Landmark's E Street Cinema: what do users think?

Laura Belles: What a gem. You're not going to get the best sound or recliner seats but this place is still a gem. It was super clean, less expensive than Regal or Alamo and had a good concession. I have probably walked past this theater 100 times and I finally went in tonight to watch Downton Abbey. I'll be back over and over again and am looking forward to seeing some of the independent films that were previewed.

Chase Carrell: Excellent full bar/concession stand, with a clean/friendly atmosphere. Would be a 5 star if they had Icees and reclining seats (currently old school theater seats, though still comfy). Theater 4 is nice and large.

Phin Yeee: Love this place. They have fun midnight showings at an affordable price. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They even check if you qualify for any discounts before you purchase. Plus, Mondays and Tuesdays are only $7. Even if you buy from their website they have a very forgiving cancelation policy.

Thomas Ratliff: E Street is still classic. Get candy or hot snacks, have a beer or a wine, see an amazing independent, foreign or cult film in style. And all at good prices for downtown DC. Love this theater

Jessica McNutt: We've had some issues getting tickets and there is no cellphone signal in the actual theatre, which is a problem for me given my job. Otherwise it's a solid theatre that offers a decent selection.

Moxxie & Luci: More classical than harkins theater and see alot of classic/retro movies too! Not to mention the employees there are kind too. Hope they have a great day

Lyndsay Sheldon: I was traveling from out of state, site seeing. Where I was traveling from, the mask mandate has been lifted. With this being said, curtain establishments in Washington D.C and Virginia do not require masks. We used the parking garage and took the elevator from the garage into the theater. The parking garage does not have signs stating masks required. When we exited the elevator a woman at the front desk said "can I help you?". We politely said "no, we have to step outside" then she screamed, without a mask "I WONT LET YOU BACK IN HERE WITHOUT A MASK". We left. Although it was not our intention to see a movie, if we wanted too, it wouldn't be here. She was completely rude.

Mike Wagner: They play limited release movies and serve beer, wine, and more gourmet-styled food than the chains do. That makes this place exceptional. Enter through the front doors and you're at a kiosk or using the human guest service employee to get your ticket(s). After that, you take stairs/elevator down into the dark basement where your cinematic experience begins. Bathrooms on the right, concessions on the left, and your theater awaits you straight ahead. Go there and have a blast!

Vijay Nilekani: Good selection of movies. But service attitude was lacking in some of the employees. For example I needed phone reception in the downstairs lobby for pressing personal reasons.(I was from out of town. )There were 3 strong wifi sources for Landmark Cinemas. Yet they lied to me that there was none available.

Gena Jackson: first time back to the movies in 2 years since the pandemic, and i was so disappointed. i called in advance about the head pieces for the hearing impaired. they confirmed they were there. unfortunately, they didnt tell me they dont work. i missed the first 10 mins of the movie because the headpiece was so scratchy and mostly only receiving static feedback. the rating gets 2 stars because the guy TRIED to give me a working one. when i returned it the woman up front told me “if i were you i would avoid theater 3” as if i have a choice when im seeing a specific movie. parking was 25 dollars!!!! with no warning. ive never paid that much at e street so it must be a new thing. i wont be back.

The Avalon Theatre: what do users think?

Cristian Marin: The movie was great! However, the staff was disrespectful; expected to the black woman who is so lovely to my guest. Also, I was falsely accused when I took a picture of the ceiling because I love the artwork. The person (male) claims that I was recording the entire film and didn't see where I was aiming at. I cooperated with the staff (male) and encouraged them to look over them to prove them wrong; he refused, didn't cooperate, and asked me to take another picture when the light was on. I was dissatisfied with his behavior. But I was satisfied with the film (Coda) I recommended, and the black woman is such a professional service.

Matthew Lockwood: I love movies and movie theaters... I like the arts, independent cinema, cocktails, date nights, good nonprofits, etc... the folks who run the Avalon are exceptional and hire great staff... but I really wish the Avalon offered ONE family-friendly screening a week. This could take place Saturday or Sunday mornings when the theater is free, or even take advantage of the second screen. This would generate a good deal of much-needed revenue for a nonprofit, entice people back to the cinema after COVID, and introduce a new generation of screen-obsessed kids to the BIG screen. (I will get this event sponsored in 5 minutes so it's all $$.) I have mentioned this to the proprietors, this is the least important issue currently happening in the world, and the Avalon is already one of my five previous lifetime Google Maps reviews (even though it's the best local search platform ever created and should also include a rec for Muchas Gracias)... it's just looking like rain this afternoon and watching the Greatest Showman with the kids would be a lot of fun!

Don Malnati: Nice theatre with comfortable chairs. I'm not sure why check in online showed so many seats not available, as there were more seats available at the show. We just moved to a better seat, so no problem.

Sara Grafals: Excellent Covid safe theater. Vaccination card with identification required as well as mask use. Great movie selection! 👏

Michaela Hillman: The only non profit theater in DC shows blockbuster movies and artistic, dedicated films. Beautiful classic interior reminds you that you are visiting the theater, not just the movies. Avalon serves snacks, beverages (soda, apple cider, beer, wine, juices), and in my opinion the best popcorn (it doesn't upset my stomach like a movie theater popcorn might). I love this theater for the experience and feel good supporting a local business. You won't miss visiting! It's also walkable and nearby plenty of restaurants and a stone's toss from Chevy Chase Pavilion, so this is a perfect dinner and a show type of place. You won't be disappointed.

Leif Engler: I watched star wars here once. But normally they play more artsy films.

Susi Atkinson: My husband and I went to the Avalon today to see In the Heights a second time. A man was in the glass ticket booth and was on the phone. We are kind, patient people and we waited for several minutes. We finally peeked inside the theater door to see if someone else could sell us tickets but no one was there. He continued on the phone. He could clearly see us. Finally we decided to enter the building to see if we could buy tickets at the snack bar. The minute we entered the building the man Finally interrupted his call to remind my husband to put on his mask. We were so angered that he couldn’t interrupt his call momentarily to sell us tickets but instantly did so to instruct us about the mask that we left and will not return.

