DJ Maskell - Nightclub & Wedding DJ: what do users think?

Ting Chen: Looking for a DJ is one of the hardest things you can do when planning a wedding, but if you like to party, Mark is the one you’re looking for. Specifically, if you want a DJ that knows how to read the vibes of the room, transitioning from top 40s to your preference of EDM, Mark is a master in his craft. While we were planning our wedding, I wasn’t sure what information I needed to provide him in regards to music taste, but he walked us through the entire process and more. Once he got a sense of my taste in music and the vibes I wanted, he was able to suggest the songs for each event before I could tell him. Mark went above and beyond his role as a DJ, helping us iron out all the small details and questions to ask our venue. We did most of the planning ourselves, but Mark stepped in as a wedding advisor, asking us questions we didn’t even think about. At the wedding we had a blast and people kept coming to us to ask about who our DJ was and how the music was on point. If I had to plan another event, I would pick Mark in a heartbeat. He was a blast to work with and was the greatest support we could have had by our side throughout the wedding

Haley Crimmins: Mark has phenomenal DJ and lighting skills and he helped to make our wedding the party of our dreams! His knowledge of the wedding industry was absolutely invaluable throughout the entire planning process. He thought of everything, down to microphone set up for our officiant and timing our music to the very second. He also went above and beyond by cutting up our father/daughter dance song to shorten it a bit and it came out perfect! Thank you SO much, Mark!

Cindy Ly: Words cannot describe how amazing Mark was. I an living in Austin, and was planning an event in Pittsburgh, PA. He was able to work around the unknown power source of the ceremony without any stress. As well as a million other things that I wouldn't have caught. As my first time planning a wedding (and hopefully last) Mark was so open to share his knowledge with us that I wouldn't have thought through. Like remember to eat lunch. That alone shows how much Mark really cares about our day not just the music and lights. the music and lights were top notch. (uplights are a must) Even my parents came up and danced, and they never dance! The prep before the wedding day really helped us talk through the day and lit a fire under us on things we've been slacking on... My day wouldn't have been as smooth if it wasn't for him.

Anne Davey: There are quite literally no words to explain how incredible Mark is and what an impact he had on our wedding, but I will try. Mark was easily the best vendor we used over the course of our entire wedding planning process-- he is so knowledgeable, helpful, fun and talented. His DJing, energy, lighting and overall experience were absolutely unmatched-- we received SO many compliments on the music and how he ran our wedding. Music, lighting and effects were so amazing he had everyone on the dance floor from the moment it opened until we had to end-- grandparents, college friends, young cousins, you name it, they LOVED the music-- a true skill to put together that kind of entertainment. Mark not only helped throughout the planning process with expert advice on our timeline, little details to remember and day of coordinating support, he truly knocked the sound and lighting out of the park. His experience and professionalism shines through-- the man knows what he is doing and will deliver on what you ask for, and if you're up for an adventure, he can even recommend ways to kick things up a few notches with lighting, effects etc. 1000/10 recommend hiring Mark for any event-- he'll go above and beyond, and bring his skills and energy to make your day the best.

Olivia Mackey: Mark is awesome!!! His experience is what drew me to him initially, but his personality when I met him is what sealed the deal! He’s professional, but loads of fun! He helped us to make sure that all of our music and organizational needs were met, and made it super easy to navigate. The day of, he nailed it! He controlled the timeline of the event as an MC, worked the crowd and had the best music playing based on our requests! He really works to personalize his playlist to what you want, while also working in his own professional touches! I cannot recommend him enough!!

Liz Miller: Mark was a gift! Not only did he essentially do everything we asked of him, he went above and beyond to make our day run as smoothly as possible. He worked really well with my coordinator to make sure we stayed on time, and even came early to help with set-up. We chatted a few times prior to the wedding day to run through the evening, and he was super helpful and fun to work with. If you want a DJ who will light your dance floor on fire and also help with the minute, behind-the-scenes details, Mark is your man! I'm so glad I randomly found him on Google!

Unknown Error: Where do i begin... Probably the beginning of us planning the wedding. DJ Maskell is more than a DJ, he is a true MC (master of ceremony). Mark brings tons of experience to couples making organizing all the vendors way easier. He helped us by getting a spreadsheet schedule to all the vendors and everyone was on the same page. All of our complicated logistics went well thanks to Mark. This is all before the actual reception too. Getting to the Ceremony and reception, Mark provides all of his own top notch equipment able to do amazing things. He has a fully set up lighting display that helped transform our reception venue into that rivaling DC Clubs. The mixing was fantastic, the announcing was great. To my surprise i look up and hes showing one of the kids showing him all the cool mixing equipment. Really great experience. DJ Maskell was the best value BY FAR of any of our vendors! Thanks Mark, we could not have made this possible without you! -Chris Dell (groom)

Dylan ODonnell: I've been to several weddings with Mark as the DJ, and based on his amazing work, decided to use him for my own. He is an amazing DJ but goes above and beyond what is asked of him! He made sure everything was prepared and organized before the event and ran around and made sure everything ran smoothly the day of! He even managed to bustle my wife's dress (with ease) when none of her bridesmaids could figure it out! If you need a DJ for any event, look no further!

Lina Jameel: Mark was recommended by our wedding venue. When we met for an initial consult we felt very comfortable with him. I was a little worried because I wanted to have Arabic music played during the party, and let me tell you, Mark rocked it! He doesn't know the language but he did his homework and came up with a beautiful, trendy and very party appropriate play list, I was amazed! His MC skills are on point, very witty and funny. I was also interested in a special lighting, and he made sure to get it an install it so well, it made venue look even prettier! He promised a good time and he did not disappoint.

Molly Brinson: Mark was our SAVIOR for our wedding. We did not have a planner, coordinator, and quite frankly had no idea what we were doing. Our best decision was hiring him because he helped us get our s*** together which allowed us to have such a smooth and stress free day. It could not have gone more perfect and we owe that to him! Thank you Mark!!

Decades DC: what do users think?

Alex Vlad: I’ve been coming to this spot for years now, and it never fails to deliver that one-of- a kind retro timeless experience. The floors are all unique with their own theme— from 2000s to 90s to hip-hop/ and an EDM rooftop, music and DJs are always on point, and the staff and security are always very friendly and helpful. The venue is clean and hand sanitizer stations are offered; the staff wears masks, and considering we are in hard times with COVID im happy I can still enjoy clubbing, and a night out with friends safely. Overall, I would highly recommend Decades to anyone as its gives you a little bit of everything and more!

Kim & Ben: We were a little nervous to visit decades after reading the reviews, but we ended up going for a bit to celebrate a friend’s birthday and actually had a great time! The line to enter was long, but moved quickly. They did a thorough check point where they pat you down, check bags and check jacket pockets. You get carded at the door and have to pay a $20 cover if you don’t have a VIP pass. We all got the free VIP pass off their website and, so we didn’t have to pay the cover fee. Once inside, you can visit each floor of the club to get a different music experience. The top floor was the most crowded, and it was very hot, but our group still had a good time dancing. One of the middle floors (I think it was the 90’s floor) was less crowded, and you could feel the air conditioning, so we stayed there most of the time. Our friends said the bartenders were nice, and we didn’t have any negative experiences with bouncers either. We had a ton of fun at Decades and would love to visit again sometime! If you haven’t been, I’d stop by and give it a try!

Itzel Trejo: I used to love this place but friends and I went to a day party after Sunday brunch and saw a rat right on the rooftop bar. We notified staff and they did not care. We decided to leave because the rat was right next to the bottles so we felt uncomfortable getting drinks. Staff response was that we live in a city and rats are everywhere and although I understand there’s still expectations when it comes to rats near what costumers consume. I would have expected a better costumer service response. Go at your own risk.

Niyah Baptiste: I would definitely recommend, me and my sisters celebrated our birthday here and it was on point!! Music was amazing drinks were decent priced. I’d definitely suggest getting there early so you don’t get caught in the rush of people tryna get to the “good”floors. It was definitely the vibe 10/10 totally going back.

Ali Hamza Dar: I have the worst experience in this club. First we almost spend over 1500 on Thursday night on my friend birthday. Towards the end of it I wanted to use the bathroom and this one security guy did not let me use the bathroom. After I insist I really need to use it badly than he told me that if I give him 100 dollar and the other security guy 100 then he will let me use the bathroom. What a worst service is that. I ask him who is the owner of this place let me speak to him and he refuses me and told me get out of here. Is this how you treat with the customer. It was so terrible. There many other people standing and watching this incident.
Response: Hey Ali – Thank you for your feedback. Could you please send us an email to info@decadesdc.com regarding this matter, so we can further look into it.

Ahmad AL Jaloudi96: I’d like to give an accurate opinion and with full transparency. The place is very boring since the Halloween event until these days. The entry fee is 20 dollars, it must be reduced to 10 dollars because the place is not worthy now adays and there is no respect for the customer, the security workers are very rude, the place is not clean ,the pool table is in poor condition and the prices fluctuate every weekend, the price varies, there is no credibility.. I didn't want to talk about this, because every week I was saying that the situation would get better, but to no avail. You should notice this, because the customers are gradually declining. Please pay attention to these notes. Today was my last visit to the place and I could not stand staying for more than an hour and 45 minutes. I will not go back again if these comments are not considered.
Response: Hey Ahmad we appreciate your feedback. VIP passes are offered online on our site to offer our guests free entry all night on Fridays, and until midnight on Saturday nights. We are fully transparent on our cover charges, which have been consistent since we re-opened June 11. Our prime responsibility is the health and safety of our employees and our customers -- we've taken additional steps and are punctual with our cleaning crew about disinfecting and cleaning our venue prior. If you'd like to follow up on this matter please feel free to text us at 202.650.7326-- thank you and we hope you give us another visit in the near future.

Deanna Joan: You’ll have a good time, but be prepared to spend a lot of money! $20 cover charge and pricey drinks. But it’s spacious and clean, it doesn’t get too crowded, and they play some GREAT throwback music. Pick your battles!

Steven Fernando: Overpriced and crowded. Rude staff. Was being charged $14 for Coronas and other cheap beer pre covid, can only imagine what it’s like now. Paying that much for drinks youd atleast expect to be treated with some respect
Response: Hey Steven! Thank you for your honest feedback. Our drink prices match to those of our competitors in the area. Check out our social media for any ongoing promotions we currently have such as the $4 Budlight, $8 Absolut Mixed Drinks on Friday nights. Thank you again, and we hope to have you back soon!

