Adams Morgan Animal Hospital: what do users think?
Josh Griff
Josh Griff: First time bringing my dog here and had a good experience. The doctor seemed to know what was wrong with my dog and his infection cleared up within 24 hours of treatment. Making an appointment was easy and you get seen in a reasonable time. I am glad I was able to go back to see the vet with my dog because some places do not allow that currently.
Joseph Miller
Joseph Miller: My wife and I had to take our cat for an emergency trip to another vet hospital in early February where we received the unfortunate news that our cat had cancer. We had an already scheduled annual check up with Adams Morgan Animal Hospital later that month. During the visit the doctor spent 20 minutes with us going over the X-rays, scans, and blood work. Afterwards we decided we would take her home and let her enjoy her final days in her normal environment. Flash forward to this past Friday when we noticed our cat had taken a turn for the worse and we knew it was time. When we contacted Adams Morgan Animal Hospital I explained the situation and they could not have been more accommodating! Even with their fully booked schedule they made arrangements to see her right away. During our difficult time Adams Morgan Animal Hospital was there for us and we will forever be grateful.
Amy Lee
Amy Lee: Pretty good! Nice helpful staff. A little less attentive to the nervousness of my dog as I would have hoped but still great care. I’ll be back.
Kaitlyn Stovall
Kaitlyn Stovall: I brought my cats here for over six years, seeing Dr. Boone (Jr) and Dr. Madden several times each. Vet care - I was always pleased with their attention to the animals and advice given to me, especially initially as a very nervous, probably over-eager first-time cat owner. Both doctors and vet techs seemed to remember my cats and have a way with calming them. Office staff (because there are several negative reviewers on this point) - On occasion over several years people may not have been overly cheery at busy times but they were always professional and patient in explaining prices and then evolving coronavirus prevention measures, and they always worked hard to fit me in when one of my pets was sick - I never had to find an emergency or other vet during business hours. I was sad to have to find a new vet when I moved recently, but the office staff were very responsive and helpful in transferring records. Prices - reasonable for the neighborhood.
Michelle McKeever
Michelle McKeever: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, ValueMy cat, Hope, needed boosters and an annual check up and I am SO glad I went to Adams Morgan Animal Hospital. Everything was easy and affordable and Hope left happy for a cat that had to get her shots. I so appreciate this place!
Sulzhan Bali
Sulzhan Bali: I got to know about Dr Boone through word of mouth ( a friend takes his dog there) and my new pup loves going to this vet. The staff are really well informed and provide a good balance of loving care, preventative tips, and value. The staff remembers all dogs, and I greatly appreciate that. For example, once when I had a question about my pup and I called in to ask, the next time I called to book her vaccine appointment, they even asked me how she was doing. Dr Boone had come out to answer all my questions patiently on our first visit, which I was most grateful for.
Lucky Barbieri
Lucky Barbieri: The team is wonderful and very helpful. Took care of my kitty in no time. Also boots the cat runs the show there haha. Huge fan
Ceterisbearibus
Ceterisbearibus: Their phone system has had issues on an almost consistent basis which makes it very difficult to get in contact with them. Today their phone system said it is down because it is July 4th (it is September 13th). What if there was an emergency and you needed to contact them? Unacceptable, I’m going to be looking for a new vet that can be reliably contacted.
Kaitlyn Marshall
Kaitlyn Marshall: These amazing people fit me in at the last possible moment and took fantastic care of my cat Oliver. I found out he had a bladder blockage and they did everything for him. I couldn’t go to the animal urgent care facility and they undoubtedly saved his life. I will be making this his new primary care vet. Can’t recommend enough!

Atlasvet: what do users think?
MJ Kass
MJ Kass: They’re super friendly here. My cats were well cared for. There was no pressure for my cats to do what the vet told them. One of my kitties (pictured) is very shy and was coaxed with delicious treats that she definitely appreciated. The techs didn’t even pick them up unless I was okay with it. I can tell they want my animals to live long
Loana Caballero
Loana Caballero: We absolutely LOVE AtlasVet. The very first time I visited, the front desk greeted us with excitement. Since then, I have visited the office multiple times and the treatment has remained consistent, especially from Zain! He is always going the extra mile to ensure the check in and check out process is done efficiently and stress free. Dr. Zaritsky performed a dental surgery for my 13 year old dog, who was suffering from severe dental disease and the results were better than I hoped for! Their wonderful Tech Manager, Traycie, followed up with me every step of his post surgery and made Caramelo’s recovery a priority. It has been about a month since the surgery and he is now eating kibble again, even with his gummy smile! Dr. White saw my one year old labrador retriever who we rescued from Puerto Rico and is terrified of strangers. She walked in the room and immediately made a connection with him. She even sat on the floor with him the entire time to be at his level and make him feel comfortable! A doctor…sitting on the floor…the entire time… to make her patient feel comfortable, need I say more? She was PHENOMENAL in calming his anxiety and now he wants to go to AtlasVet even when it is just to drop off his older smaller brother. All thanks to Dr. White! Thank you to the entire team at AtlasVet, especially Dr. Miller, Dr. White, Dr. Zaritsky, Traycie, and Zain!
Denise Thomson
Denise Thomson: We have been going to Atlas for about 4 years with two different dogs. Every doctor and staff member is sweet and caring. They always stay how cute and sweet my pup is which is always nice to here. They have great Covid protocols in place so be prepared.
Alysha Heckman
Alysha Heckman: I have been taking my dog here for about 2 years and have no complaints. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. They are able to give me most of the medicine I need at the time of appointment. You can tell that they really care about the animals and are very accommodating of e-mail communication so you don’t always need to schedule an appointment. Will always recommend to people.
James Ling
James Ling: My partner and I recently got adopted by a stray cat. Took him to Atlas, they were friendly, helpful and patient with all our questions. They treated him for ear mites, got him properly vaccinated and neutered him. The staff was great at explaining every procedure and medication and they called me after every visit to follow up and make sure everything was going well.
Rachel Antonia Silverio
Rachel Antonia Silverio: Atlas vet is always a helpful, empathetic and informative experience. My dog is particularly taken with Dr. Claire, who always listens very attentively to my concerns and takes the time to ingratiate herself with Voltaire. Feel very lucky to have such a convenient and caring Vet nearby.
C Ark
C Ark: Overall great Vet! Everyone is helpful and friendly. My only issue is their super strict scheduling. I recommend arriving at least 15min early to find/pay for parking, get to the building, and call to check in before walking in. I was running 5min late when I parked and it took another 5min just to get there and check in. I overheard 3 people tell me that I barely made it on time.
Calliope Crane
Calliope Crane: Kloeë Dawg established care there today and the care received was personable, lovely, welcoming, engaging, and taught us a lot. We are so happy to have found our vet in DC! 10 STARS FOR THE ATLAS FAM!!!!

