Allison Guy: This Petco might be good for other things, but the conditions their birds are kept in are nightmarish. The parakeets do not have adequate perches of different sizes, any chewing toys, and they are fed on a cheap, unhealthy all-seed diet. I also watched as a woman pried open one of the plexiglass doors and let a budgie escape. As for the parrots, well, have a look at the photo — a tiny enclosure with no opportunity to climb, chew, fly or have social interaction. Same unhealthy seed diet, water bowls full of droppings. Their heads were full of painful pin feathers because they had no bird or human companion to groom them. Imagine sitting on the same perch in a glass box all day with nothing to do, for weeks and months on end. This is absolute torture for such a smart, social animal.

carolyn jackson: My son and I love, love, love this store. We are here every week doing a fish tank water sample test. The manager Donnell in the fish dept. Is very nice, helpful. knowledgeable, and professional. He and the staff are always ready to help you in any way. It a fun store to shop.

Dani Rios: We casually visited this store and left with the best impression. The nice cashier seemed sincerely interested in learning about our puppy and gave us some great tips about the excessive chewing. We regret not asking her name, she was a nice African American lady. Thank you!

Sarah Levine: I did a puppy training class with Jen and she is an excellent trainer. She understands dog behavior and how to use positive training to get results. My puppy started off hating going into the store and by the end she was dragging me in because she was so excited to go to class. I highly recommend taking training classes with Jen.

Courtney: Jill was so helpful and informative—just got a puppy and she helped us find the right cleaning spray for accidents in the house. The store was clean and organized. Will be coming to this Petco in DC from now on!

Summer Bryant Campell: Mr. Darnell was very knowledgeable and compassionate about the proper living space, food and bedding for the newest addition to our family our guinea pig. You can tell he loves animals and wants the very best for them. Ms. Alexis, who was at the register when we bought our guinea, gave her a check once over and reminded us to check our guinea’s ears, nails and reminded us of possible bald patches that can be caused by ring worm and / or mites. She was also very caring and showed our guinea lots of love. The professionalism, and customer we experience each time we shop at this Petco keeps us coming back.

keshieshimmer M: I work in retail so I get that customers can be out of line sometimes. I made a thoughtless purchase and went to return it, I knew it was close to the 30 day window but figured I could get store credit, bc my bad I should have done it sooner. Unfortunately, this store told me that after 30 days my item was worthless - the kicker is that the 30 days expired the previous day. The item was sealed and it cost $9.99. And they refused a store credit, I mean really? If you ever have issues just call petco online. I got a credit for the item. When I first started to work retail I used to act like the money was coming out of my check, glad I grew out of that mindset.

Cilver: This is a great store with a friendly staff. Mr. Deon, Ms. Isis, Mr. Ricardo and Ms. Alana are always ready to help and they always give great customer service. Thank you! janice don: Great place for all of your supplies. May not have everything; my cat requires special food, but it has enough for those basic needs.

Benjamin Dempe: I love Petco. The staff was awesome and very helpful. I do feel like their stock was fairly depleted and we only ended up getting around half of what we needed. I'm not sure if it was just a restock day or if I've just gotten too use to Chewy, but I ended up going home and getting several items online.

Jacob Hart: "Our return policy is simple – if you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return it to any of our Petco or Unleashed by Petco stores or to one of our petco.com warehouses." - Apparently untrue, my 4 month old puppy destroyed a couple of "ultra durable" toys I bought from this location within half an hour of being given them and I was told by an employee here that Petco was not responsible for my dog's "style of chewing" even if the toy was advertised as durable on their shelves. Stick to Chewy for toys, they'll actually back up their return policy.

Kymie Pleasant: Customer Service here is EXTREMELY HORRENDOUS! Staff is very biased and discriminatory! U walk in & speak you can barely hear a mumble from the staff; no one is welcoming! Today I went in for a bath upon approaching the back I asked was a tub available I was told yes; one tub was occupied one was filthy and the other was too low. I asked if someone could come to clean the filthy tub or raise the grate that was too low on the other. An unwelcoming annoyed staff person rinsed the dirty tub. I was baffled as COVID-19 IS STILL PREVALENT that all he did was rinse the tub; NOT CLEAN BUT RINSE, A RINSE IS NOT CLEANING! I asked was there a cleaning agent to use to actually to clean the tub. ONLY AFTER ASKING did he spray a cleaning agent. He did not thank me for my patience or offer any sort of regret for the filthiness. I was going to proceed with a bath, however I gathered my things along with my dog and exited the building. THIS LOCATION & STAFF IS DISGUISTING! I would never spend another dime at this location. BEWARE!

