Ginkgo Gardens: what do users think?

Kristen Diaz: Just moved here from Miami & have been searching for a new fav plant shop. Ive explored so many & this one is definitely it! Great selection of plants at reasonable prices. They have an outdoor & indoor section plus an upstairs portion. I’ve gotten so many plants from here already. The staff is also friendly & helpful. Recommend.

Scott Nguyen: Some of the plants sold here did not have any roots, so what chance do they have in surviving? The other plant we bought was fine though, still this nursery need to either check their greenhouse or suppliers for rooted plants.

a: I finally had the chance to stop by Ginkgo Gardens, and it completely exceeded my expectations. There is a WIDE variety of plants, planters, tools, and more! During checkout, I told the man I was just beginning my gardening journey and he pulled out this book to help me with the plants I bought today! Thank you so much for the amazing experience and exceptional customer service. This isn’t the closest plant nursery to me, but it is 100% worth the trip. I will definitely be back soon!

Ashley Stewart: Ginkgo Gardens is a cozy neighborhood plant store where I get almost all of my houseplants and planters. They also have a wide selection if outdoor plants. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the plants are beautiful. Sometimes I just visit the store for some pleasant browsing.

Sheree P: I was recently in an unfortunately common predicament. My husband was on a business trip and my daughter was in quarantine from Pre school. So I was limited in what I could do but was also responsible for entertaining a busy toddler. During our time together, my daughter and I prepared our garden to plant vegetables. I was able to call Ginko, talk about specifics of our plan and pay over the phone. Someone even gladly brought the merchandise to my car. The customer service representative went above and beyond in taking the time to speak with me and my daughter about our desires and even researched a topic for us. I feel valued as a customer and will always come back for my gardening needs.

Siena Dante: Reasonable prices based on my past experience buying plants in New York City. Staff was really friendly and knowledgeable and gave me good plant recommendations. They have a good and varied selection as well

Alison A: I was very excited to come hear about hearing good things. I was looking for something particular that a friend had found here. I asked a long haired male employee for help, and he just told me to look around for it…. The place is huge with lots of variety of plants, so I wasted time because I couldn’t find it… with that being said, very poor customer service. Wasted my time here.

Lowe's Home Improvement: what do users think?

Sassy Sauce: Great discounts on Christmas items as part of the holiday sale. I picked up Christmas stockings for under $5.00. There were fire pits on clearance as well. I like this location and they generally have the items I’m in need of for repairs or decorations, etc. The staff is very helpful as well.

Kev- keepingitreal: This location offers a variety of affordable items for your home improvement needs. I really appreciate the staff in the aisle for assisting me with finding items on my check list. At check out the cashier was welcoming and friendly. This store was very clean and offers plenty of parking.

Jessica Fullington: Today I went to the garden center for some outside plants. Yolanda was so very helpful! She was able to answer my questions, she even went and got me a cart so that it was easier for me to get the items I purchased to my car. It is so refreshing to have people who are pleasant and helpful at their jobs I will definitely come back to this location to get all the plants I need this spring! Marla was very helpful as well along with the young man who answered some of my questions about my plans. All around a wonderful experience!

goklt: Lots of materials here. Check out was fast. However good luck asking for assistance. Lots of associates are walking around but not helping customers. I tracked an employee down for assistance in moving materials from a high shelf to store level in the door section. He called two times for assistance to my aisle but no one came and he advised going to customer service. They called and still no help. Had to track somone down in a different department altogether. Crazy.

Chase Johnson: The employees here are courteous. But the wood cutting service they claim to offer is not available when needed. The store should just be candid that wood cutting won’t be available (or at the very least won’t be available at any specific time). I am a local DIYer (not a contractor). Before I bought wood I asked about cutting and was told it was no problem—buy it and then request a cut. I did. I was then told the lumber associate wasn’t available for an hour. I couldn’t get the wood (a single sheet of plywood I needed to cut in half) into my car, so I waited. After an hour, there was still no lumber associate, so the wood was never cut.

Annie Signorelli: I ordered a dishwasher with professional installation and the process from start to finish was completely nontransparent and unprofessional. The installation had to be rescheduled because the dishwasher wasn’t pulled down for pick up in time, and then when it was installed it was the incorrect dishwasher — not even the right brand. After several hours on the phone with the Lowes installation line, including being told multiple times that they couldn’t advance the process because they couldn’t get in touch with anyone at their own Lowes store, I called the store directly and was able to sort it out and get the installation rescheduled. A Lowes associate later told me that they don’t have the “luxury” of waiting on hold with the store which is what I had to do in order to ensure my order was completed. Finally the correct dishwasher was installed on the third attempt and I was told I could contact the installation line again to discuss compensation for the inconvenience. Again it took multiple attempts to even get an update on where my case stood, despite being told every time that I should expect a call back “by end of business” every day I called. When I finally got offered compensation it was for less than half of the amount I requested (I requested the installation service be refunded seeing as it took 3 attempts and I was the one having to set everything up because Lowes did not follow through). While I am satisfied with the product I am in disbelief at how difficult and unprofessional the process was with Lowes. I do not recommend purchasing appliances from installation from this store or using the Lowes installation services.

