Evan Anthony: We hired Sam as the photographer for our wedding in Haymarket, VA, and he was simply amazing and a true professional. Sam photographed our engagement session as well as the wedding. Working with him for our engagement shoot, and seeing the results only furthered our excitement to work with Sam for our wedding. It is hard to put into words how happy we are after working with him. One thing that we love about Sam is his amazing eye for phenomenal shots. This is very evident after looking through his work. We decided to work with Sam after a phone call where we learned more about him, and expressed the vision for our wedding. In addition to shots after the ceremony, Sam brought us outside for pictures during sunset, as well as moonlit pictures towards the end of the night. We feel that Sam goes above and beyond in his work. He is truly talented, and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend Sam if you are looking for a photographer for your event
The Mbimbas: We had the best time during our engagement session with Sam! We were so nervous, but his calm presence made us so comfortable and we were laughing the whole time. He was professional and on time even though he had to drive all the way to Delaware! We love our photos so much and cannot wait for him to shoot our big day. We had to reschedule our wedding because of Covid and chose a date based on Sam’s availability - that’s how much we love his work. He really is an artist. His use of crystals, “ring of fire” and other techniques create such stunning images. I am editing my review because our wedding occurred and it was the best day ever! Sam was so calm and professional. The day went perfectly and I am so excited to see the photos from sunset. Throughout this wedding procession he has quickly and calmly answered all of my questions without getting frustrated. He truly is a gem! If you are looking for colorful, unique photos and a chill, but extremely talented photographer, this is your guy!
Sara Modlin: Wow! What an incredible find! So lucky to have found the PERFECT wedding photographer for our wedding. Throughout our planning process with COVID, Sam was always extremely responsive. On the wedding day, Sam was extremely chill and our wedding party informed us of how much they enjoyed working with him. Sometimes, people may find photos overwhelming but Sam’s experience wasn’t at all. It was easy and enjoyable. Sam shocked us by finding a hidden gem of a location to take our wedding photos. We didn’t even think of this spot. There wasn’t much greenery at our location, and somehow he found a gorgeous area full of trees and perfect lighting. Sam is extremely talented. His photos are not the boring wedding photos that all look the same. His photos have so much character and color. He’s great at not only capturing candid moments, but also great at photographing the wedding decor (flowers, etc). He really impressed us with how many different photos he was able to take during the ceremony & reception. Would highly recommend!! .

My husband and I were living in Spain when we got married, and Sam was extremely flexible with shooting the Engagement Photos and took great care to make sure everything was ready for our day. He also helped us pose for the pictures since we were not very good at it while at the same time capturing those natural moments that really illustrated our love. He also got the pictures to us quickly because he knew how excited we were to see them and relive everything. Kofi & Mary Woodley: We wish there was on option to give a 10-star rating because that’s what Kirth Bobb’s Photography truly deserves! It was clearly obvious to us that Kirth was an outstanding photographer from looking at his past work. His photos are works of art! But what truly sets him apart is the thorough process in which he caters to his clients, the meticulous approach to his work/art, and the conspicuous passion for his profession. When we booked Kirth to shoot our engagement and wedding photos, he made it his priority to get to know us a couple more, our story, and how we would like our memories to be curated. After he got to know us better, he carefully explained what his process is like, what was his objective, and ensured it aligned with our interests and input. He also kept in constant communication with us between shoots, updating us on any new information, requests, and/or concerns. On the day of shoots Kirth ensured that we were comfortable, and most importantly, that we were having fun! Believe it or not, posing all day for pictures can be super stressful. But Kirth made it was an enjoyable experience. Kirth was also remarkable in getting great shots of the people and the scenes of the wedding; capturing a variety of candid expressions and moments that told an incredible story of our wedding day. To this day, everyone who views our photos always comment on how astonishing they are. And so do we! Having Kirth as our photographer was such a rewarding decision for us. Sara Stesis: Jess worked with us to do a maternity shoot. She was so fun to work with and got us laughing naturally so that our pictures looked like "us". We loved some of the candid moments she got of the two of us before we became the three of us. Jess is professional easy to work with and talented behind the camera. We loved working with her so much we are going to work with her again for our family photos now that little man has joined us.
Marne Marotta: Jessica is just amazing with kids. She somehow manages to keep my VERY active kids engaged and she always manages to get amazing shots. We’ve had other photographers that were good, but none compare to Jessica. Not only are the sessions enjoyable (even with a 2 and 4 year old), we end up with so many great pictures. Truly, the hardest part is figuring out which pictures to frame!

