Mark Vallaster
Mark Vallaster: View is fantastic. Food is good but slow
C F
C F: This venue is absolutely stunning. It’s been several months after our wedding and we consistently still have guests telling us how beautiful our ceremony venue was. It has a breathtaking view of the Capitol and is extremely well maintained. We fit our 160 wedding guests under the provided tents for our ceremony with room to spare. Suzanne and the entire staff were a delight to work with and they really saved the day by accommodating us by scheduling a tour and our event very quickly after having our original venue cancel only 5-weeks before the big day.

The Showroom: what do users think?
Ian Furlong
Ian Furlong: Nice space in the heart of Dc for Events etc.
Rachel Tuchrello
Rachel Tuchrello: This was a rip off. Paid for tickets that said they included food and drinks and that there would be several bars and food stations. There was ONE small table that served as a bar and one small food table. Stood in ‘line’ for an hour for drinks, didn’t even bother waiting for food. Much smaller venue than expected. Would not recommend. For this much money you could go to a better set up event. Very disappointing.
Response: We are not a bar... we are an event space. We do not sell tickets, the client that rented our space did. We did not promise food and several bars, because that is not what we do. If you have an issue with the pricing, the food, or the bar, I would take that up with the event organizer of the caterer (neither of whom work for or represent us).
G. Williker
G. Williker: This place can definitely pack a crowd, but also had room to spread out. If one venue is your only plan for holiday events the investment in a VIP/Group seating is worth it.
David Bear
David Bear: Wonderful wedding venue !

The Schuyler: what do users think?
SG3 Events
SG3 Events: The Schuyler is an impressive and versatile Luxury Event Venue in Washington DC perfect for large Weddings, Social Events, and Corporate Events. The main ballroom, mezzanine, and pre-function spaces are thoughtfully designed with modern furnishings, soaring columns, and integrated lighting. As a Wedding and Event Planner, I appreciate the ease of access to their event space from their clean and organized loading dock, which makes setup and breakdown more seamless for vendors; plus they have a full industrial kitchen which is a huge plus for catering. Their standard inventory of event rentals such as tables and chairs are elevated, modern, and neutral so that they can be easily incorporated into your decor. The sales team is also such a pleasure to work with! The Sales Director Kim Saleik is so kind and helpful, and very seasoned in the industry. She is very familiar with the venue and all it has to offer and works diligently to ensure your event is successful. She has been extremely helpful and vital to the planning of an Industry Event we are collaborating on and I cannot wait to work with her on future events and bring additional clients to the Schuyler!
Afan Haq
Afan Haq: Very nice venue and staff. Save on uplighting cost by booking this venue. In house Audio and video as well. We added sound to accommodate number of people for your event.
A. Griffin Events
A. Griffin Events: A versatile, chic new venue in the heart of DC. We love working with the team at The Schuyler who make it easy to plan corporate and social events and weddings.
GB Sharma
GB Sharma: We have been looking for an event space for a while. The Schuyler was perfect. State-of-the-art technology, clean, and centrally located. I was more surprised by all the safety measures they are taking ( in light of covid-19) prior to / post each event. I definitely would recommend Schuyler.
Stephanie Miles

HQO Events: what do users think?
K Ward
K Ward: How do you saying "amazing" in two words? BLUE DROP! College Bound had planned our 30th Anniversary Celebration for last fall. Of course, Covid had other plans so we scaled back and did a much smaller event. We promised the College Bound family that we would have a celebration in the spring and worked feverishly to find the perfect venue. BLUE DROP was definitely the answer. The events manager, Love (PERFECT NAME), was a joy to work with at every step of the way. The team on the day of the event were perhaps the most professional and efficient group imaginable. They clearly love their job and made sure that the event was a huge success. Of course, the views are EVERYTHING!
Megan Garmers
Megan Garmers: Just cannot say enough great things about the location and team at HQO Events! We originally were having a wedding industry event in 2020 but had to postpone because of the pandemic. Lovesha, Fran and the team helped us plan, reschedule, and plan again to make sure all went off without a hitch. The whole team from the security to the facilities staff were top-notch and so helpful even when we had to rework some things because of the rain. The view is gorgeous (even in the rain!) and the space felt open yet had smaller areas to create different types of vignettes. The location cannot be beat with tons of restaurants, the view of the water, and a calming atmosphere to lend itself to feeling out of the city yet in it. I really cannot recommend this venue enough!
Amy Simpson
Amy Simpson: Amazing venue in the center of Navy Yard. The views are just wow.