Little Leaf: what do users think?

Ben Segall: Love this place. Got a rlly nice fern in a gorgeous handmade ceramic pot. The plant selection is awesome and they are rlly nice and helpful. Be aware: most of the ceramics and plants are sold separately. The ceramics are mostly handmade and therefore priced accordingly, so if you don’t want to spend extra on a planter pot I suggest you bring your own and have them repot it for you. Overall this place is a 10/10 recommend. Will definitely go back soon.

Melissa Pazornik: Eleanor was absolutely wonderful to work with! Her eye for arrangements and knowledge about each plant was phenomenal. The entire team made my experience so enjoyable and I am OBSESSED with the final product.

Ceci Moffit: The store was very nice despite the strong artificial flower smell. The store was also very small and not covid safe at all. The male employee was very rude and did not answer my questions. He also look as if he had more important things to do. I have never had such a bad experience at a flower store before.

R. Sims: I have purchased several plants from Little Leaf over the years and recently decided to get a larger plant for my living area. I ordered a Birds of Paradise to be delivered, but did not hear from anyone on the delivery date (Saturday). I got a message on Sunday saying the plant was delivered. I reached out to the supposed delivery driver who I guess contacted Little Leaf and received a message that the confirmation was sent early, erroneously. Ok, no problem. The plant was delivered today and I must say I am disappointed in the quality - many of the leaves are split and the plant does not seem to have been well taken care of. I am surprised by this and unfortunately will be purchasing plants elsewhere.

Holden Rhodes: Hands down the best indoor plant boutique in DC. There’s no other place like it. The selection is always excellent and the profits are high quality and extremely healthy, especially compared to other plant stores in the area. I’ve bought nearly all of my plants from here and there’s a noticeable difference in the longevity of the products purchased here versus chain stores. Staff is consistently helpful and welcoming and the aesthetic never fails!

Ms.: Nice gem in D.C. great selection of plants, all shapes and sizes. Great staff. Some items are great to give as gifts. Books, cards, pots etc. Loved the pot hangers

Lindsey Casella: Always love stopping by this gem. The plants are reasonably priced and the decor/design of the store feels like Justin’s Blakeney Jungalow come to life !!!! Here are my newest additions from the store, that I snagged for total of ~$25. (Note: care cards are included, which is ideal for beginners!)

Kristen Diaz: Shop looks really aesthetically pleasing but that’s about it. Not a great variety of plants & everything is wildly overpriced (plants & pots). Even with that, I expected at least good customer service but received nothing from both employees working there. Not even a greeting or goodbye as I left (even though I still thanked them as I walked out), let alone assistance with anything else. There was also only 1 other person in the store who left before I finished shopping around so the shop wasn’t busy.

Ms. D: Extremely poor customer service and overpriced. Last Tuesday, (Dec 21) the brunette female was cold, unwelcoming and her attitude/personality was off-putting. Especially, her tone of voice when telling people there was an occupancy limit as soon as they barely stepped foot into the shop. With how tiny the shop is, it definitely needs a limit for the safety of staff/customers during Covid, but there’s a much more professional and friendly way to communicate to people, let alone customers. When entering the shop, it felt like you were just a nuisance to her. I will not be returning.

American Plant: what do users think?

Wanda B: Shop here whenever in area & in need of flowers & gardening supplies. Orderly stocked inventory & courteous employees makes it a lovely shopping experience every time! Only criticism is they are a little pricey!

Tracy Needham: I think they have just about everything you need in terms of plants, herbs, etc. Staff are friendly for the most part. A lot of times you have to track someone down if you have questions. Parking is awful. I would never go on a weekend due to parking.

Kristin Dunbar: Wide variety of plants available including many species & cultivars not typically found in other garden centers.

Ericka Ward-Audena: This place has everything you need to start gardening or to take your gardening to the next level. I love to get ideas from simply taking everything in. 😌

John Weir: As always, that place is tight and packed, however the selection and quality is second to none

Karen Smith: Good quality plants, with helpful informed people.

REWILD Shaw: what do users think?

Aidan John Miller: Took an old, overgrown ZZ plant here for some help. Had the absolute pleasure of working with Jen, who was immensely helpful. She repotted the old plant in a beautiful fresh pot, added some foliage, and made it look healthy and happy in its new home. After my ZZ was given such royal treatment, I felt confident enough to buy some new baby plants.

Brenden King: The staff was amazing and so nice. They were great with my kids and answered ask their questions. They have a good selection of house plants but not anything rare. Over all a great experience and worth going if your in town.

Michael Rovner: The team at rewild is fantastic. On multiple occasions I’ve gone there to purchase a new pot, only for them to advise me that my plant is still happy in its current pot. I really appreciate their honest advice, which is why I’ll keep going back there for all my plant needs!

Rodger Brown: Extremely helpful for new plant parents. Most of their plants are tropical but the the staff is phenomenal at advising newbies on care, treatment and expectations. Come as a novice or a plant fan, and leave satisfied. But, come prepared to pay for quality.

