight. Luckily Luis was also there and he remembered us which made us happy because he was also so memorable for us. He was so nice and sent us our new favorite drink that he enlightened us to - the carajillo. I don’t think you could go wrong with a single thing on this menu. The rest of the staff was also very efficient and everything just seemed to flow so smoothly with the teamwork here. I can’t wait to go back someday!

R: This was my first time going to Del Mar and the food was phenomenal! We went as a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday. It was my first time trying octopus and it was really good. The parking in the garage was $45 since I stay for 4+ hours which was a downside for the night so it might be better to find street parking.

J. Ivy Smith: Food was AMAZING! This should get. Michelin Star. There paella is the best I have had. I want to say there paella and cheesecake is similar to José Andre. Service was excellent and our waiter reminded us of actor John Mulaney. I def recommend this place and def Michelin Star worthy.

Black Star Dust: Absolutely stunning place. Great service. Top tier experience. Everything was a ten. The Seafood Paella is delicious. Highly recommend that dish. It comes in different sizes for sharing. It was my bday so they brought out gratis champagne and this cheesecake that was literally the one of the most delicious desserts to grace the planet. Don’t even get me started on the churros! Amazing! I also did come in with a VIP who goes there regularly so that surely may have enhanced the experience to 10 stars!!

Alya's Aura: The food was SO delicious and of course the service was top notch. Our waiter (I believe his name is Michael) was so nice and helpful and made some great recommendations. I definitely suggest leaving space for dessert because their little dulce de leche dark chocolate cakes with the horchata ice cream was beyond amazing! The perfect end to a great meal 👌🏾

Daisy Gutierrez: Food was good. Not great but good. The service was great! This wine was my fave. A little overpriced only because I feel at those prices the food should taste better. They have a great selection though! I had the seafood paella it lacked flavor. My friend had some green rice thing, neither of us raved about our main courses. The patatas bravas are good but could use more of the brava sauce.

Fiola Mare: what do users think?

Richard Holst: Elegant and delicious. Everything is gears towards an excellent experience. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. The restaurant has many quiet and corners with the perfect atmosphere. It is well organized and very clean, every inch has amazing details. The food and drink selection is extensive and everything we had was prepared to perfection. The views of the water are amazing and there are plenty of things to walk to in the area. We will be back here often.

Dario Camilo Barros Viñas: 5 stars for real in every aspect. It has both a very fancy area indoor and a fancy yet relaxed area in the patio. The service was amazing, the food was superb, the cocktails were delicious and generous. Canver the manager was very kind and served us the calamari complementary make us feel even better served! I didn’t know the Branzino taste this good until I tried it here. We were only two so we couldn’t try more plates but do yourself a favor and try Fiola Mare!

Christopher Gillespie: All about the dining experience here, they go above and beyond. Did the bottomless brunch with amazing views. Brunch at this level of execution will be very tough to match. The blue fin ahi could be best bites of 2022 to date. The scallop crudo was melt in the mouth. Worth the price of admission.

Pe Lin (Cilibluebird): A five star seafood restaurant that deserves the five star. Great for special events minimum 50 USD per per person, but well deserved. Hakan was our server and he made this experience exceptional. Pasta’s are excellent. Georgetown next to water. Outside seating is great in the evenings of hot summers.

Roz Manning: Fabulous venue for our intimate wedding dinner with family. The Mermaid Room and adjoining patio were perfect. The appetizers were delicious, dinner was delectable and service superb.

Mike: Easter brunch was amazing. Staff, as always, is fantastic.Intro: watercress soup and the other dish white asparagus.Mains: blue crab omelette and Australian lamb.Glad to see that a packed restaurant. Make reservations!

Tash M: Had a private dinner here and it was an exceptional experience. The food was lovely, so was the service. Special thanks to Darina for being so attentive and providing an especially memorable experience.

Surfside Taco Stand: what do users think?

C F: Pretty good burritos. Fresh and tasty. I enjoyed my burrito and would try other ones. I deduct 1 star because the price is higher than expected for 1 normal sized burrito and the lettuce/salad was a bit confusing. Also the chairs and tables were pretty dirty when we were there. But overall great sauces and friendly service.

J. W.: Came here for the first time last night and I was very impressed. Good food, quick service and 24 hours… can’t beat that. As you can see the food is seasoned and portioned great. Definitely can see myself returning. That shrimp burrito and street corn is definitely a game changing combo for the nightlife eating.

Shelbie Ammirati: Delicious! Perfect midday lunch for us as we visited DC and rode scooters around town. Perfect amount of food and the food was so good! I got the Nevis and husband got the Rio, both were great!

Petr Tojsl: Delicious tacos! I got the north grill taco, which consisted of well seasoned mahi-mahi, tasty Chipotle sour cream dressing, and pickled vegetables like lettuce and onion. Along with that, came a delicious yellow lime rice. After my meal, The cashier kindly explained to me how they make their tacos, so that I can replicate the recipe at home. This place is slightly pricey, but definitely worth the price in a big city like DC. Also, they have a fine range of tasty hot sauces. Finally, they’re very quick! I got my taco in under five minutes!

