Capitol Square BNB: what do users think?

ᄀᄌᄋ: I do not really understand why only three reviews were here so far. This is just an amazing place. Very close from downtown and convenient transportation, at the same time very quiet outside unlike the hotels in the downtown since it is just at the midst of normal residence. Very close to a nice market closing at 12 a.m. We can use the refrigerator and cook, the dish washer. Very clean and everything is kept perfectly. The quiet rule is very nice at night. The free breakfast is not just a toast but includes some bakeries made by the bussiness owner who might be in the age of moms of teenagers. Pretty friendly environment and privacy is respected. If I have chance to visit D.C. again, I will definitely come here again. With half price of hostels in downtown, I can enjoy much more things than there.

Beauti Dreamer: a really great place to stay while in dc, everything is minutes away from downtown. the place is always spic and span. I really felt comfortable in this place, they give complimentary breakfast every morning and the linens are always clean, you meet great people here and the rooms are a great size comes with your own bathroom, and coded doors. so my things are secure with or without the coded door this place is so quiet that it feels like my home away from home, great customer service. whenever i come to dc i will always come here.

aidan lang: While i dont mind staying in hostel type rooms this place is in a unsafe neighborhood and should not be a place to stay for those who are driving. Great breakfast though.

Tiffany Manchester: Wonderful host, room, dining, and company. Everything is always perfectly clean and if you ever need help or directions it is one question away.

abu jameel: Who can give me the postal code for this hostel? I really need it.

Greta R: Pros: convenient location, breakfast, cheapCons: cleanliness

Capitol Hill Stay - Veteran Owned Furnished Housing Temporary Extended Stay Washington DC Since 1997: what do users think?

Katie Wilkes: I stayed here for a month while house hunting. Fabulous, convenient location to everything you need. One of the best parts about the house is the private little courtyard/patio space out front. Stunning in the springtime. Capitol Hill Stay was attentive and extremely communicative the entire time. The neighbors were also so kind and helpful. But I have to say, it was the sincere thoughtfulness of the people who run this hospitality group that exceeded my expectations. Tragically, I lose my pup of 16 year unexpectedly while here (we were grateful to enjoy many days of gorgeous weather on that patio together). Upon check out and kind conversation with Phil, one of the staff members, the team let me know they had made a donation to a rescue organization in my pup’s honor. It brought me to tears. Stay with them if you can- I don’t think you’ll regret it.
Response: Thank you for the kind review Katie. We were very sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved dog but it makes us happy to know you enjoyed some time together there on the patio. Thank you again for staying with Capitol Hill Stay. Your stay (and others) are what helps us stay in business, pay our staff, cleaners, landscapers, etc, so on behalf of everyone we thank you very much.

Zach Powell: My wife and I have never been to a big city before. Coming from a small town in Kentucky, we were worried about coming to D.C. However, the owner (Brian) and Louise has been absolutely wonderful! The apartment was in a very safe and very upscale neighborhood. We were able to pay for a secure parking spot as well. Our neighbors were quiet and working professionals (always gone). If there were any questions, someone always answered them promptly via chat or text! I cannot reccomend Capitol Hill stay enough! If we are ever in DC again, we will be staying with them!
Response: Thanks Zach. It was a pleasure having you. We get a lot of people in from small towns and many later tell us Capitol Hill feels very much like a village within the big city, so it's kindof the best of both worlds.

Leslie Vargas: My friend and I came to Washington DC for a girls trip to visit her daughter and my son, who is a student there. We loved the apartment from the first second we stepped into as it instantly felt like a home away from home. It is beautiful and well furnished with high ceilings and tall windows. The apartment is immaculate and every detail is attended to, including a coffee pot that makes delicious coffee and quality linens that are so comfortable after a long day of seeing the sites. It is located in a safe neighborhood and is a nice walk to The Eastern Market, independently owned boutiques, restaurants, a CVS and a wine shop. The apartment is so inviting that we decided to cook there one night and it was so convenient that the The Eastern Market is full of lovely fresh vegetables, fresh meats and a bakery. Outside the market were street vendors with quality goods to sell which was so fun to browse. I have found that where you stay can make such a difference in the tone of a vacation and this one certainly did. It was a such a wonderful time and I’m looking so forward to visiting DC with my husband and staying there again.

leo sokolskiy: Great place to stay in Washington. Walking distance to the National Mall monuments and museums. Very comfortable and quiet location, parking spot is a great plus if you are driving in. Kitchen has all the utensils as well as washer and dryer. Brian and Luis are very accommodating and responsive.
Response: Thank you Leo. It was a pleasure having you. Please look us up again when you need furnished housing in DC

Charles Prescott: This was the most spectacular vacation in a very long time. The host was a total knowledge base for all things cannabis in the DC area. This is more than just a Bud and Breakfast. This is the experience of a lifetime. Definitely headed back as soon as possible!

Janet Roby: Wow! Wonderful host. Great location. An immersive 420 experience.

CRYSTAL THORNTON: We really like this place they already had Bud here when we arrived..... Room was nice and quiet.... The living room space is shared though..... But the room has everything you need snacks drinks bathrooms clean definitely a place I would come back to. So happy that we came and stayed here.....

Iyah William: Bud and Breakfast was amazing. My wife and arrived to a sweet house in the hipster part of town. There was a full bud bar for us to enjoy multiple flavors and even had a CBD infused massage. Our host knew of all the 420 related events happening in the area and we had the best time possible. Cant wait to return. Highly recommend!

Ty Stansberry: Very nice spot to rest your head and stay for a few days. The hostess was great and accommodating.

Catlin Barron: The host is very nice and helpful. House is spacious.

John Molchin: Everything was as promised!

Kris Norman: You gotta check this place out!

William Hanff: Very mello.

DuPont Place Boutique Inn: what do users think?

Maria Juncadella: I made reservations for 3 rooms over three months ago to go to Washington for my nieces graduation since I know it is a busy time and hotels get booked quickly. Yesterday I received a notice of cancellation for no reason for all 3 rooms and have been calling the hotel ever sense. I have left several messages as well as written emails to them for an explanation and nobody has had the decency to show face and give me one. As you can imagine this is extremely frustrating for us as well as the other members of our family since now, most hotels are booked. SO IF YOU WANT TO MAKE SURE YOUR VACATION PLANS STAY ON TRACK, DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. THEY SEEM TO NOT ONLY BE IRRESPONSIBLE BUT HAVE THE WORST SERVICE EVER.

