Brittany Danielle: Donald James (DJ) is amazing! He is so quick, clean in his work, doesn’t make a mess, cleans as he goes, not of man of many words because his work speaks for itself. I am so impressed! I never have gone to Ulta to get my hair done. I’m nervous letting anyone touch my hair, especially color. I’ve had really really bad experiences in the past. Donald James has restored my trust. I will forever go to him!!!! The first picture you can see what I asked for, and the other 3 photos you can see what was delivered. The last 2 pictures are the true color of my hair in natural light vs. my bathroom light color. I highly recommend DJ if they are looking for perfection. He is truly a gem at the salon in Ulta!

Katherine Shaffer: Don’t go here, you’ll have a better experience at Great Clips. I booked for the first time as my normal DC hairstylist was booked for the next couple weeks and all I needed was to remove a few layers (straight across cut) and refresh the edges. From the moment I walked in, the stylist was inattentive, distracted talking to someone (not an employee) and bluntly not trying. I almost walked out before the haircut and should have. During the shampoo she was distractedly “patting” my head and staring into the distance. I bluntly asked her what she was doing “oh, giving you a special massage” was the answer. But it wasn’t a massage, it was patting my head limply. It felt awkward and confusing. Then during the haircut she took the scissors to it about 3 times. She cut off the layers in one-go and didn’t even try to refresh the tips anywhere else or readjust the face framing to match. Literally just cut two inches straight across from the back and then blow dried for 30 minutes … lazily and slowly. It felt intentionally bad. Like she was trying to do a bad job though I have no idea what the motivation would be! I will have to get my haircut with my usual salon in two weeks. Such bad customer service. Not worth the risk, don’t do it!

Juliet Shaw: Can’t say enough great things about this place. I had to go a last minute shoot for a project I’m working on and stopped by to grab a few things. James was perfection! He helped me out with so much and really took his time to make sure I was happy. I was u see so much pressure and stressing out but he was oh so calm and reassuring. You were awesome and my savior thank you!!

Y A: Unprofessional if not outright discriminatory treatment in Salon Services Dept. To clarify-- James the Desk Manager was very attentive & helpful. However, when I inquired from a Stylist for flat-ironing rates, she simply popped around a corner, said "It depends" and left. I also need to point out that this Business is listing elevated charges for "Texturized" [read: Black & Other-than-Caucasian] hair services, which I thought we don't do anymore in 2022??

Stephanie Lopez: I highly recommend James at the salon. He is sweet, funny and excellent with hair! Also, he is very accommodating (I have a hearing loss). We will definitely bring returning soon!

Chayah Consulting: I think the sales person who helped was Kate or Katie. But she was awesome! The initial young lady left me to go help another customer and she was helping select makeup. Katie stepped up to the plate and helped me with finding eyelashes and also a replacement NYX lipstick. Checkout was easy and quick!

Kristin Cairns: Very unhappy with the salon experience. Waited 40 minutes before being notified that my appointment would be delayed 2 hours. Waited around for over an hour and then the appointment was cancelled 10 minutes prior to start time.

Apoorva Nadkarni: I had a Really great experience with shade matching at this Ulta store. I was having difficulty finding my correct shade. But the make up associate that was present there helped me select a good shade for my skin tone. I told her I don’t ever use foundation and she was even kind enough to give me some nice tips. Kia D: I love this Ulta location! I usually shop online, but i like coming in-store sometimes plus returns are easy enough to make if need be. There's great sync with the Ulta app/points. It's always been a clean, inspiring place with knowledgeable yet chill staff. I feel comfortable going in that store, plus of course, there's always a new fun beauty treat to find ❤️

Cheyanne trav: Super disappointed in the Ulta Salon. I came in for a hair cut and asked for long layer. The stylist and I had a miscommunication & i wish she clarified every step to be sure. Instead I walked out with a choppy haircut. normally hair is cut little by little. instead a huge chunk of my hair was chopped off. It took me forever to grow my hair out, and the stylist chopping about 4-6 off. Definitely do not recommend haircuts there.

Latoya Crump: The customer service sucked!! I usually don't shop at this location. My preferred location is VA, but I was in the area so thought I'll check it out to purchase some essentials. I purchased Origins items that qualified for a free gift item. When checking out, I had to ask the cashier about the free item. Shee didn't bother to acknowledge that I'll be receiving a free on today's purchase. So the gift item was sold out, and I was told I can receive something equivalent to a gift moisturizer. She threw some type of face spray in my bag. When I inquired about a moisturizer, she ripped open the packaging of belif items (2) and gave me 1. Her co-worker informed her it was a bundle and I should receive both items. When it was ready for me pay, she didn't bother to ask if I wanted to use my 250+ points on my purchase. I had to ask about my points as well as my free birthday gift. I'm big on customer service, this cashier just did not have the energy for it.

K A: Ulta Beauty is a one stop shop for all beauty supplies. They have a very wide selection of makeup products. And also there’s a salon, skin bar, brow bar, and a fragrance section.The store is fully stocked, very neat and well organized. I was there yesterday to purchase my face powder and the lady that attended to me was nice and patient enough to help me pick the right shade. First time here and I would definitely revisit. And yes, their restroom is very clean. Impressive!!! Jazmin Bibb: Omg!!! So I was in there for Fenty and of course that didn't have my shade😮‍💨🙄 this is the 3rd store. But I was still going to buy some fenty. About to get more stuff, when I over heard an employee tell a customer there is 25% off all fenty. Excited, I was almost headed to the register when another employee said "the discount is only for Ulta employees". It was about 5 other women who heard this employee make the statement of the sale. Now, being a store, you would think that they would honor that since it was misscomunnication, and false advertising on their part. NO!!! What they should have done was honor ot for those 5 women who were spending money, who heard the announcement. This makes me never want to go into that particular store again. I will just go online, since they can't properly communicate towards one another in their morning meeting before they open.😒😒

Nadiya Abbasi: They offer curbside pickup but as I checked in online, it said that curbside is not available for the store pickup. I entered and asked for the pick up. While waiting I thought to check some items to buy in store. A sales girl came n said "R you ready to checkout" the body language was like "why are you touching the things" I said the other lady is helping me. She was standing by me as I will steal something n I had my phone n wallet in my hand. She kept staring me as I am a criminal. This is quite disrespectful. Now I ordered for home delivery. I am no longer interested to go in there. Not recommended

Walter Holmes: Candace was very helpful! She helped my wife find the perfect foundation and concealer. She was very knowledgeable.

