Dupont Nails and Spa: what do users think?

Maddiw215: The SNS selection was only maybe 50 colors, and the manicure was the worst I’ve had in DC. Multiple nails are different lengths and the polish is uneven at the base on multiple nails. The reason I give them two stars is because the nail technician was willing to try and make it right but really it was unsalvageable.

Pamela Agava: The technician was nice and courteous and did a great pedicure but was horrible at shaping and doing overlay for my hands. When I asked for a new person she begged me to let her finish and assured she was going to make it right. End of story, I left with her drawing blood through careless use of the tools on three different fingers and a nail overlay that looks like a five year old did it. All I can say is beware here—there are qualified techs and obvious novices. This place takes the relaxation out of services because you have to watch everything until you’re certain what kind of tech you have.

Amy's Nails & Spa: what do users think?

Myrna Daher: If you are concerned about hygiene, sanitization, genuine communication and professionalism then I would chose another salon. The barbicide used may not be clean and changed as often as it should - being that tools are shared far too quickly once put into the barbicide. The overall upkeep is messy and unprofessional. I truly enjoy supporting small businesses. After being a customer with Amy’s for many years, I ignored her tendencies of being friendly with selective customers and her disingenuous attitude. As I enjoy supporting small businesses, I tried to ignore my experience and discomforts but I will not be silent. Amy appears to be kind but truly shes a bitter rude woman. I had an appointment for 10:30 AM today and I showed up 6 minutes late (15 minute grace period) she spoke rudely to me trying to convince me that my appointment was for 10AM. I tried to effective communicate with her and clarify the misunderstanding but Amy continued to lie, yell and be rude. Amy and her niece her, employee but were sitting on their phones - could have serviced me. Could have compromise with accepting may be there was a misunderstanding. But if you don’t need the money that bad to lose a customer then maybe invest in - proper plexiglass, barbicide, tools, clean up your salon and certainly hire another employee. Such a joke - I definitely saw mice droppings near the restroom - next to your mini kitchen- foul. Get it together Amy. Services: Pedicures , Manicures

Jonnai Howard: Positive: QualityThe staff were super friendly, quick, and definitely left me satisfied with what I got. I also received the milk and honey spa pedicure which was amazing, and I would suggest anyone to try it out sometime :) If you’re reading this go check them out!!

nailsaloon (Logan Circle): what do users think?

Nathalie Denham: The whole staff is so friendly, the salon is so clean, i can’t say enough good things! Ask for Yvonne and tip her well!! They do not skimp on any part of the treatment. I get gel nail polish here now but i used to only do regular organic polish and i swear it lasted almost as long as gel! Totally worth every penny. Space is also beautiful and you’ll never have a more luxurious pedicure chair (it’s literally personal leather couches!)

Lindsey Reyes: I just moved to DC and was worried about finding the right salon, but my first visit to nailsaloon impressed me so much I’ll be back! My nail tech’s name was Altan. I got a gel mani with gel removal with nail art/French and paid $68 before tip Pros: - My nail art came out exactly how I wanted - They put sunscreen on your hands before the gel mani to protect from the light in the lamp - Clean atmosphere, I saw surfaces sanitized regularly during my appointment Cons - gel color selection is limited

Ivy Fortner: Positive: Professionalism, QualityDeep Blue did an amazing job! I got a classic pedicure and SNS. This was my first time doing SNS but now I’m hooked. They were clean and attentive to detail. I will definitely be going back.Service: Pedicures

Gabrielle Doria Rhoads: The employees and the space is nice, but I got a pedicure and gel manicure a week ago and the gel started chipping off almost immediately and then a large portion of it just peeled off out of nowhere. It felt like they were rushing us through and it didn’t cure long enough. The nail tech also made both my feet and hands bleed when cutting the cuticles and my toe was very swollen and painful for about 2 days afterwards. I don’t find the quality to match the price.

Allure Nail Bar: what do users think?