Austin Graff: We’re not pet owners, but stopped in to but a gift for our neighbor’s dog. The space is big with everything you’d want from toys to biscuits to anything! They have a pet grooming station, a dog biscuit bar and sell small pets like fish, hamsters, birds and snakes!

bFly Young: I gave 4 star because I went to buy a ferret the cage in thr store said one price and when I got to my car to check my receipt. I was charged more then the price on the cage. The man with glasses at the register told me that was the old price but as the consumer I was to pay what you had up in the store. I don't know nor seen anything about a higher price. Acted like he didn't amend the transaction u til I told him I'll file a complaint with the BBB better business bureau because they have to honor what was up in the store. After all that back and forth my daughter got to take home our new family member Dash. He's getting along with my son Bright. Looking forward to adding more to our family but hopefully we won't have another price issue next visit. An they play do well with Chinx our kitten like they're all siblings 😆

George Thomas Wood, III: Nice folks. We get our doggy daughters groomed there every 3 weeks or so. They are busy so sometimes it takes a while.

Harlan Harris: My Daughter-in-law went to purchase a fish and tank for her elementary classroom/students. I did not go in. She returned with both items, fish food, and water treatment. The wait was extremely quick--the store must have been well-staffed with knowledgeable salespersons. I thought +$20 for a single Betta fish was ridiculous, but I'm unaware of pricing. I do know I could have feed salmon to a family of four for less...

Joey Abrams: Pretty pedestrian big box pet store. Pet enclosures and tanks seem well managed and maintained. Online pickup order was ready and waiting when we arrived.

Olgamaris Fernandez: This Petco's grooming was HORRIBLE!!! Stay away. I went to pick up my dog (a miniature schnauzer) and he was still dirty, the hair cut was done with uneven scissors all through his body and face, as if it was done by someone with NO EXPERIENCE. Therefore, DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE, EVER!!! Even though they offered a full refund, it does not repair the horrible haircut and going to pick your dog to find him in such conditions.

Father Hood: The online prices are always different from in store. Once you reach your eight bag for free they do not give you your full credit which is a rip off. Will no longer be patronizing this company.

Cody Laliberte: Asked for a trim around the legs and back end, but our dog ended up with a shaved stomach and butt. Didn’t see the stomach until we had left the store already - obvious hack job with clippers that shouldn’t have been used in the first place. Nothing is straight or even, totally choppy.

Jn Clark: Had a GREAT experience at the PetSmart Dakota Crossing grooming salon. My puppy is 6 months so he had the big fluffy hair (which I loved) but it’s time for a change. I asked his grooming artist to take him down but leave a little. I picked him up and was in awe, he looked so handsome. I love all the staff!! Andre F was great, will be back in a few weeks.

august belt: The 2 batch of fish I got from them has literally only lasted a week max , the previous fish I had got has lasted 5 months so far ( a few passed ) , but now I am completely unsatisfied because I spend so much money with them, from dogs, Guinea pigs, fish . Water test strips are great. Ammonia everything I am so upset . One passed overnight , return home from work and here is the other only lasted 7 days literally

Queen Me: This has been one of the worst business establishment ever! I took a healthy 6 yo Puppy there. He went in for a hair cut came out with small red rashes all over his body. I took him home he did not eat or drink that night. Took him to the animal emergency room where they billed me $400 to say it was the hair cut! It was not done correctly the clippers were too hot, dirty and so on! I called the store and the grooming manger says oh the groomer is new and I will give you 40% off! I’m sick to my stomach! This is my child and all you can offer me is 40% and lies ! I’m so disappointed and sadden it’s been two days yet this is hard my puppy is not doing well! This my first fur baby! Never again! If I could rate it 0 stars I would do -100!

Kevin Spann: CSR's always so friendly and helpful. Good selection of merchandise and the REWARDS program is very helpful. They provide for all my dogs needs.

Algenon Walters: I took my dog in to be groomed a week ago Monday, February 21, 2022. The groomer who provided the service was Jasmyn. As a result of my visit my puppy experienced issues due in part to his cut. She shaved my puppy extremely close over his entire body and did a poor job ensuring his facial hair or his ears were cut evenly. I ended up having to take him to the Vet which resulted in a bill of $300.00 due in part to the stress caused by his haircut. I will never use this PetSmart again and certainly wouldn’t recommend her for grooming services.