CityPaws Animal Hospital: what do users think?
Zachary Denney
Zachary Denney: Positive: Professionalismwhen I arrived today they were able to squeeze me in for my puppy that was having breathing issues. They were very nice and made me feel at ease. My puppy is much better but I appreciate them helping her at the last minute
Response: Zachary, Thank you so much for the kind review. So glad to hear that we were able to help!
Olga F
Olga F: I haven’t been here yet because when I called in the front desk manager immediately cut me off as I was trying to explain my issue and said “have YOU ever been here before?” When I said no, she said the wait was 4-6 weeks. I said that unfortunately I couldn’t wait that long and started to say that I’ll check with other places to which she responded “well that’s the wait for everybody!” I think City Paws can benefit from some nicer staff.
Response: Hello Olga, We are disappointed to read of your review. Would you please call us at 202-232-7297 and ask to speak to the practice manager. Best, CityPaws
David M
David M: Doctors are amazing. Support staff leaves a little to be desired. On my last visit, the assistant said she was pregnant and couldn’t pick up my (petite 10 pound dog) so she decided she would drag my already scared baby across the lobby down the hall. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk nurse, she argued with me rather than apologize.
Response: David, We are disappointed to read of your review. Please know this is not the standards we expect of our staff. We will have someone reach out to you today to learn more. Best to you, CityPaws
Cierra Piggott
Cierra Piggott: I do not usually write reviews but the outstanding service my dog received today deserves recognition! She got to a small chicken bone outside and although I got most of it out of her mouth, she was acting uncomfortable and like she still had something stuck in the back of her throat. I first called Friendship emergency vet and they said they had a 1-3 hour wait (plus it is a 20 minute drive). I was about to leave but my husband called City Paws and told them the situation. They said bring her right in. I got there abt 10 minutes later and the staff was waiting outside the front door to meet us. They took my dog back immediately for the doctor to examine her, while I gave check-in info as we had never been there before. They called me back to speak to the doctor 5 minutes later. The vet was extremely smart and friendly. Overall the service blew me away. Everyone from start to finish was so nice and made me feel at ease. My dog perked up significantly and was back to her normal self before we left. I was back home in way less than 1 hour from when she even ate the bone. Thank you!!
Response: Thank you for the wonderful review. We are so pleased we were able to be there for you all. Best, Stephanie
Aerica Shimizu Banks
Aerica Shimizu Banks: I’ve been a longtime client, since 2016 but this will likely be the last time I go out of my way to take my dog here. I scheduled an appointment a week out for time sensitive issues and got on the cancellation list. Was told there were several cancellations today, and rearranged my schedule to drive across town from deep in Southeast to make it. Rush hour starts at 3pm now apparently so hit a ton of traffic but still make it right at the advertised grace period of 15min . Call to check in and am placed on hold for 15 total minutes as we wait outside just to be told to reschedule and that the grace period has changed to 10min. Was I ever notified of this change? No. I received no call to confirm or check in if I was running late. Even the signage at the front desk says 15min grace period. So, two hour roundtrip for nothing. I thought the higher prices were worth paying for the appointment availability and attentiveness but those qualities no longer exist. Not to mention previous requests for medical records were ignored. Infuriating waste of time.
Response: Hi Aerica, We are disappointed to read of your experience. Would you mind giving us a call so that we may learn more.
Murray Penner
Murray Penner: I highly recommend CityPaws. Their staff are helpful and professional, and their doctors are compassionate, kind, and knowledgeable. The only negative experience I ever had was having to wait a fairly long time for a nail trim for my cat but it was during COVID and because if a staff shortage so it’s understandable. It’s a quality and well-planned practice that I have complete confidence in. I especially appreciate Courtney up front who is always helpful and efficient.
Response: Thank you so much for the kind review. We will share with our team!
J sam
J sam: They are very professional and friendly. The veterinarian very willing to answer all the concerns regarding the health of our baby. Thank you city pawn. With affection Sophia the husky❤

Union Veterinary Clinic: what do users think?
Kelly Leigh Deaton
Kelly Leigh Deaton: Every time I take my dog to this vet clinic it’s a great experience. I had a scare last year where he had to undergo numerous tests and the vet called me regularly to update me on what was going on. I highly recommend this clinic. Much better than other clinics I have used in the past. And I never wait to be seen.
Response: Kelly, Thank you for your 5-star review! We are happy that you have had a positive experience with us. We strive to always provide the best care and service for you and your furry family member.
Christine Marie
Christine Marie: I have been taking my dog to Union Vet for about 5 years. We have loved our experience. The team at Union Vet is super friendly, informative and helpful. Their exams are thorough and they take the time to answer any question I have. My dog is often very nervous and skittish at the vet but the team does a great job remaining patient and doing everything they can to make him feel safe. I highly recommend Union Vet!
Amanda Clinton
Amanda Clinton: The staff is so kind to my Maizy - always patient and gentle with her. Dr. Appleby is great! He was thorough, never made me feel rushed, explained options and costs for my dog’s treatment and generally has a stellar bedside manner for animals and their humans. He is also very knowledgeable about Rx and specific conditions in my breed of dog. I recommended him to my friends seeking a vet. Thanks to the rest of staff, as well, who helped with the vaccines and payment. Everything went very smoothly.
Brooke Sherman
Brooke Sherman: The staff at Union Veterinary is knowledgeable and friendly. I just moved to DC and am very happy I selected them as the vet for my new cat! Overall very positive experience for me and my pet.
Marvin Miller
Marvin Miller: I just can’t recommend this vet. We brought two cats here and they were siblings. Four years ago, due to liver failure, we put her brother to sleep and they botched it — he was facing away from us and as soon they sedated him, his heart stopped. And we didn’t have a chance to say good bye. This time, her sister was 19 years old and in rapid declining health. She absolutely hated vets so we didn’t bring her in. Would not take pills or even mixed in food. She wasn’t stupid. And because it was some time since we last brought her in, they said they had to do quality of life exam and kept asking me - rudely and coldly - implying we could have done this or that. I was floored. We struggled with the decision but we knew it was time. And the vet made me feel horrible and she did nothing to assure me. Very judgmental. She reluctantly admitted there was a lot of issues with her at end. They went ahead and put her to sleep. To add insult to the injury, I was told it would be $170 on phone. No. The final bill was $420. Just be warned. And I honestly do not know why I returned to this vet again. I will not again.

