Ginkgo Gardens: what do users think?

Kristen Diaz: Just moved here from Miami & have been searching for a new fav plant shop. Ive explored so many & this one is definitely it! Great selection of plants at reasonable prices. They have an outdoor & indoor section plus an upstairs portion. I’ve gotten so many plants from here already. The staff is also friendly & helpful. Recommend.

Scott Nguyen: Some of the plants sold here did not have any roots, so what chance do they have in surviving? The other plant we bought was fine though, still this nursery need to either check their greenhouse or suppliers for rooted plants.

a: I finally had the chance to stop by Ginkgo Gardens, and it completely exceeded my expectations. There is a WIDE variety of plants, planters, tools, and more! During checkout, I told the man I was just beginning my gardening journey and he pulled out this book to help me with the plants I bought today! Thank you so much for the amazing experience and exceptional customer service. This isn’t the closest plant nursery to me, but it is 100% worth the trip. I will definitely be back soon!

Ashley Stewart: Ginkgo Gardens is a cozy neighborhood plant store where I get almost all of my houseplants and planters. They also have a wide selection if outdoor plants. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the plants are beautiful. Sometimes I just visit the store for some pleasant browsing.

Sheree P: I was recently in an unfortunately common predicament. My husband was on a business trip and my daughter was in quarantine from Pre school. So I was limited in what I could do but was also responsible for entertaining a busy toddler. During our time together, my daughter and I prepared our garden to plant vegetables. I was able to call Ginko, talk about specifics of our plan and pay over the phone. Someone even gladly brought the merchandise to my car. The customer service representative went above and beyond in taking the time to speak with me and my daughter about our desires and even researched a topic for us. I feel valued as a customer and will always come back for my gardening needs.

Siena Dante: Reasonable prices based on my past experience buying plants in New York City. Staff was really friendly and knowledgeable and gave me good plant recommendations. They have a good and varied selection as well

Alison A: I was very excited to come hear about hearing good things. I was looking for something particular that a friend had found here. I asked a long haired male employee for help, and he just told me to look around for it…. The place is huge with lots of variety of plants, so I wasted time because I couldn’t find it… with that being said, very poor customer service. Wasted my time here.

Urban Jungle: what do users think?

Ryan Ellis: I ordered a succulent garden to surprise my wife. The arrangement was awesome, but the plants were not doing well after a couple of days. I contacted Urban Jungle. They delivered a brand new garden and let me keep the old one. The new succulent garden is doing much better. Good customer service!

Caitlin Hone: I ordered a Plants that cost nearly $60 from this business in April and never received it (it’s now August). I was not refunded my money and I have never been contacted by the business though I have emailed and called and texted them. I understand that the spring was an incredibly difficult time for everyone but I was still charged money for a product that I never received.

Nicole Choi: I gave Urban Jungle a chance because of their prices, but I had a very poor experience with them. I ordered a plant to be delivered on Monday, and I received no confirmation, even through email, about my order being placed or an estimated delivery time. However, I know my order was processed because I was charged. During their business hours, i tried calling and texting, as they suggest doing in their voicemail, but I received no response. I have no way of knowing if my order was actually delivered or not, yet if I reach out to the recipient, it’ll ruin the surprise! I was using Urban Stems, but again, I have Urban Jungle a try because of their competitive prices. However, the customer service is so poor at Urban Jungle that I’ll be going back to Urban Stems.

Little Leaf: what do users think?

Ben Segall: Love this place. Got a rlly nice fern in a gorgeous handmade ceramic pot. The plant selection is awesome and they are rlly nice and helpful. Be aware: most of the ceramics and plants are sold separately. The ceramics are mostly handmade and therefore priced accordingly, so if you don’t want to spend extra on a planter pot I suggest you bring your own and have them repot it for you. Overall this place is a 10/10 recommend. Will definitely go back soon.

Melissa Pazornik: Eleanor was absolutely wonderful to work with! Her eye for arrangements and knowledge about each plant was phenomenal. The entire team made my experience so enjoyable and I am OBSESSED with the final product.

Ceci Moffit: The store was very nice despite the strong artificial flower smell. The store was also very small and not covid safe at all. The male employee was very rude and did not answer my questions. He also look as if he had more important things to do. I have never had such a bad experience at a flower store before.

