Martha Ayala: I went into this Popeyes and ordered a large rice and beans and a spicy chicken sandwich. When I got into my car to start eating my food and I ate my sandwich perfectly fine. It was very delicious. I went in for my rice and beans and got to mixing as one does since the rice is in the top and beans are at the bottom. I took ONE bite and automatically noticed something was wrong. It was VERY SOUR! I always get the rice and beans and it was never s problem. But I did notice something odd while purchasing my order. THEY ALREADY HAVE THE RICE AND BEANS PRE MADE. Meaning who knows how long they have been sitting up in the counter!! I am disappointed because this was supposed to be my lunch for today and now I am at work hungry and not able to eat a snack during my lunch. I am also pregnant so this just tops everything.

Steve Henderson: Yoo these food ninjas got my combo meal order already done as I just finished paying, and with a damn smile and giggle too. Love them, especially these crazy knew touch screen soda fountains i'm starting to see around places.

The spicy and regular versions are both awesome and live up to the hype. Simple-but-quality ingredients outpace Chick-fil-A and others by miles. Options include a combo with fries and drinks. This location is on the popular 14th street and would be a good stop before a night out.

david ostrander: Awful awful awful. Upcharged on order not requested... Don't go here unless totally drunk. Beware on miscommunication. Just my experience. The location was not busy so a red flag.

However, they didn't have any spicy chicken and many other items one day. No joke. I have the photo below because I could not believe it. If you are able to spare some change to the people outdoors, please do. They are harmless. I work around the corner so this is nothing new. Oh and it helps if you know some Spanish because some of the cashiers honestly do not understand English. 😳👀 My Spanish isn't that great but I can get by. 🙄

Hida: Terrible experience will never go to this location! On 9/28/17. I was in line waiting to be served. When the Spanish lady took the lady behind me 1st? I said I was next she ignored me TWICE. The gentleman behind me said she's always rude. Well she got the right one today. I asked her name she had the audacity to reply WHY?? B/C you skipped right over me to help someone else. She must have known the lady B/C she was chatting with her after taking her order instead of helping the next patron! When they had different races working together the service was Great Now it's nothing but Spanish workers. I've notice the customer service is going down! Now they don't wear name tags any longer that's why their sooooo bold at being disrespectful speaking in Spanish as if WERE not clever enough to notice!! terrible rude service is what I encountered!. I have never received that type of service from all of them let's be clear. Just a few. Lisa and the other Spanish lady made it worth the while. By trying to correct the RUDE behavior of their co-worker. Who refused to give me her name. She got the right one I took a Pic. of her Rude Butt!! She needs to be spoken to ASAP. I will never eat there again and will tell my co-workers not to as well also what I experienced.

Jarvis Waller: This is ridiculous service. I'm so upset I wasted money on something I wouldn't feed to a pig 🐽. Food was extremely old and cold. I decided to give this place another try!!! Thinking just perhaps the food would be better than last time. I would never try this place again unless I'm trying to die a painful slow death.

Leanne Tobias: This pertains to delivery from the Tenley DC store. The fried chicken, mashed potatoes and biscuits are excellent. Don’t overdo (the nutritional breakdown is as bad as you might imagine), but just the thing for an occasional indulgence. The chicken is crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The mashed potatoes are creamy; their Cajun gravy adds a nice hit of spice. The biscuits are tasty. Five stars for these items. One star off for the sugar-laden coleslaw— so sweet as to be virtually inedible. Unfortunately, the cole slaw is the only non-starch side on the menu. Even so, ditch the coleslaw.

Duncan Bishop: Very solid popeyes that I’ve been too way too many times. Sometimes the staff seems a little inefficient with how they handle folks in line versus mobile order, but it’s fine. Good chicken and usually plenty of seats.

Susan Dixon: They only provided 2 of the 3 sides. I asked for equal amounts of white and dark meat for an order of 8 pieces. Received 7 pieces of dark and 1 piece of white. Mostly breading and very little chicken. It’s inexpensive but still a one star. Best part of the meal was the breading on the chicken.

j a: been here dozens of times. very rarely does the chicken seem "not that fresh".usual order is two orders of the 10piece special (10 pieces bone-in for 14$). ask for no wings. ask for some blackened ranch when they hand you your order.

Paulette Paglia: My husband really likes Popeye's chicken and their rice with red beans. It was my first time. I did not care for the fried chicken (pieces on the bone). Neither of us cared for the shrimp. The shrimp are quite small with very little flavor - not spicy at all. We did not like the cole slaw very much either. The fries were very good and I agree with my husband about the rice and beans - it's excellent. The employees were pleasant and our $40 order was correct. This location's Google page says they offer curb-side pick up (they do not). There is no parking lot or drive-thru at this location. Very little street parking. I parked in the 7-11 parking lot because there was not any other parking available on Wisconsin or side streets.

