Urban Boxing: what do users think?

Megan Eitel: This is the best boxing gym I’ve been to in DC. Coaches take every opportunity to improve individual form and technique while giving the entire class an excellent workout. Every coach provides an intense and unique workout. I especially love the attention to form and technique that are provided in both Josh and Jeremy’s classes. This gym, and all of its coaches have improved my boxing form, technique, strength and stamina.
Response: Hi Megan. Awesome! Super happy to hear that! We appreciate the kind words

Jeff Wong: Urban boxing is legit. Josh, Crane, and Arturo were all extremely friendly and highly skilled. They've designed classes to include a great combination between intense workouts while also teaching technique/skill. If you're wondering if you should go to Urban Boxing in Foggy Bottom, at least pop in and talk to staff. You won't be disappointed!

Andrew Monaghan: What a great gym! Crane gave me a warm welcome and all the coaches I worked with - Josh, Charles, Arturo and Jordan really knew their stuff (Arturo has the best taste in music though!). I came for the boxing - which was really good, and then started on kickboxing too... Thank you! I learnt a lot and can't recommend it highly enough... I hope to be back one day soon!

Vanessa Salazar: 100% recommend Urban Boxing to anyone looking for a high-quality boxing gym! All of the coaches are knowledgeable and friendly. All levels are welcome! Kickboxing with Ify on Wednesday’s are awesome!
Response: Thanks Vanessa! You rock :)

Brittany Bennett: I love this gym. I joined with zero boxing experience and have always found the coaches to be encouraging, enthusiastic, and very knowledgable about the sport. The classes are tough workouts, but I'm definitely in better shape now than I was when I started. The coaches do a great job getting around to everyone to offer more personalized instruction and pay a lot of attention to technique. As a woman, it's a bit nerve-racking to jump into a male-dominated sport, but I've always felt super comfortable and uplifted by coaches, staff, and other students at Urban Boxing. The classes are a good mix of genders, too. If it's your first time taking a boxing class, make sure you sign up for one of the introductory levels. It's a fun, supportive gym and a great workout! Definitely recommend.
Response: Thanks Brittany!

Anne Richardson: When my 14 yo son said to me “mom, I want to try boxing” I thought: “great! But how on earth do I get into the boxing world not knowing anything , and, it’s it going to be an ok place for a kid?” UB was incredible, they walked him through the into process, treated him like a kid with kindness but also as a serious athlete. They are patient, kind, and approachable. Christian and Josh in particular, are spectacular trainers and really great people. Crane is at the desk and is informed, kind, and a super friendly presence to greet you. My son is certainly challenged, and leaves the place feeling so great about himself every time:like going to church! We love UB and will continue to train there as long as we can!

Kara Holbrook: Best boxing gym in DC! Not only is it the hardest workout, but it's in a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment. I felt so welcomed by Crane, Arturo & the entire rest of the team when I first joined in January. They have such variety in their classes/class times that it's easily accessible for everyone. Crane is the BEST and is so accommodating to everyone at the gym!! thank you Urban Boxing!
Response: Hello kara! Thanks a million for your kind-hearted review! Crane and Arturo Truly are some of the most kind hearted people i have came upon! Here at urban boxing we do not gatekeeper boxing! Everybody is welcome!

Nicolette DeLorenzo: I love urban boxing! The coaches are professionals, and yet make boxing feel accessible. I started kickboxing, then transitioned to taking all classes. You get the opportunity to train, spar, develop athletically and strategically. Would recommend urban boxing to anyone looking for not only a new workout routine, but a chance to feel empowered and strong inside and out!
Response: Thanks Nicolette, we love you back!

JLG: I have spent the past 4 months going to URBAN boxing in DC to train both one on one and through their group classes. My body has transformed. I went from 180lbs to 165lbs, feel stronger than ever, all while having fun. Wether you want more stamina, get in shape, loose weight, etc etc, URBAN boxing is an excellent choice with excellent coaches. If you are on the fence, trust me and just come in for one class. I cannot more recommend Krane and his team of coaches. Joshua, Jordan and Randal are my three favorite coaches for different reasons. and depending on the type of workout you want what's awesome is that they each have their own style. Joshua is technical the most sound, he is a traditional boxer and focuses on getting it done right while building up your core. there are no two same workouts with joshua. I also recommend his 1:1. Jordan gets you sweating in no time with a brutally good mix of HIIT and boxing. Randal on the weekends reaches you different styles of boxing, with different stands and brings a fun atmosphere where everyone participates or else push ups for everyone. LOVE IT! Krane the manager is himself a gym nut and will help you with anything you need. The gym is super clean, people all have masks and I feel super safe going. Will you be sore after workouts? YES, but its functionally sore. I actually look forward to being sore, I know its crazy but true. Look no further if you want a diverse group of folks working out from all ages, background and styles. So many classes are available, boxing, kickboxing, abs, etc etc. Come check it out. Highly recommended!!! Don't worry if you know how to box or not, no matter your level, you will get a workout in and progress no matter your goals.
Response: You rock! Thanks so much for the review!

Gabriel Söderberg: Super professional, honest, and with awesome atmosphere. No binding multi-month or yearly contracts for training- just as it should be. Also, awesome trainers and staff - totally recommend training here.
Response: Thanks so much Gabriel!

NUBOXX: what do users think?

Callie Riley: I've been in DC for many years and tried many of the "bigger" gyms--Nuboxx has been far and away my favorite. I've been injured (not boxing related!) for the past few months and was anxiously awaiting being cleared to return to the studio because my first several months here made me feel the strongest I had in years. The studio is beautiful; the coaches are kind but will push you hard while focusing on technique to avoid injury; the community of people is fantastic; and, as a bonus, it's woman-owned.

Jason Mann: I have been taking Harold's classes at U St consistently twice a week during my 90 day training program. Harold always goes above and beyond to make his classes intense, fun and safe. Every workout he brings new and creative elements which push our fitness and boxing skills. He is always accommodating to the skill level of each individual participant which makes everyone feel welcomed, yet challenged. He is consistently giving positive feedback and constructive criticism. Harold takes health and safety seriously by keeping us socially distant when we can be, and cleaning equipment during and after the workout. Every time I leave Harold's classes I feel like a better version of myself, both physically and mentally. Harold Hart is a 10/10 coach!!!

Katherine Cotsonas: NUBOXX personal training totally saved me during COVID. Not only was it safe according to all protocols, the facility is beautiful and new, and the coaching staff is top notch. The workouts are amazingly, effective too—I started at twice a week and upped my training to three times a week. Eric’s knowledge and expertise is unmatched, and his ability to motivate and push you is not like anything I’ve ever experienced—and I’ve tried basically every workout when it comes to boutique fitness. Seriously—sign up—you won’t regret it.

dekexz19: Really great establishment. Has a variety of equipment and can get you into shape at any fitness level. Moe is an especially helpful and understanding trainer who helped me get the most out of my workout🔥

R.P.: I didn’t think I was the personal training type. I loved group fitness classes and always thought I'd never do anything else. But with the arrival of the pandemic - not only were my go to classes shutdown, but my fitness routine - which I relied on to keep my mental health in check - was in peril. So I made the leap and started personal training with Que at NUBOXX. And let me tell you it saved me. I’ve been working with Que for 6+ months. I feel challenged at every session. He is incredibly knowledgeable, patient and motivating. I love that he is so personable and very relatable - it makes the workouts and experience that much more fun. With a program designed specifically for me, I have never felt or looked stronger. My only regret is I didn’t start this years ago. Can’t recommend it enough!

Michael Kearney: NUBOXX has been a life saver. I started back in November as a way to get myself out of the covid funk. Working with Eric over the past 8 months has given me the strength, mental clarity and focus that friends and family can see. Highly recommended for anyone at any fitness level. Boxing and strength training is, in my opinion, the best form of workout.

Celina Ticoll-Ramirez: I've been working Donte since October and have never felt stronger. Training at NUBOXX has been challenging, but also so fun because of the supportive community. I used to be so scared of lifting, but working out at NUBOXX and with Donte has shown me there's nothing to be afraid of and gotten me to a point that I feel confident doing It. Plus, I've found a new love for boxing. I've been pushed out of my comfort zone in the best ways.

Logan Dobson: A wonderful boxing gym for fighters of ever level -- brand new up to talented local amateurs. The coaching staff is friendly and accessible, the facilities are clean and well-maintained. I myself started coming after I'd been boxing for a few years, but I've seen plenty of people show up with no experience at all and get schooled correctly. Personal training is available and will wear you out in a smart, thoughtful way. Fully recommend.

Elizabeth Engel: I've been a Nuboxx member and fan for two years now. Although I haven't felt comfortable going into the gym since the shutdown started in March 2020, I've been training outdoors with Donte once a week religiously. Knowing that I have that weekly appointment coming has helped keep me focused on the days in between. Thanks to Donte's dedication, persistence, care, knowledge, and skill, I think I'm actually going to be a better boxer when this is all over than I was before, even though I haven't been in the gym for 11+ months (although I can't wait to get back!).

Andrea Holtermann: The personal training services here are amazing! I've been going to Eric for 6 months and the results are great. The training is super personalized to your needs and they do a great job of tracking your performance.

N-Flux: what do users think?

Becca Andersen: I had no prior experience with self defense or any martial art and my boyfriend bought me the Women and Femme self defense intensive course for this weekend. It was AMAZING, so inclusive of all experiences and fitness levels, talked about real world applications and scenarios and gave us a safe space to practice those scenarios and key moves to protect us. There were no gimmicks, just each person realizing their own strength and ability and personal strategy. The instructors were kind, inclusive, supportive, and I will definitely be returning for more classes. Thank you!!! [people, buy course passes for your partner, for yourself, for your family... they'll love it!!]

Katherine Daw: I went to self defense for women and femmes with Colleen! Amazing course! Colleen has designed the curriculum with both practicality and thoughtfulness in mind. She made sure all of us felt safe, cared for, and heard throughout the experience, even as we were tackling difficult topics and potentially triggering exercises and drills. She and the folks helping out were very knowledgeable and gave great pointers and individual attention to everyone in the class. I’ve come out of the weekend very sore, but feeling empowered and much more confident in my ability to defend myself in an emergency. This class has also inspired me to continue training in martial arts so that I continue to hone my self defense skills. Truly can’t recommend this highly enough.