Sebli Deju: I got my eyelashes done on Friday may 13. I explained to the lady that I wanted my eyelashes to the certain way. The answer she gave me was ‘ Don’t worry’ which I thought was real and I thought she really understood what I meant. The place is all about money. They don’t care about the customer’s needs. All they tell you is not to worry which means you should worry more than ever because they are going to make you look something you don’t like or something they think would cost you more, but not your choice. After taking more than 2 hours on my eyelashes I told the lady that I didn’t like the look. It wasn’t the way I wanted it or the way I explained it to her in the beginning. Her answer was still ‘don’t worry don’t worry I’ll fix it and I’ll charge you less’. This isn’t about the money woman. I could have payed better if the service was the way I wanted it. You guys should start Caring about satisfying your customer’s needs not your benefit from doing wrong. I hate the experience and I’ll never try to get it back again at this place. I’ll never recommend people to go there and get upset either. Service: Eyelash extensions

Ericka Morales: Went with my friend for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. We were looking for places that still had slots & when I called the lady was able to make an appt for both of us. We were attended pretty fast, showed them what we wanted and the results were great. The price was reasonable as well. Only reason it’s 4 and not a 5 was because I had to wait a bit for another lady to attend me to finish my nail design that I wanted. But they came out beautiful!

Tiffany Phu: We loved everything about this nail salon. Right when we walked in, we were welcomed with drinks and sat immediately. The massage chairs were comfortable, friendly service, and I loved how my nails turned out. Highly recommend! Good for bigger groups too since they have the space. We felt like we were in a spa!

Meghan Chaney: This was my second time here. The first time was amazing and my gel manicure lasted 3 weeks. Second time not so much. Got my gel manicure on a Wednesday afternoon as of Friday morning all but two nails are completely gone. Gel is supposed to last minimum 2 weeks without chipping and this has never happened to me anywhere else. Worst part is this happened right as I’m leaving town for a wedding. Don’t trust this place!

Enchanted Nails & Spa: what do users think?

Stephanie Enaje: Cheap, Sub-Par Service. Based on my experience and the reviews here, you GET what your PAY for! This is a review of the “esthetician” who did my leg wax. She left behind PATCHES of stray hair and had the nerve to say “All Gone” like I didn’t have two eyes to see it myself. She attempted to tweeze the strays with CHEAP tweezers to no avail. I asked for th tweezers and finished the job MYSELF! Ha! Thinking back, I shouldn’t have paid for this “service”. Are they even licensed? Go anywhere but here ladies.

Lourdes Rnc: Terrible work. I ordered french. The white lines are not straight nor at the same level. The nails are not well covered with polish, but my fingers are. If you see them close, you can see every layer of coat wrongly placed. I kindly asked the girl to fix them, but she end up doing them worst. 12 hours later, the polish is already falling. My friend ordered regular manicure. Hers was awful too and started falling an hour later. We are not coming back.

Wisconsin Nail & Waxing: what do users think?

Anna Normand: Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityWisconsin Nails is amazing!! The salon is very clean, well managed and comfortable and they play great music and TV. Minh is an incredible nail artist and is always able to recreate exactly what I want! Can’t recommend the salon enough.Services: Acrylic nails, Gel manicure, Nail art

Monica Sharp: I’m someone who usually only trusts myself with my nails, but I’m glad that, after 5-6 years of not having professional service done, I trusted my hands and feet to the folks at Wisconsin Nail and Waxing! Online scheduling was a breeze and done 2 hours prior to. Upon arrival, I was greeted right away and the gentleman (sorry, I didn’t catch your name) got right to work. He was patient with me as I decided which color and nail art I wanted to try, and very friendly. Another young lady did my pedicure and she was just as friendly and helpful as the guy was. Honestly, I got that vibe from everyone who worked there. The salon itself is small and intimate—I even struck up conversation with a couple other clients, and that has never happened to me before. It’s also Very clean—the tools were either brand new or completely sanitized. I was a bit surprised that a manicure didn’t come with my dip powder full set, but that’s on me for misunderstanding. Parking is tough, but it’s Georgetown so…that happens and that’s not the salon’s fault. All in all, Wisconsin Nail has a new client! Update (12/18): They did it again! This time, Jenny worked on my nails and executed my gingerbread vision perfectly! I was in a “blah” mood when I came in this morning, and the massages I received, the conversation, and overall service boosted my mood! Update (2/17): “🎵Sometimes you want to go, where everybody knows your name…🎵” This is my second visit since December, and while the work was still incredible (check the pic with the green and yellow nails), this is about the service. I walked in and was greeted by name, and genuinely asked about my recent issues with family loss and illness. This is a salon that truly cares. They don’t only care about you, but they care about your nails too. They saved my nails from the botched job I had done when I had to go home for a few weeks as well. Services: Foot massage , Manicures , Dip powder , Pedicures

JADORE BEAUTY SPA: what do users think?

