Allison Guy: This Petco might be good for other things, but the conditions their birds are kept in are nightmarish. The parakeets do not have adequate perches of different sizes, any chewing toys, and they are fed on a cheap, unhealthy all-seed diet. I also watched as a woman pried open one of the plexiglass doors and let a budgie escape. As for the parrots, well, have a look at the photo — a tiny enclosure with no opportunity to climb, chew, fly or have social interaction. Same unhealthy seed diet, water bowls full of droppings. Their heads were full of painful pin feathers because they had no bird or human companion to groom them. Imagine sitting on the same perch in a glass box all day with nothing to do, for weeks and months on end. This is absolute torture for such a smart, social animal.

carolyn jackson: My son and I love, love, love this store. We are here every week doing a fish tank water sample test. The manager Donnell in the fish dept. Is very nice, helpful. knowledgeable, and professional. He and the staff are always ready to help you in any way. It a fun store to shop.

Dani Rios: We casually visited this store and left with the best impression. The nice cashier seemed sincerely interested in learning about our puppy and gave us some great tips about the excessive chewing. We regret not asking her name, she was a nice African American lady. Thank you!

Sarah Levine: I did a puppy training class with Jen and she is an excellent trainer. She understands dog behavior and how to use positive training to get results. My puppy started off hating going into the store and by the end she was dragging me in because she was so excited to go to class. I highly recommend taking training classes with Jen.

Courtney: Jill was so helpful and informative—just got a puppy and she helped us find the right cleaning spray for accidents in the house. The store was clean and organized. Will be coming to this Petco in DC from now on!

Summer Bryant Campell: Mr. Darnell was very knowledgeable and compassionate about the proper living space, food and bedding for the newest addition to our family our guinea pig. You can tell he loves animals and wants the very best for them. Ms. Alexis, who was at the register when we bought our guinea, gave her a check once over and reminded us to check our guinea’s ears, nails and reminded us of possible bald patches that can be caused by ring worm and / or mites. She was also very caring and showed our guinea lots of love. The professionalism, and customer we experience each time we shop at this Petco keeps us coming back.

Helena Chaves: Genuinely the nicest, most efficient and knowledgeable customer service I have ever received. They offer the greatest advice, cater to your needs, and even gave veterinarian recommendations for my sweet cat Luna. When saying I was a college student, an employee immediately understood my financial circumstances and gave me the most affordable prices. Definitely will be going here for many years to come.

Joseph Thomas: Good Prices and great discounts for members. I always buy the super Long BullySticks! Perfect for a large dog. But I must warn you it's a small shop with just enough room to turn around. Also its is kinda hidden in the cut so you have to make sure you look out for the bright green building on Connecticut Ave. Parking sucks on the street but it's ok as long as you don't linger in the store. Get in and get out or risk a ticket. They don't play around!

Melissa Glidden Tye: Lovely local pet store. Small, but well stocked and will do special orders if you're looking for something they don't have. Most importantly, these are folks that really CARE about animals. So you're not just supporting a local business, but you're supporting people that helping to improve the lives of the animal population in the area. Pet Mac is affiliated with a wonderful organization, Pets Bring Joy, an animal rescue organization that works to find foster and forever homes for animals in need.

Cristine Romano: My beloved neighborhood pet store for the last 20 years. The proprietors are so knowledgeable and they dispense valuable advice. It's this aspect that distinguishes a small local gem like PetMAC from national and online retailers who might carry some of the same products.

Miles Fawcett: Very nice small local pet shop where the owner is interested in getting to know your pet. Good selection of items for cats and dogs. Their cats roaming the shop so make sure to close the door behind you. they have an arrangement with UPS so we're often able to pick up our UPS packages from here rather than having it redelivered.

Michelle Nam: Love the products that they sell here! They have a good selection of high end quality dog food and my dog and I love coming here. If your brand or product is out, they will also do a custom order for you. You pay upfront and they'll notify you when it comes in. The prices are reasonably and comparatively with online stores, it's about the same. The only thing I would have to say is that the store usually just has one worker in the store at a time. I've been there numerous times throughout my first year here and most of time it's not busy at all. But the one time it was, I had to wait 20 minutes to get helped. The only person in front of me was getting personally helped by the worker by grabbing things for her when the customer clearly knew where everything was and has been there before. There were definitely moments in which the worker could have helped me but she chose not to and because of that, my parking meter ran the time out. My only recommendation is that they have multiple workers during peak hours as well as train workers on how to handle busy hours better.

Metaverse Man: Owner is obnoxious. Avoid! Despite also being a UPS pickup point, the owner refused to let me leave a large heavy package labeled for UPS pickup after I carried it several blocks. She claimed she didn't have room for it, despite having a mostly empty store. I told her it was fine to leave it outside for UPS to collect when they came because it was worthless junk being returned to the manufacturer for environmentally responsible recycling, but she acted like it would be no big deal for me to just load the box back on my dolly and wheel it 10 blocks to the UPS store. I decided to leave the box anyway because she is the designated UPS access point. If she doesn't want to do her job and accept packages, then she should terminate her agreement with UPS, but I had relied on the fact that she is a designated point in bringing the package there. As between which of the two of us should bear the bigger burden, it was a far greater burden for me to take the package back, than for her to simply do what she agreed to do and type the numbers into her computer and let UPS handle it. So today I checked the tracking number and the package is in transit. So despite her "clutch the pearls" moment over "such a big box," she seemed to smarten up enough to just enter the package information into the system and UPS of course came for the package because they are quite happy to pick up a heavy box and collect a big fee from the company paying for the return She was just saying no because she is a obnoxious snot. In the end, I was right and she was wrong.

Amalia Baikie: Had a great personalized experience here. Got a case of cat food and treats for less than I would at the big brand stores! Definitely a great small business to support, that carries good kitty cat food.

Darren Kealey: Local shop that every pet owner should know of. They are nice they have good pricing and they treat you with respect. 5 stars and a thank you.

Dan Gomez: The people here are wonderful and love pets as much as I do. They're also very knowledgeable and have given me very helpful advice on numerous occasions. Plus, there's usually 2-3 cats roaming the store waiting to be adopted, which makes shopping here more fun!

Arabella Van Patten: Be careful!!! I got scammed here. Paid in exact change because their “cash register wasn’t working”. They didn’t give me a receipt because their “system was down”. Next time I went in the person working demanded I give them $20, while I know I paid in exact change. I didn’t want to argue about it due to some medical conditions I have and I was confused so I just gave them the money and left. Thinking about it now I know I didn’t owe them anything. My service dog and I will not be back. If their cash register isn’t working DO NOT PAY it is a scam!!!