T Plez: Lovely neighborhood, clean apartment, comfortable bed, our 8 yr old slept comfortably on the sofabed, helpful staff. The noise from outside disturbed me a couple of times, otherwise a perfect stay. Wish I could rate it 4.75 stars.

bridgeport stonewerks: stayed for 2 nights as a stop on a trip down south. pics looked good, host was pleasant and easy to contact. the troubling items came upon initial inspection of the room, where we noticed dust on several surfaces that we would expect to be clean, such as shelving above sink, top of fan blades, and the air vent in bathroom. the big discovery was the used condom/wrapper we found under the bed. while we did stay in the room as planned, we couldnt trust that the room was properly cleaned/sanitized prior to our visit. sandals in the shower, sleeping above sheets with some type of clothing on. im under no misconception about staying in a hotel, and think i have resonable expectations, but this experience, for me, was subpar.

Maciej [mah-check] Kos: Good location and service. My room was OK but not great. Close proximity to a loud street makes it hard to sleep at times. Overall, pretty good value for the price.

Marcelo Pereira: Corteous staff, very nice and clean rooms.4 stars because if you stay in the ground floor, it is a bit noisy because of guests coming in and out and the close by street. Also, the breakfast is just ok.

S L: Great location. Recently renovated rooms with small kitchenette. Very clean and well maintained.

Logan Hurd: Great place to stay with clean and modern interior. Easy access to room and great location.

Oakwood Suites & Studios Dupont Circle Washington DC: what do users think?

Fredric Mitchell: Nice place. Went to a small wedding, which was intimate. Stayed in a suite in the courtyard. It was relatively quiet. Bed and pillows were not very comfortable. Continental breakfast was fine. Nothing too expansive. Location is nice and a lot of shops and food places around. Just would have preferred a more comfortable sleeping situation.

David Jarnitskii: Great check in, the guy at the front was super nice and gave us reccomendations. Location is good too. The rooms are quite spacious and very comfortable. We only stayed for 1 night but it was very nice. We would come back. Thanks!

Sivan Weizmann: Good check in, and the guy at the tiny reception desk was nice. Location is great and there is plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and attractions in a walking distance. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. And the building is beautiful. However, one big issue is that this is a 3 floor building and the reception is often unattended which makes me uncomfortable since anyone can come in as they please. In addition, if you are hoping to get a good night sleep than forget about it because except for the noise you get from DuPont circle, it also felt like we were sleeping in a dorm building. There were loud yelling and laughter noises ALL night long that kept us awake, and clearly can be heard EVERYWHERE throughout only 3 floors with the acoustic of an old building and no staff to address it. It is a shame, but unless some new reviews can indicate that 24/7 staff has been instated and availability and presence has improved, this will not be a place I’ll be coming back to.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of.

Gabriel Rodriguez: While the facilities are gorgeous, and the location was spectacular, the service is lackluster. The continental breakfast consisted of a few pastries and cereal with some yogurt in the fridge. The front desk is frequently unattended, which is concerning. Moreover, I was asked “when are you going to check out” an hour before checkout by an attendant or manager who decided to knock on my door. In the rush, I left my coat, and called to retrieve it. The front desk said “check back tomorrow” and “good luck, I hope it’s there” when I said that I was instead going to check this evening. The service does not match the façade nor interior decor.

Aránzazu Ascunce: Cion greeted us warmly upon arrival and as we departed he informed us on the history of the home and ownership. We would love to stay here in the near future!

The Quincy Hotel: what do users think?

Gabriel Slape: What a great value! Unique studio layout has seating area, a place to cook and eat! The kitchen has all needed equipment including a full size coffee pot. Room was super clean and the hotel looked to be in good shape overall. Close to all major attractions. We had no issues with the contactless check in, just setup the app at home before your arrival to avoid last minute headaches. Great to have luggage storage after check out until 10 pm. Laundry facilities on site cost 2.50 to wash and 2.50 to dry, soap provides. I was concerned due to low ratings on other reviews but my experience was A+

Joshua Ritchey: Do not stay here if you value sleep, comfort, or customer service. Worst 3 nights sleep in a long time. Traffic sounds high, dumpster collection seemingly every hour, and sidewalk JACKHAMMERING right below the window all night long. This hotel is also completely internet controlled. You’ll check in and out through an app and never once see a human. Sounds novel until the AC doesn’t work and you have to get rudimentary instructions in a chat on how to open the panel to turn it in, AFTER the previous agent ghosted you twice. Amenities overall were fine, bed soft and kitchen was nice. Bathroom is rather small.

fortune ee: To start, the rating here is much higher due to Sonder keeping the ratings from the original hotel, The Quincy. Not sure exactly when they took this building over but Sonder was founded 2014, no reason why they should keep ratings from 2008, kinda shady. The impression given by the photos did not match the quality of the room, the lobby, and common areas. The heater was on in the lobby on a warm day (low 70F), so we had to wait at a nearby shop for check in. When we checked in, we found that the bathroom had not been properly cleaned, with dust, hair, and mildew around the sink and toilet areas. We placed a request to have them cleaned that evening, but nobody came. Later that night, we realized a light was burnt out and the A/C in the room was only blowing hot air (on a warm day), and placed another request for the cleaning, light bulb replacement, and A/C to be looked over the next morning any time from 8am to 10am, which was a time offered to us by a Sonder representative (that night sleeping with our window open - which only opened about 2 inches - and very warm). Worst of all we could hear EVERYTHING from the room next door, due to the large gaps in the door. By 11am the next morning, we realized nobody had come again. By this time we had spoken with several representatives, but due to the interface of the app, there was no saved record of the chat conversations, and it would continually disconnect due to “connectivity issues” or because “something went wrong” whenever we were trying to place a request. Only one representative reached out via text to continue the conversation… Due to the interface as well, there is no record of the conversations that we were able to search, and we also were not able to back out and check other information without closing the conversation. Sometimes the new representative would go back and check our past records, and sometimes they would not, each time offering different resolutions, if any at all. By the next night, we decided to cut our losses and try to switch to a different hotel. We began asking to simply refund the rest of our stay, not even asking for a refund of the previous nights, and we could be on our way to a new hotel. This required several representatives to respond that they would “speak with management” and “call us back shortly”, only one of which actually did - but could not get a hold of management. Finally, after many disconnections and promises to call us back, one representative said it was no problem. They could refund the rest of our stay, we could check out at 11 the next day, and they were sorry for our experience. Unfortunately, their system connected us to two representatives at the same time, and as that representative was finally understanding of proper business etiquette, the other refused to allow us the refund. When we took a screenshot of the texts and sent them in the chat, the representative who allowed us the refund seemed to have been kicked off the chat, and we were back to square one. We ended up so dissatisfied with the experience, one which cost us almost an entire day of our short vacation, that we decided to move to a new hotel entirely just down the street (Yours Truly), without a refund. The experience was x1000 better, as we were immediately greeted with a friendly concierge, our A/C worked, and the photos matched the experience. For only slightly more the cost. We hope to never have to experience something like that again for the price we paid. The idea behind Sonder is interesting. The entire experience is through an app, which could make for an interesting experience. However, the implementation of the concept was poorly executed. I think we only saw one employee in the 3 days we were there. The lack of concierge should, in theory, provide more funds for a great experience.

