Bridget Roberts: Fantastic store with a great selection of unique fabric and notions. Katie and everyone are amazing and their classes are wonderful. Couldn’t ask for a more welcoming and inviting store.

Yanira Castro: This culdesac little place is amazing, where you can come and relax when taking sewing classes. The instructor is amazingly patience and knowledgeable. Now in it's new location the space is bigger and cozy, stop by just to say hello, their friendly staff will answered any questions you might have. Thank you three little birds.
Lori Grisham: Fantastic shop. It's by far my favorite sewing store in the DC area. Love all the beautiful fabric and materials. The owner Kate is incredibly knowledgeable and patient -- I highly recommend signing up for a class. It's worth every penny and you'll feel so proud being able to say "I made it!" when people compliment your new creation.
Melissa Reilly: TLB is a gem. Kate, the owner goes above and beyond to provide excellent service, stay attuned to the interests and needs of her customers, and runs a well curated local small business. I feel part of a special, supportive community whenever I’m there. During “these uncertain times” Kate and her staff have worked incredibly hard to fill online orders, offering no-touch curbside pickup, free local delivery and swift mail delivery if requested instead. She’s hosted zoom social time, mask making and embroidery sessions, show new inventory as it comes in. I hope she feels the from from her customers, cuz we sure love her!
Naomi Johnson: Three Little Birds Sewing Co. is my jam! I always find charming fabric & cool patterns. The community Kate has created is just the best.
Kid Troopa: Staff is freakin awesome! Communication is great and experience is personalized! Extremely grateful they are located nearby. They’ve made my introduction into the world of sewing ten times better!
Cindy F: This shop is one of my favorite places in the DMV area. The owner is super down-to-Earth, patient, and helpful. She gets fun, new stuff in the shop every day, and it requires every ounce of restraint in my being not to buy all the things. They even offer classes and workshops for kids to learn sewing skills (N/A in my case, but how cool is that?!), and seem really invested in the neighborhood and community. Since taking a handful of classes, I've managed to start making garments, alter store-bought clothes for myself, and create various giftable thingies. For someone who doesn't consider themself creative, this is a pretty big deal. Bonus: There are a handful of restaurants nearby if you start getting hangry while shopping or sewing. :)
rosie melendez: They are closed right now due to covid but I still reached out in need of fabric, they didn't have what I needed but Katie was still kind enough to offer other solutions, I'm really impressed with the level of customer service given, I'd love to shop here one day.

GW Campus Store: what do users think?
Maggie Schoonover: Super frustrated at GW Bookstore customer service. I bought a hood and tassel for graduation, but prior to the graduation ceremony I realized I wouldn't be able to go so I tried to return the items. They had never told me the items were nonrefundable when I bought them. I still had the receipt and everything and they wouldn't let me return. On top of being upset that I didn't get to walk at graduation, I had the added stress of paying for stuff I didn't use, and dealing with rude customer service. 0/10
K: This is a merch store more than a bookstore. Textbooks are stocked in a warehouse in Maryland and brought here to fulfill your order. If you have to wait anyway, you may as well just order for cheaper elsewhere.
Bhagyashree Panda: Quite expensive but a lot of GW curated items are available. Best to shop for small gifts from GWU for family and friends. All office stationary are available.
David Khorram: Open up at 12 PM. We are here for visit. Lots of goodies. We got some. Nice place to visit.
Heleen Raes: For text books, this is not the place to go. They are more expensive than on for example Amazon, and for my courses this semester they either did not have the books at all or they were out of stock. Also, check-out is really slow, I waited almost 20 minutes today while there were only 2 people in front of me. The apparel they have is pretty cool though and mostly reasonably priced.
Jabrail Smith: They were sooo helpful. Actually stopped her going to CVS. They very sweet.
Kris Brodeur: Never order your books through the bookstore. It is slower than advertised and very unreliable. One of my books said it was ready for pick-up, but then they were unable to find it when I went in four separate times over the course of three weeks. On my fourth visit, the manager I spoke to just told me "Go get your refund and order them somewhere else, they're never coming in." I would not mind if I had been told earlier, but we are now starting the third week of classes and I am just now being told that I need to re-order them. This means I'll be 3-4 weeks late getting my books, just because the bookstore lost/can't find my books and decided not to share that until my fourth trip there. Save yourself the time and hassle and just order through Amazon or buy them from another student.
Jeremy Lichliter: It’s not the easiest place to find. Once you get there though, you can buy anything GW that you could want. Be sure to check out the clearance racks because there are often some really nice shirts for pretty cheap prices. The staff is always friendly and willing to help out in anyway they can.
Sri Pabbathi: Always love the choice of merchandise. Havent been here in a few years but it is always fun to browse around and pick up some fine gw merchandise. When i was a student here I couldnt afford anything except for some items in the sale rack. But now I go there every few years and buy hats, t shirts and some trinkets for kids.
Mike Fischer: Bookstore didn't bother to tell anyone that textbooks will now only be available online. Left work early and ran across town to get my books and was given this information. No email, no announcement on the website. They also close early and the hours are incredibly inconvenient. Pretty saddened by the quality of this store.

Fabric Place Basement: what do users think?
T.: Terrible customer service. I was in the store for 15 minutes and no one acknowledge with a simple hello. I even walked back and forth by two employees (one of them was laying her head down on the cutting table) they were more concern with what goes with ground beef than their customers. I walk passed 5 employees and nothing. I strongly urge the owner to invest in customer service all workers to make sure everyone is greeted. I would rather by drive someplace else and spend more money where I feel welcomed and better customer service. Get it together and DO better.
Amber Riley: I came here because there are very few options in Fredericksburg, VA for fabric. I was getting alterations done to my wedding dress and needed a very specific color and fabric type that is hard to find. The ladies here went out of their way to help me find the fabric as well as the netting and educated me on the difference between fabric types. I really wish I could recall who assisted me, but she was a doll and even went in the back to try and find lace applique that would match. I gave my recommendation to my tailor to send people to this store.
Amber Parrilla: While there was quite a selection, apparently I am invisible. While all of the old and middle aged women were helped promptly, I was very much ignored. I must not be the clientele they want.... A word of advice for them, just because someone is covered in tattoos does not mean they are broke. I planned on getting all of the fabric to redo my dinette, couch , curtains and bedding, but alas no one wanted to help me.. I'll be spendmy money elsewhere thanks.
John R. Gawalt: This shop has a variety of fabrics and I can usually find what I need for my projects. I am not a sewer or quilter but every now and then I need a piece of fabric for this or that and I have found it here. Staff have been friendly, helpful, and tolerant of my inexpert questions.