And the cashier I spoke to her attitude was horrible, when I asked if it’s okay that I have someone else pick up the package for me being that online it clearly states to bring your ID to verify , her response was “ well I’m not a computer so you’ll be good “ I simply said “ excuse me ? “ because I was completely blown away by this answer , she proceeds to repeat what she just said almost like it was okay . When being in customer serivce you have to have customer serivce ! Friendly attitude … so once she repeated herself I asked her if she was having a bad day because her attitude was bad her answer to that was “ yeah I’m having a bad day and your making it worse by asking me these questions “ almost like her job wasn’t customer serivce . So I asked to speak to a manager and that was just as bad ! When speaking to TONY he acted like it was okay what she said and was bushing me off almost rushing me off the phone … if that’s how you want to run a store then maybe you shouldn’t be open .. just a food for thought . I’m not one to write reviews or even call Corporate but today was different and I definitely did

Mary A Jenets: I love this store. I buy lots of tops for my nieces and myself. Socks, the svarorsky crystal collar for my nieces pug. My husband is not a pet fan so I do not have a dog or cat, but my niece has Gracie, her black pug who is adorably spoiled. The tshirts and night shirts and sweat shirts are well made and worth every dollar.

Jn Clark: Had a GREAT experience at the PetSmart Dakota Crossing grooming salon. My puppy is 6 months so he had the big fluffy hair (which I loved) but it’s time for a change. I asked his grooming artist to take him down but leave a little. I picked him up and was in awe, he looked so handsome. I love all the staff!! Andre F was great, will be back in a few weeks.

august belt: The 2 batch of fish I got from them has literally only lasted a week max , the previous fish I had got has lasted 5 months so far ( a few passed ) , but now I am completely unsatisfied because I spend so much money with them, from dogs, Guinea pigs, fish . Water test strips are great. Ammonia everything I am so upset . One passed overnight , return home from work and here is the other only lasted 7 days literally

Queen Me: This has been one of the worst business establishment ever! I took a healthy 6 yo Puppy there. He went in for a hair cut came out with small red rashes all over his body. I took him home he did not eat or drink that night. Took him to the animal emergency room where they billed me $400 to say it was the hair cut! It was not done correctly the clippers were too hot, dirty and so on! I called the store and the grooming manger says oh the groomer is new and I will give you 40% off! I’m sick to my stomach! This is my child and all you can offer me is 40% and lies ! I’m so disappointed and sadden it’s been two days yet this is hard my puppy is not doing well! This my first fur baby! Never again! If I could rate it 0 stars I would do -100!

Algenon Walters: I took my dog in to be groomed a week ago Monday, February 21, 2022. The groomer who provided the service was Jasmyn. As a result of my visit my puppy experienced issues due in part to his cut. She shaved my puppy extremely close over his entire body and did a poor job ensuring his facial hair or his ears were cut evenly. I ended up having to take him to the Vet which resulted in a bill of $300.00 due in part to the stress caused by his haircut. I will never use this PetSmart again and certainly wouldn’t recommend her for grooming services.

Ms C.M.: I took my pup to be groomed Saturday. They butchered my baby. I notice lastnite a nick on back of his leg an his ears were still dirty an smelly. His nails were cut too low i notice blood on paw. 1st an last time using them. They charged 101.00 for what i don't know

Phyllis Harris: Groomer left a sour taste in my mouth. The whole department seemed like a “us vs them” team thing. When I had a problem they all seemed offended instead of wanting to fix the issue and suggested since I am not happy maybe I should find another groomer. Yup, I agree. ESPECIALLY when I arrived my dog was howling and cry barking and they acted like no one heard her. I know that to be the “potty cry” and they were just ignoring it. Then once I asked them to go get her so she wouldn’t be so upset while we were discussing an issue with the bill. Her eyes were still dirty and crusty and I wonder why after a bath and cut her eyes were so messy and they said it was probably from her crying and being upset without me. Goodness. I have a Standard Poodle that is spoiled and LOVES being groomed so this is just weird…they just don’t seem like they LIKE grooming.

Lizzie Sorrell: Everything in this store is way over priced. Brought some fish for my grandson woke up the next morning to find all of them dead. I guess the clean water was to much for them. Safe to say we will not be returning.

Danielle Arandia: The grooming at this location is awful. I’ve been using Petsmart for a nail trim/grind for years and per Petsmart’s website and every other location, this is a walk up service, no appt needed; in fact most other locations won’t even let me schedule an appt. Every time we go here for a nail trim, we get turned away and told to make an appt. When I call to make an appt (bc you cannot make this type of appt online) they’re “full.” It literally takes 10 min each time to get my pup’s nails trimmed so it’s quite ridiculous. My final straw with this location was finally getting an appt and then come to find out they scheduled us in Falls Church?! I’m so over this location. Go somewhere else.

Terrance Hobson: If you have a choice, NEVER come to this Petsmart for grooming. I had an appointment at 10am and they told me come back at 2pm. At 2pm, they told me to come back 3:30. I arrived at 3:30 and they haven’t even started on my dog yet! I’m never coming back to this Petsmart again.

Jaime Aparisi: I took my dog for a full bath and they shaved his normally beautiful tail w/o my authorization. I called them and they said a manager would reach out. Crickets. Since I posted this the manager called my wife and they refunded the $84.

Jenny Jimenez: Yanique is fantastic for grooming! My dog Max can be a bit difficult at the groomers and has terrible separation anxiety but Yanique and the lady at the cashier were extremely kind and helpful. This has been our first visit for grooming at Loyal Companion and Yanique took some time to listen to what kind of style I envisioned Max should have. Within less than 1.5 hours, I received a phone call saying that Max was ready for pick up! I am very impressed with how quick the appointment was. He looks great and we look forward to going back for his next appointments! Also, I have been at this store before and the staff is always extremely helpful in answering any questions.