Jamil Johnson: In the area from out of town. Likely they would remember be as I was there every day over the weekend. The service was great but the food was truly outstanding. Chicken was fresh and hot. I ordered bone in meat and chicken tenders, and Popeyes can often not be good on both but this place, exceptional! Fries were delicious. Sides could have been hotter though, mashed potatoes and red beans and rice were almost cold but that was minor. Well done!

7Day Services: Never got a chance to order. I stood in line for forever and when I got to the register they argued with me over a legitimate coupon I had for the survey I took; and at the end of it she refused to honor my legitimate coupon. The manager's name is Sammi. How can you be the manager and don't understand a coupon? I'm going to send an email to the main office to one of my friends that work for Popeyes in the main office. I'm tired of arguing with people over these survey vouchers. They clearly don't understand how they work and they will argue with you and make a big deal about a 2 piece chicken dinner 😂😂😂 like it's coming out of their little check. SMH

O'Donna “Boochie Daniels” Daniels: Just a typical Popeyes experience. I didn't have much money but the girl at the register got my order wrong. She just kept giving me incomplete orders and charged me. I had to go to the register for food I thought I asked for when I ordered. She just never rang them up. It was getting a bit irritating as the customer because she was giving me bad attitude when I asked her for dipping sauce after she got my order wrong the first time!! This is my neighborhood Popeyes and I would rather go out of the way!

AD: Nothing much to say other than they always seem to be on rush although they hardly have long waiting line of people. The store could be cleaner though. Update: The customer service seems to get worse her everytime I visit, due to some reason. The people taking our orders don't seem to be trained enough.

Sharai Baltimore: This Popeye's was ok. It always smell funny in there's and it may be a wait time for your food, but I've never had bad quality food there. They do sometimes mix up your order too which is a bit frustrating

After she sat down to talk with friends I asked who is going to wait on me. She pointed to the crew behind the counter who also had not acknowledged me. Kev- keepingitreal: Love that chicken from Popeyes. Limited parking spaces available. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Audrey Lester: Blind customer: the entrance is easily located off side street. Once inside the counter is directly ahead of you. While I frequent this establishment, it was my first visit in person. It is my experience, attending cashier would benefit from more training while engaging with blind customers. It was unclear when she was ready to take my order as she had not said anything to acknowledge me. Once my food was provided, it was sat on the counter rather than placed in or near my hand. I will visit this establishment again. I know with each experience staff gets an opportunity to engage with a person with a disability.

M. Smith: Did they get a new manager or something? This was the first time in a long time that I visited and the food was actually good... three stars are only because I don't know if that was a one time thing or they've actually improved.

Michelle Woodward: The lady who took my order was very nice. The lady who gave me my order was rude when I asked for a cup of water. Thank you anyway. I'm giving 5 stars although she was rude my food was hot and packed nicely. Maybe she needs a vacation.

She read our oder back to us before we pulled forward and the said the total was going to be 42 hundred dollars and change. Everybody in the car was laughing when I said, "Did she just say 42 hundred dollars!?! 😳" We get to the window and she again said 42 hundred and I was scared cause there isn't 42 hundred on the card LOL, but she was just messing around and we all knew it. The kids were laughing again, and it was so much fun. Our drinks were great, our order was perfect. The staff is friendly, professional, and knows how to make things fun. We'll be back.

Comstance Jemkins: I had an Awful experience on Saturday the POPEYES Chicken Sandwich was TRASH and they didn't put my Biscuit in the bag soooo I did the survey on the back of my receipt and I got a call on Monday from the Manager Mr Habib I was sooo surprised and I was told to come to the store on Tuesday to see what he could do. He not Only prepared my Order Himself he made sure by dropping Fresh Chicken Breasts in the fryer and he asked White or Dark meat for my 2 piece and a Biscuit that I got for doing the Survey with the purchase of a Large Drink and he replaced the Missing Biscuit that I paid for but didn't receive, when my Son and I got home we were Very Pleased they got it Right.. Phenomenal Customer Service Habib my Spicy Chicken Sandwich was EVERYTHING.!!!

Jasmin Hollywood: The service was great the employees were very kind and hard-working. The food was awesome I dined in real quick and had their two-piece dark meat fried chicken and biscuit with coleslaw and a large Coke. Everything was great.

Rick Horsford: Horrible. I went to this Popeyes today(4/12/22) and was really disappointed. I LOVE Popeyes but this location was DIRTY! Why is a restaurant DIRTY period, let alone during a pandemic. No one was spraying and wiping down table & chairs, checking trash, moping water up off the floor. I ordered Blackened Chicken Strips(that were note fully cooked), Red Rice & Beans(very watery) but the biscuit and Strawberry soda was good. The woman behind the counter gave me two Barbecue sauces, I didn't ask for that, I wanted Blackened Sauce but she never asked. I will stay with the Popeyes on 14th St NW.