Carly Nicholas: I am so happy I came to Jadore for my first ever brazilian wax. I felt comfortable the whole time and there was nearly no pain! I will definitely be back

Dayton Slye: I have been going to Jenny for multiple years and I recommend her to anyone and everyone! She is absolutely amazing! The services are painless, comfortable, clean, and she is meticulous about everything. If I could give 100 stars, I would! Since Jenny has updated her space, I wanted to update my review! I went for a wax and it was still perfect but now she is offering nail services! I got a basic pedicure and a dip manicure and both turned out perfectly. Cindy was the nail tech I worked with and she was so friendly, made sure everything was perfect, and helped me pick colors based off of a design I showed her! Have had the pleasure of working with more of the nail techs and have not had one bad experience. 10 out of 10!

Tenley Nails Washington: what do users think?

Angelina Gonzalez: I had Amy do my nails and she did an amazing job. I loved how she did the design, she mirrored the design, which is exactly how I usually want it. They provide amazing service

Aliyah Moñet: I came here yesterday and yesterday will be my last day EVER coming to this establishment. I found this nail salon because I used to go to Wilson and let them do my wax service. So yesterday I went to get a wax the wax was fine no problems with that. The problem is my nails! I had Nom and she was kind of rough and doing my nails fast it was 7 and the store closes in a hour so I guess she wanted to rush doing my nails. Prior to her starting she asked me what length I wanted I told her long but she cut them short. On top of that I told her I wanted coffin shaped nails but she just gave me almond shaped and crooked nails. When she put on the black polish that was also rushed because they are not fully polished. When I told her I didn’t like the length she kept complaining she’ll have to take the whole set off. Like I know ! But I really was annoyed because she went around the shop telling everyone instead of doing what I requested. I already spent $72 and on top a extra $30 for nails you’ll think she’ll be more understanding. However she did take $5 off the set but I’m still not returning and I’m taking these nails off ASAP!!

Janna H.: Extremely rude, and rushed. I’m surprised this place has 4 stars. The nail tech acted as if my filling was a race and he was doing it as fast as he possibly could. The results look like it too. Sadly a lot of salons are like this but I wouldn’t give this one my business a second time. 0/10 Service: Acrylic nails

Judith Lisansky: Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityKudos to Mimosa. I went recently for a mani pedi. I had fractured my arm so I wanted to cheer myself up. The fellow who did my nails (sorry I did not get his name) was great. He did a lovely job on my nails and was super considerate of my broken arm. Lila Vogel: I had Dennis this past weekend do tips with a gel manicure. Overall the experience was so pleasant and my nails are gorgeous!! I think it might have to be my favorite manicure I have ever gotten (I’m not even that picky, he just did such an amazing job). First of all, I called Sunday Morning and he was willing to fit me in right then which was very flexible of him. At each step of the manicure process he would make sure I was happy with the shape, color, etc. He also even added jewels to my nails when I asked halfway through the appointment! So accommodating and such a reasonable price point (especially for being in Georgetown)!! Even a week later my nails still look flawless, I am getting compliments, and all the baby jewels are intact! I could not be happier with my nails and experience at this salon. I find no need to go anywhere else in DC! Service: Acrylic nails

Britnee’ Morgan: First time trying out this nail salon and they exceeded my expectations! Great customer service and beautiful nail art. Thank you!Services: Manicures, Pedicures

Eastern Market Nails: what do users think?

Laurin Thompson: Let me start off by saying I get my nails done almost religiously every two to three weeks. I know a good job when I see one. This place is rated an overall 4.5 stars and I don’t believe it deserves that high of a rating. I went in with a picture of what I was wanting and everything and nobody who helped me was able to give me what I wanted. Fair enough everyone was very polite, but being nice and friendly doesn’t equal a good job. I don’t think the nail techs are used to people being as watchful and maybe that’s why the stars are so high, but if you want really good quality nails done I’m sorry to say this is not the place for you and I just don’t recommend it.

