RASA: what do users think?

sahil sardana: 1. Good tasting indian food with modern twist 2. A little expensive especially when it is a self service joint 3. Non vegetarian food is good with good options 4. 4/5 because there is only 1 veg option that too vegan. No paneer. 5. Must visit if looking for good and quick food.
Response: Hi Sahil! Thanks for sharing your feedback, and glad you enjoyed your visit. For future reference, we actually have 3 Veggie Main options (Tofu + Cauliflower, Sweet Potato Tikki, and Harvest Vegetables) and also have four other hot vegetables to choose from! Looking forward to having you try when you are back next, and we will keep you posted if we choose to add paneer to the menu.

Richard Hall: I don't often order shrimp but this looked tasty and was perhaps the most perfectly cooked shrimp i have ever had. The vegetable sides are all delectable and the sauces are yummy. We will be eating here again for sure. I am not a huge fan of the "bowel" fad but Rasa was terrific.
Response: We love to see that you enjoyed your meal! We work hard to create good experiences and feedback like this makes it worth it. See you again soon!

Arsha Kardani: Chipotle style Indian restaurant. Food was very good and I loved the concept. I ordered the chef curated dish, tikka chance on me. You can also create your own with your own choices. Homemade juices were good too. I would really recommend this place.
Response: Love to hear that you enjoyed your bowl + our homemade juice! Thanks for your kind words and great feedback. We hope to see you again soon!

Lou Fegans: Rasa is a fun hip fast casual restaurant with a great location! The staff always extremely friendly and helpful and they have some fun twists on traditional rice bowls (plus fun names that you can't help by smile when you say them!) A mango lassi and "Open Sesame" is one of our go tos with lamb kebab (4 lb meatballs), peanut sesame, basmati, charred eggplant, cucumber cubes, pickled onions with mint cilantro chutney, mango coconut yogurt, and peanut sauce. Highly recommend No here during covid times if the weather is nice they have a large garage style door that they slide open providing lots of air circulation and there's plenty of seating outside on the sidewalk with nice landscaping. Update 2/21/22-revising stars to 4. Having visited atleast once a month for the past year I have noticed the portions have grown significantly smaller over time. This is disappointing but understand the price pressures they are facing. See photos below for comparison
Response: While we face current supply chain issues and shortages of some ingredients, we have not changed the portioning of our meals. We'd like to thank you for bringing this to our attention so we can work with our team on continued training to ensure all serving sizes are correct. In the meantime we are trying to stay nimble and provide the same experience for you that you've had in the past!

Viraj Patel: Had the lamb with lemon turmeric rice. This place is fine if you're an office worker who needs a quick lunch but if you're visiting town and want something special I'd go elsewhere.
Response: We're sorry to hear that you didn't love your meal. We strive to give our customers quality ingredients and a great fast casual dining experience.

jeffrey johnson: After asking may I exchange a drink because my girlfriend was allergic to the ingredients I was told no. That it was not returnable which I never asked and it also was not exchangeable. I heard that this place had great food and excellent customer service, but their lack of understanding and lenience was very disheartening.
Response: Hey Jeffrey, Alexya here from the RASA team. I'm really sorry you had a bad experience at our restaurant. We aim to create a welcoming environment at all of our restaurants and meet our guests with the best customer service, and it sounds like we missed the mark during your visit. I'd love to make this right – please send me an email at namaste@rasa.co so we can process a refund for the drink and get you a free bowl on your next visit. It's the least we can do. All the best, and hope to hear from you soon, Alexya

NY Fashion: Nice place and great concept, but very disappointing food.. generally under seasoned, eggplant were tough and inedible, cilantro sauce was bitter and old, and just generally lacked the flare that south Asian food would have. 😕Came in with great expectations, but won’t be back. Someone should taste the food occasionally, and/or train the cooking staff.

Jane L: Great fast casual option with several locations in the area. Set up is like Chipotle except with Indian flavors! They also have super cute decor and indoor and outdoor seating.

c williams: The food was great but I want to talk about the young lady (whose name I didn't get) who served us. Me and a friend were out and about and decided to go to Rasa. My friend is vegetarian so we compromise on where to eat but we both like Indian. We'd never been here before so we needed a little help (this was Sunday, April 17, 2022). The young lady was SUPER nice, very patient, knew all of the ingredients (it's a lot), made plenty of eye contact and explained everything without an attitude. She needs to be cloned. Young people get a bad rap about working but I loved her attitude and patience. Is the food amazing? Absolutely. So you know, it's like Indian Chipole, if that helps. She deserves the recognition for superior customer service!!
Response: Thanks for letting us know! We're grateful to have such a great team, and appreciate you sharing your experience. Looking forward to seeing you again soon!

Your Helpful Wendy: I love Indian food so much! That’s why I end up in this place and it was perfect because they do takeout. I order one of the bowls in the menu that it was already there but you can create your own with all the different options they have. Mine had rice chicken and all the colors and spices and flavors that I always love about Indian food. The price was great!! The service was extremely good, the lady was so nice and helpful. The only thing I would suggest this place will be to change the bags because they gave me the food in a bag and I walked my way back home, my food spilled all over the bag because it’s not a big enough for the size of the containers, so it’s squishes the food and that’s how it opened and the food was all over, the good thing is that I was able to eat it at home. I had to throw the bag and I had to put my clothes to the washing machine right away because everything was dirty but at least I had my meal later that day.

All-Purpose Shaw: what do users think?

Saritha Athmakur: Aaah! This place was a mood! We went during the happy hour. Great food, great place. Both the “Standard “ pizza and the mushroom onion pizza was so yum. The best part is the crust. And for apps we ordered the cauliflower. I don’t want to eat cauliflower in any other way now 😂

Taylor Rafter: Stopped today for a birthday brunch. We've never been here before so I checked out the menu online ahead of time and I made reservations ahead of time.... The menu is not 🚫 up to date. The bottomless options are limited to mimosas 🥂 and spritzers for 90mins. The pizza 🍕 was good. The blt + e was great on focaccia bread 🍞. The Nutella banana bread was tasty. The cold brew was more bitter than expected, just my opinion I like fru fru coffee so I added milk and sugar. The staff was great 👍 our server was so sweet and brought out a birthday doughnut 🍩 with a candle, how CUTE?! Overall a good spot for brunch, I was only slightly disappointed in the bottomless drink options in comparison to the online menu. It is also in a great walking area, head to the DC Alley Art Museum to explore.

Philip Gordon: All Purpose has some of the best pizza I have ever had. Ingredients are fresh and authentic. Portions are just the right size. The personal pizzas are 12" pies but turn out closer to 14". The crusts are just right and thin on the bottom. The menu offers plenty of different options. Most guests seem to just order to go. If you are dining in there is a 20% gratuity automatically included with your order just so you are aware. Pizzas can be eaten in one sitting if you are extra hungry. You can also take pieces home. The pies reheat well.
Response: Hi Philip! Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're so happy to be on your list of best pizza!!! See you again soon.

Wade McManus: We had dinner here a month back while visiting dc and found ourselves talking about it again last night while experiencing bad service somewhere else in our hometown. I cannot recommend enough coming to A.P. and sitting at the bar to order food. Our bartender, Alex, was a clear fan favorite as everyone enjoyed his service - he had excellent suggestions, always topped off a drink before we even noticed it half full, and was the number one best thing about our dinner experience. The pizza, drinks, and tiramisu were great, don’t get me wrong, but we have since told all dc friends to visit this spot because of its superior service, and we’re still talking about it today. You just don’t get that kind of service everyday.
Response: Thank you for your review, Wade! We're so happy to be a part of your trip to DC. Hopefully, we'll see you again soon!

Mahdi Shirvin: There pizza was absolutely awesome.I will Eggplant dish made with skin off. 😕The waiters were nice and professional. The restaurant add 20% services fee to all checks.

Jimmy Matthews: Had a great experience here during restaurant week. Made reservations for Friday evening, the gentleman who took our reservation talked through seating options to maximize social distancing to ease my COVID anxiety. When we walked in, everyone’s vax cards were checked & the gentleman remembered us and we were seated early. Our waiter, Nick, was very attentive and patient as we asked questions about the food and beverage choices. He provided great dinner recommendations! Our party of 3 had Brussel sprouts, chicken parm arancini, and 3 different types of pizzas: delica-ssata, sedgewick, & tripper. All fabulous recommendations, tripper and sedgewick were our favorite. Pizzas cooked to perfection and delicious crust! Had the tiramisu for dessert and a few glasses of wine along the way. Stayed a while and enjoyed the lively atmosphere & service. Adding it to a favorite spot among so many good options in DC!

Bex Yukman: Fabulous experience from the moment I walked by at the end of a conference day. Prompt, attentive, and friendly staff asked immediately whether I wanted my water sparkling. When I ordered without any customizations, Jeb nonetheless verified I had no allergies. And no exaggeration - the pizza was the best of my life! Grateful.

Chris De Hoyos: Sunday brunch… we are not even done being here yet and this place is AAHHHMAZING! We had Baked Eggs ‘Toscana’, Buona Pizza and the Double Stuffed Fried Mozz to start.. let’s not even talk about the ‘Bottomless Mimosas’ which were never empty. Then top it all off the Roman ‘Maritozzi’ for a little piece of dessert heaven. We sat at the bar and the service was more than exceptional, great music in the background as well. If visiting like we are.. you must stop in! Hell if you live here you need to frequent!

Thais Pansani: Nice atmosphere. A little bit expensive (20 dollars a pizza), but the pizza is really good, worths the visit. The bread with garlic butter is amazing!

Food Enthusiast: Best pizza I have had in DC! The vibe inside the restaurant is also very nice and cozy! The food was ready very quickly and the waiter was very nice to us! Will definitely come back for pizza!
Response: Thank you for coming in! Can't wait to have you back again!

