Adams Morgan Animal Hospital: what do users think?

Josh Griff: First time bringing my dog here and had a good experience. The doctor seemed to know what was wrong with my dog and his infection cleared up within 24 hours of treatment. Making an appointment was easy and you get seen in a reasonable time. I am glad I was able to go back to see the vet with my dog because some places do not allow that currently.

Joseph Miller: My wife and I had to take our cat for an emergency trip to another vet hospital in early February where we received the unfortunate news that our cat had cancer. We had an already scheduled annual check up with Adams Morgan Animal Hospital later that month. During the visit the doctor spent 20 minutes with us going over the X-rays, scans, and blood work. Afterwards we decided we would take her home and let her enjoy her final days in her normal environment. Flash forward to this past Friday when we noticed our cat had taken a turn for the worse and we knew it was time. When we contacted Adams Morgan Animal Hospital I explained the situation and they could not have been more accommodating! Even with their fully booked schedule they made arrangements to see her right away. During our difficult time Adams Morgan Animal Hospital was there for us and we will forever be grateful.

Amy Lee: Pretty good! Nice helpful staff. A little less attentive to the nervousness of my dog as I would have hoped but still great care. I’ll be back.

Kaitlyn Stovall: I brought my cats here for over six years, seeing Dr. Boone (Jr) and Dr. Madden several times each. Vet care - I was always pleased with their attention to the animals and advice given to me, especially initially as a very nervous, probably over-eager first-time cat owner. Both doctors and vet techs seemed to remember my cats and have a way with calming them. Office staff (because there are several negative reviewers on this point) - On occasion over several years people may not have been overly cheery at busy times but they were always professional and patient in explaining prices and then evolving coronavirus prevention measures, and they always worked hard to fit me in when one of my pets was sick - I never had to find an emergency or other vet during business hours. I was sad to have to find a new vet when I moved recently, but the office staff were very responsive and helpful in transferring records. Prices - reasonable for the neighborhood.

Michelle McKeever: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, ValueMy cat, Hope, needed boosters and an annual check up and I am SO glad I went to Adams Morgan Animal Hospital. Everything was easy and affordable and Hope left happy for a cat that had to get her shots. I so appreciate this place!

Sulzhan Bali: I got to know about Dr Boone through word of mouth ( a friend takes his dog there) and my new pup loves going to this vet. The staff are really well informed and provide a good balance of loving care, preventative tips, and value. The staff remembers all dogs, and I greatly appreciate that. For example, once when I had a question about my pup and I called in to ask, the next time I called to book her vaccine appointment, they even asked me how she was doing. Dr Boone had come out to answer all my questions patiently on our first visit, which I was most grateful for.

Lucky Barbieri: The team is wonderful and very helpful. Took care of my kitty in no time. Also boots the cat runs the show there haha. Huge fan

Ceterisbearibus: Their phone system has had issues on an almost consistent basis which makes it very difficult to get in contact with them. Today their phone system said it is down because it is July 4th (it is September 13th). What if there was an emergency and you needed to contact them? Unacceptable, I’m going to be looking for a new vet that can be reliably contacted.

Kaitlyn Marshall: These amazing people fit me in at the last possible moment and took fantastic care of my cat Oliver. I found out he had a bladder blockage and they did everything for him. I couldn’t go to the animal urgent care facility and they undoubtedly saved his life. I will be making this his new primary care vet. Can’t recommend enough!

Collins Hospital for Animals: what do users think?

Nathan Lapin: It was easy to make an appointment with Collins hospital for animals. They followed COVID-19 procedures ensuring safety for both themselves and us, as well as our pet. They came out and got our pet and called us when they were almost done. Then they had us watching how they trim our pets nails, which is really helpful going forward. Watching them with our pet made us feel like he was in good hands. They were gentle and kind with our pet, which put us at ease. This is definitely a prime place to take an animal to the veterinarian! I highly recommend.

Samantha Horn: I have taken both my dogs to Collins since moving to DC. They have affordable vet care. The staff is very caring. The vets are empathetic and truly care about the animals. They have even referred me to AFFORDABLE outside places when something could not be performed in house. 10/10!
Response: Thank you so much for the review!

Stephane Carnot: i have been going to Collins Hospital for the last 10 years as they are near my house. every time you leave them a message even for an emergency they do not call back. I call them last week because one of my dogs was having a huge growth on is face that was painful that appeared in the last 2 days. it was a teeth infection. luckily there is Friendship hospital that helped me and my dog out.
Response: I am sorry about your experience. I would like to assure you that we always call back clients who leave messages. Sadly sometimes messages are just dead air or total silence. Not sure why that happens but it does, daily. I believe your voice mail was one of those. Again, I am sorry you had a bad experience but grateful that FHA was able to care for your pet in a timely fashion.

Christine Giglio: Thank you Dr. Jay and staff for taking care of our new pup! We were able to fly safely and calmly with lil Jib. He slept in my arms during the entire flightWith love, Christie & Brad🐾

Tisha Mondal: My experience here was great. It was my first time going to a vet after adopting my cat Marbles. Dr. Fischer was wonderful and very attentive to Marbles. She took her time to explain things I needed to know & took a lot of care in answering the questions I had. Unfortunately, I had to change to another animal hospital near my house as this place is a bit far. I thought that in cases of emergencies, it perhaps would be better to have a clinic nearby. Collins Animal Hospital is still the best and I wish it were closer.
Response: Thank you so much for the lovely review. Sorry to see you go but glad you had a good experience with us.

Wendy Wilson: I am so pleased to have found Collins Hospital. I switched over a year ago from my previous vet, because of proximity - one of my cats hates car rides. I have had very good service and have been especially impressed by Drs. F and C. When I lost a cat to illness last year, these women were professional and compassionate, two important qualities in a vet. This morning, one of the staff members managed to squeeze me in for a last minute appointment, after I discovered a sore on one of the cats. Finally, for DC - and in particular - Upper Georgetown, their services are reasonable.

Annaliese Nurnberg: Love that Collins treats exotics, like my pet rabbit. My poor bun had a congested nose and had been sneezing a lot, so I decided to take her in. This was my first visit to Collins, and I was impressed. Dr. LaPorta was very nice and explained everything so clearly. My rabbit usually gets very stressed out when she has to go to the vet, but she seemed far less freaked out than usual. We got the treatment she needed without spending too much time or money!

Carly Whitmer: We had the most fantastic experience with Dr. Cabaniss with our two guinea pigs. She was in no rush, took her time explaining everything and made our two girls feel right at home and comfortable. Her tech, Darcy, was also great and was gentle and comfortable. We highly recommend Collins Animal Hospital. Wish we could give it 6 stars!
Response: Thank you so much for the review. We are glad Noogie and Scruffles had such a nice visit. We look forward to seeing them in the future.

