Fitzgerald Tennis Center: what do users think?

Zia: The Citi Open is when this place comes to life! Other than that it stays pretty empty year round. For tennis lovers the courts are well maintained. I would love to see it used more than just once a year.

Anna Johnson (TropicAna): Visited the park for City Open 2017. Awesome experience. The only, parking for regular guests was very unorganized. We drove all the way from Hampton, VA and then we need to go find parking and take a bus to the tournament. But the park is awesome, courts are great. Good experience

J.Brytni B: Such a nice place. I had no idea they offered so much. Including a gym, gift shop, and plenty of vendors.

Mukaram Syed: Nice setup and friendly staff.

Victoria Hübenthal: 🎾 awesome place to exercise your tennis energy!!

Brandon Wiebusch: The courts at Fitzgerald Tennis Center are great. The clay courts are a lot of fun and the hard courts are nice as well. If you are interested in training Charles is the guy to see. My tennis game has improved tremendously since I started working with him. 5 Stars!!!

18th Street Tennis Courts: what do users think?

Ben C: Really well taken care of public courts. Can get busy on the weekends so expect a wait before being able to hop on and play. Also they have lights that stay on pretty late.

Jordan Parker: Great tennis courts and great lighting. Didn’t have to wait too long to get on the court. The nice thing about these courts is that they’re fully enclosed - which means you don’t have to worry about ruining anyone else’s tennis game. Excellent place for novices and pros a like. Well lit at night time.

Stephen Browne-Pike: The net on Court 1 is low but overall this is a great place to play. Turnover was consistent at 1hr.

Natalie Fertig: Nice looking tennis courts but we waited over an hour on a Saturday morning and there was still no open court.

Juan Felipe Murcia Guerrero: The tennis courts are very well maintained. There are only two courts so make sure to come ready to wait some time before one of them becomes available.

Isaac Gilles: Well maintained, well lit, and have a beautiful view. Pretty awesome place to play some tennis!

Noor Jemilah: Had a absolute wonderful time with my soul mate! The tennis match was intense!

Rahul Dubey: Good public courts...Usually a wait of up to 30 min or you walk on immediately

Cara Fulton: Beautiful sunny day and no wait at noon.

Washington D.C. Table Tennis: what do users think?

Obi Umunna: Travel a lot to DC for work and wanted to find a place to play and train. I was amazed to find to not only find that but a welcoming community. The owner makes you feel like family. This isn’t one of those stuffy tennis club. The facility and equipment is first class.

Michael Duong: Best place to practice and play table tennis. Open space, excellent Butterfly tables and great people with good players. You can find your own table with 100 balls to practice serves or you can practice with the Amicus Robot to improve your forehand or backhand loops. Very impressive

Dylan Simon: Khaleel, the owner, is super helpful, knowledgeable, and treats you like you would want to be treated the minute you walk into his facility. I come here a couple times a month and my experience has been okay! While I wish it was similar to an experience in Germany, where you have a club which trains together, and then plays fun / competitive table tennis afterwards with a more social aspect , I can say the league comes very close to it. The league gives you at least competitive table tennis for a valuable price!

mark williams: I wish to apoligize for jumping to the wrong conclusion about the WDCTT. The owner reached out to me and invited me to come to play at the club anytime and I look forward to doing just that. It looks like a good place to play. I like to play and will be there to play next weekend. Thanks!

Rick Servoss: After playing here a few times I am very happy with what this table tennis club has to offer. The head coach Khaleel is very nice and has an uncanny ability to compliment and teach at the same time making the space enjoyable for all levels of players.

Allen Lin: Great place for all levels, highly recommend getting private lessons. Khaleel the owner is super nice, 6/5 star recommendation.

Anne Richardson: Super fun place to play for a double date. Khaleel, the owner, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. For some reason I couldn’t reserve on the app, but I just called and that didn’t seem to be a problem. We were definitely the least experienced ones in there, but the vibe was chill and other more experienced players were friendly.

Jeremiah Kelly: Owner is great, facility is clean and tables have plenty of room around them. Support locally owned businesses!

Stefan Simic: This place is a place that Washington DC was missing during past couple of years. Awesome space with multiple tables that are available for hourly play, trainings, sessions and also there is a league that is going on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays! Very good people, very competitive! If you are looking to play and practice, look no more!

Banneker Tennis Courts: what do users think?

Shameer Zahid: Great spot to get your tennis fix!

Tim Murphy: Solid courts. Just wish you could reserve them.

Slav Gatchev: Very nice, well maintained and lit but everyone knows all that and everyone therefore makes a beeline there so expect to wait during peak times. By and large people behave and vacate courts within an hour.

Emir Sfaxi: Love Banneker courts. Super well organized but always requires some wait! Some players should be reminded that 1h is the max when others are waiting

Ignacio Guinle: Tennis court is ok. Concrete is not perfect but not than bad. Really crowded after 6pm, first come first serve. Morning is the best time to play.

