Jordan Tenenbaum: Update: Had a few rooms of hardwoods installed last week. Just as last time, Kaveh did a great job coordinating the job, getting the right materials (and fast!). The installers were prompt, professional, and did a fantastic job making it look seamless with our existing hardwood floors. Would highly recommend now as a repeat customer. Good customer service and follow up.

Farzam Tamami: Total home renovation and job done extremely well. We turned a full bathroom into two full bathrooms...didn't even know that was possible. The did a splendid job with my floor and paint for the whole apartment. The crew is very knowledgeable with any home improvement projects - they did amazing job with putting recesses lighting in my apartment. Kevin, the owner is a good guy and gave me a fair estimate for all the work. I highly recommend Floors on 14 for all your home improvement projects.

chunghsiang wang: I’m impressed by Floors on 14th for 2 main reasons: 1. Customer services. For anyone who had been through home renovations, you know how many surprises and delays along the way. I had to re-schedule my floor installation with Kevah (the owner of store) so many times! Kevah was always a phone call away and very nice to accommodate with my schedule changes. I won’t get this kind of attention and services from Home Depot or Lowes. 2. They did a wonderful job to install the hardwood. Kevah’s crew didn’t rush to install and move on to other projects. They paid attention to the detail and made sure the floor was done right. It looked great and spotless after they finished. Overall, I’m very pleased with my decision to use Kevah and his company to install floors for my condo. I highly recommend them to everyone, including my friends.

Paul Cage: BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT: I would definitely recommend District Floor Depot for anyone looking for new floors. It was a long time in getting this project done, but the wait was worth it. The staff was some of the most helpful and friendly I have dealt with in the DC area. When they came out for site surveys, three times because the scope of work changed, they maintained COVID protocols, and were prompt to get the quotes back to me. The devilry date for the materials, due to a snow storm, they contacted me to let me know of the issues. Installation was good and the end result was beautiful floors that have changed the look and feel in the upper level of the home. I will be contacting them to do the main level of my house when I do that project!

Lee Springer: Awesome experience! I had no idea where to get hardwood floors as someone who’s doing a renovation for the first time. District scheduled someone to come out that week to measure and talk me through the project. I went into the showroom to finalize my wood and scheduled an appointment in 2 weeks. They came when scheduled and finished the job in 4-5 hours for 250 sq ft. I’ve heard nightmare stories about contractors but district was great. Total cost was $12/sq ft installed. Highly recommend, I plan to use them for next project!

Andrea Wolfson: I am *SO* happy with my new floors! From start to finish, the team at District Floor Depot was fantastic. I had a ton of questions about the floors and how the installation process would work during the pandemic, and they were very patient at answering all of my questions. They also brought me samples so that I wouldn't have to go in to the showroom. In terms of price, District Floor Depot came in the same as the other large national company (which claimed to offer so many discounts). Their customer service set them apart by far. Plus, I wanted to use bamboo floors. District Floor Depot had many options and the other company had only 3.

Leah Evangelista: We just finished redoing almost all the floors in our new house with District floors. They were fast, friendly and easy to work with. They started and finished the job exactly when they said they would. They put two types of luxury vinyl in our basement and our sunroom turned office. Both projects are perfect, the floors are so well done and the shoe molding looks great. They also refinished an entire second floor going from floor to floor carpet to beautiful tiger wood floors as well as two staircases. The floors are gorgeous and they matched the first floor perfectly. They exceeded all expectations and Ever and his crew were great. Worked as clean as possible, were friendly and cleaned the house well after they were done. Gracias Ever. Its made our home so much more beautiful and functional for our family!

Tony Camilli: Competent, reliable and honest is how I would describe DFD! We did a major renovation of our house and shopped at 5 other floor vendors before finding DFD. Not only did the DFD team supply us with a great product at a competitive price, they did an excellent job installing it. We also made a few changes on our transition pieces during the install process and DFD was very patient, flexible, and cooperative.

F S: Excellent job replacing my flooring last year; easy from start to finish. Very nice Brazilian cherry and great installation as well as disposal/ clean up. There was a delay by a few days delay in finishing due to an underestimation in the amount of product needed but they did not charge for this. It’s supposed to be lost cost repairs too but I’m still waiting on the estimate for this.

