Lighthouse Yoga Center: what do users think?

Jennifer Holshue: I love Lighthouse. The teachers, the variety of classes, a ton of interesting workshops, the unpretentious vibe, and community-focused ethos have been a welcome presence in the neighborhood since coming to their Kennedy Street location. I try to practice with them at least a couple of times a week, and with online and in-person classes available, it’s convenient and fun. Everyone, teachers and students alike, have all always been kind and welcoming. The studio itself is always clean and obviously well cared for. Highly recommended!!

Kelsi Van Veen: Amazing community, tons of great classes and workshops, wonderful people. Just recently started taking classes here and I wish I wasn’t so busy because they have so many fun workshops to try! The classes I have taken have all been fantastic. It’s quite clear the studio has attracted a community of diverse, wonderful, and welcoming human beings. Pics are from an outdoor class with Jazmin a few weeks back. She was fantastic and connected with and recognized the needs of each one of her students. As someone that has only dabbled in yoga, I was glad to find a place that is unpretentious but that has extremely knowledgeable teachers to learn from!

Kelsi Van Veen: Lighthouse Yoga Center has been a wonderful find since moving to Petworth. Such a diverse community of people and they are so welcoming! I really enjoy being able to try many different types of yoga classes, and there seem to be a ton of great events on the schedule every month. Having the flexibility to take online classes from home as well has been great for my busy schedule. Highly recommend.

B C: Great Kundalini Yoga studio. Very authentic, with great teachers , feels very neighborhoody and reasonable. I just started and although a bit far for me, I look forward to coming . Just like other reviews stated , easy to register on line, friendly and true sense of sharing the art of yoga with community. Highly recommend!

Circle Yoga Cooperative: what do users think?

Leah Hudson: Circle Yoga is an incredible studio. The staff is very warm and welcoming, and the studio is open and clean. I was drawn to the studio because they were one of the few in the DC area that offered in-person prenatal yoga classes. I felt safe with vaccine and mask requirements in place. The instructor, Jen, is amazing and offers modifications to help each individual.

Jessica Ewers: We absolutely love Circle Yoga and have been taking classes for years! My almost 12 year old daughter has always been treated with kindness, compassion and love. The summer camp is the best! They incorporate art, movement, and positive self-awareness. I highly recommend this beautiful establishment.

Sheri Denkensohn: I began going to Circle Yoga remotely during the pandemic. I live in Virginia and would never be able to have access to the studio. It is fantastic! I specifically enjoy yoga Nidra and gentle yoga. The instructors are top-notch and class feels like a community. I would not go anywhere else! It is well worth the money.

Joan Alker: I love, love, love Circle Yoga and have been going there for years. The teachers are absolutely top notch and the studio is incredibly welcoming for people of all levels of experience. There are virtual and in person options. I have done yoga all over the country and this studio is very special.

Kristina Carson: Circle Yoga is such a special place for me and my family. I started taking their prenatal classes with my first and continued growing with their class offerings from there. So lucky to have a such a bright and happy studio close to home!

Kaili Mang Jeyarajah: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityThis is a yoga studio that offers teachers plenty of creative freedom and support, so you have access to a broad range of yoga styles and many classes at different times of day. They have stayed faithfully online during the entire pandemic! We are looking forward to them carefully opening in person as well, very soon.

Susan Cooper: Positive: Communication, QualityLove, love, love this studio. I have been practicing here for 16 years. The variety of classes offered for all levels, the quality of the teachers, some who have been there as long as I have, and the low key welcoming vibe make this a perfect yoga studio. Highly recommend.

Emma Mehrabi: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI’ve been going to WYC for several years now and absolutely love them. They transitioned flawlessly into pandemic yoga teaching online, and I’m so happy that my favorite instructor, Audrey Roxas, is still teaching for them. Can’t say enough great things!

Samantha Power: All of the classes are beautifully taught by teachers will an intention to guide, strengthen, and heal. Many classes have a spiritual dimension as well, something I was looking for when I came to Flow. I feel lucky to be a part of this amazing community!