MICHAEL WALLOVER: I own a rabbit. What many would consider a normal pet is actually considered exotic by veterinarians. Finding Collins Hospital was great. Not only do they know how to handle animals, but they explain things very well and have nail clipping appointments. There is no question that I will be heading back to there many more times.

Animal Clinic of Anacostia: what do users think?

Maria Knatt: This is the only place I take my pets. The staff is wonderful and many people bring there pets here because of the excellent service and prices are reasonable compared to most clinics. It stays busy but the wait is worth it. The doctor and staff is phenomenal !!

Mallory Uzel: Two days before Christmas, while visiting from out of town, my dog tweaked his leg and was quite uncomfortable. The receptionist here was so kind on the phone and let us know they closed early that day but could fit us in if we were able to get over there quickly. I had called 15 other clinics who were all booked out even for emergencies (understandably, with the pandemic and staffing issues all places are experiencing) so I was already so appreciative they were able to see my poor ouchy old man! The lovely, kind ladies at the animal clinic of Anacostia were able to fit my pup in quickly after arrival, do a quick exam to confirm nothing was majorly wrong, get meds on board, and they were so sweet to me, his worried mom throughout! Their prices were also extremely reasonable, and I witnessed them provide the same kind care and attention to another gentleman in the lobby with an ill dog as we were on our way out (the staff was staying late to make sure that pup was cared for). So many thanks to Dr Ashley and the rest of the ladies, and I can’t recommend their kind care enough!

Jovan Perry: The staff is very friendly and compassionate towards the animals. As well the prices are very reasonable. I really enjoy the care that my animals receive when I take them their!!

Sunyetta Thornton: Dr Ashley office is the best with working with animals and taking care of her pets thank you for being such a caring and loving animal vet I have been coming to you for years getting my dogs treated and the pricing is not bad ☺️

Angela Baker-Fonville: The doctor is so good with Max we have been going there for 10 yrs and I would not change a thing. She is a great Veterinarian

Sarah Tilahun: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, Value5 stars all the way. I started taking my pet to them as soon as we got him at 2 1/2 months. They have ALWAYS been professional, courteous, & reliable. They give great resources and are willing to answer all the questions of a new pet owner. Their prices are way more than fair. As long as you get there early you will be seen.

Turquoise Afro: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, ValueDr. Ashley is wonderful. This is the best animal clinic in DC. Very ethical, compassionate with intuitive advice based on decades of experience not motivated to make a quick buck by recommending risky procedures for the bottom line. A breath of fresh air. 10 stars.

Tina Graham: Dr.Ashley is the best! She treats my fur babies great each visit! Prices are great..:)

Zachary Denney: Positive: Professionalismwhen I arrived today they were able to squeeze me in for my puppy that was having breathing issues. They were very nice and made me feel at ease. My puppy is much better but I appreciate them helping her at the last minute
Response: Zachary, Thank you so much for the kind review. So glad to hear that we were able to help!

Olga F: I haven’t been here yet because when I called in the front desk manager immediately cut me off as I was trying to explain my issue and said “have YOU ever been here before?” When I said no, she said the wait was 4-6 weeks. I said that unfortunately I couldn’t wait that long and started to say that I’ll check with other places to which she responded “well that’s the wait for everybody!” I think City Paws can benefit from some nicer staff.
Response: Hello Olga, We are disappointed to read of your review. Would you please call us at 202-232-7297 and ask to speak to the practice manager. Best, CityPaws

David M: Doctors are amazing. Support staff leaves a little to be desired. On my last visit, the assistant said she was pregnant and couldn’t pick up my (petite 10 pound dog) so she decided she would drag my already scared baby across the lobby down the hall. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk nurse, she argued with me rather than apologize.
Response: David, We are disappointed to read of your review. Please know this is not the standards we expect of our staff. We will have someone reach out to you today to learn more. Best to you, CityPaws

Cierra Piggott: I do not usually write reviews but the outstanding service my dog received today deserves recognition! She got to a small chicken bone outside and although I got most of it out of her mouth, she was acting uncomfortable and like she still had something stuck in the back of her throat. I first called Friendship emergency vet and they said they had a 1-3 hour wait (plus it is a 20 minute drive). I was about to leave but my husband called City Paws and told them the situation. They said bring her right in. I got there abt 10 minutes later and the staff was waiting outside the front door to meet us. They took my dog back immediately for the doctor to examine her, while I gave check-in info as we had never been there before. They called me back to speak to the doctor 5 minutes later. The vet was extremely smart and friendly. Overall the service blew me away. Everyone from start to finish was so nice and made me feel at ease. My dog perked up significantly and was back to her normal self before we left. I was back home in way less than 1 hour from when she even ate the bone. Thank you!!
Response: Thank you for the wonderful review. We are so pleased we were able to be there for you all. Best, Stephanie

Aerica Shimizu Banks: I’ve been a longtime client, since 2016 but this will likely be the last time I go out of my way to take my dog here. I scheduled an appointment a week out for time sensitive issues and got on the cancellation list. Was told there were several cancellations today, and rearranged my schedule to drive across town from deep in Southeast to make it. Rush hour starts at 3pm now apparently so hit a ton of traffic but still make it right at the advertised grace period of 15min . Call to check in and am placed on hold for 15 total minutes as we wait outside just to be told to reschedule and that the grace period has changed to 10min. Was I ever notified of this change? No. I received no call to confirm or check in if I was running late. Even the signage at the front desk says 15min grace period. So, two hour roundtrip for nothing. I thought the higher prices were worth paying for the appointment availability and attentiveness but those qualities no longer exist. Not to mention previous requests for medical records were ignored. Infuriating waste of time.
Response: Hi Aerica, We are disappointed to read of your experience. Would you mind giving us a call so that we may learn more.

Murray Penner: I highly recommend CityPaws. Their staff are helpful and professional, and their doctors are compassionate, kind, and knowledgeable. The only negative experience I ever had was having to wait a fairly long time for a nail trim for my cat but it was during COVID and because if a staff shortage so it’s understandable. It’s a quality and well-planned practice that I have complete confidence in. I especially appreciate Courtney up front who is always helpful and efficient.
Response: Thank you so much for the kind review. We will share with our team!

J sam: They are very professional and friendly. The veterinarian very willing to answer all the concerns regarding the health of our baby. Thank you city pawn. With affection Sophia the husky❤

Palisades Veterinary Clinic: what do users think?

