Valerie Damond: Last night twelve members of my family experienced a truly remarkable Spanish dinner. Chef Greg presented us with a very relaxing and utterly delicious meal. Every course was beautifully displayed and clearly constructed with the best ingredients. He and his helper served us and left the kitchen immaculate. If you would like to experience an expertly crafted Spanish cuisine, I highly recommend Chef Greg.

D H: I had my Cozymeal event today. I have never participated in an online cooking class before, and I must say it was great! My daughter and I took the class making the Chinese dumplings with Chef Li. Chef Li was great and while making the recipes really gave good information on the Chinese culture and the different types of substitutions to use in the event you are not able to get a specific ingredient. She made suggestions regarding kitchen utensils and made sure that all of us were on track with her during her instruction. My only difficulty was with the recipes being in grams and not in US measurements. It would be nice to have both listed. I live in a very rural area and this option of online cooking classes is such a welcome experience. I would definitely take another class!!

Benjamin Bowden: Really enjoyed having Chef Tiffany cook for my girlfriend and me. Great food, great conversation, and a generally excellent evening. One note: she arrived 45 minutes prior to the scheduled arrival time, when nobody was home. Her early arrival was a positive, as the meal took a few hours to prepare, but Cozymeal should communicate better with the clients about true arrival time. Bottom line: Tiffany provided an excellent French meal, all cooked from scratch, with fresh ingredients. Moreover, there were leftovers! Really looking forward to my next Cozymeal experience.

Alison Ponzi: We had an evening full of freshly made pasta, bruschetta, and bread pudding with Chef Tiffany. I bought a KitchenAid mixer last year with the pasta attachment, and she was open to teaching me how to use it. She also worked with us on our likes/dislikes allowing us to choose a different appetizer. All in all it was a successful night with great food, company, and conversation.

Grace Morrissey: I loved the class. Chef Li's technique was easy to understand. I just need to practice more. I am making the dumplings again this week. They were delicious. The cabbage salad won a big spot in my heart..., I will make it often. Looking forward to do another class with Chef Li

Steven Sacks: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueMy girlfriend and I took the Festival of Indian Flavor with Chef Manjiri. It was such a wonderful experience - she clearly explained the agenda for the class, told us about herself, explained all the ingredients, and then helped us through all four recipes with both laughter and fun. What a great time!

Theano Kampani: Really enjoyed having Chef Greg cook for my husband and me. Great food, and great conversation!We highly recommend Chef Greg and his Spanish dishes. The star of the menu was the dessert for us :)

Kathleen Norwood: This was a wonderful experience. Chef Gustavo was a delightful host and instructor He shared knife and preparation tips as well as the history of the food. The food was muy rico and we came away with many tips to make prep easier and food tastier for making a yummy paella as well as other dishes. Chef Gustavo created a welcoming, warm and relaxed evening. Thank you, Chef Gutavo!

Jeanne Liu: We took the Festival of Indian Flavors class with Chef Manjiri and it was wonderful! She explained everything and her recipe was fast and not intimidating. What we made was so delicious and I can't wait to try out one of her other classes. Do not hesitate to book one of Chef Manjiri's classes!

Niki Holmes: We had an amazing experience with Chef Judith. Her recipes were easy; we had great company; and the Chef taught us some very useful techniques. --Plus--The food tasted so delicious!

Maymay Ditnoy: The experience was exceptional. We visited Xiquet for an early Valentine's Day celebration and were lucky to get a seat next to the open kitchen. The menu and ingredient selections were outstanding. Staffs were attentive and provided a beautiful experience for the both of us. For a special occasion, or not, I would recommend trying this place out. Definitely deserved the Michelin star they were awarded with. We selected the 14 course meal and wine pairing for one ($850 including gratuity). A few improvements: music and attention to detail. Overall, Xiquet is one of the best in the area. If you are looking for a fine dining experience for your loved one or for yourself, this is the spot.

Clayton Russell: Can you give more than 5-stars?? Wow - my wife and I finally had a night out and we chose the right place. Every detail (and they pay attention to ALL of them) was so eloquent and tailored. The service is impeccable. The food divine. The wine pairing perfection. The atmosphere is like nowhere I’ve ever been. Danny feels more like a gracious host than a world renowned chef. We simply loved this experience and can’t wait to return.