R. Sims: I have purchased several plants from Little Leaf over the years and recently decided to get a larger plant for my living area. I ordered a Birds of Paradise to be delivered, but did not hear from anyone on the delivery date (Saturday). I got a message on Sunday saying the plant was delivered. I reached out to the supposed delivery driver who I guess contacted Little Leaf and received a message that the confirmation was sent early, erroneously. Ok, no problem. The plant was delivered today and I must say I am disappointed in the quality - many of the leaves are split and the plant does not seem to have been well taken care of. I am surprised by this and unfortunately will be purchasing plants elsewhere.

Holden Rhodes: Hands down the best indoor plant boutique in DC. There’s no other place like it. The selection is always excellent and the profits are high quality and extremely healthy, especially compared to other plant stores in the area. I’ve bought nearly all of my plants from here and there’s a noticeable difference in the longevity of the products purchased here versus chain stores. Staff is consistently helpful and welcoming and the aesthetic never fails!

Ms.: Nice gem in D.C. great selection of plants, all shapes and sizes. Great staff. Some items are great to give as gifts. Books, cards, pots etc. Loved the pot hangers

Lindsey Casella: Always love stopping by this gem. The plants are reasonably priced and the decor/design of the store feels like Justin’s Blakeney Jungalow come to life !!!! Here are my newest additions from the store, that I snagged for total of ~$25. (Note: care cards are included, which is ideal for beginners!)

Kristen Diaz: Shop looks really aesthetically pleasing but that’s about it. Not a great variety of plants & everything is wildly overpriced (plants & pots). Even with that, I expected at least good customer service but received nothing from both employees working there. Not even a greeting or goodbye as I left (even though I still thanked them as I walked out), let alone assistance with anything else. There was also only 1 other person in the store who left before I finished shopping around so the shop wasn’t busy.

Ms. D: Extremely poor customer service and overpriced. Last Tuesday, (Dec 21) the brunette female was cold, unwelcoming and her attitude/personality was off-putting. Especially, her tone of voice when telling people there was an occupancy limit as soon as they barely stepped foot into the shop. With how tiny the shop is, it definitely needs a limit for the safety of staff/customers during Covid, but there’s a much more professional and friendly way to communicate to people, let alone customers. When entering the shop, it felt like you were just a nuisance to her. I will not be returning.

American Plant: what do users think?

Wanda B: Shop here whenever in area & in need of flowers & gardening supplies. Orderly stocked inventory & courteous employees makes it a lovely shopping experience every time! Only criticism is they are a little pricey!

Tracy Needham: I think they have just about everything you need in terms of plants, herbs, etc. Staff are friendly for the most part. A lot of times you have to track someone down if you have questions. Parking is awful. I would never go on a weekend due to parking.

Kristin Dunbar: Wide variety of plants available including many species & cultivars not typically found in other garden centers.

Ericka Ward-Audena: This place has everything you need to start gardening or to take your gardening to the next level. I love to get ideas from simply taking everything in. 😌

John Weir: As always, that place is tight and packed, however the selection and quality is second to none

Karen Smith: Good quality plants, with helpful informed people.

American Plant: what do users think?

Stephanie Stubler: Like my favorite nurseries: a plant wonderland from the moment you walk in. I was on a mission for indoor plants so did not spend much time in the covered annual/perennial area, but it was very well stocked and taken care of from my quick outdoor tour. So many indoor plant varieties to choose from, a few I had never seen in this area. I will return for further investigation, for sure!

Linda Balon Stein: Bought Biotone here to amend the soil prior to installing new shrubs. Also picked up flower and veggie seeds. American Plant is amazing. It is a bit higher priced compared to other local nurseries or big box stores. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Ashley Robertson: Nursery hopping in DC, MD, and VA is a favorite past time of mine and so far American Plant wins my award for most beautiful. American Plant had a large selection of healthy looking indoor and outdoor plants. They have everything from succulents, to trees, to climbing vines, and roses. I picked up some pollinator seeds from the garden center, a trellis, and a Thanksgiving Cactus. The prices were fair and the staff were knowledgeable and available. I particularly loved their yard sculpture collection. Those were pricy but the design and quality were some of the best that I’ve seen. I had to keep slapping my own hands to not walk away with all their hanging plants. Gorgeous!

Paul Hudson: This store is amazing, it has a wonderful assortment of plants and very knowledgeable staff. Overall, I had a excellent experience walking around and finding the plants I was looking for!!

Julie Chang: Had a great experience! Amazingly helpful staff and beautiful selection. Ended up buying a bird of paradise and a beautiful pot. Numerous staff helped me find the best fit for my needs and even adjusted my car to help things fit.