Rania Abdulhussain: I scheduled my 12 months old poodle to get groomed 3 weeks in advance, and that was a mistake, we are NEVER going there again! 1- I was told they were busy/ overbooked and the groomer I scheduled couldn’t service him, suggested I rebook and it’s not their fault the online booking is not efficient, next time I should call to schedule an appointment instead, system broken..blah blah.. 2-Appointment was for 12:30pm, I didn’t get him back until 6:30pm.. not sure why I they are allowed to do such thing. 3-He was terrified and shaking when he came home, they kept him in a cage the whole time, he peed as soon as we stepped out of the store which tells me they didn’t take him out as they promised. 4- My dog’s eyes have been red since I picked him up yesterday, his fur is uneven and short to the skin in some areas. Now I have to worry about him getting a sunburn during his outdoor birthday party tomorrow. 5- I must’ve mentioned it was his birthday 4 times and I’m looking to purchase treats for his puppy friends... no recommendations were given ... I could’ve bought one of every flavor..instead I went to Amazon and got next day delivery. Ashley apologized, it doesn’t justify what this poor puppy went through for 6 hours.Too bad I live in the McLean Gardens and I pass by the store at lease twice a day, they lost a client.

Alex Randolph: The grooming is AWESOME! Ashley has done our grooming the last two times and was great. We used to take our dog to another “big chain” groomer and the attention to detail just was not there. At Loyal Companion they get all of the small things such as make sure the dog is cut even, nail grind is done well, paws are trimmed very well and the face is done. Highly recommend.

Alissia Bishop: I cannot rave enough about Loyal Companion groomers (the store and employees are top notch, too)! My groomer, Ashley, deserves the highest praise for taking care of my shy husky. My pup gets the de-shedding package with oil treatment for her dry skin with added nails, ears and teeth cleaning. She looks like a million dollars each time she comes out and my vet just gave me an A+ on her dental health. Plus I notice her skin is get better and better. The price is unbeatable and the quality is unmatched. I recommend Ashley and Loyal Companion to anyone with a furry friend.

HT ME: This is my second time at loyal companion near cathedral Commons. The first time I was very pleased with the groomer, I think her name is Adinike (sorry if this is not the correct spelling), the second time was another groomer who did a horrible job. When I picked my dog he was so anxious that I thought OK, he is happy to see me, but apparently, he suffered there. I am so disappointed as this would have been my go to groomer. My dog's face is injured, the hair has different lengths in different part of the body, his back, probably it is the easy part and most visibly) is the only place with equal length.

Subir Lall: Loyal Companion Cathedral has great staff who are always very helpful. I bring Murphy here for grooming always. Ashley genuinely loves the pets and it shows in the care and attention to detail whenever I bring him in and she does not rush and is very patient. She even takes care of things I may have overlooked in the pre-appointment briefing. Murphy always comes back looking radiant and feeling happy band its clear he has truly enjoyed the experience. This is a place where true pet loving professionals like Ashley know how to take care of Murphy so I look forward to bringing him here always.

John Doyle: This is a top notch facility to get your dog groomed. Both Ashley and Ynique are the best groomers I’ve experienced in my over 20 years of being a pet parent. They are so friendly, prompt and fantastic at what they do!! I HIGHLY recommend them both!!

Samuel Leohr: We placed a delivery order yesterday afternoon Fri 3/18. We were called shortly after to be informed the Howl to the Chief was sold out of items in our order. We provided alternative item requests. Today Sat 3/19 @5:15pm, we are still without our order for Frozen Perishable items. We called the store to inquire if the order status. Both the staff were sarcastic and combative. They immediately cut us off and instructed us to refer to the text message sent by the third party company used. We explained that we did not receive said text message . Instead of being helpful they began to say that it should have been sent yesterday when the order was picked up. We reiterated that we never received a text message and it was never delivered. We then asked the protocol of what happens when the orders picked up and not delivered the same day as part of the order was frozen perishable. They then stated there was nothing they could do but try to reach out. We stated our frustration as this was over $60 spent on dog food that was not received. They then said it was picked up today at 2pm (contradicting of earlier statement). We asked that they call the third party company and update us with an order status, only to be hung up on by howl to the chief. I called back shortly after to inquire if they had called the third party company and they said, they did but no one answered. After 3 years of being loyal customers, This is the last time will ever shop here again!

Ali Legros: We love Howl to the Chief. Their product selection is second to none and the staff is always helpful. We’ve been shopping here since 2013 and it’s a real destination in Eastern Market!

Tanner Hodges: Not entirely sure who DeeDee is or their role at this location, however they are rude and not helpful what so ever. I called to inquire about an online order I placed a day ago(I know about the 24 hour rule) when I asked if they knew where my order was DeeDee acted like how dare I call to ask such a question and once the 3rd party delivery service picks it up, it’s out of their hands. They huffed and puffed on the phone like it was my fault and they acted annoyed by my question. They then told me it was picked up the day before and then said it was picked up this afternoon. I mentioned it was perishable (frozen food) and DeeDee said “well we had it in the freezer” while I understand this, when I call to ask what the status of the order is and I’m treated as if I’m bothering you and not given any sort of solution, that’s what bothers me. I have shopped at this store for the last 3 years I’ve lived here I have never had this level of terrible service here and I know you may not miss my business but I’ll be going else where from now on. You can thank DeeDee for that

Daniel Lincoln: I started going to Howl to the Chief when I started working in Navy Yard and I love being able to support a small local business with friendly staff and a great selection of dog foods for my old lady dog. They have a lot of cat things as well! Lots of really cute toys and other cat/dog sundries as well. There new store space is so spacious and really speaks to my much larger personal bubble I have these days

Tyler Cloud: The staff are kind and helpful. I do wish they know more about some of the products they carry, but this shop has exactly what I need. Quality dog food, quality treats. Every dog that has been in there, when I and my little dog have been, has been incredibly well behaved. I enjoy going here and Monsignor does as well!

J. McCormick: This cute pet shop is a staple of Eastern Market//Barracks Row and really seems to have stood the test of time. They host adoptions many weekends, and though their prices are a touch higher than "main chain" pet stores, the staff really get to know your pets, make fantastic recommendations, and are very well informed of the origin and ethics of their products. Overall, a fantastic little spot.

Lyssa McEachern: I live to come here and spoil my pups! They have a great selection - especially love the treats, primal goat milk, and Suzies CBD! This is the place to go to get a step up on your dogs nutrition!

I usually have my raw food mail ordered but there was a shipping delay and arrived spoiled. I found this store late at night scrambling for my dog’s and cat’s breakfast and placed my order online. I was able to pick it up the next morning. Life savers! I will definitely be back!

They dont carry the same brands for their cats as they do dogs, which I specifically went in for and their pricing is much higher than what I have paid else where once we finally figured out what the price would be since it didn’t have a price tag and wasn’t even loaded in their system as it was delivered on accident. —- Added a star for the response from owner was kind and thoughtful and it appears I must have just hit an off day, and we are all allowed an off day.