Blessing Ikpa-Adjakwah: My FAVORITE plant store! I’ve tried others and none have been amazing as Rewild (Shaw AND Ballston locations)! The staff is so knowledge and kind, I’ve literally killed a plant (completely my fault!!) and they replaced the plant for me free of charge. They have an extensive assortment of plants at any given time. I love this plant store, they are one of the best parts about the DMV.

Yoliem: Very pretty store! A little pricey but understandable given the location. They have really unique plants that I have not seen on other nurseries before.

Urban Jungle: what do users think?

Ryan Ellis: I ordered a succulent garden to surprise my wife. The arrangement was awesome, but the plants were not doing well after a couple of days. I contacted Urban Jungle. They delivered a brand new garden and let me keep the old one. The new succulent garden is doing much better. Good customer service!

Caitlin Hone: I ordered a Plants that cost nearly $60 from this business in April and never received it (it’s now August). I was not refunded my money and I have never been contacted by the business though I have emailed and called and texted them. I understand that the spring was an incredibly difficult time for everyone but I was still charged money for a product that I never received.

Nicole Choi: I gave Urban Jungle a chance because of their prices, but I had a very poor experience with them. I ordered a plant to be delivered on Monday, and I received no confirmation, even through email, about my order being placed or an estimated delivery time. However, I know my order was processed because I was charged. During their business hours, i tried calling and texting, as they suggest doing in their voicemail, but I received no response. I have no way of knowing if my order was actually delivered or not, yet if I reach out to the recipient, it’ll ruin the surprise! I was using Urban Stems, but again, I have Urban Jungle a try because of their competitive prices. However, the customer service is so poor at Urban Jungle that I’ll be going back to Urban Stems.

Johnson's Florist and Garden Centers: what do users think?

Jesse Cowan: Terrific customer service today! I was greeted right away by a friendly staffer who showed me just the plant I was looking for and helped me pick one from 3 healthy specimens. Then another friendly staffer potted it for me, and when she understood it was to be a gift, wrapped it with pretty tissue paper. So grateful, and looking forward to coming back soon.

Dan S: Nice people working there, hence my not giving 1 star. We’ve had multiple issues of purchasing products from them that are infested with various pests. We bought a palm plant from them, to then find out it was infested with spider mites (to this day we haven’t been able to get rid of them, and have isolated our palm plant). We also bought compost from them on a separate occasion, to then find out (the hard way) that it was infested with fungus gnats. Our veggies withered because these gnats ate all the roots. I don’t recommend purchasing any plant products from this store, as they seem to have pest problems.

Bailey Price: Beautiful garden center that had everything I could have needed! Thanks so much to Eileen for working with me for about a half hour to pick all of the right plants and materials for what I was looking for! They turned out so nicely!

Andrea: This place is a plant haven. I would recommend going here over any other shop. The products are high quality, staff is friendly and there is a large selection. I got two small house plants and the staff had such good recommendations for my situation.

J. D. Rosenzweig: Great local flower and plant store. Much better going here than a big box store. Excellent plants inside for gifts. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.

M B: Good selection of plants and supplies. However, the cashiers, particularly the younger cashiers, aren’t very friendly. I felt as though I were imposing on their precious time by having the audacity of being a customer. No smile or friendly “Hello” or “How may I help you” for a greeting. Instead, I received an irritated “Can I help you?” from not one but both cashiers. It wasn’t packed, so I really didn’t understand the seemingly irritated or exasperated attitude. If said cashiers don’t want to help anyone, there’s a solution—QUIT! And don’t hold a position where one has to interface with the public! Needless to say, I won’t be back. I’ll do my shopping via Amazon. At least that way, I’ll be able to save time, money, and not have to deal with abysmal customer service!

Chanpen Tee: There are a lot of plants foe indoors and outdoors. Staff is friendly.

Good Earth Garden Market: what do users think?

Zdenka Cerruto: Called in one hour before they closed to make sure they had a wide variety of hanging house plants- they did! When I arrived I was immediately greeted by Anna and she pointed me in the right direction. I made my way to the outdoor plants and she was extremely helpful with those too! I came back over the weekend and the staff just continued to be really great/nice! My husband and I were very pleased and are so happy with our garden/indoor plants.

Lisa Phillips: Beautiful selection but unfortunately they do not honor the “guarantee” they advertise for pricey shrubs. I suggest going elsewhere.

Michaela P.: An amazing place to get your garden plants and more. Every time I come here, it is beautifully decorated by season. You can find anything from plants to trees here. The store even has a section where you can get small gifts. The prices are ok for Potomac, MD. The staff is always smiling and willing to help. They have a bouncing house for the kids to play in while you shop. Definitely worth stopping by!

Teres Wright: Nancy was incredibly knowledgeable and super helpful! She advised me on what to plant in certain areas of my garden for maximum success! Great experience!