DConHeels Editor: This Popeyes's is ghetto. When i went in, a group of teens waa drinking directly out of the soda machine with no cups Then a woman came in with her own bottle & filled it with iced tea. The employees did nothing to stop them. Plus ot is a very run down store. They need to hire security.

Erick Zacarias: Giving this Popeyes a 1 star for the reason that they closed before the time they have online. They should update their hours because people like my family and I counted on buying something for late dinner. we drove 25 minutes to get to Popeyes and it was 10:20 pm when we arrived. And we found Popeyes closed. We feel sad and disappointed. I hope that they can fix their schedule so that people don't arrive and find a surprise like us.

Matthew Lawlis: NOTE: Its easy to get frustrated here. Its not the staffs fault that this Popeyes has issues. Normally there are only two people working the front. Perhaps management could organize it better but, clearly they need more people. The wait time can be up to 30 to 40 minutes in the restaurant, caused often by the amount of customers and the type of customers. Often people come in and really dont know how to order. Its a weird thing to watch.

Corey Saunders: Not sure why this Popeyes will only allow 1 sauce. I tried the new fish sandwich and could get only 1 sauce. They are always out of the mustard.

lola logan: The next time I purchase food from any establishment, keep that nasty long hair on your head and out of my red beans and rice. Hair on food is so disgusting it was almost my first spork full. Do better for your patrons!

When I got home we noticed they did not include the Mashed Potatoes and Gravy I purchased for my mother. So we had to fix something else for her to eat.

Khoi Nguyen: I used to work around here so you know the crowd can be a lil sus throughout the day. Parking can be tight w the metro garage and street parking available. I placed an order recently for pick up and the food came out perfectly. Staff was friendly and the location was really clean. No seating inside and there is a thick fiber glass was between customers and the employees.

V'Asia Plater: The work ethic regarding the food has been extremely unacceptable. I requested for my food to be done one way and my request was completely ignored. Popeyes used to be my favorite go to , yet not anymore. From many experiences the food has been sloppily made. Also there have been personal items from staff left in my order, such as hair and nose rings. Lastly the drinks taste strictly like water. Popeyes we have to do better. The work /service ethic has reached below the bar !

Lady J: I have gotten many Uber deliveries from this location but today was the worst! Why were my fries delivered in a bag instead of put in a fry bag and then put in the bag? And this fish sandwich has little to no sauce on it. In shock😔 very disappointing ‼️

Harold Mitchell: Be careful going to Popeyes because the store that was on 8th st se was permanently closed because of Rat's roaming the store overnight! Since then Popeyes had received a bad reputation, who knows you could be eating a fried Rat.

Moe Fawkah: The solicitation needs to stop. I'm out at the Library for study sessions and set up shop at the Popeyes after close-hours. Every time, always folks in there "panhandling"and whatnot. Otherwise it's been clean, spacious, tons of outlets and bathrooms are decent. The soliciting is not a good look though. Please do something.

Alicia gaither: I will never ever eat at this location ever again. Cashiers are rude , and manager is unprofessional. Brought 50 pieces of chicken & they was upset when I asked for extra sauce. They gave me about four sauces and I brought two family meals and explained it was for a party. They were rude , threw one extra sauce in the bag and called that extra. This is not the first issue I had eating at this location.

Pretrece Smith: I am very disappointed with my meal today. It was simply awful. This location were one of my favorites. I would drive across town just to get fresh chicken. I'm not sure if this location is under new management but I have had 2 bad experiences lately. The chicken is dark and taste like the oil has not been changed. Nothing like the advertisements. The apple pie was dark I just could not eat it. I added pictures. Disgusting! Please evaluate your practices and do better soon. Very dissatisfied customer.

MsqueenPatti Mckinney: I Love me some Popeyes Fried Chicken 🐔 🍗 SoOOo I stopped by this location on my way home" the cashier seems like she was unbother she took my order in the middle of answering her cellphone 📱 text, she wasn't professional @ all. Her customer service was terrible. My food as you can see it looks like it was thrown in the box 🎁. So I gave them a 3STAR because the food is always Delicious inspite of the BAD 😞 customer service.

Derrick Portillo: I really liked this location before but their service legit deserves one star. It is downright awful. I remember employees were actually nice and cool, but now I legit see the manager and employees get angry and yell at customers left and right. Plus they seem to decrease meal sizes compared to other Popeyes and still charge more than others too, so keep that in mind. The food was still cooked well and good for the most part so I'll give it that, but otherwise avoiding this mess ✌️

