Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies: what do users think?
Hemant Gaule
Hemant Gaule: Great institution, excellent faculty and resources available to students. A lot of impressive events and conferences are hosted at the institute.
Amy Friedlander
Amy Friedlander: Like many others have said, the support staff, to include the Deans Office, is absolutely awful. Unhelpful, discourteous, unprofessional. I expected so much more from this institution, but the SCS is a disappointment and can only be described as a mediocre school at best.
Karina Valverde
Karina Valverde: I love being a student on campus again. In pursuit of my masters in Public Relations and Corporate Communications. This campus is for the grad school and certificate programs. The culture is professional, high caliber students.
Patrick Revord
Patrick Revord: Convenient location, beautiful building, great instruction and great classmates. Georgetown runs a class act, even away from its main campus.
Monica Puerto
Monica Puerto: I enrolled into the Data Science Certificate Program at Georgetown. It is a waste of money and your time unless you have a robust background in Python. Most students did not because this certificate program appears to help you turn into one. I have background in SQL and data analytics and was hoping to gather some skills to make me a data scientist. Although I understand that a certificate program can’t turn you into one (although the marketing and messaging of this makes it appear so with the “robust” curriculum). This was purely taught on slides and wish it was more hands on. It is very expensive and you don’t start learning till the 3rd class. The first class was an introduction on what is data science (around $900) for some powerpoint you could have read at home. Second class was to get into groups to create a data product on a process that you barely know about. I recommend General Assembly they are more hands on. Although they don’t have the prestigious name (which I think Georgetown takes advantage of to teach this way), you will learn more and actually do projects AFTER you learn the material. I thankfully dropped out and sadly was only refunded the classes I did not take although intro to data science and getting into groups does not feel like real classes..
Response: Dear Monica—Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding Georgetown SCS’s Data Science Certificate program. We’re sorry to hear that the program did not meet your expectations. We've received your feedback on the course and have worked to integrate improvements, including communicating the Python expectation and resources available to students. We invite you to speak further about your experience by contacting a staff member of the Center for Continuing and Professional Education by email at ccpeprograms@georgetown.edu or by calling 202-687-8128. Sincerely, Andrew (Office of the Dean, SCS Georgetown University)

ANNA
ANNA: I am a current student at Trinity Washington University and I definitely don’t feel the same way about this school, as i did a few months ago when I started. The school isn’t the worst but I would not say that you get the feeling of a good college experience. I am currently thinking about transferring to another school. So that I don’t create a long review for others to read I will give a bullet overview of what does on/why i want to leave: - The administration as a whole are not very cooperative, nor do they know how to really help you. Advisors just repeat the same information that you could have found in the Trinity website. - The food is NOT good. I have seen dining hall workers take food from the dining hall and take it over to the deli which is one building away and charge more for it. They give you a better sandwich if your using flex dollars, but they give a basic sandwich if your using your meal plan. - Security is not consistent, they pretty much let anyone on campus and don’t ask the necessary questions before having a car proceed to drop off/pick up or parking. - There are no water fountains in the freshman dorm, which i feel is a health hazard. I feel, if they can get a dollar out of me then they will. It’s either $1.25 - 1.75 for a bottle of water in the freshman building, and Laundry is $1.50 to dry and another $1.50 to dry. My first semester of freshman year it was clear that the dean didn’t like my professor so she would try and get us to say things negating about her, she would observe her teaching more than i’ve ever seen, and before the second semester was to start she quit. Trinity is nice in the brochures, and online, but if you come here you will soon realize unfortunately everything is not as it seems.
Malik Freeman
Malik Freeman: Beautiful campus just a few miles from DC. A great place to meet, eat and sleep.
Xavier Hodge
Xavier Hodge: I have nothing nice at all to say about this awful school. Well, the professors are good and caring. The school administration is the worst! although I am only a few semesters away from graduating with a 3.8 GPA or better, I absolutely regret going here. I wish I could change my alma mater. I am ashamed of being a "soon to be" graduate from this school. I will NEVER recommend this place to a prospective student. I have NO desire to ever participate in any Trinity related alum activities... If they ever reach out to me, I will do all I can to NOT use profanity when saying "HELL NO!"
Hiwot Tadesse
Hiwot Tadesse: the worst school i have ever been to. All they care about is the money they get from you. the staff are no help at all. community collage appears to be better. the professors are good but the people in the office are rude and mean and all they do is sit around while they drink coffee and talk about their personal life. for any question i asked the answer i got was "I dont know". i am glad i left when i had the chance.