Anas Souid: The best Mexican food I had in the US so far; everything was extremely fresh and the ingredients were clearly top quality. Food preparation time is also pretty fast.

Antonio Pena: Great taste good, service is very good, awesome tacos, highly recommended if you are at the Wharf in DC

Wei-Yu Jen: The seafood is fresh, and I like the sauce.I would prefer the omelette to be softer, but still tastes ok.

Steve O'Connor: Cute seafood dining with a great patio. Not a long menu but the choices you have are exceptional. Food and drinks are excellent.

Nya H: Had a wonderful evening because the servicer shared with us his recommendations based on what we like, the food presentation was magnificent and the drinks was strong enough...😉

Viviane Del Pizzo: It was really good. I had the mussels and they were delicious. The mussel appetizer is a great size for kids. The wait for the food was not long. I really recommend this place for dinner.

liv hintlian: Hidden gem honestly. Not one to write reviews but wow I was impressed. Was walking by and decided to try it for brunch, delicious and affordable brunch menu!!

Tony and Joe's Seafood Place: what do users think?

Celal Gulluoglu: It was a great time and I was so fully satisfied with the seafood. The best dish is the mussels. It made me feel so alive. The only letdown was the price for the food. In my opinion, the price wasn’t worth it. Last thing that was amazing was the sight of the river.

David Arrimadas: One of the best fish places in DC. Very kind staff and extremely good quality. The mussels are delicious and the crab soup is really tasty. Very nice place also with good terrace to enjoy if the temperature allow you to do it. Highly recommended!

Vy H.: Great location for drinks and light food by the waterfront! It’s always busy packed on the weekends but was lucky this past Sunday for a table outdoors! Service is great too. Seafood wise, top favorites were the Hot Crab Dip, Steamed Top Neck Clams and the Chilled Seafood Tower!

K Santos: Great service, they have outdoor dining which is great. Food is great, we had burgers, clam chowder and their fish. Big main servings you can share. They have a great detail of having sanitizers in each table to make sure you clean your hands. Great view too right in front of the potomic river.

김서진: One of the best fishes place. I enjoyed fresh sea food. I love this place, outdoor mood♥️

R Howell: It was my birthday weekend and a friend tteated me. We got seated right away. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside. Our waitress was gery busy but took excellent care of us. The atmosphere was nice. We were right next to the water but protected with awning to block the sun. The food was very good. I had shrimp cocktail with a side caesar salad. My friend had the sangria and said it was really good. She never finishes her drinks but finshed the sangria in record time! She liked her old bay wings and said french fries were tasty!

Armida (Justmida): Food was excellent! Mahi-mahi tacos, shrimp alpastor , fried camari all very good!

Dolly J Jackson: OMGoodness!!! Why? Why was the food so Bomb! I can not wait to go back to the DMV area- I will definitely be visiting here again. GOD willing life spared. Delicioso!!!

Raymond Zeigler: Great view of the Potomoc River. We ate waterside! The food and service was awesome! A lite shower went through while we were eating but we had a patio umbrella over us so we stayed dry. Great experience!

T Johnson: The customer service here was really good. That is so important for me. My friend and I were visiting DC from Florida and went here as a part of our girls trip worth our daughters. Parking is free on Sunday so that was a plus. Our waitress was nice and friendly and did a great job with answering our questions and making recommendations. My MaiTai was awesome and THE FOOD WAS SO FRESH AND cooked perfectly. I would love to go back again to try something else.

Zerah Kawami: Amazing fish restaurant with many options on the menu and lovely restaurant decor. The menu is smaller but well crafted and the wines and cocktails were superb. The grilled fish was absolutely delicious and our party got the mahi mahi and salmon plates. We also got the crab cakes which were a delicious comfort food. We finished with a mango key lime pie that we ate a bit too fast before I could get a picture as it was that delicious.

M J: Really enjoyed the food. Buffalo shrimp did not disappoint. Risotto balls I will it was something else with them but if you like friend cheese and the tomato sauce does it for you then it was perfect. Wish the soft crab was a little bigger. Friends and I enjoyed will definitely go back for another brunch date.

Alvaro H. Torres: Great service but overpriced. You are getting a good service and freshly made to order food. The grilled fish was amazing and the grilled octopus.

Connor Sargent: Food was amazing, fresh, and service was great. Very good seasoning on our dishes, presentation made the meals even more enjoyable to eat. And $1 local oysters were delicious. Definitely coming back here every time we visit DC.

Simon T Katan: Very good fish choise. I had swardfish and it was delicious. Service wss good. Recommended in DC area for grilled fish. Also a very nice ambient.

Henrietta: LET ME TELL YOU!! Came in here on a whim and the food was ON POINT. I got the mixed seafood skewer with brussel sprouts and the fish tasted like it was straight out the ocean. Grilled to perfection… I thought I was in a Caribbean island! The bartender Tony was perfect. Super friendly and quick service. I literally inhaled the entire plate before I realized I should have taken a photo. Go. You won’t be disappointed.

Old Ebbitt Grill: what do users think?

