DJ Maskell - Nightclub & Wedding DJ: what do users think?

Ting Chen: Looking for a DJ is one of the hardest things you can do when planning a wedding, but if you like to party, Mark is the one you’re looking for. Specifically, if you want a DJ that knows how to read the vibes of the room, transitioning from top 40s to your preference of EDM, Mark is a master in his craft. While we were planning our wedding, I wasn’t sure what information I needed to provide him in regards to music taste, but he walked us through the entire process and more. Once he got a sense of my taste in music and the vibes I wanted, he was able to suggest the songs for each event before I could tell him. Mark went above and beyond his role as a DJ, helping us iron out all the small details and questions to ask our venue. We did most of the planning ourselves, but Mark stepped in as a wedding advisor, asking us questions we didn’t even think about. At the wedding we had a blast and people kept coming to us to ask about who our DJ was and how the music was on point. If I had to plan another event, I would pick Mark in a heartbeat. He was a blast to work with and was the greatest support we could have had by our side throughout the wedding

Haley Crimmins: Mark has phenomenal DJ and lighting skills and he helped to make our wedding the party of our dreams! His knowledge of the wedding industry was absolutely invaluable throughout the entire planning process. He thought of everything, down to microphone set up for our officiant and timing our music to the very second. He also went above and beyond by cutting up our father/daughter dance song to shorten it a bit and it came out perfect! Thank you SO much, Mark!

Olivia Mackey: Mark is awesome!!! His experience is what drew me to him initially, but his personality when I met him is what sealed the deal! He’s professional, but loads of fun! He helped us to make sure that all of our music and organizational needs were met, and made it super easy to navigate. The day of, he nailed it! He controlled the timeline of the event as an MC, worked the crowd and had the best music playing based on our requests! He really works to personalize his playlist to what you want, while also working in his own professional touches! I cannot recommend him enough!!

Unknown Error: Where do i begin... Probably the beginning of us planning the wedding. DJ Maskell is more than a DJ, he is a true MC (master of ceremony). Mark brings tons of experience to couples making organizing all the vendors way easier. He helped us by getting a spreadsheet schedule to all the vendors and everyone was on the same page. All of our complicated logistics went well thanks to Mark. This is all before the actual reception too. Getting to the Ceremony and reception, Mark provides all of his own top notch equipment able to do amazing things. He has a fully set up lighting display that helped transform our reception venue into that rivaling DC Clubs. The mixing was fantastic, the announcing was great. To my surprise i look up and hes showing one of the kids showing him all the cool mixing equipment. Really great experience. DJ Maskell was the best value BY FAR of any of our vendors! Thanks Mark, we could not have made this possible without you! -Chris Dell (groom)

Molly Brinson: Mark was our SAVIOR for our wedding. We did not have a planner, coordinator, and quite frankly had no idea what we were doing. Our best decision was hiring him because he helped us get our s*** together which allowed us to have such a smooth and stress free day. It could not have gone more perfect and we owe that to him! Thank you Mark!!

Decades DC: what do users think?

Alex Vlad: I’ve been coming to this spot for years now, and it never fails to deliver that one-of- a kind retro timeless experience. The floors are all unique with their own theme— from 2000s to 90s to hip-hop/ and an EDM rooftop, music and DJs are always on point, and the staff and security are always very friendly and helpful. The venue is clean and hand sanitizer stations are offered; the staff wears masks, and considering we are in hard times with COVID im happy I can still enjoy clubbing, and a night out with friends safely. Overall, I would highly recommend Decades to anyone as its gives you a little bit of everything and more!

Kim & Ben: We were a little nervous to visit decades after reading the reviews, but we ended up going for a bit to celebrate a friend’s birthday and actually had a great time! The line to enter was long, but moved quickly. They did a thorough check point where they pat you down, check bags and check jacket pockets. You get carded at the door and have to pay a $20 cover if you don’t have a VIP pass. We all got the free VIP pass off their website and, so we didn’t have to pay the cover fee. Once inside, you can visit each floor of the club to get a different music experience. The top floor was the most crowded, and it was very hot, but our group still had a good time dancing. One of the middle floors (I think it was the 90’s floor) was less crowded, and you could feel the air conditioning, so we stayed there most of the time. Our friends said the bartenders were nice, and we didn’t have any negative experiences with bouncers either. We had a ton of fun at Decades and would love to visit again sometime! If you haven’t been, I’d stop by and give it a try!

Itzel Trejo: I used to love this place but friends and I went to a day party after Sunday brunch and saw a rat right on the rooftop bar. We notified staff and they did not care. We decided to leave because the rat was right next to the bottles so we felt uncomfortable getting drinks. Staff response was that we live in a city and rats are everywhere and although I understand there’s still expectations when it comes to rats near what costumers consume. I would have expected a better costumer service response. Go at your own risk.

Niyah Baptiste: I would definitely recommend, me and my sisters celebrated our birthday here and it was on point!! Music was amazing drinks were decent priced. I’d definitely suggest getting there early so you don’t get caught in the rush of people tryna get to the “good”floors. It was definitely the vibe 10/10 totally going back.

Ali Hamza Dar: I have the worst experience in this club. First we almost spend over 1500 on Thursday night on my friend birthday. Towards the end of it I wanted to use the bathroom and this one security guy did not let me use the bathroom. After I insist I really need to use it badly than he told me that if I give him 100 dollar and the other security guy 100 then he will let me use the bathroom. What a worst service is that. I ask him who is the owner of this place let me speak to him and he refuses me and told me get out of here. Is this how you treat with the customer. It was so terrible. There many other people standing and watching this incident.

Deanna Joan: You’ll have a good time, but be prepared to spend a lot of money! $20 cover charge and pricey drinks. But it’s spacious and clean, it doesn’t get too crowded, and they play some GREAT throwback music. Pick your battles!