P. O.: I love Popeyes but this location is one of the worst. They never have appropriate inventory and have a difficult time keeping the chicken cooked and ready for customers. Last time I went, which was a couple months back, I came around 7pm. I was the 5th or 6th car in line and it took 35 minutes to get to the window. I get to the window and they tell me they only have a few pieces of spicy chicken left. I ask them what they have. They say they only have 3 spicy thighs, 2 legs and 1 wing left. I ask them to give me the rest of their thighs and 2 legs. They tell me it will be an extra fee because I'm asking for all of 1 type. That makes no sense because I didn't have much of an option. I ask to speak to their manager. The manager reiterates what the first person said. I say ok just give me the 3 thighs, 1 leg and the last wing. The manager again tells me it will be an upcharge because I'm asking for the 3 thighs. We argue back and forth. I ask her how long it will take to cook more chicken so that I don't get upcharged. She says 20 minutes. So I get punished and charged more because they don't have enough chicken to choose from. On top of that they are almost always out of hot sauce. A complete joke. Now when I'm in the area I just go next door to Roaming Rooster. Their chicken and consistent quality is way better anyway.

Ghee Wiz: Terrible, slow, inconsiderate service The person that was supposed to be helping me was aelicia She did a horrible job and made patrons wait for a total of 30+ minutes while orders was ready because she stated "ain't nobody going to rush her today" which the two people in there was not doing. She showed a careless act of service toward patrons inside. On the other hand there was a worker that was busy cleaning named Steven that did help speed up the process.

Palash Arora: Terrible pickup experience today. Even if you order online, you have to wait in drive through line. At the end, they did not have sandwiches, did not communicate in advance, did not offer replacement, were unapologetic and asked me to figure out refund.

renee regan: This location always is missing something but at least it does have a drive thru. Get the red beans and rice or Mac and cheese. I tried the crispy nuggets recently with the mardis Gras mustard and was extra crunchy and flavorful.

Shannon Jones (FSU4LIFE2012): Had a welcome reward with a free side. Noticed it wasn’t in the bag and was going back and forth about it. Explained that I got the dinner, a reward for a free mashed potatoes and purchased a second. Which should be three. Even did the math to further explain. It shouldn’t be this complicated.

Shirletta Greene: This was the worst 10 dollars I’ve ever spent at Popeyes. The Cajun rice is back, what a joke. It was dry with no taste/seasoning. I ask for a sweet tea. Instead I got unsweetened. The skin on the chicken breast was soggy!!!!!! If Time was on my side I would have taken it back.

Suman Barua: Name Shakeel( I don’t know what kind of manager) very bad behavior. Very rude. Unprofessional. I had a complaint about my food. Old dry chicken. I showed him old bad chicken fried picture. He said how can I believe you. Where is the food. Return the food. I asked his manager. He said I am manager. He start his rudeness and finally he trashed my receipt. I have picture, he trash my receipt. After that I left the store and called customer service. They said we will take action against him and he will call( for apology) you for his behavior. I took action against him or not. But he didn’t call me for apology. Here is my picture of old chicken He should punish for his behavior with customer. He is smashing my receipt…like a ball

Zack Sun: Giving this popeyes 1 star because I can't rate it any lower. First, the representative/ cashier that took my order refused to accept a valid coupon on the popeyes app which clearly stated 25 dollars. Instead, she rudely stated that she could only apply the code for 30 and refused to honor the coupon. Because the line was long, I kindly accepted and paid the full amount. Second, after fulfilling the order I realized that the representative gave us 3 trays for a 14 piece order so I asked for more trays. She rudely lashed out at "you need to hold on" and eventually returned with a SINGLE tray. It was clearly done out of spite because she was inconvenienced with my previous request. Overall experience for customer service was a highly unprofessional, unaccomodating, and spiteful. Popeyes should honor their coupons on their app and not falsely advertise their prices.

Orlando Cardona: Small and sometimes dirty. Spanish speakers so speak slowly so they dont mess your order. Friendly staff. Slippery when is wet in table area. Took time for them to process the order. Chicken is good.

David: Normally pretty quick and decent. Idk if it’s just this location but they often put too much sauce for the spicy sandwich.

Syrinaxis: This location brings back so many memories from my childhood, I love this place and will come back time to time when I am craving a chicken sandwich, God bless the owner for keeping this store open for so long, I started going here in 2010, that is 10 whole years of being open! Tasty food, crispy chicken, crispy fries, great service, although it could be cleaned a little more.

Aryn LS: This location is unsanitary and should be shut down. After waiting 30 minutes for my food to be cold, I was able to snap pictures of how disgusting everything looked. The staff here are disrespectful and there are a lot of things that can get cross contaminated. I recommend anyone looking for fresh food to look for a different location in the area.

Saad Choudhry: Extremely slow service. Food is always cold and the inside is always very dirty. I ordered a 4 pice combo from the drive thru and they gave me four legs and two thighs. They were cold, dry and hard to chew. Fries were also gross.