Natalia Mednikov: There are straightforward American-style food. This restaurant is best known for its huge old-school oyster bar—think lots of dark wood, brass fixtures, and big mirrors. That oysters was fantastic and fresh. We’ve enjoyed also cheese sampler, fried calamari and baked oysters. Everything they do is absolutely delicious. The service was very fast and friendly. We were happy to choose this great restaurant to end our busy day in Washington, D.C.

Aditya Karandikar: Had an awesome time here as a late night/ early next day stop. The food was quite nice and fairly refined, especially at such a late hour! The atmosphere was popping as well which made it more enjoyable. Service was very friendly and they had great oysters. Fresh complimentary bread never hurts either…

Sam M: This place is one of the more famous restaurants in DC. I visited this spot during brunch and it was packed. I would definitely recommend making a reservation for both weekend dinner and brunch services. I started with New England clam chowder and some salad dish. For entrees, I got eggs benedict and catfish. All the dishes I ordered were pretty good. But, I definitely enjoyed their desserts more even though I was pretty full before it. Their key lime pie and salted caramel bread pudding were both amazing! Staffs were very accommodating and attentive during the whole service. I’m planning to visit this restaurant and will get some oysters and burgers next time. I heard they are pretty good. I definitely recommend this place to celebrate any special occasions.

Suzi Figueroa: Wow, wow and wow! A friend recommended this establishment to me when I asked for dining recommendations for my upcoming DC trip. I am so glad I listened. The warm and inviting ambiance matched the service. And the food? Oh my goodness. Delicious. My SO ordered meatloaf. Who knew meatloaf could take on a such an extraordinary presentation.

Elaine Viegas: AMAZING! There is no other word to describe it. Since we arrived until we paid the service was perfect. I couldn’t be more happy for their food, service and kindness on my birthdays lunch. We didn’t mention that it was my birthday but they saw on my profile and as soon as I arrived they asked to confirm and no only brought my desert with a candle and a cute chocolate happy birthday place on the top. Our server was amazing, she arrived singing happy birthday, was very classy and really surprised me. Thank you for the excellence in your service. BTW the food it’s top quality, my oysters and shrimps were fresh abs really tasteful.

Jelena M: Great food, great price, great service! The waiter we had was so nice, knowledgeable, and friendly! The calamari was very good, but watch out for the spicy peppers in it . My salad was yummy! I usually never order salads, but I am glad I did as the dressing was citrusy and refreshing! They also give warm bread and butter while you wait 😍

The Salt Line: what do users think?

Matthew Rathbun: I finally had some Pappy van Winkle! Outstanding location with a beautiful view outside and comfortable setting inside. The menu items are fantastic making it hard to choose just one thing. The clam selection is fantastic, as is the presentation. The clam chowder is very good, but not as good as the other food items that our group purchased. The staff is very friendly, efficient and engaging. The food was terrific and the drinks were perfectly mixed. Great experience and I highly recommend it.

Blue Girl: We were really happy with our first dining experience here. Great food, great ambience, excellent customer service. Fresh seafood, we enjoyed our oysters and drinks were on point. Awesome bartenders. We watched the staff and they were operating really good. Food was served on time. Restroom was also clean. Thank you so much guys. We can’t wait to come back. Beautiful waterfront restaurant.

Joseph Morgan: Lunch/Brunch 2 adults 2 kids $75-100 Great atmosphere and views of the river and new Frederick Douglas bridge. As other mention the oysters are good. The kids menu is good, the crispy fish sandwich is good. The eggs Benedict were good but they over cooked the poached eggs. Great wine and beer list. Great Bloody Mary.

Arshad Sayed: Great Food. Great Ambience. Terrific Service = Worth repeating. Our order—Coddies, 3 fried balls of Cod, mashed potatoes with mustard on a cracker. A lovely appetizer. With just two of us we chose Olive oil poached black bass, with kale and celery root puree.. refined taste just right. And we had the Watermans platter — fried fish, oysters, shrimp, scallops, with generous amounts of fries and colesaw. Sharing the two dishes for the entree was sufficient. Just the Black Bass might not have been enough for one so the combination of the two worked out just fine. The food was served hot and the service impeccable! Seated outside, with the burners, sipping sweet Italian vermouth to down it all and and watching the lights of the bridge shimmering in the water, while finishing off the pineapple pudding ( the rum glaze was a tad bit too strong for our taste) fighting for the last piece of pudding 😀 was about perfect! All this for $110 with tax. Unfortunately the star system means that this rating would fall on the upper end between 4-5 and I don’t give 5 stars anymore.

Monique Diop: Nice space, easy to get to ( uber not sure of parking) food fresh, delicious and interesting.. Seafood Bratwurst was good. We ate outdoors. with warm heat lamps near a pink lighted bridge! #FDMB

The Oceanaire Seafood Room: what do users think?

Maya Bryant: Went here for dinner to celebrate my birthday with friends. They were really great at accomplishing a large group of 11. Service was a little bit slow, but that is okay since there was so many of us. Everyone really enjoyed their food and drinks. I ordered the king crab and creamed corn, both were very delicious. The sangrias were also a hit if you like sweet drinks. Just be aware that cake cutting is $5 PER SLICE. yikes. At least they gave me the slice with my name on it.

