M B (M B): Had a great experience here! I went to one of their Saturday bike sales and was able to find a nice bike with the help of the staff! They also have a shop that you can go to for bike maintenance and to learn skills from the staff. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good bike in DC.
Brandon Sousa: Really happy with my experience here. I had a flat and they addressed it immediately, I was back on the road in 5 minutes. Reasonable prices, I think I paid $40 total for the tube, the tube change, and a new tougher tire, hopefully keeping the bits and bobs out of my ride.
Grant Sexton: Had several things fixed on my old Schwinn Traveler. The price for repair was great, and the customer service was as well. They gave me a very down to earth explanation of some of the problems on my bike too, which I appreciated because I often have trouble tracking with “bike guys.”

Aimee Norwood: Eric traveled out to Loudoun County to tune-up all of our family bikes. He was super professional and clearly exceptionally knowledgeable about bikes. He knew quite a bit about each of our four different bikes. He was interesting to talk to and I appreciated the care he took with each of our bikes. I will be highly recommending him to all my friends needing bike repair and tune-up.

I had a great experience 10/10 would recommend —- I haven’t been able to utilize Eric’s service yet but from the general review, I can conclude his services must be good. I will suggest that he kindly updates the address listed on google maps because the address routes me to a residential apartment and I have come there twice now just as a waste of time. I would also suggest if he could hire someone (or other people) to manage his communications because it sucks to have to wait multiple days to receive a reply back to your text and also be never able to get in touch with him via calling within his working hours. I really want to be a regular customer at Eric’s but it’s very frustrating to be unable to get in contact with him via call or text. I will update my review (to the 5 star i believe he deserves) once he gets back to me and helps me with my bike! :)
Romeo Arahan: Eric was easy to communicate with. He regularly updated his whereabouts and arrived at the expected time of appointment. He did not mind that I was watching while doing the tune-up. In fact, he was amenable to that and started explaining how each part could affect the speed and longevity of my bike. Alex Martin: Leave it up to the wonderful people of Washington DC to complain about “rude” behavior. Maybe like one dude in the back was a douche but at least he was an honest douche. If you appreciate radical honesty then this place is worth a visit. Also Justin new kid training had great insight to give when it came to my curiosity about fixed bikes. Last but not least the owner made absolute sure my bike fit my body size, far more than the competition ever did. Will send people to this location for sure.
Louise Pocock: I’ll preface by saying I’m not a bike head but went to this shop in my neighborhood after moving to DC because I wanted to make biking my primary mode of transport. These guys spent hours listening to what kind of bike I wanted and how I planned to used it and explained all my options and answered all my questions patiently and thoroughly. I not only bought a bike but learned a lot about bikes and how to take care of them. They got me set up with all the practical locks/lights/fenders etc for a very reasonable price. When I wrecked they fixed it right away and for free (no replacement part needed, just my fenders reattached). I have been back several times for other little things and they always help me right away and keep me riding. I love my bike shop!
Mike Carr: Many bike shops are plagued with pretentious staff. This is NOT the case at Bicycle Space. The employees are all super friendly and helpful. As an added bonus their location in Ivy City is easy to get to from most parts of DC and there is almost always easy parking right out front. This shop also sponsors many fun bicycle events in the area, such as the Saturday Cupcake Ramble lead by Lionel!

Ryan Hamilton: Absolutely excellent! My hybrid bike gearing got wrecked in a windstorm, so I needed a new rear derailleur, shifter, chain installation and all-around tune-up. After taking the bike to another mechanic in town who did a shoddy repair, I reached out to Omar, based on a recommendation from a good friend and mountain biking enthusiast. I ordered a few replacement parts on Amazon and scheduled service through the Nomad Bicycle Works website. Omar was super reliable, professional, friendly, trustworthy, and supportive and had a great passion for bikes. And very convenient. He came early to the job and got the entire job done while I drank my morning coffee. I was back up and rolling in about an hour, all before my morning meetings at work. When the job was done, Omar suggested I take a test ride and to push every gear of the bike pretty hard, just to test things out. The thing rode perfectly, even better than when the bike was originally built, and the gearing was flawlessly dialed-in. He also gave good recommendations for other upgrades and services I might consider in the future. I was so satisfied with the service, I gave him a tip. I look forward to getting ALL of my bikes serviced by this guy.