Tierra Wilson: I’ve attended yoga sessions with Ashley Allison. I always leave feeling so renewed, strengthened, and mentally relaxed.....and the music is always good!

Bluebird Sky Yoga: what do users think?

Rebecca Wolf: I’ve been coming to Bluebird Sky Yoga for a few weeks now and it is becoming one of the best parts of my week! I’m coming back to a yoga practice after 10 years and I’m so thankful for this bright, kind and welcoming studio serving the Edgewood/Brookland community. Prices are fair, instructors are wonderful, vaccine-mandatory policy keeps people safe, and the space is beautiful. The main studio is warm, bright and relaxing. Try their new member deal!

Kristen Gardner: This a very nice studio with a good vibe. The class offerings are fantastic and the teachers are attentive and professional. The space is open and airy and situated in a quiet residential neighborhood. I have been to many studios in DC, and I feel as if this is my permanent yoga home!

Paige Lieberman: So great to have this place in the neighborhood! I’ve been looking for a new studio for awhile, and from my first class here, I was sold. It’s a chill place that makes you feel calm as soon as you walk in. The teachers lead very approachable classes, while still offering challenging asanas and pranayama techniques. Having taken a teacher training myself, it’s clear that the teachers are well educated. It’s exciting to find classes in DC with these advanced themes woven into the classes.

Amber W: Very kind and accommodating owner! Background: I had to change my contract start date because I was going to be overseas for a large portion of the month. The staff forwarded my request to the owner, who emailed me and was perfectly fine with changing the contract start date so that I could take full advantage of the membership that month. As a new client, this shows me that this studio cares about their patrons. I am sure I will continue to practice here! Highly recommend.

Natalia Alvarez Diaz: One of my absolute favorite studios in DC! The space is gorgeous and the staff and teachers are courteous and knowledgeable. Love the murals outside and the lovely reading nook for some pre or post-class tea.

Dupont Circle Yoga: what do users think?

Erin Shea: Positive: Professionalism, QualityI miss heading to classes at DCY. The space is simple but serene. Teachers are skilled, helpful and most importantly, respectful. Having had a few bad experiences with what seem to be ego-driven yoga teachers/studios, a space like Dupont is not to be missed!

Ruizhi LIU: This yoga studio is located in a very cute neighborhood. I was visiting DC and took a deep flow class with Peter. I was deeply impressed by his teaching and really appreciate how he helped push my body just a little bit further to reach positions I wasn’t able to before. If you live in the area, or are just visiting (like me), I highly recommend you checking this place out. Plus, they have very attractive rate for first timers. There’s changing room and yoga mats you can use. So you don’t have to bring anything. P.S. their sister studio Georgetown Yoga, which I checked out during my last visit to DC was also very nice.

Demian Sanchez: My favorite yoga center in the Dupont area. The space is cozy, clean and comfortable and I like their vinyasa classes. The prices are also quite competitive, the best bang for your buck in the area

Roz R.: Beautiful space with great teachers. Love coming to this yoga studio and their sister studio, Georgetown Yoga. Also love their student discounts!

Stefanie G: Did $10 first timer class w Moriah and she slayed. This place has good vibes, mats to borrow, and a flow sequence that has me feeling so good. Get to it.

lindsay love: Gorgeous, calm space draws you away from the bustle of the city. Excellent instruction with a personal touch and attention to detail. Highly recommend

Ashley Morgan: Love this studio, great classes and one of the most scenic locations in DC.

Yoga District: what do users think?

daniel nathan: Yoga District is the perfect yoga studio. They have a wide variety of classes, and there is always something available that you would like. The instructors are incredibly clear, and sufficiently demanding. I have been taking classes from Fran at 14th St. for about 10 years, and she never fails to simulate. Her explanations are easy to follow, and she provides many options. And she’s just a great person.

eimear holton: Nice, clean, and welcoming studio. Yoga district has excellent teachers offering a wide range of classes all over the city! Plus quite inexpensive compared to most!

