Rose's Luxury: what do users think?

Mikayla Rose: This was our first time at a Michelin star restaurant and it was the most delicious and romantic dinner I’ve ever had. My husband and I went for my birthday dinner and it was so special. Our waiter, Ramsey, made the experience so personal and he was amazing! This was hands down the best service I’ve ever received at a restaurant from the moment we walked in until we left. Since it was my birthday, we were given a gift of a recipe and the ingredients we can make at home, as well as a raspberry tart with a candle! I’m incredibly impressed and will be returning. 10/10 recommend. Also, for the meal and service we received it was so worth the money and very reasonably price.

Jessie Castner: Amazing experience! All the food was delicious! We had 4 people and got one one of each dish. We were given a gift of the "Strawberry Spaghetti", which to be honest if I saw it on the menu I wouldn't order but it was one of the best dishes I had. My personal favorite was the Asian- Italian fusion spaghetti. My dessert was the Vietnamese Coffee Caramel Coconut Crumble Mochi Brown Butter Cake (I am in desperate need of this recipe, so good!). The service was amazing and all of the servers were so knowledgeable about what they were serving. It's definitely a great place to impress someone.

HK: Enjoyed all of the menus we ordered. Rose’s Luxury is a smart creative restaurant- not using any unheard or arcane ingredients or recipe, it effortlessly creates a new combination of tastes. The way it’s priced is hard to understand ($85 per person prefix for dinner regardless of what you order) and may make it relatively more expensive for some combination of dishes. Other than that, food and service was fantastic.

Kenny: Very nice dining experience. Only negative is the lack of ability to walk in. Orders: - soft shell crab: awesome combination of fried soft shell crab with lettuce wrap. Soft shell crab was fresh and well fried which is sometimes hard to find in the states. - steak and egg: unique presentation of tater tot in a 'race car' box. Steak is well cooked and seasoned simply. Nothing really special but this is how steak should be. - strawberry cake: good overall. Would prefer a more egg based cake. Sample: - movie theatre soup? : It was too salty. Not a big fan. Service was great overall. Would return when I'm in the area.

N -: It was my first time going to a Michelin star restaurant. The food is definitely unique, but not for people who like simple food. Not worth the price, despite its rating. The desserts are not adequately sized for a meal that big... Did not finish the dessert that served "2.9" people. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff. The upper level has a quaint dining space and the bathroom is very nice.
Response: Hi Nathalie, Thanks so much for your feedback. We would love to further discuss your experience with us and get a little more information from you. Could you please contact me directly via email: misha@rosesrestaurantgroup.com. Look forward to hearing from you!

Andrea Bronstein: This was my first time at a Michelin star restaurant and it was an amazing experience. I booked the garden bar area mistakenly thinking it was just for the garden area in general and I’d have a table so I was disappointed when I was seated but it ended up being a great experience. Josh, the bartender, was really personable and knowledgeable and my fiancé and I really enjoyed chatting with him. The food was really good, especially the steak and eggs dish.

Ryan Montoya: This meal was incredible. The English pea cake was maybe the highlight for me and I can't believe how well it traveled and presented. All the instructions were crystal clear and we had fun putting the food together. We chose this menu as we were fasting but I am very curious to try the non vegetarian option in the future. My wife and I haven't been able to get out to restaurants so this option was amazing, but I really do hope someday to experience Rose in person. Absolutely incredible service, from the responsiveness to my request to have the food delivered early (we were traveling that day) to the very friendly, accommodating and personal service of the delivery person (my wife didn't know it was a surprise, mistakenly sent the delivery person away to my work, and the delivery person followed up and realized my wife's error and still delivered the food!). I really can't ask for better service, and it makes this restaurant a true standout among our experiences dining during the pandemic.

Megan Martinez: We loved Rose’s Luxury! Our waiter was extremely nice. The whole staff was super friendly. We got to try 6 dishes since we were a party of three. The lychee salad is a must. The cabbage and chicken were also extremely delicious. We got two deserts and a single coffee French press. They brought us a special tart for my sister since it was her birthday! At the end I was so touched to get a gift at the end of the meal which was a pasta and spice set to make at home!

波。真秀ᶘ oᴥoᶅ: We reserved a table two weeks in advance, because we know how popular this place is. We enjoyed the refreshing change to casual comfort food, compared with our previous experience of haute-cuisine in Michelin star restaurants. Our server, Dominic, was very friendly and attentive. My wife's favorite dish was Seth's Fancy Fish Camp, while I liked the Cacio e Pepe Souffle. The Steak and Eggs was perfectly cooked, medium-rare, and the sidecar was a fun addition. At the beginning of the meal, we were served freshly baked madeleines, which are the best we have had in the USA.

Carolyn Zacharias: I came in nervously as a solo dinner and ate at the bar - I was immediately greeted by a warm and welcoming staff - from the host to each server explaining the dishes. John and Harley at the bar took excellent care of me through the creation of delicious drinks and perfect recommendations for food. I had the lychee and pork salad which at first glance seemed like a creation of mismatched ingredients, it was both refreshing and hearty. In addition I tried the leek pasta and the soy glazed chicken, both dishes I highly recommend as they are both comforting and creative!

The Palm - Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Janice L: Things started put rocky initially because we weren't greeted by anyone on the front, we went around looking for an employee. But after that, our waitress was amazing! I forgot her name, but she was a very tall female with blondish brown hair, loved her! It was our first time there and she was amazingly helpful with the menu. The oysters, steak and salad tasted amazing. It was the first steak I've ever had at a high end restaurant that WASN'T chewy!! We ordered the NY style cheesecake and chocolate cake for dessert. The cheese cake was a bit too sweet for me, but my fiance loved the chocolate cake. Really glad we decided to stop by here during our weekend stay in DC.

Cindee Sheeler: First time visiting for a friends birthday..Was absolutely amazing. Reggie and the staff were attentive, knowledgeable and very personable. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Upscale dining with an old world vibe, but not stuffy and pretentious. Reggie and a staff member sang to my friend for her birthday and they were wonderful..

Ryan Arnt: Great food, eclectic atmosphere a Steakhouse that sets the bar high. If you get a chance make sure you eat here.
Response: Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. It means so much when our customers share their experiences. We are glad we were able to meet your expectations! We hope to see you again soon!

rob santiago: It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing wines, food and service. Kylie was extremely knowledgeable and made great recommendations. She understood exactly how I wanted a monkey shoulder rusty nail and that nailed the night for me. I will be back.

Marie A Smith Robinson: The atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant. The walls are filled with cartoon sketches of notable people. I would not recommend the seafood dishes, we had the calamari and lobster bisque, they were subpar. We sent back the calamari and the lobster bisque was barely warm. Raisin bread was phonmenal. The steak was excellent mashed potato and asparagus accompanied it well.

Jessica Kelley: Requested a high top, and mentioned a true dairy allergy.. aka anaphylactic shocked and they didn’t Acknowledge either.. even though I made a reservation & made sure to mention this. Also was told to bad we are busy for my high top. My drinks took 20 minutes to get as well! Not a good place for date night unless you want disappointment

Nicole Deloney: The chicken parmeson is probably the best I've ever had. My friend had the steak medallions and they were a little spicey but good to me because I love spicey food. Service was good and prompt.

André Hentz: The service, food, and ambiance is fantastic. We recently celebrated our anniversary at The Palm, and will dine there again for sure.

Andre Monette: Zero stars, very disappointed with my experience here. Called at 8:30 to get a reservation and arrived at 8:45 to be told they close at 9:00 and they could not seat 4 people because they are closing. Really not what I would expect out of a place that bills itself as a go to steak house. Food is mediocre at best, will not return. Bummer because I used to enjoy it pre-Covid. This is the worst review I have ever given.

Gentle John: Good food as you would expect. Our waiter seemed a bit distracted
Response: Thank you for your review. We’re glad you had a good experience and hope to see you again soon!

United States National Arboretum: what do users think?

Eduardo Moser: We visited during cherry blossom days. They have a great variety of cherry trees and magnolias. It is a complement to know different cherry blossoms from those of the Tidal Basin. There is no proper public transportation, so the place is fairly free of tourists. We came to this place by car on the recommendation of a friend who lives in DC. The Bonsai collection is amazing. There is much to walk and explore. On a plain they have mounted the original columns of the Capitol. Bring some snacks and drinks, because there is no service in the place. Access and parking is free.

Laurie Zabala: Beautiful landscaping. Very tranquil & relaxing walk through the extensive herb garden. The Bonsai museum is a must. Great place for a picnic. The National columns are stunning. Entrance is free. Be sure to use the restroom at the visitor center when you first arrive because you'll do alot of walking & that's the only restroom on the grounds. Bring a water bottle & snacks as there is no restaurant on site. Definitely a treasure that's worth the trek to the east edge of DC.

Marty Shaw, Author, RCA, BCMA: Great experience! Just go! I was there in early spring and the colors were amazing. So many different specimens of plant material I never see commercially. They have an amazing assortment of unique things you won't find anywhere else. It was a real treat.

Da-Wang Wu: We came here in late April, and the Azalea blossoming was pretty amazing! Walking on the trail with the Azalea blossoming along the way was very nice. Parking inside the park can be tricky, so we parked in the lot right next to the entrance and walked 5-10 minutes to the main campus. Overall, it’s a beautiful place, and I would definitely come back.

CJ: Depending on when you visit the US National Arboretum, something different is peaking. In mid April, the fruit trees were just past peak, but the lilacs shrubs were close to full bloom. As I strolled thru the lilac grove, the soft lilac fragrance permeated the air. One of the US National Arboretum’s most prominent and a little puzzling landmarks is the old Corinthian National Capitol Columns residing on the Ellipse Meadow. The US National Arboretum was not the column’s intended home when they were quarried back in the early 1800s. Originally, the columns were built as a part of the east portico of the US Capitol Building now located about 3 miles away from the US National Arboretum. By the 1860s, when the dome of the Capitol was completed, the columns were deemed inadequate to support the new dome. It wouldn’t be until the mid 1980s before the columns would find their final home at the US National Arboretum. Twenty-two of the original 24 columns are on majestic display in Ellipse Meadow. During our trip to the US National Arboretum in mid April, the Azaleas were just starting to bud and bloom. So no good pictures this trip. Peak time for the Azalea garden at the arboretum is late April. I hear the Azaleas are a beautiful sight when the hillside is painted with splotches of different colors.

