Flow Yoga Center: what do users think?

Bonnie Lessans: Flow is one of my favorite things about the neighborhood; I miss it terribly now that we are in a different neighborhood! The studio is tucked away next to Whole Foods on P Street, and the spaces are cozy. The teachers are fabulous: I have been in a class with Joan now for 3 years and can't say enough about how wonderful she is. I also have taken the prenatal yoga class on Sundays for a while, which is great with Jen! Most of the other teachers I go to (not as consistently) are also great. Everyone is well-trained and quick to help with accommodations and anything injury-related.

Melissa Luke: I adore the Flow Yoga studios. I really appreciate that the instructors recognize students trying to bust out of the 1.5 level and really become more advanced in their practices without being pushy or too demanding, but expecting improvement. I also would like to give a shout out to Anna at Flow for being the best damn heated flow instructor I've ever had. She's intense but in a great way! Clare in core is also amazing and I love/hate her for it.

justin hampton: Incredible classes and teachers for all levels of practice. The waiting area feels like a spa with its big bay windows, pillowed cushions, and fresh hot tea. The best part are the people there, both the Karma Yogi’s & Fellow practitioners, it is a wonderful community

Samantha Power: All of the classes are beautifully taught by teachers will an intention to guide, strengthen, and heal. Many classes have a spiritual dimension as well, something I was looking for when I came to Flow. I feel lucky to be a part of this amazing community!

Tierra Wilson: I’ve attended yoga sessions with Ashley Allison. I always leave feeling so renewed, strengthened, and mentally relaxed.....and the music is always good!

Luke Lukens: The most consistently excellent studio in DC. Offers a variety of styles with knowledgeable teachers in each.
Response: Wow, thank you! We hope to get you on our roster one of these days too!!!

Sandy Major: Incredible rude staff! Classes weren’t as good as advertised compared to other yoga centers. Strongly not recommended!
Response: Greetings Samkeh. I'm so sorry to hear that you had any kind of negative experience at Flow - esp. any lack of warmth or kindness from our staff. That's something we prioritize with all of our staff, and we are 100% committed to getting right. We'd be more than happy to offer you a full refund for your class/es, and would also love to hear any details about when this occurred and what happened, so that we can follow up constructively with whomever was involved on our end to get it resolved to your (and our!) satisfaction. Please contact us at your convenience at happiness@flowyogacenter.com. Kindly, the team at Flow.

Terrance Flood: I never tried yoga before but these people were really great.

Margarito Linares: (Translated by Google) Well for the whole community I have never been to this place but I would like it. Be training stand up of this community to overcome. My energies from my body and thus leave always successful in everything that I intend (Original) Bien para toda la comunidad yo nunca he estado en este lugar pero me gustaria. Estar fomando parate de esta comunidad para superar. Mis energias de mi cuerpo y asi salir sienpre exitoso en todo lo que me propogo

Washington Yoga Center: what do users think?

Jennifer Dances: I have practiced yoga for much if my life, traveling and experiencing yoga studios wherever I am in the world. I've been with the Washington Yoga Center for many years and it is top among all the studios and teachers I've experienced. I am so grateful to call it my yoga home. The teachers are wonderful, knowledgeable, diverse, caring, and professional. Whether you take class with Alice, David, Jen, Ronnie, Stanley, Susan or any of the others - you will not be disappointed. There is something for everyone. The studio management is amazingly supportive, welcoming, and caring, and always has the community's well-being top of mind. I highly and enthusiastically recommend the Washington Yoga Center and I hope to see you there soon.

Elaine Su: I've been coming here for a few months now. I enjoy practicing yoga here. The manager, Kaitlin, is very friendly and helpful. I will recommend this yoga studio to my friends.

Allyson Kramer: I've been practicing here for years. The quality of teachers is awesome! There are various yoga classes offered- easy to find something for everyone. The recordings library and zoom classes have been a blessing during covid. Great owner and managers too. Helpful and kind. I can not say enough nice things about the studio.

Emily Pedneau: This studio feels like home, and really fosters a beautiful yoga community. I've never had a bad class, and I enjoy all of the teachers. Throughout the pandemic, they have been communicative, adaptable, and a real source of support. Their transition to online classes was flawless, and I have no doubt their transition back to the studio will be the same.

Cecile Fruman: I have been a longtime member of WYC. It's one of the best yoga studios in DC, offering a wide array of classes taught by outstanding, seasoned and thoughtful teachers. The studio was swift to move to online classes during Covid and has continued to offer the same variety and quality of classes. This is more than a studio - it's a community of yogis who share a passion and are driven to cultivate a positive environment. I would highly recommend WYC to all those who are seeking to start or deepen their yoga practice. And it looks like classes will be moving back to in person in January 2022 - I can't wait!

Kaili Mang Jeyarajah: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityThis is a yoga studio that offers teachers plenty of creative freedom and support, so you have access to a broad range of yoga styles and many classes at different times of day. They have stayed faithfully online during the entire pandemic! We are looking forward to them carefully opening in person as well, very soon.

Susan Cooper: Positive: Communication, QualityLove, love, love this studio. I have been practicing here for 16 years. The variety of classes offered for all levels, the quality of the teachers, some who have been there as long as I have, and the low key welcoming vibe make this a perfect yoga studio. Highly recommend.

Brenda Mejia: Positive: QualityWYC is a wonderful studio, with excellent teachers, management and a community of yogis that truly care about each other's well-being. There is a nice variety of classes and something for everyone, no matter your ability or experience!

Emma Mehrabi: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI’ve been going to WYC for several years now and absolutely love them. They transitioned flawlessly into pandemic yoga teaching online, and I’m so happy that my favorite instructor, Audrey Roxas, is still teaching for them. Can’t say enough great things!

Laura Laudone: I've practiced here a long time, I enjoy the variety of classes and teachers. The studio has done a good job of going virtual during the pandemic, but I'm looking forward to in-person classes again.

Lighthouse Yoga Center: what do users think?

Jennifer Holshue: I love Lighthouse. The teachers, the variety of classes, a ton of interesting workshops, the unpretentious vibe, and community-focused ethos have been a welcome presence in the neighborhood since coming to their Kennedy Street location. I try to practice with them at least a couple of times a week, and with online and in-person classes available, it’s convenient and fun. Everyone, teachers and students alike, have all always been kind and welcoming. The studio itself is always clean and obviously well cared for. Highly recommended!!

Kelsi Van Veen: Amazing community, tons of great classes and workshops, wonderful people. Just recently started taking classes here and I wish I wasn’t so busy because they have so many fun workshops to try! The classes I have taken have all been fantastic. It’s quite clear the studio has attracted a community of diverse, wonderful, and welcoming human beings. Pics are from an outdoor class with Jazmin a few weeks back. She was fantastic and connected with and recognized the needs of each one of her students. As someone that has only dabbled in yoga, I was glad to find a place that is unpretentious but that has extremely knowledgeable teachers to learn from!
Response: Thank you Kelsi! We really appreciate your support!!!

Amanda G: Great community and quality yoga. The owner and all teachers and staff at Lighthouse Yoga are committed to teaching a serious yoga practice that everyone can benefit from on and off the mat. The new location on Kennedy Street is a gem that gives this great community a place it can call home. I've been attending classes since June 2018, and really love the variety of classes from the Kundalini classes (this is the only studio in the DC metro area that focuses on a strong Kundalini program) to the variety of Hatha and Vinyasa classes. I quickly became a regular here, and I've seen that everyone who attends classes is welcoming to those who are new members, new to yoga, or people just visiting DC.

Kelsi Van Veen: Lighthouse Yoga Center has been a wonderful find since moving to Petworth. Such a diverse community of people and they are so welcoming! I really enjoy being able to try many different types of yoga classes, and there seem to be a ton of great events on the schedule every month. Having the flexibility to take online classes from home as well has been great for my busy schedule. Highly recommend.

Tara Lemerise: Lighthouse Yoga Center is a gem. Beautiful space with welcoming staff and teachers. It's so encouraging to find a yoga studio that is invested in supporting the community, knowing your name and your story, and welcoming you just as you are. Everyone here is interested in helping you get what you need from yoga. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

M: I have been coming to the studio for 4 years. I love that the studio offers so many options to take Kundalini yoga, especially in D.C. proper. Julie, the studio owner, is the epitome of quality, community, diversity, inclusion, and social justice. I see this also amongst those who come as well. I love the variety of instructors and workshops/retreats that I have had over the years. There is always something new in the mix, whether theme/series/knowledge that I glean from the instructors as well as from my fellow yogis. And I do like the option to take Pilates and other yoga classes as a member. :-) I have made some of my deepest and closest bonds being apart of this community. And I'm so grateful!

Shely Benitah: The online virtual kundalini classes have made such a difference in my life. I've been attending almost every day and wow does it make a difference. Julie (Jiwan Shakti Kaur) is the best, always offering such powerful classes. Such a friendly community that is welcoming with open arms and supportive always encouraging healing, spirituality and growth. Oh so grateful for these classes, book club and workshops offered, the teachers and community. Highly recommend :)

Jazmín González Moya: A place where you're noticed, cared and appreciated. Lighthouse likes to build community, to help each other out, and the quality of yoga is excellent, too many different teachers with their unique styles of sharing their passion: Yoga. This is a place where you can come to be yourself, be treated with love and always feeling encouraged to grow and become a better version of yourself!

Emily Tamkin: I'd been to Lighthouse Yoga Center a few times before the pandemic. Since stay at home started, however, I've taken multiple classes a week every week. Their online kundalini classes have arguably been the thing/service that's helped me the most during this time - they are such a good exercise for the body and the mind. I look forward to be able to go back far more than a few times in person.

B C: Great Kundalini Yoga studio. Very authentic, with great teachers , feels very neighborhoody and reasonable. I just started and although a bit far for me, I look forward to coming . Just like other reviews stated , easy to register on line, friendly and true sense of sharing the art of yoga with community. Highly recommend!