Stephanie Pratt: Love yoga district - very affordable compared to other studios in DC. In addition, they truly live the practice of yoga - practicing ahimsa, being kind to others, and building community. I took yoga teacher training here, and I am so happy I did. I have learned so much and have met so many wonderful people because of that experience. looking forward to spending more time with the yoga district family.

Natasha Hansen: Andreas Friday evening class is a great way to unwind into the weekend. central location and lots of natural light in the studio!

I McM: As a complete beginner this place has been super welcoming. Not absurdly expensive, chill, and a good guided class that understands that bodies have limits. Every teacher has a different vibe but they all have good skills!

Jaime Buzzeo: I attended teacher training with Yoga District and loved every minute of it. I also love the variety of classes Yoga District offers. It is the most affordable yoga in the district.

Yoga District - Glover Park: what do users think?

Stephanie Timmons: The class offerings at Yoga District include a great mix of strength, flow, deep breathing, and relaxation. I appreciate having the online offering, allowing me the flexibility to practice in my own space. The classes have been easy to follow. Since starting with Yoga District, I’ve felt considerably more in-tuned with my mind and body.

Kraig Hamady: Great studio that give tons of options for finding your own practice. Unlike more corporate yoga studio that pre-package standard flows (which has its proponents), Yoga District cultivates a quiver of individual teachers of diverse backgrounds and training so you can find any class that serves your overall style, or needs for that particular day. The studios (I practiced at the Glover Park and Dupont locations) are intimate yet inviting. Teacher were super friendly and knowledgeable. I also was very impressed with their commitment to using natural and sustainable cleansers, towels, and mats. This will be my yoga home when I come back to DC to visit family.

Margaux Nielsen: Yoga District is a cute, laid back studio for the Glover Park neighborhood and definitely the most affordable yoga in the area. They have lots of different types of classes, and the teachers and staff are always very friendly. Highly recommend!

Stacey McLaughlin: Yoga under a huge oak tree. How much better does it get?

Mikela Moore: Cute little studio with amazing teachers!

Patrick Burritt: Great spot!

Anandita Wellness: what do users think?

Janae Gravitz: My toddler and I have been loving these classes this spring! Such a great opportunity for early exposure to music, movement, and art. We couldn’t make it to class today, and my daughter cried, “I want to go to class! I want Ms. Elina!” :) There have been so few offerings for kids during the pandemic, and this has been a real gem. Highly recommend!

Sarah Potthoff: I can’t sing the praises of Anandita Wellness loudly enough! My daughter LOVES her classes and she is learning and growing with each class. Anandita Wellness has been such a bright light this past year for our family. Everyone looks forward to the weekly classes! Highly recommend!

Mihaela Grindeanu: It has been such a privilege for me and my 2-year old to take part in Elina’s classes! We both enjoy them immensely. Elina has a unique way of engaging with children, providing them with a creative and fun learning space. I am truly thankful for her care and dedication.

Shannon O'Connor Hines: This class has been amazing for my children. My 5 year old daughter has taken it since she was 3, and my 2 year old son loves it. They “practice” at home and it provides a beautiful way for me to connect with them about their day. Also, Ms. Elina truly cares deeply about her students and families, and goes above and beyond to help her families. I highly recommend this company!!

M B: My son has taken yoga classes from Anandita Wellness for the last couple of years, and I am truly impressed with the instructor’s ability to engage with young children and create an interactive, child-focused atmosphere while guiding them through different yoga poses. I’ve attended classes with my son and was able to see firsthand how much the children enjoy going on their yoga journey. I’ve read about the connection between practicing yoga and reducing anxiety and anger in children. I can attest to this and have seen my three-year-old use “deep yoga breaths” to calm himself down in times of frustration. I also have seen him beam with a strong sense of pride in his ability to master certain poses—the “tree pose” being the most difficult—after months of practice. The instructors at Anandita Wellness are exceptional, happy, positive, and kind people. We couldn’t be happier!