Omar Abu-sabha: It is a great place to walk and enjoy the area's vegetation. The Japanese and Chinese pavilions are very interesting, although they are closed in winter. The old columns of the capitol are without a doubt a must if you like photography.

Melissa B: Despite living in the DC area for over 30 years, I had never been here. What an oversight! The National Arboretum is beautiful and interesting. Everyone there, staff and visitors, were very friendly. I'll be bak again.

Karthikeyan Rajaram: Luck is when you run into a beautiful place like this without planning. Better luck is when you get into it in the company of a person who used to volunteer at this place. We didn’t really plan to be at the arboretum, considering that the Spring is still not Springy enough. We had seen enough of Cherry Blossoms in the Tidal basin area that we thought we could do something else. We just made it to this place on recommendation from one of our relatives, who also accompanied us. Since he was a volunteer here, he helped us navigate and gave us so much insights about the different kinds of plants, flowers, bonsais and the what the lovely people who work here, do. We drove around this place and still got to see more cherry blossoms, along with different other species of flora. The enchanting Bonsai museum is a must visit as it did take our breathes away. The old columns of the capitol and the grove of different state trees are some of the special features of this place. The flowers were not in full blossom and we definitely look forward to checking this place again in summer.

Logan Heilman: Visited for the Bonsai event they were having and had a blast. All the vendors were great and the museums bonsai and penjing exhibit was phenomenal. Will definitely be back.

Elisabeth “Beth” Ostrander: We only had about an hour and headed to the bonsai area. Wow! To see living gifts from Japan and China that were started and cared for since before the birth of our nation was truly outstanding. Befitting our National Arboretum! Will return to see more treasures!

The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Hampus Engstroem: Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the highest rated in this area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure will love it I'm sure! Fantastic staff. Everything was top-notch, clean, and met our expectations. Our supposed room “upgrade” wasn’t really any upgrade, but nonetheless it was a good room. Breakfast was also great. About a five minute walk from the nearest Metro station which made it nice to get around. A longer walk, but we walked all the way down to the National Mall in about 40 minutes.

Mother Tucker: Location is good. Easy to locate. Front desk staff was rude and condescending during every interaction. Room was nice but nothing exciting. The doormen and the staff on our floor cleaning were all exceptionally pleasant. They are what earned the three stars. Also, if you want eye candy, stay at the same time as dignitaries so the place will be full of secret service. I felt very safe.

Logan Deyo: Fantastic staff.

Katze Love: I've stayed here twice, only for a day or two each time. The lobby is beautiful and it's a cool location. Ritz is a strong brand, but since Covid it seems to have lost a little value. The club lounge has been closed for some time and the rooms could use an update. There are plenty of high-end hotel options around DC so for the price you pay here, you could also explore the St Regis or Four Seasons. Still a nice destination and good central location.

David Berman: The Ritz Carlton in Washington DC is one of the best hotels I have ever been to! The people who work there are so nice and welcoming. It is a hard place to not love. I personally loved my room. My room came with 2 bathrooms, A enclosed bedroom, and a bar area along with a dinner area. It was the height of luxury. The restaurant there was called the Quadrant. They had some of the best service I have ever had at a hotel restaurant. The food came in huge portions and looked spectacular. Overall, I truly enjoyed my experience there and I know that if any of you guys go there you will too! David Berman Public Space Rating Co. 2021-2022 Chief Rating Officer

Tammy Trungadi: My first time at the Ritz Carlton! It was so beautiful and my stay was fabulous! Maggie, a member from the staff, was so kind to me. She personally brought me carafe of coffee to my room! I felt like a princess! Room was spacious, beautiful and everything you possibly could need for a restful and relaxing stay!

Candy Be: Stayed for 4 nights. Mo at the Concierge desk and John at the restaurant coordinated cocktails one night and dinner another night for our large group. Mirna with room service was so friendly. Overall a pleasant stay.

onthegoboomer: We had a great stay here! The staff throughout the hotel were excellent at all times. We booked a room in the club lounge floor for access to the lounge which serves 5 times per day. We were told that this hotel did not automatically grant access to the club level just because you have that status from being a Marriott member and do receive at other Marriott properties. Here you have to pay. I am not sure if we would have received a complimentary upgrade to the club level but will check that out the next time. The club lounge was amazing and the staff could not do enough to ensure our comfort and happiness at all times. Fatiah, Nayana, and Beri were AMAZING and made our times in the lounge so enjoyable. They have breakfast, lunch, snacks, evening hors d'oeuvres, and dessert. Complimentary alcoholic beverages in addition to water juice and coffee/tea. The room was comfortable and the bed was great. The shower/bathroom is dated and the shower is small and the power of the water was a little overwhelming but we had a great visit and would stay here again and again.

Tyler Harris: Rooms were nice as well as the hotel staff. The whole ambience of the building was extremely pleasant especially the christmas decor. The food was just amazing. I got the hanger steak which was hands done the best flavored steak I've hand in my life. The only thing I didn't like was the admission fee for going to the pool which is just absurd seeing as how expensive the hotel is already.

District Winery: what do users think?

Josh Griff: Had the dessert wine and grilled cheese. The grilled cheese had tomato jam which was sweet and tasty. The dessert wine was crisp and not too overly sweet. We sat at the bar and were served fairly quick and was a nice snack before the Nationals game. There was a wedding and a bridal shower going on at the same time while we were there too.
Response: Josh - thank you for the positive feedback! We also love the grilled cheese!! We hope to see you again soon - Cheers!!

Fatima D: This is one of our favorite spots in the Navy Yard area. We have been frequenting this restaurant since they've opened. Unfortunately they're not as good as they used to be and it seems that their menu has gotten progressively worse. Their food is not exciting. Brunch options were very limited and there was a very little variety in the menu. But otherwise most of the things we got were good and tasty (the Brussels sprout was a disappotintment as some of it were overcooked.) Also, we would have ordered more if there were healthier options for brunch. We decided to go for desserts elsewhere. The ambiance and outdoor seating is very nice though. The food came around quickly but the waiteress that served us was so slow we wished we got out of the restaurant faster. Beware that navy yard is a very congested area and parking is not easy to find. There's a parking spot behind the restaurant but its constantly full so I wouldn't bank on it especially if there is a wedding or reception in the restaurant's upper floors. Just plan your trip a bit better with ample time for parking or Uber to the location!
Response: Hi Fatima- Thank you for taking the time to write us your feedback. We value our customers and strive to get better. As you know covid has greatly effected the world and we are doing everything we can to keep our customers happy and provide top quality and service. As a valued regular, I hope that you will come back to join us again soon.

Kimberly Humphries: Excellent customer service thank you Terry and Lauren. Let me start off by saying this place is clean, classy, and has an amazing Ambience. I am a person who appreciates a good wine. Lauren was our host for the tour she explained in detail about the different wines so that you will get a clear understanding of how to pick your wine choices. This place is inexpensive and everyone is welcome. Everyone was dressed very tasteful and professional. They offer different packages that are all great. I’m so glad I got to experience a wine tasting in the city which gave me so much knowledge and education. Pay to park is available right next to the winery. They are close to the water front, you can walk and enjoy after the tasting and get a beautiful view of the city. There are so many nice shops and restaurants near by. For people who can not go to a winery far away. This place is truly a jewel.
Response: Kimberly - thank you for the lovely review!! Both Terri and Lauren are valuable members of our staff and I will be sure to pass along your kind words! We are thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your experience yesterday and we hope to see you again soon. Cheers!

Kheyanna Suarez: The menu did not really appeal to my taste buds that day since I was hungry and wanted a hearty meal. But I enjoyed the happy hour glasses of wine which were $7 each. Our server, Steve, was wonderful and we had an amazing view of the water. They had some interesting wine flights + small plates for two deals on the happy hour menu that I would like to try. We just couldn’t decide on 3 different small plates since only 1 of them appealed to us. Maybe on another trip I’ll get a chance to experience their flights.
Response: Hi Kheyanna, thank you so much for the review and feedback. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit overall and will definitely pass along your comments! Cheers!

Daniel Thomas: First off, District Winery is a showcase of modern 2010s design - steel/glass plate windows from floor to ceiling/clean design/quirky modern art on the walls. I mean this as a compliment - it is light and airy as a result with a self assured air. The service was fantastic - from the front staff to our waiter Xavier. We ordered the flights and bites: the fried Brussels sprouts, the curried cauliflower, and the grilled cheese. As you can see, the food is very well presented. It is essentially basics elevated by presentation. A buttered grilled cheese with tomato, cheese, basil (essentially a pizza in sandwich form), the Brussels sprouts were well done and tasty, although I could have appreciated some more kick/tang - little dry. The cauliflower was also a little dry and not particularly “curried” although the cornbread with chutney was a nice counterpoint. It just was a little bland. As for the wines, I found them to be fairly one-note - these are on the dry and light side. This is more a personal preference - I prefer less dry, full bodied wines. Having said that, this would be a great place to go for a happy hour - the location in the Navy Yard overlooking the water is gorgeous. This is a place I would return to to socialize, but I think the food doesn’t quite compete with the area’s other options.

Miss Powell: I'm not vegan but my partner is and there were a number of options that we both enjoyed. The vegan grazing selection, olives, Brussel sprouts, cauliflower dished were amazing and more. Ample serving size and truly delicious with the wine. Meredith our server was excellent. We will be returning...soon. Thanking the chef, manger and wait staff for a wonderful dining experience.

Noa Vermaak: Our waitress Alexandra (Alex) today was amazing! She was super kind/funny and attentive. we ordered 2 Rosé, but after we ordered it we figured a bottle would be better. She left one full glas for me to taste and just brought the bottle. No extra charges! Those are the little things a guest will remember. The food here is also amazing and so was our wine. Can’t wait to go back and enjoy a sunny afternoon at District Winery

Parker Kelley: Great food & atmosphere! We made a reservation on a Friday at 7:00. We arrived and were immediately seated. Our amazing server Morgan took great care of us & recommend great drinks. For starters we got the chicken bites (must try) and the brussel sprouts ! The surrounding area was very busy & finding parking was a challenge.
Response: Hi Parker, thank you so much for your review! We’re so glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us! We hope to see you again soon! Cheers!