Valerie Cantoral: Worst experience ever they had a sale advertised and when I was paying they told me it was expired even though they had it on still with the product. I ask for help and they told me they were closing in 20 minutes and they couldn't help any more. Cashier was not kind at all. Never coming back I even left all the products that I was buying.

Alex L: THE WORST. Booked a hair appointment. 30 minutes later the stylist still hadn't even seated me. What is the point of an appointment if you don't honor the times. People are busy and have things to do. Previously loyal customer- I won't be back. There are hundreds of salons to choose from. The stylist and manager were both extremely unapologetic and didn't seem to care.

G Msd: I started going to that location since October 2020 when I started working in Fairfax. The service was always great until one person ruined my last experience at this store on January 14th 2022. I stopped by to return some items I purchased online and the cashier was cold, had atitude and seemed mad for processing a return. She was a white girl with long dark hair and long disgusting nails. Please remind your employees that the returns won’t affect their pockets. Also it was almost time to close the store and I didn’t know the closing time had changed to one hour earlier. I always went there in the end of my shift after 7pm and the store used to close at 8pm. But she insisted on saying that those hours were holiday hours. The store used to close at 8pm since before I started going there in 2020. But yeah, one bad experience can ruin the image of a business. Train your employees to have better customer service. I worked in retail for over 5 years and know how tiring it can be. But it’s not the customers’ fault you’re tired or having a bad day. Don’t like what you do? Do like I did, change jobs.

Thikra Ahmed: I didn’t like the treatment I did at the salon today, when I visit the salon two days ago, one of the staff told me that my hair need a treatment it’s call olaplex , and she told me that they will put the treatment on my hair for 45 minutes and after that my hair will be healthy, when I did the treatment today and asked her if the treatment will change the hair color, she asked other lady if ( the deep conditioner) change the hair color. The process take 15 minutes only , because they put me a deep conditioner and not olaplex and they charge me for the olaplex which is more expensive. The treatment was less than the normal conditioner I use at home 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

ola malas: So bad and rude, I had appointment at 12, I was waiting until 1:10 because the hair stylist has another customer at the same time, it's not the first time she does this, nlbut the worst part when I told the manger this , and she said, it's normal to wait more than one hour at the salon!!!!!!!! The bollywood salon And spa: I stood there in line to checkout for 10 minutes no one was in front of me and no one was behind me . The two cashiers stood there talking to each other . They did not acknowledge that I was there . They didn’t tell me to wait they didn’t ask me to check out and they did not greet me . The worst service I ever got . . Amanda Parker (ArtistAParker): Products always seem fresh to me. I love that you can try out the hair dryers. Prices need checking for some items. I like this place though, it's reliable.

jenny menjivar: I had a hair appointment with fareena today and she did a fantastic job on delivering the service I asked for, maybe even more than what I asked for. I am super in love with how my hair came out and I will definitely be coming back to see her. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for an expert stylist!

Your Personal Stylist The Closet Maestra: I’ve been going to Sara at the benefit brow bar for years and years, I don’t let anyone else touch my brows because she’s truly an expert! The service is always awesome, she makes the process fun, easy, and quick which is perfect for me! I can’t recommend Sara enough, she’s amazing!

Achal Kalicharan: I sent my sister to do an in- store pick up. She informed me that initially the associate was going to give my order but required ID and they would only do it once. Fair enough. However, the associate apparently then stopped, as my sister almost had the bag in her hand, proceeded to stare at my sister..... then decided to treat my sister like a thief and call the manager. I am more to happy to obey the rules, but they could have informed my sister more politely AND certainly could have been more straightforward, in saying that they would give it to her, then suddenly take it back. Poor customer service....and seedy associates. The manager was considerate when I talked to her...so at least there is that. I love ulta...if you live close by just go to the fair lakes one....good advice, I have never felt misled, and the associates are KNOWLEDGEABLE.

Monet Hewitt: I had a very bad experience at a different Ulta store. I came to this store to do an exchange of a foundation and concealer. Katherine was the BEST at helping me find news ones. Not only was her color matching spot on but she was very helpful and patient as I wanted to look at different brands of foundation. Trying to find foundation that matches can be difficult but when someone is as personable and knowledgeable as she is, it makes it so much better. Thank you so much Katherine!! This store is a little further than the other location but I will gladly make the drive if my experience will always be as pleasant as this one. Side note: I am currently wearing the foundation and concealer she picked out and I am LOVING IT. She knows her stuff.

Brittany Timney: I moved to VA in September and have been to this store multiple times and have been disappointed EVERY TIME! The one girl at the check out is super slow and it took 20 minutes to return one product! The Benefit Brow Bar employee constantly tries to rush my appointment and I definitely don’t feel welcomed or appreciated in THIS STORE. The employees are also not helpful and are always “too busy” to help the customer. I’ve seen, heard and been told, “im too busy right now”. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE Wilmington, DE store and this store is the complete opposite of that store!

