bradley Wilde: My husband and I have just come home from the Sherman Williams located on Wisconsin Avenue where we were assisted by a most competent and friendly young man named Michael. He was knowledgeable, friendly, gave advice, and was not pushy in the slightest. While we had thought we would compare Sherwin Williams with other paint stores in the area we were so impressed with Michael that decided to forego comparison shopping and will be back in a week to order the paint we need to redo the interior of our apartment. Gontran Archer: The staff was extremely courteous and professional. I picked up a gallon at a store 1 hour away which was mixed wrong. I found them just a mile from my job site so they allowed me to bring the paint to their store and provided me with a freshly mixed gallon in the right color! They were great and I highly recommend them.....they are my new store from now on!

Kris Juncker: Sherwin Williams recycles paint cans. This is a great service. We use SW paints for my workplace, and I switched to SW for home because of the quality. However, contractors get a price discount so definitely work with your builder if you are getting the walls painted.

Joanna Ong: Great experience with Tony, who has been fantastic both here and at True Value. I needed a color fix on a paint order and he made that happen professionally, and went through full diligence. The sigh of relief seeing the paint match on the walls for a time sensitive project made my day.
Emily Tedesco: I had such a good experience at this store. My apartment complex had done some work on my kitchen but gave me no help in managing the noxious fumes from the paint. It occurred me to stop into the paint store. The man there let me rant a little bit (he was very kind) and gave me a solution that worked. I think it cost like $20. Martha Wilson: I have been coming here for years. Staff members are very knowledgeable and helpful. It’s quite well stocked, considering it’s a small hardware store. I’m so glad they made it through the Covid closures here in DC. The store is a fixture in our community. I love it!

Paul Durbin: Great staff. I’ve gone to this hardware store at least 100 times. They make eye contact and ask what I need help with, without fail. They all seem to jump in to cover any duty. If a register is occupied, one of the staff will quickly ask to take me at another one. I’ve never had to search for help and I’ve never had to wait in line.
Sara: Very well-stocked local hardware store! Something for everyone here, and they have quite a few home decor options. Got a mounted key holder here as well as some screws - everyone was very friendly.

Pauly Kerins: I’ll tell you what, the customer service in this store is TOP NOTCH!! My 1st visit I was a bit lost but Jay the manager walked me through what I needed for the size of the room I was painting. All I had to do was pick out the color, my man even gave me some pointers on how to prep properly. Legit!! My 2nd visit was even smoother. Jack one of the other managers recognized me and was able to look up my color that chose last time and got me out the door in less than 5 min. TOP NOTCH!! Here’s the kicker last visit they gave me a voucher for the food truck that they had parked outback!! Whaaaat!! Taco Taco Thanks Guys, That’s What Customer Service Is All About.

Sam C: This is a great hardware store. Staff is helpful, selection quite decent, and right in my neighborhood. Could I save a little bit of cash by driving out to the deep burbs for the Home Despot or similar? Sure, but would I? Absolutely not. Icing on this cake: they always accept my Ace coupons, even if past their expiration date. Now that is ace in my book.
MAC Cover: I am rating Glover Park Ace location a 4 because the gentleman who assisted me was very nice in spite of this mean nasty new world we live in. The only issue I have was I placed my order for curbside but the store was unable to locate the order which caused me to go inside the store which I loathe. Love my Ace Hardware!

Gwen George: Customer service is important to me as I only choose to spend money where I feel valued as a customer. The team at this store gets it! Everyone was personable, friendly & polite. Tre assisted me in ordering about 20 gallons of paint for my home. This was sourced from multiple locations and still available for pick up on time the next day. Tre patiently went above and beyond to work with me to ensure I got the most accurate colors which compliment the lighting in my home. The 8th St. SE location is definitely highly recommended and my preferred location for purchasing Sherwin Williams paint & products.

Audrey Lester: Blind Customer: I increased shopping here during pandemic, as it’s in my community. On nearly all visits, I’m greeted at front door by a very knowledgeable staff member. I love how they know where every item is specifically located - like really! Upon entry, you’re on main isle. To your left are short isles leading to registers. Staff always escort me through store or to elevator where I’m met by another team member on lower level. Ayesha, General Manager, allows items to be opened for me when possible so I can feel item. I especially love their text message lime where consumers can ask questions before visiting store. Great Team!

Sassy Sauce: I missed all of the after Christmas saw items. This location had a few products left over from Christmas but nothing I really wanted. Overall the store was neat and organized. I didn’t need any additional items for this trip, just preparing for next years holiday decorations.

I really Appreciate the help from a young male staff who was working in the Garden/Mulch area, he was very Helpful and Knowledgeable with assisting me with the products along with a young female cashier on the inside of the store. Now you can never get the help you need when you’re in the store aisles. Every time you asked a staff member who’s in the same aisle as you. Can you help me with something? Their reply seems to be, I don’t work over here and they don’t know who can help you..!!! Home Depot needs better training for their staff who’s working in the store aisles..
Anna Lloyd: Desmond in the home and garden went out of his way to help us find something that 4 different employees had just shrugged their shoulders and said that even though it was available online they were probably out. Desmond knew exactly where it was and showed us himself, even though it was on the complete other side of the store. He really took customer service to the next level.

Megan Tebbenhoff: Everyone at this Ace Hardware is incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable! I went in seeking a screw that would fit a warped sleeve in a new piece of furniture, and Chris went above and beyond to help me fix my problem. He asked me to bring in my furniture, offered me a dolly to wheel it in from my car, and used some tools free of charge at the store to help get the screw properly threaded so I could finish building my furniture. It was so kind of him to offer his assistance, I likely would have had to exchange the furniture if I didn’t have his help. I have come to this location a few times and I have always been incredibly impressed by the service. Huge thank you to Chris!
Sarah Parker: Everyone here is incredibly nice and helpful! Someone very nicely greeted me as I walked in, and then Chris was super friendly and efficient in making some keys for me, and Lawrence was really friendly too! This is a super competent, customer service centered team, and they made my day with how nice they were!!
Jessica C: I take my dog here twice a week while I browse their new plant selections. The staff are all so nice and helpful. I love that they shower my dog with attention. My dog loves it too. She always tries to drag me in for treats. They have a great plant selection. They change things up but you can usually find a good array of basics and less common plants. They often have small hoyas, peperomias, aglaonemas, and other stuff I’m looking for. I always look forward to checking out the new stock on Wednesday and Friday. Thanks, Ace

Juan and Danny were very helpful with picking out the right primer, paint, and tools as well as giving me tips. I used the Benjamin Moore Advance paint, I love that stuff!