Tabitha Asher: This clinic’s customer care and service has unfortunately declined as the years continue. I attempted to call and see if there was any prescription food in stock I could stop by and grab as I have done this before and would not receive my online order in time. I am leaving town tonight and will not have enough food for the next 2 days to leave for my cats. First I was told that they do not have the food but that I could order online but would need to get an exam as my cats are less than 1 week past due for their annual exam. I explained that this was never explained to me before that an exam is required for the food, but I don’t have a problem bringing them I just cannot today as I am leaving town and really need food for them so they don’t go hungry. The girl interrupted me as I tried to explain this to her saying it doesn’t matter because I need an exam. Complete lack of compassion or empathy for my situation. Less than 1 week past due should not keep me from getting the food they have been eating for the past year. Additionally, I asked for my cats records as I would be terminating our relationship and for a refund of a fecal sample that was not “good” at their last exam. I said that I would at their next appointment. But since I will not be going back I have asked for a refund and one has not been rendered. My records were sent but with no apology or acknowledgment of any sort. Yes, I should have planned better, but you made me feel helpless today and it clearly came across you did not care about the situation I was in or that my cats would not have food. And to top it all off, the food I had ordered online, they made sure to decline it! And again, not communication or acknowledgment . I am a professional myself where I care for human patients. This is not how you treat people who pay you a high price for you services.

Laura Carey: We have come here for several years for our cat as it is very convenient. Also, the groomer is fantastic! Our cat recently got a wonderful lion cut which really helps keep him clean (and apparently our cat was totally happy during the process and didn’t require sedation)!
Response: Thank you for the positive review. We are very glad to hear that you are happy with our Groomer. We will be sure to pass review on to him and look forward to seeing you again soon.

District Veterinary Hospital Eastern Market: what do users think?

Chris Atkins: They were great! My dog had an excellent experience and he was really well taken care of. If your pet ever needs care make an appointment here. One of the best vets in Capitol Hill

Christel Schmidt: My dog Hartley overcame his fear of the vet office with the help of our favorite tech Auntie Dev. Now Hartley loves to go visit there even when he doesn’t have an appointment. She even has him acting brave for shots & exams. It’s a real love story!

Kelly Ryan: If I could give more stars, I would. Dr. Evans and crew are amazing. We started taking our French Bulldog puppy here as soon as he came home and have been nothing short of amazed at the quality care, support, and customer service. It’s easy to book an appointment, they communicate clearly before each visit, and follow up to check in on our pup afterwards. Most importantly, they are so very supportive, understanding, and offer great advice. Really impressed at every level!
Response: Hi Kelly! Thank you for the kind words and support! The crew works hard every day to provide the best care and service. I will share your warmth with everyone in our morning meeting tomorrow. Many thanks for the love.

Haley: I must say that I really appreciate this practice. The staff at District Vet Eastern Market have helped me keep my beloved pitbull happy and healthy, despite his chronic skin issues. Dr. Evans especially has been the primary care provider for my pup, and she has gone above and beyond. I trust them. They rock. 100% recommend.
Response: Thank you for the kind words and support! Dr. Evans is AWESOME. Many belly rubs.

Alexandra Champion: Our pets have been patients of District Vets for years and we are so happy with the care our dogs have received there. It had been a few years since we lost our last dog and since we had been into the office. (Dr. Teich and Dr. Evans were amazing through that very difficult time). We recently adopted a 2 year old pointer and brought him in for his first check up. We were so pleased to find that the practice is as awesome as ever. Dr. Evans, Chantelle, and the entire team were so sweet and thorough throughout our pup’s appointment, patiently showed us how to administer ear medication (Chantelle works magic), promptly returned test results, and even reached out a few days later to check in to see how our pup was doing. It is extremely evident that everyone at the practice is not only very knowledgeable, but also truly cares about their patients. We are so grateful for everything they do!

Dupont Veterinary Clinic: what do users think?

Marcela Pineda: If I could give 0 stars, I would. My WORST NIGHTMARE! Back in 2020, on a 6th or July, we came with our HEALTHY, HAPPY AND LOVED Yorkshire Terrier- (Cocky) because he had been “acting weird” for the past few hours… he had vomited the night before and was coughing which never happened to him and so we decided to bring him in. As covid was going strong, we were not allowed to go in with him, Dr. MAVERICH took him in, he said his coughing was due to “stomach issues” “nothing to worry about” my sister and I insisted that he double checked as it wasn’t a regular occurrence for him however, again “nothing to worry about” prescribed him some cerenia “for his vomit” and painkillers. However, little did we know that this misdiagnosis and malpractice from this place would lead us to say goodbye to our best friend forever. Hours later, we called because he didn’t seem to get better, same response…We decided to go to the ER at another hospital and they did an RX and found out he had aspiration pneumonia (fluids in his lungs) which they said was obvious by the symptoms described, he was left there in a incubator for hours trying to reverse all the time we had lost from visiting Dupont Veterinary Clinic. It wasn’t possible. absolutely veterinary negligence/malpractice. It went against standard of care, as they didn’t care enough to throughly rule out anything other than guessing “stomach issues” and now my dog is DEAD. Took me two years to be able to write a review, as I am still mourning his death and feel shame for trusting this place and not trusting my gut feeling when I knew something other than what was diagnosed was going on. A tragedy and every pet parent’s WORST nightmare. No one deserves this pain, trusting professionals to MURDER one’s loved pet, not to mention the psychological distress caused on us. Will NEVER EVER recommend Dupont Veterinary Clinic to Anyone.
Response: We are very sorry for the traumatic experience you and family went through. No one should have to go through that. Unfortunately, recommended diagnostics were declined, which would have provided our staff with important information. This inhibits our ability to create a full treatment plan. In our field, the more information we received, the better we can treat our patients. I am not passing any fault on to you. Clients deny aspects of our treatments plans often. But to say that we didn't care or try is something we cannot stand for.

kristi viies: I have been taking my cat and dog there and the veterinarians have been nice, and the staff as well, until recently. Due to the pandemic and all the new puppies they are probably swamped, so I haven’t been able to get an appointment and have been going to Friendship Animal Hospital and VCA SouthPaws. I did, however, take my pup there this morning for wellness exam. I was late, walked in and apologized and said I had an appointment. The woman at the front desk said if you are 15 minutes late, you will have to reschedule. No good morning, no nothing. I looked at the time, it was barely 10 minutes. 7:38/39 instead of 7:30. I could have been the first customer. She left and meanwhile another member of staff walked in, very friendly (5 stars for her), said hello to my dog and checked me in. The first woman returned and said the exam fee is 75, but I would have to pay $150. Or that I can reschedule. I understand, rules are rules. Just be a bit nicer about it? Like sorry but I’m afraid you have to reschedule? However, it is safe to say she was rude. Bedside manners are important. I would expect a veterinarian office (a place full of cute cats and dogs) to have friendly people. I understand, clients can be difficult as well, but so often I see the opposite. So I’m going to a different vet now.

Kayla Cross: Today I was walking my dog and he started pulling on his leash. I was confused before I realized we were across the street from Dupont Circle Veterinary Clinic. My pup loves the people at the clinic so much he WANTS to go to the vet! It shows how well the staff takes care of him. As for quality of care, he’s gone here since he was 9 weeks old - they got him fully vaccinated on schedule during a very busy time and have taken in him for same day appointments when I have concerns. The clinic also did his neutering procedure and he healed quickly with no complications. He primarily sees Dr. Jones, who is extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly answers all my questions. I hope the clinic continues to expand their use of apps like VitusVet and online based appointment/contact systems. All in all, five star experience!
Response: Thank you for the positive review. Our staff really appreciates it. We are very happy that we have been able to provide Oscar with high quality medical care and for yourself excellent customer service. We look forward to seeing you and Oscar again.