Sara Corrigan: Come every year for our Christmas tree. They have a really good selection, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Hits all the marks for us! We come for gardening season too are always pleased :)

Liz T: Beautiful plants with tons of selection. Pretty reasonably priced for the location. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend engaging with them because they are also knowledgeable. We ha d a small bush not make it and they gave us no trouble at all to replace it.

David Feuer: Very helpful staff, large selection in general. I do wish they sold wild-type strawberries.

Johnson's Florist and Garden Centers: what do users think?

Jesse Cowan: Terrific customer service today! I was greeted right away by a friendly staffer who showed me just the plant I was looking for and helped me pick one from 3 healthy specimens. Then another friendly staffer potted it for me, and when she understood it was to be a gift, wrapped it with pretty tissue paper. So grateful, and looking forward to coming back soon.

Dan S: Nice people working there, hence my not giving 1 star. We’ve had multiple issues of purchasing products from them that are infested with various pests. We bought a palm plant from them, to then find out it was infested with spider mites (to this day we haven’t been able to get rid of them, and have isolated our palm plant). We also bought compost from them on a separate occasion, to then find out (the hard way) that it was infested with fungus gnats. Our veggies withered because these gnats ate all the roots. I don’t recommend purchasing any plant products from this store, as they seem to have pest problems.

Bailey Price: Beautiful garden center that had everything I could have needed! Thanks so much to Eileen for working with me for about a half hour to pick all of the right plants and materials for what I was looking for! They turned out so nicely!

Andrea: This place is a plant haven. I would recommend going here over any other shop. The products are high quality, staff is friendly and there is a large selection. I got two small house plants and the staff had such good recommendations for my situation.

J. D. Rosenzweig: Great local flower and plant store. Much better going here than a big box store. Excellent plants inside for gifts. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.

M B: Good selection of plants and supplies. However, the cashiers, particularly the younger cashiers, aren’t very friendly. I felt as though I were imposing on their precious time by having the audacity of being a customer. No smile or friendly “Hello” or “How may I help you” for a greeting. Instead, I received an irritated “Can I help you?” from not one but both cashiers. It wasn’t packed, so I really didn’t understand the seemingly irritated or exasperated attitude. If said cashiers don’t want to help anyone, there’s a solution—QUIT! And don’t hold a position where one has to interface with the public! Needless to say, I won’t be back. I’ll do my shopping via Amazon. At least that way, I’ll be able to save time, money, and not have to deal with abysmal customer service!

Chanpen Tee: There are a lot of plants foe indoors and outdoors. Staff is friendly.

Greenstreet Gardens of Virginia: what do users think?

Kerrin Nishimura: Wonderful selection of plants including natives. Very knowledgeable staff and the prices are reasonable. The quality of the plants is excellent. They put a lot of effort into their care so you never have to worry about getting inferior stock. They do a pumpkin patch in the fall and have a great little gift shop with lots of cute stuff. I love coming here because I can always find something new and interesting to buy.

Kate Downs: Always well stocked , great deals, pleasant staff. Definitely a must visit for all your gardening needs. Great Xmas trees and poinsettias too when the season calls for it

Alisha R.: Thank you to all the staff for being so kind and helpful today, going above and beyond their job description. And the ficus they potted for me (graciously twice - I dropped it the first time) looks amazing in my living room.

Tailor Mayne: I’ve purchased many plants here over the years and my experience is always top tier. I love their house plants and they have the occasional rare table set up with all the goodies! I always stop by just to grab a plant with some character since they are at such a reasonable price or just for a peaceful walk around and look. Love this little gem hidden in Nova!

CB DCDiva: Tucked away and looking like a tiny hobbit hole, this nursery is much larger on the inside! With tons if options for inside and out, the plants were healthy and plentiful. The new veggie seedlings were in various sizes and good selection. Now parking? The tiniest parking lot offers free parking but it is hard to maneuver with lots of bagged products taking up spaces. However, if you need a variety of compost options, they have you covered.

Sarah Bennett: I just want to say this place is amazing. Their Christmas tree selection is beautiful. They have every size you could possibly want. We unfortunately had a leak from the re-usable stand we purchased and they even offered to come to our apartment and replace it for us! What amazing customer service. We will definitely be coming back in the spring in hopes to find some micro greens and other plants!