Steven Fernando: Overpriced and crowded. Rude staff. Was being charged $14 for Coronas and other cheap beer pre covid, can only imagine what it’s like now. Paying that much for drinks youd atleast expect to be treated with some respect

Drew Inge: If you’re an LGBTQ person do NOT come here. First of all, aside from the fact that this bar is not lgbt friendly it’s absolutely disgusting. The first floor of decades smells like a portopotty. The drinks are ridiculously overpriced compared to any other comparable “club” in DC. The cover is $20 which would be fine if it had any redeemable qualities worth the cover. As far as it being not LGBTQ friendly, the staff is not trained on how to handle LGBTQ people, the bathrooms are labeled All Gender but they have staff guarding them(even though they are single stall) allowing only females into one and “men”(those they deem visible men) into the room with only urinals available(on the rooftop) My personal experience on the rooftop after entering the “all gender” restroom was I was pulled out by the staff and then told I was not allowed to use that facility and I could enter the mens room because that room was for women only. I politely informed them I did not want to use the room with the urinals and the straight men and was then yelled at by security and told that I had no choice. IF YOU ADVERTISE ALL GENDER RESTROOMS THEN YOU STAND BY THAT STATEMENT. Will not return after this. I’ve visited numerous times and had multiple bad experiences but returned because I have so many straight friends who visit and want to experience different decades of music. If you want to experience the cliche of every decade and it be absolutely horrible then by all means please visit Decades DC but I’d spend my money at other establishments that cater to their clients much better; lgbtq or not.

Sophie Wophie: Me and my friends used to love to come to decades but each time we get some sort of mistreatment. The guards are rude and RACIST. One time one of the guard told us ‘this ain’t your s**t, when we try to get to our VIP table. Ever time we go there it feels like they assume just because we’re black we can’t afford VIP. I’m tired of this racist treatment, I will take my money somewhere where it’s appreciated.

Exclusively Entertainment: what do users think?

Nasrin Pourkiani: DJ Kia is the best! If anyone in the circle of my family or friends needs a DJ for a wedding ceremony/party , I would recommend Exclusively Entertainment without a doubt. Everything was so easy and smooth prewedding when planning, and they executed everything beautifully on the wedding night. My next party, they will be in! I cannot appreciate them enough for the memorable night they made for us. The dance floor was never empty other than the dinner time.

Kion Goharian: EE provided the DJ service for our wedding and did an amazing job! Can’t recommend DJ Saam enough… had multiple people tell my wife and I after the wedding how much they loved the music. EE was also accommodating with their policies during some of the covid induced challenges we had. Highly recommend!

Jessica Dickman: We loved working with your team for our event and DJ Ssam was perfect for the overall event and experience. The client was so happy and we really enjoyed working with your team and hope we can work together again in the future.

Fola Akintomide: I want to say a very big thank you to Exclusively Entertainment for a job well done and for the services provided during my birthday party on Friday October 12, 2018. I really appreciate the excellent customer service, prompt response and follow up provided by the team right from the first day I made my inquiry, through out the process to execution and delivery. Exclusively Entertainment paid attention to all the details and was willing to work with me to ensure I had a lovely event. The technicians who came to set up arrived on time, very professional and friendly. Plus, set-up was completed in a timely manner. The up-lighting was beautiful, the intelligent lights added a touch of elegance to the ballroom, the monogram projection was simply perfect. Wow! the ballroom was so beautiful and everything well coordinated. My guests had a great experience and lasting impression about the party. I really look forward to doing more business with your team. Thank you so much for working with me all the day way. I am highly satisfied with the services provided and I give the Exclusively Entertainment team a Five Star rating for a job well done!

Fareed Aref: We worked with several vendors for our wedding and one really stood high and tall. Exclusively Entertainment was a real joy to work both in getting prepped for the wedding , but also during the wedding. Lighting and entertainment were both fantastic. Highly, highly recommend EE for anyone looking to work with a professional, experienced company who truly cares about the outcome of their service and its impact on the people they touch.

Soundcheck: what do users think?

Giles Peng: I visited this club recently to hear some DJs I hadn’t heard live yet. Overall, it was a fun experience with a friendly crowd and very danceable music. I got there early, but the line to get in starts getting long between an hour or two after the club opens. The crowd was trendy and more than a few club-goers were quite good dancers. I’m sure to visit this club again for the intimate dance floor, nice selection of drinks, and the DJs spinning music that kept the crowd going on a fairly high fidelity sound system.

Katrina Marie: Overall experience was 8/10. DJ was pretty good. Staff was RUDE all over. (Edit): and apparently this is common after reading other’s experiences - especially women. Staff -10 👎🏽 I have worked for other Live Nation venues and have been to other Live Nation venues in other major cities and this one was the worst. It’s sucks how rude employees can be the only negative thing - it takes away from an overall great experience. But cheap tickets and decent show

Rob Garcia: 10/10 hands down. This place rocks and is a venue staple in DC. Headliners come through weekly. Staff are super professional. Lighting and sound are off the charts good.

Alice Yoon: One of the security guys outside was so rude and got me confused w another asian girl (ignorant). I asked to stand next to the heaters outside last night for a minute before my uber arrived and he said “no you put yourself in this position so you can freeze.” I was really confused as to what I did but he kept saying I was “banned from echostage(?)” and that i had “snuck into the venue” somehow. Definitely got me mixed up with some other asian girl, and didn’t take my word for it when I told him I had never seen him before in my life. Extremely rude and ruined my night

Anjie: Meh, not worth a $30 cover. Outside staff and bathroom attendant were nice, professional. Bartenders slow and rude. They definitely pick who they want to serve and when. They look right past you as you are standing there and help someone who just walks up. Not sure if they are friends or regulars, but if you want tips or to stay open, you should treat newcomers just as good. Not to mention, with the exception of the staff, and MAYBE 10 guests, nobody was wearing a mask. A socially responsible club would enforce this mandate.