Baharson: We watched Fauci there. Mostly empty so it was good. Sound and picture quality is good. Seats were comfortable. Keep in mind this is a nonprofit organization so support it !

Ann Brennan: I haven’t been to this theatre in years. Was pleasantly surprised by the recent improvements. They even have a small selection of beer and cappuccino

ytcarol: Great old American movie theater with the original large screen and beautiful painted ceiling. New comfortable seats with lots of leg room for us tall ones, and a whole accessible row. Tiny restroom in theatre but I hear there's a bigger one by lobby. Concessions right there including wine & beer plus a few healthy snacks and the usual popcorn and candies. Second smaller upstairs screen. It's a terrific neighborhood asset.

Suns Cinema - Theater & Bar: what do users think?

Seth Wolf: Cute and fun, very small theater housed in the second floor of a row house. With that in mind, the seating wasn't great (only two levels), so it could be difficult to view the screen. The seats themselves are eclectic. Some were more comfortable than others. The sound was ok, albeit, a bit loud. The screen was bright and, since it wasn't busy, the experience was fun. As an infrequent midweek experience, I'd go again.

Jason Rodriguez: This place was thoroughly charming. We went for a screening of Rocky and we'll definitely be back in the future.

Lillian C: David is a righteous dude and the flicks are excellent. I love bringing people here because it’s always a great time. The decor is mighty fine. David been coming up with his own cocktails that rival those of actual bars. The booze selection is small but excellent - local products and Amaros amongst no more than 20 bottles (I think my home bar is larger.)

Zadkiel Lind: Suns Cinema is one of my favorite finds in DC, an awesome atmosphere and great crowds. The movie line up is always entertaining and the staff are stellar. Beer rotation is solid, and there's always at least one cider in rotation. Popcorn is on point and cookies are a good choice. I'd say the style tells you if you'll like it, very laid back but always fun.

Ben Proshek: Cool place! A 20-seat theater made of thrift store antique chairs in what appears to be the front room of a converted row house. Bar in the back (cheap drinks and popcorn). Older fun/artsy movies shown with 10-min intermission. Young crowd.

Alexandra Ritchie: This was my second visit to Suns Cinema for Fale University. It is such a wonderfully laid back atmosphere. We arrived early and hung out in the downstairs bar, where we got drinks and talked to patrons about the movie they had just seen there- What We Do In The Shadows. We were allowed to bring our drinks upstairs and choose from a variety of comfortable chairs to sit in. This time they started with an opening act-traditional stand up comedian who was funny. There were a couple of familiar faces among the 'university staff'; all enjoyable. This lecture-comedy show was about Revolutions. This included the American Revolution, French Revolution, Russian, Cuban, etc as well as Industrial Revolution. Love the slides and gifs and such inane delivery of somewhat relevant facts. Can't wait to come back!

David Battey: Suns is just a wonderful "hole in the wall" almost speakeasy neighborhood theater. Well curated offbeat themed movie months, terrific sound & excellent beverage selection. Almost hate to let the secret out about this place-its seating capacity is only about 48!

Chris Taylor: This place is such a blast. The movie selections are all great and there is always something to see. It's inviting and friendly and everyone has a great time. It's a great spot to take a date or friends who want a unique movie experience.

Mike Braaten (Mike B): Inventive cocktails and lesser-known titles abound at this converted row house turned cinema.

Suzannah Van Rooy: This theater has so very little space for all of its character. Different models of chairs make up the seating, affordable drinks, old school popcorn machine, red velvet roped in porch and eclectic movie varieties.

Angelika Pop-Up at Union Market: what do users think?

Chris Atkins: Angelika's is a great place to catch a good movie. It's a small theater but I love the retro movie posters and the fact that you can have a glass of wine or a brew with your popcorn or chili dog. Definitely a favorite theater of mine.

Mark Cowman: I was just hanging around town and wanted to see a movie and when I did a Google search, this ace was the closest and I'm happy it was. What a cool little theater. I had no idea what to expect as I headed over there but when I walked in O found an atmosphere that reminded me of the movie houses that I used to go to in Germany. A good selection of food and drink, reasonable prices and 4 comfortable theaters. The ginger beer they had was fabulous. The staff was really cool as well.

Michael B: Be warned, this is definitely a "pop up", meaning they did the bare minimum to make this an operational theater. There are no tiered seats, no high end modern video/audio capabilities you expect from paying for expensive theater tickets, and the food was meh. I'd encourage sneaking in your own. Unless you want to lay $3.50+ tax and tip for an 12oz can of soda.

Jonathan Rios: Good ticket prices, beautiful ambiance, the sound system and quality is pretty awesome for a place like this. I will come every week!

Jahtay Teh: I really enjoy this place, but the screen is quite small. If you're looking for a smaller feel, this is a good place, but this isn't the place to go see a loud action-filled movie.

Joseph Peralta: Great space. You can pick your seats when purchasing tickets in advance. They bring you your order to your seats. Staff is amazing.

B Wilson: My favorite theater to visit! The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Love their beer and wine selection and it is never over crowd when I visit which I love.

Dondré: I love this theater. It's nice and low key, they have great drinks and snacks. This theater has never been crowded when I've been to see anything. The staff is super friendly too. My only complaint is that the seats are all at the same level so if there is someone talker than you sitting in front of you, it's hard to see past their head.

H.C. ely: Unique and first rate. Very clean and the staff were professional. They made our theater experience unencumbered which released us to emerge in the film.

Carl-Gustav Anderson: Wonderful little theater. Cozy and friendly. Nice selection of food and drinks, and great selection of films.

Miracle Theatre: what do users think?