James Brown: I am posting via personal, but worked with Capital Carpet through my job in project management. Last fall, I had to pick up a project needing completion by 12/31/22, and reached out to this team. Kavoos came by with samples and an amazing attitude. He worked with my stakeholders on a bit of designing and meeting their objectives and the professionalism was exceptional. During installation, the team was very professional and worked quite hard, delivering an amazing new look to our Class A NWDC office boardroom. Not only are my stakeholders thrilled with how well the design blends to our office, but the quality has been exceptional as well. Both on a professional and personal level, I highly recommend Capital Carpet. I will be calling this team first on my next project!

Christian Bailey: The Best Flooring Company in the DMV Area!!! As an interior designer, I have worked with a lot of companies but there’s something different about them. My clients and I came couple weeks ago for a one bedroom installation. Philly warmly welcomed us. She was professional and very sweet to work with. I told her to give us a ring and keep us on the loop throughout the carpeting as we travel a lot. Our carpet was backlogged due to Covid but she made sure somehow with the factory to get it sooner. She also kept messaging and updating me along the process. Our floors were beautifully done by Freddie. I appreciate the great work Will be uploading pictures on Yelp as well! A J: I received carpet installation today. The contractors arrived within the time promised. They did an excellent job and I’m very well pleased with my new carpet. They were professional and focused on getting the job done. I had expected them to at least stop and take a lunch break but they kept working so thumbs up to being dedicated. I will update my review within 6 months to let everyone know how my carpet is holding up. However, as of now it looks good. I’m confident the carpet will continue to look good. Patricia Antoneia Jackson: Great Customer Service!! walking in the store, which was quite busy, I was acknowledged by the front desk receptionist(Felia) and once available she listened and directed me to the exact carpet style I was looking for. Their measurer/estimator(Hamed) came to my house same day, emailed a written quote and within 10 days(special order carpet) the installer(Freddie) laid BEAUTIFUL Mohawk carpet throughout my home! The entire staff was pleasant from beginning to end and although there were some hiccups due to Covid related matters(vendor supply chain delays/labor shortage) Felia, Hamed, Freddie and the Owner were always pleasant. My carpet looks great, feels great for a better price than two competitors! First thing my children and I did was make “snow-carpet angels”! Thank you Capital Carpet! Lucille Washington: The people at Capital Carpet were outstanding. I purchased some carpet from them. They gave me the best service I have had for home improvement in a while. The two gentlemen arrived on time and worked non stop until the job was complete. They cleaned up all of their mess and left the rooms looking as they were before they arrived. I could not have asked for a better experience.

michael biddle: I had a great experience with Capital Carpet. It was a small job—carpeting a flight of stairs—yet I felt that I go their full attention. To be honest, the place doesn't look like much from the outside, but they have lots and lots of carpet samples on two floors. I made a few selections, and able to take the samples home. After making a final choice, I got a complete estimate of the cost, and was on their calendar for installation about 2 weeks later. The installers were on time, friendly, professional and fast. They made sure I was happy with their work before leaving. I am very happy with my carpet.

The Christian Socialite: From: Ms. Dixon Love my LVT floors and carpet. Capital Carpet LLC installed LVT and carpet in my house this week. Excellent customer service. Negin did an excellent job. She helped me to stay within my budget and offered me a good deal on LVT and carpet. The owner was nice and accommodating. The installers did an excellent job as well. They noted a few problem areas in the floor before installing the LVT throughout the first level and suggested repairs. The added repairs to the total cost was reasonable. They cleaned up the house real nice. Capital Carpet was recommended by a friend. I too highly recommend. 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Thank you Capital Carpet!

Sassy Sauce: I missed all of the after Christmas saw items. This location had a few products left over from Christmas but nothing I really wanted. Overall the store was neat and organized. I didn’t need any additional items for this trip, just preparing for next years holiday decorations.

Chaturbhuj bhojwani: Great shops for home goods, this is very big shop i have been going that HomeDepot for many years i was there very first day when they opened, biggest problem is coustmer service is very bad here i stud for help for more than 20 minutes before someone showed up.