S.M. Barnes: An ok place for a quick meal and it's usually a rare treat for me when I decide to indulge 😋. Access to the restaurant is not easy and it sits on a very busy thoroughfare 🛣 so entering and exiting the parking lot can be a bit nerve-wracking 😬. I was disappointed at my meal during my last visit 😡 b/c the cashier gave me 3 of the smallest and most scrawny chicken tenders I've ever seen 👀 at Popeye's. Unfortunately I was halfway down the road when I realized it. All-in-all, I've been pretty satisfied with any of my visits 🙂

Emilie K: I understand fast food places tend to be understaffed and very busy. But this place was out of many items on the menu and my order was missing my sauce. Napkins are kept behind the counter. I did come during busy dinner time, but it was a long wait for everything, which is more disappointing when they are out of the multiple items on their menu.

Called and had to call over five times to finally speak to someone and was told to bring my receipt back in order to redeem the lemonade that I purchased but realize that they didn’t even give me a receipt. Michael Valdivielso: I decided I wanted chicken. But I had ordered so much from KFC lately I decided I needed a change. And I have heard good things about Popeyes from friends before. So, I decided, why not order from them? So I went online and found out I could order from many delivery services. One was Doordash and one was Grubhub. As I trust Grubhub a little more I ordered from them. But I noticed that Doordash's delivery fee was smaller and while they still added to the menu prices, like 30 or 40 cents per items, it wasn't that pricey. As I wasn't ordering a lot, in hindsight, ordering from Doordash MIGHT have been a better idea. But let's move on with the review on POPEYES ordered via Grubhub. I ordered a 3 piece Chicken Dinner (Spicy) with Red Beans and Rice, a Biscuit, and a large Diet Coke. It got to me on time, after they did the change-the-ETA thing, and the driver was not only very polite but warned me about the lid on the drink. It was cracked in two places and he suggested that Popeyes was using cheap plastic in their lids. I thanked him for the warning. The Diet Coke was cold, the somewhat small Biscuit was salty as heck, the Chicken Dinner (a leg, a thigh, and a wing) was meant to be spicy but I only detected spice on the thigh. It was the GOOD level of spice - just adding enough heat without covering the taste - but it was only added to one piece. And the Red Bean and Rice seemed to be mostly red sauce with some rice and, to be honest, invisible beans. Because I don't think I found any. Or I failed to taste them. I even took a photo and can't tell if it had beans or not. It felt like I was eating watered down soup. Over all, for what I got, for how disappointing it was, and for what it cost I should have gone with KFC and ended up with a much better meal. Update - Ordered via Grubhub because there was a deal. Why else would I order from them? And they got the order right. Kind of? The Spicy Chicken Sandwich was good. The Cajun Fries and Coleslaw was good. The Chicken Tenders were...sad and the Biscuit was salty. But the Diet Coke was cold and at least they know what Sweet Tea is. Unlike McD's which seems to think sweet tea is weak soda. But Popeyes forgot all the sauces I asked for. So maybe add a star to make the total three? Still not impressed and wonder how this location is still in business. Update - 9/30/2021 - Why do I keep ordering from this place. Long story short - ordered directly from Popeyes, thought it would be cheaper. And for the amount of food I ordered it did look cheaper. Spoiler - their own drivers are Doordash. Both the tracker and the text messages were wrong about the ETA - driver got here late. But said the location was busy. And I believe her. That's why the chicken sandwich was spicy - I didn't order spicy, the sweet tea was unsweetened, the fries were cold, and in the biscuits was one biscuit. So not only did it cost too much, as items were missing or wrong, but it took longer than Grubhub.

Randy Rethman: Waited 30 min for tenders that the staff left on counter for 15 plus min. Manager sees everything then just handed me the old cold food that was handled by numerous staff. Didn't even ask if I wanted new order not that a had another 20 min to wait

Chanpen Tee: The service is better this time. The chicken is always good. The fried chicken is always good but the customer service is getting bad. I went inside the store. There was no customer in the store. One lady told me to wait for a bit and i waited for 3 minutes and she disappeared. I seemed like everyone ignored me the whole time. Until i asked how long do i have to want for. Another lady came to help me with my order but she forgot to give me my 2 sprit and 1 coleslaw. (I realized that when i was in my car)

Sasquatch N: Good food, good service. I'd have given five starts except for the nearly 10 minute wait for blackened tenders which had been ordered through the app nearly fifteen minutes earlier! If I'd been a drive up customer asking at the last minute, I might have understood, but I ordered in advance!

Lettice Sazon: I just ordered three meals. To make a long story short, I get home only to discover one of the shrimp tackle boxes looked like the shrimp got tackled. I only had four whole shrimp, and the rest was some mess. I tried calling the store back because I’m gonna get compensated. I’m too tired and famished to drive back tonight for four shrimp but I’m am beyond p’d off. No one is answering the 📞. Whoever fixed this knew this wasn’t up to par and you gave this to me, oh no!!!