Brian Coblitz: My daughter has enjoyed the classes from ages 3-5. The kids follow directions very well and learn lots of poses. One of her favorite activities at school.

Alex Hoekstra: Great yoga classes with some of the best teachers in the region! Great job. 👏🏼

Karim Hafizov: Beautiful yoga studio! Very clean and the teachers are fantastic. The dispensary also has a nice selection of products and the owner(Carol I think?) was extremely friendly and helpful. The events look fun although I have not attended any yet. 10/10 recommend for yoga classes.

Eric Oakley: Great new yoga studio in the neighborhood. Owner is super nice and classes are challenging and fun. Love the vibe! Calm, clean and I always leave feeling recharged.

Sydney Wagner: My favorite yoga studio. Great teachers, great space, welcoming community. Everything you could ask for and more.

Kristin Knepper: I really enjoyed my vinyasa flow class with Aveline. The studio is gorgeous and spacious! They also offer blocks and bolsters to use. The vinyasa pace was perfect, not too fast where I could risk injury, but a good pace to get my heart rate up. There’s also plenty of free curb parking by the studio. I’ll definitely be back!

Nutiatu Adetayo Adesokan: Elizabeth is such an amazing person. My friends and I stopped by just to ask questions and she greeted us with open arms and we ended up discussing life and our yoga practice during the pandemic. She suggested doing the c1 class to get back in the grove of things. We laughed and had such a good time. You guys have such a great employee there!!

Gayla Mithzue Jimenez Martinez: My first time ever trying yoga sculpt and it has been life-changing! I love the energy in all the classes and the feeling I get after every session. I recommend it 100%

Kristen Murray: Yoga sculpt is the BEST class. Great work out, slightly heated room. I received a discount on a ten class pack on Gilt city and the classes NEVER expire which is unheard of for workout packages in DC!

Susan Brown: We had a blast! We do not live in the DC area but were in town visiting and enjoy finding fun workout stops in our family travels. My husband, 15 year old daughter and I took a terrific vinyasa flow session. We all highly recommend.

Jessica Glaspey: I enjoyed the intensity of workout and the blend of yoga and weights for Yoga Sculpt. Great studio set up, fantastic instructor! I will definitely be back for sure!

Nicole Lohr: I like the convenience of this studio but it is very pricey. I tried it out because of a groupon but cant afford to continue with them. They have a clean studio and 99% of the instructors are friendly and helpful.

Ashtanga Yoga Studio DC: what do users think?

Stephanie Lilley: Keith is the very best yoga instructor ever. Every school teacher should take his class to see how he makes each student feel special. He can teach to every level in one class, and everyone feels successful and accomplished. He is an Ashtanga purist, but he also has some fun!!

Dr. Eugenia Prokopets: I am a newbie to Ashtanga and I am so thrilled to be in this studio. Keith has been so welcoming and made me feel right at home from day one. He was super accommodating with having a new student and always guided me through whenever I did not remember the pose. He is excellent with adjustments and motivates you to be better. I am thrilled with my progress so far. This is my new go to studio, I would highly recommend it!!

Nicholas Satriano: Ashtanga Yoga Studio DC is a great place to practice and learn ashtanga yoga. It is a very welcoming, communal space that is conveniently located near Sibley Hospital in DC. There are a variety of classes for all levels. I have been going to classes at AYSDC for several years and particularly enjoy being able to attend daily Mysore classes, as well as the led classes. Keith Moore, who is the owner, creates a warm and inclusive atmosphere for beginners like me, and he has variety of loyal students at all levels. The other teachers are great too and I look forward to taking their classes when my schedule allows. Wendy offers a great class on Saturday mornings. She provides great instruction as well as explaining the principles behind the postures in a very understandable format. They also offer special classes from time to time such as meditation and mindfulness, which help to create a great yoga learning community. I encourage you to visit the studio.

Cristina Sanchez: I have been a student of Keith’s for over a decade. He has always been helpful and patient with my practice. Every instructor he has is knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend the studio, it’s clean, class sizes are manageable (max 15) and always welcoming.