Leslie Matista: I was lucky enough to snag a last minute reservation at Xiquet during an impromptu trip to DC and I was blow away! I’ve stopped in at Slate (the bar downstairs) a couple times for drinks and small plates and it is always fabulous but this was my first time doing the whole experience and it was beyond memorable. I love the concept of progression throughout the restaurant as part of the experience! Every dish was delicious and unique, and the knowledge of the staff really added to the experience. It’s hard to choose a favorite composition but I found the flavor and presentation of the white asparagus and caviar to be especially memorable. Our entire table raved about the paella and the wine pairings as well. I really enjoyed the touch of moving to the lounge for desserts and coffee/after dinner drinks with the chef. Overall One of the best meals and most memorable dining experiences I’ve had!

Claire Lyons: Unforgettable experience celebrating my birthday at Xiquet! Chef’s take the Valencian stew, All I Pebre, was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Cristina Clark: Horrendous!!! We order a thanksgiving meal for ten and when we got home with the order had to go running to the store and buy more food. Super small portions the pork full of fat and bones, the turkey was ok. The stuffing and gravy was good

My wife and I loved our experience and can’t thank the chefs and the service staff for making our night a memorable one.

Rishi Saxena: Dining at Xiquet is a true experience: starting at the bar and then moving between levels, you'll feel like you're having a meal at the home of someone who cares about you having the best experience. The service was careful and attentive. The food was outstanding, and - I mean this sincerely - among the best in the DC area. We appreciated the accommodation of a full vegetarian tasting menu; nothing felt out of place, rather the dishes were beautiful on their own. The wine pairings were also stunning - shout out to the somm! We loved getting to try especially unique Spanish wines. We're looking forward to coming back, and hopefully the addition of more stars! All the praise is truly deserved.

Queli: After being disappointed with DC food, we ran into this gem. Not only was food incredibly delicious, the presentation was amazing and portions were great, and the service was phenomenal. Shoutout to Edgar for bringing me a real spicy spice to accompany my delicious food. He understood what Mexicans need :) Thank you to all the Taberna team for being amazing ! PS- I recommend paella and, sausage and blood sausage tapas !

Eduardo Sevilla: Old school D.C. restaurant, classic service and ambiance serving fine Spanish cuisine that no longer overwhelms you but will satisfy your Iberian peninsula cravings. Tapas for dinner is the way to go, variety and well executed, albeit small portions. Outstanding wine list, only the very best varietals from all the growing regions in Spain. Grilled Bronzino, Chilean sea bass and grouper specials are highlights. Expensive paella options not my favorite.

Rachel U: Reservations for Saturday night, we were warmly greeted and seated. Unfortunately due to the busy night, we were only able to order 1 kind of paella for at least 2 people. So we ordered the lamb and cod. Both were yummy. The squid ink sticky rice was so fun. We ended with complimentary pastries. Live band and dancer were the cherry on top! Such a great experience, we will be back.

David Arrimadas: Amazing restaurant. It is a piece of Spain in Washington. The quality of the food is very high same as the professionalism of all the staff. We really felt at home. It was a great experience for our Spanish family that after five months in US is really missing our country delights. Highly recommended if you want to have a good time and food!

Rob A.: We gave this place a try for Restaurant Week. Wonderful decor, complimentary parking in the garage right across the street (after 4PM weekdays and all day on weekends), the food was awesome and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We had the seafood paella and it was excellent. The other dishes coming out of the kitchen looked just as good, and I'm sure they were! Only negative was the fact that my wife and I had to order the same paella since they're made for two. I don't really understand this. What happens if you are dining alone? I don't know.

Joshua Russell: Classic DC restaurant that specializes in Spanish cuisine. We were able to get reservations for Sunday night to celebrate a birthday. At time of reservation I mentioned it was birthday celebration. When we arrived, we were greeted quickly and sat. They had a nice, cozy table reserved with a very nice Happy Birthday card written for our special guest! We started out with tortilla de patata, friend manchengo cheese with raspberry sauce and the cherry & mango gazpacho. Everything was superb, the favorite was the cheese with the raspberry sauce. We ordered a chicken and seafood paella to split with everyone. It was spot on with both the texture and taste one would expect from paella. The seafood that came with it were clams, mussels and shrimp. For dessert we ordered the churros with chocolate and the warm cheesecake. Not were very good and just the right size. We were surprised yet again with a very special Happy Birthday plate written in chocolate with some berries, chocolate and cookies. Very good and will look forward to coming back here again soon.