Kyle Lennon: Oceanaire is certainly a class act in fine dining, our meal was absolutely superb. The cocktails were very strong handed and delicious, our server even made one himself. He was an incredible and attentive server that I will certainly be requesting next time. The swordfish, outstanding. The baked Alaska was truly a moment to remember to top it all off. Valet parking was spot on too. 👌🏻🥂

Christopher Gillespie: We had an amazing dining experience thanks to Carlos and the support staff. No glass was even close to empty and attention to detail on every dish. I got the whole fried snapper and it was as tasty as it looks. Great oysters, even had west coast options.

Fallon Valentine: I really enjoyed this place, the oyster omg they were amazing, the mussels were so delicious only disappointment was my steak temperature I asked for medium rare and got a well done steak it was still tasty and tender. I love how the servers take really good care of you.

m weston: Loved the food! Loved the setting and ambiance! Awesome service … BUT super pricey. If you have money to burn then this is your place. Once is enough for me. Lol

Sandra: The place was 5 star service, from the valet to all the staff. Everybody treated our party like VIP. We sit at the bar waited for all my guest to arrive. The bartender treated us like VIP. That service was superb. Who ever trained the staff, has done a magnificent job. The drinks at the bar and the food at the table was excellent. I was celebrating my birthday. This was a excellent choice. I felt like royalty. Prices were expensive, but well worth it. The side choices could be expanded a little bit more of a variety. Seafood choices, I expected a bigger selection, but everybody has cut their menus down. Overall the menu was good. I will definitely go back. It was a delightful pleasure. Thank you, A Birthday Charm Saturday 12/18/21

Clare & Don's Beach Shack: what do users think?

Mischa: Interesting beach-themed restaurant with very nice and interesting decor. The food was okay (had the alligator tail), but was a bit pricey for what it was. The beer selection was okay, too, but could be better. Fairly decent place overall.

Jessa 4Peace: Had dinner there yesterday evening. The weather was great so the fact that they had so much shaded outdoor space to dine was wonderful. We enjoyed the live music as well. Really added to the fun, laid back ambiance. Our food was tasty and very fresh. The menu had lots of options! I am giving 4 stars rather than 5 because you pay extra for guacamole and sour cream...which is fine except that it was too small a portion for the tacos I ordered. I also had 2 cocktails ($10 a pop) and they were very light on the liquor. Other than that, I really enjoyed my experience and will definitely visit again!

Maddy A: Decent food but nice ambience! For a seafood place the seafood is not the best - the fish was dry, the shrimp was okay, and the oysters were just bad (definitely don’t order them). But it’s in northern VA and the prices are equivalent to an actual beach shack so you can’t expect more. However, the place has a nice environment and reminds you of being at the beach! Great for being outdoors and having drinks with friends. Also the hush puppies and fried Oreos (not on the menu) are amazing! Fun place to go to but counterintuitively I would not order seafood here.

Chris Sheft: Great hang out, Fair beer selection with some local choices and good food, entertainment. Loki, casual.

Kelly T: been a couple times. food has always been decent. drinks and ice cream are great! seems like this time they were short staffed, but I also hear COVID is running thru the service industry- so be patient!!!

mark tactay: Attentive friendly staff serving surf and turf meals or bites, on open air tables under tent, the sky or cool dining area. Nice view above Broad St Falls Chrich.

CIRCA at Foggy Bottom: what do users think?

Kelly Crenshaw: We were going to another spot and one of my group said "what about here" as we came out of metro. They had a large party cancel so we were able to get in. Everything was great. Food was fantastic and we all were happy leaving. The mac and cheese might be there best I have ever had. I been thinking about and I can not remember a better bowl of mac and cheese... it was that good.

Jessica R: We decided to come here on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We came for more of a late lunch/early dinner and even though we did not have reservations they still were able to seat us. They did have to seat us in their outdoor area, which was a little chilly but perfectly fine. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The food was great! I got the blackened chicken mango salad and my mom got the barbecue chicken flatbread. Both were very good

Lori Kusterer-Farley: Great dining experience for our family ! Foodie place ! Loved the outdoor tent with heaters. Burger, wings and shrimp salad were amazing! Would definitely return ! Walking distance to a DuPont circle.

Ron Milkowski: Stopped in for a quick drink. Great bartender. Seems like a college crowd. Would definitely be back for dinner. Recommended.

Jessica Morales: This lovely corner is perfect, the menu is not big, but it has a good selection of different options. We had as an appetizer tuna poke nachos, the flavor combination and the fresh tuna was so delicious, and as a entree jambalaya, the spicy was on point and the penne pasta cooked to perfection, my husband ordered a braised short rib, the meat was so tender, the mash potatoes has this smooth texture so perfect. Thank you Michael, great service.

Luke's Lobster Farragut: what do users think?

L Porter: Good for families with outside seating. The customer service was really friendly, and most important, the lobster roll was soooo tasty. Crispy bread, well-seasoned meat, and a sauce that complemented but didn’t overpower the tender lobster. My kids liked the grilled cheese and fries.

