Indian Craft Shop: what do users think?

Lauren Brown: Great variety of art from different tribes. The objects for sale are clearly carefully selected for their quality execution. Pieces at a range of prices. Extensive book selection. The women working here are very friendly and helpful. You won't score a major deal, but you will get a finely crafted piece at a fair market price. You will need to go inside the Department of the Interior and through security to get a visitors pass. It's in the main hallway. Look for a hanging sign. There is no signage outside of the building for the shop.

SAUNDRACARMONASHARRELL SAEONES: I LOVE SHOPING DONT U UMM UMHUM

Ace Photo: I am sure this is a five star place. Quality work with lots of books available on the topic. It just didn't have the types of Indian craft that I collect. Worth the trip to see some off the beaten path of D.C. The building it is in is worth seeing. A part of American history and current politics. Very educational.

asifalam alam: Respected sir I am from india I am supplier of sea shell handicrafts and JEWELLERY items gift box All item in sea shell if you are interested kindly csend me email asifalam929@gmail.com Iam waiting for your msg

Dave R: Wonderful craft shop selling pieces of art from many different Native American tribes. We highly recommend making a stop here during your visit to D.C.

E. Tranmoto: This is a great shop inside the department of the interior building.

Jaipur Art: We like to promote your business .Visit us Jaipurart.in

Abimael Santos: Nice staff, very cool stuff.

Don Crews: Authentic and helpful

Michaels: what do users think?

Lekeisha Harris: One of my Favorite Crafting stores. I swear, you will never be disappointed!!! Like seriously, I'm always here. At least twice a week for an hour lol. But yes it's that great! I purchase all of My stickers and Happy Planners from Michael's. I love it HERE!!!❣Amazing staff and with Great Customer service. Be sure to download the app to receive updates on Daily Deals and Promotions. It doesn't get any better, Thank me Later😉

Raymond Powell: Got charged $8 for 30 minutes of parking on a weekend day. There are other locations with free parking. The store itself is fine and somewhat busy. Staff are helpful and informative to help you find what you want. There are always sales coming and going.

Rickey Anderson: They have so many wonderful items to complete any DIY craft you have in mind

Krista: This is an interesting shopping set up. If you park in the adjoining parking garage, you will be charged $8 for parking 7 days a week. I went on a Saturday evening for only a few minutes and had to pay $8 for parking. They should validate for more business because I won't be back.

Rachel Tenne Mouse La Jabraille: Excellent use of limited space. It's smaller than other stores in the chain I've visited, but the selection is comparable and the layout is efficient.

dipika: A perfectly adequate and reliable Michael's! Parking is hard to come by, though (scarce or expensive).

David Zeledon: The framing department is simply fantastic. I got three diplomas framed here and Sonya that helped me out was the best. She works meticulously and her attention to detail and customer satisfaction is second to none!! Thanks again, again.

HAPPY CRAFTY CAT: I was trying to find this paper pad at various locations in my area. However, online it says the stores in my area have them i go there and nothing. It has been two weeks and yet nothing. I was told to give it some days and i did. OFCOURSE nothing. I do appreciate the staff who went out of their way to look for it at the Wisconsin ave location. It seems there is a system mix up online as i found other crafty people have been looking for it too. The IT TEAM SHOULD FIX THIS. VERY MISS LEADING ONLINE WHEN IT SAYS WHAT LOCAL STORES HAVE WHAT IT IS THAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AND THE QUANTITY AND THERE IS NOTHING WHEN YOU ARRIVE TO PURCHASE IT. OTHER THAN THAT THE STORE WAS CLEAN, NICELY ORGANIZED, AND STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND READY TO ASSIST. 💞

A'Jahan Love: Huge store and inventory. Their website is accurate for what's in stock and has the option to ship to this location. They don't have canvas stretchers or canvas rolls in store, but they do online. You can find varying sizes at Blicks store which will be cheaper by a lot.

Gwendolyn Young: Went here on 4/18/2021and found Easter supplies were 70% off! Lots and lots of it just taking up space. I did buy some Easter flowers and some other craft supplies. The don't have a huge selection of various wired ribbons. The did have some peach polka dots ribbon for $3.00 (Clearance), but I chose to wait on that one. They did have several $5.00 mystery boxes for sale, but some had been opened up. Their Clearance section in the back has been cleaned up tremendously! But I must say that they have much more beautiful flowers than the small Joanne's Fabrics that is located in Greenbelt Shopping Center. They do have some type of discount program but I truly don't know how it works. So, if you are looking for beautiful flowers, Michaels is the place. They also have a large variety of greenery! The store was almost empty when I was there.

Village Art & Craft USA Inc: what do users think?

Adria Griffin: Had an excellent experience here! The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. My husband and I needed ready-to-wear clothes for an upcoming Indian wedding and they had a large selection and many colors. They were patient and attentive even when I was having trouble deciding on a lehenga. We came up from Richmond and would definitely make the trip again. Worth the trip for excellent service and fair prices.
Response: Thank you very much 🙏🙏💐

Larissa Sheehan: Owners are incredibly helpful with any questions and making the best selections for your event.

Amrit Chohan: Great shopping experience. A lovely shop with a variety of handicrafts, scarves, stoles, jewelry etc. that make good unique gifts. The owners were very pleasant and helpful and the prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend it!
Response: 🙏

WERNER PFLEGER: BEWARE OF FALSE ADVERTISING, they sell a scarf made of polyester in china as a kashmere shawl made in nepal, far overprized for $ 40 . When I pointed that out owner got angry at me. So be sure you know what you buy, no returns once sold.
Response: Thank you very much hope you have safe holiday, we pray god hope new Year Brings lots of happiness in life

Liliana Mendez: Owners are very friendly and helpful. I bought an amazing runner which will surely enhance my home. Thank you!
Response: 🙏

Dana Rodriguez: Came to this beautiful shop, with wonderful owners. Lovely handicraft and service. We will return.
Response: 🙏

Anna Russell: It's fun to stop by (once) if you like eastern-style items, especially clothing. I personally find their products to be pretty cheap in quality, from the jewelry to the fans, which break all the time. Almost everything is super duper pricy, if that! This one girl kept trying to sell me a super cheap on-sale poofy prom dress that was way over-sized for me, saying I can't find anything like it anywhere else (totally untrue).

chris W: Best shop in dc! Would recommend. They have all sorts of pipes, blunts, water pipes, dresses, scarfs, traditional clothing, authentic statues all sorts of products. great prices and great customer service

Carter Johnson: Very nice costumer service, friendly and polite. They have a very large range of glass pipes and accessories, tapestries, and Indian traditional clothing. I love this store very much. A+

Brandi Ford: Absolutely beautiful & reasonably priced clothing. Amazing customer service! Im so excited to wear this tonight!