Drew Inge: If you’re an LGBTQ person do NOT come here. First of all, aside from the fact that this bar is not lgbt friendly it’s absolutely disgusting. The first floor of decades smells like a portopotty. The drinks are ridiculously overpriced compared to any other comparable “club” in DC. The cover is $20 which would be fine if it had any redeemable qualities worth the cover. As far as it being not LGBTQ friendly, the staff is not trained on how to handle LGBTQ people, the bathrooms are labeled All Gender but they have staff guarding them(even though they are single stall) allowing only females into one and “men”(those they deem visible men) into the room with only urinals available(on the rooftop) My personal experience on the rooftop after entering the “all gender” restroom was I was pulled out by the staff and then told I was not allowed to use that facility and I could enter the mens room because that room was for women only. I politely informed them I did not want to use the room with the urinals and the straight men and was then yelled at by security and told that I had no choice. IF YOU ADVERTISE ALL GENDER RESTROOMS THEN YOU STAND BY THAT STATEMENT. Will not return after this. I’ve visited numerous times and had multiple bad experiences but returned because I have so many straight friends who visit and want to experience different decades of music. If you want to experience the cliche of every decade and it be absolutely horrible then by all means please visit Decades DC but I’d spend my money at other establishments that cater to their clients much better; lgbtq or not.
Response: Hey Drew thank you for your honest feedback. We can assure you that we value and respect all people regardless of their race, gender, religion, ethnicity, sexual-orientation. Please email us at info@decadesdc.com regarding this matter, and a manager will be in contact with you.

Sophie Wophie: Me and my friends used to love to come to decades but each time we get some sort of mistreatment. The guards are rude and RACIST. One time one of the guard told us ‘this ain’t your s**t, when we try to get to our VIP table. Ever time we go there it feels like they assume just because we’re black we can’t afford VIP. I’m tired of this racist treatment, I will take my money somewhere where it’s appreciated.

Exclusively Entertainment: what do users think?

Christina Kulp: Exclusively Entertainment was the best choice of DJ we could've gone with! They were quick to respond and so personable. Pierre, our DJ, met with us and was committed to making our vision for our reception a reality. He was super fun at our wedding reception and made our day truly special! We cannot say enough great things. Choose Exclusively Entertainment! Don't wait!
Response: Dear Christina and Philip, We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your positive experience with us. It was nothing short of an honor to provide the entertainment for your special day! Can't wait to be a part of future celebrations!

Nasrin Pourkiani: DJ Kia is the best! If anyone in the circle of my family or friends needs a DJ for a wedding ceremony/party , I would recommend Exclusively Entertainment without a doubt. Everything was so easy and smooth prewedding when planning, and they executed everything beautifully on the wedding night. My next party, they will be in! I cannot appreciate them enough for the memorable night they made for us. The dance floor was never empty other than the dinner time.

Salar Samii: Exclusively Entertainment was amazing and all around fantastic! We had the pleasure of working with the team for our music and lighting services as well as using Night Owls for our videography for our wedding in September2021. The team was great at communicating with us during the lead up and explaining all their services, what was best for our venue in terms of lighting/stage set up, and setting timelines for the music, speeches, and any other questions we had. Iman was awesome leading up to the event, DJ Kia was incredible all night, keeping everyone on the dance floor and making sure it was a blast for all our guests. We also had Farzad and Wake as live musicians and they were just a great at keeping the energy going all night. The Night Owls team led by Brandon and Tre were great and so easy to deal with. They met with us before the wedding to talk about our vision for our wedding and what we wanted out of our video. They were so fun to work with and so professional throughout the process including when we were doing our edits and reviewing the final product, which we love watching. I can't thank them all enough and would recommend them to anyone looking for a DJ/Musicians/Lighting and Videography Services. 5 Star from beginning to end.
Response: Thank you so much for these kind words Salar! It was truly a pleasure and an honor to be a part of you and Kimberly's special day. We are grateful for the trust you put into us and couldn't be happier to know that we delivered. Wishing you both decades of health and happiness!

Kion Goharian: EE provided the DJ service for our wedding and did an amazing job! Can’t recommend DJ Saam enough… had multiple people tell my wife and I after the wedding how much they loved the music. EE was also accommodating with their policies during some of the covid induced challenges we had. Highly recommend!
Response: Dear Kion and Amanda, we can't thank you enough for taking the time to share your positive experience with us. It was truly an honor being a part of your special day and look forward to being a part of many more celebrations!

Jessica Dickman: We loved working with your team for our event and DJ Ssam was perfect for the overall event and experience. The client was so happy and we really enjoyed working with your team and hope we can work together again in the future.
Response: Many thanks to you and the entire Karlitz team for entrusting us for your special event. It was a pleasure work with pros such as yourself and are delighted to know that your client was happy with the beautiful event at the St. Regis.

Mohib Zubairi: The team at EE is absolutely amazing! My family has had the pleasure of working with Iman and DJ Biks for a second time - and the team does not disappoint. They were very attentive, and did everything they could to make sure that the day was special for not only my wife and I, but all of our guests as well. At the end of the day, I said everything is at Biks' discretion and he absolutely CRUSHED IT! He played off of the energy of the guests and we still get compliments on how great the music was!
Response: Dear Mohib, We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your positive experience. It makes us incredibly happy to know that we were able to meet your expectations and look forward to being a part of more celebrations in your family!

Kim Ghobadi: Iman and his team are amazing! We had such a seamless and pleasant experience working with Exclusively Entertainment. Iman was very professional and worked with us every step of the way. Being in the events & experiences/marketing world it's crucial to find partners in the industry who you trust and bring your vision to life, and Iman did just that! Will 100% recommend to everyone! Thanks Iman and team!!

Fola Akintomide: I want to say a very big thank you to Exclusively Entertainment for a job well done and for the services provided during my birthday party on Friday October 12, 2018. I really appreciate the excellent customer service, prompt response and follow up provided by the team right from the first day I made my inquiry, through out the process to execution and delivery. Exclusively Entertainment paid attention to all the details and was willing to work with me to ensure I had a lovely event. The technicians who came to set up arrived on time, very professional and friendly. Plus, set-up was completed in a timely manner. The up-lighting was beautiful, the intelligent lights added a touch of elegance to the ballroom, the monogram projection was simply perfect. Wow! the ballroom was so beautiful and everything well coordinated. My guests had a great experience and lasting impression about the party. I really look forward to doing more business with your team. Thank you so much for working with me all the day way. I am highly satisfied with the services provided and I give the Exclusively Entertainment team a Five Star rating for a job well done!
Response: Dear Fola, We sincerely appreciate these amazing words! We are so grateful to have been a part of your special occasion and can't wait to be a part of future ones because you sure know how to party!

Fareed Aref: We worked with several vendors for our wedding and one really stood high and tall. Exclusively Entertainment was a real joy to work both in getting prepped for the wedding , but also during the wedding. Lighting and entertainment were both fantastic. Highly, highly recommend EE for anyone looking to work with a professional, experienced company who truly cares about the outcome of their service and its impact on the people they touch.
Response: Thank you Fareed! We appreciate you and Susy choosing us!

Venous Mokhtari: Went to the Sogand concert this weekend and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Exclusively Entertainment really made the community proud with the first Persian concert at Echostage. Every single one of the DJs KILLED IT!!! It was absolutely incredible and SOGAND was indescribable... She gave an awesome performance and together with EE DJ's it was PHENOMENAL!!!! I hope they do another concert at Echostage again!
Response: Thank you!

Soundcheck: what do users think?

Mitchel Vongbandith: Used to enjoy going to this place but I think the new security guys have been pretty rough. Friends had a table and one of them had a lot to drink and decided to sit down (this was at the end of the night and the closer after the main act had come on). Security guy started harassing my friend (who was part of the table mind you) for him to leave. We asked him why he was doing that and he wouldn't give an answer. They can get some great acts to play here, the older staff that has been here are still nice but the newer people that I don't recognize aren't very great and really spoil the experience. Otherwise I think the new lasers and addition of speakers were a great idea.

Giles Peng: I visited this club recently to hear some DJs I hadn’t heard live yet. Overall, it was a fun experience with a friendly crowd and very danceable music. I got there early, but the line to get in starts getting long between an hour or two after the club opens. The crowd was trendy and more than a few club-goers were quite good dancers. I’m sure to visit this club again for the intimate dance floor, nice selection of drinks, and the DJs spinning music that kept the crowd going on a fairly high fidelity sound system.

Katrina Marie: Overall experience was 8/10. DJ was pretty good. Staff was RUDE all over. (Edit): and apparently this is common after reading other’s experiences - especially women. Staff -10 👎🏽 I have worked for other Live Nation venues and have been to other Live Nation venues in other major cities and this one was the worst. It’s sucks how rude employees can be the only negative thing - it takes away from an overall great experience. But cheap tickets and decent show

Rob Garcia: 10/10 hands down. This place rocks and is a venue staple in DC. Headliners come through weekly. Staff are super professional. Lighting and sound are off the charts good.

Jordan S: Came here with two friends. I had a great time, I prefer hip-hop, so maybe I'll come again when its my type of music! Either way, the sound system was excellent, we got a table, but it was a bit crowded at some points. The place was clean, no dirty, stick tables. Only annoying part was the wait at the bar... My goodness! Not sure if more bartenders are needed, or what, but it was just way too long of a wait. Luckily the bathroom lines weren't nearly as long as the bar. We waited outside while getting in for a little too long, but I feel like that's to be expected.

Alice Yoon: One of the security guys outside was so rude and got me confused w another asian girl (ignorant). I asked to stand next to the heaters outside last night for a minute before my uber arrived and he said “no you put yourself in this position so you can freeze.” I was really confused as to what I did but he kept saying I was “banned from echostage(?)” and that i had “snuck into the venue” somehow. Definitely got me mixed up with some other asian girl, and didn’t take my word for it when I told him I had never seen him before in my life. Extremely rude and ruined my night
Response: Hey Alice- If you could please email matt@clubglow.com, we can further discuss this situation.

Anjie: Meh, not worth a $30 cover. Outside staff and bathroom attendant were nice, professional. Bartenders slow and rude. They definitely pick who they want to serve and when. They look right past you as you are standing there and help someone who just walks up. Not sure if they are friends or regulars, but if you want tips or to stay open, you should treat newcomers just as good. Not to mention, with the exception of the staff, and MAYBE 10 guests, nobody was wearing a mask. A socially responsible club would enforce this mandate.

Abby Johnston: Terrible experience, specifically with the outside security- one of the bouncers was incredibly rude to me. The music they were playing inside was just not good. The place was also half empty and overall boring. Not at all worth the 30 minute line and overpriced ticket to get in.

Greg Czechowicz: I am giving 2 stars, but if it wasnt for the vaccine cards fiasco I would give it 5 stars. This was an vaccine card mandated show, but NO ONE asked for our vaccine cards. I even wanted to show but they said its ok, no need. If the goal is to keep people safe, why let everyone in if you say there is a vaccine mandate? Now on to the positives, great sound, but a bit too loud. Definitely need ear plugs. Drinks well priced, security kept an eye out for drunks and fights and did a great job.