Bhakti Yoga DC: what do users think?

emily fedele: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityBhakti Yoga DC is unlike any other yoga studio I've been to. The workshops and retreats are truly life changing. Gopi's classes are very powerful physically and spiritually. I'm so grateful for this healing center in DC, the community is extremely unique.

Erin Doolin: I went to the studio for the first time and it was a great experience! The yoga class was very good and the instructor did a great job with assists and helping me improve different stances and poses.

Emily Tallo: Bhakti Yoga DC is the best yoga studio in DC if you want a rigorous yet mindfulness-focused yoga experience. I have attended on average 1-2 classes per week since the start of 2019, as well as at least 2 special workshops ("soundbath meditation" workshops). The main studio space is large and beautifully decorated, and you usually don't end up feeling too cramped even if the class is full. (The smaller studio can get cramped if the classes are full, but the classes in there usually aren't.) The community there is great as well, and you really get to see the same faces every time you come back to the studio. Stand-out instructors for me included Lawrence, Cynthia, and Yvette, who were all fantastic at putting together sequences that didn't get boring and were physically challenging. They all provided excellent hands-on instruction, meditative guidance, and often helped me after class with poses I was struggling with. Biggest disclaimer: All classes at Bhakti are going to be more difficult than similarly described yoga classes at other studios. Mixed level vinyasa classes are a challenge for almost anyone, and even candlelight flow and level 1 classes can often be quite intensive. As a newbie it can be intimidating, but my yoga practice really evolved while I was there because of the challenging classes--so it's up to you if that's what you want. All of the instructors I had were really helpful in providing multiple pose options and making it clear you can take breaks/change up the flow if you need to. Bhakti really emphasizes yoga that feels good to your body over yoga that looks good. Overall, 10/10 experience at Bhakti!

Ka'ila: Gopi is an amazing instructor. She embodies the true practice of yoga, and brings to her students a way to implement yoga not only through the asana practice, but in our daily lives.

Ezra Jay Kottler: Positive: QualityBhakti Yoga is such a great studio! Beautiful and calming ambiance, caring and knowledgeable instructors who are experts in the holistic practices of yoga - not just the physical asanas but also the mental and spiritual components.

Shelley Cazares: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityBhakti’s livestream classes are always fantastic, especially when I’m traveling away from DC! The video and audio are strong and clear, and it’s easy to connect. Thanks!

K W: I just moved into the area, and I am so happy I found Bhakti Yoga DC! I was a little nervous since I was at my old yoga studio for three years. However, everyone was so lovely and welcoming. The space instantly makes you feel relaxed and that you are going to experience real, authentic yoga. The studio also provides mats for students to use for free which was so wonderful because I currently don't have a mat! Moreover, my class with Braja was superb. After one class, I'm already conscious of my posture outside of the studio. I'm grateful to have found a new yoga studio home!

Kandin Unger: I love this yoga studio. As someone who's been doing yoga sporadically for years and years, I feel like I'm engaging with the practice on a whole new level and in a whole new way here. I feel motivated to come often, and I love my experience. The teachers are excellent and really care about your wellbeing, and I love the community of fellow yogis coming to engage in their own practice. I feel like I'm able to tap into a sense of my own spirituality, and that has really deepened my practice as well as enhanced my life. <3 I'm so grateful.

Ingrid Duran: It is one of the best yoga studios in the area with really great teachers who are connected to the spirit. Bhakti feels like home. I have been coming to this studio for two years and I absolutely get so much out of the yoga classes, the philosophical discussions at satsang, womens circle, yoga lunch, and a history of so many different workshops that Bhakti offers. I highly recommend this studio and all of the teachers there.

Shizu Okusa: Love this studio! I go almost everyday and the instructors are amazing. Each teacher has a special touch and flow when they do their classes so Id recommend trying everyone with an open mind. I haven't tried other studios but I also have zero desire to move studios :)

CorePower Yoga: what do users think?

Rose D: Tyler is a great instructor. She should teach more classes. Unfortunately many get canceled. Lindsey and Tyler are also good but less intense. The studio is generally clean and the classes are comfortable in terms of spacing. Weekend classes are very packed but not as bad as the georgetown location, which is entirely unacceptable. The locker area is not particularly clean there and the overcrowding of classes is poorly managed (signing up for class won’t guarantee you a spot, nor will you want it once you walk in and see how jam packed it is). Dupont and city center are definitely better locations

Stefan Smith: I travel to DC regularly for business, and usually visit the CityCenter studio when I am in town. I decided to try Dupont Circle last Saturday because there was a great class time that really fit with my schedule (there seem to be a lot less C2 classes compared with YS). I really enjoyed my experience! The studio was easy to find and was conveniently located. I was warmly welcomed, and everything was clean and in great condition. I took C2 with Kia at 9:30. I was blown away to learn that this was her first class as a teacher! Kia was confident, poised, and easy to follow, and she definitely came across as caring and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed her flow; it was challenging, creative, and really allowed us to use and explore our space. As always, the class as a whole had a great positive energy; I have been using CP on Demand for the past year, and it has been great getting back into the studio with other people! I will definitely return to the Dupont Circle studio when I am back in DC!

Maria Langholz: One of my favorite CorePower locations in DC. Like that there are lots of people in the classes, and the instructors are A+. LOVE Rebeca's Sculpt class. Tons of fun and a phenomenal workout. Be sure to get there early to get the spot you want for your mat!

Reggie Johnson: Took Kell’e class last week and it was amazing. She’s very knowledgeable and has amazing energy . I will be back again to take her class. I’m no yoga pro at all but she helped me with the tough position and I really appreciated that.

e j: Great studio. I’ve really enjoyed their classes and instructors. Giving 3 stars because they’ve recently updated their schedule to no longer offer the basic class at this location except for the weekends. That doesn’t work for me. Will now have to cancel my membership.

Adrianne Daisy Hjalmar: Corepower is where I came to truly enjoy yoga! I love vinyasa in the heat format. I used to be a gym rat and would attend various yoga studios for my yoga time. Once I found CPY, I no longer needed my gym - Sculpt classes gets my cardio and toning! I no longer needed to go to Bikhram yoga studios - HPF does that! And of course C2s are great and very challenging . When I don't want a lot of heat I slip into a challenging C1, which is pretty much unheated. Instructors are super friendly and I've made friends with other students that I still have three years later! Love the community!

Taylor Camille Hood: It's a convenient location and decent sized studio and they really do work your core. I enjoy the classes and would like to continue going, just wish there were classes at 2 or 3 in the afternoon here.

Jackie Moruzzi: My instructor was so friendly and encouraging--her 8am sculpt was packed and it was a great workout

Maria Webb: The instructors are friendly and welcoming, most importantly, they make sure you get the most of your practice.

Zae: This place is perfect! There are some great people that work here that are there to make sure you get the most out of your practice.

CorePower Yoga: what do users think?

Yaro Levada: I had a fantastic experience! I come from Germany and we just don't have this kind of cool, dynamic, fun classes there, it was awesome! I felt so refreshed, energized and motivated after Sculpt at CityCenterDC. It was clean and studios on the second floor overlooking the street were light and spacious. I LOVED the playlist too, great music!

Mardi Muru: Always a great experience at this location. Most recently I tried their no heat yoga sculp. By the end you could have fooled me with the no-heat claim, I had worked up a sweat just fine!

traci kato-kiriyama: Good, clean facility, really nice staff. Convenient location for convention center attendees. Hot Power Fusion class wasn’t too hot - temp gauge was up but heater is competing with the cold from outside hitting the wall of windows. Two single stall restrooms per dressing rooms designated “women” and “men”

Joe Paul: First off, Mandy is amazing! I have been seriously weight training for several years and CPY's YS Yoga Sculpt challenges me every single time. I always leave that experience feeling very centered, highly motivated, and like I can conquer anything!

Bita Motesharrei: I have been a founding member of Corepower since they first opened their first studio in GT. I have always had issues with the cleanliness of the studios. It all depended on the manager of the studio at the time since they do not have professional cleaners. Two days ago I took a class at the CityCenter location which is my favorite studio and it was so dirty and gross. Bathrooms were absolutely filthy with hair all over the floor and even inside the studio there was a thick layer of dust at the ledger and it completely grossed you out when you try to practice. I told the manager but she was dismissive. There is no way to contact the headquarters since they never respond to you. Plus, there are not as many classes scheduled anymore since they opened back up after the pandemic. I am very disappointed. I hate to write a poor review but I am hoping they pay attention because I used to love this place and I have continued my membership to help support them even though I have not been taking as many classes since after they opened post pandemic but I’m not sure if I want to keep my monthly membership going anymore

Stefan Smith: I travel to DC regularly for work and always practice at CityCenter when I’m in town. The location is perfect, and I’m always welcomed and made to feel like I’m a “regular”. The classes at CityCenter are always well attended and have an inspiring energy. The studio and other facilities are also always clean and well maintained. CorePower is a pretty physical and strenuous style of yoga. I don’t think I’ve ever sweat more than I do at CPY!!

Genie Concepcion: The sound system was busted but the class led by Elizabeth Harris was still amazing! I like how there are designated spots per mat now. We’re no longer on top of each other during class.

Fuming Cao: Great studio, right above a flywheel. There is a 7 day free trial for first timers, easy to sign up. Everyone is super friendly. Definitely bring water and towel, recommend doing any class but the sculpt class if it's your first time. Rooms are heated quite a bit. Don't borrow the mat, not good quality and little black crumbs come off when you apply any friction.

Nicole Williams: In DC on a trip and was looking for a yoga facility close to my hotel. I was more than surprised by the facility as well as the class itself. Absolutely amazing. I attended the C2 class was a great workout and enjoyed the instructors style. Locker room, showers, and amenities are super clean. I definitely recommend CorePower Yoga.