Evan St. John: I used to come here for my hound and the staff was always kind and had a good inventory of healthy food foods. Ended up adopting another dog through this store's partnership with Rural Dog Rescue and now have another pup to make my life wonderful. While visiting family in the DC area for a month over the holiday season, I ordered multiple times from them, as they carry the raw dog food I use back home in Arizona. So glad I did my homework and found them! They are helpful, stock quality products, and their delivery option was so very helpful to me, as I was staying in Rockville and didn’t have to drive into the city. They delivered to a local vet and I picked up my order from them. Fast delivery with great communication. Monica Weeks: We’ve been coming to The Big Bad Woof for months now to get treats for our dog and have enjoyed the store and neighborhood feel. But they went above and beyond this last trip! I went in to get a jacket for my dog and really had no idea how to make sure the fit was right. I brought my dog in and that was a terrible idea. He’s super aggressive towards dogs and he was nervous. Julie offered to help me in the back of the store which was really their office and warehouse. She brought me several jackets for my dog to try on and kept coming back and forth to make sure we got one that fit and I was happy with. She never made me feel like I was being a nuisance, took time to chat with me, and showed me photos of her own dog. Several of the staff pet my dog, walked around us while they worked, and were so friendly. My husband and I originally started coming here to support a small business. We will keep coming here because of their excellent customer service, genuine love for what they do, and their commitment to helping serve the community they live in.

Chloe Flowers: Big Bag Woof is perfect for our family! We have two dogs and two cats and we can obtain everything we need from here, sometimes even delivered if we are too busy with life to stop by. They’re located right off the red line metro as well which makes picking up food and toys for our pets incredibly easy. The staff there is also very friendly and knowledgeable. Big Bad Woof is an absolute joy to have in the community, we couldn’t be happier with them!

Yes, some things are super specialty and expensive, but there are just as many affordable healthy options too! I love that they regularly host adoption events and seem invested in the community. Austin Graff: We’re not pet owners, but stopped in to but a gift for our neighbor’s dog. The space is big with everything you’d want from toys to biscuits to anything! They have a pet grooming station, a dog biscuit bar and sell small pets like fish, hamsters, birds and snakes!

bFly Young: I gave 4 star because I went to buy a ferret the cage in thr store said one price and when I got to my car to check my receipt. I was charged more then the price on the cage. The man with glasses at the register told me that was the old price but as the consumer I was to pay what you had up in the store. I don't know nor seen anything about a higher price. Acted like he didn't amend the transaction u til I told him I'll file a complaint with the BBB better business bureau because they have to honor what was up in the store. After all that back and forth my daughter got to take home our new family member Dash. He's getting along with my son Bright. Looking forward to adding more to our family but hopefully we won't have another price issue next visit. An they play do well with Chinx our kitten like they're all siblings 😆

The wait was extremely quick--the store must have been well-staffed with knowledgeable salespersons. I thought +$20 for a single Betta fish was ridiculous, but I'm unaware of pricing. I do know I could have feed salmon to a family of four for less...

Joey Abrams: Pretty pedestrian big box pet store. Pet enclosures and tanks seem well managed and maintained. Online pickup order was ready and waiting when we arrived.

Olgamaris Fernandez: This Petco's grooming was HORRIBLE!!! Stay away. I went to pick up my dog (a miniature schnauzer) and he was still dirty, the hair cut was done with uneven scissors all through his body and face, as if it was done by someone with NO EXPERIENCE. Therefore, DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE, EVER!!! Even though they offered a full refund, it does not repair the horrible haircut and going to pick your dog to find him in such conditions.

Father Hood: The online prices are always different from in store. Once you reach your eight bag for free they do not give you your full credit which is a rip off. Will no longer be patronizing this company.

Didn’t see the stomach until we had left the store already - obvious hack job with clippers that shouldn’t have been used in the first place. Nothing is straight or even, totally choppy.

I made a thoughtless purchase and went to return it, I knew it was close to the 30 day window but figured I could get store credit, bc my bad I should have done it sooner. Unfortunately, this store told me that after 30 days my item was worthless - the kicker is that the 30 days expired the previous day. The item was sealed and it cost $9.99. And they refused a store credit, I mean really? If you ever have issues just call petco online. I got a credit for the item. When I first started to work retail I used to act like the money was coming out of my check, glad I grew out of that mindset.

Jacob Hart: "Our return policy is simple – if you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return it to any of our Petco or Unleashed by Petco stores or to one of our petco.com warehouses." - Apparently untrue, my 4 month old puppy destroyed a couple of "ultra durable" toys I bought from this location within half an hour of being given them and I was told by an employee here that Petco was not responsible for my dog's "style of chewing" even if the toy was advertised as durable on their shelves. Stick to Chewy for toys, they'll actually back up their return policy.

Kymie Pleasant: Customer Service here is EXTREMELY HORRENDOUS! Staff is very biased and discriminatory! U walk in & speak you can barely hear a mumble from the staff; no one is welcoming! Today I went in for a bath upon approaching the back I asked was a tub available I was told yes; one tub was occupied one was filthy and the other was too low. I asked if someone could come to clean the filthy tub or raise the grate that was too low on the other. An unwelcoming annoyed staff person rinsed the dirty tub. I was baffled as COVID-19 IS STILL PREVALENT that all he did was rinse the tub; NOT CLEAN BUT RINSE, A RINSE IS NOT CLEANING! I asked was there a cleaning agent to use to actually to clean the tub. ONLY AFTER ASKING did he spray a cleaning agent. He did not thank me for my patience or offer any sort of regret for the filthiness. I was going to proceed with a bath, however I gathered my things along with my dog and exited the building. THIS LOCATION & STAFF IS DISGUISTING! I would never spend another dime at this location. BEWARE!

Zarin B: The girls in grooming (wish i caught their names) were so friendly and helpful with my walk in nail trimming package. I saw one of them was comforting my dog, speaking softly and petting him while the other lady was professionally taking care of his nails. Highly recommend.

Stephen Griffin: I only give a one star for the grooming part of the store. I brought my dog in for a bath and they used absolutely the worse smelling, putrid shampoo ever. It smelled up the entire house, and seemed to stay on forever. They should ask one before hand if they wanted a "fragrant" shampoo used.

