China Town: what do users think?

DaReal Fizzie: Food is bussin man. You get the best chinese food for a very affordable price in Columbia Heights. Been eating their since 2010 and god damn they never disappointed me once. And for all of you 1 star reviews, you are not going to a restaurant with 1-3 Michelin Stars. add all the sauces in your chicken and fries to get the best experience my g.

A Bell: Came in based soley on the Google reviews, which are BS and if I could give 0 stars I would! I placed 2 orders for 4 wings and fries, along with an order of springs rolls. For $25 (including tip) I'm totally unimpressed and jive disgusted. While I did receive the full order- I was given egg rolls instead of spring rolls, which I consider strike #1. Strike #2 were the vegetables inside of the egg roll because they were mushy and the whole thing dripped with grease. Strike #3 the chicken wings had a weird taste (per two separate people)...not old grease, not unclean...just weird like a 7/11 type of wing so I only ate half of one. The fries were the best part of the meal and they were drenched in some kind of watered down mumbo sauce. As a DC native, I always look forward to coming home and grabbing some carryout on my way back across the bridge. This experience has left me hungry, disappointed, and very leery of Google reviews.

Will Fowler: This is my favorite restaurant in DC. Yes: the customer service is awful sometimes (although at least one girl who works there is extremely kind). Yes: some of the workers don't really speak English, which makes communication quite hard. And yes: the place is a poorly maintained hole-in-the-wall establishment, and sometimes it's dirty, and homeless people wander in from the street to try and get cigarettes from me or catcall my girlfriend. HOWEVER: for less than $10 you can get the best god damn Chinese food I've ever had in the city - scratch that, the best in my life. I've been treated far worse by people who speak perfect English for far worse food, so I'm giving this 5 stars with the small asterisk to be polite and patient when trying to explain your order over the phone. I don't care if I have to get in ten fights with vagrants, I would fight my own mother for their succulent Seafood Delight. Anyone who complains about the customer service or the decor clearly doesn't understand that immigrants who put their whole life into this establishment might be a little overwhelmed because they're focused on making such ABSOLUTELY SLAPPIN food.

Sally V.: Love the spring rolls, all entree is big portion for 1-2 people but a bit too plain, the taste was OK. If you're looking for tasty food this's not a place for it.

Alyssa: So quick for take out and so good. My favorite is the General Tso’s tofu. BEST spring roll I’ve ever had. Food is always steaming hot. The people who work at the front are always very nice. It’s become my go-to take out! also very cheap and they give you so so much food!! 2-3 meals easily for only ~$12

Christopher Afram: I do not recommend this place. I came here for lunch and ordered Kung pao chicken. I asked for no peas or carrots in the order. When I got back to my office they had it inside. I went back to try something and was told I had to pay extra! For a mistake you make you ask me for 1.50 more? I asked for my money back. Also the forkful of rice I did taste was not good. Once again, I do not recommend

Chiara: HIDDEN GEM! I’ve been looking for a good Chinese place for over a year and have been feeling underwhelmed in DC. This place makes such comforting yummy foods and it will become my go-to spot for sure. I got the lo mein chicken, sesame chicken, and sweet and sour pork. The latter two came with rice. They are all flavorful and the sweet and sour pork was very crispy. I recommend all of them. Also, the woman at the register is so friendly! Highly suggest it!

Na. H: So disappointing to see some bad reviews on here that are directed to the actual Chinatown neighborhood of DC. This restaurant is not affiliated with Chinatown, they just simply carry the same name. Matter of fact this restaurant is not even located in Chinatown, it is located in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood of DC and it's a true staple of that neighborhood. They have the BEST chinese food in DC and also have outstanding prices. The owners are also very nice and friendly. 5/5 stars.

Shante Mixon: I usually get my daughter's fried wings and rice, which are usually ok. But I ordered the sesame chicken today and it was hard and stringy. I'm not sure if it was even chicken. Tasted like flavored plastic.

Miranda Pepin: They're the best, so flavorful and delicious, great prices. If you're looking for that good good, look no further

Chinatown Express: what do users think?

Sarah White: The fresh noodles were delicious and the dumplings were absolutely phenomenal! The dough was thicker than I’m used to but it made it that much better. My only complaint was the duck fried noodles were very bony. Not a lot of meat and not really worth the trouble. I’d go back, but I wouldn’t choose the duck.

Queenie Enriquez: This place have the best duck ever, very tender and delicious. The home made noodles is a must try. Yes, it is small and can get crowded but food is great.

John “Bams” Serev: Very delicious Chinese cuisine. What pulled us in this fine establishment is the Duck Man that was in the front window. He was just messing around with the ducks and chopping them up and what not. The duck man made eye contact with me and he then winked. Next, and without breaking eye contact with me he chopped the next duck in half with a 1 foot clever. Food was awesome duck man was cool. Waitress sucked.

Nay Nay's Kids: I usually don’t do reviews but this place deserves one! I had General Tso chicken with wonton soup and egg rolls.. egg rolls are nothing but brown cabbage, two wontons in a broth that tasted like water and the chicken smh was brown on the inside and taste horrible!!! I could not even eat one piece, just gross!!! I don’t understand how things operate if your food tastes that bad, never again!!!

M C: Very bad experience. In menu, it said Rib, but it is definitely not Rib. In menu, it said hand-made noodle, but it is definitely not, and someone's hair in fhe soup!! There is no *soup* in souo dumpling, it is just freezed and heated with microwave oven. No taste.. Ethical problem!! Please cook the right food!

Judy Blanco: It was ok, I think of all we ordered the Singapore noodles were the best. Definitely wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again.

Mai Ling (SrirachaLing): Delicious food, small atmosphere, right in the heart of Chinatown DC with lots of menu choices. Did i say they have duck? Its was crispy and perfectly cooked. We shared a wonton soup, duck lo mein and chicken w/mixed vegetable.

QDotDizzle: Roast duck noodle soup was slamming, wish there would Have been more breast meat but the broth was dee-lish... They have a good variety of authentic and american style Chinese food. The soup dumpling are fresh handmade And weren't bad... good place if you're on the go!

Nate B: The food was okay. We had the Lo Mein, roasted meat combo, and fried rice. Homeade noodles were kind of thick and needed more seasoning. Roasted duck, chicken and pork were pretty good. Food was served in takeout containers for dine-in. Very hot inside. Service was great. I would recommend giving it a try.

Axi Berman: Excellent duck. Really great place to eat good Chinese food away from the snooty DC crowds. Would fit in nicely in San Fran or Seattle. Reasonably priced. Food so good I crushed it before I could take proper pictures.

Twin Dragon Carry-Out: what do users think?

ICanOnly BeMe: I grew up in this area and when I'm nearby I always stop here! My parents and grandparents ate here too and would come as far as Cathedral Heights to get it. Egg rolls are Dino sized and flavorful. Everything I've had tastes like real food and not pigeon/rat. They aren't the friendliest people but the quality can't be beat.

Shenita Oglesby: Pretty good for a carry out place. Their portions are huge. The shrimp rolls were really good, and their chicken wings and fries are not greasy at all. The location is a bit sketchy, but they get you in-and-out pretty quickly

Sam Leverenz: It’s everything you could want from a Chinese carry out restaurant. Portions are big. The egg rolls are even bigger. The perfect place for Chinese carry out classics.

James Williams: I opened up one Eggroll that I ordered and it was very disappointing I was so mess up because when I was eating at Twin Dragon back in the day they never put cheep meat in anything that they served. It was offull. The chicken eggrolls some meat in it that I never seen before. I'm so messed up about this 😫😪.