Carolina Sarmiento N.: This is the best nursery ever!!! We love the people who work here. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have beautiful flowers and the quality of their plants are excellent. We have never had a problem with any of the trees, perennials and annuals plants. We definitely recommend this place. Here are some pictures with their flowers in our townhouse patio.

Dan Solley: Had the absolute best afternoon picking out plants and flowers for our new flower box. As two novice green thumbs, we walked in clueless. But thanks to the awesome advice, guidance, and attention that was given by Scott, we walked out as complete experts. He helped us through the whole process, answering questions and teaching us and helping us pick out ideal plants for our situation. He literally spent our entire visit with us, up until and through the checkout process. I’m now a big Greenstreet fan, but an even bigger Scott fan!

Caruso Florist & Flower Delivery: what do users think?

Karen Swindell: I have been a customer of Caruso Florist for over 10 years and the flower arrangements are always beautiful! Caruso Florist customer service is awesome and they deliver to Capitol Heights, MD. l find ordering Caruso flower arrangements easy. Because I tell them the occasion and let the highly trained staff put together the most amazing flower arrangements. I spoke with the owner on several times and he offered good ideas. My family, friends, and co-workers love Caruso flower arrangements. Once I ordered an exotic flower arrangement which included the bird of paradise and my mother still talks about the flower arrangement. I highly recommend Caruso Florist.

Ron Moses: For those with loved ones interred at Arlington, Caruso’s is a veteran owned florist with a very excellent record and quality, much better than any other in the area, and can do a regular or scheduled service to Arlington. I first found Caruso’s a year ago when we needed a florist quickly on a short notice to produce a number of bouquets for my father, MgySgt/SgtMaj Herbert Moses, who passed away Nov 5th 2020. Not only did they do an exemplary job, they did so with care and speed. It was such a great job, that I have a standing order of flowers to be delivered every two weeks to my father at Arlington. I was originally concerned that Arlington groundskeepers would remove the flowers after a few days and was super surprised to discover the flowers are still there after a week (see below). I’m not affiliated with Caruso, they don’t pay me anything, and they didn’t ask me to write a review. I just read the last guy’s review complaining about Latex balloons not lasting a weekend, and anyone with kiddos knows that they don’t last but a couple days esp when it’s cold out. Not fair of a review for a truly great florist (and not a balloon shop). Thank you so much everyone at Caruso’s for honoring my father with so much care.

Donna Williams: Caruso’s worked with me to create the perfect arrangement for my dear friend’s funeral. During a time when I was devastated by his passing, Rhonda was amazingly patient and assisted me in creating an arrangement that symbolized our relationship. Thank you!!

Sherry Swerdlow: I needed flowers in a hurry and this place didn’t disappoint! I ordered on a Friday night late, and they were delivered at noon on Saturday. They were even more beautiful than the photos on website. The recipient called me twice, once to thank me and say how gorgeous they were, and again the next day to say they were the most beautiful flowers she’s ever received!!

Linwood B Carter: Caruso Florist is dependable, reliable and consistently accurate. The gift basket I ordered was fresh and exactly as advertised. The delivery was prompt and executed during inclement weather. And as usual, I expeditiously received email confirmation of the delivery. I will continue to use Caruso Florist because of their outstanding service.

House of Flowers: what do users think?

SHEENA BAILEY WILKERSO: This place is absolutely lovely. They have a variety of many plants and flowers. From the moment I stepped into the store the employees greeted me and they met my need. Honestly, the store is so comforting and so is the service here. It was worth every penny and I definitely will be back!!! The flowers are sooo beautiful; I just know my mom will love them

sherry zion: Had the best professional yet friendly experience ever! Michael and Mary are so friendly, they made me this beautiful vase with colorful and gorgeous flower arrangement for a dinner. It was last minute and they did it so elegantly yet so fast. Would be back again soon

SHAUN BAKER: M and M Michael and Mary are phenomenal. I came to House of Flowers to get birthday flowers for my dear friend Wendy. Beautiful tulip arrangement!! Go see them often! They’re the best! Thank you Michael and Mary! I will be back... Shaun

Owen Benons: Mary is incredible and extremely sweet and accommodating. The selection of flowers is top notch. They were able to expedite my order. The flower selection is second to none and the house dog is adorable. What a great place 10/10 would recommend, competitive pricing as well tell them Owen sent you!

barcemayne11: My go-to flower shop that never ceases to amaze me with their beautiful bouquets. I’m thankful for their amazing staff and the work they do. Mary is a sweetheart and gives the best costumer service while Michael and Uma are true artists! All I have to do is tell them the occasion and my budget and they create the most beautiful works of art. Gentlemen, make the right decision and get your significant others an arrangements from House of Flowers. You’re supporting a local business and you’ll be blown away

Jennifer L: Had a last-minute mission to find a boutonniere for my daughter’s prom date, and called House of Flowers since it was around the corner from my office. They could not have been nicer and were so happy to make one for me in practically no time - and it was absolutely stunning! I will definitely be ordering flowers from them in the future.