Deborah Vollmer: This review is going to be a bit more positive, and also a bit shorter, than the review that I almost posted yesterday. My complaint relates to the cat adoption process, which is actually run by volunteers for Last Chance Animal Rescue at the PetSmart in Bethesda. I had recently lost a dear cat to cancer, a lovely girl that I had adopted from PetSmart around twelve years ago--- and I was very eager to adopt another cat, after a few months of grieving for my previous cat. The volunteers for LCAR delayed in processing my adoption application, and after nearly a month had elapsed, notified me that they didn't see my application as being complete! It was the delay, not the objection to what I submitted, that caused me anguish, as the defects were both debatable, and easily cured at my end. Hopefully, I am now on the way to adopting a cat. What changed this post from what I was literally about to submit yesterday, was a telephone call that I received the Store Manager, Ron, at the Bethesda PetSmart. (He was responding to a phone call that I had previously made to corporate.) Ron heard me out, provided an explanation for the mix-up, and assured me that LCAR was on the way to remedying the situation, and that he believes that I am now on the way to adopting a cat. We agreed that the Covid pandemic has negatively affected the adoption process at PetSmart, in different ways. I still think that the adoption process still needs improvement overall, and that both LCAR and PetSmart can do better. For one thing, it should be easier for potential adopters to communicate with the volunteers working for LCAR at the PetSmart store, about potential adoptions--- and also that the volunteers handling the adoptions should respond to inquiries and requests on a more timely basis.

Benjamin Felz: The pets hotel has the absolute rudest staff. Zero greetings, don’t seem to even like dogs, and no customer service training at all. The person I had the unfortunate time dealing with must have hated their job and life. Extremely short with me and negative towards my dog. Glad I was missing a piece of paper to board him cause I couldn’t image what sort of abuse this women would’ve inflicted to my dog.

Justin Vazquez: Great selection, excellent stop for a long-time dog-lover, first-time dog-owner such as myself! They had a $20 new-dog guide that had coupons which helped me to save on my purchase, and it came with offers for a free grooming session, a free starter training session, and a free night of kenneling. There are great options for shopping online, but it was really great to explore the options in person and take everything home on the spot so it could be ready for us to bring home the newest addition to our family the next day 😊

Baillie Gardunia: Took my golden to the groomers at this Petsmart for the first and last time yesterday. I went to pick my dog up and when they brought her out she could not seem to get out of the store fast enough. I didn't really think anything of it because sometimes she can be anxious at the groomers. I got my dog back home and when I opened the car door there was blood everywhere. I finally figured out that it was coming from her nail that was cut too short. I understand that things happen and maybe my dog flinched and it was an accident. I wouldn't have thought it was a big deal if they told me when I picked her up, but the groomers did not say a word to me about it and did nothing to try to stop the bleeding. So my dog got blood all over herself after I just paid for her bath, and there's blood all over the backseat of my car and in my house.

Liyu He: A DISHONEST STORE . They don’t care about customer experience and be sure they don’t care about your pets’ experience either. Some stuff there are incredibly irresponsible. Items are always hung on a wrong place with a wrong price. I’ve experience this issue three times! The $3 bunch turned out to be $6, and the $2 stuff turned out to be $3.5. When I tried to tell the guy this problem. He was in a rush to go home and said he couldn’t give me the item with price on tag. Excuse me ? It’s just 1 or 2 dollars difference and I already paid for them, so I don’t need you to give me that cheap price.I told you so that you guys be aware of this mistakes. It’s not a big deal, but it’s super annoying always seeing the wrong price. And they clearly don’t care about customer experience. Never going there again!

Nancy Sheehy: My golden doodle loves coming to PETCO in Vienna for grooming. They treat him so sweetly. All the groomers are great but his favorites are Mercedes and Tisha.

Phil Post: Would highly advise not buying any reptiles from here, particularly bearded dragons. They are kept well below the correct temperatures and watched an employee soaking down their enclosure with water, which can cause respiratory issues for the animal. Having an issue with my order, they called the manager and I found that it was the manager who drenched a desert animals enclosure with water, they need significant training on the animals husbandry.

Tony Barros: I find the store to clean, which considering the number of little pet accidents that must occur there, and can not be an easy feat. The staff genuinely appear to enjoy when people bring their pets into the store. An employee at the checkout line took the time to ask each patron at the register about their pet. That interaction added an excellent personal touch to the shopping experience. The cashiers also seem quite observant about the length of the checkout line. The cashiers do request assistance once it looks like a delay has begun. The staff on the floor have always been knowledgeable and friendly.

Liene Bicevskis: Giving a one simply due to one thing... they gave me two guinea pigs that were suppose to be two males but it was a boy and a girl! Which they ended up reproducing (obviously) and I informed them about it, and the manager said what would you like me to do about it? Like seriously? I have been a customer at petco since I’ve owned animals but I stopped going there after that. They don’t care enough about their animals to make sure they’re the right gender and do not care enough about their regular customers.

Kaycee Lu: I like this store but they seem to be understaffed quite a bit. There's been multiple times that we were ready to check out but there wasn't anyone at the registers so we had to walk around the store to find an employee. Besides that it always seems clean and relatively well stocked.

Went into pay inside the store as I always do; was treated EXTREMELY rudely by cashier and manager when I asked if they could break a $50 so I could tip my Groomer. First, was told cashier can't open drawer when I pay by credit card. So, I got back in line and was planning to buy some cheap dog chews and a clearance dog toy. Got to the cashiers again, and was told we don't "break" $50. Even though I was actually buying a chew treat and a small dog toy - just paying cash. Unbelievably poor customer service and rudeness. Cashier then followed me to the grooming center seeing if I left without paying for a toy I was willing to buy to break the $50 even though I left the toy and chew toy with the cashier/manager I was dealing with - HORRIBLE customer service!!! I let the Groomers know I will NOT return. AVOID this PETCO. Find a local business.

They won't pay me for the cost of my dog, my expenses of flyers, or hiring a dog tracker. The worst place ever......

Cholly E.: My Mini Goldendoodle was completely shaved even though I was told that would absolutely not be necessary. The groomer also did not clean his ears properly. He had a ton of wax and hair in them when I picked him up. Also, even though the groomer fully shaved my dog, she was so-called “scared” to shave his private area. My dogs behavior has also completely changed since him being shaved. He has lost all his personality and spunk. It’s very upsetting because my dog doesn’t want to eat and has been sleeping in the bathroom by himself. I called Petco 3 times and left a message to get more information on what happened. No answer. I ended up fixing up my dogs private area myself and taking him to vet to do something about his behavioral change. I will never bring my dog here again.

