Toastique: what do users think?

Jennifer Trent: Fantastic location, service, and food. Very clean and easy to order. Our toast, bowl, and smoothie were all delicious. The OB &B on gluten free bread was fantastic! They use two slices to make it more equivalent to the other breads they use. Great place for healthy and delicious breakfast. Tables inside and outside.

Karina Kisselite: The toast were really good - filling, nice looking and tasty. The choice was also good. The juice tasted well. You have to order at the counter and they bring food also only to the counter, which didn’t make any sense since we were some of the few people there anyway and it was actually further for the waitress to walk to the counter than to us. It was also a bit dirty and I don’t get why they are using plastic cutlery. The place could have been amazing, but these little details ruin the experience.

Jay F: I was pleasantly surprised by the concept of this establishment. Never had I heard of gourmet toast until I was "today years old" lol. But, I will tell you that you NEED to try this place! The Smoked Salmon with its thinly sliced pieces, capers on sourdough bread was perfect (no cream cheese for me). No need to decide, try! They offer a few other toast types, juices, and smoothies.

RayAnthony Robles: AMAZING restaurant.... The Avocado Toast and OG Acai were incredible. Hit this place up if you visit the Wharf in DC (and if you're vegan)

Cory Sarrett: Came for a quick bite, and I was not disappointed! Toastique has a variety of toasts, smoothies, and smoothie bowls to choose from. While pricey, each toast is loaded and smoothie bowls are jam-packed. The food is delicious and the staff was quite helpful. Great spot for a healthy breakfast, brunch, or lunch!

Scott T: Located right off the bike path, just on the edge of where scooters will still work, we found this great place for breakfast. The sign doesn't say Toastique, but rather Gourmet Toast. In any case, we dropped in for a quick bite and enjoyed our meals. Mine was avocado toast, hers was a breakfast bowl and smoothy. Both came out fast, and both were very good. Mine was with gluten free bread (because mild wheat allergy) and was particularly filling. We left happy.

Alexander Houck: When I went, I told my wife, "This place is going to be wildly overpriced but delicious." I got what I was expecting. The prosciutto on my dish was amazing. Clearly they want the most picture worthy piece of toast they can make which is why the avocado on my wife's toast was basically haloed around the edge so you could see it under the toppings. This is a quintessential DC dining experience - very good food that is made for social media and QUITE expensive.
Response: Hi Alexander! I'm so glad you and your wife enjoyed your breakfast! We make everything in house using fresh and locally sourced ingredients and unfortuntely that doesn't come cheap for high quality ingredients. BUT you know what they say....you get what you pay for! Hopefully we will see you again soon (:

Laura Smothers-Chu: My first time there, and wow, I was impressed at the quality of food, and how healthy everything was! I was pleasantly surprised with the freshness of every item on my toast (protein and veggies)! (I got the Tuna Toast) My husband loved his Salmon Toast (he requested no cream cheese), and we both liked our smoothies (Purple Heart and Blue Majik). When serving us the food, I do wish the staff offered two pieces of toast as a foundation for all the toppings, instead of putting everything on one long piece of toast. Or they could cut the toast for customers before serving. The knife they provide you is pretty abysmal and awkward at cutting the bread, and then it becomes a mess with all the toppings. Try it, and you'll see what I mean. Also, just a heads up -- their smoothies aren't super sweet like Jamba Juice, which I appreciate. I also (as a lactose intolerant person) like that they offer almond milk in their smoothies vs dairy milk. That being said, I do wish they blended our smoothies better. Both of us still had frozen chunks of fruit in the bottom of our cups. Because these pieces weren't blended, the fruit flavors were missing from both our smoothies -- negatively affecting the balance of the drink and overall taste.

Walt Rich: This place is awesome. The salmon toast is excellent with the poached egg. They use fresh ingredients. Please try the overnight oats with almond butter. I do recommend this place. 👌

Graham Fox (MajorMajorx2): Delicious and tasty salad with fast service in a pretty little cuban restaurant. Order through computer, qr code, or server.

Farmers & Distillers: what do users think?

Marisa Ramon: This was a really cute place to have a both creative and comfy buffet brunch on the weekend. They had a wide range of breakfast and lunch options. Everything was cooked well, the areas were kept clean, and didn't seem to sit long. Their dessert buffet was delicious and cute. Guests were respectful and wore masks at the buffet. As busy as it was, it was a nice dining experience. The espresso machine was broken and $4 for plain coffee seems like too much however everything else was great. They serve brunch until technically 2pm however it's not a hard time as they still serve buffet a little after for the late comers. The $30 brunch buffet cost might be a little high if you are running low on time so I would suggest arriving early and making the most of the experience. Also, it's very popular so I recommend making a reservation as well.

Courtenay O'Connell: We were staying at Hampton across the street, and decided to try their happy hour at F&D. Prices were good. Staff was excellent & really hustling. We didn’t have to wait long for food and drink. The spicy pork riblets were just okay - not much meat. He really wanted the hot dog ($6) and tater tots ($4), but they didn’t have them. Huge disappointment. I enjoyed my shrimp spring roll & Margarita (wanted it sweeter, though). The Margarita packed a punch! Or I’m a lightweight. Or both! I would have tried the other Spring Rolls, but hubby wanted something more to eat, and nothing on the menu appealed to him. Oh, well. Can’t please everyone.
Response: We hope you all will return sometime to explore more of our great menu! -Tiffany

Corey: A bit high end but the prices reflect the quality. We stopped here for dinner Saturday the 18th around 730. Our server Justin was great providing suggestions for cocktails (made with their own liquor) and food. We ended up doing appetizers for dinner and drinking a few rounds of delicious cocktails favorites included the bread platter, the barrel aged old fashioned and the bourbon maple smash. After it was all over we wished we had ordered from their excellent dinner options and hope to come back and try more of their excellent food.
Response: Thank you so much for dining with us! Please come back soon! -Jessica

Bobbi DeAnda: Love this place! My husband and I went here for our anniversary and then again for his birthday! It’s definitely a treat. The half pound Louie is AMAZING! Drinks are pricey but tasty. The food is SOOOO good. Will definitely be back for special occasions!
Response: Thank you so much for the amazing review and celebrating your anniversary and your husbands birthday with us! We look forward to having you join us again! We can not wait to serve you! :) -Najjah

Weekend Warrior: Overall it was a positive experience. I thought the burger was good as was the tequila with egg whites. We reserved the outside area with the plastic around it and on the website it was $20 per person. It did come with the popcorn, but we DID NOT get the flights of whiskey which was promised on the website. I'm guessing the owner realized this because he gave us the desserts for free after we ordered them, but never mentioned the flights himself.

Simple Life Keekee: The restaurant overall decor is the BOMB, so clean and the workers are so informative and The drink I attempted to drink was their Strawberry and ginger Margarita (You have to love Ginger) overall the drink was good and I loved it. The crab and Artichoke dip was good wasn’t hot like in favor but was good. the burger was good as well need a little more seasoning however it was a 9/10 recommendation

Teresa Simmons: Incredible food and service. Interesting menu choices, very unique. Loved the cherry blossom dessert. The noodles in the cumin lamb dish were so good. Large variety of wonderful cocktails too!! Definitely get the dumplings appetizer, it is so good!
Response: Thank you so much, Teresa! You named all of our favorites too! :) -Kerry

Harry Irvine: Had brunch on a Saturday around noon, place was packed. Gotta make reservations ahead of time if you don't wanna wait 30 minutes. The brunch buffet was great, especially when the food came out fresh. Some dishes were better than others, but its a buffet so just get what you like. Value is okay, drinks is where they'll get you. One and done epitomizes this place!
Response: Thank you, Harry! We hope you will return soon for another great brunch! -Tiffany

Arn Heggers: Service has always been stellar, no question. The food was good, but for the price point, there is a higher expectation. The bread on my Reuben was dry and the meat was slightly overcooked, giving it a very chewy texture. Fries were cooked perfectly. Just the right amount of saltiness. Overall, it was a good diner experience.

M Lopez: This restaurant was highly recommended by friends, and I made sure to make reservations in advance. Was our 1st stop in DC, unfortunately it was a huge disappointment for us. Dinner started well, we were seated fast, ordered a drink, and bread basket which arrived fairly quickly, but after that, our food took more than 30 minutes, waitress never acknowledged us again and when the food finally came, she only said that the kitchen was busy, nothing more. Menu stated the pasta was homemade, not impressed. Fried green tomatoes were awful and their signature dish, fried chicken with mac and cheese was ok, Bojangles is better and much less expensive, lol. The only good thing was the drink and the corn bread.
Response: Oh no! I am so sorry we failed to impress this time. I know our team can do better and the dishes you mentioned- are so good! I would love to have you come back so that we can turn this around. Please email me at Hospitality@FRG.farm with a copy of your review, date dined, and location. -Kerry

Founding Farmers DC: what do users think?