Elias Chelala: Lot's of delicious and healthy Mediterranean vegan inspired food. I got the Za'atar Cauliflower bowl with extra spicy sauce. The meal was prepared in about 15 minutes and cost $14.57. They have both indoor and outdoor seating if you want to dine-in. Overall, I was extremely satisfied and will be visiting this establishment again.
Response: Thanks, Elias!

Ryan Briggs: Super yummy. I stopped in for dinner, ordered the mushroom bowl over greens with hummus and falafel added; plus a cardamom chocolate chip cookie. The bowl was both tart and savory with the pickling and mushrooms. A good mixture. I was really glad that I added the falafel since this was for dinner, it made the dish feel filling and was nicely complimentary. The cookie was nice, moist and chocolaty, but I like a regular chewy chocolate chip cookie more. It was good for being vegan :) The service was good, the eating area was clean. I liked the Israeli music that was playing. No reason to not come back for more :)
Response: Thanks for the review, Ryan!

Mike Walker: UPDATE 4/11/22: 2 days since first review, and I got back for the falafel. The falafel itself, not sure I've ever tasted the difference of flavor in the falafel itself, BUT... the whole thing put together with the ingredients on it, way better than almost ever place I've had it. I really liked falafel, but I think it's been taken to another level here. But, don't trust me, please, go taste it for yourself. And if you're not vegan or vegetarian, it really is worth going to this vegan restaurant. Wish I could try the burger, but I won't eat mushrooms. Sorry Carla. Looking forward to going back before I leave town. And thanks to the restaurant for responding. So I really wanted to give this a 4.5, but it's not an option. The food was good, don't get me wrong. I had the sausage pita. With the harrisa it was super spicy and the added veggies gave it a good amount of texture and crunch. The sausage itself, was fine, but tasted like any of the veggie sausages that you can get at a store. I was hoping for a little more. Other than that, I really like the place. The decor is fun and interesting, and there's a cozy seating area with long tables that fit 6-8 people. And yes, by cozy I mean small... BUT this is Israeli street food, so you should take it to go anyway! I do really like it and I'm looking forward to trying the falafel, and some of the other tasty sounding dishes. And I would order the sausage again, just wasn't as great as I had hoped for. I hear the burger is great. There's a video on their website of this woman raving about it. Check it out, it's what helped make up my mind about going there. Thanks Carla. And the reason for the half point deduction... There was no bathroom. Didn't hear if it was out of service or if they just didn't have one. Will update, post falafel visit.
Response: Hi Mike, thanks for the comprehensive review and we'd love to have you back to taste the falafel!

Luke Chang: Restaurant layout was unique. Kiosks we’re simple to figure out. There were both indoor and outdoor seating options. 2 unisex bathrooms. Foods was delicious. Restaurant was clean. Bathroom was clean. Service and staffs were spot on. First time here, had a positive experience. Definitely recommend grabbing a bite here, especially if you’re looking for a non-meat option.
Response: Thanks for the kind review, Luke! We appreciate it.

JT Mitchell: Too many great options but I settled on the Shouk Burger. The burger is meaty and has great flavor. Pickled veg adds a satisfying crunch. Pita is like a soft pillow. Hummus was so creamy it made me wanna cry. The cookie was the most average part of the meal and even so had a memorable cardamom flavor. Highly recommend.
Response: So honored, thanks!

Haleigh Eppler: I loved the plant based concept. It was a great place to take my vegan family. They also had numerous gluten free options available. I had a fried mushroom shawarma with a rice and lentil bowl. It was great. I loved the harissa Mayo on top.
Response: Thanks for the kind review, Haleigh!

Cortney Palm: Good food, fast service, cute location. Not great parking anywhere - street parking. The flavors can get annoying halfway through the meal. But otherwise it’s very good, creative and flavorful and feels healthy. I like the shouk sauce and the “chicken” made from mushrooms. The shouk burgers are good and the sweet potato fries are tasty. The cookies are pricey and I’d give the 🍪 a “B”. I love the eco friendly packaging.
Response: Thanks for the review, Cortney!

Nicole Romano: One of our favorite places in DC. It's easy to overlook that it's completely vegetarian because it's completely delicious!!! Fave is the shouk'n caesar salad but Falafel is a close second
Response: Thanks, Nicole!

Avraham Hermon: I was visiting DC on business. I was fortunate to be staying near this restaurant, which is certified Kosher. I had the Hummus one day, and it was done well. The mushroom based shawarma was unique and tasty. They use real Tehina from Har Bracha The next time I ate a plant based burger and lentil soup. Good, satisfying food. I will be back next time I'm in DC.
Response: Thanks for the kind review, Avraham! We'd be happy be happy to see you again.

Vanessa S.: Great place! We were looking for a lunch spot and I am so glad we stumbled over SHOUK. Pretty ambiance and very nice dining area. It was hard to choose a dish because everything on the menu sounds delicious. We decided to try the Mushroom shawarma, the dizengoff salad, spice fries and hummus. Everything was so good!! Hummus is amazing, great job. Highly recommend it
Response: Thanks, Vanessa! We appreciate the review!

Timber Pizza Company: what do users think?

Mischa: This is a very cute little place that serves mainly Argentinian-style empanadas, pizza, coffee, beer, and more. On weekends they open from 8am to 1pm, then they reopen again at 5pm. Unfortunately (as of this writing at least), they only serve breakfast empanadas and no pizza during the first opening. So you have to come back after 5pm if you want pizza or pork empanadas. Another downside is that there are three empanadas in each order, and they all have to be the same kind, so you cannot get one squash empanada and one pork empanada. Other than that, all else was good!

Onyinyechi A: Came by here because I was looking for some good pre π day pizza and they didn't disappoint. I did the half Bentley half pepperoni. Had some pork empanadas and ended it with a la mode vanilla gelato and a cookie. Everything was amazing. Staff was awesome 5 out of 5

Brie W.: Okay. Listen here. This place is WONDERFUL. I’ve never had a pizza this good. It’s really inexpensive for such high quality food and we have plans to bring family here when they visit from out of state. It’s interior is tiny but SOOO cute. We will be coming back to this place again. The sweet bar tender was very knowledgeable as well so don’t be afraid to ask questions. The whole staff seems to care about you and it feels really welcoming.

R N: Excellent pizza! The dough is amazing very fluffy and light. The outside seating was very rustic and the vibe as real! The staff was very helpful and courteous. Highly recommended!

Michael Roosa: Amazing window seat with awesome empanadas, Penelope pizza, and a nice cold iPa. Couldn't get much better. Another satisfied customer :-)

Amber Anderson: One of my favorite spots! The Bentley pie is my go-to, but the pies are on the smaller side so it's fun to get a couple pies to mix it up (and have leftovers for a day or two). For brunch, get the veggie, egg, and cheese biscuit sandwich with hot honey for dipping. The biscuits are basically dripping with butter and that's how it should be.

C J.: Great pizza, you can customize a pizza to be more vegetarian-friendly, but I’m not sure have many mods are allowed! It can get busy, so prepare for a wait, but pizza comes out fast and hot!! Call before to make sure they're still open if you come on Monday or Tuesday!! Love it

Aminah Imani: They don’t do slices. So I didn’t eat pizza, I didn’t want to waste food. I saw plenty of ppl with take out boxes. So come extra hungry if you want pizza. The bar is a cool spot. I only came here because I was in the area.

Remo Molino: Awesome pizza and amazing salad. All fresh ingredients. Thin crust. Wood fired oven. Local spring mix salad with fresh radishes and peas. All healthy and amazing taste. Two picnic tables inside and two outside. Lots of take out. Order takeout online or call. Wine, beer and gelato dessert. Restaurant is super clean as is the unisex restroom. All employees are quiet and super efficient. They have a good system here.

Christopher Hyde: -Food was good.-Soda’s were warm-Rude bartender: I asked for a cup and he said no. Then gave everyone at the bar cups for their beer. I had to use this super small medal cup for water.

Rice Restaurant: what do users think?

Monica R S: Their happy hour is great — both quality and price. The takoyaki and squid legs, were yummy we ordered a second plate!! Sushi was good too!!

PaulDonovan Reynolds: I dont understand the 4 stars. Nice staff and down to earth decor. The food was kind of ordinary. I had two meals. Happy hour appetizer of Miso soup was large but lacked flavor as did the salmon avocado roll. The Thai style post dumplings were excellent. Next night with guest. The squid was way way way overcooked and like a rubber band. The green curry was OK but no depth to the sauce. PRICE is medium so the value was there. The Happy hour price food items are actually cheap. good value and OK food.

Marjorie Dodson: Best Thai restaurant at this price point in DC. Best pad thai I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a LOT of pad thai) and the curries are incredible. Good portion sizes, very fresh and high quality ingredients, fast service. Plus the Asian market downstairs is great! I live nearby and often end up going multiple times per week.

Ryan McGorty: Rice serves up some classic Thai favorites in an urban chic space that emphasizes simplicity and warmth. Located in the 14th St corridor, Rice maintains the trendy, chic neighborhood vibe with its earth-toned interior and sleek, full-service bar. It can get pretty busy, so I’d recommend coming on the early-side to ensure you’re not sitting too close to any other loud patrons. The food is very good and they offer a nice array of options to pick from. They frequently have specials like a curry sampler. I’d recommend getting the Papaya salad with shrimp, Green curry with beef, and the Seafood basil. The presentation of food is tastefully done – simple and clean. The portion sizes are pretty good considering the prices. I strongly encourage you to look at the seasonal menu, so you can try some special foods. This is a great date night spot and wouldn’t be ideal for small children. There’s an outside patio with seating available for those nice weather days. They also have a small market at the entrance with lots of Thai cooking ware and trinkets.