Adrian Palma: The staff and vets are professional, attentive, and genuinely care about your pet. However, do think twice before buying any medication directly from them. A generic drug they just prescribed for my dog cost me $70+ at the DuPont Vet Clinic, while online sources price the same drug and quantity at $20. I support local businesses and understand that local prices will inevitably be higher, but this clinic’s med prices should not be 3.5x higher than other pharmacies. Again, this is a great place to get care for your pet, but please do your research on medicine costs before handing over your credit card to the receptionist.

Doug Deming: Franc has made a complete recovery and is back to her loving, playful activities. Dr. Blalock was professional, knowledgeable, kind, and courteous to Franc and us. She is a rare doctor which has all of those attributes. Furthermore, the entire staff was friendly and helpful during our visit.
Response: Thank you for the positive review. We are so happy that Franc is doing well and that you were happy with the care our entire staff provided. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Taylor lewis: Critical: QualityVery disappointed in the level of care from DuPont vet. We have a very anxious rescue, and I would have expected staff to be more kind and not label her as "bad" as I expect more from animal caregivers. We will not return, and would not recommend if you want to feel you can trust your vet to take kind care of your pet.

Kwame Joseph Licensed Realtor: Terrible and rude customer service. Whomever I spoke to have an insulting habit of talking down to you. I cannot and will never recommend this place. The sad thing I used to live down the street from them and I went there out of convenience. How we I cannot recommend becusee they do not know how to talk to their customers!
Response: I am sorry that you had a poor experience. Unfortunately we are not able to provide any goods to patients who have not had a examination with a veterinarian in the last year, or who have overdue diagnostics. This was the case here. Administering preventatives to a patient with overdue diagnostics can be harmful, causing adverse reactions.

District Veterinary Hospital Brookland: what do users think?

Olga F: I come here a lot and the staff and the doctors are really nice and take good care of my cat. Where they can improve is their organizational skills. I sometimes come in and no one notifies the vet techs that I’ve arrived after I check in. Sometimes no one responds to my emails. Sometimes multiple people respond to my same email. Other than that I am very happy.

HM Bush: They are probably one of the better vet offices in DC. I use to see Dr. Walker with my first dog (my dog passed away some years ago) and my experience was amazing. I now have a dog and cats and no Dr. Walker. I will say the prices seem to have gone up a little and service down a little. There seem to be more services/costs added on, to the point where I’ve spent an extra $100 - $200 on who knows. I hate to complain about prices because their service is still better than other offices that cost the same/more and the vets are nice. Front desk staff are always great! I’ve visited so many other vet offices (due to having an elderly dog with issues) in DC with my first dog, and this is the only place I’ve been happy with.

dani ro: They are simply the best. They are friendly and pet lovers with amazing follow up an spirit to help. We are moving from DC to Hong Kong (which has one of the worlds most strict rules for pets) and they helped us during the whole process.. from buying a microchip they don’t manage (ordering one just for us) to hundreds of certificates. Can’t thank enough y the whole team. Highly recommend them

Samantha Mara: Dr. Tripp, his vet tech, and the front desk staff were all wonderful, helpful, and answered all my questions as a nervous dog mom. Contact with the office prior to the appointment was also easy and straightforward. Would recommend to all my pet parent friends!

Anna Elizabeth: I used to love this location. Dr. Dan talked to my dog more than he talked to me and I was so happy about that. The last two times I’ve gone they make it really challenging to get meds from anywhere else. Their prices for meds are 10x what’s available on the market, so I’m sure they make a huge profit. If you don’t buy the Rx from them they are VERY reluctant to approve it anywhere else, which is really unethical in my opinion. And it ultimately harms the animals as we can’t all afford the $10/pill prices they charge.
Response: Hi - Can you send me a quick note through the front desk email? I'd like to see where the hiccups occurred with you. Phone confirmations to pharmacies, especially several big chain pharmacies, have given us serious problems with the pharmacists filling prescriptions wrong! We do like to use written prescriptions to help prevent this problem. We really try to not make it difficult. Drop me a note and let's discus and we can see how we can make it easier for you. dt,dvm

Gregg Moreland: District Veterinary has been with me, first with my aging shipoo several years ago when I moved to DC, and with my Shih Tzu puppy now. They helped with end of life activies and new puppy wellness (during a pandemic). I recommend District Veterinary Hospital to everyone who asks.

Colin Bill: Love this vet and highly recommend! Anastasia has been so kind and patient with me and my husky 🦊. Thanks Anastasia! 💖

Denise Jones: Jiggy, my dog had to be euthanized yesterday. He loved going there. He was very ill and treated like a king. I love how they made his last day beautiful. My thanks for all they do!

Inga A: The staff will go above and beyond to make things right for your furry friends! Dr. Jacobson is amazing!

Atlasvet: what do users think?

MJ Kass: They’re super friendly here. My cats were well cared for. There was no pressure for my cats to do what the vet told them. One of my kitties (pictured) is very shy and was coaxed with delicious treats that she definitely appreciated. The techs didn’t even pick them up unless I was okay with it. I can tell they want my animals to live long

Loana Caballero: We absolutely LOVE AtlasVet. The very first time I visited, the front desk greeted us with excitement. Since then, I have visited the office multiple times and the treatment has remained consistent, especially from Zain! He is always going the extra mile to ensure the check in and check out process is done efficiently and stress free. Dr. Zaritsky performed a dental surgery for my 13 year old dog, who was suffering from severe dental disease and the results were better than I hoped for! Their wonderful Tech Manager, Traycie, followed up with me every step of his post surgery and made Caramelo’s recovery a priority. It has been about a month since the surgery and he is now eating kibble again, even with his gummy smile! Dr. White saw my one year old labrador retriever who we rescued from Puerto Rico and is terrified of strangers. She walked in the room and immediately made a connection with him. She even sat on the floor with him the entire time to be at his level and make him feel comfortable! A doctor…sitting on the floor…the entire time… to make her patient feel comfortable, need I say more? She was PHENOMENAL in calming his anxiety and now he wants to go to AtlasVet even when it is just to drop off his older smaller brother. All thanks to Dr. White! Thank you to the entire team at AtlasVet, especially Dr. Miller, Dr. White, Dr. Zaritsky, Traycie, and Zain!

Denise Thomson: We have been going to Atlas for about 4 years with two different dogs. Every doctor and staff member is sweet and caring. They always stay how cute and sweet my pup is which is always nice to here. They have great Covid protocols in place so be prepared.

Alysha Heckman: I have been taking my dog here for about 2 years and have no complaints. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. They are able to give me most of the medicine I need at the time of appointment. You can tell that they really care about the animals and are very accommodating of e-mail communication so you don’t always need to schedule an appointment. Will always recommend to people.