Luis Rueda: This is a great, old fashioned neighborhood movie theater. I went as a chaperone to a 4th grade class. The staff at the theater were simply great. They were patient when dealing with a large, chaotic bunch of kids. They were very welcoming and helpful. The theater brought back memories of when I was a kid. It is great having the Miracle Theater in the neighborhood. I highly recommend it.

dipika: Lovely, small theater perfect for intimate shows. The staff were friendly and quick to check vaccination records and orient us to the space. Because it was a vaudeville theater back in the day and continues to show movies, they sell typical movie theater concessions which is actually really fun for concerts. The seats and overall seating space are small and out of date, so not the most comfortable, but the overall experience makes up for it.
Response: So glad you enjoyed your visit to The Miracle!

Theresa Westover: We hosted my four year old daughter's birthday party at the Miracle Theatre and it was an absolute blast! The lobby was perfect to set up a cake, some balloons and decorations, and the theater was obviously plenty big for our group of 25. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, made sure the guests had everything they wanted for snacks, and it was so fun to have a place for the kids to watch a movie together where they could also let loose, have fun, and dance without ruining the movie for anyone. Would HIGHLY recommend renting out their space and will likely do so in the future for more events.

Andi Gunther: I went to a Laura Stevenson show last night. It was awesome! Super kind employees and awesome venue.

Danielle Scott: My first here. 5 mins into the movie we noticed the wrong movie was playing but that was fixed in a timely manner. The popcorn is decent, prices are reasonable. The seats gets uncomfortable after awhile but other than that I enjoyed myself will definitely be back.

Rohan Bhargava: Really nice venue for live music. Acoustics were excellent and service was great.

aaron ackley: This is a great venue. We were there for The Moth, but will be watching the calendar for other events. Drinks are generous and the popcorn reasonable.

Amy Suchodolski: Super cute with a lot of history. Attended a concert and the sound was wonderful.

Team Augustine: If I could give them a zero I would. We booked the entire upper balcony for our daughter's birthday party to see "Sing 2". Everyone arrived for "Sing 2"and we were informed that, without any notice, they changed the movie to "Encanto", a movie that has been out for 3 months. All the kids attending the party have seen Encanto multiple times. We had confirmed "Sing 2" 4 days prior. After acknowledging the change of movie they said that they couldn't change the movie back to the one we booked under because it had been advertised as Encanto despite the fact that we had purchased 14 tickets with our birthday party and they only had 8 tickets from the general public. So not only was this the wrong thing to do but it didn’t make economic sense. Our daughter has seen Encanto no less than 5 times as have all of the party participants so we had to leave and go to a park instead. It has to be one of the most unprofessional and inexplicable experience I've ever had with a birthday venue. Sure, they reimbursed the tickets but they completely ruined an 11 year old's birthday party through utter incompetence and inflexibility. She just remarked that this was her worst birthday ever. Never again.

Mollie Ellis: We had an incredible experience there for my sons bday. I rented the theater on a Sunday morning and the kids had a blast.

Regal Gallery Place: what do users think?

kittycat222: Great experience!! First time ever going to a 4D movie and it was amazing! The movie was awesome(Quiet Place 2) but it wasn't the best choice for 4D. It didn't have rain, fog, or thunder. So I didn't get wet or anything. I loved it though, the chairs moved and blew air from behind me. It scared me a bit. Just choose a movie wisely😁like one with rain and thunder that you can see in trailer☺️

A.S.C. Automotive Detailing Services, LLC: I saw "Top Gun Maverick" for the second time here today and loved every moment of it! The movement of the chairs, the sound effects, vibrations, the wind blowing etc was really intense. This is such a wonderful way to view this movie. Worth every penny!! Incredible experience.🙌🏾💫💫💫💫💫

Leslie B. Akinola: I would like 5 more stars to rate this theater. I really enjoy viewing the latest movies here in 4DX. The chairs move w/ the movie and it is truly a WONDERFUL experience. If you haven't checked them out, please do so immediately! You will not regret the visit.

Tina M: Parking is expensive, but they'll validate if you bring ticket with you. Limited street parking. Theater is large with comfortable seating and offers 4D films, which are AMAZING! Offer a wide selection of candy. Popcorn wasn't super fresh but still yummy. Beer, soda, bottled water available.

Michael B: NEVER will I go here again.. terrible customer service. Always running out of something, concessions take forever and they often are out of ingredients or menu items. They didn't have adult size glasses for a 4d movie. I said for $25 ticket I expect better, they said you pay for the seats not the glasses. As someone new to DC I was oblivious, regal theaters are nice where I'm from. But this one is absolutely the worst.

Angelica Norman-Beltran: I love going to this theater but I have to say that on my last visit I was disappointed with the staff. There were zero staff at the actual concession stand and a group of 4 we're standing in the hall where you have your tickets checked just talking. I made eye contact with at least one of them who just continued talking with the group. It was annoying. My movie was going to start soon and they were having a social hour. I get having fun at work and being social but you can do that and be professional too.

Mine Yalcin: I would never go back to this place again. First of all the traffic around this place is horrible, took me 45 minutes to turn just “one” block to reach the parking. Ok fine, the traffic is not under their control. Real deal for one star starts here; I was stuck in that traffic for 1.5 hours just to go in and find out the show (that we purchased the tickets two week prior) was cancelled without any notice, we even got an “upcoming event” email notice a day prior, but never got any notice to let us know the show was cancelled. Apparently they cancelled the movie, they sold tickets for, on that same day without letting anyone know (There were other people just like us), to put another show in that theater, offering a refund for our tickets. Well guess what, you cannot refund my time and gas and miles and that traffic stress I went through to go there to watch a 4D movie 😡😤🤬 Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Stealing and disrespecting customers’ time like that is rude and unacceptable, wouldn’t expect that from Regal 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Nikolas G: This is my "home" theater since the uptown and mazza closed. I LOVE the 4DX. If you haven't tried it yet you should 100% check it out and the new Top Gun is the perfect vehicle for that technology. So why 3 stars? The bathroom had no soap in any way of the dispensers I tried. The water fountains were both broken and the popcorn they insist on salting themselves due to Covid meaning you are no longer allowed to safely salt your own was so over salted it was basically inedible. Love the location and I know they can do better than this.

a mb: Everything was clean, service was super fast, the lady at the concession stand was Supra helpful and kind. We have to use the restrooms and they were super clean. Went for the 4DX experience and it was super cool! The auditorium super clean too, the gentleman that scanned the tickets was super kind and help us with kid glasses for our functions, he was happy even though he had to go to another place to get them. They validate parking, everything was superb (-; everyone was kind, they work like a team, I was so positively impressed because the last time we came, everything that could be bad was worse lol 😆 Is so cool to see how good this place is now! Coming back for sure! Even though we have to drive 35 minutes lol the 4DX and the location is worth it.! Thank you for your hard work, we can see the difference.