Tiffany Booker: This place is awesome. From the variety of plants to the welcoming and knowledgeable staff, everything is top tier! The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The plants are well cared for and they look happy. They have a wonderful selection of pots, saucers and garden soils, as well as fertilizers and decoration.

Aram I: I have shopped for plants, accessories and many products at this location every season for the many years. I was Always offered the little 10% discounts on my purchases and always friendly people were there. But the past trip yesterday was very disappointing with two ladies at the register very unfriendly, On Thanksgiving holiday weekend :( I was embarrassed in front of family visiting from NYC and before going there I was Bragging to them how many years I only shop here despite many items being over priced compared to other nurseries in my area They lost my future business for sure! I WIll NEVER GO BACK THERE!

Natasha Shokouhi: Good Earth Garden Market is a wonderful neighborhood garden store! They have a pretty good selection of indoor and outdoor plants for being a smaller sized shop. And everything is super healthy! They also have a membership plan in where you can get discounts and such which is always an added bonus! The employees are wonderful. Super friendly and helpful. A beautiful shop with average prices but very reasonable for the area.

Greenstreet Gardens of Virginia: what do users think?

Kerrin Nishimura: Wonderful selection of plants including natives. Very knowledgeable staff and the prices are reasonable. The quality of the plants is excellent. They put a lot of effort into their care so you never have to worry about getting inferior stock. They do a pumpkin patch in the fall and have a great little gift shop with lots of cute stuff. I love coming here because I can always find something new and interesting to buy.

Kate Downs: Always well stocked , great deals, pleasant staff. Definitely a must visit for all your gardening needs. Great Xmas trees and poinsettias too when the season calls for it

Alisha R.: Thank you to all the staff for being so kind and helpful today, going above and beyond their job description. And the ficus they potted for me (graciously twice - I dropped it the first time) looks amazing in my living room.

Tailor Mayne: I’ve purchased many plants here over the years and my experience is always top tier. I love their house plants and they have the occasional rare table set up with all the goodies! I always stop by just to grab a plant with some character since they are at such a reasonable price or just for a peaceful walk around and look. Love this little gem hidden in Nova!

CB DCDiva: Tucked away and looking like a tiny hobbit hole, this nursery is much larger on the inside! With tons if options for inside and out, the plants were healthy and plentiful. The new veggie seedlings were in various sizes and good selection. Now parking? The tiniest parking lot offers free parking but it is hard to maneuver with lots of bagged products taking up spaces. However, if you need a variety of compost options, they have you covered.

Sarah Bennett: I just want to say this place is amazing. Their Christmas tree selection is beautiful. They have every size you could possibly want. We unfortunately had a leak from the re-usable stand we purchased and they even offered to come to our apartment and replace it for us! What amazing customer service. We will definitely be coming back in the spring in hopes to find some micro greens and other plants!

Carolina Sarmiento N.: This is the best nursery ever!!! We love the people who work here. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have beautiful flowers and the quality of their plants are excellent. We have never had a problem with any of the trees, perennials and annuals plants. We definitely recommend this place. Here are some pictures with their flowers in our townhouse patio.

Dan Solley: Had the absolute best afternoon picking out plants and flowers for our new flower box. As two novice green thumbs, we walked in clueless. But thanks to the awesome advice, guidance, and attention that was given by Scott, we walked out as complete experts. He helped us through the whole process, answering questions and teaching us and helping us pick out ideal plants for our situation. He literally spent our entire visit with us, up until and through the checkout process. I’m now a big Greenstreet fan, but an even bigger Scott fan!

American Plant: what do users think?

Stephanie Stubler: Like my favorite nurseries: a plant wonderland from the moment you walk in. I was on a mission for indoor plants so did not spend much time in the covered annual/perennial area, but it was very well stocked and taken care of from my quick outdoor tour. So many indoor plant varieties to choose from, a few I had never seen in this area. I will return for further investigation, for sure!

Linda Balon Stein: Bought Biotone here to amend the soil prior to installing new shrubs. Also picked up flower and veggie seeds. American Plant is amazing. It is a bit higher priced compared to other local nurseries or big box stores. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Ashley Robertson: Nursery hopping in DC, MD, and VA is a favorite past time of mine and so far American Plant wins my award for most beautiful. American Plant had a large selection of healthy looking indoor and outdoor plants. They have everything from succulents, to trees, to climbing vines, and roses. I picked up some pollinator seeds from the garden center, a trellis, and a Thanksgiving Cactus. The prices were fair and the staff were knowledgeable and available. I particularly loved their yard sculpture collection. Those were pricy but the design and quality were some of the best that I’ve seen. I had to keep slapping my own hands to not walk away with all their hanging plants. Gorgeous!

Paul Hudson: This store is amazing, it has a wonderful assortment of plants and very knowledgeable staff. Overall, I had a excellent experience walking around and finding the plants I was looking for!!

Julie Chang: Had a great experience! Amazingly helpful staff and beautiful selection. Ended up buying a bird of paradise and a beautiful pot. Numerous staff helped me find the best fit for my needs and even adjusted my car to help things fit.