Ms C.M.: I took my pup to be groomed Saturday. They butchered my baby. I notice lastnite a nick on back of his leg an his ears were still dirty an smelly. His nails were cut too low i notice blood on paw. 1st an last time using them. They charged 101.00 for what i don't know

Phyllis Harris: Groomer left a sour taste in my mouth. The whole department seemed like a “us vs them” team thing. When I had a problem they all seemed offended instead of wanting to fix the issue and suggested since I am not happy maybe I should find another groomer. Yup, I agree. ESPECIALLY when I arrived my dog was howling and cry barking and they acted like no one heard her. I know that to be the “potty cry” and they were just ignoring it. Then once I asked them to go get her so she wouldn’t be so upset while we were discussing an issue with the bill. Her eyes were still dirty and crusty and I wonder why after a bath and cut her eyes were so messy and they said it was probably from her crying and being upset without me. Goodness. I have a Standard Poodle that is spoiled and LOVES being groomed so this is just weird…they just don’t seem like they LIKE grooming.

Lizzie Sorrell: Everything in this store is way over priced. Brought some fish for my grandson woke up the next morning to find all of them dead. I guess the clean water was to much for them. Safe to say we will not be returning.

Danielle Arandia: The grooming at this location is awful. I’ve been using Petsmart for a nail trim/grind for years and per Petsmart’s website and every other location, this is a walk up service, no appt needed; in fact most other locations won’t even let me schedule an appt. Every time we go here for a nail trim, we get turned away and told to make an appt. When I call to make an appt (bc you cannot make this type of appt online) they’re “full.” It literally takes 10 min each time to get my pup’s nails trimmed so it’s quite ridiculous. My final straw with this location was finally getting an appt and then come to find out they scheduled us in Falls Church?! I’m so over this location. Go somewhere else.

Terrance Hobson: If you have a choice, NEVER come to this Petsmart for grooming. I had an appointment at 10am and they told me come back at 2pm. At 2pm, they told me to come back 3:30. I arrived at 3:30 and they haven’t even started on my dog yet! I’m never coming back to this Petsmart again.

When being in customer serivce you have to have customer serivce ! Friendly attitude … so once she repeated herself I asked her if she was having a bad day because her attitude was bad her answer to that was “ yeah I’m having a bad day and your making it worse by asking me these questions “ almost like her job wasn’t customer serivce . So I asked to speak to a manager and that was just as bad ! When speaking to TONY he acted like it was okay what she said and was bushing me off almost rushing me off the phone … if that’s how you want to run a store then maybe you shouldn’t be open .. just a food for thought . I’m not one to write reviews or even call Corporate but today was different and I definitely did

Jordsn Williams: Purchased 2 snakes from Mike. First off really nice guy! Very well educated and certainly cares about his reptiles and customers too. I was extremely impressed at his record keeping on feedings, dates, types of food offered. Snakes are both healthy, socialized, well fed, just all around great snakes. If you’re interested in a snake/reptile Mike is the guy you want to work with hands down. prices are fair and he won’t take a dime from you unless you completely satisfied with what you’re getting. I really appreciated that a few days after the purchase I was able to text him with a few questions that came up and he came back with super fast responses and his willingness to help shows me he’s in it for the reptiles and their well being not the money. Kate Williams: These guys have terrible attitudes and believe they know everything about every fish. You tell them why you want to pick a certain fish they tell u your wrong and hang the net n the tank, in the way to disturb them and u can’t make your selection. If you’ve only raised a certain fish for decades n know a lot about them try it when you hear false info they’ll get very upset, not even in a debate but just make a statement about the breed n the fish gods loose it. Never seen so much fish ego. This happened twice with2 different people. They may adjust if this ever gets read.

Muhammad Hashmi: So I don't know where to begin. Great atmosphere and helpful people. I especially enjoyed their taste test but the pufferfish was a little weird. Can't wait to go back and sign up for another taste test when platypus is in season!

Rupert Shaughn: You definitely could tell that the people working there knew what they were talking about and had a passion for marine life. With that being said, if you're planning to use the restroom, be wary of the severed head in the toilet. I especially loved the clownfish! I brought one home and named it Tommy.

Anthony “Yellowhat43” Booth: Great staff....but the usual large selection of blue buffalo cat food has slowly been dwindling for months. Doesn't look like it's ever been restocked, just grabbed the last bag..... And it's $44. I have to order now...but at least it'll only be $26 a bag delivered to my door.....sorry. I tried.