Shannon Catherine: The staff is so friendly and helpful. I asked many questions and they always provide consultative advice! Much better than Joanns as I needed a bit over 4 yards of fabric and she told me that would no problem. I havent been able to order an exact amount of fabric from Joanns in the past. Will definitely be coming back here instead in the future!

April Griffin: Bright store with a great selection and organization. The major sections I noticed are notions, fashion, quilting, and home dec; not sure if there are more, as I mostly lurked in quilting. The quilting section is broken into many subsections by theme and color, e.g. solids, florals, batiks, stripes, etc. I was shopping for 19 different fabrics for a quilt and found everything I needed easily. I’m remembering so many prints I liked and would have bought if I weren’t already buying so much lol. There was one employee in particular working checkout who brightened my day just by being so cheerful, and the first thing I saw when I walked in was her aggressively sanitizing a shopping cart before putting it away. My minor complaints are the thread selection didn’t fit my preferences, and the prepackaged batting supply was sparse and needed restocking. I will have to continue to buy large cotton thread cones online.

She not only handled my transaction with a smile, but ensured that my delivery would be seamless. Kyle and Mateo came to my home and were two of the nicest delivery professionals I ever encountered. Audrey Lester: Blind Customer: I increased shopping here during pandemic, as it’s in my community. On nearly all visits, I’m greeted at front door by a very knowledgeable staff member. I love how they know where every item is specifically located - like really! Upon entry, you’re on main isle. To your left are short isles leading to registers. Staff always escort me through store or to elevator where I’m met by another team member on lower level. Ayesha, General Manager, allows items to be opened for me when possible so I can feel item. I especially love their text message lime where consumers can ask questions before visiting store. Great Team!

koura Gibson: Disappointed to be rudely treated for “walking into store” before opening. The door was wide opened and I entered only to be charged aggressively by the 3 attending employees, shouting for me to exit. I had to calm them down of their excitement to reprimand me for entering the store. There was no indication that the store was not opened. No hours were posted ether. Then the older guy rudely and aggressively closed the door as I exited. He then snarkly stated “I guess!” When informing him that 8:00 was in 14 minutes. It was really disappointing to have to endure such rudeness in the morning.
Al Boyd: Customer service, was excellent. But I didn't appreciate being mistaken for a thief. I had the receipt was in my bag. I am a retired police officer, I don't need too steal anything from anyone.

Nathan Deunk: Very convenient location, and they've really improved the store since they moved locations. Unfortunately, Fragers employees and contractors consistently endanger the residents of the surrounding community by illegally parking on both 11th SE and Pennsylvania SE. I can't support a store that cares so little for their neighbors, especially when those neighbors are their customers.

Jessica Boada: Good prices but it needs better employees that really like to help . Today is 1/28/22 l was at walmart 2 days ago the skate boards were price 18.98. So today i go buy the skate the price is the same i get to ✔ out the guy goes the price is 29.98 im like no they are wrong so i asked him to fix honor the price he said he can not do it the manager comes show me a picture if you want the item i go take the pic waited in line again another cahier tried to help but the first cashier said no I have the transaction on hold. So i kept on waiting them it was only one person behind me and he said i cannot do it go to customer services. I go he said to customer i have a big line i was like really. Ok finally thay send me back to the manager and she did not ask for the pic or anything and charged me 29.98. But before this she said to the customer service do not come with that. Anyway she was not even wearing the mask properly she had it on her neck. I end up returning the item and got the price at customer service with a DIFFERENT cashier after 3 different lines. Pooooooooooor customer service specialty from the manager
Kev- keepingitreal: This Walmart Supercenter offers a wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetables and other optional food and items to choose from. Staff was friendly and helpful. This location offers a free underground parking garage.

Will Kidd: I'm from Michigan this is my first time being to a Walmart set up like this and it was great basement parking and the crazy thing the escalator for your shopping cart that's wow 😲
Brittany Jeffries: It's crowded, there are never enough lines, and the place is heavily disorganized. But when you need stuff late night, it's nice to have around. I shop around 8-10pm with fewer issues. No access to customer service, but the customer service is iffy at best during the day anyway. Excellent craft and party sections.