Abby Johnston: Terrible experience, specifically with the outside security- one of the bouncers was incredibly rude to me. The music they were playing inside was just not good. The place was also half empty and overall boring. Not at all worth the 30 minute line and overpriced ticket to get in.

Greg Czechowicz: I am giving 2 stars, but if it wasnt for the vaccine cards fiasco I would give it 5 stars. This was an vaccine card mandated show, but NO ONE asked for our vaccine cards. I even wanted to show but they said its ok, no need. If the goal is to keep people safe, why let everyone in if you say there is a vaccine mandate? Now on to the positives, great sound, but a bit too loud. Definitely need ear plugs. Drinks well priced, security kept an eye out for drunks and fights and did a great job.

DC9 Nightclub: what do users think?

John T: This dive bar is awesome! In the summer you can relax on the 3rd fl rooftop and laugh at everyone waiting in line for the "popular" bar across the street. In the winter they have small indi bands on the second floor. Great concert space. Staff has seen it all so be respectful!

Katelyn Stenger: Intimate venue and very friendly staff. I would highly recommend if you can! The tickets were shockingly affordable and the folks at the front actually checked vaccination and ID. Much appreciated.

Jessica Strahin: Went there for a small intimate concert. Loved the venue and the staff!!

Robert Cardoni: Great intimate show space to see smaller up and coming bands ... only hold about 150 people - so sold out shows are tight. Staff is super friendly. Beer is cold. Sound is good. What more could a music fan ask for Check set times though. Sometime shows are early with dance parties afterwards ...

Omny Miranda Martone: I love DC9. We go here regularly. The bottom floor is a typical indoor bar, the second floor is for dancing, and the top floor is a rooftop bar. Definitely recommend.

Stacey Brooks: Little but intimate. TTNG played twice here and it was a laid back experience. Bar on every level, food always smells great, bands perform on the second level without it being over crowded! Great place to rock!

Joe Nicol: always a good time, the best unofficial gay bar in DC — great acts, cool space

Chris B: 150 person capacity venue means you can get up close to the bands but shows usually end pretty early and the beer list is not impressive by any means. The food is pretty good tho, and be sure to get their garlic fries as a side to whatever you order.

Daniel Cox: Great place for live music. It is a really small and intimate venue which makes for a much better experience. Bouncer was really nice, drinks are averagely priced, and overall a good experience. Would come to a show here again.

Bliss Nightclub: what do users think?

Jessica Frey: I went here once for a dababy performance. The line was long but it moved pretty fast. The thing that upset me and my friends is that they had a “no sneakers policy” and one of my girls who’s a stud was wearing AF1s. She had to pay $20 extra for the sneakers but we saw plenty of men wearing sneakers who didn’t pay. We had to use cash too so it felt like the girls working the door were just trying to finesse. It was super crowded and hot. Dababy didn’t even show up until 2:30 am (club closes at 3) and I could barely hear him

Mashona Campbell: so we had a girls trip and ended up there not only did we pay $60 a person to get in and someone told us it should have been $40 anyways want to use the bathroom all the bathroom were NASTY PAPER IN ALL TOILETS I WAS THERE FOR 4 HOURS AND COULD NOT USE THEM AT ALL YOU WOULD THINK SOMEONE WOULD HAVE CLEANED THE AGAIN BUT NO ONE DID I WOULD NO RECOMMEND CLUB TO ANYONE. NOW THE ONLY PERSON THAT WAS GOOD WAS THE GUY THAT WAS DOING THE 360 THING HE WAS NICE PERIOD! OTHER THEN THAT IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLUB!!!!!!!

Edou: Avoid ❌coming HERE! Worst club experience in D.C. Me and my friends bought tickets online and when we went there they told us the bliss club is divided into 3 part and we were supposed to go to the All black African party which is same Bliss club, when we went in the back they told us it the wrong ticket but it wasn’t the wrong ticket because the Bliss club was clearly written there, so went to the front and when we went in the front they told us it the wrong ticket we should PAID EXTRA $20. We waited in the cold N end up pay $120 additional charge to enter the club. This people are SCAM, Don’t go there. NO MATTER WHAT U DO THEY WILL FIND REASONS TO MAKE U PAY MORE MONEY❌

Curtis Gardner: K- Michelle was trash on 1-1-22Did more talking then singing. Bartenders was on point 5 stars for them. Overall the club was still fire with the bad performance from What’s her name.😂😂😂

Ty Williams: Came from NYC to see a performance and visit some friends in the area. Arrived at the venue and the line wasn’t moving at all. Mind you, we bought our tickets online weeks prior. When we got inside it was maybe 50 people inside. Da hell! Also, after finally get to the front, we were told it’s an additional $40 because we had on timberland boots. I informed them we’re not from here and didn’t know there was a “no boot” policy. She then said she’ll charge us $20. We just said screw it and paid it since we came from out of town. This place is a joke. Several artists that I would have loved to seen have been here, but I’m never going back. Too many games. Long lines for no reason. Kid sized cups drinking cups — literally paid $20 for a jack and ginger. People with tables weren’t even happy from what I could see. One girl said their glasses were dirty and it took over an hour to get a bottle and the server never came back. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Go somewhere else.

Big Sexy: There was no line and me and my 14 friends were seated immediately!! Definitely go there is NO WAIT!! And dont get me started on the cocktails MMmmmMMMmm!!

Nick Andrews: This place should be shut down after propping up a dead body on stage for a funeral. If they didn’t know it was going to happen then shame on management.

Samantha Kreindler: We so enjoyed working with this team! Chrome and the whole team kept everyone on the dance floor all night long with games, great music and tons of fun. We also had a photo booth that produced some awesome photos and lounge furniture that enhanced the decor and everyone enjoyed. Highly recommend this group!