Norma Brent: I was in almost a month ago 1/8/2022 and spent $183.91 I was told my card was not working. I knew it was paid off and had no balance but I was holding up the line so I gave them another card. I went to the car and called on my Ulta card, they had no idea what I was talking about and said they showed no decline. I went back in the store and per Ulta's advice had them refund my bankcard and rerun my Ulta card so I would get my points. What a mistake! as of now I have been charged twice for a large balance. Ulta has done nothing to correct and I will need to go through my bank to fix the mistake of the checker. NEVER again will I step in that store. Heed my warning if they say your card is not working WALK OUT. someone is going to take your money and you will waste a lot of your time trying to get it back Sephora has my business from now on.

T Ni: I went in to purchase 3 bottle of perfume and all of the tester bottles were empty. There were a total of 6 employees on the floor and no one greeted me when I entered the store nor did they ask me if I needed assistance. When I asked for the bottles of perfume that I wanted to purchase one employee told me they didn’t have it and she didn’t even look. After 10 minutes of no help I asked for her to check the back and they had all of the perfumes. Needless to say the customer service experience was HORRIBLE. I will not be spending anymore of my money at a place that treats it’s customer so poorly.

The new people there have the biggest attitude and never seem to want to help anyone, especially at the registers, Kaylee especially I don’t understand why she seems to be so rude, has the biggest attitude and doesn’t even try to hide her the ugly faces she gives to customers ! girl if you don’t want to work there get a new job but don’t be so aggressive with everyone !

Rusen Gul: I had a brow appointment on the day before Christmas Eve. I grew my eyebrows in anticipation, and had high hopes. The store called me literally 10 mins before my appointment, while I was nearly by the store (after a long drive), and canceled. Very unprofessional. I understand things can come up but expect a much longer heads up. My time is valuable and it is unacceptable to leave me hanging right on a Holiday, and without even an apology. Never again.

Anas: been customer for many times , but until this week when i went to buy a parfume and asked where i can grab the item from , i understand they have them locked for security reasons but when she took the item she kept it and walked to behind the counter and put there and i waited in line empty handed till its my turn to pay i felt like i was treated as a thief worse than that when i got home i discovered that i was given the wrong one cuz i didnt had chance to see so instead of making customer feel like thiefs its better to improve you security systems ... never coming back to this place again

Val spiegler: I had my short hair cut here about three weeks ago I had to leave my hair stylist of 12 years because of the lax masking policy. I brought a couple of pictures with me because my hair had a grown a little too much for any stylist to follow the way I've worn it for years. She had to go to her car to retrieve her clippers. This was a red flag, already. When she came back, she asked me to fold my ears back to cut around them! She still did an awful job. When she cut the rest of my hair, she destroyed the entire shape by cutting off most of the short crown and not even with any precision. Every single area of my hair is chopped up, including the back. Thank heaven I didn't let her cut my bangs. Had she done that, I would have had to buy a wig until my hair grew in. Now I have a huge challenge to find someone willing and able to start repairing my haircut! The stylist was sweet but obviously knew nothing about cutting short hair. Truly my worst cut in 40 years! I felt badly for her for some reason and left her a good tip. This totaled a lot of money down the drain. I wasn't going to post a review but when I read the many rave reviews she has received, I had to warn anyone with short hair to stay away from one of your Elite stylists. job even then. Monica Melendez: Why put EXPIRED beauty products on SALE? From MARCH 03/20/2021 REALLY? Come on now!!! I wonder how many other people have bought things on SALE/CLEARANCE and didn’t even notice it was EXPIRED. As a beauty store you should not put EXPIRED items on sale just to get inventory out, instead you should dispose of it!!! Shame on you! Alia Reza: So pleased with the service at this store. My powder shade was discontinued recently and they went out of their way to help me find a new one. I had to make 3 trips to the store and return powders that were wrong twice. No one ever complained or made me feel unwelcome, despite the fact that I felt sort of bad doing that myself. They gave me many options to try and didn't rush me. Finally found the right one thank to them!

Lauren Szymanoski: First of all, I indicated with my online order order that this would be a curbside pickup. I parked at curbside pickup and when I hit the the email button “I’m here” I received a “pick up not available” response so I was annoyed and forced to go inside. It was around 7 pm and from what I could see there were few customers, none at the checkout counter and at least two sales associates nearby. I went to the counter, told her I was picking up and was handed a sealed bag without any buyer name on it. I started out the door and could feel that the bag had more than the one item I ordered in it so I opened it up, noticed two items I hadn’t ordered and went back to the register. I returned 2 out of 3 items without looking at the one that I thought was mine because it was a blue liquid of the same color in a clear bottle like the item I had ordered. The cashier looked dumbfounded when I brought the bag mistake to her attention. Then I drove home only to discover that the bottle with the blue liquid in it was not the astringent I ordered but an eye make-up remover! Now I have to find time that I don’t have to go back tomorrow and deal with a screw up that shouldn’t have happened in the first place. I have never picked up any thing anywhere where there the bag or order did’t have a name on the outside. I purposely stacked a group of errands in the same area at once to save time and gas. What a complete waste of my time! I hope they plan to reimburse my gas costs when I return!