India Art & Craft: what do users think?

Ana: This place is great, my husband and I were invited to a wedding and we decided to go to the store because of the good reviews and it did not disappoint us. The owner and his father are very helpful and nice, everyone loved our outfits and kept asking where we got them from. We would recommend them to anyone looking for high quality and affordable Indian traditional clothing.
Response: Thanks 😊 .

Emily Benson: Vijay has a huge selection and was very helpful and patient! We are going to an Indian wedding and were overwhelmed with the choices online and so we visited our neighborhood shop instead. Vijay has so many choices (at all different price levels), and it's great to see everything in-person and try the clothing on. He has tons of sizes, colors, etc. We highly recommend it!
Response: Thanks 😊.

Johlize McNeil: Great selection of Indian clothes at different price ranges! I was shopping for a wedding and was able to get everything I needed. They sell full sets as well as individual items which allowed me to complete some outfits I had. The service is incredible and they do a great job listening to determine what you are looking for. I cannot recommend this store enough!!
Response: Thanks 😊.

HippyDippy Trippy: I was looking for something affordable, pretty & bright in silk, in size 12 (US size). This shop did not disappoint! The shopkeeper was incredibly kind and helpful. I fit a size 42-44 nicely. There were plentiful options. I feel so elegant! Like a celestial fairy 🧚🏻‍♀️ Thank you Vijay 🙏
Response: Thanks 😊.

Kai Ebnother: This shop is a hidden treasure! They have jewellery, dresses, clothing for men’s and much more to discover. The shop owner was very friendly and professional, he helped out with choosing my shirts and kimono purchases. I definitely recommend this place I’ve you visiting the Woodley neighbourhood.

Gayle Bates: When I first found this website I went a little bit crazy and ordered some of everything. The merchandise is authentic from the clothes to the absolutely beautiful tapestry wall hangings. I was going to a wedding and found some beautiful jewelry to wear that was so unique that it was commented on and noticed all night long. I can't wait to come back to purchase some more items.
Response: Thanks.

Amorah Shakti: WARNING: They’re Crystal jewelry is fake!!! Also most of their garments are made from very cheap material and are marked up excessively. I drove from Richmond, VA to shop for some Indian garments and was rushed through my entire shopping experience during opening hours. The owners said they wanted to close the shop and eat some lunch… I’m compassionate, but I too was under a time crunch. I regretfully paid the shop three times the amount for the garments I purchased only because I needed them. I do not recommend the shop and caution anyone who visits.

Lucy Watson: I drove an hour each way after reading the positive reviews for this store and it did not disappoint! Vijay was amazing—so friendly, patient, and extremely helpful. I am a size 14-16 US and there were plenty of options for me to try on. I left with a gorgeous outfit, shoes, and handbag for the sangeet I am attending. I can’t wait to wear my outfit! The prices were very reasonable too! If you need traditional Indian clothing, I highly recommend this store!
Response: Thanks 😊.

Hypnosis by Quatae: Amazing customer service! The two gentlemen that helped me both times I visited here were so accommodating. They helped me pick out an outfit and everything to complement it all at an affordable price! I was excited for my outfit for a gala that was hosted in DC. Thank you so very much for your customer service!
Response: Thanks 😊

Dave Phillips: My sister wanted to have everything about her wedding here as close to traditional as possible. We were all more than overwhelmed with how beautiful she looked in her authentic lehenga set. The embroidery was stunning. You can tell family is #1 at this family-oriented establishment.
Response: Thanks 😊.

Blick Art Materials: what do users think?

Bobby Nitty: Nice store to pick up art materials. You'll find most of the things you need. Employees were nice and helpful. They have roadside parking. Also a small lift for wheelchair etc. Neatly arranged. They also have custom framing.

Sue I: I’ve been going to art stores for 40 years and in all that time, I’ve never met a more knowledgable art supply salesperson than Sean at Blick Art Materials, DC. He gave thoughtful and useful suggestions for my art project. He also taught me how to use materials I never have used before. Sean’s professionalism and experience is outstanding. His tremendous kindness is un-matched and Blick is very lucky to have Sean representing them.

Joana O'Brien: This is by far the most extensive and "complete" art store in the D.C., Maryland and Virginia metro area. It was the only place that had a 72 Copic Sketch set (and they had all sets) in stock. We drove the near hour (instant gratification, of course) and were speechless when we walked in. I do not like shopping for pretty much anything, but I was like a little girl full of joy, wonder, imagination, giddiness and overwhelmed by all the treasures in there. My boyfriend, who loves shopping, got to the point that he was feeling a bit embarrassed by us. We spent about twice as much we had intended to. Not sure how some of those items ended up in our pile? ... also, the staff was incredibly helpful and super friendly. It is not for "just experts" or "real artists"... it's got something for everyone... and then some more!

vivian siebert: Shop with many varieties of professional products, good prices, friendly attendants but need more information about the products to help.Check products and price tags I ended up buying a product with twice the price exposed ...

Camille Murray: Love to come here the associates are very nice and knowledgeable. They really do have everything you need for beginners to advanced artist of all forms. My copic and prismacolor markers are cheaper here for me or anyone if your a member or not.

Charlotte Slaiman: Love! Staff are so helpful and friendly. That's the most important thing for me. I also love that it's open til 8, I love that it has some character. Good selection and lovely atmosphere. Yay!

Ana Delmont: Very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff! Great selection of paints, canvases, brushes, and everything I needed. Just walking around the store gave me so many more ideas from their wide selection of products, and it all came out way cheaper than I expected. It’s now my go-to arts and crafts store!

Beat Ammann: Very friendly staff and a very wide variety of things, including for art projects with kids!

Jossman Garcia: Hi. Blick art materials is a nice store, I would say better than Michael’s, especially on prices. However, I went there on Saturday with my girlfriend and I left feeling very uncomfortable and unwelcome as a Latino man. I am guessing it was the manager (?), but an employee followed me as I walked through the store, asking me if I needed something/help several times even after I said “I don’t need help, thanks.” I was also taking a look at some standalone product insets (like Bob Ross products and pens) near the registers, but not going up to the registers, and I was asked by the same employee if I was ready to check out at the registers. I felt rushed to leave. It was an uncomfortable experience to feel followed around the store and alienated as a suspicious person when I would gladly pay for any product I want to purchase. Moving forward, please reflect on how you treat people who may not look like your average customer.