Sean Leonard: I was a complete beginner to martial arts classes, and N-Flux was a fantastic, welcoming environment. There was a broad range of skill levels – from completely new people to seasoned professionals. Would highly recommend for someone looking for a place with a good sense of community, wide range of classes, or even a good open gym environment.

Leah Wilson-Lyons: I went to self defense for femmes with Colleen and had the BEST time. A welcoming gym environment for women that you won’t find at other places. I feel strong and empowered and lucky to have taken the self defense course. Every woman in DC should take this course!! It is so worth every penny. Colleen goes above and beyond to help you outside of class and to get to know you personally. The environment is very supportive and helped with my anxiety going in. Great community at that gym. I will be back!

Alexis Barton: I highly recommend the Guerrera workshop and Colleen that I took with N-Flux. I took the workshop with my 12 year old daughter and we both had an incredible experience - both with Colleen and the other instructors and with the group of women in the workshop with us. We were a mix of women of different ages, sizes, life-experience, and abilities but we all felt included and comfortable - which for practicing something like this is so important. Colleen made every technique and strategy accessible and straightforward but we still learned so much. Thank you!

Andrea Fort: I took the Guerrera self-defense class out of pure curiosity and I LOVED IT! This was just the type of physical / mental challenge I was looking for and I mean that it wasn't difficult, just something that felt really great to achieve! Colleen, the lead instructor, is a powerhouse and her energy is contagious! I also appreciated the wholesome guidance from all 3 other instructors, ever watchful about our technique and form... encouraging us along the way. It was also amazing to bond with other women and femmes over such a particular and vulnerable practice. I'm so glad to have met all of them, THIS IS a safe space! Thank you Colleen, Sarah, Tahira, Riley, you all make such a great and diverse team! I highly recommend this experience to ANYONE. Go for it!

Roger Routh: Went to N-Flux while I was in DC visiting my daughter. She's been going for over a year and speaks highly of it. I can see why. It was a GREAT workout. Tremendous camaraderie between the attendees and between the attendees and Chris the owner. I highly recommend it.

Kay Tang: Colleen and her team of instruction assistants are amazing. They truly create a great space for females to voice, share, and learn the everyday challenge to their safety. I learned a lot!

Caroline Routh: The happiest I've been in a long time! Working out here provides me with an amazing community of peers who aim to uplift and support each other, and the staff instruction is unmatched anywhere in the city. As a beginner I have never felt overwhelmed or intimidated. I cannot recommend N-Flux highly enough!

Akhilesh Pillalamarri: N-Flux is so great! Due to joining N-Flux, I developed, for the first time in my life, an interest in fitness and exercise because N-Flux showed me the path of holistic mind-body thinking and helped me foster a goal of improvement. I initially joined just to stay fit on a weekly basis, but now I also want to attain certain fitness goals and push myself more. One of the main reasons for this is the supportive and personalized atmosphere that keeps one coming back and that everyone who goes to N-Flux soaks in. My favorite classes are the mace training and boxing, but I recommend everything, and there's something for everyone of every level. The people are great, and of course, a special thanks to Chris and Colleen, who have made N-Flux what it is today. Highly recommended!

Nuboxx: what do users think?

Brian Doty: Both the H St and U St locations are top notch! Started going to Nuboxx from ClassPass and instantly got hooked and signed up for my own membership. It’s so much more than a boxing gym, it really this awesome community where the owners and coaches get to know you and are there to help you meet your goals.

Kristina Skinner: Nuboxx is my happy place! I recently moved to DC and was seeking a place to get back into boxing and back into shape. I started training with Eric and got hooked instantly. He keeps the workouts challenging, but also manages to make me laugh while he's also making my fat cry. He has been a true partner in working with me on transforming my body - from sharing nutrition guidance to switching up our workouts to achieve specific goals. He also doesn't compromise on form - whether it be my boxing footwork or deadlift posture, he is always pushing me to do better. Highly recommend Nuboxx private training to anyone looking for a fitness plan that is fun, challenging, and effective.

Francesca Caal Skonos: I would give Nuboxx 10 stars if Google let me! Incredible family like atmosphere! Q and Moe are amazing coaches and Rachel, the owner, is AMAZING! I have been going to the H Street location weekly for 8 months and I am hooked! 10/10 would recommend!

Nate Wong: Pape, Donte, Will and team are all stars. The coaching is tailored for skill level and each coach ensures that the fundamentals are strong. I especially like having different coaches rotate since act has their own style. Donte helps me with my technique and fast punch combinations, while Pape works cardio and speed with punches. Will ties in footwork and blocks to punching combinations, so throughout a given week I feel like I’m getting a full boxing work out. There’s also a good energy and camaraderie that’s welcoming to everyone no matter if you’ve been boxing for years or it’s your first day. I’ve been coming for the past 3 years coming in with 0 experience. Kudos!

Jamie Morgan: Disappointing from boxing gym perspective. Conditioning was decent. Very little technical training or adjustments were provided, and what was given was poor. If you have any martial arts training, or are looking to learn to fight and defend yourself, I recommend another gym. Not a bad place if you’re more interested in the physical workout.
Response: Hi Jamie, Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed. We recommend starting with our Technical Boxing class, which is structured to focus on technique and skill. The 30/30 class you took is designed to push and challenge you once boxing technique has been developed. We’d love to have you back in for a Technical Boxing class. Please email us at info@nuboxxfitness.com with any other questions or concerns. Thanks again for sharing this experience! – Team NUBOXX

K. Patie: I've been at Nuboxx for nearly a year now, and can't say enough good things about it! Eric is AMAZING and simply a lifesaver. After a bad knee injury, I was frustrated with lack of progress and pain relief from physical therapy. I reached out to Eric, who has patiently worked with me to rebuild strength--and to get past my own fear--to where I'm now able to box, lift, and keep up with high intensity workouts without pain, even without a brace, for the first time in YEARS! Having surpassed my initial goals, he continues to push me to get better, whether in form, strength or technique. More recently I've started the group classes, and the coaches keep it tough, fun, and fresh every time. Highly recommend!

Christopher Bailey: Best workout experience I've ever had that keeps me engaged and excited to go to the gym. The staff is very intelligent, patient, and encouraging. They work well with all experience levels and really push you to improve your skills and technique. The community of members are nice, supportive, and just as excited to be there. I travel all over the U.S. for work and tend to go to LA Fitness, Orange Theory, and other gyms on the road, but nothing compares to Nuboxx. I highly recommended it.

Jim McNamara: I’ve been going to this gym for the past 3 months and it is easily the most fun I’ve had exercising. I had no previous boxing experience and tried it out of curiosity. It has become my favorite hobby, as well as a consistently great workout. The coaches are both patient and motivating. The facilities are very nice. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Shannon Mehaffey: Bachelorette party at nuboxx! We had a bachelorette event at NUBOXX and the bride and bachelorette attendees could not have loved it more. Prior to the boxing class, Rachel and management were very easy to communicate with and happily answered all of my questions regarding booking, cost, other details. The cost was very affordable and more reasonable than other fitness studios in the area I had called for a private class. On the day of, the team at NUBOXX had set up a great table of NUBOXX gear for all of the ladies as well as a gift for the bride. The bride felt so special! The class itself KICKED OUR BUTTS. It was fun, lighthearted, and a great workout. Lauren was our instructor and we Would 10/10 recommend her for your class! She was awesome! Rachel and the team took pictures throughout our class for us and we are so grateful to have the afternoon’s memories documented. NUBOXX partnered with South Block juice co to offer us delish juices at the end of class and we ended up staying for an hour after the class in the lobby just enjoying the juice and good company. It made for a relaxed atmosphere and time to celebrate the bride-to-be! Thanks so much, NUBOXX! We all hope to come back soon.

Monica Puerto: This is my second boxing gym and it has been a great experience. The teachers are friendly and will go at your pace but also challenge you. The studio is really clean, elegant, and has lockers. The receptionist is always so kind and helpful and taught me how to properly wrap my hands.

Rumble Boxing - DC: what do users think?

Nono Khiengsombath: I love Rumble. It’s such an amazing workout class and great addition to any work out regime you may have. My favorite instructor is Mona because she’s so interactive with her class. She checks in and corrects your form which I feel is so important for people who are new or for who continue to do HIT classes like this. The staff is incredibly excellent as well. Amazing energy every time ! And all the instructors are great that I have had. ❤️

Natalie: If I could give Rumble 10 stars I would. I started coming here 6 months after major ankle surgery and I was very nervous about keeping up. 6 weeks later and I see how much stronger I've gotten. I leave every class feeling tired but happy. Rumble is such a fantastic full-body workout and it's FUN. My favorite instructor is Arnie because he will 100% hold you accountable for your workout but he is also supportive and really cares about everyone in his class. I have had to modify exercises a few times but I still feel like I work myself to the max. The only small negative with Rumble is the lack of afternoon classes on the weekends. I am not a morning person and would love to see classes go to 2-3pm, rather than ending around 1pm.