T Parks: Very clean cuts and a great overall job on my yorkie. We don't do a breed specific cut. The scissor work around the face is very even which is hard to do because my pup moves a ton. Staff at this particular Petco on this day this day were not excited to be there It seemed but they were friendly enough and made my dog feel at ease. The prices are ridiculous right now $70 to bathe and trim a 10 pound dog. Ridiculous!

Brandon Lauer: Petco is the place to go for small pets, fish, supplies and food. My store in Lansdowne, MD has never had any dirty tanks or aquariums and the animals always look to be healthy and happy

Anthony Spampinato: I am actually very surprised that this Petco has the ratings it does for grooming. I just moved into the area from the city and took our Golden Retriever in there to be groomed. I kind of understand why they make you pay before you get your dog back. Not because they’re afraid of a groom and dash, but to make sure you pay them for their chop shop service. They legit made my dog look like she had steps going up to her ears the way that they chopped it up. It is honestly hard to look at. In addition there is ZERO chance that they cut her nails as they are still quite long and pointy. She is terrible in the car, but I will suffer through and take her back to Canton Petco. If you have a Golden, don’t do it, trust me…

Naijha Wright-Brown (Naijha Speaks): Petco delivery is so convenient, however, there are times when I still need to make that store run. The Tidy Cat litter was on sale for $4!!!! The large box!!!! I wish I would have purchased two. Thank you so much! And, the Petco credit card is icing on the cake. My cats have their OWN credit card. Life is good!

Jeff Corcelius: It's come a good way recently. It was really messy at one point. Not a bad place for pet supplies. They had a lot of puppies in training when I stopped in.

Joshua Byrd: They have a really friendly staff and the groomers are great. All of the Stagg are pet lovers and can point you to the best products for your pet at any price point. And the best part is that they use them on their pets. The groomers are great, friendly, and knowledgeable. They can get the most unruly dogs trimmed and touched up quicker than I ever could lol.

Vicki Offenbacher: I had Toby in for a hair cut. It turned out so so, very choppy, and I spent about a half hour straightening it out. But, its the second time I've been there and the girl asked if I wanted the Essentials. I said no. She said she asked me so she charged me. I told that is why I book on line. I had to pay again. But the next time, if there is a next time I will be very vocal and upset. This is highway robbery. If I wanted it I would have added it on-line. No a good upsell technique.

Christina LillBellSpark: Unacceptable care of their guinea pigs. Making about 5-6 Guinea pigs be clumped up in a small tank, allowing only the smallest bit of pellets in there bowls, zero to no Timothy hay and workers walked right past the issue.

James LeBlanc: Horrible customer service! They did an ok job grooming my Yorkiepoo, (her 3rd grooming there) however they were unable to buff her nails since she is 10 months old and still jerks away too much. Since they only had one groomer on staff there was no one to hold her so they didn't do her nails- but they still charged me for the entire package that includes the nails!!! When I questioned the price, instead of crediting me for the next grooming or having her come in when they had more groomers, they completely disregarded my concern and demanded payment. Absolutely no attempt at making it right. Just "we couldn't do her nails but we can't separate that cost from the package so you owe us $99!!! Really, really rude and dismissive. They have just lost a regular customer.

Brittany Rodgers: I really hope this store is able to get back to where they used to be. Staff is great but some things are dramatically going downhill.

Nick Held: I am big fan of this location! Very nice that it’s in a shopping center like this so you can stop in while you’re already out for some pet food, litter, etc. Pretty big selection and nice staff, definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

Lara Richards: Helpful but not pushy. Impressive stock quality & organization. Twice as many great sales; (unlike the "other one") pay attn yellow tickets & bins. Best supply of small dog travel carriers & rain jackets by far. Tif-tif plays with Kong pink mouse toy. Next pic she wears the comfy breathable cross vest, matching cobalt blue thin 6 ft leash, bandana - her signature style (love finding coordinating or funky mash ups). Honorable mention Lamb Chop, you CANNOT fail with it.

Mary Busch: Paid for the year unlimited nail trim and teeth brushing and wish I could take it back. There have been multiple instances of ringing it up wrong or the system being down leading to extensive delays (up to an hour once). We have shown up without an appointment because the website says they take walk ins and been turned away and told we needed an appointment. And last time I went the woman at the grooming station was extremely unprofessional and irresponsible. She didn’t say hello or greet me at all. I stood at the desk in front of her for a few min before another employee told her to help me. She still didn’t greet me, just stared at me and I told her I had an appointment. When she brought my first dog back out from the back she walked her straight up to another dog with both dogs on leash. Luckily that dog was calm so there wasn’t a fight but I was horrified. I asked her not to do that again and she grunted in response and took my other dog. The other customer apologized profusely because she could see I was upset and I explained I wasn’t upset with her or her dog but with the staff member for being irresponsible. Then the same staff member brought my other dog out and did the EXACT SAME THING with my other dog and a different customers dog. Again no fight occurred, both dogs did fine with it but I am literally so upset I don’t want to ever go back even though I paid for a whole year. No apology or anything from this woman, just blatant disregard for the safety and security of the pets involved.