Sara Corrigan: Come every year for our Christmas tree. They have a really good selection, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Hits all the marks for us! We come for gardening season too are always pleased :)

Liz T: Beautiful plants with tons of selection. Pretty reasonably priced for the location. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend engaging with them because they are also knowledgeable. We ha d a small bush not make it and they gave us no trouble at all to replace it.

David Feuer: Very helpful staff, large selection in general. I do wish they sold wild-type strawberries.

The Home Depot: what do users think?

Sassy Sauce: I missed all of the after Christmas saw items. This location had a few products left over from Christmas but nothing I really wanted. Overall the store was neat and organized. I didn’t need any additional items for this trip, just preparing for next years holiday decorations.

Chaturbhuj bhojwani: Great shops for home goods, this is very big shop i have been going that HomeDepot for many years i was there very first day when they opened, biggest problem is coustmer service is very bad here i stud for help for more than 20 minutes before someone showed up.

Kev- keepingitreal: This Home Depot is very convenient if you’re in the Rhode Island/Brentwood NE DC Area. They offer a verity of products that can help you with your Lawn, Garden, Appliances, Painting, Outdoor Patio, Home Improvement, Cleaning Products, Tools/Equipment Rentals and many many more. I really Appreciate the help from a young male staff who was working in the Garden/Mulch area, he was very Helpful and Knowledgeable with assisting me with the products along with a young female cashier on the inside of the store. Now you can never get the help you need when you’re in the store aisles. Every time you asked a staff member who’s in the same aisle as you. Can you help me with something? Their reply seems to be, I don’t work over here and they don’t know who can help you..!!! Home Depot needs better training for their staff who’s working in the store aisles..

Bailey Cage: Unfortunately this was the first time I’ve been to a Home Depot where the staff was completely unknowledgeable. I had spent hours online trying to research the best products / methods for tiling my second-story concrete subfloor with no definitive answers, so I decided to head to the store and find someone to help me. Normally Home Depot workers are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, but whoever they sent back to flooring to help me seemed to know nothing. He was able to show me where items were on the aisle, but he couldn’t answer a single question about how to tile my floor or what the differences and pros/cons in products were. It was incredibly frustrating and unhelpful, and I ended up leaving with a couple hundred dollars of products I later had to return. What truly upset me is that I did some more research once I got home just to find out the answer I was looking for is common knowledge in construction, but as someone doing a DIY project, I just didn’t know what terms I had to search for. For a Home Depot employee - the flooring specialist - to not know this is astounding.

jamesbowdenjr: This is the worst Home Depot is in the entire country. I am trying to get a door, but the store is unresponsive, the management is inept and provides no additional assistance, the associates are extremely slow, unknowledgeable of the products. The worst customer service experience I have ever had. I do not recommend this store. Please go to another Home Depot location.

Anna Lloyd: Desmond in the home and garden went out of his way to help us find something that 4 different employees had just shrugged their shoulders and said that even though it was available online they were probably out. Desmond knew exactly where it was and showed us himself, even though it was on the complete other side of the store. He really took customer service to the next level.

DAVID GILL: paint dept vert slow. When paint was done I was not told it was done. I came up to the counter and stood there waiting while emotes helped others. After 10 minutes he pointed at can. I said is that mine he looked at me like Duh.

Chanpen Tee: I came here for the kitchen cabinets project. The lady is so helpful and friendly. She takes her time explaining all the questions we have.

Logan Hardware: what do users think?

Paul Durbin: If you want service and quick check out go to True Value on 17th. Completely different experience with knowledgeable staff ready for you at the door who will help you and then check you out right away. 100% of the true value staff knows their stuff. Here it’s mainly people who will just check you out and don’t know hardware. This place has equally good inventory and later hours, but it’s not a hardware store experience. And for what it’s worth this is an Ace Hardware, which advertises on Fox News, should you want to avoid supporting Fox.

Jim Parrett: Went there to get glass cut and paint matched. l was pleasantly surprised how helpful and courteous the whole staff were. They were able to take care of what I needed so I could finish my project. Thank you!!!

Aja Navat: Friendly staff and large selection of things. It is two floors.

Jacob Goo: So this is super weird but they sell the best cream soda at the counter. I love ace for being small hardware with a little bit of everything. Thx!

John Trissel: Good hardware store! parking may be challenging. They have a good selection for most small projects and gardening needs

Robert Bolen: This store is full of caring people and fantastic tools. On two separate occasions, Jorje has gone above and beyond to help me find the perfect solution. It is wonderful to have a local place where experts provide guidance in a kind, nonjudgmental manner.

Lowe's: what do users think?

M.E.: It appears Loews is becoming more customer/purchaser friendly than Home Depot. In my search for a decent microwave, Home Depot had lesser known brands and almost nothing in popular brand products. Additionally, when we found a nearby worker in appliances department he immediately said, " I will be back in a minute" that turned into 15 minutes later. Another worker came over and assisted us for about 40 minutes with a kind & helpful manner. Finally, we decided to try Loews. It was different, as night and day. Several discounted Samsung microwaves were available right on the sales floor to sweep away. Check out had enough registers open with barely any wait. Workers were pleasant, helpful and customer friendly.