Brian Beal: one staff person was super rude and turned their back at me and wouldn't acknowledge when I walked up to the locked door and didn't notice the small, tacky, hand written sign saying that the lobby was closed (apparently I came during drive-thru only hours) but the food was hot and everyone else was nice

Benjamin Smith: Worst Popeyes experience ever by far. Ordered two bone-in chicken combos and got a bunch of chicken tenders and a sandwich. And this was after we told them once they had the wrong order. Drive to the one on Bladensburg Rd., they will give you what you actually order.

Edward Pfister: The fish sandwich was warm, crispy and very good. However, I asked the server what kind of fish it was and he told me 'filet' 😀. Not sure but I believe it was flounder which I didn't know makes such a nice sandwich.

Venus: I don't know how they pull it off with a drive thru line around the parking lot, but the chicken tenders, fries, corn, & chicken sandwich is consistently hot. The cashier's attitudes can see some improvements. But hey, as long as my food is good I won't complain too much. Can't have it all🤷🏽‍♀️

Pamela Morgan: Well, the food was good; however, my aunt noticed next to no beans in her red beans and rice order and as I ate halfway through my spicy chicken sandwich... pulling it out of the sleeve, I noticed mold on the lower edge of bun. I took it to the counter to inform cashier/manager and was asked what did I want...another sandwich or what? I told them "no" it was brought to their attention clearly for informational purposes only. They commented "noted" and I returned to my meal. The cashier had been very accommodating with my order earlier, so there was no need to fuss over a smaller portion of bread!

Jenny McDaniel Barr: My name is Miss Barr I went through the drive-through because I'm handicapped I ordered 2 chicken sandwich with extra Mayo no Pickles.One for me one for my Husband they put that hot and spicy Sauce On it.OMG It also had pickles where we had to throw away because we could not eat them. So I figured I should give Them another try. We just Open them up and the same thing they loaded it with that hot sauce No Mayo They don't give you what you order. if you try to call they don't answer the phone. The young lady could not understand English so she had me pull to the window. Then she repeated my order back to me.Best she could.. Don't know if it's the people packing the order. Or where the breakdown is. Very sad to have to throw food away because you cannot eat it. Not to mention the money wasted. So I suggest check your order you will have to open the sandwich to make sure you get what you paid for. Other than that you are Out of luck no accountability !!!!! I understand mistakes but when it keeps happening there's a problem. This is the 1st bad review I have ever done I feel like this one is well deserved.👎👎🏿

Colman Rowan: This is probably the best Popeyes there is. They always give you extra food, they move fast, they're nice, and it is almost never crowded. The only negative experience I've had here was one time the woman at the drive through was very mean to me and then wouldn't give me an extra sauce. Which if there is a rule about sauce I've never seen any Popeyes ever practice it.

Betsy W: I received a promo via email and the manager was gracious to honor it even though they could not find it in their system. Me and my husband dinner in and enjoyed every bit of it. It was a very busy spot but they kept saying t clean and sanitized regardless especially the dining area.

Tony Rivenbark: I've been to this location 4-5 times now and have had consistently great service and food. The staff seem a bit more personable than at the two locations closer to home which I'd become accustomed to. Tonight I was helped by one of the managers "Efron". I'd placed a large order through the app right at closing which the app probably shouldn't have allowed to go through, including for some items they no longer carried. The manager was very apologetic and explained the problem and offered me various alternatives including him staying later. I felt like I was at a "Mom n Pop" restaurant talking directly with the caring owner. don't know if this is a corporate Popeyes or a Franchise, and not certain I have his name correct....but I'll definitely be back. Hopefully the owner of this franchise or the corporate powers that be, realize they have a great asset with this manager.

Kaleb B: This Popeyes is simply great. The food was hot and fresh, the breading was nice and crispy, and the fries were good too. The customer service is what you expect from Popeyes, so take that as you will. I have 0 complaints! The service wasn't unbearably slow, I'd say around 2-5 minutes for a decent sized order, and the prices are fine as well. Go here for a nice quick bite and a generous portion of food!

Aseem Balhara: Was sad the butterfly shrimp is no longer on menu. The popcorn shrimp is WAY too much breading. Fries need to be more crispy. The spicy chicken sandwich and bone in are probably the best fast food chicken around. Their sauces have a little more flavor then most fast food sauces. Try some...they have tons. Update: They were unable to locate my online order on a repeat visit but once they realized the error they filled my order quick.

DAVID GILL: The place has gotten much better at customer service. Before it took a long time in line to order and receive food.

Mark Parker: Good chicken bad management. They are often understaffed to where there is usually 1 cashier to take inside orders and the manager is making orders for the drive-thru. The same front cashier is also the one making your orders so the line is usually to the door around dinner time. There is no separate line for pickup orders. You are better off ordering when you get there so you know your food is hot.