Palisades Veterinary Clinic: what do users think?
Tabitha Asher
Tabitha Asher: This clinic’s customer care and service has unfortunately declined as the years continue. I attempted to call and see if there was any prescription food in stock I could stop by and grab as I have done this before and would not receive my online order in time. I am leaving town tonight and will not have enough food for the next 2 days to leave for my cats. First I was told that they do not have the food but that I could order online but would need to get an exam as my cats are less than 1 week past due for their annual exam. I explained that this was never explained to me before that an exam is required for the food, but I don’t have a problem bringing them I just cannot today as I am leaving town and really need food for them so they don’t go hungry. The girl interrupted me as I tried to explain this to her saying it doesn’t matter because I need an exam. Complete lack of compassion or empathy for my situation. Less than 1 week past due should not keep me from getting the food they have been eating for the past year. Additionally, I asked for my cats records as I would be terminating our relationship and for a refund of a fecal sample that was not “good” at their last exam. I said that I would at their next appointment. But since I will not be going back I have asked for a refund and one has not been rendered. My records were sent but with no apology or acknowledgment of any sort. Yes, I should have planned better, but you made me feel helpless today and it clearly came across you did not care about the situation I was in or that my cats would not have food. And to top it all off, the food I had ordered online, they made sure to decline it! And again, not communication or acknowledgment . I am a professional myself where I care for human patients. This is not how you treat people who pay you a high price for you services.
Laura Carey
Laura Carey: We have come here for several years for our cat as it is very convenient. Also, the groomer is fantastic! Our cat recently got a wonderful lion cut which really helps keep him clean (and apparently our cat was totally happy during the process and didn’t require sedation)!
Response: Thank you for the positive review. We are very glad to hear that you are happy with our Groomer. We will be sure to pass review on to him and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Animal Clinic of Anacostia: what do users think?
Maria Knatt
Maria Knatt: This is the only place I take my pets. The staff is wonderful and many people bring there pets here because of the excellent service and prices are reasonable compared to most clinics. It stays busy but the wait is worth it. The doctor and staff is phenomenal !!
Mallory Uzel
Mallory Uzel: Two days before Christmas, while visiting from out of town, my dog tweaked his leg and was quite uncomfortable. The receptionist here was so kind on the phone and let us know they closed early that day but could fit us in if we were able to get over there quickly. I had called 15 other clinics who were all booked out even for emergencies (understandably, with the pandemic and staffing issues all places are experiencing) so I was already so appreciative they were able to see my poor ouchy old man! The lovely, kind ladies at the animal clinic of Anacostia were able to fit my pup in quickly after arrival, do a quick exam to confirm nothing was majorly wrong, get meds on board, and they were so sweet to me, his worried mom throughout! Their prices were also extremely reasonable, and I witnessed them provide the same kind care and attention to another gentleman in the lobby with an ill dog as we were on our way out (the staff was staying late to make sure that pup was cared for). So many thanks to Dr Ashley and the rest of the ladies, and I can’t recommend their kind care enough!
Jovan Perry
Jovan Perry: The staff is very friendly and compassionate towards the animals. As well the prices are very reasonable. I really enjoy the care that my animals receive when I take them their!!
Sunyetta Thornton
Sunyetta Thornton: Dr Ashley office is the best with working with animals and taking care of her pets thank you for being such a caring and loving animal vet I have been coming to you for years getting my dogs treated and the pricing is not bad ☺️
Angela Baker-Fonville
Angela Baker-Fonville: The doctor is so good with Max we have been going there for 10 yrs and I would not change a thing. She is a great Veterinarian
Sarah Tilahun
Sarah Tilahun: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, Value5 stars all the way. I started taking my pet to them as soon as we got him at 2 1/2 months. They have ALWAYS been professional, courteous, & reliable. They give great resources and are willing to answer all the questions of a new pet owner. Their prices are way more than fair. As long as you get there early you will be seen.
Turquoise Afro
Turquoise Afro: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, ValueDr. Ashley is wonderful. This is the best animal clinic in DC. Very ethical, compassionate with intuitive advice based on decades of experience not motivated to make a quick buck by recommending risky procedures for the bottom line. A breath of fresh air. 10 stars.
Tina Graham
Tina Graham: Dr.Ashley is the best! She treats my fur babies great each visit! Prices are great..:)

P Street Pet Practice: what do users think?
Priscilla Thomas
Priscilla Thomas: P Street Pet Practice is extremely professional, quick, and friendly when I take my mini dachshund, Bailey, in. Dr. Teferi is clearly extremely knowledgeable about each breed of dog and attentive to individual pet needs. I’m never worried when I drop my dog off to him and the other staff at P Street Pet Practice. They’re great at communication and always update me throughout my dog’s appointment. Something I really appreciate is that they let me know beforehand approximately what I’ll be paying and break down the costs line by line. I’m so happy my dog has a great vet that I can trust to provide the best care for him!
Karla Valcárcel
Karla Valcárcel: P Street Pet Practice took great care of my cat, Luna, for her annual checkup and vaccination. She was calm and happy after the appointment and the staff seemed so friendly. I’ll be returning to this vet in the future.
Kimberley Portugal
Kimberley Portugal: My dog has severe allergies. He was miserable. We just relocated back to DC and were referred to P St. Pet Practice. They were able to squeeze us in quickly to give my sweet Pete some relief. He is feeling so much better after his visit. Couldn’t have asked for better service.
Hannah Mirviss
Hannah Mirviss: Very friendly staff and cute practice. Can be hard to get an appointment like all vets in the area, but attentive and kind to my cat! Will be my primary vet going forward. Thanks!
Erica Taylor
Erica Taylor: I love going to this Vet, the doctor and the whole staff are so friendly and caring for my Furbabies and do their best to get my babies in when they are not feeling well. Of course during these times I do my best to call at least two weeks in advance for routine checkups due to appointments filling quickly but overall a great experience would 100 percent recommend.

Collins Hospital for Animals: what do users think?
Nathan Lapin
Nathan Lapin: It was easy to make an appointment with Collins hospital for animals. They followed COVID-19 procedures ensuring safety for both themselves and us, as well as our pet. They came out and got our pet and called us when they were almost done. Then they had us watching how they trim our pets nails, which is really helpful going forward. Watching them with our pet made us feel like he was in good hands. They were gentle and kind with our pet, which put us at ease. This is definitely a prime place to take an animal to the veterinarian! I highly recommend.
Samantha Horn
Samantha Horn: I have taken both my dogs to Collins since moving to DC. They have affordable vet care. The staff is very caring. The vets are empathetic and truly care about the animals. They have even referred me to AFFORDABLE outside places when something could not be performed in house. 10/10!
Response: Thank you so much for the review!
Stephane Carnot
Stephane Carnot: i have been going to Collins Hospital for the last 10 years as they are near my house. every time you leave them a message even for an emergency they do not call back. I call them last week because one of my dogs was having a huge growth on is face that was painful that appeared in the last 2 days. it was a teeth infection. luckily there is Friendship hospital that helped me and my dog out.
Response: I am sorry about your experience. I would like to assure you that we always call back clients who leave messages. Sadly sometimes messages are just dead air or total silence. Not sure why that happens but it does, daily. I believe your voice mail was one of those. Again, I am sorry you had a bad experience but grateful that FHA was able to care for your pet in a timely fashion.
Christine Giglio
Christine Giglio: Thank you Dr. Jay and staff for taking care of our new pup! We were able to fly safely and calmly with lil Jib. He slept in my arms during the entire flightWith love, Christie & Brad🐾
Tisha Mondal
Tisha Mondal: My experience here was great. It was my first time going to a vet after adopting my cat Marbles. Dr. Fischer was wonderful and very attentive to Marbles. She took her time to explain things I needed to know & took a lot of care in answering the questions I had. Unfortunately, I had to change to another animal hospital near my house as this place is a bit far. I thought that in cases of emergencies, it perhaps would be better to have a clinic nearby. Collins Animal Hospital is still the best and I wish it were closer.
Response: Thank you so much for the lovely review. Sorry to see you go but glad you had a good experience with us.
Wendy Wilson
Wendy Wilson: I am so pleased to have found Collins Hospital. I switched over a year ago from my previous vet, because of proximity - one of my cats hates car rides. I have had very good service and have been especially impressed by Drs. F and C. When I lost a cat to illness last year, these women were professional and compassionate, two important qualities in a vet. This morning, one of the staff members managed to squeeze me in for a last minute appointment, after I discovered a sore on one of the cats. Finally, for DC - and in particular - Upper Georgetown, their services are reasonable.
Annaliese Nurnberg
Annaliese Nurnberg: Love that Collins treats exotics, like my pet rabbit. My poor bun had a congested nose and had been sneezing a lot, so I decided to take her in. This was my first visit to Collins, and I was impressed. Dr. LaPorta was very nice and explained everything so clearly. My rabbit usually gets very stressed out when she has to go to the vet, but she seemed far less freaked out than usual. We got the treatment she needed without spending too much time or money!
Carly Whitmer
Carly Whitmer: We had the most fantastic experience with Dr. Cabaniss with our two guinea pigs. She was in no rush, took her time explaining everything and made our two girls feel right at home and comfortable. Her tech, Darcy, was also great and was gentle and comfortable. We highly recommend Collins Animal Hospital. Wish we could give it 6 stars!
Response: Thank you so much for the review. We are glad Noogie and Scruffles had such a nice visit. We look forward to seeing them in the future.
MICHAEL WALLOVER
MICHAEL WALLOVER: I own a rabbit. What many would consider a normal pet is actually considered exotic by veterinarians. Finding Collins Hospital was great. Not only do they know how to handle animals, but they explain things very well and have nail clipping appointments. There is no question that I will be heading back to there many more times.