Emogene Sanders: Don’t do it! You ever ate something and while eating it you just knew you shouldn’t be eating it? Like it wasn’t in your best interest to continue? Don’t do this to yourself. While the egg rolls are bigger I wouldn’t say they were better. At all. I ordered wings, fries and steak and cheese egg rolls. Idk how you can mess that up. But they managed. I took one bite of the egg roll. Ate one wing. Tried to salvage the fries. It’s only been an hour and I feel sick. Be safe out here. Choose peace.

doreen jones: My experience this time was horrible they usually have good food and outstanding egg rolls but today was not a good day i had a fly in my food (dead)......and when i called her back to complain she hung up on me. Today i just lost my taste for twin dragon and will not be eating there for a while. But dont let my experience stop you from going i will not be attending there for a while.

Jeremy Johnson: Great carryout twin dragons the biggest egg rolls that nobody has it very known for them

Latanya Parker: The staff there was very disrespectful, rude and unprofessional. As a customer I should be able to talk with the staff without being yelled at hung up on when my order was incorrect. I was very calm and just needed a little clarity. I was not deserving of poor customer service.

Brittain Rhodes: Customer service was RUDE! I placed an order called to confirm that the fry's had salt pepper and ketchup on them and the man hung on me and was very rude.

L S: I went to Twin Dragon after months and the shrimp fried rice is terrible, it’s hard, it’s salty, some light, some dark. I hat happened to this place.

Great Wall Szechuan House: what do users think?

Anthony Stewart: Generous portions and food doesn’t take too long to reach the table; as a vegetarian, I was glad to see many options. Unfortunately, they delivered one portion of my meal with meat, even though it was ordered vegetarian. I thought it tasted funny, but I didn’t want to make an issue when I was unsure. By the third bite, I was certain and even spat out the meat into my napkin to inspect the rather large chunk of it. (Needless to say, I had to excuse myself from the table for a moment.) I mentioned it to the waitress and she “handled” it. Handling it meant that they apologized and brought a new, vegetarian version out and assured me that all was in order. They still charged me instead of simply taking it off of my bill. If they’d done that, I’d go back, but since they didn’t, I won’t be going back. Pity. They chose $1.95 one time instead of absorbing the cost and having me return dozens of times over the next few years. Oh, well!

Haleigh Eppler: Great neighborhood spot for take out Chinese. I love the ma la menu for that mouth numbing spice. I always mean to take a picture but find myself devouring my food first. The meifun options are also well made. I haven’t had the American Chinese food here so can’t speak to that.

MrMrs K: I love this place. If possible, Great Wall, please stop limiting your DoorDash delivery radius. Door Dash generally delivers anywhere but your page routinely is either not accepting delivery orders at all OR says my house is too far.

timliu75 tim: We had a high hope to get some decent Szechuan dishes from this place, but the dishes come out at average levels. We ordered the Tofu Fish Fillet with Spicy Sauce, but the Tofu cubes were bland. The fish-flavored eggplants were a little greasy. I think their American-Chinese dishes might worth trying.

Nafis Imroz Khan: Would've given 0 stars if that was possible. Chicken wontons had absolutely no chicken in it. Crispy Szechuan beef was pretty much only flour. And it was the least crispy thing you can ever have. It was as soft and mushy as you can imagine. Cashew chicken didn't seem like it was chicken, god knows what it was. In one entire order I found 1 piece of soft cashew. Shrimp toast tasted like regular toasted bread.

Peter Ahn: First and last time ordering from this place. Ordered mapo tofu with pork and rice to go. After opening it at home, tofu looked too chunky when mapo tofu supposed to show cottage cheese like appearance but with silkier texture. Spat it back out after swallowing only a little bit of the first bite immediately followed by rinsing my mouth. Somehow it smells and tastes like some harsh chemical like Windex or something. DC health department needs to be involved.

Nathan Cornell: Do not trust this place. They don't respect their customers. The website clearly says they are open until 930pm. We walked from our place 25 minutes to get there. Arrived at 910pm. They pushed us out. Said they are closed. Apparently they close when they feel like it. Doesn't matter to them how far you traveled to see them. Have respect for your customers. Walmart doesn't close early because they are not busy for example. Don't travel there past 730pm I guess. They close when they want to

Sam Wiles: Very good traditional Szechuan food. The ma po tofu was amazing and the ma la wontons were the best I've had in a long time. My friend got the General Tso's chicken, which I joked was the least Chinese item on the menu. It was also great with a special Szechuan twist on it. I will have to come back and try more on the menu.

Sean Holland: Confirmed our order and kept us waiting for 30 minutes before they canceled it. Also one time we ordered and they were obviously out of chicken because they literally gave us store-bought frozen chicken nuggets in our dishes.

Özge Yoluk: Amazing food, friendly service! Tried roasted pork Chow Fun noodle dish, not spicy, soft, well cooked. A bit on the oily side if you don't like oily food.

Yum's: what do users think?

Mackenzie Hepker: Awesome food, great service - these guys were super slammed on a weekend night and killed it! Well worth the wait (which was still super reasonable even though it was so busy!) Will absolutely order from here again. Mapo tofu was delicious.

Tatiana Valentine: This carry out Chinese restaurant is one of the best meals you can get in DC. Their lo mein and chow ho fun noodles are amazing, all their soups have great broth, and I'm obsessed with their rib tips. If you want a meal that is great every time, and reheats like a dream, this is your place. 10/10

Tracy-Ann Grannell: Absolutely TRASH!! The shrimp fried rice was so mushy and flavorless!! It tasted old like rancid old. Wing were trash. The small fries didn’t even fill the container. Wings were also trash. This place is tragic!! Shut it down

S. Dantzler: Came to get some mombo wings and steak and cheese egg rolls. Food was hot and fresh. Wish we got a little more sauce on our wings, but still good!

sonata sonata: I ordered from the website buffalo wings for delivery with Uber Eats. The website displays a picture of buffalo wings as regular wings coated with buffalo sauce. So I placed the order. After placing the order, I contacted them for clarity and I was informed that those were not the wings that I would be receiving. I pleaded with them to give me regular wings and they would not give me regular wings under NO CIRCUMSTANCES...So disappointing.

Gerre General: Called in an order for 4 wings with fries. As I come into the restaurant the clerk at the register is yelling at a black man over 85cents. The man is saying he orders that often and it’s less than the 85cents the clerk is yelling about. He was very hostile towards the man really didn’t want to give him a refund as the customer just wanted his money back and to stop being verbally abused. After waiting 10 minutes-he was still dragging his feet to do the refund I left and got food elsewhere. Will not be back and they need to be mindful of how they talk to people.

Brooks Ward: Yum's: If you want to eat where construction workers eat, Yum's!! Go for steak and cheese egg roll, cheeseburger sub, hot ham and cheese sub, wings and fries w mumbo sauce, dont expect much, and you'll get a greazy gut bomb that's actually pretty well made. I miss this place a ton.

Carmenise Barber: Food was good and hot … however they don’t honor the times posted on their restaurant. It showed closing at 4am we arrived at 2:50 and doors were locked but ppl inside would not service and stated they closed at 3am however it wasn’t even 3am

Wayne HarRell: DO NOT order from there! I watched the cook pick up french fries off the floor with the tongs. Then he stuck them back into the french fries! I told the cashier. She apologized 3 times! He ran away when he saw me about to take a picture. That's why the station is clear in my foto. The Horrible thing about the situation is that he washed the tongs But they Never threw away the fries. Some poor person may become deathly ill from there tonight. I paid for my food but threw it away! And yes, I have a receipt. BEWARE!!!

