Sam Odle: FedEx is open late. The service I received? Great! Decent selection of office supplies so come on in, don’t hesitate!

CB DCDiva: Close to the 14th St exit at McPherson Sq Station, this fedex location provides full print services including banners and large signs. When i checked my order i noticed the grommets to hang my banners weren't on the corners. They quickly rectified that and got me back on my way pretty quickly. Good service and open long hours most days.

Jaehyeon Lee: I visited here with 3 packages.They helped everything to ship.They are nice and professional.

Larry Lindsey: Don't expect service during normal business hours. After standing in front of this place for 30 minutes, I had to walk 5 minutes to UPS just to get the same package delivered. I should have went to UPS first.

Jena Coen: I was in DC for a work trip and used this location for a big, complicated print order. After submitting my order online, I received a phone call from a really friendly team member (Michael) to make sure my special instructions were processed correctly. My order was ready ahead of schedule and was perfect! When I picked up my order, Michael was there to help me, and he was just as pleasant in person. I have used FedEx Office for the same project in numerous cities around the county and always end up having some sort of issue. This was by far the best service I have ever received and I highly recommend this location.

Petra Farrell: I never write reviews but I needed to give kudos to the David Flores and his team at the 1400 K St. FedEx. The staff was friendly despite being very busy. I had a complicated name tag project and David assisted me and even came back from another store location to pitch in. The staff goes above and beyond. I'll definitely turn to them in the future!

geoffrey koury: I was taking a month-long intensive course just around the corner from this business and started stopping in every other morning (very early.. about 7:30am) to print/copy/use paper-cutter and otherwise organize materials.. staff was unfailingly helpful. Also, I purchased a few products that helped me in organizing the aforementioned materials - one was a slick pop-out folder that elicited the interest of several of my colleagues!

Austin Graff: It's nice to have a FedEx one block from the McPherson Metro Station. This location is medium in size and I've always found the staff helpful. They have computers for you to print off of. They also sell any type of presentation type as well as calendars, books, gadgets, etc.

Elizabeth Wooldridge: Had 15 min to get to a meeting, and Dwight made it happen. Thank you! Between internet access, printing, faxing (which did not work), and then problem workaround of a thumbdrive to email to get the job done. I made my appointment and was still able to complete an additional task. Thanks!

Aditya Balachander: Arrived at 627pm exactly to pick up a package. They were locked. It would take 30 secs to get what I already paid for. If they can be this petty about time, so can I with my review.

Charlotte B.: SO grateful for this store. Super convenient and fast. First time using their notary and printing services. Best UPS experience in DC. I have lived here for 6 years! Ed is wonderful. Notary hours vary. Call ahead to confirm availability.

Ethan Paraboschi: UPDATE: Went recently, still horrible. I’ve been here twice, first experience was fantastic, second experience horrible. I was having trouble with one of my return shipments and they kicked me out of the store as soon as they closed. I understand that closing is closing but the lack of understanding and rudeness on behalf of the two employees here was unbelievable. If you can go to another UPS store, do it.

Clay Comer: I had an EXTREMELY pleasant experience today with Edward and Brian B. I had 38 small packages to send and was already cringing walking into the store knowing I'd be "that guy" holding everyone up. Edward did a fantastic job splitting up the work and when other customers came in, didn't make them wait. One continued to work with me and the other helped incoming customers. I think it would have been easy for other places to roll their eyes and make it miserable, but not with these two. We got a few laughs in a long the way and I'd honestly hope for every shipping experience to go like this one. I'll be coming back here instead of the FedEx up the street as often as I can.

Luke: I go to this UPS store regularly for Amazon and other online returns. The staff are helpful, attentive, and courteous. I've gotten to know several staff members over the years - they are really great people who provide a great service to the neighborhood. I see a lot of disorganized people go into this store and expect the staff to resolve their problems. I see the staff respond gracefully, though sometimes that means turning them away. The store hours are strict - that's a fact of life at a lot of businesses. I don't think it's valid to complain about that. I have walked in minutes before closing - I've always been served in those situations but the staff have a ton of work to do loading trucks and such around closing time. I do not recommend going to the store really close to closing - for your and the staff's sake. Just go during the normal hours. They're much better than USPS's hours as it is.

S B: Rule #1: The customer is always wrong. Rule #2: Yes, annoying customer, you're wasting our time. If you can tolerate rules 1 and 2, you'll mostly likely manage to figure it out. Two stars because some of the staff try to help, and their location is awesome. No one around here owns cars, so being able to walk to this store to return amazon packages is super helpful.

Richa Bhattarai: Wonderful customer service. I had to drop off Comcast equipment and wasn't sure about the process. The gentleman finished everything for me within two minutes, all the while explaining it to me. Best experience at a UPS.

Maria Isabel: I needed a notary and I found out UPS offers this service (call to find out times; it’s not available all the hours they are open). It was just 5 dollars per signature. In addition, I have used this office twice for Amazon returns and it was ultra fast and perfect. They know how to handle returns, they tale care of packaging and labeling. You just drop the stuff and show the barcode Amazon gives you online and voilá! Very happy with UPS in my neighborhood!!!

m walters: If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I arrived a little before 9 am on a Saturday when they were supposed to open and the person didn't arrive to the store until 9:20. While I was waiting, several people starting arriving to mail their packages and either decided to wait or leave since they weren't open. When the person finally arrived, they didn't even bother to apologize to the 6 or so customers that were waiting outside their door for them to open. Definitely poor customer service and will not be back!