Floriana Castro: I stayed at Sonder - The Quincy - Downtown DC. It is cute, the location is convenient, and the place felt safe. I really wanted to like this place, but I will not be staying there again. First of all, my sheets had blood stains. At the very least, house keeping could have shifted the sheets to were the stains would’ve been at the foot of the bed so it would have gone unnoticed, but no it was over by were I lay my head. I don’t understand the thought process behind it because it is very obvious and disgusting. Two, the bathroom clearly was not deep cleaned because there was hair of previous clients on all three walls of the shower. 100% was not mine as they were there before I even showered. This place is also flawed because they don’t have a front desk. If you have issues you have to contact a representative through the mobile app. Which is frustrating because you get a new one each time, its robotic, and if the WiFi/connection cuts out you have to start the conversation all over again. I tried to report the blood stain issue, but the app wouldn’t let me submit the report/upload a photo and it would have been $50+ to REQUEST A CLEANING. On top of that, while I was there they were having plumbing issues. They said hot water would be shut off until 2:30pm, no problem, whatever… until it was 5:30pm and hot water still wasn’t on and not one curtesy update notifying us that it would be shut off even longer. There were a few other problems, but these were the main ones for me. Will not be returning.

3: Warning! Temperature is controlled by the building! During certain months the room unit only cools or heats. Our stay was in April and the unit would only cool. It was cold in our room so we requested (using the Sonder app chat function) a space heater and an extra blanket, which was brought to the room. However, later when we requested creamer for coffee, we were informed we only get 1 room request per visit. They told us how to get to an essentials closet on the 4th floor, so we went and got it ourselves. The drip coffee maker was broken, but we still managed to make it work. Didn’t tell them about it because we only get 1 request per visit, so I figured they can find out about it later the hard way. For this reason they should handle problems differently! I gave the place 3 stars because everything else was good. Location was amazing, good layout of the room, included fridge, dishwasher, cups, plates, sponge and dish soap, even olive oil salt pepper and measuring spoons to cook with. We didn’t eat in the room though because so many restaurants surround the Sonder hotel (yes it says Quincy, but the outside is covered in Sonder banners). Bed was a Queen, was comfy, and the linens were clean. Note! We got lucky because it was cold and the space heater was available. If the room would have been hot, with no way to cool it we would have been screwed! I would not stay here again.

Bill Gluck: This Sonder facility is comparable to a two star hotel at best. Poor room layout. Sparse, cheap furnishings. Uncomfortable bed. Dirty floors throughout unit. Incredibly, bed listed as a queen is a double by measurement and Sonder both agreed and disagreed, depending on chat session! Toilet paper draws blood. Bluetooth key and customer service via Sonder app were ineffectual at all four Sonder locations we have patronized.

Generator Washington DC: what do users think?

Yidan Zheng: Stayed there for three nights and it’s really good!! The staff are so nice and friendly. They allow free late check out at 12pm. And the lobby is so comfortable. They have pool and gym and they also offer bike rental for only $14 for a day! The location is good with the bus stations. The only thing is the king bed is actually two twin sizes beds but I am okay with this! Thank you for providing such a good place to stay!!!
Response: Hi, Thank you so much for the great review!! We are so happy to see that you enjoyed time here with us!

Jasmine: Not a hostel for socializing, but it is very elegant, clean, and innovative! Hands down one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s basically a hotel with bunk beds. The shower and toilet was in the room and is set up exactly the same as a hotel. Bunk beds have a light, charger ports and cute little framed pictures of US presidents. Sheets and pillows were extremely comfy. Bikes available for rental. Cafe on-site that closes at 2. Great place to stay!!
Response: Hi Jasmine, Thank you very much for the review! We are happy to see that you enjoyed our dorm rooms!!

Ras Sammiedread - DJ Morefire: Was in DC for a business trip with my wife and have to stay the night and finish up next day. Booked the Deluxe King Suite online and check in was smooth with Brittany at the front desk. Room and bath was very clean. Garage parking was a real test for my maneuverability skill and thought was a little expenses($40) for garage fees. We really loved our stay and peace of mind regardless. Will definitely again for sure.
Response: Hi, Thank you soo much for the great review! We are happy to see that Brittany made your check in smooth and that ypu enjoyed your stay here with us. We hope to see you again!!

Chelsey Birgisdóttir: TL;DR I would only stay here as a last resort. I would not recommend this hostel. Positives: +Great location near DuPont Circle. +Allan the manager is great and super responsive. Some of the other front desk staff were hospitable and respectful. +It’s clean! Negatives: -The beds are super uncomfortable. I think the mattresses are SUPER old. They sink in the middle. The sheets do not fit the bed and keep coming off during the night. - There is one INCREDIBLY rude and disrespectful receptionist. She was the one working when I checked in at 7am on 4/28/2022. Not only was she very unhelpful, she was having an attitude with me. She cut me off when I was speaking. She was being short with me as well. Fortunately the issue with my reservation was resolved (once I contacted Allan) but honestly my interaction with her tainted my whole stay there. I felt extremely uncomfortable approaching the front desk whenever she was working there and would wait till the afternoon staff was in to ask for anything.
Response: .

Eric Sullivan: It was a pretty 2 star experience. While checking in, we were told our room was not yet ready for another 30-45 minutes. Understandable. After sinking deep into the middle of the "deluxe king," I realized it was two twin beds strapped together. Parking was good. Good location.
Response: Eric, I am sorry to read that you were not totally satisfied with your accommodations. Thank you for your positive reflection regarding our parking facility and location. We hope you will consider another stay with us in the future.

Daniel Liestman: We thought the price was right and it was. But I recall a lot of nickel and dining with added fees. The parking garage system for both entering and exiting is a challenge and the parking spots are impossibly tight. Once you have parked, good luck wending your way back up. The amenities were slim to none. The room was small, but we loved how it was decorated—anything but typical!
Response: Hi Daniel, thank you so much for the review. We are sorry about the parking. We do hope that you will give us another try one day.

WhyHotel by Placemakr, Union Market, Washington, DC: what do users think?