Jesse Senior: I went to this Popeyes in Eastover shopping center to get their special which was 10 pieces of chicken 2 large sides and 5 biscuit for $25.00 . When I got home I found 3 pieces of the 10 were half of breasts.. yes that’s right they cut breast in halves and called that 2 piece. What was very upset with this . For one it was not a mistake . And Two they thought I would be so dumb I could see it . But the worst is I called customer service. They told me the store was going to contact me but they never did . So I called customer service again and they tried to tell me they called . But why customer service couldn’t just refunded me instead of having me go to an uncomfortable situation with this establishment. It’s was evident they did not care.

Datrice Afriye-Opoku: DO NOT GO TO THIS Popeyes!!!!!! This is the most nastiest and dirtiest location I have ever gone to. On top of the fact the customer service is horrible!!! I went here the other day and ordered a 12pc of chicken nuggets with Hottie Sauce. When I got home and stared to eat, I discovered a roach in my nuggets!!! I was TOTALLY disgusted!! I called and spoke with the manager to explain what happened and he had the nerve to accuse me of lying and then said even if I show him the bug in my food, he was not going to give me a refund. However, he had the nerve to offer me more food. WHY would I want anything from a restaurant where a bug was just found in my food!! Just nasty. Highly do not recommend.

I’m not a huge fan of spicy/greasy/fried food and I had a bad experience with Popeyes before but I gave them a second chance and it was great, good fried chicken, cheap and it was not that greasy tho. Cajun rice and Cajun fries are yummy. I recommend this location.

Lady M N: I ordered the 8 piece family meal with mac and cheese. There was an upcharge of $1 for the mac and cheese in addition to 2 state taxes on an already expensive order. A total of $27.49. I receive my order with at least 15 packets of ketchup which I did not want, so I proceed to remove them from my bag and the ask employee near by if I can have the blackened ranch sauce. She at first pretends not to understand english (I later learn she is the manager) and calls another woman over and I ask for sauce again. They inform me that sauce will be an additional 55 cents. I am shocked! I was informed the place was under new management and this is the way things were now. I let them know it didn't make sense as I just spent almost $30 on chicken and could not even be given 1 sauce but was given all said packets of ketchup!!? I asked for the owner and the manager said he/she was not there and she could not provide me with a business card to contact them. SO I asked for a refund. She gladly obliged. Then proceeded to throw away all the chicken and biscuits BUT kept the mac and cheese on the side. How unsanitary and in the same breath wasteful. A business will forgo $30 for a .55 sauce pack.

Golam Mortuza Sourov: Well since no one's talking about it let me address the elephant in the room, this Popeyes is notorious for customer service and on top of that they get haunted by couple guys (could be home less idgaf) .One of those guys asks for Money from customers and the other one bad mouths at the staffs and if you stand up for the staffs he's gonna come after you too, I wonder why they're not taking action against them. I literally stopped visiting this place for these annoying people.

To start they have no customer service and will leave you waiting in line for 20 minutes at lunch time when most customers are on their lunch brakes. Even after your purchase food from them they will charge you 50 cents for each suace and to top it off my total for a small side of fries and a side of mash potatoes was almost $9... the long and the short is stay away and bring your money elsewhere!

Teresa Whelan: I ordered beignets online, they took my money, and after I got home, found out they weren’t included. After driving back was told they didn’t have them, didn’t plan to serve them and were only going to refund what they cost, but without the sales tax. The Manager was condescending and had a non- existent customer service attitude. And yes, the beignets were listed both online and in the store on the marquee. I’d give a -1 rating if I could! I also relayed this to their corporate office.

Hayat: Ordered 20 pcs halal mixed chicken but they only gave me 19 pcs when I counted (they charged me for 20 pcs). The food was fresh and delicious. They had my order ready in about 20 mins even when they seemed very busy. I can’t give them 5 stars due to shorting me a piece of chicken. Btw you have to ask for halal chicken as the full menu isn’t halal. Update: 06/2022 they didn’t have halal chicken when I asked. No more halal food option possibly

Zay McCullough, MSW, LCSW-A: While at the mall doing some shopping, I got hungry! There was many options to chose from in the food court on the main floor. I ultimately chose here. The cashier was named Jorge. I got the popcorn shrimp and 2 tenders combo. With the tenders, you normally get a choice of spicy or mild regularly but they were out of spicy, which didn’t bother me because I didn’t want spicy anyway. The combo comes with side and drink. I got fries and a strawberry lemonade. The lemonade can be frozen or chilled (iced). I ordered frozen but ended up getting chilled… This wasn’t a big deal to be honest. Jorge couldn’t misheard me as I initially asked for the difference between the two. I also asked for BBQ to go with my food. After paying, Jorge told me it would be 3 minutes, which was no issue. He fixed my drink.l and gave it to me. It took maybe 2 minutes before my food was ready. After sitting and started eating, I realized they forgot bbq sauce so I went back and they gave me 1, which wasn’t enough for all the food. I eat BBQ with everything lol. My food was at a good temperature and the biscuit wasn’t burned. No major complaints overall.

luvely me: I hate it here! I have been here twice and both times the service was terrible! I order a 3 piece 2 legs 1 wing, I pay with cash, I'm patient so I wait.. 20 minutes later the man behind the counter gives me a bag and it has a breast and a wing. Good thing I didn't move from the counter, I inform the man what I ordered, and the man hands me 2 bucks and tells me to leave. I ask if I'll get my order or a full refund he got angry and yelled FINE! I kindly put the food on the counter and walked away... never went back again.