Sarah Scott: Dropped off an Amazon return, did not realize I had to have a box to ship my item in (that's never been required before when you select "drop off at UPS location"). Mean bald guy at the counter scanned the QR code and then told me I needed to buy a box (when I had boxes at my house to use). So I brought it back the next day in a box, and lo and behold, the QR code is no longer valid. He told me to call amazon (like that is easy) and I said how does one "Call Amazon" and he said and I quote, "Pretty sure they are answering phones" in the most disrespectful tone I have ever heard. Horrendous customer service, my jaw dropped when he said that to me, but as I was wearing a mask, he likely did not see the shock on my face. Hopefully he will see this review and will be enlightened regarding his rudeness, lack of empathy, and downright disrespect.

Karina: If I could give a zero I would! Went in there for some help in printing something, i need assistance because i have low vision but the guy with black hair and beard flat out screamed at me to the point that I was shaking and couldn't even do what I needed to do and walked out in tears. Either he is misogynist or racist. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a place if business!

Ashton Rohmer: Marcelo is terrific and helped me out in a pinch. Glad to have this place in the neighborhood!

Jon Scoggins: 7:39 and still not open. Apparently after 6 entire years, they still remain incompetent to the point of failing to perform basic tasks such as arriving to work.

janet jones: Employees are very courteous and helpful. They answered all my questions about making certain my package arrives in time. I will definitely make this location my new overnight shipping spot!

Nateese S: Very disappointed in how the lady conducts herself as a business women. The lady that works there is very rude and disrespectful. This is my second time having a situation with her. Every time she is there she messes up my packages for return to Amazon. I am still waiting on a refund from Christmas. Yesterday 1-15-2022 around 5:30 I wanted to return something back to Amazon. Which only takes 2 to 4 hours to receive and refunded back to me. Today I still haven’t received anything . I decided to go back to UPS to ask her a question about the package. When I arrived she was listening to something that was very loud and did not turn it down at all. I asked her about the package and I didn’t receive confirmation. She told me to contact Amazon about my package. She dismiss me several times and was very rude by cutting me off and having a loud background. I am not sure if she is the manager or not but I have an issue every time She is there. She picks and chose who she wants to pay for tape. I had a package that required a little bit of tape and she wanted me to pay. Another lady comes in with a package that needs to be tape . She never said anything to her. This UPS does not deserve any service from visitors. Very dissatisfied with her work ethics . It’s ridiculous

Ho LEE: had a great experience yesterday with Leslie. There was a disconnect between the return code the company shared with me and it being recognized by the UPS session. She was friendly throughout the process of figuring out the disconnect and helped me solve it in a short period of time. I was just an drop off of code for Amazon return, (Actually not a customer) But still Great service!. (for free loader)

Lord Brain: I've been coming here for 7 years, I'll even drive out of my way in DC traffic to use their shipping, mailbox, printing, and notary service. Yesterday, I had to ship my whole company inventory to California last minute, otherwise I would have lost the whole sale and dump my inventory in the garbage (thanks covid). I expected to be turned away because I needed time to bring everything in after they closed, and the other store's wouldn't take my business. Thank god I came here otherwise it would all gone in the trash, $20,000 of merchandize and a good chunk of my own equity. The customer service rep's were extremely knowledgeable helpful, gave me tips to work around the system to get there on time, and even set me up with insurance. This is the best store in the area, and I wouldn't go anywhere else, yet alone the post office (UGH!). Knowledgeable, helpful, reliable 10/10 I feel bad for the people working here, the customer infront of me were so rude and demanding, I know it's DC culture, but some people have no manners, and then make reviews on being inconvenienced 2 minutes for the store to open LOL. Don't trust these other reviewers, mental illness is 10% our the US population or 40 million Americans, probably higher in DC haha. This location is 10/10, and I've had my fair share of shipping the last 20 years. Thanks again guys, I definitely will do business again.

Kim Min: Wow the lady works at this location was incredible. She was so helpful with my shipping boxes and patiently helped me. I visited couple of other places to ship this large size art but she finally figured to ship with 60,000 insurance covered.She was so attentive and accommdating. Highly highly recommend this store.

Robert Genovese: I'm having the same complaint other people are having with the guy working at this particular UPS store. I get it's hard to find good workers but this guy is a liability to the store when he challenges a customer on UPS shipping polices and when he is proven wrong he becomes argumentative. Please pay your workers more and get competent people to work for you. You guys are bleeding business because of poor customer service.

Brian Hasbrouck: Charged me $8 to notarize a document in violation of DC law last Thursday morning. Called the UPS store hotline and was told I'd receive a call back within 48 business hours. Still waiting and will likely just dispute the charge. Look at the owner's reviews below - this place isn't professional. Avoid this store! Update - the store just refunded me and the owner was very friendly. She told me there was a mistake by her employee.

G H: The sign clearly states 8:30am - 7pm. It’s 8:32 am and they are not open. At 8:40am this man just strolls in to open up the store, no apologies to the customers standing outside waiting on you. While inside, he had his baseball hat on, pants hanging off his behind (with no belt on) and sunglasses. He had this nonchalant attitude, like he just rolled out of bed. I don’t recommend this location to anyone!

Mahmood B: I would give the garbage hole a zero if I could. We came here for printing business. The store clearly said it is open till 8pm and we waited from 5-6:30pm on Feb 24 2019. There was a sign saying they will be back in half an hour. An hour and a half and two calls to FedEx customer service line, no response. The representative clearly said the store must be open. After waiting we we eventually left. In a world full of competition, FedEx sure knows how to lose customers.

Marie Asmar: We were super well received and advised. I recommande to go to this FedEx Office! The employee who received us took the time to help us and we’re very patient.