Anna Maria Shaporynska: Eh, I really don't like being pressured to buy products and two employees up front just would not stop convincing me after I said multiple times I'm not interested in a product. Made me feel like a careless pet owner for not buying it (they insinuated that). Besides that, it's fine. I changed my rating from a 5 star because it really ended up ruining my experience. I understand that they care, but don't pressure your customers so much.

Thu-Nga Ortega, DDS, MAGD: People were helpful. Store is very quiet. If you buy anything here. Look at Petco.com online and you can save yourself 20-30% off. Their petco.com prices are lower. The store will honor their online prices and give you the lower price.

Gabi Pineli: HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION! I first took my dog there for a bath and grooming last October. His appt was at 8am. I called at 10am and 11:30am and I was told he was not ready. I went in at noon and asked how much longer it would take and they said “oh, he was ready”. Months passed, I decided to give it another shot, maybe it was an one time thing. Dropped my dog off at 8am and went inside at 9:45am to see how much longer it would take. Guess what? HE WAS READY! His invoice was printed at 9:12am, so he had been ready for at least 30min and no phone call. Before dropping him off, they asked what was a good number to contact and they already had my number on the file. Of course I called the manager, she said she would address it, but I will NEVER take my dog there again. Getting a bath is already stressful enough for my dog, imagine just sitting there for that long and hearing all the dogs barking and crying, all the noises and everything. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Management is nice, the bath is good, but the lack of communication is a deal breaker, because I feel like this is essential in this kind of business. EDIT: I had gotten over it. I was mad, but I knew I wouldn’t come back here. Until the manager emailed me today saying the team tried to contact time MORE THAN ONCE and my line was busy. I was sitting in the car in the petco parking lot listening to the radio while I was waiting for my dog to be done. Instead of owning up and admitting they messed up, they tried to blame me. Now it makes sense why they have a bad team, with a manager trying to cover for the mess and blaming the costumer instead of owning up and saying they can do better. What a HORRIBLE place. So unprofessional. Ridiculous. Never *again*.

Andy M: I like not having to scan items like Walmart makes you do. I'm a man that gets frustrated easily so I did the sensors and I can pay with card and go home and relax. Raghav Karnam: I ordered online and by the time started and reached the one of fortifora was taken by someone. My understanding is that there would be a hold on it. Turns out not. However, petco customer service reached out and ask to call a number and they would make it right by me. I called and they apologized and gave a great deal and completed my order. Now thats customer service!!

Mariana Moncada: Cancelled my appointment without calling one week and the next one they didn’t know how to read the label of my vaccination record (Novobiac LR) leptospira-rabies and wouldn’t receive him and we’re not flexible to wait for us going to my apartment to get a letter from his vet. I lost my only morning off for two weeks in a row and My draco still hasn’t had a bath.

Rasheda Johnson: Truly grateful to the grooming staff here. My Jazz is 14 years old and suffering with some medical issues and Pet Smart didn’t feel comfortable grooming him anymore. I almost gave up on getting him groomed but I decided to make an appt with Petco and I’m so happy I did. The young lady that checked me in was so wonderful and she thoroughly checked Jazz over and went over the paperwork & I felt relaxed leaving my baby. His groomer did such a wonderful job grooming him. I was very pleased when I picked Jazz up. I feel bad because I forgot his name. I don’t know how much time my Jazz has left but I wanted him to look good, smell good and feel good. So a BIG THANKS to you guys.

Emily Benson: Would totally give Doggy Style 12/10 if we could! Our puppy just went in for her first haircut and major bath, and we were expecting her to be *really* happy to see us. Instead, she was nonplussed because she was having such a great time at the spa. We had taken her somewhere else in the area recently for a bath, and she hated it. The difference between there and Doggy Style is night and day. We are going to try to convert all our fellow dog parents to go to Doggy Style! Thank you so much, Mike the Groomer!

Hannah: ahhh I wanted so badly to love this place. But it was overwhelming for such a small store. There was a worker placed in every single corner, and I felt eyes staring at me the entire time. I felt under pressure and left immediately after buying. Also the dog treats I bought were pretty overpriced.

Stacia Schacter: I had a really sketchy experience here...be sure to check your credit card statement after going to this groomer. I brought my dog in for a full grooming and paid $110. The next day, there were two charges for $110 on my credit card. I called Doggy Style to let them know and asked them to reverse the second charge. The woman did not help and never followed up. I eventually had to dispute the charge as fraud with my credit card company. In addition, when we arrived, they did not have the correct details regarding my dogs appointment and said they would not be able to accommodate his appointment because they were tight on time. This clearly wasn’t true as I had received several texts confirming the appointment details. Once I stated this, they miraculously had time to complete the scheduled services. Overall, it was a really bad experience. In the future, I will go to a groomer that doesn’t steal from or lie to its customers.

Mike S.: Great customer service. Independently and locally owned. They did a great job turning our sweet rescue dog into a rock star, and the little guy loved it! Kudos to Mike the Groomer!

Mark Stern: I love Doggy Style! They have a great selection of toys and treats, including adorable homemade treats that my dog adores. The grooming service is excellent. My dog always smells wonderful and Mike manages to clip her nails, which she won’t let me do! A wonderful place.

Carmen Cabrera: Amazing Staff and Good quality food and treats. The new groomer Jennifer is amazing. Made my little Zoe Bear look Pawgeous!

Tom: Fantastic staff. Great local store for both dog products and grooming. Call well in advance for grooming appointments, which take 2-3 hours. My puppy loved the groomer and kissed him goodbye! I wish they opened a little earlier on weekends.

Matt C.: This place is the best. I take my dog to get his nails trimmed here and the employees are all very friendly and helpful. There's a great selection of toys, treats, or whatever else you might need for your pet.

Philip I.: I am extremely skeptical that they gave my dog a bath yesterday. My house is covered in shedded fur just from him sleeping overnight. The picture included is after 2 brushstrokes. I gave them a call and they said the paperwork states that a bath was given and that their hands were tied. My interactions with the employees have otherwise been excellent.

Emily Oliver: Booked the furmintaor treatment that usually takes 4 hours. They only bathed and barely brushed. They did not do a sanitary shave or clip nails. Once I called and I asked what happened, was told it was my fault for not specify want I wanted. However, upon drop off I offered specifics of what I wanted. Photo shows how much fur came off my dog less than 24hrs after grooming service that was supposed to included deshedding.

T C: Our 7 month old shepherd mix goes to doggy daycare here and loves it. They have parties and a mixed daily schedule all for a reasonable price. Only gave 4 stars because it takes about 20 minutes on hold to make a reservation, drop off takes between 5-20 and pick up takes another 20.