Antonio Scott: I'm an artist so I'm biased! My favorite thing about Blick are the large portfolio carriers. Which i customize with my comic art. Great prices too. That's the cost of a portrait kit in the ajacent photos

Plaza Artist Materials & Picture Framing: what do users think?

cq ny: With Plaza Artist Materials I found a strong competitor to Blick. A great selection of notebooks for sketching, drawing and watercolor that I used to only find on Amazon but now I can buy here in person. Stop by this store for sketching, drawing and painting supplies. They also have canvases and supplies for oil and acrylic art, knitting, and other art mediums that look interesting. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Prices seem reasonable.

david hawksford: These are the worst people to deal with. Very unfriendly It's like being in a mortuary having a deal with these people. At least they have some supplies.

Will Edwards: Has frames and some basic art supplies. Nothing super special

Jon Fisher: Fantastic store with a great selection of products and very helpful and friendly staff who helped us find everything and give us advice on which materials to purchase for an art class.

Shadawn Duncan: Since starting my venture into being an artist, I spend so much the in there they know my name. I can always ask questions and get guidance and tips because all of the staff have an artist's background. Makes it easy to shop.

Georgia Hronek: I don't know a lot about art but the staff helped me out in finding my supplies. It seems like they had an okay selection except the store overall was small. I think if you're looking for something specific you might want to check their website first to see if they have it. By the way the DC angel wings mural is on the side of their building just as an FYI. I was happy with my overall experience so I'll go back to get more art supplies for my drawing class from the store. I'm not an artist though so I can't speak to how good their prices are.

Laura P: The store was bright and clean, with helpful but not intrusive or hovering staff and a very good selection of watercolor paints, paper and brushes, and many more things that I did not peruse as carefully. I had a groupon, which was awesome, since I could easily have spent much more than I did. Definitely worth checking out!

Waldo Strange: Helpful staff, good assortment of products, clean and well organized. They have a loyalty program that is free to sign up for. Dinged a star, though, because their prices are a bit high in my opinion. Would like to see better deals at least on store brand things.

Poro Mitoto: I love this location. I first started going because of the Groupon coupons that I kept seeing pop up in my recommendations. The staff is super friendly and the guy who was working the cash register the past two times that I've been went out of his way both times for me. He even helped me sign up for their savings and gave me coupons. I wish I remembered his name.

Katie E: Fantastic selection at this art store and a wonderful staff eager to help you find what you need. Their ranges of materials and the brands they carry are extensive. This place became my new go-to after Pearl closed down. I've gone in for everything from fabric dye to pens/markers, pencil sets, pads, clay-work items, etc and not once have I walked out without exactly what I was looking for. If you're looking to cut down on costs, they also have an email list that's chock full of coupons.

Zawadi: what do users think?

Deborah Crain Kemp: This spot is a rare gem. The owner is a curator of afro-centric fashion, home decor, beauty and educational materials. She has been in located at this spot on U Street for over 40 years. If she doesn't have it, you probably don't need it. 🙂

Shamal Addison: Words can't describe the level of history and skills of the art that line the walls, shelves and racks within this DC shrine... #Zawadi should be a household name for all those that want authentic Afrakan artifacts from a collector and dealer that shares your better innate interests... Make sure you buy 4 or 5 pieces per every visit to this iconic landmark!!! Asè #Ububutu

S Callahan: Very dope lady who works there. It's open on odd days out the week but it is a nice little gem to find off U street.

Keisha B. Nelson: Great experience! So many authentic pieces and beautiful gifts! Would recommend taking a visit.

TDA: An almost-hidden gem on U St NW between 15th and 16th. Go inside an see a wealth of African art from across that vast and varied continent. You can also find pieces made for the casual tourist. The owner is experienced and knowledgeable, and the prices are very reasonable for North America.

Christee Cuttino: Beautiful and unique artwork, jewelry, clothing, and furniture! If you're looking for a place to purchase a gift this is the place to go. Ms Irene (the owner) is friendly and knowledgeable.... She has the most lovely purses that you won't see anyone anywhere with! Wall art, table placement decor, and statuettes too! Last but not least a library of books to choose from. If we hadn't shown up within an hour of closing time we'd have spent the whole day there.... I'm certain if it! Despite the fact that we love in northern MD, we'll definitely be going back.... this place is a must frequent for me!

Valerie Previl: Irene and the staff at Zawadi really know how to make you feel at home. Their selection of goods throughout the diaspora is vast and jaw dropping. It’s beautiful to see how creative we are in all disciplines. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Mia Ross: They host an incredible collection of African relics and art pieces. Usually they can tell you exzactly where a piece is from and the story behind it. My favorite part is the jewlery, the pieces are one of a kind and fairly priced. Highly suggested.

harris jt: It was amazing! The owner was so nice. Explained where each item was from and use. I Left more knowledgeable than I came in. Definitely would recommend.

Marcie Nolen Moss: ♥️🖤💚

Handmade Habitat: what do users think?

Lo Bryan: The owner is amazing and has some really good smelling products. I needed a batch of candle kits for some gift bags with a quick turnaround- the next day. The owner and her team provided great communication on the status of my order and ensured the items were ready in time. The kits are all around great gifts for any occasion and can be used for men and women. I will definitely order more of these for my other events. I can't wait to also try her items personally for my own indulgence. She has some many wonderful things in the shop that I want to try more items.
Response: Thanks so much! It was a pleasure putting these together for you. <3

Tobi Owoyemi: This was such a great experience! She was so informative and engaging. I’ve been candle making before, but this time I learned a lot about how to maintain your candles. Felicia was amazing (:

Emily Springer: The absolute best local candles, and the owner is Amina is so kind and thoughtful. I don’t like overwhelming manufactured scents; these soft floral scents are in constant rotation in my home. Perfect for gifts.
Response: Thank you so much!

Shahrezad Ghayrat: Bad customer service!!! I called in to inquire about their soy wax but they hanged up TWICE! Unprofessional and unwilling to help you. The woman who picked up the phone didn’t even bother listening to anything I said after mentioning Soy Wax and where did they order it from. As a customer it’s often a normal act to ask questions about the product they purchased to understand it more but they seemed have no customer service skills. one star review and will not come back to purchase anything from them!
Response: Hello I’m sorry you couldn’t reach us. We do not have a publicly listed phone number as we are an online business and conduct business by email, not phone. It sounds like you got a wrong number.

Bridget Wright: My favorite candles for myself and as gifts.. Excellent customer service and the personalized candles are a gem.
Response: Thanks so much for sharing our work! The custom candles are a particular favorite for us to make. :)

Monica Grover: Amazing customer service, amazing products!

Terratorie Maps + Goods: what do users think?

Ethan Nadler: I love this store. It is so well designed and beautiful, a delight just to walk in and soak in the colors. Great service too, a painting from them fell and they fixed the Matting for me free of charge.