Drue Placette: Went in and the employee was rude and watching videos on his phone. We asked him if he could help us and he snapped I am on my break. We waited for nearly 10 minutes and then asked him if he could just help us ship a package real quick we need to catch a flight. He snapped at us that he was going to be on his break for another 30 minutes. We left because the last thing I wanted him to do was break are packages after I left. I filmed the whole thing. Fedex needs to fire this guy immediately.

Andy: I'm an attorney and frequently have to print and ship legal briefs. This location is a life saver and gets my print and shipping jobs done on time every time. Able to handle obscure requests like making the first page of each doc green, binding, see through covers, etc.

Harvey Neuman: I am giving this review on the merits of one employee- Dustin. I delivered a package for work to this office and was told that my airbill contained the tracking number. I tried during the evening, the night, and the next morning to track the item but no avail. I emailed the branch because the phone agents, virtual agents, and online lookup were completely unhelpful. Dustin contacted me, checked internally and found my package en route with a different number. I really appreciate good customer service. Thank you!

Amanda Sexson: Terrible printing service. I spent 3 hours in this store, over 2 different days. They said they couldn't print my PDF for ceremony programs for my wedding because they didn't have the font I used. Note, I didn't need to make a single change to the document, just needed them to hit print! Thank goodness I went somewhere else, that charged me half of what Fedex quoted, was able to print my PDF with no problem, and was much more professional.

nati stern: I really enjoyed printing out fliers in this place. The workers were really nice, in fact, one of the ladies remembered me the second time I came from when I came a month and a half earlier. When a problem came up with my bill the lady working there was really courteous and helpful and resolved the issue right away. Plus, she worked with me to get the best discount.

Jooyeon Kim: Their customer service is definitely not something they should be proud of. I visited to make some copies of brochures, and during the whole process, the folks expressed a very unprofessional attitude towards me and other customers over their own mistakes - one of them even said "you can't expect things to be printed perfectly to be honest because that's just how the printer is." I highly recommend going to a different location.

Angel Billups: Today I came in to fax my doctor paperwork to my job after being discharged from the hospital. This location was convenient to where I parked and the reason for stopping. My job is located in Bethesda minutes from DC and I was charged for long distance fax. I did not agree. I did not have to dial 1 before the number. How was this a long distance fax. Nearly $8 is too much for a 3 page fax to Maryland from DC. I suggest prices should be listed by the fax machine after paying. If I knew the cost up front I would have went somewhere else to fax.

Arturo PG: Very long wait for someone to pick up the phone, and when they did, they were unable to help. My package was sitting in THEIR office, and when I asked them to redirect it, I was told they couldn't do it because the system had automatically scheduled it for return to shipper. When I asked if I could call Fed Ex corporate to redirect it, employee said I couldn't because the package WAS NOT MOVING yet. So let me get this straight: you can't help me because Fed Ex corporate has already scheduled the package to be shipped back, but Fed Ex corporate can't help me because the package is still sitting at your location?????? RIDICULOUS. And the guy that answered the phone falls back on the old line, "I don't work for Fed Ex, I work for the local mail center." Pretty sure your shirt says FED EX on it, Kyle.

Alejandro: The best! I was in a serious bind and this was the only printing service I found that was open late. I reached out to eDiscovery Solutions and they were more than happy to help me out. I was able to get my last-minute documents printed out that same evening. This place also has absolutely amazing customer service! Michael is incredibly friendly and positive. I wish more places were like this, 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone!

Matt Werner: Hands down the best print service I’ve ever experienced in over 20 years of working with print shops. I’m based in Atlanta and needed to find rush printing services for a conference that was happening in 24 hours in DC. I sent in my request, and Michael responded within 10 minutes. The other reviews don’t lie. He was responsive throughout, and he even had the job delivered directly to the site without any trouble. I’ve shared their info with my colleagues and will definitely be working with them again.

Abby Archer: I had a great experience using this service. Our meeting was held in the DC area and while we shipped all our meeting materials printed ahead of time, by the time we arrived much of the details on our agenda had changed. We felt it would be best to update the materials and Michael was able to get the updated file printed and delivered within a 2 hour turn around. I came into the store needing something to be printed and photo copied quickly and the owner didn’t hesitate to jump up and help me as fast as possible. If you ever need any services for your passport like getting photo copies of your id this is right near the passport agency so it’s very convenient. Victoria Pankovich: I can't possibly speak highly enough of Michael and the service he provided to my group and I. I was tasked with a critical 4 page booklet print job Friday evening at 7 pm ish. Issue being, we needed the materials Saturday morning by 7:30 am at the latest. Thankfully a Google search lead me to Michael and Discovery DC. Michael was patient, professional, efficient and went above and beyond any service level I'm used to in this day and age. Not only were the materials perfect, they were ready in time and delivered to our venue. Total life saver. Our group will be using Michael for all printing in future. Discovery DC is phenomenal!

undercoverblk: I was in a serious bind: it was Saturday afternoon, and my usual printer—a major chain print service department—was not picking up, and I needed a rush order printed Sunday for a funeral Monday morning at 9 AM. The job was luxe: 200 copies, heavy (80# or 100#) weight paper, tabloid, full-color edge-to-edge, and saddle stitch staple binding along the center fold. Did I mention it was for a funeral? Family tense and emotional and I’m trying to navigate Adobe InDesign! 😫. However a Google search yielded eDiscovery Solutions. They were available 24 hrs. Worked weekends. Mike responded to my inquiry right away and said they’d be glad to help! Salvation! Said I’d get them the document by noon; however, at 10:30, I was still in the weeds. They gave me until 4 PM. I emailed a test document at 4:30, then a revised one at 6 and then further corrections at 8:30. Even though I was tying up their Sunday, they worked with me. Mike Phelps was gracious, understanding, and kind. I cannot communicate how utterly grateful I am for his kindness in my bereavement. By 10:45 I had picked up the programs which were outstanding! And they had used shrink wrap to protect the programs AND make them easier to transport. The programs were a huge success and made the difficult task of saying a final goodbye to a loved one a little bit easier. Mike was affable and committed. His team, dedicated and competent. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They set the standard for good business. I will use them for everything and tell all my friends and colleagues. They set a high standard! Even better—their quotes are competitive, and in my case fair, and still the best rate I’ve seen.

wes felton: I used to love using this Location for sending packages but now they have gotten worse with the quality of Service! Always long lines and 1 Single employee working. 5 Minute visits turn into 20 minutes or more. Please bring back the woman who usually works here. They literally have one man doing 20 things by himself. The Chevy Chase Location has more staff if you value your time.