Kev- keepingitreal: This Home Depot is very convenient if you’re in the Rhode Island/Brentwood NE DC Area. They offer a verity of products that can help you with your Lawn, Garden, Appliances, Painting, Outdoor Patio, Home Improvement, Cleaning Products, Tools/Equipment Rentals and many many more. I really Appreciate the help from a young male staff who was working in the Garden/Mulch area, he was very Helpful and Knowledgeable with assisting me with the products along with a young female cashier on the inside of the store. Now you can never get the help you need when you’re in the store aisles. Every time you asked a staff member who’s in the same aisle as you. Can you help me with something? Their reply seems to be, I don’t work over here and they don’t know who can help you..!!! Home Depot needs better training for their staff who’s working in the store aisles..

Jeff Rueckgauer: Needed a red 10 cup Brita pitcher. App says there is 1 in stock. Not on the shelf. 4 associates said they couldn't help but would page someone for the aisle. 10 minutes is more than enough time for someone to at least arrive, even if they have to look further. This HD had been really good for many years. The pandemic is no excuse for just unhelpful people and plainly unconcerned, inept management.

Rickey Anderson: I went to the Rhode Island Avenue store it was good. What would made it excellent if their stock was current with the website. They didn't have it even though the computer said they did have it. The item was Sphagnum moss. Happy that I was able to find a few other items

Bailey Cage: Unfortunately this was the first time I’ve been to a Home Depot where the staff was completely unknowledgeable. I had spent hours online trying to research the best products / methods for tiling my second-story concrete subfloor with no definitive answers, so I decided to head to the store and find someone to help me. Normally Home Depot workers are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, but whoever they sent back to flooring to help me seemed to know nothing. He was able to show me where items were on the aisle, but he couldn’t answer a single question about how to tile my floor or what the differences and pros/cons in products were. It was incredibly frustrating and unhelpful, and I ended up leaving with a couple hundred dollars of products I later had to return. What truly upset me is that I did some more research once I got home just to find out the answer I was looking for is common knowledge in construction, but as someone doing a DIY project, I just didn’t know what terms I had to search for. For a Home Depot employee - the flooring specialist - to not know this is astounding.

I am trying to get a door, but the store is unresponsive, the management is inept and provides no additional assistance, the associates are extremely slow, unknowledgeable of the products. The worst customer service experience I have ever had. I do not recommend this store. Please go to another Home Depot location.

Anna Lloyd: Desmond in the home and garden went out of his way to help us find something that 4 different employees had just shrugged their shoulders and said that even though it was available online they were probably out. Desmond knew exactly where it was and showed us himself, even though it was on the complete other side of the store. He really took customer service to the next level.

DAVID GILL: paint dept vert slow. When paint was done I was not told it was done. I came up to the counter and stood there waiting while emotes helped others. After 10 minutes he pointed at can. I said is that mine he looked at me like Duh.

Sassy Sauce: Great discounts on Christmas items as part of the holiday sale. I picked up Christmas stockings for under $5.00. There were fire pits on clearance as well. I like this location and they generally have the items I’m in need of for repairs or decorations, etc. The staff is very helpful as well.

Stuart Miles-McLean: I don't like all the self check out lines which are killing jobs. They did have things I was looking for in the wild bird and critter section, but it appears they need more employees -- all over the store -- to keep the inventory organized and properly shelved and labeled. The employees I did encounter were very helpful and friendly; it just looked like they need more of them.

Kev- keepingitreal: This location offers a variety of affordable items for your home improvement needs. I really appreciate the staff in the aisle for assisting me with finding items on my check list. At check out the cashier was welcoming and friendly. This store was very clean and offers plenty of parking.

Jessica Fullington: Today I went to the garden center for some outside plants. Yolanda was so very helpful! She was able to answer my questions, she even went and got me a cart so that it was easier for me to get the items I purchased to my car. It is so refreshing to have people who are pleasant and helpful at their jobs I will definitely come back to this location to get all the plants I need this spring! Marla was very helpful as well along with the young man who answered some of my questions about my plans. All around a wonderful experience!

goklt: Lots of materials here. Check out was fast. However good luck asking for assistance. Lots of associates are walking around but not helping customers. I tracked an employee down for assistance in moving materials from a high shelf to store level in the door section. He called two times for assistance to my aisle but no one came and he advised going to customer service. They called and still no help. Had to track somone down in a different department altogether. Crazy.