Erica Anstey: We had a fabulous experience here. It's a very fun atmosphere and the food was delicious. I had the crazy corn chicken salad and it might be my most favorite salad ever. My husband had the southwest chicken salad and my daughter had the chicken and waffles. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Our waitress, Camilla, was fantastic and has a great personality. Everyone working there seemed like they were having a good time.
Response: Thank you so much for your review, Erica! I am glad that you and your family enjoyed their dining experience. Please dine with us again! -Xenia

Tyler Davis: Quality food and drinks! Stopped by while out and about visiting DC with the family. Short walk from several metro stations. Reserved a table during lunchtime the morning we went and was seated minutes after we showed up. Staff was attentive and my drink was never empty. Reasonable prices for the quality food you get considering the location and love the bar menu. Was recommended this place by several people and it was quickly apparent why. Will definitely visit again next time we are in DC!
Response: Awesome! Thank you so much! -Jessica

Konstantinos Rizakos: We were seated promptly at our reservation time. The hosts and servers were polite and effective, albeit the food and drinks took a while to come out. Everything was very very tasty. The meat in particular. Try the prime rib, and the pork chops - but you may want to ask that they cook less than you usually like because ours were slightly over cooked.
Response: Thank you so much for the glowing review! Please come back soon! -Jessica

Kimberly Giang: Omg so yummy. Visited DC for the first time and found this restaurant for breakfast. It definitely did not disappoint! It was so yummy we came back the next morning. We reserved a table online and good thing we did because it gets crowded fast. Our table was ready when we arrived and all of the staff was very friendly. Food came out fast. The French toast was so unique and tasted amazing. I loved the Eggs Benedict and how crispy the hash browns were! Definitely would come back!
Response: Thank you so much for the glowing review!! So glad you enjoyed your first dining experience with us! We look forward to seeing you again soon! -Jessica

Francess Kargbo: I've gone to Founding Farmers for brunch previously, but I'm glad to say I prefer their supper menu. The chicken was well seasoned and juicy. The green beans were fresh, and I substituted mashed potatoes for the honey scotch carrots as the side. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I definitely suggest this restaurant as a dinner option; you will like it.

WooDo Jedi: Good service! Our server was outstanding. (Front hostess and host didn’t make us feel welcome though - we felt like cattle coming through the door). Our orders came our timely and had that flavor profile that spoke of home. We would definitely return here!
Response: Though the welcome was not warm, we are thrilled you enjoyed the meal and service! We look forward to your next visit and giving you a great experience from start to finish! -Tiffany

Peter Shaw: Great food and coffee, albeit slightly over priced. The beignets were very very good. Personally don't think the egg scramble was worth ordering. Service was good but the food came out rather slowly. Waited a good 45 min for food to come out.
Response: Hi, Peter. I am very sorry you waited so long for your breakfast order. We appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing you again! :) -Kerry

Frankie Painter: This is our 3rd time here and WOW, everything we’ve ever ordered has been amazing! We always start with the honey cornbread and this time I got Scallops Meunière with butternut squash risotto and my husband got catfish with grits and green beans. My scallops were cooked to perfection - they cut like butter. The atmosphere here is warm and cozy but lively, although there were way less people this time because of social distancing restrictions. Our waiter was super! We had to show an ID and proof of vaccination. Highly, highly recommend!!
Response: Thank you so much for the amazing review, Frankie! We are so thrilled to read that you and your husband enjoyed your visit with us! We aim to give you a great experience on your 4th visit also! Thank you so much for dining with us! -Najjah :)

Ying Liang: Friend took me here for dinner when I visited DC. We went on a late weekday evening. Definitely call for reservations ahead of time because it was incredibly crowded. I’m not sure how long we would’ve had to wait if we didn’t plan for that. Our waitress was very nice, food took a while, probably because it was so busy! So plan some time to catch up and relax. It was sort of dark and loud but the restaurant still had nice ambiance. I got the chicken and waffles… and oh my goodness, it was the best fried chicken and the best waffles I’ve ever had. So freaking good. The green beans were crunchy/fresh and the mac and cheese was decent. Not sure what sauce it came with but I was enjoying it! I would probably try to get here for early brunch next time instead. Definitely recommend you stop by if you get the chance.
Response: Thank you so much for the glowing review. Please come back soon! -Jessica

Goose Prevot: Stumbled upon this restaurant while walking over towards the Lincoln Memorial. The atmosphere was awesome. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I liked that the craft cocktail spirits were distilled by the restaurant. We were able to purchase a bottle to take home as well. The food was very tasty. It is a definite try if you are around the area.
Response: Awesome! I'm so glad you enjoyed everything. Please come back soon!- Amber

Firefly: what do users think?

Sadhana G: Went to this beautiful place for brunch on a Sunday. The food was a whole new level of excitement! Presentation and quality of the food and the good ambience set the right tone for the weekend. But the only setback was the price. We had an Egg frittata, chicken and waffles and Egg Benedict-crab ( the chef special) and it cost us 70$. A great place to grab finger food in a cute setting !

Garner Marshall: Excellent breakfast spot. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking is pretty scarce around the area. Staff is excellent. Good is delicious. Music is diverse. Location is convenient. This is going to be one of my new favorite breakfast spots.

Steven Power: Wonderful location and the food is pretty good. The prices are very high. Brunch for two with no drinks besides one cup of black coffee was $50 for one order of French Toast, one Avocado Toast, and a side of fruit. The service was good overall, but one small thing annoyed me somewhat. We were there for Saturday brunch so I ordered a cup of black coffee right when the waitress first came over. The coffee, which they charged $5 for, finally came a minute before our food. I drank it quickly, thinking that for $5 for a tiny cup, a refill would be in order. No such luck. I don't know if asking for a refill would have taken another 20 minutes and cost another $5, but at that point in the meal, I didn't bother. Overall, a solid 5-stars. The location and ambiance outside are really great.

Mariia Sarlayan: Wonderful food, amazing service, beautiful interior, pleasant vibe. A bit pricey for brunch but worth it. I wish more tables outside had umbrellas for shades but even then the experience was memorable.
Response: Mariia, We are definitely wowwed by your amazing review and grateful for your comments. I hope we'll see you again soon, for another memorable experience! Please be safe and well until then. Sincerely, Anastasiia Firefly General Manager

Kim S: The food, service, and ambiance were excellent! My only disappointment was that they weren't open for dinner Sundays because we were looking forward to going back.

Linden Yee: Solid brunch, overall recommend. The eggs on the benedict were pretty undercooked but the flavors were good, and the chicken and waffles were really well seasoned. Service was pretty slow, and the staff seemed to be up against a lot. While the waiter was great, they appeared to be the only one working the entire restaurant.

Khadija Khan: The restaurant has changed a lot since the last time I was here! Really friendly staff and nice ambiance! My favorite was the peanut butter and jelly French toast with the jalapeño honey! It’s an Interesting combo but I really liked it. Our server recommended a really yummy mocktail! The food was a little pricey so I’m not sure if I’ll be visiting again any time soon, but the dishes were innovative and delicious.
Response: Khadija, Thank you for the great review and the photos you shared from your recent visit at Firefly. Love to hear the our food and service left a great impression. I do hope you'll come abck again soon. Warmest Regards, Anastasiia, General Manager, Firefly

idcwhatcoloritis: This had to be an off night cause the place was interesting. The old arcade games were cool and our waitress did her best with a terrible situation. Two of our three meals were barely warm at best and cold at worst. The other was basically frozen salmon from a grocery store on what looked like Couscous but was actually rice some how. They nuked our food in the microwave and brought it back out. The vegan burger both smelled and tasted like fish. Completely inedible. All in all, the food was terrible all around. The only plus to this experience was the owner who took both meals off our bill and bought us a round of shots to make up for it after there POS system went down. We saw at least 10 plates go back to the kitchen while we were there. I don’t think this is normal cause most of the people there seemed like regulars and were super confused by there food. I think it was an off night but I don’t think any of my group will be returning.
Response: Greetings, Thank you for your feedback I just would like to double check, is this review for Firefly Restaurant located at 1310 New Hampshire Ave NW Washington DC. We don’t have old arcade games at our restaurant. Thank you Anastasiia Hehelska Restaurant GM

Lisa Mayberry: Cute little place for brunch out of the way in a hotel down New Hampshire Street. Outside patio seating is nice for a cool day with the umbrella up.
Response: Lisa, Thank you for your recent visit to Firefly and the excellent review. We could not agree more, the Terrace is a great place to relax, people watch and enjoy one (or two) of our amazing cocktails. Please come back soon! Sincerely, Anastasiia Firefly General Manager

S P: Everything about this restaurant Amazing and I mean everything! I went once and I can't stop going back I tell everyone to go best chicken and waffles I have ever had! Drink and beautiful and delicious

Rise Bakery: what do users think?

Dumdi B.: I’m always on the hunt for good treats that are both gluten and dairy free. I was so happy to find Rise Bakery! My favorite was the vegan double chocolate cupcake and the vegan cookies and cream cupcake. Both went really well with unsweetened almond milk. Such a nice treat for date night. Thank you for the existence of this place!
Response: Thanks so much for your review! Glad to hear you enjoyed the dairy-free cupcakes! We focused on adding some extra dairy-free/vegan items to the 2022 winter and spring menus :)

Sadie Vogt: Absolutely delicious! In town for work so I had to stop here and try their gluten free options! Recommend to every gluten free person in DC who has a sweet tooth!!

Peregrine Sky: Cute, unfortunately no dine in at this time, progressive bakery. Lots of options for all kinds of dietary restrictions, soy, nut, dairy and all gluten free. 18th Street sandwich was amazing! These are certainly the best gluten free pastries I’ve ever had but they are still not delicious like normal pastries!

JT Mitchell: Both the Oreo cupcake and the apple fritter were pretty good. Both are also vegan. I’d say I like the fritter better. Had some good bite to it. The cupcake was tasty. Pretty solid.

Lauren Canaday: Loved my grilled cheese and vanilla cupcake 😋 gluten free done right! (I didn't get the ice cream or iced tea there - that's just the photo I took.) I used doordash to get delivery on a busy day of conferences.

Tee Cole: Recently gone gluten-free so I'm in search of bakeries that specialize in that option. Very friendly staff. The brioche bread was the best! Unfortunately the cupcakes were too dry for my taste and the strawberry pastry didn't taste like strawberries. We drove from NW Baltimore just to try it out. Can't say I'll take that 45 min drive again.

Anna L: Very very happy with my experience at rise. Got the 18th street sandwich - delicious bread with arugula, herbed Mayo, bacon, and tomato. I also got a cherry turnover that was amazing. Yet to try the cheddar jalapeño loaf and the strawberry cheesecake but they look great. Can’t wait to come back another time.
Response: So happy to hear you enjoyed everything, Anna. Hopefully we will see you soon

Danielle Somers: Hands down best GF bakery in the DMV. All of their baked goods are incredible and their customer service is excellent. We had our wedding cake made there and everyone sung their praises. Worth the trip!