Jordan Rothenberg: When you read some of these negative reviews, you just hope that it was penned by someone who is overly sensitive or just unable to stay level-headed. You want to find something that says it will be different for you. Unfortunately, my first-hand experience spending over $350 over the past 2 days at this FedEx location tells me that the woman behind the counter is likely as rude/unprofessional as many people make mention in these comments. She was brusk, ignored my direct questions, and just had a terrible attitude the entirety of our limited interaction. Maybe there's something more under the surface, but that's for her to discover. As far as being a patron is concerned, this won't prevent me from using FedEx in the future as they do provide a valuable service and I am appreciative for that. My recommendations for future customers: don't expect any kindnesses when entering this shop and you won't be disappointed!

Aleksandra Vekshina: Received horrible service from lady named Chanel. She was rude, impatient. We needed urgent passport photos of our baby ( it was his birthday also that day and I even mentioned it to try to get Chanel to be nicer). In the end she didn’t even try to take several pictures just gave a camera to my husband and went to do other things . She was very busy folding boxes in the back. When we were finally able to take one decent picture she made sure to help everyone else in line who were after us before getting to me. Pictures were not accepted anyhow. But needless to say I paid almost $16 for nothing but frustration. We were so excited to visit DC from Florida for baby’s first Birthday. And here. That’s how DC greeted us.

Mirian Cabrera: I went to FedEx this past weekend to work in their work station. Michael and Alex had exceptional customer service skills. They offered to help with the project I was handling without me having to seek for help. While still attending to other customers. They appeared to be the only employee in the store at that time. I will definitely continue to go to this location!

Nicolla Etzion: Every time I go the service is horrible. either they don't know what to do, are extreamly slow, are rude, or just flat out look like they are either high or hungover. Never have had a good experience, they over charge are are extreamly slow. When I try to pack the box myself to speed up the prossess they don't let me at first and I have to keep asking so I don't end up spending 30 min there when I'm one of 2 people in the store (which has happened). Go to UPS down the street, this isn't worth it.

Andrew Murray: Two straight times i have dealt with this office and two straight times they have completely screwed it up shipping my packages. They used to have a much better staff, but the current staff is indifferent to any issues and pass the buck when trying to solve a problem. i will make sure to visit another location moving forward

Mirakmal Niyazmatov: This review is about international shipment. Horrible experience. Can't believe a FedEx agent is not qualified enough to enter a correct address from the waybill customer fills out. She put in completely different country and the package is still there, 28 days since shipment. Note that FedEx will not be helpful at all to re-route the package. I have been calling them for the last two weeks, NOTHING, the package is still in a wrong country.

Jose Sanchez: I visited 3 different location prior to this one, great customer service, I need to cut a few magnets marketing signage, they let me borrow the slider and do my own cuts. They were the only people in town willing to help. Great Job guys keep it up.

Liz Krajnak: I sent them an email with an attachment for processing. I called them, too. They said they could do my project. Then they sent me an email asking to approve the price before they could process... And when I went to pick up my packet, it was not done! Why? Because they do not carry the materials for my project! I asked if they could have emailed or called me and the reply was "we thought it was a rush order." Stay away from this place.

Ta Mom: Spent about 40 min for a simple shipment. It took forever to check the rates, jumping from one PC to another, changing three in a row. Wake up FedEx, this is 21 century for god's sake. Train your employees and get better equipment.

Temitayo A: I went to this FedEx location because of the positive reviews. I was not disappointed :). The location was clean, organized, and had a lovely selection of various items to shop for while I waited for my book to be unbound and spiraled (5 minutes). They even gave me a box for my book at no cost. The FedEx employees were warm, welcoming and helpful. While I have other UPS and FedEx locations around me, I will be coming back to this one and recommending it to others.

Alex Mirabile: I had to place a custom order with only a few days notice and the team at this store handled my inquiry like pros. Special shoutout to Jack, who took my call at the end of the day on a Friday and made sure the order was taken care of from start to finish (she even delivered it!). I will definitely be using this location for future print jobs.

When I had a small issue, Logan the store manager responded promptly to my email, and Tim at the printers was very helpful and friendly. The young lady who was also there (I am sorry I did not catch her name) was also attentive and helpful when I came into the store. Melissa Groth: Went for printing services. There was a bit of confusion to begin with, and it was a little hectic (they could definitely benefit from having more than 2 people on staff, maybe they usually do?). Anyway, I think it's probably difficult for a regular person to explain to a printing pro what they want, and vice versa, so I have a new appreciation for that. All that being said, the woman who ended up taking care of me, Kim, was the best. Super efficient, knew what I needed and handled it quickly, all while advising a junior staff member on other matters. Definitely a multi tasking pro. My print came out how I wanted and I'm happy with my experience.

Karthik Krishnan: Joanna was extremely helpful in assisting me print certificates I needed for work. Did a great job very quickly and helped me get exactly what I needed in a matter of 10 minutes. Great location!