A Michell: Great place to catch a movie or meal.4D theater is cool. Not for those that get motion sickness. Only issue I had was the theater was absolutely freezing cold.

Landmark's Atlantic Plumbing Cinema: what do users think?

Nathaniel Warren: Snack stand was conveniently placed so I could order and grab my food and not have to zigzag to find my theater with all that stuff in my hand. I appreciated that the attendant walked me to my theater, and was knowledgeable to whether or not the movie had started. Although, it was stressful to have a non-ergonomic tray for my food. More thought should be put into this; there should be a more reliable tray for large popcorn and large drinks. I was 75% sure I was going to drop my stuff, as well as my phone trying to get to into the theater. A MAJOR turn off for me is that the movie volume was painstakingly quiet, and no employee was present to have known about the issue in order to do something about it. Lastly, it was uncomfortably cold in the theater. I do like the idea of this establishment and all the positives that I pointed out, but I highly doubt I'll be returning. Edit: Oh and the popcorn was stale

Lilliandra Shaffer: I really love this theater. The theater sizes are small, maybe 100 seats, so every movie feels big, but you don't feel small. The audio and visual qualities of the movies are as good as any other theater I've been to, but I've never felt like the sound was TOO loud (looking at you Gallery Place) The popcorn is great. The people who work there are nice. There is a bar and you can bring your drinks into the movie with you. My favorite place to see a movie.

Callum Wayman: A great local cinema with a fabulous bar and a few intimate theaters. I've seen several movies here and I find the staff to be friendly and the theaters are clean and comfortable.

Mark Stern: A wonderful place! Almost every seat is a good one since the theaters are relatively small. Great drinks and concessions. Better than E Street!

Jane L: I've always loved Landmark E Street bc of it's location and choice of movies, but Landmark Atlantic Plumbing let's you choose specific seats! The theater I was in had 48 seats. They are comfy but do not recline. It wasn't the cleanest theater. My seat had remnants of spilled drink as well as trash in the cupholders but it wasn't too bad. The bathroom was extremely dimly lit, which was weird but fine. Staff was super nice.

Madelaine Dudley: This is absolutely my favorite theater. So happy to see they were able to make it through the pandemic. Being able to return and do one of my favorite things has been such a joy. The staff here is also amazing. In particular, the concession attendant with the fabulous style, fresh nails, and upbeat personality. Love them.

Sean Randolph-Tensley: This was a great DATE AFTERNOON WITH THE HUBBY! Went to see Batman, the movie had stalled when it was 3/4 the way through but the manager took care of the situation and have everyone free movie passes. That's how it should be done!

Mark Dunkum: Convenient location to which I can walk. Chairs rock, but don't recline. Smaller, more intimate screens and theaters.

leah todd: Movie theater not too crowded. Comfortable seats.

silvana salazar: Very comfortable! They have the best popcorn I've tried so far. Very very delicious!

Lockheed Martin IMAX Theater: what do users think?

Dan Whitlock: Caught and evening movie, Captain marvel, at the IMAX Air and space museum. The film experience was very cool but it was almost worth it just to see the Air and space museum empty at night. They have regular concessions and there is not a bad seat in the house. Very glad we took the time to see a movie there.

C. Eric Scott: It had been several years since I last saw a film here, as I usually go out to the Airbus IMAX out at the Udvar-Hazy Center but I was downtown and decided to go. For IMAX films and big blockbusters, like Avengers: Endgame, this is a great and convenient alternative to going out Udvar-Hazy, and if you have a Smithsonian membership, you can even get discounted movie tickets. Both the picture and sound were excellent, I'm sure I'll be back.

Jorge Piquer: Always great experience watching movies here. Good job keeping everything organized for the Star Wars premier. Sci-Fi Sundays are awesome. All proceeds from the ticket and concessions goes back to the museum. They don't have a huge selection and they don't serve popcorn but at least it's for a good cause.

Robert M: The best place to see first-run Hollywood IMAX movies in DC, hands down! Tips: - The theater is general admission (no reserved seating) so show up at least 30 minutes prior to show time (or even earlier for the opening weekend of highly anticipated movies) to get good seats. - Best seats are the top 6 rows in the middle. - You must purchase candy, snacks, and drinks at the ticket window when you purchase your tickets. Better to sneak in your own snacks. - Don't bother buying tickets in advance on-line, because (1) there's a service fee, and (2) you can't print your tickets at home and must instead stand in the same line with those who are buying their tickets at the box office.

Rob Campbell: If you're over 6ft it could be uncomfortable. For better viewing experience, sit closer to the top rows. The front is way too close.

Paul Behin: As one of the only TRUE IMAX theatres in the area, I love seeing movies here. Especially those filmed in IMAX as this is how they were meant to be seen. The screen is massive, the seats are comfortable enough (if a little too upright) and the price is satisfactory. IMAX is more than just a big screen. The aspect ratio of IMAX movies is different from standard movies and most other theatres in the area (I'm looking at you AMC) aren't real IMAX, they've just licensed the name. If you're close to the DC area and want to see blockbusters that were filmed in IMAX as they were meant to be seen, this is the place to go. The staff, for the most part, is also very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Felix Schröter: Nice IMAX experience although it's digital (laser) and not 70mm Film. Also it doesn't show the full height but it's already way larger than normal cinema screenings. The sound system was great and the 3D effect was good as well (I often had problems in other cinemas with seeing double). The price was very good with 15 $.