Bad Birdi: Was traveling through DC and came upon this gem. I have celiac disease and I was literally blown away by the food here. The biscuits were the best thing I've eaten in a long time. I ended up spending oodles of dollars on baked goods and I'm so very happy I did!

LP: Cute little gluten free shop with additional egg nut and soy free options. First gluten free spot I’ve tried that is moist and flavorful. Yum! I got the raspberry danish.

DC Harvest: what do users think?

John Scheub: Fantastic dining experience. We Arrived in the rain during vegan week and had a little trepidation. But we were immediately seated in a beautiful window seat and had the best locally sourced food you can imagine. I had the asparagus Po boy and my wife had the mushroom bucatini. They were truly delightful and the service was wonderful. Even the wine was locally sourced from Maryland and it was very nice. Overall a thoughtful presentation with fabulously fresh food.
Response: John, thanks for coming by for our Vegan Week Menu. So glad you enjoyed your food. Please remember that we always have many vegan items for both brunch & dinner all the time. Hope to see you again soon. -Arthur Ringel, Chef/Proprietor

Bobbi DeAnda: Food was pretty good but definitely not worth the price. The only thing I didn’t like was the weird waffle appetizer - warm waffle with cold mushrooms and cheese??? Very strange choice. Vibe of restaurant in general was super pretentious - but lacking the quality to even be so pretentious - for those prices I’d expect a much fancier inside and amenities. You have to put down a deposit to make a reservation - even when there’s no one there, lol. We had to book so far in advanced but it was empty!!! Also, they make you wear a mask at the table when you’re not actively eating, unlike most restaurants that let you take it off at the table. Not an enjoyable dining experience overall - although the service was good. Won’t go back.
Response: Courtney, we're sorry you didn't enjoy your visit. However, we have these rules in place so our guests and employees can feel safe here. If there's anything we can do for you in the future, please let us know. -Jared Ringel, General Manager

Jennifer Schaffer: So it's taken me a few tries to write this review. Was the food good? Yes. Were the waitstaff attentive? Yes and very accommodating to my gluten allergy. So what were the negatives? Honestly I felt the food concept was just trying too hard. More modern than farm-to-table, if you get what I'm saying. Overall, just not for me, but nothing in particular was wrong. I'd still recommend this to my more modern-food loving friends!
Response: Jennifer, thanks for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed your food and service. Hope to see you again soon. -Arthur Ringel, Chef/Proprietor

Sheneil Black: Would not go back, and can't recommend from my experience. My experience started with a curt phone ordering, realizing they had my partner tip on top of gratuity, having them forget items from my order, realizing they didn't take my order properly to cutting into uncooked pork and the worst tasting pumpkin cheesecake. My 1 star is for the chicken which was good and some potatoes though not crispy as described. Needless to say this experience was not worth it's value> $100
Response: Sheneil, we're sorry you didn't have the best experience. We dropped the ball getting your order wrong. If there's anything we can do to welcome you back, please let us know. -Arthur Ringel, Chef/Proprietor

Shankar Kulumani: Great location for a meal. Staff is high quality and very friendly and responsible. Food is amazing and the care taken is obvious. Will visit again. The cheese fritters are great. Vast majority of menu of gluten free which is great.
Response: Thanks for your kind words about our place! Glad you enjoyed our cheese fritters too. See you again soon! -Jared Ringel, General Manager

Laly Franka: I wish they were more restaurants in the city that encourages locally grown ingredients. Every ingredients in highly noticeable, the menu is often change to ensure freshness and only best quality ingredients are served.
Response: Laly, thanks for coming by. So glad you enjoyed our spot. Hope to see you again soon. -Jared Ringel, General Manager

LaTasha Young: I’ve been here twice and the food is great. They are a little aggressive with the vaccine cards though. The guy at the door asked for ours and as I was showing him my card he got an attitude while I was getting out my ID to do the match. It seems he was being preemptively rude for no reason when were already complying. Just because one person gives you an attitude doesn’t give you the right to be rude to other patrons right off the bat. Our waitress was really nice and helpful.
Response: LaTasha, we take protocols seriously at our establishment. We want to make sure our staff members and guests are protected. If there's anything we can do for you in the future, please let us know. -Arthur Ringel, Chef/Proprietor

Lillian Oates: Made a reservation an hour in advance and had to pay $15. Realized how expensive the food was and immediately called to try to cancel. It’s one thing to say it’s against the policy, despite how silly that seems when I had just booked it within minutes ago, but it’s another to be extremely rude about it. They very clearly are not happy and were getting their frustrations out at me and I’m sure they do that to others. I was not being argumentative or even saying much but the way they talked to me made me very uncomfortable and I’d rather pay $15 to never go there despite how upsetting that is on principle. I understand times are tough especially for the service industry, but it doesn’t excuse being so over-the-top rude for no reason.
Response: Lillian, we're sorry this was your experience. However, we charge for a reservation to encourage parties to show up & you agreed to our cancelation policy when you completed the reservation. The deposit charge barley covers the lose in sales by not being able to rebook the table that was held for you. As for the person you spoke with, we'll be sure to address this with our staff. If there's anything we can do to welcome you to our restaurant, please let us know. -Arthur Ringel, Chef/Proprietor

Chris Brundrett: Wow this place was killer! We even snagged a glass of Texas wine! They were so accommodating for our family. Many thanks and we will be back. Food was incredible.

Equinox Restaurant: what do users think?

Weekend Warrior: Overall it was a great dining experience. The restaurant wasn't overly loud and it had an intimate vibe. We felt secluded enough in our table. The service was a bit slow to start, we waited over 20 min just to get our drink orders in. But then it picked up and we got our 5 course sampler and it was great. Some of the best food I've had.

Joshua Wiley: Went here for one of my many birthday dinners. As a new vegetarian this place definitely had a menu with me in mind. I was stuffed when I left. We had the menu with five courses and enjoyed every single one of them. Amazing. Would definitely go again, don’t know the price because i didn’t pay. 😇

Archana Raju: This place has been on my must try restaurants list forever, and finally made it on my birthday. We tried the five course meal. While each dish was carefully thought through and well presented, I think the beet salad didn’t really work (it was bitter) and grilled eggplant was a bit bland. Though I don’t typically enjoy mushrooms as much, I was blown by the Hen of mushrooms dish, and absolute winner. Overall, I would recommend this place!

Sunny Sanghani: Enjoyed the vegan brunch menu; lots of food and all tasted great.

Angela Su: We came for restaurant week and it was a great deal! Loved the plant based options. We had to wait 15 min for our table after we arrived on time for our reservation but it was worth it once we were seated. The mushroom dish was delicious and the portions for all courses were huge. Definitely ended the meal full and satisfied.

Henry Jones: A friend of my family told me ages ago to eat sometime at Equinox. I finally did this evening and am so glad. I had the truffled macaroni and cheese to begin, which was served in a mini cast iron vessel and tasted of cheese and herbs in a way that I could never achieve at home. Then I had the fennel-spiced Mediterranean turbot filet. The staff were very proud of the turbot—one saw it as he walked past and said, “oh you ordered the turbot,” with a big smile. If I were on the staff of a place that served food like this, I would be very proud, too. The turbot was meaty, slightly flaky, and golden on top. It was served on a bed of spinach, a carrot, roasted heart of palm, and braised endive, and there was an orange sauce. It was garnished with fried rings which I think were potatoes and there were red berries, too. I was there for an early dinner, having planned for a long afternoon at the National Gallery followed by early dinner before the final leg of a train trip from NYC to Virginia. The staff made sure the timing was right for me to get to the train and that I knew how to get to Union Station. What thoughtful people and exquisite food. I can hardly wait to eat at Equinox again.

Marlon Young: Vegan (plant-based) food isn't difficult to find in DC. However, it is a daunting to task to have an enjoyable fine dining experience as a vegan. Equinox delivered! The plant-based dish options weren't insulting, glorified salads. The flavor profiles of my selections were indicators of the THOUGHTFULNESS Chef Todd puts into ALL of his creations. The price point wasn't a concern because I went expecting to spend around $85-$100 per person. I spent that and got every penny worth in service, ambiance, and especially FOOD. It was the ideal dinner to wrap up a date night full of miniature golf and art museums. We will be back to try the Vegan Brunch, suggested to us by the bartender (who doubled as our phenomenal server).

Celal Gulluoglu: Fine dining? Please first repair the failing of the bathroom. Service was below average. They were carrying the beverage with their bare hands and holding the soup bowls on top of the bowls. Not even under it. Automatically added gratuity which is not written at anywhere. Full price charge for the kids under 10 years old? Tasting brunch menu was definitely not worth the price. Desserts were horrible. They were literally sliced protein bar, store bought mini cupcakes and coconut bites and they call it Brandi’s assorted desserts. Felt like scammed. Will never return 👎

The Girls: The zero-waste concept sounds great but didn’t see it happening within the menu. The apps and first courses were better than the main dishes. The dust devil drink is fab. Oddly, many of the plants were plastic. And the chairs stored in the ladies’ room makes it NOT wheelchair accessible. The kind and attentive servers were grand.

Meghan Joyce: Mother's day brunch was delicious. Vegan food with full flavor and fresh ingredients. Service was attentive and friendly. They were able to accommodate a nut allergy with no problem. We even got a photo with Chef Todd. Will definitely return!

Busboys and Poets: what do users think?

Tina Marbury: My group is visiting from Ohio for a conference. The restaurant is pleasingly eclectic in its decor. The atmosphere was quaint. The server was pleasant and smile with authenticity as she assisted the three of us. The food was served hot and was pleasing plated. The taste of the good was amazing. The seasoning of the catfish, greens and cheddar and jalapeño grits was perfect. I could eat here every day.