Joshua Beer City Bandit DeJong: I had a great time at Rumble! I was just looking for a random boxing gym to maybe just hit a bag of get some sparring in stumbled into this place. The staff was super friendly right off the bat and even hooked me up with a free pair of wraps for my first class just for signing up. As for the class itself, I can't feel my arms. I kept thinking it was going to be over, and they kept adding stuff. So first there's a warm-up and then a few rounds of hitting the water bag. Then you go over to the other side where you do some weights, and I thought that would be the end, so I went a little harder on the waist than I should have, and when the rounds ended, I heard the instructor say "All right everybody back to the other side!" And I was like... "Other side? Oh my god. I'm supposed to throw more punches after this?!" But I dug deep and rallied even though I was worried I might puke at one point, but I was really feeding off the music and the group environment to push through. Would definitely recommend for a great workout. Oh, and the facilities are great! Free towels, body wash, face wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotions, shaving cream, oh my! And all of it was better than the stuff at my house. 😅 Definitely will be returning sometime soon. 🥊🥊

Lindsey Casella: Ambience of studio is well worth the price of the class. Bring your own gloves, wrap, and water and all extra amenities are free of charge! Shower is inclusive of drybar products and lockers offer free charging. The physical classes have a great atmosphere and are uplifting. Instructors are well-versed and support you well-beyond any other studio, throughout the class. Very happy they opened this location in DC. :)
Response: Lindsey! Happy to have you a part of the RUMBLE fam. Can't wait to have you back in soon! Erika Hammond, Founding Trainer

Lauren Schmitz: I went to my first class this week and will definitely go back! The people checking me in obviously like working there and are energetic to get you started. I took Arnie’s class and it kicked my butt, in a great way. He modeled all of the moves and kept the workout upbeat and challenging. He played great music and reminded me to push it until the end! I would recommend Arnie’s class to everyone!
Response: Lauren! Happy to have you a part of the RUMBLE fam. Arnie loves having you throw down for 10 rounds with him. See you back in soon! Erika Hammond, Founding Trainer

Amee Bhavsar: Badass is how I feel every time I leave Rumble, especially with Arnie and Mona’s classes. The workout is always unique and tailored to the instructors expertise and background. They are extremely well versed about form and I especially want to give props to Arnie’s combos! I’ve been boxing for ten years and been to a variety of studios. Also the facilities and staff are stellar! Go get yo’ rumble on!
Response: Amee! You ARE a BAD@$$. Mona and Arnie love having you crush it in their classes! Sara, Team Rumble

Alycia Deihs: I have been taking classes with Arnie since the day the studio opened its doors and I am hooked. He is one of the best instructors I have encountered in the DC area. He is different. He always brings the fire with his playlists and energy and the workouts never disappoint. Rumble provides all of the amenities you will need(showers, towels, dry bar products, etc) to freshen up and get on with your day or night. It doesn’t matter if it’s your first class or your 50th - you’re sure to get in a great work out and most importantly you’ll enjoy yourself while you’re doing it.
Response: Alycia! Arnie loves having you throw down with him. See you back on the bags soon! Erika Hammond, Founding Trainer

Cortney Vaughan: I took Arnie's class and it was my first time in boxing gloves in front of a punching bag ever. However, I caught on extremely quickly and Arnie's guidance and energy made the class fun and empowering. It is the perfect workout for someone looking to get strong and feel great while doing it. Arnie's music definitely helped too!! Highly recommend!!
Response: Cortney! First of all, welcome to the Rumble fam! Arnie loved having you in class. We'll see you back in the studio soon! Sara, Team Rumble

Katherine Gwyn: Rumble is my favorite boxing studio in DC! Arnie's classes are the best- he's great at giving a challenging workout while making it fun at the same time. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good workout!
Response: Katherine! We love having you a part of the RUMBLE fam. Erika Hammond, Founding Trainer

Rachel Foster: I was excited to try Rumble because I've seen it all over social media and I've been wanting to get into boxing! PROS: Registering for a class was easy and the front desk staff was super nice and helpful. The wraps were only $5 bucks and I got to keep them which was great! The class was high-energy, dark with bright red lights, and great music. Lots of motivation! CONS: The price. HOLY COW this place is expensive. For me, the class is way too similar to Orangetheory and I was looking for a more authentic boxing class (which I've now found with TITLE Boxing.) If you are new to boxing like me, the class might prove to be too fast paced for your first few classes. The instructors go very quickly and on top of it being loud, it is dark and if you're in the back it's hard to see what they are doing to accompany what they're saying (which you may not be able to hear in the first place!) Overall, a decent experience. I will probably go back here and there when I find myself wanting to switch up my Orangetheory/TITLE routine. It's a nice combination of the two.
Response: Hi Rachel! Thanks for checking out Rumble! Happy to hear that you felt motivated during class & that the front desk was helpful! We have a few different class packages like the First Time series (buy one, get one on us!) and the Starter-3-pack ($25/class), which brings each class price down. Hope this helps! Sara, Team Rumble

BOOMBOX Boxing Club: what do users think?

asia atkins: Joining BOOMBOX has been so great for both my mental and physical health! The studio is clean, inviting, and has a well-lit, open concept with lots of natural light. Not to mention the location, which is right across the street from the Nationals stadium! The classes are super fun and engaging, and make 50 minutes feel like five! It's truly a great workout for all ages and fitness levels. All of the coaches and staff are hospitable, and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have any questions answered. 100/10!! I highly recommend for anyone looking for an affordable, high quality workout within a fun community!
Response: Thank you Asia for being a part of this community! We hope to continue to support you in your journey!

Jasmine: I started going to Boombox consistently after doing their sustainability challenge in January 2022. First heard about them in 2020 but officially got a membership in January. I really enjoy this studio and love the instructors. The music is really high pace and keeps me upbeat. Amazing workout that engages all parts of your body. Also, the participants who attend the class are super friendly and I love how welcoming the staff are. They show much appreciation to to us fighters. Boombox is a vibe! 💪🏾
Response: Jasmine you are part of the reason why we do this. Thank you for sharing your energy with us every week!

Esse Darden: Studio with scheduled classes, personal sessions in their ring. Gloves provided, and merchandise available...thanks to Bridgette for all the info.
Response: Hi Esse! Thank you so much for fighting with us and sharing your feedback!

Samantha Hinkls: This business has absolutely no issues with destroying personal property. They put a massive sticker on my car obstructing my view to drive to advertise their business, and it has been impossible to get off. I am all for businesses advertising their services and don't mind if I find a paper advertisement under my windshield wiper, but costing someone money to get a massive sticker removed from their vehicle crosses the line. All of my neighbors on my block had this happen to them as well. This business needs to be get in trouble for their appalling behavior!
Response: Hi Samantha, thank you for your comment but I'm afraid you're referring to another business. BOOMBOX does not use paper advertisements, nor have we ever used or placed stickers on vehicles. I think there may be some confusion between our business here in the Navy Yard and another. However, I am sorry about your experience. If you would like to connect with us to help determine who placed a sticker on your car, we will be happy to help. Please contact our studio.

Roderick Torrrence: I Was interested In the studio and the Assistant Manager Saron Amare was very friendly and took her time explaining the facility and program to me.
Response: We love that you came by to visit us Roderick! We look forward to having you back! We will certainly share your feedback with Saron.

MD B: You really get a great workout and encouragement throughout. They do provide boxing gloves to borrow for the class and handwraps. I highly suggest Cobra or Reggie.
Response: Thank you! We agree, they are great coaches!

Dreux D: I love Boombox! Incredible trainers and fun workouts! Would definitely recommend going to get in shape or to just have a good sweat session!
Response: Thank you Dreux!

Richard Maurice: The first thought that comes to mind when I think of Boombox is "community". Followed by "family" then "gym". I had heard about Boombox for months before I finally attended a class. My friend is a regular & dragged me to class during their "Friendsgiving" promotion in November. To say I was nervous was an understatement. I'm one of those guys who wants to get in shape but doesn't really feel like putting in the work to do it. After some prodding I reluctantly agreed to come to AJ's Saturday 10:15a class. The first thing that impressed me was the location. Right in the heart of Navy Yard its Metro accessible & literally right off the highway so getting there wouldn't be a problem. I walked in & was greeted by a large smile & a friendly greeting by the front desk staff. They saw I was a first timer and helped me get situated. I got my wraps and gloves & was ready to go... except I didn't know how to wrap my hands! Sensing this one of the staff members came over and showed me how to do it. As we waited for class to start I made conversation with a few "regulars" who welcomed me & told me I was in for a good workout. Still nervous I took their word for it & began observing the energy in the waiting area. Everyone was excited! Like really excited. Again I'm not a gym guy but in my occasional visits to Gold's I never see people smiling about the upcoming punishment they are about to endure! As I'm getting in my zone I hear a loud BOOMING voice over the loudspeaker. "10:15 I hope you're READY cause we are going to get it today!" On cue the doors to the gym opened & immediately I'm impressed by the layout & aesthetics. Numbered wrecking ball heavy bags were dangling from the ceilings, the lights were dim & there were mirrors for walls. The music was (for lack of a better word) BOOMING (this class was southern hip hop) & upon entry we were greeted by Coach AJ. In all transparency AJ & I are friends so when she saw me she says "Oooh you finally decided to come join me!!!" But what really stuck out to me was that she had that same energy & love for everyone who walked into the gym. I walk in & see that my bag is right in the front. I look to see if there is space in the back so if I happen to pass out I won't disturb the flow of the class, but to my chagrin there wasn't. The first few minutes of the class AJ demonstrates the punches and defensive maneuvers we would be using during class 1. Jab 2. Cross 3. Front Hook 4. Back Hook 5. Front Uppercut 6. Rear Uppercut 7.Slip 8. Roll Easy enough I suppose. With the basics down it was time to work. And boy did we work. Boombox is structured like an actual boxing match so each circuit is 3 minutes long. The first circuit was the warmup. And let me tell you... I was almost ready to throw in the towel. Jumping jacks, high knees to butt kicks back to high knees and some other movements that made me say "huh". But my heart was racing and the sweat was coming down. "Alright grab some water and get those gloves on" I slowly walk to where my gloves and more importantly where my water was. Take a sip and try to catch my breath. "Fighters you have 20 seconds!" WAIT! Just like boxing a 3 minute round & 1 minute rest. So I scramble to put on my gloves and get back in front of my bag. Now its time to actually box! AJ demonstrates the first combination. "Jab/back hook/roll/front hook" With Three Six mafia blaring in the background I get in my boxing stance. "Tear the club up" - 'Jab' "Tear the club up"- 'Back hook' "Tear the club up" - 'Front Hook' As if on cue AJ comes jumping over on beat & shows me the proper way to do the combo. The rest of the class was a blur but afterwards I knew one thing. I was hooked! I was tired but that good tired after you know you put in work. Now unless I'm traveling you'll see me with my Boombox family on Saturday mornings. And even though I may have become one of the 'regulars' the guys at the front desk still don't get mad b/c I haven't figured out how to wrap my hands yet :-)

ChiChi: Yall this place is AMAZING! From the front desk staff and coaches. The best money i spend every month, is on their membership class. My favorite classes are Coach Angela, David and Reggie (no particular order lol). Im here at least 3-4 times a week. So far ive gotten 3 of my friends to come because they see how fun and great it is. They love it too! 😂 You will always get a full body workout (warm up/stretch, boxing, strength/core, and a cool down/mini yoga stretch). Boombox is THE place to be. PERIODT OK!
Response: Thank you so much for your feedback and rating. The feedback is always appreciated. We hope to see you again real soon.

Ashton Rohmer: What an awesome gym. It's a bit different than more "traditional" gyms, but the vibe is fun and you get an incredible workout. If you've never boxed before, I recommend David or Lauren's classes - I found them a bit easier to follow. Thankful to have this asset in my community!
Response: Thanks Ashton for sharing your feedback on your visit to BOOMBOX! We certainly are excited about being a part of this community and look forward to your next visit!