Chuck Ziethen: Awesome show as usual but they're outgrowing the venue. Super diverse selection of reptiles and other small creatures (rabbits, ferrets, etc) as well as supplies (tanks, food, etc). People staffing the event as well as the vendors were super friendly and always took time to answer questions or educate people. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the venue, while conveniently located, is small and the show could double it's size if given the room. I highly recommend.

Janet Williams: Everyone that works there are super helpful. They greet me with smiles, go out of their way to help. The store is always clean. I tried a new product for my dog and he loves it.

Jessica Woodruff: If I could put zero stars I would, this place is the worst of the petco's I have been to. I went to purchase fresh water fish as I am starting to keep fish, the man that was supposed to be there as the professional was on vacation, so I had someone who is very inexperienced trying to capture the fish, also all the employees acted like they didn't want to be there, like they hated their jobs. The Yin and Yang guppies we got died, nothing to do with my setup, they could not keep themself under the water, they kept floating to the top, and not wanting to eat, I should have known something was up when the whole tank of guppies were doing it at the pet store, but I figure it was nothing. The fish are very ill and diseased here, the people that work here do not even care for the animals, one of the ferrets I saw had marks on his nose, they were awake and seemed happy, but still. I feel bad for the animals there, they deserve better, at least the Petco in Morgantown WV is better, and thankfully cares for their animals, I highly recommend Petco in Morgantown WV NOT Washington PA Petco!!

Overcome Everything Josh: Though I do not have an issue with Petco in general, this location is disappointing. I have twice driven 20 minutes each way to get products that are wrongly said to be in stock. The clerks act like it’s just a normal thing. As a multiple business owner, this sounds like very poor middle management. DO NOT TRUST their website for in store pickups. You’ll waste so much time. If you’re like me where time is money, beware. I won’t even get into the massive discrepancy of prices that are in store to online. Make sure you price match everything. I use that for 2 specific things regularly and is the only reason they are not getting 1 star. Pet Smart is across the street and they price match their in store products to their website as well as chewy! Go there unless your just ordering online. This place is very disappointing to go into. I would suggest a revamp to the brick and mortar or it will fall to online vendors. Their online ordering is fine. This review is only for the brick and mortar Washington Pa location.

Megan Childs: I stopped by your store to grab a couple things and to look into purchasing a new lizard. When I went looking, I found one that had been dead for quite some time. It was hard and stiff and it's body was sunken in. I told the boy who worked there and he quickly removed it. I don't see myself purchasing any animals from this location, just out of precaution.

Kristin Weinman: My dog was first appointment of the day and they kept him 5 hours. He gets groomed regularly every 5 to six weeks and has no mats or tangles. He has had the same groomer for over 2 years, unfortunately she left and this was a new groomer to my dog. He is a poodle but they didn't clean the hair from his ears. He had 3 Nick's from groomer. Acted very odd for a week. Had several accidents, kept jumping, biting, chewing and licking himself. Had to take him to vet for treatment of skin.

Morgan Snyder: I walked in there to buy a ball python. I got one thinking that I would have trouble getting it to eat but he ate and still does eat really good. He loves to held too. Overall, the place is great. The employees are super nice too. But, I do have a couple problems. The person who sold the ball python too me didn't give me enough information about the snake. Also, the snake did come with mites, but after 3 baths they went away. If you are going to buy from here, make sure you do a lot of reasearch and ask questions.

Eli SH: Walked in because I love exotic animals, it was an amazing experience. Felt no pressure to buy anything, which was nice. At other exotic pet stores I've gone to the workers won't talk to you about an animal unless you are going to buy it, or if they do they are very annoyed but the workers here genuinely love answering questions and educating you. I am a bird owner and was so pleased to see how happy theirs were. They do have parrots that at first glance are in rough shape (can be alarming if you aren't educated on birds) but they are rescues and it's obvious they are on the mend and happy birds. Was thrilled to see that just as much care is put into the smaller birds as well. I bought a parakeet to bring home to my flock of four (now five) and she was so easy to tame and train, so they clearly interact with their birds often. I'm not nearly as educated on reptiles but from my basics as a vet tech student they are well taken care of and their environments are full of enrichment too, which is awesome to see at a store. Would go back and refer friends to this store as well

Jonathan Fallet: First time in. Everyone was very helpful and kind. Told me all about the tortoise and caiman. Was more than willing to educate me and discuss my ideas on care. I especially loved that the person feeding the lizards and turtles cared about them as the food offerings where very diverse fresh veggies and fruits. I didn't see pellet pet food being the go to food. They care about thier animals. The little one loved it too.