Blehbo Boogins: You can't beat the picture and audio quality, and even when you're forced to sit all the way up close to the screen it's still a far better experience than at a chain like AMC. The Air and Space Museum is my go to movie theater for big blockbusters, especially for the price! Be sure to make reservations in advance for big releases, they go fast.

Thomas Hastings: It breaks my heart not to give 5 stars as I love Smith Air & Space and this theater. The problem is the access. If you’re going to a movie on a busy day, the museum hasn’t figured out how to differentiate access between the possible throngs of visitors waiting to enter the museum and the paying customers of the theater. If you’re close to movie time and the line is long, the official refrain you get from museum staff is “tough; feel free to ask for a refund.” That is incredibly annoying. The customer experience can be a huge oversight but otherwise the theater is great in maybe the best venue in the world for IMAX.

Albert: Always so impressed with the screen here. Have been twice and each time I am equally in awe. The venue is well-maintained and clean. I saw Rogue one here on Christmas eve and was impressed with how well the staff kept the lines moving with such a large number of people trying to get in. There are concessions (beer, wine, soda, etc) , which was a nice touch. Expect to pay $7 though for a beer. Would go back.

AMC Georgetown 14: what do users think?

Michelle Ming: I am an A-List member and traveled almost an hour to this AMC location (from Anne Arundel County, MD) because of the proof of vaccination requirement, which to me is a plus. Although it's not free parking like at most AMC theaters, parking is really convenient in the attached underground parking garage (the entrance at the street level is only two or three doors down from the theater entrance). Don't forget to validate your parking garage ticket before you leave, for the $10 rate (good for up to 4 hrs from the time you enter)! Without validation, I would have had to pay $22 for the 2½ movie I took my son to go see (and the minimum parking fee is $11 for 0 to 1 hrs), so that's a pretty good deal. As with all AMC Dolby theaters I've been to, the movie experience is A-MA-ZING and TOTALLY worth the coin. The theater was fairly clean, the bathrooms were tidy / well stocked, and the employees were all very friendly. My only gripe is that their Wi-Fi wasn't working. I kept getting an error message when I attempted to log in to my Stubs account for access.

Jada Carr: This day was my 1st day visiting a public movie theater since 2019. So glad I renewed my AMC Stubs Premier Membership as the Perks have increased. I purchased tickets online and breezed through the initial ticketing line, skipped the line for snack bar and free upgrades. Although I didn't utilize, they have a nice full bar on site w plenty of seating. The theater itself was spacious, Covid friendly and provided a lot of comfort. The seats were large, clean and reclined comfortably. Great quality films/ movies. Appropriate volume. Clean bathrooms. This place is a winner. I'd def visit again when in Georgetown.

Alida “Ally” Pham: Love late night movie nights here by myself! Seats recline, and it’s always clean and when you watch the late movies it’s not too busy. Friendly staff, $10 parking next door garage with your movie!

Shomik Das: Ideally, I would love a dine-in theater. However, this location is clean, has friendly staff and keeps a tight ship on their facilities. They are helpful and there is a good selection of theaters and times available. In the area, this is where to watch movies. It is also close to many places where you can get dinner.

Shannon McReynolds: I used the online option to purchase my ticket, as well as popcorn and a drink. That made it very easy to through and pick up my snacks. The theater recliners are plush with options for a foot rest. Watching our movie was great!

Obinna Ezekwesili: First time watching a movie at this cinema, it was cool but the ads before the movie was so long, you can finish your popcorn and drink or even your full meal before the movie even starts. Also the fire alarm was going off which shows it works but the both times it rang were false and there wasn't any official to let us know any information about the situation.

Alex Navarro: Finally got to take our preschoolers to their first movie since you know, covid and all. We were able to pick our seats and everyone was masked. It was not crowded and felt very safe. The chairs are great and my kids were very impressed!

Stephanie Carter: This place is a total cluster. There's always something broken, the screens that tell you what movie is playing in the Theatre have been out for months and last time I went none of the coke machines were working, which the staff neglected to tell you when you ordered. They've also recently started construction that is very in the way. All that said, it's still unfortunately the best Theatre in DC and they have the reclining seats.

Agent Star: Parking isn’t free in the area, but the theater is nice and up to date for the most part. I like this location because of the park on the water just outside the theater. It’s a good place to take a stroll after your movie.

R S: 25 minutes of previews. Restrooms are far from the theaters. Wifi didn't work, even when trying to sign up which is required. Movie and sound were very good. Chairs were reasonably comfortable.

Landmark's Bethesda Row Cinema: what do users think?

Armando Milanes: Very clean, very attentive staff, really enjoy my experience. One thing I would say could be an issue in a fully booked movie... Let's just say it's the spirit airlines of movies, my knees were touching the Front seat I am 6'2. Since the theater wasn't full it wasn't an issue but if I needed to get out, the whole line would probably have to stand up to let me out. I will definetly will come back.

Iman Alsharkawi: I love this theater for the amazingly comfortable seats and the fact that it's such a short drive away from home (on nice days I can ride my bike to here). The tickets here are reasonable, and I love that Mondays and Tuesdays are $7 ticket days. I'm lucky enough to be in the kind of work where I can go in twice sometimes on these days to watch movies. I like that they offer a selection of hot teas here, too.

Elizabeth Robinson: I’d say it’s a standard movie theatre. On the exterior it seemed like it was going to be a really nice theatre with the decor and all but it was just average. The worst part was the popcorn. Typical $8-$10 for a large. That’s expected. But the popcorn was so bad we didn’t even make it through half the bucket/bag. When we left at the end of the movie so many other patrons were also throwing out bags still full of popcorn. It was super dry and practically no flavor at all. Such a bummer, really disappointing, I won’t go back for this reason. Gotta have good popcorn for the movie going experience to be complete.