Romell: Another great food spot. Food was fresh and flavorful. They could use a little more organization when it comes to ordering and picking food. People would easily cut in front of you if they had a call in order.

Eddie's Cafe Chinese Cuisine: what do users think?

Joshua Drewes: Solid Chinese food - I had the chicken and vegetables, and it comes with hot sour soup. Not greasy, full of flavor and well worth it. Hot and sour soup is soooo good. I could have a pint of that and be happy. Food came out in under 5 min - packaged well for take out. Love this place

Hwa Shi-Hsia: Kung pao chicken was pretty tasteless, just sugary. Definitely not ordering this again. Will update my review in future if I try other things.

Cynthia C: We finished from dinning at the Lebanese place across the street, feeling unfulfilled and underwhelming, saw this place and got a Hot and Sour soup to go, and it was amazing, exactly what I wanted, actually one of the best hot&sour soup I had for a while, so would definitely recommend!

Maksim Zaretskiy: I used to get takeout here for years. Food was always half decent, if you know what to get. Then one time I saw the lady at the register take what was left of the soup that she was eating and pour it into another to-go container. She then packaged it into a brown paper bag with the rest of the order and send it off like nothing happened. She tried to hide behind the plastic so I wouldn't see, but that obviously didn't work. Needless to say I haven't been there since, but I wonder how many times I ate someone's leftovers.

Maggie Zheng: So good, large portions and so cheap!! They also deliver for only a dollar. Really really awesome. I got the chicken fried rice and hot and sour soup.

Tom Kunsman: Simply best Chinese food I’ve had in a while. Carry out only. But very fresh. Highly recommend

Andrea Gaitan: I love how flavorful the food here is, decent portions and prices. Great location and the speed they have to prepare all is great.

Linnea: Have to admit that as neighbors, we've overlooked this tiny restaurant, which offers takeout but has no place to sit indoors -- just a few seats on the wide sidewalk outside. (Truth be told, we kind of assumed it mainly served tourists.) But all we get these days is takeout and this evening we were craving Chinese food -- the sort we could find easily in Southern California, not the Asian-fusion dishes you get so often in DC (which to us are more like Thai and Vietnamese.) After reading some positive reviews and finding out that it was indeed open (despite the fact that Woodley Park's two big hotels have been closed for months), we decided to give Eddie's Cafe a try. We're SO glad we did and are just sorry it took us so long! Each dish was prepared in a different style, with different sauces and flavors; the portions were large; and it tasted really good. (Kung Pao Chicken, Eggplant with Ginger & Basil Sauce, and Pan Fried String Beans.) And we've got soup saved for tomorrow to enjoy with the leftovers. This is actually the best Chinese food we've found in this neighborhood, and we plan to become regulars. Don't ignore what seem to be holes-in-the wall!

Kyle Marcum: For a hole-in-the-wall Chinese carry-out restaurant, it deserves 3 or 4 stars. It's not amazing Chinese food, but it's good for the price. I had General Tso's. It came with a darker sauce that had a good taste but wasn't unfortunately wasn't very spicy. The chicken was well cooked but there were some fatty pieces.

Logan Schmidt: This is our neighborhood spot, sorta hole-in-the-wall looking. LOVE the food though—flavors are on point, portions are huge, and everyone is very friendly. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quick, tasty Chinese food.

Hong Kong Carryout: what do users think?

JONATHAN RODRIGUEZ: Anything I eat from here is good haven't been let down at all not once. I drive 7 miles just to eat here the Chinese spots around me are trash. Hong Kong is gonna serve you right. Updating with new photos because I'm still driving to get good food. The crab ragoons are my favorite i always order 2 1 for me 1 for the wife and kids lol

Erica Wall: The food was DISGUSTING. I order a shrimp and broccoli and a shrimp fired rice. Two dishes that pretty hard to mess up since this was our first time trying their food. The shrimp had a slimy texture and tasted unreal. The sauce to the shrimp and broccoli was water down like soup. The steak and cheese was miniature compared to other carry out in the area. The food was JUST TERRIBLE. Overall, I would NOT recommend.

Megha Fernandes: Really great value and great Chinese food on the Hill!! The General Tao’s chicken was breaded well and the sauce was flavorful, the lo mein was packed and had a good flavor, and the egg roll was crisp! The only so so dish was the fried rice which was just fine. But overall will definitely order again!

Andrew Farrell: Typical Chinese restaurant. Pretty cheap food options though. Menu online was out of date so I added an updated one as of 3/5/21. Good sesame chicken combo. Rice was good, chicken decent. They use a heavy coating of bread on the fried chicken, but the meal was still good for the price. Will probably serve me for two meals worth

Charity Parks: The chicken wings are really good fried hard with a side of GenTso sauce yumm singapore noodles were also good with just the right curry flavor. Steak and cheese was okay they just need to add more meat on sandwich

Sophia Forte: We order from here all the time through Doordash. It is soooooo good. My favorite things are the sesame chicken and egg rolls. I highly recommend!

Devin Kelsey: I want to give an honest review here but every time I write one I look at it & realize it sounds way too mean to submit so I’ll let the star rating speak for itself.

Leslie Arnelle TV: In all the years I've favored this particular dish I have found that not one chinese carryout in the entire dmv has better singapore noodles with shrimp and chicken. Taste to texture hong kong carryout has THE best version of this dish!

Stephanie Graves: Food is now overpriced GREASY and BLAND!.it used to be the best CARRYOUT in the area but not anymore and the cashier is extremely rude!.I asked if she could put more sauce on my wings and she said there was enough on the bottom of the container!..then FLIPPED THE CONTAINER OVER AND SHOOK IT and said it's on EVERYTHING now!...i told her SHE COULD EAT IT! got my money back and left!..She's Not at all like Annie that used to work there, and I won't be going back!

Lexie Rock: General Tso’s Shrimp is delicious! One of the best Chinese food places I’ve had in DC. Also, this place is cash only.

Chinese Dragon: what do users think?

Elynyand Davis: Very good Chinese food. The lady was so nice. I really enjoyed my food. The prices are not bad at all.

Julio Garcia: Food is good nothing special. Customer service could improve. Would like to see these places upgrade as much as the places around them.

Robert: Good food but place was incredibly dirty and beaten down and i should've listened to some of the other reviews. This place will straight up rob you. My food should've totalled $14 + tax and instead was charged $18.50. I will never come to this place again. If they will rob you in your face like that what corners do you think they'll cut food wise? I'm only giving a 2 star because the seasoned fries and fried wonton were actually good.

Olujimi Kuti: Good wings, but they will mix in old wings that have been fried twice often. I specifically ask for fresh wings and still got refried wings mixed in no bigger than my finger. They lost my business with this practice.

Joy Robinson: Cheap place, good food. The sweet and sour chicken reheated perfectly in the oven and I loved that they gave me the sauce for it in a separate container so the leftovers didn't get soggy.

Raphael Tisch: It's your typical corner Chinese place, but their chicken tenders are the best I've had in DC! Get em with a side of broccoli and garlic sauce, you won't regret it.

Mark Onley: This place, and the people who run it, are fantastic. Lived next door for a couple years and regularly ate here. Very flavorful dishes (especially the fried tofu dishes) and kind staff. Best quick Chinese in the district- I highly recommend it!

Anna Lopez: Haven’t been here for almost 30 years. Place hasn’t changed a bit. Carry out food was always good and continues its legendary menu. Neighborhood has definitely upgraded as all DC has. Very somber events occurred in this carry out back in the 80’s when we encountered the crack era. Nice to see it’s till hanging on.