James Ling: My partner and I recently got adopted by a stray cat. Took him to Atlas, they were friendly, helpful and patient with all our questions. They treated him for ear mites, got him properly vaccinated and neutered him. The staff was great at explaining every procedure and medication and they called me after every visit to follow up and make sure everything was going well.

Rachel Antonia Silverio: Atlas vet is always a helpful, empathetic and informative experience. My dog is particularly taken with Dr. Claire, who always listens very attentively to my concerns and takes the time to ingratiate herself with Voltaire. Feel very lucky to have such a convenient and caring Vet nearby.

C Ark: Overall great Vet! Everyone is helpful and friendly. My only issue is their super strict scheduling. I recommend arriving at least 15min early to find/pay for parking, get to the building, and call to check in before walking in. I was running 5min late when I parked and it took another 5min just to get there and check in. I overheard 3 people tell me that I barely made it on time.

Calliope Crane: Kloeë Dawg established care there today and the care received was personable, lovely, welcoming, engaging, and taught us a lot. We are so happy to have found our vet in DC! 10 STARS FOR THE ATLAS FAM!!!!

Indian Head Animal Hospital: what do users think?

Cheryl Johnson: I am very happy to have come into contact with Indianhead. Not only is it near me but the service and care of my pet was superb. I have a new puppy and the staff obviously love animals but they were very personal and thorough with the information they provided to me. I have a cat which will now also be brought to them for her care. Thank you for doing your job very well

T Bridgeman: The doctors at Indian Head Amnimal Hospital are fantastic! They really care about your pets. I have always had a positive experience here. As long as I have pets, my fur babies will always be patients here.

a.l. rodenberg: I started bringing my furry friends here because it was the practice my husband had been using for his four-legged critters. They are friendly and professional. More to the point, they are good. What sold hubs is the fact that, 10 years ago, he got a dire prognosis for our black cat, was told to put him down, went to Indian Head, and Mr. black cat is alive and well, just suffering from kitty asthma. So basically, we are customers until we leave the area entirely.

Delmi Moreno Carbajal: Came multiple time to have my dog check and took multiple x-rays and never found what was wrong with my dog... they were useless, but when I took my dog to Emmavet they immediately were able to diagnose what was wrong with my dog and acted accordingly. Very sad to know Indian Head Animal hospital have poor service towards this amazing animal who are suffering which is why I people take thier animals in the first place and spend so much money for nothing at least on my experience

Monique: I am new to the state and looking for a Vet, while holding to speak with a receptionist I was reading through the reviews seeing negative comments about the workers at the desk. I just spoke with Brianna who was VERY nice, VERY professional and VERY helpful. Yes like all vets they are very booked up and you are unlikely to get a quick appointment but my contact with their desk staff was a positive experience.

Kate Downs: They have been our vet for years. Compassionate and caring as well as knowledgeable, this is absolutely the vet you take your pets to.

Rob Campbell: We get our dog groomed there monthly and this is one of the few places she goes in with no worries and comes out as happy as she went in.

Union Veterinary Clinic: what do users think?

Kelly Leigh Deaton: Every time I take my dog to this vet clinic it’s a great experience. I had a scare last year where he had to undergo numerous tests and the vet called me regularly to update me on what was going on. I highly recommend this clinic. Much better than other clinics I have used in the past. And I never wait to be seen.
Response: Kelly, Thank you for your 5-star review! We are happy that you have had a positive experience with us. We strive to always provide the best care and service for you and your furry family member.

Christine Marie: I have been taking my dog to Union Vet for about 5 years. We have loved our experience. The team at Union Vet is super friendly, informative and helpful. Their exams are thorough and they take the time to answer any question I have. My dog is often very nervous and skittish at the vet but the team does a great job remaining patient and doing everything they can to make him feel safe. I highly recommend Union Vet!

Amanda Clinton: The staff is so kind to my Maizy - always patient and gentle with her. Dr. Appleby is great! He was thorough, never made me feel rushed, explained options and costs for my dog’s treatment and generally has a stellar bedside manner for animals and their humans. He is also very knowledgeable about Rx and specific conditions in my breed of dog. I recommended him to my friends seeking a vet. Thanks to the rest of staff, as well, who helped with the vaccines and payment. Everything went very smoothly.

Brooke Sherman: The staff at Union Veterinary is knowledgeable and friendly. I just moved to DC and am very happy I selected them as the vet for my new cat! Overall very positive experience for me and my pet.

Marvin Miller: I just can’t recommend this vet. We brought two cats here and they were siblings. Four years ago, due to liver failure, we put her brother to sleep and they botched it — he was facing away from us and as soon they sedated him, his heart stopped. And we didn’t have a chance to say good bye. This time, her sister was 19 years old and in rapid declining health. She absolutely hated vets so we didn’t bring her in. Would not take pills or even mixed in food. She wasn’t stupid. And because it was some time since we last brought her in, they said they had to do quality of life exam and kept asking me - rudely and coldly - implying we could have done this or that. I was floored. We struggled with the decision but we knew it was time. And the vet made me feel horrible and she did nothing to assure me. Very judgmental. She reluctantly admitted there was a lot of issues with her at end. They went ahead and put her to sleep. To add insult to the injury, I was told it would be $170 on phone. No. The final bill was $420. Just be warned. And I honestly do not know why I returned to this vet again. I will not again.

Capitol Hill Animal Clinic: what do users think?

Austin Graff: When we got a puppy, our friends recommended this vet in a rowhouse along Pennsylvania Avenue. They were right- we love it! The staff are friendly, efficient and our dog loves them!

Jennifer: Friendly staff, reasonable prices and wait times are not long. They seem to very carefully schedule appointments to minimze the number of possible pet interactions in the waiting area or hall. Procedures and diagnoses are throughly explained in plain language and estimates for recommended follow-up care are provided. Definitely recommend!

Zeus 93: I love this place! I have been taking my 9 month old puppy here since he was 2 months. They are great with my dog knowing exactly who he is without them calling for us. My dog always comes back happy and so that makes me happy. Great place 👌

Tyrisa Salmond: Been coming here for a few years now. Quality care at an affordable rate.

Deborah witherspoon: Been going here for about 6 years now and I love the care that my dogs get. This year, one dog stopped walking suddenly and Dr. Murphy knew exactly what was wrong right away and made sure we went to the proper place for him to get surgery. Not to mention that the front desk ladies are amazing as well.
Response: It means so much to us to have your trust in taking care of your dogs all these years, Deborah -- thank you. We'll be here to give your pups the best care we can, and we'll be here anytime you need. -Dr. Murphy, Business Owner

Friendship Hospital For Animals: what do users think?