Aaron Scolnick: NYX team did amazing work making our son’s Bar Mitzvah party one to remember for a lifetime. Howie, Rachi, Tori, Jen, Paul, Reminder, Chris, and Paul knocked it out of the park! The dance floor was full all night! I will be using them in the future for our other son’s Bar Mitzvah!

Mara Senn: This is the second Bar Mitzvah we have done with NYX Entertainment. The second one was just as good as the first. Everything was seamlessly set up and taken down, the DJ and MC were great and the special touches, like uplighting, made the event. We would definitely hire them a third time!

Sharon Russell: Mc Chris was absolutely phenomenal! I can speak enough about his professionalism and impeccable organizational skills …… amazing! I planned a last minute 13 th birthday that Nyx was able to put together expeditiously with lots of excitement, fun and fabulous mini fireworks that was a blast! The event was well coordinated with the superb team from Nyx. I would without reservation highly recommend them !!! Chris you wer the bomb!!

Club Timehri: what do users think?

K A: My first experience at Club Timehri was a good one. It’s a totally different vibe for me. But I must say the music was so good that I couldn’t help but dance. Overall, I had a great time. First time here and I shall definitely revisit. I highly recommend if you want to have a feel of the Caribbean night life! Good Service ✅ Good Vibes ✅ Very Friendly And Courteous Staff✅ 🚻Restroom

Green Roses: I visited becoz of the good reviews. True, its wonderful. Nice vibe. Music was more soca. I hope more reagge can be played since Timehri is the home of Reagge. The bartenders were grooving like no joke. They were fast in getting the drink orders. The crowd was on fire-grooving like oh my. Music was kainda too loud for me, so I stepped away from the main floor. Thumps up. Well done Timehri. Good job. I will return with more pple.

Samuel Ondieki: The music was good, the bartenders, security and owners were very nice and professional. Would most def visit again and recommend to any looking to have a lit night in DC

Celine Aka-Koffi: Visiting DC from New York, we came to Club Timehri two nights in a row. The Carribean music selection is so good. Drinks are good as well. There is a $10 cash only cover charge per person to get in.

Shaneka Boothe: The owner and the workers here are wonderful omg I enjoyed it so much I came here two nights back to back they took real good care of us from the dj to the bartender to the owner they made sure we enjoyed our night and made sure we was safe Johnny your great your a real humble and we appreciate you thank you and your employees for the wonderful care and customer services you guys provided Washington DC doesn’t owe us anything thanks to you and your wonderful employees #yournewfloridafriends

Imani Thibou: My experience is usually great here but on NYE I went and the music was way too loud, my ears were ringing for days afterwards. With it being such a small space it made the experience unenjoyable

Pharaoh Jonez: Let me tell you buddy. I was out one night bored and stumbled on this place. I got so drunk here that I ended up having the best time of my adult life. They are EXTREMELY good at mixing drinks. I mean to the point where my Long Island tasted like a sweet tea but hit like 5 shots of Henny. The bar tenders are hilarious, and it wasn’t the liquor laughing. They legit must be trained in comedy. Lastly some fine woman bit me on my back and I think I found true that night. But overall this place is a definite YES in my book.

Flash: what do users think?

Michael Jaffee: Unlike any venue in DC and unlike majority of lounge style intimate clubs you’ve been to in the US. The music is incredibly unique for DC as they play deep house, tech, tech house, and other amazing sub-genres and the initiate dark setting with the [flash]ing lights is like nowhere you’ve ever been. It’s an absolute must if you’ve never been or are visiting DC and are trying to go vibe/dance the night away.

Aránzazu Ascunce: State of the art with a massive function one sound system. Multiple levels. Amazing lights, service, hospitality, staff. Global deejays regularly. Shout out to the booking agent. Come as you are. Not pretentious. The only rule is no flash at Flash. Highly recommend it to get your dance on and a pulse on the global underground. See you soon!

Ayesha SH: This is a hardcore EDM club. They have the rooftop, second floor and ground floor. The night I was there, all three areas had different DJ’s. You have to buy tickets on the website to get it - reasonably priced. Very decent crowd. The manager is Boris and he is awesome! Please visit and you will love it.

Denonte McKinney: I hope management reads this because coming to Flash was absolutely the worst experience ever. First of all, they made us stand outside in the drizzling rain until nearly 1:30am because we didn’t purchase a ticket online. The security guards rationale was, “Because of Covid we have to monitor the number of people coming in.” This does not make sense because masks are NOT required for admission, people with tickets are able to walk in without proof of vaccination, and they let everyone in anyways. Making a crowd of paying customers wait 1-2 hours for admission into a BAR is ridiculous. Also, they only have a CASH admission. In 2022, I need for this venue to upgrade and get a card reader, outside ATM, or cash app because the ATMs in the area are closed after 5pm. Yes, the bank ATMs (BOA & WF) close their doors at 5pm. You have to walk BLOCKS to grab cash and to come back. Lastly, the security guards are rude. They were shouting out, “If you have a tickets you can come right to the front, and if you don’t then IDK what to tell you” to the 50+ people waiting in line in the drizzling rain, this was inconsiderate & inappropriate. Mind you the security guards at the entrance are eating pizza, smoking cigarettes, and completely disregarding the crowd. My suggestions for management are: 1. Allow ALL paying customers admission into the venue. Do NOT make them wait in the drizzling rain for 1-2 hours when there are BARELY people going inside with a ticket. 2. Let customers pay via CashApp OR allow paying customers to use their cards/Apple Pay to purchase tickets at the door. It’s 2021. 3. Do not use Covid as an excuse to not allow people in when you’re going to let them in regardless. 4. Hire new security guards. I am very disappointed in this venue. Hopefully by next week they’ll at least have CashApp.