Dan Goldman Events: what do users think?

Rebecca Weissman: Look no further than DJ Brennan Sullivan and Dan Goldman Events for your event music. We used Brennan for our wedding in April 2022 and honestly cannot believe how many compliments we are still getting on the music throughout the event. Brennan took time to learn our likes and dislikes and the 'vibe' we were going for in each part of the wedding and he NAILED IT! We gave him just a few songs we really wanted played and then entrusted the rest to him to pick. He reads a room and a crowd and the outcomes is beautiful music that enhances the atmosphere, yet not have to yell during your cocktails hour or dinner and a PACKED dance floor all night! We were so happy, everyone was dancing from ages 5 to 85 and all our guests really LOVED the music. Our wedding was beautiful and more importantly it was FUN thanks to the spectacular talents of Brennan.

Ashley Davidson: We decided to hire Dan Goldman Events at the suggestion of our wedding planner, Kim Newton, and it was one of the best decisions we made. Ricardo was fantastic! Our guests are still talking about how fun our reception was. The Dan Goldman Events team was extremely easy to work with. Aside from sharing the songs we wanted for our processional, recessional, intro/entrance, first dance, cake cutting, etc., we were able to include a list of "must play" songs and "play if possible" songs. We included a handful of these song requests, but really wanted to leave it up to the pro Ricardo to do this thing and make it a fun evening. And the night exceeded our expectations! One guest shared that she thought the pre-ceremony playlist was very cool, so she asked Ricardo who the songs were by – and he happily shared the Spotify link. I'm so glad she asked because she passed the link along to us and I listen to it all the time! He absolutely nailed the style of music needed to keep our party going all evening. Ricardo was both friendly and professional, and we'd recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ. We also decided to add a photo booth to our wedding a few weeks before the event and it was a huge hit. The team even created the printed photo strips to look like our wedding invitation. Other than music and the photo booth, Dan Goldman Events provided beautiful uplighting.

Polly Johnson: This review is for both DJ Brennan Sullivan and the lighting services of Dan Goldman Events. Starting with DJ Brennan, we could not have been happier with him, as a person and as a DJ/MC! He read the crowd perfectly, playing some more classic songs when the "older" crowd was on the dance floor and the "party" songs for later in the night. The song choices were perfect and our crowd did not want to stop dancing! Brennan was also an awesome MC. He kept the night running smoothly, and most importantly, took the time before the wedding to get to know us as a couple and truly understand what we were looking for. Our wedding was executed flawlessly, in large part thanks to Brennan! We also used lighting services provided by Dan Goldman which included gorgeous bistro lights for our outdoor dinner and uplighting that truly added to the vibe for the dance party. Dan was so communicative throughout the entire planning process and delivered exactly what we wanted, all for a very reasonable cost. In sum; hire Dan Goldman, hire Brennan Sullivan - you will absolutely not be disappointed!!!

Courtney Whelan: DJ Brennan Sullivan was great! Brennan Sullivan was our DJ and he did a great job! He used our recommended song choices and threw in some complimentary songs that kept the party going! I would definitely recommend him for your wedding or event! Sent on 06/15/2022

Ashley Bruggemann: Booking Brennan Sullivan as our DJ for our April 2022 wedding was one of the best decisions that we made in planning our wedding. Brennan was super responsive and was always willing to hop on a call to talk through things - or really just put an anxious bride's mind at ease. He really understood the vibe that we wanted for our wedding and translated our desires perfectly during our reception. He was open to special requests and song versions that we/our parents wanted, but gently pushed back when we were thinking of something that he knew wouldn't play out super well. He clearly is a professional and we are so happy that we trusted his suggestions. We had SO MUCH FUN at our reception - our dance floor was never empty - and we really credit Brennan with reading the room and playing the perfect blend of current hits and classics. So many of our guests commented on how great our DJ was and one friend has already told me that he wants Brennan to DJ his wedding (and he isn't even engaged yet!). Thank you so much, Brennan, for helping to make our wedding memorable!

Erik Rehnberg: Dan was incredible throughout the entire wedding planning process. He had no issues with us changing dates twice due to covid and even handled a last-minute issue where he had to step in instead of one of his other DJs to make sure the event was able to go off without a hitch. I'm probably biased because, you know, my wedding and all, but this was the best DJ'd event I've ever been to. He was extremely responsive to requests and did a great job managing the mood the whole time. By the time the venue needed us to leave, the dancefloor was still completely full and we likely would have stayed another couple hours. We also used some Christmas lights over the dance floor to go with our first dance and his setup on them was perfect. Absolutely zero hassle adding them on a few weeks before the event and the setup was done perfectly.

Jamie Cohen: My wife & I were fortunate enough to have Brennan Sullivan be our DJ for the night of our wedding. I can say, without doubt, he did a magnificent job throughout the entire reception from introductions to keeping the dance floor packed. We have received countless complements on how perfect the music was. Additionally, Brennan was incredibly nice & accommodating when it came to our planning and music requests.

Allie Thornton: DJ Brennan rocked our wedding ceremony and reception. He hosted a great dance party. He cued up different genres for each of our wedding’s events and volunteered great music when we wanted guidance. He was also incredibly responsive and willing to help with custom songs for the processional. The event planning tool that they use is super helpful and really helped focus us on what we wanted for the wedding. Also, the price quoted on day one was what we paid.

Griffin Lahre: We could not have been more pleased with our experience with Aaron Platt and Dan Goldman events. We interviewed several candidates before making a decision, and Aaron's preparation for the intro exceeded our expectations. Not only did he discuss how to make the night memorable from a music and emcee perspective, he also elaborated at length how he would arrange sound equipment for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception to best cater to each phase of the evening. He was responsive throughout the lead-up to our wedding day, and easily communicated with the vocalist that we hired separately. On the day of, Aaron ran the sound for the night seamlessly, including editing and shortening our first dance song to an appropriate length. Everything transitioned well, and the dance floor did not empty at any point. I think the only time I've ever mentioned DJs to fellow wedding guests was when they played bad music, or I couldn't hear speeches, or any other negative thing. Multiple people came up to me at the wedding to say what a terrific DJ he was. The energy remained top notch all evening, but Aaron never made it about himself. Very professional, very prepared. I would strongly recommend working with him and a reputable agency such as Dan Goldman for any events.

Natalya Bull: DJ Brennan Sullivan: We were extremely impressed with DJ Brennan's performance at our wedding. He is a true professional, thoughtful, attendtive and dedicated, giving 100% at our event. He expended a substantial amount of time learning about our musical tastes and the theme and impression which we wished to create at our wedding. He also asked about our guests and the kind of atmostphere which we wanted to promote. Brennan then delivered more than 100%. I have a very selective and eccentric musical taste and his ability to interweave elements of my style with popular hit songs in an almost seamless manner was truly impressive. He could "read the crowd," exceedingly well and select the precise combination of music to inspire, evoke emotion, and get the crowd to get up and dance. We had multiple guests mention that they had rarely attended a wedding where EVERYONE was on the dance floor! Brennan is such a genuinely kind person and you can tell that he really cares about you as a client and in delivering the most high quality service. I HIGHLY recommend.

DC9 Nightclub: what do users think?

grant rohland: I like going to concerts here the place has a good vibe and nice staff, the only issue I have is the way it's laid out is a bit strange the merch table is right in front of the door so you get people blocking the door trying to get merch. It's a small complaint but overall this is a good spot to go see music I really enjoyed it.

John T: This dive bar is awesome! In the summer you can relax on the 3rd fl rooftop and laugh at everyone waiting in line for the "popular" bar across the street. In the winter they have small indi bands on the second floor. Great concert space. Staff has seen it all so be respectful!

Katelyn Stenger: Intimate venue and very friendly staff. I would highly recommend if you can! The tickets were shockingly affordable and the folks at the front actually checked vaccination and ID. Much appreciated.

Jessica Strahin: Went there for a small intimate concert. Loved the venue and the staff!!

Robert Cardoni: Great intimate show space to see smaller up and coming bands ... only hold about 150 people - so sold out shows are tight. Staff is super friendly. Beer is cold. Sound is good. What more could a music fan ask for Check set times though. Sometime shows are early with dance parties afterwards ...

Omny Miranda Martone: I love DC9. We go here regularly. The bottom floor is a typical indoor bar, the second floor is for dancing, and the top floor is a rooftop bar. Definitely recommend.

Stacey Brooks: Little but intimate. TTNG played twice here and it was a laid back experience. Bar on every level, food always smells great, bands perform on the second level without it being over crowded! Great place to rock!

Joe Nicol: always a good time, the best unofficial gay bar in DC — great acts, cool space

Chris B: 150 person capacity venue means you can get up close to the bands but shows usually end pretty early and the beer list is not impressive by any means. The food is pretty good tho, and be sure to get their garlic fries as a side to whatever you order.

Daniel Cox: Great place for live music. It is a really small and intimate venue which makes for a much better experience. Bouncer was really nice, drinks are averagely priced, and overall a good experience. Would come to a show here again.

Bliss Nightclub: what do users think?

Jeremy Cole: I'd never frequent this establishment under any circumstances. Ownership and management absolutely understood that a corpse would be positioned on stage during a recent event. It was in poor taste. Ownership and management didn't care because at the end of the day, they just wanted to take the money of the late rapper's family and friends. I highly recommend that Bliss Nightclub shut down completely and I thoroughly urge every event promoter to stop conducting business with them.

latoya fenwick: This was the worst experience I ever had at a club. I really wish I would of read these reviews first. I had a 10:30 reservation for a table. They had us standing outside in line until 12. When they finally let me and my six guests in, they brought us to a little section with what looked like a love seat. So we all weren't able sit. Then we ordered our bottles. When the bottles arrived they brought us six dirty champagne glass. They had lipstick all over them. The nerve of them in the middle of a pandemic. After we drank our bottles out of plastic cups. I wanted to order more but our server was nowhere to be found for a least an hour. When I finally hunted her down I told her I wanted to order some shots and she told me I had to go to the bar and order it myself. At this point I was ready to go. So save your money this place is not worth it.

Jessica Frey: I went here once for a dababy performance. The line was long but it moved pretty fast. The thing that upset me and my friends is that they had a “no sneakers policy” and one of my girls who’s a stud was wearing AF1s. She had to pay $20 extra for the sneakers but we saw plenty of men wearing sneakers who didn’t pay. We had to use cash too so it felt like the girls working the door were just trying to finesse. It was super crowded and hot. Dababy didn’t even show up until 2:30 am (club closes at 3) and I could barely hear him

Mashona Campbell: so we had a girls trip and ended up there not only did we pay $60 a person to get in and someone told us it should have been $40 anyways want to use the bathroom all the bathroom were NASTY PAPER IN ALL TOILETS I WAS THERE FOR 4 HOURS AND COULD NOT USE THEM AT ALL YOU WOULD THINK SOMEONE WOULD HAVE CLEANED THE AGAIN BUT NO ONE DID I WOULD NO RECOMMEND CLUB TO ANYONE. NOW THE ONLY PERSON THAT WAS GOOD WAS THE GUY THAT WAS DOING THE 360 THING HE WAS NICE PERIOD! OTHER THEN THAT IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLUB!!!!!!!