I have seen multiple customers coming back to have their orders corrected, including myself. Honestly, my family and I will never choose popeyes again whatsoever.

Everything listed correctly on receipt. Get back to hotel and all mild tenders and french fries??? I mean, like i said, i should have checked. However its also definitely employee error.

No feedback no apologies... nothing.. just a big “oh well”... tonight they ran out of the chicken for the ADVERTISED deal and refused to substitute a SIMILAR item.. asked for a manager and they said no too.. reply was “once we run out that’s it.” Mind you I was buying 3 meals, which easily adds up at Popeyes but I took my business elsewhere because frankly I’m tired of being treated like my business doesn’t matter.. thanks for clarifying that with the numerous times you’ve ignored me and others..

Kev- keepingitreal: We downloaded the app to place our order for pickup and when we arrived at Popeyes, we found out that the app didn’t process our order completely... Thanks to the manager for understanding our technical experience with the app and she completed our order in a timely manner..! It will be appreciated if Popeyes can fix any Bug issues and updates with the app.

Andrew Robinson: Every time I go there they never get my order right. It's like they intentionally give you the wrong stuff just to speed up the orders. Tired of it. I'm never going back. Always in drive through for 20 to 30min. Today I order the new Shrimp box only which has 8 Shrimps only to receive 3 chicken Tenders. Popeys is the worst fast food joint ever!!!!!!

Go2Rell: Come to this Popeyes as a last resort. Expect to wait for an excessive period of time for your food. Expect not to be greeted by staff or receive a please or thank you. Juror Bob: Really bad customer service in here which is regrettable. Better watch out for Diamond , one of the most rude employees in the store . What a staff they have here. Hopefully this help the management. I was just trying to get my order and unfortunately some items were missing and I was working with one of the employees to switch up with some of what they have. That is it . That is exactly the moment when Diamond just jumped in saying just canceled the order we don’t have anything, obviously her coworker who was helping me disagreed with her. I say something back to her : your coworker is trying to help me so I can switch up some items missing and you just jumped in saying you don’t have anything . What an employee? She doesn’t even care . Making money for the store or not she is getting pay, so how can she think about making money for the store by helping the customer switched up some items to make his order. Started arguing with me. Very 😞

Januice Francis- Dunbar: I ordered a 5 piece tender platter spicy. The young lady quickly brings the food over and I checked it because they had another customer come in from the drive thru because they had gotten her order wrong. When I checked my box there were 2 decent sized tenders, the remainder was 3 obviously old broken off pieces of a tender. I asked to speak with the manager who very nonchalantly walked over. She then looked at the chicken and states spicy tenders are only made to order, so I had the option to wait or go with mild. Because I was in a rush, I opted for the mild. With no sense of urgency and a devious grin, the same young lady proceedsW to make another batch. This time I ask her to leave the box open. This time one piece of chicken is obviously old and small. I literally take it out of the box and break it apart asking her if she would put this in her mouth or serve it to her loved ones. She again with no sense of urgency takes the box and added more chicken without taking the old burned one out. This Popeyes has gone down hill and it's unfortunate. I could understand if they were busy, but there was 1 car in line and no one in the front lobby. Still took me 15 minutes to walk out with my food, that wasn't even freshly made.

Louise Henson: I’ve been in the drive thru for 45 minutes waiting. The two cars in front of me drove off. We were all told “we will be right with you”. It leaves the impression your workers are not wanting to work. This is inexcusable.To add insult to injury, my chicken was cold and dried out like it had been in a warmer all day. After an hour of being in the drive thru and I was told they were preparing peoples food; I expected hot fresh chicken. A total of 10 cars left while I was in line 2 in front of me and 8 behind me. There were 2 employees sitting in the dining area.

The manager was equally unhelpful and needs to be retrained. I had an awful experience on 12/5 at 3:25 pm. Definitely won't be back. It's not okay to make up new rules at the drive through window because the cashier is frustrated that the kitchen staff is behind and can't keep up with the needs of the customers and you have multiple cars waiting for their food. Disappointing.... this is a big reason why individuals stop supporting businesses in their neighborhood...

I got there at 9:10pm and was told they weren’t “dropping” anymore food into the fryers so they didn’t have chicken tenders, they didn’t have fries and they didn’t have spicy chicken sandwich. What kind of establishment refuses to make food when they don’t close for another 45min!?! Absolutely ridiculous, and I will never be back.