Chase Johnson: The employees here are courteous. But the wood cutting service they claim to offer is not available when needed. The store should just be candid that wood cutting won’t be available (or at the very least won’t be available at any specific time). I am a local DIYer (not a contractor). Before I bought wood I asked about cutting and was told it was no problem—buy it and then request a cut. I did. I was then told the lumber associate wasn’t available for an hour. I couldn’t get the wood (a single sheet of plywood I needed to cut in half) into my car, so I waited. After an hour, there was still no lumber associate, so the wood was never cut.

N R: Terrible customer service. Returning an item took 3 months of repeated calls to schedule a pickup and even when Lowe's had the item back multiple calls were needed to secure the refund. Such a hassle, so worth avoiding! The third party delivery service that they use doesn't turn up in the agreed time slots so it's very easy to miss them and then get stuck in the web of calls that are required to reschedule.

Annie Signorelli: I ordered a dishwasher with professional installation and the process from start to finish was completely nontransparent and unprofessional. The installation had to be rescheduled because the dishwasher wasn’t pulled down for pick up in time, and then when it was installed it was the incorrect dishwasher — not even the right brand. After several hours on the phone with the Lowes installation line, including being told multiple times that they couldn’t advance the process because they couldn’t get in touch with anyone at their own Lowes store, I called the store directly and was able to sort it out and get the installation rescheduled. A Lowes associate later told me that they don’t have the “luxury” of waiting on hold with the store which is what I had to do in order to ensure my order was completed. Finally the correct dishwasher was installed on the third attempt and I was told I could contact the installation line again to discuss compensation for the inconvenience. Again it took multiple attempts to even get an update on where my case stood, despite being told every time that I should expect a call back “by end of business” every day I called. When I finally got offered compensation it was for less than half of the amount I requested (I requested the installation service be refunded seeing as it took 3 attempts and I was the one having to set everything up because Lowes did not follow through). While I am satisfied with the product I am in disbelief at how difficult and unprofessional the process was with Lowes. I do not recommend purchasing appliances from installation from this store or using the Lowes installation services.

Elizabeth Ramming: Assistance was top notch!! The gentlemen working there were very polite and helped me a lot with specific questions. HOWEVER-- However, I needed lumber, a 1X6 piece. What they had in stock was WET. But oh! I found 2 dry pieces at the bottom. But alas, don't be happy for me. Those pieces were warped in both directions - both along the length and width. That's it. So, shut up and buy it, or fight DC traffic to go someplace else. Both of those options were the absolute WORST. Why was the wood wet amd warped?? ... Duhhh. How utterly stupid.

Nina Paraloglou: During the process of receiving quotes, Georgetown Floorcoverings was very responsive and very helpful. We ultimately choose to work with them because they seemed professional and experienced. We have curved staircases and were looking for a runner to be installed on them. The first time the crew came out was before the pandemic. Here are the issues I encountered during this visit: - One gentleman took periodic breaks for personal phone calls - When the crew finished, they packed up all their things and left, and did not provide me an opportunity to review the work - The work was sloppy, inconsistent, and in some areas -- dangerous. The rug was bunched up in places, very uneven in others, and not aligned from stair to stair I reached out to my primary PoC and they sent one of the workers to validate. He validated the rug had issues and would send a crew out. The same crew came back out (now the 3rd visit), looked at the scope of adjustments and determined they didn't have the proper tools and they would need to reschedule. Then the pandemic hit and everything was put on hold. I reached back out in November 2020 to see if we could finally repair the mistakes on our stairs. I was told I was on a holding list (with other clients) but they could send a crew out. I was frustrated they never reached out once they reopened, but was happy we could close out the project. The same crew came, with all the materials needed, and worked on the stairs. The main gentleman continued to take personal calls (mask half on) while in our house working on the stairs. Once they finished, I walked through each area and identified a more areas of inconsistency and was told they needed more material to fix it. It is now March 2021, over a year after we started this, and unfortunately we are not thrilled with the work completed. We never heard back from Georgetown Floorcoverings after the November visit to fix the remaining items and at this point I don't care to. I do not recommend this company.