Stacey Mae: I was intimidated by the prices, however the service, transparency of sustainable practices, and the lobster roll in itself blew me away. I understand and definitely recommend for those who appreciate intentionality and quality. First bite of the lobster roll will forever be engrained as the best I’ve ever had until further notice. So fresh!!!

Tony Tran: Parking: There were street parking but only if you’re lucky. I recommend getting dropped off or walk there. I’m not from the area and used Apple Maps to walk there. It was a bit of a struggle to find because the map directs you to the entrance on a different side of the block. Ambience: fast pace Service: 4/5 cashier was nice and friendly Food ordered: 5/5 I ordered the Luke Trio to get a little taste of everything. Overall: 5/5 The food portion was decent for its price considering it is seafood. All three in the order I loved the most Lobster, crab, shrimp were exceptional great! I would definitely return here if in the area.

Mr. T: At $30 for a 4oz lobster roll, cole slaw and a soda, it was quite pricey for a week day lunch. However, the food was very nice, the restaurant was impeccable and the service was top notch. You are in the very heart of DC. Blocks away from the White House. The very seat of power in the modern world. So, $30 for lunch is reasonable. While I was there, I did see a few potential customers walk in, get sticker shock and make an about face. About the food: Lobster roll was very good. The roll was a soft Texas toast-type set up that was uniquely cut down the center to form the tasty bun. The lobster was seasoned well in a light dressing that complimented the lobster without overpowering it. The cole slaw was a generous portion. It is a vinegar-based slaw that for me was a bit too much on the sour-acidic side, but I could see the attempt to provide contrast to the lobster and make the lobster sweetness pop. A sweet slaw would have been too much sweet for the palate. The better side choice would have been the kettle chips, but then you’re losing the healthier aspect of the slaw. I thought I had bought a Mexican coke in a neat looking bottle with a different type of label. To my surprise, it didnt taste like Mexican coke or coke or even cola. It had a weird taste. Not bad, just weird. A closer look at the label revealed it was a Mexicane coke from Maine. Figures Maine folk would mess up a cola like that. Was it old bay seasoning I was tasting??? Dont know but wont be ordering it again. The better drink choice would have been a nice ice cold bottle of beer. Blue Moon would have been an excellent choice, but I dont think they have it on site. The restaurant was immaculate. Everything was in order and everything was super clean. The entire staff was exceptional. Very friendly, attentive and respectful. Consider tipping them up front because they will earn it. It’s hard to find dedicated food service staff these days. Job Very Well Done! Every star was EARNED! Bravo!!🙏🏼

Kristen Marie: Service was excellent. Food came out pretty quick. Had lobster rolls, lobster mac and cheese, and clam chowder. All of it was amazing and so fresh!!! Food was a bit pricey so me and my friend split a meal at first but needing up ordering more because it was just that good.

Blue Duck Tavern: what do users think?

Michelle Wiciak: Absolutely phenomenal. This place has the best duck ever. Honestly, everything we had was amazing--from the charcuterie board to the horseradish potatoes to the chocolate peanut butter cake. A well-rounded meal. Not to mention, our waiter did an excellent job at recommending our wine selection and paired beautifully with our dishes. Just an amazing experience and will come back when we are in the city again.

Tilak Kalaria: Blue Duck Tavern in the Park Hyatt is an amazing dining experience. The ambience and the service match the excellent cocktails, wine, and cuisine. You truly get what you pay for and you do pay don’t get me wrong but WoW everything tastes excellent and the service team’s attention to detail elevates the experience. The bone marrow and the duck were my favourite dishes to name a couple. Intriguingly delicious was their house bread with olives! Excellent dining experience that is worth the price. Cheers.

Kim Nguyen: Wow. We were so impressed with the quality of the food here. It’s my first time in DC and after a bit of researching for fine dining restaurant, we decided to try Blue Duck Tavern. I was able to make a last minute reservation for 2 at 8:30pm. Their bone marrow and duck breast were so bomb. The service was amazing as well. Highly recommend!

Jerry’s Adventure: Service, value, flavor it hits all the marks The short ribs were tender and melts in your mouth. And with a smoky flavor 👌 the egg 🥚 is cooked perfectly as it gives a creamy texture to the dish. The biscuit holds up with good structure, but it’s flavor may not be as accentuated as it can be (mostly herbs) and can use a gravy. Pancakes were fluffy as expected and presentation is beautiful 😌 Overall a must go in DC area

Vivian Cheng: Went for lunch. Food is solid, well-executed. We had the cured ocean trout (delicious!) and the kale salad (perfect) with two entrees. Crab cakes are large and delicious. Well seasoned, paired with a salad. I had the confit duck leg. Flavorful, succulent, with a beautiful crispy skin. Sadly, we were too full for dessert. Well-worth a visit.

Tamila Torab Eghdami: It was my first time eating duck. The food was absolutely delicious! 😋 The service was amazing. Too bad we didn’t have time to go back for the second time but next time I’m in Washington definitely we’ll go back. We also tried their apple pie with tea and it was the best apple pie I ever had in my whole life. This restaurant worth your money and time!