Charles P.: I love this place but the girl working the ticket booth at about 10:45 on 3/25 couldn’t believe that I didn’t realize it was an offsite ticket for Pot-Pan. She was pretty rude. I get being worn down by the end of the night, but to be in such a way 45 minutes into her shift was impressive. Or depressive? Muuuuust be rough. Not for her. But for the people who have to work with her.

Louis V: Great place to go out and dance. I met a lot of nice people and had a lot of fun. Music was awesome, drink was excellent and not so expansive.

Fern M: During this pandemic time, Flash has turn its rooftop space to a sit down place for Electronic music lover. Reservation is required for seats with 90 mins time limited. Same regulation of wearing mask, remain seated etc. are applied. Sandwiches menu are added along with drink menu. It seems like drinks were customized for fall season, we tried all the cocktails on the menu but only 2 we like( don’t remember the name.) It was ok, we were happy to help support the place and at the end of the night, we ordered our favorite drinks out of menu instead. The staff are super nice and attentive, ask them question regarding to the venue if you want to know more. The merchandise downstairs is for purchase helping support the place. Ask staff for the website or if you have problem access it like I did, they accept cash. They said they might open for brunch with live DJ on set. If we all keep supporting this business, I’m sure we will get to have one of the coolest brunch place in DC soon. Review as of 09/2020

Nicholas Caudill: Maybe it’s my fault for showing up too late, but if the doors open at 10PM and the headliner is already gone by midnight that isn’t a real party. Cool building though

Ultrabar: what do users think?

Angela Mendoza: I went to ultra bar recently and had a much better experience than before COVID. This club has really stepped it up, it’s not over crowded by 18+ and the music has an actually updated set. I love that I can choose the music I want to hear based on the floor. Be sure to visit them all to get the full experience and if you want a really good time you might as well get a table, they have decent bottle pricing for the area. Bottle girls there are really nice, we had Katie and she made sure we had fun.

Fernando Bernardus ABT: Love Ultrabar! Great music and atmosphere throughout the multiple levels of the club. The mixed drinks and their first-rate line of imported beers are top notch and fairly priced, considering the fact that this establishment is located in the heart of the nation’s capital. Getting a table is extremely affordable and I would recommend it if you come with a big group of friends. Security is on point inside and outside the club. It’s simply the best 18+ club in DC. Special thanks to Jimmy, Giuseppe, Galen, for always providing my friends and me with courteous customer service.

Alexander Zacapa Centenario: Ultrabar happens to be among the best clubs to party in DC. The establishment has four floors with different music genres played by talented DJs, and the overall atmosphere is always entertaining. My friends and I have enjoyed table service on multiple occasions and we’ve always had a fun time. The customer service from Jimmy Mar is absolutely exceptional, I consider him a tremendous asset to Ultrabar for many reasons, as well as the entire staff who are always very welcoming, friendly, and professional. This place also has outstanding security inside and outside the club in order to ensure the safety of its patrons. It is well situated near the Verizon Center and Constitution Avenue. Check out their pictures online showing how crowded and lit this place is. It is truly amazing on so many levels. Just make sure to look your best by following their dress code. Be ready to have a good time! In conclusion, I strongly recommend Ultrabar to anyone looking to have an enjoyable night out.

Alex Gonzalez: Perfect place for those who want a bit of everything. Sometimes I get tired of hearing the same type of music so it’s nice to be able to just switch floors to get a different atmosphere instead of having to go to completely different clubs and wait in line again. It gets packed but the bartenders are really friendly so they make the wait for a drink enjoyable

Angel Long: Went there Saturday for one of my buddies birthday. The stairs are a killer but the top floor is jumping. VIP service the way to go the floor was a bit crowded for me. Our waitress took care of us she was cool and brought girls to our table.

Brittney Vo: Always a good time when you come here! I’ve always had a good night coming to ultra. The music is up to date and I love the variety they have. Each floor is such a different vibe and my favorite are the latin and hip hop floors.

Tianna Chantel: This club is super cool! It has multiple floors and they each play different music so there’s a vibe for everyone! The service is fast and all of the bartenders are hot! Highly recommend!

Stephanie Trelles: I came to visit Washington DC for the weekend for Easter. My husband and I went to Ultrabar waiting in line for a little over 30 minutes just to get to the door and staff checking ID told my husband he was not allowed in because he had sneakers on. When I asked how come if every other male there had sneakers on and it was never mentioned in the dress code online. He responded very rudely and very unprofessional. The experience would have been a lot better if staff would have treated us fairly. I would think twice about attending this nightclub.

Xinyi Yin: The atmosphere, drinks, and music are great! They have a variety of different music on each floor, so you will not get bored of the place. Love the bartenders, they are super friendly and fun to talk to.

Living Room DC: what do users think?

Sara O'Day: If I could give this place zero stars I would. Went to a show they were hosting (didn’t go during club hours). Their ATM inside was broken and I needed cash so I was instructed by a security member inside and the bartender to go to the ATM right next door and I would be allowed back in. The bouncer at the door stopped me and told me I would only be allowed to go back inside if I hooked up with him later and then kissed me without my consent. When I was able to get back in (with a little help from a kind stranger) I went to tell the security member what happened and he took me to the manager. The manager said he would “review” the tape but there was nothing else he could do. Upon returning to my friends the party sitting next to us told me this isn’t the first time this has happened at this spot and management does nothing. I had to have a security member walk me out at the end of the show because I was freaking out.

Laura Murgas: My review if for the bar part. The bartender was a blond woman, no idea of her name but she was not nice at all. We got tequila shots and we got charged a 20% mandatory tip (which is insane when there is literally no preparation in a plan shot) and I ask her for salt and she responded super rude and never got me the salt.