Gwen Milder: I purchased a map of my neighborhood for our home and love it so much that I bought one for a friend for Christmas. Not only is the map super cute, the shipping was SO FAST and was packaged perfectly. Love Terratorie Maps!

Bailey DeSimone: A beautiful, welcoming shop with an amazing array of stationery goods and artwork. I always shop here for my writing and decorative needs. The staff is warm and friendly, and they genuinely care about providing wonderful service and assistance. The map and card collections are gorgeous - Cherry Blossom Creative is a local neighborhood treasure.

Austin Graff: Cherry Blossom Creative is a small, local gift and craft store in the Atlantic Plumbing Building in Shaw. It's small and easy to miss, but it's worth a visit if you're nearby. They sell art supplies like pens and notebooks. They also sell local art from an artist who makes cards and posters of many neighborhoods in the city (they are cool, but they only have one "East of the River" neighborhood).

Jess Harris: I absolutely LOVE this store. The artist's map paintings are my favorite. We have moved 4 times within D.C., and we always buy a painting to represent our new neighborhood!

Cristina Thomas: I love stationary and maps, so this place is perfect for me. It's small, but has a nice collection of notebooks, journals, and pens. I went there specifically for their map collection. I saw a smaller version of the work previously and fell in love with the designs. They have nearly every DC neighborhood (including several suburbs) and have expanded into other areas of the US.

Oliver Peckham: First visited Cherry Blossom Creative after finding them on a list of Field Notes retailers and found a charming, hip little shop with well-curated stationery and gifts. Staff are friendly and prices are reasonable. Location is a bit out of the way, but Cherry Blossom is worth a stop.

Lauren Mulvihill: We happened upon Cherry Blossom while wondering around Shaw but I’m so glad that we did. This little shop is so well stocked and the employee that was helping us provided one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! They mainly sell stationary and writing utensils which are actually very competitively priced. I purchased a Leuchttrum1917 dotted for $16.95. They normally run $17-$20 on Amazon. Their selection is sizeable but not overwhelming and there are a variety of test pads scattered throughout the store. The woman working on 10/7 was AMAZING. I wish I remembered her name so I could give her a shout out. She helped us and showed us highlights without feeling pushy, she was hilarious and informed us of the future of the store. They’re currently remodeling and are supposedly adding a pen wall in the future which is one of the many reasons I will be frequenting Cherry Blossom in the future. If you love pens and notebooks and office supplies you must check them out.

Orlando: Awesome, homey store that will delight any designer/creative! They carry a lot of creative products you won't find in chain stores, such as "School of Life" products, Field Notes, and cool stationary. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, and she's really friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back here.

Abderrahmane Neggaz: Cherry Blossom Creative designed labels and packaging for my chocolate company Chocotenango. While we gave them full creativity, we also did have some ideas in mind as our website was already completed with a certain style. They are experienced, very creative, very professional and full of new ideas, which fit in perfectly with our desired style. We continue to rely on them for new product labels, print ads and various other things. Highly recommended.

Martina Rosen: Overcharged, phone call not returned, mean salesperson. Would go through Amazon if I had it to do over again. Here are the excruciatingly detailed details: I was in earlier this week. I had what I would consider odd experiences with one of the store clerks. It sounds like generally Jenni Bick has excellent customer service but that wasn’t my experience across the board. One employee was kind but the other seemed a bit mean if I can put it directly. We had a few encounters that left me feeling uneasy. I can’t say I have had that experience anywhere else — I generally have an easy time interacting with people. This was frustrating because my trip to this store was meant to be a treat. It isn’t inexpensive, and I used my lunch break to walk up to their store and back from K and 20th. I was looking forward to a nice experience buying a nice journal. This same salesperson wound up overcharging me for a product after displaying much scrutiny about the labeled price. I actually didn’t realize I was overcharged until looking at my receipt the next day. I bought two journals — one Moleskin for about $27, one clearance journal listed at $15, because it had some damage. After studying the journal for quite a while (and confirming when I mentioned the discounted price that she had seen it), I was charged $25; almost twice as much. When I brought the journal back to my office and fully unwrapped it I clearly saw the damage. (But for $15 it’s fine!) I called first thing in the morning the next day, and listened to my voicemail before sending it. My phone number was clear both times I said it. It’s been two full business days and I haven’t received a call back. It just seems odd. I put in a second call this morning but at this point feel somewhat frustrated. I wouldn’t have gone there if I had known it would be like this. The whole point of going into a store rather than Amazon was for the shopping experience.

J Sheehan: Though the products are quality and gorgeous, the staff were so passive aggressive. Instead of telling us they were closing, they played Closing Time by Semisonic. I understand the desire to close up shop, but the staff should be responsible for kindly communicating that. I will be ordering online instead of visiting the shop and recommend others do as well.

Piper Strzelecki: This is one of my favorite spots in the area!! The shop is perfect for cute gifts: stationary, puzzles, tote bags, and every writing utensil you could imagine. Very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend.

Robert Gregory: My wife likes pens. And paper too. So she likes this store. She has good taste. I just walk around the neighborhood while she shops.

Grant Smith: Top notch quality. Fast customer inquiry response, quick production and good tracking. Absolutely first class selection, and with the front window and custom gold leaf script, you can literally create any theme. I went for the "Ode to the Dreadnought..."

Meaghan Nelson Gibb: I do custom orders a couple of times per month and they make it so simple from start to finish. Their customer service is really excellent, the quality is 100% and the shipping/delivery notifications are great! Could not ask for more!

Julie Palangi: Store personnel were disinterested and dismissive. Having been my first time in, it would have been great to be welcomed and asked if I needed any help. Was studiously ignored instead. Weird when there was only 2-3 other customers. Selection was fine, although I'm not sure stamping my name on the cover of a notebook constitutes "custom?" I was expecting to actually create my own journal with specific pages and sections. I should have done homework before trekking up there I guess. Won't be back.

Zack Williams: Awesome place with excellent staff! I was looking at the travelers notebook series or a different Midori product and was having trouble making up my mind. They left me alone for an hour wondering around the shop trying to figure out what I wanted and occasionally making sure I was still good and didn’t need any more help. I look forward to going back on my next trip to DC and will be sure to tell my friends to go here should they be the type who might be interested. The website doesn’t do the selection justice so if you don’t see something you are interested in online, but will be in the area, you should still go in and check it out!

Kavitha: The embossing on the journal was not straight so unfortunately had to get a replacement journal but opted out of the embossing as I didn't want to risk it again. So I just ended up with a regular planner which was quite disappointing. Customer service was very prompt through and I did get the embossing fee refunded so that was great but overall a disappointing experience.