Lindsay Hart: I was in from out of town just for the day and found Core Power Yoga on a whim. I LOVE that they had a middle-of-the-day class (12pm). The teacher was amazing, perfect heat and flow. Really enjoyed the class and studio and will definitely be back!

CorePower Yoga: what do users think?

Andy Tables: I love (heated) CorePower but the heat at this location (the only location accessible to me given my location and work schedule) has been broken for several weeks. At first they noted that the classes were UNHEATED on the schedule but then they stopped being so diligent. I showed up for a class that was not heated and it was cold & muggy in the room. Really unpleasant experience. Then they got these rented(?) portable heaters that raise the temperature to somewhere in the 70s but add so much humidity that you can’t see anything in the mirror after the first 10-15min of class (essential!) and the floor is so slippery at the end of class that it could cause a serious injury to someone exiting. Instructors joke about it. It’s again very muggy and unpleasant, like sitting in someone else’s sweat I understand that things happen and maintenance always comes up, but they aren’t marking the classes as UNHEATED when they should because the portable heaters just don’t work. I’m disappointed and feel like I wasted my membership money. It’s misleading and I won’t return until the classes are actually heated (but I won’t know when that is because they don’t communicate honestly)

Rory Merrill: CorePower has me hooked! I came for the first time in August and had the best experience. The studio is always so clean and the instructors are very friendly. They will help you with your yoga practice wherever you are. I would definitely recommend this studio!!

Caroline Fernandez: I have taken two classes at CPY, both hot yoga classes, and they have been great. I am not a yogi by any means, but I found the classes very easy to follow. Note that at CP, there is no instructor in the front of the class, so I wouldn't go if it is your first ever, ever yoga class. The classes are small in size and you get a lot of attention from the instructor. I would totally recommend the candlelight class as it a challenge for balance but also a time for you to reflect on your own yoga practice. The facilities are clean but towels/water bottle/mats cost money. The studio has their own fancy filtered water fountain and the locker rooms are nice and clean. There are also showers on site if you are heading elsewhere right after class. Be sure to bring your own lock for a locker.

Lauren Legum: My experience with Core Power began at Glover Park! Sculpt got me hooked from the beginning, and now I am on in sculpt teacher training. The class has made my body so much more toned and is a motivating way to lift weights with other high intensity activities! I also enjoy C2's and HPF classes to deepen my yoga practice. I love the warm, small studio vibe. Each class is different dependent on the teacher, and I enjoy the various strengths of each teacher. Sarah Freedman, Kalli, and Julia- I really enjoy your classes!

Cigdem Jorgensen: I love this studio and I love that they have side mirrors as well! It’s super clean and organized. Everyone’s very friendly too. I tried a free week this summer and since then I’m in love with Sculpt! I go to the studio every other day and every time is so exciting. The app is super friendly and easy to track my practices too. The only problem is that the Black Tag Membership is WAY TOO expensive!!! There should be a package for 6 months or 1 year with cheaper prices otherwise it’s not affordable for many people unfortunately.

Billy Franch: The best part about CorePower Yoga Glover Park is the instructors. They are all amazing! The studio space is great for yoga, too- the lighting, heating, humidity, and music are on point.

Ali Hendi, MD: The studio is clean and has friendly staff. The new manager is receptive and engaged. Classes push you to do more without judgement. Great overall experience.

Margaret Fisher: Fabulous community that embraces all yogis -- from first-timer to well-experienced. I look forward to the warm welcome I receive when attending classes there. Top-notch experience all around and SO beneficial!

Maria Gaffney: I love CorePower! They have so many different classes and have them available all day! The instructors are super friendly overall it's a great experience.

Nicole Olshan: I love everything about CPY and their Glover Park studio certainly does NOT disappoint! Great classes, encouraging staff, and a positive aura are just a few of the reasons why I love it oh so much!

CorePower Yoga: what do users think?

Rose D: I’ve been to this location a few times and each time I find that the floors in the studios have a good amount of hair and a film of dirt. I also noticed that the showers are not cleaned between classes. I have noticed the drains were clogged with hair on a few occasions. The classes are good but it very much depends on the instructor. Also, it is worth noting that the classes are sometimes “at capacity” and they will turn people away who have signed up because there is zero space between mats/people in the studio. I think this is too much. They should manage this better. They shouldn’t let a bunch of people walk in and then turn away those who signed up. The classes also shouldn’t be so packed that people have to navigate around hitting each other, especially coming out of the pandemic. Each class is heated, which is kind of unbelievable given that it only decreases the quality and flow of air and thus increases your chances of catching whatever illnesses people may bring to the session. While you can wear a mask, it’s not ideal given how hot the room is and with everyone huffing and puffing nearly on top of one another it’s not much help. This studio really needs to manage overcrowding because it detracts from everyone’s experience and that is not fair given how expensive each session is. It’s certainly not a stress free zone.

Nutiatu Adetayo Adesokan: Elizabeth is such an amazing person. My friends and I stopped by just to ask questions and she greeted us with open arms and we ended up discussing life and our yoga practice during the pandemic. She suggested doing the c1 class to get back in the grove of things. We laughed and had such a good time. You guys have such a great employee there!!

Anna B.: There are some good instructors at this location but the studio overpacks it’s classes. The weekend sculpt class taught by Olivia is uncomfortably packed and because it’s a heated studio it’s even more uncomfortable to breathe. People are mat to mat (not even inches apart) for that particular class. I’ve seen people who signed up turned away because they let too many walk ins join. It’s actually pretty gross in terms of vibe and not at all hygienic. People hardly have room to do the exercises, and they are often overly complicated for a mixed group of expertise. Ashley’s classes are packed too but there is usually at least some inches distance between mats. It would be helpful if this studio could advertise what the capacity for each class looks like so that people are not uncomfortable when they attend or , shockingly, turned away after signing up. General yoga 1-2 classes are not as packed but the instructors for those classes are just okay.. The dupont location and city center location do not seem to overpack their classes , but I suppose their management is handling class capacity better.

Gayla Mithzue Jimenez Martinez: My first time ever trying yoga sculpt and it has been life-changing! I love the energy in all the classes and the feeling I get after every session. I recommend it 100%

Kalyn Letizia: I took the Saturday 12:30 PM sculpt class with the instructor, Emily. It was AMAZING. The flow was so great that the hour went by in a flash. I felt like I was able to get my yoga and a great workout in at once. It's definitely one of my favorite classes of all time!

Kristen Murray: Yoga sculpt is the BEST class. Great work out, slightly heated room. I received a discount on a ten class pack on Gilt city and the classes NEVER expire which is unheard of for workout packages in DC!

Susan Brown: We had a blast! We do not live in the DC area but were in town visiting and enjoy finding fun workout stops in our family travels. My husband, 15 year old daughter and I took a terrific vinyasa flow session. We all highly recommend.

Jessica Glaspey: I enjoyed the intensity of workout and the blend of yoga and weights for Yoga Sculpt. Great studio set up, fantastic instructor! I will definitely be back for sure!

Nicole Lohr: I like the convenience of this studio but it is very pricey. I tried it out because of a groupon but cant afford to continue with them. They have a clean studio and 99% of the instructors are friendly and helpful.

John DeRiggi: Rebeca G's sculpt class is an incredible workout. Perfect blend of aerobic and all around strength training

Haute Bodhi: what do users think?

Natalie Goodman: The classes are okay. I loved Hannah’s classes. Maggie, the owner, is disorganized and irresponsible. I was charged for 4 months of membership after I left the city and it took me several months of painstaking follow up to finally receive a refund. The actual yoga here is fine but there are plenty of better studios in DC with more honest and ethical staff.

Chelsea M: This studio has great vibes and Allison gave a wonderful class. Very clean facility and friendly practitioners. If you love hot yoga or are interested in it, I definitely recommend this studio. **If you are driving make sure to come a bit early to have enough time to find parking!

Lara Saade: Haute Bodhi is an amazing studio all around, good instructors, class variety, clean facilities and friendly yogis. Maggie, the owner, is so knowledgeable and she's an awesome teacher. I highly recommend this studio.

Michael Caskin: Haute Bodhi has changed my life for the better. After two hip surgeries over the last 10-12 years, my mobility, flexibility, and core strength were all greatly diminished. However, through a consistent yoga practice, which includes Pilates, yinyasa, yin, and 26&2 hot yoga, I've made tremendous progress in all aspects of my physical (and mental) recovery. Maggie is a wonderful teacher, who brings a real passion to each and every class - she mixes up the structure of each class to keep them interesting and challenging and she always varies the music (some classes don't include music). I strongly recommend that anyone who is considering yoga, come and give Haute Bodhi a try ... I promise that you won't regret it! Michael

CM L: I’ve been coming to Haute Bodhi for almost five years now and it is an incredibly welcoming studio. Haute Bodhi has a great vibe with great instructors…I also love that it is a small, local business. I highly recommend!

L Berg: High quality and nice instructors as well as a good sense of community between attendees. It's a clean and professional environment, and the new student pass is a great deal.

Donald Hertzmark: Have been going to HB for about 3.5 years. Instructors are top notch and studio/community is great. Instructors offer excellent tips for all levels of practice.

Hannah Sadollah: Fantastic, authentic 26 & 2 yoga. Very friendly instructions and a quiet and clean studio. Location is a short walk from the Tenleytown metro. I would highly recommend this studio if you're looking for bikram yoga in the DC area.

Mary Slater: Great studio and teacher , felt welcomed and safe in a new, difficult yoga experience. I plan to go back !

Juliette T: First time returning to bikram since COVID started…felt so welcomed. Nothing beats coming to class in person especially to Haute Bodhi. The community is the best!

Circle Yoga Cooperative: what do users think?