Marika Wieliczko: Very nice tennis courts and very cute boys 😏😏😏

Alfie Paul: These are good courts and they are lit at night. There is parking. The down side is that they are crowded in the warmer months and you often have to wait a while to play and then only get an hour on court if there are people waiting. On Saturdays a church group takes over half the courts for most of the day during the summer. The city might pay a little more attention to the upkeep as there are times when nets are a little sketchy, but overall a great free place to play.

John: great surfaces. perfect nets. free lessons on Saturday mornings.

Lyzette Wallace: The tennis courts are well-maintained.

Realtor Georgia: Very nice indoor tennis arena, Offering 6 hard surface tennis courts,. Tennis matches, tennis lessons. Highly recommended it!

Thu Pham: This tennis facility is brick and mortar. Not a bubble! I like the setup. The viewing area is in the center and you can see all the courts, assuming your vision is good enough to see the far side courts.

BM2Rambus Brandon-Mykal: I Great area! Courts are clean and have good footing... The staff are always helpful and polite.I appreciate seeing so many people pushing the sport of tennis. 🎾

Marc Schneider: Great facility for tennis and the staff has been extremely vigilant in enforcing safety regulations.

Nora Shank: Logan and his team are kind, patient and fun. My boys love them as coaches and have really enjoyed their tennis camps. The environment is laid back, small group focused but offer quality instruction in a safe environment with plenty of space to play, rest and compete. I would highly recommend these camps for all ages

Olivia Devereux: My son loves this tennis camp. The coaches teach tennis through games that kids like and allow each to progress at their own level. They are also kind and patient, and great at tennis! My son has really improved his skills in just two sessions and we will definitely put him in this camp every summer.

Kathy Hartness: Logan and his team are amazing with the kids. We have 2 in camp in different ages and they tailor the camp to the level each needs. Would highly recommend Go West Tennis!

Holly Williams: One of the only camps that my son is excited to return to each day. He attended the first two weeks this summer and the staff did a great job keeping him healthy, educated, entertained, and exhausted. 😏

Joy Harrington: Logan was a fantastic coach. My son thoroughly enjoyed his week of tennis camp.

Rock Creek Tennis Stadium: what do users think?

Alexandra Ritchie: Was able to park on or near 14th St and walk a few blocks. Very clean space, friendly staff, well organized. Good views even in the cheaper seats!

Emilie K: Came for Citi Open finals with the hopes to see Nadal. Unfortunately he didn’t make it to the end of the tournament but it finals were great! Great stadium! If any out of towners are watching a game over the summer, don’t forget sunscreen and a hat!

Sheng L: We saw the men’s semis (Nishikori vs M. McDonald) and women’s final (Gauf vs Pegula) matches last night. There is is so little information anywhere about what to expect so I had to scour through reviews from Trip Advisor, Yelp, etc. from years past. Make sure to sign up for the Citi Open emails as it’ll tell you when gates open for your sessions and provide an estimated schedule on the day of your tickets. Go to Twitter for real time updates. Our tickets said 7 pm but the men’s match that evening actually started around 6:30 pm. We were lucky enough to get a parking space at a restaurant a block away that didn’t have a time limit/zone restrictions, etc. Beware that parking for all the nearby neighborhoods becomes restricted so you need a special permit to park. Parking Lot B, which is the lot that’s on the grounds is all grass, in case it’s raining on the day of your session. Getting through the ticket line and security was quick and easy. The bag checks were merely a formality and they don’t dig around in your bag at all. Your tickets say they must be printed but I saw plenty of people getting in with the one on their phones. If you have a Citi credit card, bring it with you. You get 10% off for all purchases using your Citi card, as well as access to the Citi lounge, which is air conditioned and has TVs showing the matches. Make sure you have your Citi card out as they’ll ask for it. Only one person in your group needs to show their Citi card. You’ll be given a blue wristband so you can re-enter as you please. Freebies in the Citi lounge are: radio earbud so you can listen to commentaries about the matches, all snacks, water, soda and Gatorade. The only thing you have to pay for in the Citi lounge is alcohol but you automatically get 10% off even if you don’t use a Citi card. There were two other large, covered tents that sold a little bit of food and alcohol. Lines can get long. My boyfriend paid $13 for a 24oz can of Miller Lite. On the opposite end (think it was called the Market Square) is a cafeteria where you can just grab food and pay. I got an Impossible burger, chicken sandwich and bottle of water for $40. My burger was cold and gross but my bf said his chicken sandwich was ok. Other food options in the cafeteria were pizzas, onion rings, chicken fingers/waffle fries combo and hotdogs. Also, there was an attendant in the ladies bathroom who took tips (European style). She wasn’t handing you soap, perfume, feminine products but she was keeping the bathroom clean. The women’s line was very long so just make sure to go during a match. No attendant in the men’s bathroom though. As for the actual matches, there really isn’t a bad seat. We could only get tickets for the very last row of the nosebleed seats and even those weren’t bad. Figuring out your row was a bit tricky as the rows lettering wasn’t very clear. We were in Section 10 and halfway through the men’s match when two new ticket holders showed up, the guys below us figured out they weren’t even in the right section. I will have to say it takes awhile to focus on the match as we could hear all the noises outside of the court but maybe that’s because we were up so high. Also, there was a doubles match going on in the other court and we could hear everything the announcer said. Most of the seats on the second level were bleachers but the section behind the camera man were fold up chairs and so we’re all the seats on the first level, box seats. Some people brought cushions and even though we were on the bleachers, we didn’t think cushions were necessary. The staff was very nice and it was very quick and easy to get to our seats. All in all, a decent experience.