Valerie Mostyn: I absolutely loved it here! I loved how the staff were just having a good time and jamming out to music while working. The girl behind the bar was living her best life with the music. The whole place has a fantastic vibe and great food. We came for brunch but I'm sure dinner is just as great!

Beverlyn Salva: Boyfriend and I were looking for breakfast to eat and we choose to go here. Very unique atmosphere. Love how they incorporated the bookstore & dinning together. Although the service we got was not what we expected. We order our drinks then later ordered our entrées. We get our food and both of our food was lukewarm and my fries was COLD (didn’t eat it). In addition, our server never checked on how we are doing and gave us what we requested which was just sugar for our coffee. Manager was walking around doing table touches and we never got touched. Our server then asked “how was everything” after we put our plate aside and decided enough is enough. Maybe if we come back it’ll be different but being our FIRST time eating there, we won’t come back. So if you’re looking for good food with good service this won’t be it or maybe it’ll be different. Who knows.

c clark: This was a very cool spot. I really liked the environment and the had great music, classic hip-hop and r and b. Great service and great food. I will definitely be going back here next time I'm in DC

Matt K: We got the Smoked Dalmon Benedict and Sweet Potato Pancakes. Overall this was a great breakfast and was memorable. I wish I could do it slightly differently. I'd like to add a little bit of red onion and sea salt or everything bagel seasonings to the Benedict. Other than that, very nice.

Erika L Zamora: Loved this place! 1st time in DC and heard this was a great place to eat and shop for books. They were right! Staff was friendly and the energy was Perfect. I had the cheeseburger and some nachos- both were delicious. I tried the cauliflower bites and was pleasantly surprised! I asked our waitress what drink she recommended since I liked sweet drinks. She brought over a DC water and I ended up having 3. Bought some postcards, stickers, a jigsaw puzzle and a book. Would definitely visit again!

Abigail Morales: The ambience is what you'll visit this location for. An unassuming book store with inspiring quotes and art of historic figures. The food is okay for what I felt was overpriced breakfast/lunch. We asked for a fried chicken sandwich the online menu didn't mention it being spicy but it was. The Cobb salad chicken tasted and looked like chicken that is pre-prepared and just waiting to be thrown on the salad. I had the wild rice soup and it came out room temperature and was a little salty. The kids grilled cheese was great according to my daughter. Our server Eunice only stopped by to refill water and drop the check. I would've expected something a little friendlier from a place giving such warm bookstore cafe vibes.

Destinee Douglas: This was a really nice place ! As you wait too can check out their book store . Had so many different wonderful and colorful books. We sat at the bar so we wouldn’t have to wait . We had ebony as our waitress. She was very sweet . As you can see in the photos there are two pics of soup. Norge the same ( wild rice vegetable soup) but one is a cup and one is a bowl! If you get the bowl you’ll likely be full before you even get your entree. But the soup was delicious and flavorful ! I definitely recommend that. Then I ordered the shrimp and grits ! Absolutely delicious. & I love how they has asparagus in it . Never had shrimp and grits with that in it. The shrimp were big & it was a nice portion . My friend got the chicken and shrimp pasta . It was kind of spicy but good as well! We both ordered their orange Juice too and you definitely want to because it’s really fresh. It gets made right in front of your eyes with a machine they have at the bar . Literally squeezes the oranges 😆 My cousin ordered a burger . Didn’t get a chance to take a pic but it was good . Last but not least we topped it off with their desert . A banana pudding I think with ice cream. It was good 😩 we were stuffed ! Lol

Peter Schwarzenbach: Good spot for a cozy breakfast. Prices are a bit steeper than expected but friendly wait staff and prompt courteous attention was always offered. My eggs where a tad overcooked but by no means bad. Would recommend for a unique and tasty experience

Aditi Rajvanshi: This place has amazing fresh food available at an affordable price. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options as well! Would definitely recommend if you love flavorful breakfast.

Lupo Verde: what do users think?

Rae Huggins: What an amazing experience dining at Lupo Verde. Everything from the ambiance, hand crafted cocktails to our mouth watering meals. Our bartenders, wait staff and even the restaurant management were all very kind and personable. We felt so at home while dining at this establishment. So, much so that the Executive Chef came out just to take a photo with us. By far, one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in DC. Love this place. Highly recommend it!!

Danielle Perdue: The social brunch is such a great deal! For $35 pp you get an appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 side, and a bottle of sparkling wine to share. The food was delicious. I wish our server would have been able to explain the menu options a bit more. We chose a steak dish but had no idea it was actually a sandwich. When I asked the server about it he didn’t explain how the dish was presented. Luckily, it worked out and we loved it. I know the service industry is struggling to find staff, and that our server was doing the best he could with little support. This may be a wild idea but maybe his manager could’ve helped him versus walking around and not engaging with guests? Also, the young lady doing “wine service” needs to be taught the proper technique of opening sparkling wine. If not she might take an eye out. Other than that… I would dine here again.

Sarah Dewberry: Cannot rave about this place enough! The most authentic Italian food you'll ever have in the U.S. I'm so happy I found this place because the food is unbelievable. We ordered the bruschetta and gnocchi and it was good to the last bite. The wait staff was very friendly and our drinks were always refilled. We will definitely be back!

Dan Rodriguez: I like it here. Been a few times already, once for dinner and twice for brunch. Their fixed priced brunch is great. Flavors are fresh and pasta is amazing. Drinks are good too. Service is appropriate and prices are comparable to similar type of establishments if only slightly better.

Kentaro: Loved the atmosphere here, and the waiters were all very nice. We thought everything would be a small portion but they gave us much more than expected, maybe price was higher? Not sure about it but anyways the food was great especially the calamari and gnocchi with clams!

Alex L: A really cute place with good food! I ordered the clam gnocchi on the recommendation of the waiter, it was fantastic though a small portion. My husband got the Italian sausage and black truffle tagliatelle, it was slightly less flavorful but he liked it. The cocktails were great and the service was too! Plan to return soon!

Fernanda Lanzagorta: I had high expectations for this restaurant. The dishes were dirty, the bread was undercooked, the pasta was ok but the food took forever to arrive. Based on the prices of this restaurant you should get a better meal better service.

Michael Harrington: We came for dinner and the atmosphere was perfect. The restaurant wasn't too stuffy, but also provided a fun ambience. We started with a couple cocktails, and followed this with a bottle of Pinot Noir, all of which was delicious. For dinner, my girlfriend ordered the braised short rib with truffle risotto, which was spectacular. For myself, I ordered the smoke duck breast, which came with a parsnip puree, roasted beats, and foie gras. The duck was delicious, cooked to perfection, and with only a slight hint of smoke. For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu, and took the chef's recommendation for a "lobster." The lobster, which was really puff pastry in the shape of a lobster tail, filled with pastry cream, was amazing. I fully recommend dinner here.

Shamsher: This place has been on my list for a very very long time. I have been a hype man for Lupo Pizzeria. A place for some of the most delicious Neapolitan pizza in DC. It was about time that I tried Lupo Verde. I must start by saying this. MAN!!! Everything was really really out of this world delicious. Bruschetta for appetizer, served in the most unique way possible. Very refreshing and delicious. Ordered 2 different entrées. First was the Butternut Squash Ravioli and it was amazing. So much flavor and the feeling of freshly made ravioli was strong even though that might not be the case. Secondly the short rig entrée was cooked to perfection. Melting off the bone, over a bed of the creamiest mash potatoes. What a wonderful experience. 10/10 for the service. It was perfect. 10/10 for the food for me. Rookie score I know but some places deserve all the love. This is on of them.

Cynthia M: Really great food!! Loved the pastas and the Avocado Bruschettone too! The pastas’ texture and flavor were all on point. Would definitely go back when I’m in the mood for Italian!

Unconventional Diner: what do users think?

Zeyu Hu: Went to Unconventional Diner for both brunch and dinner and let me tell you they didn’t disappoint at all. Brunch: Got three different items to share for brunch, and each was unique in its own way but complimented each other so well. The shrimp and grits were perfect. The BBQ shrimp had an amazing smokey smell which really made it stand out. The biscuits were also amazing, nice and crispy and the house made sausage was great. The blueberry pancakes were the fluffiest I’ve ever had, a great sweet treat to end the meal. Dinner: Came back for dinner a week later and it blew me out of the water again. As the name suggests, the menu has a large variety and when the waiter tells you you can’t go wrong with anything, they ain’t lying. We got such a variety of food - from French to southern, Chinese stir fry to Cuban. It just all works so well. Bottom line: A must visit if you are in DC. The best wait staff and service. But remember to book ahead!

Claire Mizutani: Went out to dinner with my family and a friend from school. Great food! I really enjoyed the mezze and the Mac n cheese. Speedy service and great labeling on the menu for those with dietary restrictions. I wish that the outdoor seating area had heaters but now that the weather is getting warmer that may be less of an issue

Christopher Guarin: Was in town to check out the Cherry Blossom Festival. We made a point to stop in for some brunch before walking all over town. We were definitely not disappointed. Everything we tried was delicious! From the drinks, to the Everything Lox, and Chicken and Waffles....every bite was amazing. We will be back for more on our next trip!

Eric Lee: Got the cheeseburger and fried chicken. Both were phenomenal. Simple dishes but everything was cooked and seasoned so well. Price for these dishes were affordable. Great vibe as well, pretty large space. Will be back to try more!

Queen Melissa: Wonderful for family outing , a date and friends brunch. Everything was outstanding. The cleanliness was good. The customer service and server was really nice. My kids loved everything and they are usually picky eaters. This was my first time eating shrimps and grits all I can say it was amazing. Overall,we were a satisfied family and will be back again.

