University of the District of Columbia Community College (UDC-CC): what do users think?

Henok D: The most terrible school I have ever been to. Both the main campus and the Community college are the same. A lot of slow, unprofessional, and rude staff who keep yelling at students when they are not even doing their jobs properly. I submitted a certain paper to the Financial Aid office and they told me they lost the paper after weeks that I had to pay about $1700 out of pocket. During the 2020 Pandemic, I tried to contact them as I was having difficulty to waive the Student Insurance that is provided through the school because I already had an insurance coverage; no one answered my call until it was due. And now Miss Gaskon told me that I have to pay about $1300 for the coverage I never needed. Mis Gascon was there in 2018/19 when I had the same issue; she helped me waive it then. I could not go to her office in 2020 be a of Covid restrictions. I tried to solve the issue communicating with them but nothing got better yet. I would not recommend anyone to go the UDC unless one needs a headache. I cannot deny that there are some great Professors such as Prof. Sonnie Abebaku. However, individuals are very helpful to us, it’s overall experience at the university that makes a difference in our academic lives. So far, my overall experience is just TERRIBLE!

Yesly Turcios: GLEN DOMINA rudest person ever if you are working under a facility and a Student is inquiring on information/assistance you should be able to provide that at your upmost ability but unfortunately that was not the case here..

Danny Hirschfield: I graduated UDC-CC with an AA degree in Liberal Studies Fall Class of 2015 Alumnus. This college really helped me develop my learning skills as I am an older non-traditional student that started as a freshman with very little prior knowledge and discipline in academia. I have transitioned to the UDC flagship campus pursuing my BA degree in Political Science as a pre-law student. This university is the most affordable place to get a good quality education being the only public higher learning institution in Washington, D.C.

Jamilya Allen: Okay So I applied about 3weeks to a month ago and I’ve yet to receive any papers informing me if I was missing any documents or etc. I’ve called at least 5 times a day for about two weeks straight leaving voicemail after voicemail and no one has yet to return my call not only did I call multiple times I have also emailed them multiple and no response. It’s ridiculous what’s the point of having an admissions office if they not even going to pick up the phone, guide you in the process of being admitted or anything else like you guys get paid to do nothing it’s sad.

h T: This University has only good professors! But getting a Bachelor from the UDC will not get you a job!! Their jobs faire is just to get a website from the companies and brochures lol!

Jordan Stewart: The financial aid lady with gray hair and dreads is disrespectful af. Most of the staff here are disorganized and rude. I disenrolled 2 months ago. When I went to disenroll the lady was eating crab legs in front of me. Come to find out she never really disenrolled me, and I had to go back up there today. Smh. I really wanted this to work bc I’m a Dc Resident but I’m enrolling at PGCC.

School of Professional & Extended Studies: what do users think?

Danyal Sheikh: AU is not only beautiful, but its amazing. The campus, the people, the professors, the facilities - everything is great! I love AU a lot and my college experience has been great in America just because of AU! Once an eagle, always an eagle! :D

Dezso Simon: I am absolutely outraged at the decision made by American University to ban white students from the student lounge! This is downright racial discrimination, and it is against the law! May the Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on the administrators of this so-called "tolerant" institution.

Art Lover: Wonderful campus, great teachers, good school! I earned an MA at AU and had a great time meeting people, learning and getting to know the DX area!

Joe Sawicki: Campus is small, but maintained well. Free shuttle will take you to the Tenleytown AU Metro station if you commute by train

Joshua Hill: Great experience. No better place to study and immerse oneself in Public Affairs. Josh Hill - Kansas City

University of California Washington Center: what do users think?

Randolph Head: One of the best facilities for a Washington internship program of any university. Safe, clean rooms with their own kitchens for students; in-house academic and support staff; and the core of Washington DC outside your door. Ivy-Leaguers and Stanford may have spiffier digs, but UC is a public university that is looking for the best possible value for students and for taxpayers, and this Center gets the balance pretty close to perfect.

Mohammad Fauzan Pontjeng: I love this university , because who wants to aspire school after graduating from high school here . I was the Indonesia , please if I went to school here give scholarships .

Alexis Limon: Cannot beat the location.

B R: Great location!

The George Washington University: what do users think?

Quinn Peters: This university is ruled out as a possible location for my children to attend. As long as that fraud of a justice Clarence Thomas has a professorship here, I’ll never give this place a red cent and I’ll pray every day for it’s ultimate failure.

Dominick Withanachchi: Love the way its situated. If you like a university in a big city, this is one of the best.

Garth Hedley: Amazing complex, beautiful buildings and friendly atmosphere.

Steven Zimmerman: an outstanding University for our son to obtain his Masters in Public Health

Anthony Scott: While the food was descent, the service was so so. Once the cashier finally paid attention to us and we were able to order, she was very friendly. But prior to taking our order, she continued to talk to another employee and chat about non work stuff and ignore customers. The sweet potato fries and grasshopper shake were very good.

Taylor Fain: Very disappointed in their response to covid. Forcing students who have children to go back into classes of 150 people. Very irresponsible and not taking safety seriously.

The Washington Center: what do users think?

Heather Baker: If I could give a worse review, I would. The Washington center is a scam for money. Anything they offer you could find on your own. I was fortune that I liked the internship they place me at but they forced me to take that internship. The workers gave the excuse that “it’s just such a good opportunity” instead of doing their jobs and looking into other internship sites. This program could be done by a middle schooler.