Callan Eschenburg: A great selection of stationary, notebooks, and fine custom journals. Nice selection of pens and some ink bottles/cartridges as well. I have found many great deals in their sale/clearance section as well. Always walk out with way more than I came in for, but still at a great price!
Response: Thanks for the review, Callan! We're happy to be a regular shop for you. Hope you'll be back to see us soon :)

Abstract Inc: what do users think?

Maxine Segarnick Keefe: A true gem of an art supply store. This is the kind of store that, as an artist, I walk into an feel instantly inspired. Like a kid in a candy shop. Lots of unique items for sale. The prices are good and the owner is lovely and sells a little bit of everything. His store has been in Brookland since the 1970s, around the same time the beloved Murry & Paul's diner opened. Definitely worth the visit.

Carla Roberts: My children are all artist and we’ve shopped at Abstract for 20 years or more easily! The owner is so kind that whenever my children are home they visit because they can always find the art supplies they need but mostly for the opportunity to converse with the owner.

Isabella Wirth: This place is fantastic! I've lived in DC my entire life and have yet to find an art store whose atmosphere I enjoy more. The store offers a wide selection of affordable art supplies, including an art gallery with paintings up for sale. The owner is also extremely kind and helpful. I 100% recommend this place the next time you're shopping for art supplies!

Michael Berry: I wish I could say something positive about this establishment and I would if I had not left a painting of mine there to be sold with the owner only to drop in a month or so later to find out it was sold and i was not notified nor did I receive a fair cut of whatever it was sold for! I was told he forgot to call me, forgot who he sold it to and how much he sold it for...what does that sound like to you!!!

Neil B: This is a Brookland institution that has been in the neighborhood since 1972. The owner is very nice, and the atmosphere is electric. This is not a fancy store with fluorescent lights and cookie cutter labels on each product. This place has soul. Every turn is an adventure. You may never know what treasure you may find, or what will inspire you. THIS is an Art store.

Darian Rose: They weren’t open even though the hours said they should be.

Ryan Francart: Unique art store, unfortunately did not have a large diversity of supplies but overall was a good experience.

seaweed#5: It is an amazing experience and a beautiful store more people should go it is worth every dollor. The owner is so nice.

Kyle Browne: The friendly and knowledgeable elder proprietor has owned this store for decades, and I will go out of my way to shop here.

Mark Robinson: Just an amazing locally owned business with highly knowledgeable and welcoming proprietor and staff. Highly recommend this store.

JOANN Fabric and Crafts: what do users think?

nance nichols: The staff is very nice although it doesn't appear they have much if any experience in crafts. They have a limited, albeit, somewhat clever inventory, which I feel is a little pricey compared to some on-line and brick and mortar stores. It is easily found off both front and back parking lots.

Rickey Anderson: While I was able to find suitable fabric for my next project unfortunately they didn't have the sewing patterns I needed. The staff was friendly and I did enjoy my visit.

p o: This location doesn't have a lot of stuff but it's also jot busy so you don't have to wait in line too long. The staff are helpful

Rochelle Lambert: Food is very good so the rating is not in reference to the food it is because there's hardly any wait staff. I can see they use the bartender as a waitress. They serve African cuisine and also American soul food very very good. The chef that prepares the African cuisine has a tendency to give you what she wants to give you and not what you order off the menu and her disposition is very offensive. The other chefs are excellent and very professional . But before you order anything, please ask them if they have it.. the drinks are great and the atmosphere it's nice.

Donna Adams Lee: The worst customer service by the manager. They had a sign up stating a sale price and the manager would not honor it. I will never shop in there again.

Mariyn Mowatt: Been going to Joanns as long as its been in Greenbelt Mall. I konw the girls and they know me. I enjoy going to Joanns in Greenbelt and i'm 86 yrears and still drive so if i need material i go to JoAnn's.

Barbara Johnson: The sales were great. I got everything I needed for my next Cricut project.

Angela Bowen: Customer service help was lacking greatly. No one wanted to call their other store to find out if they had item being sought, they acted as if they couldn't provide the item number and directed is to go online to research. This type of service encourages customers to shop online and causes stores to close.

Jeena Lee: Offers online ordering for in store pick up. Canvas, Brush, Acrylic, Clay, Pads, Pencil, Charcoal, and Tool Kits plus sanitizer and tapes

olaolu Akinbolu: They have different fabric and materials you looking for, they are well organized and displayed..nice place

Looped Yarn Works: what do users think?

J H. Beyers: I've been there maybe 7, 8 times because They have the yarns I like and it's the closest yarn shop from home. I love what they have. I love the cute place. But for some reason I have never felt welcomed by the workers. They're nice if I say hi or ask something. But maybe I was greeted by them once before I did. I hear them greeting to other customers so I wonder why? I hope it's not because I'm an Asian? I like supporting local/small businesses but i feel kind of sad every time I leave the shop even with the yarns I wanted in my hands. I'm sad because I'd love the place if I ever get to feel welcomed like I do at other places in MD or VA but I've never felt it there yet.

jaqueline lazcano: Very nice store! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Love all the selection of yarns they have and appreciate that they have a reduced price/ clearance section. Looking forward to attending their knit nights and classes.

Sha Mar: I needed some knitting materials for my mom who just want to start her knitting class today. I found this place on yelp and I fell in love with it. The place was located in the second floor of the building! There were two nice ladies greeted us upon our arrival and explained where everything located in the store! They also showed us sale section and explained their awards program. After spending some times looking in the store finally we found our material that needed! Quite an amazing experience!

Esther Yook: Great selection. Staff is very helpful if you're looking for local yarns

Byron Cotton: Looped Yarn Works has an excellent selection of yarns and supplies. Those who work there were very helpful to me, on my first visit. Pricing is palatable.

Jillian Johnson: I love supporting my LYS! First time in to Looped Yarn Works, although I've followed them on IG for quite some time. The shop gals were very helpful and answered all my questions. The yarn selection is top quality and the layout is easy to follow. Metered street parking available around the block. I purchased three kinds of bulky yarn for a few projects I've got lined up. Prices are affordable. Highly recommend a visit, or two.

Anne A.D.: This is my favorite yarn store. They have a wide selection of yarn, all of which are just beautiful. The people there are extremely helpful and they will go out of their way to help you out. 100% one of the best shops in DC.

Amanda Tronsdal: Beautiful shop and very friendly, helpful staff. Great yarn selection with lots of knitted up projects for inspiration. Fun and useful notions and swag. Will definitely be back when I'm in town.

Anna Doorenbos: Love this local yarn shop. Everyone is kind and helpful, w a decent selection. Can always find what I need!