Ben Multak: Unconventional diner dishes but delicious flavors. Everything I’ve tried here has hit and the restaurant itself is a well oiled machine. Highly recommend if you find yourself in the area. Really enjoyed the Crab Fritters and Fried Chicken

Sirius Fidelity: This was one of my favorite food places on my trip. The place was a pretty good size, clean, and bright. There also appeared to be outside dining as well. I ordered the kid size portion of the Blueberry Lavender Pancakes as pictured, and the Shrimp and Grits. Nothing short of amazing. Prices were reasonable and the portion sizes good. I highly recommend this place.

Christal Young: I love a place that has vegan as well as non-vegan options. This place was so good, I came back two days in a row. Their kale nachos were just superb and their cauliflower salad with falafel was also delicious and filling. The colors and ambiance are also nicely done. There are several dining spaces, including indoor and outside seating, each with its own vibe.

ReCreate Artworks: I found this gem about a 20 minute walk north of the mall. I cannot recommend it enough. There was plenty of seats, the staff was quick and efficient, and the restaurant itself was stunning. It makes you feel luxurious without having the price tag that usually comes with it. It’s very affordable but the quality of food is beyond the price. I got a double shot of espresso and the Brussel Sprouts with Fried Egg. 10/10.

Chunhee Hong: We had buttermilk pancake, corned beef hash, cappuccino and rise & shine. All delicious! The customer service and server were really nice. Overall,we were satisfied and will be back again to try other menu!

Sweet Crimes Gluten-Free Bakery: what do users think?

Haleigh Eppler: This store front is cute and has a very trendy but cozy vibe inside. The service was great and everyone was very willing to answer our questions. All allergen information is clearly indicated on the menu to allow for easy ordering. We had the ham and cheese sandwich and a chili brownie. The ham and cheese sandwich was delicious with cheese on the bread and in the sandwich. The chili brownie wasn’t super spicy but had a good kick in the after taste. The vegan members of our party enjoyed pumpkin bread and a chocolate donut.
Response: Thanks so much, Haleigh! We're thrilled that you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon :).

Christiane West: We ordered a lemon sheet cake for my daughter’s confirmation and it was hands down the best gluten free cake we have had. And we have been gluten free for 10 years now and have tried many places in the DC metro area. Keri if very easy to work with and her shop has lots of fun options beyond the cakes!!
Response: Thanks so much, Christiane!! We’re so glad we could make Monika’s day special

Allison Nielsen: Normally, I wouldn’t gravitate towards a gluten free bakery, but we decided to get some Christmas cookies here and they were amazing! Really soft (my favorite type of cookie) and the service was so friendly here. The bakery is really small so there’s not a ton of room for sitting, its more of a grab and go situation. I am glad to see things are still going well and that people are loving this spot. I’d love to return for breakfast one day!
Response: Thanks so much, Allison. We really appreciate the feedback!

Austin Graff: Capitol Hill's first gluten-free bakery is here! Located on Pennsylvania Ave SE on the same block as the late Representative John Lewis' barber, Sweet Crimes is a small bakery with mighty products. Here's why you should visit: 1) Food: If you're not gluten intolerant, you may look down on gluten-free products, but don't with Sweet Crimes. They are among the best baked goods in the city and happen to be gluten-free. On opening day (November 22, 2021), I stopped in for an egg and cheese biscuit (I paid an extra $1 for ham), chocolate chip scone and a chocolate glazed donut. Each was flavorful and moist, especially the scone. I'm not a big fan of dry scones and this one had the perfect texture. So tasty! 2) Drinks: They have an impressive coffee list, including a s'more cocoa made with marshmallows, honey and graham crackers. My latte was well brewed and smooth. They also sell a variety of tea. 3) Space: It's small, but cozy. It's in a blue brick building with a mural painted inside. The window space has two small tables and a long bench filled with pillows. Behind the glass are their pastries and gluten-free cake mixes line the wall by the register. 4) Service: When I stopped by, two women were behind the counter. Both were genuinely friendly and proud of their work at the bakery. One told me she grew up just blocks from the bakery. 5) Story: This bakery is woman-owned. Keri is from Maryland and traveled the world with her family and in her career in international development. When she moved back to the area, she started baking gluten-free products and even picked up a few awards along the way. If you're into delicious baked goods and a hyper-local shop, stop by Sweet Crimes Bakery.
Response: Austin, thank you so much! I’m going to share what you’ve written with my staff without whom the magic couldn’t happen. We can’t wait to have you back for more treats.

Elliott Wooster: I had a really good cheese and egg biscuit, a latte and I couldn’t NOT get the donut. This place is amazing. All of the food I and my partner had was incredible and the coffee was brilliant too. But THE DONUTS. They were AMAZING. They sold out whilst I was sat here (10:30 on a Sunday) so make sure to get here early! The person at the counter said they’re still very new and figuring out how fast things will sell. Cannot recommend enough. This was all delicious.
Response: Elliott, thank you so much for the review and for supporting us!! Not only are we new, but I’m 40 weeks pregnant and my staff are working so hard to pull it all together as I’m forced to take a step back. They are my shining stars ✨

Kyle D: Amazing bakery with great food and great service! I came into the bakery this morning to get my hands on some of the sweet treats everyone is raving about and wow they did not miss. The donut, brownie and pumpkin bread were all fantastic. And to top it all off the lovely lady working the register and helping me was fantastic. Such warm, friendly service that leaves you feeling great about the day ahead. I can't wait to come back!
Response: Thank you so much, Kyle! We really appreciate the feedback ❤️

Tee Cole: Took the 44 min ride from NW Baltimore just to find gluten-free bakeries. The staff were nice, place very small but really cute. The cupcakes were dry, the pumpkin cake dry and only tasted like spice, carrot cake had no shredded carrots and was dry. The regular brownie was moist and I liked the chocolate chips but it had a cinnamon taste to it, which I don't care for. Can't say I'll make the drive again. The hunt continues...
Response: Hi Tee - Sorry you weren't into our stuff, but thank you for making the trip! Things can dry out easily in the refrigerated case, but this is not feedback we usually get, so I do hope you'll give us another try. We do put cinnamon in our brownies. I wish you had tried our sandwiches because our bread is excellent. Take care...

Tricia McGuire: Absolutely amazing -- give these wonderful people your business! Woman-owned business, gluten-free and delicious food, and an adorable atmosphere -- what's not to love?! Dana, the owner, not only treated us with excellent customer service, she treated us like we were friends. My mom and I are visiting DC from out of state -- we wish we could come here all the time. We loved it!
Response: Thank you so much, Tricia!! We hope to see you back in town soon, but we also ship 😁

Kate Cope: Visited this bakery for the first time on Sunday am - I didn’t catch the names of the staff but both were SO kind and welcoming. I had my two little ones with me & they let them taste a couple of extra treats :) The food was all incredible and the vibe/atmosphere is just great. I would highly recommend this bakery to not just those with a gluten sensitivity or allergy, but to anyone who enjoys delicious baked goods and kind employees. Definitely will visit again!!
Response: Thanks so much, Kate! My staff work really hard and we're thrilled to hear that you had a good experience. Our standard is "delicious even if you’re not gluten free", so I appreciate that feedback as well!

John Palmer: Great gluten free bakery and cafe. A little pricy but the cupcakes and pastries are wonderful
Response: Thanks so much, John!

Le Diplomate: what do users think?

Thang Phu: Highly recommended! We stopped by for a late afternoon food one day and was amazed at how fantastic the food is. It was all so good, especially their desserts. I have travelled to multiple regions in France and I can attest the food here tastes the closest to food in France. They even have a wine carafe on the menu, just like France. I wished I lived near here so I could go treat myself now and then.
Response: Thank you for such a complimentary review, Thang. We’re excited that you found our food and service to be five-star worthy. We are looking forward to welcoming you back in the near future at Le Diplomate.

mike wittenburg: Five Stars for the food and the atmosphere. Visited on a busy Saturday evening and got a table without a reservation, amazing. So much seating available. Indoor and outdoor seating. Went with a couple of friends and the drinks and food were fabulous. Tuna dish is a small serving. Trout was great and the muscles were awesome. Apple dessert and vanilla creme brulee delicious. Definitely a popular spot. And the bread... So much bread... Good variety of bread to choose from. Enjoy!
Response: mike, we’re pleased to know you had a great experience at Le Diplomate. We look forward to hosting you again soon. Feel free to follow us @lediplomatedc to keep in touch on Instagram!

Cindy Yang: Service: 3/5 Food: 4/5 Got a reservation and got seated immediately. We were running late and was trying to call but they don't answer phone calls. Fortunately our table was kept with a grace period. Recommend warm shrimp salad (the shrimp is very fresh), steak, escargot, and the duck. French onion soup is a must. We also ordered fries with added truffle but the truffle is flavorless so strongly recommend against adding it the entree.
Response: Thank you so much for the feedback, Cindy. We are always looking to improve and greatly appreciate the 4-stars. We hope we can earn that extra star on your next visit!

Daae Katsicoyannis: The meal was incredible. I recommend going with friends and sharing everything. The service was also impeccable. You can tell that all ingredients at this restaurant are fresh and of excellent quality. It’s rare to find such an approachable restaurant of this league. I would recommend to anyone.
Response: Daae, we’re pleased to know you had a great experience at Le Diplomate. We look forward to hosting you again soon. Feel free to follow us @lediplomatedc to keep in touch on Instagram!

brian perkins: Loved this place for a few reasons. Let’s start with the bread. Why can’t all restaurants serve great, fresh, delicious bread? Because it’s not easy. I pictured the empty escargot plate because after dipping the bread in the garlic sauce it was game over. Add onion soup, superb steak frites, profiteroles to die for and you have a neighborhood gem. Not to mention the wait staff gives treats to dogs being walked by the restaurants. How great is that?!
Response: Thank you for such a complimentary review, brian. We’re excited that you found our food and service to be five-star worthy. We are looking forward to welcoming you back in the near future at Le Diplomate.