Justin David Kondrat: HOMOPHOBIC atmosphere within lack luster costumer service. I was shocked that places like this still exist in D.C. With blatant tokenizing of people of color for bridal parties I felt extremely uncomfortable. I felt bad for the Drag performers since they were wonderful but not sure why/how an art form such as Drag matches with such backward thinking , services and atmosphere. It was very odd to say the least. If Zero stars were an option I would follow other Google reviewers. I discourage supporting places like this as their outward disrespect justify racist, homophonic and poor business practices. Yikes!!! There are plenty of other places in DC that can fit your needs while respecting all of the communities in our society. I need some sage and a long shower.

J A: First red flag: There were no people in line and we entered through the lane that was most direct of our walking path. The security said if we didn’t have a table we have to walk to the other lane that was LITERALLY 5 STEPS AWAY WITH NO LINES IN EITHER LANES. Second red flag: I ordered five shots and the old women bartender automatically added a $10 tip to the tab. Third red flag: the Dj had ZERO sense of good music. He played gasolina and danza Kuduro OVER THREE TIMES. One time is enough. The dj played oldddddd 2000s songs like bed rock. Fourth red flag: Males at this place are truly disgusting. They cannot keep their hands to themselves. They get angry if you deny yourself to speak to them. Security sees males harassing females and turn a blind eye until you have to approach them and tell them you’re being harassed. Bottom line: I do not recommend this place if you want an eventful night. DC has a lot of night life and this is by far my worst experience. Females, save yourself from disappointment.

Milan Mittra, Esq.: Worst DJ that exists in DC. Terrible music, all night. He has no skill. Just the worst, most boring music you can imagine…..ALL NIGHT LONG…. Painful experience…..avoid this DJ!! Stay away from the Living Room!

LaShondra Graham: Went here for a show. The drinks were overpriced and the club was very small. I enjoyed the show, but the club was just...meh 🤷🏾‍♀️

miranda raney: Paid a $20 cover for each of my (4) friends and I this past Friday night and was told mine was taken care of because it was my birthday. Just checked my bank account and was actually charged $120 ($40 over what I was told). Poor experience on top of being lied to and over-charged at the door. Super disappointed in this place.

edward adams: Great place to have a get together awesome DJs wonderful visual attractions the staff was incredible I can’t wait to go back and have a party with all of my friends and meet some new ones

Rosebar Lounge: what do users think?

Lane McCall: Pros - Clean environment - Beautiful aesthetics - Great lighting effects - I got compliments lol Cons - Most bartenders are rude - $20 cover (cash only) - Venu is small and cramped - Music was severely lacking

Carson Goff: Come to this bar if you want to fear for your life. Worst crowd of any bar in DuPont. Avoid at all costs.

Tracey Hart: i fly down to dc once in a while to visit friends and family and was very disappointed to learn this place was boring and colorist. They apparently dont hire women of deeper complexions and their waitresses are online arguing, being fatphobic, and unprofessional. I could never do that and expect to keep my job but of course this place has no standards so im not too surprised. Spend your money somewhere else.

Google User: Guess you gotta be a somebody to get a table or section here, I reached out way in advance before my birthday letting them know I was interested in getting a table for when I come celebrate my birthday. Someone responded asked for my contact info, left me on read and never heard from them again. It would’ve been my first time in DC and my first time going here.

Shaneaka R.: The music was great in the room all the way to the back. Loved the decor on the ceiling. You must have to reserve the hookah because it was sold out.

soccerqueen181: Not professional! From the hiring process to the social media presence they do not know how to conduct business. They also refuse to hire women of color which is confusing because DC is referred to as chocolate city. Definitely take your business elsewhere because they need to actually learn how to run an establishment properly.

Ed E: This place is a waste of time and money. Bad music, overpriced drinks, they want to charge a lot of money to get in, bully bouncers pushing people because they feel less in their small brains, small space. There are many other options in DC than this awful place.

Brandon Jones: It might very well be awesome, but when I went, it was deadlocked in the back bar.

Sachi Nightclub: what do users think?

Briann D.: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! Crooks!!! Some of the cocktail waitress will lie and steal your money behind your back and then play dumb… the menus are sticky as hell. The place never looks clean & the bathrooms are a nightmare. It’s like this place can’t afford janitors?? I wouldn’t be surprised if I caught a disease from drinking from this place. A cockroach was also found near the Dj booth. It’s not worth paying $1000 for a table that is disgusting and that all the bottle presentations are badly done. C R O O K S. You are better off going to something on Connecticut Ave. everything made in this establishment was cheaply done.

Ahmed Iqbal: One of the worst service/ experience I’ve had…. It was our friends birthday and we put a deposit down for a section, we got there around 11:15 the security guard told us they are still setting up and the DJ isn’t here….. 1. You guys have two DJ’s on your flyer and both aren’t here …. 2. Your flyer and establishment states that “doors open at 10pm” Regardless, the way they handled it was… hey you guys can wait outside we should be ready in 10 minutes. 30 minutes go by in freezing temperatures and not a single update as to what is going on. What I got out of it was it was a revenue scheme. Apparently they had a “open bar from 10-12” but they were trying to prevent people from going in between those times to save money and get people to buy their expensive drinks as the other reviewers were mentioning. Once the clock struck 12 guess what… DJ is ready and they started letting people in… anyways we left cause I was about to lose a few fingers if we stood out there any longer. Terrible service don’t bother coming here!

Bolo 'Ye: I LOVED THIS PLACE!!! The music was GREAT big dance floor and the crowd is good. If you want a section you’re probably looking at $1200.

Parker Hierle: Sachi Nightclub is amazing experience! The decor inside is fantastic, the club is very clean, with exceptional service. By far my favorite nightclub in the city!

Raian Perez: Came here to see a popular DJ. The sounds system is great and the production is decent. The cover was wayyyy to high and the bartenders were kinda rude. Warning: drinks are extremely overpriced, I suggest you pregame first.