Marie Pierce: I would totally recommend the date night for two. The entire staff was so nice. We had so much fun with our wine guide Laura and lucked out that it was only us in the tasting room. Laura was knowledgeable and friendly. She answered all of our questions and more.
Response: Marie - we are thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your tasting experience with Lauren! We hope to see you again soon - perhaps for one of our other tasting experiences! Cheers!

Teaching Realtor: Great service. Unique food creations. Wonderful location. Will go back again soon to be able to enjoy outdoor seating-- this seating area must be booked in advance directly through the restaraunts' website.

Morrison-Clark Historic Inn & Restaurant: what do users think?

Kelly Wade: Stayed the night of 2/22. From the time I walked in to when I left I was treated exceptionally well. The room was beautiful (610), clean and very comfortable. Food was great, especially the omelet for breakfast. Server was really nice! Be sure to drive a smaller car, the garage is TIGHT (not a complaint at all, just FYI). I'm definitely staying here again on my next trip to DC. Fantastic experience.

Jennifer Davis: We stayed here for a long weekend. This was a beautiful boutique hotel and we chose to stay in one of their suites. The room was very spacious and impeccably clean! The hotel was quiet which was perfect since I spent much of the time studying during the day while my partner attended a conference at the Conference Center that was conveniently located a block and a half walk away. The staff had amazing customer service and due to the wonderful experience and the convenience of the location: metro stations nearby, great location for walking to everything; we will definitely stay here again!

Amber Henby: I stayed 1/ 17 -19 the room was great. Small but clean and comfy. The only problems I had with the place were the overly hot comforter so we had to sleep with the AC on super low and the expensive $45 a night parking. The concierge guy that worked the front desk was such a nice man. There was another man that always opened the door for me who was always willing to help. The staff was always so friendly. They seemed to be around morning, afternoon, and night. You can tell they barely get to go home. I hope their shifts aren't always that long. Those guys deserve raises. I would definitely like to come back to this hotel. It was close to a lot of small cafe's, bars, and a CVS. It was a great location.

AJ: My husband and I stayed at the Morrison Clark Inn for a few nights in a suite. Accommodations were very comfortable, spacious, and exceptionally clean (which I know because I wipe everything down in a hotel room. My wipes are often no longer white after wiping but here, they remained white.) The bed was more comfortable than my SleepNumber bed, and they provide 4 pillows on a queen bed, which was nice. Hilton properties provide only 3 pillows. I would’ve given 4 stars if a fridge and microwave had been in the room and recycling available somewhere. I have an issue with food waste and didn’t have a fridge to store leftovers. There is no ice machine that is accessible to guests but the hotel staff will bring ice upon request, but not enough for a cooler. The staff respond to requests faster than anywhere I’ve ever stayed. The location is great for walking anywhere you’d want to visit in D.C. We walked to Union Station in 30 minutes. The garage parking at the inn is an adventure — the garage can be accesses from the alleyway around the corner from the hotel. There is no hotel room card reader to open the garage door, so the staff have to allow guests access in and out, so it feels and probably is more secure than most parking garages. We called to let the front desk know we were “home” to be allowed in. It wasn’t a hassle but it is unusual which sort of added to the experience of staying at the Morrison Clark. I would absolutely return here at each visit to D.C., if only they had a fridge and microwave. I did love my stay and recommend it if you don’t need a fridge and microwave.

susan able: I was so pleasantly surprised by my stay. After selling my DC house and moving to the Eastern Shore, I find myself needing to stay overnight in DC about once a week. So I get to try a lot of hotels. Price is a factor, and I chose Morrison Clark for that reason and the location this weekend. I found it to be an incredibly welcoming, comfortable hotel. Our room was small, but the bed was great and it was very clean. I love the interior courtyard and quirky Asian theme. The parking is tight, but it’s the city. I’ll be back for sure because I liked the comfy vibe.

chris antonelli: Excellent stay. Was in town for a volleyball tournament at Convention Center. Only 5 minute walk so perfect location. Parking is in a private garage downstairs, convenient but pretty tight. Room is very small but comfortable and bathroom is very nice. Small fridge was much appreciated. We had breakfast at the restaurant twice, both times excellent service and good, standard food. It was VERY nice to come back to a quiet hotel after a long day in the convention center. The Marriot is super busy and loud, the bar is like a nightclub.
Response: Hi Chris! Thank you so much for the review. We love that we were able to provide you some quiet during the tournament - we like to think of the Morrison-Clark as a respite in the city. Please come back, again, for next year's tournament!

Clarence A Ratliff Jr. (METALFNGRZ88): This Hotel is incredibly clean and incredibly fancy looking. It appears to be a regular at apartment from the outside. Card key isn't required for elevator use that's always a plus. Room was a little cramped but had a really nice bathroom and everything was very clean and heard absolutely no noise from any other guest around me.

Thomas Haney: The room was clean and modern, the shower was wonderful, and all the staff greeted us with warmth and kindness. We forgot our iPad there when checking out, which they immediately called and let us know as soon as it was found. They packed it up, but I couldn't get FedEx to go pick it up at their location, so their staff took it all the way to a dropoff location on our behalf without a hint of a complaint or displeasure. They earned themselves a repeat customer for life, I am very grateful for their flexibility and customer service.

Mac: Do not stay at this hotel! Room was manageable, but they charge $40+ a day to park and have an awful parking situation in an alley and underneath the building. We scraped our car on a piece on unmarked concrete protruding from the wall of the exit ramp. Seems like a Department of Buildings violation. When brought up to management they said they cannot do anything about it and that we were making a big deal out of it. Will never stay here again!

Sarah Bigney McCabe: The staff here were incredibly friendly and so helpful with everything. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We will stay here again!

The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown, Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Jessica Leifer: Disappointing. Can hear the highway from the room, and they supposedly didn’t have any other rooms to offer us. Definitely not worth the price. Rooms should be soundproofed better. Mediocre— nice Marriott at best. Probably could have spent $200 less and stayed at a hotel just as nice, and way quieter. The lobby is adorable and homey feeling. Service was great. Location is great.

Alyssa Glorioso: I had the pleasure of working with the director of catering, Liliana Klein, on a gorgeous wedding this past weekend. I was the couple's planner and was thrilled to be able to produce a wedding at Ritz Carlton Georgetown. Throughout the process, Liliana was the consummate professional: warm and welcoming, communicative, addressed any and all questions, followed up after any meetings promptly, and on the day was FANTASTIC to work with. I could tell it was a high priority of Liliana to go above and beyond for the couple in making their wedding weekend a dream experience for them and an effortless celebration for their guests. Would work here for every wedding if I could! Plus, gatherings of 70-90 are my favorite!! Thank you, Liliana and RC staff.

Clarence Reber III: Easily one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in the US. It was our third different Ritz-Carlton location, and it surpassed the other two in terms of service and feel. Let's start with the negatives: parking garage is on the opposite side of the same block and down a hill. So if you plan to self park, unload your stuff and family first (it was cheap though, so that's a plus). Also, there's plenty signs of wear on the furniture and trims in our suite. But honestly, we didn't care about any of that. We were greeted by three door men who escorted us to seats at the concierge, and then later to our suite. The concierge was extremely welcoming, upgrading our room and offering late checkout without us having to say a thing. The complimentary glasses of champagne are a really nice touch. The suite was gigantic and I really didn't want to leave. Bed was super comfortable, the tub was awesome, and the shower was huge. The bathroom was also very large with a separate toilet/bidet station. Oh, and the extra powder room was nice. Room service brought breakfast at the exact minute it was requested, and it was really good. Cutest little bottle of hot sauce, too. I understand that I'm glowing about this space largely due to the upgraded suite, and that I'll never get that again, but I seriously cannot wait to visit here again.

Patty Arvielo: I'm sorry but hope that my review helps when making a decision on what hotel to book. This is a 3 star hotel at best, it appears as though it is a Marriott not a Ritz Carlton. For a better choice book the Four Seasons Georgetown. I have an Exec Suite , the furniture is stained and old, the mini bar has absolutely nothing in it. Just not a 5 star hotel.

Alice Greenberg: I absolutely loved my stay here! The service was amazing the entire time! I stayed in one of the "Wellness rooms" and really loved being down the hall from the spa as that was my primary reason for staying. If you're not going to the spa I'm not sure it's worth the upgrade but my room was very comfortable. I was advised at check-in that the wellness rooms were closer to construction on a neighboring building but the noise was minimal and didn't bother me at all. The food was expensive but high quality and generously portioned.

Sean C: For a high end hotel, the rooms were old, not well maintained, and very underwhelming. We were super disappointed when we got into our room. It was mediocre at best. It looks like what you would expect at one of the lower end Marriott properties, but not a Ritz. The shower is super small, the toilet is very low to the ground and uncomfortable. The bathtub was dirty, the towels were small, thin and not soft at all. The wallpaper also has stains in a number of places. The lobby of the hotel is nice and the location is good. There are two wings in the hotel and our room was in the West, so I don’t know if this is an older part of the hotel or not, but it could use major renovations for us to want to come back again.

Toni Dzinic: My wife and I had our wedding at the Ritz in their Fahrenheit Ballroom, and what a beautiful night it was! We had ~60 guests and that is about the most people I’d personally recommend for the ballroom. Liliana Klein is the person to talk to when you want to plan a wedding there and she’s such a pleasure to work with. She walked us through everything from day 1. The food was excellent, the preferred vendors were also a joy to work with. Seriously, I’ve never experienced better service at a hotel. If you’re considering having your wedding here, do it! If you’re coming here for a night or two, or just to enjoy some dinner and cocktails, you also won’t regret it. We’ll be back!

Sequoia DC: what do users think?

Ashley Emtcheu: The food is delicious, the place is decorated beautiful with Christmas decorations besides its classy and upscale look. Wasn't able to try a drink I was recommended to try by the server but overall great experience. Place is located in a great location which is great if your wanting to get great photos with friends/family. Parking Garage is 2 minutes away in walking distance to this restaurant which is very convenient. 👍🏾

Zuleirys Santana Rodriguez: Amazing customer service! The outdoor dining is just soo extremely gorgeous, spacious and clean in every way. You have a lovely view of the water, the Sweden Embassy, and just the river! The food was just next level, specially the octopus that was cooked to perfection and I will certainly have it again when I come back to bring my boyfriend.