taqueya spriggs: I experienced very poor customer service. My family and I shopped here for the first time a week ago and the cashier who rung the father of my children's items began yelling at him because he realized after placing his items on the belt that he forgot to pick up an item that he needed in the aisle. Thereafter, the cashier began shouting for him to return to the checkout counter to complete his transaction because the store was closing soon. I for one don't have a problem with store personnel explaining to me that I am unable to go back to the aisles to select additional items to purchase because closing time is vastly approaching, but it's how you talk to people. Not to mention store security personnel tried to intimate myself and the father of my children in front of them as if he wanted to arrest us. He also became antagonizing by ordering another patron nearby to pull out his phone to video record him throwing me out of the store when I had no involvement with the incident that transpired between the cashier and my significant other. I will never shop at this location again and retail workers should be mindful of their tone and demeanor with customers because my significant other was not being confrontational, disorderly, or destroying property after being publicly humiliated in front of everyone in the store for no apparent reason. This kind of behavior is shameful and despicable and I was mortified. I am a regular shopper of Walmart corporations and I spent a lot money that day and do not deserve to be treated like a common criminal. With everything going on in the world and due to poor customer service and lack of respect for others, I think retailers should convert their services over to online shopping. This way customers can still reap the benefits of shopping without the having to potentially endure poor customer service. In the future Amazon will get all of my business.
Keshia Wideman: The absolute worst customer service ever. The store manager Patrick is non responsive to the lack of professionalism and ethics of the staff concerning, customers concerns/complaints. They are definitely a representation of his leadership and it shows. He doesn’t follow up on cooperates complaints, and the store is not organized properly at times. They don’t honor price misplaced items, and the cashiers are sarcastic, and rude at times. Crystal has been there awhile and can be rude and dismissive. I had to address her , and others about their rude, unethical behavior.
Michael Perez: If Purgatory exists, this Walmart will be a level. The place was clean and had an organization known to them. Not like any I've ever visited (and I've had the pleasure...to visit more than a few) but I'm sure when you've done your penance of shopping here a few times you get used to it. What really sets this store apart from the others is the stylistic hell that is the checkout process. 7 lanes with at least 9 patrons each. Cashiers that appear to be participating in a slow-down strike (and if they are, my hat's off to them and their cause). And at least 3 arguments between customers that verged on World Star territory. I will say that the curbside personnel were a little more engaged in their work.
Meghan Elizabeth: Grey hair lady at self checkout needs to find a different job or just retire. There is no reason an employee, especially one of her age, should be treating customers so poorly and getting a major attitude at anyone who is just trying to find a register that is working. If machines need fixed they need to kindly tell people to wait. Not be rude, make a scene and glare at everyone who is waiting to checkout. Who lets these kind of people work here???? Please consider getting some kind employees for self checkout. 04/25/22 6:00 pm

Kev- keepingitreal: This Walmart offers Capital City Mambo Sauce, Fruits, Vegetables, Seafood, Poultry, Dairy and all sorts of Household Items. This Walmart needs to improve its Elevator services, only two out three of the elevators are working, it would be nice if they removed one of the elevator and replace it with stairs that lead customers from the parking garage to the street level and to Walmart store level for easy access. The current stairs only give customer access from the street level to Walmart store and no access to the parking garage. This Walmart includes a Pharmacy and free two hours of parking in the parking garage. This store has shopping carts available in the store and in the garage areas.
Mirka Mendez: It's Walmart, there are no grocery stores nearby (that I know) so it's an option. Smaller than the usual supercenter, very small produce section. There was an approximately 10 min wait at every registers when I visited.
PaulDavid Morado: Not exactly the best side of town. It is Walmart so all things that go with Walmart come along with this place. It's not close to any Metro station so be prepared for a walk is it on the other side of Chinatown. Excellent place for fruits and vegetables in all things grocery but be prepared also to bring your own bags as there seems to be carts missing
Aminah Imani: Its conveniently located but not the best Walmart to be in. The customers were loud and the security with large bullet proof vests doesn’t make it a welcoming vibe. Grab your products and head out quick. They do validate parking and leave patience for the slow running elevators. The employees were helpful and efficient. This location isn’t my preference but it gets the job done when in dire need.
Sassy Sauce: Mixed experience with this store. It’s a good location and there is parking available in the underground garage. First 2 hours are free. The store has items locked in a case that I couldn’t understand. For example, women’s underwear and some personal hygiene items. Also, the store wasn’t too crowded while I was there and the associate I asked to help me gave me clear directions as to what aisle the product I needed would on. The parts of the store I visited were clean and the overall shopping experience was ok. No major complaints. Just strange observations about profits being locked behind glass.
C. Zed: Well it exists, that I appreciate. I’ll continue to shop here. The cashiers scan items more than once, has already happened twice for me. The store is small and often too messy. The aisles are narrow, and the carts are way too big for the store. Many items are locked behind cases. Could be a better experience, especially for the closest location to the US Capitol.

Virginia S: Need more employees/cashiers working. These stores rely too heavily on self checkout. Which is fine if you like to DIY but there shouldn't be so little cashiers that you turn the customers into employees and shoppers at the same time. Some people go shopping for the experience of the human interaction they have buying their things, having someone else ring it up is part of the experiences. Stop cutting corners your customers are not happy with it trust me
Van D Peluche: Terrible terrible. Twice I have ordered online groceries and the first time I did not get it until an hour later and the second time I didn’t get it until a day later than the scheduled period. Absolutely awful. Plus no one in any department answers phone calls. And their produce is very poor quality. May as well not even have the grocery delivery service. Will not even notify about orders being held for the next day.
Harriet Saulsbury: Love shopping at Walmart, some of the eorker are rude ask them a question they always say its not my department and walk away. Another thing as many seniors and disable people shopping there on a daily basis you only have maybe 10 electric scooters for the entire store which is a super store but you have maybe only 2 scooters working. You also took away your seating you have in the lobby of the stores where are we supposed to sit and wait on rides and family members to finish shopping?

REI Co-op: what do users think?
Michael Brown: As a company, REI should not inflict their political beliefs onto customers. That said, they carry good gear and this particular location is fantastic. Every time I have come here they have exactly what I need. The staff are friendly and helpful and generally knowledgeable. I don’t know who makes REI branded clothes and gear, but they do a good job.
Mike R: I like this store for so many reasons. First: they have excellent customer service. Today I walked in with my bike to get my flat tire fixed. A woman approached me and signed me in. Then a man walked up to me and asked if I would like to him to park my bike. I was appalled by this gesture. Second: This establishment has everything here. Louisa Buatti: I visited REI for the first time since the pandemic began. My pick up of an online order went very smoothly. Every staff person I encountered was friendly and helpful--they all offered to direct me to the customer service/pick up area. I was in and out of the store in a flash.
Andrea Wu: I came here to pick up my shoes that I ordered online, and after trying them out in nature, they were too big so I came back to return and get new ones. The staff helping me was very helpful, bringing me different shoes for me to try on. I finally got a pair that fit properly, and checkout was pretty speedy too. Parking on the street might be a bit tough, but it's not too bad!
H Gill: Great store! love REI… but checking out here is always a 15 min wait. The checkout line moves at a snail’s pace, and the managers/supervisors don’t seem to care. I’ve seen customers put items down and leave out of frustration.