Christian Delein: ....this is a good restaurant ..good food.....tha story I want to share with y'all..is a true one. Happened in 1988 1989...one nite. 2 young black teenagers where shot inside tha Chinese dragon. .one boy was shot deid on tha seen tha other was shot.mutiple times...and rushd to tha hospital....back then 48 hours did a story on tha crack epidemic.in Washington DC..it was a very bad time around that Aria..y'all can find this old news clip on YouTube....god bless this establishement...💖

Doug Hanson: Doesn't look like much, and is carry out only, but this place has the high quality food I was looking for. We are visiting DC, and I can't imagine finding a better place here for reasonable prices and wonderful flavors. We had Springrolls, Hot & Sour Soup, and a spicy tangy Chicken dish. All were excellent, and dinner portions are good sized. Highly recommended!!

Reren Lamen & Bar: what do users think?

Anthony M: Everything was really good and you can tell the noodles are made in house. The Grandmas pancakes were excellent and the Dan Dan noodles were particularly enjoyable. The location is convenient from the conference center, and somewhat small. However, the service is friendly, quick, and excellent. I will have to revisit this location to try the Ramen sometime.
Response: Anthony, Thanks for your review. First of all, I would like to thank you for your visit, we appreciate your feedback and value your service. We do our best in serving our community by providing high-quality ingredients brought fresh daily, providing large portions, and training our staff to provide the best customer service in the area. Make sure to check us out on Instagram/Facebook for daily/weekly updates/deals. If you have any requests prior to visiting feel free to message me here and I will do my best :)

Adam N: I cannot find good soup dumplings where I live now. So when I travel I have to try the nearest place. These soup dumplings were pretty good. Right in the middle of everywhere I've tried. I would go back for them. As for the rest or the menu I have no idea.
Response: Adam, Thank you for your wonderful review. We are happy you've found your favorite soup at Reren. We are proud to have a wide variety of options for our customers and we like to use clean ingredients to keep our food on the healthier side! We stand for the highest quality ingredients and authenticity compared to any Chinese restaurant in the area. We are a family-oriented business and love to serve our community the best we can! Make sure to check us out on Instagram/Facebook for daily/weekly updates/deals. If you have any requests prior to visiting feel free to message me here and I will do my best :) @rerenlamen

arun varughese: A decent place for ramen. I had grilled chicken Leren. The service was quick as I got the item in 10 mins. Chicken noodle leren : The broth was very nice and kind of carried the dish. The chicken felt very less in quantity and tasted very bland. The noodles felt a bit overcooked. Overall it is an average dish for the price. The overall quantity of noodles and soup is good. I was expecting a much stronger flavor from an Asian dish, maybe that’s why I was a bit underwhelmed.
Response: Arun, Thank you for sharing your experience. At TNR's we use the highest quality and fresh ingredients. When anyone thinks of Chinese culinary it has to be fresh food made from scratch. We always advise our customers to please let us know your taste preferences so we can provide you with the best experience. We hope to have you try us again & please let us know your preference so we can adjust anything accordingly. Feel free to check us out on Social media (Instagram & Facebook) for the latest updates. @rerenlamen

Albert Wu: The house soup noodle has three pieces of pork that taste fine but there’s too much fat. The vegetable doesn’t look great. The soup base is average. The noodle is chewy but not spectacular. The fish ball soup is unimpressive. The edamame is good. The DC Chinatown is not as exciting as Chinatowns in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or even Boston. Should not expect too much from the Chinatown restaurants in DC
Response: Albert Wu, Truly sad to hear that! We actually use the highest quality ingredients. Unlike most restaurants in the area, we get our ingredients fresh and from the best suppliers in the nation. I advise you that many restaurants in not just in the DMV area but all over the states use US Foods pre-packaged food full of preservatives. That could be some customer's taste preference and we do not oppose it by any means but at Reren we always believe in the freshest and highest quality ingredients. Every single ingredient is prepared in-house! Our staff is always trained to make sure to provide the best experience to our customers. We believe in the best products for our customers. If there is ever any desire on food taste etc please feel free to let us know the specifics on how you may want your dish prepared. We will try to do our best for you :) Hope to have you dine in again and we will prove why Reren is loved by the entire community.

Kim Nguyen: This was my first time having lamen. I ordered the Reren Signature Lamen and the Chen Duong spicy wontons. The food was okay. It wasn’t as tasty as I was hoping it to. However I do like the texture of the lamen noodle. It was worth a try.
Response: Kim, Thank you for your feedback. We stand by the highest quality ingredients, large portions, authentic food, and hygiene which makes our community value us. We are always open to alter our dishes according to your taste and preferences!

Nikkicole8890: My boyfriend took me here for dinner for my first time in DC and I absolutely loved it! We had Bao buns that were so scrumptious! I've dreamed of these since my trip up there 🤤🤤 We also had pork dumplings and the pork soup dumplings that were the best dumplings I think I've ever had in my life! We also ordered milk tea before we left and it was delicious! I had strawberry coconut and my boyfriend had passion fruit (I think) his was a little on the tart side but still enjoyable and I loved mine!!
Response: Nikkicole8890, Thank you for taking the time and writing such an amazing review. We are so happy you enjoyed our food and have found your favorites. We look forward to serving you again and please let us know how we can assist you prior to any of your visits. We are here for you every day. Sok Hwee Tay: We are in DC for a few days. We ate here the first night of our stay and it was so good we returned again. Their drinks are really good too. Must try.
Response: Sok Hwee Tay, Thank you for taking the time to share your 5-star rating. We look forward to seeing you during your next visit.

Kayode Yussuf: This is my most visited restaurant in DC. I love the coconut bubble tea. Staff is friendly and Price is also reasonable. I usually will get the General Tao Chicken and rice. Stirred fried noodles is also exciting
Response: Kayode Yussuf, Thanks for your review. First of all, I would like to thank you for your visit, we appreciate your feedback and value your service. Lord Eldwyn: Broth was a huge standout, and the noodles cooked to perfection. The soup dumplings were phenomenal. Great service, and staff was very attentive. Come early because things can sell out. Only complaint is that I dont live in the area and can't return more often.
Response: Lord Eldwyn, Thank you for your positive feedback. We are so proud to serve the food that is worth everyone's attention:) We pride ourselves on our food quality, sourcing the best ingredients, and providing a safe and sanitary experience for all of our guests. Andrew Douglas: This place is just incredible, I had the spicy Kung Fu Ramen and some pork dumplings and they were just plain delicious. I highly recommend this place to anybody getting off the DC metro at Gallery Place or anyone stopping by DC! Great first stop in the city :)

New Dynasty: what do users think?

Molly Cooper: This place was wonderful!! I got the sesame tofu and broccoli and substitute rice for steamed veggies, plus a jasmine green tea. The food was so good! This is one of the best tofu dishes I’ve ever had, it was still crispy and the sauce was delicious. The vegetables were done perfectly, and I think my friends thoroughly enjoyed their meals too. I will come back here AS SOON as I come back to DC. I can’t wait :)!!
Response: What a lovely review! Thank you, Molly! We're happy you love New Dynasty as much as we do. We hope we'll see you again soon!

imtiaz ahmad: Totally enjoyed the food and the service. I would highly recommend this place if you like Chinese food and reasonable prices. You won’t be disappointed!
Response: Thank you for the kind review, Imtiaz! We're happy you enjoy your time at New Dynasty and like our food. We hope to see you again, soon!