Jessica Rubenstein: Friendship Hospital for Animals has done an amazing job with both our cat and our dog. Last year they saved our cats life by correctly diagnosing him with FIP when another vet across town missed that diagnoses. Our cat would have died within weeks without Friendship getting it right. This year, our dog needed a fast-growing mass removed so we went to Friendship again. She has had masses removed before at other vets but this time the incision looks AMAZING and she’s healing so well. Friendship also has an incredible ophthalmologist at their location, which I didn’t know doggy ophthalmology was even a thing until we needed one. The ophthalmologist immediately knew how to care for our dogs degenerative eye condition that other vets missed. After paying the deposit for our dogs surgery and not needing all of the services, the billing department quickly refunded the services we ended up not needing. We recommend this vet to everyone.

D Charlie: The Best Skilled and Professional service. These people took OUTSTANDING care of my Dog Uncle Charlie! They have all the EQUIPMENT your pet needs and Uncle Charlie received top quality service. My Dog is 15 and Friendship showed him great Respect while handling. I LOVE Friendship Animal Hospital and I thank GOD for everything!

Malia Coppage: I took my dog , Mariah, in for an emergency in the middle of the night this week. I was really impressed with the staff and the care they provided for my dog. Everyone seemed to genuinely care and they were very sweet to her and to me. I would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Asher Feldman who saw her on ER and to Dr. Allison Haley and her neurology team for taking care of her the following day!

Michael Black: Absolutely incredible. They handle a very large volume of pets, and while the wait time was very long it was absolutely worth it. My dog came in with a bite wound and the staff checked me in calmly, the doctor reassured me and kept me perfectly informed along the way. The front staff was very professional; on top of everything they were adjusting the pictures in the lobby so the frames weren’t crooked. You should know that: - the wait time is long - emergency procedures are expensive But I would wait even longer and pay even more for this quality of service. 100% recommend for an emergency alternative to your primary vet.

Gracie Meringer: I had to bring my dog here a few nights ago. She was seen quickly, diagnosed quickly and they filled her prescriptions immediately. Total our visit was less than 2 hours. Dr. Perry explained everything thoroughly, answered all of my questions and clearly really loved my dog. She was carried by the staff in a blanket because of her injured back. They all clearly cared and were easy to work with. My follow up questions and emails were answered so fast, and when I needed more medicine they filled it immediately. I hope your pet never needs an ER/Urgent care visit but if they do, this is absolutely the place to go.

Maggie Chan: I brought in a stray cat that I was hoping to adopt and keep. I had taken him to my usual vet across town who had checked him out and indicated the cat was in good health and for vaccinations. Within days, the cat quickly spiraled downhill so I quickly rushed him to Friendship Hospital for Animals on a Sunday. Yes, the wait was long but I was very appreciative of Dr. Murphy who was detailed and thorough with the diagnosis and options. Despite a long day (I brought the cat in at 2 pm and at 2 am, she was still there), she was patient, compassionate, and answered all my questions. It was heartbreaking to have to put the cat down but it was also reassuring that Dr. Murphy did her best to help keep the cat comfortable. Thank you.

Lindsay P: We’ve been bringing our dogs here for years now, and have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars, and it seems like over the past year or two the customer service has gone down hill and the business seems more concerned about profits then care. We’ve received little to no follow up after appointments, and reception has been curt and unhelpful over the phone. We will likely continue coming here only because they maintain the medical history and know our dogs, but we would not recommend this business if you’re looking for a place that truly cares about the well being of your pet and maintaining positive relationships.

Georgetown Veterinary Hospital: what do users think?

Cassia Denton: Dr. Morgan is the absolute best veterinarian in the city. You will not find a kinder, more loving, more competent professional in the game, and his staff go above and beyond to make your pet feel like their own. I have referred multiple people to this office and every single one now has a vet for life!
Response: Thank you so much! I am honored to be Turkeys vet!

Vanessa Hurley: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, ValueWe recently brought our rescue dog, Lady, for a check-up and were delighted with the kind, professional and caring staff at Georgetown Veterinary Hospital. The doctors and staff here take time to explain every aspect of their treatment suggestions and we left feeling confident that Lady is in the best of hands!

Heather W.: Dr. Morgan is amazing and takes such good care of our sweet Weimaraner. Our dog has needed two surgeries - one dog bite and one cut paw from shrapnel in the woods. We are so happy with the level of care and results. There is almost no scar. Dr. Morgan is our routine vet now as well. I also find Dr. Morgan’s wife who works the reception desk to be extremely nice and attentive.

Lauren Roy: Dr Lee Morgan and staff are incredibly kind and don’t over prescribe treatments or procedures. We have taken our pets here for 10 years and can not recommend them enough for care of Dogs, older and puppies. Dr. Morgan works outside the office as a non profit vet for Police Dogs and the Alaskan Iditarod. Amazing Veterinarian and person.

Banfield Pet Hospital: what do users think?

Catherine Delaney: I will not be bringing my dog back to Banfield. We have been plan members for over 5 years. We have rarely needed to bring her in for emergencies or due to her being sick, but when we have there has been at least a month wait with no options to bring her in sooner. What is the point of being a preferred plan member if your dog can’t be seen when sick? Not to mention the woman on the phone was extremely rude and not helpful. Many people warned me not to bring our dog here and I wish I had listened. They took our money monthly and when we actually needed them for something they were beyond dismissive.
Response: We're sorry to hear about the challenges you've had making an appointment, Catherine. If you're an Optimum Wellness Plan member, don't forget you can also access Vet Chat and talk to a vet 24/7 from the Banfield website or app. We'll share your concerns about scheduling and availability with the team and help them find a scheduling solution. If you would like to discuss this with your local hospital's leadership team, please email us at BanfieldCares@banfield.com with your account details and the best way for us to reach you.

Carolin Tolentino: Really wonderful veterinary practice. Staff (receptionists, vet techs, and vets) are kind, knowledgeable, and patient, prices are reasonable, and appointment availability is pretty good. My puppy is in good hands. :)

TaQuesha Thompson: This place have really went down hill from four years ago when I first started bringing my fur baby here the use to communicate more better and was more professional I don’t know if they are under new management or what but it is a mess. I was told my baby was due for a vaccination from 2020 here it is 2022 and no one mentioned that to me at all and she has been there faithfully for the rest of her shots smh but they quick to take your money I have no understanding at all I am looking for a new pet dr. Office to take her to do any one know a good one please thanks in advance I highly appreciate it.

Michael Arrue: I was arriving late today and I gave them a call and they were very understanding about me being a few minutes late and I really really appreciate, the woman who is talking care of my dogs is very sweet and helpful ( brook)
Response: Thank you for sharing your positive experience. We're glad that you're pleased with your dogs' care, and look forward to your next visit with us.

Helen Hatcher: I have had the best experience since I was introduce to Banfield in 2019, they take very good care of my 2 baby which eases my mind...thank you Banfield (The Yard).
Response: Helen, we're glad to hear that you and your fur babies are receiving great service. Your feedback is appreciated. We will make sure to pass it onto the staff. Thanks for partnering with us.