Nyx Shadows (Nyxie/Nyxu): Only 3 stars, I visited here a couple of times before and purchased things from here before. Like some lipsticks and the animal crossing palette that Colourpop had released. My only problem with this location is how rude the manager was to me on the phone after calling about a job application for this location. When I applied to be a Seasonal Beauty Advisor. I had been told that the manager had been out, and I had called the location more than once. I called when the manager was back in. Told her about my application, and she begins to tell me that she won't take me in, saying how I am not reliable as a worker. When I haven't even begun work at the location and that she wouldn't take a risk in hiring me. Making a false assumption that I wouldn't be a good worker before even hiring me is rude. The fact that a lot of places have a nondiscriminatory section on the application, but yet discriminates me on the phone. Especially from my previous job that I worked at when I was in high school for only a short amount of time. From that phone interaction alone, I haven't set foot in this place since. I won't be coming back, and I'll be shopping at a different Ulta Beauty instead.

Shely Lively: I loved going to Ulta for my makeup and hair need but I wish I could give this location a zero. The last times I visited this location the employees have been completely rude and unprofessional. I went back because I need to return a defective product, the girl that was initially helping me was trying to process the return but called another representative for assistance and that’s when it started to go downhill. She gave me so much attitude in her tone as if I was bothering her,she was talking to me as if I couldn’t understand what she was saying,her tone was VERY RUDE. She was wearing a burgundy cardigan and I couldn’t see her name because wasn’t wearing her name tag. Although this location is very close for me I would rather drive and extra 15-20 minutes to another location to avoid this type of customer service.

Hayley Smith: great store, friendly, understanding and helpful staff all around. associates are great, salon is great and always does a nice job and the benefit brow expert is always top notch. the brow expert specifically really knows how to match the energy of any customer and make them feel welcome and helped.

k czisny: After a $270 bill and the appointment that ended up taking 5 hours, my hair is orange. The salon stylists knew it wasn't okay when they had to re-tone my hair and it was still orange. They left the bleach on my hair for 2 hours even after I voiced my concerns. It was only when I got up from the chair and said my scalp was painfully itchy that it was rinsed off. My hair is fried and orange. For the sake of your scalp and hair health, don't go to Ulta. The fact that the stylist's name on their proof of certification was covered should have been enough of a red flag. But I previously thought better of Ulta. Lesson learned.

Steven Rhodes: I get that I'm not the typical Ulta shopper (being a Black guy and all) but I'm never sure if the employees here are super attentive (bordering on pushy) or are racially profiling me (likely both). I try to keep my visits at this location short...better to browse online where I can take my time without an employee magically appearing in an adjacent aisle every 90 seconds, ambling about and not restocking. Thank God for online orders! Sephora across the street at Springfield Town Center feels more....inclusive, in a word, by comparison. Wish they sold the products I use...c'est la vie

Shafiq: I’ve been here at least six times in the past month and I did not want to leave a negative review because everybody has off days but they never have an associate to help me find products and it’s kind of frustrating. Krystal Jackson: At this location they didn’t have the foundation that I wanted, but Jennifer was able to help me find a different product that is GREAT!!! She was very knowledgeable, polite and customer service was on point!!! She made sure that the product was the BEST fit for my skin… Karla helped me at the cashier and she was super polite!!! Rachel Ellis: Special shout out to Sana! Went in on my birthday after a dreaded “look at yourself in the car mirror on a sunny day” experience, hoping for some help with finding a good foundation. Sana approached me and was super kind, helpful and attentive. She helped both my partner and I apply some things to see what we liked and went out of her way to help me feel beautiful on my big day. I’m not sure if my experience is the norm, but I’d highly recommend Ulta keep up the personalized care. I ended up purchasing nearly every product she recommended and left with a big smile.

K. G. A. O.: My visits to this store usually go well. They’re always well stocked. Most people on the floor are actually helpful and knowledgeable. But My last visit is still on my mind because when I went in, I very clearly needed some help. the associate that came to my rescue didn’t just try to quickly answer my question and then send me on my way. She really listened & tried to give me options, she really tried to help me find a product that worked for me. Once we were in right section for a little bit, I thanked her & ended up sending her on her way so as to not take take up too much of her time. & that’s what stands out. Because usually workers want to shoo a customer away. I should’ve gotten her name. Customer facing jobs aren’t always the best for reasons a-z. But at the end of the day (as long as the customer isn’t a complete menace) you’re there to help service the customer. Too many places/ppl/workers (especially in this area) make you feel awkward or like a burden for taking up their time, for wanting to spend your money at their place of employment. So I appreciate the workers at this location & I hope that they’re as thoughtful, helpful, and kind with everyone that visits.

Marlena Hanna: The staff are always nice when you have questions and when you are checking out. I love that they allow you to browse and will check in on you to make sure you are finding everything you need and I like that their store is clean and organized. This is my favorite store to support and I recommend you all visit if you're in the area!

Sameea Mahmud: I was at ulta and stopped by the hair salon to ask a simple question. There was an Asian stylist (shorter black hair) there who cut me off and said “I’m with a stylist.” This service was very rude. I then went to a gentleman on the floor who was really helpful. She could’ve easily said it in a nice way. Would never step a foot in the hair salon after that rude customer service I would like the manager to talk to the stylist about customer service.

Went in today after a while of not coming just for a return. Friendly service. (Early morning) the bathroom (sink area to be specific ) needed some cleaning. They recently added a changing table which is nice and helpful.

Kim Reyes: Sullen employees with no clue- I usually shop at Ulta with salespeople who are friendly & excited about makeup and can recommend products. I asked the girl I had to hunt down to check if she had any backstock of an item that was on sale. Oh I then bought two items that both said gift with every purchase and when the sales girl rang me up I told her about it she’s like “no I don’t think so” & I said that’s what the signage says to which she replied halfheartedly “I guess I can give you a gift” even though I should have been given two!!! I will not shop this location again!!!!

The perks of a new Ulta is that all the testers are clean, new, and full of sample products ☺️ And it’s well-stocked with all my favorite brands. Usually other Ultas don’t carry everything or are out of stock of things, but this place had everything! I hope it continues to be well-stocked for years to come!