BASH Boxing - Rosslyn: what do users think?

Samantha Baker: BASH provides such a fun and impactful workout for anyone interested in trying something new!! I have been apart of the BASH fam for almost 2 years now and not only have I seen physical changes to my body but I also have experience increased mental strength. Every day is a different challenge so you will never get board and the coaching staff is the best in the business!!

Rachel Webb: Bash is one of the best gyms in this area, all of the coaches are very positive and encouraging. The classes are fun, relatively quick to fit in your schedule, but provide the tough full-body workout you need. Everyone is at varying levels of participation, with new people always trying it out so the coaches are flexible in providing variations to your skill level. Definitely the only place I've ever seen actually provide a "team" feeling.

Maya Srour: This place really is the best!! I genuinely get excited on my way to class and I am NOT someone who usually enjoys working out or ever did consistently before starting with Bash. The coaches are so warm, welcoming and super fun. They make what would usually be a super intimidating workout class really comfortable while also challenging. You can tell the coaches genuinely care about making sure everyone is getting their proper workout as the groups are always so diverse in age, fitness level etc. I couldn’t recommend Bash enough!

M Pichon: I enjoy it a lot. What I like most is that it can be as intense as you make it. I am recovering from some major sports injuries/surgeries and can get through the workouts with modifications the coaches suggest. I've been to classes where if you can't keep up with the pace you're screwed. Not here.

Lauren Payne: I LOVE this gym! Everyone that works there is so friendly and helpful. The coaches are also amazing. They are always there to help you and encourage you through class. You’ll never be left wondering what’s going on or feel unseen. The classes are also intense! But not in an intimidating way - they can be great for beginners / first timers or amped up for experienced boxers. You get out of the classes what you put into them!

Colleen Smith: I absolutely love this place! I have seen such a difference in my mood and strength and I really look forward to going to my classes (and I'm not a fitness guru.) The workouts are always new and challenging and the coaches are motivating and encouraging. One of the things I enjoy most is that there are people of all fitness levels, ages, genders so no one sticks out. Newcomers should expect the first few sessions to be a bit awkward as you are learning the various swings/exercises, but they are easy to pick up!
Response: Colleen, this popped up on my e-mail and I had to reply. Thank you so much for the incredible review. This is exactly why we do what we do at BASH Boxing. We are so happy you found us and that you feel stronger and apart of our community. See you on the bags! - Alex

Angela Rivera: I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience with Bash. I have attended a class with almost every instructor (my goal is to try them all!) and I've felt that they all really practice the mantra of Bash "We're in your corner". Even as someone as shy as me, I have felt connection with the members, front desk staff and instructors. From before the pandemic, during quarantine and as we reach some sense of normalcy, Bash has adapted beautifully. I have always felt safe and the lobby, bathrooms, shower rooms, and workout room are always clean. I've been a monthly pass holder as well as tried class packs, both options offer flexibility for anyone's budget and I truly believe you get more than what you pay for. Thank you Bash for being a wonderful addition to my fitness routine!

Ashley Rademacher: Every coach is inspirational, motivating, and knowledgeable! Every class is different (strength, endurance, or power focused) and I love the water bags! The studio is immaculately clean, the front desk staff is friendly (and knows you by name!) and the community is so positive, non-judgmental, and fun. Definitely check this place out if you want a great workout and to walk out of the studio feeling like Rocky!
Response: Thanks Ash! You're such an important part of this BASH family- it wouldn't be the same without you! I'm so glad you love each coach- I agree that they're all so different in their own, amazing way! And the water bags- SO good especially if you're worried about impact/injury. I hope you feel like Rocky every time you leave this studio, Ash. See you tonight! Co-Founder Alex Trakas

Natalie Kessler: Bash is an amazing workout and so fun! Music is great, and the vibes are even better. Every workout can be modified to fit your current fitness level, so you never have to feel like you can't participate. 10/10 Recommend!

Samantha DeVito: I have been coming to BASH for almost two years and I've loved every second of it! I started by going twice a week and now go almost every day. Not only is it an incredible workout, but it has been so much fun to learn a new sport. But probably the best thing about BASH is the people! The coaches are are so encouraging, the front desk staff are helpful, and everyone makes you feel welcome and supported. I love being part of the BASH fam and can't recommend it enough!

Bethesda Boxing & Kickboxing Academy: what do users think?

AIIKOS MOM: I was hired here on a Monday and asked to come in the next day to see if I am able to sell memberships, the job listing I was hired for. After hiring me that Tuesday, saying I was "perfect for the job" he proceeded to ask me to come in that Wednesday- Saturday in the mornings, keep in mind I was hired for evening shifts. The owner, Ken, can come on too strong and the amount of work that was outlined to me kept including things I did not agree to. The following week he asked me to come in at 9 am that day, it was 8 am when he asked. I was not hired for mornings but tried to be accommodating. This is not a business you want to work for especially if you require a structure for your workplace and believe the workplace should be a place of professionalism. When I was hired he said I was pretty, but he's hired pretty in the past and it didn't workout. He also liked to compliment me on my physical appearance more than I would expect from a work environment. He's now refusing to pay me for my training because he says I am no longer entitled to that pay because I declined the position. He messaged me a different schedule everyday, and because he does 1099 he likes to pay when he wants and what he wants. Of course I will have to get my pay through a civil suit, but it shouldn't be like this. There's a reason he can't keep employees and why his sales team is non-existent. We'll see each other soon Ken!
Response: Unfortunately when people don't show up when they say they will, it doesn't make for a good employment situation. BBKA only hires honest reliable people.

Anna Breiteneder: I love BBKA! Ken is really nice and always has a smile on the face and makes jokes. You feel like a part of their boxing family from the moment you step in the room. Julie is the absolute best! She is really encouraging and always in a good mood. I only started kickboxing a short while ago but I feel as if I‘ve already made a good progress. They always take their time to talk to everyone individually and show interest in you as a person! Every lesson is different and so much fun!! Would recommend 11/10!

Hannah: I have been coming here for about nine months, and every time I come in, I have a great time. Everyone is incredibly supportive and more than willing to provide assistance. There are many options regarding class rigor, which is perfect for those who are beginners or pros. When I was beginning, the instructor was so helpful, and I was paired with someone who helped me go through the motions. I haven’t had a single negative experience here, and I highly recommend coming here!

Wolf Mina: I love BBKA! I’ve been a long time member and still enjoy it. The team always welcomes you with smiles and happiness. At one point I was exercising while pregnant and Julie was excellent. She always made sure I would not hurt myself. Now I have my baby and they are SUPER ACCOMMODATING! I can workout and bring my little one with me, and everybody is nice to her. Now it’s like a family for her too because she sees them on a regular basis. This Club is great!

Moises G.: Man am I glad I’ve come to this place. Chris and Rafael are friendly and helpful. This is a great place for those who want to get active and learn how to box/kickbox. Been coming here for about a month and a half now and am glad I found out about this gym.

Martin Lacourt: Hope Ken and Julie still are the trainers. We had wonderful (and exhausting) time there. Hope you survived the pandemic. Alina, Martin & Anne

Katherine Guezu: Excellent place!! Both of my kids take classes and they enjoy them so much!!Ken is the best instructor for kids with Asperger !!

Le Bustiere Boutique: Excellent gym for kickboxing and boxing classes. All the trainers are motivational and will help you get that form and extra rep in. Highly recommend them for a boxing class or functional strength training class. We have been coming here for a while and love it! Great for getting those fitness new years resolutions complete.

Kim Bohince: Bethesda Boxing is hands-down the best boxing studio for beginners, intermediate and advanced individuals who want to feel mentally and physically powerful. I attend classes three times a week, and always immediately look forward to the next. Ken, the owner, is fantastic and makes a point to know your name and you genuinely feel like part of the Bethesda Boxing family. Base is my favorite trainer, who always pushes you to your max, varies the workouts, is beyond helpful, and wants you to be your best self. You will thank yourself for signing up, I promise you!
Response: Thank you so much Kim for taking the time to write a review. We are happy you like our offerings.

Caitlynn Barcheski: Truly one of the best gyms I have ever been to. I belonged previously to another boxing gym in the area where I felt the criticism was inconsistent based on the instructor and decided to switch. At BBKA they provide you with many class variations, while providing fun, personable, reliable instructors. All instructors focus on your fitness, technique, while making you enjoy the sweat! Unfortunately, need to move out of the area and I'm sad to leave, but whatever gym I join next has big gloves to fill!

Tony's Boxing Gym: what do users think?

Nathaniel Kundrat: Great gym! As gentrification looms over the city, it is imperative to preserve cornerstones of the community such as this one that aim to help local youth grow into respectable young adults. Don’t misunderstand, you will have to work hard and show true commitment to earn the respect of its members. You will walk away more fit, more confident, and more prepared to help remedy the harsher realities of life. Good luck.

T T: I went here years ago after Keely's closed when it first opened. In the interview with Mr. Tony he was staring at us with a weird glare. He said I see your son has a lot of confidence, let's see how it is when these ghetto kids get on him... I paid and never returned.. I wouldn't trust him with a hampster.. Beware

William Crumpler: Fantastic boxing gym. You have to show up humble and ready to work, but if you do the coaches here will take care of you.

H T: Best boxing gym in DC, you gotta be serious people here don’t play and you’ll get the work you never got.

Müslüm Baba: Washington dcs worst box gym ever.Dont go there.

Will Marvellous: rolled my ankle because some bogan pushed me over

SuperTentigers: no stars had to put one the dude tony total funny style beware

Raheem Williams: Very dusty ghetto too ratchet

Kanzulo: Good gym

Urban Boxing Bethesda: what do users think?