Amer Alsamman: Went for our anniversary. The staff were curtious, and friendly. Our waiter went above and beyond to make make our experience great The apple pie was amazing. I had the beef rib which was good but had more fat veins than expected.

Floriana: what do users think?

Nicole R: My husband and I went here for lunch on our anniversary. The food was amazing! I had the tortellini and he had the lasagna. Everything was so fresh and delicious!

Carolyn Rider: I dined here with 2 others for restaurant week. $40 for an appetizer, dinner, and dessert. The appetizers were great - we got the gnocchi, Arancini, and the Salumi. We paired it with some excellent wine. For dinner, the lasagna was 10/10. Super cute vibes, the restaurant is in an old house. Service is excellent.

Julia A.: Good service and amazing (and very creative!) cocktails. The food disappointed a bit (was expecting more flavor and more freshness), but I am willing to try other dishes next time.

Ashley Dobbs: Went out for a date night and was not disappointed. We began the night with cocktails, warm bread and the BEST pesto I’ve ever tasted. We then had the lasagna and shrimp & scallop risotto. Both were cooked to perfection. Finished the night with an amazing teramisu. Don’t even question if this place is worth it. Just go!

Heather Walker: Excellent food! Our server, Kyle was great and very attentive! A bit cramped inside and noisy but otherwise all was great!

The Occidental: what do users think?

Hilda Kroll: A nice, quiet place to have lunch and a challenge to remember the names of the famous people whose portraits are hanging everywhere. The short rib grilled cheese sandwich had lots of tender meat and was oozing with cheddar and Bel paese cheese. What made it unique and special was the radicchio-citrus marmalade. Reasonably priced with great service thanks to Chanel.

antoinette rodney: Food was good. Pleasantly surprised by the cornbread. I was expecting the usual starter bread. The cornbread was served in an iron skillet so it stayed warm longer! I had the pasta special which was pasta made on site with lobster and clams. It was not heavy at all! I also had the Occidental salad which was also light and good. Normally with a meal this size I walk out of the restaurant feeling like I had a ton of bricks in my stomach because I was so full but not here. Decor is interesting. Many pictures on the walls of influential people in Washington. Waiter was attentive!

Khoi Nguyen: Came here for lunch with some coworkers. We had some oysters, angus burger, crab cake sandwich and the fried green tomato BLT. Everything here was delicious. Oysters were so good we had to order another dozen. The burgers and sandwiches are a must order. The crunch from the thick cut bacon and fried tomato in the BLT was definitely the highlight. The crab sandwich was cooked perfectly and the added water crest added some great texture. This is a great place to people watch. The outside patio is perfect when the sun is out. Food and ambience here is great. If you want seafood and American food this is one of the best spots around the mall.

Karen L: We took advantage of restaurant week to revisit an old friend, the Occidental. The food is still great. The seating arrangement does not crowd the room and allows for conversation. We enjoyed all the dishes we had as they were interesting and well done. Will definitely put the Occidental back on the list for lunch rotations given our pleasant dining experience. If the ice cream cookie sandwich is on the menu, get it! the cookie was fab! The Duck & The Peach: what do users think?

María José RS: Absolutely amazing! High quality food and the staff are the loveliest. We had a roasted half chicken with a glass of Spanish wine and it was definitely a stunning combination. And the dessert? A dream!! I got the lemon and mint cake and my boyfriend the chocolate one and I can assure you we we’ll be thinking about these for a long time. It was my birthday and the staff were very attentive and nice since we stepped in. I highly recommend to go if you are around Washington or travelling there!!

Michelle Keller: Came here for Saturday brunch and the food was excellent! We shared the grains and greens bowl, ricotta crepes, duck fat fried potatoes, and a cinnamon roll. Everything was superb. The crepes were lemony and tender. The duck fat fried potatoes were probably the best I’ve ever had. The patio is really lovely and dog friendly.

Anthony Uzodinma: The dinner menu here is the very definition of quality over quantity. There’s not a lot to choose from, when compared to most, but everything here is so well prepared and tasty that you wouldn’t mind a continuous repetition on the same dish. For example, the half chicken dish was seasoned just right, tender and juicy. It really was a mouth watering delight with each bite. The staff here were friendly and attentive, always around to answer any questions we had about the menu or ordering process. They were definitely an addition to the overall great experience had here.

Brandyn: Extremely good food! Staff was also extremely kind and very quick on their feet. They also have coke a cola in glass bottle 10/10 on that alone. Definitely will come back to try the duck

Christopher Ardalan: What a wonderful experience! We started off with beef tartar and fluke crudo. So fresh, so delicious! The beef had an excellent flavor all its own, and the fluke came with a bright Meyer lemon sauce. We went for the duck and pomegranate, brussel sprouts, and braised kale for the main course. The duck was perfectly cooked and so crispy. The spice and sauce on the brussels sprouts made us feel silly for thinking we could make it at home. The kale was delicious with a poached egg on top, plus it was a solid portion size. Finally, we had the goat cheese cheesecake for dessert. This was 100x better than regular cheese cake and I may not ever eat "regular" cheesecake again. The kumquat added the perfect amount of sweetness. Highly recommend for a nice date night. We went December 2021 and there was only outdoor seating due to COVID, but they had plenty of heat lamps going inside a tent.