You park in the parking deck and then have to walk all the way around a whole city block because they have blocked off the elevator and stairs. So, you drive into the parking deck and then have this surprise journey ahead of you, through a sketchy alley and everything. Just wanted to give other customers a heads up!
Ben Layton: Bike shop effectively closes at 6:30, not 7:00, since you have to get on a wait-list to get the bike checked in and the wait-list closes at 6:30. Called in advance and told them when I'd get there and they didn't mention that, so came all the way here for nothing. Turnaround on basic repairs also 9-10 days rn, which is honestly nuts.
R: Oddly enough they aren’t dog friendly yet I saw a pitbull walking around without a service vest. The area around is horrendous, good luck finding a parking spot. Really disappointed that REIs aren’t dog friendly yet their competitors REI and Bass Pro is.

Shayna Deverman: Dirty, unorganized, extremely low stock on everything. Items thrown everywhere, picked over. Shoe isle was a disgrace. Nice they have an “Ulta”, but very limited items. Took me several minutes to figure out where body wash was. Haircare, travel, makeup is all grouped together in the front/middle-like typical but body wash/deodorant was clear on the end of the store. Terrible flow. All that looking and they had very limited washes! Men’s selection had more to choose from. Went in there with a very basic list and got one thing on it… my nearest Walgreens was more helpful…disappointing since I love me a Target trip. I won’t be back to this one.
Kaila Gilbert: Good store, could benefit from more helpful signage 😂 idk throw a digital map on the wall or something. but even though I got vertigo/whiplash/confused trying to find a suitcase (they're on the 2nd floor in the wayback) no complaints and the people are good. Most people do self checkout bc line passes fast, so don't be intimidated if it's long. Idk choose your adventure. Shoe section looks a litttle crazy in the afternoons, but that's consistent with the behaviors/type of people who live here lmao. Moving too fast, not putting stuff back, lowkey entitled ahaha

Thomas Nali: NO PARKING VALIDATION Poor inventory. This is on a regular old Monday. I asked for the product I was looking for, they checked in the back, and said it was too hard to get to and another employee would work on it, but they don’t know how long it will be. This was at almost noon. Look at how few dairy products are on the shelf. Staff continued to prove unhelpful. I asked four different employees where a type of product was and they each told me to find someone who worked in that dept. OR they just told me they “probably don’t have it” WITHOUT even looking or bothering to find where it should be!! They tried to walk off but I said I am not satisfied until we find the shelf where it should be, and I’ve been looking for fifteen minutes. Took all of that to get some help finding one little thing.
Ted Socha: Ever since this Target added self-checkout, they've relied solely on it. At most, they open only one regular checkout line if self-checkout gets long. Better off going to the CVS across the street. 10/7/19 update: this place either needs to solve their self-checkout problem or open up more than one regular cash register
Sade Wilson: I was shopping today at the Washington D.C target store and was purchasing gift for my family I found some nice things and for a really good price. I went to check out and the items were ringing up different from what the price was upstairs I explained to the cashier he called for a manager. The manager name tiffany came and refuse to change the price the for two of the items but change it for the other too items. I continue checking out because I didn’t want to wait to long after I was done checking out I went upstairs to take pictures to show the manger she still refuse and walk away.
Donna Walker: Buyers we aware the prices in Target are going up every week and its terrible and make sure you know the prices of your items because the shelf price and the register price can be different at times. Security was following me for no reason so I had t let him know you are following the wrong person. I catch more people stealing at Target and I do not work there. Also, some of the employees are so rude. I will be recording my conversations with the employees when I need to ask for help as proof of how rude some of them can be.

Got passed around between several employees and then a manager before somebody could procure a key for a case. Same thing happened with another case. Jennifer Bowling: No shopping carts. Waited a long time and eventually just went back down to the parking garage to get one myself. The shelves were very disorganized in some areas and a lot of out of stock products. And the lines were very long. The cart escalator was broken and both elevators had orange signs indicating they were not safe for use, but were still being used.

Reanna Rousseau: I have to say very disrespectful management at this location. The staff was lovely and helpful but the short light skin women manager with the face piercings, with her mask underneath her nose gave me the worst experience I have ever had at goodwill. Her regional needs to have her replaced ASAP. You can’t make your own rules at your store that’s not in policy. You can get fired for things like that and she must be reported. This is a store where they take free items and mark them up for “Goodwill” to sell to the people in the community who can’t afford the regular priced items. If you are over pricing the item you are basically doing a disservice to the community.

When we got there, a light skin colored girl with glasses as the manager was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL We did not get a Good Morning. She WAS VERY UNPLEASANT with her Approach. The staff was amazing on checking the condition of the item after purchase, and as an added service on their end, they sent a few extra close-ups even after I had purchased, which was not necessary, but so appreciated that they thought to do that. Andrew Patricio: Bizarre. Don't bother going here to donate anything except kitchen stuff or toys, (except baby toys they won't take). On the website it says they take clothes, furniture, etc and they used to but no longer for some reason. Any even toys they won't take anything "a baby can sit in". Ie no bounce toys, push bike etc. Wasted my time twice in a row. Never again. Just go down the road to salvation army or even better, the value village thrift store.