IamJoedie S: This was my first time and the experience was awesome. We came for a birthday dinner. A party of 12 arriving at 5 PM on a Sunday. We had two servers they were on top of everything. There was never a moment a glass was empty. Food service was quick hot and absolutely delicious. I had the steak was absolutely surprise when the potato came out with macaroni and cheese…must order if, no when you come. If you’re looking for a sexy restaurant to have a brunch, lunch and or dinner this is definitely the spot it overlooks the water great date spot. I will definitely come back again. Next time for the brunch. I hear that it is phenomenal. Come. Eat. Drink. Enjoy!

jen w: I gave this 3 stars because of a couple reasons first we had a reservation Saturday at 1:30 pm for their tapas brunch. They were super slow getting our food to us at the beginning. We ordered two rounds of food before the waitress came back and told us it was last call. We were barely there an hour. There is a 2 hour limit, I feel that if they have reservations till a certain hour they should allow the two hour minimum for people. It’s 64.95 per person they aren’t doing a favor for anyone. Next we chose to sit inside and it was obnoxiously loud. There was a group of people that were talking and screaming to each other, while I’m glad they were having a good time management should have asked them to simmer down because all the rest of us could to was watch them because u couldn’t talk for the noise. Having said all that, the food was very good. We opted for Bellinis and Mimosas. They were very good. The waiters walked around with carafes of Champagne and refilled you. My glass never got empty. I would go back here but make an earlier reservation and in cooler weather where I could it on the patio so I don’t have to deal with the noise.

Renee McCracken: Mother's Day Brunch at Sequoia has now become our new tradition. The food was excellently prepared and the service was outstanding. The entertainment was a great addition to our experience. I did have one hiccup during our time there but it was promptly handled and it was like it never happened. I love Sequoia and will definitely recommend and return.

Vy H.: Came here recently Saturday night for a private holiday event—had a great time! The restaurant is huge and beautifully decorated to fit the Christmas/Holiday theme. We had open bar—they have a huge selection of liquor! Food was decent—the hors d'oeuvres were delicious, the main dishes were just okay. Staff are all pretty friendly. There’s a coat check room downstairs when you enter, and an elevator if you don’t want to walk up all the stairs.

John Varkey: We came for an anniversary dinner. The hostesses were a bit surly and disinterested but our waiter was great. The views are fabulous. My wife had the crab cakes and I had the lobster scampi. They were both fabulous but according to my wife the lobster had the edge. We went for a nice stroll along the water and around Georgetown after dinner. A very nice evening was had.

Kat B: Loved this place so much. My partner and I came here for our anniversary, not only was the view beautiful but the energy/service of the staff was amazing . The food was spectacular, definitely get the burrata if they have it ! We were pretty full but still made room for dessert and an espresso which was also delicious . Definitely recommend for a date night/ celebration . Prices were in line with the portions/ambiance .

Crystal Sings: Beautiful simply Beautiful 💜My daughter and I brought my mom to last Saturday’s brunch for her 80th birthday and we really enjoyed the service, food, and ambiance of the restaurant. George, our waiter was awesome and made our experience so memorable! Thank you George!

elizabeth rose: Visiting from florida and this restaurant was highly recommended by locals and im delighted i took their advice! The atmosphere was great, very inviting and scenic, indoor and outdoor seating offered with a nice view of the river. food was really good and exceeded expectations and the server Dominique went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our experience :)

The St. Regis Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Lisa: You will hear the food and beverage director before you see him. During our trip, he raised his voice multiple times quite angrily - it was quite concerning to hear him speak to guest service staff in such a way and that he was comfortable enough to do it in front of guests, too. Otherwise, my husband and I had an absolutely lovely stay. Our room was amazing and there were lots of friendly faces. I also especially enjoyed the pillows, and I wish I had thought to ask what type they were as they were super comfy.

Hampus Engstroem: Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a hotel. This website will compare thousands of booking web sites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the highest rated in this area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't regret it. We went to St.Regis afternoon tea to celebrate the cherry blossom season and it didn't disappoint. The place is nice and their tea selection is amazing. It's a set menu. I personally enjoyed the savory part more. While the sweets were well represented and looked amazing, nothing tasted special but the scones. I highly recommend it I just wished that I have the choice of picking what I'd like instead of having little of everything. They offered a to-go box for the rest of the sweets though.

Sade Smith-Edwards: The hotel is amazing and me and my husband went here for the afternoon tea this passed Friday. It was our 5 year anniversary and we were thinking of staying the night after a fun day of hanging out in the city. Our opinion had changed when the person servicing us essentially never addressed me, even when I was the one asking questions. When my husband asked to have champagne, only HE got to taste it and I was blatantly ignored. She had her back to me as often as possible... That is until I was the one paying the check. I have NEVER, and I do mean never, been treated that way in any service capacity. This completely deterred me from book a night there. I'm sure the staff and hotel is wonderful but this was not a good look. And this was our 5 year anniversary. Probably will think twice before considering going here for a stay.

Ghaida Alshabnan: We went to St.Regis afternoon tea to celebrate the cherry blossom season and it didn't disappoint.

Squirrely: Five stars all around. The rooms are elegant, updated, clean, and comfortable. Each staff member I dealt with went above and beyond to help. I was especially pleased with the front desk employee who grabbed me a cup of coffee in the middle of the night when I had to catch an early flight. The location is excellent and there are plenty of restaurants and attractions within walking distance.

J. Jasmine Villanueva: My husband and I took a last minute trip to Washington and decided to take my parents to this facility and couldn't be happier. Rooms and service were nothing short of amazing. The staff at any St. Regis property NEVER disappoints. Oh, and it's literally a 3 minute walk from the White House and restaurants, etc. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is visiting Washington DC.

Sarah Morris: Unfortunately this was a disappointing and underwhelming experience. The hotel is pretty but lacks 5 star service. I have dust allergies and spent most of my time here with a clogged nose which miraculously cleared up when outdoors!! I assume this was to a lack of cleaning of their filtering system. The staff did their best and offered complimentary breakfast but I really cannot excuse having a poor night's sleep in a hotel? Certainly not worth the price ticket and I would choose elsewhere if I return.

Liem Huynh: We stayed for one night in the Metropolitan Suite in June 2022. The room desperately needs renovation and service was nonexistence. Disappointing experience overall. No prearrival email, no response when I emailed the butler service for restaurant reservation, zero communication from the butler during the entire stay. Unfriendly lobby staff, no greeting, had to open the door on my own at times. The Metropolitan Suite was old and in need of a renovation. Dirty pillow cases, worn out carpets, water from faucet smelled a little punky and we even found pieces of shattered glass on the floor. Only positive experience was the check-in, after that everything went down hill. Recommend trying something else while you’re in DC. Much better experience at the Ritz Carltons if you’re a Marriott fan.

Joe J.: Amazing tea experience in DC, probably the best in terms of service, flavor, presentation and selection of teas. The cherry blossom touch is a nice and pleasant surprise. Although it is on the pricey end, definitely recommend!

Ayesha SH: I attended the Whimsy event on April 1. Pros and cons below: Pros: Wine was good. We ordered a Napa cab so it was costly. Ambiance was decent. The best part was their waiters who were super friendly and hospitable. Cons: I was told parking would be validated prior to attending the event. On the day of they refused. We spent upwards of $600 and they wouldn’t validate the parking. Food was ok. I didn’t feel that great later at night. The princess thing was childish, hilarious, and unnecessary. Adults attend these kinds of events not kids. Overall not worth the money they charged us.

United States Botanic Garden: what do users think?

ThePinkfreak805: A really beautiful and enjoyable place! They’ve got some really awesome plant species here! The tropical room is especially great! Not only is it beautiful, but with the humidity you’ll really feel like you’re in the rainforest! Also very cool to see the endangered plants you aren’t likely to see anywhere else.

Sara García: If I could, I would never leave this place. From the moment you approach the building, your can see and, more importantly, smell the wonderful collection of plants everywhere. My all-time favorite part of the grounds, the section I visit every time I'm in DC. is the nook in Zone 5 with the carnivorous plants- something you definitely don't see every day! Find a bench to rest in your favorite zone, track down every single species of plant, learn about different gardening techniques, or hang out in the canopy walk of the rain forest to catch some awesome views of the city. Either way, make sure you swing by on your next visit to DC!

Alex Navarro: Always lovely. The inside and outside gardens are full of flowers. Great place to take kids. They even have a children’s garden where kids can plant something and water it. So cute! You can spend a lot of time here if you like, but you can also easily see everything in about an hour.

Richa Rashmi: This is such a delightful retreat for an afternoon lunch or just a date in the different ecotones of the world. You could walk into a completely tropical climate full of tropical trees that have terrace views, or walk into a desert of cactus. There’s a section on medicinal plants followed by rare and endangered species which is mind blowing. I absolutely loved my shortest trip to Hawaii and then to a garden of orchids and roses. Be sure to checkout the inner and outer gardens. There are interesting wall murals of tea from China and other such use. But the most amazing part was the TOILET. Yes, you heard it right. It’s full of ornamental plants that smells amazing and the sound of water and birds will make you feel you’re in the cleanest part of the world, unlike what public restrooms are known for.

Colten Adams: The BEST indoor botanic garden conservatory I've ever been to. The ceilings are incredibly high and there are catwalks to walk high above the plants. It is very hot and humid inside so I'd recommend dressing light. If you enjoy plants I would highly recommend these botanic gardens. The exterior gardens are not the best I've seen, but the indoor ones definitely are.

Jeremy Andra: The botanical gardens are a beautiful hideaway from the normal everyday views of the world. An amazing display of some of the wonderful offerings this world has to offer in the way of beautiful plants and miscellaneous greenery. We were shocked to find there is no charge to see any of this and would highly suggest you stop in and check it out.

abdiel blas: I have had a great experience here. The gardens are very well kept. Nice place to get fresh air or as a romantic date. I will say they may need a little bit of better signage to let you know exactly where you're at. I found it a little difficult to read the map with the numbers. Other than that I highly recommend Botanic Gardens!!!