Chuck Hurley: First off - this FedEx office is located inside the Hyatt Regency hotel. I panicked for a minute when I walked down there and didn't see it from the street. It's a small location but was conveniently located within walking distance of my work. I just had a simple FedEx shipment to take care of. I can't speak to bigger projects. The staff member was friendly and helpful, and I was in and out in just a few minutes. Would definitely use this location again.

Keith Friend: Charged a $10 fee to send a “free” pre-paid package. Something about the Hyatt hotel charging a separate handling fee. I was told this wouldn’t be charged at other FedEx locations. Avoid this location if you can.

Nate Gambill: I needed a significant print project delivered to a court within a few hours from when I called. David and Anthony followed through and made it happen - got it printed and delivered that afternoon. The price ended up being a little higher than the quote they gave over the phone, but the end result outweighed that issue in my mind. Thanks!

Buster Doney: Because they are in a hotel, they charge a special $10 fee for dropping off or picking up packages. Regardless if you already paid for a label.

Kevin Nguyen: Christia deserves an award, most helpful employee! Brightened up my day and made the company look good.

Unless Verizon cell towers are wrong it’s 5:58 but of course she could care less and through the other side of the glass threw her hand in my face and walked away. Class A Customer service if you ask me. Especially when half of us don’t have jobs right now you think the ones that did would be a little more helpful. Nils Hünerfürst: A little bit goofy but staff is friendly and the copy service works great.

Evie Callis: Consider carefully selecting a notary at this location who will actually do their job correctly. My experience is that a particular notary decided her need to be right (when she was absolutely wrong) outweighed her ability to do her job correctly, or even allow for a simple correction to fix her mistake. She totally botched up a very very important legal document that needed to be recorded by not signing her own name correctly and cost many people a lot of stress, time and money. Overall, she had a bad and surly attitude and it did not even occur to her to offer anyone an apology. In addition, no effort whatsoever was made to correct this egregious error - which was actually an option. All that was offered was arrogance and contempt.

Jenny Richardson: I was having trouble locating a package I sent from Georgia to D.C. Matthew took the time to listen to me and help me even tho his store was not involved. If I lived in D.C., this is definitely where I would give my business. Matthew knows what he is doing and is willing to be helpful in a world where no one wants to offer personal customer service any more. Many thanks!!!

Tarah Celestin: Mya was extremely helpful and understanding. She worked with me to get all of my large moving boxes to my new home safely. She took extra care to reinforce the boxes with tape and her patience put me at ease. I felt worried about my packing and moving with such large boxes, but working with her made it so much better. Zoe Lu: Update: package delivered several weeks later.. still don't know why glitch happened but the store manager apologized profusely. Appreciate this follow-up and revised rating. Original post: I was waiting to leave this review to see if the store would be reasonable to help me resolve this issue, but it seems they refuse to take accountability for their part. I had a package shipped here since my building has been experiencing package theft. I went into the store to pick up my package a few hours after receiving the notification that it was ready but the store was unable to locate it. Their system showed some weird error so I had to pull up the information on my end which showed that an employee named Matt scanned in. Said employee claimed he did not scan it in and someone else had logged it under his name. Since they couldn't find the package they assumed it was accidentally loaded onto a truck for delivery. I waited two days and they never called me back to say if the package came back in. When the clerk looked it up, system now claimed recipient refused the package and it was on a truck somewhere. He also mentioned that I was the second person with this issue that week. I called UPS customer service as instructed and it went nowhere. The automated system told me package was returned, when I got through to the customer service rep she couldn't even locate the tracking number and despite repeating the digits, she had no record. She told me to contact the store again or ask for the shipper to resend. I contacted the store again and they tried to pawn me off on UPS corporate even though it was an error on their end. A manager has yet to return my phone call regarding reimbursement. UPS corporate refused my claim because of "store error". In the end, the shipper is resending the package and filed a complaint on my behalf because THEIR system shows a delivery delay. Frustrating to know the store refused to acknowledge their role and claimed that since they're "independently owned" they shouldn't be held liable. What is the point of access points if our packages won't make it to us?

A R: This is one of the worst UPS stores ever. There is no management here. I walked into this store and wanted to get copies done of few documents. The ONLY one staff doing the work at the counter there showed me where the machine is and how to place the paper and then asked me to make all the copies myself and holler if it doesn't work. Oh the machine did not work. I hollered. She said try moving the paper around and I couldn't figure it out until 10 copies. I kept asking for help but she did not care. After repeated attempts of failing I figured out how to make it work. I made my copies and went to the counter. There was 1 customer ahead of me and 2 after. The staff member asked if I am done making copies. I said yes. And still she ignored me to go to the next customers. When she finally decided to entertain me I told her that I want to ship these copies. She asked for my address. I first told her my number and she read an address on the system which was different so I told her that isn't my address, but she said it is in the system and I was like it needs to change then. She told me I am rude and did not process the order and started raising her tone. As I was noticing the name on her badge, she realized that I was doing so and took the badge off. Eventually I went outside and called UPS customer care. They told me to go inside and talk to another delivery employee there which I did who started telling me why the other staff behaving rudely is right and I am wrong instead of helping take care of my need. The customer care guy eventually told me to leave without paying with my copies. The $4 bucks don't make a difference in my life and I so wanted to pay that but the staff there was hell bent in not processing. They even made fun of my accent. What a horrible and bullying store!!! NEVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE...

Sarah Cammarata: Do not go to this store at all costs. You will deeply regret it. This store lost my passport and visa and is not helping with the investigation into how my package went missing. I had a mental breakdown at the store and even then, the employee provided no sort of recourse. Not to mention that they sometimes answer the phone, and say “hold on” and then never return and will hang up 45 minutes later. Or, they respond with an inadequate response and hang up. Very horrible experience with everyone at this store.