Sky Mayhew: This place was so helpful! I was on a tight timeline and couldn't find any flooring stores in the area that carried samples of an eco-friendly floor I was considering. I needed to make a decision ASAP, and this place came through! If you're wanting to see what Marmoleum or other eco flooring looks like in a show room (or many other kinds of floors too), this is the place! The samples he has are full plank size too, instead of the tiny squares vendors sell online. The gentleman manning the store was knowledgeable and so helpful. His prices matched other vendors, so there wasn't a "Georgetown markup" or anything. He even let me take some samples home as a courtesy. We ended up going with a different floor, but I so appreciated the customer service and would highly recommend this store to anyone!

Joya Banerjee: Emerson did an incredible job installing hardwood floors in my condo. I couldn't be happier with the service! He was kind, knowledgeable, efficient, responsive, professional, and affordable. I had badly damaged, cheap bamboo floors and needed to replace them to get ready to sell my place. Emerson started work this Monday and completed it today, Wednesday, by noon. It was incredible! They ripped out 854 square feet of old flooring and installed beautiful new floors in 2.5 days. He even did underneath the appliances. Best of all, unlike most contractors, Brazilian Floors is based right in DC, so Emerson was able to stop by on short notice to bring by samples to choose from and discuss the quote. I highly recommend this company and will definitely do business with them again.

Tom Reiter: Don't know about the negative reviews, these guys did a great job on my hardwood floor. My old pine hardwood floors were cracking a bit. The first contractor I spoke with recommended putting a new floor on top of the old one, and would guarantee that would fix anything. Someone recommended these guys, they came in and actually, you know, replaced the old boards with new ones and finished them so that they're indistinguishable from the old ones. Floor is like new, very pleased.

Opera Critic: The salesman, Tom Monroe, high pressured me to pay my balance immediately which I did, yet despite three requests, Classic FLoors did not have the integrity nor courtesy to emailed me a copy of my credit card charge nor invoice that shows a zero balance, which I have requested three times and need for insurance purposes. Therefore, I would be very cautious doing business with such a company and consequently, could not recommend them.

R J5: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Horrible service. I usually don’t even do google reviews but I have never in my life been treated so poorly as a paying customer. Sold me carpet then told me no one was there to cut it. Made a promise to cut it by a certain time another day and when I called the representative named Leon said he didn’t know anything about it and it was nothing he could do, it would have to get cut another day. Leon hung up on me twice and was very rude. I will never shop here and will use my following on social media to inform them of the horrible customer service. If you are shopping around for carpet, do yourself a favor and scratch this place off the list. Modern Carpet can accredit this review to Moky, the representative that took my money but didn’t follow through on her commitment. And Leon who was rude and hung up on a paying customer multiple times with a very nasty attitude.

Netty: My salesperson, Ms. Moky, sold me the worse carpet ever. The carpet did not live up to its 5 year warranty of wear and stain resistance after 10 months. The dye in the brand name "Rock Steady" easily fades and looks horrible. Ms. Moky refuses to honor the warranty; therefore, I plan to pursue this in a legal action. Ms. Moky offered only $250 off another brand of carpet. My response: "Burn me once shame on you, but you won't get another chance to burn me twice." Modern CarpetOne will not get a chance to burn me a third time or any other customer as I have posted this on Facebook and plan to post my review on every website I can find in order to alert other customer to their unprofessionalism and the run around they gave me. Update: I have filed a lawsuit against Modern CarpetOne in Prince Georges Court on 10/23/17. Signed, Netty

While I was going to look and see what isle, there was another associate named TIFFANY who was next to the associate who I spoke with TIFFANY SAID THAT I PASSED 5 ORANGE APRONS BEFORE COMING TO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHY COULDN’T I ASK ONE OF THE OTHER PEOPLE WITH APRONS. I mentioned that I came to customer service because that is the purpose of customer service, to service the customer. I left and serviced myself in trying to find someone who can actually help me. TIFFANY SHOULD NOT BE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE IF SHE IS NOT WILLING TO SERVICE CUSTOMERS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Tony Johnson: The check out lines are a tad perplexing. No designated demarcation only an arbitrary queue forming on the right so potential confusion is created but relatively easily resolved. Aka. They use a lot of self checkout.