Ray Wenderlich: Best Pad Thai I’ve had in 15 years! Great happy hour specials too - and tasty wine. Can’t wait to return.

Anthony Quaglieri: Excellent in every way. The food was fresh and the flavors were authentic. Top rate service. Visit the market downstairs. It’s an added treat.

Steven Montoya: I loved this neighborhood gem. Today was my first, but certainly not my last, time eating at Rice. The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the food is delicious. The drinks were also quite tasty - my lunch companion highly recommends the White Gummy Bear, which does in fact come with gummy bears at the bottom of the glass. My Dark and Stormy was strong, but not so much as to make it uncomfortable for me to be back in the office. Of particular note is the generous happy hour policy, which runs from open to 7pm on weekdays. I'm struggling to think of another restaurant which operates similarly. Loved Rice and will definitely be back again!

Aminah Rehman: Best drunken noodles ever! And i love the vegetable soup too. I have visited a few times. It might be empty because of Covid but the food is on point!

TOUCHOFERIKA: Great Thai !!! The restaurant itself is spacious and tranquil. Loved the feel in there very cozy. The drunken noodles (photo below) are SOOO good. IF you don't mind a little spicy.

Heleen Raes: I enjoyed my dinner here, the interior is cosy and the food very good. I had spring rolls and red curry and enjoyed both of my dishes. The one minus point was the temperature in the restaurant; I went on a hot day (about 85 degrees) and it was uncomfortably warm and stuffy in the restaurant.

Ted's Bulletin: what do users think?

Arash Tavakoli: I had one of my best dining experiences in this place. The breakfast is easily enough for two people. The staff are super welcoming. Try their tarts and that tastes like heaven. Been very happy with the pancakes and hey they bring you a whole container of coffee. I also really liked that when we ordered one breakfast for two, they put it in two different plates. Thoughtful! So enjoy!

Calvin Thumma: My wife and I went here after a recommendation from a co-worker of mine. The area we are from has a number very good bistro and brunch locations but this meal blew them out of the water. My French toast was by far the best I’ve ever had, the bacon was crisp, potatoes were perfect and the eggs yummy. My wife’s meal was equally delicious, she order eggs, potatoes, toast and sausage. Nicole was our server and made sure every was perfect and never left our drinks get close to empty

Paul LaVigne: Enjoyed the bakery treats we had the other day so much we came back for brunch. Be sure to call ahead for reservations as this is a very busy place with longer wait times. The food was excellent. I do recommend you come and enjoy this place when you’re in town

Angelica Norman-Beltran: Walked past this restaurant on my way home and decided to stop and have dinner. I'm so glad I did. My waitress was very nice and sociable. I ordered their Lavender Mule from the cocktail menu, Loaded Tater tots to start and decided to go with Avocado toast for my dinner, and finished everything off with their seasonal Cherry Blossom Churros. Every thing tasted amazing, I'd caution on using too much of the ranch sauce on the tater tots. It added an extra salt flavor that my mouth didn't like, use it sparingly. The Avocado toast was worth it the price. The poached eggs were made perfectly and there was a lot more avocado than I expected so that was a pleasant surprise. (Note it can be spicy with they peppers they use). All in all I'm happy I found this place while on a walk. I'll need to stop by again and try out a nother dish!

Jessica Zheng: Pretty good brunch location! For drinks, we just got a caramel iced coffee and a vanilla milkshake. Coffee was okay, didn’t really taste the caramel flavor at all. For our meals- I got the Big Mark Breakfast. The sausage was very tasty but the eggs and hash brown were pretty bland, I ended up using dipping them in ketchup. Boyfriend got the salmon toast, that was surprisingly tasty! I was just weirded about eating raw salmon as my first meal of the day but it caught me by surprise!

Tilak Kalaria: Absolutely spectacular dining experience at Tex’s Bulletin for brunch. Service was awesome in this spot with a great ambience and location in DC. The food was excellent too so much to choose from. Their avacado toast has such great attention to detail. The S’mores tart was special! To better enhance our awesome experience someone kind patron paid for my party of 5’s brunch!! Highly recommend Ted’s!!

Amanda Pokrzywa: Friendly service, great atmosphere, insanely delicious food! Highly recommend the BBQ & Bacon Bloody Mary! There's something special about their homemade tarts. The Huevos Rancheros hit all the flavor profiles I was looking for.

Fiorella Hidalgo: Went to get the special cherry blossom dessert during the Cherry Blossom Festival! Smoked Salmon Benedict is one of the best I ever had before! (I like it better than Kramer’s!). It took a while to get seated on a Sunday morning, so try to make a reservation in advance!

Hannah: Okay. I’m excited to review this place as an avid brunch food lover. To begin: we were told that the wait time was 40mjn and given a buzzer. Great. No problem, totally understand. To be fair, we hadn’t made reservations that morning. We wait 50min. They then tell us to wait another 30 minutes. My pregnant and hungry friend got it changed to 20min. Still. Once inside, the vibes were great. Our server was fast and attentive. Huge food portions and cute decor. Definitely not worth the weird waiting times, but will definitely make reservations next time!

Jacob Grice: Breakfast was awesome!!! Staff was super nice, restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was uplifting and calming at the same time. Food was very good and filling , you must try the cheese cake!! Defiantly will be back again!!

Thip Khao Restaurant: what do users think?

Rebecca Peters: Thrilled to find this lovely spot. The Naem Khao stole the show - excellent textured & iconic flavors. Was disappointed in the Khao Soi, I’m sorry to say - lacked depth and flavor, though a twist of lime helped a bit. Would try a different main next time. Definitely nice to have vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. The dessert (one option) was heavenly - a sweet rice base with a mango-coconut porridge, not too sugary but an excellent way to round out the meal. I’d definite go back, but try a different main course next time. Reservations are a good idea, though 2 people might be able to squeeze in depending on the night.

Khamesh Prashad: Thip Khao is a great little intimate date night restaurant. They offer outdoor and indoor dining. Our table was ready when we arrived for dinner and the service was very pleasant. All of the food was delicious with the exception of the pork and rice which I felt lacked a bit of flavor and the rice was dry and hard. But other than that 1 dish missing the mark, everything else was fantastic. The Jerry was very tasty and perfect texture. The papaya salad with the Laotian level of spice really pushed it. I handle a lot of spice, so it wasn't too bad for my but my date really had a bit of a shock when she tried it as I also noticed the table next to me sweating from the heat. But that is to be expected when eating from a place that takes pride in their level of spicy and taste. The drinks were fantastic and the noodles were a great soft taste after having the papaya salad. All in all I'd happily return and explore more of the menu.
Response: Thank you for the wonderfully written the 5-Star review Khamesh! We hope to see you again soon.

Toteona Gray: Really enjoyed my meal here! Since it was just me, I was easily able to get a table at the bar as soon as I came as a walk in. It is pretty busy it seems on Friday nights. However, the bartender was chill and attentive to serving me even though I didn’t buy liquor. The prices I believe were average. It was my first time having Loation (if that is how you would say it/sorry) and I would love to come back again some time. :D

Manjari Rudra: Amazing place to hang out!! Great food, great ambience, budget friendly. It’s a must try.

Joanna Selkridge: Food was good, service was good. In comparison to similar food styles (thai & vietnamese) its very good. But for me personally it was missing that wow factor.. but the food is good. They were busy and we were still served promptly. I would reccomend anyone to go for the experience. The chicken hearts were a surprise delicacy. It didn't taste like you would think.

Sokhoeun Chau: We enjoyed everything we had ordered, which was a lot of dishes. The service was also excellent. We're definitely going back.

Jennifer Liang: Incredible food and service. The staff are quite kind and the ambience is lovely. The food is priced reasonably given their large portions. Highly recommend checking out their desserts! Would come again.

Josh Axelrod: The best of the best in DC, you will not be disappointed! This place is bustling with eager diners, who've likely heard how heavenly the food is here. Start your meal with the Naem Khao salad, but from there you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. A divine DC meal for the books.

Priyanka Dangol: Definitely one of my favourite places in DC! A must go spot for vegetarians as everything was so so flavourful. We went there on a Thursday and it got busier towards the end of the night so I would suggest reserving before you go. We had the popular Naem Khao (highly deserving of all the hype it gets), the two tofu dishes on the menu (both which were amazing! I loved the dill tofu wrapped inside banana leaves) and the pumpkin for dessert! Just writing this review is making my mouth water

Felix Torres: The fish sauce smell will hit you as soon as you walk in the door and that's when you know its going to be a good meal. The service was very quick, and the prices really aren't bad for amount and quality of the food and especially considering its a bit of a trendy place too. The sesame beef 'jerky' and the tom sum salads were a great way to start the meal meal and went really good together actually. The pork belly dish -forget the name- was the star of show for us. Never had pork belly served like that before, perfectly bright flavors with balanced fat and acidity, lots of ginger and onions, so good.

RPM Italian: what do users think?

Sandeep Wilkhu: Excellent experienceWe sat in the bar because we did not have reservations. But our waitress Addison was so very excellent she made it an excellent experience. I would go back to the bar seating.

Charli Knows How To Eat: A very good friend of mine treated me to this very fancy dining experience. It was so amazing. I would recommend this restaurant for special events or celebrations. It is quite expensive however the service is great and the food is even better. I convinced my date that I’d like my own steak however I did not know they give you such large portions which is a first to see in a upscale restaurant like this. Nonetheless it was so tender and evenly cooked I ate every single piece !

raymond burgos: The service and hospitality are on par with the best in the world with amiable and capable staff. The presentation and food are excellent. The decor is well-suited to a high-end establishment and will make you break into a smile as soon as you walk in. The portions are good, not more significant portions - this is a tasting restaurant. Quality over quantity!