Narda Nardis
Narda Nardis: Amazing venue! Great location
Frank Mikolajczak
Frank Mikolajczak: Nice venue. There is not much draw here other than the open canvas and your vision. The scenery is not beautiful or amazing but it allows for a nice city comfort feeling that is hip and trendy. You can really decorate or create whatever environment you want inside the space that offers plenty of room. There is a good Instagram wall around the building for pictures also.
Dru Crawley
Dru Crawley: Fun event venue, indoor, covered outdoor space. Great for parties
Valerie Chandler
Valerie Chandler: Terrible event! I was invited to The 2nd annual DC Brunch Festival on Dock 5 and it was the pits!!! It was more like a Sardines festival. It was packed, hard to walk around, lines everywhere, plenty drinks and very little food!!! The free glass was dirty and plastic! Parking a logistical nightmare. I had to go next door and pay to eat! This event is for the easily duped!!!
K Allen
K Allen: Basically, a loading dock with all of the wonderful acoustics of a loading dock. The view out the garage style doors is of a deteriorating warehouse with an old diner propped up on timbers that looks like it will fall over any second. Since it is all concrete, steel and glass, just add in a blaring sound system and you have all of the great ingredients for a wonderful evening at this venue. Not.
Amelia and Kelsey
Amelia and Kelsey: The staff at Dock 5 is incredibly accommodating and helpful when planning the perfect event in their space. We always appreciate their flexibility and the versatility of the space. It will always be one of our favorite event venues in DC.

Josephine Butler Parks Center: what do users think?
Liza Greenberg
Liza Greenberg: We checked out multiple venues in DC, but none captured the vision we had for our October 19, 2019 wedding like the Josephine Butler Parks Center. The space is beautiful enough to not need too much decoration but simple enough to be a blank canvas if you wanted to go big. We had 120 guests and it felt both spacious and intimate. Malina was very informative and helpful and has done the wedding rodeo enough times to have answers to every question we threw at her. And we felt especially great about using the Center because we knew we were supporting the Washington Parks!
Joseph Ortega
Joseph Ortega: A classy and elegant old venue in the heart of the city. Spacious and full of rich historical ties to the city.
Aaron Hedquist
Aaron Hedquist: I’ve photographed several weddings at the PARKS CENTER. Every time, the venue is well organized, plenty of room for vendors, and the guest seem to really enjoy the multi-level space. You also won’t be able to beat the access to one of the largest (and best) parks in DC. PLUS, the building is run by a local non-profit so a portion of the proceeds go back to doing great work here in DC. If your thinking about having a wedding, corporate, or family event, definitely check-out the JOSEPHINE BUTLER PARKS CENTER.
Jeffrey Harris
Jeffrey Harris: Fun event space. Been there for wedding and fundraising/social event. Lovely.
Audrey Link
Audrey Link: Attended a couple of wedding parties here. Fairly well maintained historic home. Nice staircase in the foyer which is a good spot for photos. There is a balcony (might hold 30)which is a nice place for cocktails in nice weather. There was more than enough room in the dining area for the 150 or so in attendance at the last party. There are 2 kitchens, an upstairs which is a decent size and a much smaller one on the lower level. This provides a lot of room for prep and the fridges help with the cooling of your beverages so not everything has to be chilled on ice. Parking is a little difficult because of the location, but the same can be said for all places in that vicinity. Overall a very quaint location for your event.
Andrew Breza
Andrew Breza: A charming and historic event spacelocated next to Meridian Hill Park
M U K T I . D E S A I
M U K T I . D E S A I: I had my wedding here in September of 2014 and it was absolutely perfect! The space is gorgeous and we knew the venue was for us the moment we saw it. We had just under 150 people and the space was perfect. Dinner was a little cramped, but other than that the space was perfect. We were lucky and had amazing weather so we are also able to make great use of the terrace. This is the perfect place for someone wanting a DC wedding at a reasonable price. The photo opps are also amazing and if you are lucky and get good weather, the park is so close and makes for great photos as well.
Erin R
Erin R: Went here for a gala. A historic venue that is perfect for a small to medium sized corporate or personal event! Two stories we’d open for us to gather in. The staircase is beautiful!