Ryan Brunk: Good staff outdoor gardens were very nice. I was a little underwhelmed with the size of the greenhouses but they were extremely well cared for. The whole facility indoor and out showed the care of its staff. Most impressive collection is orchids but pay attention as they are spread all over the facility. Don't forget to look up as well as down.

Hyo Jin Moon: Beautiful garden that is open to the public for free. There are spots where you can sit and enjoy the weather and also the indoor green house that has so much to see (and learn. Lots of educational components). I highly recommend visiting here with kids of all ages.

Ben Matthews: If you’ve spent the day walking up the mall and around the museums, then this is a fantastic place to unwind. The glasshouse is beautiful in its own right, and features plants from many different climates. And the outdoor gardens are equally lovely. Definitely worth a stop if you’re near the Capital Building.

Tudor Place: what do users think?

Sara Ceresa: I was mostly interested in seeing the gardens, which didn’t disappoint. I also quite enjoyed the tour of the house including the historical context of the property’s ownership and recognition of the critical roles of slaves and caretakers in the history of the property.

Rogie Legaspi: Great place to spend an afternoon browsing the historic artifacts in the house. The garden is perhaps more interesting to visit in the summer than late fall. The neighborhood where it's located is such a charming place. Worth visiting.

pooria riahi: This is a very charming place hidden in Georgetown and visiting it is free. places in a cute neighborhood and its gardens could be a relaxing destination for an afternoon. However, I have to voice my concern on the state of the place and how badly it is being kept. In my mind, if they need money, it is ok to charge visitors but gardens are delicate things to maintain and need attention.

B Daisy: Gorgeous. We got to rest in the garden for half an hour before our tour of the house started, which was beautiful and so serene. The house itself comes with a great amount of history, and the people who work here really care about the story and try to provide you with as much information as they can, which was really inspiring to see. You could tell, just by looking at Francis (our amazing guide) and the rest of the staff, how significant the house and the narrative was to them. Their enthusiasm and dedication was beautiful, and the garden and the house itself was such a treat to see. Loved every minute of it.

Natalie Thomas: We did the elegant Victorian tea party and toured the Historic House. 👌🏽👌🏽

Aron Reyder: Nice place to visit. The house is a bit over "set-up", and feels more like a museum than a conserved house from the 1800s. The entrance fee is $10 per person, and it includes a guided tour of the house and a garden map. Since the place is built like a museum, it should be ran like one and offer the option to walk around by yourself. Especially since they have a log book in each room about all the items in the room, which while on the tour you can't really study. The garden and outdoors are beautiful and should be seen, the inside is nice but not worth the time or money.

Michelle Mitton: A beautiful stop in our tour of Georgetown. The house was closed due to COVID but the gardens were worth the visit. We loved the neighborhood around the estate and the fountains and gardens are well kept and lovely. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Natalie Moore: I am a wedding photographer specializing in film photography. Myself and another photographer hosted our workshop, The Film Theory Workshop at the Tutor Place and it was the perfect place for our small get together! They were accommodating with helping us navigate the ins and outs of making our workshop come to life, and the backdrop was perfect for multiple shoot locations. The historic grounds in Washington, D.c. tell an incredible story and was the perfect fit for our workshop! Hope to shoot wedding there one day! ps. We were so excited when our workshop ended up going on to be featured in Style Me Pretty! Big thanks to Tudor Place! Images by Natalie Jayne Photography

Sammy Mills: Beautiful grounds but not much to it. It would be a beautiful place for a wedding or a photo shoot. We didn’t get a chance to tour the house, they happen on the hour. To walk through the gardens is $3 and you get a brochure about the property.

Rachel McCoy: Beautiful in the spring time with the flowers in full bloom. Gardens can be visited for just $3. There are plenty of benches to sit and admire the view of this little idyll in the middle of Georgetown.

InterContinental Washington D.C. - The Wharf, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?

Hampus Engstroem: Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. This website will compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the best in this area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure will love it I'm sure! The staff at the InterContinental on the Wharf D.C. is all-round amazing. I am so happy we chose this venue for our recent event. Every member of their team is truly hospitable, and they are dedicated to every client’s success and every guest’s experience. The Sales and Event Managers were helpful/agile partners to us through multiple event date and contract changes, thanks Mayte & Alicia! The Banquet Director was dependable at every moment for our 3 day-event and made sure everything was executed to perfection, thanks George! The hosts at the front door/front desk helped all the guests in our room block have an easy and enjoyable stay for the duration of our event. Thanks to all for helping make our event a success!

Kyle Lennon: Shout Out to Meredith, she is a gem and a half at this hotel! This property is very new and certainly a show stopper, I love the ultramodern design and the bathrooms were stunning. I also loved the balcony overlooking the river and walkways. The bar had great service and great personalities to accompany your cocktails while they served you. Top notch hotel and will certainly make this my preferred DC hotel!

Adrienne Messe: The staff at the InterContinental on the Wharf D.C. is all-round amazing. The hosts at the front door/front desk helped all the guests in our room block have an easy and enjoyable stay for the duration of our event. Thanks to all for helping make our event a success!

James Barton: The location is the absolute best if you're going to a concert at The Anthem. Everything about the hotel was lovely, clean, and we'll maintained. Service was perfect. Espresso machine and hot water for tea in the room was a good detail. Of course, this is a very pricey hotel, even for DC. Our room was near the elevator, but there was never a noise issue from outside the room.

Hope Poulsen: Pool is WAY smaller than pictures, we were all shocked at how small. The pool deck gave me and every single one of my friends splinters. And, there are only 5 lounge chairs for the entire pool. Staff is very friendly, but we had to ask for the same requests multiple times. So they seem a little disorganized. Room was very nice & clean and the location is perfect! I chose this rating because of the value - it’s not a terrible place to stay by any means, but you don’t get what you pay for. Not unreasonable to have high expectations when paying almost $500 a night, and this place did not meet those expectations.

Fiola Mare: what do users think?

Richard Holst: Elegant and delicious. Everything is gears towards an excellent experience. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. The restaurant has many quiet and corners with the perfect atmosphere. It is well organized and very clean, every inch has amazing details. The food and drink selection is extensive and everything we had was prepared to perfection. The views of the water are amazing and there are plenty of things to walk to in the area. We will be back here often.

Keana Williams: This was an enjoyable food experience from the appetizer breads and jelly, to the Prawn appetizer dish all the way to the lightest and fluffiest pancakes I possibly have ever had! No extra syrup needed!!! Not to mention, the bottomless Mimosas (or other drinks) weren't that bad either... I'm sure you will enjoy this place, just make sure you bring your check book! 😄😄

Dario Camilo Barros Viñas: 5 stars for real in every aspect. It has both a very fancy area indoor and a fancy yet relaxed area in the patio. The service was amazing, the food was superb, the cocktails were delicious and generous. Canver the manager was very kind and served us the calamari complementary make us feel even better served! I didn’t know the Branzino taste this good until I tried it here. We were only two so we couldn’t try more plates but do yourself a favor and try Fiola Mare!

Christopher Gillespie: All about the dining experience here, they go above and beyond. Did the bottomless brunch with amazing views. Brunch at this level of execution will be very tough to match. The blue fin ahi could be best bites of 2022 to date. The scallop crudo was melt in the mouth. Worth the price of admission.

Pe Lin (Cilibluebird): A five star seafood restaurant that deserves the five star. Great for special events minimum 50 USD per per person, but well deserved. Hakan was our server and he made this experience exceptional. Pasta’s are excellent. Georgetown next to water. Outside seating is great in the evenings of hot summers.

Roz Manning: Fabulous venue for our intimate wedding dinner with family. The Mermaid Room and adjoining patio were perfect. The appetizers were delicious, dinner was delectable and service superb.

Vannora Hawkins: We dined here for my husband's birthday. The food, service and ambience was A+. He got the Wagyu and it was cooked to perfection. My branzino was light, flaky and simply delicious. The oysters were AMAZING! The Brussels Sprouts is a must try! After trying to decide over 8 restaurants, we were glad we ended up at Fiola Mare.

Mike: Easter brunch was amazing. Staff, as always, is fantastic.Intro: watercress soup and the other dish white asparagus.Mains: blue crab omelette and Australian lamb.Glad to see that a packed restaurant. Make reservations!

Alemselam Tekeba: So delicious food. Everything is gears towards an excellent experience. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. The restaurant don’t have an Apple Pay, since me and my wife use’s almost everywhere and one additional thing wore if you don’t have an ID card you can’t be served alcohol even if we look adults we felt uncomfortable but we used other credit cards to pay and we cancel my wife’s wine order. The views of the water are amazing and there are plenty of things to walk to in the area.

Tash M: Had a private dinner here and it was an exceptional experience. The food was lovely, so was the service. Special thanks to Darina for being so attentive and providing an especially memorable experience.

The Hay-Adams: what do users think?

Bill Maniatis: From the moment the door is opened for you, you will know that you are walking intro a most beautiful well maintained historical hotel. The facility is so well maintained and he attention to detail is second to none! Everything is clean and organized to perfection! Adding to that facility is the amazing staff! So helpful and polite and willing to perform the jobs so amazingly well. Proper turn down service, friendly and polite and so friendly This is the only place to stay in! The location is wonderful and extremely convenient however what makes The Hey Adams standout is the wonderful staff, attention to detail and how the hotel is maintained. Thank you all so much!

Evan D: Average person review: visiting from the South, and it’s an odd way to type out a review on how employees at a hotel can make you feel like you’re family here while thinking about how it’s their job to do so. It’s not a forced smile they put on, but rather a genuine atmosphere in all that they do for you. My bed was made multiple times a day, my dirty clothes were neatly folded in a small area in the room and I always had fresh towels. (It’s just a big thing for me) As I said before, the staff was more than welcoming! One gentlemen opened the door with a smile outside, and another opened it with a smile on the inside. I’m not anything special, but the Hay Adams staff sure did make me feel as if I was the most important person visiting for the next few days! Breakfast was outstanding; again, I’m a Southerner so breakfast is our staple. Didn’t get a chance to see the rooftop bar after walking 8 miles around DC because we were tired but everything about the inside and restaurant were perfect. As I said in the beginning is exactly what I want to say by ending; it’s a very hard way to describe how this building and staff make you feel like you’re family, and not just a temporary resident to fill a budget quota. There’s truly an indescribable feeling that walking into the Hay Adams is just like going to a distant relatives house. You don’t see them every day, but when you first arrive on the front porch, you’re greeted with a warm welcoming that makes you feel as if you’ve only been gone a few hours. 5 stars.