Kyana Shelton: Ambiance was stunning. Very classy and modern I love the simplicity of the place. Valet is cash only! Bread for the table was delicious. I ordered the shrimp scampi and my boyfriend ordered the chicken parmesan both a 10/10. My shrimp scampi was a small portion but besides that I had no complaints and actually left feeling pretty full. Can't remember the name of the wine I had but I believe our waiter said it had a hint of oyster. Overall, amazing experience with a sophisticated look I will be back!

Des KF: My boyfriend and I had reservations for this restaurant for my birthday. When we arrived we walked in and was greeted by the hostess and she sat us. The tables were super close to one another which was the only downfall. Tim was our waiter and he was so nice and attentive. We started with drinks and I got the Spritz and Giggles, it was weak but it was tasty. For my entrée I got the king crab with squid ink pasta and that was good. My boyfriend got the shrimp scampi pasta and he really enjoyed it. Tim gave us a cheesecake because we waited for a while to get drinks and that was so nice and it was so tasty. I also slid in that it was my birthday and he gave me a small, cute dessert to sing happy birthday. I really enjoyed my time, the ambiance was great and so was the food and service.

Lin Dinh: dim, upbeat ambiance with upscale cocktails— perfect spot for a bourgeois night out. plates were tapas size but the perfect portions. the mushroom pizza was by far the best pizza I’ve ever had. the short ribs were also superb. love it here!

MADDART: It was my first time dining here. I ordered a New York strip which was about 16 ounces.(a lot bigger than I expected from an upscale restaurant. It was cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor. The server was a bit forgetful about a couple requests I had made for pepper and silverware. I had to ask several times. Other than that the setting was great and I enjoyed my time there.

H. Ibdah: Amazing service. Amazing food. Amazing atmosphere. We went there to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The waiter was theatrically impressive. The food was outstanding. We tried many dishes, I only took a photo of the main courses. I highly recommend the octopus for a starter. For the main we had the lobster pasta, meatballs, steak and side dishes. Great for romantic dinners and for outing with friends.

john Dickerson: Reservation required, proof of covid vaccination with ID valet available $20. Service was outstanding John was our waiter, and he did a great job everything was swift and on time. The food was delicious, for appetizers we Truffled Garlic Bread Parmigiano-reggiano, 1/2 dozen half Shell oyster, truffle and parmesan cheese pizza, Big Eye Tuna Bruschetta Basil Aioli garlic toast, the main was Lobster Fra DiavolobCalabrian chili & tomato and Short Rib Bolognese Pappardelle, Rosemary. For dessert we had Tiramisu Whipped mascarpone & coffee.

Imani: The decor was nice. We liked our dishes but were not a fan of how soft the meatballs were. The plates were also small. We started off with a spritz for our drinks but sent it back because it was very sweet. We ordered a Paloma instead which was very delicious. The reasons for the star decrease was the hostess. We asked if we could move our table and she tried to explain the seating arrangements but made a condescending remark by saying “does that make sense” with a slight attitude which was very noticeable by the both of us.

Pi Pizzeria: what do users think?

Warman Hall: The group I was with while in Washington DC wanted to try this pizzeria. I'm very glad they did! I only have two options in pizza crust. Well I'm generally more of a fan of Chicago style than thin crust, some in the group had been there recommended the thin crust and I made the right choice. An excellent variety of pizzas and some really good tasting beer choices to go with it! All that and they have a family friendly environment also.

Kelly Lee: Very nice! I went in for happy hour. Bartender/server was nice. Garlic knots were amazing! But the deep dish pizza itself was little disappointing. It lacked flavor and the chunky tomato sauce didn't work well. The dough was very dry too. But other food was great. Speality pizza had a bunch of vegetables in it, if you don't like it you can customize it too.

Eric Meyer Music: Last night in DC and pizza was on our RADAR screen. Pi Pizza was close walking distance to our hotel so we gave it a try. Very glad we did. Friendly waitstaff had us seated and sipping very good Margaritas while looking the menu over. Nice atmosphere and bar looked like it would be a good place to be. They were out of Garlic Knots, surprising but they do receive high praise in other’s reviews. We opt for the dry rubbed and broiled veggies. These turned out to be a great choice, a nice mix of carrot planks, cauliflower and broccoli crowns all seasoned and charred to perfection and a solid starter for us, really tasty and accompanied by a cooling tzatziki type sauce. We ultimately went with a build your own thin crust pie, with basil pesto, mixed mushrooms and roasted garlic toppings. Wow, after the great veggies, this pizza was full of wonderful flavors. Piping hot with a nice crisp crust, just the right amount of sauce and cheese foundation to really let the other toppings shine. A really good pizza and we washed it down with a couple more Margaritas. Highly recommend Pi Pizza if you’re visiting DC and have a hankering for a great pie.

Christopher French: Amazing place. So beautiful inside. The staff is wonderful, friendly, professional, and helpful. The food is delicious with a number of combinations and pizzas where you can build your own. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Roman Pope: It's hard to describe the place without sounding pejorative, but it has these old hunter lounge chandeliers, old fast good diner tables with some 18th or older century portraits, brick walls and hip oldies meet new EDM music. Despite all this weird fusion atmosphere, the place is on the charming side. The service is nice and fast, albeit not the most professional at times from the staff that isn't serving you directly. The food is great, and the pizza ingredients are splendid. You can pretty much build anything your mind can ever imagine about what a perfect pizza is to your taste buds. I wouldn't say it's on the pricey side, but be prepared to spend anywhere between 50 to 70$ with everything included for two people. PS The place also does have a kid's crayons and kids cups so it's nice that it thinks of the little ones.

Adam Busby: Excellent deep dish pizza. Tasted great, service was quick and friendly. Parking is pretty easy to find in a garage or on the street. I have no complaints. Inside is huge and we waited 5 minutes to be seated after they opened on a Friday. Would definitely recommend if you are in the Capital for the day.

Kevin Cevallos: Awesome experience all around! Atmosphere, service, food and price were all great. Started with the Garlic knots, which I didn't think were gonna be that out of the ordinary, but man was I wrong. They were baked perfectly and were bursting with cheese. They had an amazing flavor and they were the perfect mix of cheesy, doughy, and crispy. For the main, we had the Western deep dish pizza. Let me just say wow, there was no complaints at all. The dough, sauce, ingredients and crust were all amazing. The crust was crisp and somehow crumbly at the same time, which was awesome. For desert we had the apple pie, which was just as top notch as the whole meal. Everything was awesome and I would come back in a heartbeat!

Chomar: Excellent service excellent food an excellent happy hour where local craft beers are only $5 an a slice of thin crust pizza is $4.50. Prices are fair an the deep dish Chicago south side pizza is amazing. The environment is clean and the waiters are always friendly an serve you with a smile. I highly recommend.

Randy Cornett: This gluten free crust was fantastic! It has a nice buttery taste with a crisp bottom and soft, chewy inside. Manager and server were super friendly and helpful too! Beyond the crust, we enjoyed the sauce and great toppings on ‘the hill’ pizza.

Pat Eats: Located right next to Capital One Arena, this is a perfect place for a slice before a Caps game. If you’re looking for Chicago Deep Dish in D.C., Pi Pizzeria is top of the list! Follow pat_eats_ on Instagram for more reviews!

Unconventional Diner: what do users think?

Zeyu Hu: Went to Unconventional Diner for both brunch and dinner and let me tell you they didn’t disappoint at all. Brunch: Got three different items to share for brunch, and each was unique in its own way but complimented each other so well. The shrimp and grits were perfect. The BBQ shrimp had an amazing smokey smell which really made it stand out. The biscuits were also amazing, nice and crispy and the house made sausage was great. The blueberry pancakes were the fluffiest I’ve ever had, a great sweet treat to end the meal. Dinner: Came back for dinner a week later and it blew me out of the water again. As the name suggests, the menu has a large variety and when the waiter tells you you can’t go wrong with anything, they ain’t lying. We got such a variety of food - from French to southern, Chinese stir fry to Cuban. It just all works so well. Bottom line: A must visit if you are in DC. The best wait staff and service. But remember to book ahead!

Claire Mizutani: Went out to dinner with my family and a friend from school. Great food! I really enjoyed the mezze and the Mac n cheese. Speedy service and great labeling on the menu for those with dietary restrictions. I wish that the outdoor seating area had heaters but now that the weather is getting warmer that may be less of an issue

Christopher Guarin: Was in town to check out the Cherry Blossom Festival. We made a point to stop in for some brunch before walking all over town. We were definitely not disappointed. Everything we tried was delicious! From the drinks, to the Everything Lox, and Chicken and Waffles....every bite was amazing. We will be back for more on our next trip!

Eric Lee: Got the cheeseburger and fried chicken. Both were phenomenal. Simple dishes but everything was cooked and seasoned so well. Price for these dishes were affordable. Great vibe as well, pretty large space. Will be back to try more!

Queen Melissa: Wonderful for family outing , a date and friends brunch. Everything was outstanding. The cleanliness was good. The customer service and server was really nice. My kids loved everything and they are usually picky eaters. This was my first time eating shrimps and grits all I can say it was amazing. Overall,we were a satisfied family and will be back again.

Ben Multak: Unconventional diner dishes but delicious flavors. Everything I’ve tried here has hit and the restaurant itself is a well oiled machine. Highly recommend if you find yourself in the area. Really enjoyed the Crab Fritters and Fried Chicken

Sirius Fidelity: This was one of my favorite food places on my trip. The place was a pretty good size, clean, and bright. There also appeared to be outside dining as well. I ordered the kid size portion of the Blueberry Lavender Pancakes as pictured, and the Shrimp and Grits. Nothing short of amazing. Prices were reasonable and the portion sizes good. I highly recommend this place.

Christal Young: I love a place that has vegan as well as non-vegan options. This place was so good, I came back two days in a row. Their kale nachos were just superb and their cauliflower salad with falafel was also delicious and filling. The colors and ambiance are also nicely done. There are several dining spaces, including indoor and outside seating, each with its own vibe.