Rob: The food and ambiance are always great. However, on multiple occasions, I’ve felt that the service is not what you’d expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Last time I felt a bit rushed and the service, while attentive, was curt. When our entrees arrived, a waiter couldn’t fully reach to place my friend’s plate in front of him. Rather then walk around the table (there was space), the waiter placed it on the table and gave the plate a quick flick of the wrist to push it over. It’s a small example but I think captures a similar sentiment seen in other reviews about the service.
Response: Rob, we're happy to know you had a positive experience at Le Diplomate and appreciate your feedback on how we can improve. Hopefully, we have another opportunity to serve you in the future so we can earn that last star!

Karissa Warren: Had an awesome food experience on New Years! Was a little disappointed they didn’t have their usual pastry assortment but every single item we got was delicious!! We really came for the pastries and croissants but were blown away by the food! If you want an authentic French croissant, they’ve got you covered! We will definitely be back!
Response: Karissa, 5-star experiences are what we strive for day in and day out here at Le Diplomate. Thank you for the great feedback and we'll hopefully see you again soon!

Dee Ketterman: We’ve eaten here twice and love the food and decor. The feel of the restaurant more resembles an upscale bar with delicious food, as most people are standing and drinking rather than eating. I’d like to try sitting at the bar because I think it’d be a better experience to fit the atmosphere over a low table with people standing all around. The mushroom tart is fantastic and the French onion soup is the best I’ve ever had! The service was dressed appropriately but less attentive than expected, most likely because of how busy it seems to get. Regardless, I really like the food and hope to visit again soon.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share feedback on your recent visit to Le Diplomate, Dee. Our staff works incredibly hard to ensure our guests have the best dining experience. We hope to see you back very soon and to earn that extra star!

Heivi Herne: They call themselves a Spanish restaurant. The interior is nice. Restaurant is spacious. There are different rooms with tables. There are also tables to sit outside. The service wasn't not very fast. I ordered one cocktail. It wasn't very good. The funny thing was that they brought bread, bread and margarine as a snack. I have been to Spain a lot of times and eaten there. There is no such snack there. I think that this place is overpriced

Bibiana Oe: Very cute upscale dining experience! The waiter had many recommendations that were appealing. The bread with the butter is amazing! Ordered assorted oysters, mushroom tart, beef bourguignon, mussels and frites, and the profiteroles. Loved everything and it was good portions! Recommend for a lovely cozy dining in experience since the bar and inside of the restaurant is super unique!
Response: We're happy to know you had a positive experience at Le Diplomate and appreciate your feedback on how we can improve. Hopefully, we have another opportunity to serve you in the future so we can earn that last star!

Commissary: what do users think?

Lucian Jessel: Brunch was absolutely amazing, and the patio seating was gorgeous! All of the servers were incredibly friendly and helpful. I also absolutely love that gluten free options not only exist, but also are clearly labeled. The gluten free brownie sundae was especially amazing - the texture and flavor were spot on. Pricing is also excellent - it was much cheaper than I expected, especially in regards to the quality/quantity of food and the fact that it's in DC. 10/10, would recommend!

Michelle Diane: Yummy brunch spot with a great outdoor dining set up- it was spacious and had heating lamps. Service was amazing and food was bomb. FYI, the portions are big and certainly shareable (especially the breakfast pizza!) we weren't able to finish it all!

Jo Kim: My Manager set up a Holiday team gathering for a mixology class here. We started out w a rose and made 3 drinks w tastings in between. It was very informational and the timing between cocktails were spot on. The instructor was fantastic and very generous on the liquor. I personally wasn’t a fan on the drink with Chartreuse but the history she told us, behind the liquor was fun/interesting to learn. The food in between were delicious that we stayed for full plates of food after. Service was spot on and food were great.

abdiel blas: Very relaxing atmosphere with open minded people. Great spot for breakfast! Staff were a little busy because it was a packed house but did their best to serve us in a timely manner. Would recommend!

Tiffany W: I really liked my fish and mashed potatoes. My friend ate the porkchop and did not like it. I also ate a piece and I did not like it either. I think the pork chop was really big but not cooked through enough for our liking. The server was cool, drinks were good (bloody mary & peach old fashion)and the atmosphere was nice. I would come back for happy hour.

Fei stetzwa: Marcus, our server: punctual, courteous, charming, and handsome. For that reason alone we'd return. The food and drinks were tasty, well presented and affordable.

Scotty Leach: One of my favorite affordable breakfast spots near Logan Circle. Reliable, fast, and the food is wonderful. I generally order the Huevos rancheros and a mocha to go with it, which fills me up and brings me joy. The outdoor seating is really nice too - I went on a first date here and being outdoors on a warm weekday morning made it feel more intimate somehow. Anyway - the place is usually packed and yet the food still comes quick. Those cooks are amazing. Bottom line: Highly recommended.

Jorden Van Etten: Went here for brunch on my birthday. Had the bottomless mimosas and pancakes. Such a great experience. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed this place so much. The food was so great and i got a free banana split sundae for my bday

Kevin Livingston: Pork belly appetizer was good. Fish and chips were excellent! I will ask that our server please forgive me, because I do not remember his name, but he was very nice and seemed very pleased to take our order. Thank so much, sir. Loved the decor and the atmosphere. Most important; clean restroom 🚻.

Linden Yee: This place is awesome! The happy hour is so reasonably priced with $5 rail spirits and cheap appetizers. I really liked the chicken lettuce wraps. Breakfast has also been solid too. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed and the staff is always really friendly.

Busboys and Poets: what do users think?

Sherrine M. Thompson: Really enjoyed the food at this Busboys and Poets location. My friend and I had the shrimp and grits, the lamb burger and for dessert, chocolate cake. The food was made with fresh ingredients, seasoned well and tasted great. The wait staff were attentive and helpful. The restaurant was busy at the time we visited but we did not wait long to be seated or served. We ate indoors but there is Lots of outdoor seating as well.

R G: Visited on a Friday lunchtime. I had planned our day to include lunch here, having previously been to the K street branch. It was quiet and service was quick and friendly. I had the vegan 'chicken' burger which was great, I would gladly have brought home a jar of the pickles that it came with! My husband had pancakes and a side of home fries, also delicious. Portions were a good size without being too much. Lots more space than the K street branch and maybe the vibe suffered a bit for that but food and service were great.

Laura Morris: I loved the concept and ambiance of this restaurant. The menu is varied and has great potential. My husband ordered the Western Omelette. It was packed with veggies and was delicious. His toast and potatoes were not hot. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. My food was barely warm. The poached eggs had runny whites. Even the service was luke warm as we had to wave our server down a couple of times for coffee refills etc.

L Sweet: Poet Inspired Dining. 3 simple words express this modern take on art and food. On this day I had Brunch but Lunch and Dinner options are where this place shines. They have several gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. DC inspired cocktails may also be found in the menu. It appeared to me that the Servers are a bit overworked due to understaffing issues most likely caused by the pandemic. Don't let that stop you from giving this place a try. Parking isn't too hard to find as there is a public underground garage attached to the building.

Collin McFarlane: I've been to all the Busboys and Poets in the DC area... and I've occasionally been disappointed in the quality of the food, but this Busboys pays attention to detail in the kitchen. I was impressed with the service as well. Lots of diverse menu options, and very accommodating for vegan and vegetarian diets. Will return.

Ashley Smith: I can't take credit for this delicacy. I read someone else's review. It is my new favorite thing. I get the vegetable quinoa bowl and add blackened shrimp. The way they season this thing should be a crime! I am not vegan nor vegetarian. I gravitate to this meal option more than anything else now. The eggplant is not pictured. Sometimes the kitchen doesn't season that item well and it is my least favorite part of the bowl when that occurs. Drink featured is the poet mojito.

courtney mims: I brought my pekingese with me and one of the workers was so kind to open the patio up and serve me outside. He recommended this vegetarian dish that was divine. It was full of variety and had so much flavor. He even shared the secret ingredients that made the sweet potatoes so delicious. The tomato soup with oyster crackers was really nice and the white chocolate latte was perfect. Not too sweet. I can't wait to go back. The menu has something for everyone 😋

Minh Hien Lai: You can have food/coffee/drinks for any time of the day here. Fast service. Love the happy hour menu.

Christian Doza: Tremendous customer service , fantastic bartenders, the flavor on the chicken panini , tomatoes fantastic , the crunch on the bread was the BEST

Fran I: This place was truly awesome. We felt comfortable during COVID and the waiter kindly reminded us to keep our masks on unless we were sitting at our table. The service was kind and friendly, the bathrooms were clean, and the food was really good. Especially the lamb sliders, truly amazing! My kids also loved their food. The coffee was unique and delicious as well. Definitely recommend in every level!

Lincoln's Waffle Shop: what do users think?

Chelli Smith: Chicken wings were seasoned just right with an amazing crunch. The waffles were soft without being soggy and they were so good. By the time I looked up my teen had inhaled her French toast so I didn’t get to taste those, but when I asked her rating scale of 1-5 I could barely get the words out before she said 5. This place is the perfect hole in the wall/mom-n-pop type spot that lets you know the food will be good. We will be back!

Claire Mizutani: Stopped by for breakfast with my brother. We were seated at the counter and served pretty quickly. The chicken wings were very crispy and the grits had a wonderful consistency. My brother said the eggs were cooked exactly as he asked and was happy the waffle wasn’t too sweet.

Italia Capone: Small little spot directly across the street from Ford's Theater. Busy Sunday morning and the place was packed with tourist and locals. Unfortunately, they didn't have enough help to bus tables, seat people and take orders. There seemed to be some dissension in the ranks as two of the employees seemed to be arguing this fact (in a language I didn't recognize) while we were waiting to be seated. Food was good and was cooked exactly as we had ordered it. I had to keep asking for refills of coffee and we had to wait quite a while for our order to arrive. Next time I'm in DC, I may stop in during the week. Hopefully, it won't be as chaotic.