Simran Saxena: My hairdresser (Carrie) overlapped appointments and double booked. I got there on time she proceeded to tell me there would be a half an hour wait since she already had her hands full with another client. Instead of handing me to another hairstylist, she told me to come back three hours later knowing I had made an appointment. Bad customer service.

Brittany Goss: Staff were bubbly and attentive when I stopped by to pickup and online order. Their process is streamlined so the transaction was smooth and expedient as expected. One of the associates … I think maybe her name was Rachel?…poor thing, I’m dense as a doornail sometimes and she kindly came from around the counter while she had customers and walked me over to where an item was. 10/10 ladies, thanks for a great experience.

Marie L: The Silver Spring Ulta - this branch, I just cannot anymore- I really like Ulta, but this branch is uniquely NEVER well stocked, has very disorganized stock drawers that they don’t know what they have and has so much less of a diversity of items compared to any other Ulta in the DMV area. I always dread having to go to this particular location because they will say they don’t have something but if you persuade them to go through their very disorganized stock drawers or check in the back, they might find your item and it’s just because they have very disorganized drawers - particularly the Lancôme stock! And it’s not easy to persuade them to look either…they are usually more interested in feeling right than just helping to get what you need and being organized!

Sofia M.: In the past I’ve had nothing but bad luck with haircuts and all beauty services related, hence why I stopped going anywhere to get my hair cut, or so. However I decided to give Ulta Beauty Services a try and I’m happy i did. I booked my wax and style eyebrows services with Markita and I’m telling you she’s NOTHING SHORTER THAN AMAZING. She’s so great with her craft, she’s professional but above all she is kind and fun and always with a great attitude and smile. It doesn’t feel like I just got to a place to get my eyebrows done, but I go over a place where I’ll be treated as a friend more than a customer. I’m beyond happy. I fully recommend her!!!

sephoora bobby: I wish I could give zero star to this store!!! Last night around 7 pm I went to the store to buy high price lip sticks and perfumes.. No one was there to answer my questions and even after I asked chashier to call someone, No one came!!!!!! So dissapointed and I left everything on the counter and left the store sadly!! Then I called the store today morning to talk w the manager and they put me on hold for kong time and I give up to stay!!! They lose their 10 year customer due to this rude, unprofessional and not acceptable management!!!!!!

Quency Yu: Terrible experience if you choose to pick up products from store. I bought morphe eyeshadow palette and when I got home, I found it was used. There were still finger prints in the mirror. I contacted ulta and they told me I need to wait one day until the order is processed and will help me exchange tomorrow. What I am angry about is it’s not my first time to receive an used product. About two months ago, I bought colourpop eyeshadows and they were opened before. I had to drive there again and make an exchange. So disappointed with the service and don’t understand why they sell used products to customers with a new product price.

Victoria Ford: Employees very rude and disrespectful. I suggest going to a different location. They judge you and chose to help certain customers ( the ones that look like they have money ). They literally ignored me when I walked but greeted the lady that walked in behind me and Did not ask if I needed to help. So when I ask for help one of the employees looked bothered when I asked. She Would not help find my foundation shade and seemed like she had an attitude. But two minutes later the same employee was having a full blown conversation and being helpful with another customer. When I got to check out another employee was so unwelcoming and give me a look of Disgusted. I will never go to Ulta again. All I was trying to do was get make up for my birthday. One of the worst experiences ever. THIS LOCATION IS TERRIBLE!!

modana mohan: I am very disappointed with the service I receive today. I walked into Ulta to get some beauty products and to make an appointment to get my brows done. I was inform that there will be an availability at 7pm (it was 6:35) so I agree to shop around and wait. When it hit 7pm I went up to the girl doing brows and told her I am here for my 7pm appointment. Her respond was "well you will have to wait you can take a seat here" very rudely. I then ask how long it will be and again another rude respond maybe 30 mins or longer I do not know. I said "ok thank you" and walked away. I just want to say her body language and tone of voice was Horrible!!! I am so use to going to the brow bar and feeling pamper. There was no way I was going to let her touch my eyebrows or return to the brow bar. Ulta I am disappointed. I also just want to point out that the person she was taken care of did not have an appointment.

Kr Ma: Im giving 2 stars because the lady took her time, just not with me. I had an appointment for 1140. I work 2 jobs and rarely get time off but thought I would book an appointment to wax my eyebrows (haven't done that since prepandemic). Got to my appointment but the lady just started with a walkin customer. Decided after waiting 30 mins for her to finish, that I would just leave. I cant tell you if she does a good job but can tell you that appointments dont matter so hopefully you have lots of time and patience.

Kimberly McGee: My last cut/color was over 8 months ago. To make things worse I attempted to cut myself bangs during quarantine and had dyed my hair at home. As a result, my hair was overgrown, badly damaged, and had an uneven color. Holly was understanding and helped remedy my mistakes. I now have vibrant color and the cut I’ve always wanted. Holly is the absolute best! If you’re looking for a stylist who can get the results you want book an appointment with her. You won’t be disappointed. I have been coloring my hair for over 14 years and she is one of the best cosmetologists I’ve had the pleasure of working with! The salon is very clean and I felt that they are taking the pandemic very seriously. I would most definitely come back. Here are some before and after photos of my hair:

toniann jarrett: It was easy to find the products, their products were laid out properly and neatly and easy to recognize, but the customer service was a bit lacking because it about 10 minutes before I got any help

K T: I went in looking for a new foundation and the store was pretty busy. One of the associates was helping another customer and she said someone would be with me. It took awhile but Nakieira was so helpful and patient. We went through several brands and several shades before we were able to find a match. While she was pulling items for me, she was able to multitask and help other customers with simple questions. She was a one woman show! The 4 stars is due to the long wait to be helped.

