Marine Barracks: what do users think?

Kenneth Birkhofer: As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, it has been on my bucket list to visit Marine Barracks 8th & I. Today I made it happen and had the opportunity to reflect on the history and tradition of this monumental landmark. What an incredible experience; Semper Fi and God Bless my fellow Marines, all service members of our military, and the United States of America.

Arohra Lights: I loved this place. Full of culture, history, and motivation. The Friday evening ceremony was amazing and choked up during taps. Make sure to reserve your tickets in advance!! Everyone should go if you are visiting the DC area.

Dale Morrill: An amazing experience for all. The oldest active USMC post in the world. Get your tickets in advance online. Give yourself plenty of time to park and arrive. I found it just as easy and faster to walk from the parking location on M Street versus riding the bus. All of the Marines are extremely kind and helpful. The parade lasts about 2 hours. Marching band, Silent Drill team, Marine Corps mascot, honored guest(s), lowering of flag, Taps and more. A true honor to witness.

c walter: I would give this more stars if I could! If you visit DC, you have to attend this event! I can’t say enough! I wish I could post videos for you all to see how fantastic this is! I attended the event for July 4th. No better place to be than in our nation’s capital during this time of year-very patriotic.

Jason Harrold: Semper Fidelis! To all those who served in the beloved Marine Corps, to those who are currently serving and to those who will one day step onto the yellow footprints Semper Fi and thank you for your service. I was privileged and honored to attend a night at the Marine Corps Barracks. the Oldest and most prestigious barracks in the corps. The performance of the Marines was spectacular. I rode my motorcycle across the US from Los Angeles to DC for Memorial Day and this was a HUGE Highlight of the trip. If you are a Marine, you need to visit.

Isaac Holt: This base is the oldest USMC installation in the country. The Marine Barracks is the source of the name of the area it is situated in, Barracks Row. Every Friday evening during the summer try host an event called Evening Parade which lasts about an hour long. This event features lots of impressive drill movements and songs, all of which have a historical background much like the installation.

Rakim Means: Being a Marine and going to this place for the first time was a great experience. This place has a lot of tradition and history. We got to take a tour of the barracks and see the Commandants house. It is a little bit weird watching the Marine walk around in the camouflage uniform while out in town.

Gabriel Garcia: This is a great place to visit. Every Friday starting in May the Marine Corps put on a great show. This is the best of the best Marines. I know occasionally a special guest will make an appearance. On the day that I attended the VP of the US was there. Again this is a great place to see whether you are military or not. Go and support of Marines.

&pizza - Barracks Row: what do users think?

Rishil P: Tina Marie was amazing!! She made the experience the best pizza I ever had. Everyone came together to make me feel welcome. I love these people!!

Audrey Lester: Blind Customer: I experienced fantastic customer service! At entry, walk right, down row, make left, and walk straight to reach ordering counter. Sitting is on row you walk down, so be careful. Two professional ladies completed my order. Both provided clear descriptions of all available sauces, toppings, proteins, and more. They were each patient and willing to repeat items as needed. I was provided a bag for easy carrying with napkins. To top it off, I was offered seating both for dining or waiting for bus. I’m grateful for such a wonderful experience. I gather staff have knowledge of supporting people living with blindness. Excellent!

Akira Arnold: Service here was exceptional. Compared to every &pizza I’ve been to—and I’ve been to a lot— this was by far the best. It’s clean and covid safe. And, the workers and so nice, considerate, and dedicated to their jobs. Plus, the atmosphere is super lively and nice. 10/10 recommend.

J Robinson: I’ve been coming to &pizza since it opened but this by far my favorite location. When I first entered I noticed the place was clean and the music was amazing. Like who doesn’t like Return of the Mack. The cherry on top is the amazing service we received from Kay and Camille. They both were knowledgeable on the best pizza combinations, toppings , and I could feel the love they put in making our food.