Kevin Scott: For those who have never boxed and are hoping to find a way to lose weight and improve overall fitness, this is the place for you. From requesting a free first class session to being a member for 2 months now, I can’t say enough about how great this place is. The coaches and members are very encouraging and friendly, making a great atmosphere overall. I’ve never felt judged for my (lack of) technique and the more experienced boxers have provided me with bits of advice when I need it. Based on my work schedule, I’ve only attended Coach David’s classes, which have been exactly what I needed. He’s great at pushing you to work harder, but will also praise you for your improvements. I’ve also only heard great things about all of the other coaches, so you can’t go wrong with anyone. It’s definitely a place where you get out what you put into it, but everything is set up to lead you to success. I wish I joined sooner, but late is better than never.
Response: Thanks so much Kevin! We appreciate the feedback! Better late than never indeed! Welcome to the family :)

Isaac Chelminski: Really happy with my experience at Urban Boxing. The classes are challenging in a great way and always fun. I appreciated that there are folk of all levels in the classes and the instructors are great and push you in a good way. Coach David is awesome, I enjoyed all my classes with him in particular. You can’t go wrong with Urban Boxing Bethesda!

Chris Bolinger: Took class with Tom, he’s a great trainer and a cool a** dude. As someone who is from out of town just dropping in, the class was very welcoming. Great atmosphere, great workout. Highly recommend.
Response: Thanks Chris! If you are ever back in town, do not hesitate to come back and visit us :)

Adan Z: I love going to urban it is such a great experience and all the coaches are incredible. Coach David is the kindest and the nicest coach on the planet! Coach Sula is the coolest and was my first coach and I feel that he is a really cool guy and is just fantastic! Tom is really just plane awesome and cares to make sure you are safe and happy plus those kicks he does are kinda scary but also really cool! I also have to say the all ages class is an incredible work out and the kids class is just fun and really cool that we get to spare and learn more about this sport
Response: We are so happy to hear that! Thanks so much Adan

David Basajjamivule: URBAN boxing is a gym which brings people together as they're working out with their experienced coaches, the managers, director's hospitality is No 1 in the Area so my recomendation anyone intrested in working out to join URBAN BOXING GYM
Response: Appreciate the kind words David!

Ben Montemarano: Urban boxing is professional as professional gets. Tom, the general manager, runs a tight ship and maintains the place in an organized and diligent fashion. The trainers are excellent and do a great job working with a large variety of expertise. The trainers are all unique and friendly and incorporate a new style to each on of their classes- Tom, David, Randolph, Sula, Arturo, and Ricky. They provide great additional insight to each member and will augment your boxing training with helpful advice based on the individual's boxing goals. Great community from the staff to the members. I only have positive things to say about this place!
Response: Thanks Ben! We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. We are a family! Keep up the hard work.

Spencer Grant: This is a great gym for boxers of all levels. The coaches are very friendly and are always willing to help you get the most out of the classes. I especially appreciate that they use both the indoor and outdoor areas for classes so that I can get lots of variety in my workouts
Response: Hi Spencer! Thanks for the awesome review. We're glad you like the variety. Keep up the hard work :)

Theo Johnson: Urban Boxing is not only a challenging workout, but it's also incredibly fun. Coming from a running/cycling background, I often feel as though indoor workouts can be boring, but Urban Boxing is totally different. The instructors give your personalized advice and push you to your limits, and there is more than enough room in the gym to feel like you can move well around the bag. If you want to build up your mental and physical strength while having a great time, start with Urban Boxing!

Brandie Huffman: Awesome gym and environment - as someone new to the sport of boxing I immediately felt comfortable and welcomed here. The instructors are very knowledgeable and I always leave feeling like I’ve learned something and gotten a great workout as well!
Response: Aw! That is great to hear Brandie! At Urban Boxing, we are family and we wouldn't want it any other way for our members.

Hannah Margolis: An absolutely incredible gym and very Covid-safe with mask mandate and outdoor classes available. In my experience, boxing gyms tend to either overemphasize the workout at the cost of quality or overemphasize the motions with a cost in cardio workout, but Urban Boxing is great at both! I always leave feeling well exercised and that I improved my skills too. The staff are all SUPER friendly and helpful and I see a lot of boxing beginners take shape here with lots of support.
Response: Hannah, thanks so much for the encouraging words! Your health and safety is a number 1 priority and it's members like you that keep us going! See you at the gym.

Urban Boxing Arlington: what do users think?

F Zervou: What a gem of a place. Professionally run and maintained, excellent coaches and yet they retain a personalized touch and connect with each student. My teenage son is taking boxing lessons and they quickly focused on understanding him and developing trust, then gave him a perfect mixture of training for his physical and mental conditioning. They focus as much on the mind as the body. I’m a supremely picky dad, and I’m sold on these guys. Good people.
Response: Love it!! Thanks so much

Christopher Eirkson: Great gym, will give you a hard workout every class. Instructors are fantastic and motivating. Well worth the money. If I hadn't moved away from the area I would still be practicing here!
Response: Hi Christopher, your words are truly appreciated! Thank you

LFK: I have been a member since January 2018. It has been such an amazing experience and I have learned so much. All the coaches and the front desk staff have been amazing! They have class for everyone, from level 1 at the bag to sparring. Don’t miss the chance to workout while learning a new skill! Priceless!
Response: Welcome to the family, we are honored to have you :) Thanks for the review!

Rico Chandra: Moved to DC from Europe and looked for a boxing gym. After a quick phone call with Dan I went for a class the same day. Signing up at Urban Boxing turned out to be a great decision, life saver really: A whole lot of classes, run by super instructors, and an app lets you sign up first come first served. Do it!
Response: Hi Rico, you are missed! We look forward to having you back in September

Phuoc Nguyen: Great experience. I went with my teenage daughter as first timers to a kickboxing class. All of the coaches made time to say hello and welcome us. The class was challenging and fun.
Response: Hi Phuoc, we are delighted to hear that!

Your DMV Team Realty: A few of our agents are members of this gym and we can't say enough about how great the training and staff is! Truly a great workout for all levels! We love how the trainers push us to be the best and get the most out of our workouts but not overly aggressive! Highly recommend this gym to anyone in the area looking for a great environment to get a workout in
Response: Aw! Thanks so much! We truly appreciate the words :)

Cassidy Charles: I absolutely love the team at Urban Boxing. From day one, Dan made me feel comfortable with being in a serious gym for the first time. My first class was really hard but my instructor, Antoine, really pushed me and helped me through it. Everyone in the class was very supportive and overall cool to workout with. Antoine's classes were some of my favorite. I also took kickboxing with Jeff and Mike which I highly recommend if you want to do more leg work and do some more laughing through the pain.
Response: Thanks Cassidy, that is what we strive for!

Sophie Kushen: All around fantastic studio, wish I could give them 10 stars. The environment is super welcoming, not intimidating, and like everyone says, it's a second home. Truly going to be some of the people I miss most when I move! Dan, Josh, and the rest of the front staff are always totally lovely and accommodating and make every single person who comes in feel welcome and pumped up. We live for the fist bumps. The coaches are all phenomenal; they're always around to help correct technique or encourage you to work just a little bit harder, but they're also just all-around lovely humans who truly care about their students. I've had a serious ankle injury and Mike and Antoine have been angels helping me modify workouts so I can still come to classes safely while still pushing me to be better and not get lazy. The facilities are spotless and the staff is great about disinfecting after each class and making sure everything is covid safe. Could not recommend highly enough!

Matthew Fuller: Best gym in the area. If you're looking to learn something new, build on what you know, or just get in killer shape, this is the place to do it. Tons of classes for any schedule. Antoine, Tom, and the rest of the coaches are highly committed, accessible, and hold you accountable which you don't get most places. Great community too. If you're looking for a boxing gym, Urban Boxing Arlington is the spot.
Response: Hi Matthew, thanks for the kind words! Consider us your second home. We just added some level 2s to the schedule. Please check them out and let us know what you think!

Kristin Lee: I love this gym! Very clean and welcoming with a team of great coaches (Mike, Filip, Nathan and Antoine, to name a few). I would recommend to anyone, no matter their level of boxing experience.
Response: Thanks Kristin! We appreciate the love. Did you know for each friend you refer who joins, you get a free month! Bring anyone in you think will love Urban as much as you do :) Thanks again

Fort Washington United: what do users think?

Esha: This is my son's first year attending FWU and I couldn't be more excited and blessed for my son to work with such a professional and polite staff. My son's tutor Ms. Nicole has worked tirelessly to make sure he not only stays on task for his grade level goals but that he also exceeds them.🙌🏽 My son also has some amazing coaches that are not only helping to teach him the various skills and techniques associated with MMA but they also teach him discipline, respect, and teamwork.😉 FWU has mastered the recipe for developing successful students and I'm glad my son is one of them.😊

Willie Hicks: Hope this review helps anyone on the fence……..our son is an energetic (kid has a lithium Ion Tesla battery), rambunctious, 100% boy. We love him to pieces but noticed his weight was slowly creeping up, his attention span, and listening skills weren’t where we wanted them to be. We wanted to be proactive and get him into a disciplined environment while also increasing his physical activity. We researched different Martial Arts Academy’s in the Fort Washington area and came across Fort Washington United. We initially called in January 2021 and spoke with Nicole. Within a week we decided to bring our son in for a trial class. The atmosphere and environment was very welcoming. The staff stopped what they were doing to invite us in, take us on a tour, and answer the zillion questions we had. Our son immediately fell in love with the class and was a participant 4-5 times a week in the evenings and on Saturday’s. Fast forward to the Spring and we were prompted with the decision to do the traditional Summer Camp for our son, or enroll him in the Summer Program offered at Fort Washington United. We are so glad we went with FWU. Our son (who turned 6 in May) has progressed immensely in the areas of reading, problem solving, communication, public speaking, water safety (swimming), and leadership. The lessons and principles instilled by the staff has turned our son into a responsible, respectful natural leader who can also throw a hell of a punch and follow with a roundhouse kick, but will also help an old lady across the street……..AWESOME STAFF! AWESOME MARTIAL ARTS PROGRAM! Can’t say enough great things……wish I could give them 10 STARS!