Venus King: I enjoy the store's layout. I like the bath bombs and scrubs. The staff is nice and willing to help.

Daria Thibault: I LOVE this beauty store. This woman Cindy has been doing my hair there for about 5 months now. And every time she does my hair, she KILLS it! She will NOT disappoint you! She's got a great personality and is so easy to talk too!!!! They have great prices there too!!

Brittney was super helpful, professional, patient and eager to assist with my needs. I would definitely be back on a Sunday morning if I receive this level of service again. Pharas Chile: Absolutely amazing experience today! I came in for press on nails and every single person from the door to the register was so helpful! I've met really rude receptionists but I've met very sweet and hospitable ones all at the same site. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I was even followed around the store once by a white receptionist who asked me whether I wanted something everytime I picked up a product to read about its contents. As if I was going to steal...racially motivated?

Salma Mohamed-Smith: I was greeted when I entered and was immediately offered assistance which I declined. I was browsing Clinique products and was told about the free products based on how much was spent. I found what I needed and got in line to pay for my product which was double the amount I was quoted as being eligible for the free products. The receptionist wasn't particularly friendly and seemed in a rush (though was chatty with the previous customer and someone who I assume was a coworker who had come in), and when she told me my total I asked about the free products. She said the system never told her anything and she turned around to get the bag. I tried to tell her that's what the associate had told me but she interrupted and said quite loudly that the system didn't tell her anything, and then she put the receipt and the free gift in my bag and shoved it at me and held it up for me to take. There was no thank you or goodbye or anything. Mind you the free product was two items that were test sample sized stuff, and I spent over $90 that day. It wasn't about getting something free but being consistent. I think I'll go back to online orders for Clinique because this attitude isn't worth it.

Jade Stone: I was in this location this past Friday and had an amazing experience with the manager Brittany. She took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns regarding my very problematic skin. She recommended a few different products, and so far i am loving them. I will continue to shop at this location always.

Ebony Diamonds: The cursibe took 25 minutes to come out. UPDATE FRIDAY my husband and I went in the store. We were followed and the woman who followed us didn't realize I had a pick up order so she decided to be a rude Bytch and scream are we ready behind us. I will be filing a formal complaint for discrimination. I have spent more than 2500 dollars innthe last 3 months at Ulta with every single order number and invoice to match. I WILL RETURN as much as I can for the things I have not used. I will never patronize this store again.

She also makes great suggestions that turn out beautiful every single time. On top of all that, she is super sweet and a great person to hold a conversation with while you’re getting your services. She’s a 10/10!!

Norah E: Great selection and helpful staff. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted, a Giorgio Armani scent for her. However, I was struggling to navigate the perfume department, someone helped me find the scent with ease. In addition, they have many great travel size items at the front.

CM Jarrell: Self-less and patient. Those are the words that come to mind when I think of my experience at Ulta. I had the pleasure of meeting Jalisa. I’m not confident when it comes to picking out makeup, and I’m insecure about my appearance. So when I met Jalisa, I asked shamefully for help getting a new set of makeup and she helped me get everything I needed. I went only to get a foundation, but she was open to my questions even though it was clear that she was exhausted. I left with 10 items, all of which I used the very next day, confidently, because she took the time to show me how. She also listened to my desires as well. My experience in the past has been that the makeup artist would pressure me into layers upon layers of makeup with gorgeous eyeshadow designs, but then I go home and have no idea how to recreate that look. We need more approachable and customer focused assistance like I received from Jalisa. My prayer is that the right eyes and person sees this review. Also shout out to all of the staff at this location. Everyone at this store is kind and eager to help. And there are some very talented people who work in this store.

Amanda Martinez: I am really not one to complain because I’ve also worked within the customer service industry for 8+ Years but for some reason the last few times I’ve been to this location there has only been two older women working which leads to people walking out from waiting in line too long. I’m not blaming them because I’m sure it’s just a small error in under staffing but when I came in today around 545 both women left the counter leaving about 3 out of the 8 people in line to leave the store.

Tenzin Yangchen: Went in to restock my supergoop sunscreen and Khiel face wash. After roaming for about 5 mins looking for these products, I had to ask a sales associate to help. Two of them were standing and talking without offering to help. I walked by them couple times. I found out they don’t carry Khiel products. After I got my sunscreen, I walked around to check if there were any other new products I can buy. Saw a Clinic mini product gift box that comes with four products. I opened the box to see how big the sizes are and whether all four products were there since the box was open. I was planning to buy this. As soon as I opened, one sales associate called out from few feet away and said I cannot open the box, not even to see the size. Why would you not want a customer to see the product? It honestly felt humiliating and was being treated if I was planning to steal it or something from the tone of her voice. I’m not sure if I was being singled out or if this is a regular occurrence. I saw another review where a customer felt similar uncomfortable and humiliating experience. I left without buying anything. I usually shop at Sephora and had visited Ulta couple times at this location as it is close to where I live. I won’t be shopping from this location again.

Ashley Toffer: Came by a few days ago with my mother, and based off the other negative reviews this is a regular occurrence at this store. We come in to just reup on some products we’ve already used but wanted to try a new foundation, we asked the first associate we saw which was the associate Diana. She was very ignorant and inconsiderate, and not helpful at all. From the moment we asked her she seemed so bothered as if she had better things to do. The next associate to give us yet another headache was Yana. She was very rude as well and when I asked for help she completely ignored me and was just on her phone. As a beauty store the associates are the ones working the ground and should be more than willing to help out customers as it is their job. It seems as if every time we come to this store we leave having a negative experience. Will gladly be making my beauty purchases at Sephora where the workers don’t act entitled with disgusting attitudes. All that makeup won’t cover how ugly they act inside.