Katherine Collins: Treated my sister and her husband to a stay at the Hay-Adams & it’s one of the very few times I can say that it was absolutely worth every cent. Our rooms were impeccable, every member of the staff we encountered was genuinely caring, & every meal we ate was exceptional. Everything exceeded my expectations. I’ve never experienced anything like it; they must go out of their way to hire the best of the best & treat them well because nothing fell short of absolute excellence. I don’t think I could ever stay anywhere else in the city. It made our time in DC magical.

Hampus Engstroem: Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a hotel. This web site will compare countless hotel sites and normally will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This place is one of my favorites in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you will love it I'm sure! From the moment the door is opened for you, you will know that you are walking intro a most beautiful well maintained historical hotel. The facility is so well maintained and he attention to detail is second to none! Everything is clean and organized to perfection! Adding to that facility is the amazing staff! Tracey Vlahovic: This was an experience! From my room I can see the white house and such a wonderful view! I took the best pictures! The hotel bar was great and wonderful staff greeted us. We had many rooms booked and so many of my family came along and everyone enjoyed! I highly recommend!

Adam Galazka: Overall, just an amazing experience. I would give them 4.5 stars. Mainly because after our stay, we found some rim and tire damage from valet parking. Working with their management to address it. Booked this through Amex Platinum. Their check in process was amazing. From doors being open to everyone knowing your name, just great. This hotel is right down the street of the White House. Just an amazing location. Room was great with St. John view of the church. Room was spacious. Shower had an amazing pressure. Enjoyed the little touch of water and mandarins. Turn down service was also great as we did not expect it. We will definitely be back. Restaurant and bar/lounge on the premises are amazing.

brian perkins: Was visiting DC for the first time since the pandemic. So glad we stayed at The Hay-Adams. So charming. So comfortable. So beautiful. Such great service (the doormen, the waiters, the hostesses great you by your name every day!). I only had breakfasts there…and I miss them. Especially the corned beef hash. And they charged my Tesla. Perfect.

Priya R.: What an amazing experience. The location of the hotel is spectacular, the service is amazing and the rooms are beautiful. Special thanks to Brian Thomasson for going above and beyond to make sure my twin boys felt special during the stay. If you truly want a memorable experience, you cannot stay anywhere else. We plan to come back soon…many thanks for the fantastic memories.

Michelle W: My husband and I stayed in the Lafayette Park view suite for three nights and we were impressed with every aspect of this beautiful hotel - from the courteous and pleasant service from every employee we interacted with, an awesome concierge who set us up with an informative walking tour of DC, to the wonderful in room dining staff. Off the Record was a nightly favorite! We can’t wait to come back and stay again!

Thomas Corcoran: Despite an issue with some minor room cleanliness, the hotel management handled it extremely well. The staff turned what would have been a disappointment into a very positive experience. We look forward to returning for a relaxing stay again.

Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens: what do users think?

Middle Aged Dad Reviews: This place was definitely worth the visit, especially if you enjoy the outdoor/floral ideas. You can walk around the grounds for free if you want (which is the best part in my opinion), but you need to pay the fee to go inside the mansion. It is worth it if you are interested in seeing museum quality pieces (gold chalices, paintings, jewerly/crowns, etc). If you get a chance, I highly recommend visiting in the spring at when all your flowers and trees are blooming, as it is uniquely magical how everything comes to life. So much color and calmness.

Claire Mizutani: Such a wonderful Estate! My family came by after lunch and definitely didn’t give ourselves enough time to see everything before it closed. I highly recommend going on a guided tour of the mansion as there are very few signs detailing what items are and why they are part of the collection. The gardens are lovely and I especially enjoyed the Japanese garden but that may be because of the season of my visit. The greenhouses are a bit tight but had a beautiful display of orchids.

Melissa Antul: I can't say enough about how amazingly beautiful this place is! Everywhere you look there is something else just amazing. The grounds are gorgeous. We were there the 2nd week in April and there were flowers everywhere. You can see that it will become even better. If you want more flowers-just check out the hothouse orchids. What an amazing collection this woman had...of everything! You could probably come here repeatedly and find something new every time. The house is fascinating and fun to explore.

Azadeh Hassani: It is unbelievable how much nature and beauty you can find right here in DC and in one location. Find a few hours to go to Hillwood and enjoy its magnificent gardens, indoor collections and the amazing history behind all that. This is not to be missed

Olga Graves: What an interesting and gorgeous place!Absolutely loved it here!! and we were so lucky to have beautiful weather (went here at the end of September) to roam the grounds too. Such an extensive and impressive collection of the Russian arts and items of the Romanov family (largest outside Russia). The staff was very friendly and helpful. We went in the morning (they open at 10) which helped avoid the crowds because it got busier later on, but not bad at all, compared to other places in DC. Gift shop was beautiful and had unique items. The entrance fee was shockingly affordable, especially for a place of this kind. They have student and senior discounts too. Masks are required inside the buildings, but not otherwise.

Harvey Tillipman: It was a beautiful day and we walked around the estate. The flowers were in full bloom. The azaleas were magnificent. Visited the museum and enjoyed all the interesting items. Highly recommend while the flowers are in bloom.

Dmitry: Historical house with a remarkable collection of Russian art. It also has a beautiful garden. We joined a guided tour which was quite informative. Do not miss orangerie with orchids collection.

Patrick: Super interesting place to visit. We had a little picnic out in the back and then explored the house. There is a suggested donation to tour the facility, but if you just walk the gardens, that is free. Marjorie Merriweather-Post's collection of art and jewels is very impressive. It is wild to think that the house has not been changed and looks like it did when she occupied it.

Kaitlin B: We spent a wonderful day here, so much to see inside the mansion and out! It's rare to see an estate where nearly all of the rooms and houses are open. And such a wonderful orchid collection!

Corinne Coutinho: A group of us visited this museum. We started out watching a 10 minute film and then proceeded to walk around the grounds. We saw an exhibit of the Roaring 20s (clothes, jewelry, pictures and furniture from that era). We then did a self guided tour of the main museum. It is filled with mementos from Ms. Post's trip to Russia, as well as gifts from India and other countries. There were beautiful Christmas trees in all the rooms. It's an interesting place to visit.

Obelisk: what do users think?

Michael O'Connor: We had an amazing feast for a birthday dinner. Intimate, romantic wonderful food and service. I'm so glad this gem made it through the pandemic!

Brian Oettinger: Great Italian food is supposed to be simple, straight forward. Obelisk puts the ingredients first and executes at perfectionist level in a cozy, comfortable, quaint atmosphere.

Chris Bird: Obelisk offers a memorable meal with attentive service. I’m not aware of a more intimate and personal dining experience in DC. Each course was straightforward in concept, and distinguished in preparation. The wine pairing was selected thoughtfully to accentuate each of the five courses, and it featured some uncommon and delicious Italian wines.

Dominic Carpin: I had a great experience here and shared the only window seat with someone. It was nice to be able to look down on P Street Northwest. The Negroni I ordered was the best I ever had. We shared a bottle of Pinot Bianco, my favorite white wine. The meal was incredible and quite filling. I was surprised. You might expect a place like this to have smaller portions. The Mixta course was a kind of scallop ceviche with dill and cilantro. Crostini with lardo and cherry tomatoes. Delicate Italian cauliflower in an anchovie olive oil sauce. The Secundi was watercress ravioli in a walnut butter sauce. I had quail wrapped in pasta, in brodo with spinach. The meat course was Dorade for me. My first experience with that fish. It was a little bit of a fishy fish if you know what I mean. My dining partner had wagyu sirloin tip. Then there was a cheese course with sour cherries, followed by dessert, a kind of rhubarb strawberry tart. Quite delicious, with homemade vanilla ice cream. I booked the place using a deposit of over $50. At the time I didn't realize that each dinner was going to cost $113. With the wine pairing, it would have been $186/person. With one bottle of wine, the cocktail, tax and gratuity, the bill was close to $400. That's a lot of simoleons for a person like me. The ambience was nice and quiet. Food quality was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant if you want to have a high level gourmet foodie type dining experience, and can afford it. I'd love to go back sometime.

M Reaves: (10 stars) Obelisk is an experience. It's quaint and personal. There are 3 at the back of the house (the chef, sous chef and a dishwasher) and 2 in front. The women in front are knowledgeable in every aspect and so friendly and willing to share. There is zero pretense here. It's about the food, the wine and the experience. The wine list is very approachable although we decided on pairings. The menu is ever changing to provide a new experience each time. We will make this a regular (out of the way) stop.

Millie Kwan: Most amazing food, wine and service! This restaurant is more of an experience rather than your regular restaurant. Rotating choice of items on the menu depending on what's available seasonally or what the chef has decided to present. Service is impeccable, bread is amazing especially the grissini. Presentation of the plates were spectacular and the wine list is very nice. The pasta course was delightful and just what pasta should be and the entrees are imaginative. Beautiful, cozy dining room. A must go of you can get reservations which are required.

Maya Bryant: I had an amazing experience from beginning to end. I got all courses along with the wine pairings, everything was good. It was a great opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and try new things as well.

Jay Steere: We've been going to Obelisk for over 10 years. It is our go-to special occasion restaurant. It's a small, relaxed restaurant where the menus are hand-made and they regularly just keep bringing you delicious food. I trust that everything I will eat there will be carefully prepared and delicious. As such, I can always feel confident trying new items. The bread and cheese are fantastic and come from a common serving table in the middle of the restaurant. It's not cheap, but you pay for consistency and quality. If we haven't seen friends for a while and they're only in town for a short time, we'll take them here. You can enjoy a 2-hour meal that never feels rushed and is full of new incredible dishes to talk about.