Doa Al: We tried many different things in the menu. Everything came out hot and fresh. We got chicken corn soup, orange chicken, sesame chicken, fried rice, three flavor lo mein, cream cheese wontons and spring rolls. Love that it was halal since there are not much halal Chinese options in the area

Nadeem Khaliq: Something’s never change! And that’s a good thing in this case. One of the most authentic Chinese halal spots around! Always clean made to order fresh Chinese. Worth the trip or a casual drop in.
Response: Thank you for your review, Nadeem! We do try to keep things authentic, so glad you enjoy our food!

Austin Graff: If you like Chinese takeout, Dupont Circle's new Dynasty does a good job. When my family of three did a staycation at a nearby hotel, we ordered pick up via Uber Eats and it was ready within 15 minutes of ordering on a Friday evening. To feed the three of us, we ordered wonton soup, Mongolian Beef, General Tsao's Chicken and Orange Chicken. The three main dishes came with steamed rice. Each was tasty, but the winner was the General Tsao's Chicken. The Mongolian Beef was good, but it was mainly onions with little beef. Service was friendly and prices decent for an expensive city like Washington, D.C.
Response: Thank you for your review, Austin! We are happy to serve your family on your staycation. Please visit us again when you are in DC.

Moiz Arif: Really liked the taste of the dishes we ordered in a long time. Will definitely order again.
Response: Thank you for your review, Moiz! We hope to see you again soon!

Abdul Syamsuddin: Have been here a couple of times during my visit to DC. Ordered tofu with mixed vegetables, shrimp noodles, and fried rice. It was so authentic so I could miss home that much. The staff was also friendly so we could have a talk before we left. If I'm not being apart 16,426Km away, this will be my favorite place to have dinner with family. Thank you for serving such a lovely dish so I could miss this place so much.
Response: What a heartwarming review. Thank you, Abdul! We hope to see you when you are in DC again!

Eddies: Solid little Chinese eatery and longtime stand-by in the Circle. They have a good mix of standard Chinese/American as well as healthy and more traditional Chinese fare. Place is clean, food is always fresh and hot, and prices are generally competitive for the area.
Response: Thank you for the review, Eddies! We hope to see you again soon!

A: it was fine. I loved the lo mein and the timeliness, so 3 stars there, but 2 stars off for the overcooked, tough shrimp, and the undercooked broccoli. its a little pricey for a carryout spot so I was expecting a little bit better

Faizah Zafar: Amazing food, great service, affordable prices, and fully Halal! We drove from Florida and this was the best Chinese food we ever had. I hope to come back one day.
Response: Thank you for your review, Faizah! Please do visit us again whenever you are in DC!

Golden China Chinese Restaurant: what do users think?

Shermira Mortimer: I will never eat here again and they had the nerve to have a attitude when I called and complained. Not edible at all. If I could have gave them a zero I would have

KB: I’ve been going here for years and the quality has greatly declined even in how they interact with customers. Called in to order but was told to hold, without them muting their background and was confused on if they were talking to me or another person so then I hung up. I then walked into the store to order and was waiting awhile before really being acknowledged. Several calls were taken over the phone even after I stepped into the carry out. I ordered chicken wings and French fries with hot sauce on the chicken and it was over drenched but I ate anyways only cause I was hungry. The hot sauce taste alil weird like it’s mixed with mambo. My man also ordered a egg roll and while I stepped out of the store at the time he claims that the roll was thrown out of the window while saying “here”. Here to who? There was one other person in there waiting at the time. They need to step it up or just find another profession cause the customer service and food was disappointing.

Denise Swann: This place is some sh.. the food was nasty down to the egg roll and I should of known something was wrong the drive had an attitude and would not get out of the car. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My score wouldn’t even be a star not even one.

James Pagels: Extremely rude delivery driver, Sloppy food delivery in addition to insisting that I come outside in the snow for food ( I had my 2 year old two-year-old niece and there is a delivery fee.) Small portions, Jerry’s is way better or simply grub hub.

HAPPY CRAFTY CAT: I had 5 fried wings with fries and an extra order of fries. The food was fresh and tasty! I'd go back again.

Evan Ribeiro: These folks really have it together. Online ordering is a piece of cake. Food is abundant and delicious. The staff has been friendly to me each and every time no matter how busy it is. Orders were always on time each and every time I ordered for takeout.

Joseph Zomerfeld: Just drove in from Lafayette, Indiana, have been craving some good Chinese food for days before I came back to DC and this place totally hit the spot! Ordered at the Holiday Inn and it came fast and piping hot! Delicious, and 5 stars from 3 very satisfied customers.

T: Great great food! Thats all i have to say about that!

Antonia Hunter: I didn't like their Philadelphia Hoagie @ all. I was SO disappointed. I hope that they find some other meat to use besides what I had. All the rest of their food is DELICIOUS!! I will still give them my money but not for their Hoagie until they change the meat choice

Dan Carp: Good local, small shop Chinese food. Portions were solid and prices reasonable. Tasty food - not gourmet, but wasn't expecting it to be. No complaints!

Hunan Dynasty: what do users think?

David Brenton: We have been trying to find a solid Chinese place in NE - we were city lights believers before. Hunan was very solid - we will most likely be back. Fried rice was flavorful, pork didn't taste weird, general TSOs was solid as well, highlight cream cheese wontons - no crab - amazing. Everyone knows the crab makes it worse. The beef chow fun was also good, beef was flavorful and noodles saucy.

Lauren Friedman: Finally got take out from here after living around the block for 4 years and I don't know what took us so long! We ordered General Tso's Eggplant and the Fish Fillet with Spicy Sauce (in Chef's Specials) and both were delicious, but especially the fish! The dried peppers really made the dish. I'll definitely be going back soon.

Stephen Manning: General Tso chicken not spicy. It’s sweet. I asked for spicy general tso with sesame on top. Before leaving I check the receipt says Sesame Chicken Spicy. I’ve known other restaurants where it’s much more of a difference between the two dishes. I asked, to be clear about this. I asked about the veggies. They said only broccoli. It came with 2 tiny pieces of broccoli garnish. Way too saucy too. Like yuck. I didn’t check before I left. I wanted to be surprised. I guess my complaint is they gave me the wrong order? Idk. Worst Xmas dinner ever. Worst part is that it was the owner that did me like this. Broccoli cooked perfect. Rice is good. Very nice staff

Wilson Fujinaga: Hunan is pretty awesome, not the best but DEF not the worst. They’ve come through time and again. I’ve noticed that depending on what day of the week you order, the food quality varies a lot… so I tend to order on those days only! 😜

John Lazzeroni Jr.: Fantastic place for simple yet delicious food. Was initially going to order off of UberEats but the restaurant's own delivery was faster, cheaper and it supports their business more. Recommend you get takeout from here and do the same, you won't be disappointed.
Response: Thanks for your kind words! We are so happy that your experience with us was so happy and smooth. Hope to see you soon!

Thomas Smithfield: You can't beat their lunch special price. Comes with tea, soup, spring roll, dish and choice of rice or noodles. All for under $15. Price is well under the average lunch price in area. Tasty as well.

Richard Ma: The man (owner?) was very rude. I came in to ask for directions to a bathroom. I was in dire need and could see they had one, but he said it was for customers only, which I understand is common practice for many restaurants. However, he began yelling at me to leave when I asked for directions. Given that there were no other customers at the time (very quiet weekend noon hour) and that I was really just trying to politely find a bathroom, this left a very sour taste in my mouth.