Brandon Uhalik: I had an incredible internship experience, and I wish I could say the same about The Washington Center program. The only part I enjoyed was my night class because my professor was amazing. 1. The lead program was absolutely awful. One of the very first classes was a 3 hour class on our Clifton Strengths. I felt like I was back in middle school during the class. My lead instructor was a very nice guy and knew what he was talking about, but the class in itself was pointless. 2. The various “Career and Proffesional Growth” events that we had to attend were extremely unorganized, and the ones that dealt with anything with journalism or politics was very partisan and to the left. During an event titled “Career in Campaigns”, TWC’S OWN STAFF MEMBER ASKED “WHAT CAN DEMOCRATS DO BETTER LEADING INTO 2020”. For a non-partisan program, the staff members seemed to love squeezing out their own agenda. I was excited to learn about campaign work, but it turned into “What can democrats do”. 3. The speaker series that we were REQUIRED to go turned into a conservative bashing event. All 3 panelists were clearly partisan and pushed their own political agenda. As a non-partisan program, shouldn’t TWC give equal representation? I was promised equal representation for the campaign event, but the republican woman on the panel said word for word “Women who voted for Trump only did it because their boyfriends or husbands said so”. Can you explain to me how that type of attitude helps us become professionals? My internship experience was fantastic, but I wouldn’t recommend the TWC program.

Sean Doyle: Internships look to be easy, and maybe you can get one, but not the powerful internships and programs around those internships that TWC can offer. My interactions with TWC have been great. Very interesting academic thinking. Wonderful interpersonal skills. The insights and deep deep relationships to the DC community they offer are life changing. I am a supporter of what they do. No other way to go about this.

John VanDaele: Poor communication, my internship supervisor quit the week I moved in and there was some confusion to where I was living. The living center had a few broken outlets and maintenance was impossible to get a hold of also the first week there was no air conditioning so image DC in June with no Air conditioning. Umm let see, well the program was a waste of time considering we spent a lot of time on our "strengths" learn from others that went here you can get a way better DC experience going solo. Also this place claimed to be non partisan but advocated for a certain agenda by having MANDATORY events to go to that only showed one side of an opinion, when students signed a letter demanding some respect what is their response? Hold a town hall type meeting then have a "bi partisan" event with two sides of the same coin. Then the exit meeting when we left, the staffer was extremely rude, pretty much thought I was in a hidden camera show. So disrespectful!

Georgetown University: what do users think?

Da-Wang Wu: I have several talented colleagues who graduated from Georgetown University, so I always want to visit this school. The campus is very beautiful, especially with the fall foliage. It’s a nice half-day trip to visit the university, the shopping area (mainly on M Street), the canal and the waterfront park.

Danny L: Must place to visit if you are visiting DC. Lots of things to do around the university. Great place for photography and sightseeing. Plenty of Restaurants around that area. You would love it.

David Gilbank: I fulfilled a lifelong ambition when I came to Georgetown to see where The Exorcist was filmed. I particularly wanted to throw my self down the stairs that featured in the finale. Obviously that could cause terrible damage, so I through a soft toy down instead. See photos. Its a brilliant beautiful neighbourhood. Well worth a visit.

Mj Dillenburg: Great graduation ceremonies! Except for the 95 degree heat and humidity....it was beautiful.

Russ Watts: Excellent university, superb perspective on the political realm, mindful about the Jesuit values.

Enric Piferrer Torres: We stopped for a quick walk around the university buildings, and it was worth it! It reminded me of Harry Potter somehow. Beautiful main building. We parked outside for free in a 2 hour parking (no meter). The neighborhood is beautiful too

Justin Ahearn: So charming and beautiful. Feel like I’m going to get culture of Washington DC and the people that I meet are great

Carolyn Taylor: This was a enjoyable experience, the seating was great for Covid safety . I would definitely attend an event here again

angel almonte: One of the best experiences I have had as a student. The professors were extremely helpful in guiding me to obtain an education . The facility is improving and they have an excellent student center. The student body is very a diverse population. The administration staff are as friendly. as you are to them. In other words if you act a fool than expect to be treated as one. 😊

C. M.: Took Spanish classes here for one year. I regret slacking on my Spanish.

American University: what do users think?

Praveen Sriram: Stayed here in the summer of 2005 for my internship in Washington DC and the experience was absolutely fabulous with the dining halls and the gym being my favorites. No complaints at all and excellent customer service from the residence hall staff. I sometimes wish I studied Accounting at this university than at the one I studied at. Great school and great residence halls. Highly recommend! A+

洪銘勳: I have received my master of law degree (international legal studies) from the Washington College of Law of this school. It’s a very internationalized and excellent university. I really miss it.

Santiago Tovar: My friend is away at a summer camp and given the precarious infrastructure of your so called "university" has no wifi. He is unable to communicate with friends and family. This is outrageous, its unfair. Please fix this ASAP.

Adam Cox: Graduated school here in 2005. Students are very engaged and staff friendly. Great place to study.

Gabrielle Thompson: Jacksfilms is a notable alum, and yet, I do not see his name. Therefore, I will not spend my valuable time or money on this university!

Sarah Ashworth: Loved my years at American!! Great diversity and learning community!

Igor Dorokhine: Priced at the level of Ivy League University but return is not at that level at all. BEWARE!

t Whittington: Great university. Amazing area. Amazing people.

TechCarsAnd EverythingElse: Mediocre University in DC. Georgetown is a better university.