Victor Dugger: I practically live there lately. Fantastic customer service including fun and useful inventory. The lady that usually works in the inside plant dept is knowledgeable and patient. Look her up if you need help.

Shenika Buries: I received excellent customer service from Hannah and 2 other employees. They were very attentive and helpful when purchasing a lawn mower and other lawn care equipment!

phoebe lots: Had an appointment for someone to come measure my kitchen floor for new tile. They gave me a 1pm to 5pm window so I took a half day off work. At about 5:15pm I got a call saying the Lowes representative would not be here until 6-7pm. He never showed up. No calls, nothing. I’m glad this happened because I can only imagine trying to deal with them once a project actually starts.

Meadows Farms Nurseries and Landscape: what do users think?

M: They have a really wide selection of plants, definitely more expensive than your typical big box store, but hopefully that means better quality. They have items like mulch and soil you can purchase in bulk and I think they’ll help you load. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the parking lot is big. Recommended!

N. A.: Great delivery of mulch and awesome driver (steven) worked really hard not to damage anything on my driveway!! Excellent service!

Quinn Nguyen: Spent a lovely afternoon strolling through the well-organized and diverse inventory of outdoor plants. The prices are very affordable (most around 10-15 for potted plants). I will definitely be back in May when they change out and add more indoor plants. Staff and management are as nice as can be. The farm is large and feels very welcoming. I will definitely return again. It’s my happy place.

s pants: Good selection and helpful employees who can point out where plants are being displayed. Their delivery fee ($25) and planting fee (costs equal to the plant you buy) is pretty reasonable and they seem to do quality work. Their plants are higher-quality than Home Depot so they are a little more expensive but I personally don’t mind, as long as the plant survives.

Jim VanDyke: Very courteous and friendly. Staff was wearing masks. Negotiated a good price on a Christmas tree. I buy my tree there quite often. Lots of parking convenient to their merchandise. Convient location easy to enter and exit.

My Hanitizer: Amazing staff and great selection ✌️

Stephanie Martinell: Great customer service - always willing to help you carry plants. They also honest and up front about pricing and when plants will be available.

Nature by Design: what do users think?

Bruce Lowther: Great selection of native plants packed into a very small area. Staff was very knowledgable on what would work for us. The placards were also very informative and really helped. I really enjoyed the sculptures hidden in here and there. The old house and out building were also very interesting.

Duncan Stroup: When do you plan to reopen? Are you still at the Four Miles Run farmers market on Sundays?

Kristine Swann: I don’t know what this place is but it’s definitely not a nursery and is not open…

Paige VanderWall: Nature By Design gives the most incredible customer service experience. My best friend’s father passed away, and I live in a different state, but wanted to send her something special. I found Nature By Design, and after reading through their website, I decided this was the place I wanted to get her plant. Carla- owner- was so kind and incredibly helpful. She took the time to send me an email with some choices and photos of what I might want to send my dear friend. Once I gave her the go ahead, she had this beautiful plant delivered the very next day (during Covid-19). She made this process so easy and wonderful. I am very grateful for Carla’s willingness to help and give love to my friend. I highly recommend purchasing native plants from this locally owned, small business.

Anne O’Neill: I love this place; and they have a wide selection of native plants.

Eric Masters: Great selection of native trees, shrubs and perennials with knowledgeable staff. Healthy plants.

David Hiles: Randee the owner is expert about native plants and passionate about helping others use them. Great place.

Larry Zaragoza: Knowledgable and friendly staff took the time to understand my planting needs and provide planting recommendations to meet my needs.

Weronika Ha: All the local trees you will need ;)

Wayne Jenkins: Found a couple of native shrubs on my "want list".

Pablo's Garden Center: what do users think?

Ashantae Minor: They do not currently sell plants! I read one review that said that they radiate kindness, but that was not my experience. I walked a half hour to get there believing that it was a garden center. As soon as I walked in the people there walked away. It’s fine of course, we should social distance, but it is pretty rare to not be greeted at all in a store. I walked through the store, then had to find them to ask where the plants were and got a very curt response. I wrote before that they seem to want to be left alone, and am now editing to address their response. It’s extremely disappointing that there were no plants; I was hoping to bring my family with the car and the future but I do not feel like it anymore. I can see all the peace signs, if that is what they mean by knowing about their “mission.” They in my opinion were not living up to it that afternoon or in their reply to my review. No I do not intend to hurt a small business and you seem very well off to me actually. So you stop being cruel to show boat. There are very large and unusual garden ornaments, but I couldn’t see any price tags.

samantha: such a beautiful place with the coolest things. it’s so colorful and welcoming and pablo is so so kind. will definitely be coming back soon :)

Stefanie M. Canizares: This place is nice, but there isn’t any plants anymore. It need more attention. It looks like no one takes care of it.The art selection is nice.