Jenese Garland: BEST egg, cheese, bacon and a surprise of avocado on croissant I've eaten here!! Cute strawberry flowers. There's few breakfast options on the Hill, this is one of the best! Great food, really great prices. My experience with the people there is very friendly service. Thank you Hunan Dynasty!

Rafik K.: Weird taste of General TSO chicken.Chicken tasted like 90% fat.1 star for fast delivery!

Rosa Trinidad Florian: First time eating here while visiting DC. The food was great, the prices were great and the service was too. Before my trip was over I had to stop there again, they have really hood lunch and dinner specials- the portions are good too.

Mayflower Chinese Carryout: what do users think?

Donna WalkerJackson: Food made me sick, never again. Its a shame my man was trying to do something nice for me because I cook all the time. But I'm not mad at him because it's not his fault.

Tony Lyons: This place RULES. The portions are generous and the price cannot be beat. Best sweet and sour pork I've had in a LONG time.

Thomas Johnson: I’ve been there probably dozens of times now. It’s my go to takeout spot in Columbia heights/my pleasant. Love the general tso’s combo platter (great value) and their pork lo mein and crab Rangoon are consistently perfect.

Cassandra Fuentes: Love this place! This is my go-to for chicken wings, fries, and mumbo sauce. I've been to a few other places, but no one else compares! Other places have different consistency and taste. Mt. Pleasant in general is one of my favorite blocks due to the food, history, and community. This place has been around for decades, so glad to see it has survived!

M D: Literally the only carry out I will order from in DC since I was a teenager. My faves ❤️

Billy R: It is a great carryout place. I generally order on Tuesday or Wednesday nights because I find the food tastes better these nights. It is generally ready in 10/15 min top. I am a local and I thought that after a few years I should give them some credits by rating them. The only reason why it is not 5 star it is because the waiting area could be nicer and I wish the quality was more consistent on other nights. Other than that the people in the kitchen and at the checkout are nice and I like the food!

Krizia: Good Chinese food at a great price! Super fast too! Paid 6 bucks for a small sweet and sour chicken and rice and was it way more than I thought ! Also the specials which are about 10 bucks each with rice and can easily serve two! Was the nearest Chinese place to where I was staying and really hit the spot. Was full and happy ! And I got some leftovers for breakfast tomorrow too! For the price you won't be dissappointed.

April Wright: Great food! but customer service to us BLACK PEOPLE is horrible!!!!!! I politely sat and observed the lady who works there. I ordered my food first she gave me the worst attitude ever rolling her eyes, snatching my card, slamming my card back on the counter instead of in my hand. Someone of another race ordered after me she was very polite and handled herself very well.

Rosa Walker: Love their food! Never disappointed. Wings always fresh and fried hard ( how I like em), fries always hot, and my usual Spicy Shrimp and Broccoli with fried rice is always delicious! Wish they delivered though. Lol

Elia Ahadi: Amazing chinese food at a good price!

Mischa: This restaurant is okay. The food and the tea were fairly good. I had dumplings and tea. The only problem I had is that the person who served me my food almost aggressively asked me for a tip in the end. A tip is a gift for great service, not an automatic right or something that you ask for. That is not professional in my opinion. Other than that, the food itself was fine.

Samantha Choa: Food not good at all. We waited 45 mins for the peking duck expecting it to be worth the wait but no it was like it was just heated in a microwave. The server DEMANDED tip and even ask more. I already put a tip but wants more. We have friends who are from Japan and tip is not something they are use but the server demanded her to give tip. Do not bother to go here.

Monday X.: I'm leaving a review to save this place because these are genuinely the best pan fried meat dumplings (aka pot stickers) I've ever had. I came in here after watching a film and was seated immediately, and the service was great. My food came out extremely quickly and they brought out extra sauces when asked. This is definitely a go-to if you're ever in DC late at night.

Jered Brown: I stayed across the street in a hotel and this was definitely a late night spot to hit if you were looking for something quick to eat. I have never had any Chinese spots like this. Their food was on a different level. Not your regular carry out joint when it came to the food. I literally cannot find a place better in Baltimore or in DC now. The vibe is nice too if dinning in late night.

flaming noodle: I don't ever leave reviews, but I found urine on my napkins. My boyfriend has been going to this place for years and LOVES it and introduced it to me. We both love the food and it is a shame to leave this bad review. We ordered a to-go order. In the bag was a fork and some white napkins. When I wiped my face with a napkin I noticed the sharp smell of urine, and saw that there was a yellow drop on my napkin. Immediately we checked the other napkins in the stack and saw there was a yellow drop on the others, probably where it had soaked through the top one. We are so confused and disgusted, and obviously didn't finish the food after because who knows. We don't know how this could have happened, on accident or on purpose. I wanted to call the restaurant first so maybe they could find out what happened but they didn't listen to me and just insisted their napkins are clean. Well, the plastic bag was closed up when we picked up our order so we don't know how those urine drops could have gotten on those napkins otherwise. I am NOT imagining this. This is a humiliating experience and we won't be coming back.

Dc Celebrity: I stopped by Big Wong DC in Chinatown last night to give them a try.. food was good.. my only recommendation is not go at night, after dark.. alot of homeless people, loitering and etc outside on the street, I felt very unsafe..

Paul VanBeuge: No doubt about it, the name grabs your attention. After you get the giggles out over the name, take a walk in the wild side and venture in for a meal. You won’t be disappointed by the warm hospitality and tasty food. There’s a lot to choose from on the menu and the staff are quick to happy to help select something. I recommend the jelly fish and short ribs.

Joey Kilgore: Went on a cold Friday night and was literally the only people in here. The waitress left us alone and brought the food out as it was ready. Personally I don't enjoy having people interrupt my meals, so I was happy. The spring rolls were decent. Not a fan of the egg rolls. The general tso's chicken was good (though it wasn't spicy at all) and the sweet and sour chicken was good. Definitely overpriced for what it is, but there aren't many Chinese food options in the area, so sometimes you have to pay a premium. Wouldn't recommend it if you are just visiting the area, but if you're a local and haven't had Chinese food in a while, this place has it.

Alexander Herbert: I saw some reviews about people getting harassed for tips, but I encountered no such thing. I usually tip 15 to 20%. The food was quite fresh, and service was of high quality. This is an authentic Chinese joint, a real slice of life. The menu was extensive, and the only thing I regret is that I did not try the frog legs as well.

Sil Bee: My partner and I were looking for food in general (after failed Paella) and went to China Town. The majority of the restaurants were closed and we were starving. We stumbled upon this 'downstairs' place and decided to go in. We were greeted immediately and sat down. We ordered Pork Fried Rice and Chicken Lo Mein. The food arrived in a timely manner and it was so so good. Friendly staff. We will definitely be back! Thank you New Big Wong for satisfying our hunger!

ghe rahadi: Ordered pan fried pork dumpling, I'd say it's 8/10. This place only accept cash and take out. The cashier lady was nice though

Nathaly Agosto Filion: So delicious! They gave me something I didn't order (understandable since I changed my mind while placing the order) but I loved it anyway haha. Definitely more than worth the minor inconvenience of taking out cash at CVS.

Albert Wu: Pretty good rice noodle. Unfortunately now it’s take out only. Food taste good and prices are reasonable.

TruthN: We didn't know there was no dine in. They opened 5 minutes late and are cash only. The food was good but oily. The prices for what you get are great! If you need chinese food at 930am, a must for you!