Jon Haines: Jessica is an incredibly talented photographer, and AMAZING with kids. Lisa L: WOW! Just WOW! Had to schedule a graduation photo shoot from Texas for my daughter in DC. Not only did Damon make every step so easy but after talking with him on the phone and getting to know him a bit I was even more excited to work with him. He is exceptional...Literally, no other way to describe him. His work style, sense of humor, creativity, patience, you name it are all incredible. The pics we received were outstanding too! Keep in mind that we had no easy task for him... juggling a blended family, a morning when bad weather threatened and a senior pup, he juggled it all effortlessly and made for one of the best and most fun photo sessions I have ever been a part of. I had initially chosen Damon based on the ratings on here and boy they did not let me down. If you are looking for someone with imagination, great communication and a fantastic eye for capturing a special moment in your life book Damon now!!! You will NOT regret it! I arrived for my headshot session and he was friendly, accommodating and explained the whole process to me as this was my first headshot experience. Shikha Chaurasia: We had our engagement photoshoot with Mantas, and it went fantastically! He made it easy for us to be ourselves, and we felt the pictures managed to capture not just us, but our personalities. This lended itself to a rather unique invitation that we were happy with (the back included a picture of us chasing some geese). Our photoshoot was in a garden on a sunny day, I was wearing my favorite yellow dress… the photos are so wonderfully colorful! And yet one of our favorites happened to be a black and white one, I guess he’s just that good. Mantas also makes very creative use of the “props” available (geese that happened to be around, chairs that happened to be empty, an interesting perspective taken through a welcome sign that happened to be there). Definitely would recommend him!

Laura Benvenuto: Adam was a breathe of fresh air and a delight from the first meeting. He made us feel comfortable and explained everything throughly and thoughtfully. He was always accessible and helped us through planning and postponing due to Covid. We were able to work with him for our micro wedding in 2020 and then again in 2021 for our bigger wedding - both occasion gave us the most amazing pictures that are now framed throughout out house. His infectious energy and expertise made us and our guest comfortable in front of the camera. Chandra January: Let me tell you about this AMAZING photographer! I was all stressed because I am a TERRIBLE planner! I was only like 2 weeks away from my birthday and wanted to do a 40 and Fabulous shoot with my best friend who just turned 40. Not only did Paco have time to shoot me and my bff before my 40th birthday, but he took some time out of his busy schedule to make sure at least a few of my pics were edited and ready for me for my birthday. And on the day of the shoot, I had the worst luck with my slow MUA, but he was soooo patient with me, and when it came time to shoot, my hard-headed self did NOT do what he asked (take my advice, SHOW EMOTION lol) and STILL, ended with some of the most AMAZING photos I have EVER taken in my life!!! We even brought our dog along for the photo shoot and Chris made sure to capture our pup in just the right light so he could shine too! Again, I wish we had met Chris years ago because our wedding photos would have been 100x times better.