Natasha Hansen: Delicious comfort food! We were five people we got the half chicken, 2 dates, 2 rolls, and two vegetable dishes and the crudo and 3 desserts. The goat cheese cheesecake was delicious!! Very reasonable prices. Nice patio too!

Emilie Durand: We had a lovely dining experience here. They have a very nice terrace facing a quiet street and the dining room is also lovely, and the food was great. We ordered asparagus, scallops, Caesar salad, rotisserie chicken, and fish. Everything was excellent. I especially enjoyed the sauces, which were light and airy. We will definitely come back next time we are in Washington DC and recommend it to friends.

Danielle Alexander: This place is our favorite in Eastern Market. The food is incredible and they are always so kind and understanding of our toddler. Best staff ever. So glad we have this gem in the neighborhood. Favorites for us are: the bloody Mary’s, steak, cinnamon rolls, and the duck. We are regulars for brunch and dinner. Great wine selection too.

Fredrick Truitt: For appetizers we had the brûlée dates, house rolls, butchers steak, half chicken, chard okra, baby carrots, crispy herbs potatoes, and spicy margarita (very spicy) —- everything was spot on and delicious. The chicken was juicy filled will flavor, the steak we ordered medium well and it was cooked to perfection. The carrot had some cream sauce that paired well with the chicken and the steak was accompanied by pickled shallots that had me thinking about starting a personal garden. Lol.

Matthew: Delicious food. The food deserves 5 stars. The staff was very friendly but this is an odd restaurant. You order from your phone. You pay from your phone. Yet, they charge a 22% “living wage fee”. For what? Someone to deliver a plate to my table? If a company believes they are not paying their employees a living wage-then it’s the company’s responsibility to give them a raise. Why mandate customers pay their staff salaries- make up where you lack? We didn’t have a server-no one went over the options or made recommendations-these are the reasons we tip-for service provided. To add what you call “living wage fee” to my bill implies your staff isn’t making a living wage-which means YOU aren’t paying them enough. I can’t grasp why America all the sudden thinks others are responsible for taking care of everyone. I’m not your partner or parent-why do I owe you anything? If you aren’t paying your employees enough-that’s on you/don’t pass this onto me. Likewise-if you’re working and not making enough-get a second job-don’t expect others to pay for you. America is falling fast because of these ignorant practices.

Ocean Prime: what do users think?

Solana Cox: We celebrated our 5 year anniversary here all the way from Pittsburgh and let me tell you, Ocean Prime did not disappoint. It was well worth the start of our road trip to DC. Everyone who came to our table went above and beyond. I ordered the teriyaki salmon and it was scrumptious! When I told the waiter that it was our anniversary, they made sure it was going to be a night to remember. Highly recommend this place.

Syerra Carigo: We visited for happy hour on Wednesday and it wasn’t too crowded. I tried their delicious steak tartare and my husband had their oysters. I also tried their “berries and bubbles” cocktail which comes with dry ice, Belvedere citrus vodka, marinated berries, house made sour, and Chandon Brut. This drink was so sweet and very cute! The staff were all friendly, and all the bartenders attended to you whether they were serving you or not. We had a very nice time. I’m looking forward to returning for dinner.

Danovel Tolli: This was my first time Dining at Ocean Prime. Taking my lady out for her birthday. It was nothing more than a top tier experience. The waiter Briyan was awesome..extremely friendly, warm, and you just knew he enjoyed serving us and you felt it everytime he visited the table. The first thing I tasted was the Surf and Turf Scallop, and prime rib..Amazingly tender and full of flavor. Nothing more than immaculate. The Lamb Chops were the best I have ever tasted from anywhere. Prepare to be here for a while as they do take their time to give you an experience. I will be going back for the Private dining experience for sure.

chris chadwick: Oceans Prime was truly a great experience. The service was friendly and on top of everything very impressed for a busy place. The food was amazing. I had a 10 filet cooked medium rare minus....tender, juice and delicious. The peanut butter chocolate cake thing out of this world! Great food and wine excellent service.

Love Chan: Back at it AGAIN…my Fav❣️😋

Francina Thomas: My family made reservations at this Restaurant for my birthday celebration. I loved it, felt like a Queen for the evening. Everything was wonderful from start to finish. The check in crew were friendly and professional- found our reservations and table was ready on the spot. Our waiter Alexander was superb !! He was friendly, knowledgeable on the menu, wine, sprits and dessert. His recommendations were excellent. He truly made my birthday special by treating me to my dessert. How sweet. The Food was Delicious 😋 😍!!! The prices were upscale but so was the service and food- definitely worth it. The portions were large. The variety was awesome. We tried a bottle of Resling wine from a California venue which was light, fruity and semi sweet - just like i like it. There were 6 of us coupled off with a meal price around $150.00 to $250.00 per couple. I will definitely keep this place in mind for a return visit.