Yuh Wen Ling: This little joint is terrific. I love thr fresh shrimp rice crepe (so great!), chicken sticky rice, and the beef chow fun is sooooo good. Also awesome is that you cam buy fresh rice noodles at a super reasonable price. They taste great, but nothing tops that beef chow fun. Fast and friendly service as well. Cash only...this place is a gem!
Response: thanks for your comment

The MAYster: Stopped by during a 1 day visit to DC - no dine in so we ordered 3 dishes and ate in the car... THE BEST chicken chow fun EVER - sautéed to perfection and their pork fried dumplings and steamed beef noodle rivaled the best dim sum I have had in NYC and Philly. Cannot wait to return to DC just to have more of their dishes....
Response: thanks for your comment

Hannah Collingwood: I'm from NYC and China Boy was out of this world good. Everything was delicious, I wish I could give them a higher rating. Their concise menu reflects the care in which they make their dishes. I will go out of my way to pickup food whenever I can. 10/10 don't miss out!
Response: 💪🌸🌸🌸🌸🌈

Shawn Batlivala: Great food. Cash only. No frills, but great taste and quick service. There is no seating at all currently (Apr 2022). Will continue to come back when I'm in DC.

Megan Long: I LOVE this place! It reminds me of my childhood in NYC Chinatown. The service is fast and efficient, and the location is convenient to Gallery Place! The beef rice noodle crepe and the dried shrimp rice noodle crepe are the freshest I’ve ever had because they are always made to order. An order of each will cost you just under $7, which is amazing for a lunch in DC.

Mei Mandy: This by far the best beef chow fun and steam shrimp crepe in US. I’m a Cantonese growth up in Hong Kong and these taste like those I’ve in my hometown - I can tell it’s freshly made

Noodles On 11: what do users think?

Abi Maghamfar: Stopped by for late lunch. Ordered Edamame, Green Curry Chicken with rice, Roasted Pork Rice Noodle soup and Sticky Rice with Mango. The green curry sauce was one of the best I've ever had and the chicken was tender. The roasted pork soup and the sticky rice mango were delicious as well. Service was friendly and proficient. The reason for 4 star vs 5 is because of the interior atmosphere, which is in need of of some tlc such as repair & paint the water damaged window sill.

Joshua C: Ordered soy sauce chicken with rice, red curry, pho chin and HK duck noodles, and spring roll for $70. The not-so-good: the chicken is dry, the sauce is a far cry from what you’d find in Hong Kong or a Southeast Asian place; the duck noodles were stuck together in a giant unappetizing blob; the pho had very dry beef and mild flavor. The good: the red curry was decent, and the duck noodle soup was quite good.

April Hammet: Staying around the corner at the Hyatt. Dishes were tasty, weren't quite as abundant as pictured. Menu was easy to follow. Wine and beer were more reasonable than the neighboring restaurants.

Jennifer C: Had lunch here and it was amazing! We ordered shrimp spring rolls, green chicken curry, and pho tai. It all had great flavor and the portions were big! We also ordered hot tea - so good! If we were residents of DC we would be here at least once a week. Yum!!

chris mason: I rarely feel compelled to leave a review, but after having lunch at Noodles on 11 on a Saturday, I did feel the need to share my experience. The service was fantastic and the food was even better. We were so pleased with our experience that we came back the same weekend and the server even recognized us. My biggest regret is that we aren’t local to DC so we can’t become regulars for this location.

Jinji Pang: Definitely a good restaurant! Had Suki twice and all tasted good! I will come more!

Kelly Tu: Perfect. Meat size is a little bit small. pho tastes mild. But overall it’s good.

Shu Wen: I ordered wonton and there are literally only six wontons inside. For 15.95 bucks this is by far the most expensive wonton I have ever had in my life. And the waitress confirmed this is what they provide. And the wontons are small as well. Look at the picture yourself.

Bao Tran (Bao): The place was nice and clean. The service was great. I ordered a bowl of chicken pho and Thai tea. The soup was well seasoned but the pho flavor was not quite there yet. The Thai tea was a bit light but tasted good, not too sweet. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Amber B.: The restaurant was clean and pretty busy. The Pho Ga (Chicken Pho) was a smaller portion but pretty good. We would have liked more add-ins (bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime wedges and jalapeños) but the waitress didn’t come back until we we’re almost finished eating. I would go back next time I’m in town.

Full Yum Carry Out: what do users think?

Steven T: Been here a few times, I get chicken with mumbo, the sauce is top tier in my opinion, it’s not that sweet and sour/ Polynesian fake out a lot of carry outs use now. Rice can be hit or miss at times. The area is kind of sketchy, and you may get harassed eventually by the homeless, most of them out there will leave you alone but it’s a matter of time if you look like you don’t belong there. I feel bad for the lady because she is very nice, and puts up with a whole lot. A lady recently got shot to death outside in broad day about a month ago. So go at your own risk

HenDog Wilson: Ive been coming to this spot for over 10years And its been good to me that shrimp Egg Foo yung gets me Everytime. I had went back for those wings i grew up on with that beautiful mumbo sauce.

theLAB by Artists of Color: Full Yum use to be the SPOT!! I’ve been going here since high school in 2010. This place is disgusting NOW. I went there to get food and it was dry. The owner was really rude when I told him that the white rice was hard and that their wasn’t any sauce on my shrimp and broccoli. My chicken was dry with no seasoning plus it was old. Nothing here is fresh anymore

Shimoy Morrison: Went there food was fast BUT FOOD WAS TRASH -sorry not sorry I got sick after the first 2 bites Sent me straight to the bathroom I ordered steak and cheese eggrolls Sweet tea and iced tea Sesame chicken French fries Money went down the drain 👎🏿

MW 7: The food used to be so good at Full Yum. Now I feel it is the worst. I was so hungry after not eating all day. I ordered t Spring Rolls and shrimp fried rice. . . Omg! The shrimp were fresh. However they obviously used some very stale old white rice to make the fried rice. Some of the rice bits were hard and there was something bitter tasting in the food. I don't know if it was burnt onion or what. It was just gross, scary, and disappointing. The Spring roll was straight mush. These restaurants use to know how to cook and prepare these simple tasty dishes. I was better off making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich instead of spending a fine on this horrible meal.

Angry Dwarf: Ordered here while visiting the DC area and was not disappointed. Fast and friendly service.

Ralph McLean: Nice people. Reasonable prices. Fast service.

Christian Dutilh: great lunch special, awesome prices, fresh sauces. my general tso's actually had real pieces of ginger in it!

L Porter: I heard about Full Yum on some "best of DC dives" list or something like that. It's really good. This is going to be my new go-to. I got egg rolls and hunan shrimp with veg. So yum.

Matthew Curtis: Very cheap, but the poultry dishes are 40% meat, tops. Also the Hunan and Szechuan chicken were fairly bland (but again, cheap!) Solid neighborhood joint.

Rae’ Mo: A waste of money! The portions are not consistent. It's better to order in the daytime. At night entrees are smaller, it's like the cook is ready to go home. I order the same two vegetarian meatless entrees. The Vegetarian chicken with mixed vegetables and vegetarian beef Szechuan. There was barely any veggies in one dish. The other dish had a little bit of beef. I called to let them know my issues with the food. I was told this is how the dish is normally made. How hard is it to Cook a side of veggies? I will never patronize this business again.

Christopher and Heather Cole: This is our favorite delivery food. The food is amazing and has good flavor. We always get the orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken and the steamed dumplings. The portions are huge so we are able to get two meals out of it. The service is fast and the staff are always friendly.