THE ROBERTS FAMILY: I purchased some fragrant oil that comes in a small bottle. It was filled with water and there was no oil in it. The employers (or random customers) are taking products and filling them with water. I was so upset. Check your product before leaving the store.

Betsy Dagmawi: Being somewhat new to makeup I had visited Ulta for the essentials and when asking for guidance Nikki had stepped in and went up and beyond in assistancing me. We spent a good hour together figuring what was best for me personally. Nikki would take note of what exactly I was looking for, check reviews, add in her personal experience with the product, make sure it was good for my oily/ normal skin, and look into multiple brand to ensure it was in my price range. April Sunny: I use to shop in Ulta for all my beautiful products. I do think they need to better train their staff and rent-a-cop on profiling shoplifters. I've been followed on 3 different occasions in 2 different Ulta locations to the point where I just didn't feel comfortable. I refuse to shop with Ulta anymore.

Khalilah Muhammad: Originally the order was for curbside. After much refreshing and restarting, the Ulta system could not complete the check in, so my daughter went inside for the order she placed with her card and email address. A short while later, she asked me to come in because they would not give her the order without an ID. I am pregnant and due next month, so this was quite the inconvenience. If the system worked, someone would have brought it out to us and I doubt they would have asked for ID, and if they had, we would both be right there already. Even so, there should be another method for checking identification, such as comparing cards used to make the purchase, email confirmation numbers, etc. In addition to all of this, the associate who “helped” us only mumbled a word to me, and I have no idea what she said. I only knew what needed to be done because my daughter briefed me. Additionally, I wore my mask in store and the woman who checked my ID did not ask to see my face. So again, what is the point? Especially if you aren’t going to REALLY check things. And what did she have to compare it to? I didn’t make the order, my young teenage daughter did with her own account. The woman lacked customer service skills and perhaps social skills too. I thought Ulta would be held to a higher standard. This whole experience was such a disappointment.

S. Marquez: One thing I liked about Ulta is having premium and drugstore cosmetics in one store. Unfortunately, their stock has seriously declined and on my last visit when looking for face powder, most of the shelves were empty and they didn't have items you'd find at Target or CVS. I was also buying Clinique cosmetics. No one approached me or asked if I needed help. When I found a salesperson to ask, she pointed to the product (on a lower shelf in the back) and walked away without asking if I needed anything else (I did). Once again I had to find her and ask for help in locating a Clinique product: once again she pointed and left. In the future I will get my perfume and cosmetics at Macy's or Nordstrom and buy the less expensive things I need somewhere else.

Taryn Matthews: I used to come here often. While shopping for Fenty products, I asked Carol, an associate for her opinion between two shades. She helped me narrow down the selection. As I was leaving, Carol pointed to the darkest shade (Caviar) and said, “uggh…at least you don’t need this shade.” I tried to turn the conversation around and say that it was a beautiful shade but just not the one I needed. Carol then said, “ohhh….would you say someone who needs this shade would be from Nigeria.” I said there are also black Americans and people of other cultures who require this shade. Carol tried to clean it up by saying, “oh, yes…it’s a nice color.” The damage had already been done, Carol. Ulta’s website talks about being inclusive but this employees comments did not seem to support this. I also know that the Fenty brand creates shades to match all skin types. I notified the ladies at the register when I left and contacted cooperate. I left my number and all contact information, but 3 weeks later, I have not receive a returned call about how this matter was settled. This is shameful that in 2022 we are treating skin tones like shades of paint on the wall. This shade was created because many people need it.

Margia Ahmed: My go-to place. You can find both high and low-end products. This is my first time in that store and the customer service was very good. The ulta I used to go was very slow in service .this one is different. I recommend the store.

I hate when I have to interact with her she never says bye, she has no manners and always has to make you feel dumb. I love the other girls that work there they’re always so nice but it’s just her. Cayla Carnell: I went to this Ulta and got my hair done by Taylor. She completely butchered the color and damaged my hair so bad I had to get an inch cut off. And to top it all off they wanted me to pay for my service?!?!? Worst experience I have ever had!!!

Tilly Lo: I rarely shop in store, online is more convenient for me. I needed to exchange a hairbrush, ordered wrong size. The exchange was very simple. While I was walking around, a young lady asked if I needed any help. She was very helpful and I really like her recommendation. I didn't know they have translucent loose powder which is great because I don't have to match my skin color that changes in the sun being in the sun so much hiking and exploring places with my pups. She also introduced some facial oil brands and products that I wasn't aware of. I'm really glad that I stopped by. All the Ulta stores I have shopped in always feel so nice, and feel and smell so clean.

Emily Mc: Chris Smith is the best hairdresser I have ever been to. My hair has never looked better! She was patient and kind and made sure she understood what I wanted before she began. Could not recommend her enough, especially for curly hair!

LUIGI LLAMOSAS: I went to get a cream for my mom. First time in the store. I beautiful lady asked if I need help. I showed a picture of the cream and she took me all the way to the area!! Great customer services!!

Chelsea Millis: I scheduled a consultation for a hair transformation for 12:15. I showed up literally 6 minutes late and was told that since i showed up late they took another appointment instead and couldnt be seen. It would have been nice to recieve an apology or to reschedule but they couldnt be bothered. This is not a salon, it's a place where children work.

Lorelei Burger: Fairly limited selection of unusual colors of cosmetics (I was specifically looking for blues and there were only a few) but the store was clean and bright and the employees were friendly.