Pablo Rodriguez: LOVE ...LIGHT...PEACE... PABLOS GARDEN There is not another space anywhere that fills your soul and sells kindness . Just walking through the space transports you, one feels the love and energy that this magical oasis provides . In a time of planetary darkness and challenges , Pablos Garden is an escape and a reminder of a lighter brighter future .This is the space to rent out for your next event ! celebration of life ! I love that Pablos Garden rents its magical space . so anyone who wants to safely celebrate and gather in this vibe ,can do so ! Thank you Pablos Garden for sharing your ANGELIC MAGICAL OUTDOOR SANCTUARY .

Julie Fato: Friendly service, great prices and an awesome selection of cool stuff!!! My new summer go to for cool things!!!!

michael schecter: First, Pablo no longer sells live plants, he only sells garden art. I think this is a truly unique place that has a wide variety of sculptures at what I thought were reasonable prices that are not easily found elsewhere in Bethesda/Rockville. Nothing has prices on it, so you sort of need Pablo to help you price every object you may be interested in. Second, he is a very interesting guy who loves to chat - about everything. I can imagine he may not do well if it’s busy, as he needs to tell you what everything costs and, he likes to chat, so helping three or four customers may be difficult. But if you are looking for something colorful to brighten up some corner of your yard where nothing grows, find a quiet part of the day and go and expect to spend some time with him and his collection of art work (and cats). You won’t regret it.

Katie Baker: I called to inquire about two items and they were hella rude. He screamed we are closed during the week and don’t have anything. I won’t spend my money here geez

Train & Able: Pablo is the NICEST guy EVER! Great service and an amazing selection of the best Christmas trees I’ve ever seen! I can’t recommend him and his place enough! I’d skip Home Depot and come straight here!

Merrifield Garden Center: what do users think?

Brian: We were shopping for a live cut Christmas tree and we could not find many trees in the area that were full and had a really nice shape. So we went to Merrifield Garden Center and found a very nice tree. That is the good news. The bad news is that it was about a $150 that is twice as much as The Home Depot across the street. A kind of felt like being gouged at Christmas. All of the prices of the items we saw seemed incredibly expensive. Capped off by a 11 foot Christmas tree that was $895!! Wow. Really? $895? If this review was helpful to you, please give it a thumbs up!

beyondTabu: Pretty wide selection of plants. A little pricey in comparison to other garden supply stores, but staff are friendly, helpful & informative.

Sue MacLane: Great selection. Large nursery. Staff was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Dyan in the front and Andy in the back really helped out. Our purchase was very large and we need some very specific plants and rock palettes. Much more professional service than at their Gallows Rd location.

Meadows Farms Nurseries and Landscape: what do users think?

Kevin Kampschroer: Best quality in northern Virginia, selection is good, exotic species in short supply. Advice is competent and the guarantee adequate.

Rouben Gregorian: Horrible customer service Called to ask a question about planting a tree and was forwarded to three different people. The last person put me on hold for 10 minutes and was extremely rude when they came back on the phone. In the end, no one was able to answer a simple question about if they could plant a tree. And clearly couldn’t tell me who the right person to talk to was either.

Adriana Chinchilla: I was amazed at the customer service that was offered here at meadows farms seven corners in specific a young man by the name of Alejandro i believe assisted me with excellent care when loading my bags of mulch today. I recommend stopping by!

Patrick Gregerson: This is our go to nursery. Their staff is friendly and well informed. They have a variety plants, shrubs and trees to choose from. It’s close to Arlington and the District of Columbia so that there isn’t a need to go out into the suburbs to find what you’re looking for. During Halloween, they create a maze out of straw bales for little ones to enjoy. We just got our Christmas tree there. They had a number of varieties to choose from as well.

Caden O: I bought a bag of Tree Tone only to open it at home and realize it was all moldy and wet. The bags were displayed outside with the other fertilizers so I guess they got rained on..

Randall Smith: Helpful employees, extensive inventory, well displayed. If it is to be found, you can find it here!

Gloria W.: I really like this place. They are very friendly and have a nice selection of plants

Bruce F: Extensive inventory of annual flats. Easy in/out from route 50. Easy check-out and helpful staff.

Joe Reblando: This place is great--friendly staff, good selection of herbs, and excellent prices, especially with their VIP program

Luz B.B: there is parking, and many plants and trees also serve you very well 👍

Patuxent Nursery: what do users think?

Olivia S.O: Best nursery I’ve ever been to. Customer service is absolutely incredible, they’re happy to help + they know their stuff AND my favorite thing? When they don’t, they CHECK. No need to act like you know every single detail on every single plant, and having us customers deal with the consequences. Abby helped me pick a rubber tree plant and an aloe plant, and gave me shipping information on when I can come back for a snake plant. She also gave me a ton of information on each, types of planters, and some extra info for my stubborn calethea medallion at home. Even went outside to get me a cart when my plants became too much for my arms. Leanne was super sweet, showed me a rare plant they have coming in, and helped where she could and brought Abby over to me because she was in a different department. There was a gentleman who was walking around loading things, saw I had a rubber tree plant in my cart and just gave me a bunch of helpful information. You can tell these people love their jobs, their coworkers, and genuinely love to help. It’s refreshing!! I’m already plotting on a few more plants so I can go back!