VCA MacArthur Animal Hospital: what do users think?
Emi Ruff
Emi Ruff: I really cannot recommend VCA MacArthur if you have a dog with anxiety. My pup can be afraid of vets, so he should be muzzled for the vets’ safety if they want. However, he is NOT aggressive, and most vets/groomers understand how to work with dogs like him. Most will also listen to me when I say this fear is recent, and I want to really make sure it doesn’t get worse. Not MacArthur. Our second time here, I took Teddy in for a booster shot, which was curbside. The tech saw the muzzle note on his file, and came to get him with the assumption he was aggressive. I am honestly shocked that she’s a vet tech — she talked over me and refused to listen to me explain that I’m happy to muzzle him, but wanted to talk to her about making sure it wasn’t going to further traumatize him. Obviously, any dog owner knows how the story ends — I got flustered trying to explain myself without raising my voice, Teddy sensed that something wasn’t right and freaked out, and we had a bad experience. I’m glad he was muzzled, because he ran out of there after his shot like something awful had happened, not like he was excited to see me. Two days later, I took him to a new daycare and he was terrified of the receptionists. How you treat dogs has a big impact. I’ll be switching to a vet that gets that. I’d pay their higher prices if they matched that with empathy in their staff, but the value is not there for me or my dog.
Response: Emi, we are disappointed by what you've shared. We're committed to doing everything we can to help our patients feel comfortable when they visit, so it's upsetting to hear that you do not feel like this was reflected in your experience. We'd like to further discuss this with you, so please send us an email at reviews.vcamacarthur@vca.com. Thank you.
Jonathan DeGange
Jonathan DeGange: We take our Boston here and are always treated well. Good yearly package options for checkups, incidentals and flea/heartworm.
Response: Jonathan, it's great to hear that you and your pet are always treated well here. Thank you for supporting us online!
Marcia Travlino
Marcia Travlino: This VCA is amazing! Brought our new puppy in and were treated so well. Dr. Friesh is FABULOUS. Takes the time to explain and truly listens to your questions. Another plus is its in Georgetown. Pretty easy to get to from Arlington. Definitely recommend VCA MacArthur.😀❤👍
Response: Marcia, thank you for your amazing support and recommendation of Dr. Frisch and our team who appreciate being here for you and your beloved puppy. If you ever need anything else, please let us know. Best regards, VCA MacArthur Animal Hospital
Jason Yeung
Jason Yeung: Knowledgeable staff and vets! They’ve done a great job at taking care of both my dogs. If you’re going to use them as your go-to vet for everything, I recommend enrolling your pups in the VCA CareClub. Depending on the dog it’s $50-$80 a month but it covers all the routine puppy check-ups, shots, vaccines, and some other things as well. They started offering grooming as well, however, I can’t speak to their quality. For my standard poodle (65lbs), I was quoted around $80-$100.
Response: Thank you for sharing your helpful insight, Jason. It makes us smile to know you found our team to be knowledgeable and helpful, and we encourage you to reach out anytime we can be of assistance.
Sarah Victoria
Sarah Victoria: VCA has cared for my goldendoodle Clover so much, even without the Plan he has been able to be squeezed in for an appointment when we were concerned about something. For example, my puppy was limping and I was very scared on the reasons why but they took him in has an emergency appointment and squeezed him in last minute and Checked him, with the right prescription given he was himself less than 3 days he stopped limping. How, The only concern and thing I would be aware about is the prices are high I wish VCA can accommodate their prices to be more efficient for patients, i can say they are high in prices but overall their staff and vets love my goldendoodle and they communicate every detail with your pet. My goldendoodle loves going to the vet because of them.
Response: Clover is very popular among our team, Sarah, and we appreciate knowing that we have your vote of confidence when it comes to his care. We value your support and will always be as accommodating as we can when it comes to our services. Thank you so much for your kind words.
G H
G H: Oh! They are extremely nice. Our Rottweiler (Whiskey Lullaby) is always happy whenever we visit them
Response: Thank you for the wonderful feedback! We're likewise more than happy to take good care of your precious dog! Sincerely, VCA MacArthur Animal Hospital
Grant Lockhard
Grant Lockhard: There were a number of communication issues with our recent check-up appointment for our dog. I was told to bring a stool sample, which I did. They didn’t ask for the the stool sample, but then drew blood without telling me or explaining that was their plan beforehand. No one asked when my dog had last taken medicine, or explained that I should wait for the test results before starting the prescription - I had to ask to verify. This could have been dangerous to my dog if I started meds without knowing to wait for the test results (which could have killed him). There was a lack of communication and understanding, on the purpose of the appointment and the procedures, while finding as many additional procedures (and extensive) After our appointment, the vet was highly focused on a different follow-up procedure, which while may be beneficial to our dog, unfortunately came off only as a money grab.
Response: Grant, we are truly sorry for any miscommunication you experienced, and can assure you that what you've described does not reflect our high standards for offering informative and thorough care. Your concerns are important to us and we definitely do not want to leave you with a negative impression of us. When you have a moment, please email our hospital manager at Nunet.Amen-Ra@vca.com. Sincerely, VCA MacArthur Animal Hospital
Tasia and June
Tasia and June: Great service from informed professionals who care for your pet. I was in and out in under an hour for an annual physical and rabies vaccine for my cat. My cat was pretty upset and anxious to be in a new place, but Charity was very gentle with her and conducted as much of the exam as possible with her still in the carrier. Dr. Murphy answered all of my questions thoroughly and both she and Charity were very kind to my cat.
Response: Tasia and June, thank you so much for sharing your kind words with us! Dr. Murphy, Charity, and our team are honored to treat your cat like one of our very own and address any questions or concerns you need. Sincerely, VCA MacArthur Animal Hospital
Justin
Justin: The doctors and staff take excellent care of Murphy. Dr. Elkins is great with our puppy and goes the extra mile to provide us with additional information and tips on how to raise a healthy golden retriever. Our pup loves visiting, he rushes up the stairs to say hello to all of his friends at the VCA. I highly recommend this vet!
Response: Justin, thank you so much for positively highlighting our doctors and staff, as it's been an honor for Dr. Elkins and our team to have been here for your precious Murphy. Thanks for the feedback and recommendation!