Kay DC: This is probably the worst UPS Store that I have ever been in. It's not just incompetence or poor customer service, it's actual negligence. This past weekend, I slipped on some ice on the UPS entryway, while trying to open the very heavy door. One of the employees did come out to see if I was OK, which I really appreciated. But when I suggested that they should salt the entry because even though I was just a bit bruised and sore, someone else could be very seriously injured. Both employees then quickly deflected and said it wasn't their job/wasn't their fault. OK... so to add insult to injury (literally)I dropped off my package and when I explained I had come there for the purpose of getting a receipt, was told that I "had an attitude." Fast forward three days later, I decide to get over my PTS from the experience and go back because I needed a document notarized. I made an appointment using the online system and even received a confirmation the day of the appointment. I show up and was simply told "the notary won't be here today." No suggestion about when to come back or why the appointment hadn't been cancelled if the notary wasn't coming. If you have the option to go to any other UPS store, don't choose this one.

Patricia Davis: I recently did a phone payment to this store for my po box. Next thing I know, I'm getting all kinds of charges to my card -- Door Dash and others. A few months ago I was expecting a credit card and it never showed up. I'm very suspicious of the staff there. The franchise owner did nothing but cover her butt. I'm trying to reach corporate, no luck so far. Beware Note: I am referring to the 455 Mass. Avenue location.

Kate O'Connor: This is bar none the worst place I’ve ever done business. I spent over $150 sending a package to Europe. It was never mailed and returned to me the next day at my home. I understand that mistakes happen, so I took it back to the store to resolve it. No one could figure out why the package was returned, or figure out how to mail it (which seems like the job of the ups store?). After going back and forth with them for over two hours, I finally took the package to FedEx where it was mailed without incident. That all was annoying, but, again mistakes happen. The real problem with this store is that I’ve been trying to get refunded for over two months. The manager, Jermaine, consistently refuses to call me back and is never at the store (I’ve left five messages and gone to the store four times.) I’ve also reach out to the owner via email (the only contact information they would give me) and they have not replied.

Ekta chaudhary: Horrible store! The staff doesn't listen to you properly. I sent a shipment to India and they manipulated the item value. When asked, they acted like it's not their fault and were extremely rude about it.

Carrie Schmaus: Nice employees but they charge a handling fee to drop off a pre paid package.

Brian Chism: This location will charge you fees for everything. The lost our packages, tracking showed they were signed for on Friday, when we arrived on Sunday they could not find all the packages. We paid the fee for the items they could find. Long story short on Tuesday when our event was over they found the other packages. They wanted us to pay the handling fee again for the items. They were of no use to us as the show was over. So we tried sending the items back, using FedEx. We had preprinted FedEx labels, they charge for that too. That’s right they charge a handling fee for you to drop off FedEx packages at a FedEx location! All they had to do was let the driver pickup the packages but they charge a fee on stop of your shipping costs. It’s like they don’t want you to use FedEx! Don’t waste your time with this place, they will loose your items then want more money out of you!

Kinwa Yu Chen: Yes, they WILL charge handling fee if you hold your boxes at this Fedex location because they are part of the Mariott hotel and not a true Fedex location; but you are paying for the convenience if you are showcasing at a convention held at the Walter E. Washington Convention center (i.e. Otakon). They will move your boxes for you at the Connector to the convention center for easy access for your shipment to be carried to Artist Alley or Dealer Room halls so you do not have to lug your packages outside. If you don’t want to pay handling fee, there is literally a Fedex location on every block around the hotel so no excuse. Do your research people.

Christopher Rathsack: Avoid this location. I just needed to ship a simple package (fedex medium box). The agent seemed to be annoyed that someone wanted to ship something. At the stand where the boxes were, I grabbed a slip and filled it out. When I went up to the counter, I asked her to verify that it was the right slip since there were 3 different ones. I couldn't ask earlier because she was involved in a lengthy call. She replied that it didn't matter because those were old and they didn't use them anymore. She didn't explain why there were stacks of them in the store. Then she mentioned that there was an extra $10 handling fee to ship any package from that location. I decided to leave, save $10 and get the added bonus of not speaking to her anymore. Suggestions - Don't have a location if you don't want people to use it. Help the clerk working the morning of 5/8/2017 find a job which doesn't interact with people.

Mike Chan: place is absolutely worthless. the charge a "handling fee" which is BS. lady behind the counter doesn't even do anything, just hands you a form to fill out like it's the 1980s. Now we aren't even sure our package got shipped out.

James Butler: Renard was extremely helpful and had a great attitude when dealing with every customer that walked into the store (myself included). I would definitely use this Fedex location again!

Mary Danzi: Sorry I could only give 5 stars. I recently moved to NW DC. I had to call Comcast to cancel and return my TV equipment. I spent over an hour on hold and when I did eventually speak with someone live, she was less than helpful. I was instructed to take my equipment to my local UPS store and they would return it for me. I was very skeptical it would be that easy. I was expecting another painful and time consuming interaction at the store. Well, was I wrong. It couldn't have been easier and it took maybe 5 minutes from beginning to end. I was assisted my a very friendly Irish man. Didn't get his name. He asked me to wait and he'd give me a receipt to show I had indeed dropped the equipment off. I also picked up a few greeting cards when I was in the store ( great selection too). Thank you to UPS for making this a very pleasant experience. I will definitely be coming back to ship things to my daughter at University. M.D.