Alicia Anderson: I have shopped here for at least 10 years. Every season I look forward to my trip here..sometime several times per season…I purchase with the understanding that I get Quality and Service. This Christmas I purchase 3 small beautiful holiday plants. In less than 9 days after caring as instructed, the plants began to die. I brought them back to the store only to be told that they cannot be exchanged. No exceptions, especially with me not having my receipt yet they were aware that I had recently purchased a Christmas tree and not certain why both were not in the system. I purchase from this store and I knowingly overpay because I presume that I have a quality guarantee that I would not get elsewhere. Not the case! This is not a store that is committed to longevity and quality service. I will no longer make a commitment to shop here first. I will bring my money to a establishments that’s more connected with service and guaranteed quality not just getting a sale

Ashley Robertson: My friends know I love plant nurseries. One friend taking on a big landscape project asked me to recommend a nursery near DC, with fair prices, a wide selection, and knowledgable staff. I immediately recommended Patuxent. And they did not let us down. We were helped by Gabby who knew the best outdoor plants for my friend’s waterlogged yard. My friend wanted to attract butterflies and Gabby showed us the options for those as well. Several other staff members helped us protect and load up her truck with her selection. I was especially impressed because it started raining while we were shopping and Gabby grabbed her raincoat and kept on showing us around...well my friend around. I went inside the garden center to keep dry 😂. After picking her outdoor plants my friend had a question about an indoor plant that was dying and Gabby directed us to an indoor plant expert! By the end, my friend was raving about the stellar service and I was so glad to have converted another friend into a nursery lover! Thanks Patuxent!

Witchman: Fantastic customer serice and great selection!! I was looking for a half yard of topsoil, which some nurseries wont do. I sent an email and they promptly replied. She said they do and gave me the price. Checkout was quick and the loader operator was on point. Five stars all day long!

Caren Raphael: The manager name Lisa G was very rude! I could hear her in the radio. She was giving the cashier the feedback thinking i was not hearing.. before she even know the facts she said the answer is NO! While shouting. When i asked to speak to her she refused to come said she is working worth a cashier. I said I will wait.. she told the cashier again in the radio rudely “she will wait a while then!!! I said politely that is fine. Then she said she wont come via radio… At this time her rudeness was out of control.. the cashiers told her “she can hear you” .. In few mins she showed up already saying no with no questions asked. Even the gentleman who was there who was a reasonable person who explained that the plant was planted and I have an account the lady proceeded to be rude and decided to win rather than doing the right thing. We spent $600 and exchanging the plant which dies for $20 was what brought all this!! This is beyond bad customer service.. i have never got this type of treatment anywhere!!!!

Stunna Daren: They have a wide variety of plants…bought some black mulch which the landscapers says was good quality. A little more expensive, but you do get some warranty on the expensive plants. Also, the manager will personally assist you with questions the staff are not able to. Which is understandable, not all the staff can be highly knowledgeable in plants and shrubs.

Lowe's Home Improvement: what do users think?

Denise Anderson: Great place to shop, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had to return a lock, I waited on a line for30min, which did not move. The only movement was more people added to the line. Absolutely frustration! I still need to take back the lock, but do not want to spend my entire day waiting in a return line. The need to hire better staff and pay them. Give so e incentives fir coming to work and doing a awesome job. Easy to take money, but trying to return is a beast

Jonas Kibet: Cool home improvement store. I can rate them better than Home depot. I love their app. So cool you can scan for prices of items on the shelf before you check out. The staff and wonderful. The only thing I didnt like was that I checked out an item online and says I can pick it up from the store but is nolonger available in the shelves.

Tyra: Lowes has most of those house hold things you need. To repair or restore. My last experience at this location was very good. Young lady tried to help me but she got someone who had more experience in plumbing who also tried to help me and explain the piece I was looking for. Unfortunately I had to get a refund. The lady who helped me with refund was friendly and nice as well.

Jerome Harper: Set out to fine me a ridding mower this morning , stop by Lowe’s on 301 in bowie. Was able to purchase one in about 15 minutes. And the service was great!! Thanks! Want to say thanks to Ms.Carolyn cashier 10 for her help this morning.

Jewel Jace: Customer Excellence! Thank you Dee and Denay for providing service with a smile! Thanks for being Kind! Dee you patiently matched the screws with the correct ones. Denay before Dee came along you were with another customer but you made me feel great while waiting. Dee appear and without hesitation offer to help. You both are an example of Operational Excellence! Many THANKS! I will visit and shop again.

Howard Batiste: I went here to get some grade 8 hardware for a project I have at home. It was significantly easier to find what I needed versus shopping at Home Depot and there seem to be a lot more available in terms of volume. Would definitely recommend here if you are shopping around for screws and bolts.

Sharon Harper: Eric and Johnathan was very helpful. 1 helped with the light bulbs/light fixture and the other with dimmer switches and face cover. You all need to have more than 1 register open on a Friday evening. Same on you all plus you need more associates working. People needs job.