Mike Jones: Long time quality shop in DC, been going there since 1996 when I was a bike messenger and racer. Stopped in today to get some new cleats, and grabbed some energy gels, new gloves, and got a great deal on some aero water bottles from the manager Garrett. Humberto Murati: Last Saturday stopped by the shop to get the front tyre fixed. After a couple of miles the front tubeless Schwalbe had a pinched. Job was done perfectly. Alan Raeder: I stopped in the shop this past summer needing a specific chain tensioner for my single speed and Dave went above a beyond to get me set up with one. I was taking a rest day in the middle of a bike tour and working on fixing a few things on my bike. I visited/called more than 8 shops with no luck. I met Dave at Bicycle Pro Shop and after learning the shop did not have the part, he mentioned he had a used one at home. Later that evening, Dave met up with me and I got the part I needed to keep going the next day as planned. Really helpful and appreciated!

fgjewett: Best shop in the DC area, I bought a road bike and had such a good experience that I bought a mountain bike there too. The staff are easygoing and knowledgeable; they are a great shop for the mid-to-High end merchandise. They’re not snobby or elitist like other high end places can be. Every purchase comes with a free fitting, which is a $100 value. They also provided free adjustments for a year which was great.

dholmblad: Cannot recommend Bike Club enough. Had the derailleur hanger bend on a very sentimental 1990s carbon specialized. The owner was able to work his magic, replaced the derailleur and fixed the hanger. Before I walked out he made sure the shifting was smooth and dialed in. Thanks!
Chuck Baier: Bike Club is a one of a kind bike shop! It is a one man shop and you need to approach Phuoc, the owner, at the right time and in the right way to get positive results. If you rush in, start rapidly firing off questions, and making demands, Phuoc is likely to dismiss you and recommend you look elsewhere for needs, often rudely. However, if you stop in, sit down, and make some friendly small talk, then he will dig what you need out of his cavernous shop, fix you up, impart some insightful wisdom to you about human nature, elicit a few belly laughs, and get you back on your way. You will then have a friend who will remember you even when you come back 3 years later, as he did with me. If you’re bringing your bike in for service, the question is not whether Phuoc can fix it but if he wants to fix it. Therefore, don’t start off by telling him your opinion of the problem or how to fix it. God forbid, don’t start by arguing over 5 bucks based on your latest Google or Amazon search. Instead, just set back, ask for a beer while you wait, and let this Master perform his craft. And if you genuinely love bikes, don’t miss the opportunity to take the tour inside. Carefully navigate the pathways through the shop for a trip through the last 50 years of bicycle history. I’ve been in dozens of time and find something new to intrigue me each time. Bike Club is an absolutely unique Falls Church institution and Phuoc is indeed an endangered species. A trip to Bike Club is MUCH more genuine than the overpriced pro shops staffed with hipsters with a different sort of attitude. Good luck!! Pedal Power!!!
Patrick N.: This is an old school bike shop, keep in mind, there is really no “customer service” you get to the shop, state what you want and proceed to either get your bike serviced or purchased. Pham goes out of his way to repair and sell these bikes, as strange as it sounds; he is NOT a salesman and doesn’t value taking too much time for window shoppers because he is a 1 man team mostly. So before you judge this shop like it’s a modernize shop with different department staffing and things like that; keep in consideration he’s doing well every thing he can effectively to run his own store, and he’s been in the business longer than you’ve prob been alive so he can tell a window shopper or someone who’s going to waste time off the bat.

Sam Brecker: I came in for a lifetime warranty claim and it was handled flawlessly. They were super responsive by phone and email. Dropped it, they took a quick look, and corporate responded within a day. Only took about 3 weeks to get the replacement back and team handled all my accoutrement properly and answered all my questions. Trek remains to be a good brand for me!

Spartan8193: Hands down the best bike shop around northern Virginia. They are very knowledgeable about their work. I did a tune-up service on my giant reign and got a rear-wheel rebuilt. They did a great job on everything, the bike feels like new. I like their 60-day period service warranty. I have recommended the shop to all my friends.

I bought a high-end touring bike from Handy Bikes during the pandemic, and was always kept up to date on delivery estimates despite all of the supply-chain issues. I also once brought in another bike in on a weekend to get some fenders installed, and the mechanic stayed an extra hour after closing time to get it done that same day. Top-notch customer service.