Anita Thomas: Don't understand why your establishment has a picture on your photos website of the young deceased Rapper Goonew if you sending out all the disclaimers and apologies about not being aware. Respectfully I ask. I'm a 62 year old woman who has never heard of him, but I grieve for his spirit and his family. We have to understand that if Black Lives Matter" then we have to show that "Black Lives Matter". Read alot about this young man and deep inside my heart really really grieves. Rest in peace Mr. Morrow.

Edou: Avoid ❌coming HERE! Worst club experience in D.C. Me and my friends bought tickets online and when we went there they told us the bliss club is divided into 3 part and we were supposed to go to the All black African party which is same Bliss club, when we went in the back they told us it the wrong ticket but it wasn’t the wrong ticket because the Bliss club was clearly written there, so went to the front and when we went in the front they told us it the wrong ticket we should PAID EXTRA $20. We waited in the cold N end up pay $120 additional charge to enter the club. This people are SCAM, Don’t go there. NO MATTER WHAT U DO THEY WILL FIND REASONS TO MAKE U PAY MORE MONEY❌

Curtis Gardner: K- Michelle was trash on 1-1-22Did more talking then singing. Bartenders was on point 5 stars for them. Overall the club was still fire with the bad performance from What’s her name.😂😂😂

Ty Williams: Came from NYC to see a performance and visit some friends in the area. Arrived at the venue and the line wasn’t moving at all. Mind you, we bought our tickets online weeks prior. When we got inside it was maybe 50 people inside. Da hell! Also, after finally get to the front, we were told it’s an additional $40 because we had on timberland boots. I informed them we’re not from here and didn’t know there was a “no boot” policy. She then said she’ll charge us $20. We just said screw it and paid it since we came from out of town. This place is a joke. Several artists that I would have loved to seen have been here, but I’m never going back. Too many games. Long lines for no reason. Kid sized cups drinking cups — literally paid $20 for a jack and ginger. People with tables weren’t even happy from what I could see. One girl said their glasses were dirty and it took over an hour to get a bottle and the server never came back. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Go somewhere else.

Big Sexy: There was no line and me and my 14 friends were seated immediately!! Definitely go there is NO WAIT!! And dont get me started on the cocktails MMmmmMMMmm!!

Nick Andrews: This place should be shut down after propping up a dead body on stage for a funeral. If they didn’t know it was going to happen then shame on management.

NYX Entertainment: what do users think?

Sean Belouin: MC Joy and DJ Howie were phenomenal! We brought NYX on at the last minute after having issues with our venue. Joy worked with us to create a fun time for the kids and adults. She and Howie made sure that everything ran smoothly so that my wife along with everyone else could enjoy the party. We can't recommend this company enough! Thank you for making our son's bar mitzvah a huge success!
Response: Thank you so much Sean! We had an absolute blast at Alex's party, can't wait to celebrate with you again in the future!

Samantha Kreindler: We so enjoyed working with this team! Chrome and the whole team kept everyone on the dance floor all night long with games, great music and tons of fun. We also had a photo booth that produced some awesome photos and lounge furniture that enhanced the decor and everyone enjoyed. Highly recommend this group!
Response: Thank you for your kind words Samantha! We had an absolute blast at Sadiepalooza! Can't wait to celebrate with you and your loved ones again in the future!

Aaron Scolnick: NYX team did amazing work making our son’s Bar Mitzvah party one to remember for a lifetime. Howie, Rachi, Tori, Jen, Paul, Reminder, Chris, and Paul knocked it out of the park! The dance floor was full all night! I will be using them in the future for our other son’s Bar Mitzvah!

Emily Stephenson: Crome is the most fantastic Emcee! He and his excellent dancers were absolutely incredible at keeping people dancing, and happy, and comfortable! We feel very lucky that we found Crome, and NYX generally, as they were a key component of why my daughter's bat mitzvah was a smashing success! Good people and an excellent services/products! Highly recommend!
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words Emily! We had an absolute blast at your event, and hope to see you at the next one!

Paula Eichberg: We had Joy Jewell, of NYX Events, MC our daughter's Bat Mitzvah. We were thrilled with our event! Joy and her team were absolutely fabulous! She kept the kids busy and engaged all night with games and dancing. And they had so much fun. She was also so helpful with planning. She told me just how many prizes to get and what kind. The kids were happy with the giveaways and prizes too! The DJ played the music I requested and even added others I didn't pick but that were right up our alley. My guests were up and dancing a lot and not just sitting at their tables watching. Joy met with me and my daughter twice before the event. She listened to what we wanted, had great ideas and original things for the kids to do. She even matched her outfit to the decor! She and her team were so great and so fun. We felt like they were our friends and that they were taking care of everything. They followed my timeline and my lead. The party had such a fun vibe without being too loud or too much. From the youngest to the oldest everyone had a great time. Everyone has been telling us it was the best party they've ever attended! Even the photographer who has been doing this for 15 years! We would definitely use Joy and her team again. We had so much fun and will remember and treasure this day forever! Also Howie was so helpful with his suggestions of what to get to make our party fun. The light up dance floor and sparklers were a big hit! And James was super helpful in making sure my montage worked for the DJ to play. This is a full service operation. So reliable. So first class. I felt like I was in good hands from the first conversation. We will definitely use them again for our future events.
Response: Thank you so much for your thoughtful and kind review-- the office has been all smiles since reading it. We're thrilled that we could make your big day so special, and hope we get to rock with you again soon! Best, The NYX Team

Mara Senn: This is the second Bar Mitzvah we have done with NYX Entertainment. The second one was just as good as the first. Everything was seamlessly set up and taken down, the DJ and MC were great and the special touches, like uplighting, made the event. We would definitely hire them a third time!
Response: Thank you so much Mara! We loved reconnecting with your family, and our team had an absolute blast. Hope to rock with you again soon!

Sharon Russell: Mc Chris was absolutely phenomenal! I can speak enough about his professionalism and impeccable organizational skills …… amazing! I planned a last minute 13 th birthday that Nyx was able to put together expeditiously with lots of excitement, fun and fabulous mini fireworks that was a blast! The event was well coordinated with the superb team from Nyx. I would without reservation highly recommend them !!! Chris you wer the bomb!!
Response: Thank you so much Sharon! We had an absolute blast celebrating with you and Solei. Looking forward to the next one!

Eddie Fam: NYX Entertainment has provided excellent customer satisfaction to all of our wedding clients over the past 7 years. They know how to bring the party and keep people on the dance floor at any celebration including mitzvahs and corporate events. Recently, they are doing fantastic with intimate weddings. They are professional, hard working, honest, and very passionate on how and what they deliver. For some great DJ's and lighting and a fair price point, we highly recommend you work with NYX!

Tatiana Smith: Amazing & Kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night!! We booked NYX for our end of year event and they were amazing to work with. They were easy to correspond with, quick to accommodate any of my needs and happy to provide suggestions! Great Quality, Amazing Abilities and Arrived Early (Incredibly Important for Events!). Working With Crishon, Howie and DJ Leko was a blast!! We had Howie who absolutely killed the beats at our first party and made sure the room kept a good flow and people were having a great time! Then Crishon AKA Crome was an amazing MC that was so interactive with the crowd that everyone wanted to extend the party! His exceptional dance moves/tricks and out of this world personality truly made the event something to be remembered and compared to for future events! They were so great, that we booked them again for another party that week and DJ Leko totally caused a scene not to be missed! Everyone was dancing the whole time and everyone loved the beats he played!! Deep House to Reggeaton to a little Trap Musik, DJ Leko had everyone lit the entire night! We had to keep reminding people that there was food available, but every time I turned around all I heard was "Ohh that's my jam!" Thank you Howie, Crishon and DJ Leko for perfectly killing our events and making them some of the best memories for our team! You've definitely created a customer for life!!

Rebeca O: The Dj we had was Mario and he did an excellent job with the music and the cues. My family, husband, and I all had an amazing time. When we met with them the week of the wedding, I expressed my concern with the timing and felt that I wasn't going to have time for certain things but Howie and Mario took care of the timeline and that's how it went. I would totally recommend them to DJ at any event! Thank you guys so much from the bottom of my heart!! 😊👍
Response: You're most welcome. We're honored to have been a part of your special day!

Club Timehri: what do users think?

K A: My first experience at Club Timehri was a good one. It’s a totally different vibe for me. But I must say the music was so good that I couldn’t help but dance. Overall, I had a great time. First time here and I shall definitely revisit. I highly recommend if you want to have a feel of the Caribbean night life! Good Service ✅ Good Vibes ✅ Very Friendly And Courteous Staff✅ 🚻Restroom
Response: Thank you for your review KA! We love new people trying out our venue and especially love it when you had a great time. Look forward to you visiting again. One LoVe!

Ileri Ogunfiditimi, Lifestyle Entrepreneur: Positive island and multicultural vibes in the city! The ONLY authentic Caribbean dancehall club left in DC! (If you remember "Old DC" and Georgia Ave Caribbean Carnival, you know what I'm talking about). DJ spins Soca, Reggae, Afrobeat, Reggaeton, and international music. Bartenders, owners, and staff are friendly and customer service top notch. The patrons get down too! No "wall flowers" at this spot. 😁 ALWAYS a great experience at Timehri.
Response: Thank you! It means a lot to us when a customer who knows the scene and what DC has to offer in our genre writes us a review like yours. Much appreciated. We look forward to entertaining you in the future. One LoVe!

Green Roses: I visited becoz of the good reviews. True, its wonderful. Nice vibe. Music was more soca. I hope more reagge can be played since Timehri is the home of Reagge. The bartenders were grooving like no joke. They were fast in getting the drink orders. The crowd was on fire-grooving like oh my. Music was kainda too loud for me, so I stepped away from the main floor. Thumps up. Well done Timehri. Good job. I will return with more pple.
Response: Thank you for visiting! We love to hear our guests enjoyed themselves. We try to keep a nice mix and usually it’s always more Reggae than soca so the DJ must have had some fans in his ear. Please check us out again when you’re in the neighborhood. One LoVe!