The Capitol View at 400: what do users think?
Remembered Events
Remembered Events: We just had a fabulous wedding at this venue. The view is beautiful. They have a parking garage underneath the building and you do have to go through the lobby of the new stations to get to the reception spot but well worth it. We had around 100 people which fit the space perfectly. Delmy the venue coordinator is so wonderful to work with. The space offers multiple options for your cocktail hour set up. The restrooms are far from the space just something to be aware of. I would suggest making signs it is downstairs or have a designated person showing guests where to go (this was something our planning team did).
Colby Shomaker
Colby Shomaker: This place has great views of union station and the capital. Not the best location and set up to host an event but overall it’s ok.
ALANA VAUGHN
ALANA VAUGHN: What an amazing venue to have any event. It felt like you were on the deck of a cruise ship with the beautiful black drop of the Capitol in the background. It was open air... it was beautiful but when it started to drizzle there was a beautiful canopy that still allowed you to enjoy the beautiful view.
Travis Hyams
Travis Hyams: We had our wedding of about 100 guests at Capitol View. Our experience was amazing, and we would recommend the venue to anybody that is planning their next event. The view speaks for itself. So, if you are on the fence, just go see the place. Delmy the venue coordinator is a true champion. She is experienced, organized, well-connected, and when the anxiety of planning an event becomes too stressful, she draws on all of these to keep you calm and make sure things go as planned. The day of went off without a hitch and our guests continue to rave about our event! Delmy handled all the décor and the venue looked truly stunning. We hope others get to experience how truly magical Capitol View is!
Kiedra E.
Kiedra E.: Unfortunately this rating comes from an inability to receive a date to even view the venue. We absolutely adored the space from what we saw online. I reached out to the venue the beginning of January and received little correspondence and after confirming a date finally but, not a time , I waited over a month for a time confirmation email that was promised and never came. This was extremely disappointing. I’m not sure why we weren’t valued or given the usual business etiquette or decency many others have in the past from the reviews I read but, I hope that this experience is isolated and not common practice of this venue.
andrew strycker
andrew strycker: I was here for a conference dinner on the rooftop. The food was lackluster and ran out multiple times. the event was by reservation only so it was not as if Capitol View had no idea on how many patrons to expect. The two bars that were on the rooftop were cash only and hard to navigate towards. The bathrooms were also located a fair distance away. After a bit of socializing (like an hour), many of my peers decided to go to another venue.
Michael Gerardi
Michael Gerardi: Great venue for people who are political advocates and/or patriots
Megan Muñoz
Megan Muñoz: Delmy was very nice but myself and other guests could over see and hear her being unfriendly to the staff and taking down about the wedding party. Otherwise fantastic venue and a wonderful time.

Claudia Benjamin
Claudia Benjamin: We had our wedding here In the morning the views are breathtaking. The house is well kept and the staff is very helpful. If you are looking for a wedding venue or a place to hold a very special event this would surely be one of my picks. We had an intimate 10 am wedding in August with the ceremony seating facing the Potomac. It was fairly hot that day so we made use of the house for the cocktail hour as well as the library to house the cake from the heat. The tent was beautiful and big enough to hold more then our 12 tables and dance floor. The bridal suite is beautiful and gives some amazing pictures as well as the grooms suite. The grounds really do speak for them selves and there is ample parking. If I had to do another event I would surely use them.

Serge Jerome Jr.