Mark Blanchard: Spain meets Dorothy Draper on the decor, pretty awesome. Food was great, serrano leg sitting in front of you getting sliced. Sadly we got a piece of bone with the serrano. The food was good, and so was the service. We enjoyed the flamenco dance and music around 830pm.

Morgan Niu: I was there for DC restaurant week. They have special menu for us. Food is good but I am a little disappointed. Service is excellent. Live music and dance are impressive. I would like to talk more about the taste of food. I had tuna guacamole tartare, tastes like poke bowl. My husband had blood sausage. Seafood paella is good. Usually it is salty in other restaurant, but not here. However it looks messy in the plate. I shared this paella with my friend. But server didn’t share it equally in out plate. I have more in my plate, it is little awkward. Dessert is caramel flan. Caramel sauce is way too strong. My husband gave it a try, he agreed with me. One drop of the caramel sauce could stay in your mouth for 5 mins. By the end of the dinner. I forget all the taste from previous dish. Only the taste of caramel in my mouth and my brain

Lynelle Nicole: The owners at DCanter Wine Boutique in Capitol Hill recommended this place. It did not disappoint. We had papas bravas, garlic shrimp, and the mixed paella with a bunch of wine. The happy hour section was lively and full of people. The section we were in was quiet and secluded; perfect for a business dinner or confidential conversation. I’d love to come back when they have live music.

Aleyda Villavicencio: We came across this place entirely by luck, but having been in Spain and loving Spanish food like we do, this place didn’t disappoint, and we felt really confident the food had to be good when we walked in and realized many tables were taken by Spanish guests. If you’re in town you have to stop here. Plus they have a lunch menu that’s very affordable!

Genesis Marrero: I was truly impressed with this dining experience. We flew to DC for my birthday week and had my birthday dinner here. Luis served us and he was definitely one of the best servers we have ever had wait on us (and we are huge foodies so that is saying something). He was so attentive and just knew exactly how to guide the dining experience based on what the guests is wanting out of their night whether they know specifically or not. We let him take the wheel with all of the knowledgeable recommendations and we were so happy from start to finish. We came back for our last meal in DC and again, Amber served us, and again we were not disappointed. She was so sweet and also had wonderful recommendations and made sure all of our needs were met before we said goodbye and hopped on a flight. Luckily Luis was also there and he remembered us which made us happy because he was also so memorable for us. He was so nice and sent us our new favorite drink that he enlightened us to - the carajillo. I don’t think you could go wrong with a single thing on this menu. The rest of the staff was also very efficient and everything just seemed to flow so smoothly with the teamwork here. I can’t wait to go back someday!

R: This was my first time going to Del Mar and the food was phenomenal! We went as a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday. It was my first time trying octopus and it was really good. The parking in the garage was $45 since I stay for 4+ hours which was a downside for the night so it might be better to find street parking.

Dondré: I rented an igloo and I took my family here for my Mother's birthday and my experience was incredible. The bubbles aka the igloos are nice and incredibly warm. The service is five stars absolutely fantastic, the waiter was nice and patient explaining the family style ordering style. The whole restaurant is extremely nice and well decorated it's like a huge mansion. Lastly this is not a cheap restaurant by any means, but the experience is worth it.

Jack Jiang: It's a bit pricy, but the food and service are worth the penny you spent! I love how the chef perfectly blends flavors together (like pepper+crab+uni sauce). The Sangria Roja cocktail is also a highlight, mixing the richness of wine and the sweet/sour touch of fruits/flowers - one of the best cocktails I've had in a while! Would recommend to everyone

J. Ivy Smith: Food was AMAZING! This should get. Michelin Star. There paella is the best I have had. I want to say there paella and cheesecake is similar to José Andre. Service was excellent and our waiter reminded us of actor John Mulaney. I def recommend this place and def Michelin Star worthy.