Jennifer Spencer: My fiancé and I found Chris Ferenzi photography after a thorough web search. We liked his style and I was immediately drawn to his work. When I look at his photos I see a fresh perspective; crisp, clean pictures that look real and in the moment. I emailed Chris’ about his service and availability on a late Friday afternoon and he responded in less than two hours! Prior to booking our wedding date, Chris and I spoke over the phone for about an hour. I gave him our background “story,” what we were looking for in a photographer, and of course what type of final products we wanted. I was undecided about how many actual pictures to purchase and if we should order a book, etc., and Chris help walked me through the options and let me make decisions along the way. I greatly appreciated his flexibility and patience. We truly enjoyed working with Chris and we love the final product. Tyler Post: Chris took photos for my proposal to my fiancé. The photos came out perfect in every sense of the word. Jennifer Dougherty: Denis is an incredible photographer. We met him in DC for family photos. He has a keen eye for perfect lighting. He was able to direct and explain how to stand or pose for optimal photos. He worked extremely well with my teenage son, making them laugh when they needed a natural smile, and explaining how to pose even though it was awkward. He made it seamless, easy, and fun for all of us. It happened to be about 90 degrees that morning and, despite the heat and my son’s incessant complaining, he took it in stride and got some amazing photos that we’ll cherish forever!

Ajay Kori: Deeba was incredible! Hired him to capture a surprise proposal and he went above and beyond. The week leading up to the event he helped brainstorm locations for the best photos and opine on strategy. Walking up to our chosen proposal spot, I was initially worried because someone was sitting near where I was going to propose and would be in the shot. Turns out, it was Deeba making sure nobody else got in the area for the perfect proposal. He was so clandestine my fiancee had no idea anything was about to happen until I was on one knee. She was so surprised she never took off her glasses during the actual proposal and he noticed and right after we were done kissing had us quickly re-enact the moment without glasses or her purse. The shot speaks for itself. Would highly, highly recommend for anything important you want to capture in the most beautiful way possible.
Lauren Kuhlik: I would highly recommend Deeba as a wedding photographer! He was extremely easy to work with and very responsive. My partner and I had a very small wedding and did not want too much focus on the formal photographs. Deeba was able to set up a perfect "first look" before the ceremony, got through the formal portraits/family photos quickly, and was able to quietly take photos of the ceremony and post-ceremony celebration, without being in the way at all. All of the photos are extremely "us." He was able to really capture the joy and laughter as well as get some beautiful intimate shots of us and took great photos of our families.

Melinda Rutan: Working with Liz was amazing- she made our 2020 Micro-Wedding feel like the full experience thing! We got so many wonderful images back that we will cherish forever. Every person who attended stated how wonderful an fun Liz was! She took the time to go through so many poses and backdrops and got pictures of anything and everything we wanted. Even though our wedding plans had to change due to the pandemic Liz was accommodating and make the day the most special it could be. She was easy going and so much fun to work with! Any couple would be LUCKY to have her for their special event photos. She made us laugh and captured so many beautiful moments. We received our photos back so fast and were able to share them with all of those who were not able to attend. When you hire Liz you will not have to worry about a single thing- she has you covered! Leanna Pomponio: I hired Liz for my DC wedding in August 2018. Liz is extremely responsive, professional, personable, and produces the highest quality photography. I had no idea how much planning goes into the photography portion of the wedding (timeline, shot list, backup weather plans, transportation timing, etc.) and I am so lucky to have had Liz help guide me through this process – she was always a phone call away whenever I needed to run something by her. Liz first did our engagement shoot –Liz was extremely accommodating and rescheduled multiple times to try and catch the DC cherry blossoms at their peak. I am so happy we did the engagement shoot with her first – this allowed us to get to know one another and get used to posing. I’d say it was most important for my now husband who isn’t one to want to take lots of photos – he loved Liz and I felt like he could have kept going with the pictures all day. Now on to the wedding day photos – I’m overwhelmed with which photos to choose for my wedding album because I love them all; she also provides every photo in both color and B&W. Liz made everyone feel comfortable – my family, friends, etc. during the formal shoots outside in front of the Capitol. Whenever I’d start to worry about timeline, Liz eased my nerves and told me that was not my concern and we are on track. Having Liz by my side all day ended up being more beneficial/comforting than my day of coordinator – she even helped us figure out how to bustle my dress when we were struggling. Liz was on a mission to make sure we got all of the photos I requested in my shot list and yet Liz & her assistant photographer were hardly noticeable during the ceremony and reception (which is the way it should be!). I was worried about the reception pictures since it was outside at night with dim lighting but the pictures came out clear and bright. Liz provides first look engagement and wedding photos within a few weeks after the shoot and then full photos a few weeks later – she was never late on any date she told me she would have the photos by. Her online album to view the photos is great and makes it easy to share with others and download the photos in different resolutions. If you are looking for a photographer that takes pride in their work, has a sense of humor, takes the time to get to know you and customize the experience to what is most important to you, and of course – produces stunning high quality photography at a reasonable price– then Liz is your girl.
Kaitlin Bigger: Liz is an incredible photographer, and wonderful person to have on your team as you plan your wedding. She was so supportive when our plans began to change due to the coronavirus pandemic. Liz is professional and prompt, and did an excellent job keeping our wedding on schedule and capturing every meaningful moment. Liz also took our engagement photos at the tidal basin during peak bloom of the cherry blossoms. She captured the natural beauty of that area so perfectly, and made us feel very comfortable in front of her camera. We will cherish those photos for many years to come. Liz was very responsive to all of our questions and helped us work through the logistics of our big day while keeping us calm and laughing. Kathy Brannigan: The nonprofit organization I work for had two major events in 2015, and we hired Jason Dixson to do the photography for both of them. Jason is a consummate professional. We had a long conversation before each event about the type of shots we wanted. Jason arrived early for each event and spent time with me again discussing the shots we wanted. He has a great eye and took wonderful candid shots at each event, as well as posed ones. He was able to give us some of the photos right away so that we could post them on social media from the event, which was crucial for us. We received the remaining photos a few days later. Besides being a professional, Jason is also a courteous and friendly guy. We enjoy working with him and will hire him again in 2016. Jason comes highly recommended.