ReCreate Artworks: I found this gem about a 20 minute walk north of the mall. I cannot recommend it enough. There was plenty of seats, the staff was quick and efficient, and the restaurant itself was stunning. It makes you feel luxurious without having the price tag that usually comes with it. It’s very affordable but the quality of food is beyond the price. I got a double shot of espresso and the Brussel Sprouts with Fried Egg. 10/10.

Chunhee Hong: We had buttermilk pancake, corned beef hash, cappuccino and rise & shine. All delicious! The customer service and server were really nice. Overall,we were satisfied and will be back again to try other menu!

Tortino Restaurant: what do users think?

Adam Galazka: Amazing.....Amazing....Amazing. This place is a gem. They were very accommodating to my family of five. Service was amazing and food was delicious. For appetizers we tried mushroom soup and grilled octopus. Perfect flavor and temperature. For dinner we tried a variety of pastas and a Salmon dish. Again delicious and food temperature was perfect. Did not have to wait very long for food to come to the table. By far one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to.

Ally T: Absolutely love this place! Truly a hidden gem in the DC area. I come here EVERY time I’m in the area and am never disappointed. The kindest staff, amazing food and reasonable prices! So delicious! A must try!

Paul LaVigne: A hidden gem that deserves to be experienced by everyone. This Italian restaurant may be small in size, however the food is amazing. Some local DC friends picked this restaurant to meet us out for dinner tonight, and we are so glad they did. We started out with the Beef Carpaccio, Buffalo mozzarella, arugula, pesto, and spicy micro-greens appetizer. It is a light weight appetizer that packs a punch of flavor. For the main course my wife had the Saffron Taglierini with scallops. She says it was as delicious as it sounds. I ordered the Lamb Shank - Ossobucco style with spinach mash potatoes. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the dish as a whole was fantastic as well as more than I could eat in one setting, so I will be enjoying the leftovers for another meal. To top everything off, we had their tiramisu for dessert. It was very good. Next time though I think we’ll try the cheesecake.

Min Z: The dinner plates were delicious and well prepared. All of my friends loved what we ordered. The desserts were disappointing. We had two desserts, Calssic Tiramisu and Semifreddo - both didn't meet our expectations. If we didn't order dessert we would give the restaurants 5-star rating.

Robert Charming: Host didn’t know where to seat us. Then seated us and then asked us to move. I ordered the crab, they served me lamb. They offered a lettuce leaf to make up for it. Really underwhelmed. The food needs seasoned, from the bread to the pasta. The best thing I had was the wine… which they bought. There was also broken glass on the floor that no one attended to the entire time we were there.

Kale N: Great Italian restaurant that's close to the convention center. The appetizers were really good. The risotto was amazing. And the gelato dessert at the end was a nice way to finish off the meal. The staff was really friendly and on point with the service. Overall fantastic experience.

Peter W.: Great Italian place! We got the lamb ravioli which was exceptionally good. The linguini and taglierini was both good in its own way. Scallop appetizer was well cooked but a bit too salty. Would recommend overall.

Lady Abbo: This is a truly authentic experience of Italian cuisine! A very relaxed and intimate environment. From pasta to dessert a joy for your taste buds!

Gregory Edwards: One of the top restaurants I've hit this year . The staff were exceptional. You don't want the crab ravioli to end . Fresh Tiramisu is a must

Leopoldo Avellan: Grilled octopus very good, risotto with lobster and shrimp sublime. The Tiramisu was awesome. The canoli were average. Alex, our server was superb

Shake Shack: what do users think?

Katie d: I came two days ago and them burgers were hitting so good & the workers were so nice and patient. I just seen them other reviews like no this is a 5 star experience I had, like how can milkshake even be melted? Yes I’m throwing shade. These workers need a raise idc!! They working their a$$ off !!!!
Response: Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours!

Carson Peck: Solid little fast food joint. Burgers seem very legit and fries are solid. Fast food done properly.
Response: Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours!

Eric Cunningham: I am not typically one to write bad reviews, but I am thinking that management would want to know about this experience. We were in from out of town and I was excited to try Shake Shack for the first time. We just started getting locations in my city and I have heard it is excellent. We went to this location late in the evening on 4/16. The computers for ordering were left on all the way up until close and this was the source of the problem. Workers began closing early and became verbally frustrated with the customers still waiting on their food. An employee started mopping the floors without wringing it out, leaving large amounts of standing water on the floor without wet floor signs. Moving around was very difficult. The same employee said the bathroom was closed and another overheard and said it was fine. When we received our food, my significant other checked our bag because we overheard other customers getting frustrated they were being told various items were “out” after the receipt was paid and they had waited on the food. It was clear the employees had shut down various equipment and had no interest in turning anything back on. The same was with our order so she said something. The employee quickly snapped at her and began speaking very disrespectfully. Upon hearing this another customer who was also spoken to in appropriately stood up for my significant other and things spiraled from there. The verbal altercation turned into physical and it appeared a brawl was beginning. I saw at least one punch thrown and we quickly exited the restaurant to safety. All in all this was a very poor representation of the Shake Shack chain, and a very bad first experience for us.
Response: Thank you so much for your feedback. This is concerning and we’d like to investigate this further. Could you email us at feedback@shakeshack.com so that we can grab your details? Thanks, Jake

James Nelson: Burgers are good, chicken bites where soaked in oil, fries would have been good but not enough cheese and there was not enough bacon on them. Second fries had seasoning piled on top. Could have been done much better and it was not busy at that time
Response: James, Thank you for your feedback. It's disappointing to read that your meal wasn't up to our standards. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can get in touch? SkizzySami 2: I really enjoyed theses burgers ! They were freshly made and there were fast . This was the first place that had amazing customer service and actually got my order right ! I will definitely be coming back soon !
Response: We appreciate the positive vibes! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.

Alok Sinha: Came here a few times during my visit to Washington D.C. Had the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was really good. The service was fast and the staff was friendly. Would recommend coming here if you are in the area.
Response: Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours!

Get like me Reed: 1st time there. I got the shroom cheeseburger with the lettuce wrap, instead of bun. Very good, I'm not vegetarian but I could have eaten the shroom without the burger, because that was delicious.

Ryan Smith: I ordered cheese fries, a bacon cheeseburger, and a milkshake, and there wasn’t a single thing right with my whole order. Gave me just cheese and no fries, no bacon on the burger, and a melted milkshake with no straw. I understand one mistake, but this is ridiculous. Pay a fair wage and hire good workers.
Response: Ryan, Thanks so much for your feedback. I’m so sorry about the recent experience you had at our Shack. We work hard to make sure each order is correct, and we are sorry this wasn't the case this time for you. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Tracey Mangham: In the heart of DC its a popular place. Busy as expected so the wait was a few minutes longer than usual. Food is good and seating was plentiful.
Response: It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

Jade: horrible customer service. lazy workers. always on the phone. they act like they don’t wanna be there. I placed an order the girl at the front asked me my name. waited 20 mins. my food is as just sitting there. what’s the point of asking for names if you’re not going to call. won’t be coming back.
Response: Jade, Thanks so much for your feedback. We pride ourselves on our hospitality and work hard to provide a seamless pickup experience, so this is disappointing. Curry & Pie: what do users think?

Veronica Johnson: We were on campus at Georgetown University and looking for a place to have lunch and saw this restaurant on Yelp. We were not disappointed! The restaurant is pretty small but it really delivers. Most of the tables are up on the second floor but there are a couple of tables on the first floor when you walk in. The service was prompt and the food was amazing! We did a plate of the Chicken Momos (think an Indian version of potstickers), the Paneer Makhani (the sauce was TO DIE FOR!), and a piece of naan. The naan was the only thing we felt luke warm about - not that it was bad just that everything else was so good! Although we didn’t try it, we saw a few tables order the French Fry Chaat and it looked great! I hope you decide to try this place - you won’t be disappointed!

Critical Chris: We had tandoori tamales, which were a bit dry, but the chicken momos were better. The onion kulcha and butter chicken were a nice way to finish the meal. The service was excellent. The atmosphere a solid B.

Proficient Potato: Best Indian I’ve found in DC so far. There were a bunch of vegetarian options, but I went with the Malai Kofta which was amazing! The garlic naan was delicious, but not the type of bread I usually associate with “naan”. I ordered delivery through a third party app and it arrived early, warm, and well packaged.
Response: Thanks lots sharing your experience

Bernardo Mar: Delicious and affordable. We ordered the tikka masala pizza, French fry chat and saag lamb. As a lover of Indian food this fusion restaurant excellently blended dishes to create flavorful and unique dishes. The French fry chat had delicious sauces and chutney. ( highly recommend) The staff was very friendly and the environment was very cozy and college student friendly. Only think I would improve are the tables, the old wooden tables were sticky.

Jameela Ayoub: The best South Asian food I've had in DC! If your thinking about coming here please do! If you weren't thinking about coming here, please start thinking and come here. Their naan, was buttery and beautiful. Their curry was chef's kiss. I reccomend their chicken tikka masala, it's really good!

Chiara: Innovative, comforting, delicious! Amazing Indian fusion in Georgetown. We got: • the French Fry Chaat (pictured) • Chicken Tikka Masala with Basmati Rice • Garlic Naan • Lamb Vindaloo Curry Pizza Pie • Milk tea I can’t even decide which one was my favorite. Very reasonable prices and great service. We got to sit at a window table upstairs that looked out onto the street which was so pleasant! We’ll definitely be back and hope you go support them too! 🧡 @chiarascrumbs on Instagram

Megan: Very delicious Indian Pizza, very unique combination. But loved it! Only one staff member there at the time but he was very nice.