Tonya Boff: Went here to get bloodworms for my betta fish, I never expected the experience I would have here. It was super clean with no smell that you typically get walking into an aquarium shop (or at least from my experience). Herb (I believe that was his name) was super friendly and helpful. CALEB ROCK: I've been a frequent visitor of Off The Hook for 6+ months, and that won't stop anytime soon. By far the best customer service I've ever received. Everyone there is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. You will not experience this level of quality anywhere else. Before this, my experience was limited to handling a baby corn snake. Much has changed since then. I own a boa constrictor I absolutely adore (attached photo) and have handled a multitude of reptiles, birds, and rodents. Possibly an arachnid. The amount of care they put into their animals is beyond words. The place is very clean and well-kept. The only "regret" you'll have is that you didn't visit the place sooner. They have a pet for everyone and you'll enjoy the experience while looking for yours.

Lacey Engle: Great show with a tons of vendors. Something for every exotic animal keeper/lover. We purchased a juvenile ball python and a juvenile iguana from two separate vendors and both are doing superbly.

Julia Nunez: First off I am terrified of snakes, spiders, lizards etc, however, one of our little foster kiddos loves them all as if they were cute little kittens or puppies. That being said, this was her choice of activities, so off we went. Cost $6.00 a person, she was free. Everyone was soooooo amazing. They took so much time with us, answering questions, letting her get up close and person, which is huge given.they knew we were not buying that day. Soooo many vendors and tables. None of the animal looked stressed or sick. It was an amazing experience for her and we will be for sure going back!

SaddleCreek Social Committee: This place is simply amazing, The vendors are very helpful and you can tell love their animals. The venue is on the smaller side but its well laid out and has a huge selection of animals and supplies for all. We dont go anywhere else for our reptile supplies and needs! The owners are two amazing Women and we love supporting their small Biz!

Shawna Morgan: Update: Owner says the racist vendor was removed. He was there today, so that isn't a truthful reply. I tried posting my review with some pictures for proof, but it won't approve. One of your vendors is very racist and publically shares his views, excessively. Additionally, I bought frozen feeders from a vendor. They also sell live, if that helps. One of my snakes that ate their feeders ended up dead a couple days later. It doesn't appear that there are standards in place for vendors at this show.
Response: Once we were made aware of this issue with vendor we removed them from the show. We do not condone hate, we do our best to make sure that all vendors are helpful and kind to all. as for mouse issue please contact the vendor about this. Ive never heard of any other issues like this however.

Bernice Woodson: We went to the gem show at Harmar House. It was great. The quantity and quality of the products is amazing. Prices are good. There's something there for anyone who likes rocks, gems, fossils, and beads. Go!

Dee Toxinz: Tons of awesome reptiles and amphibians even tarantulas, but idk where the other reviews come off saying they have great prices. Only vendors with great prices was selling tarantulas. Went looking for ball pythons and even a normal male hatchling was priced over $200!! They are $40-$75 snakes not $200+. The crescent geckos prices was absolutely outrageous!! One vendor was selling sulcata tortoises full of terrible pyramiding which is unhealthy!! They wanted high end price for sick tortoises. Literally everything was over $200 unless it's a lizard that you need to have a $1200 enclosure for then it is $15 to $20 for those cuz no one buys them because they are to expensive to take care of. Highly suggest finding a breeder yourself or something.
Response: Dee, Sorry you did not find what you were looking for at the price you were looking for it at. I'm not sure I've ever seen a $200 normal male BP at our event, they normally range from $35-75 Depending on who is selling them. Each vendor / breeder sets their own pricing, for their own animals but they are always competitive with online prices as these are the same guys who also sell on-line. the great thing about shows is you not only get the great online pricing you get to hand pick your animal and also don't pay for or worry about shipping.

Our favorites are the tarantulas and frogs but they have tons of different types of snakes, lizzards, and too many others critters to list. All of the vendors are kind and helpful. While there you can also purchase all of the supplies and feeders needed for your pets. The prices are great as well.