Jessica Kidane: This place has been a lifesaver for me the last few weeks when I needed to grab quick, last minute gifts. Their chocolate selection is very good and they make beautiful arrangements. Most of all, their customer service is top notch. They once delivered a last minute arrangement on Valentine’s Day for my boss’s wife with detailed instructions. They saved the day (not to mention a tremendous headache on my end) and followed the instructions to the letter. I’ve never been disappointed with them!

Amanda Cassidy: The staff at House of Flowers was incredibly patient and knowledgeable about their flowers. They walked me through different price points and arrangements, and made sure I had what I wanted at a great price when I left. Highly recommend!

J. Madison: Mary was absolutely wonderful waking me through selecting a beautiful arrangement for my Valentines Day plan. The pic below is just a starter. We’ve made arrangements to go big for actual V-Day. Thx so much!

Lee's Flower And Card Shop Inc: what do users think?

Sebastian L. Cooper: Ordered a small arrangement as my partner started as a teacher in a new school. Gave a base flower and some colors and they NAILED THE REST. It was beautiful and my partner was elated! It was even completed way before I was scheduled to pick it up and resting in a fridge. Excellent service and will be using them again!

Samantha Tausendschoen: We ordered the white rose arrangement and used the flowers for our bouquets and the greenery for our tables. It looked fabulous! The roses were big and gorgeous, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Jacob Rosenbacher: Hurts me to put this business on blast — it’s local and in a difficult industry. Moreover, this specific business has overcome generification. However, I had the worst flower shop experience of my life here. I waited to speak to a sales associate and I was mocked when I gave my description of the flowers. Not once, not twice, but three times. The colors I was looking for “earthy tones” are “exactly what all flowers” look like… fair. However, I was pretty understanding but it was said very harshly and not humorously. It was nothing but pretentious especially from this preppy older white dude in a cardigan. I then tried to describe it again, “something very natural looking and duller tones”. I was unceremoniously met with “all flowers are natural”… thanks dude. Suffice to say it was rude, 100 dollars for a smaller bouquet, and the selection was terrible compared to all other flower shops I’ve visited. Btw to the guy who reads this, I’ve walked into a dozen other flower shops… no one else thinks this is a poor description.

Mieko Hobbs: Beautiful flowers, great service, and quick shipping. I will be ordering from Lee’s again!

Daria Kirilenko: Nice people and pretty flowers. But the peonies were $16 a stem. Still decided to treat myself and got a dozen. Flowers sadly lasted only 2 and a half days and that’s with me cutting the stems and changing the water. Just sad…

Parker Asmann: Lovely flower shop that’s been around for decades. Grade-A experience. I’d recommend anyone looking for flowers and a beautiful bouquet to go to Lee’s. I also picked up a nice candle and card to accompany the bouquet. Wonderful service as well. I had a great chat with the woman working.

Maria Skirk: Disappointed with the quality of flowers and choice of greenery in my bouquet. No taste. Not worth the money.

Minnesota Florist: what do users think?

Christopher Young: I called this florist on Thursday evening (12-16-21), after getting the funeral service church address for the following morning! I’m offering a three (3) star review because they did in fact deliver the flowers and our loved one received them. The real reason for the three stars is based on the final floral arrangement. I’ll post pictures and let you all decide if this was a $130 arrangement!! I think this was purchased at a local Harris Tetter and dropped off at the church, LOL. At the end of the day, I’m guessing it was the thought…haha. Whew! I’ve sent flowers for less and the design, the attention to detail was stunning (of course, at the hands of another florist)!!! Won’t call this florist again. Based on my conversation with the elder who answered, I don’t think they read these reviews and it’s obvious they don’t care!! I’m just saying…but where else could I have vented? I don’t even reside in the DC METRO area, but I needed flowers sent at the last minute. Ok, blessings to all on sending flowers.