Jen Chon: The customer service has gotten better over the years here. It is the perfect spot for all eaters — vegan (pile on the veggies w tomato sauce; vegan cheese; vegan sausage, etc); vegetarians (many varieties of cheese); and meat eaters. They use different pizza cutters for different dietary restricted pizzas. One pizza at $11 lasts 2 meals (unless you’re hangry), and they don’t skimp on ingredients. All ingredients of items are listed on their website, which is extremely helpful for those w dietary restrictions / sensitivities / allergies. I’m quite impressed at the management practices of workers at this location; they exude a high morale, which is also another positive reason for me to continue patronizing (this) &pizza.

Nicki B: I love coming to this &Pizza location. The staff is friendly and they managed to make my meal quickly and efficiently. I also appreciate that everyone working was correctly wearing their masks.

t mac: Pizza was delicious!!!!!! Generous amount of toppings. Hot and fresh.com!!!!!!!

National Community Church - Barracks Row: what do users think?

Autumn A: Love this Church. Solid message week after week. A friend brought me here several years ago and I was so impressed I kept coming back. I now live several states away and still listen over the Internet. I’ve also bought almost all of Pastor Mark‘s books in hard copy and via Audible. Like the Bible, ever time I read them, I learn something new. He’s a fabulous writer and a truly inspirational leader. Thank you for helping the Bible come to life for me and for keeping me coming back to Church.

Tomi Collins: This is an anointed Spirit filled church. We were here visiting the Lord definitely showed up. It was an awesome refreshing experience. The pastor delivered a message we have continued to reflect on since Saturday evening. We were thankful for the Saturday night service it made it convenient for her schedule. There are also multiple Sunday service times.

Sean Cole: We visited from out of town and loved it. The volunteers were super nice and helpful. The worship service was rocking and full of the Spirit. And the message was authentic and from the heart. Great for those who know God and are far from God.

Corey B: Messages are great! Small groups excellent! Pastors are all on point. I like the spirit in this church the most. I also like that you can go in and not feel like you are put on the spot.

Anton Johnson: Absolutely amazing community, location is easily accessible by metro. The service is fantastic. I have been with NCC for two and a half years and as long as I live in Dc I will continue attending there service.

C Dessus: Inviting church! They serve coffee and donuts in the morning. Most of the time, the sermon in on a screen prerecorded. Worship is nice.

C.S. Griffel: National Community Church has a great vision to do something meaningful for the Kingdom of God in D.C. and I really appreciate that. They work hard to be welcoming and remain true to the Gospel.

Extreme Pizza - Barracks Row: what do users think?

Jon Baker: Stopped by on a whim, ordered the wingin’ it and the boar’der. Fabulous. Great flavors, excellent crust, nice staff, great price. $21.89 for two 10 inch individual pizzas.

Mark Meader: Just came back from a pre-opening “friends and family” night at Extreme Pizza. They should be opening their doors to the public in just a day or two. My pepperoni, mushroom and olive pizza was piping hot and delicious. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are friendly and attentive. It’s also located in a great spot on Barracks Row. The interior space is perfect with a layout that can’t be beat!

Jami Studer: We had a great experience dining here with our family. Loved that we could get pizza by the (large) slice, especially for the kids! Nice atmosphere and very tasty pizza. I also had the Greek salad, which was delicious.

Joaquin Perez-Bahloul: Here the pizza is great, with reasonable prices! The customer service is also amazing as it is clear that the employees are actually trying to get you what you need instead of rob you of your cash, as they are very generous and kind! Would totally recommend!

John Velarde: They just reopened. Ate here today. They were doing a free pizza promotion and it gave me a chance to try their pizza. I had the Kicken Chicken which is a Thai style chicken pizza! Really good pizza! I recommend it!

Tony Unger: Walked in when they were closing up and the lady offered to make us pizza anyway! Very delicious pizza and customer service second to none! Keep it up