Volunteer Fhnn: This has been my yoga studio since 2010 and I'm so grateful for it. The studio's attentiveness to our well being and safety is among its many attributes. Instructors are extremely skillful for all levels of students. Being a co-op is added bonus! CY has managed through this pandemic offering Zoom classes that kept us all going. There is simply no other yoga studio in the DC metro area to compare to its variety of classes, skill level and management. Anyone interested in beginning/returning to yoga or expanding their yoga practice, this is the place for you.
Response: We're so glad that you've been part of the Circle Yoga community for more than 10 years!! Thank you for sticking with us through the pandemic. We would not have made it through without committed students like you.

Danielle Lewis: Circle Yoga is a terrific place to practice yoga - safe, welcoming, and inclusive. I took in-person classes for many years before the pandemic and appreciated their experienced teachers, lovely studio, and willingness to learn and evolve over time. It absolutely isn't a "scene" the way some DC studios can be. They have worked so hard to pivot and pivot again during the pandemic, and are now offering both excellent online and in-person classes (with safety front of mind).
Response: Thank you, thank you, Danielle! We really appreciate your support and your kind review. Loyal students like you have been so important to getting us through the craziness of the last couple of years. Phew!

Leah Hudson: Circle Yoga is an incredible studio. The staff is very warm and welcoming, and the studio is open and clean. I was drawn to the studio because they were one of the few in the DC area that offered in-person prenatal yoga classes. I felt safe with vaccine and mask requirements in place. The instructor, Jen, is amazing and offers modifications to help each individual.
Response: Leah, I'm so glad you're enjoying your Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga classes at Circle Yoga! Yes, in-person prenatal classes are hard to find in DC right now. We're so happy to have you and other prenatal and postnatal students in the building again. :)

Mira Courpas: Circle Yoga isn't only a yoga studio. It is a community of caring, involved individuals. The teachers and students are invested in each other and the world around them. It has been a lifeline for me throughout the pandemic, as they navigated the safety protocols and made decisions to keep the studio running and the community safe. I am back in person and it feels great to be there live with my wonderful teachers and classmates! Mira
Response: It's so wonderful to have you and other students back in person at the studio, Mira. YOU helped keep us going through the pandemic—it was a two-way street! Thanks for making Circle Yoga your yoga home in Washington, DC.

Elizabeth Kingery: I've been going to Circle Yoga since 2012 and am still impressed by the quality of the teachers, the wide variety of classes to choose from and the overall experience of the studio. The teachers are knowledgeable, careful to prevent injury and the staff is friendly and responsive. During the pandemic their pivot to zoom classes was a lifesaver. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Response: Many thanks for your kind review, Betsy. We're so glad to have you as one of our long-time students, and I hope that Circle Yoga will continue to be your yoga home for many years to come!

Emily Austin: I went to my first in-person yoga class today in 3.5 years at Circle Yoga. I was a little nervous because it had been so long and my body is very different than the last time I practiced (I've had 2 babies since then + the pandemic happened!) Also, I realized on my way there that I had forgotten to bring a mask. From the moment I walked in, everyone at Circle Yoga made me feel confident and welcome. The person at the front desk quickly checked me in and gave me a disposable mask. The class itself was 75 minutes. At first I thought it was a little slow (lots of stretching), but it heated up and I was sweating by the end. I feel so lucky to have Circle Yoga in my neighborhood & definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to practice in a respectful and positive place.
Response: I'm so glad your re-entry to yoga felt good, Emily. Welcome back! We're very happy to have you at Circle Yoga.

Jessica Ewers: We absolutely love Circle Yoga and have been taking classes for years! My almost 12 year old daughter has always been treated with kindness, compassion and love. The summer camp is the best! They incorporate art, movement, and positive self-awareness. I highly recommend this beautiful establishment.
Response: We are so glad that you and your daughter have been with us for so many years! We're looking forward to another great summer of Circle Yoga Summer Camp, and happy that J**** will be there again. :)

Sheri Denkensohn: I began going to Circle Yoga remotely during the pandemic. I live in Virginia and would never be able to have access to the studio. It is fantastic! I specifically enjoy yoga Nidra and gentle yoga. The instructors are top-notch and class feels like a community. I would not go anywhere else! It is well worth the money.
Response: Thank you, Sheri! We're so happy that the virtual options make it possible for you to join us for Circle Yoga classes—and without the commute from Virginia to DC. Thanks for being part of the CYC community!

Joan Alker: I love, love, love Circle Yoga and have been going there for years. The teachers are absolutely top notch and the studio is incredibly welcoming for people of all levels of experience. There are virtual and in person options. I have done yoga all over the country and this studio is very special.
Response: Joan, thank you for the wonderful review! You and your family are a very important of the CYC community. We're so happy that you've made Circle Yoga your yoga home in Washington, DC.

Kristina Carson: Circle Yoga is such a special place for me and my family. I started taking their prenatal classes with my first and continued growing with their class offerings from there. So lucky to have a such a bright and happy studio close to home!
Response: We are lucky to be connected to you, too, Kristina! Thanks for making Circle Yoga your yoga home in the neighborhood.

Epic Yoga DC: what do users think?

Alyshah Aziz: If I had only 5 words to describe Epic Yoga DC, I'd say: magical, inclusive, passion, peaceful, and strong. Luckily, this isn't a tweet, so I have more room! If you're looking for a yoga studio, great, try out Epic Yoga. If you're looking for something more than a yoga studio, great, you should definitely check out Epic. They're a yoga studio and more - they're a community! The space | Can it get more stunning? Art on the walls. Exposed brick. Fireplaces as homes for yoga blocks and floor pillows. lots of real wood! skylights in nearly every room. This is as DC as it gets! The place has so much character. It's beautiful. The people | Epic has a great mix of teachers that introduce you to different yoga styles and practice. The studio owner, Emma, is WOC (women of color) - love to see it! And the co-studio manager, Amie, (hopefully that's the right title) has a background rich in science and yoga. All of the teachers are just as warm with interesting stories, experiences, and practices to share with others. Most of their teachers don't follow cookie cutter classes - Amie and Emma's are some of my favorite yoga classes that I have ever been to! I loved meeting both of them so much that I recently went through their Yoga Teacher Training program from 2021 - 2022. I am so glad that I chose Epic and that Epic chose me! They're a small business - and we know our small businesses have it tough right now more than ever. I've only ever written <10 reviews for places, but this was worth the time. I really love this place! It made me feel comfortable practicing yoga in this busy city. I love it!

Alyssa: Beautiful, locally owned studio space with a wide variety of classes and particularly solid classes/cues for advanced yogis, which I appreciated. I had tried out a few different studios when I moved to DC in 2019 and chose Epic Yoga. It was also a pleasure to teach here in-person (prior to Covid) and I’m grateful to Amie and Emma for providing me with that opportunity. Definitely check this studio out, either virtually or in-person!

Margaret Atkinson: I love this space—but, hands down, its biggest asset is Alex Hall. Her Soul Vibe Yoga Flow class was something I always looked forward to — I recently moved from D.C. and am so missing that practice. My workweek stress was no match! Not only is she the best teacher I’ve experienced in my 10+ years of yoga, but also an incredibly kind & thoughtful person — run, don’t walk to Alex’s class!

Nataliia Zubrytska: Favorite studio in the city, amazing space and teachers. Everyone has their own style where lies the beauty.

Catherine Carlstedt, MPH: Good classes, good teaches, tall ceilings give good vibes to classes. I like the focus on individual yoga teacher influence. Hot yoga isn't really hot but lukewarm. !!! It is very important to note!!! they require 10 DAYS NOTICE to MAKE ANY CHANGES to your account and then take about 5 DAYS TO RESPOND to email which is ONLY METHOD to CANCEL. So make sure if you don't want to be charged an extra $20 for changes to your membership, request CANCELLATION HALF WAY through a month, even if it is your trial month and you might not have been able to try out the studio. So really your trial month will most likely be $79. Hope this helps!

Rachel Custer: Coolest studio in the middle of Dupont neighborhood. The doorway is easy to miss and the stairwell up to the second floor studio feels sketchy but you get up there and it's a beautiful and peaceful space with several studios, fireplaces, exposed brick and big windows. Love starting my mornings here.

Lauryn D: I absolutely loved my experience here. I left feeling blissful, challenged and expanded - mentally and physically. The setting, the music, the instructor! The entire experience was fantastic. The name 'Epic' yoga is fitting and accurate af. Thank you!!

Brionne Griffin: What a fantastic place. After my first visit, I knew I'd found my new favorite studio. They offer an array of complimentary amenities (many of which you'd pay for at other studios) like mats, bath towels, face towels, hair products, etc. The instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable, and the space is huge and beautiful.

Joya Banerjee: This studio is about only one thing: making money. I was already less than impressed with the really negative environment in this studio- a ton of frowny-faced Beckies. What was really off putting was the fact that they spam you with emails with constantly changing deals and reminders to come back. The first time I went, they were running a special that gives you the first class free. You can’t but it online, only in person. I only found out after purchasing a class online. The woman at the desk said she’d apply it to my next class, but when I came back for another class, I was charged again for it. I then received an email about a deal for 40% off for 5 classes and purchased it. But it disappeared in their system and their website and app were making me purchase a class again. So I went to the studio early to sort it out, but the class was full. When I finally got to speak to someone about the issues, she said that my 5 class pass had already expired. I just bought it a couple weeks ago! She got super arrogant and entitled and said “those deals aren’t even offered by us, it’s an outside company.” I asked if she would consider extending the expiry date because I had to go overseas for work and had been away the past two weeks. She then tried to upsell me that if I spent another $90 five-class pass, she’d roll over my classes. I travel once a month overseas for work and don’t have the time or luxury to do 10 classes in a 30 day time frame. I asked if they could do a longer expiry date but she refused and tried to upsell me further on a $140 pass. I asked if she could apply the credit that receptionist promised to apply to my account, and she basically accused me of lying to get a free class. Least zen yoga experience ever... this studio is a hard pass for me and probably for anyone who isn’t a daily yoga practitioner with no outside life. I’m sticking with yoga district and hot yoga DC- much better vibes, the focus is on the yoga and not the money, and less claustrophobic/ brighter studios
Response: Here’s the situation from our perspective. Epic does not offer a free first time visit. Our introductory special is 2 weeks unlimited for $25. Thus, you wouldn’t be able to purchase this online as it does not exist. She purchased a 5 class pack at a 40% discount with a very clearly stated expiration date of 30 days. The expiration is short because of the discounted package (our typical 5 class pass expires after 3 months). As a courtesy to our customers, we will roll over unused classes with any new class purchase. The unused classes get the new purchases expiration date. She could have purchased a $21 drop in (this was offered) and had her classes reactivated. As a small business we rely on “making money” to stay open, but our values and focus is always on our community and the core tenants of yoga. Our studio owner is a person of color, referring to other people as “frowny faced Beckies” is judgmental and insulting to our diverse community.