Kisha DeSandies Lester: Earlier this spring, I was looking for a martial arts academy for my five year old son, who was about to start kindergarten. My husband and I wanted to help him get used to being about other kids, since he had been in quarantine for over a year with little to no other time to play with kids his age. We also wanted to instill confidence, respect and self-control and believe that mixed martial arts is a good way to achieve that. I had planned on starting our son in a program in the fall, but as I looked for summer camp programs, I discovered Fort Washington United (FWU). Initially, we wanted to make sure that our son could keep up with the summer program and the evening classes. The staff was great is working with us and our son to assess his ability and we were able to register him for 5-6 weeks of summer camp and the daily martial arts classes. Our son LOVES FWU! He enjoys the structure and working with the coaches and all of the moves that he learns each week. He also is making friends with the other students. Because our son doesn’t attend school nearby, we are not enrolled in the after school program, but we would if we could. Martial arts has given our son confidence and he’s excited to practice his moves at home to anyone who will watch! The summer camp was simply phenomenal! Our son loved the weekly themes, lessons and field trips they went on. The coaches taught the kids important values and taught them how to speak up, be respectful, be responsible, and be a good citizen of the academy. We also loved how the kids worked in teams, by age and presented their projects each week. We were blown away that our 5-year-old was doing PowerPoint presentations and building airplanes and coming up with business plans. There is also a wonderful education track during the summer camp week and after-school program to help keep your child learning at their grade level and beyond (if they are able to). This summer camp also prepared him for the social aspects of kindergarten (eating lunch, playing with others, transitions to different activities, keeping up with your personal items, etc.) I read a review about how this program may not be for younger kids. I would say that it would depend on the child. My son has thrived at FWU. He was one of the youngest kids in the summer program and he did great! He also is inspired and motivated by the older kids, and teens who help with the summer camp. I also think that a lot of our kids need to get a little real-world consequences for their actions when they don’t follow the rules. My son is motivated by that and the point system is an appropriate tool in the academy setting. He doesn’t like losing points because other kids on his team aren’t listening, so he tries to be a leader and example, which we like to see. Overall, I have and will continue to recommend FMU to parents. It’s a safe and nurturing place to have your kids. The staff (Steve, Nicole, Karen, Jason, Charles) are all upbeat and keep you informed on what’s going on. I love how Coaches Jason and Charles are with my son and all the kids. We love that Steve and Nicole are veterans and they have made the decision to pour into the lives of kids. Karen is always helpful, pleasant and supportive every time I see her. My husband and I have been really happy with the decision to enroll our son in this program.

Nat Geary: I've trained at UMAA since September 2018, and since then, my growth has been immense. If you're into challenging workouts, this place has you covered (I am down 40 lbs and keeping the weight off). If you're looking for fulfilling afterschool programs for children, this place is dedicated to both mental and physical success, with tutoring and homework support to go along with martial arts instruction. If you are interested in setting and achieving personal goals, I can personally attest that this gym has helped me reach new heights. I never saw myself winning a grappling tournament, but the coaches, staff, and teammates made that a reality. I cannot recommend this place enough . From ownership down to students, this place is all class. It is more than just a gym, it is a community hub.

Dawn Washington: I am the mom of a special needs child. I was very hesitant to put him in martial arts. I’m glad we did, best decision we ever made! Grappling and striking have boosted my sons self esteem. During summer camp, the group went on museum tours. Each week had a educational theme. They learned coding, finance principles and received points for each book they read over the summer. The points could be used for toys and games. Now that school has started, the focus is on homework. I worried the staff wouldn’t be one on one with my son for his studies so I didn’t bother sending his homework. Imagine my surprise when his teacher sent multiplication homework home and my son already knew it! He’d work with staff using Kahn academy. Great place, great staff!!!

Jazmin Simms: I highly recommend UMAA. My son Mason has attended the after school program for almost 2 years now and I could not be more thankful to the coaches and staff. Since attending, Mason has become a lot more confident, disciplined and an overall better student. The coaches and staff care a lot about the kids and always go the extra mile to help whether it’s with training or homework.

Steven Hoang: The United Martial Arts Academy has classes for the entire family! The classes are great for people of all ages that want to learn top rated self defense and get fit! The kids have a ton of fun during classes! I would recommend this gym to anyone again and again!

Charmicielle Goodine: This establishment does not know how to handle primary children. The punishment for a 5 year old should not be the same for a 12 year old. The point system that the children are on is very subjective. And thinking that a 5 year old should have the same responsibility as a 12 year is ridiculous. It is probably a great establishment for older students but not for younger children.

fairlane urbina: My son goes to UMAA to their after school program. The coach never misses a day to update us that my son got picked from school, in the van and when they’re in school. We celebrated my son’s 11th birthday at UMAA and the theme was Nerf Blast. The party was a “BLAST” all kids had a great time and the staffs did a “BLAST” job! I highly recommend this school. Not only they love what they do, but they care the well being of their students.

Jaquan Butler: United Martial Arts Academy is great environment to build a foundation for martial arts. With a diligent staff and wonderful community it is an excellent environment for learning, guaranteed to instill the calmness and confidence needed to succeed.

Tysons City Boxing: what do users think?

James McGartland: This is a real gym. Your experience level does not matter. Whether you’ve been training for a day or ten years, you will get more out of this place than any other in the DMV. They have a month to month membership, or you can pay per class. No contract. The sparring is great here, as is the novice instruction. Dean is a living legend; there’s a reason the reviews are so good!

Edward Wang: Great place to workout and learn how to fight/box/kickbox/etc. It flies a bit under the radar but the two main coaches are amazing and personal training is great for helping you achieve your fitness goals. It's a good place to get built if you want as well and people are friendly. Only it's a bit small so classes tend to be packed depending on which days you choose. Boxing ring and equipment are great and you can buy all the stuff you need there. Beginners are very welcome and classes are separated for different skill groups.

Patrick McGartland: Quality of instruction second to none! There’s something for everyone here. Tyson’s City Boxing is a great place to get a work out in and to meet active people. No contract required! Drop in for a class for just $25 and you get a free pair of hand wraps.

Goht VanDenBrink: The owner, Dean, full experienced with Thai kickboxing from Patana Thailand. I’m a Thai immigrant moving here 3 years ago. Of cause my believe is Thai kickboxing is the best fighting sport. So when I’m looking for fighting skill for my son who is often a target at school. He is love it and Dean knows what he is doing. My down point is it’s little far and traffic around here.

Chris Davidson: Just moved to the area and was a little hesitant to get back into boxing after a very long time off. The staff and classmates are all great here. If you are looking for a gym that will motivate you, get you in shape and teach you good technique, I definitely recommend this gym. Staff is dedicated to the craft, care about their clients success and will meet you at whatever level you are at. Check out the drop in class and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Tram Tran: Classes are great, facility is clean and trainers are all really energetic and friendly! There are classes that is focused on teaching you techniques which is great if you're a beginner or to master your forms.

Huong Tran: Alyssa was a great instructor. She’s patient and kind. We had a great time. Thx

Patrick: Dean's the man. Has classes for/from novice to pro. Great all around workout every time. Wish I still was in the area to attend.

Michael Diaz: From Boxing to MMA to strength & conditioning... Want to compete as a fighter or just train to get in shape, and switch it up.... Tysons City Boxing provides all services.

Liz Louise: Fantastic gym with sense of community over competition. You'll easily feel at home here.

Sugar Ray Leonard Boxing Center: what do users think?

LaRonda Gray: So far I am not impressed. Today was to be my son's first day. We were told to arrive at 2p and ask for his coach. We did so, and were told to come back after 3p because the coach was the only one there and not able to leave the front desk. Getting solid information is a struggle. There is too much back and forth. So far this gym is lacking the professionalism that I expect. UPDATE: I pulled my son out of this place. The lack of respect for parents is horrible.... especially as a female.

Kameelah: They take the time to encourage the best in my children. I have children of both sexes and they push them both in their own special way. The coaches are amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful. I love it! Thinking of joing myself

t Whittington: As a boy I talked about sugar ray non stop. I have so much respect for this champion. When in Hagerstown prison I was introduced to a friend of Sugar Ray. Derrik Holmes. He was the splitting image of champion Leonard. I often think of Holmes and the good talks. This brings me to this awesome gym Sugar Ray Boxing Center. Its the best in the world because the heart of sugar ray. Great History of boxing is the the Boxing Center. The real deal.

Timmey Williams: The staff are very welcoming & eager to help with any and all entering information needed far as new members signing * Looking forward to gaining direct guidelines for Coaches program under USA certification

rodrigo sauno: I love the place I don’t like the new way they change online

J B: Its fairly cheap $50 for 3 months and you can get your own coach for a little extra.

Carolyn Fairfax: Soo Good I am joining with my grandson excellence 🙌👏😍

Alex Maltez: Me and my sons have been boxing here for years and we all love this place. Great coaches and staff!

Kayode Abrams: Reasonably priced at 50 a quarter. Most spacious boxing gym in the area.

Nonya Beeswax: Good Prices Good People love to see all the young girls in there learning technique for self defense

BETA Academy: what do users think?

Ma D: Awesome place for beginners and advanced BJJ lovers. Very friendly people. Good technics. I highly recommended this place who visiting Washington DC also who decided to start practising Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Guys when you browsing different clubs with thoughts about what to choose please go there and you will meet really cool professional people. Good luck everyone. Oss.

Jack Cantlay: The instruction is top notch. Your instructors are amazing and follow a coherent system of training so that each week is a new thing. The gym culture is very friendly and welcoming but I still feel like I can get competitive live rolls. It really matters that your instructors are so friendly. That goes a long way. But they still push me! I love the balance.
Response: Thank you so much Jack, we appreciate that! We pride ourselves on our welcoming community and believe that a strong community fosters growth in our students.

Thuhuong Dao: - Coach to child ratio was excellent. - Coaches did a great job working the room and - working with each child/group. - Introduction/greet for my children’s first class was great and energetic. - Disciplining the students during class was thorough and appreciated. - Dismissal of students was organized (liked how the coach only let the kids go when he say the parents).
Response: HI there! Thank you so much for the review! We appreciate your feedback and we're so happy that you experienced the professionalism of our Kids' coaches!

Tara Trinity: Coach Carlos, coach D, everyone is amazing. We love Beta!!!! My son has come into an environment that supports him and is compassionate as well as disciplined. The diversity is something I was personally looking for, and that’s something that is even more a bonus.

Walter Bayer: Great place for all-levels of Muay Thai and jiu-jitsu enthusiasts. Very beginner-friendly with knowledgeable coaches who will patiently walk you through everything you need to know. After training here for a few sessions, you'll experience the great sense of community they foster. I loved that there was also a weight room to supplement training with strength & conditioning.

Tim .G: We were in DC on vacation and they welcomed us in for open mat, even stayed later to roll. Coach Gabriel was awesome. Awesome facility! Super friendly community! I definitely recommend!

Tyrone Calvin: I’m no strange to BETA academy and every time I go, I leave better than I arrived. Everyone is very friendly and professional. The Brazilian Ju Jitsu class is informative and state of the art in self defense.