Bill Holler: This very modern Apartmenthouse is for me the right place. You have a complete apartment with everything you need for a short or even long stay. The whole place works fully digital. Once you have installed the App and activated your stay, you are ready to enter everything you need. The doors will unlock automatically once you are close, the same goes for the elevator or the parking garage. The equipment in the room is top notch. As fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer, even an extra dressing room, what else can you ask for? Oh yes, of course what about a balcony? But this is also there. Pricing is excellent compared with hotels in that area, only 15 minutes from the Capitol.
Response: Dear Bill, On behalf of the WhyHotel by Placemakr, Union Market, Washington, DC team, thank you for staying with us and for your review! We're elated that our convenient location, excellent value, and well-equipped accommodations were all highlights of your visit. We hope to welcome you back the next time you're in the area!

Lucy Yao: Great location, amenities and space. Looks clean upon first glance, but after a couple hrs walking around, all our socks and feet were filthy. Not for families with young kids or anyone planning to remove their shoes at some point. It’s a shame, as I really like a lot of features about this place and would still recommend for adults who aren’t going to be bothered by dirty floors. For $450/nt, I expected not to have to be down on my knees Lysol wiping when first arriving at my hotel.
Response: Dear Lucy, Thank you for your recent feedback regarding your stay with us. It's nice to know our location was convenient. However, we apologize sincerely for letting you down when it comes to cleanliness. Our housekeeping team will ensure that rooms are thoroughly cleaned before occupancy. Having said that, it's nice to know you enjoyed our amenities. We welcome your comments and would appreciate another opportunity to deliver the excellent value you deserve.

Tondi Bailey: Highly recommend staying here for any trip. It is the perfect mix between an airbnb with hotel amenities. Easy check-in/check-out. The room was very clean and staff was super helpful. We did experience trouble with access to our room via the app, but it was resolved by staff quickly. 10/10 experience.
Response: Dear Tondi, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your comments with us. We're delighted to know that you appreciated our easy check-in experience, clean accommodations, and friendly staff members. Happy travels to you, and we hope to see you again soon!

INSECURITIES: Stayed in the one bedroom apartment, which was very nice and clean. However, I wish I could say the same about management they were very rude and unprofessional. Me and my girlfriend stayed here for her birthday weekend and we actually enjoyed the stay so much we decided to extend it. The lady at the front desk Nataya provided us with inaccurate information in regards to the check out times and amount. An associate from the hotel barged into our room and did not give us enough time to respond. I felt as if our privacy was invaded. She advised us that we were supposed to be checked out and after explaining the situation the associate continued to talk over us being very rude and our access to the unit was restricted. We spoke with someone at the front desk and tried to rectify the situation and instead of communicating appropriately we were continuously talked over and interrupted and no one took accountability for the associate providing inaccurate information. We were then kicked out of the hotel completely having to be escorted to just get our things out of the unit and was lied on saying that we got into a fight with one of the managers even though it was the manager being rude. Very unpleasant and traumatizing experience. Poor customer service.
Response: Thank you for sharing feedback about your recent experience at our hotel. While we are glad you found our accommodations clean and pleasant, we are very sorry to hear about the encounters you had with our staff, and we will certainly research the issue. Your comments are important to us, and we will use them as we continually work to improve our service. We wish you safe travels in the future.

EIANKA ANICETTE: The location is definitely up an coming. It reminded me of downtown Brooklyn (Dumbo) during the building of the new constructs. I give it about 3 to 5 years and that area will be a sight for sore eyes. Over all the staff were very helpful especially when it came to accessing the room key. It seemed a bit tricky but honestly after being shown what to do it became very easy to navigate/access the building. The only thing I would suggests is getting a thicker mattress or a much more stable platform. While we were sleeping the head area kept sinking and the pillows went through. Will definitely return.
Response: Dear Eianka, Thank you for choosing to be our guest at WhyHotel Washington DC Union Market. We're happy to hear you appreciated our up-and-coming location and friendly service. Your suggestions for improvement have been duly noted. We can't wait for your next visit!

Hostel Comfort Zone DC: what do users think?

Kevin Levesque: Not a bad place for the money. The bed was comfortable. They have 2 parking spaces that can be reserved. On street parking is free and plentiful. Depending on where you park you may need to move your car. The Bennett Rd. parking spaces become a travel lane during the evening commute. There is 1 male/female bathroom on the 2nd floor. Sometimes the line is 3 people deep. Women have the option to use the female only bathroom on the first floor. A bus stop and a free trolley are about a 1 minute walk from the hostel. Breakfast was corn flakes and milk. The staff and guests were friendly.

samson seyoum: We made a quite long road trip with my whole family of six.... my twin boys and the girls love the accessibility to the numerous play grounds near to our stay, while my wife were obsessed with the customer service, cleanliness and comfort of the bed ... it was such an outstanding experience for tourists like us who wants to explore most of the city since we were in a walking distance to public transportation... definitely a coming back customer here ... love the manager ; who gave complimentary teddy bear to my kids... Thanks you !

Ronnie Brown: I do not advise anyone to go there. Everything stinks.

TJ Travis Is Dead: Friendly staff. Perfect low cost spot to stay at while I was waiting to move into my new place. Nice kitchen area. There’s a backyard to smoke in with privacy. The only downside was that there was only one bathroom.

Woundim Demissie: The best hostel I have been and I want people to know that these is a brand new management used to be capitol city hostel so don’t be confused with the reviews which is still on the website. It’s so convenient next to street train and a lot of bars. I will be back.

TH Swiss: Great staff, clean and free breakfast. There is even free public transportation from the hostel to Union Station. The hostel is near to groceries and to the center. I definitely recommend this hostel.

Grand Hyatt Washington: what do users think?

Joshua Russell: The Grand Hyatt is a very large hotel near Chinatown, just a couple blocks from Capital One Arena. They have a covered car pull through if you are arriving by car which is nice in case of bad weather but can get a bit busy as it doesn’t seem anyone really is directing people. Once inside the check in desk is to the left rear of the very large lobby. The front desk staff is very nice and efficient. We were able to get checked in very quickly and able to get to our room with ease. The elevators are at the back of the lobby. There were about 6 elevators so you don’t have to wait long to catch one. The room is very spacious and very comfortable with a very nice sitting chair as well as a desk. We had a king bed and it was very comfortable, though one extra pillow would have been nice as there were three pillows so if there are two people both could have two. The bathroom is nice as well with good shower with perfect amount of water pressure. One thing you will notice is that in the hallways and lobby areas they are pumping a scent through the ventilation system. While I found it very nice others may be turned off by it. Overall it was a good hotel in a great location.