Redd Foxx: It seemed like they did not have the heat turned on (1/05/18) and most were in jackets and coats including bartenders and other staff. Gratuity is already added to the drink prices, so beware of that if you’re paying cash as they don’t inform you. Also, the hookah guy is rude from “hello”.

Darren Duckett: Went there last night. Horrible service! Girl at front bar had an horrible attitude! She gave me the most watered down jack and coke Ive ever had in my life. Not even a full shot was put in my glass and charged me 11 plus gratuity! Don’t go here! ... I bartend and Im telling you that place is not where you want to go for Drinks

Echostage: what do users think?

Brian Copes: First time checking out this music venue space in DC. I loved the big space for DC standards. Multiple levels with plenty of bathrooms and attendants working the bathrooms too. Went to DC capital pride event and it was nice. Overall, plenty of staff to ensure your safety and good lighting along with DJs. It’s a great place to have a club night in the area.

Gavin Chen: Spectacular venue for electronic music. Strict security (goes through wallets). Free water if you walk up to the security near the stages. A lot of bathroom space available. Great audio quality and open space for dancing.

Charlie Butchko: It was awesome! I got to see DJ Diesel (Shaq) perform life. The bathrooms are very clean, with attendants there to soap your hands and hand you paper towels. As well as that, was close to the front during the performance and there was staff handing water bottles out to the crowd. I got a few drinks at the bar (tequila sunrise and 2 shots of vodka,) each were $10. By the end of the show it got pretty crowded, so if you’re claustrophobic make sure to mentally prepare yourself, or stay further away from the stage. All else aside, for sure gather a group of buddies and find a show you like to check out echostage!

Brian Keith: Great time. The staff were really professional and caring. I liked seeing how they were treating everyone. Make me feel welcome. I would definitely go back.

So Maryn: The dress code here for DJ events seem to gravitate toward “less is more” or think “beach attire”. Pants optional in the sense that bikini bottoms are acceptable as minimum bottom half. Shirt optional for some men. Beware of “bikini trains” moving quickly through a crowd. Noticed an innocent couple who got divided instantly by a train of arrogant bikini wearing club goers. If you don’t pay attention such bikini trains can step on your foot as they stampede you by. Forgot to bring my glow sticks but it was nice to see some colorful glow shoes and even glow fingertips. First level has an open wide space and second level has table service. Restrooms are easy to find and each stall has a note to remind those that only one person per stall is allowed. Once you get in past thorough security it’s not easy to get out as although exit signs are marked, where to actually exit from a lane perspective is hard to find. Parking is challenging near the venue and expect to pay $40-60 right next door. Echostage I thought you were a top notch global venue but you fell short when it comes to servicing your global clientele. An Asian bartender refused to serve us drinks at the bar even when we were standing right in front of her with no one else around. She did however serve others who approached after us asking them what they want. She seemed to be racially profiling my friend who was wearing a religious head covering. We found another bartender who was much more friendlier and we still had fun.

Aaron Shenk: This was my first time at this venue, and I was so so impressed. We saw Chelsea Cutler, and the venue and staff were so great. For starters, there were so many staff on hand to answer any questions and there was plenty of security to keep everyone feeling safe. For the actual experience, the sound system was phenomenal, the security guards passed out water bottles to the crowed between performances (!!!) and just went above and beyond the entire time. I will definitely plan on returning to this venue!

Opera Ultra Lounge: what do users think?

Denise Morris: Fun place the music selection is a nice mix of hip hop r&b Afro beats and a bit Latin but def they feel the audience .. bathroom ls are typical for the club… we had a section and it was cool

Eboni: Definitely enjoyed myself for my sisters bday party!! The place was JUMPING🙂

Jayla Green: I got a table here about 3years ago & paid over $800. The bouncer came to kick us out of the section because we wasn’t keeping bottles coming. I would never support this club again.

Nicole Johnson: Went here on Saturday and it was sooo packed you couldn’t even see the lay out of the venue! And it was $40 per person for a cover charge!!! I have been to WAY better clubs in Vegas & Miami and never paid that for a cover in my life! Not worth it!

April: First time partying in DC this place is amazing I definitely recommend for a great night out

K B: Service is terrible. Bouncers are rude. Hookah is electronic. I will never come here by choice, just when invited. I only gave it two stars because the inside looks nice.

Mitko Georgiev: Went for a fundraiser and it was great. Ghe staff was awesome and the music. The only problem is only 2 bathrooms. Highly recommend

Coco Tinsley: Great location for special occasions. They also have spiked gelato stand inside. Great people. Have your event here!

Aaron Kelly: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueHad an event at Studio 52 a while back great staff and a beautiful space. I highly recommend it!Follow me on IG @blackstylematters

Jordan Christopher: Hidden Gem! We were looking for a place to do our annual showcase. We found Studio 52 to be a great urban oasis. The venue is great for any kind of corporate or social event; meetings, launch event, pop-up, holiday party, birthday party, sweet 16 or weddings. Then venue is industrial chic has a great glass door that opens up. You can imagine and do so much there. A lot of venues have stuffy staff, their team are great to work with. Chelsea was super accommodating with our plan and Drew was not only thorough, but cool. Reggie and Eric, the event managers went out of there way to help us. They are super friendly and gave great advice on set up. Antonio works security and is cool too. We plan to do a lot of events at Studio 52.

Rachel Fredrick: Just held a workshop at Studio 52 and the venue is amazing! The staff is exceptional and goes the extra step to ensure your event is successful! Reggie is fantastic and very helpful! Also, the venue is located next to a parking garage which was very convenient for our guest. Thanks again to Chelsea, Drew, and Reggie for the amazing customer service. This venue will not disappoint!