Kev- keepingitreal: This Walmart offers Capital City Mambo Sauce, Fruits, Vegetables, Seafood, Poultry, Dairy and all sorts of Household Items. This Walmart needs to improve its Elevator services, only two out three of the elevators are working, it would be nice if they removed one of the elevator and replace it with stairs that lead customers from the parking garage to the street level and to Walmart store level for easy access. The current stairs only give customer access from the street level to Walmart store and no access to the parking garage. This Walmart includes a Pharmacy and free two hours of parking in the parking garage. This store has shopping carts available in the store and in the garage areas.

Mirka Mendez: It's Walmart, there are no grocery stores nearby (that I know) so it's an option. Smaller than the usual supercenter, very small produce section. There was an approximately 10 min wait at every registers when I visited.

PaulDavid Morado: Not exactly the best side of town. It is Walmart so all things that go with Walmart come along with this place. It's not close to any Metro station so be prepared for a walk is it on the other side of Chinatown. Excellent place for fruits and vegetables in all things grocery but be prepared also to bring your own bags as there seems to be carts missing

Aminah Imani: Its conveniently located but not the best Walmart to be in. The customers were loud and the security with large bullet proof vests doesn’t make it a welcoming vibe. Grab your products and head out quick. They do validate parking and leave patience for the slow running elevators. The employees were helpful and efficient. This location isn’t my preference but it gets the job done when in dire need.

Sassy Sauce: Mixed experience with this store. It’s a good location and there is parking available in the underground garage. First 2 hours are free. The store has items locked in a case that I couldn’t understand. For example, women’s underwear and some personal hygiene items. Also, the store wasn’t too crowded while I was there and the associate I asked to help me gave me clear directions as to what aisle the product I needed would on. The parts of the store I visited were clean and the overall shopping experience was ok. No major complaints. Just strange observations about profits being locked behind glass.

C. Zed: Well it exists, that I appreciate. I’ll continue to shop here. The cashiers scan items more than once, has already happened twice for me. The store is small and often too messy. The aisles are narrow, and the carts are way too big for the store. Many items are locked behind cases. Could be a better experience, especially for the closest location to the US Capitol.

Virginia S: Need more employees/cashiers working. These stores rely too heavily on self checkout. Which is fine if you like to DIY but there shouldn't be so little cashiers that you turn the customers into employees and shoppers at the same time. Some people go shopping for the experience of the human interaction they have buying their things, having someone else ring it up is part of the experiences. Stop cutting corners your customers are not happy with it trust me

Van D Peluche: Terrible terrible. Twice I have ordered online groceries and the first time I did not get it until an hour later and the second time I didn’t get it until a day later than the scheduled period. Absolutely awful. Plus no one in any department answers phone calls. And their produce is very poor quality. May as well not even have the grocery delivery service. Will not even notify about orders being held for the next day.

Harriet Saulsbury: Love shopping at Walmart, some of the eorker are rude ask them a question they always say its not my department and walk away. Another thing as many seniors and disable people shopping there on a daily basis you only have maybe 10 electric scooters for the entire store which is a super store but you have maybe only 2 scooters working. You also took away your seating you have in the lobby of the stores where are we supposed to sit and wait on rides and family members to finish shopping?

Jessica Boada: Good prices but it needs better employees that really like to help . Today is 1/28/22 l was at walmart 2 days ago the skate boards were price 18.98. So today i go buy the skate the price is the same i get to ✔ out the guy goes the price is 29.98 im like no they are wrong so i asked him to fix honor the price he said he can not do it the manager comes show me a picture if you want the item i go take the pic waited in line again another cahier tried to help but the first cashier said no I have the transaction on hold. So i kept on waiting them it was only one person behind me and he said i cannot do it go to customer services. I go he said to customer i have a big line i was like really. Ok finally thay send me back to the manager and she did not ask for the pic or anything and charged me 29.98. But before this she said to the customer service do not come with that. Anyway she was not even wearing the mask properly she had it on her neck. I end up returning the item and got the price at customer service with a DIFFERENT cashier after 3 different lines. Pooooooooooor customer service specialty from the manager

I shop around 8-10pm with fewer issues. No access to customer service, but the customer service is iffy at best during the day anyway. Excellent craft and party sections.