Samuel Ondieki: The music was good, the bartenders, security and owners were very nice and professional. Would most def visit again and recommend to any looking to have a lit night in DC

Celine Aka-Koffi: Visiting DC from New York, we came to Club Timehri two nights in a row. The Carribean music selection is so good. Drinks are good as well. There is a $10 cash only cover charge per person to get in.
Response: Thank you for visiting! Happy to hear you enjoyed yourself and we look forwarding to entertaining you on your next trip to the city. One LoVe!

Shaneka Boothe: The owner and the workers here are wonderful omg I enjoyed it so much I came here two nights back to back they took real good care of us from the dj to the bartender to the owner they made sure we enjoyed our night and made sure we was safe Johnny your great your a real humble and we appreciate you thank you and your employees for the wonderful care and customer services you guys provided Washington DC doesn’t owe us anything thanks to you and your wonderful employees #yournewfloridafriends
Response: Shaneka, we enjoyed having you and the crew. You are welcome at Timehri every time you visit the city. Dont forget to check in on us on IG @clubtimehri. Until the next time…. One LoVe!

Imani Thibou: My experience is usually great here but on NYE I went and the music was way too loud, my ears were ringing for days afterwards. With it being such a small space it made the experience unenjoyable
Response: Hi Imani, we are very sorry to hear this and I will be honest, we had a new processor installed the day before and had some issues properly tuning the system. We have since resolved the issue and would love you to give us another try. Also please ask for a manager and allow us to treat you for giving us another chance. Thank you, Mgmt.

Pharaoh Jonez: Let me tell you buddy. I was out one night bored and stumbled on this place. I got so drunk here that I ended up having the best time of my adult life. They are EXTREMELY good at mixing drinks. I mean to the point where my Long Island tasted like a sweet tea but hit like 5 shots of Henny. The bar tenders are hilarious, and it wasn’t the liquor laughing. They legit must be trained in comedy. Lastly some fine woman bit me on my back and I think I found true that night. But overall this place is a definite YES in my book.
Response: Pharaoh, this made our day! When our customers have a great time it makes us appreciate all we do to facilitate the good times and great memories created. Thank you stumbling by and definitely let us know the next time you visit. One LoVe!

Hector Sobers: If you love reggae music like me this club is the place to be on Thursday,Friday and Saturday. And to me it has the cheapest drinks in DC you wouldn't regret the visit and the customer service is great always a friendly crowd
Response: Love it when our customers enjoyed the music, and lets not forget the drinks. Hope you visit us again soon. One Love!

Waverly Renee: Good mix of Reggae Caribbean hip-hop music. Parking it's pretty bad at night. Drinks are reasonable price and there is a cover charge.
Response: Thanks for visiting. Parking is a struggle, and usually easier the earlier you arrive. We also only charge a cover on Friday and Saturday nights after 11 PM. Thank you. Mgmt

Flash: what do users think?

Spencer W.: One of the best clubs around this area. Sound system sounds great, always got good music going on, and the rooftop bar is really cool! Only thing I can think of that people might not like is that there is no screens in the place. Only lights so that's means no visuals. If your in need of some good drinks, good music, and a great sound system then flash is the place for you!

Michael Jaffee: Unlike any venue in DC and unlike majority of lounge style intimate clubs you’ve been to in the US. The music is incredibly unique for DC as they play deep house, tech, tech house, and other amazing sub-genres and the initiate dark setting with the [flash]ing lights is like nowhere you’ve ever been. It’s an absolute must if you’ve never been or are visiting DC and are trying to go vibe/dance the night away.

Aránzazu Ascunce: State of the art with a massive function one sound system. Multiple levels. Amazing lights, service, hospitality, staff. Global deejays regularly. Shout out to the booking agent. Come as you are. Not pretentious. The only rule is no flash at Flash. Highly recommend it to get your dance on and a pulse on the global underground. See you soon!

Ayesha SH: This is a hardcore EDM club. They have the rooftop, second floor and ground floor. The night I was there, all three areas had different DJ’s. You have to buy tickets on the website to get it - reasonably priced. Very decent crowd. The manager is Boris and he is awesome! Please visit and you will love it.

Denonte McKinney: I hope management reads this because coming to Flash was absolutely the worst experience ever. First of all, they made us stand outside in the drizzling rain until nearly 1:30am because we didn’t purchase a ticket online. The security guards rationale was, “Because of Covid we have to monitor the number of people coming in.” This does not make sense because masks are NOT required for admission, people with tickets are able to walk in without proof of vaccination, and they let everyone in anyways. Making a crowd of paying customers wait 1-2 hours for admission into a BAR is ridiculous. Also, they only have a CASH admission. In 2022, I need for this venue to upgrade and get a card reader, outside ATM, or cash app because the ATMs in the area are closed after 5pm. Yes, the bank ATMs (BOA & WF) close their doors at 5pm. You have to walk BLOCKS to grab cash and to come back. Lastly, the security guards are rude. They were shouting out, “If you have a tickets you can come right to the front, and if you don’t then IDK what to tell you” to the 50+ people waiting in line in the drizzling rain, this was inconsiderate & inappropriate. Mind you the security guards at the entrance are eating pizza, smoking cigarettes, and completely disregarding the crowd. My suggestions for management are: 1. Allow ALL paying customers admission into the venue. Do NOT make them wait in the drizzling rain for 1-2 hours when there are BARELY people going inside with a ticket. 2. Let customers pay via CashApp OR allow paying customers to use their cards/Apple Pay to purchase tickets at the door. It’s 2021. 3. Do not use Covid as an excuse to not allow people in when you’re going to let them in regardless. 4. Hire new security guards. I am very disappointed in this venue. Hopefully by next week they’ll at least have CashApp.

Charles P.: I love this place but the girl working the ticket booth at about 10:45 on 3/25 couldn’t believe that I didn’t realize it was an offsite ticket for Pot-Pan. She was pretty rude. I get being worn down by the end of the night, but to be in such a way 45 minutes into her shift was impressive. Or depressive? Muuuuust be rough. Not for her. But for the people who have to work with her.

Louis V: Great place to go out and dance. I met a lot of nice people and had a lot of fun. Music was awesome, drink was excellent and not so expansive.

Fern M: During this pandemic time, Flash has turn its rooftop space to a sit down place for Electronic music lover. Reservation is required for seats with 90 mins time limited. Same regulation of wearing mask, remain seated etc. are applied. Sandwiches menu are added along with drink menu. It seems like drinks were customized for fall season, we tried all the cocktails on the menu but only 2 we like( don’t remember the name.) It was ok, we were happy to help support the place and at the end of the night, we ordered our favorite drinks out of menu instead. The staff are super nice and attentive, ask them question regarding to the venue if you want to know more. The merchandise downstairs is for purchase helping support the place. Ask staff for the website or if you have problem access it like I did, they accept cash. They said they might open for brunch with live DJ on set. If we all keep supporting this business, I’m sure we will get to have one of the coolest brunch place in DC soon. Review as of 09/2020

Bryan Thomas: I was refused entry specifically because I had a suit on. You read that correctly. They apparently have an absurd 'no suit' policy—one bouncer said I may check my suit jacket but another chimed in and said I actually couldn't, which the initial bouncer seemed confused by but conceded. I honestly thought they were joking. When I asked why, they said, "In case you get a drink spilled on you." Such a bizarre experience that I couldn't help but be amused rather than offended in the moment. Told the story to others who confirmed it had happened to a friend of theirs too. About a decade ago, Flash was an amazing venue but it's become tragically pretentious. That's not what House music is about, which is the biggest shame.

Nicholas Caudill: Maybe it’s my fault for showing up too late, but if the doors open at 10PM and the headliner is already gone by midnight that isn’t a real party. Cool building though

Ultrabar: what do users think?

Angela Mendoza: I went to ultra bar recently and had a much better experience than before COVID. This club has really stepped it up, it’s not over crowded by 18+ and the music has an actually updated set. I love that I can choose the music I want to hear based on the floor. Be sure to visit them all to get the full experience and if you want a really good time you might as well get a table, they have decent bottle pricing for the area. Bottle girls there are really nice, we had Katie and she made sure we had fun.

Fernando Bernardus ABT: Love Ultrabar! Great music and atmosphere throughout the multiple levels of the club. The mixed drinks and their first-rate line of imported beers are top notch and fairly priced, considering the fact that this establishment is located in the heart of the nation’s capital. Getting a table is extremely affordable and I would recommend it if you come with a big group of friends. Security is on point inside and outside the club. It’s simply the best 18+ club in DC. Special thanks to Jimmy, Giuseppe, Galen, for always providing my friends and me with courteous customer service.

Alexander Zacapa Centenario: Ultrabar happens to be among the best clubs to party in DC. The establishment has four floors with different music genres played by talented DJs, and the overall atmosphere is always entertaining. My friends and I have enjoyed table service on multiple occasions and we’ve always had a fun time. The customer service from Jimmy Mar is absolutely exceptional, I consider him a tremendous asset to Ultrabar for many reasons, as well as the entire staff who are always very welcoming, friendly, and professional. This place also has outstanding security inside and outside the club in order to ensure the safety of its patrons. It is well situated near the Verizon Center and Constitution Avenue. Check out their pictures online showing how crowded and lit this place is. It is truly amazing on so many levels. Just make sure to look your best by following their dress code. Be ready to have a good time! In conclusion, I strongly recommend Ultrabar to anyone looking to have an enjoyable night out.

Alex Gonzalez: Perfect place for those who want a bit of everything. Sometimes I get tired of hearing the same type of music so it’s nice to be able to just switch floors to get a different atmosphere instead of having to go to completely different clubs and wait in line again. It gets packed but the bartenders are really friendly so they make the wait for a drink enjoyable

Angel Long: Went there Saturday for one of my buddies birthday. The stairs are a killer but the top floor is jumping. VIP service the way to go the floor was a bit crowded for me. Our waitress took care of us she was cool and brought girls to our table.

Brittney Vo: Always a good time when you come here! I’ve always had a good night coming to ultra. The music is up to date and I love the variety they have. Each floor is such a different vibe and my favorite are the latin and hip hop floors.

Tianna Chantel: This club is super cool! It has multiple floors and they each play different music so there’s a vibe for everyone! The service is fast and all of the bartenders are hot! Highly recommend!