G Madrid: I had a terrible experience with Banfield. I am the first to understand about COVID difficulties, as I lost my Dad to COVID. I was super disappointed in the customer experience. I am searching for a new place for the care of my best friend.
Response: Hi G, we are sorry to hear that you have not had a good experience and we would like to follow up with you to learn more about you visit with us. Please reach out to our Client Advocate Team at BanfieldCares@banfield.com at your convenience so we can learn more and try to address your concerns.

Thomas Jones: If I could give zero stars I would my first appointment they had told me I scheduled at 9:30 am when I know for a fact I set it for 12:30 because it was in my email and txt the lady at the front desk went back and forth with me… I bring my pet home to come to find out he has canine cough not only that I paid extra for flea and tick they didn’t give my puppy the medication and made me pay another fee our next appointment even though I had it included with plan and had previously paid for it. My dog was sick for about two weeks with the cough he goes back for his second appointment and my dog comes home with diarrhea I’m not sure what’s going on in there but I am VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THIS HOSPITAL
Response: Hi Thomas, our aim is to provide a positive experience to everyone coming to our hospitals. Robert Meltzer: Great vets and office!! Love the new space with the old sign. Vets are very thoughtful and get back to me by phone with answers to my questions or email me info. Office staff is very nice. Been with them for almost 4 years and the only place I take my cat! Great place!

Anna Anderson: Always have a wonderful experience with the staff. They really care for my cat. They are quick to respond to questions and the vet talks to you personally. It is nice to have such great people to count on!

Kristal Ricks: I love taking my fur babies to Arlington Animal Hospital! Kerry and the team are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and responsive. They provide efficient service and are super caring .

Mike E: Arlington Animal Hospital has been our place to go for our doggie needs. The staff is great and they really take great care of our furry family members. I couldn’t ask for more.

Rocketboy 1313: Exceptionally helpful with finding medications, giving some good and direct advice, and making sure pets are treated well. My dog does not lament visiting this vet.

Theresa Knudson: I took my cat for a check-up and shots thinking everything was fine and the doctor found an ear infection, started treatment and told me how to continue clearing it up. She is always very thorough and that makes me confident I am doing my best for my pet.

Taylor Jabin: I moved to Takoma Park- and Needed a New Vet. I called them and they were able to schedule me right away. They are friendly, thorough, and patient with all my questions. During the Pandemic they were still able to take my cat for a check up. Their pricing is fair- and the doctor took time on the phone to answer all my questions and concerns.

Megan Harris: We needed to get our dog vaccinated before boarding him, so we were on time constraints. Takoma Park animal Clinic was able to fit us in same day when we couldn’t get an appointment anywhere else for several weeks. The staff was very courteous (and walked me through how to send his records electronically). The veterinarian met me outside and talked to me about my dog and then brought him out to me. He was very friendly and was playing with my dog when they came out the door. I had a great experience here. It is pricey but they gave me a 15% discount for being a new client.

Regina McNeal: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, ValueDr. Malachi was so friendly and professional. She made us feel comfortable after a surgery and was very informative. I felt like my dog was in great hands! I would highly recommend Takoma Park Animal Clinic. Kudos to a great team of people!

EMMAvet: what do users think?

Maira Oliva: My 2 year old golden retriever lucky got the best care I could possibly ask for. The entire staff was very attentive , explained everything thoroughly. Unfortunately we came in for a sick visit but everyone made the friendly giant feel comfortable and happy again. I would highly recommend this location for urgent vet care. They practice great covid protocols and also kept me updated through out his visit while I remained near by!
Response: Thank you for the review!!! We love these gentle (and usually goofy) goldens for sure!

beauty. dispenser: I had an excellent experience with EMMAvet. Their practice is extremely COVID safe. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly. Before they did anything in addition to the physical, they called me and let me know the cost so I could give informed consent. My kitty came out calmer than when she went in, which I think speaks to the quality of the folks working there. Oh and the visit was super quick, in and out within the hour. My only complaint is I wish they offered payment plans for the bills like some human hospitals do.
Response: Thank you for the review!!! We appreciate the specifics too so we can see where we can learn and grow. We will look into having a “billing department” to handle payment plans.

Chris Clark: EMMAvet helped us over a holiday weekend when our regular vet was not available. What a caring, empathetic, and competent staff! Great care, and professional service. We would recommend them whole heartedly.
Response: Thank you for the review!!!

Ashraf Ajban: I have experienced more then 7 different Vets/Emergency Rooms and honest to god I’ve never seen this amount of care and compassion come from anyone. Jessie is the best, even though they were too busy to take me in, she stayed on the phone with me to make sure everything is okay and helped me take care of my puppy in the mean time. She knew they were too busy and it’s not like they were about to make money from me, regardless she helped me much more then I can ever help her. Then she went and called the vets around the area (that have no association with them) to see if she can get him in ASAP. She honestly did not have to do all of that every single place I called said “ hey sorry were backed up I’ll put u on the list, bye” but she went above and beyond and for that I’m forever grateful. Those selfless acts is what separates her from the rest. Thanks Jessie again. <3 This is Leroy, he is 1 year old and 4 pounds.
Response: Thank you for this review!! I will be sure to pass it along to Jessie as well as the entire team. We hope you were able to get Leroy taken care of! We are also doing our best to accommodate more pets with expansion plans in the works!!

Melissa Kemendo: We went to a nearby emergency vet and left when we saw a number of red flags in their actions. We were so glad we made the extra drive to get to EMMAvet - it was such a contrast from the experience we had elsewhere. We were greeted warmly and compassionately, given clear expectations for what would come next, and given insight along the way. We waited out front for our dog and saw many customers and their pets come and go, which each one given the same level of care.
Response: Thank you for the review!!! We strive to give our owners the same TLC as we give our patients :)

Mary Porter: We were very grateful EmmaVet could see us on a Saturday when our dog had injured herself. The staff were so gracious and lovely and kept us informed as things progressed. She is home and doing great, and we are so appreciative of the wonderful care.
Response: Thank you so much for the review!!! We are also so happy to know she’s on the mend ❤️‍

Ashley Bryan: I know I would not have been able to handle the loss of my sweet Cali dog without the gentle kindness of Dr. Nolan and her team. Dr. Nolan was so patient and understanding as we went through this process, and helped us feel heard and cared for. The staff loved our little one well to the end and even after. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Response: Thank you for the review. We are so sorry for your loss of Cali, and we are appreciative to be there for you in these times.

Hayley Mitchell: EmmaVet is a very professional, kind, and helpful clinic!! I 100% recommend them to any pet owner seeking a primary care vet or urgent care! They took excellent care of my cat who had breathing problems and got him in right at 3pm into the urgent care, diagnosed and treated him quickly and efficiently, and now he’s back to his normal self 2 days later!

staci kovelman: Positive: Professionalism, ResponsivenessHighly recommend this urgent care! They were so helpful when my dog was having a bad allergic reaction. They were so kind and caring, even right before closing on a holiday! The visit was quick and the vet was thorough and answered all my questions. Thank you so much for helping us out!
Response: Thank you for the review!!! We’re glad it was an in-and-out emergency!!!