CJ Francis: I love the welcoming culture, the high level and clarity of instruction, the daily availability of no gi classes as well as gi. Also the ample amount of time given for both drilling and sparring.

Saron Dessalegn: Friendly Coaches are willing to help and give good instructions!! Definitely recommend for a great education in Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu.
Response: Thank you so much Saron!

Amy Putens: In honesty we could not be more thrilled with our experience with BETA! We have been apart of the BETA community for approximately 2yrs. We started out just being an attendee of their summer program. After summer was over we would drive by often and my daughter would ask- "When do we get to go back to beta?" I knew then that this was where we needed to be. When you have a daughter (who is a girlie girlie) wanting to be apart of something so much bigger than Ballet or gymnastics I was sold. We then signed up for the after school program and we haven't turned back since. The excitement both my children have for their amazing staff and program is the reward for me at the end of the day. Having being I can trust in to guild my children down the right path and for my kids to respect them is 100% why we choose BETA!!!!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU BETA! Thank you for all that you give!!!!!!
Response: Hi Amy, thank you so much for sharing your story with us! It makes us proud to have kids as enthusiastic and motivated as yours in our Kids Program!

Belin Sport & Fitness: what do users think?

Manuel Morillo: I signed up for the six week challenge program with Corey in June with a goal of losing 25lbs. Now after 6 weeks of training and meal prepping, I am that much closer to my goal. I couldn’t make 25lbs due to having less time for outside training, but nonetheless I am extremely happy and pleased with the progress I made and, albeit slowly, continue to make. The program was reasonably priced, even on a student budget, and Corey made the entire process of getting situated easy. Workouts were very intensive and also very well coordinated. If adjustments needed to be made Corey would help every step of the way and do his best to adjust so you can focus on reaching your goal. The added benefit of having an accountability group also helps tremendously when things might seem to get tough. Highly recommend giving Corey a call or a visit, he does great work!
Response: It’s great to hear that you were happy with everything Manuel. Thank you so much for the awesome review!

Hanna Haile: Corey is the best trainer I ever had. This program was amazing for me, I have never felt more accomplished after a work out than when I worked out with Corey. The program is exactly what it says it was and I was able to lose what I wanted to lose and create healthy habits for myself. I would definitely recommend this to all of my friends.
Response: Thank you so much. Glad you’re happy with the results!

Robbie Allen: Corey Belin is the definition of a ninja warrior on and off the field. He genuinely cares about his clients, is extremely professional, and supportive. Moreover, he is a coach, motivator, and pushes you to your full potential. You will definitely see results when you train with Corey. He offers a lot of amazing services for all fitness levels. My personal favorite is his iSpinn class. Forget the bike and get ready to rock out with Corey. He takes you through a high impact workout that’s sure to burn those calories. Trust me when I say, Corey cuts calories (pounds)! Highly recommend!!
Response: Thanks for the recommendations Robbie! It really helps!

Les Frasier: Corey hands down is such an amazing trainer! He pushes you to limits you don’t believe you can achieve. I have tried many trainers but Corey takes it to another level. That spin class is everything!! I can’t get enough and need to sign up for the variety of classes he offers . I have to say I look forward to working out and despite the fact it’s online now, I still feel like I get personalized attention to keep me motivated! Please join take his class you won’t regret it!
Response: We appreciate it Les!

Bethlehem Girma: My experience with Corey's bootcamp has been a positive and rewarding one. If you want results, he offers the necessary structure and guidance to help you achieve them. I first met Coach Corey about 3 months ago after my doctor told me I was overweight and needed to lose weight. Corey does special classes every month and the first classes I attended happened to be yoga. I remember telling him that I hated yoga and would skip it and come back to his night class. Of course, Corey convinced me to stay and give it a try. I did just that and ended up really enjoying the class. In the time that I’ve worked out with him, Corey has pushed me to the next level and never let me quit. I look forward to each workout because I know that I will receive quality coaching that allows me to burn a significant amount of calories by the end of the session. Corey is passionate about helping clients and is committed to empowering them to achieve their goals. I highly recommend Corey to anyone looking to make a lifestyle change and become a better version of themselves.

Jennifer Cardno: Corey at Belin sport & fitness definitely knows what he is doing. The 6week challenge is an awesome program that actually delivers results! I absolutely love the workouts. They are always different and I feel so much stronger. The best part about this program though is the tailored meal plan which isn’t like anything I’ve done before. It’s not a diet at all but more a lifestyle change. I understand now the effects that certain food have on my body and am more conscious of the food choices I make. After doing the 6week challenge I feel like my best self and can’t wait to keep going!! If you are looking for a more healthy lifestyle and are willing to put in the work and have a great time doing it then yes this is the program for you!
Response: Thank you so much for the feedback!

patricia eisner: Corey has been my trainer for over 15 years . And every single class is new and different and challenging. I took spin class without bikes this morning and was reminded how hard I need to work when I take one or corey’sClasses. He is motivating, fun and won’t let you down !!!
Response: Thanks for reviewing Patricia!

A Le: This is by far the best boot camp I have tried in the DC area. I have been going to the boot camp classes for almost a year. I have really noticed the change and improvement in my body. I'm a lot stronger and more toned. Corey Belin who is the personal trainer is a great motivator. Even though it is in a group setting, he makes you feel as if you are getting personal training one on one. Corey is original and always come up with challenging and fun routines so that the classes are never boring. As a bonus, he also works out with you on weekends in preparation for races. Come and try one of his classes and you will be hooked!

Anji Corley: The. Best. Trainer. Ever! Corey and his energy and outgoing personality is one of the best I have ever experienced. I’ve known him for over 20 years and his classes never cease to be boring or make my body feel sore… And wonderful! He is creative, innovative and really wants the best for you you just give him a little time and he will transform your body. His East-good SPIN CLASS WITH NO BIKES it’s been one of my go to for the last 10 years. It is so inventive… It’ll blow your mind oh and 30 minutes you are sweating and you feel good and you can go on about your day.
Response: So happy to be able to help! Thanks for the review Anji!

Naderge Pierre: 6 week Challenge with trainer Corey Belin, was the kick in the butt that I needed to start off my Weight loss journey with a bang. Corey's training technique was inspiring and motivating. He provided support even out side the workout sessions. I was able to learn how to change my eating habits and maximize my workout time to get much more satisfactory results of significant Weight loss and body fat loss. Although my 6 weeks are up, I will continue to work with him as my trainer to even go further with my Weight loss and journey of a healthier mind and body.

TITLE Boxing Club Springfield: what do users think?

Amaria Asghar: Great workouts, coaches and classes. They have flexible class schedules seven days a week and you can drop in whenever. They offer boxing, kickboxing, personal training and yoga so it's a great mix. The workouts will really push you and the coaches care about helping you build technique and grow. I really enjoy being a member and the membership is totally worth everything you get from it!

Matthew Lucas: Best boxing gym in the area!! Plenty of space and excellent coaches. During the pandemic I lost my way and ballooned up to 266 lbs. I changed my diet and hit this gym regularly. 63 days later I lost 47 lbs. Today I weighed in at 205 lbs. It works!

Julia Sh: Great 45min cardio workout, very nice and friendly coaches. I would recommend to sign up for some personal training to learn how to hit the bag, since there’s no time for that in the actual class. My complaint is only having 3 early morning classes (6am) on weekdays and none at all on weekends. More variety (of both early morning classes and the coaches for those classes) would be really nice.

J.R. Lopez: All the coaches are extremely knowledgeable and provide a great workout. The staff is friendly and always willing to help out. If you are looking for a great full body workout and want to learn some boxing skills, this is the place. They have all the support you need for a beginner or an experienced boxer.

Gvanca: Amazing team!! Always a great whole body workout both with boxing and kickboxing! Also the classes are extremely fun and engaging, the 45 minutes go by in a heartbeat. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants to build strength, learn boxing and be in shape!

Joe Rincione: Great classes and all the trainers are friendly and helpful. Both the boxing and kickboxing classes are accessible for people of all ages and fitness levels. Also a really fun way to get your cardio.

Jeonghwan Kim: I love the Title boxing club in Springfield. The Staff and Coaches are so amazing and friendly. All the coaches have different styles of work out so you never feel bored !

Bryan Lochan: Best Staff of All Time Here! Every instructor is a true professional of the craft. So much fighting experience between all of the instructors! I've learned and grown so much with this Title family. Thank you for helping me get back on track with my fitness, but also helping build my confidence in myself. #6Stars#TitleNOVA

Christine Wilkinson: Title Boxing has been a game changer for my health and fitness! I have never had so much fun working out. The front staff is friendly and inviting. All the trainers offer different styles and you never feel like you are taking the same class twice. I especially enjoy taking coach Rico’s classes!
Response: Thank you Christine for your review. I'm glad we are able to deliver an exceptional experience for you and thank you for allowing us to be a part of your health and wellness journey.

Diana Fuentes: My happy place!! There are a variety of classes for different levels, no matter where you are in your physical journey. Staff is welcoming and keep it clean and safe especially during these times. There are different membership plans and they are affordable. I take advantage of mine and go 6x a week plus PT. You will get excellent results. Title has helped and continues to help with my physical journey. I highly recommend Title to anyone looking for a full body workout in a positive environment! I rejoined last year and had no problems transferring my membership to this location due to COVID and location. It was painless and staff was very helpful. In regards to the cancellation reviews/issues: I had cancelled membership a few years back and had no cancellations issues. It's called communication and reading the fine print on the contract. It states what you need to do in regards to the cancellation notice and where to send it to. I've had no problem in either location getting in contact with a staff member via email or telephone. On site, they will take the time to help you out as well.

District Martial Arts | MMA Gym: what do users think?

Jakob: Overall a great gym to train at. It's in a convenient location and offers a variety of disciplines, so you definitely get your money's worth. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming to all. I'd highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to get involved in martial arts.
Response: Thank you Jakob!

Celeste Gee: Great gym, location, and staff! As a newcomer to Muay Thai, and Boxing I was super nervous to sign up for a class, but the coaches were so welcoming and helpful in teaching me the correct form and techniques, especially as a left-hander! The class was so exhilarating, fun, and full of energy that I didn't even realize an hour passed until the class was over. I love when you can get a total body workout without feeling the monotony and boredom of going to the gym. I would definitely recommend this to friends in the area and anyone interested in learning about any of the martial arts styles they offer. Thank you District Martial Arts!
Response: Thank you Celeste!