P E: This 5 star review could not be more merited after a very busy Halloween Saturday night. The measure of an establishment is not only how well it executes its positive experience but also how it reacts when it gets something wrong. And we had one BIG hiccup. We had ordered tables and bottle service beforehand. Arrived around 11:30. The door staff were not the most cheerful but they're probably cold and dealing with a lot of drunk people so they have very little patience. All the different lines were very disorganized as well. Once we got in, my party were taken straight to our main floor table and introduced to Val. She was VERY happy and VERY cheerful and a wonderful and attentive server. There was a security staffer in the tables area at that time. We had some drinks, danced a little and settled in. After about 45 minutes we decided to leave our area to explore the other floors. Each has different music and a different vibe and it's a treat to wander and explore! And bring cash so you can tip the bathroom staffer. I was very embarrassed that I did not have any cash on me to say thank you to him. We wandered and danced for about 45 minutes. When we came back, we found a large group of ladies at our table and in our section. There was no security guard to be seen anywhere. We shooed them away and although they protested and argued with us for a bit they did eventually move away. That was when we discovered they had drunk our entire bottle of champagne and started in on our two liquor bottles having had approximately another 25% of each. We were appalled and shocked. We took the situation up with Val and she quickly gave us another bottle of champagne. However she didn't really know what to do about the liquor. We approved the check but mentioned that we would have to follow up with someone the next day about the situation. A few minutes later a staffer (we assume some kind of manager) came to us with another full bottle of liquor with their compliments. We were not expecting it and we were very grateful. Suffice to say, we were entirely satisfied with their handling of the situation and they turned the situation around completely for us. We had a wonderful rest of the evening and are eagerly looking forward to returning in the future. Val and the team at Ultrabar completely executed the right moves even when things went wrong. Major shout out to her. She made what could have been a bad review into a stellar customer service experience. We cannot recommend Ultrabar enough. Ps. They did acknowledge that there should have been a security staffer there keeping guard and mentioned that there usually is. Tips: If you have table service and everyone wishes to leave the table, GIVE YOUR BOTTLES TO THE BOTTLE SERVICE SERVER. Even if there is a security staffer there, they may be called away to deal with another situation.

Stephanie Trelles: I came to visit Washington DC for the weekend for Easter. My husband and I went to Ultrabar waiting in line for a little over 30 minutes just to get to the door and staff checking ID told my husband he was not allowed in because he had sneakers on. When I asked how come if every other male there had sneakers on and it was never mentioned in the dress code online. He responded very rudely and very unprofessional. The experience would have been a lot better if staff would have treated us fairly. I would think twice about attending this nightclub.

Xinyi Yin: The atmosphere, drinks, and music are great! They have a variety of different music on each floor, so you will not get bored of the place. Love the bartenders, they are super friendly and fun to talk to.

Living Room DC: what do users think?

Sara O'Day: If I could give this place zero stars I would. Went to a show they were hosting (didn’t go during club hours). Their ATM inside was broken and I needed cash so I was instructed by a security member inside and the bartender to go to the ATM right next door and I would be allowed back in. The bouncer at the door stopped me and told me I would only be allowed to go back inside if I hooked up with him later and then kissed me without my consent. When I was able to get back in (with a little help from a kind stranger) I went to tell the security member what happened and he took me to the manager. The manager said he would “review” the tape but there was nothing else he could do. Upon returning to my friends the party sitting next to us told me this isn’t the first time this has happened at this spot and management does nothing. I had to have a security member walk me out at the end of the show because I was freaking out.

Laura Murgas: My review if for the bar part. The bartender was a blond woman, no idea of her name but she was not nice at all. We got tequila shots and we got charged a 20% mandatory tip (which is insane when there is literally no preparation in a plan shot) and I ask her for salt and she responded super rude and never got me the salt.

Justin David Kondrat: HOMOPHOBIC atmosphere within lack luster costumer service. I was shocked that places like this still exist in D.C. With blatant tokenizing of people of color for bridal parties I felt extremely uncomfortable. I felt bad for the Drag performers since they were wonderful but not sure why/how an art form such as Drag matches with such backward thinking , services and atmosphere. It was very odd to say the least. If Zero stars were an option I would follow other Google reviewers. I discourage supporting places like this as their outward disrespect justify racist, homophonic and poor business practices. Yikes!!! There are plenty of other places in DC that can fit your needs while respecting all of the communities in our society. I need some sage and a long shower.

J A: First red flag: There were no people in line and we entered through the lane that was most direct of our walking path. The security said if we didn’t have a table we have to walk to the other lane that was LITERALLY 5 STEPS AWAY WITH NO LINES IN EITHER LANES. Second red flag: I ordered five shots and the old women bartender automatically added a $10 tip to the tab. Third red flag: the Dj had ZERO sense of good music. He played gasolina and danza Kuduro OVER THREE TIMES. One time is enough. The dj played oldddddd 2000s songs like bed rock. Fourth red flag: Males at this place are truly disgusting. They cannot keep their hands to themselves. They get angry if you deny yourself to speak to them. Security sees males harassing females and turn a blind eye until you have to approach them and tell them you’re being harassed. Bottom line: I do not recommend this place if you want an eventful night. DC has a lot of night life and this is by far my worst experience. Females, save yourself from disappointment.

Milan Mittra, Esq.: Worst DJ that exists in DC. Terrible music, all night. He has no skill. Just the worst, most boring music you can imagine…..ALL NIGHT LONG…. Painful experience…..avoid this DJ!! Stay away from the Living Room!

LaShondra Graham: Went here for a show. The drinks were overpriced and the club was very small. I enjoyed the show, but the club was just...meh 🤷🏾‍♀️

Allister Joseph: The door was $20 at late light which is fine. Most of the staff girls are not friendly. The drinks are expensive. $18 for a shot of Casamigos. Its either she profiled or just didnt feel to do it but charged me $450 for a single bottle. No offense, but why is DC rivaling NYC prices on bottles? Especially there isn't a decent VIP area to enjoy it? It's 350 in NY btw. They didnt bottom out with me because the music is a decent urban mix. Not to mention one of the guys moping the floor stared me in the face and mopped my feet. So disgusted with the service and attitude of the staff here. I had a better time at SoundCheckd the previous night. Not sure I'll ever go here if I'm in the DC area again.

miranda raney: Paid a $20 cover for each of my (4) friends and I this past Friday night and was told mine was taken care of because it was my birthday. Just checked my bank account and was actually charged $120 ($40 over what I was told). Poor experience on top of being lied to and over-charged at the door. Super disappointed in this place.

edward adams: Great place to have a get together awesome DJs wonderful visual attractions the staff was incredible I can’t wait to go back and have a party with all of my friends and meet some new ones

Veronica Lusetti: Went to Living Room DC to celebrate a friend's birthday. At the bar they asked me to leave both my credit card and my ID to order. I gave the bartender both of my cards and ordered two rail drinks. Didn't order anything else for the rest of the night. I left in a hurry and forgot to get my cards back from the bartender. I went back twice on Thursday nights after 9pm to try to recover my cards but was told I have to arrive at 9pm sharp. Finally on my third attempt I was able to speak with a bouncer he pulled out a small box and checked under the first letter of my last name and told me my cards were not in there. I asked if he could search the rest of the box as maybe the cards were misplaced. He refused to do so, I was frustrated so went back home to order replacement. I checked my bank statement and Living Room charged me a total of $173 for the two drinks I ordered that night. Never going back there again.

Rosebar Lounge: what do users think?

Tiara: I wouldn't recommend this spot for people visiting looking to have a comfortable section to drink and smoke hookah. We booked this section in advanced and told them how many people were in our party. Our section was SUPER small and included an even smaller coffee table and an extended bench. How can seven people use 1 small coffee table. I thought that they would have atleast recommended a larger section based the number of people, but all the sections were pretty much the same size, which resulted in people piling up on benches or standing to get to the hookah or their drinks.

Lane McCall: Pros - Clean environment - Beautiful aesthetics - Great lighting effects - I got compliments lol Cons - Most bartenders are rude - $20 cover (cash only) - Venu is small and cramped - Music was severely lacking

Carson Goff: Come to this bar if you want to fear for your life. Worst crowd of any bar in DuPont. Avoid at all costs.

Tracey Hart: i fly down to dc once in a while to visit friends and family and was very disappointed to learn this place was boring and colorist. They apparently dont hire women of deeper complexions and their waitresses are online arguing, being fatphobic, and unprofessional. I could never do that and expect to keep my job but of course this place has no standards so im not too surprised. Spend your money somewhere else.

Google User: Guess you gotta be a somebody to get a table or section here, I reached out way in advance before my birthday letting them know I was interested in getting a table for when I come celebrate my birthday. Someone responded asked for my contact info, left me on read and never heard from them again. It would’ve been my first time in DC and my first time going here.

Shaneaka R.: The music was great in the room all the way to the back. Loved the decor on the ceiling. You must have to reserve the hookah because it was sold out.

soccerqueen181: Not professional! From the hiring process to the social media presence they do not know how to conduct business. They also refuse to hire women of color which is confusing because DC is referred to as chocolate city. Definitely take your business elsewhere because they need to actually learn how to run an establishment properly.

Ed E: This place is a waste of time and money. Bad music, overpriced drinks, they want to charge a lot of money to get in, bully bouncers pushing people because they feel less in their small brains, small space. There are many other options in DC than this awful place.

Mrs. A: Entirely to small inside. They had it packed and it was no room to dance shoot we barely could walk. It definitely was giving kiss whoever is in front of you vibes. I hated it and I think they were desperate for money the way they squeezed everybody in there. I was literally only there for 15min and that was just tryna use the bathroom. I paid my money just too pee I never enjoyed myself couldn't even raise my hands

Brandon Jones: It might very well be awesome, but when I went, it was deadlocked in the back bar.

Sachi Nightclub: what do users think?

Briann D.: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! Crooks!!! Some of the cocktail waitress will lie and steal your money behind your back and then play dumb… the menus are sticky as hell. The place never looks clean & the bathrooms are a nightmare. It’s like this place can’t afford janitors?? I wouldn’t be surprised if I caught a disease from drinking from this place. A cockroach was also found near the Dj booth. It’s not worth paying $1000 for a table that is disgusting and that all the bottle presentations are badly done. C R O O K S. You are better off going to something on Connecticut Ave. everything made in this establishment was cheaply done.

Ahmed Iqbal: One of the worst service/ experience I’ve had…. It was our friends birthday and we put a deposit down for a section, we got there around 11:15 the security guard told us they are still setting up and the DJ isn’t here….. 1. You guys have two DJ’s on your flyer and both aren’t here …. 2. Your flyer and establishment states that “doors open at 10pm” Regardless, the way they handled it was… hey you guys can wait outside we should be ready in 10 minutes. 30 minutes go by in freezing temperatures and not a single update as to what is going on. What I got out of it was it was a revenue scheme. Apparently they had a “open bar from 10-12” but they were trying to prevent people from going in between those times to save money and get people to buy their expensive drinks as the other reviewers were mentioning. Once the clock struck 12 guess what… DJ is ready and they started letting people in… anyways we left cause I was about to lose a few fingers if we stood out there any longer. Terrible service don’t bother coming here!

Sarah White: Sachi Nightclub is beautifully decorated on the inside and so unique. The sound and lighting is by far the best in city, and the service is fantastic. All the staff is extremely friendly and attentive! I'll be coming back all the time!