taqueya spriggs: I experienced very poor customer service. My family and I shopped here for the first time a week ago and the cashier who rung the father of my children's items began yelling at him because he realized after placing his items on the belt that he forgot to pick up an item that he needed in the aisle. Thereafter, the cashier began shouting for him to return to the checkout counter to complete his transaction because the store was closing soon. I for one don't have a problem with store personnel explaining to me that I am unable to go back to the aisles to select additional items to purchase because closing time is vastly approaching, but it's how you talk to people. Not to mention store security personnel tried to intimate myself and the father of my children in front of them as if he wanted to arrest us. He also became antagonizing by ordering another patron nearby to pull out his phone to video record him throwing me out of the store when I had no involvement with the incident that transpired between the cashier and my significant other. I will never shop at this location again and retail workers should be mindful of their tone and demeanor with customers because my significant other was not being confrontational, disorderly, or destroying property after being publicly humiliated in front of everyone in the store for no apparent reason. This kind of behavior is shameful and despicable and I was mortified. I am a regular shopper of Walmart corporations and I spent a lot money that day and do not deserve to be treated like a common criminal. With everything going on in the world and due to poor customer service and lack of respect for others, I think retailers should convert their services over to online shopping. This way customers can still reap the benefits of shopping without the having to potentially endure poor customer service. In the future Amazon will get all of my business.

Keshia Wideman: The absolute worst customer service ever. The store manager Patrick is non responsive to the lack of professionalism and ethics of the staff concerning, customers concerns/complaints. They are definitely a representation of his leadership and it shows. He doesn’t follow up on cooperates complaints, and the store is not organized properly at times. They don’t honor price misplaced items, and the cashiers are sarcastic, and rude at times. Crystal has been there awhile and can be rude and dismissive. I had to address her , and others about their rude, unethical behavior.

Michael Perez: If Purgatory exists, this Walmart will be a level. The place was clean and had an organization known to them. Not like any I've ever visited (and I've had the pleasure...to visit more than a few) but I'm sure when you've done your penance of shopping here a few times you get used to it. What really sets this store apart from the others is the stylistic hell that is the checkout process. 7 lanes with at least 9 patrons each. Cashiers that appear to be participating in a slow-down strike (and if they are, my hat's off to them and their cause). And at least 3 arguments between customers that verged on World Star territory. I will say that the curbside personnel were a little more engaged in their work.

Meghan Elizabeth: Grey hair lady at self checkout needs to find a different job or just retire. There is no reason an employee, especially one of her age, should be treating customers so poorly and getting a major attitude at anyone who is just trying to find a register that is working. If machines need fixed they need to kindly tell people to wait. Not be rude, make a scene and glare at everyone who is waiting to checkout. Who lets these kind of people work here???? Please consider getting some kind employees for self checkout. 04/25/22 6:00 pm

VIRGINIA Parker: Very well stocked and clean associate ready to help you. Only one problem not enough cash register open to get the people out. But that's the problem in every store.

Dennis Watts: Just not your average blue Walmart for people who don't live in DC this is really unusual to see a Walmart on a city block and the color is not blue and white, it's made out of brick with a black logo that's pretty unusual

Wesley Pace: The workers are great and helpful. The only gripe is I see a lot of people who are much older and not as mobile that need scooters, and there aren't many for them, so they are often waiting for them. And if they opened more registers it wouldn't be sp crowded.

Adam Stoddard: You know you're in a good part of town when shaving cream and car electronics are kept under lock and key. Got passed around between several employees and then a manager before somebody could procure a key for a case. Same thing happened with another case. Suffice to say I was unable to completely suppress my inner Karen...

Arielle M. (Mermaid): This is the best Walmart in DC. I actually drive out the way to go to this walmart. They even have a better food selection than Giant. For Easter I found 48 count of empty eggs for 1.98!! Which is amazing because I would of spent way more if I went anywhere else!

The staff was very friendly and helpful because I am in a wheelchair they offered to help me with items I couldn't reach.They had a variety of all kinds of foods and beverages. Sarah West: A large mixed selection of items you can get any 3 for TEN DOLLARS. Selected high end new items are priced accordingly. Kids, mens, and womans apparel and shoes. If you have the knack for treasure hunting in thrift stores.....THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU. thrifty and unique pieces all year round

Matthew Unger: The employees were fantastic and would be 5 stars, but not being able to not use yet another app makes for a poor customer experience that part I would give a 1 star, but I don't want to hold what seems like a wonderful store to a corporate specific issue. I cannot say enough good things about the employees that helped me and even apologized for a company wide corporate issue.

Jennifer Bowling: No shopping carts. Waited a long time and eventually just went back down to the parking garage to get one myself. The shelves were very disorganized in some areas and a lot of out of stock products. And the lines were very long. The cart escalator was broken and both elevators had orange signs indicating they were not safe for use, but were still being used.
