Banana Republic: what do users think?

Jenny O’Neil: The store itself has a small selection. My review is mostly about the unfriendly and i knowledgeable staff. I visited today 12/6 at noon. I went to this store knowing that banana was having a sale 40% off everything and an additional 20% off for card holders. That’s a good deal. First, I asked someone where the petite sizes were, they told me they didn’t carry petite in store. That was a lie because I saw a few petite sizes particular the blazer I bought. My next issue and pet peeve when shopping is when the store employees wants to deny you on discounts. Before purchasing my blazer I wanted to confirm the additional 20%. The cashier said no sorry we’re not doing that. Another lie. I had to search the website, pull up the details and even then they told me it was just online after I showed them the fine print that said IN STORE AND ONLINE FOR IN STORE USE CODE BRCODE! Finally, they said they would “just give it to me” except when I looked at the receipt, the code worked and it marked the 20% off. Stop making us beg for the discounts that we’re entitled to.

Marla holland: Great deals ,the staff is amazing willing to help you find whatever you need..and did I mention plenty of deals

Ele Palazzolo: I love this shop! Their sizes are accurate. I have been in Banana Republic in Berlin and London and they are all the same everywhere. You kind of know what to expect and is always right. The staff is also helpful and dedicated.

Titaness Themis: Been there a few times...usually not the most pleasant experience...the worst one was yesterday when I went in to buy two dresses and I asked about military discount. The cashier said that it usually does not work with the extra 40% off promo, but she would try. She entered it manually and I got the military discount on one dress and not the other. When I asked why that was, she gave me at least 4-5 versions as to why, which neither made sense. The discount applies to the whole purchase and not to an individual item according to her, so any further explanation is useless. I had to ask for a manager to step in because the girl just did not what she was talking about it. The manager was very courteous and gave me the discount on the other dress as well. She further explained to me that military discount does not apply to the extra 40% promo, but she did it for me anyway. I appreciated it that. In the future, it is best to say flat out it does not apply and not do it.

Joseph Raczynski: L shaped store which has more female stock than male. Everything was very well ordered. Always feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @joerazz

Mar Would: Staff was great, dressing room are open, sales are amazing.

Banana Republic: what do users think?

Matthew Dutko: We came in on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Kevin helped us pick out a whole new wardrobe for a trip I was taking the next day. Kevin was so helpful, he had an awesome attitude and was a pleasure to be around. He even gave me some gear advice for my upcoming trip. We will definitely be coming back to see him

Cierra Champion: The staff were extremely friendly and the store was super clean and well stocked. Lots of sale and clearance items which I love. It was a decent selection a little less than I’ve seen from other BP’s but nonetheless still great.

Josephine Bunton: Very familiar with Banana Republic stores, as well as retail. Store itself is very bright, clean and has a decent selection. However, if you ever have the privilege of interacting with one of the male managers (short, pride easily wounded, defensive over sign placement, and generally does not respond well to questions), then you are in luck. Definitely not representative of customer service and the tailored brand that BR stands for. Hope this helps my fellow shoppers!

Vishal Sinha: This Banana Republic location has a good selection of clothes to choose from, especially for the wife. Men selection is decent too. Be prepared to climb stairs of use elevator since this is a multi-level store being that it sits in the heart of Georgetown! Staff is friendly and helpful too. Lines can be long to try on clothes.

Thomas Kelly: This year they had beautiful things. I cant say I am one of the regulars at BR, but this year I am getting there. Good store and employees really trying to help.

Banana Republic: what do users think?

M Sanchez: This store was robbed mid December 2020 and as the thieves were making a run for it loaded with merchandise, an employee grabbed onto one of the sweaters that they were stealing and the thief turned around and punched her right in the face! I can see anyone acting on impulse trying to stop something bad from happening (any decent human being) that you do not stop to think of the consequences or whatever you were supposed to be told to not to do… The worst part of all of this is that I also heard that the employee after being punched in the face, was FIRED! How heartless can an employer be to fire someone who was fighting to protect your stuff? And you do it 2 weeks before Christmas and during a Pandemic! When you should have recognized/compensated the level of loyalty/balls your employee just showed you! If a large corporation will not stand by its employees, I will not be shopping there ever again… facts can be verified!!