Tiana Bsnjk: Honestly a pretty fantastic place. No matter what level you are, the instructors work to accommodate you. Beginner? No problem. Someone from DMA will 100% work with you to get you up to speed on technique and style. They're also incredibly warm and welcoming, friendly, and reassuring. You won't feel out of place here - definitely recommend DMA out of any other place in the area if you're serious about self defense. They'll make sure you're trained properly!

Drew Ehlers: Positive: ProfessionalismThe classes that I attended at District were great! BJJ, Boxing, Muay Thai- all professionally coached, and the group of men that I trained with were exceptional. Trainers and Participants all were very helpful in making sure everyone was progressing.
Response: Thank you Drew!

Rachel Wang: The community at DMA was incredibly welcoming even for beginners -- people remembered my name and gave me helpful tips from the very first class I attended. Not only do they have boxing and muay thai classes, they also have weekly yoga, which I really appreciated. Definitely recommend checking out this community, even if you’re a beginner like me!
Response: Thank you Rachel!

V M: Its a great gym to train a variety of martial art disciplines: bjj, boxing, muay thai, judo, wrestling, etc. The classes are offered throughout the day and on the weekends. The instructors are very knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to help. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I'd highly recommend this gym to anyone who wants to train martial arts or is just looking to get in shape.
Response: Thank you V M! Great having you at DMA!

Gerald Bryant: Pros: The gym offers a good variety of martial arts with instructors that are very knowledgeable and lead great classes.Cons: Gym is smaller so make sure to schedule classes enough ahead of time to ensure a slot in the class.

Andrew Turner: My girlfriend and I attended a free trial class the other day. At first we were both nervous and confused, but this was partly because we showed up late and without signing our waivers yet. When we jumped in we felt a bit out of place, but that changed quickly. I have a small amount of experience but my girlfriend has next to none but we both found the MMA class to be accommodating (especially with the kind and patient instructor). Overall, a wonderful environment with quality equipment, great people, and excellent instruction.
Response: Hi Andrew, It was a pleasure to have you and your girlfriend at our school. Thank you for coming!

Laura Gross: Positive: QualityI really enjoy my classes at this gym, everyone is so welcoming. For a new person just getting into martial arts all my instructors were super supportive and provided clear direction. Whether you are looking to change up your workouts or learn a new skill I would highly recommend giving this gym a try.
Response: Thank you Laura!

Gori Olufon: I go to District Martial Arts for Brazilian Juijitsu, BJJ and it is excellent. The coaches are knowledgeable and encouraging and the facility is beautiful. I’m really looking forward to the new Judo class! Here’s to another amazing year!
Response: Thank you Gori! It’s a pleasure to have you part of the DMA community.

Crawford Training and Fitness: what do users think?

JaeandMamaEats: My son attended the facility when the location was at the Laurel Boys and Girls club. Mr. Crawford was good with the kids but I was tired of walking in each time my son had a class seeing him doing the same exact thing over and over. I wanted to see different techniques from time to time. However, I really decided that I would not reinstate my son when I dropped him off for class one day and left to sit in the car until class was over but when I walked in close to class being over I see my son age 8 at the time sitting in the corner watching the trainer working with the older kids. Mr. Crawford was out on this day. My son was the youngest one there for that class. However, I walked in questioning my son why he was sitting in the corner and not doing what the other kids where doing?. My son tells me "because he told me to sit here" Now I am trying to determine how long he been sitting in the corner doing absolutely nothing. After the trainer determined that I was the parent fussing, he then wants to call my son over to work with him 3 minutes before class is over then the trainer say "God Job" to my son. Good job? doing what? sitting in the corner possibly for the entire session of class? I could have taken my son to the playground for free if they were going to have him sit. Good deal as far as the cost but I would suggest not signing up younger kids. They will not take the time or put in the effort working with them as they do with the older kids.

Noelle Michel: The morning boot camp is great. I come out of there every time feeling like I got a great workout in. The group atmosphere is encouraging and Coach will take the time to make sure you are doing the exercise right. If you feel you need to modify he also lets you know what you can do if its too much.

Eric McCloud: I go Monday-Friday at 9:00 am until about 11th. Me. Crawford is a great teacher and there’s so much I can say about him but you’ll have to see for yourself. It’s a great experience.

Marie Artis: My son FB Jordan Hill @baby_Ali23 on IG SNAP HAS LEARNED ALOT HE TEACHES ME ALL THE TIME WHAT HE KNOWS AND WOKING ON SOON TO BE THE CHAMP 🏆 THIS MR.CRAWFORD

Thomas Phillips: This guy is a master at getting results!

Zyrah Johnson: This place us the best place to be this is the best of the best

TITLE Boxing Club Rockville: what do users think?

Sonia Puri: Today was my third class I think and first time with Gerard and I think that was the best workout till date. I am utterly clueless with boxing terminology but I’m getting there. I like when they demonstrate before every exercise and I can see my confidence growing slowly because a gym is a very intimidating place for me. I love how class is split warm up, workout, core and streching at the end. It never gets boring and feels like a good workout but I’m not dying so that I don’t want to not come back again :) I heard they’re adding more instructors and classes. If anyone is considering this place for a workout, to stay active in the winter, just for fun… this place is amazing. Plenty of parking, everyone is wearing a mask entire time so extremely safe and great workout with great music. Totally recommend it 10/10.
Response: Sonia, thanks for your review! So awesome to hear that our trainers mix it up for you and we look forward to seeing you at your next class!

Delores Perez: Love this gym. It’s very spacious and has so many options to get you back on track with your fitness goals.
Response: Christina, thanks for your review! We’re so pumped that our workouts have been great and we look forward to seeing you at your next class.

Ken Beecher: Joined a few months ago and really enjoying it. The classes are great for all ages, shapes, and abilities. Additionally the coaches are very friendly and truly care about giving you the best experience and workout.
Response: Ken, thanks for your review! So awesome to hear that our trainers mix it up for you and we look forward to seeing you at your next class!

Jessica Peraza: I really like it. High intensity but not rushed if you can't handle it. They encourage you to go at your pace or adjust as needed. They are social distancing and wearing masks. They take temperatures upon entrance and there's plenty parking. Good music and I haven't gotten any 'odd' vibes. Might want to bring a mat for the floor exercises. Kids' class gets water breaks. Bathrooms are open. Lockers are not(covid). They sell gloves, wraps, bags, clothing, and drinks. I totally recommend
Response: Jessica, thanks for your killer review! It’s awesome to hear that our classes are pushing your to your limits and that our members make it easy for you to come back. We hope to see you back again soon!

Austin Mack: Save your money and read the contract. They’ll say you can cancel anytime, but you actually have to physically go in to cancel. If you cancel and not go in they will send a debt collector after you and say you signed a contract- even if you haven’t used their service since you canceled.
Response: Hi Austin, I am so sorry to hear about your negative experience. If you are willing, please reach out to our team so we can work towards a resolution. We would appreciate the opportunity to make things right!

Todd A: This is an update from my previous review. Still love the place. Great personal training (again thank you Jessica!) and the classes are still a great workout to. Each instructor has their own style but all of them make sure their class is challenging and fun. You workout at your own pace and nobody judges you. Its a very warm place (and not just when the windows are fogged up from the workouts). Staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome.
Response: Todd, thank you for your review! It's awesome to hear that our personal training and classes have been great and that our trainers mix it up to keep it fun. We hope to see you back soon!

Aaron White (Aaron): Update (2/21): I love this place. They managed to stay open in some capacity throughout the pandemic. Bags are wiped down between classes and the place always looks and smells clean. I've settled into a routine of taking around 4-5 classes per week, usually in Rockville but sometimes the North Bethesda location, and am completely hooked. It's a great workout. Cardio for 7 minutes to start, 8 rounds of boxing that last 3 minutes then a minute of cardio/rest in between, and finally 7 minutes of core exercises. The best part is still the people. The instructors are all patient, kind, and well-trained. The gym just has a great, small business atmosphere in which the customers are the focus. I always feel like the owner wants to keep earning my business even though I've been a customer for over a year now. Seeing some of the same faces in the classes during the week provides a nice sense of comradery during the pandemic at a time when my social life is non-existent. Everyone is just swinging and sweating and trying to get in shape. In a few months months I'll be in the best shape I've been in for many years and it's so much more fun than a treadmill, weight lifting, riding a bike, etc. I'm so happy I decided to join as it's been life changing for me. Original review: Such a great workout and a great place. Excellent instructors. Very clean and professional. The owner and the staff are all super friendly. I feel good about spending my money there. Every class is a little different and all are great exercise. My favorite way to work out by far.
Response: Hi Aaron, we're happy to hear that our workouts are your favorite way to workout! We appreciate you taking the time to update this review and shout out our health and safety measures. Thanks for being a member of our TITLE Fam! See you in the club soon.

Jessica Gleason: I wasn't sure what to expect when I tried a class with my daughter (11), but we both loved it so much, we signed up for a family plan on the spot. I was looking for a way to change up my workout routine and this has been an awesome addition that the whole family enjoys. The classes are at convenient times, the workouts are intense (but easy to modify for an out-of-shape preteen), and the instructors are great. Every instructor has been friendly and helpful, checking form during class and being receptive to questions. We love TITLE!
Response: Thanks for your review! We've worked hard to make our boxing club welcoming for everyone while providing great workouts. It's awesome to hear that we have accomplished this goal. Thank you for sharing your experience, Jessica! We look forward to seeing you in your next boxing class!

John Scott: Took my first boxing class ever at Title Boxing class and had a really great workout. There was a lot of energy in the room and the instructor was very motivating. As a first time client, I received a lot of attention from the staff on helping me wrap my hand wraps, and the basic positions of boxing. I only wish the prices were a little lower, but I will definitely be coming back in the near future.
Response: John, thanks for your review! It's great that your workouts have been awesome and that our trainers have been energetic. We look forward to seeing you the next time you're ready to hit the heavy bag.

N. B.: Title has a nice variety of instructors. They each have their own style and personality. I had a favorite after my first few weeks there. Everyone is friendly (staff and peers). It is a fun, safe and vibrant environment. I've never been to a 5:45am class but I like that it's an option!
Response: N.B., thanks for your review! It's awesome to hear that you had a great experience at our club. See you again soon!