Shivani K: Loved the yoga barre fusion class. Emma is a great teacher! After work hours classes are super packed. Far less people during lunch time and I preferred those. The classes in general were good.

532YOGA: what do users think?

Caroline Kades: 532Yoga offers a calm beautiful space for practising yoga. Teacher Suzanne Leitner-Wise was spot on in identifying what I needed to do to come into better alignment plus she gives clear concise cues with amazing breakdown of what needs to be done in any given pose. She is attentive to all and offers great adjustments. I love the way she sequences her classes, her humour and the whole ambience of 532yoga. It makes me wish I lived here so I could immerse myself in the yoga rather than just briefly visiting! And the class descriptions on the website are great, so don't hesitate whether you're a novice or an experienced yogi!
Response: Thank you for the review Caroline! We look forward to working with you again soon. Meanwhile, safe travels!

Dustin Phillips: What I love about Yoga 532 is the instructors do an amazing job of providing clear and simple instructions. They suggest modifications to each pose so that the classes always feel challenging for any skill level, while not overwhelming anyone who is still learning (like me). Even when the class is somewhat full, the instructors still offer personalized attention and help you get the most out of your stretches/poses. I have only been to classes by Suzanne, Maia, and Jon so far, but they have all been a pleasure to work with and I can’t wait to experience classes with some of the other instructors as well! Highly recommend!
Response: Thank you for taking the time to post a review, Dustin. We strive to make each class a great experience, so this is wonderful to hear!

Lindsey Hall: I can't say enough about how special this studio is. I've only just started attending classes at 532 yoga and feel inspired by the teachers, re-dedicated to my practice and FEELING STRONGER in just 2 weeks. The instructors are so knowledgeable and especially detailed in their description of the posture or movement that you actually do it the right way... and they adjust their instruction so that it's also the right way FOR YOU. Every session, I leave with pride for what I accomplished and excited about the next session.
Response: This is so wonderful to hear Lindsey, as this is the whole purpose of the practice. This is why we love sharing, supporting, and providing for the community. Thank you 🙏🏻

Dear Single Mom: I attended my very first yoga class and Lola was the instructor. I must say I was intimidated and didn't know what to expect but Lola was fantastic and very personable. I felt comfortable, her instruction was clear and concise, and I stretched in ways I didn't know my body needed. Not to mention, the studio was very clean and zen and parking was easy (on a beautiful Saturday afternoon). Don't just take my word for it, pop in and take a class with Lola and thank me later!
Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to post this review! We are delighted you had a great experience. Lola is amazing, and we are so pleased to have her as part of our team at 532YOGA! 🙏🏻

Karis Yoo: I went for my first class today and I was very impressed. I have been to most of the Yoga studios in the area once or twice over the past 20 years and never felt comfortable going back (I am not interested in hot yoga so I can't comment on those). They were all too intimidating for me to return as a beginner and not very inviting or staff were off-putting and not very welcoming for a sometimes awkward individual like myself. Also a few of the studios were a part of a chain that lacked any personal touch or real yoga feel (some also felt stiff and not very relaxing in general). 532Yoga didn't feel anything like my previous experiences elsewhere and it felt very warm and welcoming upon arrival and the class was very enjoyable for once. I can't wait to go back and try another class!
Response: That is so good to hear Karis! Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review. We look forward to welcoming you back soon! 🙏🏻

Chloe Loving: This studio fosters community, self-care, growth and love in a time where all of that and more is needed! The teachers all deliver high quality instruction while coming from a variety of diverse backgrounds. Suzanne has done an impeccable job allowing even virtual students to feel present during class time. Her artistic taste and eclectic style keeps you coming back for more of that same energy. Great location, easy to walk to a local restaurant for an outdoor meal or consider wandering a few blocks to the river front for an evening in Old Towne.
Response: We have an OMazing community, and we are so pleased you are part of it! Thank you for your kind words.

Brittany Grant: I took the Sunday night candlelight flow with Aleasa and it was a fantastic first experience with the studio. Great atmosphere in a beautiful space and the instructor’s energy was phenomenal. I’ll definitely be returning when I’m back in town!
Response: That’s so great to hear Brittany - thank you for sharing!

Asiha Grigsby: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality532 Yoga is a wonderful welcoming community of all walks and yoga experience. As soon as you cross the threshold you feel accepted into the space and encouraged to move through your practice exactly how your body leads you. I love this place. I am happy in the space. It is worth your time. Honor yourself by practicing here.
Response: Thank you Aisha. It is wonderful to hear that 532 is your ‘happy space’! We are honored to have helped build an amazing community.

Patricia Briggs: I've been practicing yoga for years and can honestly say this is the most professionally run, relaxing, and welcoming studio I have ever encountered. The teachers are top notch and I learn something in every single class. Thank you 532Yoga for following all the covid 19 safe guidelines and for remaining open as much as possible through the pandemic.
Response: Aww! Thank you! That means so much! 🙏🏻

Priscilla Totten: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality532Yoga is like my second home. Working at home and having no commute has freed me up to take more classes, so I try to be at alignment, ashtanga, yin and flow classes each week. The instructors are excellent; I value the fellowship within the studio and the depth that my yoga practice has gained.
Response: Thank you! We have a wonderful community here! 🙏🏻

Hot Yoga Capitol Hill: what do users think?

FrannieP 87: I love this studio so much that I had to come back and write a second review! I have been attending classes here for a while now and I can really speak to the atmosphere of the studio, the quality and care of the instructors and the benefits of practicing hot yoga. HYCH’s studio is so comfortable, welcoming and inviting. It truly feels like my home away from home. The studio is cleaned daily and they offer showers that makes it convenient, especially on days when your schedule is packed. They have a new water filtration system for practitioners who bring their own bottles and other beverages that you can purchase. Sometime after a hot and juicy class there is fresh fruit waiting for you in the lobby ☺️. I have grown to love all of the instructors at the studio. They really get to know you in a way that is conducive to helping you grow in your practice. They are always very supportive, friendly, and encouraging. Each instructor is always helpful and given me clear instructions in order for me to take and benefit from postures. I really love all of the diverse teaching styles. Yoga at this studio has really transformed me mentally, spiritually and physically!

Idalia Moore: The studio needs better ventilation. It started to become hard to breathe like there wasn't enough oxygen circulating in the studio. I had to step out to the back and catch some air and then return to the class a few times to avoid passing out. Seemed like it could be a safety issue for some folks... No other real complaints, instructor was cool, atmosphere felt chill and unpretentious could use some renovation and repair here and there. For $40 for the month it's not bad. Not sure if I would pay more than that though...

Crystal Norman: I've been going to this studio here and there for years now. It was great to begin with but I can tell you for certain that they are continually making new updates-keeping it fresh and interesting. I know a lot of folks new to Yoga are nervous about it so if its your first time I'd highly recommend the SPA yoga class that happens Friday and Sundays. It's the best place to ease into yoga and also incredible for avid practitioners. You won't find a kinder staff.

Francine Perry: So far I have attended three classes and I can say that every time I attend Hot Yoga on Capitol Hill I leave feeling restored and renewed. I love the energy and vibes of the teachers and participants. I have attended two classes with Kayleigh and she had been pretty amazing. She is great at pushing me when she see's the opportunities and supporting me when I need it! I look forward to sweating because you you all!
Response: Thank you so much, Francine. We delighted to hear that you're enjoying the studio!

Meisha Mcleod: First time going. Signed up for hot 26 express. From the moment I came in the woman at the desk was rude and gave off such Negative energy. Talking over you, not offering any details to new customers. She even told a customer in front of me to “re-write her name on the waiver so that it’s legible” after slamming her credit card on the counter. She was extremely unwelcoming and short. I was super disappointed when I realized she was also the instructor for the class. Amber’s pacing was fast and she never hesitated to call people out for not doing a move to her standards and TELLING you when you could drink water. Any class that Amber is teaching I will be sure to stay away from. Also don’t choose this class if your a first timer, due to her pacing it will not be the easiest transition. HOWEVER Alba made all th difference! I was optimistic enough to try another class (bought a month pass) The Spa yoga was AMAZING! So relaxing, candles lit tranquil music, very zen. I will going back Just because of this experience with Alba.

Chanel Smith: New Year’s Eve was a great class as are all classes at H Street. Journaling intentions, meditating to the celestial sound of a live gong, 90 minutes in my yoga practice ending at 12am was an inspiring way to bring in the new year. The yoga instructor, staff and participants aided in a wonderful experience. I am grateful for being able to participate.