Helene Monteil: I LOVE this store, Loop Yarn Work! I have been going there for 9 years and I still enjoy going as if it was the first day! The staff is extremely helpful and kind, and the choice of colorful yarn is exquisite.

Appalachian Spring: what do users think?

carrie morris: I’ve been a fan of this beloved treasure trove of eclectic, hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind, locally & nationally sourced gallery-style inspired gift-shop for years! (Enough said ) As others have emphasized, no matter the occasion or persuasion, one seldom leaves empty handed. The collection of master craftsperson’s is overwhelming & the kindness & knowledgeable Appalachian team make the experience memorable every visit! A special shout out to Alice!!!! A must stop on your tripTik!

Pete: If you are looking for something that are made in the United States. This is the place I am recommending to you guys to check it out. They have a lot of beautiful stuffs in the store. If you are a guy that is looking for something your lady. This is your top place to pick a gift for someone. They have beautiful bags, earrings, house decorations and necklace or all wood kitchen tools. Most items are made in U.S.A.

Tom De Seve: We have shopped here for years. This a great shop for unique gifts. There is jewelry, pottery, children's gifts, cards, calendars, games and candles. This list is representative, not exhaustive. I highly recommend if you are looking for something special for someone special.
Response: Thank you for shopping with us and the kind recommendations!

Karl Van Neste: I have always enjoyed walking around this store to see the variety of nicely crafted items, usually locally sourced. I ended up getting a handsome stone "magic pot" for my wife. This is a great place for gifts, some interesting jewelry items, pots and service pieces.

Rick Yorgey: We've been shopping at Appalachian Spring for years. The variety and quality of handmade gifts that this store carries is unsurpassed anywhere in the area (that I've found)! From gorgeous cutting boards to eye-catching glassware and plates for casual and patio dining; from fabulous jewelry to wraps, scarves, and other unique clothing. Purses, trivets and more. You won't be disappointed unless you're looking for mass produced, same-old-same-old. We buy wedding gifts here regularly and I always shop here when looking for a necklace or earrings for my wife.

Deirdre Rogers: Super friendly and knowledgeable staff with an amazing collection of artisan crafts. I don't think I've ever left without a purchase and all my friends from across the country enjoying seeing an Appalachian Spring box for their birthday or Christmas!

Iris Perry: It is always a joy to entry in this place. The inventory of glass, wood, jewelry and other rare finds are amazing. This is a perfect place to shop for American made and unique gifts.

Katie Johnston: Came in randomly and ended up with a great, special gift for my grandmother for mother's day. I loved the unique selection of artist-made items. The sales lady was so sweet, and really seemed to enjoy chatting about the artists. She also wrapped my items beautifully. This was my first time shopping at Appalachian Springs, and it certainly won't be my last.!

Jeff Kuhn: Great pottery, jewelry, and other gifts at this store. If you've ever been to the juried Sugerloaf Craft Festivals, this store has some very similar high-end items. It has been a go-to of mine for several years when I need something special for my wife or friends.

Kristina McNeely: This place has the most unique items. A little bit of everything.

Steadfast Supply: what do users think?

A Smith: Just accept the fact that you're going to buy something when you go in here. They have anything and everything. I would say this is a great place for gifts or to treat yourself to a little something. I left with a journal, keychain and tote bag. Being an 80s baby that grew up in NY with Keith Haring I couldn't leave without that bag! The staff was very friendly and the selection was impressive. I believe this is the same store that reached out to my bakery to take part in their summer market, but I plan on moving from DC this summer. This company seems like they're doing great things! I'll be back.
Response: Hello A Smith! Thank you for the kind and supportive words. We greatly appreciate it. As you know, running a small business is tough. And so your comment really mean a lot to us. Hope your moves goes smoothly! Hope to see you soon! - Virginia, Owner of Steadfast Supply

Hope Greenleaf: Amazing gift shop! You can truly find something unique for everyone here. The store is super kid and dog friendly, to include changing tables in the restrooms. This could be a lifesaver for parents in the busy navy yard neighborhood! They offer events and classes for kids and adults alike! Checkout the music class on Sundays!
Response: Hi Hope - Thank you for your continued support! We truly appreciate the lovely compliment :) Thank you again, and look forward to seeing you soon! - Virginia, owner of Steadfast Supply.

Amber Wason: My favorite store in DC. The gifts are carefully curated and always a hit. Staff is friendly and helpful. Recently utilized their personal shopping service and they virtually shopped for my gifts, had them waiting in a basket when I picked up. Can’t recommend enough! Panda and T Rex t-shirts pictured here. ✌🏼
Response: Hi Amber, Thank you for your 5-star review! I am truly grateful for your support, and so happy that I was able to assist you with your gift giving needs. These times are uncertain, but to have the support from you and the community that we reside in - is so phenomenal :) Thank you truly! - Virginia, owner of Steadfast Supply.

Julie Donnan: What a fun shop! Great variety of high quality goods, but what is even better is the friendly and welcoming atmosphere the staff create. I walked out of the store not only with some beautiful gifts but also a welcome to my new neighborhood & also some restaurant recommendations!
Response: Hi Julie, Thank you! Your comment made our day :) We greatly appreciate your honest feedback! We're so happy that your experience was a positive one! Welcome again to the neighborhood, and have an awesome day! Stay cool! - Virginia, owner of Steadfast Supply.

joyce b: Great shop to get local items! Great for picking up gifts. So many items from the DC metro area. Items for the home, beauty products, jewelry/clothing, posters, children’s clothing... Super friendly and helpful when you drop by!
Response: Hi Joyce, Thank you for your kind words! We truly appreciate your support - you're awesome :) We're constantly introducing new brands to our lovely customers - Hope to have you back soon, and have a great day! - Virginia, Owner of Steadfast Supply.

Response: Hi Ankit, Thank you for your 5-star review! Totally made our day :) We greatly appreciate your support, and hope you have an awesome day! - Virginia, owner of Steadfast Supply.

Gabriel Mendoza: I've enjoyed this shop very much since they opened. I try to stop in every time I go down to the Yards and am always happy to support a local business that is rooted in supporting local artists. Sometimes that will come at a premium but I have never once regretted any purchase. There is a great selection of goods and friendly staff that is there to help should you need it. The store has so much to look at so I appreciate not feeling like I have to hurry when inside. Thank you Steadfast Supply, I will continue to come by and support your shop.
Response: Hi Gabe, Thank you for your 5-star review! We are so grateful for your kind words and support. Our small, yet mighty team works so hard to make sure that our shop is stocked with great goods by small businesses from across the globe, and to make sure that your experience is a positive one! From all of us, thank you! We are so appreciative! - Virginia, owner of Steadfast Supply.