Jonás Porcar Ferrer: Cozy stadium. Great to enjoy tennis at the Citi open, very close to the action. The lavatories need an urgent renovation

Tejas Dave: It was a life time opportunity to see Rafa Nadal at CitiOpen 2021.

Eric Diaz: Great tennis venue. Bathrooms were not clean and very old but the rest of grounds were nice.

Yates Field House: what do users think?

Daniel X. Bandong: No music, weight racks have no labels. Highly recommend labeling weight racks to organize dumbbells. I wish it opened earlier so I can go before work or early classes. Included with tuition–unsure how much I can complain :/

Rahul Singh Khokhar: It has all the facilities no doubt, but the pathways are a bit crypted just like hogwarts in harry potter world. No clear markings or signs to guide you, and its easy to feel lonely in the huge compound. Information desk is quite helpful. Some of the alleys need renovation or at least cleaning.

Kevin Durham: Nice Equipment and Helpful Staff. Overall a great gym, note that I am a student so I am not attributing the actual cost of the gym to my rating.

Luke_1313: Great place to workout! The student staff and the professional staff are well trained and great people. I enjoy the weight room and pool.

Anne Harrison: Great gym. Older facility, but staff is unparalleled. Pool is beautiful.. Parking is tough, but I love this place.

Christina Johnson: Great place to work and awesome managers! They have machines for everything and one of the few places with a functioning lap and diving pools as well as friendly workers

Sarah Slack: This is my go to gym at Georgetown. Great place to work out but the construction currently makes it slightly challenging to access.

The Aspen Hill Club: what do users think?

E E: I never leave reviews but I specifically wanted to recommend the tennis instructor Eddie. I started by taking group beginner drills with him. He was such a great coach that I soon decided to add one-on-one lessons with him. My improvement has been very noticeable. He’s really nice, encouraging, and professional. He provides specific instruction on how to improve your technique. I’m really glad I found him (and Aspen Hill Tennis Club).

Natalia Abel: My daughter has been playing at the Aspen Hill Tennis Club for several years now and after so many years it has truly become an important part of our lives! It is an amazing place! Great Coaches and staff, wonderful programs! Coach John, Coach Elliott and Coach Julien put so much work, energy and dedication into working with the kids and ensuring that they constantly improve and succeed. Their summer tennis camp program is really great and offers half and full-day options, which has been very helpful for our family. Thanks to Aspen Hill my daughter has progressed from a beginner to a high school varsity singles player. The AHC front desk staff and managers are super helpful.

Etan Basser: This Club is fantastic! Terrific amenities, friendly staff (particularly Tim, the AHC pro shop manager), and a dedicated coaching staff. Coach Elliot especially is incredibly invested in tennis players’ improvement, always offering to provide helpful tips to that effect on and off the court

Katherine Margolis: I started going to the Aspen Hill Club when my 5 year old daughter was interested in tennis. Before long, our entire family was signed up and enrolled in classes. We love every aspect of the club. We love childminding, tennis camp, kids camp, swim lessons, tennis lessons, social events, and fitness classes. Here are a few of my favorite things: - my kids beg to go to childminding so my husband and I can do fitness classes and tennis lessons together and we don’t have parent guilt! The childminding staff and director, Mindy, are amazing. I know my kids are safe and well cared for under Mindy’s direction - The kids lessons are fun! My 6 year old just learned how to keep score with Coach Julien and now she can’t stop watching tennis with me so she can keep score! He is an amazing coach with both kids and adults. -Tennis Director Elliott encourages my entire family. My kids feel safe and welcome because of the environment he creates. He has taught my kids and my husband and I so much! He genuinely cares about everyone and takes time to listen to any concerns or questions you have. - Coach James is a fun and effective swim coach. He can work with any child including those who are afraid of the water. He’s also given me tips to help acclimate my baby to the water -The front desk staff greets us personally every time we arrive and can accommodate every request. My kids actually look forward to saying hi to the staff. - The tennis store is very helpful and convenient. Tim knows everything about racquets and equipment. And he is competitively priced!

Emma Conteh: My daughter takes swimming lessons every other weekends there. The membership director Eric was amazing. He was very polite, professional and very helpful. Thank you once again for all your help 👍🏾

Lanay Mudd: I love participating in the adult tennis programs at Aspen Hill Club! Coach Hyojoon creates great drills to improve my game, and the Doubles Frenzy social events are a lot of fun!