Elizabeth Keene: Wow!! Alex and Andrea were amazing. As a new puppy mom I was so anxious. Would my pup be scared, would he cooperate, would the groomers be nice to him and all these worries went away immediately when I met both gentlemen. Andrea answered all my questions and walked me through the process and what type of tools and cut my pup would get. Andrea gave my pup a wash and I could hear him talking to him like it was his puppy. It put me at ease right away. Alex gave Cashew his trim and it came out great!! I knew Cashew was comfortable when he was giving kisses to Alex and snuggling into him. It melted my heart.

Susan Belote: Beware!!! Horrible grooming experience - Groomer cut my dog and did nothing to seek medical attention!! It started with the groomer calling me to let know my dog was stressed and throwing up and when I asked questions to try and clarify what was wrong the woman hung up on me. When I got there the groomer had left and no one claimed to know what happened. They have me my dog half wet. Update: I got her home and noticed she was licking her rear end excessively. I found where the groomer cut her pretty bad and didn't tell me! I called the store after I discovered it and management informed me they were given a "heads up" and have promised to pay for her vet visit... Let's hope they will follow through. There is no excuse for a groomer to lie to me and neglect getting my dog medical attention as soon as she realized she was hurt. Instead she put my dog in the kennel and left her scared, wet, and in pain.

Chuck B: Customer service is not very good, I have come to this store a few times and always had to wait a long time to get assistance. In addition, at checkouts there only appears to be one person. For a big store of this size and with its very large inventory, they are understaffed. One thing that is worth noting is the amount of inventory they have is great, and that they offer purchase and/or adoption for cats and dogs.

Shelley Folk: Don’t board your pets here. Boarded my dog over the weekend she was shaking when I picked her up. As soon as we were outside, she went to the bathroom. I have never seen her pee so much, even if I’m late getting home. Poor thing must have been holding it forever. It makes me wonder if she was let out at all. She must have been in there a cruel amount of time. The store is fine, but PetsHotel is terrible.

Shelby Sternberg: I've always had a good experience at this Pet Smart! My pup goes to Day Camp here and is always excited to go in. I've also had great experience with the team when it regards questions about food, treats, toys, etc. Awesome team!!

Chiquita Smalls: This is the second time I have gotten all the way to my scheduled appointment for my puppy Just for me to be told that Chloe would not be seen. The staff is very unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. I was speaking with the front desk clerk whom was explaining to me that being though my puppy just received shots 48hrs ago I will have to reschedule Chloe appointment. While I’am explaining letting her know that when I checked yes for that question on the online check in form no one notified me nor canceled the appointment that’s why I thought it was okay. A tomboy looking female I wish I remembered her name but she was suppose to be servicing another pet who was in her care and she rudely indulge in my conversation and began to speak to me in a aggressive tone. Which I thought was very unprofessional of her and out of place. The profanity was uncalled for and totally out of line. She made me feel very uncomfortable about rescheduling another appointment with this particular petsmart. Also when dealing with someone pet I feel she was being careless instead of finishing up her job she chose to argue with a customer who was not originally talking to her while having hot clippers in her hand very unprofessional and unsafe. This incident happened on May 12th around 1pm. If you have a huge black dog not sure of the breed check you dog for anything out of the ordinary. I just remembered the tomboy name as I continue to type. I was told by the manager DeeDee that her name is PeePee not sure if I have the correct spelling but yes she very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional and should not be servicing anyone pet…

Brendan Broas: sad to say I didnt get the correct food brand for my dog while I had him and had Zero help from everyone inside to get Royal C. for Golden Retrievers wich saddens me that I was ignored to the overwhelming loss of my rehoming and easily correctable situation I had with his digestive system. Was actually advised a certain off brand for his stomach that was for adault and and upset him even more as it was pushed on me I didn't even realize that.Months later see where the brand is that I wanted and he is already rehoused, when it coulda been a easily fixed issue.Customer service Thats not personal tho just a factual talking point.

Ayanna Nahmias: It is impossible to find a cat groomer in this area. Ferme is incredible, he is kind and an expert groomer. My cat always comes back looking good, feeling happy, and purring happily. :-)

Michael Thomas: A good store, usually has everything I need for my ball python and cat in stock. Recent supply chain issues are starting to affect inventory, at least for wet cat food. But they still have way more choices than my local grocery stores.

Hailey Duncan: Mr. Sam was incredibly nice with my dog for his grooming. We had a bad grooming experience at another groomer and I was a bit nervous to leave my dog again. My dog was happy to see me and went back to give Mr. Sam a goodbye kiss. His work is great and even the other dog owners in the salon had great things to say while we waited to get checked in.

Heather Bodenhamer: I have another groomer I use, a private one and she’s amazing but was really booked up. So I naively thought let’s try petco. I get that you get what you pay for but I was shocked. My puppy had matted fur as it reaches a point of no return especially from the snow, winter, sweaters etc. So they told me they’d have to go short and I thought okay, they won’t have to make her bald right? Well I’ll post photos and let you decide. It just seems they could have kept some hair or trimmed down the matted parts and brushed them out, they had her for 4 hours. My biggest complaint though is that they shaved her eye lashes and whiskers and her face is so choppy and uneven. It really just feels this was the lazy way to cut or they don’t care. I highly recommend a private grooming place versus petco if you have a long haired dog.

Kathleen Richter: This is the 2nd time we've used Petco to groom our dog's nails, and we've been totally satisfied with the care the groomers take to make Oreo comfortable, the job they do, and the availability of time slots to come in for service.

Nicole Farrak: I have previously had good experiences with this Petco location for grooming, however, the last appointment my dog had on May 23 was by far the worst grooming experience yet. My dog is a standard poodle and was requested to be shaved down with a clean face, trimmed ears and top knot. Her body was all different lengths, her feet were just as long as her hair was before I dropped her off and completely uneven, her top knot was almost completely cut off but was also different lengths and no longer in the typical poodle rounded shape, her ears werent trimmed at all and were the original length that was dropped off and her tail had a bunch of mattes in it that was requested to be shaved down completely. Additionally, her clean face at tuffs of hair that were long throughout as well as having shaving burn on her nose when the clippers got too close or too hot. They had my dog from 8am-3pm and this is completely unacceptable. I have to take my dog to another groomers to help fix what they missed/did incorrectly. According to the receipt, her groomer was named Fermin.