Dee Dee: Very poor customer service. I went to Ulta, Sterling on 11/21/21. I needed some help finding a shade in a Bare Minerals product and went and asked one female at the checkout counter that's towards the back of the store near the hair salon and was told someone would come help me and to wait around the Bare Minerals aisle. After no one showed up for 15 minutes I went and asked the Beauty Service person but understandably she had a client waiting so she said she would ask someone to come help me and to go wait around the aisle again. 15 more minutes pass by and no one shows up. It's not like it was packed and no one was available to help. I felt really horrible to have been just brushed aside and not attended to. Needless to say, I won't be going to this store again. I do like Ulta so will have to find another location.

Samantha Payne: I made an appointment for the salon on 12/5. I was called on 12/4 and told the person assigned to me was out sick and the would need to reschedule. I gave specific details about what I wanted done during my new appointment. When I arrived over a week later I sat in the chair, talked a little about what I needed done and was then told they didn't have time to do the service since the new employee was off in one hour. Not sure how they thought they were going to color any hair with enough time for the employee to be off work in an hour. Apparently they don't take this into consideration when scheduling. There were very limited future appointments (all during regular working hours M-F) so I elected to take my business elsewhere. How unprofessional to have someone sit and wait for their appointment to tell them they don't have time once they are in the chair. They wasted 4 weeks of my time in the long run between making the first appointment to the final appointment when they "didn't have time". The manager came by since I was canceling the current appointment and said she'd speak with the salon manager about time needed for services in the future, but didn't offer any sort of apologies for wasting my time. I will never shop at Ulta again. I have far too many options where I live to support a business as unprofessional as Ulta has been.

Marylise Fabro: Hours on the door show 9pm but they close at 8pm. Woman inside saw me and I asked. She ignored me, not even a sorry. Poor way to treat your customers.

Shajiya jahan: The most horrible day of my life going to the Ulta salon. The lady Denice took literally 7 hours to give my short hair a trim and highlights! She made my hair like a clown when I wanted a subtle burgundy color. My sis a an emplyee there when she wanted to use her employee discount for me. The management first said it's fine but when I went to checkout, they were telling that siblings are not allowed! the management was unaware of their policy at first and later mistreated us as we have stolen something or taken advantages! Such a horrible disgusting manner of the managements and their employee! I ended up paying 310 dollars for 7 hours!! These people are awful and the most unprofessional at their salon!

Hanan Abdulnour: To whom it may concern, The hair stylist named Denise was very rude and forceful. The lady starts her conversation by continuously telling me that my hair is very dry, keeps asking me what products do I use , treated my curly hair very aggressively, intentionally making my Curly Hair more tangled by rubbing the towel from both sides and my hair in the middle, she brushed my hair intentionally with a small brush, snapping it out so she can pull more hair while brushing…. All that to try to lead me to the conclusion that my hair is very dry and it won’t get better unless I purchased Her Product, and only her product. She kept forcefully asking me to switch to her product, kept telling me my hair won’t retain the good color unless I purchased Her Product, and towards the end she wouldn’t let me leave without escorting me to the aisle of her product , telling me I can’t leave without buying these products. By far this is the most horrible service I’ve ever received at a hair salon. I felt as english is not my first language she thought she could bully me into submission. Because of her, I will not be returning to this location.

Alejandra De Avila: My husband and I had a terrible experience here. The moment we walked in the security guard made eye contact with us and proceeded to follows us around the entire store. Mind you we were with our infant daughter but somehow he thought we would steal. I can’t help but wonder if we were racially profiled because there were other couples there and he only seemed to be concerned about us. I will never come back to this location. DO BETTER.

Jenn Marie: Yesterday I had a hair appt for a cut and all over color with Denise. Denise is a very nice lady, unfortunately I walked out of there extremely unhappy with my hair. I was suppose to have “curtain bangs” which u can’t tell and she cut my hair with one hand, didn’t ask where I part my hair or comb it before cutting and I asked for her to color match my hair to my halo couture that is brown. (She colored my hair black) so I have to get my hair corrected. Thankfully the manager Avery refunded my money and was very apologetic.

My husband was in the cologne aisle for men, looking at some cologne. The security guard that was on duty tonight was standing near my husband watching him, like he was going to steal something. That made my husband very uncomfortable. My husband stated that he was going to purchase the cologne, but he decided not to purchase the cologne, because of the security guard that was on duty. My husband was being racially profiled. This was our first time at this Ulta Beauty. We will never come back to this Ulta Beauty.

Lauren Johnson: Cashier by the name of Silvia was rude. Bad customer service. Also, incorrectly informing customers of return policies because they won't sign up for an account, even though the return policy is on the back of the receipt. I will not be returning.

Michelle Malone: This is my third time coming to see Denise. The first time, she changed my color to a radiant copper. I’m so in love with this color. I came back three weeks later for a keratin treatment. Wow! My kinky curls were transformed into super soft and straight tresses. I’m back today for a color retouch. I can hardly wait to see the magic that will come from Denise’s hands.🙏🏾

SimplyLeonaa: I just left this location to make a return. The associate was incredibly rude! There’s a reason why I shop ONLINE. My cashier was Damoni. (That’s what it shoes on my receipt) I was rung out at 3:01 pm Thursday April 14, 2022. Either this young lady needs more customer service training or she doesn’t need to work directly with customers at all. Don’t throw a pen and shove a receipt you want me to sign. Her attitude is not customer service friendly. Not a pleasant experience for the few minutes I was there.

Courtney: Completely ignored in the store. Wanted to try new foundation and concealer but the 5 sales associates I saw in the store ignored me and were “too busy” putting items on the already full shelves. I’ll drive the extra distance to Sephora in Virginia where I’m treated much better.