Janice Burrell: Called and asked if they accept books. The guy told me they did. When I got there the guy told me they were at their capacity for books. It was more like he didn't want to do the work to check them in. Every time I go there it is always a problem. They should tell you these things when you call. Franklin Owens III: I was there for clothing… but I can never pick out clothing in a thrift store, so I left with books. The store was well organized though. I tend to be a bit uncomfortable buying items out of thrift stores. I didn’t care much for the clothes. But there were other items in the home section were really nice. Everyone was nice in the thrift store. Even when I gathered a cart full of books and then realized I couldn’t use my clothing voucher on books😬😅

Advice for prospective students and parents: If you're interested in attending, be sure to trial the student for a day program as both my brother and I found it helpful in selecting a high school. Aaron Contic: Came into this location to purchase a set of irons, found a set of Taylormade M2 irons that I initially thought were correctly priced at $499. I asked the team member working in the golf department that I was interested and ask where the rest of the set was. He replied that the rest of the set was missing. I asked what was the current price with 3 clubs of the 7 iron set missing? His response was “that’s the price, my manger won’t change it for some reason, but you can ask him” So I asked to speak to the manger which He initially said was available. I was then told that the manager currently on duty was conveniently on a conference call and was now unavailable and the answer was “NO” on a new price for the remaining clubs. To start the team member was friendly and helpful. That being said. I’m also a manager in retail and if a customer asked to talk to a manager about a reasonable question. Im not going to have my employee have to tell the customer “NO” That’s terrible customer service and it’s also a bad business practice to try to sell customers a product that’s missing pieces for the same price as if it’s not!

Sassy Sauce: This store opened a couple years ago and it’s always nice and clean. The day I went after work the store must have just received a truck because there were boxes of product on most of the aisles. But this store is generally very clean and organized. This isn’t a normal sized target though, it’s definitely smaller and has more of a convenient store type feel. But all of the normal Target staples are still there. There is parking under the store and it’s accessible using the escalators or elevator. There is a Starbucks as well. It’s a great store to visit!
Amreen Shafiuddin: poorly managed target.. no one knew answers for anything. customer service was poor. stocking issues in all the aisles. boxes everywhere.. the food items especially bread section don’t have best before stickers on them. when questioned, they just saw each other faces. poorly managed.
Tracie: Pros: Near my home. New store. Available parking structure. Decent customer service. By decent i mean - I haven't had a negative experience with the customer but no one has gone above and beyond helping me. Cons: Generally feels empty. Yet every time I enter the store i notice staff are in the middle of restocking and have crates of things in the middle of the hallways blocking the pass way. This was even before covid so not sure whats going on (pictures shown from Dec 2021). Also, doesn't appear to be a parking attendant so anytime anyone lost their ticket, their is chaos trying to get out. Finally, prices seem a little higher than other targets, i get the sense that because its smaller things are limited and maybe marked up? Or maybe its just inflation and the whole food chain/ports being a hot mess.
Mysiki X Valentine: Whoa! Let me begin on a positive. There is a cashier (older Black woman) Joan, who is the most pleasant staff worker. However, the younger staff can often be found tucked away on phones, having side conversation and etc..so finding help is always difficult. In addition, the customer service could never be described as friendly. But it does not end there, this is one of the worst Target’s I’ve ever went shopping. The store shelves stay empty. I recently order Beats headphones online for pick-up, I was emailed saying my order was ready—but when I got to the store the manager cancelled my order, stating the item was not in the store. Long behold, I walked to the back and there sat 3) pairs of the same item I came to pick-up. Her attitude was out of this world, I couldn’t believe she worked in customer service. No matter what time of the day, the aisles have carts full of products yet to be put away. Makes the store seem chaotic and disorganized. If it’s a quick stop, I’d advise going elsewhere. Looking to do serious shopping, never stop here. To end on a positive the food section is normally well stocked and presented nicely.
Kareem Carter: Lets start by saying I am appreciative of having a Target in this area of DC. The parking facility is safe and well lit, the store was reasonably stocked and clean. My gripe is with the professionalism of the management and the completely ineffective way they run the checkout line. they funneled everyone through one line and when several customers skipped the single line and went straight to the register, they were allowed to do so.....causing frustration to the other customers in the line. This was brought to the lead employees attention and she sarcastically dismissed my frustration. They should really signage up on how the checkout line works!
Erin Truax: I have been to this Target a few times because it is the most convenient for me (and parking is easy) but I always leave feeling very frustrated. There are constantly boxes of inventory waiting to be unpacked that are blocking the aisles and many shelves are often missing product. I have shopped at different times and on different days, but this seems to be on ongoing issue for this location. If you’re able, I recommend a different location.
J Por: Went in for some quick toys for my nieces and nephew. Turned in to their Loss Prevention racially profiling my partner, and followed us around the store the entire time for 60 dollars worth of merchandise, part of which, we had to find an employee to get. We initially went in to make a return, and unfortunately had the idea to shop the last bit of our list. Workers letting people (guy in a blue hoodie was wearing a red shirt so possible employee?) walk around without a mask even though DC has a mandate, and the stores inventory is always in the way. Should have been more concerned following him to give him a mask instead of two people who were in your store less than 25 minutes. Overheard an employee talking about managers asking the team to get tested because of a potential positive employee. Overall, the worst experience I’ve had by far. I’ve been a consistent customer for three years, but no more. This location is best avoided. Trust me.
livingmytruth 2: Joan has the best customer service ever. I came in this location with my 98 year old grandma and she made my grandma feel sooo good and proud and she really has a positive attitude. Thank you for making my grandmother’s shopping experience so pleasant . I will actually make this my home store now because of her pleasant demeanor
Aaron Blackmon: Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go to a Walmart that is all red and has Target signs? Well wait no longer! This will fit the bill. The validated parking is a mess. The store is never stocked but simultaneously stocking everything at once and the lines are NEVER open. I only went there after learning my initial lesson months ago because it’s so close and I wanted to get a few things but even still it wasn’t worth it.
Chris Todd: The staff inside the store were friendly and helpful. However, the parking attendant was about as useless as a square wheel. I wanted to recharge my car. The sign in front of the chargers read "See attendant to activate". This dude was just sitting in his car. He refused to get up and wave whatever card he needed to wave to unlock the charging station. He didn't even acknowledge me other than saying "Uh". I tried activating the station with my SemaConnect app, but the station was locked out. I'm sure this Target is great, but I wouldn't come here in an EV because the dude who runs the chargers can't be bothered to get out of his car to do his job.