Graham Rogers: Good experience pricy food Fellow customer reviews: "I slept better then I did at most hotels" - charles "It was good" - big man "It was kinda like that one time in whiplash where he played the drums" hendoh "Pretty good, should have had reclining chairs" - doonte "Pretty good" - da will Zygote "Good" - the big Zach "It was amazing" -coolm3lon

D W: Went here recently to see the new Macbeth (not a lot of showings in the area!) Theater was clean, staff were friendly, and the place was almost empty. Actual matinee prices were a welcome surprise. Lots of parking nearby at the usual Bethesda rates, though helpfully the street between the theater and the parking was closed for outdoor dining so crossing was safe and easy. Nothing special about the equipment, screens, or amenities here. Just glad to go to a theater since our closest theater closed. Sure, the escalator down is broken, but isn't that a DC tradition? Would not feel at home if both of the escalators were working.

Oscar Hahn: Only ever had good experiences at Landmark, but likely won’t return after my last visit. Every isle and almost every seat was covered in soda and or popcorn. Difficult to find two reasonably clean seats. Definitely not cleaned the day or our visit and probably not the prior day either. Very unfortunate visit. If not for the usual charm of the main hall, probably would have given 1 star. Top Gun Maverick was enjoyable.

Darell Jones: What a great, safe, beautiful movie place for family or those looking for a place to hang out. The downside is parking at certain times and food can be costly depending on where you go am sure. We are making this our theatre so we will be updating our review soon for a possible 5star depending on experience

Tye Kuzniczci: My wife and I love this theater. They always have at least one or two independent films playing, which is very nice. I’d always chose to go here rather than one of the larger cinemas.

M. Marzulla: Nice theater, price for tickets are par for the area, competitive beer and cocktail prices (for a movie theater). If you are seeing a popular movie, beware that it can get PACKED. If you are prepared for that, then this is a great theater. Staff were also very quick (and friendly) getting through the concessions line which should be noted, because I have seen MUCH emptier venues really struggle with this.

Jon Enten: Escalator has been broken for months. Men's room urinals not working. Refreshment staff great! Older guy that is a ticket taker and usher is complete jerk. Theaters are clean and seats comfortable. Preview of coming attractions audio is ear splitting. Overall would grade theater a C.

Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse: what do users think?

Nicole Derrickson: The Arlington is. Very nice and comfy theater. Feels very intimate and modern at the same time. The prices are reasonable and the comedians were funny. Definitely plan to visit this theater again in the future. I tried the nachos they were good nothing over the top.

Crime Mia River: Still a cool place after revisiting 20 years ago! Went to a comedy show. The quesadillas weren't that good because they use a turbo chef-- but I get it, they want to serve food fast. Drinks were good tho

Sassi Whayz: This show was my first visit to the DraftHouse. It’s a chill vibe!!!!! I look forward to going back!!!

Jennifer Coleman: We had a great evening :) Rod Man, the comedian we saw, was fantastic! The venue needs updating, but the food was good. The server was nice and attentive. I'd go back!

Mike Pigg: We watched a comedy show, had a good time. Good pizza and plentiful drinks. Seating was a little annoying, so get in early.

Peter Strapp: Great experience for a private event. Highly recommend. We did a kids birthday and the staff and management did everything to make it easy and fun for events.

Patricia Wilson: I was the second person seated in the room and placed my food order for a chicken wrap right away. It took 55 minutes to get my sandwich. The room filled up after I arrived and many were served long before I was. I would have ordered several more drinks but assumed I would not get them before the show ended..

Eli Gilbert: Large comfortable space, fast and courteous service, and good food! I went to see Jokes & Aces (funny bunch)...definitely will go back!

Emilee Burrows: Great service, great show, food and drinks ordered at your seat and brought to you through out the show. Definitely will be back!

Chris Nicholson: Dated. From the outside it looks like an old theater that CVS would take over. Even the outside sign was incomplete. Once you get in the front door they check your IDs and tickets. Then you enter into a "classic looking theater" that they took the seats out of. Office like chairs roll around and let you recline. Some rails and some tables. Ordering requires you to stand up a flag and a sever will hopefully see it. Nachos were good. (Added the chicken). The beer... Plastic mugs? Switched to bottles. $35 to see Pablo Francisco was a DEAL! But as others note... The inside could use a "good cleaning" and updating.

Stephen Strang: Overall experience was nice. The historical aspect of the theater 🎥 was dope. We saw Sign O The Times.Needs sound and refreshment improvement....Popcorn was not fresh.

Jennifer Goodridge: Had a fun family night here watching a Totoro movie. The theater is clean and has a very cool retro look. The seats aren't recliners, but still very comfortable. The concession stand had all the usual suspects, plus alcohol. They do tons of cool movie themes, definitely worth checking out!

Jesse Shaw: Great theater that prioritizes showing features you don’t usually see in other theaters. The international films they show through the year are particularly valuable. Theater is always clean, staff was always very kind.

Joshua Winn: This theatre is a temple for those who worship film. The various film series they run are excellently varied and curated. The main restored-Silver theatre itself is breathtaking and is one of the best environments I've been in.

Jack Wolfe: i’ve had 2 of the most vivid moviegoing experiences here. 2001 in 70mm and inland empire on its limited run. absolutely gorgeous quality and the sound is phenomenal. this is the only place i go for limited screenings of films now

Mx.Enigma: Tickets at film festivals are 15$, but snacks are limited, big theater space, but wishing their were more accessible seating and bathrooms.

Mia Speight: I attended several film festivals here. The location was great with ample space for red carpet and will call. I love that the larger theater has an old world charm to it. The smaller theater is intimate and great for talk backs after film screenings.

Antionette Aquino: I actually have a movie that Premiered there for the DC 48 HOUR FILM FESTIVAL. Such a beautiful theater. 😍

Bryton Bode: Such a great old time theater. It has the feel of an old theater but is still as clean and as well kept as ever. Staff is very helpful and nice. They have a little cafe. They do offer various beers and wines, as well as a full espresso stand.

Luciano Aquino: This is a beautiful theater.