Dupont Veterinary Clinic: what do users think?
Marcela Pineda
Marcela Pineda: If I could give 0 stars, I would. My WORST NIGHTMARE! Back in 2020, on a 6th or July, we came with our HEALTHY, HAPPY AND LOVED Yorkshire Terrier- (Cocky) because he had been “acting weird” for the past few hours… he had vomited the night before and was coughing which never happened to him and so we decided to bring him in. As covid was going strong, we were not allowed to go in with him, Dr. MAVERICH took him in, he said his coughing was due to “stomach issues” “nothing to worry about” my sister and I insisted that he double checked as it wasn’t a regular occurrence for him however, again “nothing to worry about” prescribed him some cerenia “for his vomit” and painkillers. However, little did we know that this misdiagnosis and malpractice from this place would lead us to say goodbye to our best friend forever. Hours later, we called because he didn’t seem to get better, same response…We decided to go to the ER at another hospital and they did an RX and found out he had aspiration pneumonia (fluids in his lungs) which they said was obvious by the symptoms described, he was left there in a incubator for hours trying to reverse all the time we had lost from visiting Dupont Veterinary Clinic. It wasn’t possible. absolutely veterinary negligence/malpractice. It went against standard of care, as they didn’t care enough to throughly rule out anything other than guessing “stomach issues” and now my dog is DEAD. Took me two years to be able to write a review, as I am still mourning his death and feel shame for trusting this place and not trusting my gut feeling when I knew something other than what was diagnosed was going on. A tragedy and every pet parent’s WORST nightmare. No one deserves this pain, trusting professionals to MURDER one’s loved pet, not to mention the psychological distress caused on us. Will NEVER EVER recommend Dupont Veterinary Clinic to Anyone.
Response: We are very sorry for the traumatic experience you and family went through. No one should have to go through that. Unfortunately, recommended diagnostics were declined, which would have provided our staff with important information. This inhibits our ability to create a full treatment plan. In our field, the more information we received, the better we can treat our patients. I am not passing any fault on to you. Clients deny aspects of our treatments plans often. But to say that we didn't care or try is something we cannot stand for.
kristi viies
kristi viies: I have been taking my cat and dog there and the veterinarians have been nice, and the staff as well, until recently. Due to the pandemic and all the new puppies they are probably swamped, so I haven’t been able to get an appointment and have been going to Friendship Animal Hospital and VCA SouthPaws. I did, however, take my pup there this morning for wellness exam. I was late, walked in and apologized and said I had an appointment. The woman at the front desk said if you are 15 minutes late, you will have to reschedule. No good morning, no nothing. I looked at the time, it was barely 10 minutes. 7:38/39 instead of 7:30. I could have been the first customer. She left and meanwhile another member of staff walked in, very friendly (5 stars for her), said hello to my dog and checked me in. The first woman returned and said the exam fee is 75, but I would have to pay $150. Or that I can reschedule. I understand, rules are rules. Just be a bit nicer about it? Like sorry but I’m afraid you have to reschedule? However, it is safe to say she was rude. Bedside manners are important. I would expect a veterinarian office (a place full of cute cats and dogs) to have friendly people. I understand, clients can be difficult as well, but so often I see the opposite. So I’m going to a different vet now.
Kayla Cross
Kayla Cross: Today I was walking my dog and he started pulling on his leash. I was confused before I realized we were across the street from Dupont Circle Veterinary Clinic. My pup loves the people at the clinic so much he WANTS to go to the vet! It shows how well the staff takes care of him. As for quality of care, he’s gone here since he was 9 weeks old - they got him fully vaccinated on schedule during a very busy time and have taken in him for same day appointments when I have concerns. The clinic also did his neutering procedure and he healed quickly with no complications. He primarily sees Dr. Jones, who is extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly answers all my questions. I hope the clinic continues to expand their use of apps like VitusVet and online based appointment/contact systems. All in all, five star experience!
Response: Thank you for the positive review. Our staff really appreciates it. We are very happy that we have been able to provide Oscar with high quality medical care and for yourself excellent customer service. We look forward to seeing you and Oscar again.
Adrian Palma
Adrian Palma: The staff and vets are professional, attentive, and genuinely care about your pet. However, do think twice before buying any medication directly from them. A generic drug they just prescribed for my dog cost me $70+ at the DuPont Vet Clinic, while online sources price the same drug and quantity at $20. I support local businesses and understand that local prices will inevitably be higher, but this clinic’s med prices should not be 3.5x higher than other pharmacies. Again, this is a great place to get care for your pet, but please do your research on medicine costs before handing over your credit card to the receptionist.
Doug Deming
Doug Deming: Franc has made a complete recovery and is back to her loving, playful activities. Dr. Blalock was professional, knowledgeable, kind, and courteous to Franc and us. She is a rare doctor which has all of those attributes. Furthermore, the entire staff was friendly and helpful during our visit.
Response: Thank you for the positive review. We are so happy that Franc is doing well and that you were happy with the care our entire staff provided. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Taylor lewis
Taylor lewis: Critical: QualityVery disappointed in the level of care from DuPont vet. We have a very anxious rescue, and I would have expected staff to be more kind and not label her as "bad" as I expect more from animal caregivers. We will not return, and would not recommend if you want to feel you can trust your vet to take kind care of your pet.
Kwame Joseph Licensed Realtor
Kwame Joseph Licensed Realtor: Terrible and rude customer service. Whomever I spoke to have an insulting habit of talking down to you. I cannot and will never recommend this place. The sad thing I used to live down the street from them and I went there out of convenience. How we I cannot recommend becusee they do not know how to talk to their customers!
Response: I am sorry that you had a poor experience. Unfortunately we are not able to provide any goods to patients who have not had a examination with a veterinarian in the last year, or who have overdue diagnostics. This was the case here. Administering preventatives to a patient with overdue diagnostics can be harmful, causing adverse reactions.