Melissa Marie: Great hotel location and close to major tourist areas and shopping. Room was a little dirty in places, but nothing major. The bathroom mirror still had water spots. Desk was dusty and chair had crumbs in it. The shower head was not adjustable and shoots straight out instead of downward. You may not get told at check in what the amenity fee includes. If you ask, they will give you a paper, so you will know what you are entitled to. There is a Starbucks and restaurant inside the hotel. Hotel serves breakfast for free if you are a high level Hyatt member or you can pay for it. The gift shop offers a variety of items, not just souvenirs. Self parking garage is also connected to hotel. It costs $45/day with no in and out privileges. Valet is $62/day, but does include unlimited in and out. The garage elevator goes straight up to hotel lobby. The Metro station is in basement area of hotel and easily accessible to get to and from hotel. Staff was super friendly.

Nene W.: I spent Christmas night at Grand Hyatt Washington this year. It was my second time with them and I had a wonderful time! The staffs were really nice and helpful. If you like to drink and chill, don’t forget to check out their bar. The room was clean and comfortable. Plus, they also have the best breakfast which is available from 7-10am. I will definitely go back to this hotel more often. It was a great experience!

RITA LIN: We had a wonderful stay. The staff were so polite, nice, respectful, friendly and accommodating. The only concern we had was, wishing the vent in the bathroom would have been stronger. The mirrors would fog up easily during a hot shower even with the door open. Over all though , a very relaxing stay, we will return once we are back in town. Thank you!

Kim Nguyen: The Grand Hyatt is located near Chinatown and it’s extremely convenient for us to get around. We were able to walk everywhere during our stay. The online check-in process was easy and quick. I was able to request for early check-in and got our room by 12pm instead of 3pm. That was definitely a plus in my book. The hotel lobby was really massive and beautifully designed. During our stay, there was a medical conference. It was busier than usual and we had to wait some time for the elevator. Our room is across from the Sax restaurant and lounge, so it was really loud at night. There were a lot of honking, screaming, and car noise. Overall, it was a good stay for us. Oh, they also have a Starbucks right inside the hotel.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Arlington Rosslyn Key Bridge: what do users think?

Krishna Putchakayala: Solid location with nearby grocery/drug store/restaurant options. Near metro, which is direct access to the National Mall and DCA. Free shuttle service which helped with luggage and may be needed for individuals with mobility issues (relatively steep uphill to first traffic light but not a major issue). Nice walkable playground and even car rental. Location made it easier to avoid traffic throughout our stay. Relatively new/clean with nice rooms and complimentary breakfast/happy hour that kept our children engaged and eating. Manager was great, stepping up to lend a hand with everything. Lobby was nice, inviting fireplace and table game.
Response: Thank you so much for staying with us.

Jeanette C. Hicks: Pros: location!!! This is a 8-10 min walk to Rosslyn metro which is ideal for getting into DC easily. The hotel has a shuttle that is helpful. The hotel staff are very kind. Hotel is clean and the rooms very comfortable. There is a nice free snack/drink happy hour on some nights. Cons: I booked two connecting rooms and called twice to confirm. When we were given two rooms, not even next door to each other. The desk clerk did respond appropriately and acknowledged their error but it was frustrating. The breakfast included in the rooms is easily overwhelmed. We tried showing up earlier each morning and encountered hot food had run out, empty coffee urns, and often no more refills on hot items. If you want cereal, toast/bagel breakfast, it is fine. The bar/lounge area closes at 9pm and the water pressure in the shower was a trickle. It all depends what is most important to you in a DC area hotel.
Response: Hi Jeanette C. Hicks - We apologize for the inconveniences you had while you were with us. Could you please contact us at https://help.hilton.com/s/contactsupport or call our team at (703) 348-2828 so we can learn what we could have done differently? Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review.

Aliza Maaghop: Homewood Suites by Hilton Arlington Rosslyn Key Bridge is a great hotel for guests visiting the DC area. It’s far enough to not hear the bustle and noise from all the crowds next to the monuments in National Mall, but it’s still close enough of a drive and next to a lot of shops and restaurants. The check in/check out process is really easy when using and relying on the Hilton Honors app. When my husband and I drove into the parking garage, I was surprised that I could already use the digital key to enter from my phone. I would definitely recommend using the app especially if you don’t want to go to the front desk and go straight to your room and just want easy access to open everything in the hotel. The room was very spacious and clean; the service was also excellent when we had to go to the front desk to ask some questions. My husband and I loved the complimentary breakfast. Their breakfast is from 0600-0900 M-F, and 0700-1000 Sat/Sun and has a variety of foods like scrambled eggs, sausages, diced potatoes, bagels, muffins, and even a waffle maker! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back for our next DC trip.
Response: Thank you so much for staying with us. Really happy you and your husband enjoyed your stay with us. We look forward to serving you soon in the near future. Have a great summer.

Leslie Jones: Once I added parking to our reservation, it was easy to check in ahead, share my digital key with my guest, and get in and out easily. But, our room, 725 was not as clean as we would have liked. The bathroom vent was dirty and the carpet has a major stain. Bed was comfortable and kitchen very usable.
Response: Thank you so much for staying with us.

Courtney Phillips: We had an exceptional experience staying here with our two kids for a trip to DC. The rooms were spotless, water pressure was great, and we came home from touring each day to fresh towels and made beds. The room setup was perfect for our family and allowed us a comfortable experience. We received prompt shuttle service to and from the Metro station which was a lifesaver. If we ever visit DC again, this would be our hotel again for sure!
Response: Thank you so much for staying with us. Truly appreciate your feedback. Looking forward to serving you soon in the future.

Robin Green: We were there for a burial at Arlington. We shared a suite with family and were very happy with the room as well as the staff. Manager, Chris was extremely accommodating. Lobby was great place to gather and dinner was superb. Overall, an immensely positive experience despite the sober occasion.
Response: Thank you so much for staying with us. We truly appreciate your feedback. Looking forward to serving you soon under different circumstances. Thank you.

Miss g: I stayed here almost once a month over the past year and my most recent stay was almost 5 months. Everything was good until my ring along with my grandmothers ring went missing ..after housekeeping cleaned before the holiday .reported to police and gm only for gm to transfer me to insurance.. who said they couldn’t pay out because no proof that anyone broke in or stole. I tipped housekeeping and staff greatly . Hr questioned why i took my rings off to cook and GM did nothing.. downstairs staff were pleasant but the most important thing is my grandmothers 40 year old ring is gone. I will never stay here again.
Response: Thank you so much for staying with us. Please email us @ DCALH_GM@hilton.com. We appreciate your feedback.

AC Hotel by Marriott National Harbor Washington, DC Area: what do users think?

Ashley V: My husband and I recently stayed a night to celebrate our wedding night. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and sanitized but i was extremely shocked by the lack of amenities at this hotel. There was no microwave in the room. There was no room service. No breakfast the next morning. They did not validate parking. I think I was expecting a little more from a hotel of such quality. It was nice for a quick staycation but i probably won’t stay here again.