Tuesde Hines: I have never seen a flower shop you go in trash every were one lady was lay back in a recliner with a blanket & the other was sitting throwing stems on floor I ask for a bit k to look through very harsh the woman ask what you looking for I reply do you have a book she reply tell me what you want they try to charge me 70 dollars for a teddy bear small at that a rap around flower is what they call it No card No Vase I just bought the flowers $45 for it but then she said tax $47 Never again and unprofessional to me to had been there for 45years

Ama R.: I needed a Bouquet done last minute on a Sunday and delivered that same day.I decided to go with them and I don’t regret my decision one bit. The Bouquet was beautiful and was delivered in a timely manner. Everytime I called someone answered & was very nice. Thanks again! I will be returning when in your area.

LaVanda Gaskins: I love to support black businesses but this company right here is horrible. Why they been in business for so long is absurd. I ordered flowers and paid in full for a funeral. First of all they delivered them in the middle of the service and not only that I ordered two different sets and only one was delivered. After the funeral when I called to let them know they was late and that they didn’t send my other set of flowers the owner in which lies to me and told me she was the Manager informed me there were no refunds! How when I didn’t receive what I paid for. After informing the owner that I would dispute it with my bank if she didn’t refund my card! Please take yur business elsewhere because when you already dealing with a death you don’t wanna have to deal with people and businesses like this.

Johnson's Florist and Garden Centers: what do users think?

Blair Wright: Really good garden center, most of the garden centers in this area have closed and this is one of the better ones that had remained open

Lawrence Roffee: Helpful staff. Well stocked. Very pleasant experience

Sarah McCaines: Terrible place to shop. I used to come here often until recently where they just have new staffing constantly and none of the staff Is actually knowledgeable anymore. I was told to “read a book” and purchase it at a local library because they couldn’t help me. On multiple occasions I was not even greeted at the door of entry and some of the staff have been reluctant to even talk to us. I’m very disappointed, it used to be a lovely place. They do not even have a lot of product and when asked about it I was just given a shrug. In the decor region of the store, I have noticed items that have been around for awhile. I had been coming for years, but I am just shocked by the low quality of upkeep especially since some items are covered in cobwebs or dust or genuinely chipped or broken. Again, when I brought it to the staffs attention, they merely offered me a 10% discount. A lot of items did not have prices on them so when I went up to the counter to ask for a price, it took them nearly 15 minutes and at this point I had given up. I was told the item had been there for a while but if it had been there for awhile it should have had a price. I have had more problems than anything else the last few times that I have been and I will have to say I will no longer be shopping at johnsons. It is more of a hassle lately and a disappointment.

jan suit: This nursery has a wonderful gift shop! They have a lot of Christmas decor marked down for anyone who wants it! Last fall I was pleased to be able to purchase some beautiful chrysanthemum plants

Erin L: Enjoyable socially distant shoppers for native plants. Owners were friendly and knowledgeable, and their pets made sure to greet us personally whole the humans socially distances. (The owners were considerate about the pets and offered to put them inside of any of the customers were uncomfortable. I found a the plants I was looking for and then some.

Meadows Farms Nurseries and Landscape: what do users think?

Danica Jordan: One of my favorite nurseries. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great verity of plants. All season green house.

CB DCDiva: Medium sized garden center tucked off of above Rte 198 in Burtonsville, this nursery is very well laid out with offerings of trees, shrubs and plants. The site also offers unique annual offerings and a large array of flowering perennials. The free VIP club offers sale prices for most plants on-site and is worth joining. For landscaping purposes there are lots of options in river and drainage rocks, mulch and Bags of soil. Late season perennials were priced to move and very affordable. The site offers hand sanitizer stations and everyone wears masks on the staff. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Definitely planning to return!

Sandra Holt: This was my second time shopping here and the first time, the staff was very helpful but the second time, the staff was unhelpful and rude. A staff member was ringing up a customer so I patiently waited for her to finish so that I could ask her a question. After standing there for a few minutes, a coworker walked up to her at the same time that the customer was leaving and started chit chatting. Because I’ve been standing there for a while and the original staff member knew that, I said excuse me and I asked her my question. I guess she didn’t like that I was interrupting her chitchat because she gave me barely an answer and had a lot of attitude to go with it. Anyway, I just walked out. I won’t shop at a place where I feel like the staff is doing me a favor by helping me and giving me attitude on top of it is too much.