This is our fave’s, the IKEA food court! The warehouse was huge, you can also come to practice walking or exercise during extreme weather. They have variety of food selection, all come with healthy calories calculation. Our favorites always Swedish meatballs, fried chicken and the desserts. Have you tried their veggies balls? It’s taste almost the same as the meatballs, but more delicious! Don’t miss out on the side dish, it’s a perfect combination with veggies balls and the sauce. We’re all facing the same issues here at this moment, some if not all items are out of stock! You have to be prepared if you’re running a project, either come as grab as the stocks are ready or visit the store multiple times.
Samone Jones: Old faithful IKEA. Great new furniture. I came to look at the faucets and grab a quick lunch. As always you can get some great design ideas and gadgets for the home. My favorite are the duvets - they can always give a fresh look to a room. The food is pleasant. I got the Swedish meatballs, mash potatoes, and fries.
Giovani Guarnieri: Furniture and all you may need for your house and office you can find here. Prices are good. But you have to carry out by yourself and put it together in your house to... I like to do like that but if you don't like it will be a problem. Will be back soon
Mahjabeen Mitu: In general Ikea products are always price worthy and presentable, so you won’t struggle much to fit with your budget and planning. They have huge collection but their catalogue based marketplace will help you to get your desired one quickly. I’ve been using their products since 2013 and it never makes me disappointed. If you love to decorate your home and garden, really a great place to get a complete package of ideas! On a separate note, they have a Swedish food market of vivid collections, so you can enjoy chocolates, cookies, coffee and etc. of swedish flavor right there. Also, I would highly recommend to visit their food courts, foods are awesome! If you have an Ikea family membership, you will get discounts on foods and all kinds of beverages are free for you ☕️🍹🍸. Interestingly, they do birthday wishes to the members each year offering worth of $10 coupon and a frozen yogurt of any flavor🍦 🍦

I have a bit of both ;--) I frequent this Ikea because I want to achieve my own personal "carrie bradshaw" type of closet (the ladies will understand).....I also want a PAX spa cabinet. So, although I could give them 3 stars - I know they are 4 star worthy.... Here lately though, I am becoming very frustrated. Lots of things are temporarily unavailable or discontinued without notice. Makes it extremely hard when you have a large project to achieve. ALSO! This weekend they advertised their annual Julboard and I was exited for the festivities....BUT, as with everything else - IKEA missed their usual mark. I believe it is due to the pandemic but I am disappointed. I don't want IKEA to be in comparison to Walmart, Costco, or Sam's...I hold them in a higher regard....but, empty shelves - displaying things on the showroom not available - Costco type sampling....this is not you IKEA!!!! I know because I am here all the time..... BRING IKEA back!!!!!!

Lately, I see a lot of improvements in the home appliance and kitchen section kudos. I am like a kid in a candy store coming here. Charley: Overall rating of 4.7, went shopping in search of a specific type of bed frame. Was disappointed when I was informed they did not have that model in stock and opted to instead settle for the "Malm" variant. Buying the bed was super easy, when I confronted an employee he told me exactly what I needed to purchase. The bed came in 4 different items and the overall assembly of it was not too bad. However, take this with a grain of salt because I am a master builder and the process was mildly engaging.
Stephanie Jackson: IKEA literally has everything. I needed a table to match another piece of furniture I purchased from IKEA to place my record player on. Of course they had the perfect piece. It took 5 minutes to put together. Super cute and super easy.
Abi Maghamfar: Ikea is a great place for do it yourselvers and those who don't mind assembling their own furniture. The prices are good and the return policy is generous at 365 days! However on a recent visit to the College Park, MD store it was obvious they are having a hard time keeping their shelves stocked. Almost 1/3 of shelves were bare or limited stock. We had to change plan for a bed because they did not have the mattress we wanted and the support slats for the bed. It would be helpful if they mark out of stock items in the showroom so you don't have to go to the warehouse to find out they're out and then you have to start all over! On a positive note, I commend Ikea for their commitment to environment by installing solar panels all over their parking lot.