Rebecca Chapman: I really like this location! Arlington Village has many amazing restaurants and shops. This theater also sells beer and wine, so it’s a great place to go for a date after dinner and see a movie together! They have leather reclining seats. Good choices for snacks. Friendly helpful staff. This is a very nice local place to see the top movies. It’s close by the freeway so you can pop on and off the freeway quickly! I recommend this theater! Enjoy!

William West Hopper (DC Car Guy): Well used center seats. You would have thought during pandemic reopening they would have recovered the seats in studio three. The movie warching experience was good. Though the sound and vibration from the action film in the next studio did make its way over to our more quiet film. The reclining seats (all of the in studio 3) were nice other than the center ones were well worn. Other than that the theater was clean. Did not buy any drinks or food.

Nicole Baldwin: So last week we went to see Top Gun Maverick(Tuesday #3)and Jurassic Park Dominion (Friday #6). At $60+dollars a pop, I was hoping the experience would have been a little better. We ordered everything on line ahead of time. When we arrived, I was happy to see things were clean and seemed well stocked. The staff is super nice and very helpful. Even though we ordered ahead we do ended up in line for awhile. It wasn't a big deal at all. The popcorn however is god awful... both times. The soda is flat, weak, and the ice was out both times. The sound is awful in both theaters. It bleeds through from other movies. The seats are comfy and were clean. The bathrooms were clean and stocked. Honestly, I was hoping the awful popcorn was a one off but it wasn't. I probably could have said something but I don't think it would have mattered. It's how they make it or because they make it ahead of time and it is stale. I think we will end up forgoing future movies here. It's a bummer because we really wanted to start going to the movie again.

Lolita Pollard-Kezele: Small AMC. Very comfortable seating and drama free. Get there early because parking is tricky. This is the closest theater to my home and we go often.

Jen W: Great local movie theater with incredibly comfortable reclining seats. Conveniently located across the street from a wide range of bars and restaurants. The bar staff at the theater cannot be beat. They are quick, friendly, and professional. Grab a beer and see a movie. It's time.

Matt Cobbs: Probably won't be making a return trip to this theater. The seats, although reclining, are too tight and not in line with modern luxury seats of other theaters. Left me with a sore back and the lack of stadium style seating also forces you to look up at the massive screen the whole time and that gets uncomfortable. Also, the attendants at the concession stand and ticket taker were not very polite and just seemed to be going through the motions. All in all, disappointing movie going experience for sure.

James Derenge: Great place to see a movie. Wide recliner seats. Normal size screen. Not crowded for matinees. I just saw Top Gun Maverick and was super comfortable the whole time.

Emily Larson: Great staff, great theater. We came here recently and had problems with our seats and the staff was super nice, quick and responsive, and ended up giving us vouchers to come back another time when they couldn’t fix the problem. Thanks, team!

Judy Robinson: Theater had some kind of tech difficulties. Had to wait and there was no fountain drinks. But enjoyed Jurrasic World. Mid day movies are great!

Dr. Theresa Horne: Not my fave. Very small theater. Seats a little worn. Others do it better in the area.

Daphne Aponte: The staff were great. The seats were comfy. There was a lot of litter walking up to the theater. I was going to leave because of how it looked from the outside. Inside was very clean. They even provide Clorox wipes for you to clean your seat off.

Stacey Sutton: It depends on which theater and which day. I've been here 3 times...twice the seats worked and were mostly 'clean', while the other time the seat didn't recline and I felt like I needed to use Lysol wipes to touch anything. The bathroom situation was similar, if not a little worse. They do have interesting choices for food and the crazy prices are comparable to other theaters. I will say that I Always need earplugs b/c they absolutely BLAST the volume. I've noticed that each time the movie starts, the A/C kicks on to lower the temp by (I'm guessing)10 degrees. I believe that's a way to mitigate the body heat of all the movie goers, but at 1pm I was the only one in the theater and I ended up taking my coat off and using it as a blanket. I will say that the seats are roomy and there's a HUGE amount of distance between the rows which is nice.

Abouzar Kaboudian: It's decent theater. The seats are not the most comfortable and there was a couple of left over popcorns in the cup-holders. However, everywhere else was clean. Not too crowded either, although we went on a Monday night.

Charna Wilson: Went to see the new Dr. Strange movie. We made most of our transactions online for convenience and speed but it didn't really help because they still took forever to give me my concessions. The theater was also freezing cold which was extremely uncomfortable and made it hard to enjoy the movie.

HersheyKiss Shelton: Frequent flyer. They have come a long way! Menu options increasing. Pricing going up😫 I appreciate the efforts put into keeping it clean. Fresh popcorn is always best(as of late is has been stale and very salty)

angela hamilton: The recliner seats were enjoyable. The screens are larger that normal theater. Memberships, cheaper if you come before 4 for children.

Yolanda Thompson: The experience was wonderful the reclining seats and it was not a large crowd I had a nice time will be going back again

Merira: Fun for the little one to enjoy an age appropriate movie since the pandemic. Still cautious but not crowded and fairly clean.

Marietta Brown: I love going here during matinee time because it’s cleaner and quieter. Also, the concession stand is fresher.

Jazmyn: I have no issues everytime I come here, clean bathrooms and theaters, the last time though the volume for the previews were really loud. I had to ask them to turn it down, and they explained it was just for the previews like an attention grabber. The price for food is outrageous its more than the tickets lol

JBG 44 ME: Best theater in town, great service and food including snacks. The Recliner seats are the best and plenty of space. Jist one mote Bathrooms need to be update and add more space. Always a line after a movie.

Brian Copes: So I have been coming to this theater for 4 years and love it. Near a metro, recliner chairs, decent selection of films and friendly staff. Bathroom floors can be a little sticky but it’s a public restroom. Check this place out!

Alex Cabe: PROS: Very convenient to Metro, comfortable seats, clean theaters, friendly staff. CONS: Sound leaks between theaters - easy to hear other movies during the quiet parts of your movie; lacks Imax, Dolby, and stadium seating.