* dnainsb: This is a small old time diner type of restaurant. It serves mainly breakfast and has a lot of variety. The price point on the food is good. Be careful if you go and try and find the bathroom you must go down some rickety steps to the basement where there's an old bar that's unused very fascinating. It's located across the street from the Ford theater and down the street from the house where Lincoln died.

la Au: Some of the best breakfast food i have tasted. Service is good and the food qaulity is great. Staff is upbeat and friendly. I had the blueberry pancakes with grits eggs and corn beef hash. The blueberries were so fresh and the egas were so pight and fluffy. The food is delicious. Im writing this review while im sitting here eating. Had too.. it's just that good

Elizabeth Wong: I will always love this place. It brings back childhood memories of my grandpa's restaurant. The old man who runs this place is grumpy but well meaning. People who get upset because you can't read a sign and wait patiently, be prepared you will be told to close the door! The food is unpretentious, delicious and simple. There isn't any other place that you can get food like this in a mile radius. History is this place and the food is timeless.

Rob Riggs: Let's call it what it is, a novelty diner due to the name. The service is super friendly, We ate at the bar and they were always checking on us. The food came out fast also. Everything was cooked as we requested, it was just extremely bland. Even the chicken wings, no real flavor to them. The best thing we tried was the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. It's fun, cause it's got Lincoln's name in it, but there's way too many breakfast options for us to return unfortunately.

Michael Rusk: What a great find in downtown DC. The wait was about 15 minutes but well worth it. The host was such a character and kept us entertained. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. I had a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on a bagel. My wife had a waffle and sausage side. Coffee was brewed fresh. Warning — on the day we were there, 3/26/22, their credit card machine was out of order and they were only accepting cash. The ATM around the corner was broken also! Plan on $15 per person unless you’re really hungry.

Anne Gotimer: Easy to go option. Visited around 6:45am on a Saturday. No line, quick friendly service, and hit the spot. Eggs in my sandwich were still a little runny which was perfect with the toast of the bread. I know some people mentioned that it's a little expensive for the quantity but let's be real, everything will be more expensive in DC. This spot has heart and good food. I will definitely come back.

Travielle Keith: I can't believe this place has 4.3 star, I guess it's because of their efficiency that's the only thing admirable about this place. I got a waffle two scrambled eggs and turkey. There was corn beef hash in my eggs eww. The waffle was okay. Turkey bacon wasn't edible. I guess this is a tourist attraction this was my first and last time eating here. Not worth the wait or poor dining experience.

Buffalo & Bergen - Union Market: what do users think?

Tricia McGuire: Delicious! The bagel was made very well and this restaurant has clever pairings and I liked another reviewer's comment, the sandwiches are delightfully messy! Staff were friendly and the shop was cute with some seating inside and plenty outside seating. Also, I want to highlight they have gluten free plain and everything bagels. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable with this -- my mother has an allergy and even thought I had forgotten to request this, they made sure to place her gluten free sandwich in a separate bag! We were very grateful. I definitely recommend and will return if I'm given the chance!

Jean Ng: Easy over the counter bagel joint. Service is friendly and the bagel, messily good. Got myself a “in your face” breakfast sandwich which consist of a sunny side up over mozza cheese and pesto spread with hot salami. I wished I’m eating with utensils because I really dislike getting my fingers messy. Hehehee Saw some other patrons ordered a bloody mary and it looks legit.

ESB NYC: Stylish old school bagel joint in the corner of Union Market. Charming gentleman served us at the counter. Bagel quality passed muster with this born and bred New Yorker. Looks very popular for locals and tourists alike.

vze1nv91: When was the last time you heard someone complain that their meal was too big? That's what the salmon and cream cheese bagel was like. I could only eat half and it was actually the most delicious food I've found so far at Union Market. It was packed with salmon and cream cheese and the capers were a great touch. The prices still seem awfully steep to me, but I won't deny here you get what you pay for.

Anthony: Great place to sit down and have a light meal! Located inside of Union Market, there are plenty of seats to sit at the bar and order from. They have a nice menu that range from breakfast to brunch and more. The Food: I had to go with the trusty favorite of mine, "The Original" bagel. The Original Bagel comes with cream cheese, capers, red onions and Lox. You're able to choose what bagel you'd like and any additional add ons as well. The bagel was toasted perfectly and the flavor of all the ingredients together made a delicious bagel. The Lox was tasty and had a fair amount of everything, so the portion size was good. The Service: The service was great, even for a busy Sunday afternoon. The staff treated us when we sat at the bar and orders came out to us at a fairly good pace. No complaints at all. Overall, a 4/5! Good food and great service!

Nate B: We enjoyed this place. I had a draft beer. It was good. Service was slow. They did not know which beers they had when I ordered. Nice location. I would recommend this place.

LeeAnna Springer: Excellent food. Great service. Fantastic drinks. A definite stop for us in the future.

James C: This place is excellent! The workers are friendly, the bagel sandwiches are high quality, and the drinks look great, though I haven't had one yet. A definite place to stop by!

Dan E: best breakfast sandwich in dc by a wide margin. workers are extremely polite. sometimes takes awhile to get your food because it is not a secret how good it is. recommend ordering online beforehand.

Jorge Zurita-Coronado: A pretty solid bagel. Bacon was well cooked but would have liked a better egg to bacon ratio. Ordering online was easy and fast. Once I got the text that my food was ready I was able to walk right up and pick up.

The Happy Tart Falls Church: what do users think?

J Q: Amazing bakery! I bought my wedding cake here and it was absolutely delicious. My gluten-eating husband loved their cake so much that he chose to do a fully gluten free cake instead of separate gluten and gluten free cakes like we’d initially planned to do. We couldn’t be happier with how the cake looked or tasted. We got many compliments on it and many guests went back for seconds!

Verity Sainte Marie: I have been coming here for years and it is honestly one of my very favorite places. It's so hard to find good gluten free (and in my case, soy free) options, but Happy Tart always comes through. Everyone who works here is aways so friendly and they continue to come up with new and exciting gluten free recipes. This Valentine's day picnic special was absolutely perfect and made the day very special, and the focaccia was absolutely to die for! My partner and I agreed that no one would know it was gluten free, it was just amazing.

Jessica Thiel: You do not have to be gluten free to love this place. Their food is excellent. Favorite are mushroom turnovers, quiche, scones, chocolate chip cookies. We ordered the lasagna for a family gathering and it was a hit. Don’t miss out!

Ashley Davidson: While I'm gluten-free, my husband and most of our guests are not, so we opted for a (regular, gluten-filled) dessert bar through our venue/caterer and a ceremonial cake from The Happy Tart. I love the cafe in Falls Church, but asked around for recommendations for a gluten-free wedding cake – and SO many people recommended The Happy Tart. Because they weren't doing in-person cake tastings, we picked up a cupcake sampler and took it home for a virtual tasting with Emma over Zoom. They were delicious! We couldn't decide on a single flavor for our two-tier cake, so Emma did one of each: vanilla salted caramel and almond-raspberry. We provided a few inspirational photos via email and Emma and her team took it from there. The Happy Tart delivered the cake to our venue in Washington, D.C., and Emma decorated it with flowers that our florist provided. It was gorgeous! While we never intended to serve the cake to everyone (selfishly I wanted to eat it with my three Celiac friends), our venue/caterer ended up slicing it anyway and plating it with the dessert bar. I was so bummed to not get any cake beyond a bite during our cake cutting, but our guests raved about it! They had no idea it was gluten-free, and I think we managed to convince a handful of gluten-eating friends and family to start eating GF pastries! I can't say enough amazing things about The Happy Tart.

CJ Jones: We love this place. The wife can't eat gluten and without having the Happy Tart, our lives would be much blander. They also catered our wedding and did a fantastic job. The food is delicious and healthy. Love this place.

Christina Saull: Ordered the chocolate decadence cake from here for my husband's birthday - it's hard to find good cakes that are also gluten free! But Happy Tart hit all the right notes with his awesome, yummy cake. GF and non-GF family loved it. Online ordering was easy, as was pickup.

Kristie DaFoe: Excellent gluten free cupcakes that were liked equally by those who have to be gluten free and those that do not! The buttercream was beautifully formed into floral designs. Would recommend again :)

Jordan Taylor: I am absolutely delighted by the custom cake and cupcakes I ordered for my son's birthday party. After putting in my request, I received several design options, I picked my favorite, paid the invoice, and these beautiful and delicious treats were ready to pickup the morning of my party. I couldn't be happier with how easy the process was, and how beautiful and delicious my cake/cupcakes were!

K NF: I would give them 5 stars just for the crisp and butteriness of the puff/layered pastry in the cream cheese-berry turnover. I drank a red eye along with it. It’s a lot to ask, a delicious coffee / espresso AND delightful gf pastry. Worth it!

C Davidson: The absolute best - incredible tarts and cakes. Started out of a small shop in the Del Ray neighborhood and now located in Falls Church. Worth the effort to go - meals plus pastries. ALL EXCEPTIONAL.

The Admiral: what do users think?

Salvador Robledo: Great outdoor seating, food was on point. I had tacos but wished I got the soft shell crab sandwich which was delicious!! Prices not bad for being around dc area. Had a blast with friends here!

belen D-M: Really good atmosphere in the Admiral. We enjoyed it a lot and the service was wonderful. We ordered margaritas and they were really delicious, 100% recommend it. And it is also pretty close to many night clubs, so a great place for pregame 🤙

Rosalind Ward: This place is awesome !! Food is awesome!! Drinks awesome!! People are awesome!! Music is awesome!! It was a beautiful Saturday we were seated right away I think it was timing… but the service was top notch!! And the food was so yummy!! Ten Stars

Kayla Hamburg: We had an amazing experience reserving a space at the Admiral for our engagement party with about 25 people. They were extremely responsive to my emails and helpful at answering questions. The event space was very well put together and sectioned off for us. They were attentive to our guests and the drinks and food were amazing! They were especially helpful in kicking out people from our reserved section that were not in our party. Thank you for an amazing event!