Crystal Tan: My husband was attending a convention nearby and we booked a 3-night stay at the hotel. The hotel doesn’t really have a big sign outside, like what you might expect. The hotel building looks like any other high rise buildings with restaurants on the ground floor. It’s a good thing that our U er driver is familiar with the area and the hotel. As we entered the glass sliding door, which just looks like a side door and not a hotel entrance, there were 2 elevators and a flight of stairs. The hotel lobby was in fact on the 2nd floor. The hotel is a good hotel to stay in overall. It is clean and bright and modern. Our room was on the 2nd floor as well which we didn’t mind because it was convenient to go the the lobby or the breakfast area in the morning. We have 2 queen beds and our room has a great view of the street and the park. I actually thought it would be a noisy room as it is news the streets, but it wasn’t. The hotel was perfect located amongst shops, restaurants, and the harbor where the huge Ferris Wheel is. The room is pricey though. At $343.28/ night with taxes, there’s no free breakfast, not even free coffee. I heard that it is the cheapest room they have. Breakfast is buffet style for about $13/person. This is not your eggs bacon kind of breakfast. It’s more of pastries, fruits, boiled egg, cereal. slices of meats for a sandwich, coffee, and bottled orange, cranberry, or apple juice. There is nothing special about the bed. My sleep quality is the same as the other good hotels that I’ve checked it (at a better price with free breakfast and/or free coffee at least). There was only 2 complimentary coffee when we arrived, and it had never been replenished after it was consumed. I’m giving this hotel 3 stars for the location. Will I check in here again? probably not. Should you check in this hotel? Yes, because the location is great.

Michelle C.: Stay away from this hotel even though it’s a great location. I was checked in by a male staff and several hours later, the MOD, Leonard called my room to verify my last name and requested me to proceed downstairs with my ID stating that my room wasn’t assigned in the system. Requesting personal info via the phone is a violation of privacy. In addition, verification of ID is supposed to be performed at check-in and not after! In addition, the MOD was very rude and sarcastic when I refused to provide the info as I wasn’t even sure if he was legit. Leonard was very sarcastic during the interaction, which is unacceptable. The encounter could have been handled in a better manner.

Extended Stay America - Washington, D.C. - Springfield: what do users think?

Jaelen Whitfield: Excellent stay and service. The assistant general manager Nyo was very nice and helpful. I checked in with Trudy, nice woman… helpful and patient. Room was clean, didn’t need to ask for much but for more towels. Wish there was a little convenience store and better breakfast. Location is perfect, everything is near by within a 10 minute drive at the most.

Kayleigh Johnsen: This stay was super last minute emergency situation. We had no power for days with no idea when they would have it back on. Obviously we where not the only people with this problem so hotels where booking fast! When we arrived they where very short staffed due to call outs. They still managed to be on top of everything! NYO was awesome very helpful and informative on everything. The room was clean and the beds where actually comfortable. All the staff I had the chance to meet where very nice. I honestly have no complaints besides the rude people checking in and throwing a fit about having to wait a bit for there room.
Response: Thank you for choosing Extended Stay America. We are genuinely sorry about the circumstances that brought you to us. However, we are glad a difficult day was made better by our devoted staff. Nyo is terrific at anticipating our guests’ needs and ensuring their stay is most memorable. He will be pleased to hear your compliments. We are also delighted to learn that you were pleased with our immaculate accommodations and that you had a good night's rest in our comfortable beds. We appreciate your great feedback and hope to have you as our guest again. Sincerely, Hotel Management

Jason Picarello: The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure that we needed had everything we needed for our stay. Room was very comfortable and clean. Also the close proximity to the blue line Metro Springfield station made it extremely easy to go all throughout the DMV. Next time I am in town I will definitely stay here again!

Deirdre Unsur: As I am the process of moving, I needed temporary quarters. This has become my second home. Hodan the General Manager was very accommodating and Nyo the Assistant Manager always has a smile and helps with whatever you need. The staff in general is great. They have a good assortment of kitchen items so you can cook for yourself and not spend a fortune on takeout. I like it so much I have extended my stay.
Response: Thank you for posting such kind comments about our hotel, especially about our team members. We make every effort to provide service that is above and beyond your expectations, so we are pleased to see that you are enjoying your comfortable suite with a fully equipped kitchenette. We look forward to sharing your comments with our team. Thank you for choosing Extended Stay America, and please enjoy the rest of your visit. Sincerely, Hotel Management

Barry Arons: It is very well located and quiet. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Nyo at the front desk is extremely conscientious at his job and has a good work ethic. Kerry always welcomes everyone with a big good morning hello.
Response: Dear Barry, we are delighted to know you had a wonderful stay at Extended Stay America. It is a pleasure to learn the service provided by our associates Nyo and Kerry surpassed your expectations; we will surely share your compliments with the team. Thank you again for staying with us; we look forward to welcoming you back. Sincerely, Hotel Management

Mike: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.. Kids running thru hallways bouncing basketball all hours of the night one even banged on my door. False fire alarms every month. People smoking in front of the building. Hallway carpet is dirty and their isn’t no AC in the hallways which means it is very hot n muggy in the halls. No maintenance man the manager doesn’t know what she is doing. The trash room was constantly being overflowed with trash some even left the trash outside their doors. Only 3 housekeepers and they only clean rooms every 2 weeks. STAY AWAY FROM HERE.
Response: Dear Mike, it wasn't very reassuring to read your comments concerning your stay at our hotel. Please accept our apologies, as we never mean to disappoint our guests. We can assure you that what you experienced is not acceptable by our standards. We will be taking the proper action as we are committed to providing every guest with a wonderful experience. Thank you again for your candid feedback, as this helps us improve the experience for future guests. We hope to have another opportunity to welcome you for a much better experience. Sincerely, Hotel Management

Loren Sunell: This place is AWFUL. I got there and no one was at the front desk to check me in. And then, once she showed up, she tried to charge me again even though I had paid in advance. After that they gave me a smoking room when I requested a non-smoking room. They did not prepare my reservation properly so I could not access the Wi-Fi and missed a key meeting for work. The hallways smelled like weed and the entire facility was filthy. After all of that, I tried to check out and they have refused to refund me even though I did not get what I had reserved! I went through Booking, and Booking said without the hotel acknowledging what happened they could not do anything for me. I tried calling the hotel and the phone just kept ringing. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.
Response: Loren, it is indeed disheartening to read your review for us. Firstly, we regret knowing about the associates not being present at the front office and the wait you experienced in receiving assistance. We assure you we will review this with our team to avoid any future lapse in service. We are also concerned about the smokey stay you had. We are a non-smoking hotel, but on a rare occasion, we do have violators of this rule. We take this seriously and assure you we will address it right away. Additionally, we will look into your claim for the refund and see what we can do for you. We hope to be of your service and regain your trust. Sincerely, Hotel Management