Stephen West: I highly recommend Universal Floors. Out of all the tradesmen i worked with throughout the construction of my home, the team at Universal was by far the best and easiest to work with. Their pricing was fair, they followed through on everything they said they would do, but above all else the quality of their work was unmatched. They installed roughly 2000 sqft of white oak in my home and over the course of that I met about 6 different Universal employees. Everyone of them was kind and respectful of my home and went the extra mile to make sure i was completely satisfied. I purchased a town home in DC and they refinished the existing oak floors, installed new oak in the rooms that had carpet, and installed engineered hardwood over the ugly tile on the entry level. The store manager, Mary, and all the staff were super helpful as we bought and returned wood until we got a near perfect match of new red oak in the kitchen to match already installed stained white oak in the rest of the house. There was a delivery mix up with a company LL uses and Mary personally delivered the correct wood to our house. Their installing company, Watson Installations, was also really good, professional and reasonably priced. I recommend this specific location for your flooring projects.

Kathryn Greenberg: Our experience with Arlandria this summer was not good. We had to have the team come back to the home three times to fix a broken board as well as put back together our closet. I’ve attached images of the cracked board we asked to have replaced, plus the first attempt at fixing it. A few days after the project was completed, we noticed a bolt was missing from one of our toilets and water was leaking on the new floors. We also had a broken light fixture and water damage on basement walls. All of these became additional expenses for us after working with Arlandria. We really had to advocate to have this project done correctly. It was exhausting. Having dealt with several other contractors for our new home in the last few months, our experience with Arlandria has been the most frustrating to date.

Fergus O'Brien: I am realtor overseeing a renovation project for a house in Reston and due to supply constraints I decided to check these guys out and I must say after a couple of minor hiccups they went out of their way to make things right. Ozzie, who was extremely efficient and helpful, helped me pick out some LVT and carpeting and paid us (myself and the co-project manager on the job) a visit to measure and show us some samples. Within a few hours Ozzie was able to get back to us with 4 (yes 4!) different quotes -- two for the LVT and the carpeting without installation and two with installation) just a few hours later... and it wasn't your everyday invoice either (every element of the job was broken down and clear) and the pricing was competitive. Sadly, the company I am working with on the overall project decided that their existing team had to be used for the installation and it went downhill from there. re pricing and logistics.. and in lieu of that I wanted to make sure that Arlandria/Ozzie's efforts to help were not in vain: Hence this review.

Paul Resnick: WE LOVE IT! After multiple visits to your Mt. Vernon location, multiple “take home” samples, and endless patient help from your staff, we chose floor tile. Raymond measured our floor and prepared the paperwork, Erich scheduled our installation, Rachel called with last minute reminder/instructions and Jeff Terry (a magician of a craftsman) and his crew installed our magnificent new front hall floor. This is home number eight for us. We believe we have “seen it all.” When it comes to home remodeling and we can recommend Arlandria Floors to you without reservations. Lee Lynch: Arlandria Floors did an amazing job for what was not an easy project. We asked them to match an existing carpet, which was no longer being made -- they found it somehow -- and use a combination of the carpet and tile across the main part of our basement to create the impression of different rooms in one space. Raymond was incredibly helpful and the project went very smoothly and wound up being very cost-effective. It also looks great - we are thrilled!

Chad Morgan: Arlandria floors was fantastic and really helped me out in a pinch. I was finishing a project and realized that the shoe molding I needed to match was an odd size. I went to 7 different stores—big box stores as well as flooring specialists—before going to Arlandria floors. Everyone else I visited told me that the size I needed (3/4 x 3/4 shoe molding) did not exist and I’d have to accept a different size that wouldn’t transition well. Arlandria was able to give me exactly what I needed and the results were fantastic. Justin was extremely helpful. Pics of final product below. They custom made a perfect size and color match for me.