Gary R: Overall, a positive experience. Each plant has a helpful placard describing how big each plant will grow, common uses, etc. After allowing us some time to browse, a staff member offered to help us and made knowledgeable suggestions once we shared our need. Lost one star because the entrance is hard to see -- I almost overshot.

Keith C: Great natural experience, thanks Tyler-Keith C@Officiallykeithc

Mac C: Tons of house plants! I love it here! The team is also pretty knowledgeable on products and plant care!Thank you guys for making my first visit, certainly not last, a great one.

Nicalena Neary: Meadow Farm Nursery in Burtonsville MD is a full service garden center. They carry a full selection of Trees, bushes, annuals and perennials. The staff is helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this business.

Julie Hildebrand: Our church got Christmas poinsettias from Meadows Farms Burtonsville for the first time this year. Holly and Donna were so nice and very helpful with the ordering process. The poinsettias were delivered on time. The plants themselves were gorgeous! We got many compliments on how beautiful they were. I look forward to ordering from Meadows Farms again.

Patuxent Nursery: what do users think?

Olivia S.O: Best nursery I’ve ever been to. Customer service is absolutely incredible, they’re happy to help + they know their stuff AND my favorite thing? When they don’t, they CHECK. No need to act like you know every single detail on every single plant, and having us customers deal with the consequences. Abby helped me pick a rubber tree plant and an aloe plant, and gave me shipping information on when I can come back for a snake plant. She also gave me a ton of information on each, types of planters, and some extra info for my stubborn calethea medallion at home. Even went outside to get me a cart when my plants became too much for my arms. Leanne was super sweet, showed me a rare plant they have coming in, and helped where she could and brought Abby over to me because she was in a different department. There was a gentleman who was walking around loading things, saw I had a rubber tree plant in my cart and just gave me a bunch of helpful information. You can tell these people love their jobs, their coworkers, and genuinely love to help. It’s refreshing!! I’m already plotting on a few more plants so I can go back!

Alicia Anderson: I have shopped here for at least 10 years. Every season I look forward to my trip here..sometime several times per season…I purchase with the understanding that I get Quality and Service. This Christmas I purchase 3 small beautiful holiday plants. In less than 9 days after caring as instructed, the plants began to die. I brought them back to the store only to be told that they cannot be exchanged. No exceptions, especially with me not having my receipt yet they were aware that I had recently purchased a Christmas tree and not certain why both were not in the system. I purchase from this store and I knowingly overpay because I presume that I have a quality guarantee that I would not get elsewhere. Not the case! This is not a store that is committed to longevity and quality service. I will no longer make a commitment to shop here first. I will bring my money to a establishments that’s more connected with service and guaranteed quality not just getting a sale

Ashley Robertson: My friends know I love plant nurseries. One friend taking on a big landscape project asked me to recommend a nursery near DC, with fair prices, a wide selection, and knowledgable staff. I immediately recommended Patuxent. And they did not let us down. We were helped by Gabby who knew the best outdoor plants for my friend’s waterlogged yard. My friend wanted to attract butterflies and Gabby showed us the options for those as well. Several other staff members helped us protect and load up her truck with her selection. I was especially impressed because it started raining while we were shopping and Gabby grabbed her raincoat and kept on showing us around...well my friend around. I went inside the garden center to keep dry 😂. After picking her outdoor plants my friend had a question about an indoor plant that was dying and Gabby directed us to an indoor plant expert! By the end, my friend was raving about the stellar service and I was so glad to have converted another friend into a nursery lover! Thanks Patuxent!

Witchman: Fantastic customer serice and great selection!! I was looking for a half yard of topsoil, which some nurseries wont do. I sent an email and they promptly replied. She said they do and gave me the price. Checkout was quick and the loader operator was on point. Five stars all day long!

Caren Raphael: The manager name Lisa G was very rude! I could hear her in the radio. She was giving the cashier the feedback thinking i was not hearing.. before she even know the facts she said the answer is NO! While shouting. When i asked to speak to her she refused to come said she is working worth a cashier. I said I will wait.. she told the cashier again in the radio rudely “she will wait a while then!!! I said politely that is fine. Then she said she wont come via radio… At this time her rudeness was out of control.. the cashiers told her “she can hear you” .. In few mins she showed up already saying no with no questions asked. Even the gentleman who was there who was a reasonable person who explained that the plant was planted and I have an account the lady proceeded to be rude and decided to win rather than doing the right thing. We spent $600 and exchanging the plant which dies for $20 was what brought all this!! This is beyond bad customer service.. i have never got this type of treatment anywhere!!!!