Friends Meeting of Washington: what do users think?
Rihana Bokhari
Rihana Bokhari: Friends Meeting of Washington is an idyllic venue for a DC wedding. It has indoor and outdoor spaces. It has multiple beautiful gardens. The interior is stunning, the location is unmatched and the price point is incredibly fair. We were able to have the perfect wedding here and could not recommend it more. Our venue coordinator, Brian, was absolutely wonderful to work with. He made our lives so easy and was incredibly responsive to all of our questions and problems. He went above and beyond what we expected.
Ido Simyoni
Ido Simyoni: I needed a location fir a video shoot so I rented their library room for filming and they’ve been super kind , responsive and helpful. Brian is the mvp. We’ll definitely go back there in the future.
Response: Thank you so much! Great to have you back again today.
Caribbean Caterer
Caribbean Caterer: We recently catered a wedding at this venue. The staff was extremely professional and easy to work with. Also, the venue is absolutely beautiful! It is a garden oasis in the middle of the District.
Response: Thanks so much! We enjoyed working with you that day and look forward to having you back again soon!
Kai McCoy
Kai McCoy: The oldest Quaker Meeting house in the nation, built for Herbert Hoover with the same materials the original White House was built with. This Friends Meeting is powerful in their Work and Message. Any visitors are always welcomed with open hearts. A fantastic place for Serenity and Worship of the Light. Thank you, Friends!
Response: Thanks, Michelle! Our Meeting House was built in 1930 after Herbert Hoover — a Quaker — was elected. The Meeting House includes some old timbers salvaged from an earlier White House renovation. We certainly can't claim to be the oldest Meeting House in the nation. Friends have been meeting at the Third Haven Meeting House in Easton, Maryland, since 1684.
Tom Johnson-Medland
Tom Johnson-Medland: Beautiful space for worshipping and turning within to find QUIET. Building is very clean and the staff so friendly - offering this weary wayfaring stranger respite for thirty minutes of stillness in a busy day. Thank you, FRIENDS! First MEETING FOR WORSHIP in this Meetinghouse was 4 January 1931.
CHARLES LWANGA BANFILA NDIKINTUM
CHARLES LWANGA BANFILA NDIKINTUM: This is the coolest place in DC. Very friendly staff who are all smiles and ready give you all the info you need. Their rental space is the most amazing for wedding and any kind of party. Advicing anyone who needs a cool place for a wedding, meeting, party to give them a call.
Trevor
Trevor: Lots of very kind, friendly people. This place will look amazing when the renovation is complete. Great place to rent out for any event, from a work training session to a wedding or reunion. Lots of different spaces available to rent for any occasion.
José Woss
José Woss: Great people keeping the tradition of Friends (Quakers) who worship waiting for the Divine or God to speak. The lives are never silent in the face of injustice.
Response: Thank you, Jose. And thanks for all that you do for peace and justice.
Leonard Eoussa
Leonard Eoussa: The doctrine of silence is when you meet with yourself. FMW is a place where you can find this harmonious meeting.
Response: Many thanks, Leonard. We are so glad you find it so. Many find the silence to be nourishing, nurturing, and sometimes challenges--a place to connect with Spirit. Dib Dias
Dib Dias: Convention center area, very convenient and well managed. The catering was very good too.
Liz T
Liz T: Nice space with great location and green/ sustainable practices. Appreciated all the drink and snack options. Wish these guys had more locations nationally. Staff was very nice and location was central to most dc stuff. Food was also very good although there were not a lot of options the food was well prepared and fresh. Lots of health precautions and very clean.
Kelly S
Kelly S: BEAUTIFUL space and they sure know how to throw a shindig

Jack Morton Auditorium: what do users think?
Temi I
Temi I: Great venue with wonderful audio visual set up. Convenient place to host an event
taylor
taylor: The actual design of the aud is pretty nice, but the seats go very far to each side, so try to get a seat in the center. The auditorium was very, very cold when I was in it. The audio was good, there is no echo. I’m not sure what the sound is like to the sides.
Keith C.
Keith C.: Saw a presentation about a photographer that went to the artic to study wildlife there. Nice stadium seating in a good area near George Washington University.