Corinne Peterman: Love being able to pick my seats ahead of time. Very comfortable reclining seats. Love the any flavor soda fountains. Easy parking. Just wish the theaters were a tad colder but I'm probably in the minority on that one. New gourmet popcorn is tasty as well.

Casey Kesterson: Reclining chairs and lots of room. Also liked that you can pick your seats ahead of time.

David W.: The recliner seats in the modest sized theater was a good size, and the refreshment stand was relatively quick. Reaching understanding with the cashier that getting a free refill of a large popcorn - a part of the Stubs Premiere membership I have - means not being charges for the item twice took a few minutes. A nice neighborhood theater with ample parking adjacent.

Rasha Sharif: Never had an issue, easy to get in and if the seats recliner is not working you can change it. Nice local cinema.

Derek Duarte: Comfy seats. Seat reservations. Snack are good. 3D movies available. Easy to get to from bus stop or metro train.

M Alc: There was literally a mouse running around the theater. I felt grossed out for the entire movie. Set up mousetraps guys, cmon.

Jason West (서재석): By far the best AMC in Arlington and DC. Fewer screens and smaller theaters, but the staff actually seems to care about your experience. Can't say the same of other nearby AMC theaters.

Lincoln Theatre: what do users think?

Rashi Garg: We went for the first time this Sunday..Really beautiful theater with plenty of seating. We attended a concert, the sound and lighting was pretty good. They also have a bar (cashless) and a popcorn booth. Our only issue was, Lincoln Theater does not offer parking so that was a bit of a challenge, make sure to plan to arrive early to find good parking in the nearby garages/lots. The Spot agent website showed parking is available at the Reeves center garage, but that was full. Fortunately we found parking on V street in one of those make shift lots, it was a little expensive at $30, but it was just a block away from the theater so we didn't mind.

Chris Peele: The Aurora Aksnes concert was beautiful, however shorter than her other shows this US tour. An intimate setting with seating and first come General Admission. Unparalleled view of the stage, and ability to hold your seat once you have it if you have to use the restroom or grab drinks. No parking of course so plan on stressing trying to find a 24hr parking garage near by for about $30 for 4-24 hrs.

Jeff White: Great venue. Great acoustics. Nice to have drinks available. Parking is a challenge so figure that out beforehand. A lot of the street parking is permit only. PS - Colin Hay is absolutely fantastic. Great performance and great story teller.

Tasneem Mansour: We came here to see the Foil Arms and Hog show. It's a really nice theater and the refreshments are simple (popcorn and Lincoln logs) but they're delicious. While the water is free, the snacks are a bit overpriced, but you find that at any theater.

Quentin Hodges: A beautiful, old theater in the heart of Washington D.C. Classic architecture with a great sound system. The seats are old, yet comfortable. Street parking may be difficult but we found a $10 parking garage less than a ten-minute walk to/from the theater. Prior to the show we had a great dinner at Ted’s Bulletin, also within walking distance.

Scott Hummel: This is one of those older single stage theatres. Came here to see scribble showdown 2. No dedicated parking lot. I got a hotel and walked. The entrance staff was super quick, one to verify vax and one to scan ticket. The lobby is small. There's merchandise and a mini drink bar. You walk in and find your seat. The seat became very painful after 2 hours. The show was amazing. If they do a third here, I'll come back.

Neil Crowell: Saw Mat Kearney on 4/24/22, a general admission show. Got in line at 6:15 for doors at 6:30 and was able to get in the 4th row, dead center. Amazing experience.

Steve Little: The show was incredible and the atmosphere was electric. It would have been great if the AC unit was working.

Eileen Potocnak Arnold: Great venue to see musicians/theater/etc. in an old space that has been nicely renovated.

Lisa Ryan: Great show due to fabulous artist, Corinne Bailey Rae, wonderful staff and fun people. However, I give the Lincoln Theater one star due to NO AC! Unbelievable there was no notification of this prior to ticket purchase, and as I understand it from a number of employees it's been this way for 3 months! Think twice before attending this venue if you are heat sensitive and need healthy air ventilation.

Old Greenbelt Theatre: what do users think?

Frederick Cope: It's an old school charming theater. The seats rest on a relatively shallow slope, but they're comfortable. Overall, its nostalgic feel is welcoming.

Caleigh Guoynes: Staff is so friendly! The theatre is always impeccably clean, prices are fair. Love this place!

Catherine Weber: They have terrific films. Prices are great. Friendly staff. Small neighborhood anchor. Love going there.

Elizabeth DelFranco: Even though the movie we saw this past Saturday was in the "Pop Up" temporary location, I enjoyed seeing the original facade of the theater. Will definately go back to experience the renovated theater when completed. The temporary theater is probably not a great idea. Uncomfortable, not dark enough, felt like I was back in elementary school with no desktop to lay my head down.

Ian Blackwell Rogers: The city of Greenbelt and the Friends of Greenbelt Theatre have beautifully restored this lovely deco movie theatre from 1937. Big screen, delicious locally made snacks, and a mixture of new and classic movies. One of the beautiful old cinemas of the DC area.

Allison Key: "The PROMISE" The Father, The Son, The CEO! A Phenomenal documentary Premier! A must see! A nice quaint independent theater in Old Greenbelt where anyone can host an event. There's plenty of parking. Been to other events there. Would definitely go back!

Frances Whalen: Had never heard of this gem before, the whole area is a wonderful spot. Got a chance Saturday to see the last movie before the renovation closing, Rocky Horror was so much fun. Cannot wait to return in the future.

Karen Vartan: Wow, we saw The Tragedy of King MacBeth. The movie gave vision to Shakespeare's characters so compellingly it is as if Joel Corn had channeled the Bard.

Amber Emory: Visited this place for the first time in several years. Nicely renovated and prices are very reasonable (movie, soda, and popcorn for $17). Shows great independent films too.

Robert Hall: Beautifully restored 1930s era theater in a depression era planned community.