Emma Jarczyk: The Admiral is a great place for events - Kati was a pleasure to work with and very responsive with scheduling and finalizing details! The staff were all very welcoming and the night was flawless. Will definitely be recommending The Admiral to my colleagues if/when planning events in DC. I was also offered bar/food deals for my guests without even asking. Overall great experience!

Russ Dean: Spoke to Charlie on the phone about adjusting to a 10:30 reservation for 4 the night before the actual reservation and he confirmed. We were celebrating a birthday. Arrived to find no host or manager to be found whatsoever, and the bartender said reservations stopped after 10 and good luck finding an open table, that it was more club style. Charlie said nothing of this. Why make a reservation adjustment for me and not mention that it means nothing after 10 and your kitchen also closes? Finally found an open table and seated ourselves after some time had gone by. Asked bartender to have a manager sent over to our table twice and no one ever came. If we didn't approach the bartender we would have never been served or aknowleded. They should genuinely investigate who was working and answer for why no one was their directing customers at all on Saturday night. Horrible business. Would love to have management reach out to make it right.

Alicia Menendez Brennan: I worked with one of the event managers, Tyler, to arrange a large office Happy Hour at their outdoor tables. The experience was seamless, and the happy hour was delightful! It was great to be able to order from their outdoor bar, and everyone was happy with the food and drink. Would definitely recommend for both small and large outdoor event needs.

Janna Sheets: I always have a difficult time finding a good brunch spot that’s willing to accommodate a larger group of people, but I had such a good experience here. The events manager, Tyler made it a really stress-free and fun experience because he was very accommodating. The drinks were also fun and 10/10 overall.

Andrew Carothers: Went to the Admiral for bottomless brunch on Saturday and had a great experience! The food and drinks were tasty and our server was prompt and attentive. They also did a great job accommodating our large group of 14 people. Would definitely go back!

Shomik Das: I came here for an event and only had the drinks. While sugary, the drinks are well made. At least the specialty drinks I had. The patio was large and had ample space for a lot of people. I plan on going back to experiencing this place fully and from what I saw, I would recommend to others in the area looking for drinks. The prices and service are reasonable as well.

Flower Child: what do users think?

Brian Copes: My date and I went here for the time tonight for dinner and it was nice! We were attracted to overall vibe of the restaurant. It’s almost a blend of fast casual and casual sit down restaurant. It has this fun, colorful and conscious vibe. Food - we got the bowls with protein added. They were tasty. It’s different from chipotle and cava in a global taste way. The drinks were blah and basic. Bathroom- clean and tidy! Overall, it’s a nice fast casual restaurant that I would eat at again. I would recommend this restaurant for a quick bit to eat.

Nils Hünerfürst: Had ordered over Doordash for pickup. Luckily there was a 50% coupon available and with that price under line the Lunch was quite good. The Pita with the Avocado spread is well made and my earth bowl was also quite good.

Emily Hamman: I came here for a quick solo dinner on a weeknight. Great healthy food, nice patio space, & friendly staff! Easy to cater to dietary restrictions (GF & DF). The gluten free cookie was to die for!

krystal wilcox: This is my second time eating here first time I sat in and had a meal Delicious. This time I ordered in the veggie platter A great place if want to start going vegan. I tried vegetables I really don't like and loved everything. I had the soup of the day which was broccoli soup, it was so good I could not stop eating. 😊

EWC Chow: Had a nice dinner there after the next door restaurant had a 45 minute wait time. Was looking for place that would serve lots of greens and salads anyways. A pleasant surprise. I had the Turkey Advocado Cobb which was very good. But this is a self serve restaurant. You place your order at cashier,, they bring you your food and you get your own water and utensils.

David Reznik: Fantastic flavors without any grease -- as a vegan, it is super helpful that all their items are clearly marked and that there are loads of options available. A perfect meal -- super healthy but still manages to fill! If in doubt, I suggest adding sides to your main, as they are delicious & complement beautifully.

Cynthia M: Heard a lot about Flower Child so finally gave it a try today. I got the Mother Earth bowl with chicken and my husband got the Turkey & Avocado Cobb. Ingredients definitely seemed fresh and I always appreciate clean, healthy food so thumbs up on that. However, we walked in and ordered take out and it took SO long to get the food out, which I'm not really sure why because you'd think the food are already cooked (or raw) so they just need to be assembled. Also, my Mother Earth bowl was so salty... I couldn't even eat all of it because of how salty it was. My husband's Turkey & Avocado Cobb was fine (nothing spectacular but nothing to complain about) though it's hard to justify paying $12+ for it. So overall alright, but we probably wouldn't go back.

V VP: I had a Mother Earth bowl with broccoli and tomatoes, steak added. It was great!

Haleigh Eppler: Beautiful and spacious dinning room. We went for the option (but not obligation) to have vegan and gluten free food. While I expected Japchae when I saw sweet potato noodles, I loved this non traditional take with spiralized potatoes. We also had the carrots which were amazing.

Josh Rees: Flower Child has great food and an awesome atmosphere. Come check it out! I got the chicken, mashed potato, and gluten free mac & cheese.

Old Ebbitt Grill: what do users think?

Natalia Mednikov: There are straightforward American-style food. This restaurant is best known for its huge old-school oyster bar—think lots of dark wood, brass fixtures, and big mirrors. That oysters was fantastic and fresh. We’ve enjoyed also cheese sampler, fried calamari and baked oysters. Everything they do is absolutely delicious. The service was very fast and friendly. We were happy to choose this great restaurant to end our busy day in Washington, D.C.

Tiberiu Hrihorciuc: Loved the experience! Tasted a dozen oysters and each one was more delicious than the other. Wine is very fairly priced. Saw it more expensive in some New York wine discount stores. The fish was such a huge portion when they split it in two plates we told them that we did not order 2 plates but to our surprise that was a full plate. If you get a chance to go to happy hours for oysters don't hesitate!
Response: Thank you, Tiberiu!

Aditya Karandikar: Had an awesome time here as a late night/ early next day stop. The food was quite nice and fairly refined, especially at such a late hour! The atmosphere was popping as well which made it more enjoyable. Service was very friendly and they had great oysters. Fresh complimentary bread never hurts either…

Sam M: This place is one of the more famous restaurants in DC. I visited this spot during brunch and it was packed. I would definitely recommend making a reservation for both weekend dinner and brunch services. I started with New England clam chowder and some salad dish. For entrees, I got eggs benedict and catfish. All the dishes I ordered were pretty good. But, I definitely enjoyed their desserts more even though I was pretty full before it. Their key lime pie and salted caramel bread pudding were both amazing! Staffs were very accommodating and attentive during the whole service. I’m planning to visit this restaurant and will get some oysters and burgers next time. I heard they are pretty good. I definitely recommend this place to celebrate any special occasions.

Suzi Figueroa: Wow, wow and wow! A friend recommended this establishment to me when I asked for dining recommendations for my upcoming DC trip. I am so glad I listened. The warm and inviting ambiance matched the service. And the food? Oh my goodness. Delicious. My SO ordered meatloaf. Who knew meatloaf could take on a such an extraordinary presentation.
Response: Suzi, Thank you for visiting Old Ebbitt Grill and leaving a great review! We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your experience and we hope to have you back again the next time you're in town.

Mary H: What a DC institution. I've been here numerous times taking "out of town" guests but always failed to write a review... This place is busy and crowded... so make a reservation. Service is attentive and friendly. Try to get a seat in the atrium, much nicer and brighter. *turkey club-generous portions of turkey. It was good and the fries were nice and hot. *salad greens- tasty, I wanted something light. *calamari-nice and crispy. They have a good selection on their menu, we just weren't that hungry. It's kinda the place to go when you visit DC.
Response: Thank you, Mary!

Amy Workman: If you're worried that this a nice place turned tourist trap that cuts corners, worry not. We had a fantastic experience and the food was superb. Our server was in his 9th year here and I wished he could've just sat and talked with us all night. They were wonderfully accommodating and welcoming of our kids, which you definitely can't say about a lot of places. Some places know that if the kids are happy the parents are more than happy to get another round and more dishes. And then when we're sans-kids someday, we'll definitely be back to sit at one of the beautiful bars. We had the walrus raw bar which was perfect for us never having had raw oysters. They did a little of each kind they had that night and I had no idea oysters could taste so different. We had the mussels, kids mac and cheese, and sausage pasta dish. The pasta was house made and the sauce creamy and spicy. So good. After dinner we walked it off around the White House. I've spent much more at restaurants and not gotten half as much food or nearly as good as service, so even though it was our most expensive meal in DC it was also our best value. Definitely a must-go in DC.

Elaine Viegas: AMAZING! There is no other word to describe it. Since we arrived until we paid the service was perfect. I couldn’t be more happy for their food, service and kindness on my birthdays lunch. We didn’t mention that it was my birthday but they saw on my profile and as soon as I arrived they asked to confirm and no only brought my desert with a candle and a cute chocolate happy birthday place on the top. Our server was amazing, she arrived singing happy birthday, was very classy and really surprised me. Thank you for the excellence in your service. BTW the food it’s top quality, my oysters and shrimps were fresh abs really tasteful.

Jelena M: Great food, great price, great service! The waiter we had was so nice, knowledgeable, and friendly! The calamari was very good, but watch out for the spicy peppers in it . My salad was yummy! I usually never order salads, but I am glad I did as the dressing was citrusy and refreshing! They also give warm bread and butter while you wait 😍
Response: Jelena, Thank you for stopping by Old Ebbitt Grill and leaving a great review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you back again soon!

Matthew Hanna: This was a pretty cool place to eat. It is so old but very nice inside. Lots of preserved animals I didn't expect to see like sea turtles, walrus and more. The food was great and I really liked the drinks. You can still visit and get a really good burger and fries for like $18 or you can go all out and pay $100+ for a super delicious entree. Either way the alcohol is good.