Henok D
Henok D: The most terrible school I have ever been to. Both the main campus and the Community college are the same. A lot of slow, unprofessional, and rude staff who keep yelling at students when they are not even doing their jobs properly. I submitted a certain paper to the Financial Aid office and they told me they lost the paper after weeks that I had to pay about $1700 out of pocket. Yesly Turcios
Yesly Turcios: GLEN DOMINA rudest person ever if you are working under a facility and a Student is inquiring on information/assistance you should be able to provide that at your upmost ability but unfortunately that was not the case here..
Danny Hirschfield
Danny Hirschfield: I graduated UDC-CC with an AA degree in Liberal Studies Fall Class of 2015 Alumnus. This college really helped me develop my learning skills as I am an older non-traditional student that started as a freshman with very little prior knowledge and discipline in academia. I have transitioned to the UDC flagship campus pursuing my BA degree in Political Science as a pre-law student. This university is the most affordable place to get a good quality education being the only public higher learning institution in Washington, D.C.
Jamilya Allen
Jamilya Allen: Okay So I applied about 3weeks to a month ago and I’ve yet to receive any papers informing me if I was missing any documents or etc. I’ve called at least 5 times a day for about two weeks straight leaving voicemail after voicemail and no one has yet to return my call not only did I call multiple times I have also emailed them multiple and no response. It’s ridiculous what’s the point of having an admissions office if they not even going to pick up the phone, guide you in the process of being admitted or anything else like you guys get paid to do nothing it’s sad.
h T
h T: This University has only good professors! But getting a Bachelor from the UDC will not get you a job!! Their jobs faire is just to get a website from the companies and brochures lol!
Jordan Stewart
Jordan Stewart: The financial aid lady with gray hair and dreads is disrespectful af. Most of the staff here are disorganized and rude. I disenrolled 2 months ago. When I went to disenroll the lady was eating crab legs in front of me. Come to find out she never really disenrolled me, and I had to go back up there today. Smh. I really wanted this to work bc I’m a Dc Resident but I’m enrolling at PGCC.

Washington Adventist University: what do users think?
Jason Beharry
Jason Beharry: Got pointed in the right direction when I needed a copy of some medical records.
Kate Jefferson
Kate Jefferson: This school is one of the worst school I have seen, the administrative staffs are nonchalant about one’s future and keep running the business to the ground, they neglect their responsibilities and the school gives no career assistance. Good employees with excellent communication skills had their contract terminated since the school downsized. Also, foreign students are neither offered relief, grant or scholarship funds. In addition, one can never get in touch with a contact person either through calls or emails as they will never respond. I will advise one invests in a better school especially if you are an international student as you will benefit from the outcome. Attending this school is a big regret, since they’ve continuously proved me right, they waste time in preparing immigration documents, never respond to emails or calls and you might end up losing a good job offer.Lastly, the administrative staffs have no God-like characters and forget they were once immigrants. This is my experience therefore, I won’t advise international students to attend this school since we are seen to be non-existent. Nevertheless, the academic staffs are really nice. This is my awful experience, can you guys try and improve especially during this COVID season.
Lashawn H
Lashawn H: This school is REQUIRING ALL STUDENTS AND ALL STAFFS TO BE VACCINATED with NO WAIVER that’s terrible people have medical issues that they cannot get the vaccine because it will causes serious reaction and what happen to my body my choice I would not go to a school that does not premier choice! ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Response: Hi Lashawn, In fact we are mandating the vaccine for the health and safety of all of our students and employees. Also, we do offer waivers for health or religious reasons. We are, however not allowing waivers for residence hall students, as they will be living in close proximity, with roommates.
Sofia Requena
Sofia Requena: Vaccines should not be mandatory, especially in an adventist university!!!
Christopher Meier
Christopher Meier: Expected far greater from a “Christian” institution. Perhaps it may be an administrative issue but I was disappointed with my experience.