Melanie Estrada: Amazing night club run by DC's best hospitality group, "The Babylon Group DC". The decor at Sachi was stunning and service was great. Looking forward to the opening of the rest of their venues! This group is definitely taking over DC.

Bolo 'Ye: I LOVED THIS PLACE!!! The music was GREAT big dance floor and the crowd is good. If you want a section you’re probably looking at $1200.

Parker Hierle: Sachi Nightclub is amazing experience! The decor inside is fantastic, the club is very clean, with exceptional service. By far my favorite nightclub in the city!

Chelsea Andrews: Not the best place not the worst place. Went here for halloween to support a friends party. Bartenders were texting which I dont mind at all-but uhm I do mind when you're texting so much that you have to be flagged down or im waiting a brick to get your attention. Bathrooms couldve been cleaner What I loved? Hookah was pulling and that can keep me quiet! lol They automatically add gratuity so watch out for double tipping! Unless you got fabulous service of course.

Raian Perez: Came here to see a popular DJ. The sounds system is great and the production is decent. The cover was wayyyy to high and the bartenders were kinda rude. Warning: drinks are extremely overpriced, I suggest you pregame first.

Redd Foxx: It seemed like they did not have the heat turned on (1/05/18) and most were in jackets and coats including bartenders and other staff. Gratuity is already added to the drink prices, so beware of that if you’re paying cash as they don’t inform you. Also, the hookah guy is rude from “hello”.

Darren Duckett: Went there last night. Horrible service! Girl at front bar had an horrible attitude! She gave me the most watered down jack and coke Ive ever had in my life. Not even a full shot was put in my glass and charged me 11 plus gratuity! Don’t go here! ... I bartend and Im telling you that place is not where you want to go for Drinks

Melinda Eleazer (Mel): Shaquita Lee's Drag Brunch is the best show I've seen!! So funny and entertaining, such a great time. My friends and I had a freaking blast! And the food, of my goodness!! If they only served food it would be worth the cost. The food is STUPID GOOD!! Shaquita put her damn foot in it!

Anna Singleton-Smith: It is a place where you can meet fun people and enjoy yourself without dealing with disorderly conduct. The security has everything under control. The food and drinks are good. I love that you feel like family with the staff and guest . I also love the interaction with the photographers. We have fun taking pictures. Ms. Olivia does a wonderful job with this club. I recommend the Chateau to everyone. ❤❤❤

Rhania Reeves: Great Bar.... But don't recommend drinking much..... Too HOTNo Air or should I say it doesn't work well and it smells like chicken grease

Zakkiyyah Kears: Best Brunch I've ever been to the food was everything and the show was more than entertaining. I will go again sooner than later

N1K: I have been trying to reach someone and have call this number but its not in service. What's is the best phone number to talk to a person ?

montrese moon: A memorial celebration of life for my friend Joy. It was very nice!!

Tamara Phelps: Fabulous....EU did the dam thing....never went in before today. Was pleasantly surprised 😊😊😊 🤪

SM Proctor: This is a nice spot to go and hang out with. It's a spot for an older crowd but that means less drama, stronger drinks and GOOD FOOD! Them ladies put work into making food. They have fried fish, wings, fries and other things I have yet to try. The music is good too, not too much old school, but just the right mix.

Candy Bar: This club is the BEST oldie club in DC. I love coming to the Chateau Remix because the owner and staff is friendly, it's always clean and the Dj's music is right on time. If you like being in a safe place, dancing and meeting people well this is the place to be on a Friday nite.

Miss Butter: Nice venue but can be a little stuffy. Overall nice venue to have events

Echostage: what do users think?

Brian Copes: First time checking out this music venue space in DC. I loved the big space for DC standards. Multiple levels with plenty of bathrooms and attendants working the bathrooms too. Went to DC capital pride event and it was nice. Overall, plenty of staff to ensure your safety and good lighting along with DJs. It’s a great place to have a club night in the area.

Lamar Kelliehan: The Griselda concert was live!!!!! Echostage is not huge, so for the price I paid I was way closer than I feel like I should've been. The pics I posted were right before Griselda came out we worked out way way closer to the front. Had a blast going back very soon. Also no violence after the show so that was cool too.

Stefan Kowalewski: Great venue!! I was very impressed by the staff and the cleanliness of Echostage! The staff is very well organized and helpful. The venue is kept clean and well laid out. There's no obstructed view from the main floor, which is awesome! The merch counter is in the corner, out of the way. Restrooms are either side of the building. There is a long bar on one side of the venue. They do have a coat check which is very nice - $5 pet item. I look forward to attending more events at Echostage!

Gavin Chen: Spectacular venue for electronic music. Strict security (goes through wallets). Free water if you walk up to the security near the stages. A lot of bathroom space available. Great audio quality and open space for dancing.

Nik Lathia: I love Echostage! The layout is ideal for concerts and there's easy access to the bar areas for drinks or water. The bathrooms are easily accessible and have plenty of stalls to accommodate large groups. Really well designed venue and the lights and sounds were awesome!

Charlie Butchko: It was awesome! I got to see DJ Diesel (Shaq) perform life. The bathrooms are very clean, with attendants there to soap your hands and hand you paper towels. As well as that, was close to the front during the performance and there was staff handing water bottles out to the crowd. I got a few drinks at the bar (tequila sunrise and 2 shots of vodka,) each were $10. By the end of the show it got pretty crowded, so if you’re claustrophobic make sure to mentally prepare yourself, or stay further away from the stage. All else aside, for sure gather a group of buddies and find a show you like to check out echostage!

Millennial Max: I've lost count of the times I been here! First time I crowd surfed 😂 and I'm a big boy.. Just saw Excision and it was SURREAL, would definitely recommend Just make sure you're good with transportation!

Brian Keith: Great time. The staff were really professional and caring. I liked seeing how they were treating everyone. Make me feel welcome. I would definitely go back.

So Maryn: The dress code here for DJ events seem to gravitate toward “less is more” or think “beach attire”. Pants optional in the sense that bikini bottoms are acceptable as minimum bottom half. Shirt optional for some men. Beware of “bikini trains” moving quickly through a crowd. Noticed an innocent couple who got divided instantly by a train of arrogant bikini wearing club goers. If you don’t pay attention such bikini trains can step on your foot as they stampede you by. Forgot to bring my glow sticks but it was nice to see some colorful glow shoes and even glow fingertips. First level has an open wide space and second level has table service. Restrooms are easy to find and each stall has a note to remind those that only one person per stall is allowed. Once you get in past thorough security it’s not easy to get out as although exit signs are marked, where to actually exit from a lane perspective is hard to find. Parking is challenging near the venue and expect to pay $40-60 right next door. Echostage I thought you were a top notch global venue but you fell short when it comes to servicing your global clientele. An Asian bartender refused to serve us drinks at the bar even when we were standing right in front of her with no one else around. She did however serve others who approached after us asking them what they want. She seemed to be racially profiling my friend who was wearing a religious head covering. We found another bartender who was much more friendlier and we still had fun.

Aaron Shenk: This was my first time at this venue, and I was so so impressed. We saw Chelsea Cutler, and the venue and staff were so great. For starters, there were so many staff on hand to answer any questions and there was plenty of security to keep everyone feeling safe. For the actual experience, the sound system was phenomenal, the security guards passed out water bottles to the crowed between performances (!!!) and just went above and beyond the entire time. I will definitely plan on returning to this venue!

Opera Ultra Lounge: what do users think?

Denise Morris: Fun place the music selection is a nice mix of hip hop r&b Afro beats and a bit Latin but def they feel the audience .. bathroom ls are typical for the club… we had a section and it was cool
Response: Nice partying with you Denise! Don't be shy and feel free to put us on to any music that gets you feeling yourself, we got you! 😉 We hope to have you and your friends back next weekend!

Tina M: I was surprised when first walking in how small this place is. The lights and decor are nice.. but that's where it ends. I approached bar for a drink and 3 bartenders just stood there, it was not busy. Finally one asked if I wanted a drink. The entire area for tables is roped off, so unless you have table service you are treated like second class. No where to sit. The tables surround the "dance floor" so forget dancing unless you're doing it directly in front of DJ both or bar. The bathroom is HORRIBLE. Only 2 of 4 toilets working. Poor lighting. Crowded. Paint chipping. A lady sitting on an old folding chair to take tips for handing your a Paper towel, showing you to open stall (there's only 2 options) , and keeping it tidy. With the place looking "fancy" from the outside and lighting effects inside you would think the bathroom would be posh. Hell no. I didn't even WANT to sit in those stalls. The staff lacked any type of enthusiasm. It was an awful experience and I'll never return.

Eboni: Definitely enjoyed myself for my sisters bday party!! The place was JUMPING🙂
Response: It's cause it was your sister's bday! 😉 Lol it's always JUMPING, but you made our night that much extra, thank you Eboni!

Jayla Green: I got a table here about 3years ago & paid over $800. The bouncer came to kick us out of the section because we wasn’t keeping bottles coming. I would never support this club again.

renee gilliam: It was a great place with a lot of security!! The only thing is you pay a lot for a table that doesn't give you a lot of room!!!
Response: Thank you Renee! We appreciate the feedback, we're always working on improving our customer experience, we hope to party again with you soon!

Nicole Johnson: Went here on Saturday and it was sooo packed you couldn’t even see the lay out of the venue! And it was $40 per person for a cover charge!!! I have been to WAY better clubs in Vegas & Miami and never paid that for a cover in my life! Not worth it!

April: First time partying in DC this place is amazing I definitely recommend for a great night out
Response: Thanks April, come party with us again!

K B: Service is terrible. Bouncers are rude. Hookah is electronic. I will never come here by choice, just when invited. I only gave it two stars because the inside looks nice.

Evan Ney: I want to give this place a five star, but I can't. The bartenders and manager are excellent. The bartenders serve fast, efficient and tasty drinks. The manager is quick to solve any problems. The staff at the door are dismissive, rude and ignorant. There are times when I couldn't get in because of them. Contact the manager directly on Facebook. This tends to alleviate problems. You may want to consider going somewhere else, if you rely on the use of a wheelchair, though. The staff at the front door will tell you they forgot he key to the elevator or the person that has it isn't there, despite the fact that the manager can get you in. The staff at the door make me feel discriminated against. If you use a wheelchair, you may just want to go, to see what I mean. It is not professional at all. I never see anyone that uses a wheelchair going there If you do manage to make it inside, you'll have an exceptional time.

Ari: Awesome DC venue! They book the best DJs in the city, I always have a so much fun with my friends. Security is professional and thorough, and all of the bartenders and cocktail waitresses are amazing. They all make sure everyone is taken care of and has a good time. If you're looking for a party, this is the place to be!
Response: Thank you Ari, happy to know you had a great time with us, we not only pick the best DJs, but also the best staff. Can't wait to party with you and your friends again soon!