Chelsea Andrews: I stumbled across this place on groupon and am so excited that I did! I began on Tuesday and have been attending everyday! I have had three instructors thus far, my first instructor was David G. He has been very instrumental and influential in what I have learned. He has corrected me on my form and provided me with a ton of support. He has a great pace. I also had Allison K and she too has a great tempo and energy. She also has a nice sense of humor. Most recently, I had LaShone W and I truly appreciated her! Her yoga has a different flare. One, her class had music. Then he sets, pace, target areas- were pleasantly different from the other classes that I had participated in. I loved it so much! I love how much I sweat, make sure you come here ready to be drencheddd. The studio is a perfect size. The locker room is pretty small. There's one bathroom stall, three showers, one bench...Theres maybe 12 or so lockers (Ive always been able to secure a locker). There are towels and water available for a small fee but i suggest that you just bring your own. There's street parking available, H street can be a struggle sometimes but it usually works out.

Valeria Giacomin: I have been at the studio for about a year before moving - I am quite addicted to the heated room and work out almost everyday (when I have time twice!), this to say that I have been to several studios and Hot Yoga Capitol Hill is just the BEST studio for variety of classes, quality of instructors, price/quality ratio, cleanliness of the space, sense of community. Lara, the owner, seemed to me a very kind woman who is not afraid to experiment with her business and to constantly improve it. Lara has assembled a dream-team, all teachers are superstars, I am not exaggerating... I recommend Rebecca, Alison, Jessie and David for hot yoga, Ari for vinyasa, La Shone for EVERYTHING!, Cincere for hot pilates. Last but not least, Mariam for HIIT Barre, this class is unique in the area and one of the best full-body workouts you can ever have in 60 mins, it incorporates props and work small muscles and core... Mariam has years of experience and it shows when you take her class. The studio is a big family, worth trying even if you are not a regular in the heated room.

Lynn Jester: My daughter and I thought that we were going to enjoy a hot yoga class together, but this class was horrible! I wasn’t sure if we paid them by the instructor’s (Allison) rude treatment of us her students. While the class states that it is designed for all levels, it does not cater to anyone who may have to take a break from the 105 degree room that smelled of odors not pleasant to the nose or pass out. Upon returning to the class, I attempted to at least practice some of my own slight moves only to be told to just lie still. The instructor did not even demonstrate the moves so I was following a student who must attend regularly. Then when we left early, again, she followed us and told us in a scolding voice what to do with the mats! We had a different idea in mind!! There are better hot yoga classes out there in DC!!

French Smith-O'Connor: Hot Yoga Capitol Hill has been my yoga home since moving to DC two years ago. Its an incredibly tight knit, women-owned community studio with a great range of offerings (classic hot yoga, vinyasa, hot pilates, piyo (pilates/yoga combo), barre and more). I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Bluebird Sky Yoga: what do users think?

Rebecca Wolf: I’ve been coming to Bluebird Sky Yoga for a few weeks now and it is becoming one of the best parts of my week! I’m coming back to a yoga practice after 10 years and I’m so thankful for this bright, kind and welcoming studio serving the Edgewood/Brookland community. Prices are fair, instructors are wonderful, vaccine-mandatory policy keeps people safe, and the space is beautiful. The main studio is warm, bright and relaxing. Try their new member deal!

Briana DeVincenzo: I had just started practicing yoga before I moved to the Brookland neighborhood and was so excited when I found Bluebird Sky Yoga. Thanks to Jennie and the rest of the amazing teachers at the studio, my practice has completely transformed over the past year and a half. Not only has my strength, flexibility and balance all significantly improved, but also my ability to breathe and cope with stress. I love that there are so many different class options to choose from - including my favorite, Rocket! The community of people who practice here are all friendly and supportive as well. I've never once felt intimidated in a class and have loved getting to know other people who practice here. The studio itself is very welcoming, clean and colorful. It's an awesome environment to deepen your practice in and I can't recommend it enough =)

Siena Ruggeri: Wonderfully down-to-earth, experienced teachers, an inclusive atmosphere, and a great community feel. It can be hard to find studios that are welcoming to all abilities, but I never feel anything other than positivity and encouragement here. They really respect the spirituality and philosophy of yoga and infuse it into everything they do. Students are friendly and open, and there's people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds who practice here. I also appreciate Bluebird Sky's commitment to making yoga affordable and accessible to all- there's a lot of options if you're on a budget. All the teachers are great, but highly recommend anything taught by Hari or Elena. Thank you BSY for helping me grow in my yoga practice. It's one of my favorite parts about living in Brookland ❤

Ian Golden: I'm new to yoga and was a little nervous the first time I walked in. Felt super welcome there. This place meets you where you are at and doesn't make you feel bad if you don't know a position. Most classes have a mixture of levels and I have ALWAYS felt comfortable and welcome though I am learning, and not necessarily picking it up quickly. Could not recommend more. Also, as a dude yoga studios are often intimidating places. There were lots of other guys just like me. All welcome to practice.

Kristen Gardner: This a very nice studio with a good vibe. The class offerings are fantastic and the teachers are attentive and professional. The space is open and airy and situated in a quiet residential neighborhood. I have been to many studios in DC, and I feel as if this is my permanent yoga home!

Paige Lieberman: So great to have this place in the neighborhood! I’ve been looking for a new studio for awhile, and from my first class here, I was sold. It’s a chill place that makes you feel calm as soon as you walk in. The teachers lead very approachable classes, while still offering challenging asanas and pranayama techniques. Having taken a teacher training myself, it’s clear that the teachers are well educated. It’s exciting to find classes in DC with these advanced themes woven into the classes.

Marta Staudinger: Bluebird Sky is truly a G E M for community gatherings & your all around yoga studio standards. It's too frequent that DC-area yoga studio owners don't practice what they preach, but BSY owner Jennie is a true yogi through and through. Her positive energy & warmth nourishes BSY and will make you feel at home & welcome. Not only is BSY a great yoga studio+community, but they support other local businesses in almost everything they do! BSY participates in the local Farmers Market on the Arts Walk (yoga every Saturday outside? Yes please!). They also display art throughout the studio by local artists. I love the art & wine nights! A personal favorite: the weekend yoga workshops offered are always well curated! It's difficult to not be at BSY every weekend!

Amber W: Very kind and accommodating owner! Background: I had to change my contract start date because I was going to be overseas for a large portion of the month. The staff forwarded my request to the owner, who emailed me and was perfectly fine with changing the contract start date so that I could take full advantage of the membership that month. As a new client, this shows me that this studio cares about their patrons. I am sure I will continue to practice here! Highly recommend.

Lacey Huber: Beautiful space and great classes! The schedule offers range of styles which I really like, and all of the teachers I've encountered have been wonderful. They also host a ton of different events, pop-ups and workshops that are definitely worth checking out!

Natalia Alvarez Diaz: One of my absolute favorite studios in DC! The space is gorgeous and the staff and teachers are courteous and knowledgeable. Love the murals outside and the lovely reading nook for some pre or post-class tea.

Yoga District: what do users think?

Callie Phelps: Reasonable prices and lots of different class offerings. The class was accessible and the instructor had great cues and a flow that was a good balance of effort and ease. But overall, I didn't feel very welcome for never having visited the studio before. It was unclear where the class was being held (the building has several floors with several studio rooms) and when I checked in, there was no guidance as to where to fill up water / grab props / use the restroom / place my mat. The teacher did not introduce herself and instead chatted with students it seemed she was already quite close with.

daniel nathan: Yoga District is the perfect yoga studio. They have a wide variety of classes, and there is always something available that you would like. The instructors are incredibly clear, and sufficiently demanding. I have been taking classes from Fran at 14th St. for about 10 years, and she never fails to simulate. Her explanations are easy to follow, and she provides many options. And she’s just a great person.

Eila Wichern: I took an Alignment Flow class (Beginner/Intermediate) on 6/21/2016 at the 14th street location. The regular instructor was out, but our substitute Andrew was absolutely wonderful. I'm not in great shape, so the class was perhaps more strenuous than I was anticipating, but throughout the 75 minutes Andrew was helpful and supportive while leading us through a challenging (for me) routine. Andrew created a safe and positive space, and I thoroughly enjoyed my class -- it left me feeling strong, grounded, and relaxed. I'm not a DC resident, but I would love to take more classes with Andrew, I won't hesitate to return to Yoga District when I visit the city in the future. Also, classes are reasonably priced, and booking/payment was a simple process.

eimear holton: Nice, clean, and welcoming studio. Yoga district has excellent teachers offering a wide range of classes all over the city! Plus quite inexpensive compared to most!

Stephanie Pratt: Love yoga district - very affordable compared to other studios in DC. In addition, they truly live the practice of yoga - practicing ahimsa, being kind to others, and building community. I took yoga teacher training here, and I am so happy I did. I have learned so much and have met so many wonderful people because of that experience. looking forward to spending more time with the yoga district family.

Tiffany Thompson: Are you new to yoga and totally lost as to what it means to "flow into down dog?" Great! Are you a practiced veteran looking to deepen your practice? Equally fantastic! Are you a broke person living in DC who thought that you'd never be able to afford to go to yoga and also eat? This is your place- the reasonable prices and ENORMOUS class selection make it possible to actually practice yoga without going broke! The instructors are amazing. I was immediately impressed by Shahrooz, who walked our small class in the I Street location through the basics of every pose. He was patient and seemed to care deeply that our practice meant something that day. I suspect that's how he teaches every class and I will be attending as many of his as possible. Honestly, Yoga District embodies what it means to truly practice yoga. Everyone's journey is different but for me, the core tenets of a successful practice are inclusivity, instruction, guidance, and accessibility. Yoga District has a policy supporting all of those and more- they preach community and they practice it here too. Go get your Namaste on here!

Natasha Hansen: Andreas Friday evening class is a great way to unwind into the weekend. central location and lots of natural light in the studio!