Yes, I’m a teacher who has been given the task of having a Sign Language Club! So thankful to say I’m from Washington, DC and have access to one of the greatest institutions on the planet for resources!🙏🏿🤷🏿‍♂️🌺🍃
Ashley Marlow
Ashley Marlow: Gallaudet University is a beautiful, outstanding, cultured giant of innovation. I cannot say enough good things about it. It is located on FL avenue in DC. It is 144miles from central va. There is on campus housing, and off campus options. The school has a vast history and a bright future. Absolutely amazing.
Jessica Harper
Jessica Harper: Awesome visit! My daughter wanted to visit while we were in DC. She took a sign language class and learned about this University. There was a nice museum on campus that we visited as well as the bookstore where she picked up a sweat shirt.

Jane Tomczak
Jane Tomczak: It excellent for international deaf students. They are of course deaf friendly. They got high security and police, that make me feel safer. Staff very friendly , must to have permit to park there. Do have visitor park for short term and you must stop by office to ask where to park visitor spot or get permit or you will get cited pretty expensive so be beware. They have dorms for student to sleep and of course have caferina for students to eat. Galladuent are exllecent choices for deaf students. They got good educations. Required use American sign language to commutation at Gallaudet.

Howard University: what do users think?
Madame Dabo
Madame Dabo: Today I went to drop off my niece who’s continuing her second year of pre-med. the experience was amazing. I love how supportive the staff is. They have smooth transition process during moving in season. They were very well organized and had keys, moving carts, parking permits and guidance everywhere. I noticed that minorities are the majority at Howard. Diversity is embraced and everyone is welcomed and respected. I loved how they have sanitation stations everywhere fondue to Covid-19. The application process is easy and they financial aid staff is very helpful. Howard university os affordable and well known school. The dorms are spacious and private. Kitchen is well organized and the bathroom is huge. Campus was a little crowded because it was moving in day, but it was so organized that by 2pm everyone was situated and the streets were cleaned. I recommend this university.

Robert H. Smith School of Business: what do users think?
Jefri Tamba
Jefri Tamba: Great school for domestic applicants as there are ample career opportunities. International students here need to work their network but the location plays an advantageous role in that aspect. Being close to a metro provides lots of opportunities for international students as they get easy access to a plethora of companies. Most of the schools in United States are facing the issue of companies retreating from sponsoring international students and being close to a metro hub proves helpful. With plenty of startups gaining ground in DC area, there are ample opportunities for those looking for a career in startups too. The school tends to foster a strong entrepreneurial culture. Various clubs and activities foster a very strong student body and the relatively small class size is close knit. Everyone is willing to support each other and the school is really collaborative. The administrative staff deserves a special shout out for the amazing job that they do here and provide a very strong support to students.
Daniel Ricci
Daniel Ricci: I recently graduated from Smith and a scholarship was repealed creating a balance on my account. After reaching out to the financial aid office, they said that it was likely an error on behalf of the Smith school. I have been calling the Smith school department of accounting and finance for 3 days in a row to resolve the issue. All calls and emails have gone unanswered. Their website says their top "core value" is service.... ironic. Quite a way to treat your new alumni after spending immense amounts on graduate tuition.
J Mehd
J Mehd: Fantastic business school and faculty. I truly enjoyed my time completing my MBA at Smith.
Navendu Tripathi
Navendu Tripathi: Amazing faculties, Amazing Campus Infrastructure : I will miss UMD : Smith School :)
Masoud Hamedi
Masoud Hamedi: Took some graduate courses here, great professors and nice facility.
Evyatar Guttman
Evyatar Guttman: Karen Hallows is ridiculously inconsiderate and has absolutely zero business being in contact with young minds
Akshay Guthal
Akshay Guthal: New building with lots of study spaces and nice lecture halls.