DC Explorer: Nice, helpful, efficient staff---I enjoy using their services! Just a heads up that the US postal service rates UPS stores provide are higher than the actual rate you'd get at the post office. I prefer using UPS, but when I'm mailing something cheap and I'm in no rush, I still use the post office on occasion.

Jackie B: Who knew that Fedex Office could be this exciting!! I just need to print a document but both computers were being used. I went to the copier where it gave me instructions to send my documents to copier. I received an email that it didn't work. I went to the counter and was helped by friendly, Martinique. She told me to send to this address and she would print it. While, I was emailing, I heard her say to a gentleman to leave and pick up the phone. When I turned around, there was a gentleman stealing lots of product. She was calling the police with the information. After she completed the call, she said he comes in a lot and steals. They have desperately tried to move product and deter this crime, but they can't put all.product behind the counter. She was extremely professional and composed throughout this entire theft. The gentleman next to me stated he had no idea what was going on either. Martinique should not have to deal with this nonsense, but her demeanor was unwavering. She was professional and never had anything negative to say throughout. I hope people realize the stress involved with this job. Thank you, Martinique! You were awesome.

Zoe Lu: Very rude staff and doors opened late (20 minutes after stated opening time). Came in to drop off large box with preprinted label. The entire staff watched me struggle to open the door, a passerby was nice enough to hold the door open for me. Then, with a lot of attitude, they told me that if I put it on the cart they will then ship it for me. I walked too far in the store and with more attitude told me that I put it in the wrong place and need to pick up the package and move it. Worse customer service and I am sure the excuse is that they were "following social distancing protocols".

Chris Hennemeyer: Fedex Adams Morgan gets five stars from me today entirely based on the great customer service and charming attitude of Martinique. Amazing how she brightens the place when she's on duty. Otherwise this outlet can be a bit unimpressive.

ryandhahn: Avoid this Fedex location at all costs! I had a package shipped to me at this location. Got a notification that the package was being held for me, went in the next morning and the clerk could not find it after searching for quite a while, said she'd have to talk to her manager. I called back a few days later, they said they had found the package. However, I had to be away from DC for a few weeks and the clerk told me they would hold it until I'm back. A few days later, lo and behold, I get an automated notification from Fedex saying the package is being returned to the sender. I called the office again, explained the issue to the clerk who then said I'd have to speak to his manager, and he'd have the manager call me back shortly. Two days later, and not a word. What an enormous waste of time, never setting foot in this place again.

Quinn Scanlan: Arrived around 5:45 p.m. to ship packages and they were closed even though the store is supposed to be open until 8 p.m. I even called FedEx customer service to be sure the hours were not incorrect. No sign on the door or anything indicating WHY they were not open (I checked because I understand emergencies happen). Hard to think of anything more unprofessional…

Toñi Blaya: The woman who is in charge of printing was super rude. She did not even help me to print some files despite it was my first time doing this in the US. I understand that people have some bad days and they dont feel like doing anything but she should be more professional. I have left this place without printing my files.

Corey Newman: This store, which is less than a block from my house used to be fairly decent. However, relatively recent personnel changes have resulted in a zero star operation. Invariably slow and rude are not any way to run an operation. I'd like this location to remain, but they need better staff, training, or both.

sara rosen: I walked up to the counter and said ‘Hi, I’d like to ship something’ and the man snapped back ‘I’m tired!’ and the interaction went down hill from there. There were eye rolls dramatic sighs; I was ignored; l was given incorrect instructions and then snapped at for following those instructions; I was sneered at and patronized. Another woman in the shop just gave up and walked out. You would have to work hard to find someone ruder and less helpful than the people at this FedEx. Go somewhere else, anywhere else, use a different company or the postal service, anything. Also, their last pickup time is quite early; so my “Priority Overnight” package, which was dropped off on Thursday at 4pm is not expected to arrive until Monday at 10:30. What is “priority “ or “overnight” about that?

Jameka Timlic: There’s a reason why they already have a 2 star rating. I went in to print something and the associate named “Precious” had an attitude immediately. Not sure how she got hired in customer service but she needs training on how to talk to customers. She was incredible rude. I will not be coming here again

Sophie Feldman: I was in a rush and very confused about what to do when I got in, and on top of that I wasn’t wearing my glasses so I found myself both mentally and visually disoriented. The blurry employee, though, took note of my confusion with such an easy grace that, immediately, I knew all my printing needs were but a trifle to someone so solid in the ways of printing and shipping. I wandered about the store’s many offerings with a sense of wonder, when suddenly a gentle voice emerged from behind. “Here it is, enjoy your day.” And enjoy I shall, with my parking pass in tow. Thank you FedEx, and thank you whichever employee was working at 5:15 PM Sunday, March 13th. Whenever I print hereafter, I’ll think of you.

Cynthia Tinsley: This location is closed until December 27 despite Google stating that it's open until 9 PM. They get three star for placing a sign on the door indicating their closure.

Inna Na: I dropped off a package today and asked for a receipt. The man behind the counter was very obviously annoyed that I had asked for one since it made him stop whatever he was doing for just a mere 30 seconds. He pointed out with an attitude that my receipt is technically the tracking number. While thats helpful information for next time, there are other ways to communicate that. This dude was annoyed for doing the literal job that he is paid to do. I left annoyed myself after that...

Z S: Rude staff. I went to print off some documents and a banner today. The process of printing off the banner was long and was not communicated. As I was waiting, the printing machine finally began printing my banner and the man who was supposed to be helping me abruptly went to the back and started laughing and joking around. I was confused and asked the other customer service representative about this and she rudely snapped at me, “He’s helping you print your things!” She called the man who was supposed to be helping me back and he said, “oh, this process usually takes a while”. I didn’t mind waiting however long it took to print the banner, but I wish that this were communicated ahead of time and throughout the process. A simple, “ma’am, this process is going to take around 15 mins, is that ok?” goes a long way. I also didn’t appreciate being snapped at when the wait time wasn’t communicated at all to begin with.