Ahmed Abdelhamid: The entire staff was always helpful and polite. Had two rooms and both of them where very clean and just felt comfortable to be in. I also liked the view from my rooms it was very relaxing.
Response: Ahmed, thank you for being our guest and for taking time to review your experience at Extended Stay America. It's so nice to know you found your suite comfortable and you were pleased with the exceptional service from our staff. We work hard to provide high levels of service, so we will share your compliments with the team to let them know their efforts are appreciated. Thank you for choosing our hotel, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon. Sincerely, Hotel Management

Sassy Sauce: I enjoyed staying at this hotel so much. They have the best sheets. They were nice and thick, smooth and just felt like a warm hug. I liked the sheets so much I called back to see if I could find out what the thread count and company were that made the sheets. They have a nice restaurant downstairs and the food is reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant. It’s very close to downtown and walking distance to shops, restaurants, metro stations, and the arena. It’s a great location and I would definitely stay again.

Linda Maneen: Every staff member was great, helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Each did an excellent job in representing Hilton. The rooms definitely needed upgrading, so it is good that renovation is underway. Some guests were obnoxious, but that could not be helped. Fewer dogs would have been nice, too. The breakfasts and happy hours were most enjoyable. Because of the staff, five stars were earned.

Laura Taylor: This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The staff are excellent. I would like to mention Jessica, Richard and Brigitte who provided excellent service. The breakfast and manager’s reception are great. The rooms are clean, but during the course of our stay (that is why I have only given a 4 rating). The rooms could have been cleaned a bit better. One day, our garbages were not emptied. Overall, it was a good experience, but with the room blocks for the conference I attended, I was not able to stay a day longer that I needed to.

Allison H: We typically love embassy suites. Location here is excellent. The hotel is under major construction. We had to step over uneven floor and construction zone in lobby. Room was large but exceptionally worn. Stains on carpet and sheets. Worn arms on chairs. We were woken up to a jackhammer at 730 am on Saturday. People on our floor had a pot party. We talked to manager who did try to make it up to us. They said they kicked out people with the pot. Very friendly staff. Many people came to breakfast in bare feet. Parking is very expensive at over70 per night with tax. Might be ok if completely renovated in future. Very different experience and level of clean than any other embassy suites we have ever stayed.

Katie Parsons: Hotel is nice and clean. Friendly staff. Valet parking is $69 for them to park it in a garage under the hotel🤯 of you ask where else you can park they (valet) will tell you no where, it’s too dangerous if you don’t park with them but couldn’t explain why. Complementary and made to order breakfast. Complimentary happy hour. There is no restaurant at the moment it’s being built and the pool area no longer has a hot tub so that was misleading. The hot tub and restaurant are why we booked here so that’s a disappointment. Pool is very small but other than those three things the stay was wonderful.

Taylor Dungan: Absolutely terrible. Walked into the room after checking in and immediately walked out to cancel the booking. I wish wish wish I would have looked at the reviews prior because none of them were lying. Starting off with the smell, horrendous. My friend and I got a non smoking room, but it smelled as though it was a smoking room. There was holes in the sheets, black mold inside the fridge, and as I open the fridge, a LIVE COCKROACH crawls around inside it. This isn’t mentioning that there were white spores on the floor, counters hadn’t even been wiped down and the door looked like it had been broken into multiple times. I didn’t even set my blanket or bag down on the bed because who knows what’s in there. Easily the worst hotel I’ve ever had the displeasure of booking. The best part of the hotel is the fact that I was able to get a full refund after speaking with hotels.com (I booked through them). Save yourself the headache and potential heath problems and spend a little extra at a nicer hotel. This place should be shutdown immediately.

Jenny Toleson: I definitely should have read the reviews before staying. I was in desperate need of a place to stay and this was one of the most affordable. I should have just spent they extra 15 dollars for a better motel. The room smelled bad. The air conditioner was barely blowing air. There was rust on the fridge. The wifi was going in and out. The TV has terrible wiring and the picture kept going in and out. The bed spread had multiple cigarette holes in and the pillows were flat and small. I would not be coming here again. I am glad my stay was short.

lola logan: Hotel needs an upgrade. This morning when I got up, there was a roach crawling up the wall! Do better guys your rooms really suck! Cleanliness is next to Godliness, you’re not on the way to the heavenly gates. I couldn’t get the roach picture up, but that’s so gross.

Patricia Howard: Excellent Hilton quality minutes from the National mall. Well appointed small town feel with high quality cafes, restaurants and theaters within a blocks walk of the front door. Rooms are updated and clean with a mini fridge and microwave for convenience. Parking is included at a parking garage across the street. Has an indoor pool and hot tub open until 10pm.

CURB -N- SIGN Inc.: Very nice location. Not to far from DC but far enough from all the commotion and traffic. This hotel is located in a small compact little village. The village has a movie theater, restaurants and grocery store. The hotel is centrally located in the village and everything is in walking distance. The staff is very open and friendly. There is a restaurant and bar inside the hotel. Rooms are decent but the water pressure is very low unfortunately. Other than that great overall experience.

Matt Rowicki: A great hotel option in a fantastic little development. Only con is that there is no direct metro access as the other Hilton garden Inn in Crystal city has so if that is important to you, go with that hotel. Parking is free although across the street but for me that was a positive as I was able to walk through the area a little more. Rooms are clean.

Wadsworthwomens Tennisleague: This is a great location. The staff is very helpful and a top priority is taking care of their guests. I want to give a special recognition to Zach, the front desk manager. He is very dedicated, friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel and I will stay here again. 🙂

Joseph Russell: My wife and I spend last week here. Our experience was wonderful. The staff was very helpful, polite, room was clean, comfortable, when we return we are sure to chose the Hilton Garden inn Arlington. I also like that a grocery store close and there were a variety of different place to get food without driving. We felt very safe here.