Sarah OMalley: Absolutely amazing experience. Laurie was personable, worked with my budget, and got me on the bike of my DREAMS while educating me along the way! I cannot recommend Proteus enough. Recon DMV: Exceptional Service. Laurie was professional and knowledgeable. Family owned business. They had everything I wanted. Also the bike I wanted and set it up for me. I will be going back and highly recommended. I even got a coffee. Most important, reasonable prices. 3/22- I went back a few more times. I even purchased another bike. The customer service is exceptional. After my 1st Trail Ride, I thought I blew the seals on the forks. They checked it out & got me back on the road. Highly recommended
Bethany Gresser: Excellent service! I was greeted immediately and brought me to Duncan to help me get a new red light for the back of my bike. He was very friendly and he worked with despite my not knowing all that much about bikes. He made a recommendation based on what I told him I needed, he showed me a couple different spots where it could be mounted, then he installed it right there. He also answered a couple other questions I had about about bikes that had nothing to do with my purchase. I highly recommend Proteus Bicycles in College Park, MD!

I arrived after a store group ride had finished so a lot of the regulars were out front and it was a friendly community. I live pretty far from the store or it would be my local shop (always have a local shop if you bike).

Michael Brown: As a company, REI should not inflict their political beliefs onto customers. That said, they carry good gear and this particular location is fantastic. Every time I have come here they have exactly what I need. The staff are friendly and helpful and generally knowledgeable. I don’t know who makes REI branded clothes and gear, but they do a good job.
Mike R: I like this store for so many reasons. First: they have excellent customer service. Today I walked in with my bike to get my flat tire fixed. A woman approached me and signed me in. Then a man walked up to me and asked if I would like to him to park my bike. I was appalled by this gesture. Second: This establishment has everything here. I mean like… leave that bike area if you want to. You will be buying anything from energy gel to underwear. Third: conveniently located right beside the metro.

Their work is top notch quality for a much more reasonable price tag than that of dealerships. These guys are among the best of the best and care for your bike as if it were their own.
Tess Canino: Crossroads was friendly and kind when I broke down. I was able to get a tow there, whereupon they were communicative and clearly know what they are doing with motorcycles. My bike had water in the tank, and they were able to clean everything out without taking apart all 4 carbs -- saving me a good deal of money. My bike runs great, they saved me from an expensive repair, and were totally friendly and kind. Will be my go-to shop from now on.

Note, our child was under 14, and so we got a two-seater Tandem, and we had no problems at all.

Christopher Johnson: I had my Harley Davidson towed to this facility, the service was great, Hondo is the man! The entire staff seemed to really care about the customer. I picked the bike up on a Tuesday, and took it on a road trip the following morning.....I made it about 650 miles and had another issue with my bike, I spoke with Both Harley dealerships, Fort Washington, and the Harley dealership I had to have it towed to. When I spoke to the service manager Chris, He was very apologetic, told me that I was not to worry, he was sorry that it happened, and that he would handle it. I received a follow up call from the GM, and he informed me that it has been handled. Thank you again for for everything.

Haden Wirick: Took my 2017 CBR 500R here for a chain adjustment, service was pretty quick and on top of that they removed the Freeplay in my throttle cable so it has less movement before engaging the throttle. cleaned, lubed and adjusted the chain for only 15.75$. (the dealer wanted to charge 36.80$) I was also informed that i will need a new chain and sprockets in the near future because they are worn and they helped me find and reccomended parts. Not only was the paid service provided but they went the extra mile to make sure my bike was in better shape than when it came in and i am definitely beyond satisfied with the service.
Alex Hand: Fantastic motorcycle shop! Was informed every step of the way how my bikes repairs were going, they were professional and courteous throughout the repair process. Definetely a store that sets the bar high for others. 10/10 Would reccomend!

Maritza Cooper: Always a pleasure to visit this location. The store is always clean and organized. You usually get greeted as you walk in the door. The associates are always helpful and pretty knowledgeable. They will go out of their way to help! Well stocked too! Bought a fitness trampoline to keep a 7 yr old from going stir crazy in an apartment during these NO School days! Hope it works! It was Waaay up high. Had 3 different associates make sure I got what needed. All while helping other customers.