District Veterinary Hospital Eastern Market: what do users think?
Chris Atkins
Chris Atkins: They were great! My dog had an excellent experience and he was really well taken care of. If your pet ever needs care make an appointment here. One of the best vets in Capitol Hill
Christel Schmidt
Christel Schmidt: My dog Hartley overcame his fear of the vet office with the help of our favorite tech Auntie Dev. Now Hartley loves to go visit there even when he doesn’t have an appointment. She even has him acting brave for shots & exams. It’s a real love story!
Kelly Ryan
Kelly Ryan: If I could give more stars, I would. Dr. Evans and crew are amazing. We started taking our French Bulldog puppy here as soon as he came home and have been nothing short of amazed at the quality care, support, and customer service. It’s easy to book an appointment, they communicate clearly before each visit, and follow up to check in on our pup afterwards. Most importantly, they are so very supportive, understanding, and offer great advice. Really impressed at every level!
Response: Hi Kelly! Thank you for the kind words and support! The crew works hard every day to provide the best care and service. I will share your warmth with everyone in our morning meeting tomorrow. Many thanks for the love.
Haley
Haley: I must say that I really appreciate this practice. The staff at District Vet Eastern Market have helped me keep my beloved pitbull happy and healthy, despite his chronic skin issues. Dr. Evans especially has been the primary care provider for my pup, and she has gone above and beyond. I trust them. They rock. 100% recommend.
Response: Thank you for the kind words and support! Dr. Evans is AWESOME. Many belly rubs.
Alexandra Champion
Alexandra Champion: Our pets have been patients of District Vets for years and we are so happy with the care our dogs have received there. It had been a few years since we lost our last dog and since we had been into the office. (Dr. Teich and Dr. Evans were amazing through that very difficult time). We recently adopted a 2 year old pointer and brought him in for his first check up. We were so pleased to find that the practice is as awesome as ever. Dr. Evans, Chantelle, and the entire team were so sweet and thorough throughout our pup’s appointment, patiently showed us how to administer ear medication (Chantelle works magic), promptly returned test results, and even reached out a few days later to check in to see how our pup was doing. It is extremely evident that everyone at the practice is not only very knowledgeable, but also truly cares about their patients. We are so grateful for everything they do!

District Veterinary Hospital Brookland: what do users think?
Olga F
Olga F: I come here a lot and the staff and the doctors are really nice and take good care of my cat. Where they can improve is their organizational skills. I sometimes come in and no one notifies the vet techs that I’ve arrived after I check in. Sometimes no one responds to my emails. Sometimes multiple people respond to my same email. Other than that I am very happy.
HM Bush
HM Bush: They are probably one of the better vet offices in DC. I use to see Dr. Walker with my first dog (my dog passed away some years ago) and my experience was amazing. I now have a dog and cats and no Dr. Walker. I will say the prices seem to have gone up a little and service down a little. There seem to be more services/costs added on, to the point where I’ve spent an extra $100 - $200 on who knows. I hate to complain about prices because their service is still better than other offices that cost the same/more and the vets are nice. Front desk staff are always great! I’ve visited so many other vet offices (due to having an elderly dog with issues) in DC with my first dog, and this is the only place I’ve been happy with.
dani ro
dani ro: They are simply the best. They are friendly and pet lovers with amazing follow up an spirit to help. We are moving from DC to Hong Kong (which has one of the worlds most strict rules for pets) and they helped us during the whole process.. from buying a microchip they don’t manage (ordering one just for us) to hundreds of certificates. Can’t thank enough y the whole team. Highly recommend them
Samantha Mara
Samantha Mara: Dr. Tripp, his vet tech, and the front desk staff were all wonderful, helpful, and answered all my questions as a nervous dog mom. Contact with the office prior to the appointment was also easy and straightforward. Would recommend to all my pet parent friends!
Anna Elizabeth
Anna Elizabeth: I used to love this location. Dr. Dan talked to my dog more than he talked to me and I was so happy about that. The last two times I’ve gone they make it really challenging to get meds from anywhere else. Their prices for meds are 10x what’s available on the market, so I’m sure they make a huge profit. If you don’t buy the Rx from them they are VERY reluctant to approve it anywhere else, which is really unethical in my opinion. And it ultimately harms the animals as we can’t all afford the $10/pill prices they charge.
Response: Hi - Can you send me a quick note through the front desk email? I'd like to see where the hiccups occurred with you. Phone confirmations to pharmacies, especially several big chain pharmacies, have given us serious problems with the pharmacists filling prescriptions wrong! We do like to use written prescriptions to help prevent this problem. We really try to not make it difficult. Drop me a note and let's discus and we can see how we can make it easier for you. dt,dvm
Gregg Moreland
Gregg Moreland: District Veterinary has been with me, first with my aging shipoo several years ago when I moved to DC, and with my Shih Tzu puppy now. They helped with end of life activies and new puppy wellness (during a pandemic). I recommend District Veterinary Hospital to everyone who asks.
Colin Bill
Colin Bill: Love this vet and highly recommend! Anastasia has been so kind and patient with me and my husky 🦊. Thanks Anastasia! 💖
Denise Jones
Denise Jones: Jiggy, my dog had to be euthanized yesterday. He loved going there. He was very ill and treated like a king. I love how they made his last day beautiful. My thanks for all they do!
Inga A
Inga A: The staff will go above and beyond to make things right for your furry friends! Dr. Jacobson is amazing!

CityPaws Animal Hospital: what do users think?
Rodrigo Clark-Turrent
Rodrigo Clark-Turrent: Dr. Knight and her team at CityPaws, as usual since we started using the clinic for our dogs’ health since 2014, goes above and beyond to take care of our girls. We couldn’t be happier, nor would we trust the health of our beloved girl to anyone else!
Nina Dsa
Nina Dsa: This was my first time visiting an animal clinic in DC. I had a really good experience. Everyone was very friendly and warm and as soon as they saw me waiting outside in the cold with my cat, they took him inside and tried to set up a heater for me outside. They were pretty good in terms of Covid practices and I felt very comfortable. They also handled my cat really well, gave him his shots and check-up, and were very affectionate towards him. All in all, they put my mind at ease and were very helpful.
Response: Thank you for the wonderful review.
Ritha Khemani
Ritha Khemani: I went to 3513 City Paws for info . I was going to be looking after my son’s dog for a few weeks , and they were close to where I lived. I asked whether there were always vets there on the premises. . If there was an emergency , I asked could I drive over to them for some help during her working hours . Before a vet who was right there could answer, a lady at the desk interrupted brusquely and said NO. They were not that kind of a service and they would just ask me to go to a hospital . She mentioned something in Georgetown. I said I was so ignorant about dogs and would they not be able to help for simple emergencies like if the dog swallowed something and was kinda choking ? This lady was so rude ( she told me her name was Brygj) snd said they would just send me to the hospital . They were “a clinic” and not a hospital . I was too taken aback by her rudeness to even ask why they are called City Paws Hospital , in thst case. Could you the owners of this rude place tell me whether this is your policy and if so , why do you mislead people by calling yourself a hospital and not a dog salon ?- since according to her you only do things like cutting toenails and the like ? This incident occurred on June 14 around 3pm . Thanks
Denise W
Denise W: Bery good care for my cats and wonderful care with cat who had odd symptoms that ended up requiring surgert. They suggested alternatives first before considering surgery.
Marlene Church
Marlene Church: This vet office has poor service. never on time with appts, when you call no one answers during business hours and overbooked with time slotsI will not use them but whose another vet to care for your pet

Austin Graff
Austin Graff: When we got a puppy, our friends recommended this vet in a rowhouse along Pennsylvania Avenue. They were right- we love it! The staff are friendly, efficient and our dog loves them!
Jennifer
Jennifer: Friendly staff, reasonable prices and wait times are not long. They seem to very carefully schedule appointments to minimze the number of possible pet interactions in the waiting area or hall. Procedures and diagnoses are throughly explained in plain language and estimates for recommended follow-up care are provided. Definitely recommend!
Zeus 93
Zeus 93: I love this place! I have been taking my 9 month old puppy here since he was 2 months. They are great with my dog knowing exactly who he is without them calling for us. My dog always comes back happy and so that makes me happy. Great place 👌
Tyrisa Salmond
Tyrisa Salmond: Been coming here for a few years now. Quality care at an affordable rate.
Deborah witherspoon
Deborah witherspoon: Been going here for about 6 years now and I love the care that my dogs get. This year, one dog stopped walking suddenly and Dr. Murphy knew exactly what was wrong right away and made sure we went to the proper place for him to get surgery. Not to mention that the front desk ladies are amazing as well.
Response: It means so much to us to have your trust in taking care of your dogs all these years, Deborah -- thank you. We'll be here to give your pups the best care we can, and we'll be here anytime you need. -Dr. Murphy, Business Owner