Rachel Newdorf: This was the first place I thought of when I needed to get a gift for a friend, especially when trying to support small businesses in the area. The shop's website is easy to navigate and before the pandemic when I was able to shop in-store, the associates were friendly and they have the coolest stuff for sale! After I placed my online order the store personally emailed me to tell me that the items I ordered were shipped along with the personalized note I had asked for. The fact that they took the time to let me know my order was taken care of really shows me how much they care about their business and their customers. I highly recommend checking them out - you will not be disappointed!
Response: Hi Rachel, Thank you for your 5-star review! Your kind comment really made our day, and we are truly grateful for your support! As a small business, 2020 has been rough but we are so appreciative of the support from our amazing customers - like you!! You're awesome, and thank you again for visiting us online & in-store - Virginia, owner of Steadfast Supply.

Artist & Craftsman Supply Hyattsville: what do users think?

Rodricka Elliott: One of my most favorite places on the planet Earth! They have everything you need as an artist + much more.
Response: How kind, Rodricka! We thank you and look forward to seeing you next time! 😊🎨✨

Claudia Ahwireng: I really love this place. They had all the supplies I needed(canvas paper, sketchbook, pallete knife, pencils, butcher tray). Kat--the sales associate--was so knowledgeable and friendly. There was parking. This is a great place to get art supplies.
Response: Thank you for sharing your review, Claudia! We really appreciate it! 😊

Kathy Thomas: Great art supplies!! My son bought me here to shop for art supplies, after leaving all of my own at home in Illinois, near Chicago. I was very happy in this store, my needs were taken care of.
Response: That is just wonderful to hear, Kathy; We're happy to hear you had a great time! When you miss us back at home, you can check us out online anytime at artistcraftsman.com 🎨✨ On Instagram: @artistcraftsman_hyattsville & on Facebook: Facebook.com/artistcraftsmansupply.hyattsville We look forward to seeing you again sometime 😊

Christopher Miller: This store is a gem. Fully stocked with actual artist grade supplies. And I don't mean that in a snobby way, but if I'm looking for a specific type of ink, paper, canvas, or paint, they have it. And if they don't, their very knowledgeable and helpful staff can point you in the right direction. They have a couple of discounts for students, teachers, etc. So make sure to bring ID.

Julie Thompson: disappointing day. prices on shelf were $10 more at the cash register. Guess who got to pay --me! Next time no more gift cards. After loving the store a sad sense of how i am unvalued as a customer

Susan Wallington: The staff is very helpful and friendly, and everything is easy to locate in-store. I love getting to look at all the new things they get in!
Response: Thank you very much for sharing your experience and review, Susan! 😊

Mia E: They have Everything I need as an artist to create. This store is incredible. The amount of different media displayed in the space is done in a serene and extremely well-organized way. I just discovered the store yesterday and I'm elated to have this in my neighborhood. Can't say enough good things, but I will be returning any time I need art supplies or gifts (yes, they also have a cleverly curated selection of gifts).
Response: Thank you for your review, Mia! We're so happy you discovered us :D We hope you'll visit again soon.

Sunyatta Amen: Our absolute fav art store. Super helpful staff and selections of specialty products we haven't seen elsewhere. Top notch!
Response: Thank you for your review, Sunyatta! We appreciate the feedback and look forward to seeing you again soon!

Michelle Pajibo: I love this place!! The staff was great and helpful. One of the staff members literally helped us to find all of our items. He asked all the right questions and we walked out with everything we needed and a few goodies. Check this place out, you won't be disappointed.
Response: Thank you for your review, Michelle! We appreciate your support and hope to see you again soon!

Ruby Thornton Bracy: My husband and I are expanding our brand. We stopped by due to several referrals. We were in awe by all of the supplies from acrylic paints to airbrushing tools and paints from handmade paper to different types of canvases, this is the place to go. Anthony Ivory helped us find the right paints to use and even encouraged us to keep going. This is definitely the place to go if you're for anything artsy.
Response: Thank you for your review, Ruby! We appreciate your support and hope to see you again soon!

Honey Made: what do users think?

Vanessa Long: I had to pick up a last minute gift for a friends birthday and the owner of this store helped me pick out everything I needed. She also made a lovely little gift bag, and I found out all the work in the store are her designs! This is a great little spot so glad I came across it at the perfect moment.

Karla Núñez: This is such a cute store! Came in purely because I saw a corgi oven mit. The owner was so sweet to help look for another one. I also picked up a couple of bandannas and they’re so soft against my skin and super fashionable. Great place for gift buying!

Katherine McQuinn: I live in Hill East and this shop has been a sweet addition to the neighborhood. Their selection is thoughtfully curated and fun. These one star reviews are likely from folks who have never been here (look at their profiles) and are merely retaliating against a business that Pres. Biden shopped at. They are misdirecting their anger and punishing a small business owner that just happens to have a shop in DC. Please try to look past them!

B booth: Never been, but I plan to go soon. I hear they have Kamela mugs, and I REALLY need to memorialize my fondness for the greatest leader since Lincoln with a mug.

Metro Variety Shop: what do users think?

Melanie Ramirez: An AMAZING store with a ton of souvenir gifts to choose from. The owner is very sweet and gives good discounts and free items! Definitely recommend to stop by for your Washington DC gifts!

Jessica Corson: This was by far the most phenomenal souvenir shop I have been to passing through on travel. They have such a great variety of souvenirs and is a very detailed/clean store! The owner is unbelievably generous and a sweet man! He gave us discounts and free items just because! He definitely made sure we were taken care of and left happy! Outstanding customer service!! 😁😁

J W8ites: It's one of the greatest place to look for a souvenir from Washington D.C. It is a heavensent store with a business owner who is very nice, courteous and super generous! A wonderful store to make you happy with your purchases. This should be a 10 star. For anyone who is into souvenir memorabilia, look for Metro Variety Shop!

Emily Bonilla: Mr. Chung was the absolute sweetest souvenir shop owner! My visit happened to be close to Father’s Day & he gave my dad an extra free t-shirt along with many other freebies. Not only is he an amazing store owner but an amazing father. He spoke very proudly of his successful children, which was very sweet.

Juliette Morris: Thank you Dr. Chung!!! I’m from Miami and chose this place based on google reviews. They have a wide variety and the best customer service ever. Dr. Chung and the young lady working with him both assisted my friend and I. Helped us pick everything out, I didn’t have to think too hard lol. Also threw in some freebies. If you’re looking for a souvenir shop when in town check them out!!