Connor Black: My friend is a former employee at this establishment and I decided to post this on their behalf to protect their anonymity. First off, HR is prone to scheduling shifts at horrible times with little regard for the time you will have between shifts. Now this could be fixed if HR was more present and was available to talk about shift scheduling and issues that arise from how they do it. Secondly, the General Manager is very aggressive with their style of management. They often are talking down to people and attempting to single them out for ridicule or to give attitude to. They also have zero regard for a worker's wellbeing or health, instead putting the business before the people who have to make sacrifices for it. If you ever do call out and the GM answers, be prepared because she will try to gaslight you and talk you out of whatever your legitimate reason for not being able to come in is.
Portia Massado: I was a former employee there and the reason why I left was for a career choice and also because of the GM Jemima Canage. Jemima Canage is THE WORST GM to work for the company. Target is her LIFE and if your in school or have a second job PLEASE DO NOT APPLY. Control freak YES she is. Jemima will over work you and will not give gradititude in return unless your a male that work in her store. She talks very mean and nasty to associates like they are nothing to her. I even had an incident where she yelled and charged herself at me like I was a child. It made me very very upset and if another manager wasn’t present I would of lost my job for walking out due to Jemima poor management skills. I even had customers come in and complain about how rude and mean she is. She also like to try to undermind people like they lack common sense. She recently fired someone for no apparent reason at all. She forced that man to come to work sick after expressing that he wasn’t feeling well. And he called the ambulance for himself just to prove to Jemima that he was sick. And in the process of her firing one person she lost 8people from that store. Even her ASM left because of her, 3LPs, and 4 associates. And right before I started 6months ago the original associates that were there had already gave the new people the rundown of Jemima Canage and how much they hated her and how she acts towards her employees. She doesn’t onow how to humble herself or treat people with REPSECT. She demands it then earning it or giving it back in return. And the nexr person she raises her voice at WILL NOT be as nice cause trust me I was VERY VERY ANGRY about it. Please get rid of that bad engery in that store. I feel sorry for all the people that are still there.
Kerry Delf: Small but fairly well provisioned food section, with both snack foods and some home groceries, heavy on the convenience foods. Prices are high but better than other stores in the area. Conveniently open until 11 p.m. on Saturdays, in an area where other stores close at 9 or 10, but it closes earlier on other days of the week. Free parking with store validation. Downside: Service was sparse and heavily dependent on self-service—there were no employees on the floor helping customers, and of three employees around the checkout counter, only one was operating a register, quite lackadaisically.
Peyton Doyle: Great small format Target in a really accessible part of Cleveland Park (and just steps from the Metro stop). Impressed with their selection of fresh foods. Nice home goods section too. Unique underground store. Really friendly employees! I will certainly be back.
Daniel: Right off the metro so it's convenient, not to mention, definitely bigger than you'd think. They took the investment of digging underground for the store (kind of like their NYC Tribeca location) and it definitely paid off. Validate parking when you leave since there's a lot attendant and a gate... no joke. Prices upscale for the location, but they had what I needed and would probably visit again.
Larry Gamble: I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the surroundings is a very beautiful place with a lot of awesome deals! it was a very nice experience for people are just super awesome everybody was all friendly and lot of excitement going on just keep it in the parking lot list fire I loved it
Lindsay Cooper: Purchased baby food online that was listed as in-stock. Received notifications that it was ready to pick-up. My husband went to pick it up and not only did they not have our order, they didn't have the product in stock. My husband then decided to purchase other items while he was there and was followed closely around the store by security so much that he had to ask the person to back off. I called Target HQ and they confirmed that the order was ready for pick up. I'll be going back to Amazon after this experience.
Chaturbhuj bhojwani: It is Very nice and very clean. It is small in size, but they've got everything from groceries to clothes and electronics. It is conveniently located near the red line Cleveland park metro station, and bus ( L1, L2) stop. when you walk in this location, it looks like you're at a duty-free shop at an airport. It is also a quick 5 minute walk from the zoo.
M P: Free parking but you MUST get your ticket validated in store. Great for quick Target run. You can always find helpful employees and if you don’t see what you are looking for ask and they’ll get it in stock. Great manager. Super clean store. Perfect location.

Vi Rodriguez: This is a very cool building to visit. The history behind it is also very interesting which you can learn all about it in the basement. The building is very clean!! Lots of staff available to help answer any questions you may have. The first and main floor is the Apple store but it’s not like a regular Apple store. There is a huge selection of all of Apple’s products. On the second floor is a digital art gallery and the library but they were both clothed when I came on a Saturday. Still a cool visit and it’s free to enter and walk around.
Swire Ho: From out of town and we almost didn't notice it is an Apple Store. It was the old Carnegie Library built back in 1901. Went during a weekday at 1PM so there were more employees than customers. They have a gallery on the Top floor and basement. We walked there from our nearby hotel and I don't see any parking near the building.
B Dunnegan: Wasted so much time waiting for reps, while reps who claim they can’t help just stand around. How many reps do YOU see?? I get calls and emails on regular from business team yet when I come in store, none are available to help. Also—the store operation is inefficiently run. What should be pinging/cueing up clients at check in is a belaboring dog and pony show that passes you from one rep to another. Over it. As a small business owner, who was literally called and emailed every day by what was described as a small business support team at the Carnegie location has not produced one iota of assistance. Over it.
livingmytruth 2: Michael, Gunner and Taylor were absolutely amazing. This was by far the best Apple store i ever been in. As soon as i walked in the door i was greeted by Taylor and Michael. They made me feel at home. They answered all my questions and eased all my fears about this big new location. Then i met with Gunner ( who happens to be deaf) and he was absolutely a joy. He was efficient, fast and he really made me feel comfortable through my process of getting an new ipad. Way to go Apple, this is the kind of experience i am looking for
Daria Willis: The Apple Store was quite an experience! I loved it! The staff was wonderful! Knowledgeable, helpful and courteous! I had an appointment for a phone and I requested help with my Mac laptop. They took care of it, cleaned it up and now its almost like new even though it is 8 yrs old! Excellent!!!

Scott Denman: Was told to wait for help with an employee currently helping another customer. That customer was being a royal pain, but instead of noticing that I’ve been standing around for 30 minutes waiting, others who came to the store after me were being helped for the same thing I came in for… For a company that seems to care about its image, they are pretty horrible at customer service. On the plus side, they are very accommodating for employees with disabilities. Overall though they are pretty bad at letting people just stand around

I highly recommend making an appointment before visiting as this beautifully located store stays busy, although the staff there has been extremely helpful and understanding even on the times when I showed up without an appointment. :)

Jesse Cantrill: The new Cooper Field stadium opened in time for the Harvard football game. Lovely stands, lovely restrooms, not enough concession sites. No one selling caps or apparel. Campus looks terrific.
L. Zhǎngsūn Brown: Great study space, lots of open areas and well-lit with natural lighting. There are little rooms good for group study too but it can be hard to snag one. The Fischer Colloquium is a lovely event venue as well. The only downside is that there isn't really a food option in here unless you're okay with vending machines.

Krista Stormberg: NOT OPEN 24 HOURS!!!! I visited here at 5am on 12/7/21. They are not open, despite what both Google maps and the CVS website states. So frustrating!!! After waiting for them to open, since no other CVS locations in my area were open at that hour, I asked the man at the register why the hours weren't updated. He was incredibly rude, combative, and condescending. Nothing short of a HORRIBLE customer service experience. Avoid this location at all costs!!!