Juan Carlos Huaylla: Great little store. I do feel bad for the workers as they have to put up with some snobs from Chevy Chase. I was getting help while someone else kept interrupting. They wanted all the attention. I had to tell the customer to back of as I was getting help first. So 5 🌟 to this Banana for being patient with some of these entitled folks

Jason Anthony Hobbs: I have shopped at BR for over 25 years. At every store (NYC, SF, Miami, Orlando, Northern Virginia, etc, etc.) I have always been impressed with BR’s customer service experience. Today was the exception that broke that general rule. It appeared that the staff didn’t get along and that was transferred to the customers (at least me and my wife). It took three different people to find a pair of pants (it was in storage but only one person actually went to look). No one at anytime asked if I needed assistance in the dressing room. No one said hello or good afternoon (small things that are important). The saving grace was the final person that checked me out who put in a bit of extra effort to find out if I found everything that I was looking for. I will definitely just shop at the Georgetown, Pentagon City or 13th Street stores from here on out.

Venus Miranda: Five stars off the bat for the wonderful customer service that was given to me. I came in returning a item and the woman at the register was so helpful and very kind. She even suggested a competitor ( Bloomingdales) to me for stockings BR did not carry.

Julia Shin: I used the online reservation service for the coat I wanted. The staffs were nice and I was able to pick up what I wanted on time. They validate the parking ticket only if you parked at the parking garage that is located under the same building. The entrance to that parking is in between the tall building and Banana Republic. The store itself was smaller than the one in Westfield mall, but clean.

Dennis Cruz: Luxurious style at decent price!Clothes last long enough and the material is highly comfortable.Try it! #ItsBanana

J. Salazar: Very helpful staff here and well organized store.

Sandy Sokoloski: Very bad customer service, despite there being plenty of staff for the number of customers.

Banana Republic: what do users think?

A'elaf Yonas: Was trying to return an item that did not fit and showed up to the store at 6:40pm and they were closed. The store states that it does not close till 7:00pm. I understand that it’s a pain to have last minute customers but we all work for a living and can only make it at certain times. Come on…

Cassondra Helm: Bought two pairs of pants here last week for my vacation, and spent around $250. Now, on vacation and wore the dark brown cords for the first time only to find there is a HOLE where the security sensor was taken off! That’s so not cool! I’m totally upset, that’s a lot of money!

Craig De Columbian: Everything was in its place ...the prices were reasonable and the staff was awesome!

A Mac: Big store, awesome collections, perfect quality. Thanks for a good service

Kecia Whitehead: Great clothes for the price. The customer service is great. Love shopping BR style of clothes. However I hate being asked by several sales associate to open a BR charge account. They continue to press even when they are told I have a BR charge account.

Sharon: Not a wide selection. Could not find my size throughout store. Prices have gone up tremendously.

Michael: The quest customer service I’ve ever experienced by a manager! Avoid this store!

Banana Republic Factory Store: what do users think?

Milan Kužnik: Once more very good store with interesting asortiment for kids, men and women. The prices look likes very popular.

Amy Stein: The prices seem awfully steep for a factory store. You can do better at the regular store when they are having a sale.

bardia khoshroo: Good quality with great price products but the discounts are not as advertised

Lauren Warner: Store tends to be a little messy as the people who come through leave things everywhere and the staff seems to constantly be playing catch up to get things put away properly. Dressing rooms are decent and the line usually moves pretty quickly. Not bad for an outlet store.

Alexander: I love this brand. Some stores keep last calls all year long. Customer service is good and the shop is tidy and chic. Prices are above average though, even for items on sale. It is pricey but sale are crazy. Great location and accessible by subway. You will always find a little something here.

Cassandra: Tanger directory says that they are open. I get there and they are not open. There are several signs on the Banana Republic door stating that they are closed. Then another sign on the Same door that states that they are open daily from 11-7?! This doesn’t make sense at all. To save your potential customers the hassle, just update those stays online to closed!