Hannah Milward: WARNING - DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS If you are signing up for their one month trial - PAY CASH. If you have already paid for a *one off* using credit card - check your statement immediately. They have been taking $97 each month from my credit card since June (from a card I hardly use except for parking) and therefore hardly check up on. I was only in Washington for one week... over $300 for 3 classes is essentially what I have payed for. I was utterly shocked to see how much had been taken without any contract, permission or authorization. And after looking at Yelp - it looks like this has happened to others. I was even more shocked that my emails have been viewed a number of times with NO apology, no response, no attempt to communicate whatsoever. Fraud committed by a company who, in theory, should be running in line with Yoga values. (Like not stealing and doing no harm) feels worse than fraud committed by some big corporate.
Response: Hi! Our membership terms are laid out in an online agreement that members e-sign. Although it is a pretty standard membership to most, just like at any yoga studio or gym, we apologize if this upset you or if you didn’t read the agreement you signed. We respond to account issues by email and we work hard to make things right - all of this supports our nonprofit mission to keep yoga accessible!

I McM: As a complete beginner this place has been super welcoming. Not absurdly expensive, chill, and a good guided class that understands that bodies have limits. Every teacher has a different vibe but they all have good skills!

Jaime Buzzeo: I attended teacher training with Yoga District and loved every minute of it. I also love the variety of classes Yoga District offers. It is the most affordable yoga in the district.
Response: Thank you, Jaime!

Yoga Heights Takoma: what do users think?

Sandi Gohn: I have been a part of the Yoga Heights community for a few years now and just love the company's newest studio location in Takoma Park. If you are looking for quality yoga in a welcoming environment, this is the place for you! All of the classes are thoughtfully taught by the studio's lineup of incredible teachers -- I think I've been to almost every class they offer -- and leave you feeling energized and ready to take on the day. It is so easy to hop to a class -- it's a 2 minute walk from the metro -- and the quality of the yoga is top-notch for the price. I've tried all different classes here and have loved each and every class I've taken. I also love the decor and ambiance of this YHDC location -- it is so light-filled and open! I feel instantly at ease when I step inside the studio doors! I also just completed my 200 YTT here and can't recommend it enough -- Jess and Angela are wonderful teacher teachers! Do yourself a favor and visit the studio ASAP!
Response: Thanks so much Sandi. We are grateful for you and all of your beautiful photography over the years!

Maya Hollomon: Yoga for every BODY, not just Instagram model look-alikes. Also really affordable for the DC area. Very kind, well trained teachers and friendly staff.
Response: Thanks Maya!

Allan Regis: love this studio. it lets in a lot of natural light, conveniently located by the metro, and it has plenty of space for classes!
Response: Thanks Allan!

Stephanie Hoehn: I love Yoga Heights, and the Takoma location is just beautiful. The studios are spacious and calming and I love getting an hour away to myself. There is a wide variety of classes, from sweaty power flows to relaxing yin - and everything in between. Their current COVID precautions (everyone must be vaccinated and masked) make me feel very comfortable practicing indoors, although I appreciate their outdoor offerings, too!
Response: Thanks Stephanie!

James Dickas: Went here for my first studio class since the pandemic started. It was great! It was challenging to get back into it, but the all levels class was a good speed. Tip: the staff is efficient, so they arrived 5 min prior to class start (7:45pm class). If you arrive early and it looks closed, they will be there soon.
Response: Thanks Jim!

Chanpen Tee: Nice and clean facility. Instructors and staff are nice and friendly. There are a lot of classes.
Response: Thanks!

Ileana Schinder: Yoga Heights is amazing. They have engaging and very experienced teachers for all levels. Their prices are very good and there are several plans yogis can join. I highly encourage you to come, practice and meet the amazing people that make yoga practice a true personal experience. Highly, highly recommended!
Response: Thanks so much Ileana. We love having you as part of the YH community!

Emily r: Yoga Heights has great instructors! It's truly an inclusive studio, a place for everyone and for all levels. I like that it's owned by two women who are excellent teachers. They have two locations, one in Takoma Park and one in Petworth. It's a place that is relaxed and the people are down to earth. If you're new "Back to Basics" is a great class. If you've practiced before "All Levels Flow" or "Power Flow" are great options, but they have a variety of other classes you can try.
Response: Thanks so much Emily!

Jessica Pierno: Love this location— close to metro, calm and beautiful spaces, and amazing instructors.
Response: Thanks!

Anne Ketter: Yoga Heights is the most welcoming, diverse studio I've found. I love how friendly and helpful everyone who works there is, and the great variety in the humans who practice there. With the unlimited membership, it's also the most affordable yoga around.
Response: Thanks Anne! We love having you in the YH community!

MINT health club & studio- Dupont: what do users think?

Massimiliano Santini: Terrible experience. It's incredible how a gym that prides itself with being a family-run independent business close to the customers, and part of the neighborhood community, has taken advantage of one of his customer. Here is what happened. I requested to cancel my gym membership 7 days before the renewal date, as I had an emergency and would not have been able to use the gym on the following month. They told me they had a 10 days cancellation notice, that they would not exercise any flexibility, and that they would press on and charge me for the following month despite the fact that I was not going to be able to use the gym for a single day. I am extremely disappointed about this charge. When I first joined Mint a few months back, as a long-time Adams Morgan resident, I was really excited to become a member of a community of gym enthusiasts that support a local business. In particular, I trusted the flexibility and friendliness displayed on their advertising emails. You can only imagine my disappointment in seeing that as I faced an emergency, MINT did not display any sort of flexibility and common sense. My advice -- go to any other gym in the neighborhood and avoid MINT. When you need any flexibility, they will not be there for you.
Response: Hi Massimiliano - We are sincerely sorry that you feel this way. Our liberal cancelation policy does require 10 days' notice and is clearly stated in all agreement information. The standard notice period in the fitness industry is 30 days. To allow time for our team to process and to be fair and equitable to all of our other members we apply this policy across all memberships. We wish you the best as you navigate your family emergency.

R Adebowale: Great local gym. Small building but with all the modern equipment needed for a good workout. Nice front desk staff.

Lexie Barton: I love Mint!! I have been so impressed by their ability to pivot during the pandemic and create an environment that truly feels safe for everyone. I cancelled my gym membership before the pandemic at another gym and felt unsafe returning as I have an at-risk person at home, until I found Mint! Cannot say enough good things about the team and the facility. Thank you, Mint team! Also agree with the 2nd review below 👇 I’ve been during all times of the day and have never had an issue with any of my belongings. There is ample locker space with the ability to choose your own combination so you can secure your items. I’ve never seen or encountered any issues.
Response: Hi Lexie! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a thoughtful and kind review. We really appreciate it!

Kaelah Horwath: MINT is the BEST! All of the instructors are amazing and it is such a nice place to work out.

A MM: My partner's wallet was stolen from his LOCKED gym locker at this location (which occured due to MINT's bad practices). Other reviewers below who are not familiar with the situation mention that you can set your own combination and that the locker must have been unlocked, but the locker was locked and the below reviewers don't mention the quality of the locks/lockers are so poor that someone could break into it in a matter of minutes. Following the robbery, MINT has barely apologized and does not respond to his emails about the situation. As an update, 6+ weeks later, the issue still has not been resolved and there has been no communication from management despite multiple attempts to contact them. It's telling that management chooses to respond to positive reviews below, but blatantly ignores this one. Would not recommend this gym.

Amy Carmichael Smith: This has been a great gym so far. I signed up a couple of months ago and I splurged for the membership that allows me to sign up for any class which I highly recommend. I wish I had more time in my day to take advantage of them all! But it's great to just sign up, even at the last minute, for an awesome class. Most importantly, the people at Mint are fantastic. Really down to earth, helpful, and friendly. I'm really fortunate that this is my neighborhood gym.
Response: Hi Amy, We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us this amazing review! It's so great to hear that you're enjoying our classes and the MINT team. :-) We can't wait to see you in the gym again!

Nisha Singh: MINT has been adapting their virtual and in-person offerings to maximize client experience and safety, from the start of the pandemic. I used to go occasionally to in-person classes at the Dupont location and started going to the Power Playground classes once my virtual fitness routine got stale and the virtual platform, class format (no equipment necessary!), and instructors were so great that I ended up buying a class pack. It's been great to feel challenged again in a workout!
Response: Hi Nisha! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a great review. We're so happy to hear you're enjoying our virtual classes, especially Power Playground. We'll be sure to share the feedback with the team!

Blanca Badgett: Mint is fantastic! The variety of classes is great as I lack self structure when I try to workout alone. The instructors are very motivating and work with all skill levels. They all have a good knowledge base to modify workouts for people with injuries which I appreciate. They also have a child care, full amenity locker rooms, and a coffee machine. It is rather expensive for memberships so I would suggest using ClassPass to try it out before fully committing. Their memberships do also include the 14th St location!
Response: Hi Blanca! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us such a thoughtful review. We're happy to hear you enjoy our classes, instructors and amenities! Looking forward to seeing you in the gym. :-)

Connor O'Donnell: I joined Mint when they reopened after the pandemic and the gym has been fantastic. There is plenty of space and equipment that you aren't on top of other members when you're working out. Even before the pandemic Mint took cleanliness and sanitation very seriously and have ramped up their procedures even more so now. The best thing about the gym is the windows that wrap around the whole building so that its drenched in sunlight. Very different feeling when compared to the dungeon weight room of Sport and Health NW in Tenleytown.
Response: Thanks so much for your thoughtful review, Connor! We're so happy to hear that you're enjoying your workouts with us.

Mallika Thomas: Such a great place! Really nice to go to a local, family-owned gym that is really set on delivering great health and wellness to the local community! What I especially love are the outdoor classes that are being offered in the time of Covid. They are safe, in small groups, and outdoors! And I really need the exercise after having been inside for so many months! Thank you, especially to Lauren for offering a fantastic outdoor workout!
Response: Hi Mallika! Thank you so much for leaving us such a fantastic review. We'll be sure to pass the compliment on to Lauren.