Karen Retana: Ruben was our photographer for our engagement photoshoot this spring. We really wanted the popular Japanese Cherry Blossoms in our pictures. We were afraid there would be too many people and the pictures would not turn out great, but Ruben found the perfect spots and was very patient to wait for the right moments. We also took our dog with us, whom he managed to incorporate in some of the photos. Would hire him as our wedding photographer if we were getting married locally!
Chase Frazier: I proposed to my now wife in front of the memorial and had Ruben meet us there. It was a great experience, and we love a lot of the pictures he took. We had a lot of fun around the D.C. area taking pictures with him. It was a great value for the almost 400 pictures we took.

He is a press photographer as well as a wedding photographer, so this gave us confidence that he would be able to capture fleeting moments at the ceremony and reception that we have seen many other photographers miss at other weddings. Our impressions with Ruben were right on, he captured amazing moments that went by very quickly as well as spectacular wedding party shots that are not your typical staunch posed formal types (although I’m sure he would accommodate that if you want it). We met with Ruben prior to the wedding for an engagement photo shoot and it was well worth it. We all got to know each other a bit and establish a rapport and comfortableness that was really great during the wedding. He was also highly flexible with our requests and accommodating with time issues if things ran long here or there. The end product was simply amazing, the work he does truly takes talent and we are so happy with the pictures we ended up with that captured so many great moments we will cherish forever. Pamela Murphy: If you are looking for an amazing photographer that has a great eye for capturing your essence and spirit - Elliott is your expert. An absolute professional, he takes the time to listen to what you want, has great ideas, and partners with you during the entire process. In the end, he captured me in a way that previous photographers were unable to do so. His eye is innovative and unique, which stands out compared to the sometimes boring nature of DC headshot photography. I unequivocally recommend Elliott and frankly, think he is the best kept secret in DC. A true gem!
Kevin McNellis: I needed a set of professional headshots after switching jobs. I had never done a professional photography session before, and was not looking forward to the experience. But my experience with Elliott was amazing. He scheduled a pre-session interview to learn more about me and what I was hoping to get out of the session, and explained to me how to prepare. The actual session itself was really chill and enjoyable, and I ended up with four really great portraits that I can use both for work and gifts to family members.