Jessica Gadson: Not just great customer service but Exceptional Customer Service!!!! Wendy Williams was absolutely amazing like a breath of fresh air after our flight from Atlanta. The room was very clean and tidy. I was nauseated and Wendy went out of her way to leave me some ginger ale on my door. I wasn’t aware of the extra fee on my card but a simple visit to the front desk cleared that up. Great customer service will clear up any negative reviews as we all know people write more negative reviews than positive. I don’t go out of my way to write reviews however Wendy’s service speaks volumes! Thank you for exceptional customer service!

ana jimenez: When booking I was never notified the Residence Inn Greenbelt was under major construction. I was mortified after arriving from an 8 hour drive. After check-in, the associate Mike was very pleasant and notified me three times of the strict no smoking policy. I appreciated how forward he was a nonsmoker who deals with allergies. When opening the door to my room, the putrid smell of cigarettes hit me in the face. I immediately called down to Mike and he changed my room. He even confirmed that the odor was awful. The second room also had an odor. but was manageable. The carpet was not vacuumed and was full of dog hair, which caused me to have an allergic reaction. The next morning going to breakfast I was lost because nobody at let me know you had to go outside to get to the the lobby. The shower was dirty and difficult to operate because only one side opened. The staff were the best part; Mike, Wendy, and the breakfast/kitchen associates. I have to come back to Greenbelt a few more times this year and was hoping Residence Inn Marriott Greenbelt would be my place of respite.

jagriti lamba: It was ok. Room was fine. There was smell in the elevator, and hallway. Bathroom had no body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. It did have hooks to hang bottles but no bottles. No water bottles in the market place. None in the room. Vending machine was out of order.

Rama Krishna: Very courteous staff, good rooms and excellent breakfast. Highly recommend. The staff really helped me and did everything to provide me a room when the neighboring Hilton Garden Inn did not honor my confirmed reservation and threw me on the street

B S: I have stayed at Residence Inns frequently. This one is not up to typical standard. Cleaning rooms once a week is something that should have been changed well over a year ago. The breakfast was subpar compared to other RIs. And usually coffee is available all day but not here. Shower had issues too. Not horrible but will look for another Marriot property in area next time.

Tiffany Hannah: Room was nice and appeared to be clean, but in day 2 of our stay we found several bugs. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Six Flags America: what do users think?

Joshua Russell: We started coming here in the Fall of 2021 and decided to purchase season pass, they are very affordable. We have come a few times and I have been really impressed. They have different themes through the year which is nice to see how they decorate and celebrate. We have been to Halloween, Christmas and just went to the Fiesta theme. The wait times were really fast or nonexistent for all the rides. They had water sprinklers going which was good because it was so hot! Our family enjoyed all the rides throughout the day. There is always a staff member nearby ready to help which was really great to see and we saw a lot of people cleaning the park throughout the day. I do wish there was more mobile food ordering available though, when we were looking only one location was offering mobile orders, so hopefully that will grow. Overall great park for the family!
Response: We appreciate the review. Thank you for taking the time. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Tim Bergstrom: Great place to take kids in DC for a break from museums and tours. I enjoy museums and tours quite a bit, but let’s be honest, for kids, they can be little bit like a church service. Six Flags gave my kids and me a break from the usual and gave them a chance to blow off steam. Our favorite rides were Superman, Bat Wing, Joker’s Jinx and the Firebird. Have fun.
Response: Glad to learn your experience was a positive one. Hope to see you again soon!

Rittik Bhowmik: Great experience. Strong suggestion is to get the tickets online before visiting, there is almost always a long queue for tickets. Most of the rides were usually not that busy, so everyone can finish all the rides at-least ones, and can even go for seconds if interested.
Response: Thank you for the review. Have a wonderful day!

Jeremiah Gore: Needs another solid coaster as Superman Ride of Steel is great but where is the number 2 coaster? Some good rides throughout the park including a fun coaster built in 1917...The Wild One. By far this Six Flags has the friendliest staff of any Six Flags park... including multiple manager level employees we met while walking around the park.
Response: Hi, thank you for taking the time to provide us with a review of your experience. I am pleased to hear that our team made your experience pleasant and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

pam wright: Rides were barley open, lazy river, the pool with the purple slide, the purple & green slide, renegade rapids, penguin blizzard, shipwreck falls, & more ALL we’re NOT OPEN! I don’t understand why these rides are not open. You pay your money to come here, but it’s not worth it because more than half of there rides are not operating. What a shame Not to mention I have diamond elite membership, I pay 20$ extra per month for what idk? Need to cancel that! Update 6/28/2022 im going to change my rating from 1 star ⭐️ to four stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ I came back here again to give them another chance. Can you believe it after maybe 1-2 years the finally opened the lazy river.. Wow renegade rapids, penguin blizzard, shipwreck falls, was opened today. It’s good to arrive early get a good spot, we ordered food it was ready and condiments was available. 🤩 However, the staff there are really young and the don’t know how to talk to people & families. They all act like they don’t want to work.
Response: We appreciate the review. Thank you for taking the time. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Terri Young: If you want to be able to ride the rides without a long wait go early during the week.. We were able to ride the rides several time without a long wait park is not that crowded when u go early it was a nice experience 😉. By the time we were ready to go the park was getting a bit crowded....
Response: Thank you for the rating. If you’d like to share any details about your experience, we are always looking for ways to improve.

Shah Md Mayen Uddin Chistee: This a great family fun place. There are so many rides that you will never get bored. I enjoyed most of the rides I took. You can take your kids there and they will love it. I recommend buying online entry ticket and parking pass. This will save some time for you.
Response: Hi Shah Md Mayen Uddin, we’re thrilled to get this kind of feedback. Thank you for taking the time to review us. Hope to see you again soon!

tammy mcilhaney: Wait ?? There are rides here ?? Could’ve fooled me!! Everything is closed! Workers cranky! Burger was a joke! Shops closed “register” issue. Maybe 1/4 of the food stands open. Maybe 1/2 the rides open. Got stuck on the Superman! The one operator for a ride abandoned her post because of a spider!

Christopher Lew: tl;dr: Relatively inexpensive tickets for a pretty fun time, although the park does its very best to nickel and dime you. Park is pretty small, but can definitely do the entire park in 1 day (depending on ride lines). Rides - 3/5: The roller coasters were very fun! The wooden roller coasters look like they could fall apart at any moment, and are so rickety it made our party very nauseous. My favorite was the batwing, and the waiting times were not crazy. It could be the time of year but the average wait time for the rides were ~ 5 minutes. Getting to the park - 4/5: Buying tickets online was very straightforward and you are paying for both Six Flags America and Hurricane Harbor which is the water park. Very easy access from DC (only a 30 minute drive). Parking online is cheaper than at the gate, but when we went the POS stations were down, so they let us park for free ($30 normally)! Lots of parking with good markings to remember where you parked. Very little security at the door which was kinda concerning, but we were able to bring in snacks. Food - 1/5: We were very nauseous from some of the roller coasters, and wanted to buy some ginger ale, and it was literally 6 dollars a bottle. There is a mildly concerning food stall called ChopSix (like six flags) with "Chinese" font that served knock-off panda express at double the price. Very overpriced. We kept food in our car, and went outside the park (we could reenter) to eat.