Rosa Cannady: Small place with charm. The food was good. Wish they would have used the Naan bread in lieu of whatever pizza crust they are using so it was more in line with the theme. The samosa were large and the drinks great.

Alexander O'Neill: All-around solid spot of Indian food and pizza! Would recommend the chat fries and tandoori chicken pizza

Alex Navarro: Love their food. The Indian curries are my favorite. I like that you can choose the heat level. I also like that each dish comes with rice instead of having to order it separately. While each dish comes with plenty of sauce, the dishes are often a bit lacking on the proteins. Having all the sauce to dip in though is great, so I don’t mind. My only other issue is how much the prices vary depending on how you order. If you go there prices are lower. If you order for pick up they are a little more. If you order take out they can be a few dollars more per dish. I’d rather them just charge a flat delivery fee than increase the prices of each dish. It feels a bit like you’re getting ripped off. The prices are good though compared to other Indian food in the area. Pick ups also took much longer than expected.

The Palm - Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Janice L: Things started put rocky initially because we weren't greeted by anyone on the front, we went around looking for an employee. But after that, our waitress was amazing! I forgot her name, but she was a very tall female with blondish brown hair, loved her! It was our first time there and she was amazingly helpful with the menu. The oysters, steak and salad tasted amazing. It was the first steak I've ever had at a high end restaurant that WASN'T chewy!! We ordered the NY style cheesecake and chocolate cake for dessert. The cheese cake was a bit too sweet for me, but my fiance loved the chocolate cake. Really glad we decided to stop by here during our weekend stay in DC.

Cindee Sheeler: First time visiting for a friends birthday..Was absolutely amazing. Reggie and the staff were attentive, knowledgeable and very personable. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Upscale dining with an old world vibe, but not stuffy and pretentious. Reggie and a staff member sang to my friend for her birthday and they were wonderful..

Ryan Arnt: Great food, eclectic atmosphere a Steakhouse that sets the bar high. If you get a chance make sure you eat here.
Response: Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. It means so much when our customers share their experiences. We are glad we were able to meet your expectations! We hope to see you again soon!

rob santiago: It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing wines, food and service. Kylie was extremely knowledgeable and made great recommendations. She understood exactly how I wanted a monkey shoulder rusty nail and that nailed the night for me. I will be back.

Marie A Smith Robinson: The atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant. The walls are filled with cartoon sketches of notable people. I would not recommend the seafood dishes, we had the calamari and lobster bisque, they were subpar. We sent back the calamari and the lobster bisque was barely warm. Raisin bread was phonmenal. The steak was excellent mashed potato and asparagus accompanied it well.

Jessica Kelley: Requested a high top, and mentioned a true dairy allergy.. aka anaphylactic shocked and they didn’t Acknowledge either.. even though I made a reservation & made sure to mention this. Also was told to bad we are busy for my high top. My drinks took 20 minutes to get as well! Not a good place for date night unless you want disappointment

Nicole Deloney: The chicken parmeson is probably the best I've ever had. My friend had the steak medallions and they were a little spicey but good to me because I love spicey food. Service was good and prompt.

André Hentz: The service, food, and ambiance is fantastic. We recently celebrated our anniversary at The Palm, and will dine there again for sure.

Andre Monette: Zero stars, very disappointed with my experience here. Called at 8:30 to get a reservation and arrived at 8:45 to be told they close at 9:00 and they could not seat 4 people because they are closing. Really not what I would expect out of a place that bills itself as a go to steak house. Food is mediocre at best, will not return. Bummer because I used to enjoy it pre-Covid. This is the worst review I have ever given.

Gentle John: Good food as you would expect. Our waiter seemed a bit distracted
Response: Thank you for your review. We’re glad you had a good experience and hope to see you again soon!

Kinship: what do users think?

Andrea Bindewald: My husband and I celebrated our 16th anniversary dinner here this week. We had an awesome time. The service was amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect. Great lighting, good background music, and the restaurant was cozy but not overcrowded. The food and drinks were top notch. Paced well. The plating was beautiful and the various combinations of flavor profiles was really interesting and delicious. Highly recommend making reservations as they book up sometimes a week out. Only open Wed-Sun

Guilherme Montassier: The ambiance is very modern and light. It feels like you are in an art gallery waiting for new paintings to arrive, in between exhibits. The food is definitely above your average restaurant, with well thought flavor combinations and lovely presentation. Most of the dishes did not dazzle me, but the kinship roast chicken is a delight. Roast chicken done to perfection. I was also very surprised by the black forest cake. Overall a good experience, but am not planning a return for now.

Shannen: One of the best dinners I’ve had in DC to date! My boyfriend took me here for my birthday, and there was a little handwritten birthday note at the table when we arrived. Food was amazing; we truly loved everything we ordered (the potatoes served with the ribeye were too salty, though). Drinks were good too. Service was awesome, and I wish I could remember our main server’s name, because he was incredible. In summary, I highly recommend this spot for your next special occasion!!

Caroline G.: Maybe we came on a bad night? We came here on a Wednesday and overall just didn’t meet expectations. Presentation was always nice but the actual taste fell short. Drinks were underwhelming. The wait time between courses was excessive. Can’t remember all the names but we got a salad, ravioli, lobster French toast, lamb, halibut, peanut butter and pistachio desserts. The salad was odd and aside from the sauce not very appetizing. Pasta definitely fell short. Lobster French toast, as odd as that sounds, was the star of the night. Lamb was very dry and the toasted bread on top was soggy on the underside which ruined the texture they were going for. Just poorly planned dish all around. The halibut was confusing because yes, it was delicious and poached perfectly… but then it was 100% over staged by the curry. I enjoyed the dish I just can’t understand why they would choose to drown out such a beautiful piece of fish. I might as well have been eating potatoes, all I could taste was the curry. The desserts were hands down most disappointing. The peanut butter looked like a Kind bar was cut in half then they paired it with a spoonful of ice cream that just didn’t go. I think I would have rather ate a Kind bar. 3/10. The pistachio one was even worse as literally nothing alone or together was appetizing aside from the red sauce which we got 4 drops of. We were trying to figure out if there was something gone bad in the white sauce or if that was the taste they were going for. Our server insisted the pistachio was their best dessert so that was alarming. Speaking of server he was nice but just incredibly awkward and I felt like I was at a car dealership instead of a fine dining establishment. Everything here was just strange and missed the mark for me. Definitely wouldn’t return but given the other reviews I’m just thinking we might have come on an off night with B staff.

Shannon T: 2.5 stars. It’s just a regular fine dining place. Soup lukewarm. Bread soft and cold. No butter selection ( not Michelin level). The shrimp appetizer was odd - it was bland. The duck breast- we had way better one in Baltimore. The prime beef and foe grais were great! The lobster toast was delicious but texture wise was just sloppy. The overall presentation of food was very very normal. Only the server was smiling but none of the other waiters or waitresses were; one even sighed when serving us soup. In sum, service wasn’t even at fine dining level. This place is just okay for a regular fine dining and pricing, but certainly didn’t get a passing grade for a Michelin star restaurant for its food presentation, quality and service.

Kaitlin Wolfford: We were beyond pleased with our experience at Kinship. We were promptly seated upon arrival and the menu was explained to us. Drinks and food all came out in a very timely manner. We ordered the following: Puree of Brussels Sprouts Soup Lemon Crusted Filet of Halibut Slow Roasted Lamb Shoulder Unfortunately I can't remember what the other dishes were called because this was a few months ago and the menu has been updated since then. Everything was excellent but the soup, the lamb, and the dessert were the stars of the night. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a nice night out.

Manda B: Best dining experience of my life. We had an incredible amount of fun. And if Matthew is your server, consider yourself incredibly incredibly lucky Lobster French toast 👌 Duck dish. 👌 Carrot cake... Killed us ♥️👌♥️👌

luci wang: Appetizers are amazing. Entrees are good but not as good as the appetizers. The roast chicken for the table is very big. If you're planning to get that for the table, skip out on entree so you'd have room for dessert

Andrea Martin: I’m not sure where the Michelin star came from- plating was beautiful the food fell flat. The seasoning on the food items was either way too much or not enough and they only seem to have salt- the duck breast was bland- the ribeye was a great cut but still not cooked to perfection. I am probably most impressed but the thumb fat asparagus tips that were tender. Left feeling underwhelmed and as though I overpaid for the meal and experience. The service was also underwhelming- I had to fill my own water glass the entire time and we ran out of water on the table and were never brought more. I also had to ask for a drink menu.

Rebecca Kaufman: One of my favorite places to eat in DC. Is it expensive? Yes. Expect to spend about $100-$150 a person if eating well and drinking cocktails or glasses of wine. However this is one of the few places that you will never be disappointed with the quality of food, service, and general atmosphere. It is absolutely worth every penny spent.

The Pig: what do users think?

Sam M: One of My favorite BBQ restaurants in DC. I visited this place several times and really had a great experience. This place could get pretty busy during the weekend dinner service, so I would definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Inside of the restaurant was relatively clean and had enough seating for big groups. Pretty much all the dishes I tried here were delicious, but my favorite was pork chops and smoked ribs. They also have an extensive drink and dessert menu. I really loved their strawberry shortcake. It literally melts in your mouth. Servers were very friendly and attentive during the whole dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant for some good BBQ!