Julia Hurley: I try to patronize the places in my neighborhood. Normally we order take out but the ONE time we order delivery via Grub Hub they’re late, tell me the driver is on his way and then 45 mins later lie and say they never received it. I’m furious at the lying more than anything. Just be straight with me. It’s absolutely absurd to lie. You’ve lost very loyal business for your lies and rudeness.

Erik Schmidt: My order was placed through the website but never delivered. I called 1/2 hour after the end of the delivery window it was “out for delivery”. When I called 1 hour after the delivery window my order was “never received” I stayed on the line since I’d been charged for the order already and somehow they were able to refund the order that they’d supposedly never received. An hour and a half after placing my order I had no food and had been repeatedly lied to.

J Tonks: It's food, it's cheap. Mostly ok. If your looking for authentic Chinese, don't bother, looking for something resembling Chinese food, still no go, slightly better then pre chewed frozen Chinese microwave dinner. If you have options, skip it, you will fair much better at 7 eleven across the street.

Ino Okoawo: Too bad 0 stars is not an option. Restaurant canceled order and did not inform me. The owner yelled at me for a complaint from 6 months ago when they delivered food and the crab Rangoon and dumplings were sour. Since then I have ordered the food again but now they won't deliver to me unless I pay cash. I'm never ordering from them again!

Jae Jae: The food is good. However, I ordered extra shrimp with my dish, was charged for it. No extra shrimp.

BobbY Butler III: AWESOME!!! Neighborhood carryout that gets it right.....everything is made EXACTLY how you ask!

Alexandra Wisbiski: One of my Brookland favorites, this place is delicious, quick, and filling! Portions are nice sizes, the food is always ready in 20 minutes or less, and prices are good! We always have leftovers for the next day. I love ordering from here!

Safia Johnson: Food was good but service around 11AM 1PM is horrible and the man that answer phone is very rude!!!

Joy Luck House: what do users think?

C F: Very delicious!! We ordered the egg tart, sesame ball, and tried a moon cake. All were so fresh and good!! We will order all again and you cannot go wrong with the bakery items. Our favorite was the sesame ball with red bean. It was the best we ever had. Usually we go to Falls Church for these bakery food items but not anymore. We did not get a chance to try dinner but we will next time.

Phillip Eddy: Great Food! Really Hot Temperature's n Delicious. Plenty Of Food Might Have Take Rest Of Your Order Home.Kind Sweetheart's Friendly Employees n Employers. Please Support This Small Business By Going Inside n Ordering Their Wonderful Food. You Really Don't Know What Your Missing Out Here At This Small Restaurant!

Zachary Reshovsky: I don't usually give 5 star reviews. Really great experience here! I ordered one large take out once. I would instantaneously order again! Each dish was authentic (I lived in China for 5 years and was fortunate enough to sample restaurants across the country).

John Tully: Tried Joy Luck House for the first time tonight, its very good. Had a red bean moon cake, general tso chicken, beef chow fun, spring rolls, vegetable fried rice, and egg drop soup. Everything was delicious and fresh. Fast service too. Fair prices and good portions. We'll definitely go back.

Liony Ngalusi: It's not joy at all, the sesame ball is the only best thing between our orders. The congee was too liquid, and the worst part was i saw the guest before us was being served by ceramic bowl when they order the same congee, but we got small plastic bowls like serving to go. Very disappointed and not recommended at all.

tamela roberts: If you are a tourist and looking for somewhere to eat in Chinatown, skip this place. There was definitely meat in the veggie dumplings and their "lobster sauce" is not lobster sauce. It's more like egg drop soup. Look at the pictures. Does that look like lobster sauce to you?

Jane L: Great for takeout which is perfect these days! I ordered dumplings and mooncakes and loved both! I used to walk by this place all the time before working from home but never stopped in. I had read reviews about unfriendly servers, so just never felt compelled to visit. Well, I would not hesitate to order for pickup or delivery. In fact when I stopped in there were a lot of drivers picking up their orders so seems like this is the way to go!

Teo Pinillo: Good place to eat, if your a tourist looking for a good, hot, affordable lunch after all day walking, this is a excellent place. Is very close to the metro station.

Vivian Westwood: I do however love a ready to order dim sum menu. I had a bbq pork bun that was ready to go. I came around 8 pm so I wasn’t expecting a fresh hot pork bun but I got what I wanted and it had the sweetness of the bun and the meat was cook properly. I also had a red bean moon cake which was delicious!

Bethsabe Alvarez: Usually when I give a good review is because the main purpose of the business is accomplished. Food: -Fried Rice great taste, fresh vegetables, it was really good. -Orange Chicken: Great flavor, little hot not too spicy, well done. -Egg Roll: Crispy outside, juicy inside. My first time trying, great experience. Place: - I think the owner should improve the way it looks. Service: -Regular. (not bad - not great)

Mandarin Carry-Out: what do users think?

Vanessa Guerra: Polite service and big serving sizes. But the wonton soup had no veggies and the wontons were mainly thick pasta. The teriyaki chicken was delicious and a good deal

Kelsi Genday: My roommate and I love this place. The Singapore noodles are great and the dragon Phoenix dish is the best.

Sherice Bryant: Will never order from this place again!! Eggs rolls were bland and I've never had sticky shrimp fried rice before. I hate to waste food but this was just horrible!! Oh and they charge a delivery fee that's not mentioned on their menu.

Linda Whitfield: They have the best food just bad customer service

Beautiful Aries: I called with a question about the food there was a man that answered and kept yelling call Uber call Uber and hung up I called back again to let him know that the question was for him not Uber he kept telling Uber each time and hung up ! I went on to order shrimp Hunan style tasting just like shrimp broccoli with vegetables not a different taste at all however it was good I also ordered a wonton soup had absolutely no taste as all

Brighteyed Regal: I ordered a shrimp basket and onions from this carryout and after waiting almost 2 hrs for my order. I received cold shrimp and onion rings. I usually get full off my sides first so I ate a few cold onions but gave up on that. I proceeded to eat the fried shrimp. It had a weird after taste, but I figured maybe its because it's not hot. After eating 2 I pulled off the batter and smelled the shrimp...it smelled like pneumonia. It was SPOILED! When I called asking for my money back a woman asked me if I ate the onions ring because if so they can't give me all my money back. I was in disbelief, I just told you that you gave me fried spoiled shrimp and you ask me if I ate the onion rings that laid on top of the spoiled fried shrimp. To sum it up I waited 4 hrs for the delivery guy to pick up the food and return my money. I will be reporting this carryout to the better business bureau and the health department Monday morning.

Douglas Hamann: Great take out. The bullet proof counter hardens back to a bygone age. Also heard two squirrel scampering above the false ceiling.

Chenita Jasmine Amey (Nita): The best food. Building looks rough but food is excellent well seasoned and you can tell they clean their shrimp.

Phillip Wright: I used to love Mandarin carry out and I used to recommend this carryout to all my friends before the pandemic but now I have a change of heart for the simple fact after they re open the customer service is completely terrible and the guy who answered the phone is completely rude and has a very bad attitude and will hang up the phone if you ask him to repeat the order. Before he hangs up on you he says no food for you. Not going to support this location.

A. Maisto: Plenty of carry-outs have amazing Chinese food. This one not so much. Food took 45 min for crab rangoon, garlic broccoli, and veg lo mein. Crab rangoons were more pastry than anything, and the sauce was too sweet. Veg lo mein had a weird taste to it. Garlic broccoli gave the option of mild, medium, or spicy. We chose spicy, but not only was it not spicy at all — it was more sweet than garlicky. I didn’t get sick from eating here, but since that’s a ridiculous standard for a restaurant, I don’t think I’ll come back.