Black Star Dust: Absolutely stunning place. Great service. Top tier experience. Everything was a ten. The Seafood Paella is delicious. Highly recommend that dish. It comes in different sizes for sharing. It was my bday so they brought out gratis champagne and this cheesecake that was literally the one of the most delicious desserts to grace the planet. Don’t even get me started on the churros! Amazing! I also did come in with a VIP who goes there regularly so that surely may have enhanced the experience to 10 stars!!

Jo Han: If you are looking for high quality food and drinks then this is the place to be. I love their octopus and eggplants with drinks. There are so many selections but if you want to eat a lot then I'll go for paella. If you are going for drinks and chat then small plates are awesome and very flavorful. We come here multiple times when we come near here and never had bad experiences. Service is great too. So when you are at wharf then come by and try this place =)

Eli Samuel Bermudez: Beautiful restaurant, beautiful location and delicious food. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because is very expensive. Maybe ridiculously expensive for the food. Still a great experience for me and my wife for our anniversary !

Alya's Aura: The food was SO delicious and of course the service was top notch. Our waiter (I believe his name is Michael) was so nice and helpful and made some great recommendations. I definitely suggest leaving space for dessert because their little dulce de leche dark chocolate cakes with the horchata ice cream was beyond amazing! The perfect end to a great meal 👌🏾

Daisy Gutierrez: Food was good. Not great but good. The service was great! This wine was my fave. A little overpriced only because I feel at those prices the food should taste better. They have a great selection though! I had the seafood paella it lacked flavor. My friend had some green rice thing, neither of us raved about our main courses. The patatas bravas are good but could use more of the brava sauce.

Dallaire Family: The Sangria Hour is well worth it, as the cocktails and tapas are well priced. Tapas portions are large and shareable among friends that want to sample a few dishes. Classic flavours and quality you can count on. Dishes are not terribly creative, but the service is quick with minimalist communication.

Ciria Gastélum: Everything about this place screams quality. Food, location, drinks, service and workers. Delightful experience! One of my favorite places. Unbelievable paella! Must try! My husband & I were super happy We found Jaleo in our visit to DC.

Hazel Schifferle: I brought my family here to celebrate my recent birthday. We arrived late in the afternoon and got a great table by the window. They were so kind to my kids and made us all feel welcomed. Our server recommended some things the kids would enjoy and he was right. My husband and I got Jose’s Way and tried all sorts of dishes. We loved them all!

Katie Boldizar: We ordered family style here and easily tried 10 different menu items. Everything was incredible! This will become a staple for me on future DC visits. I wish I would've taken more pictures but we were busy eating. The calamari was probably my favorite dish!

Merissa Pemberton: So glad we tried this restaurant out! Wow!! Tania Fernanda G was such a stellar waitress! She was attentive and was really patient with walking us through the menu. Her professionalism and constant smile on her face was just the kind of dinner atmosphere we were looking for. She also made sure to pace our meal just right and every single dish we ordered was beyond good. There were multiple items I don’t think we would have had the guts to try if it weren’t for her. She deserves both the recognition and raise that is now clearly apparent from our experience. Thank you again Fernanda!!

Vance Van Horn: Tables inside were so close together that you were intimate with your neighbor. Sit outside; tables and service was great.

Robert Cox: Came with my girlfriend to Jaleo and it was really good. First time to a restaurant like this Eduardo enhanced this experience by providing us great recommendations and his great personality. With the great food, great ambiance, and great service from Eduardo, I give this place 5 stars for sure.

michael leathers: Outstanding food and serving staff. Had the Apple and Fennel Salad, the Mini Pork Burger, the Bacon-Wrapped Dates, Goat Cheese Stuffed Peppers and the Cod. Fritters with the Sweet Bay Gin cocktail to wash it down. Everything was absolutely out of this world although the Cod Fritter did not impress me all that much. The Apple Fennel Salad was one of the best salads I ever had in my life- although it looks bland, it is acting packed with sweet, tart, savory and acidic flavors. Only knock I have for this establishment is the hosting/seating staff who didn't do the best job handling a crowd full of line cutters trying to get a seat. Would definitely go back though!