Trude Raizen: This is one of the best takeout experiences in DC - a 2020 staple for us. They constantly change the menu (non-veg and veg) and the trademark Obelisk mix of creative and classic compels us to try one or both almost every week. The food is always impeccable, whether it's the latest seasonal dish or a classic (like the bread and burrata - the only part of the menu that never changes, nor should it, because it is perfect and you can never have enough). Prices include service and it's a good value for the high quality ingredients. The "worst" dish we've had since they reopened has still been great-to-excellent; the best have been transcendental, even at home. We often split one menu, adding 1-2 a la carte items to round it out. This is the right amount of food to keep trying their new offerings each week and avoid overeating, but sometimes tests our love for each other as it's tempting to eat each entire delectable dish for yourself! (Tip: Eat the hot dishes first and save the cold ones for last, even if that means partially inverting the menu.) A la carte items also make a great lunch. The sandwiches are petite but so, so tasty (I hope they bring back the egg and homemade sausage soon!) and round out well with a soup or salad, and the lasagna is fantastic (tip: request to buy it cold if you want to heat it yourself the next day). Pre-COVID, this was also a lovely experience for in-person dining. It's a given that the food will be incredible. The service was also fantastic, the venue intimate, the meals leisurely-paced and delightful. We can't wait to go back in person when it's safe!
Response: Thank you Trude! We love seeing your orders come in. We certainly count on the support to that we may continue to cook for you. Great tip on the lasagna. We are happy to pack it up cold for a finish at home meal. Keep an eye out, the Mattina Piccante will make an appearance again from time to time. Thanks, Obelisk

David Krinsky: In non-pandemic times, this is a gem of a restaurant for a date night or another special occasion out—truly excellent, creative Italian food, rarely the same menu twice, served as a relaxed tasting menu. Nowadays, they're serving take-out. We are delighted to have been able to have their pescatarian Christmas Eve feast to celebrate the hoilday. Everything was perfectly packaged and lost little in translation to our dining room table at home, from the wine pairings that fit perfectly (but I'd never have considered—Barolo with swordfish) to the trademark array of antipasti to the panforte dessert. You should order take-out from here, both to support a neighborhood institution and just because it's delicious. We will be doing so again.

Belga Cafe: what do users think?

Renee Ethier: Had a great brunch here! Everything was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised how good the pulled pork was in the cornbread waffle entree. The restaurant itself is very cute and has indoor and outdoor seating. Service was great - the food came out very quickly. Would definitely go back.

Ray Moreno: I have eaten here more than two dozen times mostly though it’s become my weekend early breakfast routine. I’ve had 80% of the breakfast/brunch menu items & am never disappointed. The waffles are amazing ( what you’d expect from a Belgium restaurant), the mushroom toast is so well seasoned snd a delight. The green eggs a really nice twist & I could go on… I loved the poached eggs with salmon and if you’re looking for traditional American you can get it there too. I’ve also had the Flemish stew and mussels. The stew is extremely flavorful (a top notch culinary experience) and who can go wrong with a mussels in a white wine, garlic butter sauce with plenty of herbs to add the “wow” to the flavor. I am not a drinker but I did enjoy a really nice glass of Cabernet with the stew and it was an incredible match. They have a wide selection of wines. Overall if your looking for wonderful food experience, you’ll have it here. The service is also always great and Omar is my go to server. He adds a nice mix of professionalism/home style treatment. Amongst the best DC spots!

Leo Liu: Lovely restaurant, very cozy rooftop brunch destination. I was super impressed by the buttermilk fried chicken and waffle. It screams aesthetics. Four stars because the servers weren't super friendly. We made a reservation ahead of time for our one year anniversary brunch, but we had to be squeezed in and seated at the bar upon arrival. Overall amazing food, so I would still come back!

Alexander O'Neill: Eastern market is such a great place for food. Belga is one of neighborhoods more upscale haunts with a great selection of Flemish and French dishes. You can’t go wrong with the entrees though you may have more fun splitting a few of their many apps. The cocktails are also delicious!

Kel Millionie: What an incredible place to eat. Open concept kitchen with fantastic Belgian food, great service, fantastic cocktails, relaxing upscaled vibe, and and an exhaustive wine and spirits list is sure to please anyone. A wonderful spot for a date night but casual enough for dinner with friends for no special reason. Go for the steak tartare or escargot... Stay for any of the specials and you won't be disappointed. Check out the speakeasy on the roof you access through the alley, their cocktails are spot on.

Brigitta Danyi: The coddled egg in the bokaal! That was my order on the picture ! First time I had brunch in Belgian restaurant ! The place was full, then the owner come to welcomes us and try to find a table where we all can seat down. After a min. we was at the bar what we don’t mind. People very friendly there, I was surprised food arrived soon fresh hot and yummy . (We all order different brunch) Coffee latte was great then I saw the lady at the bar made the Bloody Mary so my friend order for us too! If you are in DC we definitely recommend this place ! See you, and thanks for the excellent service!

Mark Orebiyi: My girlfriend planned this extravagant day for her and I and it included Brunch at Belga Cafe (which is from 11am-3pm on the weekend). The restaurant fits a descent amount of people. Their drinks are awesome, I recommend the Bellini and B’Mimosa. Their service was great. I had the Lamb and Chorizo Burger and my girlfriend had the Fried Chicken and Waffles. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Mehmet Esen: Great atmosphere for brunch! The waffles were delicious. No wonder the place was packed. We will return when the weather is better to enjoy sitting outside.

Anna V (Chapacatt): To keep it short, the cafe is good but overpriced for what it is. It was nearly 18$ for an avocado toast and an over dressed “side salad”. While the staff and outdoor seating are nice, the price was just not worth it. For 18$ I would have expected even better service, higher quality ingredients, better coffee, and an atmosphere more conducive of a cafe (blasting the top 40 at a cafe just isn’t the vibe). The toast was very “instagramable”, but I would have preferred something with more flavor.

Dwayne Thomson: Streetside seating is charming, and the menu has many options. Not sure how much of it is authentic Belgian, but the venison tomahawks were fantastic. Would have enjoyed the drinks options to reflect the Belgian theme too, but the house cocktails, more Heartland-American than anything else (mulled wine, apple cider, bourbon), were quite decent.

The LINE DC: what do users think?

Corry: We stayed at The Line for three nights and I wish we could have stayed longer! Prior to our arrival the front desk staff were friendly and helpful on the phone with fantastic dinner suggestions and tips for getting around via public transit. We arrived early and were expecting to leave our bags at the front desk but the employee was very accommodating and checked us in. The room was lovely. Incredibly clean bathroom and bedroom, a beautiful view, comfortable bed, and very quiet. We enjoyed downtime either at the rooftop mini bar at night watching planes fly in to Reagan air port or during the day on the patio out front of the hotel. Truly a beautiful hotel and spectacular staff. 10/10 would recommend!!
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words as well as your rating! Please come back and see us again soon!

Marshall Daly: Superb location, and very cool building. Rooms are good — certainly better & more unique than a chain hotel, but nothing fancy. Service, however, was very disappointing for this price point. Called room service for an extra set of utensils... never delivered. Front desk called with a non-urgent questions at ~11pm on Friday night, then accidentally called my room at ~6am the following Saturday morning... ouch. Finally, tried to check out the hotel's rooftop bar and later, the "included" rental bikes... only to find out that roof was not open to guests and the bikes were not available. All told, great location and cool architecture, but for this price the service & amenities left a lot to be desired. Hopefully they can improve, it's great having a hotel option in such an excellent location!
Response: Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Sorry for your experience. I am having trouble finding your reservation. Please reach out to me here at the hotel so we can discuss this matter.

Mollie Young: Everything about our experience was incredible. The staff is warm and hospitable, the room was spacious and tasteful (with great city views), and the amenities cannot be beat! We were so excited to use the gym and couldn’t get over equipment options — there’s something for everyone! The hotel restaurant, No Goodbyes, is also a must. The service is excellent and the food is fantastic. Definitely have a cocktail at the bar before or after dinner and check out the coffee shop the next morning. Everything about our stay was wonderful, and we are already planning our return visit!
Response: Thank you so much for your review! I'm forwarding it to the team as we speak! Don't be a stranger!

Sara Urtz: Our stay was okay, not great. For the price, I was expecting great. There’s nothing really special about this hotel. There was no fridge to keep waters we brought in (besides the minibar which was full of drinks to buy) and the curtains are paper thin, letting in so much light it was hard to sleep. Great location and staff was friendly, but nothing special besides that.
Response: Hey Sara! I'm sorry you didn't have the experience you would've like or got to use the black out shades that are in every room. The chain to use them is low profile and on the sides of the windows behind the curtains. Come back and see us again and we will ben more than happy to have them drawn upon arrival! And feel free to move anything you'd like from the mini bar for your personal use. We have no problem with that. Have a great day.

Dj Theo: Fantastic hotel located in Adams Morgan. Valet parking. The staff was amazing and helpful the whole time. This building used to be church, now it's a fabulous concept hotel w a unique style. Check out the rooftop terrace! Great views of Washington DC! Food is locally sourced and was deliciously served every day. Thank you for a great experience @ The Line Hotel DC !
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words as well as your rating! Come back and see us again soon!

Anna Ponamarchuk: Hotel is amazingly beautiful! It looks like Spanish parlament house from outside and it looks like a design studio from incite! So beautiful! Sweet Rachel was there the the mornings both days I was staying. She rescued my life with all the printing for my embassy apartment. She was kind, bubbly, and so helpful! I have a hotel my self and would definitely love to work with her! Kenny helped me on the phone after I checked out. These guys are great! They complete my wonderful stay in The Line DC Definitely recommend and will come back!
Response: WOW! This truly mad my day! Rachel is the best partner a guy could hope for. Thank you so much for your kind words! Kenny

Kevin Shim: Staff is friendly. Location is good. Room was decent. The Line DC has everything that typically comes with a 5-star hotel. A restaurant, a gym, conference rooms, and valet parking. The hotel entrance is on the side of the building! Keep in mind that valet parking is going to be $59 per night, which may be worth it since it’s difficult to street park in DC. Due to zoning laws, you’ll only be able to street park for 2-3 hours at most unless you have a resident sticker. The area (it’s called Adams Morgan) has a variety of food options, and generally safe to go out at night. At the time of this writing (early 2022), there was a noticeable homeless presence on the streets of DC. Most are harmless and will leave you alone. The hotel room is decent. The sink water gets scaldingly hot, which you may or may not like. The shower head has strong pressure, so the water will give you a massage. Some of the furnishings in the room seem cheaply done. For example, the power cord for the free standing lamp is fixed onto the wall with some cheap plastic. Some of these fixtures were coming off the wall when I was there. Overall, decent 5-star hotel. Nothing extraordinary.
Response: Thank you for such a thorough and well thought out review of the hotel. I will forward it to the entire team so we can turn that 3 star into a 5 star next time! Have a great day!