The LINE DC: what do users think?
Corry
Corry: We stayed at The Line for three nights and I wish we could have stayed longer! Prior to our arrival the front desk staff were friendly and helpful on the phone with fantastic dinner suggestions and tips for getting around via public transit. We arrived early and were expecting to leave our bags at the front desk but the employee was very accommodating and checked us in. The room was lovely. Incredibly clean bathroom and bedroom, a beautiful view, comfortable bed, and very quiet. We enjoyed downtime either at the rooftop mini bar at night watching planes fly in to Reagan air port or during the day on the patio out front of the hotel. Truly a beautiful hotel and spectacular staff. 10/10 would recommend!!
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words as well as your rating! Please come back and see us again soon!
Mollie Young
Mollie Young: Everything about our experience was incredible. The staff is warm and hospitable, the room was spacious and tasteful (with great city views), and the amenities cannot be beat! We were so excited to use the gym and couldn’t get over equipment options — there’s something for everyone! The hotel restaurant, No Goodbyes, is also a must. The service is excellent and the food is fantastic. Definitely have a cocktail at the bar before or after dinner and check out the coffee shop the next morning. Everything about our stay was wonderful, and we are already planning our return visit!
Response: Thank you so much for your review! I'm forwarding it to the team as we speak! Don't be a stranger!
Sara Urtz
Sara Urtz: Our stay was okay, not great. For the price, I was expecting great. There’s nothing really special about this hotel. There was no fridge to keep waters we brought in (besides the minibar which was full of drinks to buy) and the curtains are paper thin, letting in so much light it was hard to sleep. Great location and staff was friendly, but nothing special besides that.
Response: Hey Sara! I'm sorry you didn't have the experience you would've like or got to use the black out shades that are in every room. The chain to use them is low profile and on the sides of the windows behind the curtains. Come back and see us again and we will ben more than happy to have them drawn upon arrival! And feel free to move anything you'd like from the mini bar for your personal use. We have no problem with that. Have a great day.
Anna Ponamarchuk
Anna Ponamarchuk: Hotel is amazingly beautiful! It looks like Spanish parlament house from outside and it looks like a design studio from incite! So beautiful! Sweet Rachel was there the the mornings both days I was staying. She rescued my life with all the printing for my embassy apartment. She was kind, bubbly, and so helpful! I have a hotel my self and would definitely love to work with her! Kenny helped me on the phone after I checked out. These guys are great! They complete my wonderful stay in The Line DC Definitely recommend and will come back!
Response: WOW! This truly mad my day! Rachel is the best partner a guy could hope for. Thank you so much for your kind words! Kenny
Kevin Shim
Kevin Shim: Staff is friendly. Location is good. Room was decent. The Line DC has everything that typically comes with a 5-star hotel. A restaurant, a gym, conference rooms, and valet parking. The hotel entrance is on the side of the building! Keep in mind that valet parking is going to be $59 per night, which may be worth it since it’s difficult to street park in DC. Due to zoning laws, you’ll only be able to street park for 2-3 hours at most unless you have a resident sticker. The area (it’s called Adams Morgan) has a variety of food options, and generally safe to go out at night. At the time of this writing (early 2022), there was a noticeable homeless presence on the streets of DC. Most are harmless and will leave you alone. The hotel room is decent. The sink water gets scaldingly hot, which you may or may not like. The shower head has strong pressure, so the water will give you a massage. Some of the furnishings in the room seem cheaply done. For example, the power cord for the free standing lamp is fixed onto the wall with some cheap plastic. Some of these fixtures were coming off the wall when I was there. Overall, decent 5-star hotel. Nothing extraordinary.
Response: Thank you for such a thorough and well thought out review of the hotel. I will forward it to the entire team so we can turn that 3 star into a 5 star next time! Have a great day!
photog1976
photog1976: One of the worst restaurant experiences ever. Our waiter forgot dishes and then forgot again for another 25min once reminded and chose to blame the kitchen staff rather than seeking to resolve the situation and make a simple apology. He then slammed down the plates when serving, gave our family the stink eye and walked off without saying a word. We made sure to be polite and respectful the whole time, but this place is just full of staff who think they’re too good for their job. Food was nothing to write home about. Was much better with previous owners.
Response: I'm sorry for your experience at the restaurant, which is surprising considering how many great reviews they receive. Please reach out to us directly at the restaurant so we can discuss the matter in further detail. Thank you.