Tranquility Vets: what do users think?
Lucy Ballentine
Lucy Ballentine: I called Tranquility on what was probably the worst day of my life in recent memory. My beautiful George had reached her end and we needed to offer her some comfort. To be honest, my husband and I needed comfort too - this was an awful day and the idea of taking her to a visiting vet in a busy vets office was too much to deal with. Not to mention, the stress it would have added to George. From the first phone call - me hysterically in tears - to when Dr. Chan arrived to our house, our grief was validated, understood, and respected. George was addressed lovingly and she was cared for in the same way I would have done myself. Thank you. The card we received 2 weeks later letting us know a tree was planted in George’s honor was emotional and reminded me all over that we made an excellent choice in calling Tranquility Vets.
Raananna Barksdale
Raananna Barksdale: This was an incredibly difficult time for our family, losing one of our much-beloved boys. Dr. Rathjens was calm, patient, compassionate, and as tender with our darling as if he were her own. The pet cremation and memorialization organization that she partners with (if needed) was likewise impeccable. I really appreciated everything--including the short-notice availability--that took the guesswork and "what do we do next?" out of it, and just let us be with him as he passed peacefully into the sunset.
Chad Levinson
Chad Levinson: We had to say goodbye to our old friend the day after Christmas. Despite being a holiday weekend, Tranquility Vets responded quickly and a professionally. Dr. Maia was a kind, reassuring presence. She guided us through the process calmly, clearly, and compassionately. Though our hearts remain broken, we are grateful to her and the entire team at Tranquility.
rhiannon swanson
rhiannon swanson: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ResponsivenessDr. Maia came to our home, during a really tough time, to euthanize our beloved family dog. She was just so kind and patient. She explained the process so that we knew what to expect. She was very gentle with us and the dog and we couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful and thoughtful process. Thank you Dr. Maia!
Jennifer Mitchell
Jennifer Mitchell: As excruciating as it is to say goodbye, the service offered by Tranquility Vets was exceptional. From the initial call, I felt kindness and empathy throughout a very difficult time. Thank you to the entire team for helping to send my girl off in peace and love.
Response: Hi Jennifer, Thank you so much for the kind words about our service. These times are never easy and it was honor to be of service. Your review lets us know we’re on the right track. Thank you.

Banfield Pet Hospital: what do users think?
Saints Finders
Saints Finders: Thank you for taking care of saint nails today. The front desk pet nurses were very nice and friendly. I told them our situation and they were able to help Saint and get him back to being normal. This was our first time walking in on a Saturday and couldn’t have had a nicer experience. Thank you and god bless you! Woof woof.
Response: We're so glad that you had a great experience when you brought Saint in! Thanks for sharing your positive experience. We look forward to seeing you both again soon.
Ricardo Rodriguez
Ricardo Rodriguez: Very professional and helpful personal, I received a cop of a wanted certificate in no time and without any problem. Thanks Banfield and keep up with the good work.
Response: We appreciate your kind words and positive feedback, Ricardo! We're glad you were able to get your pet's certificate quickly.
Abby Nydam
Abby Nydam: We have been clients of Banfield since 2019 and it has been a mixed bag. Last year we were impressed with the COVID protocols and aside from one cancellation because the vet was sick, we had no problems. We found the vets and staff to be communicative and thorough. Until today. After weeks of waiting for a routine check-up appointment, we arrived at our appointment time and called the number to alert the staff that we had arrived. We called 15 times, no one answered and the answering service said, "we are currently closed." Finally someone came out and told me that the phones were in fact, working -- I called on speaker in front of them to prove that the phones were not working. Finally, after waiting for 20 minutes in the heat, someone came out and to take my dog and said that it would be several hours (? - for a check-up) until pick-up because they were short-staffed. There was no way I was leaving my dog there -- if the check-in process did not inspire confidence -- it was doubtful the remaining experience would. Given that similar experiences have been on-going for several months based on the reviews here -- it seems that Banfield has made no effort to correct them. We will take our business elsewhere.
Response: Hi Abby - We apologize for your frustrations with the wait time and check-in process during your pet's visit with us. Please reach out to our Client Advocate Team at BanfieldCares@banfield.com, at your convenience, so that we can address your specific concerns.
Gabriel Mata
Gabriel Mata: Great and attentive staff. Although, sometimes they may get backed up because of all the appointments. I highly recommend that if you have to get a prescription, price match with chewy.com. They will price match, just send them the price via email. Make sure to make your appointments way in advance. This is a busy location.
Allison Vega
Allison Vega: I get they’re understaffed but every time I’ve called since June 2020 it’s been a month long wait time for an appointment and been made clear to me my pet isn’t a priority even after charging me hundreds of dollars for an issue that still hasn’t been resolved. Often times they don’t pick up the phone at all. Will be switching to a different vet after today.
Response: We're sorry to hear about the challenges you've had making an appointment, Allison. If you're an Optimum Wellness Plan member, don't forget you can also access Vet Chat and talk to a vet 24/7 from the Banfield website or app. We'll share your concerns about scheduling and availability with the team and help them find a scheduling solution. If you would like to discuss this with your local hospital's leadership team, please email us at BanfieldCares@banfield.com with your account details and the best way for us to reach you.
Ryan Verhulst
Ryan Verhulst: Doctors are fine but service is appalling. They not figured out how to adapt COVID protocols 1.5 years after the start of the pandemic. I had to wait 15 minutes outside with my cat who doesn’t go outside and was terrified of all the noises to have to spend another 15 minutes on hold when I tired to get him picked up. In the mean time two other clients arrived called and got assisted immediately. At best I was offered a very non sincere apology. They provide good care but desperately need to figure out their service and how to manage simple check in and check
Response: Hi Ryan - Thank you for sharing this with us. We are sorry to hear about your frustrations with us and that you haven’t had a good experience with this visit. May we have an opportunity to address your concerns? Please reach out to our Client Advocate Team at BanfieldCares@banfield.com at your convenience so we can try to do so. Thank you.
Claudia Giles
Claudia Giles: We are new patients at the Adams Morgan location and absolutely loved our vet. Our puppy ended up having an upset stomach and the Adam’s Morgan location was unable to help me due to our vet being at another Banfield Location in DC that day. After being bounced around, I finally got the email of the vet and she prescribed my puppy medicine to the Adam’s Morgan location. After calling them they were not nice, and told me that I would have to drive to Navy Yard to pick up the prescription due to the Vet being there for the day. I live 1 block away from the Adam’s Morgan location, and having a sick puppy is already stressful. Why should I have to go across town to a location I’ve never been to to pick up medicine for my sick puppy. Terrible customer service.