Ashtanga Yoga Studio DC: what do users think?

Carolina Zeeb: It's an amazing place to do Yoga and make friends. I started August 2015 and fell in love with the studio and Keith, owner and instructor. I was a beginner and Keith welcomed me with open arms, walking me through every step of learning Ashtanga Yoga. The classes are always fun and easy to follow for a beginner and challenging enough for advanced yogis. I have taken my mom, husband, sister and many friends, even my 10 year old son and they all really enjoyed it. I have personally improved my overall health and have toned my body. I highly recommend it to anyone, beginner or super yogi, to join this amazing family.

Ellie Alavi: I've been a longtime student of Keith's and can't recommend him enough. I love Ashtanga yoga, and he is an excellent teacher whether you are a beginner or advanced student. That said, I enjoy and recommend all the teachers at the studio and learn something new from each one of them all the time. P.S. Parking is very easy, and I never have to look, which is a big plus.

Stefanie Wallach: Keith Moore's yoga studio is a light-filled, cozy space. Class size does not exceed 15 students, therefore each student receives ample attention. Keith and his fellow teachers are skilled at teaching traditional poses as well as modifying those poses for injuries or other limitations. Everybody is made to feel welcome as soon as they walk in the door. I practiced for years at many yoga studios throughout the region, but it was when I started taking classes with Keith that I found my yoga home. He is a calm, steady, and exceptional teacher who provides the space for the student to make discoveries about the practice. Ashtanga Yoga Studio DC is a treasure.

Stephanie Lilley: Keith is the very best yoga instructor ever. Every school teacher should take his class to see how he makes each student feel special. He can teach to every level in one class, and everyone feels successful and accomplished. He is an Ashtanga purist, but he also has some fun!!

Dr. Eugenia Prokopets: I am a newbie to Ashtanga and I am so thrilled to be in this studio. Keith has been so welcoming and made me feel right at home from day one. He was super accommodating with having a new student and always guided me through whenever I did not remember the pose. He is excellent with adjustments and motivates you to be better. I am thrilled with my progress so far. This is my new go to studio, I would highly recommend it!!

Nicholas Satriano: Ashtanga Yoga Studio DC is a great place to practice and learn ashtanga yoga. It is a very welcoming, communal space that is conveniently located near Sibley Hospital in DC. There are a variety of classes for all levels. I have been going to classes at AYSDC for several years and particularly enjoy being able to attend daily Mysore classes, as well as the led classes. Keith Moore, who is the owner, creates a warm and inclusive atmosphere for beginners like me, and he has variety of loyal students at all levels. The other teachers are great too and I look forward to taking their classes when my schedule allows. Wendy offers a great class on Saturday mornings. She provides great instruction as well as explaining the principles behind the postures in a very understandable format. They also offer special classes from time to time such as meditation and mindfulness, which help to create a great yoga learning community. I encourage you to visit the studio.

Cristina Sanchez: I have been a student of Keith’s for over a decade. He has always been helpful and patient with my practice. Every instructor he has is knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend the studio, it’s clean, class sizes are manageable (max 15) and always welcoming.

Caitlin Krieck: I've practiced yoga for many years but never have I been in a more warm-hearted studio filled with such genuine people. I've rediscovered my love for yoga, newly discovered a love for Ashtanga style yoga and happily wake up every morning in time to start practicing at 5:30am. The teachers are kind and give amazing adjusts - they know when to push you and when to back off and, impressively, can work with every student at every level in a single class. It is a challenging practice to be sure, but a challenge I look forward to every morning, even on the days when I struggle. If you're even mildly interested, I highly encourage you to come by!

Catherine McKenna: AYC is the real deal. You can count on consistently excellent, authentic yoga practice every day (or as often as you can get there). Keith will change the way you think about yoga and yourself without ever being intimidating, new age-y, or dull. Yoga class at AYC is reliably the best hour of my day.

Holly Happe: I am an advanced practice ashtangi and Keith was my ashtanga teacher for years, starting in 2001when I was a brand new yogi. He is one of the most compassionate and understanding humans and teachers that I have ever encountered. His depth of knowledge in yoga, anatomy and the human body is truly impressive and I can’t say enough about how much he has helped and encouraged me over the years. I remember after I had my daughter and I was trying to find the time to go back to yoga he had me bring her to the studio and if she got fussy he would pick her up and walk with her for as long as it took to calm her and to allow me to practice. When i got injured he was able to help me find ways to rebuild strength so i could keep practicing. If you have any doubt put it aside and just go get on the mat with Keith, you won’t regret it.

Dupont Circle Yoga: what do users think?

HG G: Very weird experience at this studio. Apron arriving and knocking, the instructor opened the door and stared at me without blinking, Greeting and introducing or letting me in. He just stood at the doorway staring until I broke the silence and introduced myself like, “so Um, should I pop in?” His vibe was down hill from there, a lot of small things that triggered my gut feeling… I was hesitant to review but I’m going to. Then when I left my favorite yoga studio and called within minutes and then 2 times the next day with a voice mail, nobody answered. It’s a beautiful studio though.
Response: Hi HG G - I am sorry to hear about your experience - it sounds very unusual given our years in the neighborhood and city and countless students. Please write me if you feel comfortable, or call / message 202.552.0556 we'd really like to address whatever went wrong, you can also reach me at eli@georgetownyoga.com if that is more comfortable. We hope to hear from you 🙏

Erin Shea: Positive: Professionalism, QualityI miss heading to classes at DCY. The space is simple but serene. Teachers are skilled, helpful and most importantly, respectful. Having had a few bad experiences with what seem to be ego-driven yoga teachers/studios, a space like Dupont is not to be missed!
Response: Thank you for the love!

Ruizhi LIU: This yoga studio is located in a very cute neighborhood. I was visiting DC and took a deep flow class with Peter. I was deeply impressed by his teaching and really appreciate how he helped push my body just a little bit further to reach positions I wasn’t able to before. If you live in the area, or are just visiting (like me), I highly recommend you checking this place out. Plus, they have very attractive rate for first timers. There’s changing room and yoga mats you can use. So you don’t have to bring anything. P.S. their sister studio Georgetown Yoga, which I checked out during my last visit to DC was also very nice.
Response: So kind, thank you for writing!

Jemiah Williams: I really don’t like the fact that I was locked out of the class for being 10 min late. People have busy lives and cannot always be on time. This was extremely inconsiderate and a waste of my time and money.
Response: Hi Jemiah, apologies, our grace period is 5 minutes and we find this the best balance and most respectful for those who have already started their meditation and practice. We will always provide a class credit if you miss class or can't get in once it has started. Thank you!

DC Techie: Relaxing, clean yoga studio. The instructor, Nathan, was very knowledgeable about both the poses and provided modifications were beginners. Unlike some studios, preference was not given to the more advanced students. Teacher: Nathan's modifications took the poses to another level and he spread out the modifications among the students in the class. Temperature: The class had good air-conditioning which was necessary given the sweltering DC heat They offer quite a few new student offers, including the first month for $48 (what a steal!)

Demian Sanchez: My favorite yoga center in the Dupont area. The space is cozy, clean and comfortable and I like their vinyasa classes. The prices are also quite competitive, the best bang for your buck in the area

Roz R.: Beautiful space with great teachers. Love coming to this yoga studio and their sister studio, Georgetown Yoga. Also love their student discounts!

Stefanie G: Did $10 first timer class w Moriah and she slayed. This place has good vibes, mats to borrow, and a flow sequence that has me feeling so good. Get to it.

lindsay love: Gorgeous, calm space draws you away from the bustle of the city. Excellent instruction with a personal touch and attention to detail. Highly recommend

Ashley Morgan: Love this studio, great classes and one of the most scenic locations in DC.
Response: Aww thanks for the love 💙

Yoga District H Street NE: what do users think?

Stephanie Murray: Love this studio! Beautiful space, very clean and really welcoming community. Coming to Yoga District is my favorite part of the day.

melissa johnson: Very chill yoga experience. Mats, blocks, water, all available. Exposed brick and lots of windows with second floor privacy (no one staring in). Andrea is awesome.

Ryan D: Good spot. Just make sure you know what you are doing cause if you're a beginner it's probably not the place for you. But I like the classes I've done.
Response: Thanks so much Ryan! We have beginner classes for those new to yoga. They are called yoga 1 m, flow 1, gentle yoga, or yoga basics. I hope this helps and I’m so glad you’ve liked the classes!

Lauren: Positive: QualityLove this studio! Wide variety of classes to build strength or unwind, beautiful space, warm staff - AND the most affordable prices I've seen anywhere in DC. The community vibes here just can't be beat.

Arianna Vranas: Love love love this studio! It’s one of the most affordable studios in DC while still having quality instructors and classes! All of the people I’ve met there have been very kind as well. The entrance is behind the pub on H street where there’s a little courtyard. Just open the door and go up the stairs. 🙂 If you can catch a class with Andrew here, I highly recommend it.

Andrew Glendening: A small spot for yoga with knowledgeable instructors for a cheap price. As of this post the monthly unlimited fee is around $100. That includes yoga at the H Street location and all the others. Classes are available all day for different skill levels. Highly recommended.

Zach Cammer: I don't get to do yoga very often due to my schedule and your class was easy to follow along, was challenging enough when I wanted it to be, and the studio was very unique. If my schedule permits I will definitely be coming back soon.

Theresa Watson: Amazing place for yoga. My instructors name was Morgan and she was just AMAZING! I was relaxed for the entire week. I will definitely be back.

Heather Waldroup: Really nice yoga studio and not overpriced for a drop-in. I went when i was in town for work and felt very welcome. Will come next time I'm in DC!

Leo Howard: It was my first visit to Yoga District with instructor Cynthia and I hooked. The class for beginners is the Best ever!