Jose Ayala: Worst service, on the receipt it say that’s $0.34 and they charged me $20 dollars. I was trying to get some help from someone, but they didn’t do anything.

Monika Porter: I wanted to express my feeling of disappointment. Whoever the guy is (long hair, bigger guy, not sure his name) who was closing the store today was very rude. Me and my husband came to print and puncture very important papers this evening. We asked the staff for a hole puncher and they (there were two guys) had very unhelpful attitude to start with. We needed a two hole puncher but we were informed that it had been thrown away. We asked if they had any hole puncher then we were given a three hole puncher. After that we asked if we can mail the documents. The guy with long hair told us that he cannot do it because it won’t get shipped today anyway. My husband asked if we can send it anyway because he is working all day tomorrow. And now we are told that he closed the system.Seriously? Is this how your turn away your customer? And although I can understand that you might have procedures that the system has to be closed before 8pm they didn’t even bother to give us heads up when we came to use the service at 7.30pm. I find this customer service VERY RUDE ,UNHELPFUL and UNPROFESSIONAL. They made me and my husband feel as if they are doing us a favor for being there! We didn’t hear any apologies or anything not even pretending they were trying to help. I find this behavior very unacceptable and shame on you for having staff treating people this way!!!After all we contribute to their salary. I worked in customer service before and this kind of behavior is not how you make money.

Cameo Berlin: Went in twice this past week and both time Daniel helped me out. He was super friendly and professional. While he was helping me he also was managing this guy that was being kind of difficult. Daniel handled it with grace- he was super calm throughout the whole thing- exactly the kind of service we need this time of year. thank you!

Daina Agee: The staff at this store was incredibly helpful & kind. I called to confirm they were open, the call was answered by a human (no voicemail or phone tree), & they told me about parking options (a garage next door or the loading zone out front). There was a mistake in my shipping address and the staff was so so nice to fix it for me over the phone and run the paperwork out to the curb. THANK YOU so much. The store is off the beaten track but well worth going to SW because the staff was so nice about everything.

eric: A visitor from England left their laptop in my apartment. Since they needed their computer I brought to this store for packaging and shipping. Expensive, but I thought their expertise worth the price. Sadly, I was wrong. The first attempt at shipping was returned because the ‘expert’ filled out the label incorrectly. The second try did make it to England, but with an unexpected import tax of $270. Apparently the ‘expert’ who prepared the second label neglected to list the item as used personal property, something I’d explicitly requested. Instead they listed it as a gift. Use this location at your own risk.

D G: Don't bring your Amazon returns here! I dropped mine off 3 days ago and was given a receipt with a tracking #. Tracking for this # still shows as "label created" only, with no evidence that the package ever went anywhere. I stopped by the store yesterday to ask about this, and the staff told me that the tracking number they give for Amazon returns does not necessarily reflect the actual shipment! They aggregate Amazon returns, and ship them with a different tracking number. The staff told me to call Amazon, provide them the tracking # that this store originally gave me, and Amazon would credit me for the return. Not true. After 32 minutes on the phone, a very helpful Amazon agent reached the same conclusion I had - how can Amazon credit me when they have neither received my return nor proof that it was actually shipped to them? Amazon was adamant that this consolidation of returns, with no accurate tracking # for the customer is NOT the appropriate protocol. Amazon advised me to file a claim with UPS for a lost package. UPDATE: UPS' response does not address the following facts: (1) I was not told that my Amazon return would not be immediately returned to Amazon - had I been told this, I would have just brought the return to the nearby Whole Foods, which would have resulted in a prompt refund; (2) UPS.did not inform me that the "tracking" number they gave me is a dummy # that i cannot use for tracking my package; (3) Amazon customer service informed me that UPS' consolidation of returns was *not* an authorized practice. According to Amazon, my return should have been promptly sent to them, and I should have been given a tracking #. Either UPS is wrong or Amazon is - but my return is still MIA, a full week after I dropped it off; and (4) UPS would not accept my claim as sender of the missing package, because the "tracking" # they gave me on my receipt is not a valid tracking #!!!
Response: Thank you for leaving a review for the store. As of two and a half years ago, we have been working with Amazon to make returns easier and less expensive for our customers. Over 5,000 UPS Stores have the same procedure for the return of Amazon products. Most of the smaller returns get packaged in individual bags and they are consolidated into a box with other customer's returns. Based on the information provided in your review, it appears that your amazon return was a consolidated return. The receipt that is given to you is proof that you dropped off the item but it does not have a valid tracking number because the shipment of consolidated returns and consequently, the tracking number, will not be generated until the box is full or after seven calendar days, whichever comes first. We apologize for any miscommunication and please feel free to reach out to me at 240-707-6756 to discuss this matter further so we can determine whether your item was a consolidated return. If you selected, "Refund to original payment method" (credit/debit card), the site will also inform you that you will receive your refund within 7 business days. The role we handle is packaging the return and providing you with the date and time you dropped it off. I apologize again for the lack of communication regarding your return. NT Day: Beware that they do not take Nespresso capsule recycling as the other UPS Stores do. They claim you need a label which you do not (triple checked with Nespresso). Also very mansplainy, so I went (and will continue) to the Woodmoor store. Sad, I was excited that they were in the neighborhood but between this and the sketchy Amazon return policy, I don't trust them.

There is not a way that we can scan it and give a receipt without the return shipping label that Nespresso always provides in their packages.