Stunna Daren: They have a wide variety of plants…bought some black mulch which the landscapers says was good quality. A little more expensive, but you do get some warranty on the expensive plants. Also, the manager will personally assist you with questions the staff are not able to. Which is understandable, not all the staff can be highly knowledgeable in plants and shrubs.

Bloomers Home & Garden Center: what do users think?

Sam Bergere: Nothing but a great experience at Bloomers! The staff is very knowledgeable about the plants and offer advice for what would be best for your property. The landscaping service they offer is also great!

Pugglesrule Dotcom: I always buy my vegetable plants and flower flats from Bloomers. Everything is well taken care of and great quality. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Allison Pierson: Nice selection of pansies in all kinds of colors, plugs of herbs including lots of different kinds of mints, basil, oregano, etc. Peas, lettuce, kale, strawberries, lots of amendments for soil and Bumper Crop soil bags, bird section with feeders and food, cute mini containers.

Debbie Roach: I love Bloomers! All of the plants there are beautiful and there are so many options to choose from. The staff is friendly and always there to help.

dize mal: I love this place. Have been coming for years. The plants are always healthy. They have unique decorative items, also.

Peg Urban: I have shopped there 3 times in the last month or so. Always have to limit my purchases ( oh it is so hard to do!). Best potting soil and garden soil along with the flowers and plants.

B S: Their plants are infested with mites which killed my bushes and all they did was try to sell me more. Entire job done by poor immigrant laborers , I felt so bad for them. Bloomers really needs to be reported and shut down. smh

She Loves Me Eckington: what do users think?

Austin Graff: A beloved local woman-owned business, this location in Eckington is their main warehouse/shop. Inside new development, the space is industrial and spacious. The shop is beautifully arranged with flowers (fresh and dried), plants, jewelry and other items for sale. The owner is very friendly and willing to guide you around the shop. We bought flowers from one of their location and they lasted for two weeks- way longer than any other shop in the city!

Paula Porto: The Flower Arranging Basics Workshop was so much fun! Holley and everyone at She Loves Me welcomed our group with open arms. This was such a fun way to spend Happy Hour and we hope to be back soon!

Julie Thompson: I had a great experience using She Loves Me for our elopement and party. It was super seamless, and the flowers we received were also gorgeous and really added to our big day.

Kelsey Reese: Holley is incredibly knowledgeable about all things flowers! I learned so much from her at the workshop and tips from the trade that I can use in the future. I can’t wait to take another workshop in the future!! Thank you, Holley!

Tiffany Balmer: Thanks so much! for being amazing!!! the a la carte options are perfect and super helpful for last minute events. Guests were begging to take them home. Always great working with you all!!! thanks!!

Jan Lazny: We sent flowers from your shop to our daughter. Excellent flowers and excellent customer service!!! We would highly recommend your shop!

Rachel Sinderbrand: Love this place! Very happy to have their cheery storefront in our neighborhood. Looking forward to taking a class here as well.

Alexandra M. Dickinson: Easy delivery, beautiful bouquet. My absolute go to.

Natty Garden: what do users think?

E O: Apologies for the blurry photos. I really enjoyed speaking with the staff. He helped me understand the best setting for the plants I was considering. You could tell he was busy but at the same time cares about the craft, and ensuring customers leave informed.

Mr. Shillington: Stop in with a friend to check them out. I about to go back to pickup for my herbs garden. Great location but it’s difficult for parking.

Michael Center: Good selection of plants, unfortunately everything is overpriced and the staff is horribly rude and unhelpful. I have visited this place several times and would let past rudeness slide marking it up to maybe that person was having a stressful day, however, during my most recent visit an employee went out of their way to shame my wife and I for wearing a mask while inside the building. This place is so convenient for this neighborhood, but that convenience is outweighed by their hostility.

ifaa amit: Selection is nice, but some sections won’t show prices (which mostly are quite expensive). Home Depot gave much better prices 🤷‍♀️

Ashley Tjhoi: Lots of options for common plants. Came in for potting mix and orchid bark. Surprised to see all the pests preventions and will definitely come back for emergency infestations.

Josh Mojica: Jay is amazing! We got there a few minutes before close and helped us decide on the perfect plant for our space. They’re always friendly and helpful at Natty. :)