Ron Paige: Amazing Experience. Sofia was an amazing Server. Professionalism personified❤ Dining Manager Ebony was amazing and checked on us along with the Sou Chef. It lives up to the hype. BEST Calamari EVER! Platter Up the snapper with a lobster tail and filet mignon. Thank me later.❤💯 The East Coast Oysters are Amazing. Thank you. Worth every dollar spent and wonder staff. THANK YOU for a great BDAY and sublime Dining experience.

Monica R S: Berries and Bubbles cocktail was soooo good and it was fun to watch the bubbles. The Prime Roll was delicious, good texture, fish was fresh. The Lobster Tails were perfectly cooked and it’s a big portion! The carrot cake is good but it’s a tad too sweet for my taste, it is a big portion so it’s good to share. Our server Derek was very attentive and friendly.

Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab: what do users think?

Alexander Staufenberg: My parent took me here for their anniversary dinner. I was sort of nervous about the vegetarian options — but I was very pleased with stuffed mushrooms, the potatoes lyonnaise and the steamed asparagus. The portions are very generous. After hearing we were celebrating an anniversary the house gave us a complimentary brownie with ice cream and whipped cream. It was divine.

Konstantin: Great restaurant. Atmosphere is nice, staff is friendly and food is really good. Oysters were fresh and fried chicken was simply delicious. This place is very popular so reservation is recommended there.

Swastika Nohara: The best stone crab there is! My favorite was crab stuffed shrimp because it was creamy and delicious! Perfectly seasoned and crunchy at the same time. Creamed spinach and broccolini was also nice. We spent 156 USD for those meals as seen on my photos.

Maryam Sherbaf: We went to Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone crab for our anniversary. The service is excellent, atmosphere is nice , the restaurant is pretty packed. The food is good but it’s a bit overrated and overpriced.

Allison Williams: Wow this place is gorgeous, really nice ambiance, I want to start there. The food is delicious and fresh as well. It is pricey so if your going and you have a party of more than 2, expected to spend like 100$ a person. The drinks were good but not strong enough for me. It was my birthday and my first time there and I enjoyed every moment.

Melissa Flaminio: Our waiter Jeffrey was fantastic. We were looking for a good seafood spot close to our hotel that we could celebrate my recent graduation and it totally hit the spot. Got the seafood pasta and the crab was buttery with citrus, and the little slices of asparagus was top notch. Loved it and definitely worth the trip

Freddie's Beach Bar: what do users think?

Alfred Jones: Excellent time! Everyone there was friendly and nice, what a wonderful time. The bartender was great - the flashing flamingo is hilarious as a drink and I love it. There is a 24 hour diner right down the way as well for the after drinking munchies so it has a great location.

Jacob Blandford: Very fun bar/restaurant. The food is good and the service is great! Go for a show and enjoy the entertainment. There is a $5 cover but it is worth it.

Sangeeta Rao: Every time I come here I feel at home. So welcomed and so accepted, Freddie’s has been there for me in so many ways I don’t even know where to start. From drag bingo on Wednesday, to weekend brunch, to a happy hour (4-7pm) cocktail with friends after a long week, Freddie’s is there and will never disappoint! This LGBTQ+ and straight friendly bar also has fun karaoke and trivia nights. Everyone who works here is an absolute gem and have great intuition about split checks and orders even when you’re in a big group. I personally enjoy the nachos or fried shrimp and the prince inspired purple rain cocktail. Freddie, the owner, is also an incredible person and pillar of the community. Located not too far from the pentagon, this establishment provided a safe space for all service members and has always provided a fun and inviting environment regardless of lifestyle. He regularly hosts fundraisers and events for student scholarships and local LGBTQ+ support groups like AGLA (Arlington-Alexandria Gay Lesbian Alliance). There is nothing more exhilarating than winning one of the raffle drawings at one of these Freddie’s events, so I highly recommend you check out when the next one is!

Nicolas Davila: Freddie’s is a vibrant and inclusive place, with a great brunch, great prices, and a fantastic friendly staff. Our server James was extremely attentive and friendly, he made us want to keep coming back. They have Karaoke every night which we’ll surely be back to try out after such a good experience.

Gaelle Claude: Such a cute bar!!! Freddie’s Beach Bar has a great ambiance. I actually stumbled upon it while working in Virginia and funny enough they were having an event so I stuck around for that. This is a LGBTQ restaurant — just throwing that out there. On Wednesdays they have Drag Bingo, which is one of the events I was referring to, it was pretty fun. If interested, you need to rsvp a week in advance. The staff there is super nice and friendly. I made it for happy hour too! Lucky day over all lol. I ordered a piña colada and blue cheese burger. The food was good and so was that cocktails.

James Leach: Wow! Had Sunday brunch with my husband, Daughter and our nanny this morning at Freddie’s. Staff was great, food was off the chart and experience was 10/10! The donuts with ham and cheese are a huge hit!!! Thanks for making the day!

Michael: Hands down the best Drag Brunch in the DC/NoVa area. No one can compete with Destiny B Childs! I have seen this show many times, and each time is different! Perfect for a get together or a getaway! Great staff and atmosphere.

William West Hopper (DC Car Guy): Nice spot for a drink or a meal. Not a crazy place very relaxed. More like a neighborhood bar.