Catherine McKenna: AYC is the real deal. You can count on consistently excellent, authentic yoga practice every day (or as often as you can get there). Keith will change the way you think about yoga and yourself without ever being intimidating, new age-y, or dull. Yoga class at AYC is reliably the best hour of my day.

Holly Happe: I am an advanced practice ashtangi and Keith was my ashtanga teacher for years, starting in 2001when I was a brand new yogi. He is one of the most compassionate and understanding humans and teachers that I have ever encountered. His depth of knowledge in yoga, anatomy and the human body is truly impressive and I can’t say enough about how much he has helped and encouraged me over the years. I remember after I had my daughter and I was trying to find the time to go back to yoga he had me bring her to the studio and if she got fussy he would pick her up and walk with her for as long as it took to calm her and to allow me to practice. When i got injured he was able to help me find ways to rebuild strength so i could keep practicing. If you have any doubt put it aside and just go get on the mat with Keith, you won’t regret it.

Funk Uoip: Their classes are easy to follow and challenging. The instructors are very patient and warm towards you. I started as a visitor and I was in bad shape. After a few months and a few sessions, I am feeling a lot better and can handle stress better. The breathing techniques have helped me with public speaking. The restorative yoga is the best and now I am able to sleep for six hours or more each night. Willow Street Yoga is the best yoga studio in the area. They have two studios, one in Takoma Park and another in Silver Spring, MD. Both studios are large, clean, and easy to get too. The only caveat is parking which during certain times of the day may be limited. However, you will have a good and close parking spot. Oh yeah, now I am an everyday practice member and 20 lbs lighter. Try it out.

ann wagner: It would be helpful if one could sign up for notifications when the center isnt open, without any promotions. If there was was an email posted I would have used that.

Jane Ngugi: For anyone who understands the philosophy of yoga beyond asana’s, and who wishes to delve into pantajali’s 8 limbs of yoga, this is the place to practice.Though it is more pricey than most yoga studios, the philosophy of yoga is respected here. It goes beyond stretching, beyond the body, into the soul of yoga, as a union of body, mind, and spirit. Yoga tradition is honored here, and not distorted like many yoga studios do.

Tres Pels: Tara is amazing. A real yoga community.

Ryan W Sims: Check out their free Saturday community class.

Maya Hollomon: Yoga for every BODY, not just Instagram model look-alikes. Also really affordable for the DC area. Very kind, well trained teachers and friendly staff.

Allan Regis: love this studio. it lets in a lot of natural light, conveniently located by the metro, and it has plenty of space for classes!

Stephanie Hoehn: I love Yoga Heights, and the Takoma location is just beautiful. The studios are spacious and calming and I love getting an hour away to myself. There is a wide variety of classes, from sweaty power flows to relaxing yin - and everything in between. Their current COVID precautions (everyone must be vaccinated and masked) make me feel very comfortable practicing indoors, although I appreciate their outdoor offerings, too!

James Dickas: Went here for my first studio class since the pandemic started. It was great! It was challenging to get back into it, but the all levels class was a good speed. Tip: the staff is efficient, so they arrived 5 min prior to class start (7:45pm class). If you arrive early and it looks closed, they will be there soon.

Chanpen Tee: Nice and clean facility. Instructors and staff are nice and friendly. There are a lot of classes.

Ileana Schinder: Yoga Heights is amazing. They have engaging and very experienced teachers for all levels. Their prices are very good and there are several plans yogis can join. I highly encourage you to come, practice and meet the amazing people that make yoga practice a true personal experience. Highly, highly recommended!

Jessica Pierno: Love this location— close to metro, calm and beautiful spaces, and amazing instructors.

It was my first time doing aerial yoga, but Hailey made me feel safe, secure, and supported throughout the entire class! They were so amazing, so supportive and they even convinced me to go upside down. It was a class with mostly new people, and they handled it with grace and poise. Can’t wait to keep taking classes here!

brownbunny30: Paula was amazing! She made our group of 9 (ages 21 to 46 of all sizes) comfortable with the silks and movement! By the time we finished every one was craving more!