Leshia Cushing: My appointment elsewhere fell through, so popped to the nearest place. This place is in a cute location with lots of people-watching but is not one to visit by choice. While I was appreciative of the closely-monitored glass of white wine (served in a champagne flute), the tech was quick to advise owner allows only one. She walks around constantly overseeing the techs and is quick to reinforce mask usage. I’m vaccinated and also want to feel comfortable and pampered at a salon. I was charged more than what is advertised via the website but still tipped 40%. It’s flighty and not as indulgent an experience as should be a nail salon. Won’t be returning but “Kay” did a good job with my nails. Did I file when I got home? Yes. Eh. The search continues. Service: Acrylic nails

Teya Schneider: Scam. Way overcharged. Got what was supposed to be a $25 basic manicure, but was instead charged $45 and I didn’t even get polish, which comes with the basic manicure because I was told it would be extra money. He charged me $45 just to remove my 3 acrylic nails. Literally so rude and so terrible.Service: Manicures

Elizabeth Osborn: Positive: Cleanliness, QualityLove this place! I have four nail salons within a 5 minute walk from my home, but choose to go a little farther to Allure because of how great their manicurists are. I also appreciate that the salon is spacious, so it never feels like you’re on top of people, even when it’s crowded.

Varnish Lane Mt. Vernon Triangle: what do users think?

Hayley Andrews: Terrible customer service. We called in advance to say we were arriving 10 minutes late and they said it wasn’t a problem. When we arrived, we were told we were only getting a 5 minute manicure due to another appointment and that we had to pay full price and we had no option to cancel. I cannot believe I just paid $28 for a regular 5 min manicure because I arrived 10 minutes late. Super inflexible policy - the worst nail salon I’ve ever visited and the manicure will definitely not last more than a day. We will never be coming back. Service: Manicures

Darrah Joy Clay: I live in the Navy Yard and was hopeful this new salon would be a great experience offering a calm and luxurious experience with a quality gel mani and pedi. Unfortunately the quality of their products is terrible. The average gel mani lasts one week at best. The services are upwards of $100 and do not last at all. I’ve been to the salon twice. My first experience someone came in with a similar complaint. My second experience I unfortunately was the person who returned with chipped nails - not just one but 5/10. I encourage anyone who is going for gel to look elsewhere and save your money. Other salons like NailSalon and Cosmopolitan have better longer lasting gel or SNS. It may be that the waterless feature doesn’t fully remove the oils from the body which reduces the effect of the gel. I’ve actually had regular polish last longer. Lastly the customer service is a 6/10 the team is cordial and responsive but not incredibly accommodating given the price and poor quality of their gel materials. They canceled my rescheduled appointment last minute and only offered to fix the damaged nails and not redo the manicure. That would have made it look worse. They weren’t concerned about the quality of the work but rather slapping more peeling gel on my nails. Save your time, your money and find another option. It should be called “Vanishing Lane” because the polish vanishes in days.

Nav Sandhu: The staff is super friendly but not everyone is trained. Andy is the person to see cause he seems to know his stuff. I got a liquid gel refill with gel polish and wanted a snowflake design, opted for the sticker but it never got put on properly. Literally got this done at 5:30 and two hours later it’s coming off. I would come back for a basic service but anything beyond that seems difficult for the staff (however Andy appeared experienced) but they are really nice.

Four Seasons Nails and Spa: what do users think?

Celia Solloway: I have been going to this salon for almost 10 years and live in Arlington, VA. The sisters who own this salon could not be any kinder and professional...they go out of their way to provide the best service possible in a lovely and clean setting. They are accommodating and very skilled at what they do...the bottom line is they want you to be happy. I would never go anywhere else...Lina, Cathy, and Cindy are simply the best! Services: Gel manicure , Dip powder , Foot massage , Manicures , Waxing , Pedicures

Roshni Shah: Rushed job! I came here to get a full set acrylic with gel nail polish. The work was done as I asked however the finishing touches were done so poorly. Definitely not worth the $70! The nail technician seems in such a rush to finish, she did not bother to check if the nail color was going through to the edges of the nail. The color was applied so lightly, despite the fact that the color was a darker shade and I told her to apply a proper coat. In addition to that, my nails are naturally squoval shaped and I asked her to do a rounded shape, which I understand can be difficult, but she did not take the time to round out the sides. The service was way too rush and keep in mind that I came in at 6:30, with maybe 1 more person after me, and they close at 8. If only they spent a bit more time cleaning up the nails then rushing through. Save your money and go somewhere that isn’t going to just rush through.