Lord Edwin Carreon: I really like The Pig. I’ve been 3 times (once pre-COVID-19 Pandemic and twice in the Pandemic) and have consistently enjoyed my experience. At its core, The Pig is a barbecue joint. It does offer some upscale and fancier items, which I like. The hi-low effect is well done at The Pig. The dining room is dimly lit and cozy with its wood booths and industrial finishes. The addition of the patio offers a more casual outdoor experience. Some of my favorite items include their St. Louis Smoked Ribs and Brisket Ragu. The ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender and perfectly smoked and sauced. Honestly, the side dishes are nice accompaniments, but don’t necessarily augment the dish. The Brisket Ragu is a perfect hi-low dish offering tender chunks of smoked brisket in a delicate, unctuous tomato and red wine sauce that beautifully coats chewy tagliatelle pasta. My favorite item on the menu is the Heritage Shank. (“12-hour confit pork shank, Yunnan potato puree, leafy spinach, roasted garlic and ginger gastric [sic].”) It’s a special dish that offers a generous portion of tender and juicy pork whose taste is amplified by the side dishes. The ginger gastrique is exceptional and balances the fatty richness of the pork. I will say, like many restaurants after these past two years, The Pig’s menu has shrunk. I really miss some of their signature items, like their bone marrow appetizer. They were unique, exceptionally delicious dishes that should return. Moreover, the portion sizes have definitely gotten smaller. Lastly, service 2/3 of the times I’ve been have been stellar, with attentive and kind wait staff. The other time I’ve been, our server was nice enough, but forgot several things we asked for (an alteration to a dish, ordering another drink, and bringing us more napkins).

Beverlyn Salva: Okay, here me out. If you or your partner haven’t eaten anything since breakfast and HAS been walking around DC ALL day and you’re looking for some food to eat? I’d recommend the Pig! My boyfriend and I have made a list of food places to go before going on our trip and so we can just pick and go.They have some great appetizers and entrees, drinks are delish, dessert is also delish… but what really amazed me is our server Kima. She was super knowledgeable, blissful, great personality and her customer service is on point. That’s what I usually look for when eating out. We love to eat but we also like to know what the front of house can do to make our dining experience better. :) Thank you Kima and the Pig (DC).

Anna: It's simply ok BBQ place. We tried the chicken and the BBQ platter - especially the second one was a good idea to see different options.

Joel Pagett: I enjoyed a fantastic meal in The Pig, and I would have no hesitation recommending it to others. The Bao Buns to start were incredible, and the Pork Shoulder steak was sensational as well. Certainly worth a visit if you’re in Washington and looking for a delicious dinner.

Rae Elle: The saddest excuse for bbq I've ever seen. My "smoked brisket" was neither smoked nor fresh. The server said the cornbread was great and fresh. Two big lies. Suffice to say I'll never return. My meal was so upsettingly disgusting I only took one bite. Other people at my table tried it too and confirmed it was rubbish on a plate.

Chrissy Hernandez: The food here was amazing...we had a lil but if everything. They could use more variety in the drinks menu but not a big deal. 2 must haves, the sticky wings and the cornbread!!! The cornbread is by far the best I've ever tasted!!!!

Ben Multak: Good flavors but not my favorite BBQ I’ve ever had. Federalist Pig has better BBQ but the ambiance of this place is much bette. Drinks were also very good and they are able to accommodate large groups.

Columbia City Bouquet: We come here every time we are in town. The cocktails are delicious. The food is super tasty. And we always have a blast with our waiters/bartenders- this time Michael was especially fun. Don’t go in thinking it’s going to be the best barbecue you’ve ever had straight from Austin, but it will surely be delicious. Eat the Brussels sprouts.

Tom P: I guess I'd call this place upscale BBQ. There's a medium sized dining room and a big bar. They have a huge bourbon and whiskey selection. We sat at the bar, and Mallory was super nice and gave us top notch service. We had the smoked ribs platter, and the smoked brisket platter. Both were delicious. The cheddar cornbread with honey butter was amazing, and the peach habanero BBQ sauce served with the brisket was insane. For the two of us, with no appetizers or alcoholic beverages, the check came to $60, so it's not cheap. In terms of quality, the food wasn't much better than a chain place, like Mission BBQ, but in terms of flavor and creativity, it's so much better. Would definitely go back. Parking in the area can be hard to find, especially on weekends. Reservations are highly recommended.

MI VIDA: what do users think?

Ben Vance: The staff (especially the hostess) were extremely nice and accommodating. We originally sat outside but realized it was getting too cold for us. So she found us a spot we could move inside which was an excellent, warm spot. The food was very good as well as the margaritas. Recommend checking it out.

Shriya Amit: We were planning to get some appetizers and landed in this restaurant accidentally. Happy hour is served only at the bar and it was full. So we ended up at the booth. Great ambience but okay food. Had ceviche and fish tacos with a cocktail. Our server kept saying you must try our “MOST DELICIOUS Guacamole”, don’t fall for it. It was freshly made but I make much better guacamole. My husband loves guacamole so he always orders it but $14 for a small bowl, not worth it.

Joe Hughes: Mi Vida was exceptional. The service was great as well as the food. This is the first place I have ever seen a hand blow dryer actually in the sink of the wash room. Outside on the wharf was beautiful. Don't be shocked at the bill, you kind of expect it to be a bit high in such a beautiful environment and for what you get.

DEZAREE JOHNSON: Mi Vida is now my favorite place to dine. I honestly have been there 3 times in the past week. The staff is always amazing and very patient with me lol. I can’t remember my first waitresses name but the last two times I had Wendy And Louise with his fine self. It sits right on the water. So there’s an amazing view. I will forever be a customer at this place.

Jim Haynie: This is my favorite lower cost food for happy hour. The prices on Taco Tuesday can't be beat! I love the food too. The also offer 3 floors of dining with a bar on the 3rd floor as well. Happy Hour is 4-6pm and lunch specials are great too!

CLAUDIA Arroyo: Could've been 5 Star but Mr Nestor was very rude when I was asking him a question first time here travel from Chicago and wanted to know about the restaurant and he shush me and ignore my question although never bother to come back and ask me if everything was fine gave other customers more attention and he completely ignored me and my party also another lady was very rude when I ask her where the bathroom was..... Food was amazing but unfortunately the service you get from the waiter Mr Nestor P kill the mood People this restaurant has an amazing shrimp cocktail 😋 I wish they can work better in customer service specially the waiter personal. There was a busser girl by the name of Maria she is the only person that gave us quality customer service and attention she should be the waitress 😉

Eric Lee: Prompt Seating, waiter very attentive. Food from, appetizers to dinner, very fresh. Food was tasty, guacamole fresh, chips and salsa also no complaints. Price average+ (pp) for location. Won’t be disappointed in taste, service and wait.

Tahoma Lewis: Had an excellent time at lunch. Our waiter was prompt, courteous and knew the protocol for removing flatware and dinnerware. This place has proven itself again to be a nice place to go for a fantastic meal.

Angel Fross: Pretty good! I definitely enjoyed my experience, but it wasn’t the absolute best food I’ve had, especially for the price. This is a good place to try once, but I don’t think it’s worth a second visit. Just not super notable, but the food is alright!

Leah Underwood: Yummy Mexican food with Happy Hour if you sit at the bar. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t serve happy hour for dine in. Beautiful scenery along the wharf. Known for their margaritas and guacamole. Everything is pretty much ala carte including the chips and salsa. Large bar when you enter with many delicious food options including a children menu.

Carmine's Italian Restaurant - Washington D.C.: what do users think?

feranda smith: The portion size of this place is HUGE! Good thing is they serve lunch sizes all day for certain items. Lasagna wasn’t one of those so this was definitely dinner and lunch for the next day. Food wasn’t bad, however, you could taste that everything basically comes from a can. Taste a lot like chef boyardee. Drinks were a bit too sweet but not terrible. The highlight was their garlic bread! Now that was amazing!!!! I could just sit, eat that, and be extremely satisfied

Albert Jonathan: Looking for an Italian food in the downtown area, and found this decent Italian restaurant. Overall, we had a great dining experience. The server was very friendly and professional, she started by explaining a few things about the restaurant and told us that the food is supposed to be shared by 2-3 people per portion. Foods taste great and the price is reasonable.

Mark Michael Blue: Great food, however for less than 3 or 4 people not well suited. The only regular tables are available for a menu that only serves family-sizes. So if you go there alone as I did, you either have tons of leftovers or ruin every diet you’re on - also, whatever you order apart from drinks comes multiplied by 4 basically and costs accordingly. So ordering a simple garlic bread sets you back 15 USD and you get like 9 pieces. No issue if you sit at the bar to get human-sized portions, however it tainted the experience a little. Nonetheless, the food was gorgeous and the staff great!

Shad Kearns: Excellent Italian restaurant! We had a great dining experience. The server was very friendly and professional, she started by explaining a few things about the restaurant and told us that the food is supposed to be shared by 2-3 people per portion. Foods taste great and the price is reasonable.

Luke Meyers: Restaurant had a good feel to it. Located in heart of DC. Food was very good and the size of portions family style. Family of 4 and we just did sides, glad we did, plenty for the empty stomachs after walking the Mall and plenty to bring back to the hotel. Place was packed and full of people. Meatballs and eggplant made the family happy. For post dining though not on the menu, a few glasses of limoncello, only the Italian might ask. Food was priced for area.

Mike Olson: First time dining and didn’t realize it’s family style but luckily I’m old enough to sit at the bar where smaller portions are offered. Ordered the Rigatoni with Broccoli and Sausage with a Red Sauce. It was a busy Saturday night and the food took longer to arrive than I’d have liked but once it did I was instantly impressed and very satisfied with the meal. Also worth mentioning that the service at the bar was exceptional and truly professional.

Kim Nguyen: Carmine’s offers family style dishes. By family style, I mean big portions. We ordered a shrimp scampi with linguine for 2 of us. We couldn’t finish half of the portion. It was huge as you can see in the photo (the knife for size preference). Carmine’s is perfect for a family of 4 or more because you can get the most for the value. Reservation is recommended.

Karoline Melo: The place is nice for a family gathering. The dishes are HUGE, really HUGE, it easily serves 5 people. Just a tip: they serve half portion of the cannoli, but you have to ask because it’s not written in the menu. The food is tasty, the chicken parmigiana is one of the best I had. The cannoli was good too!