Elicia Tumbleson: This was the best souvenir shop I’ve ever been to! The owner and the shop employee were so sweet and helpful. The owner told us he had been there for 41 years and was the nicest man I’ve ever met. They gave us discounts on things, gave us free t-shirts, magnets, Christmas tree ornaments, and a keychain. If you are looking to get gift from DC, definitely stop here! 10/10 will recommend!

starryyuri: owner is an extremely kind and generous man!! through our purchase, we were given discounts on everything! he offered paper towels and water for our comfort, and talked to us about how we found his store. throughout our time there, we were given: a free tote bag a free magnet two free pens a free t shirt two free hand sanitizers a commemorative coin absolutely amazing experience, i would love for all of you to check out the spot! right in the metro station :)

Melissa Free: I spent $62🤑 got 4 shirts and he was so kind to throw in a magnet. I walked from my hotel 3 miles to find his shop at 8pm located near the subway. Great find and worth the journey. I too was assisted by the owner Chung or Chang. Great variety of souvenirs.

Noelia Patino: Mr. Chung was the friendliest person we encountered in DC! The shop has a ton of options. The young lady working gave great suggestions based on what we liked. Better deals than the little stands around the monuments. It’s definitely worth checking out if anything for the great customer service!

Becky Franks: One of the best souvenir stores I've been to in DC! Mr. Chung was so kind and handed out a few free items with purchase to me and my family. Both men in the store were so kind and accommodating. So many items to choose from! You won't be disappointed visiting this shop.

Artistic Artifacts: what do users think?

Leah: This shop has quilt fabric and some unique options (international variety) but it also has a huge selection of crafty mixed media art supplies. Just like the shop name says- artistic artifacts! Fabric is sold in 1/2 yard minimum cuts. They ship fabric too and are responsive when you ask questions about stock or shipping. If you’re able to visit in person you can see so much cool stuff they have in the shop. Pretty ribbons. Lots of mixed media supplies. A good thread selection. And they’re a Bernina dealer and offer machine servicing, plus classes. They also have a selection of notions, books and other interesting things. (They also had Girl Scout cookies for sale which was a bonus.) If you can’t visit in person, the owner has some walk-through videos posted on her website and Facebook. Definitely a fun shop to check out. I took a fabric dyeing workshop here as well. A great shop to have in the community. Support your local business and find some fun art supplies here!
Response: Leah, Thank you so much for your positive review and overview of your visit to the shop. We love the pictures of the shop you shared. We are adding lots of fat quarter bundles and pre-cut fabrics for quilters. As your pictures suggest, have added lots of fabrics this summer, and have opened a room once used as a classroom for fabrics and patterns for those who sew garments. We look forward to seeing you again! Artistic Artifacts

Bonnie Bell: Loved the store and all it has to offer. This was my first time there. Not to pleased with their method of pricing fabric. Price on bolt of fab of is for 1/2 yard instead of per yard. I purchased 3 yards at what I thought would be roughly $18.00 Instead it was $36.00. The young lady offered to recut 1/2 yards after perhaps noticing my expression and comment. She said they used to do mail order. But if you're no longer doing mail order why not give full pricing. If seem to me that it is to confuse customers (like me) and somewhat bait them into keeping the whole yard of fabric.
Response: Thank you for visiting and sharing how much you loved the store. We apologize if there was confusion about our pricing of our quality quilting fabrics. We do have signage throughout the store and on the bolts about pricing by the half yard. You must have over looked it in your excitement to find what you wanted. We do hope you come again.

Virginia Kinzer: This store has an amazing collection of fabric, thread, sewing/quilting supplies, and ephemera. The talented staff is there to graciously assist you. Just bring your imagination.
Response: Thank you so much for your kind review. We appreciate your business.

Diana Guenther: Unique store for fiber artists, sewers and quilters. This is a "candy store" for creatives. Artistic Artifacts is also a Bernina dealership. There are great workshops too. You can find fabric, thread, needles, patterns and sewing notions. There are dyed yarns, resin supplies, stamps, stamp pads, embellishments, foils, gelatos, embossing powders, stencils, markers, fabric dyes and more. There's always something new and exciting to find here... It's a destination guaranteed to get your maker's imagination churning! I love this place. You'll find the staff very friendly and knowledgeable.
Response: Diana, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. You obviously toured our entire shop of Creative Finds and we appreciate your giving us such a great shout out!

Chantica Wheeler: If you are looking for something for mixed media art or printing or quilting or sewing you have to come and see what they have to offer. Take your time they have quite a bit in a smaller space.
Response: Thank you so much Chantica for visiting and for your review. We look forward to seeing you again.

Christine Vinh: Artistic Artifacts is my happy place! A wonderful selection of new and vintage products for the fiber and mixed media artist. The owner, Judy Gula, has created a welcoming community of creative folks who frequent the shop and are always good for inspiration.
Response: Thanks Christine for your wonderful review. We are proud of the community we have developed which is a very important part of who we are as a business.

Margaret Rivera: So much fun! Great fabric selection and wonderful staff there to help! I'll be back!
Response: Thank you so much Margaret. We appreciate your review & look forward to your return visit.

M W: Great customer service from this local shop - highly recommend! I recently was looking to upgrade my sewing machine and emailed Artistic Artifacts. Judy got back to me immediately and we subsequently chatted on the phone. She was extremely helpful and patient and explained the different features of the machines I was considering. What struck me the most was how she did not try to push a pricier machine on me, she was just informative, helpful, and objective. This, along with a great price, was a deciding factor in choosing to buy a machine here. I had experienced a pushier salesperson the day prior at another dealer who was trying hard to get me to buy a machine out of my clearly stated price range. When I picked-up my machine they didn't have a couple of presser feet I was looking for and Judy ordered them and still honored the discount you get at the point of sale for a new machine. I have been so pleased with the service and professionalism here and am even happier knowing I'm supporting a local shop. They also carry an impressive selection of Bernina accessories and a wide array of quilting fabrics and notions. Very impressive shop all around!
Response: Thank you so much Maria. We appreciate your review but most importantly, we appreciate having you as a valued customer. Enjoy your new machine

Hypepraise: It's my favorite place to play. I found my tribe of creatives here. We share, encourage challenge and root for one other. Judy carries lots of really cool ephemera in addition to the fabric. Batik Timbal is awesome. Fun mixed media shop well worth visiting.
Response: Thank you so much for your kind review. Creating community is part of our mission & it’s gratifying to know we are succeeding.

j. gill: Specialty shop for quilting and embroidery and textile crafts. Very nice and helpful staff. Also a dealer of machines for the purposes: sewing, sergers, embroidery. Books and patterns and some finished crafts too. Large classroom area in the back to learn the crafts. It's a hidden gem.
Response: J. Gill, Thank you so much for visiting our shop and sharing your review! We appreciate your support and hope to see you again soon.