Susan Berry: This place was awesome. The young men that were there were outstanding. They did an amazing job helping us get set up. They had the hall looking like it should have been in Better Homes and Gardens. It was simply gorgeous. They even helped us cleanup and pack up. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Peter Jones: Nice meeting space! Great ambience and great location.

Margaret Brunner: My husband and I held our elopement party/casual wedding reception here and we could not have been happier. The owners, Drew and Chelsea, went out of their way to deliver stellar customer service and were incredibly flexible and responsive to us. They allowed us to get food truck catering (and helped secure parking) and bartending services where we could purchase our own alcohol, which saved us a ton of money. Plus the space is just beautiful - it has an open, industrial feel with a wall made from 100+ year-old reclaimed farmhouse wood. There is a digital photo booth built in that our guests adored and a garage door that can open up, creating a very cool vibe. I would definitely recommend Studio 52 for anyone looking to have a wedding reception, or any other type of event!

The Park at 14th: what do users think?

Gabriella WOWITSGOLDIE: Had a blast here !! Food was really good for brunch … it’s like a big plate of food and unlimited mimosas … salmon was so good ! Wings came off the bone, delicious. You pay one fee and spend like 3 hours there. The music was pretty good too, after you drink a few glasses you might even get up and dance. Bathrooms upstairs are very tiny and a little outdated other then that service was very good and food was great would definitely recommend! We will be back!

Tasha Fuller: It was all good, from the drinks, appetizers, entrees, to desserts and service. As you can see we were ready and The Park at 14th did not disappoint. We all agreed that the spinach and artichoke dip was “da bomb” the dip was creamy and full of flavor and the the fresh baked chips were the perfect compliment. We also enjoyed the shrimp and calamari. For dinner we ordered jerk wings for the table and I had the lamb, and I was not ashamed to pick up and clean the bone, it was that good. Everyone ordered the brownie for dessert and then we ordered a bread pudding for everyone to sample. I could have eaten them both and some would say I tried. You must check them out when they reopen in March.

Solana Cox: We came here all the way from Pittsburgh to celebrate our 5 year anniversary weekend. Every occasion and celebration that comes up, I will choose this place every time. The service and the DJ was on point. After a nice fine dining experience the night before, this is exactly what we were looking for the next day. Good vibes, good music, good food and drinks, and an all around fun atmosphere. When we told them it was our anniversary, they went above and beyond for us the entire night we were there. All the staff were so helpful and kept checking in on us even if it wasn’t our actual waiter. Special shout out to Dre which I’m assuming is the manager, that guy was running circles assisting staff. I’m a manager myself and now I feel like I need to step my game up watching that guy work lol. He was on top of everything and made sure we left with a memorable experience. I plan on coming back every time I visit DC. If you’re looking for a night out with good food and drinks, a live DJ playing hip hop/ r & b hits from early to mid 2000s, and all around exceptional service, this place is it. Highly recommend.

Jenn (Jenn): A small group of friends and I had dinner at The Park for my friend’s birthday and it was a good time. It was our first time eating dinner here and the food was presently good. I ordered the baby lamb chops with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My meal would have been really good but the gravy was salty so that ruined my meal. The lamb chops were nicely cooked, tender and juicy. The size is accurate for the name, and they were indeed baby size.

Lani: It was okay. The food / drinks came out fast. The happy hour only had two drinks on the menu and they weren’t strong. It was busy so we didn’t see our servers as much. I feel like the entrees are over priced now. We didn’t get enough to match the $30-40 price tags per entree. The wings werent good anymore, they were soggy. The vibe is definitely different now that it’s a restaurant only, which isn’t a bad thing but it should be noted. I think the quantity of food should match what you’re paying. I liked that I could let any server know my order if I didn’t see my server and they took my requests. But I don’t see myself returning here. The servers energy was that I couldn’t just come for drinks anymore and had to order a meal and not just appetizers. He was pushy & kept asking me what I wanted to eat and I had ordered many drinks and apps at the point, didn’t like that. The party next to us was overwhelmingly loud and we couldn’t hear each other.

Kar Ruiz: Great experience. We went for my friend’s birthday and the service was excellent; food amazing. We just loved it. Planing to come back.

Behanka G.: Food was bomb! Drinks were good. I had the pan seared chicken, a tuxedo, and daily punch. First time here and I had a friend visiting. She enjoyed it as well. The place was lively and well decorated. Parking was hard to find on a friday night but luckily there’s valet for $25.

Dan Richards: Went here for brunch as part of a group conference. They gave us a sampler of different foods and everything was great. From the French Toast to the wings every bite was an experience. The mac & cheese was one of the best that I have had at a restaurant. The eggs were fluffy and the bacon was perfect.

Latasha Perry: We made a reservation on open table the day prior as a recommendation from a friend. At our arrival we were greeted and seated promptly. The staff was friendly, attentive and swift. Our food arrived hot and was so good. The jerk wings amazing and the salmon juicy and flavorful. Mac and cheese was perfect. To note: There is a bar for seating as well. The atmosphere is dark themed and the music was complimentary of a Saturday night out.

Tricia Alletzhauser: We had a great time here. We saw Niko Moon. It was an excellent show and the bar is a decent venue to watch a show. The bar staff was very nice. Overall, we had a great time.

Dave Nemetz: Great little joint to hear some live music. Easy to get to, just a short walk from the L’Enfant Plaza Metro stop. Saw Will Hoge, and was right up next to the stage. Looking forward to seeing more shows here soon.

Oooma L.: A most excellent venue if standing (as in NO seating for regular ticket holders) amid a sea of mostly unmasked bipeds on a concrete floor in dark, windowless dungeons excites you. Featured music acts are one or two steps above what is offered at local suburban coffee houses. Meh. Most of the staff were polite.

Ann Brennan: Great venue for music. Very intimate without being too crowded. Clean. Easy to park. Good beer selection and attentive staff.