Syed Ahmed Ullah: Amazing experience. The view from the roof top is just amazing. We had our company dinner hosted at the location and the service alongside the food quality was amazing. They also served halal food to cater our needs and there's was a non alcoholic cocktail bar as well. Wonderful experience!!
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words as well as your rating! Come back and see us again soon!

Greg: Great experience overall. Much like everything else in DC though, the location makes my head spin. Plus there's no on-site parking...but it's d.c. so, that's expected really. Great stay. The bed and pillows PLUS THE SOAP! The soap and shampoo was just crazy good.
Response: Thank you for your kind words as well as your rating. Let us know the next time you head this way and you can try the on-site valet parking!

photog1976: One of the worst restaurant experiences ever. Our waiter forgot dishes and then forgot again for another 25min once reminded and chose to blame the kitchen staff rather than seeking to resolve the situation and make a simple apology. He then slammed down the plates when serving, gave our family the stink eye and walked off without saying a word. We made sure to be polite and respectful the whole time, but this place is just full of staff who think they’re too good for their job. Food was nothing to write home about. Was much better with previous owners.
Response: I'm sorry for your experience at the restaurant, which is surprising considering how many great reviews they receive. Please reach out to us directly at the restaurant so we can discuss the matter in further detail. Thank you.

La Vie: what do users think?

Olivia M. Wilson: I know there’s mixed reviews about this place but I had a great experience. Our waiter took very good care of us and overall enhanced the dining experience. - The food was a 10/10 - The atmosphere and ambiance was amazing. - The view of the water gave it a very elegant vibe towards fine dining. Would definitely recommend for a date night or special occasion

Asim Soofi: Every single dish we ate was absolutely delicious. I would trust the executive chef at La Vie with any meal. There is something completely unique, yet so familiar with the variety of ingredients in each dish that transports you back to reminisce the first time you experienced it, wrapping you in a maternal blanket of bygone home cooked holiday meals. It has the luxury of comfort food with an eclectic mix transported from Mediterranean, Latin America, French, and Italian flair. Blends of sweet and spice came together in each rich bite. Vegetables and meats were perfectly prepared and plated. Fast on the day you go...you will enjoy every bite and leave happy.

Arvind Prabhu: Nice views, cool vibe, good drinks and decent sides. But you'll pay for it. The sangria was great and so were the brussel sprouts; charred and doused with a sweet and slightly sour honey based sauce sprinkled with pomegranate kernels. That dish is likely THE must have at La Vie. Unfortunately when we went it was over crowded and stuffy, seems like their AC was on the fritz

Leemu Kufuor: Cute and Instagramable! Make sure you dress up! I enjoyed the food and drinks at La Vie but the customer service left more to be desired. The staff at the front when overwhelmed are not friendly or welcoming and they seem to need more attendants to serve the volume of guests that arrive around dinner. I would go back though, the food is good and the drinks are strong.

yelena antonela: Beautiful place, stuff Is very friendly Igloos is very creative warm and cozy! Food was delicious 😋 I order La Vie Caesar salad , Atlantic salmon and cauliflower couscous, Brussels sprouts it’s was so delicious you can feel so much love that food have 👌🏼🙏🏻 Dessert is yummy my favorite was a custard light and crispy. whole experience was Amazing !!

Kev- keepingitreal: We love the hospitality at La Vie. Our hoist was very generous and attentive, our food was hot, tasty and flavorful. We ordered shrimp, Lamb Chops, Truffle Mac & Cheese, Roasted Chicken with Mashed Potatoes. Underground parking garage is available for a fee.

Tasha Fuller: Overrated. When you pay more you expect more. The ambiance was amazing but the food wasn’t on the same level. The lobster was overcooked and the Risotto lacked flavor, no matter how much salt and pepper I added. The best part of my meal was the French fries and Brussel Sprouts.

Amanda (WhatsDaHype): Beautiful restaurant! The view of the wharf is very pretty on a sunny day. Friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant is pricey but the food and drinks weren’t over the top amazing. I truly appreciated our waiter making sure we enjoyed our meals but the items we got were just good. The presentation of the drinks were nice. We didn’t like the salmon and the waiter exchanged that meal for the lobster ravioli. It was tasty. We also tried the roasted chicken. The combination of all the ingredients was flavorful and hearty. The fried cauliflower was lightly fried but lacked flavor.

Anakaren Cruz: The service is really great and the aesthetic is beyond expectations. The restaurant is on the higher end and pricier side. We spent around $450 for 3 people. I highly recommend the lamb chops and the cotton candy baked Alaska for dessert.

Boss Marius: Mixed feelings about this place, it’s good but I do not think the price is justified. The ambiance is lovely, it’s by the water and the brunch is good, but…You reserve your time slot in advance and still have to wait to be seated. The cost of the brunch if you decide to go for bottomless food and mimosas for two people comes up to $275.

Mastro's Steakhouse: what do users think?

John Darden: The steaks were cooked just right. Our waiter was polite and make our evening more enjoyable. The lobster mash potatoes had plenty of lobster meat; however, it was oily. If you like lemon drops then you should definitely try theirs because of the taste and presentation. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were huge. We had added crab meat to one of the steaks; however, we felt as though the restaurant could have included more meat relative to the cost of the dish but it was good. You can pay your bill using your phone. That was a nice touch (no need to wait for someone to come back to you) We plan on coming back.

Jaela Ford: This review is strictly for the waitress named Nicole. We would have given 5 stars if she did not taint our experience in the beginning. We were told by the hostess that she would be our “wonderful” waitress. She also came over to bring us menus and ask our water preference as if she was our waitress. However, for some odd reason the waiter was switched. When she was acting as our waitress, she was extremely short when answering our questions & seemed as though she did not want to be bothered. She also never introduced herself. We had to ask our new waiter for her name. There was absolutely nothing positive about her. It was as if she had pre judged us just because we were a table of young black women. Thankfully, our new waiter Phillip came over and saved the night. He was super welcoming and helpful. He answered all of our questions with a smile. His customer service was top tier! The drinks and food were also amazing! Thank you Phillip!

Junaid O: Definitely one of the best restaurants in DC. Went to Mastro's for my cousins birthday dinner, reserved the private room downstairs(check with the team for availability). We got there about an hour and a half before closing, yet they were very patient with us. The shrimp cocktail and Woodford Manhattan were excellent. Tried some of the other appetizers from the table and everything tested pretty well. For the main course I had the Rack of Lamb, didn't disappoint at all. Dessert was no different as well, the butter cake was the highlight for sure. Highly recommend!

Jennifer Driggers Driggers Group Real Estate: Our family ate here for New Year's Eve 2021 on our trip to D.C. We thoroughly enjoyed the food the atmosphere and the service. The Wagyu steak was definitely worth the money. The lobster mac n cheese and garlic mashed potatoes were great along with the Bacon and sau'teed shrimp appetizers. For desert definitely must try the warm butter cake. Wish we had a Mastro's closer to home. We will definitely go back!!

Mary McKay: We couldn’t have chosen a better establishment to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. From the food to the service, everything was exceptional. The service size of everything is huge! You could definitely share every course and spend half the money…or if your like us, we enjoy the left overs the best day 😍.

Michaela: Service is the strongest aspect of this fine dining experience. We reserved a private room for a birthday party, the ambiance was very nice, but the fees are a bit much. The birthday girl had a glorious seafood tower, that came out in a cloud of fog. Great insta moment!I ordered a medium porterhouse that was over cooked, I had to send it back but the waiter was great about getting me a new steak. I will say, I prefer Morton's porterhouse. The star dish was the warm butter cake at the end of the meal. Do stop by and get that at a minimum.

Ariel Aviles: Mastro's was a great surprise for our DC trip. Super fancy decor, low light and superb service. Appetizers where on point (shrimps, burrata), steak was perfect and the wine selection impressive! Highly recommended.
Response: Thank you for your review. We’re glad you had a good experience and hope to see you again soon!

D P: I had a blast at this place. DC establishment. It's hardly any parking but Madtro's does have valet service. In house music. The wait staff is like there and attentive. The food was good. Lobster Mac and cheese, swordfish, steak asparagus and shrimp scampi. All was so good. The drink list is extensive but good. The bourbon. Jet setter was a great choice. The dessert don't get me started on the seasonal butter cake 🍰. Bomb 💣💣. Go and enjoy this place it's definitely worth it. Dress nice. Don't go in there looking homely.

Mark Blanchard: Food was great, but service was a little slow. It took more than 20 minutes for out server to acknowledge us and get us a beverage. The table next to us was annoying. It was 4 people Facetiming someone the entire time we were there, and on speaker. I'm all about sharing memories with loved ones, but use earphones please! It's rude to other customers otherwise. The restaurant also made a mistake on our bill but later corrected it. Overall a good experience, but could be better given the price.
Response: Thank you for your review. We’re glad you had a good experience and hope to see you again soon!

Renee M: Sooo...the wagyu steak was delicious and the seared scallops were the BEST I have ever had! The sear on both dishes was perfect, the flavors were on point, and the meat melted in my mouth like butter! The drinks were CRAZY good, like strong, but made with appreciation for the full flavor profile vs just the liquor. Our server, Rice, aka the Tony Baker look a like was on it. He was very attentive and gave us great suggestions. We have 4 sides, 2 were bomb and 2 were not. The roasted brussels a sprouts and the cream spinach were tasty. The cream corn was gross and the lobster mac was under whelming. For $40 a side I would like more flavor. The atmosphere was cool. The live singer was entertaining and awkward. I would go back just to chill at the bar.
Response: Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. It means so much when our customers share their experiences. We are glad we were able to meet your expectations! We hope to see you again soon!