Kali “KK” Harris: Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! We went for a bday dinner and there was not one dissatisfied person at the table. Before I rave on the food, I must pause and give a huge shot out to our waiter, Morgan. This was customer service at its finest beginning with the hostess staff upon entrance. His service deserves a 22 percent tip so if you get him don't take him for granted, especially now and days were excellent service is hit or miss. Now as far as the food goes, you can look at the pics all day long, yet your eyes will still light up the moment they place those huge portions on your table. (Shot out to those guys as well carrying two arm length plates at a time 😉.) Drinks were delicious and not skimpy at all. No watered down drinks here. Aside from the big portions, everything tasted to perfection! I really could go on and on but I will end by suggesting you try it on your own. Special occasions should definitely be celebrated here 💯.

Joyce Griffin: So much food. Serve many portions. The courses were a great variety, salads, muscles, shrimp, fish, pasta, lasagne, fresh fruit, dessert, beverage. All you could eat. Went as a group to celebrate graduation. Servers were awesome, attentive and made sure we had extra portions if we wanted. Would highly recommend even though price per person was $70. It was worth it.

Filomena Ristorante: what do users think?

Patrick Young: I loved their Easter decorations! They really went all out and the decorations are more classic too and remind me of better times! Their bread appetizer with olive oil is very tasty and the wait service was impeccable. The waiter misheard my original order, but they quickly corrected it and got me my correct dish. Both of our dishes were delicious and had plenty of sauce. The dessert was scrumptious too! All of these were a reasonable price as well. If you are going out for a date, I highly recommend this place! It’s so far my favorite Italian restaurant in DC!

DC Explorer: Got delivery from this place after hearing good things and it didn't disappoint. The salad and foccocia are a meal themselves. The entrees are big enough to feed two people (entree pictured is half eaten). Pretty yummy Italian food, great quality, nice sauce. My favorite Italian place in DC is still the now defunct Dino's, but this place does a fine job.

A Smith: We've been here twice this month and loved it. The first time we didn't make reservations but they let us eat at the bar which was quite nice and the bartenders were awesome. Today is my birthday so we made reservations. It was quite busy but the service was still amazing. I'm quite picky as a New Yorker and someone who lived in Italy but I give this place 5 stars for the food, atmosphere, and service. A must see!

Jessica Lopez: The restaurant goes all out with seasonal decorations, this time around Easter time. It was a bit strange seeing so many bunnies but at the same time the over decorating is what many Italian grandmas do! Service was decent, not the best. Portions are huge so definitely recommend sharing especially because of the prices. The bread service with the olive oil and spices was delicious, raviolis were great and the eclair was so delicious and creamy, it tasted like profiteroles actually. Definitely recommend coming back.

Princess Good: I will eat at this restaurant every time I'm able to get to the area. I live out of state. The service was perfect, food was hot and delicious, and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The bread is amazing!! One of my friends had chicken parmesan with a side of pasta, the other had a salad. I had rigatoni with chicken. We all enjoyed our food! Oh and the meatball appetizer is worth every bit of $16 although it only comes with two meatballs.

Laura Ruiz: My husband and me went to Georgetown to celebrate my birthday. We couldn’t make a reservation for dinner, however, we walked in around 3:30 and after a 5 minutes wait we had a table. The experience in this place was unforgettable. It started with three different kinds of homemade bread, follow for fresh appetizers, flavorful entrees, homemade amaretto and finally the best cannoli that we ever had.

Anthony Stewart: Spacious, friendly and really amazing fare. The host was magnanimous and his larger-than-life personality makes one feel welcome and as though the food will be authentically Italian, and the staff do not disappoint. The bread and pesto were brilliant, as were the stuffed mushroom starters. The main courses tasted amazing and arrived at our table in good time, allowing us the opportunity to experience how the meal tasted at all stages of temperature. Really great experience and one that makes one want to return again and again (and I’ll be happy to oblige). Unfortunately, a cupcake bakery not too far away got the better of our appetites before we dined at Filomena, so dessert was not on our menu for the afternoon’s meal, but next time! 5/5 well-deserved stars!

Larry Smith: First time visit. Filomena from the front looked small, but the doors opened to a wonderful dinning experience. The food was fantastic and large portions. I'm an eater and had trouble finding room to put the last bite. I finished it off with the biggest piece of strawberry cheesecake I've ever had in a commercial setting. Great overall experience. I will return.

Gerri Goh: We sat down to very American Italian meal of fried calamari, bruschetta (not pictured), burrata caprese, octopus salad, shrimp in lemon garlic butter sauce, slow-braised beef brisket stuffed ravioli, cremini mushrooms and pine nuts in an unctuous sauce of browned butter and veal stock with cream, cheese ravioli with meatballs, and rigatoni pasta in vodka sauce with grilled chicken. We finished all the appetisers but had to do a takeaway for the pastas. It was a tasty and well-executed meal. It was also very rich, heavy and unfortunately left us with no room for the tempting desserts on display. Filomena was an overall good dining experience - dining where A-list celebrities have dined, the service is top-notch, the food is good and the restaurant gives you Godfather feels; it is however for me a once for the adventure and maybe never again sort of restaurant (unless it's someone's choice for a meal in future) .

Inma Guerrero: We loved this crazy place. Uber decorated with Christmas things and on the expensive side. The pasta plates are huge, I guess you are supposed to share them and the chocolate cake super decadent. Great service too!

Bombay Street Food 2: what do users think?

143 cry: Amazing ambience and even better taste. Everything was superb, my new fav spot in DC. The manager was even friendlier too and checkin about the service and share details about the other locations and the founder. Our server was amazing too, added last minute request to our order once we forgot to alter slider remark. Had authentic taste and flavor of all spices. It made our last day in DC worth it.

Amrith Sagar: As you enter this beautiful restaurant, the gorgeous Indian artwork and aromatic spices that fall upon your senses will transport you to the streets of Mumbai :) I had a delicious and flavor packed meal here a couple weeks ago and am still thinking about how amazing it was! I started out the meal with the crispy palak chaat and the vada pav appetizers. The palak chaat is a typical Indian street food that consists of deep fried spinach leaves that are topped with a sweet & sour tamarind sauce and a cooling & refreshing garlic yogurt. The whole dish is topped with sev, which is a deep fried crunchy noodle made of chickpea flour paste and seasoned with turmeric & cayenne! The vada pav was very tasty as well! It consists of spiced potato patties that were exploding with garlic, ginger, and garam masala and are wedged in between bread that is softer than your pillow. Its served with a side of cilantro mint chutney and sev for some crunchy contrast and was such a great way to start the meal! For the main course, I highly recommend the lamb biryani - you won't be disappointed! It had tons of tender and juicy chunks of fork-tender lamb. The rice was spiced well and was very fragrant as you could pick up notes of cardamom, cinnamon, cloves & cumin that it was cooked in. It was cooked in the traditional Mumbai method, with a raw dough lid and seal. The waiter serves the biryani and cuts open the dough lid/seal to reveal the steaming hot biryani, it was quite the presentation! The hot chai tea and decadent, rich gulab jamuns were the perfect way to end the meal. If you want to travel to India through your stomach, look no further than Bombay Street Food 2!

Rahul Agarwal: Loved everything about this location and restaurant. Some delicious food starting with palak chat and gobhi manchurian. Highly recommend malai kofta and dal tadka. Cheery on top was fantastic service, outdoor seating, and very welcoming host. I would visit them again

Diana Vays: Best Indian I've had in so long. The staff was also so sweet. We asked for a recommendation on the appetizer and it blew our minds, the crispy spinach with yogurt (name doesn't do it justice) was the best Indian dish I've ever had. Also got the chicken biryani and my husband raved I got lamb Rogan Josh which was different than I've had at other places but was deliciously spiced and tender less sweet than I've had which I enjoyed. Next time I'm in DC I will be coming back

Krishnaya Corbett: AMAZING AUTHENTIC INDIAN FOOD!!!!! (Not a paid review) If you're looking for an Indian restaurant that doesn't serve "Americanized" Indian food, search no more. The food was bursting with flavor and freshness. I ordered Vada Pav, Dahi Puri, and Ragda Patties. I lived in India for two years, so I know how Indian food is supposed to taste. The ambiance was pleasant and had vibrant splashes of Indian culture. The service was excellent! The food was served in a timely manner. I also liked that the kitchen was open and I could see the chefs cooking. Many Indians were in the kitchen, which usually indicates that the food will be authentic, unlike many other Indian restaurants which only have Mexicans cooking. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AUTHENTIC INDIAN RESTAURANT!

Rachel Murphy: Really good food. Had the pakora and thali and that was way too much food for 2 people- but we ate it all because it was delicious. Definitely spicy and the meat was very tender. The chana and lamb curry were my favorite and the least favorite was the chicken tikka masala that was a tad too tomatoy for me. Overall would return. Note - the food comes out very fast and the main course came out before we were half done with the appetizer. Next time I’d wait to order the main course.

Taylor Lockard: Loved this place! I had excellent service from multiple servers and the manager. And our food was very tasty. One of my friends ordered a sampler for 2 and it was awesome.

Murali Ramsunder: Good chaats and vegetarian options. Portion size was good and the ambience is nice. It didn't fully wow us but it was pretty good Indian food.

Venkata Rakesh Akurathi: Food is good taste-wise. However, they need to update their timings, especially on Sunday. After 9 Pm just takes to-go orders and does not accept dining in. This is insane. We have driven all the way here and ended up taking to-go orders.

Omicamy Myers: I went to this place when I was down in Washington DC with a few of my friends. The food was good, and they gave us a lot of food. The only downside is that the smell of the food sticks with you for a while, I recommend washing your clothes once or twice after eating there. They also messed up our checks and we had to pay in two groups. I’m sure we got charge extra.