Allan Regis: i love the U St studio!!! (it’s conveniently located right across from Nellie’s so i can stop in for a drink afterwards haha.) this studio offers great prices for Aerial classes which i really appreciate.

Ian Kiefhaber: Love Yoga Heights, I have literally had only positive experiences with them over the last two or so years. Special shout out to Amy, I highly recommend any of her classes.

Allan Regis: this was my home studio for like four years before the pandemic… so many fond memories of this space! love the dark wood floors in the front studio, and the back studio is perfect for yin classes with the lights turned down low. looove this studio space.

Mairi Breen Rothman: The teacher, Sadie Leigh, greeted each person warmly and personally. She moved with ease between the two rooms, she explained everything in a way that each person could adapt to their own abilities, she brought an underpinning of spirituality that was heartening but not directive, and she has a lovely voice. She also demonstrated with skill and precision while maintaining a monologue laced with excellent metaphors and a little levity. The space was warm, clean, equipped with lots of nice equipment (blocks, bolsters, blankets, mats) and good lighting. I will make Sunday morning yoga a priority from now on!

Jason Matti: Great class with Yogi Corrine!

Camille Dykes: Yoga Heights made me love yoga! I took my first yoga class here years ago and fell in love. I am so lucky to have such a beautiful studio in my area. They provide a wide range of classes for for people of all abilities and skill level. I love the diversity of styles and teachers. No class is the same and they allow you to find a practice that works best for your body! There is a variety of packages that are affordable and they even have happy hour classes on the weekdays. I recommend taking advantage of the fact that you can use your membership at any of their studios to expand your practice and meet new yogis. I’m so happy that I found this place because it brings me so much joy and peace!

Julia Purinton: Yoga Heights has a terrific range of teachers with individual teaching styles as well as an array of classes in various yoga traditions. There are multiple virtual class options every day, and the zoom format allows for both a sense of community and the privacy of an at home practice. The variety of classes keeps me coming to the mat, sometimes multiple times a day, for the strength-building of Barre and Power Flow and the stress relief of Yin. Although I sorely miss the in-person experience of the studio community, seeing familiar faces on the computer from wherever we are all quarantining is a real solace and support.

Seth Yeazel: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityThe instructors are extremely positive, sweet, and provide a great workout. I will be a long term member of the studio, no doubt!

Sofie Miller: The instructors are wonderful, there is such variety in the classes offered, and I can pick from multiple virtual classes that fit my schedule. The Yoga Heights membership is such a good deal (I use it all the time!) and would highly recommend this studio.

Katy Roberts: Great atmosphere, great teacher, overall good vibes

Refresh Yoga Center: what do users think?

Sanyika Calloway: I have a total “girl crush” on yoga instructor extraordinaire Felicia Taliaferro 🧘🏾‍♀️ I’ve practiced with her at 3 different studios since I moved back to the East Coast in March and she just radiates joy and enthusiasm! Her “geeky” 🤓 knowledge of anatomy and passion for people is awesome! Really enjoyed flowing with her at Refresh Yoga Center in Old Town, VA.

Shari May: I searched high an low for a yoga studio closer to my home and am very happy to have found Refresh Yoga Center! I have taken classes with several different instructors and each has been taken to the time to introduce themselves and make me feel welcomed prior to class. They also inquire about injuries and offer modifications, as needed, which is very helpful to me. The overall vibe at the studio is laid back, and allows me to take my mind off my to-do list and just be present in the moment. Refresh Yoga Center has reminded me why I began practicing yoga a few years ago and has reignited my desire to continue practicing! I always feel centered and balanced after each class. I highly encourage anyone who is thinking of checking out Refresh Yoga Center to do so! You will not be disappointed!