VCA Alexandria Animal Hospital: what do users think?

chelsea gadiano: Got our appointment for Ridley’s yearly exam! Service is always great, ladies at the reception area are helpful and nice! Techs are very sweet and gentle with Ridley. Our vet is amazing answered my questions and explained stuff very well!
Response: It was a pleasure to assist you and Ridley, Chelsea. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to help and for sharing this positive experience. We'd be honored to help with any future pet-care needs!

Emily Larson: I have only been here with my dog and we love it. She is high energy and hard to handle but they always help me contain her excitement and take her in a timely manner. All of the assistants are so friendly and helpful. My dog went through a few months where we had to go in every 2 weeks to get her foot looked at and every single time they were so helpful, respectful, understanding, and took the time to explain everything. I have also called just to ask questions to get some advice without going in and they happily answer. Highly recommend!
Response: Emily, thank you so much for the wonderful show of support. We love being here for you and your dog, and we are so glad you can always count on our team for helpful and professional care.

Elle Scott: We’ve been living in the area for a little over a year and wish we would have found this place sooner! We showed up a few minutes before closing time when our dog unexpectedly hurt her foot on our evening walk, and the reception team graciously accepted us for a walk-in visit. The team was so kind to us and our dog, and our vet was very thorough. We will definitely be back!
Response: Elle, we're so glad we could help with your dog's needs, and we appreciate you sharing your experience. Please reach out if you need us in the future!

Erin Albuquerque: They say they are open until 6pm online but the vets seems to come and go whenever they please so make sure you don’t go here if your pet needs urgent care. They claim to have urgent care hours but never have a vet when I’ve gone in twice now. This last time my dog was steady bleeding from the mouth and there was a vet on location who refused to treat him without an appointment so they sent me 20 minutes away to their Fairfax location which is just as awful. They are not sympathetic to pet owners and just say over and over that their hours change daily and not to come without calling …..not what I’m think about while my dogs bleeding from the mouth, you’d think they would at least pretend to get that. Overall, there are better vets who actually care about the animals they treat. The one non emergency appointment we had here the vet wouldn’t even acknowledge my puppy so it’s was miserable for us all as my puppy tried to get to the vet across the exam room just to say hi (as puppies do), incredibly odd to be a vet but not like puppies. I had to stop the appointment and ask the vet to just pet the puppy so he would calm down and I could focus on what the guy was saying.
Response: Erin, we are disappointed by your comments, as we make every effort to be there for our clients when they need us and strive to offer a positive experience. It's unfortunate that you've reached out when we haven't had the bandwidth to meet your needs, and we can assure you our team does everything possible to assist as many pets as we can. Please give us an opportunity to address your concerns with you personally by emailing our hospital manager at reviews.vcaalexandria@vca.com. Thank you.

Kristen Kabay: I have nothing but fantastic things to say about VCA. My dog Reign, had an emergency and we ended up at VCA. From the person answering phones, to the vet techs, and Dr. Galvan, every staff member I spoke to were the nicest, most compassionate, and professional people. They treated my pup with the best care and found the issue fairly quickly after a thorough examination without charging me an arm and a leg for unnecessary tests. Thank you all again so much! I would definitely recommend VCA with all your pets needs.
Response: You're very welcome, Kristen, and thank you for bringing Reign to us. We're proud to hear that everyone provided kind, professional, and compassionate care, and we're grateful for your recommendation.

CiCi Chindamo: The staff was friendly, well informative, and accommodated our dog who isn’t well with other dogs but loves people! I love using VCA as I have used Herndon location, and Centreville due to relocating but I never had a bad experience. VCA Is always such a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend them!!!
Response: We love working with you and your dog, CiCi! Thank you for your support, and please know we're always here to provide professional and informative service.

Clarendon Animal Care North Arlington: what do users think?

Ellen V: We’ve taken our golden, Tucker, here since he was 2 months old. We always leave feeling loved and cared for by the amazing staff.Dr. Plough is the best and we’re so thankful to live just a couple of blocks away!

Piper Akol: The best vet experience I have had! I am in DC but it is easy to take the metro (with my kitty) to this office. Cat is way less scared and tense with the fear free practices, and I have never felt rushed or unheard. They are also helpful if you call with a question, which is helpful so that I can get an answer without having to get my cat in the carrier, etc. for an appointment. We love Dr. Tanner but have had good experiences with all of the staff!
Response: Thank you for the kind words, Piper! We love seeing Tony and Cleo and working with you in their care.

Alexa Alice Joubin: They now allow people (wearing face masks) go to inside with their pets which is good. Very nicely decorated and comfy space. See my new photos. ::::: This clinic is conveniently located in Clarendon; staff are cheerful and friendly; above all they are very responsive on emails and phones; we especially appreciate how Dr. Adkins even responded to an email about illness on a Saturday. Due to COVID, they practice social distancing and do not allow clients in their lobby. We had to wait outside, call them, and they came outside to meet us. Overall the best part about this clinic is their responsiveness.
Response: Thanks so much for the review, Alexa! As you stated, we are currently not allowing clients in the building, however, we are making plans for our policies to adjust as COVID-19 and phases of reopening evolve, but social distancing will remain a large part of our efforts to keep everyone safe! Stay tuned!

Sandy PBrown: These folks, from the front desk to the techs to the vets, are ABSOLUTELY unparalleled in their intelligence, their kindness and their compassion. I found them 3 years ago when I moved to Arlington from Denver, and I cannot say enough great things about them. Recently, I had to let my sweet Grimley pass over, and they were so lovely and present and understanding. I moved to Fairfax and still use this vet clinic. These are skilled animal lovers and fantastic doctors.
Response: We're so sorry about Grimley, but so appreciative of these kind words regarding our team! They will be shared with everyone. It's our goal to ensure everyone feels empowered to play an active role in the health of their own pet along with our team! Thank you again!

Hannah Magoveny: I really cannot recommend Clarendon Animal Care - North enough. Every since we adopted our sweet girl, an 8 year old cat, we have had some ongoing health issues with her. We continued going to CAC as that was where she had gone her whole life, and we couldn’t be happier! Dr. Plough is simply fabulous- she is so thorough, helpful, and explains everything in detail so we know exactly what is going on! I highly recommend her. Every single vet tech and front desk/admin employee we have worked with have also all been amazing! They are super responsive, which I love. I really appreciate their kindness, especially since our sweet girl is apparently not so sweet when getting any vet exams, lol. Any prescriptions we’ve gotten have also been filled quickly, which is a huge plus. I highly recommend CAC!!
Response: Thank you, Hannah! We're sharing this with Dr. Plough and our team! We're elated to be able to be your choice for your kitty's care provider!