Void Call: Insane the length people would go to not do their job despite the customer being clearly in pain. I went there after a dentist appointment to get prescribed painkiller since I was under a lot of tooth trauma. Got my prescription denied because I apparently didn't have insurance ? I had my dental insurance , the signature for the prescription, the money to pay cash even if i didn't have insurance, and still got served with a "no, have to make it go through insurance". that makes no freaking sense. This lady ignored my presence for a solid 20 min and dismissed me with "we cant serve you". went to another cvs. dropped my prescription, told them I had no insurance, no problem. 13$ and I got my stuff..... to the lady with the bigass frog eyes at the drop counter playing God and watching people in pain: thank you. im sure you are proud of your work.

RJ 5: Went a few months back. And yes, SET YOUR APPOINTMENT! It’s really simple and usually plenty of time slots available. Had one small issue which is why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 (really 4.5). The issue… a shoe in my size showed in stock on their website. Asked the young lady working for my size, who turned and asked the Asian gentleman working the counter. Miscommunication between those two and I was told it wasn’t in stock. After a little bit of a back and forth match between the gentleman and I, he realized he was incorrect because he thought the shoe was a different color! All in all, he went to the back, found the shoe, found me a hat to match and I even grabbed another pair that I wasn’t expecting to grab for a little discount! So the 1 stars I see here seem to be fundamentals in reading comprehension 😂. I would go back more often but I do hate the parking situation but it’s DC! But I’ll be back!

Letetia Thompson: Horrible Experience! Was visiting from out of town! Which is typically what most people in Georgetown is doing, visiting. A tourist would not be familiar with the "appointment only" policy. I was greeted by an extremely RUDE Asian lady yesterday! I understand policy and procedure, as I am a business owner. However, one does not have to be rude or insensitive to get the point across. I would never patronize this company, nor refer anyone else. Due to the horrible customer service! I am sure you all could care less. But, try being a little nicer to your customer base. Especially people traveling, when you have ZERO customers inside the store!
Raul Jimenez: This store has very poor customer service. They don’t really care about the walk in traffic. I showed up on 4/13/2022 around 4pm. I saw the sign on the front regarding appointments but was not sure if it was accurate. An asian lady opened the door and was very rude, and then and african american guy came out of no where and was also very rude and was trying to shut the door in my face. He told me that they don’t care about turning away customers because “we are meeting our sales any ways, we good” and shut the door. This business has no sympathy for customers. Its okay if you work by appointments but you need to be more kind to customers. Also based on the way you respond to people on these reviews it still shows that you don’t care about customers, you get defensive and don’t make people feel welcome. 1 star for sure.
Response: What part of “Appointment Only”did you not understand? We care about customers who take time to actually make the appointment and follow the procedure. Do not try to argue your way in, and do not question the rule. You are not entitled to anything.

I was walking around and saw the store and tried to enter, and this employee just opened the door and asked me if I had an appointment (like I had any idea to book an appointment for browsing?!). I said no, she slammed the door to my face while saying “you need appointment”. Well I need to not spend my money in your store, that’s as simple as that.
Response: You simply need to learn how to read before trying to enter. There are 4 signs that indicate that the shop is appointment only. Don't feel so entitled that you can just enter when the door is closed. There are plenty of 5 star reviews from those that actually matter.
Kneisha G: I spent over $100 in lyft costs to travel to major on Monday and Tuesday. Monday the was closed shop and when I emailed the manager they told them I'm in front of the store. They replied back we were open, you just needed to reschedule your appointment. I rescheduled it for the next day, and she didn't want me to touch nor walk around the store. Every time I tried to ask a question, she interrupted and said you can't try on the shoes, you can't try on the shoes! laughed and said do you even want me to come in? I haven't even told you wanted. Dukes: Went during COVID. An appointment is required to enter the venue. I arrived well before my scheduled time and still had to wait 10 -15 min post my appointment time before I could enter. It appears I was delayed entry because they were conducting inventory updates on the retail floor. This cannot be done in the Stock room? I digress. The store will have something for every “sneaker head”. However the staff didn’t seem as knowledgeable about their product. Also you are paying reseller price for certain shoes even if the release is a week after its general retail release. Not cool. I think ordering via Major’s website is a best situation vs going to the store. Visiting the store is more of a bucket list experience. Once you did it you’ll never need to do it again.
Dr. Brian Sevier: Easily the dopest shoe spot in the city. The owners are very friendly.. very knowledgeable and VERY down to earth! They make you feel like family every time you walk in the door!!

Trey B: They handle raffles and in store release days horribly. Do not recommend. Edit (since the business decided to leave a snarky reply): First come first serve is absolutely no issue. However, no ticketing system, no information given to those in line about stock, and ridiculous wait times are not the norm for in person first come first serve releases. All online raffles require an Instagram to enter, such an obvious cheap ploy for marketing when their website could easily handle it. My advice: find a shop that actually cares about their customers instead of snarky Google reviews.
Response: Our releases are first come first serve. It's unfortunate that you could not show up early enough to get in line, but don't blame us. We do care about customers. And that’s why there’s always plenty of customers that shop with us. What we don’t need is entitled shoppers who think they need a guaranteed pair of limited shoes during a pandemic. We serve customers that actually care about shoes. Not resale value.
Megan Snyder: Not only was the customer service terrible but extremely unprofessional. These owners / employees only care about taking your money & not the quality of the shoes they’re selling. Reached out to them about an issue with the yeezys I bought and they basically told me there’s nothing they can do. Not to mention the store looks nothing like it does on the website, when you walk in there’s boxes everywhere you can barely walk through. The women helping did know what she was talking about which pushed me to feel more confident in buying from them, but turns out I got two different size yeezys and they are not willing to do anything to help.

Sebastian Johannes Ferdinand: The tone in this store is the worst I have experienced in my time in Washington DC. On top of that, you are not allowed to try on the shoes. You are only allowed to look and then buy directly. Unfriendly, poor selection, no opportunity to try on. Well, then I'll just order from another store, ONLINE!