Robert Meltzer
Robert Meltzer: Great vets and office!! Love the new space with the old sign. Vets are very thoughtful and get back to me by phone with answers to my questions or email me info. Office staff is very nice. Been with them for almost 4 years and the only place I take my cat! Great place!

Shirlington Animal Hospital: what do users think?
Melissa Balazinski
Melissa Balazinski: This vet has been amazing to my two dogs since moving here 2 yrs ago. I have an older Boston who’s recently had some health issues and they have been so helpful and accommodating in trying to figure it out. When my French bulldog had a tumor they were able to remove it right away. They are always very communicative and great at explaining step by step what should be done in caring for my pets. They are a genuine caring team and for that I’m very appreciative.
Britta D
Britta D: Dr. Cullen is as good as all the other reviews say he is. He takes time to go over all the details thoughtfully and compassionately. Very professional and caring about our cats. Staff is always professional and helpful.
Sedef M. Buyukataman
Sedef M. Buyukataman: I had been bringing my dogs here for two years, since I moved into the area. The staff is professional, the doctors seemed nice, but they’re not gonna be there for you when you need the most. I had taken my 10-year-old dog to the groomers next door when I picked him up the groomer inform me but my dog had been much more listless than normal and that she struggled to actually brush him down fully. I took him outside and he peed bright red. Terrified I rushed into the vet, my vet, next door for help. It was 5:34 pm on a Friday evening, their hours are listed til 6pm. When I walked in I was confronted by three young technicians I tried to explain what was happening. The first question was are you a patient here, it struck me as odd since I was coming in with an animal in need, but I responded yes and then I had just been in two weeks earlier for his annual check up. They told me they were closed and there was nothing they could do. They shoved a piece of paper with five or six emergency hospitals listed and told me to get out. No advice on what to do, no concern as to my animal and his general state, just get out. They even refused to try and contact a doctor, they didn’t touch my dog they just sat at their desks with a cold stare that let me know that all they wanted to do was go out for the night, I was bothering them and my dog could die for all they cared. Oh and they didn’t have any time free to see him the next morning, I was on my own to figure it out. I finally found an emergency clinic who could take us. My dear angel crossed the bridge that evening. I called the next day to leave a message to speak to his doctor, they informed me she wouldn’t be in until Wednesday and they’d pass the message along then but couldn’t guarantee she’d call. I was later contacted by an office manager to weakly apologize for what she heard happened Friday - i assume she was worried when she saw my message for the doctor and I told her that no amount of I’m sorry could change what happened, I wanted to speak to the doctor about my dogs last physical not waste time with her poor excuses. I informed her that we would be finding another vet after getting such careless and heartless and uncaring behavior from her team. I have already gotten an appt with another vet for my remaining dog. I would never trust these callous heartless quacks with an animal again. If you’re not going to be there on someone’s worst day then what is the point. I deeply regret trusting them with my beloved animals lives, I won’t make that mistake again. They’re awful. I can’t say that enough. Maybe they should consider hiring staff that actually like animals. Might be a great place to start. Monsters.
Nazanin Malek
Nazanin Malek: All the staff were professional and doctors spending really much time for checking and explaining each pet’s to their owners. Everywhere was so clean and my dog was a little nervous at first but they treated her very well and made her relax. 100% recommend it. #animalhospital #pet
Maria Gueriera
Maria Gueriera: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, ValueDr. Snelgrove and her staff are terrific in every way. They helped my family so much through a very unpleasant experience with our newly adopted dog. Not only were they very professional, they openly expressed their human side of kindness, compassion and genuine concern and care. So very grateful for this practice.
Kristina G
Kristina G: Can’t say enough good things about Dr Cullen and his team! We are a military family- moving every 3 years makes finding a vet we love at each place not so easy. We hit a jackpot here. Dr Cullen is down to earth- answers all your questions/ goes over pros & cons and doesn’t make you feel rushed out of the door or he’s too busy for you. Our dog had bloodwork done and Dr Cullen called and went over all the results. The staff was able to cut my dogs nails with no issues (extremely rare) and I could hear them cheering for him and saying nice things to him all the way in the lobby. Great place to bring your pet!

Rock Creek Home Veterinary Care: what do users think?
Jonathan Blumenthal
Jonathan Blumenthal: My dogs and I have been a client of Dr. Tanouye for over a decade. She is very careful and provides loving medical care based on sound scientific evidence. I have no doubt she cares for her clients like her own pets. There is currently a lot of confusion about the cause of diet-related dilated cardiomyopathy. Dr. Tanouye is taking a cautious approach to preventing this disease among her clients and I appreciate this because I care more about the health of my dog than loyalty toward a type of dog food.
Max Lang
Max Lang: Rick Creek Home Veterinary Care is so completely full genuine tenderness and caring intent that when they visit to take care of our pets it feels like a visit from family. Also, when the time comes to lay our companions to rest, we are comforted to know that we can do so at home; around familiar faces, places, and smells. World class services, world class humans.
Kirsten Eyles
Kirsten Eyles: Dr Tanouye has been our vet for 8 years and I cannot speak more highly of her! We have two dogs and two cats. Having a vet who comes to our home is not a time saver and a real comfort to our very nervous hound and cats who don’t like travel. She treats them with such love and care and even has done a blood draw in the yard where the nervous dog in question was most comfortable. Her clinical expertise has seen us through a variety of ailments including cancer treatment for my previous 18 year old cat. When it came time to put the cat to sleep Dr. Tanouye came to our home and facilitated the most loving, compassionate, beautiful exit for him, something for which I will always be grateful. She is an exceptional vet and human being!
Laurie Prober
Laurie Prober: Dr Tanouye is so compassionate! She truly cares about all of her patients and clients! Thank you, Dr Tanouye, for all that you do.
Dalynne Sanborn
Dalynne Sanborn: Dr. Malachi was awesome! I no longer need to keep searching for a veterinarian!!

Georgetown Veterinary Hospital: what do users think?
Cassia Denton
Cassia Denton: Dr. Morgan is the absolute best veterinarian in the city. You will not find a kinder, more loving, more competent professional in the game, and his staff go above and beyond to make your pet feel like their own. I have referred multiple people to this office and every single one now has a vet for life!
Response: Thank you so much! I am honored to be Turkeys vet!
Vanessa Hurley
Vanessa Hurley: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, ValueWe recently brought our rescue dog, Lady, for a check-up and were delighted with the kind, professional and caring staff at Georgetown Veterinary Hospital. The doctors and staff here take time to explain every aspect of their treatment suggestions and we left feeling confident that Lady is in the best of hands!
Heather W.
Heather W.: Dr. Morgan is amazing and takes such good care of our sweet Weimaraner. Our dog has needed two surgeries - one dog bite and one cut paw from shrapnel in the woods. We are so happy with the level of care and results. There is almost no scar. Dr. Morgan is our routine vet now as well. I also find Dr. Morgan’s wife who works the reception desk to be extremely nice and attentive.
Lauren Roy
Lauren Roy: Dr Lee Morgan and staff are incredibly kind and don’t over prescribe treatments or procedures. We have taken our pets here for 10 years and can not recommend them enough for care of Dogs, older and puppies. Dr. Morgan works outside the office as a non profit vet for Police Dogs and the Alaskan Iditarod. Amazing Veterinarian and person.