Kristin Orwig: I’ve had very positive experiences at Refresh so far. The instructors and employees there are helpful and kind. I’ve been attending the prenatal class pretty regularly and am enjoying the monthly themes the studio focuses on and how the instructor melds that theme with our pregnancies each time. The instructors I’ve had have been very knowledgeable and have been able to target specific areas of need as I or another student in the class has asked for. I always look forward to going to yoga and truly feel refreshed after!

Hyun Kwak: i have been going to this studio for years. they offer many different vinyasa classes and restorative ones. parking is a little challenging since it is at the heart of Old Town. I recommend to plan parking a few blocks away and enjoy the nice walk in the area instead of getting frustrated looking for parking close to the studio.

Rachel Martin: Refresh is an incredible space with all the amenities and caring, experienced teachers. I have found the whole community welcoming and supportive as I restart my yoga practice. This is a clean, safe space where you can grow. There are many workshops to chose from as well. After experiencing Refresh, you will never go back to the big chain studios!

Sun & Moon Yoga Studio Inc: what do users think?

Carol Stone: Sun and Moon is a brilliantly and kindly run locally-owned yoga studio. I participate in a variety of classes, workshops and discussions at Sun and Moon on a frequent basis and look forward to all of them. My regular teachers, Annie, Asya and Nathalie, all provide different and invaluable perspectives. The peaceful studio spaces and supportive community provide immediate respite from worldly concerns and energize me to re-enter the world with renewed spirit and appreciation. Highly recommend!

David Riso: I have been coming to Sun & Moon Yoga regularly for about five years, at first in person at the Fairfax studio and for the last 2 years virtually via Zoom due to Covid 19. I highly recommend Sun & Moon to anyone, without reservation. A yoga studio is only as good as its teachers, and this studio has some great ones. I’ve recently taken classes with Vickie, Anna, Dena, Carol, Annie, Nathalie, Cindy & Andrea. They are all very knowledgeable and friendly, and take pains to make Hatha Yoga accessible to students of all experience levels. Yet each has a slightly different approach and I‘ve learned a lot from each of them. The studio also regularly hosts workshops with nationally-recognized teachers. I am so grateful to have found Sun &Moon Yoga.

Deborah Pereira: I have been taking yoga at Sun and Moon since 1990. This studio is warm and welcoming for any skill level and age. Whether you are a beginner at yoga or an old hand, you will find a class to fit your needs. Hope to see you at Sun and Moon Yoga Studio!

Louise Eppard: Sun & Moon is THE BEST yoga studio. The classes are the real deal with teachers with years of experience who know how to teach so that you learn to do yoga the right way, focusing on breathing, balance, flexibility, strength, and inner peace. There are so many great teachers with different styles and different class levels that you will want to try them all. In addition to a fantastic yoga studio, Sun & Moon is a community-oriented, warm, and inviting place. Among many others, check out Amir, Annie, Lisa, Carol, Vicki, Aysa, and Enid. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Grace Jaeger

K Jones: I’ve been studying and participating with Sun & Moon Yoga for several years. Little did I know how fundamental this practice would be in surviving the last 2 years. Hatha yoga with Dena is wonderful and approachable, providing focus and connection whether you are in person or remote on zoom. Many wonderful workshops have been an added benefit, expanding my knowledge and practice in ways I had no idea existed.

Sherry Hawkins: I love the peace and serenity of Sun and Moon Yoga Studio. Such a warm and gentle vibe. One of my favorite teachers is Carol Stehl. Not only is she infinitely knowledgable about yoga, she has a mesmerizing voice that allows the relaxation of her practice to seep into every cell of your body…

Sharon DeAngelis: I have been taking a gentle yoga class from Asya Haikin for the last five years. She is a fantastic yoga instructor! The flow of her class and the transition through poses is easy to follow and her explanation of the value of the positions makes the class enjoyable, relaxing and is something I look forward to every week. She has a calming effect on her classes and is always willing to adjust and advise poses to accommodate everyone in the class. Asya accomplishes all of the this whether you take her class in studio or on zoom. Sharon DeAngelis