Scott Richter: UPDATE: Both Rachel and the owner called me to apologize and offer both a partial refund *and* for them to take the nightstand to their shop for sanding and repair. I accepted the refund offer but declined the offer for them to pick up and repair the nightstand. With how the last few months had unfolded, I was not confident that the repair would be done timely or successfully. I do appreciate them calling back and offering these, I just wish it hadn't taken so long. -------------------------------- The Good: The new carpet looks great and it was really nice to be able to talk to someone and see samples as soon as you walked in to the store. (As opposed to the big chain places.) The Bad: The installation team left a deep gash in on the front of a nightstand. (See picture.) I understand scuff marks on the walls are part of carpet installation, but a deep gash on furniture is not acceptable. The Ugly: The carpet was installed May 15th. Two months have passed and the scratch still hasn't been resolved. Although I said from the beginning that wax fills or markers still leave very noticeable marks, that is all Arlandria has offered to this point. I'm most upset about the lack of communication and that I've had to initiate contact for any updates. I have waited to post a review in hopes that Arlandria would consider other solutions, but after two months of following up with them I've grown tired of waiting. My wife and I chose to support a small locally-owned business over a large chain because we felt we would receive exceptional customer service. Instead, we paid more than we would have elsewhere, had furniture damaged, and spent more time than I would ever expect resolving what seemed like an easy fix. I wish I could've written a positive review for a business that's only a few blocks away from our house, but the next time my wife and I are in the market for carpet we will look elsewhere.

I'm happy that the carpet and installation was great, but know we could have, and should have done better. I understand the $500 refund we provided didn't make the whole thing go away and that we should have been better with communication, especially in these very difficult times for all. AndrewAndrea MartinezReynolds: We are beyond grateful and surprised that not only do we have amazing new floors - we saved $3000 in doing so. Briefly, movers dropped a heavy piece of furniture damaging the original 80 year-old floors in a high traffic area. Several highly recommended contractors estimated the repair of the wood floor would range between $6,000 and $10,000. At the same time, our kitchen laminate floors disintegrated so the combined repairs were going to require more than a week of work tearing out the entire wood floor and peeling back the poorly installed sub-floor in the kitchen to level it with the wood floors. Arlandria Flooring experts came in, discouraged us from destroying the floors, showed us why we could salvage our original floors, and accommodated our very narrow time-frame to get the work done. In the kitchen, the team reassured us it was best to install a high-grade waterproof laminate. They found a nice stone finish that matched the back-splash and tile work behind the sink. They installed it in half a day, even rejoining the carpeting on the basement stairs to the kitchen entry-way to meet architectural standards. In the living room/dining room where there was a hole and weak spot in the 80-year-old, original, wood floors; the team recommended against destroying the entire floor. The team recommended removing the damaged boards and true to their assessment, the sub-floor was in perfect condition. Other flooring experts had recommended we remove the entire wood floor - which would have proved to be a waste. The team toothed in new planks perfectly with very few face-nails preserving the look and aesthetic of our floors. The sanding was perfect to level the floors without any swirl marks or other inconsistencies despite the ⅛ inch difference in thickness between the new planks and the original floors. We were even able to pick a new floor stain and Arlandia floors provided new, large shoe molding to match the original installation, an adjustment that was made on the fly. None of these adjustments delayed the project and within three days we had new floors, beautifully installed, and exceeding all of our hoped-for adjustments and requests. I highly recommend Arlandria floors for your next project, big or small.

Nicole Billings: I called several local flooring companies for a wood floor refinishing estimate and Ozzie at Arlandria Flooring was the only person to answer the phone on a Saturday and schedule an estimate for the next business day. He arrived promptly and was knowledgable and friendly. That same day, my carpet installation with another company fell through while he was there. I was in a panic but Ozzie quickly jumped into “hero mode” by coming up with a great solution for carpeting on the spot. Within a few hours he brought me carpet samples and coordinated installers for the next day. Though I did not end up needing this company for carpet installation, they will be the first ones I call for my future flooring needs. Thank you Ozzie for all of your help!