I really want to thank Nick for all his help looking for my pet's food which was unavailable everywhere. A very happy customer. More than 5 stars for you Nick! 👍

Kat Edwards: Great little store with an awesome selection of high quality pet products. Only issue was I was looking for some winter gear for me very, very small pup and though they had some excellent winter gear, it was only size medium or above. I am going to guess they were just out of the tiny dog apparel. If you live in Clarendon, Roslyn, or Courthouse this a great place for high-quality pet food.

Tilly Lo: First time visiting this Loyal Companion location today. The gentleman working there was very friendly and informative. He managed to get my not-so-friendly pup to want some attention from him. They have a great selection of specialty pet products. the staff is very friendly and the store is well organized and clean. When I am in the area again, i will definitely shop here again. UPDATED: I found this Fresh is Best Chicken Heart Bites at this Loyal Campanion location and my finicky pups love them!!! They already ate 1/2 bag. I'm going to need to pick up more!

Lori Howard: Many thanks to Jason at the Arlington Loyal Companion location for reassuring us over the phone that he would wait for our arrival, even if we were a few minutes past the closing time. When I went to pay, he didn't just finish the transaction and shoo us out the door... he went the extra step of reminding me that I may have one of their new Friends and Family coupons in my email, which I did! And he honored it, saving me $40! And then as he walked us out, he gave my sweet doggies Smokey and April a handful of treats before closing for the evening. Smokey counts on his CBD Oil by Wholistic Hound for controlling his seizures. So glad this shop carries the 1000 mg bottle. Excellent service, wonderful shop, great products! Thanks so much.

J Y: All of the workers at Loyal are friendly, personable, and always exceed my expectations when it comes to customer service. Prior to getting my pup, we were unsure of which food to purchase. They took the time to discuss the many raw food options they carry. They are knowledgeable of the many options they have. Loyal is very accommodating as I have a picky pup and are always willing to order specific food for us. Overall, I highly recommend this Loyal Companion.

Jason B: Meh, maybe it's because I go to other stores typically, but it's just meh. I know it was Saturday, but the one employee in the store while showed me some options did it begrudgingly and the moment they saw a way out, went to another part of the store. I wouldn't say they mocked me, but they weren't exactly nice nor professional. Anyhow, if you want some different dog food, it's fine, but I wouldn't run here.

Leu Gillem: I would give it 6 stars if I could. The team is awesome. We have been taking our Rhodesian Ridgeback, Kymba, there since she was a pup. The team (and Kona, the awesome Great Dane) greets her by name when we walk in. They provide her with a treat, so it's become a regular stop on our walks. The staff is super nice, personable, knowledgeable, and all simply good people overall. We genuinely feel welcome at Loyal Companion every time we step foot in the store. Prices are competitive, especially since they incorporated a simple point system where you get X dollars in credit for X dollars spent in store. We get all our food (and treats) there. They are super accommodating. They provide car side pick-up and when there are too many dogs in the store, they will come outside and greet you. They do good in the community too. They hold pet adoption events & they allow local animal business to advertise their services. Ryan, Meesh, Emily, Jason, (and Brittany) are the best. Service 12/10 Pricing 9/10 Knowledge 10/10 Value 10/10

Leah Creamer: I came in looking for a sensitive stomach food formula for my dog who had recently started vomiting, and instead got a 15 min private consultation! Jason was very knowledgeable about all the food options and gave me detailed information about each brand to help me make the best decision. He also talked me through when his own dogs had similar GI problems and encouraged me to see my vet, but in the meantime recommended a great hydrating/electrolyte replenishing option in the form of goat's milk. Our dog loved the goat milk formula and was soon on the mend! Thank you Jason!

Daminic Davenport: I want to start off by saying I spent hundreds of dollars over the years before they change their name to loyal companion. I really enjoy coming to this shop until today. The individual tending the store was very rude, dismissive and pushy. As I went to put my food on the counter to be rung up the individual immediately said you need to step back. I have no problem keeping the social distancing in place but the way he demanded me to step back made me feel threatened. He then goes on to ramble about how he’s attempting to social distance as much as possible and he began to act agitated and starts to threaten to not serve me for not having a mask on. I stated to him there was no sign on the door stating I had to wear a mask nor did anyone stop me at the door asking me to wear one. He then stated that it was common sense to have a mask on. I truly felt patronized and profiled as the gentleman leaving before I walked in had no mask and wasn’t spoken to the way I was. I then stated I would be happy to put on a mask if you would put the sign on the door stating it’s required he then continued to say I don’t have to serve you technically so I asked for his name and and he said why are you going to complain about me? I said I’m going to write a letter and he said good my name is Jason. The customer service with this individual was so rude I will never shop here again and I will be writing a letter to the corporate office because no one should be treated this way. I hope all of the employees are not the same because they will continue to loose business with Jason.

Zack Schwartz: Great store! Good selection of healthy options for my cats, lots of toys and other things they need. The people there are absolutely the best -- Brittanie, Emily and Michelle (and their dogs) are friendly and helpful. Strongly recommend.

Shelby Cox: I love having this pet store within walking distance of my home. The staff is always so kind and helpful. My dog loves all the treats and food from this store. Also I love the harness and coat that I bought for my dog by Canada Pooch. I don't know what it is but it is like a perfume or something on the coat I got and it smells so wonderful and it must have come from the store. It makes my dog smell great too. Will continue going to this store.

Tricia Ting: Very happy with our pet grooming. Reuben did his best to save some length in our dog’s matted long hair. Much better than shaving down to the skin as has been our past experience elsewhere.

Hannah T: We feel so lucky to have this store in our neighborhood! It is so clean (no “dog” smell) and has a great selection of high-quality products. There are treat samples out so that you do not have to buy a whole bag and guess if your dog will like it. The staff is always helpful and kind.

Esther Goldschlager: We love Elysiem! My dog is groomed by the best dog groomer (the dog groomer to the doggie stars) - Reuben. My dog is elderly and requires some extra love and care. Reuben is incredibly patient with my dog and always styles him like he's living in Los Angeles and ready to strut up and down Rodeo Drive! Thank you, Reuben!

Liza Sitz: Absolute amazing job grooming and bathing my dog! They were so efficient, friendly, and well-priced! The best part was that I only had to leave her for an hour to get groomed, where other places will want her to stay for at least four hours. I will absolutely return!! Highly recommend!

Ben Morlock: John and his team provide excellent service. His walkers take care of our dog like he’s their own. His store is the only one in our area that carries our dog’s brand of food. And they even deliver it for us when we’re running low. We also appreciate that when we do business with John, we’re supporting a veteran and a small business owner. We highly recommend him to every pet parent in the area.