Studio 52: what do users think?

Mitko Georgiev: Went for a fundraiser and it was great. Ghe staff was awesome and the music. The only problem is only 2 bathrooms. Highly recommend

Coco Tinsley: Great location for special occasions. They also have spiked gelato stand inside. Great people. Have your event here!

Aaron Kelly: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueHad an event at Studio 52 a while back great staff and a beautiful space. I highly recommend it!Follow me on IG @blackstylematters

Ruben Bermudez: I've hosted 2 Makeup Classes in this space and i loved it each time. So did my attendees. Its spacious and clean and the owners are super responsive and professional. Furniture is separate from the space but none the less i brought my own and was totally happy with the outcome each time. I highly recommend this space for all occasions with in the capacity provided.

Jordan Christopher: Hidden Gem! We were looking for a place to do our annual showcase. We found Studio 52 to be a great urban oasis. The venue is great for any kind of corporate or social event; meetings, launch event, pop-up, holiday party, birthday party, sweet 16 or weddings. Then venue is industrial chic has a great glass door that opens up. You can imagine and do so much there. A lot of venues have stuffy staff, their team are great to work with. Chelsea was super accommodating with our plan and Drew was not only thorough, but cool. Reggie and Eric, the event managers went out of there way to help us. They are super friendly and gave great advice on set up. Antonio works security and is cool too. We plan to do a lot of events at Studio 52.

Rachel Fredrick: Just held a workshop at Studio 52 and the venue is amazing! The staff is exceptional and goes the extra step to ensure your event is successful! Reggie is fantastic and very helpful! Also, the venue is located next to a parking garage which was very convenient for our guest. Thanks again to Chelsea, Drew, and Reggie for the amazing customer service. This venue will not disappoint!

Susan Berry: This place was awesome. The young men that were there were outstanding. They did an amazing job helping us get set up. They had the hall looking like it should have been in Better Homes and Gardens. It was simply gorgeous. They even helped us cleanup and pack up. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Peter Jones: Nice meeting space! Great ambience and great location.

Furever & Fur Always: Studio 52 is such a hip & trendy space! It's so versatile to be your dream venue! It's in a great location for guests to get in and out of DC easily. You'll definitely want to check it out!

Margaret Brunner: My husband and I held our elopement party/casual wedding reception here and we could not have been happier. The owners, Drew and Chelsea, went out of their way to deliver stellar customer service and were incredibly flexible and responsive to us. They allowed us to get food truck catering (and helped secure parking) and bartending services where we could purchase our own alcohol, which saved us a ton of money. Plus the space is just beautiful - it has an open, industrial feel with a wall made from 100+ year-old reclaimed farmhouse wood. There is a digital photo booth built in that our guests adored and a garage door that can open up, creating a very cool vibe. I would definitely recommend Studio 52 for anyone looking to have a wedding reception, or any other type of event!

The Park at 14th: what do users think?

Racquelle White: I have been going to park for near 5 years and I never quite liked it because I used to go when they were more of a club and I never thought I would really pick up and the vibes were a bit off. However, in the last year it has become one of my favorite restaurants to visit in DC! I have gone a few times with my friend for fancy dinners where we dress up And their food is actually top tier here. I've also attended some of their black professional networking events and paties which I enjoyed!

Gabriella WOWITSGOLDIE: Had a blast here !! Food was really good for brunch … it’s like a big plate of food and unlimited mimosas … salmon was so good ! Wings came off the bone, delicious. You pay one fee and spend like 3 hours there. The music was pretty good too, after you drink a few glasses you might even get up and dance. Bathrooms upstairs are very tiny and a little outdated other then that service was very good and food was great would definitely recommend! We will be back!

Tasha Fuller: It was all good, from the drinks, appetizers, entrees, to desserts and service. As you can see we were ready and The Park at 14th did not disappoint. We all agreed that the spinach and artichoke dip was “da bomb” the dip was creamy and full of flavor and the the fresh baked chips were the perfect compliment. We also enjoyed the shrimp and calamari. For dinner we ordered jerk wings for the table and I had the lamb, and I was not ashamed to pick up and clean the bone, it was that good. Everyone ordered the brownie for dessert and then we ordered a bread pudding for everyone to sample. I could have eaten them both and some would say I tried. You must check them out when they reopen in March.

Solana Cox: We came here all the way from Pittsburgh to celebrate our 5 year anniversary weekend. Every occasion and celebration that comes up, I will choose this place every time. The service and the DJ was on point. After a nice fine dining experience the night before, this is exactly what we were looking for the next day. Good vibes, good music, good food and drinks, and an all around fun atmosphere. When we told them it was our anniversary, they went above and beyond for us the entire night we were there. All the staff were so helpful and kept checking in on us even if it wasn’t our actual waiter. Special shout out to Dre which I’m assuming is the manager, that guy was running circles assisting staff. I’m a manager myself and now I feel like I need to step my game up watching that guy work lol. He was on top of everything and made sure we left with a memorable experience. I plan on coming back every time I visit DC. If you’re looking for a night out with good food and drinks, a live DJ playing hip hop/ r & b hits from early to mid 2000s, and all around exceptional service, this place is it. Highly recommend.

Jenn (Jenn): A small group of friends and I had dinner at The Park for my friend’s birthday and it was a good time. It was our first time eating dinner here and the food was presently good. I ordered the baby lamb chops with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My meal would have been really good but the gravy was salty so that ruined my meal. The lamb chops were nicely cooked, tender and juicy. The size is accurate for the name, and they were indeed baby size.

Lani: It was okay. The food / drinks came out fast. The happy hour only had two drinks on the menu and they weren’t strong. It was busy so we didn’t see our servers as much. I feel like the entrees are over priced now. We didn’t get enough to match the $30-40 price tags per entree. The wings werent good anymore, they were soggy. The vibe is definitely different now that it’s a restaurant only, which isn’t a bad thing but it should be noted. I think the quantity of food should match what you’re paying. I liked that I could let any server know my order if I didn’t see my server and they took my requests. But I don’t see myself returning here. The servers energy was that I couldn’t just come for drinks anymore and had to order a meal and not just appetizers. He was pushy & kept asking me what I wanted to eat and I had ordered many drinks and apps at the point, didn’t like that. The party next to us was overwhelmingly loud and we couldn’t hear each other.

Kar Ruiz: Great experience. We went for my friend’s birthday and the service was excellent; food amazing. We just loved it. Planing to come back.

Behanka G.: Food was bomb! Drinks were good. I had the pan seared chicken, a tuxedo, and daily punch. First time here and I had a friend visiting. She enjoyed it as well. The place was lively and well decorated. Parking was hard to find on a friday night but luckily there’s valet for $25.

Dan Richards: Went here for brunch as part of a group conference. They gave us a sampler of different foods and everything was great. From the French Toast to the wings every bite was an experience. The mac & cheese was one of the best that I have had at a restaurant. The eggs were fluffy and the bacon was perfect.

Latasha Perry: We made a reservation on open table the day prior as a recommendation from a friend. At our arrival we were greeted and seated promptly. The staff was friendly, attentive and swift. Our food arrived hot and was so good. The jerk wings amazing and the salmon juicy and flavorful. Mac and cheese was perfect. To note: There is a bar for seating as well. The atmosphere is dark themed and the music was complimentary of a Saturday night out.

Union Stage: what do users think?

Mrs. Dino: Small intimate venue with great sound and lineups. Can get pretty crowded but still a fun place to see a show. The VIP area is a little weird, I wouldn't pay extra for it, as it's just a few tables roped off behind General Admisson. I doubt you would be able to see if it was a packed show. Easy to Uber or Lyft to, and is located in a super cute part of the Wharf District. If I lived in DC I would definitely come here often.

Dan Rice: What a great little venue! My kid and I went to see Cybertronic Spree in November. The sound system was perfect for the setting. I didn't feel crowded, the bartenders were excellent. I would definitely go back! Being in the southern outskirts of DC is nice for me because I'm coming in from the south.
Response: glad to hear you had a good time at union stage! - luke

Tricia Alletzhauser: We had a great time here. We saw Niko Moon. It was an excellent show and the bar is a decent venue to watch a show. The bar staff was very nice. Overall, we had a great time.
Response: Thank you!

Dave Nemetz: Great little joint to hear some live music. Easy to get to, just a short walk from the L’Enfant Plaza Metro stop. Saw Will Hoge, and was right up next to the stage. Looking forward to seeing more shows here soon.

Chelsea M: Attended a show at Union Stage this weekend with my child & we had a great time! The venue is very intimate so the band can really feed off the crowd's energy and vice versa. I thought it was cool how to venue is basically under the restaurant. The only thing I thought was weird was the "premier plus seating" was only 4 seats roped off to the side... other than that it was great!

Oooma L.: A most excellent venue if standing (as in NO seating for regular ticket holders) amid a sea of mostly unmasked bipeds on a concrete floor in dark, windowless dungeons excites you. Featured music acts are one or two steps above what is offered at local suburban coffee houses. Meh. Most of the staff were polite.
Response: hi oooma. the floor is wood and the acts are all nationally or internationally touring performers. but yes, most of our concert-goers are bipeds!

Mike Davidson: Cool basement bar for live music right in the Wharf with a decent selection of liquor, rotating drafts, and bottles. Small bar food menu and limited seating. I'd recommend parking a few blocks away and walking if it's the weekend.

Maria Cecilia Pinto de Moura: The Union Stage space is very good, but the 80s dance party on June 25 with DJ Dave Paul was disappointing for 2 reasons. First, too many of the songs were covers of the originals. Second, there was a very dominant drum machine added to all the songs. The songs completely lost their character and were blended together into a dull mass-produced soup. The message that came across was that after all the music from that decade couldn't have been that good, if we have to 'improve' it to motivate people to dance.
Response: hi maria. sorry you didn't enjoy the show. email me at luke@unionstage.com and we can take care of you. - luke

Ann Brennan: Great venue for music. Very intimate without being too crowded. Clean. Easy to park. Good beer selection and attentive staff.
Response: Thank you! Glad you enjoyed your time!

natalie !: Be cautious buying tickets from this venue! I was going to see a show on Jan 25 and it was postponed. The band I was going to see posted about their new tour dates and they were no longer going to perform at union stage and instead at a venue called DC9. I never received a refund from union stage, despite their website states you will receive a refund if a show is canceled. There is my $50 down the drain. I emailed them twice and no response. Very unfortunate that they're deciding to take advantage of their customers and ignoring them. I've been to this venue before and enjoyed my time there. But now, I am going to stay away and don't want to support this venue. Edit: I emailed Luke a week ago and still have yet to receive a response. Disappointed and definitely won't be supporting this venue or any of their affiliate venues..
Response: Go ahead and email us at luke@unionstage.com and we’ll take care of it.
